Whirlpool Dryer Model WED4815EWO and Whirlpool Washer W10682799 - I have always had great results with Whirlpool products. Both are energy efficient and save on operating costs. I purchased them three (3) months ago. The washer locks during the wash cycle. That took a little getting used to. I have always been able to rely on Whirlpool products. The top loading washer (W10682799) is energy efficient and high capacity. It regulates the water level so you dont have to worry about wasting water. The matching Dryer (WED4815EWO) has a sensor to regulate your drying time or it can be manually set. I appreciate the worry free, self-regulating functions on both the washer and the dryer.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW7800XW is 13/14 months old (1 or 2 months out of standard warranty). We use it 3 to 4 times a week. The lid hinge developed a crack 2 or 3 months ago. Last week, it failed completely making the washer unusable. Investigations show that a new lid is around $250 plus tax and service call (approx. $500 complete). On contacting Customer Service, they continued to say monotonously out of warranty even though it is obvious to even a layman that this hinge/lid is not fit for the job and the manufacturing material has failed. They kept reeling off all sorts of protocols but would not send any of them as a copy. This is the worst service I have had from any company. The service is despicable and they should be ignored and banned from every consumer list. I appreciate that it is out of warranty, but the runaround I am getting seems to me that they expect their product to fail after the warranty expires and they are not surprised at all by catastrophic failures so soon.

Purchased a home recently that had a Whirlpool dishwasher installed within it. Havent lived here for more than 2 weeks. Go to use the dishwasher a week ago and the dishwasher wont turn on. Its brand new! We tried resetting the breaker and all the tricks on the website page. So we called Whirlpool to have them send someone out and diagnose the problem... a week later. The appliance repair man comes out and says its not receiving the proper voltage for the dishwasher to run. So I contact the electric company that installed the electric wires within the home and they came out the next day to check their work. The electrician found that there was the proper voltage coming into the lines for the dishwasher to run and in fact it is the dishwasher. So at this point Im back to square one and called Whirlpool again. At this point, I just wanted them to replace the dishwasher with a new one (same model, no upgrade) since it hasnt even been 30 days of owning the thing and its already having issues. I havent even used it once. I didnt think I was crazy for asking for a new one. Especially when the problem seems to be electrically related. They tell me another person has to come back out and deem the product unrepairable for them to exchange the product for a new one. They tell me its going to be yet again another week for someone to come deem it repairable or not. But wait heres a 75 dollar Visa gift card for your inconvenience. How about you spend the 75 dollars on hiring a technician to come fix it today? Had a similar problem with a LG appliance and they sent me a new one with no hassle without even sending a tech out to see if it was repairable or not. Buyers beware! Dont waste your money on Whirlpool. Clearly they do not care about their customers. They would rather spend more money in technician fees than to just admit their product isnt functioning correctly and replace it.

We have had nothing but problems out of our refrigerator in the past 5 months. We purchased it a year ago in April and they have already replaced 7 parts on it. It still doesn’t freeze, and we have no ice... We will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product ever again!!!

I had the Whirlpool side by side GSC25C4EYW00 less than a year. The vegetable bin - 2nd from the bottom - front panel broke off. No wonder, there are 2 tabs holding it to the rest of the bin. Its cheap, brittle plastic. Come on, Whirlpool, you have to do better. What a disappointment. Dont buy one.

This is an AMAZING dryer. Probably the best I've ever used. My husband & I live in a mobile home so our main reason for purchase is the fact it is VENTLESS & it's compact. The dryer is so quiet. You can hardly hear it with a tv going. It doesn't take any more time to dry than another modern dryer. The end result are damp clothes, however there is enough steam and heat left in the bin at the end of the cycle to where if you fluff the clothes they'll be dry in a matter of seconds. The dryer acts as a dehumidifier by capturing moisture from the air it uses. All the features are up to date and easy to figure out. It's worked extremely well since we've had it and I'm happy to say we LOVE IT!

Have an old Estate by Whirlpool, still going, no problems, washes well. I can control the wash by adding more water, stopping it and restarting it. There is nothing like the old washing machines. I have seen and used the latest and greatest, but they cannot compete.

Note that most of the complaints are about gas water heaters, but the electric water heaters dont seem to be much better. Mine, barely made 4 yrs old and both elements and thermostat went. Had plumbers in for estimates in to repair - much cheaper to install a new one (No...not a Whirlpool!). Very disappointed in the product.

I bought a new home from Pulte recently. All of the kitchen appliances were Whirlpool which came with a 1 year warranty. I have had problems with 2 out of the three that were installed. The oven had a faulty control panel. I am still waiting for the replacement from Whirlpool which I am told could be months getting there. The dishwasher they installed, FX1700017, leaks water from the vent at the top of the door. When you open the door after running a load, there is a puddle under the vent from water that is trapped in the vent. The service company that they sent out said it is a design flaw and there is no fix for it.Whirlpool just keeps saying since there arent any error codes coming up, there isnt a problem with the way the dishwasher is functioning. I was told I could pay for another opinion, but they wouldnt guarantee to reimburse me if they couldnt prove the dishwasher wasnt functioning properly. I guess they dont consider someone slipping and falling because they didnt see the puddle before it got cleaned up a problem. I have given up trying to get anywhere with Whirlpool. I will take my $150.00 for a second opinion and the $200.00 that they want for an extended warranty and put it toward a dishwasher that doesnt leak! Beware!!

Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer 5 years ago because our other washer died after coming home from vacation. Its just 2 people in this household so I dont do mountains of laundry. The other machine lasted 15 years so go figure. We purchased the Cabrio from Lowes. Got the extended warranty but as it goes the machine fails when all warranties expires. Over the last couple of weeks this machine started to not complete a wash cycle. All lights go off except for spin light and machine stops. Even asked the person in charge of washers and dryers at Lowes about this who then told me to get an extension cord and plug it into a different outlet. Seriously! I have had to unplug the machine after it fails to complete cycle, wait 5 minutes or so, plug it back in, select rinse and spin, it fails again 13 minutes left in cycle, unplug again, plug it back in, select drain and spin, wait for it to MAYBE complete that cycle. Do not purchase this type of machine. Just for a technician to come look at it is $100 or more and to replace whatever circuit board is probably another $300 or more. Screw that! Going to find a good old fashion one if possible. Piece of junk. Not going to spend $700 or $1000 just to wash clothes for 2 people.

Worse washer I ever had. Doesnt get the clothes clean. Called repairman. He said its designed to only fill machine so far so the country can save on water. Meanwhile Im washing the clothes twice, so what water is being saved? Government idiots!!! Can I get a new washer not unless I pay for it. Now just wasted money on a new washer and now my water bill is twice as much! Go figure!!!

Right from the start of buying a new suite of Whirlpool appliances, the light over the range burnt out. We figured it was just a bad bulb so we replaced it. Soon it burnt out again, replaced it again, then again it burnt out. I finally called Whirlpool about the problem and found out it is the electronic panel that needs to be replaced... Of course at a full charge to me! I am so over WhirlPoo, (yes I spelled it that way on purpose) every single appliance has had issues. I have just lived without a light over my range because fixing it is more expensive than buying a whole new microwave. Never again will I buy any WhirlPoo appliance!

