My dishwasher is really a simple basic dishwasher. It is efficient and does a good job of cleaning. You can put many items in the top and bottom and the utensil basket can be moved for better cleaning or more room. If I had one complaint that would be that it is a bit too loud but other than that it is wonderful.

My husband and I remodeled our home and needed a new refrigerator... I wanted to try a Samsung, but after exhaustive research on my husbands part, he insisted we purchase a Whirlpool fridge... From the get go, I have regretted that decision. The main reason being the door on the L side of the fridge does not close completely. Sure, it alarms for a time, but what about all the times I close the door and leave the house. I have had to dispose of more groceries than I care to think about... Never again will I purchase anything by Whirlpool!

Since there is only two people in this home, we decided to go for the smaller front-loading machine. This was purchased in 2012, still running. It does a clean wash, however common sense does remind people to not over-load a front load washer. If one follows directions, it gets the job done, and ones machine lasts longer without problems. Thanks.

I purchased my stove in June 2020. I had no idea it was to be connected to the internet, but no big deal. Had I known of all the other quirks I would have thought twice. 1: A red light comes on to tell you a burner is on but not which one. 2: A red light appears when a burner is hot but it doesnt show which one. 3: Only 3 burners out of 5 can be used for cooking the other 2 are warming and melting ONLY. 4: The stove updates its software whenever it feels like it and shuts off the oven and burners. 5: Periodically I have the oven on and it just turns itself off!6: The touch controls for the oven are in a bad spot because if you accidentally touch them when the oven is on the oven will shut off.Not sure if it has any serious problems just the inconveniences listed.

My Whirlpool refrigerator needed a $400 mechanical repair shortly after the 1 year warranty expired. Its only been 13 months since repair, and the refrigerator is experiencing the same problems again! Whirlpool is plagued by negative reviews across the internet... hundreds of complaints on Yelp.ca forums, and consumeraffairs.com. There also used to be hundreds of negative Google reviews, but mysteriously all of those reviews have disappeared, and you can no longer leave a Google review for Whirlpool Corporation.

The icemakers Whirlpool has been using for the last couple of years are a PITB. They have diamond shaped ice cubes which are great but, whenever the filter nears the end of its life, the icemaker fill tube freezes up. Occasional freezes up just because. Changing the filter, although the old one supposedly has some life left, may/may not solve the problem. Filling the ice tray with foreign ice for a few days thaws the fill tube and it will generally start up again - maybe. Complete waste of time and energy!

I have purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator and it has passed only 1.5 years and I have repaired it twice. The cost of repairing is also very high. Service charge is very high so I called a local party to solve the issue. They checked and found that a capacitor and a compressor relay is not working. They replaced the two and debited a cost of Rs.1500.

I wish I knew about this known defect before purchasing. I spoke with Whirlpool Customer Care, and they want to charge me to have someone come fix a known defect. The charge is more than what I paid for the microwave. Please avoid Whirlpool at all costs!

Our Whirlpool Cabrio Washer did a decent job for the 3.5 years that weve had it. Last week, it stopped spinning properly after rinsing, leaving the clothes quite wet. The repair person said it needs a new control panel and is not worth repairing. So, we have to buy a new one after such a short time. Very disappointing. Next time, well try another brand and buy an extended warranty this time. Buyer beware!

In April of 2009, I bought a Whirlpool over the range microwave, model # MH2175XSB-5. In September 2011, a small piece of the door fell off at the hinge. Pieces have continuously fallen off and now the door is splitting, rendering the item useless. It was purchased at Lowes and I had them installed the item. Two years of service plus installation come to big bucks for a piece of trash.

Whirlpool Duet 2009 Model WFW9400SW02 - Worst experience ever with a new Whirlpool front Load washing machine. It broke down with error codes F28, F70, F71 13th month just after warranty and was leaking water. Bought 1 yr 153.00 Whirlpool extended warranty. Many reviews in internet have same complaint. Immediately had it repaired after waiting my 60 days to use warranty, but did not work after the door latch switch and one of 3 main circuit boards was replaced which was over $600.00. That was 2 visits. Fired them and had warranty company send different repair Co. They came twice with a cost of $840.00 and worked for 30 days and then had no power. 3rd repair company came out and wanted $350.00 to order part. I was offered $1195.00 cash or $1499.00 replacement top of line Whirlpool WFL98HEBU. Nice! But only 1 year warranty and I had to pay 200.00 shipping. I decided to take the money since I did not want to risk the break down on the new washer. The reviews on the new washer were not favorable with break down as the main complaint. 4 repairs in 1 year is lemon law on my warranty. My repairs were 4 in 45 days.

