During the initial warranty the oven was not heating properly. Several service calls within the warranty issue was not resolved. Whirlpool extended the warranty another year as of this date and several service calls problem not resolved. When a tech comes out there is a diagnostic check that checks the temp for 10 min. Since the temp drops after 10 min they cannot detect problem. I asked for the tech to remain for the complete cooking period which they cannot do. I have wasted many meals and still have a oven that does not work.

It is in the mid-range of cost and functions. For a mid-range dishwasher, it has many options, sometimes too many. It does not have rinse and hold. I think its cycles run too long; not always energy efficient (i.e. the simplest one uses the most energy).

I love my dishwasher, have had no problems and it does a great job. Stainless steel interior is a plus. Give it a try, you will be satisfied with the performance.

Agreeing with many. How disturbing to buy a Cabrio Whirlpool washing machine about 5 years ago. I might as well go down to the river and wash my clothes. The bearings went out which means I have to be the spin cycle. I am hanging out my clothes on the line - very wet - until my husband buys the part and fixes it himself. I had my maytag for 25 years. An awesome, dependable machine that we laid to rest because of rust. We should have gotten another drum instead of buying this machine. Where are the engineers that are making dependable appliances to last a LONG time? We have not gotten smarter. Or we only care about the all mighty dollar. Make something to last a short time so that you have to buy again. We will do some extensive research the next time we buy a washing machine. Do not buy this machine!

Whirlpool washing machine model WCW4950XW2 - We have a barely two year washing machine that we purchased at Best Buy and it no longer drains or spins. After $100 repair call we were told that this is a common problem with this model. It is a transmission problem, and with the way the machine is built a repair person cannot get into the transmission to fix it. He suggested we buy a new washing machine. This is a travesty on so many levels! If whirlpool know it has a problem it should offer a partial refund for the purchase of a newer better machine. I keep thinking about what our landfill in this world look like with the proliferation of appliances that are engineered to last a year or two. I can guarantee you I will never purchase any Whirlpool produce again, and I will research whether other brands are associated with the whirlpool brand before I buy it. Sad that a once good company has gone to hell.

The knobs on the Whirlpool gas stove model Super Capacity 465 AccuBake system are easily confusing and dangerous. If the knob is turned in the wrong direction when intending to turn the burner off, it turns to a very low setting which is although nice for simmering, it is very easy for it to be mistaken as the off position and leaves only the gas leaking if the smell is not noticed in time.

I am a Licensed Plumber in Oklahoma, have been for 25 years. Our company will no longer work on Whirlpool water heaters, heres why. I diagnosed a water heater that the pilot would not stay lit, the thermocouple was bad. Whirlpool Tech Support told me to go to Lowes and buy the parts and send them the receipt and they would reimburse me. The customer was furious that I charged them for the part and I told them when I got reimbursed, I would send them the money. Well, I not only never got any money from Whirlpool but I never got paid from the homeowner who was mad at me and I didn’t even sell it to them. Beware, buy Rheem.

Called Whirlpool about fridge and they stated Too bad its out of warranty. The sides are getting pitted. It is a stainless with black sides. The condo is always air conditioned. It is two years old. Not very long to have a $1200 fridge look terrible. However, the fridge works fine.

Very similar experience with warranty issues as everyone else. I purchased a brand new $2k side by side stainless steel model in Dec of 2013. It began not cooling in August of 2014 and they have since had 8 repairs and still will not exchange the fridge/replace the fridge. We finally had to buy another fridge and put it in our garage in order to have food in our home (of 5 kids and 2 adults). Ridiculous customer service every phone call. Possibly the least educated, rudest individuals always. Never buy from Whirlpool - worst reputation ever.

I Wish I had reviewed this refrigerator sooner. I bought a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator with ice and water dispenser in the door in 2016. Problem #1: Water leaks from the water dispenser and dribbles down the front of the door. I am as vigilant as I can be about wiping up the spills, but over time it has left a water stain. Stainless steel is not stainless! Problem #2: The freezer is too narrow. Too many frozen items that come packaged in boxes have to be wedged into it or stood on end. Problem #3: Ice cubes sometimes randomly drop out of the dispenser and melt on my hardwood floor. Problem #4: Even though the water is filtered, mineral deposits have built upon the well that collects the drips and I have yet to find any product that cleans it. It looks horrible and filthy. If Id had any idea how awful this appliance would look after just a couple of years, I would have been in contact with Whirlpool immediately.

I had a Whirlpool washer that was 31 years old so when the motor went out I bought a Whilpool Cabrio. I HATE it!!! First, it takes at least an hour for 1 small load to finish. Then the clothes are not even clean and rinsed all the way. Dry patches on clothes and where the soap did reach the clothes there is white soap scum all over. I tried using the extra rinse function and still soap everywhere. Im hardly using any soap to begin with. I have to wash some things twice to get the soap off. Thought I was doing good by buying HE. What a waste of money. I cant wait til it breaks which should be soon according to all the previous comments. I have only had it 4 weeks. Dont buy this machine!