First, I was put on hold by the first female for 44 minutes, and then a second woman finally answered, and said she didnt know why she would send me to her, because she was in the sales department, and she put me on hold for another 25 minutes. I finally had to go, because I had an appointment. When I got home, I called back, and got a man by the name of John, and at least he recommended he could schedule a repairman. The problem I told him is, the inside wall of my refrigerator has 2 cracks on the side, and a crack on the back wall. I dont want a repairman to come, just to tell me he cant put 2 new walls inside of my refrigerator. I could not find an email, so I could email Whirlpool about this problem, and definitely, they were of no help. I bought the refrigerator at Lowes late 2003. I have never, in my life, seen the inside walls of a fridge do this. I spent a lot of money for this, for it to crack on the inside walls. It does not seem like something is right with this.

Purchased a Jenn-Air single wall oven model JJW2427WS after seeing it displayed in an appliance store. Oven was installed as directed. Upon viewing the panel, I discovered that it does not light up. You cannot read the function or numbers, never mind start and cancel without a flashlight. I have been a Jenn-Air customer for over 20 years. This is the first time I have been disappointed. Also, has this model been discontinued or recalled?I wrote to the CEO of Whirlpool and explained my problem. I was told that this is not a functional problem, but perhaps a design dissatisfaction. I cannot believe that there are other consumers who are not having difficulty using their appliance without additional lighting in their kitchens.

I have had this Whirlpool Cabrio washer for 4 years. I had to rebuild the drive unit once and now the control board is bad. If I didnt do my own repairs I would have spent well over the cost of the washer in the 4 years I have owned it. This is the worst washer on the market. Not to mention Whirlpool support will not work with you at all. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

LEDs on control panel started going out in four months. It’s a 400$ part. Under warranty but what’s going to happen in another four months? The range I had from the eighties was still working. You don’t get what you pay for anymore. Just excuses.

I am completely dissatisfied with the Whirlpool Cabrio top loading machine. Our washing machine is less than one-year-old. It doesnt get the clothes clean, especially the darks, and it is so rough on the clothes that they come out twisted tied into knots. The dark clothes come out dirtier than they went into machine. Even though we use the dark detergent on the dark clothes and program for an extra rinse cycle, the clothes come out with white powder all over them. They need to be washed again and sometimes again. And sometimes they still dont come out clean. That is not very energy efficient. The clothes come out of the machine so wrinkled that everything needs to be ironed. I can imagine making washing machine that doesnt do its primary function, which is to get clothes clean. Todays families do not have time for this extra work.

For the last month, in order to wash dishes, we have to start the dishwasher normally. The water will begin to fill the tub and then stop and all the display lights go out. We push the cancel/drain button and the dishwasher empties the water in the tub. We again, push the desired wash cycle button just like the first time and the dishes wash normally. We have purchased at least two of this same type dishwasher with the utensil holder in the door from Whirlpool in the past, with great satisfaction.

I have a Whirlpool french door unit with ice & water through the freezer door. I recently noticed rust in the ice. When the extended service plans tech came to see it he told me that the ice bucket would have to be ordered. Almost a month later, I called him and was told that rust isnt covered. I understand that surface or cosmetic rust shouldnt be covered, but rust in a place where it can be ingested is different. Anyway, I called Whirlpool directly and a very nice phone rep agreed with me and asked her supervisor. Needless to say, I just sent Whirlpool a letter stating that I would pursue this through legal channels if I dont get satisfaction.

Read reviews on the same washer (Cabrio Whirlpool) that I had purchased in January 2017. I have the same problem everyone else has with it, not cleaning the clothes. It was such a disappointment. Had a Whirlpool front in loader for 15 years. Loved it! But the washing machines without the agitator on it is a laugh. What person thought up that design. What a joke on the poor unknowing people that purchased one. Im also upset at G&H Appliances for not standing by their products they sell. Found out that Lowes has a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on what they sell. Not buying from Lowes and buying a washer without on agitator on it. Was two big mistakes I made. I wanted to help out a small local business, but wont be doing that again. They sure are not worried about me.

I have a Whirlpool refrigerator and it is the 2nd one in 12 months. The first one the refrigerator was freezing food in the fridge part and thawing food in the freezer part. After several times a technician came to try to fix the problem and arguments with Whirlpool. They finally replaced the refrigerator. The new one is now doing the same thing. I am contacting Whirlpool tomorrow.

Burners always needed replacing and now do not work anymore - Whirlpool range looks nice, but very expensive to maintain. The burners constantly needed replacing, they do not heat up. I got a repair technician to look at it. He replaced the parts that the burners hook into. Now they do not heat up at all. Well, one of four barely boils water. The oven still works, oh great. The thing is only 7 years old. I have had ovens that lasted 20+ years at my dads house or 15 years at another house I lived in. With all the negative comments and the repair guy who tried to fix it, I think it is time to get the kids Easy-Bake Ovens out of the storage or buy a new range. Obviously, it will not be a Whirlpool. So many negative comments people left, my useless top burners seem mild comparatively.

This dishwasher was a mere 2.2 years old, installed by Lowes-hired technician and the part will cost $168 through Whirlpool, plus labor on both first visit and installation visit. I would not advise to purchase this or similar product from Whirlpool. What really makes me upset is that I learned from customer service that this unit was made in the USA.

Here is what I wrote to Whirlpool: Model: WTW7800XWO, Serial number: C02670320. I purchased the 4.6 Cu. Ft. Cabrio Platinum Top Load Washer in June 2010. The washer lid has broken 3 times now. Its snapping by the hinges. I have been charged about $300 per lid. I believe the hinges are not durable enough to support the weight of the glass lid. I have read hundreds of reviews regarding the same model and issues, I also have a friend who has the same model and is experiencing the same issues and has had to replace the lid twice now. Im disappointed that Whirlpool has not taken accountability for this and either issue a recall or replace the lid at no charge to the customer. If there has been so many complaints, why hasnt Whirlpool taken action on this? I am requesting that the Whirlpool Headquarters address this issue immediately.When I called customer service to complain about this issue, the rep informed me that they have never heard about this issue before. From all the reviews I have read online, it seems that customer service is telling them the same thing. By not addressing this defect, Whirlpool will lose thousands of customers. This is not the way to retain or have returning customers. This is the first time I have purchased a Whirlpool appliance. I will not be a returning customer if this matter is not resolved.

Its amazing to me that every other complaint listed here is identical to the problems I have had with my Duet washer. In the past 4 years, I have had two Duet washers and now, the 2nd one has to be replaced. On the first, the control board blew and it was too expensive to consider replacing. I had a new Duet later that day (I use a great, small local appliance store that is reliable and has a great reputation so I know Im not being screwed over). This one made it for 3 years before the bearing broke. It sounds like its about to launch into orbit. I can either continue to use it until it stops working (likely very soon) or just replace it now as its too expensive to repair. I cant take a chance on it breaking down, so...Thats a good gig Whirlpool has, huh? Repairs are prohibitively expensive so they sell more machines. Whirlpool appliances used to be among the most reliable and well-made. Not any more. Two Duet washers in 4 years in my honest opinion is ludicrous. When it did work, it seemed to do the job and I have to admit to very, very heavy use (3-5 loads/day). But the days of a washer lasting 20-30 years are long over.