I have owned the Whirlpool Cabrio for one year now. I cannot express enough what a complete waste of money this machine is. It literally does not wash clothes in even the most basic interpretation of washing. Clothes are almost in the same position as when they were put in the machine. Dont even bother with stain removal, it just rubs stains in and makes them worse. Seriously beware. Very expensive and not worth one dime. Im replacing with the Maytag. I should have stayed with in the first place. I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again. Must have skipped the entire product development on this one. I wouldnt even give it a one star review but the submission wouldnt process without it. WASTE OF $$ DO NOT BUY.

The washer started to show error code for the door and washer would not restart. After removing the top of the washer and checking the door switch to see if there was a loose wire, I traced the wire back to the micro control unit, and upon inspection of the micro control unit, I found that the terminal that the door switch wire was attached to was loose and not making contact with circuit board.Although the washer is out of warranty being 7 years old, this is clearly not a part that is subject to wear and tear. The part was clearly manufactured poorly. I looked on the internet to purchase a new part but it seems that all micro control units are out of stock. This makes me wonder if one should start a class action suit as my part could be one of hundreds that was poorly manufactured. I called Whirlpool to see if they would send me another part to replace the bad unit but they said that because the washer was out of warranty, they could not help.

The exterior look of the refrigerator (WRX735SDBM00) is impressive and the stainless steel does not show finger prints easily. It has two french doors on top, a middle drawer, and the freezer drawer on the bottom. The interior is 25 cf, but there isnt much space, even with reconfiguring the shelves, and the crisper/meat drawers are so small, that a large bell pepper wont fit. When one French door is closed it pops open the other door, which then does not close back tightly. Although there is an alarm system to warn a door is open, it only works if the doors are open and not just cracked. We have to constantly push on both doors to be sure they are closed tightly, even after washing down the gasket to get a better seal.

It has to be the worst dishwashers I have ever had and we have used them for forty years. Its loud. Purchased in January of 2014: Brand new Whirlpool WOS51EC7AS01 model oven - interior bottom metal has buckled causing the enamel to crack and break off from oven bottom. I registered all my new appliances immediately for warranty. When this happened after the fourth or fifth time baking in the oven, I called Whirlpool to get a service person to look at it. First person Whirlpool scheduled to come out refused to even come out, without looking at my oven. He said he knew we did something wrong? They immediately set up a second service person, after two weeks waiting for an answer; I had to call him (twice). He said that his report and pictures sent into Whirlpool shows normal use and there is nothing wrong with our oven? So, Whirlpool will do nothing to repair the oven? We just spent almost $4,000.00 on all new Whirlpool appliances, and this is how we get treated? WOW! Never again will I ever purchase a Whirlpool product. The enamel is gone in spots from our oven floor. How long do they think that will last with no protective coating on the oven? Terrible customer service.

I came here to see if others have had problems with their Whirlpool Cabrio top load washers. I was amazed at how many others forked over nearly a grand ($1000 with tax and extended warranty) for such a heap of nothing. I have lived in the same house for over 35 years, same water supply with water softener. Over this time, I have raised my family and been lucky enough to only go through two washers until 2 years ago when I purchased this Whirlpool Cabrio machine at Lowes. As with others, clothes do not get cleaned. Residue is present and in the creases of the tightly spun and tangled load. After calling Whirlpool and Lowes on nearly day one of my original purchase, no concern was given. Instead, I received the What type of detergent or Could it be your water supply? or What degree of soil does your family have on their garments? A white terry cloth washcloth should not come out grey, even after bleach! My GE and Maytags of the past always did fantastic jobs. They just plain old wore out. As for my new energy efficient machine that takes 86 minutes to wash a load, with expensive HE detergent, an oxy clean pouch, special fabric softeners, I scratch my head wondering how can this be efficient? If a pair of jeans needs pre-soaking, it cant be done in this washer. Instead, I spray the jeans with pre-soak, add my HE products, then fill a mop bucket full of water and dump into the machine 5 minutes after the 86-minute session has started. What a joke! For two years plus, I have vented to my poor husband who thought he was buying me a new innovative state of the art machine to make my life easier. I only wish there was somewhere or someone that I could contact to get some satisfaction for my agony with this poor quality product! Yes, I am venting. I dont have another thousand dollars to spend for a new machine. Believe me, if there were to be a class action lawsuit for this lemon, I would be first to sign up!

Self-cleaning oven system DOESNT WORK AT ALL! The company rep I talked with said the system only works on lightly soiled oven and doesnt clean at all on the oven top or sides. When I explained that my oven was less than lightly soiled (I rarely use it) and that I had run the cleaning cycle twice and none of the soil was affected. Apparently the company is aware of this problem and I believe customers should be made aware of it BEFORE purchasing. I was told there was nothing they could do because my appliance is out of warranty. I asked if they had received other complaints and was told they had. I am not surprised.