It has needed a new motor, new tub assembly, and about six other repairs. Now the heavy duty tub just thumps around and I get an uneven load message, even when running empty. It is the worst single machine I have ever purchased, with the possible exception of the Whirlpool matching dryer, which lasted about three years.

I purchased a top load Whirlpool washer from Lowes 2-8-12. It got so it wouldnt rinse. When it came to that cycle, it just skipped it and went directly to spin. I dont know how long it was doing this before I caught it. A repairman came out said I would need the equivalent of a motherboard that would cost $330.00. Needless to say, couldnt afford that amount for repair. So I purchased a very nice used Amana for $100.00. I always thought Whirlpool was a top of the line product. This has changed my mind. If it wont last any longer than 5 years I dont want it. There are just the two of us and we are retired so the machine was not overused. I am so disappointed and angry about this.

The dishwasher chopper blade broke, and the check valve is gone. My over-the-stove microwave handle came off in my hand, and the top cover for the fan fell off in a pan of hot grease and almost burned me. What the hell is wrong with this picture? I paid a lot of money for inferior products, and I cant find replacement parts anywhere. And they are expensive when you can find them.I have tried to get this resolved before I talked to a rep, and your computers were down. Whirlpool Cabrio HE washing machine - I was very excited when buying this product. It never really washed clothes thoroughly. I kept getting strange stains on them and even after emptying it as soon as it finally was able to finish a load without saying UL constantly... the clothes would stink. Im sick I ever bought it! Plus, it rusts terrible.

I see that I am not the only one with the same pilot problem. I just purchased this new model that came out last summer. I bought my new water heater in September and just this past weekend, it messed up. I have not had it for 8 months. Whirlpool sent out a technician yesterday and he said the assembly is not good and the pilot would not light. Well they sent me a replacement part and they are coming out today to install it. The funny thing was that the technician said, Oh, these are hard to work with. We have a lot of problems with these models and they just came out last summer. Its the on that has the little box and you push the pilot button in and hold it until the red light comes on. Anyway, he said he didnt carry parts for that one, only the old ones which last longer. The ones that have the black round circle that looks like a thermostat. I said, Really? Well the reason I bought this water heater is because my last one that I bought 2 years ago kept having the same issue. Whirlpool sent me the assembly with the pilot and all 3 times and would never replace it. I got tired of it always messing up so after having it for 2 years, we just dumped it and went and bought this new model. Here we are 8 months since we bought it and the same thing is happening. I am so furious. I am pissed off that they dont recall these if they are defective. Why do they keep selling them if people have problems? My cousin called me a couple of months ago and asked if my husband could check her water heater and its the same type I had and it was doing the same thing. I will never buy another Whirlpool water heater again.

My three month old Whirlpool electric range caught on fire last night. The wiring that connects to the electrical cord to the stove shorted and melted. Thank God we were up and smelled it and quickly pulled the stove out and unplugged it. Had the fire dept out this morning and they verified that it was the stove and not house wiring. Now, I am without a stove, out of my money and waiting on the mercy of Whirlpool to take care of this situation. I do not want this stove in my house so I wont accept repair. Not sure I want another Whirlpool either. If this had happened during our sleep time, the whole house could have burned down. So upset and inconvenienced.

In 2014, we redesigned our kitchen for two side kick gorgeous looking white fridge and freezer (Fridge was $1099 & Freezer was $1099, plus extended warranty $436.19 CDN.) Within 2 years the evaporator blew. $1000 dollar repair that Whirlpool covered, yay!. BUT 3.5 years later the compressor blew...another $1000. Whirlpools response...Sorry Sears went under and the fridge is 5.5 years old. Whirlpool discontinued the model so no new fridge for us unless we re-do a whole bank of cabinets. We purchased it from Best Buy. It was a good thing we got the extended warranty. They completely rebuilt it two times. In the 6 years we have had the washer. The motherboard went out. The bearings went out. The only thing nice I can say is that it’s a top loader and doesn’t get smelly like the front loaders do.