As a consumer, Im very disappointed in this Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer. It does NOT clean your clothes. Many times Im washing my clothes twice, only loading a 1/3 of a load of laundry in it because of this problem. No matter what you do, it just doesnt clean your clothes. Has anyone considered putting a law-suit against the company. They will NOT stand behind this issue, NOR replace your washer with something that works. Maybe that is what it will take. DO NOT ever ever ever ever ever ever buy this piece of crap washing machine. You will waste your money, your time, your extra detergent it takes to wash your clothes AND the cost of the machine too! The MILDEW SMELL is horrible and no matter what you do you CANT GET IT OUT! Ive tried it all. Im just angry because I had to save money to purchase this set and it is a piece of crap! Purchased Black Ice French Door refrigerator in December 6, 2012. Used warranty first year due to loud noise & replaced whole back panel in top part. They seemed to know it was a design flaw. Thought all would be well. Purchased extended warranty for second year and did not need so did not extend again. Now it has been 2 years and 7 months and the ice maker had to be shut off due to water running down outside. The refrigerator is no longer cold enough--60 Degrees (too warm) and freezer door would not close all the way (had to duct tape it shut). I certainly expected it to last longer than that for a $2300 fridge. The old Kenmore was 15 years old and still worked. After reading all these reviews it is time for a class action lawsuit! We have to buy another now but it wont be Whirlpool!

Purchased set of eco friendly whirlpool Cabrio top load washer about 4 years ago. Im at my wits end with the washer. Ever since I bought them the washer has continued to bleach my clothes; after we would wash our whites with bleach the 2-3 loads after would have random clothes bleached, this has happened for many years. We called someone in for it to be fixed but they told us nothing was wrong. So now to prevent bleaching we have to run it a few times w/o clothes, what a waste. It also does not wash clothes thoroughly, clothes come out smelling of cologne and the boys sports uniform still smell musky and like grass. What has sparked me to write this review after years of re-washing and bleach stains on newly bought clothes is I washed a sheet after my son vomited on it about a week ago (mind you it was a sheet and thin comforter alone in washer). I put the sheet on today and see dried up vomit, so disgusted. Do yourself a favor and avoid this product.

Whirlpool Gold French Door refrigerator freezer on bottom - I purchased my refrigerator at Lowe’s on 9/26/12 and it cooled OK for the first 3-4 months but it was very noisy along with water dripping from the ice maker door. Then sometime in Feb. my freezer started to warm so I contacted Lowe’s service and they scheduled Tech. to come the following week. He found that freezer evaporator was freezing - suspected a leak and ordered one. Replaced that, and a short time later it was warm again. To make a long story short they have been to my house approx a dozen times replacing the freezer evaporator, control boards, adding refrigerate, and replace the reversing valve, and no time at all it was warm in the freezer again. Tech could not find anything wrong with it and added a little refrigerate and the problem was solved... I thought! Two months later the freezer was warming again. Now they say it’s the evaporator on the cold food side has a leak and needs replacing. Been waiting two weeks now on parts. Talked with Whirlpool and Lowe’s about replacement with a new unit but they tell me they only cover parts and labor. Needless to say this is my last Whirlpool appliance!!

We purchased our 4 French door refrigerator in November 2014. It started making a loud noise, like an air compressor about a month ago. So loud that when we are watching TV in the bedroom we have to close the door! It continued to get louder and more frequent so I called Sears. It is under warranty so they sent a repairman out. When he came, he said it was because we had the refrigerator too cold & it was causing ice to be stuck around the fan??? We had it at 5 and the coldest is 7... He suggested we put it on 3. 2 days later and it is making the same noise again. Will be calling Sears again. I saw a similar review saying the same thing!!!! This is a five month old refrigerator! Very disappointed in product and service.

Purchase at 2014 and still working and nowadays, they dont make refrigerators, washer or dryers to last more than 3 to 4 years. The quality of appliances, really such since the manufacturers are greedy. And after the 5 year Warranty expires, only Lowes buys back the the appliances and Home Depot. Their Warranty specifies that you have to purchase from them to replacement of an appliances if purchased from them!??? Therefore I would not buy any appliance from them. A refrigerator, washer or dryer, you can take parts from each one and build a whole new appliance, which is very disappointing! TO ME THIS IS BAD BUSINESS FOR AMERICANS, not all people know this by experiencing this yourself and I let people know about my experiencing this myself, manufacturers should make products in The United States of America???

Whirlpool washing machine M# wtw7340xw2 / S# c14270996 - Bought in 11/26/2012. Never was real satisfied with the way the clothes were washed. They never came out real clean and smelled like there was still soap in the clothes. It has been less than two years and now it will not run. Turn the unit on and all it wants to do is turn on the pump to drain the tub. Im a refrigeration technician and know how to run a diagnostic test Whirlpool has for this machine. I get an LF code which is water long fill so I checked out the water tube which is ok. So the problem is in the circuit board not sensing the water level. To replace this board is around $350 dollars and if I had someone else do the work I would be looking at over $550 dollars. I only paid around $500 dollar for the washer so it does not make any sense to put a new solid state board into this washer which cost as much as the washer. Our old GE washer lasted us for over 20 years and did a better job washing our clothes. There should be a better warranty on these machines than one year. I did not buy the extended warranty because of the cost and I expect that the product should last at least 10 years or more.

I have had my refrigerator for a few years now. When I first purchased it, it was because of the brand and the looks. As far as performance it runs just as good as any other less expensive ones.

Its a very good one, it kept my stuff cold, and fresh when my other fridge went on the Fritz, but only one problem, and that is, it has glass shelves and if you have kids, it’s hard to keep clean!

Whirlpool Gold French Door - I purchased this fridge in Aug. 2009 (model GX2FHDXVQ00 22cu. ft. French door with bottom freezer). Paid 1800.00. The fridge stopped working after 5 years, but the freezer works fine. A fridge should last at least 10 years. I wont buy another Whirlpool appliance! JUNK!

Cabrio Washer and dryer are about 3 years old. With washer a residue is left on clothes and require an extra rinse, sometimes 2. Also, clothes become unbalanced and I have to rearrange clothes, sometimes more than once. Washer doesnt go through rinse cycle on own, I have to manually make it rinse and spin. Both washer and dryer have rust on the tops and the writing is fading.

We purchased our refrigerator new in 2014. After only 4 years and taking meticulous care of our Whirlpool Top Mount Refrigerator, the temperature regulator stopped working - and the condenser fan rang constantly. The refrigerator couldnt get below 50, and the freezer vacillated between 17 and 30 degrees. We live in a somewhat remote area and could not find an appliance repair person to look at it. So we had to purchase a new appliance. Needless to say we did not choose Whirlpool!

Washer doesnt get soap out of clothes. Had tutorial from service man. Must use extra rinse every time and still have soap on dark clothes. Worst washer I have ever owned. Makes washing a lot of extra work and frustration. Have tried everything to no avail. Takes at least three times longer to wash clothes with all the steps I have to take to get soap out. I understand EPA demands for less water usage, but clothes still must be properly cleaned.

I am on my second Cabrio. The first one only lasted a few years, but I stayed with the Cabrio line because I didnt want to replace the dryer. That was my first mistake. The second Cabrio washer constantly leaves a white residue on dark clothing. I used an HE detergent, reduced the detergent and put the dark clothes through an extra rinse and still find residue that has to be scraped off. I called Whirlpool on Dec. 19th, 2018 to complain about this and was told there was no history reported of this kind of problem. Then I went on the ConsumerAffairs website to learn that many others have the same residue issue, among many other products. I will not ever purchase a Whirlpool machine of any kind again.