Purchased on 9/12 at Home Depot. Ice maker paid for as stated in ad for home depot, did not come with fridge. Tech needed for warm food, had to repair gasket. Tech needed for cracked handle. 6 calls for freezing food in fridge compartment. No resolve. Whirlpool wanted a 2nd opinion and another tech came deeming the fridge unrepairable. Not good enough for Whirlpool. After speaking to several customer service agents, they said they do not refund or replace, only repair. I have lost hundreds of dollars of food from freezing. My fridge is reading at 31 deg. This is way below what it is supposed to read at. No call from Whirlpool since last tech came. Their customer service is terrible and cold. Whirlpool Corp. was not any help either. You can see the problem with this model if you look up Whirlpool fridge freezing food in Florida, as a woman there called ABC news and they reported it. Near 3 years ago we purchased this side by side going by how good Whirlpool products are supposed to be. Recently the bottom freezer started frosting up and not clearing. Tried all suggestions in the manual. Could not find any information online. The manual was useless. I went online to Whirlpool support 3 different times asking for help. Never got a reply. The racket it made was driving us crazy. It short cycled since it was frosting up. Set up an appointment online. They got that correct and responded quickly. Go figure. The tech came was very nice & professional. No warranty. Find out they only provide a one year warranty. That is absolutely nuts. A refrigerator should last 15 years with no major problems. Should not have needed a $500.00 extended warranty for a $1,300.00 refrigerator. Turned out 2 components needed replacing. Cost just over $400.00. Now were worried it is going to fail again in who knows how long. Whirlpool used to be a respected brand. Never again will we buy a Whirlpool product. 1 year warranty show you they know how cheap they are building their products.

Within six months of moving into our new condo, the microwave started making noises like something was loose - like a fan or something - it would sound as if something was catching and would be quiet and then begin making noise. Mostly noisy but once in a while quiet performance. In talking with adjacent condo owner, he said his had just started making the same noise. Asked some of the other neighbors; many said the same thing. Some had theirs repaired; others were ignoring. We had all moved in within a few months of each other in our Phase of completion.Called Decker and Sons where microwave purchased; they said Too bad. Call Whirlpool direct. I did. Was told I could pay to have repaired through a service company. When I said several residents had been having the same problem and it would seem a recall should be made, I was told that 250 similar complaints had to be received before a recall would be considered. If I could find that many, I should contact Whirlpool. Well, that was obviously not possible. My next door neighbor had his repaired before he sold his unit; the new owner recently said she had just replaced the Whirlpool stove because of the poor oven performance (which I have also experienced even though I ungraded) and microwave due to the noise it made. I have also learned that three other neighbors paid over $100 each to have their microwaves fixed over the last few years. I have just continued to use mine. Today an error message came up but a motor noise continued. Came to my computer to check on Error Message meaning and found this site and registering complaint for an obviously poorly constructed/engineered microwave. Obviously, Whirlpool does not care or listen. I will not buy another Whirlpool appliance! I will do my best to warn anyone purchasing appliances to not buy Whirlpool. Had the company admitted poor quality, no problem, as a production problem can occur but to knowingly disregard and ignore is inexcusable.

Whirlpool Refrigerator WRS526SIAH00. Well we have always had a lot of trust in Whirlpool appliances over the years. Just about everything we have is Whirlpool brand including water heater. We remodeled our kitchen and bought a new refrigerator in July 2013 (just for the color/look change). We have had nothing but problems from day one with the water/ice dispenser water may or may not work. Now (AUG 2015) the refrigerator side started freezing our food, milk and tea gallon jugs frozen solid. Went down a self fix list on an appliance parts website using our fridge symptoms, said it was probably the bimetal defrost thermostat. Replaced that part. It didnt fix it.So I did my own troubleshooting and found the cold air was continuing to push from freezer into fridge area, found this cheaply made plastic damper broke and stuck open. Now that part will cost another $50+. Whirlpool knows about these cheaply made parts they have put in these appliances. You cant even get to this part without taking things apart. This is a cheap manufacturers plastic part and Whirlpool knows it. Its not the consumers fault. It was a joke when we received an extended warranty offer from Whirlpool for just $208 per year or $626 for 5 years - I wouldnt spend another dime with Whirlpool. The price is high because they know how many parts are breaking on these units. You shouldnt have any repairs for 10 years on a refrigerator. We are stuck with a lot of Whirlpool products now, but we are done with this brand. Dont waste your money.

I purchased a 50 gallon Whirlpool water heater, model FG1J5040T3, in November, 2005, and have had the same experience as reported by the hundreds of others, whose comments I have been reading. Basically, pilot wont stay lit. I called Whirlpool, relight the heater, when it doesnt relight, wait to receive repair parts, call a plumber, and pay to have them install it, then repeat same problems. Each time going for a week or so, without hot water. After relighting the heater 10 times in the past year, and service calls, Whirlpool authorized me yesterday to return it to Lowes, and get a replacement. I need to hire a plumber to unhook it, haul it to Lowes, get the new one, and install it. It cost me about $300 to $400. Will the replacement be any better? I am considering just replacing the heater with one made by Rheem.

