I purchased Whirlpool electric hot water tank in May 2011 (model no. EEZ80HD055V). The water tank was working fine for four months. It does not work anymore. I tried to get a hold of Whirlpool customer service. But I couldn’t get a hold of customer service at 877-817-6750. It is motel business without hot water. We could not open the business. We tried the best we could, but there is no contact or support from Lowes or Whirlpool. We have no other choice other than replace the hot water tank. We tried to find the right phone number to explain the situation to Whirlpool customer service rep.

I thought this was a nice high end washer and dryer set but it does not clean even wet mud. The mud just smears onto other parts of the clothes. My dog had an accident on her blanket so I threw only her blanket in on deep water setting, this is a large capacity washer and not a large blanket, the accident was still on her blanket when the cycle was finished. I had to rewash for another long cycle. Maybe its because it doesnt have an agitator. I was worried about this when I bought it and I will never by one again.

18 months ago my husband and I bought our first Whirlpool washer and dryer to go with our first home. 6 months and the dryer stopped spinning. There was an issue with the belt. 12 months later the washer has stopped draining and spinning. It is 2 months since our first filed complaint with our extended warranty company and we still dont have a washer that works. I dont care if I have to take my laundry to the river and beat it with a rock. I will never buy whirlpool again.

Whirlpool Cabrio 6600 SW2 - Somehow a coin or two (?) are under the tub. It is not a high pitched sound. Just sounds like the machine is rubbing against the tub or something when it is being used. It does an excellent job of washing and spin drying the clothes, but the noise irritates my wife, which then irritates me. I took the top piece off and can see a coin DOWN there, but cannot reach it. Must I turn the machine upside down and try to shake the coin(s) out?

Bought a dryer (wgd9050xw) 3 years ago. We bought a more expensive one than we had originally picked out. Every year its had to have a repair of same part. First year it was under warranty which tried to bill me so I had to dispute the charge. Charge was finally dropped. We just had it fixed again for third time in 3 years. Its a fire hazard because belt wears a pulley and basically melts it and gets belt hot. I just contacted Whirlpool and awaiting response.

Whirlpool side by side refrigerator/freezer Model #GSF26C5EXB. LESS than five years old and the ice maker is not working! Bought at Lowes. Great service. Out of warranty now. Lowes sent a repairman and it has to be replaced. I called Whirlpool and they said sorry. THATS IT? Ice makers dont ever last five years now? Unreal!

I bought a Whirlpool water heater 5 years ago and after one year I had to replace the thermocouple every 3 months. Each time I call to complain, they would just send me a new thermocouple. I asked them several times to replace the item and they refused and just continued to send me replacement parts and refuse to honor their warranty. The water heater had some type of defect, but they still refuse to replace the item and did admit on the phone they have records of several parts that they sent.

Since these are made in Mexico as told me by the Lowes rep, quality has suffered. 1st one so crooked and put Roger on, no doubt a crooked floor, could not be fixed or leveled or plumbed. Got a replacement and, yes, same problem! Took off upper hinges and reamed all 4 hole out to line up tops of doors. Only problem is box of fridge is sooo racked that rear shims are needed, and many to experiment. My floor is perfect so its not that. Fixed for now but I am a pretty.much a perfectionist. Dont buy, make. Then Chuck them all in a landfill where they belong! And I dare anyone to try and get thru to them! THEY DONT CARE AT ALL!

We bought a new Whirlpool counter depth side by side stainless steel refrigerator in January 2012. We have had 7 service calls because things were freezing on the top shelf. They installed a new part and it still froze. They told us to do dumb stuff at Whirlpool like turn the temp up, dont use the top shelf, etc. The money they want for these appliances and you should put a band aid on it to make it function properly? Duh? The final fix was to duct tape the vents to allow less air flow. This appliance should have been recalled. I have since read reviews and it is an ongoing problem. Before buying, do your homework and make sure the other brands are not manufactured by Whirlpool. The Whirlpool hotline for problems is not that service friendly, they have an attitude. I need to replace two more appliances and they will not be Whirlpool. The repair service was great but they are independent companies, not Whirlpool. How do you fix a lemon? Consumers need to be aware of this. Whirlpool would rather spend money on repairs that did not work instead of replacing the appliance. If you want 7 or more repair visits and no results, buy Whirlpool.

I thank the folks at Whirlpool for building a washer (Cabrio tub bearing failure) that lasted 22 days just shy of four years, better than the Whirlpool Duet that lasted 14 months, tub bearing failure also. Now I have high confidence that Whirlpool pre-engineers failure into every washer they build.

This machine does not clean the clothes well, keeps an odor even after using Clorox (probably due to water inside that never leaves), and does not spin the clothes well. Every washing is longer than traditional washers and then I must use the spin-only cycle twice (adding another 30 minutes). I must also shake the inside of the tub to get the spin to work at all. The tech came out and re-calibrated, but to no advantage. Terrible machine and should be, as one viewer said, under recall, in my opinion. NOT WORTH THE MONEY -- and I am very disappointed in Whirlpool.

Whirlpool has always been a quality product in my household. I had Whirlpool microwave prior to the one I recently purchased. It lasted 10 years and was used frequently and always on daily basis. It worked like a dream and I would never purchase any other brand!

Pulled a track home water heater out to replace with a Whirlpool 12 year smart heater. Well within 4 years with tank flush every year the water coming out of my hot water tap looks like mud. We have whole house water filters and when you drain the sink there is a layer of rust. I called and asked them what I should do and they told me to flush it with apple vinegar. Did this but a week later it was back. Called again and was told to do it three times with apple vinegar. There was nothing about this in the care manual about apple vinegar. I will never buy Whirlpool again NEVER!

Worst purchase I have ever made. When I purchased this Cabrio washer in 2015, I didnt find bad reviews but how I wish I had. This washer does not clean clothes well. It has caused holes in clothing and towels. Often all the load wont even be damp even if using the deep water feature. The wash loads rarely fill more than couple of inches. Clothes come out twisted and terribly wrinkled. Sheets and blankets will be half dry and unclean. TERRIBLE APPLIANCE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Now I am stuck with a high priced washer I wouldnt even feel good about giving away. WONT FILL. RUINS CLOTHES. TANGLES LOADS. DOESNT CLEAN. DOESNT RINSE PROPERLY. DO NOT BUY!

Whirlpool N50T61-403 - I bought this thing today 8.21.14 from Lowes. It is a Whirlpool 50-Gal water heater (6th sense) and was going to have it installed by their installer, but elected after seeing it was very similar to lining up with my old unit. I got it in and then filled it. After filling, I lit the pilot light per the instructions then turned the knob for heating it up. Success, the flame spread across the burners...then went out. The steady blink changed to the 2 blink code indicating a bad thermopile. It did not work - right out of the box. No plumber near me carries the part. Whirlpool has thus been pretty good about it offering to have someone come out at their cost... But if no one has the parts, that is no good. I am moving from this house so if we can get it to work, its the problem for the next owner. If not - Ill have to get an RMA and go back to Lowes... Then try the Rheem from Home Depot. Will see if they will overnight a part tomorrow. I found the other reviews - and I dont like it that this thing appears to have difficulty right out of the box.

Less than 2 years old; a loud chirp began and the water dispenser stopped working, along with the ice. Repairman came out--ordered a part. One week later another repairman; another part. One week later another repairman--couldnt fix the problem. By now no cooling in the refrigerator at all. Tech line has to review the findings. Have heard nothing after nearly 3 weeks without a fridge, ruined food, and no ice other than my back yard!

I have the model FG1H5040T3NOV water heater and had found this message board. I called the number posted by Chris with American Water Heater and provided them with my serial number. They shipped me the replacement assembly next day and after about an hour, I had it installed and working again. Im not too happy with the fact that it failed, but it does appear they have their act together in getting the replacement parts distributed.Based on the discussion with the person on the phone, my only real gripe is this: the cause of the component failure was potentially caused by a dirty-flame trap that supposedly needs to be cleaned regularly. Since the trap is underneath the water heater and is in no way really accessible, relying on people to see the fine print in the manual (which hardly anyone reads) isnt sufficient. At an absolute minimum, a very clear and apparent sticker should be included on all water heaters indicating this needs to be cleaned and a clear description of how to clean it properly to prevent this sort of unnecessary headache in the future.

Purchased a Gold Series Whirlpool dishwasher, Mo. No. WDT720PADW2, From Maruszcak in Schererville, In. on 1-29-16. Approximately a year later door was replaced by Whirlpool because of paint problem due to faulty design. Replaced door is now peeling and rusting by exhaust vent also. Contacted Whirlpool and they will do nothing more. They said it was a favor the first time they replaced the door. They feel this is a cosmetic problem! I paid a total of $675.03, Their repairman would charge a $100.00 to look at it and another $235.00 for a new door. I feel this is a design problem and they should replace it with a new model, a refund would be better. Very unlikey, because Whirlpool does not stand behind their products. The line also includes Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana and Hot Point. Besides this I have found plastic pieces that have fallen off! I had to use plastic ties to keep them in place. Dishwasher does not clean well. Have to rinse everything first. Products are bad, stay away from them!