In 2008, I purchased the 40-gal. Whirlpool electric water heater to replace the original unit in my home that had lasted 14 years without issue until it died of old age. After about 2 1/5 years, it died and I was given authorization to return it to Lowes at my insistence. Now after another 2 1/5 years, this one has died. So far, I have replaced both elements, lost a days work, missed out on a date because I could not take a shower and now Im told I have to replace the electrical box on top which wont get here until Monday. Its Saturday and I havent been able to take a shower in my home for 5 days now.The first CSR (Crystal) I spoke with implied that since I had 2 consecutive failures, this was a site problem, not a product problem. Theres nothing special about my site, and my old unit made it 14 years with zero repairs. I would argue that since both of the units only lasted 2 1/5 years, that the product is substandard. I asked to speak to a manager but was told no because they were all busy (no doubt) and her demeanor was unapologetic and unsympathetic. The second CSR (Nick) I spoke with was very nice and at least sympathetic. That goes a long way in customer service, but I was still not allowed to speak with a manager.I am going to try and repair it one more time, but I have zero confidence in Whirlpool and would never buy another Whirlpool product of any sort again. If I get it working, and after all Ive read here I doubt that I will, I will only be using it for the time it takes to get a replacement of another brand. This was my first experience with a Whirlpool product and you can be sure it will absolutely be my last.

The refrigerator is 7 years old and I have already replace parts. The appliance is not made as well as they were made in the past. The inside of the Whirlpool refrigerator is small. The design of putting the soda can dispenser on the door was not a good one. Due to the weight of of the soda in the dispenser is breaking the hinge on the right door or the french door. The rubber gasket is shredding as well.

Good News!! Finally a permanent fix & possible recall. My Whirlpool Gold bottom freezer was 18 months old and Out of Warranty. It leaked water on my floor like all the rest. I called and was told I had to pay the service charge. Speak with a SUPERVISOR!!! They sent a repairman who said a Kit had just come out to fix this. I had to defrost the unit for a day and he returned with the kit. Part number is W10309238. The repairman believes they will be doing a recall and fix these drains. Insist on speaking with a Supervisor!!! Get results, they will do it as it is a design flaw. The repair took about twenty minutes. Here in Ottawa, Ontario call Youngs Appliance for more info.

We have had our Cabrio for one year now and we found the agitation cycle to be loud but we have gotten used to it now. The thing we cannot get used to is the sour smell permeating from it. It smells like a dirty mop. Our washer and dryer are in a small laundry room so when we enter it to get to the garage or bathroom, the smell hits you like a ton of bricks. Stinky!!

Last week dishwasher leaked. Set up repair with our local gas company that has service plus. Came today. Repairman showed me there is a hole in the bottom of the tub. Upon closer inspection it looks like the manufacturer drilled a hole that wasnt needed so they routed out a depression in the tub and must have put in some sort of plug or filler of some kind which now came out. I called Whirlpool and explained to lady about the defective tub. She said well if it had a plug of some sort put into the tub it would have fallen out before this. I said Well it didnt it just must have happened as it never leaked before. She said it is no longer in warranty. I told her this is a defect to me as if you drill a hole in the tub that wasnt necessary and then the plug failed that you put in to hide the extra hole. It is a defect not a warranty issue. Upshot is she wouldnt do anything about it. I told her I have always bought Whirlpool but if this is their policy its the last time I buy anything made by Whirlpool. After reading all the complaints registered here about Whirlpool I guess I am more than fortunate as my dishwasher (bought in 2006) had run great until their plug fell out (Great except for all the rinse aid that has leaked out for several years.).

Whirlpool washer Model WGD4815EW1. Bought this washer just about 4 months ago and right away I hated it but was told by people that all the machines had gone to the lid lock and that the government had mandated the energy saving devices on the machines so the machine will only put just a little water in the machine. I have been VERY VERY unhappy with this machine. My husband figured out a way to bypass the lid lock mechanism. Then after washing clothes many times I found out in order to get my clothes clean I had to just set the dial to Bulky every time OR I had to wash the clothes 2 times to get clean if I didnt. Once we bypassed the lid lock and then I figured out where to put the knob so the clothes would come clean I was fine until last week the machine just would NOT wash or do anything... it filled with water and just sat there until my husband got the water out. I located a Speed Queen from an appliance store and I am much happier. It does not have the CRAZY lid lock on it. I realize that some children are apt to mess with the washers. But I dont have children anymore and when I did I had a laundry room with a lock up high on the door so they could not play in the laundry room. I dont understand why this so called mandate could not have been done in a way as to allow those with kids to have the option on the machine with a built in code device to set the machine so the lid will lock and those of us without children in the house to opt out of the code to set the lid lock. NO REASON why we cant have a CHOICE. As far as I see it is a way for the government to try control more where they need to keep out. The cars have been designed with safety locks for children to keep them safe, but it is up to you to choose to use them. Same principle! Now for the mechanism to make it so the machine will only put so much water in the machine to wash. Youre NOT SAVING any ENERGY or WATER if you have to wash the loads twice!! This whole mandated business with the newer washer machines is a huge JOKE on everyone. I will be searching out used machines and having them rebuilt because I dont EVER plan on buying another one of these newer machines. If enough people stop buying them the manufacturing companies can raise some cane with the government to get the mandate lifted. NO I will not buy another Whirlpool washer. I encourage some of you out there who LOVE a challenge to figure a way to change the stupid motherboards on the newer machines and create a great business for yourself because if someone else can create it you can recreate it.

Purchased the fridge from hhregg in August/September 2012. Model G16FARXX. After less than three years of owning it, found out today that the compressor is shot and will have to be replaced. Replacement/repair costs are ~$900, almost as much as the fridge brand new. Chatted with customer support and then would/could not do anything. I feel ripped off. If it happened after 5 years of use, then my attitude would be different, but not a major component going out in less than 3 years.

Purchased Whirlpool fridge in December of 2013. I have had repairmen at my home over 10 times for repairs after warranty expired in December of 2014. Purchased extended warranty and still have to wait over a week for repairs through local Whirlpool service tech. Ice maker has been problematic from the start. Either it makes a bucket in 3 days time or it makes none. I will not buy another.

I have used my Maytag washing machine weekly for the last 11 years... Never a problem. Just a well made, basic machine to wash clothes thoroughly. It does not have all the bells and whistles some of the newer models have, but it is a washing machine, not a video game.

If I could give no stars I would. I own the Whirlpool Cabrio, which I bought only 2 years ago. Im on my 3rd service call. They replaced my board after only 1 year of owning it and now 2years later its the same error message (F6E2), the board again. Besides this problem the machine is horrible! Every load has to be done on the deep water mode or else your clothes will come out with dry areas. Forget about darks - they come out with lint and soap residue all over them. So for darks you have to use extra rinse cycle but still the clothes come out with lint all over them. Laundry has turned into a nightmare for me. And the clothes arent clean. If I dont spray and scrub any stains, the clothes come out with the stain still on them. Dirty white socks come out dirty, even with bleachI dont use warm water on my clothes because it shrinks them and I dont put all of my clothes in the dryer because it shrinks them. So I am constantly using lint rolls, like crazy on all my darks. And even though the machine is very large I was told to never put a lot of laundry in it because nothing will get clean. So now I have to do more loads of wash. Doing laundry has turned into a job, a horrible job that takes hours. So now I have to use deep water, extra rinse and smaller loads so how is this energy efficient - its NOT, its the opposite of efficient. I am doing more wash and using more water. I use liquid HE detergent like they said. I clean my washer when it lights up to clean it. I dont know what else to do. I just called whirlpool about all of this and my second board being broke within 2 yrs and they dont stand by their products. I have to just keep getting it fixed through my extended warranty company. Thank goodness I bought an extended warranty.I would never ever buy anything whirlpool again! Dont buy this washer if its still available, it is the worst. Even if cabrio isnt available (which I dont see on their site) I still wouldnt buy whirlpool. They should replace my machine with a different one at this point. Not that I want another whirlpool but at least I would have a machine that works. This machine completely stopped working after the error code so I have no machine for 4 days now. I waiting for my extended warranty to get back to me and then I have to make an appointment for the appliance company to come and fix it. This is crazy. All these days and I cant do laundry. This is not acceptable!