We bought this combo at Lowes and was looking forward to their arrival. Unfortunately, we have had so many problems with both appliances. The washer is constantly having an error and we can only wash clothes on the quick wash cycle or else it will shake like crazy, get an error, and stop. We had the washer a little over a year when we had someone come look at it. We were told there is something wrong with the load sensor and it was going to be $350 to fix it. As for the dryer it will dry for a little bit and completely stop (no error) and restart later on by itself. I have been a devoted Whirlpool customer but not after this. It still cleans our laundry very well and we are getting our moneys worth from this washer.

I have bought two Whirlpool water heaters and with each one have had the same problem: the pilot light will not stay on. I have to continually turn the pilot light on each day. I have replaced the entire flame/pilot/thermal couple assembly several times. Each time I use the unit, it works for about 2 weeks, then Im back to turning on the pilot light every day. Im convinced that there is an inherent design flaw that Whirlpool should be forced to deal with. It seems that this should be a fraud case to sell a known, documented, defective product. Shame on you Whirlpool! Its obvious that its all about the money! Band all Whirlpool water heater products!

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator (model number model ised5lvaxwq00) about 14 months ago. The icemaker would not work when delivered. I had it fixed. Several months later, it quit working. It cost $200.00 to have it repaired. The ice door stopped working. I called Alabama Power to repair the icemaker. He advised that it would cost around $300.00 to repair. We are on a fixed income and cannot afford to have it repaired. On investigation, I found hundreds of complaints about the same issue with the icemaker flap. I would appreciate you trying to eliminate this problem.

When we moved into our home this past year there was a Whirlpool gas stove model number W10406473A. We have the plastic knobs on the front of the stove which need to be pushed and turned in order to turn on the gas. I recently ran into a serious problem where my cat walked across the knob area and pushed and turned the knob causing the gas to come on the stove. This is a problem due to the fact that a child could have also have easily turned on this stove. This is a definite fire hazard as well as a carbon dioxide problem. I warn anyone with this stove to replace it with another make or model immediately. Im in the beginning mode of looking to see if a recall has ever been made on this model.

I purchased a front loader Whirlpool Cabrio washer/dryer in June of 2011. I was sold an extended warranty which ends June 30 of this year. I have made 4 calls to the Co which warranties the washer because it is making squeaking noises on the spin cycle. I was refused service because the customer service rep didnt “hear” anything. I finally had a local service Co check out the machine and was told the motor needs to be replaced and if under warranty I should demand it be replaced. I called again and still cannot get NSI to come out and see the problem.

I bought this Whirlpool America dishwasher because it was cheap. Even though Im Canadian, I like patriotism and I could get behind the American flag logo on the washer. Let me just say, if you like when food comes off your plates, and attaches to your cups, then this is the dishwasher for you. It is always a surprise when you open the door to discover which dishes have been cleaned, and which dishes have inherited the food particles from the now clean dishes. This appliance really helps you work on time management as you are required to wash all your dishes before you put them into the dishwasher. 0/10 would not recommend for anyone who wants clean dishes.

We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer & dryer. The glass lid design is VERY POORLY constructed and should be replaced by Whirlpool. We paid over $200 the first time the lid broke and was told this is going to be a continuing problem. They were correct! We subsequently replaced the lid 2 additional times only to have the same break on the right hand side causing the lid to pop up. Something must be done and WHIRLPOOL need to care for their machinery. They should replace the lids or provide a major incentive for consumers to replace the washer. PLEASE DO SOMETHING!

Wife and I bought a WRF990SLAM00 fridge in 5/2013. Seemed like the nicest model Lowes had at the time. The first one delivered had problems: it wouldnt stand level or seal properly, and had to be replaced. Another unit was delivered a few days later. This one - the same model - worked very nicely, for a year and a half. A few days ago, it got loud. My wife noticed in the freezer, some things were beginning to thaw. We called Whirlpool, who said, Oh, its over a year, and youre out of warranty. Sorry! Ok, so they suck. After we had a technician examine the freezer, he suggested, This is something Whirlpool needs to address. It wasnt the first (or fourth) problem with this fridge that hes seen. Called Whirlpool again, this time to gripe. Sorry, youre more than a year, so no warranty BUT, well sell you a service contract for $330! Hows that sound? It sounds like Whirlpool just disqualified themselves from ever getting their hands on another dollar from my family. Theres too many other companies who DONT treat their customers like garbage.