We have always bought whirlpool appliances, and trusted the name. We can put a man on the moon but we cant build a reliable bottom freezer refrigerator. My previous refrigerator was whirlpool. 19 yrs old when it went out for a new whirlpool bottom freezer fridge, 2014 Jan. 14 months after purchase, no warranty. The temp in freezer and upper compartment would increase and stop making ice. At first, we thought it was the icemaker. Repairman NOT FACTORY TRAINED, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.. Came and looked at it said, yep, icemaker. Plugged it in after 4 days. Just like brand new - making ice, not the icemaker. About 4 days later same problem - temp increasing. Called the store where we purchased it, sent the same repairman. He said it was a cooling fan. This went on for 2 months trying to figure the problem. Well, we cant rebuild a refrigerator out of parts it doesnt need, so we called a FACTORY TRAINED TECH who diagnosed the thermostat and defroster in the bottom of fridge taking two screws out and pulling bottom freezer out. It was iced up. Cost to fix it - 522.00. So I called whirlpool corp., explained problem. They agreed to pay for parts if we paid labor, 100.00. This is doable. However, if we continue to have problems after this, we will purchase a top freezer fridge, no ice maker because they constantly break down.

This is the only time in my life when I have seen a Microwave behave so badly (and one that is relatively expensive). The microwave is defective out of the box. Seems like there is a comWhirlpool MWA269 (4You)mon trend with Whirlpool products and cheap Chinese boards. The microwave never stops working once the timer runs out. It will just keep going. Model is Whirlpool MWA269 (4You).

I have had my washing Machines since 2011 and have had continuous problems with the washing machine during spin cycle sounding like a freight train going through my house. Whirlpool has had people to my house 5 times to fix. When warranty was up in 2012, I was told they would continue to cover this particular issue. They came out again in April 2013 and now I am being told, Too bad; if you want fixed then you will need to pay for it.

Purchased washer Aug 2012 and has increasingly been leaving white residue after wash cycles. Have used the Extra Rinse function to no avail and use half the recommended amount of HE Tide. Now I have to run the Rinse, Drain, Spin function twice with darks to remove the residue. I have also been doing the monthly maintenance which has not helped at all. This machine seriously detracts from the Whirlpool name and if they are unwilling to fix the problem, it only publicly displays the companys integrity.

Purchased Whirlpool gas hot water heater from LOWES on 9/25/2016. After the installation, tried to light the pilot light for 90 minutes. Followed the recommended instructions, I could not get it to light. Called LOWES they told me to call Whirlpool. I did so, and told them I will return the heater to LOWES the next day. Whirlpool customer service very bad. Returned the heater to LOWES the next morning, went to a local plumbing shop and purchased a Rheem heater. After installation it lit very first attempt. Now three weeks later I get a letter in mail from collection agency that LOWES turned me in for stopping payment on the check I wrote them. After reading the many negative reviews and they disregard for my and my familys safety, nobody should purchase a Whirlpool gas heater from LOWES.

After almost 5 years of satisfactory performance, our $1200 Whirlpool Duet washing machine WFW9400SU1 requires repairs costing over $1100. Similar to another complaint listed, some parts rusted out, leading to extensive damage during use, which we realized only after the spin cycle became incredibly loud. Now the entire gut of the machine (bearing, drum, arm, casing, etc.) needs to be replaced - $900 parts and $200 labor. I trust my repairman (who said theyd seen this type of problem before with Whirlpool) especially because he recommended buying a new machine instead. I called Whirlpool, and they said they could do nothing for me which made me very angry. This is a mechanical problem that could have been avoided by using proper materials. Whatever happened to the washing machines that would last 15-20 years?

We bought our dishwasher April 2018. This morning I noticed the paint had bubbled above the heat vent (area 3x 1/2). Upon closer inspection, the the paint was also peeling. We called the company to see if they would replace the skin but the agent said the only thing they could do was send us touch-up paint. The door is considered cosmetic & only covered for 30 days. If we wanted to replace the door panel, we were welcome to buy one from them. However as this seems to be a manufacturing defect, we would be replacing the door every 16 months. When we realized whirlpool wouldnt back their product, my husband looked a little closer to see what needed to be done & found that it had rusted under the paint & painting on top of rust will adhere properly.

This Whirlpool dishwasher is the worst dishwasher I have had in 45 years of using dishwashers. I have bought dishwashers, but now rent and so am stuck with this one. Initially, I complained to the landlord about the dishwasher not getting the dishes clean, so the repairman came and recommend replacement. Unfortunately, it was replaced with the same brand. The new one didnt wash any better than the old one so I pre-rinsed everything and the dishes still come out with sprayed dried food on them. The spray holes in the arms fill with food no matter how thoroughly I rinse the dishes. The silverware in the door rarely is clean. The filter is always coated with food particles. The top shelf is always worse than the bottom shelf. I have used inexpensive GEs before and nothing compares to the poor quality of the whirlpool.

This is my first electric range. It’s amazing! It cooks evenly and at the exact temperature! The stovetop has size adjusted burners, again at the precise temperature. And the look is very sleek & modern, perfect for a new kitchen! I am so very pleased.

I love my Whirlpool gas stove and oven. We opted for the convection feature as we are a family of 7 and often need multiple items in the oven. This was a very useful detail. I didnt know I needed that. I now cant go without!

Its awful! We paid over $600 for our Whirlpool Gold Series convection/microwave clean release oven (model GMH 6185XVQ1). It worked fine for 12.5 months at which time it started clicking and, after a final zapping sound, would not heat anything at all. I called Customer Service, Oh, so sorry, its past its one year warranty. I was finally transferred to Escalations then to the supervisor of the Escalation specialist. Finally, we negotiated that I would pay for the service call ($129) and they would pay for parts (which were around $300 for a fried magnetron, diode, and something else). That repair was 6 months ago. Today while heating a glass of water in our microwave, I heard the familiar zap and no matter what, the microwave will not heat anything. I called Customer Service again, figuring the newer parts were still under warranty. Wrong. The newer parts were only covered for 90 days. This time, they tried to sell me a service plus package. For only $289, they will re-warranty my microwave for 1 year after they come out and fix it again (cost on me). My other option is to pay $129 again for another service call plus any parts (which Im sure will be about the same as last time. I will never buy Whirlpool again! Buyer beware!

Ive never considered writing a complaint before, but feel it is necessary in this situation. I have had my Whirlpool refrigerator since November, 2007. It has worked great until this past April when the freezer began to overfreeze, cause frost and ice to build up. I have had Whirlpool Factory Service out to repair the unit twice a month since April with still no resolution and the appointments are getting harder and harder to get someone to come out in a timely fashion. I called on September 1st and the closet appointment is September 15th. They werent even able to book the appointment when I called. I was told someone would call back within 3/4 days. When I didnt hear back today, I called to find out an appointment was set.Ive called the Resolution Team to obtain back records of service but havent been successful in receiving a phone call or email. I havent received all of the follow up emails after service which is frustrating since there have been two technicians that have come out for repair and were not provided any history on the unit. If I had the follow up emails, I would be able to share that information with them.I contacted Customer Service to find out what I can do in regards to the issue I am having and was told its best to stay with the service provider that I began with since they are familiar with the issue. I would imagine if they are familiar with the issue that it should have been fixed by now. Ive also sent a response card back to Whirlpool Home Appliances at the Survey Response Center and havent heard anything from them either. When I called to follow up there wasnt anyone that could point me in the right direction to obtain answers. They were able to provide me with the mailing address for Consumer Affairs though. Ive been told numerous times that if it gets to a point it costs too much to fix they will replace the unit. Im not sure when that decision is made. I have an extended contract and will extend it again in October when it expires. I just want the unit fixed or replaced. Its been since April with the same issue. Very disappointed consumer.