Front Load Washing Machine, Model WFW97HEDBD0 - This is the worst appliance we ever owned. Purchased in 2015, multiple problems since! 1. Soap dispenser did not dispense and leaked down the front of washer... 4 service calls, control panel finally replaced, clothes not clean, leaking continued. Had to place soap into washer drum. 2. Pedestal drawer made grating noise, track off, drawer replaced, opened better but still made irritating noise. 3. Grease oozing from side of washer both sides. Decided to look in back of washer and OMG! A copious amount of grease is also beneath & behind the washer & dryer. I had to scrape with a metal spatula device to pick up and it took over 1.5 hours to remove & clean. We are lucky a FIRE did not start when using either machine. This machine was a LEMON from the beginning. In fact when we were having it serviced, I stated I wanted it replaced but was informed 2 visits were counted as 1 and did not qualify for further investigation. We cannot rid ourselves of this machine fast enough after the last issue. New washer coming tomorrow, not a WHIRLPOOL! New machine is LG WITH 10 year warranty on motor.

Cabrio Whirlpool Washer - Bought this washer from HHGregg in Orange Park, Florida. This washing machine is horrible!! It does not fill the tub with water enough to even cover the clothes. Some of the clothes are not even wet. They just sit in dirty water, no agitation. Then it refills with water and the rinse water is dirty, there is no agitation or movement during the wash cycle. My clothes are stained and dried food and dirt are still on the clothes. My white clothes are now gray. This is the worst machine. I have tried everything. I am now hand washing the clothes and trying to add water to at least cover the clothes but the sensor just drains the extra water out. This machine is less than a year old. There should be a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool. I am not the only one; everyone that has this machine says it is a nightmare.

I agree with the comments already made. My crisper drawer plastic rectangular piece just literally decomposed! It shredded into little pieces and cracked and broke, dropping one side of the draw set. I called about it - nope, not under warranty - replacement cost? Merely $150 so my drawers could be in the refrigerator. Also, because of the stress of the angle the drawer holder was when it broke, it cracked the drawer at the back - and the drawer had one grapefruit in it at the time. (Not considering replacing - cant imagine what that would cost when the little brace piece approx 14 was so expensive.) The flap - yeah, it split. I am a single person, no kids EVER in my refrigerator and I travel so much that I am barely home 20% of my days. The refrigerator gets very little activity opening and closing the doors yet the flap sliced. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN??? With any break in the seal as they called it, the refrigerator starts collecting moisture inside (and I live in the desert so we have very little moisture in our air) and drips or starts causing frost build up on the icemaker. Yesterday, once again, the icemaker stopped working. When I asked about replacing the flap I was told the entire seal needed to be replaced @ the cost of $232 PER DOOR!! Right now with just the plastic rectangular piece and the bar between the two drawers (BTW the rollers on the frame are not included with the frame purchase they announced) I have $614 in repair parts WITHOUT fixing the icemaker! Last night water was running in my refrigerator from the icemaker. I WILL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND WHIRLPOOL TO ANYONE EVER AGAIN. I have been a Whirlpool ONLY customer for over 45 years!!!! They told me that I had to schedule an appointment with a service person at a minimum of $100 cost to me - JUST TO FILE A COMPLAINT with Whirlpool! They only take complaints from service people submissions. I advised the Whirlpool representative to start looking for another job because if this was the way they treated lifelong customers, her job may be eliminated due to No Customers! I have had 6 months of absolute HELL working with Whirlpool. I mistakenly purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator from Home Depot and the moment I did Home Depot were hands off. Sadly my brand new refrigerator didnt work from the moment it arrived. The ice machine was dripping inside from the back making all the ice freeze together and created an ice sheet below the ice box that can be taken out. There also was water dripping out of the ice output. The water output wasnt working and the water was literally trickling out when you pushed for water.SO Whirlpool took 6 weeks to send their 1st technician from L.A.R Services out of Boston and the guy turned up and said it was due to needing a new ice tray/machine and our sink having an old filter. There was NO filter on the sink! And he then ordered an ice machine that arrived at their office in 4 weeks but they took 3 weeks to try to deliver it. When they finally came out they called to say they had to turn around because the road was blocked- there are 3 ways to get to our home....so I had to chase for 2 more weeks to get them to come back out. When they arrived they handed me the ice tray outside and drove off!!!SO WE TRIED AGAIN and this time had Home Depot call Whirlpool to get a service person in to fix it. We had to wait another 5 weeks and when he finally came he claimed our issue was due to the fridge not being perfectly level. Well, guess what, its now level and the ice is still freezing into giant blocks, some weird plastic strap is hanging inside the ice box and the water is still trickling out.Ive called the service guy 3 times and he is yet to call back and right now Im on hold with Whirlpool (its been 14 mins so far). NEVER AGAIN will I buy anything WHIRLPOOL and I will be sharing this experience in every consumer space possible so no one has to go through what we have. Our new fridge is still broken after 6 months!! All I want is my GE fridge again and I should have a followed the reviews.