Update Review on 10/15/2020: New refrigerator 12/31/19. 4/27/20 Fridge terribly noisy, called Whirlpool directed to local provider. 5/5/20 Fan replaced, drawer clip broken. 5/11/20 Drawer repaired. 5/21/20 Fridge not keeping up, repair company said new compressor needed. 7/6/20 After numerous calls and literally hours on hold with Whirlpool compressor install but still seemed noisy. 9/30/20 Fridge partially cooling, no ice and water dispenser not working. Repair company ordered new evaporator cover and UI panel.10/15/20 Neither the repair company or Whirlpool know when the parts will be delivered. Whirlpool has no record of their being a service call or parts ordered. I talked to one rude, unhelpful and uninformed service rep. After following their instructions and using their recommended warranty provider, they claim not to have the issues in their system and cant be used to determine the repair/replacement of their unit. He indicated, You need 3 major repairs in 30 days to get a replacement fridge. It took them 6 1/2 weeks to repair the compressor. How can it break that many times in 30 days with that bad of service. Nothing is repaired in 30 days. The current rep seems to care and have a working knowledge. She is sending a request to determine when a part might be delivered. She couldnt give any indication of when the part might be delivered to complete the repair. Days? Weeks? Or again Months? An hour and a half on the phone with very little progress. New refrigerator with 3 major repairs and one small one in 9 months. Terrible refrigerator and extremely poor service! Go with another brand.Original Review: Refrigerator new in January 2020. The first issue was an extremely loud fan.It was replaced. While being repaired, service tech broke a tab on the door. (It happens) Another call to replace the tab. During May I notice its not making ice and freezer isnt keeping up. Lose all items in freezer. Now the 4th call on new refrigerator, tech says needs a compressor and orders while at my house. Soon the refrigerator isnt keeping cool. Now 34 days later, still not fixed. Whirlpool service provider blames Whirlpool. Whirlpool says they are shipping compressors but cant exactly say mine is delivered. Apparently, 4 service calls in 5 months and over a month with a totally broken refrigerator is their bar for a good product and service. Neither their approved service provider or Whirlpool care in the least. Awful service. Try another brand!

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer in 2007. They have been the biggest pieces of junk. One year after my purchase, the water pump broke and had to be replaced for $100 and that is with my husband doing it. Then the dryer broke twice. Now, the washer is not spinning. He took it apart and I purchased $80 in parts. It still doesnt spin. He thinks the motor went and it gives a p50 code. This washer does make holes in your clothes. So many of my summer tops were ruined because of this washer. A friend has the same washer and she started getting the holes in the clothes, so that is how we figured it out. Today, I went and picked up a washer at my rental home, a GE that is 10 years old. My clothes never felt cleaner and it runs like a charm. That Cabrio always smelled like mildew because it seemed like all the water didnt drain out of it and it would sit in the bottom. What a shame. Its only 6 years old and I paid $800 for it and for parts. My husband cant wait to put it on the curb on garbage day. My friend warrantied hers and when the guy couldnt fix the problem, they gave her partial money back. At least she got something. These should be recalled and we should get partial money back depending on how old it is. I will tell everyone not buy these. They are the biggest pieces of junk!

In January 2021 I purchased a front load Whirlpool washer and matching dryer. They were delivered on February 6 2021. The first load we found water on the floor. I thought I didnt close the detergent drawer so I proceeded with the next load. Again I found water this even through the ceiling tile in room below. So with the next load I sat in laundry room to see what was happening. When on the rinse cycle water shoots out the front of the dispenser drawer.Contacted service, they sent repair man. He ordered new parts and I waited over 3 weeks for next repair call to find out that whirlpool had part all along. Repair man came again and still no resolution to issue. He was told to order same parts again - still no resolution yet again. I fought with Whirlpool till they said they would give me a new machine. Now fighting because delivery people wont uninstall 1st washer and install new machine. Today is June 28 2021 and I still DONT HAVE A WASHER TO USE. I havent even used the dryer yet. I have $3400 and numerous hours with Whirlpool trying to resolve this issue! Can you help? Whirlpool continues to string us along, telling us to be patient, theyre doing their best.