Let me start out by saying that I had a Whirlpool washer that lasted me for over 25 years and done a great job of washing my heavily soiled clothes. One day it refused to run and I tried to get parts for it but it had become obsolete and no parts were to be found for it, so I had to buy a new washer. I chose whirlpool again and let me say that it was a huge mistake. This model is a low water, high efficiency, top loading machine. It has nubs in the bottom that agitate to clean the clothes. The first time that I used the machine, I found that I had made a mistake purchasing this machine. It does not clean the clothes and there is NOTHING efficient about this machine. I have to run the washer twice to clean my clothes and they are still not clean. It leaves soap in the clothes and does not rinse them clean of the soap. What it does very well is extract water from the clothes during the spin cycle. This washer really turns up the high RPM`s on spin cycle. It has ripped apart several of my shirts during spin cycle. Whirlpool really failed badly on this machine. I see clearly now that Whirlpool is not the company that they used to be back in the 1980`s. I still have the whirlpool dryer that I bought back in the 1980`s and it still works very well. To end this story, I loaded up this NEW WASHER in the back of my truck and took it to the scrap yard and I asked them to destroy it in front of my eyes. I wished that I had recorded the destruction of this piece of JUNK and posted it on YouTube for the world to see. I got over $450.00 of pleasure watching the crane operator completely destroy this pile of crap. GREAT JOB WHIRLPOOL … YOU HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER FOREVER. I WILL NEVER BUY ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE and will advise others not to buy Whirlpool products as well. I am a male, 62 years old and work hard for my ill spent money on your JUNK. Life is always a trial, live and learn the hard way. Warning to all consumers. Do not buy Whirlpool products ever!!!! Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer 5 years ago because our other washer died after coming home from vacation. Its just 2 people in this household so I dont do mountains of laundry. The other machine lasted 15 years so go figure. We purchased the Cabrio from Lowes. Got the extended warranty but as it goes the machine fails when all warranties expires. Over the last couple of weeks this machine started to not complete a wash cycle. All lights go off except for spin light and machine stops. Even asked the person in charge of washers and dryers at Lowes about this who then told me to get an extension cord and plug it into a different outlet. Seriously! I have had to unplug the machine after it fails to complete cycle, wait 5 minutes or so, plug it back in, select rinse and spin, it fails again 13 minutes left in cycle, unplug again, plug it back in, select drain and spin, wait for it to MAYBE complete that cycle. Do not purchase this type of machine. Just for a technician to come look at it is $100 or more and to replace whatever circuit board is probably another $300 or more. Screw that! Going to find a good old fashion one if possible. Piece of junk. Not going to spend $700 or $1000 just to wash clothes for 2 people.

It works extremely well. My wife and I have had it for several several years and no problems with it and it cleans the dishes very well. We really like the silverware holder. The right size for a family. Recommend it to anyone.

In all of my 50 years of marriage and buying stoves, I have never had an oven breakdown. I live in Canada - I purchased three appliances, all Whirlpool 2 years ago. I had to have a service call on the fridge three weeks ago - a little rubber nipple was clogged up and water was running into my freezer. Bill $100.00 - two weeks ago, the broil element in my stove would not turn off when the bake cycle heated up. Actually, you did not have to press the fast heat button as the broil came on by itself. I have been waiting almost two weeks for the part - today I was told it would be another week. The part has to come from the US - what ever happened to Whirlpool Canada???? - I am told the bill will be $350.00 and maybe more plus the service call. I do not find this acceptable. What do you do when you have already invested the money in the product. Bring back the old Moffat stoves. I would like to be reimbursed for the money I have put out and will put out.

I brought a whirlpool dishwasher in 2013. It never did clean dishes, had to wash them by hand before putting them in dishwasher. Had someone come out and check it. He told me I was using wrong type of soap, so I changed. That didn’t do a thing. Now I have mold growing in the dishwasher because the tub is cracked all around the inside. Called whirlpool, of course they couldn’t do anything about it. Have never heard of dishwasher cracking. So today, Lowes came out and took picture of crack that is where I brought it. So am waiting to find out what is going to happen. Will not ever buy whirlpool again and will tell all my friends.

Bought a Whirlpool fridge at Lowes sale when the previous Samsung suddenly died before the Thanksgiving Day. Under the circumstances at the time, it was largely a price driven decision (for a fridge of a certain size with some non-negotiable characteristics, though.) I could not be happier with its performance in the two years since the purchase.

I cannot adequately express my dissatisfaction with the Cabrio washer and dryer that I purchased couple years ago. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. That includes Maytag; Kenmore; or Amana products. I have had nothing but problems from the start. The washer sounds like jet engine taking off in the spin cycle. I found out the washer needs new tub bearings ~ $200. The washer is tearing up towels during the wash cycle not sure what the cause is.My washer will only wash clothes in certain cycles (bulk). I keep getting error codes in normal or other cycles. The washer takes long time to fill so it times out during fill cycle. I replaced fill lines and checked for blockage, everything was clear. The washer probably needs either new motherboard or water inlet valve. Not sure which, maybe both? It is impossible to wash a load of clothes without getting the UL unbalanced load indicator. I also have problems balancing the load. I have taken wet clothes out and put them back in with no luck. It takes hours for a load to finally wash.The dryer has had its problems. I just replaced the belt tensioner on the dryer because it was making a terrible screeching sound. The noise was very annoying. I am very disappointed with quality of Whirlpool products. However, don’t worry about improving customer relations because I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. P. S. How come you have not issued product recall? There are 1,000s of similar complaints concerning the Cabrio washer. Frustrated customer.

Bought a French door whirlpool gold, wanted a good long lasting fridge. Bought in late 2011. After having it a couple of weeks we noticed the ice maker would take days to make ice. So we called to have it looked at. The repairman said if it is slow, switch it to fast ice. It made ice even slower, but the repair company said if it is making ice, and he comes out, we would be charged. So we lived with it. In 2014 it stopped making ice at all. We called they sent someone out and said it was a control board. They had to order it, and came back a week later to put it in. They left and said we would have ice soon. Never did!!!So we call again, they come out and said no power to ice maker. He called Whirlpool and they said wires in the freezer door were worn and broke. Well the door is non-serviceable and the cost of the door will exceed the price of the fridge! What kind of crap is that!! Long story short I will never buy another whirlpool again, and when I hear of someone buying new appliances I warn them to stay away from whirlpool!!! Run!!!

We purchased a brand new Whirlpool water heater from Lowe’s two years ago. The water heater is not heating properly, and I contacted customer service to inquire about their great warranty. I was very disappointed with their poor customer service, but above all, their warranty. They emailed instructions to run a test, which did not resolve my issue since I still run out of hot water halfway through my shower. Mind you, its only one person in the house for a 40-gallon Whirlpool water heater. I have replaced the heating elements and thermostat, and it is still not heating. I contacted Whirlpool customer service, and they are refusing to replace it, stating that the water heater is working. I will never buy any Whirlpool appliances again. They do not back up their products, and their customer service is worthless. My recommendation is not to buy Whirlpool products.

My new Washing machine was to be energy efficient. Yes, It uses less water to wash a load of clothes. Problem is, it takes twice as long to wash a load of clothes as older models. If it uses twice as much electricity, In what universe can this be considered energy efficient?

My washer is nearly 7 yrs. old. It has almost been a full-time spectator sport. Good thing its in the kitchen! Twists sheets so badly - on sheets setting - that it stops and I must undo the balloon its formed and rearrange the wet, heavy 2 sheets and 2 pillow cases. Now, it cant even finish the clean washer cycle without stopping. It seems it doesnt use enough water to do the job of washing items thoroughly. And it balks at heavy loads - which is what we bought this washer to do - blankets, rugs, quilts, etc. Two people, now only one, and two small dogs. I should have at least 10 years of service from that purchase. Repairman says $300+, and he sees it as a very common code. Build them to last or give up. Im disgusted with Whirlpool now.

Whirlpool gas range model WDF560SAFT bisque color, purchased in June 2020 from Home Depot online. After a 3.5 month wait range was delivered September 12, 2020 and installed. Have used the oven less than 5 times. Standing in my kitchen yesterday and heard a pinging noise, noticed chips of the finish all over my floor, it was chipping inside the top of the oven door, overnight the exterior top of the door was also chipping, bits of finish flying all over my kitchen! Have been on hold with Home a depot Cust. Serv. for almost 60 min. Will attempt to return to a Home Depot. Not sure what to do short of complaining about lousy Whirlpool product. Next time will come to Consumer Affairs and research.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7340XW washer is a piece of junk! I have had issues since the day I bought it and havent even had some of the failed parts that other people are talking about. It does not save water. I went from 5000 gal to 13000 gal in one month! It doesnt wash clothes. Everything comes out with the same spots they went in with and then some. Light colors come out with what looks like grease spots and whites come out with black spots. I have had it five months and have used six of the monthly cleaning tabs. Clothes get tangled and torn because of the speed of the spin cycle even on delicate. This unit needs to be recalled and redesigned or customers should be offered a different washer of their choice within the price range of this unit.