I’m getting the run around with service. No one comes to our area to check our new Whirlpool hot water heater. The hot water heater has not worked right since I installed it. I need a service tech to come to my house at Whirlpool’s expense and check the damn thing and get me taken care of. Does Whirlpool want to retain a customer or not? Its that simple. Bought a home with a Whirlpool WRF540CWBM01 french door refrigerator circa Oct 2016. The unit stopped freezing/cooling and the appliance guy replaced a relay and this did not help. I called Whirlpool to check on the warranty, only 1 year. Then, I called the extended warranty and they wanted $342 for 1 year and $567 for 3 year but wanted 60 days before this would go into effect. Hmm, wait 2 months w/out a working fridge, great idea. So, after 2 short years the compressor failed and nobody will attempt this job and cost is too high. Had to buy a new GE fridge w/ a 5-year parts/labor covering this type of issue. Whirlpool needs to fix these issues. Very disappointed.

I bought a Whirlpool Gold refrigerator in 2010 from Lowes. Within months it had a Freon leak and Lowes had to replace it. I had bought the extended warranty. In 2011 a part had to be replaced twice due to excessive noise. Then the freezer got frost buildup on a coil in 2012 and again in 2014. I called Whirlpool and asked if they would pay for my next 3 year warranty. They said no, it was my responsibility after the first year. I would never buy a Whirlpool product . Do research, Whirlpool makes several brands.

My agitator-free washer began tearing small holes in my clothing and sheets about one year after purchase. I contacted Whirlpool and they sent out a service person, who ran a diagnostic test on the washer and said it was fine and I should learn how to wash clothes and load the washer, etc. The barrel of this washer has little holes and I believe that when it spins the clothing, some pieces may stick in one of those holes causing tearing. The service person also told me that my clothes were old. I guess that means this washer is not for washing old clothing. The tears in my clothing are in places that are very unlikely to tear, like the back of my jeans behind the calf of a leg, about half way up from the ankle. There are holes in my tee shirts at the bottom of the back. Even if I were a smoker, which I am not, I would not likely burn holes in those areas. Whirlpool obviously does not want to accept responsibility for this problem, even though there are many other people having the same problem with this type of washer.

I have been without a washing machine for 3 weeks because my 4-month old washing machine does not work. I have had a repairman out 3 times and now one of the parts that he may need because unfortunately, its not an exact science is on back order. I have spoken twice to supervisors at Whirlpool and have gotten nowhere with them. They are trying to locate the part that is on backorder and my warranty is for repair and replacement parts only. By the time they get through with fixing this lemon, if it ever gets fixed, it will cost more than just replacing the machine! I have 5 people I am doing laundry for and a trip to the laundry mat every week is not something I can afford nor is taking time off of my job every week to meet with a repairman to try and guess what the machine is needing now. After 4 months, I should not have to even be concerned with what is and isnt covered by my warranty! My last washer/dryer lasted 12-15 years with very little ever going wrong with it. I will never recommend Whirlpool products or buy Whirlpool products again, not because something has gone wrong with the product, things like this happen, but because Whirlpool is very poor when it comes to customer satisfaction and treating their customers right. With this day and age of social networking and this economy, you would think that Whirlpool would do more to treat their customers right and build a product that lasts longer than 4 months. When I asked to talk to someone other than the supervisor I was given, I was told that she is the top person. Really? I find it hard to believe that there is no one above her that I could talk with to express my frustration and request that something be done about this problem.

Since there is only two people in this home, we decided to go for the smaller front-loading machine. This was purchased in 2012, still running. It does a clean wash, however common sense does remind people to not over-load a front load washer. If one follows directions, it gets the job done, and ones machine lasts longer without problems. I had an electric 36 Whirlpool, smooth top cook top for 18 yrs. Worked great, cleaned with Windex and occasional scraper. Didnt show streaks or spots. I remodeled my kitchen 10/15 and bought a KitchenAid 36 glass smooth top vented cook top. What a piece of junk. Wish I had kept my Whirlpool. I can not get it cleaned. Every little fingerprint, mark, etc. shows. I thought KitchenAid was an upgrade to whirlpool but I was surely wrong. I am glad that I didnt change my built-in double oven. I did change out the Whirlpool quiet gold dishwasher for the KitchenAid. Again, wish I kept my Whirlpool. The KitchenAid is noisier, looks terrible with the stainless inside. Im embarrassed to open it with all the water stains. My Whirlpool was white inside and looked like new. I wish I had the money to change it back but I dont unfortunately. Moral of the story is if it aint broken dont fix it!

During the initial warranty the oven was not heating properly. Several service calls within the warranty issue was not resolved. Whirlpool extended the warranty another year as of this date and several service calls problem not resolved. When a tech comes out there is a diagnostic check that checks the temp for 10 min. Since the temp drops after 10 min they cannot detect problem. I asked for the tech to remain for the complete cooking period which they cannot do. I have wasted many meals and still have a oven that does not work.

When my wife and I were planning our retirement, we made a to-do list before we officially stopped working. We are loyal Whirlpool users and over the next 3 years we purchased 4 major Whirlpool appliances in preparation of having 8-12 years of problem-free time as we go from a two-income working family to two people on fixed incomes. I retired in December of 2011 and unfortunately this did not pan out on 2 of the 4 appliances. The washing machine, in late February 2012, blew a transmission 23 months after purchase and 11 months after the warranty expired. Discussions with Whirlpool by phone were unsuccessful in getting the repair covered.Ultimately, this repair cost us $265.00. In late April, 9 months after the warranty expired, the refrigerator iced up and had to be manually defrosted, despite being equipped with ADS. My family and I did the defrosting because it was a weekend and tech support was not available. On Monday, the refrigerator was functioning, so I was told to run it and see what happens and call the tech if it happens again. I had done research online and found many folks were having trouble with this refrigerator model and the main problem was the control board”, a board that is used in many Whirlpool refrigerators. I ordered one after the initial problem and waited for it to ice up again. On Sunday, May 20, it repeated the same symptoms displayed and I put the board in myself and it solved the problem. This computer board cost me $95.81.I contacted Whirlpool about the two premature, post-warranty expiration issues in hopes of getting some reimbursement for the repairs. The Whirlpool rep told me that because there had not been a recall on either appliance, they could not reimburse me. They instead offered me a 6-month extension on the dishwasher I bought last July. I have been on several complaint websites and have seen the refrigerator control board repeatedly mentioned - all within the approximate 2-year timeline as my control board failed. My refrigerator was a GB9FHDXWQ01 model, but the control board is used in many of their refrigerators. If this has happened to you, please contact me at ** and, hopefully, together we can get enough data to get a recall and get proper treatment from Whirlpool. The dishwasher performs well but it is a little loud. The salesperson said that if I had purchased the model with a stainless steel tub, it would not run as loud.

I purchased Whirlpool gas range. After approximately 1 year, it has repeated problems with oven failing to maintain temperature. The unit would remain on, with the bake on still showing. But the temperature would decrease to the point of not cooking the food. If you turned the oven off and then back on, it would preheat again and resume baking, only to kick back off again later (again, with the bake still on).