After the one-year warranty ran out, my wife ran the self-cleaning feature, which since Ive found is a well-documented problem in online forums. The oven overheats and blows out the thermostat, fuse and some other cylinder device, all in all a $600 repair. I am furious that both Whirlpool and Ikea (where we purchased the electric oven) keep completely silent on this issue, not bothering to tell homeowners to use this function at their own risk. Just wipe it out! The well known nature of this self-destruction and potential high cost of repair should be information given to consumers, but of course this would affect their sales numbers. I replaced a 4 year old Whirlpool dishwasher with a new Whirlpool dishwasher on 01/18/2019. July 2020, dishwasher failed. Finally got Whirlpool to send out a repair technician and was advised that the sump and motor had failed. This is after only a year and a half. Whirlpool will not back their product because I did not send another $200 for a service plan. So basically whirlpool cant even guarantee that their product will even last a year.My 4 year old dishwasher had the same issue which is still unacceptable. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator that almost burned down my house and just replaced a failed Whirlpool stove with a Samsung. I wish I could say what I am replacing this dishwasher with, but I am too frustrated to even look for a replacement after only a year and a half. Replacement parts will cost $250 just for me to do it myself. Do yourself a favor and research the product. Should you spend more? I cant answer that. Twelve years ago we bought an LPG Whirlpool range for our new home in Rio Rancho, NM. About 5 years ago, a tenant at our home reported a gas leak and the propane company determined that the Whirlpool range was at fault. The dealer in Albuquerque repaired the leak, by replacing all the valves at a cost of $470. A week ago, after a propane fill, once again, at least one valve was found to be leaking. Apparently, Whirlpool does not know how to make a valve that holds up over time. Over a 7 year period, I paid almost double the cost of the stove, only having to replace it at 12 years. These stoves are DANGEROUS! I will not purchase another Whirlpool product for the rest of my life.

Weve had this washer for about 9 months now. We noticed that the loads being washed small or large werent coming out clean. When wash cycle finished items were covered in soap residue and or had large dry spots where water had never touched the area. When our sheets were washed in bulky/sheet cycle and deep water this happened. Maytag sent out repair person to find the water pump went bad, pump was replaced. After repair same bad washing results as stated previously. Maytag then sent out repair person for the second time. This time the main electrical board was replaced. Still after two repairs wash loads are still coming out dirty, soapy, dry in spots in any of the selected wash cycles large or small. Third call to Maytag and a third scheduled repair date coming up in a few day. Over the phone the Maytag employee only words of wisdom was, Did you buy the extended warranty. I purchased a Whirlpool Water Heater Model # ND50T122-403 on March 4, 2011 from Lowes. I had it installed by Lowes and it included a 12 YEAR Manufacturers (WHIRLPOOL) WARRANTY, plus I purchased an additional 11 YEAR EPP (Extended Protection Plan) WARRANTY. About 3 weeks ago I had no hot water so I went down to my basement to check the water heater and it displayed 7 single blinks followed by a 3 second pause, which is a flammable vapor sensor lock-out code. I made sure there was no flammable vapor in the area, turned off the gas and pulled out the plug then called Lowes since I have an active warranty with them. They said I had to wait 3 business days for them to call back to set-up an appointment to have it repaired. I waited 3 business days including the weekend and no one called me back by the end of the 3 business days, so I called Lowes back and they set-up an appointment for a video store owner with a plumbing license to come over and try to fix it. Finally I thought I would have hot water after over 2 weeks without it, but the plumber started taking it apart and about an hour later said he needed to order a part and he would be back another day when he gets the part. He came back 2 days later to install the part and fix it, but he could not fix it. He called Whirlpool to report the issue and Whirlpool told him they would not honor the warranty because my basement was not safe. He then told me he would call Lowes to let them know about Whirlpools position and call me back. So when he called me back he said Lowes said the current warranty was under Whirlpool and their warranty was only effective after the initial 12 year manufacturers warranty was up, so they would not help any further. So after only 4 1/2 years with a 12 year manufacturers warranty and an additional 11 year extended protection warranty that I purchased from Lowes, Whirlpool will not honor the warranty that came with this water heater. I am going to take this to small claims court. Whirlpool and Lowes have terrible customer service policies. I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product and I will NEVER again shop at Lowes. Please do NOT EVER buy a Whirlpool water heater! TAKE YOUR CLAIM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT FOR SATISFACTION! Maybe an attorney will put in another class action suit against Whirlpool and/or Lowes.

They tell me the repair person will have parts on the truck. I wait four days, guy comes out and says, You need a control valve.... did they send it to you? So I had to call Whirlpool back and order the valve... three more days... Very next day after repair, the thing shuts itself off again! In my opinion, Whirlpool has reached the top of a list shared by other mega companies like Bank of America and Time Warner Cable... Too bad the accolade is for the worst product and customer service. DO NOT BUY Whirlpool.

Do not buy a Whirlpool refrigerator. This is the 3rd time I have to call in repair for the ice maker in 4 years. Water poured out on my floor for the 3rd time ruining my floors. Called Whirlpool and said there is nothing they can do to help me. They don’t care about their Customers! I could have bought a new one by now based on repair costs. They don’t back their products. I’m really annoyed now!