Electrolux dishwasher model EI24ID50QS - My husband picked this dishwasher after reading all the good reviews. However, after having issues with it, I tried to post my review and it would not post. I think Electrolux is somehow only posting good reviews and leaving out the bad. I had a technician come out to see why it took 6 hours to go through the cycle along with not cleaning the dishes well. He said I needed to run hot water before starting the cycle and that I needed to prewash my dishes before loading.In other words, its not a dishwasher but a sanitizer. Keep in mind that I rinse my dishes before loading, so I dont have food particles stuck dry on my dishes. So, I used his method of running hot water before cycle is started. It works ok when you dont use your kitchen faucet during the dishwashing cycle. However, the minute you use your faucet, the dishwasher runs for 6 hours! This is the worst dishwasher ever! Not to mention, the control panel is so sensitive that if you accidentally touch a cycle to start, you cant get it to cancel. It is ridiculous. Dont buy! It will be your biggest mistake.

I bought the Whirlpool bottom mount freezer to find out there were problems with the drainage. I contacted whirlpool and they sent the parts to fix it but they did not send a repairman. I’m 80 years old and I’m not getting on the floor to fix this issue besides pulling it out to get behind it. The ice will buildup in the freezer so I have to empty the freezer and break up the ice. If I don’t break up the ice it will frost over. I will never buy another whirlpool refrigerator and I’ve been looking at replacing this one.

I sold my 4 yr old Maytag and bought the Cabrio 3 yrs ago because of all the manufacturer promising advertising. Its a top load with agitator, but it takes 2 hrs to wash a load and buzzes the entire time. So relaxing coming home and spending my evening listening to this buzz, so loud I have to max out my tv to hear it. With 2 hrs spent washing a load, I can only do one per evening. Whirlpool you owe all of us a replacement or a major discount coupon toward another (50%) if you are worth anything at all. You are scum!

I had purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator Side-by-Side ED2KHAXVS in Jan. 2013, the fridge had stopped working in the last week in 2014. I am out of a fridge as of today 01/13/2015. I did not have an extended warranty, I have called Whirlpool in Michigan and inquire if there has been any complain about the fridge, my question was not answered! I had bought the refrigerator from Karls in Fairfield, NJ. I found out from the repair person that I needed a new starter and a new compressor, I was surprised to have learn that the major parts do not have any guarantee on them beyond the warranty. WHY IS THIS REFRIGERATOR IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST?

My Whirlpool washing machine has not worked properly from the first day. Whirlpool washing machine customer care is pathetic. I bought a Whirlpool semi-automatic washing machine, Sparkle. This product is in warranty period. From the first day, this product did not give right result. Machine sound is very high and I called customer care center may times (around 9-10 times). They sent this machine three times in service center but the results remained the same. The problem arose when we put some load in it. He said the gear box should be changed and the machine should be cleansed off the dirt. He offered some powder costing Rs. 1500/- to be used in washing machine.Later, he asked Rs. 350/- for other parts after two months then I paid them again after 15 days for a piece that did not work. Then, they want to charge me Rs. 350/- again. When I showed the previous slip, they then changed that part without any cost. But after 15 days, again same problem occurred. They charged me 150/- Rs. but the problem is the same. Total money I spent is Rs. 1500/-+350/-+150/-. I also purchased a stand and cover for safety, but what will happen if product is not good? The technicians visited many times and they all said this piece is not okay but they cant do anything. The company should change this product. The machine is still rotting at my home. Im not sure if it could be accepted to be exchanged for a new one. Customer care gave us the satisfaction code but technician did not ask for this code. Im really very sad that I have called around 10 complaints within two years. Why are you people not listening? You all are doing time pass. You can check my complaint codes in your records and ask your technicians about Noida. Many times, I did not note the complaints number. Please open my file and check the issue. I told the technician many times that I want to talk to your seniors and want to tell them the problem because from the first day, it was the same, but they refused. I have also purchased a 320 LT fridge from you but that product is very nice. You should listen to our problems. This was not expected of such a branded company. I promised myself that I will never in my life purchase a Whirlpool product and advise the same to others.

I purchased a Gas Stove from Home Depot on 11/23 and it was delivered on December 3rd. My God, Im having a dinner party tonight and the stove doesnt heat up past 170.. Unbelievable!! Need a replacement gas range. Tried to chat and call Whirlpool unsuccessfully. I am very one disappointed customer right now!

This is an AMAZING dryer. Probably the best I've ever used. My husband & I live in a mobile home so our main reason for purchase is the fact it is VENTLESS & it's compact. The dryer is so quiet. You can hardly hear it with a tv going. It doesn't take any more time to dry than another modern dryer. The end result are damp clothes, however there is enough steam and heat left in the bin at the end of the cycle to where if you fluff the clothes they'll be dry in a matter of seconds. The dryer acts as a dehumidifier by capturing moisture from the air it uses. All the features are up to date and easy to figure out. It's worked extremely well since we've had it and I'm happy to say we LOVE IT!

I purchased a WP side by side refrigerator and made sure I purchased an extended warranty. I paid the extended warranties faithfully each year since the initial purchase. In the last few weeks we had to call the phone number on the last WP extended warranty invoice and they sent a repairman. He said the refrigerator was un-repairable. The repairman gave my husband SR#** and a Cust. Service telephone #800-253-1301. I called and they gave me another SR#** and phone #866-931-7390 to call the following Friday. I called the number (Team Resolution Specialists) Friday 6/26/20 and was offered an amount that wouldnt even pay half of a refrigerator like that. They did not even offer to replace the refrigerator.The company where I work (for 20 years) sells Whirlpool appliances. We have purchased thousands and thousands of dollars of WP appliances. I work in Accounts Payable. I print a check for the appliances to pay for them promptly. I am so disappointed in Whirlpool. What has happened to Whirlpools quality of product and quality of service. I am so disappointed.

We bought the microwave new after the 2011 flood where we had lost everything in Tennessee. I wanted to get Whirlpool appliances in the kitchen so all appliances were replaced. We bought a Whirlpool model WMH1163XVU-1 microwave; the unit will run but doesnt heat. I also called Whirlpool and with no regard to customer service at all even with all the complaints... This saddens me because I will never buy a Whirlpool appliance again and my grandparents only believed in them... With all the complaints, the attorney generals office should do something for the people.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator on 12-26-14 for approximately $2000.00. I was happy as a clam. On May 22, 2015 it died. No freezer or refrigerator. I called Whirlpool because I had a warranty, or so I thought. The Whirlpool representative was less than helpful, couldnt send a repair man until May 27th. When I told her that that date was unacceptable her response was well I could buy a new refrigerator. To say I was upset is an understatement. Everything in the freezer thawed of course and I cooked for 12 hours trying to save something and gave away all I could and filled the garbage can with the rest. I lost over a thousand dollars in food. Apparently my call to Whirlpool generated a survey sent to me and I filled it out with malice. Whirlpool called me regarding the survey and said they were sorry about the refrigerator but the appliance repair person would be there on the 26th, and oh by the way will you do another survey about their response to my concerns? I was not very lady like when I told them no. So here we are on the 26th and Ive gotten a robo call saying the appliance repair man would be here between 2 and 5pm on the 26th. That repair man showed up @ 4:45pm. He never looked at the refrigerator. I told him exactly what had happened and what noises the refrigerator was making. He promptly picked up his laptop and said I will turn the report in and their office would call me tomorrow to schedule a repair man to come and fix it. Needless to say I was livid and told him that I had been led to believe that the refrigerator would be fixed by him that day. He promptly left right after he gave me his business card. So here we are on the 28th and no one from that company or Whirlpool has contacted me about when repairs will be made. I have never been this upset or angry in my life. I have a worthless piece of junk sitting in my kitchen. Ive lost thousands of dollars. I had saved that money to buy a new refrigerator and Im not a rich person. In fact, I am a retired nurse living on social security and all I want is a working refrigerator that Ive already paid for. Apparently Whirlpool could care less. Im at my wits end as to what to do next. Of course I will call the appliance repair company tomorrow to see if they are going to fix it. I hold out no hope that it will be repaired. And yes, Im tired of buying ice.

We bought a Whirlpool microwave model # GH7208XRY4 at the Habitat For Humanity store. It was brand new still in the unopened box with the warranty card in the box. The box was undamaged and in perfect shape. We loved this microwave until six months later, it started to throw a code F6 and wouldnt work - it wouldnt turn on or off and we couldnt use it at all. Since this is an under the cabinet model, it was a little hard to uninstall it as its a built-in. I called the customer service center and they dont cover it because the ordinal purchase date was 2012, we bought it in Oct 2014. I guess someone bought it in 2012. They say that since the ordinal purchase date was 2012, they dont warranty. They also said because I had bought it from the ReStore, it was a donated item and would cover it. I told them the box was unopened and it worked for several months, so their stand was it might have been damaged when I bought it. Again I told them it worked for 6 months, so how could it have been damaged when I bought it? They were very unhelpful.

Only problem is you have to open door to access functions. 30 second increments and stop are on outside. Beautiful to look at and inside is easy to clean. 4 fan levels, vent inside or outside. 2 light settings. Nice and bright. Low profile over stove but big enough to hold large casseroles.