Paid between $800.00 and $1,000 (cant recall exactly) three years ago and the oven locked recently while cooking a pizza. Couldnt get the lock to disengage and the oven turned on self-clean mode without me doing anything. The pizza burned crispy before I finally got the door open. The failure code for the control panel showed up. I didnt buy the extended warranty because we only needed it to last 5 - 6 years until we do a full kitchen remodel and the really inexpensive (~ $250) oven that was installed by the previous owners to sell the house lasted six years with no trouble. Now we have to pay $391.00 to repair what I consider a brand new oven. In doing some research it looks like the control panel fail is common and is associated with using the self clean mode which we only used once. Great oven if you only need one for a few years and are willing to pay the price.

The one star is just for the oven, which is still working. I have a microwave and oven combo and the microwave is used occasionally for popcorn or to reheat the food. Soon, it stopped warming up. I called the service, which is one of the worse experiences I ever had, and was fixed.Soon after, the same part got broken. But I ran out of the warranty. I bought the extended warranty and all the problems started. I was told by one of the Whirlpool representatives that before my warranty will become effective, I have to fix my microwave on my own expense. But in the Whirlpool terms and conditions, it stated clearly that they do not cover if the repairs are made by anyone other than a participating service provider or those recommended.I decided to cancel the warranty after paying the first rate but before it become effective. I fixed the microwave on my own expense with a different repair service, since the one that was recommended by Whirlpool charged almost a half of the amount as I paid for the whole unit.Within the month, the some part got broken again. I called Whirlpool to find out if this is a manufacture problem and is listed as recall. However, Whirlpool did not respond.

We had the same thing happen. We purchased a brand new home and within 6mo the plastic around the handle started breaking off and pieces would fall into any food that was being cooked on the stove. Whirlpool fixed it for free but now the same thing is happening with the new door.

Ice maker not working. Freezer not working. Fridge not working. There is some cooling in the fridge/freezer system - maybe 50 degrees. Not under warranty, 2 years old. Repair person is coming. Will edit when I have more details.

I purchased the glass top Cabrio a couple of years ago. Without an agitator; it is amazing how nice thick towels come out with holes or rips! Clothes get so twisted. My sister needed a new washer and after telling her the problems with the Whirlpool; she purchased an LG. I have told many people that have purchased an agitator free machine to stock up on Affresh or one of the other tub cleaners... you need them to keep the odor from getting into your clean? clothes. I cannot wait to sell this washer or give it away!!

I feel the Whirlpool washer we have Works amazing. Its an older model and Im still happy with it. It does big loads without having to do it over again or on balancing itself. I have actually had a Samsung washer and we constantly had issues with it - sensor problems and was not very user-friendly at times. I also feel that a lot of the newer washers out there are cheaply made plastic parts and can break easily. Too many companies cutting Corners these days.

I called Whirlpool about the refrigerator that I purchased in June of this year and nothing was done about it. My situation is that the refrigerator scratches very easily. It seems that it gets scratch only by looking at it. This refrigerator is very expensive and I not even done paying for it and this appliance looks awful!! Susan the person that I was chatting with just told me that cosmetic doesnt cover and there is nothing that Whirlpool can do about. It bothers me that paying so much money for something that it is poor quality material.

The Whirlpool hot water heater model ES80H123-45D from Lowe’s is a free replacement for a lifetime warranty unit that went bad after 8 years. First heater would heat to 154 degrees with a setting of 150. Very good. New one heats to 140 degrees with a setting 150 degrees. Digital ESM screen on heater reads 150, but the water is only 140 by my temperature test. I talked to complaint line 5 times in 7 days and was told to do various test, but the temp never went past 140. They replaced both thermostats and temperature still never past 140 with ESM reading 150. They first told me standard temperature was plus or minus 5 degree range. Then, they changed their minds and said it was 10 degrees. They are calibrating their equipment to operate 10 degrees less then their Energy Smart module reads to cover up a performance issue with their water heater. They say this unit will operate between 80 and 150 degrees—nothing’s said about a plus or minus operating range. I will buy a new temperature gauge to see if my old one is correct. It was tested against a digital one a couple of years ago when I had a new dishwasher installed by Lowes. The installers gauge read over 152 and mine read 154 degrees at the sink next to the new dishwasher, so it was close to accurate at that time. Whirlpool is happy with their under-performance.

I am completely dissatisfied with the competence and accountability that I have encountered while dealing with Whirlpool Canada. I ordered a Whirlpool Refrigerator in September of 2011. I opted to switch the door swing myself since it is a relatively simple task and of course they charge you extra if they do it for you. Once I had the door installed, the last step was to screw on the handle. The door was missing the threading which allowed the handle to be installed. I contacted Goehmans to set up a service call. They looked at the fridge only to tell me that they needed to order an entire door. A month and a half later I had not been contacted by anyone regarding the whereabouts of the replacement door.Long story short, over four months later and after hours of phone calls recounting the details of the events numerous times to numerous employees, all Whirlpool had to say over and over again was I understand, but unfortunately we do not provide any compensation.” They said that the warranty only covered repairs and not product replacement, which would be fine if it ever broke but they delivered a fridge that was not built correctly in the first place. They took no responsibility for the lack of quality control.After speaking with the supervisor Josh, and insisting that we be compensated for the inconveniences and frustration, he finally agreed to extend the warranty by 3 months. I told him that they should offer a year extension since if they stood behind their product that it wouldnt even cost them a cent. He politely told me that he understood and what email address did I want the extended warranty information to go to and that he would offer only the 3 month warranty. When I received the email, I found out that I had yet another phone call to make in order to engage the extra 3 month warranty.I am extremely frustrated with the level of service and I feel as though they school their employees to be therapists that offer no solutions. They were all very willing to listen and offer a sympathetic ear, tell you that they understand but not to take action or offer a solution. They seemed to think that it was acceptable that I pay them full price for a fridge but not deliver the full appliance for a projected 6-8 months. In my book and to most consumers, this is not acceptable. When I pay full price for a product, I feel that a full product should be delivered to me in working order. Whirlpool got their money and the special order door seems to be at the low end of their priority list. How else can they justify a 6-8 month wait for part replacement?Somebody please sell Josh a car with no stereo system, make him pay for the option and see if he if he thinks waiting 6-8 months for it is acceptable. Oh yeah, and waste 6-10 hours of his personal time trying find out where the heck his stereo system is then tell him how much you understand. I guess I can stroke Whirlpool off as a brand of appliance for any future purchases.

Whirlpool is not what it was before. I got this set with new house... They are very poor construction. They are not even close what I have before the LG. After 6 months I begin to have problems with the dryer... Technician come two time to fix the problems. Quality of washing is OK though... That going to be the last time I got Whirlpool products. For sure.

We purchased our Whirlpool Cabrio platinum washer about 3 years ago. I am completely frustrated with it. When it is on spin cycle, it sounds like a freight train going through my house. During the rest of the washing... it squeaks. And right now this is the 5th attempt to wash the same load of laundry. Because it keeps getting unlevel and it will not continue after I move the clothes around to get it level. So I have to start all over. There is not a spin cycle option that is available by itself. Every time I have to choose the rinse/drain/spin option. Obviously it is not under warranty anymore! Only a one year warranty... really pathetic! And when we called they offered us a little discount to buy another one. No thank you!!! Wont ever buy Whirlpool again.