My refrigerator is now 5 years old. I have a stainless steel fridge. I didnt even have my fridge for 2 months and the one door started to rust. Whirlpool did fix that but now my fridge isnt staying cold. My extended warranty was just up 5 months ago. Figured some of the repairmen that we have called wont touch our fridge because they say the model that we have breaks a lot and that Whirlpool discontinued making this model. I am disgusted with this fridge.

Less than 1 year ago, I bought a washer and dryer. From the beginning, we have had a water problem and the water only comes cold... no warm water in the normal cycle. They came 6 times to service the machine and they cannot fix it. They said there is nothing is wrong with the machine but it does not wash with warm water in the normal wash cycle. I advise not to buy this product anymore. It is under a warranty so they should fix it or replace it. I am sick and tired of talking to them. They said if we send the service guy then I have to pay for it which is not acceptable because it is under a warranty. If anyone is thinking about buying this product, I advise not to get it and waste money on it.

My Whirlpool has been in use about three years. It was purchased on sale at a very reasonable price. My only complaint is the heat dry function which somewhat fulfills its purpose, but I usually have to hand dry some dishes. Overall, it is an average dishwasher that gets the job done. The best feature is that it is very quiet; you barely notice that it is running.

We have a 2 1/2 yr. old Whirlpool gas stove. We have had the mechanic here several times as it would not ignite. We also have had the control panel repaired twice as it melted. It is melted again but they will do nothing. I tried to clean the oven with their AquaLift technology and had to re-do it four times and still have residue which appears to be permanent. We are very frustrated with it. We have used Whirlpool appliances for over 40 yrs. but will not buy another. Model#WFG710HOASO, Serial#R21712236.

I am very disappointed in my purchase of Whirlpool High-Efficiency washer and dryer. It does not clean my clothes! I have white towels in my bathrooms, I have them for years. They have always come out perfectly white with the regular washer I had for years. Not any more! They now come out with yellow spots all over them. Dark clothes come out with a white residue on them that looks like there has been a napkin in the wash. I talked to Sears where I purchased it, they said I might be using too much detergent, so I have tried using less to no avail! I hate my washer!

One year to the day after the warranty expired, the meat drawer in the refrigerator began filling with water. Two repairmen have been to my home and cannot repair it due to a design flaw. Also, I had to pay for a cracked bottom tray that happened during delivery which I didnt know occurred at the time. Whirlpool is now ignoring my phone calls and emails. We paid in excess of $800 last year. What am I going to do now? Buy another refrigerator and get rid of this one? I dont make that kind of money and I feel Whirlpool should stand behind their products. This model is not even on the recall list so that means to me that other consumers buying this model are getting ripped off also. The customer service people say sorry but wont budge on reimbursement. I was told they cannot honor my request. Whether this was under warranty or not, it still cannot be fixed according to the repair tech that was at my home. I need to find someone to help me before this lemon I bought decides to burst into flames. I want a replacement refrigerator, not this model of course, of equal value. I am not asking for the moon, just for something that works beyond one year. In this economy, we cant afford to buy a major appliance after one year. My car is still running and I bought that in 1985. Please find someone to help me. I thank you for your time.

On December 21, it became clear that I needed to replace our 13-year old Rheem water heater. We decided to buy one from Lowes, 36 miles away and have a handy man install it. He installed the new Whirlpool 50 gal gas water heater with a 12-year warranty on Friday, the 22nd, but could not get it to stay lit. He called Whirlpool to troubleshoot. They said it could be one of two parts and that they would ship the parts on the Monday after Christmas. He asked who would install and they recommended a local plumber. He called that plumber but they indicated they did not do Whirlpool warranty work and would have to charge. On Monday, I called Whirlpool and was assured the parts would be shipped that day for overnight delivery. I confronted them about the local plumber not doing their warranty work so they set up an appointment with a company called A&E for Wednesday morning. On Tuesday morning, I called Whirlpool to get the tracking number on the parts and was told that they did not get shipped on Monday as promised but would be shipped that day, arriving by the end of the day Wednesday, too late for the appointment for installation.By Tuesday night, my wife got on this site and was appalled to read the numerous identical complaints. I decided that Wednesday morning that I would hire a plumber to remove the Whirlpool and install another so we would not have a lifetime of problems from Whirlpool. The plumber installed a different water heater. It started right up and we have had no problems since. I got an R or RA number from Whirlpool which I think they only gave me because the parts had not arrived on time and I returned the piece of ** to Lowes for a refund. Lowes has a seven-day return policy of these.

I had purchased a microwave oven on 18 April 11 and they delivered it to me without accessories. As I was a first time user, I didnt have any idea that the accessories are available with the oven. However, when I came to know after 5 months, I asked them about it and they did not respond to me properly. Even when a Whirlpool engineer visited my residence, he did not ask for the accessories for the demo purpose. The warranty paper has not been filled out by the dealer or the engineer; it is still blank. I tried to put a complaint through the customer care number but they did not respond to me properly.