I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher in 2008 from Best Buy and purchased the extended warranty through Best Buy. First of all, my complaint is not with Best Buy (model # DU1145XTPBA). I have had nothing but trouble with the unit not filling with water, being noisy, and other problems. And then, my intelligence is insulted by these independent contractors, who are supposed to be appliance repair specialists. I found that far from the truth in most cases. They have a list of patented things that the consumer is doing wrong: not having a hot water heater next to the unit, using too much detergent, not loading it properly, and on and on. They must think we are idiots. I always would run the water from the sink till it got hot before filling. And I am a miser so I use less detergent than what the manufacturer or the detergent package says. Anyway to make a long tale short, it started leaking last week, so I assumed the door seal or some other such thing. But lo and behold, the door is rotted out at the bottom. The black finish has bubbled up and the metal is actually rotting away. I am from up north and it looks like my old Chevy 2 Nova rotted out. I called Whirlpool and spoke with several people and supposedly someone in management. They were, of course, sympathetic but offered no assistance or explanation. They offered to send a factory authorized repairman to replace the door at more than the cost of a new dishwasher. Are we that stupid? They never offered me a voucher for a discount on a new unit, which I am going to have to buy. I would not have accepted it anyway, as my last few experiences with Whirlpool have been dreadful. I will never buy another Whirlpool anything. The name used to stand for a quality product that you could depend on. But now it is like most things are offered to the consumer in this throw away society. And as long as we keep buying inferior products and only expecting them to last a few years, I am afraid that is what we will continue to get. Be vocal and let them know how you feel, even though they are probably yawning on the other side of the phone. They are without compassion and could not care any less. They are just looking for a paycheck and have probably heard a hundred complaints like mine, so its water off the proverbial ducks back. But when its their own job in jeopardy, perhaps they will start passing on these complaints to someone who will be willing to listen. Its a very bad experience and I will never buy Whirlpool again.

Our Whirlpool Cabrio washer is 2 years old and also sounds as if its a jet on the runway preparing for takeoff. The spin cycle started this about a month ago. It is so loud now. It is just SCARY. I am so angry! No recall??? seriously???!!! Rip-off. I will NEVER buy anything Whirlpool again!!!

I have gallon Whirlpool hot water heater. After 2 1/2 years, the heater started indicating upper sensor failure. I have had servicemen out here every 3-4 weeks since June. I have replaced gas valves, a new sensor and a new gas meter. I have made several calls to Whirlpool, but cant keep this hot water heater going. I am going to have to find a new heater.

I purchased Whirlpool french door refrigerator wrf535smbm00 at the beginning of this year and it has really made my house an unpleasant place to be. My main complaint is that it is very, very loud, and seems to vibrate through the whole house. It runs most of the time at a level of 60 dB, which might be considered a low noise level for a mechanical appliance that runs occasionally like a dishwasher, but is quite loud for an appliance that, according to their own specs, runs at least 40% of the time. Nobody wants to notice their refrigerator. They just want it to work.Which brings me to my second complaint, the temperature control is all over the place, generally ranging from 25-50 F. I find it difficult to believe that the government, which always seems overly concerned about the temperature of restaurant food, or the pasteurization of cheeses doesnt care that an appliance nearly every American household has doesnt necessarily do its job, and isnt required to display internal temperature. The old-fashioned set this dial to an arbitrary number and hope its cool enough is not charming.Finally, though the finish is listed as stainless steel, mine started sporting tiny rust spots after only three months. Whirlpool states that Cosmetic issues are covered by the manufacturers warranty for the first 30 days of ownership only. After the first 30 days any repairs for cosmetic issues are the consumers responsibility. It seems as though they know theyve used a low grade of stainless steel.

I have had too many problems with the thermocouple beginning about two years after I purchased the water heater in 2003. Whirlpool keeps replacing the thermocouple, but I have to pay for the plumber to come out and repair the unit. This runs me about $180 each time. The thermocouple has burned out three times since September of this year. The plumber didnt charge me anything the second time it went out. But it went out for the 3rd time today and he recommended that I replace the unit. Of course, it is out of warranty and Whirlpool was happy to tell me that I could purchase a new thermocouple at my own expense from them. I have paid for this water heater three times over with repairs. Whirlpool knows that there is a defect with the design of the water heater. There is no way that a regular consumer can get inside the water heater to clean it. I will never purchase any Whirlpool products ever! I advise anyone reading this to follow suit.

I would like to know if anyone else is having trouble with the broiler unit. The unit quit working. Thankfully I had purchased the extended warranty. The guy came out, cleaned the orifice and called it good. The next day I went to use it, and guess what, it did not work!! So we thought maybe we needed to leave the oven door cracked open a bit... Well, guess what... It melted two of my knobs!! We called, got another guy out here. He checked everything. Even pulled the stove out to check out connections. Then he informs us that you can set the broiler to whatever temp you want. Thats new. So again, we try the broiler.... Guess what... It got to the temp and clicked off. Now I ask, how does one broil a steak if it does that? I did call Whirlpool directly and got nothing. Our model is WFG361LVQ2. So please, if anyone out there knows that this is how it is supposed to be... please let me know.

In the middle of the evening the door glass spontaneous shattered with nobody around. Its only a 3 year old microwave builder installed in a new home. Ive always heard Whirlpool appliances are garbage but this proves it 100 percent.

I have had my stove for 3 years and it works fine. However since I have become a grandparent, I have been extremely worried about the chance of being burnt. the problem is once you turn off the burner, it doesnt look any different than it does when not in use. It stays hot for a very long time however. Hot enough to burn or melt anything. There is no blocking a child from reaching up and touching it. I have placed a loaf of bread near it only to have it melt down the side. The burner didnt look hot at all. This was at least 15 min. after turning off the burner. Im not trying to cause issues but I believe this is a real danger, not only at the risk of someone getting a burn but also to the point of an entire family losing their home or even their lives. A simple flammable item being knocked over could start a fire. I ask that someone look into these risk.

Very dependable. We loved all of our appliances in the past as well as in the present. It has been a go to for us especially with bad experiences with other brands like OG and GE. We have gotten a washer and a good dryer and have worked. No complaints whatsoever.

Stove was purchased in June, 2021. Two months later, oven will not heat up!!! Contacts Whirlpool, and TEN days later, a service person finally shows up. Problem appears to be a circuit board that they dont have, and has to be ordered! When will it arrive? He has no idea!!! I called Whirlpool, but its frustrating and a waste of time. You only get to talk to someone that appears to be reading from a script! If were lucky, well be without an oven for one month; however, it could be two...or three...or four!!! My advice: Dont buy this stove/range!!! Not only is the oven an issue, but it just seems flimsy and subpar quality, especially the oven door. Added to that, the glass top is very difficult to keep clean... Worse than any glass top stove weve had in the past.

I have a Whirlpool refrigerator and it is the 2nd one in 12 months. The first one the refrigerator was freezing food in the fridge part and thawing food in the freezer part. After several times a technician came to try to fix the problem and arguments with Whirlpool. They finally replaced the refrigerator. The new one is now doing the same thing. I am contacting Whirlpool tomorrow.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator less than a year ago and both the door and icemaker have a problem in which PC Richards, the store I purchased it from, has had to service the refrigerator at least 3 times and have not resolved the problem. The door does not close properly and every time I use the icemaker, condensation builds up. Each time a tech person comes to my home, a different reason is given. I need this problem resolved. I dont need to monitor the refrigerator like a sick patient.

I purchased this washer model WTW4950XW0 new. Within 6 months, it stopped spinning and was repaired under warranty. The spin actuator was defective. Great. A few months later, it stopped spinning, repaired under warranty and the spin actuator was bad. A few months later it stopped spinning, repaired under warranty, and the actuator was bad. Great. Another few months it stopped spinning again. This time, Whirlpool sent someone to repair it, another bad spin actuator. This time we had to pay for the part. So now that we are completely on our own, it stopped spinning yet again. Let me guess. The spin actuator is bad!!! Incredible. What a piece of crap. This washer was never used heavily.

The stainless steel refrigerator door is rusting after only 5 months and the company respond it is cosmetic and we the customer have to live with it.... They will send a cleaning product which didnt remove the rust. Review that was written on the company facebook page wasnt published because it didnt meet the company website guideline. Its disappointing and frustrating to realize that we have to go through it. Not happy with customer service.

The self cleaning work very well. All you need is clean the filter every time you use the dryer. I had the large capacity. I can wash my blankets and heavy clothes like commercial machine and the machine is programmable for your wash load.