If you are on this website, keep reading. You will definitely find many people that have your same problem. We purchased our refrigerator 5 years ago. Since then we have had a leak inside of it which is gradually forming mold that I have to cleanup. The ice maker and water dispenser do not function for months at a time. I just purchased 2 drawers for the same reason as the review on May 5, 2016. The tabs break off of the front panels and the panel falls off of the drawers. Theres no way to pull them out. We paid over $200.00 for two drawers!I spoke with customer service at Whirlpool and read them the 2016 review. Their answer was that you should not believe everything you read. My answer was, How cant I? Its happening to the refrigerator I own. They just kept giving robotic answers. The conversation was that of someone that is in denial of having a problem. They dont care. Instead of at least offering a discount on the drawers, she offered me an over $400.00 one year warranty. Pathetic! Whirlpool has just lost another customer.

This is a horrible washer. It leaves a white residue on dark clothing and the clothes need to be rehashed. There is water that settles in to the fabric softener dispenser. Now the washer is leaking. My husband replaced the tub seal or whatever since he found this could be the problem while searching the internet. It is still leaking and we have no idea from where the water is coming. I agree with the other person that the Whirlpool customer service cares not that theyve manufactured a defective product.

My son purchased the Whirlpool 2 door w/ icemaker about 3 years ago. Twice weve had a repairman here. Yesterday was the 2nd one. He tried 3 ways to get liquid to go through a round coil I could see at the back. He said the problem was between the two back panels (back of fridge & inside wall) where there was a tubing to release the water from defrost cycle. It appears to be a manufacturing problem. I am very upset! It should be replaced at the very least.

Whirlpool French Door 32 Cu. Refrigerator - Purchased refrigerator Nov 2016. Never worked, never cooled. Called Sears and was told to call Whirpool. Had to then wait 1 week for repair company to send out service tech. He determined it was unrepairable. A replacement was delivered. The replacement started flooding the interior down the back, filling underneath the bottom drawer and down into the freezer (ruining everything in the freezer) and out onto the floor. Called Whirlpool and had to wait another week for a tech. They assessed the problem and left. I was told it would be fixed within the week, that theyd call when the parts arrived. 3 weeks later, no word. Called Whirlpool, the parts were on backorder with no ETA. Two weeks later the parts were expedited, after I called again crying, and a tech came out again to fix the flooding. Two weeks ago the fan started to make a very loud noise and the internal temperature started to fluctuate and finally settled between 55-60+. Everything was ruined, again. This refrigerator is defective. Whirlpools customer service is deplorable. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM WHIRLPOOL!!! They dont care that they make and sell defective crap. They dont care about how much money and time youve lost because of their defective merchandise. You have to have a service repair person come out at least 3 times before theyll even consider a replacement unless the repair tech considers it unrepairable even if it never really works or if the parts take weeks to be delivered. They DONT CARE about anything. Worst part is that I have no power or recourse. No one will help me. I was told today by the Sears Customer Relations to hire a lawyer. :( This is so wrong.

I couldnt wait to get a front loader and hated it. As soon as I saved up enough money, I bought the water saver Whirlpool top loader. I love it! The clothes get cleaner and dont smell musty. Im very happy with whirlpool.

I bought my new Whirlpool Duet washer in April 2011 and the gas steam dryer in May 2011. In October 2011, the washer started to make a loud banging noise when starting the spin cycle. I contacted Whirlpool, and they scheduled a service call and stated that the washer was out of service. I told them it was and that I just bought it in April 2011. They said that the repair guy would need to see the receipt. Well, the A&E Factory service guy came out and said it was the bearings. Whirlpool only replaced the bearings with the whole tube unit and a few other parts. I was never told that all these parts would be mailed to my home, until I got a call from A&E about the tube being on back order. I was told that the part wouldnt be in until November 21, 2011, and it would take another week or more to schedule for a repair guy to come out. I called Whirlpool Executive Office (269-923-5000) and complained about all this. They said thats how it works--they ship everything to the customer and that there was nothing she could do about the back-ordered part. So I called Lowes corporate office and told them what was going on and asked if they could push Whirlpool into fixing my washer faster. About 4 1/2 hours later, I got a call from the assistant store manager; and they said that they would replace my washer with a brand-new one and would have it delivered in 2 days. Now, that was going above and beyond what I thought they would do. Just another reason why Ill continue to be a Lowes customer.Now, here it is, April 2012; and my dryer is leaking water into the drum. On Saturday, I went online and scheduled a service repair for Wednesday, April 25. Today, the 24th, I got a call from VIA that they would be out tomorrow and that I would owe them $120.00 for the service call as my dryer was out of warranty. Here we go once again, having to battle Whirlpool! I really dont give a dang what their dang system tells them about when I bought their product! I know when I bought it. And why did they keep telling me that Im wrong? They did almost to the point of calling me a liar!I called the Executive Office again and had to leave a message. Mark my words, I will never ever buy another Whirlpool product again! I will make sure that I tell everyone who I know at work and at home about the way Whirlpool handles their good customers!

We bought a Whirlpool Dishwasher for a vacation home thinking it was a good brand. It was not a low end model. After two years of infrequent summer use it would start and then not complete a cycle. Looking on the internet I learned the control panel was known to be faulty. An appliance repair person also confirmed that the control panel was known to be faulty. Why are they allowed to sale defective appliances? I also feel Lowes Hardware is not without blame for unloading faulty equipment on unsuspecting consumers. What recourses do consumers have? I cannot afford another dishwasher after purchasing an appliance expected to last for years.

We purchased a Whirlpool Water Heater at Lowes - model no. FG15040T3NOV, serial no. 0434120861, product no. 0730267 & weve still been having issues keeping the pilot light lit. We purchased the bottom unit piece that Whirlpool said would fix the problem but weve still been having problems with the pilot light going out. The water heater isnt under warranty anymore, so last night was the last straw & we finally decided to get another water heater that wasnt a Whirlpool. Ive done a research on the internet and found out that a lot of consumers are still having this problem to this day.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer in 2007. The washer sounded like it was going to take off and started leaking water. Two repair techs later, we found out it was the center bearing. They actually laughed and said they saw it all the time. It could be replaced (you need to replace the whole drum) for $300-$500, but I was told it would never be the same. I spoke with Whirlpool numerous times and they said they would do nothing, and I should have purchased the extended warranty. All I ask is for a company to stand behind their product. Im very disappointed.

Purchased Refrigerator (WhirlPool Refrigerator WRX988SIBM03) 16 months ago and noticed the drawer with glass that house the drawers had a crack on the right side. Couldnt believe it was cracked after such little use with just two adults living in the home. Removed it and noticed this was such shoddy design. There is a heavy metal bar in the back with a piece of flimsy plastic that attaches to the heavy metal bar with only a screw attaching the plastic to the metal.I made attempt to glue it since it was only cracked but then the plastic just started crumbling into pieces like a broken cookie. Truly there is something wrong with the quality of the product as well as the design of having this heavy metal bar attached to this flimsy plastic. The quality of this part only leads me to believe what is next with this refrigerator. I am sure there is more to come.I contacted Whirlpool to see if they would replace but of course this is at my cost. Ive had inner parts of refrigerators break over years of use and they get old and busted up over time but this is a new refrigerator and once I inspected the part, I was disappointed with myself for not removing these inner parts and inspecting prior to purchasing. I would have picked up on the poor quality right away. Taken by the outside of this unit and its beauty, and not truly looking at whether or not the shelf can hold a couple gallons of milk. I am here to tell you there is no way this would have withstood the test of time with only a gallon of milk sitting on this unit. Poor design, poor quality and metal attached to raw plastic as it is a disaster.