I have not had any problems with my Whirlpool refrigerator. It is four years old and has had two owners, including myself. It has the stainless steel look and has top to bottom french doors, one side is the freezer and the other the refrigerator. Both sides are equally the same size. It has a filtered water dispenser and ice maker in the door. Id say for the price it is a really good value.

I just bought a Whirlpool 50-gallon water heater from Lowes because my old one took a turn for the worse. I brought it home, installed it just as the directions said, and immediately got an FVS fault detected code as soon as I plugged it in and tried to ignite it. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with an appliance. And wouldnt you know it whirlpool service center is closed on weekends. What an absolute piece of trash. Im draining it and taking it back ASAP. Lowes and Whirlpool just lost my business for good.

We purchased this washer in 2017, its the top loading Cabrio washer and it has been nothing but junk since day one. Purchased from RC Wiley in Boise and unfortunately did not buy the extended warranty because we trusted that this American company would make a washer that would last longer than 3 yrs. This washer barely washes clothes, leaves a residue on them since there is no agitator, also constantly gets unbalanced or gives and error of LF which means water supply issue when there isnt one. My 15 yr old about has a heart attack when he uses the quick setting and his clothes arent done in an hour and a half. Ive even resorted to turning the thing on to just rinse and spin so things get done sooner, still the stupid washer just sits. I would sell it but I dont want to pass on the pain, so its going to the dump to or to Goodwill cause its not worth the headache. Too bad you cant trust an American company to make a good product. Sad I really wanted to like this washer.

The smell from the washer has gotten so bad we have to keep the door closed to our laundry room, or the smell will permeate the whole front part of the house, as it is we have to keep the door to garage which is adjacent to laundry room open to air out laundry room. Our friends and guests, are aways telling us we have water leak or something mildewing, or rotting in our house. The washer works well, and I cant find any buildup. We frequently run it through clean washer cycle, it smells OK for a hour or two, and odor returns!

Weve had this Whirlpool 5000DW1 machine since June 2017. Never fills with enough water no matter what cycle you pick! Clothes come out with DRY areas on them! Obviously not clean. I chose based on the current ratings of the machines. They look nice and they can handle large loads. I think EPA has changed wash machines to be back into the 1920s. I put my clothes in and there is no agitator in the center. My clothes come out twisted tightly into little round circles or balls, not much water but now it takes over an hour to wash my clothes. So we are conserving water but using more power, I also have to iron sheets and clothes because they are so twisted and wrinkled. I used to stick my clothes into the washer, select a cycle and go on my way and now I have to answer 5 other selection options, if I dont hold the button in long enough it just turns off.Have we all lost our minds, I think this is going backwards not forwards. I have talked to other women and they agree with me, we HATE these new washer and dryers. The dryer is a little better but not much. Also the tops are concave so your laundry basket falls off, and you cant put your soap on the dryer which is where I am used to having it. Now I have to clean my washer every 30 cycles, iron and it takes all day to do the laundry, yes and they call this progress, really!!! I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio W10607 425A- SP and dryers Whirlpool W10680129C-SP, these are full size and have the steam options on them and are side by sides.

I bought a 3 burner glass hob under your built-in cooktop category (model no. AKCG 930-90 cm) in Nov. 2015 from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. In the month of April 2015 I started having problems with the medium burner. The problems was rectified on 29-4-2017 after some replacements that cost me Rs. 5000. After two months again the same problem occurred, the medium burner was not igniting again, I registered a complaint on 5-7-2017, the representative came and did some maintenance and left but the same problem resurfaced after a few days.I was fed up of complaining and started using the burner during necessity by placing a weight on top of the knob. Finally on 15th Feb 2018 while I was using the stove the glass top cracked into pieces. My experience of the companys built-in cooktop is horrible and bitter. Every time I registered a complaint the representatives used to attend the complaint after 2 weeks and that too after so many phone calls. I am really dissatisfied with the service and quality of the product. I therefore strongly recommend customers not to buy this product.

Model #RF262LXSQ Serial #RT2031953 - I purchased this appliance from Lowes approximately 6 years ago. Last week, I was heating soup and about 5 minutes after I placed the pot on the stove on medium, I heard a large pop and then several cracking noises. When I entered my kitchen, I found the burner flaming red, and when I tried to remove the pot, it was stuck. I immediately turned the burner off and after a few minutes, when it began to cool, was able to remove the pot. What I found was the glass top had melted and blistered and was cracked from front to the back of the stove. Although Lowes was not able to help me, they suggested that I contact you as they had never heard of this happening before. Not only am I dissatisfied that a stove should last many years past this purchase, I am inconvenienced until another stove can be delivered. I believe this to be a factory malfunction of the stove and request a credit for my purchase.