On December 21, it became clear that I needed to replace our 13-year old Rheem water heater. We decided to buy one from Lowes, 36 miles away and have a handy man install it. He installed the new Whirlpool 50 gal gas water heater with a 12-year warranty on Friday, the 22nd, but could not get it to stay lit. He called Whirlpool to troubleshoot. They said it could be one of two parts and that they would ship the parts on the Monday after Christmas. He asked who would install and they recommended a local plumber. He called that plumber but they indicated they did not do Whirlpool warranty work and would have to charge.On Monday, I called Whirlpool and was assured the parts would be shipped that day for overnight delivery. I confronted them about the local plumber not doing their warranty work so they set up an appointment with a company called A&E for Wednesday morning. On Tuesday morning, I called Whirlpool to get the tracking number on the parts and was told that they did not get shipped on Monday as promised but would be shipped that day, arriving by the end of the day Wednesday, too late for the appointment for installation.By Tuesday night, my wife got on this site and was appalled to read the numerous identical complaints. I decided that Wednesday morning that I would hire a plumber to remove the Whirlpool and install another so we would not have a lifetime of problems from Whirlpool. The plumber installed a different water heater. It started right up and we have had no problems since. I got an R or RA number from Whirlpool which I think they only gave me because the parts had not arrived on time and I returned the piece of ** to Lowes for a refund. Lowes has a seven-day return policy of these.

Whirlpool Dishwasher is 5 years old. Used in a one-person household where dishes are washed approx.. every four days (rinsed before placing in d/washer.) Recently at completion of cycle, 2 of water remained on the bottom (still there.) Whirlpool told me it sounds like I need a new pump, the cost of which would be approx. $300 (tech visit and evaluation, parts and labor.) I understand appliances dont last forever but I expected more than five years.

Whirlpool’s WFG505M0BS is a reliable gas range. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles (no self-cleaning mode or convection oven), but it’s also not priced as such. If you’re looking for an appliance that’s sleek, smartly designed, and quick to heat up, it won’t disappoint.

On its 1st year, the water pump went out. It cost $200.00 to replace it. On its 2nd year, the circuit board went out, and it took $300.00+ to replace it. On its 5th year, the bearings went out and cost $250.00 to replace it. I bought this for $900.00, and I already have paid $750.00 plus the price of purchase which makes this washer $1,600.00. Whirlpool should compensate all of us who have worked hard and have purchased this product! I will never purchase from Whirlpool again. I can’t afford them. I should get a refund from Whirlpool. I bought the washer Whirlpool duet on June 2009 (2 years and 2 months to date) and suddenly gave me an F70 code and died on me. It would cost me about $550.00 for parts and $129.00 for labor which is almost $700.00 in total. Its a communication error code where the CCU or the Motor Control Board was the culprit. I called the company for a concession consideration and they said they go by the warranty period. I should have read reviews for this company washers. Now, I have to find myself a better washer. I will never buy Whirlpool again. What a ripoff!

This is my third Whirlpool refrigerator. The first two lasted about 20 years each, and although not fancy, they were always serviceable. This one is different.Because of my kitchen cabinets, the only refrigerator with as much storage capacity (cu ft) as my old one was what seemed to be an almost identical Whirlpool, with the only exception being a slight difference in the ice maker. But this one is a disaster. The water/ice dispenser has been changed to one with one space only for your container. The water that comes out is warm, because the routing of the tube has been changed and it no longer goes through the chilled refrigerator space; the ice pours out so hard that usually half of it lands on the floor. In order to operate the dispenser using anything with less than a 4 diameter, you need two hands: One to depress the lever behind your glass and one to hold the glass farther away from the refrigerator. Failure to do that results in a wet mess. After dispensing crushed ice, it continues to send small pieces flying long after I change the switch to cubes. But that is the least inconvenience. In an apparent engineering change to meet energy efficiency, the new refrigerator recycles air from the freezer to the refrigerator compartment. That and other changes in the frost-free engineering have resulted in:Uneven cooling in the refrigerator. In fact, it froze $1800 worth of insulin pens. I was advised by the Whirlpool representative that I shouldnt have put them on the shelf where the vent from the freezer spews out freezing air. Spoiled food in the freezer. Everything in the freezer develops a thick coating of ice crystals within a short time. This dries out the meat, shrinks the popsicles, and destroys the quality of fish and fowl. At this moment, I have two pork chops that defrosted in a plastic container on my kitchen counter. I bought them fresh, and now the 10-12 oz. of pork is swimming in over 1/2 c. of water.Interior fittings are poorly made and shelves and drawers do not work easily. The allegedly stainless exterior is difficult to clean, and many reviewers have remarked that they find rust within a few months. I could go on. There is more poor engineering, and an array of noises filling the kitchen, but you get the picture. I wish I could trash this refrigerator and buy a good one, but that isnt feasible both because of budgetary and space constraints. The last service person who came out sighed and told me that the refrigerator was cold, and that meant that the unit was operating okay! I HATE this refrigerator and struggling with it from day to day. My hope is that no one will buy a Whirlpool ever again. I certainly wont.Updated on 12/05/2017: Whirlpool, faced with my wrath over a refrigerator set on LOW that froze $1800 worth of insulin, provided a replacement (25 Cu Ft side-by-side refrigerator). I have owned two previous Whirlpool refrigerators -- for 20 years each -- as well as other Whirlpool major appliances. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCE. The replacement is deficient in every design and functional aspect I can think of. Temperature is uneven in both freezer and refrigerator. Food in the freezer is coated with snow within a week and dried out and spoiled within a month. Ice comes out with such force that it ricochets out of the glass and around the floor. Water from the dispenser is warm. Leafy vegetables spoil within 2 days. Whirlpool sent technicians who informed me that the unit was working properly because it was cold. PIECE OF JUNK! DONT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY WHIRLPOOL!

I wrote down names, but I will not say them here. I found many recall sites on Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6200vwo for washer tub bearings. Which mine are bad. I called and logged my complaint but they say they have NO recall on any of their products and will send someone out but will charge me a service call unwarranted and parts if needed. I told them there are many websites that recall their tub bearings but they refused to fix the problem on recall. I dont have photos due to bearings are under the tub.

Whirlpool Duet Machines - I feel very fortunate as I have not had a single problem whatsoever with my Whirlpool washer and dryer and it is 5 years old. Never once have I needed a part or had trouble with it. I feel bad for those of you who are dealing with this as what is worse than a washer/dryer that does not work?

Whirlpool claims this technology works to clean the oven; however after one month of use and one casserole spill, we attempted 3x to use this system and the cleaning process was a total failure. The gravy spill on the bottom and mild oil residue on the sides from roasted vegetables was the same as before the cleaning cycle was tried. The cleaning kit accessory from the company was a joke. It consisted of 2 sponges and a small scraper! We purchased the slide in model WEE745HOFS. Buyers of any and all Whirlpool products with Aqualift BEWARE... It does not work. We have since replaced the product with a range with the traditional cleaning process system that has worked for decades in most major brands.

We have owned our refrigerator approximately 7 years. We have replaced this fan 3 times and now it went out again. The store we purchased it is now out of business. I am so flustered I do not know if we should replace it again or buy a new refrigerator, I can guarantee we will not be buying another Whirlpool. Their part runs about $50 but how do we know that is not going to go out again?

I purchased this Whirlpool dishwasher from Sears on 3/25/2010. Then on 8/11/2012 the dishwasher completely failed to operate. I called for service and they checked it out and they found out that the control board had failed due to moisture getting into the electronic components. They replaced the control board & control panel and the dishwasher has worked until today (2/08/2014) - 17 months, and now exhibits the same problem. The original repair costs including labor was over $400. Not really acceptable and demonstrates very poor quality control and design @ Whirlpool. As of now, I am considering whether to purchase a new machine (obviously neither a Whirlpool or Sears product). As part of the original service the soap dispenser also failed and had to be replaced. I believe Whirlpool should be responsible for some of the repair costs.

We purchased a WHIRLPOOL appliance 1.5 yrs ago. Approximately 7 months after purchase, the refrigerator began making a high pitch whining noise. We contacted WHIRLPOOL who sent out a mechanic who really appeared to not know much about the product. He made some sort of bogus repair and call himself fixing the problem. Well, a few months later, same problem... same noise. Now we are asking WHIRLPOOL to help and theyve done NOTHING. Now we are fighting between LOWES and WHIRLPOOL to fix our problem. We spent $2,000 on this appliance and I feel like we purchased a LEMON refrigerator. Did I mention the ICE MAKER seems to be the keen problem. I will NEVER purchase another WHIRLPOOL appliance. Im SO done!!!

Whirlpool customer service is non-existent. I have a Whirlpool microwave that burned up after two months of use, and they sent over a technician twice, in the past three weeks and it is still not working. Now, I am being told that it will take another two weeks before the correct part is found, and the technician is sent here again to fix the problem.I have no microwave now, for what is going to be about 5 weeks, and that is only if they get it right this time. Whirlpool wouldnt approve for me to have it traded a trade for a new one at HH Gregg where I purchased it in Aug of 2011. HH Gregg only has a 30-day return policy, and it went bad after 60 days.