Whirlpool Gold Fridge - For all the people who have water collecting at the bottom of their freezer... There is a plug in the drain pan underneath that needs to be removed. It comes that way from the factory. Thank God, I have a smart Hubby and Father-in-Law. I find it INSANE that these Repair people have not caught on or do they just want to keep billing for Service Calls.

I have purchased a Whirlpool microwave oven last year (October). It is not working properly now & not heating well. Regarding this I have registered a complaint in the service center & Customer Care but we have not received any reply for this.

The washer itself doesnt get the clothes clean. The clothes on top never get clean, they smell. It doesnt spin out the clothes evenly even though I put them in evenly. There is oil on my floor under the washer and Rent-A-Center doesnt care and its under their Benefits plus program. They were to send off both washer and dryer last time and had no paperwork where washer was sent off at all. It has ruined a lot of my clothes with spots and I used the Tide pods. Stopped using them cause they were not working. I will never buy another Whirlpool product or appliance. Water pump went out in one year... Why would you not care about your customers... Model GB2FHDXWS04 - This refrigerator dumps water all over the floor at least 1 time a week. We just leave a towel on the floor to absorb it because you never know when it is going to happen. Have removed the stuff and cleaned all of the ice out of the bottom of the fridge but in no time it is back. What a crummy unit. I am going to drill a hole in the bottom of it and put in a drain I guess.

The refrigerator itself is noisy but thats not the problem. Most of my low ratings are because of the ice maker. Instead of being in the freezer it is up in the refrigerators area. It jams a lot, makes a lot of noise, had to replace the ice maker assy inside it already as it quit. Then the defrost water drain plugged and had to be cleaned out. Too many problems for such a new refrigerator. The refrig. itself works fine but get one with ice maker in the freezer.

I got a Whirlpool washer front loader model number wfw9151yw. Every time I wash sheets, they go into a ball. I called Whirlpool. They sent out a service guy. He said do not wash sheets in a front loader. I called the store. They said call Whirlpool again. Then the second service guy moved the legs down about 1 in. The machine still not right. I feel Whirlpool should replace the machine or give me my money back.

Purchased a Whirlpool French Door Refrig. Model #WRF 954CIHZ200 in 11/21/2017 from Best Buy for $2300.00 on sale. Within the 1st year the Ice Maker broke & repairman said the ill design caused the wire to break. He had replaced numerous ones for the same reason. In the 2nd yr the freezer started frosting. Next thing the freezer quit. Next day refrig quit working. Called Whirlpool, said, So sorry. We will send you a $50.00 Visa gift card. That was to cover $200.00 of just bought groceries. Called repair guy & he diagnoses compressor was bad. (IN A LESS THAN 2 YR OLD REFRIG. THAT COST $2300.00????)Now, we are 28 day w/o refrig. Living with a Igloo cooler. Whirlpool says they have no stock left on compressors for our refrig. (probably because there are so many going bad in their refrigerators). They are trying to locate one somewhere in US so that takes 6 days then they have to ship to repair center then they have to schedule us for repair which will probably be another 7 days. Ghee, what a mess! Dont do it folks! Buy a LG or Samsung! If I had it to do again, thats what I would do! Whirlpool is Not what they use to be when I trusted them. Years ago. P.S. Handle needs smarter design. I purchased model #WRT311FZDM00 in November of 2015, didnt install in my new home till December. I am a single senior female, so there is little wear on the fridge, unlike a family of several people and with kids. The door handle actually broke just behind the screws that hold it in place, the plastic part of it broke into a couple of pieces. The cost to replace this handle is approximately $80, which is ridiculous in my opinion. Please start making things of quality materials instead of cheap plastic, especially at a stress point of a part. Even I know better than that. All 4 of my major kitchen appliances are Whirlpool, as well as my washer/dryer. I thought I was buying quality products. Hopefully things will hold up better with the other ones.

I bought a Whirlpool washing machine, model WTW4855HW, and was I ever shocked at how noisy it was. The wash cycle had a grinding noise that was just too much. After 2 loads I sent it back and didnt regret having to pay the restocking fee. I just couldnt believe that with all the technology we have today, that they couldnt build a quiet machine. Im an engineer so I know there are methods through gearing, belts, soundproofing, etc, to produce a quiet machine. Remember the dishwasher of days gone by. You couldnt watch TV with the dishwasher going. Nowadays, you can stand in the kitchen and have a nice conversation with it running. The technology exists. As a matter of a fact, my old Maytag that finally went bad after 10 years was fairly quiet. So, if you dont have your washing machine in the garage or basement room where you can close the door, dont buy this machine! Bruce in Portland

I purchased the hot water tank from Lowes 3 years for over $500.00 within the first year, I experienced issues. I have the same pilot light problems as everybody else. I have hired a plumber four or 5 times to clean and blow everything out as instructed by Whirlpool. The hot water heater will not stay lit. The plumber has replaced every part possible two times. Customer service continues to inform me to do this and that and everything has already been done. I am without hot water again with children in the house. Once again, we are boiling hot water so that we can bathe--total inconvenience. This product is defective, and has cost me money to hire a plumber each time. I would never recommend this product to anyone!

I bought a 50-gal. Whirlpool electric hot water heater about 6 years ago from Lowes. About every two years, something goes bad. So far, I had to replace electronic control board that sits on top of heater twice. Then the heating element went bad. Well, this time, the electronic control board started to smoke and melt. I was home so I smelled something melting and found it. What would have happened if I was not at home? I have dogs that are like my kids; they could have been killed. Whirlpool wants to send the replacement parts knowing this part is no good. Do not buy a Whirlpool electric water heater! Now, Im scared the next time I wont be at home to find the thing smoking. I dont have money to buy a new one. How many other people have the same problem?

We originally became alarmed by an awful smell and noticed that our Whirlpool Conquest side-by-side refrigerator freezer/fridge was not keeping food items cold. Thank you EPA for requiring water limits on manufactures of washing machines. As a result, I am forced to use the deep water and extra rinse functions to get clothes half way clean. So much for saving water! This Whirlpool Cabrio machine cost way too much for such lousy results. Additionally, I have to purchase a special product and clean my machine every month or two. Ridiculous!! I yearn for the old days when I could wash my clothes and they would actually come out clean.

We came home from work and all was well. About an hour later, there was a strong burning smell in the kitchen, like wires burning. Sourced it to our refrigerator. Brought our grandson upstairs to the second floor apartment to get him away from the smell and possible smoke and/or fire. This unit has been repaired several times but not recently. After reading all the same reviews on this problem, we are definitely concerned that a fire may arise. Unfortunately we may wind up buying another, very expensive, refrigerator in the very near future but it will definitely not be a Whirlpool. I wish I could give Whirlpool a ZERO star because that is even too good for this company.

The buttons that turns on the burners and oven turn on with a very light touch and start leaking gas and sometimes light. Its very dangerous and has done this since We got it new from Lowes. I wonder if there was a recall on this model or if lots of other customers have had the same trouble. Have a warranty with them to get reimbursed for repairs for a year. Have had to use it twice now for the same part. Customer service told me itd take two weeks to get a certified repairman of their choosing to be reimbursed. Two weeks to go without a fridge is their solution and they have no other repairmen working. So I ask to speak to a supervisor and the representative tells me she wont transfer me out because thats the way it is. Paid out of pocket to get it fixed immediately instead of waiting.