I am very happy with my Whirlpool appliance- oven. Ive had it for almost 5 years, with hardly any issues. -Its very user-friendly when I need to program any cooking instructions. Both the elements & the actual oven cook everything to a perfect.

We were a Whirlpool family, and have been using a Whirlpool front loader – Duet Steam Model # WFW9500TW - for the past nine years without any issues until recently when it started to vibrate. Technician sent by Whirlpool blamed it on failing bearing and that it was cheaper to replace than to repair (In hindsight, I wish we had tried repairing). Naturally, we decided to replace with a new front loader from Whirlpool - Model # WFW6620HW. Our previous version had a max spin speed of 1000 RPM and a capacity of 3.5 cu. ft. This new one has a top spin speed of 1160 RPM and a capacity of 4.5 cu. ft. The main problem with our old one was vibration, and this was being caused by the washer going into high spin while the clothes were not evenly distributed throughout the drum. In one spin, the clothes would spin perfectly without any vibration, but in another spin of the same cycle, the washer would not allocate that same clothes properly throughout the drum, which leads the drum to cause vibration from unbalanced high spin. Vibration is a problem, because like most Americans, we live in a wood frame house, and have a basement underneath with the washer located on the main floor. Vibration from unbalanced high RPM spin gets sent down to other areas of the house, causing damage, drywall cracks, separation in trims, etc. And these are all only the damages one can see with their eyes.One point about vibration and some myth busting. Provided that all your washer legs are meeting the floor and not on a saggy floor, your washer should not vibrate more than it does during an empty spin. If it does, then it is due to faulty, poor design/engineering. What happens is when the steel drum becomes unbalanced with laundry in high spin, it starts to shake as more of the weight is on one side, which one can notice looking inside the washer window. There are concrete weights fastened to the top and bottom of drum to keep the drum in place and to reduce its shaking tendencies. However, this weight also causes the washer cabinet to wobble if the drum itself is shaking. This wobble in turn causes the washer legs, which may be firmly grasping the floor, to very slightly come off the floor, which one can feel if touching both the washer feet and floor with their finger at the high spin of an unbalanced spin. And that motion of legs coming off the floor and hitting back at high RPM is what causes vibration to be felt on the floor and to be seen on the cabinet. Of course, this effect is amplified with washers that decide to go into an unbalanced spin with an even higher max spin. When our old washer perfectly balanced the clothes, it behaved like it was running high spin while the drum was empty. This is how all washers should behave, especially in America where the vast majority of homes are wood frame based. However, that was not what we experienced with this new Whirlpool. If a washer is not capable of balancing out the clothes, extra function or feature should be deployed in containing the drum shake to within the drum, and not allow it to escape.First, our old front load Duet Steam Whirlpool was Made in Germany. This new one is ‘assembled’ in America. The door window of the new one is plastic and feels cheap and flimsy, but I expect all the darker color door windows of newer front loaders to be plastic. Consider it cost cutting. We did not look for additional anti-vibration technology because our old Duet didn’t have anti-vibration features aside from its two springs and four suspensions. We decided not to use Load & Go because I have personally seen liquid HE detergents gum up over time, so I didn’t want to risk it gumming up inside the washer.After the installers left, I spend an hour cleaning the outside of the washer to perfection. Sadly, time wasted. Once I was done, I first did a wash without clothes, and then with clothes in Normal, fast spin cycle with drum about 2/3rds full. Just pants and t-shirts. There is a recirculating pump at the top of the drum to distribute the water, and to also distribute soap mixed water. But I am not sure if this is without problems. These pumps can collect soap residue with time, and you will eventually end up rinsing the laundry with soap mixed water even in rinse cycle.In getting to the first spin in wash cycle, I was flabbergasted to see how, just how rudimentary, I want to reiterate the word rudimentary, the load detection was before entering high spin. Our nine-year-old washer had a more comprehensive one. The new washer would spin the clothes at very, very low spin and simply see if the drum is most evenly spinning. That’s all. Compared it to our old washer which would also shake the drum to see if there was movement from side to side, because clothes can change their position when entering high spin. This rudimentary load detection causes the new washer to create an even worse uneven load distribution around the drum before spin, even though it may seem even at very low RPM. So, why is the new washer’s load detection so basic? I believe it is due to ball bearings.Front load washer models from other companies employ ball bearings to reduce vibrations from uneven loads. Whirlpool does not employ such feature, at least, they do not advertise them. However, to my surprise, I hear metal balls hitting each other every time the drum direction changes during the wash cycle. I inquired Whirlpool about this and I received contradictory responses. My theory is that the basic load detection before spin speed is used because Whirlpool assumes any changes to load distribution will be taken care of or reduced by the ball bearings of the washer. But this ultimately allows the washer to go into more uneven spins. The bearings may also be used to increase the tolerance of what is considered an ‘unbalanced load’ in order to get the washer to go into spin cycle faster, decreasing the time involved of the washer to go into spin cycle. Sadly, to my dismay, the new washer ended up causing a worse vibration than our old one with failing bearing.I called up the retailer the same day of delivery and complained of vibration. He first sent an installer to see if it was installed properly, and upon showing the installer of the vibration issues, the retailer sent me a new washer couple of days later thinking the first one was a lemon, and even though it has less noisy draining noise, it too exhibited the same issues with it going into significantly uneven spin. In the end, we decided to return the Whirlpool washer all together, at a loss of $200 because the retailer did not hold up to their spoken return policy.We have done many loads in this washer to see if our loading is an issue, loads of varying sizes, loads of varying types, loads of weights, and we maybe only had an evenly distributed load around the drum about once or twice. Once it was a King comforter. But, like our old washer, this too ended up not distributing properly around the drum in the final spin cycle and started vibrating, even though it was vibration-free in the previous high spin cycle. This proves that the problem exists directly within the washer, not the floor, leveling, load, etc.Some other problems with the washer: - The washer door, Load & Go dispenser at bottom, and single load dispenser at top are all plastic parts which all vibrate significantly during fast spin cycle. Especially the Load & Go dispenser which keeps hitting the cabinet to make banging noise. - Drain sounds are much, much louder than our previous Duet. It was even louder in the first one we received. Combine this to uneven spins and this washer can perhaps compete with an engine in terms of the sound it generates. - Single use dispenser at top left will hit the washer door if washer door is opened when the dispenser is also in open position. - Buttons are sometimes unresponsive, to which I have to power off and try again. But this has only happened a couple of times.- There is a small ¼ in. opening where the steel drum meets the rubber gasket, opening in which items like coins, etc., may fall through and are irretrievable. Don’t think small socks would be affected.To potential buyers, I suggest you proceed with caution when it comes to this washer. Understand the retailer’s appliance return policy and make sure it is shown in paper. It can save you a lot of headache. Get the extended warranty of three years because manufacturers only give you one-year warranty for a reason. I would also suggest that you avoid this washer at all costs if you have any floor level below where this washer is to be installed, especially if the level below is a basement. Your house is more important and more valuable than a $1000 washer.In the end, I am very disappointed in Whirlpool, an American company. Perhaps Whirlpool focuses their attention on top loaders, not front loaders. But Whirlpool had nine years to improve their washers, and it is sad that we may now have to go outside of America for a quality product to be used in American homes. P.S. I purchased the machine December of 2010 from Lowes along with the matching dryer. I also purchased an extended warranty. A year ago July the lid on the washer broke at the hinges. I contacted the warranty provider and was told that the repair would not be covered under warranty and the damage was operator error. I purchased a new lid for approx. $250. One year later the replacement lid broke in the same location. I have tried to get a response from Whirlpool no response. I contacted Parts Select and inquired about changes that should have been made to correct the lids. He was not aware of any changes but did advise that the part had a new number which he indicated probably meant a design change. I ordered a new lid just under $250. New machines have a metal frame around the glass instead of the plastic frame which keeps failing. The springs that hold the lid in the upright position are so stiff I can hardly move them by hand. I am very disappointed in Whirlpool quality and consumer support. I will not purchase any more Whirlpool products.

3-4 years ago, I had replaced my hot water heater with a Whirlpool, which was purchased at Lowes. On 10/23/11, I awoke to a flooded basement from the said water heater. When I entered the basement, I was able to verify that the water was spraying right from the casing of the unit. Who knows how long it had been spraying, but the place was a complete mess. The water was about 10 inches deep and many things were ruined. I proceeded back to Lowes and purchased another exact unit. This morning I awoke to the sound of what seemed to be water bubbling, only to enter the basement and see exactly what I saw just three weeks previously... another flooded basement from water just pouring out the side of the unit. This is an obvious defect in craftsmanship. Now I find myself with a flooded basement, no hot water, and a decision to make. Do I fight for another replacement or give up on the brand? A replacement water heater will solve my lack of hot water but for now, the question is for how long? Not to mention the cost and time spent with the clean up I did twice.

Purchased a brand new Whirlpool hot water heater, but it has never worked properly. The 1-800 help line has been no help at all. Every call results in another step we have to complete before they can fix the problem. Bottom line - never, ever, ever buy a Whirlpool product. They dont know the meaning of customer service.

Every appliance Ive ever owned has been a Whirlpool product. I am on my second set of Cabrio washers and dryers. I havent had any issues with the dryers, but the washers are a different story. My first washer, bought in 2008, started throwing water and oil underneath while spinning. A service technician came out... I had to have the entire tub replaced seeing as how the bearings that went bad were in the motor/spinning assembly that was built into the tub. I moved in 2011 and needed another washer and dryer. I was told the problem had been addressed. Now Im having the same problem... the washer is so loud when spinning, you can hear it on the opposite end of the house with doors closed! So the bearing problem has NOT BEEN ADDRESSED!!! Whirlpool will not stand by this product!! Loyalty is not a factor in their assistance... Only profit!!!

Read reviews on the same washer (Cabrio Whirlpool) that I had purchased in January 2017. I have the same problem everyone else has with it, not cleaning the clothes. It was such a disappointment. Had a Whirlpool front in loader for 15 years. Loved it! But the washing machines without the agitator on it is a laugh. What person thought up that design. What a joke on the poor unknowing people that purchased one. Im also upset at G&H Appliances for not standing by their products they sell. Found out that Lowes has a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on what they sell. Not buying from Lowes and buying a washer without on agitator on it. Was two big mistakes I made. I wanted to help out a small local business, but wont be doing that again. They sure are not worried about me.

We just purchased this Whirlpool Washer. It is so awesome. Has all the many features I was looking for & we purchased it on sale. But really since using my washer I would buy it again even if it wasnt on sale. I love it. I have never been disappointed with Whirlpool. Everything I own in appliances is Whirlpool.

I too expected a whole lot more for the price I paid for Whirlpool WTW5000DW1 HE washer top load. Fuzz, grass, pet hair and food remain after washing. Had a repairman out to look at it. There is nothing wrong with it. He says they do not use much water to save money. Well, if I a have to wash everything at least twice am I saving money? Think. Will look into an old fashioned washboard next time. Frankly I think it is a scam. The HE Tide is more concentrated and my clothes do not come clean! Tried to get my money back from the company that sold it to me and I was told only if I were to buy the $900 Speed Queen. Someone’s making a lot of money from consumers who need washing machines.

I had water heater EE3Z50RD0550V installed on 11/3/11 and it started leaking July 29, 2013. Whirlpool gave me Return authorization # and said I have to return the water heater to Lowes (purchase place and original installer) to get a new one. Fortunately, Lowes said I only have to bring them the RA # and they will swap out the water heater. However, there is a $300 charge for installation. Whirlpool says they only cover this the 1st year, except when its a manufacturer defect. But they cant tell me how to prove its a manufacturer defect. Why else would a glass lined water heater start leaking only 21 months after installation?

Best microwave for your money. It is very quiet and easy to use. This microwave is very sharp looking and comes with all the bells and whistles that you need. I like the potato setting. You put your potatoes in and it will ask you some stuff and you press the button.

Does not get clothes clean. Period!! Takes just over 1hr. Noisy, lasted 3 1/2 years, transmission broke, take the warranty with a washer/dryer. Whirlpool was the top of the line, front loaders give less trouble, agitators clean better, go for the cheaper versions, our loaner Whirlpool, WTW4850H or WTW4950H washes quicker and cleaner than the Cabrio Energy Star.

Whirlpool Slide-In AquaClean Technology - My beautiful, modern oven is no longer. After 4 tries doing self-cleaning my oven was still dirty. I did have to wipe out the water (although I measured it) before I could take the scraper/sponge provided by Whirlpool to assist in the cleaning. Scraper bent - sponge disintegrated and I still have a dirty oven. Called service. My pleasant service tech informed me the water is only to reach 250 degrees! Really! My dinosaur of a Whirlpool cleaned fabulously! New technology has turned mine into an on your knees, scraping and broiling fool. Fool because I bought into the whole Aqualift Technology. We cannot use any kind of liner, etc. This slide-in may look great but the labor required to keep it that way is beyond this OCD person! So much for my efficient new kitchen. May the engineers who designed this technology be ashamed of this product. It is not even a self-steam cleaner!

The Whirlpool range #GY398LXPQ00 is four years old. This is the fourth major problem. Oven overheats and will not function. I set it at 350 and the bottom coil and broiler both came on and overheat quickly. This is the third time with same problem. I am going to have enough invested in repairs to buy another range. I shall never purchase another item made by Whirlpool or any of its affiliates. That leaves me with Samsung or Bosch, I think. The people are very curt and offered no help at all so calling them is extremely useless. This range is definitely a lemon. Too bad, there arent avenues to make them replace it. I am angry, disappointed, and disgusted. Are you listening, Whirlpool? Never again. May your company go down the drain.

We purchased a mobile home in 2008 that had all Whirlpool appliances. The microwave quit working 2 times before the warranty was expired. They paid to have it fixed. After the warranty expired it quit working again when it was about 3 years old. I called the repairman and he said it might be the most expensive part in it, so it would probably be cheaper to buy another one. I had to buy the same model because it was a built in microwave and I couldnt find another one to fit. It quit working about 2 months before it was 2 years old. I called the company and they were polite but said they couldnt do anything since it was out of warranty. I have been through two of these same models in 5 years. It ought to be against the law to sell such junk.

My husband and I bought a brand new front load washer and dryer set in 2011. We have had nothing but issues since the day they were delivered. First off the dryer, needed to be repaired after one load of laundry just went through. We were told that the thermostat went bad... needless to say we have replaced that one thing 4 times since we purchased them. Secondly the washer, this makes me so mad. I have 3 children, 2 of them have allergies and Asthma. I clean my washer regularly with vinegar and a special front loader liquid. I have mold in the areas where I put the liquids in. I have to take them apart every week to make sure they are clean. I leave the drawer open to air dry when Im finished with laundry for the day. I leave the door open and I still get mold everywhere. I do laundry on a daily basis, this should not be happening. Im so disappointed with this brand and I will never buy them again!

I had ancient appliances (refrigerator, microwave, range, and dishwasher) that were all mismatched and were in the house when I purchased it in the mid 1990s. I saved up my money and even though my old appliances were working fine, I wanted stainless steel and everything to match so I decided to go ahead and replace my refrigerator, microwave, range, and dishwasher. I decided on Whirlpool since the company has been making appliances for many years and I thought they made a good product. I bought those appliances in 2012.In 2015, the microwave started to malfunction. At first, it would light up and act as though it was working, but it wasnt. I had it repaired - they said it was a fuse - and the fuse repair cost me about $75.00. It worked for about 2-weeks. I called the repair guy back and they didnt charge me, thinking it was something they did wrong when they fixed it. This time it worked for about a week when it went out again. Not wanting to miss any more work waiting on a repair guy, I went to Lowes and bought a pack of the appropriate microwave fuses and replaced the fuse myself. This time it worked about three weeks - I noticed it was popcorn that seemed to kill the microwave. I finally gave up repairing it when I used up all the fuses in the pack from Lowes. I bought a GE Microwave and it has been a dream. It does a better job all around and looks a lot better than the Whirlpool. I no longer have matching appliances but at least they work!But thats not all. Now the Whirlpool refrigerator has been slowly dying. It has been groaning and creaking since I had it installed but it has gotten so loud that I have to sleep with white noise so that it doesnt wake me up. Yesterday, I took out a Drumstick ice cream cone from the freezer - they are the cones that have chocolate covered ice cream with nuts. I bit into the chocolate coating and the ice cream all spilled out like milk! Looks like Whirlpool struck again and I am not even going to bother to repair it. I just hope I dont get food poisoning until I can get it replaced. And...the dishwasher. Well, it wont dispense the Jet Dry liquid if I fill up the reservoir. I have to fill it only half way or it wont work. I had to use an eyedropper to get the tank down to half. It doesnt really get the dishes clean either. My 20+ year old one I got rid of was 100% better than this Whirlpool dishwasher.Luckily, I hardly ever use the range...and when I do, its a burner or two so I havent had any problem with it yet. I am thinking of replacing it anyway simply because I dont want - ever - anything that says Whirlpool in my home. I was so excited when I decided to buy new appliances. I was finally going to have something new and nice in my home...or so I thought. Instead I wasted my money and got aggravation instead of joy. I dont know about others but I will never buy Whirlpool appliances again- never ever. And now I feel like my money was stolen from me -- and my joy definitely was stolen.