Purchased Whirlpool Microwave 1.6. The design has 5 BIG flaws. 1. Too large in depth, cabinets on each side cant open. 2. The one light under unit is so far to the back wall, you need a flashlight to cook spaghetti or use stove. 3. Too large in height, cant get a big pan on your stove. 4. Top of unit is open so much, if you spilled something from the cabinet above it would go right inside the works. 5. Instructions are hard to read & figure out, the wall hanging support is just one piece and if you dont have 2 main beams youre out of luck. GO buy a GE, put it up in 1/2 time & good & secure and works great. Has 2 lights on each side under unit. Fingers over the holes at the top. 1 inch shorter, 1 inch thinner. To my surprise the turntable is even larger, go figure.

Whirlpool has always been known for quality products. But the range I haves burners are failing. It is eight years old. Think it should last longer than that. The oven works good, but the temperature varies as well. Lower oven door is designed bad, because grease gets trapped between the two glass doors and cant be cleaned.

Informed that because washer was 1 year out of warranty. It was 2 years old. Parts were not guaranteed. Cost to repair $400.00 including labor. Maytag Store came to my rescue and it only cost $200.00. 2 years later, washer is not filling with water correctly. Have mixed feelings about repairing or replacing. If replacing, how to select a reliable washer. How do you select, if when we purchased this washer it was rated very high. Whirlpool does not help with any issue. They were extremely rude. Felt helpless dealing with them. Need a new washer and have no idea which brand to go with.

This Whirlpool Gas oven with 5 burner top is very good and has given us 12 years of good service so far. The only issue is that the stovetop and oven are not easy to clean and keep clean. The finish is good and has no chips. I would expect the top to be easier to clean and keep clean with the finish technologies available. Same for the oven window glass - it is not easy to clean and keep clean.

This has been our second Whirlpool Hot Water Tank in our home in the past 14 years. The first was installed by the builder, when it went out we purchased a larger capacity one from Lowes. It was professionally installed and now, after the extended warranty coverage period is expired, its expired as well. I would think you should be able to get more than 7 years out of not one, but two Whirlpool hot water tanks. No wonder they are no longer manufacturing hot water tanks - they sucked at it. Also, if you do have one, you have to get parts from Whirlpool and pay $30 shipping. No thanks, for the cost of parts to replace everything youre better off getting a whole new unit.

The trim on the front the my Whirlpool electric range has rubbed off. This is where the knobs for the burners are located. It was replaced once during the Whirlpool 1 year warranty (so it obviously happened with the first year!) and again during the second year we have had it. We have an extended warranty but have been told that it is not covered. It is ecstatically unacceptable. We have not used any type of harsh cleansers on it - simply a sponge to remove any spills yet it keeps on disappearing. I strongly recommend against buying any range from Whirlpool as it is quite obvious that they do not stand behind their products beyond the first year.

Bought a water heater on May 5th for 539.00 and was unable to get hot water all the time. After many days and dealing with Lowes which did not help and Whirlpool, I discovered that the unit I bought had no dip tube to bring the cold water to the bottom to be heated and thus provide hot water to the hot water outlet on the heater to the rest of the house. People at Lowes had no dip tubes and really have no knowledge of what is going on as the people at Whirlpool whom I called.

My Whirlpool dishwasher washes dishes well, when it drain but it will not drain. I purchased insurance repair service from AIG. AIG is a total rip off. I paid them over $300. I have called many many times. They promise someone will call but not one ever has. I would never work with AIG or Whirlpool ever again.

We bought this microwave/hood combo at Home Depot and installed it in our second home roughly 16 months ago. We used it very little over that period because the home is only for vacations. The plastic handle began to disintegrate where it connects to the door (top and bottom) to the point where there is very little plastic remaining. We called the service center and the woman attending to us told us she had never heard of that happening before. Either she had just started working there that day, or she was lying because there are dozens of similar complaints on this very website.I do not understand what is to gain by denying a manufacturing defect. It simply makes no sense to me that a company would allow their reputation be so tarnished. What an ignorant and short-sighted business practice. I will never, ever buy another product from this company. I will also be sure to tell anyone who will listen what I think of the shabby service they gave us.

Purchased 2 years ago from Lowes with the matching dryer. This machine (Model #WTW8540BW0) has more problems than the Bosch front load that I replaced. All of my white clothing gets small rust colored lines on it. I am sure this is because the top of the bleach dispenser is lined with rust. I have never owned a washer that rusts (screws are also rusty). I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product.

DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL! I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator 5 years ago. In June I had to have a new thermostat put in because the refrigerator would not stay cold. The food in the freezer would defrost and then freeze, defrost and then freeze. I had to throw all of the food out. Two weeks ago the refrigerator was making a groaning noise so I looked in the freezer and the temperature was up to 30 degrees. The ice cream was soft, the bread and buns that I had in the freezer were defrosting and small things like crab cakes had also started to defrost. Eventually the temperature went back down to zero.So I called out the repairman AGAIN! He told me this is normal that the freezer goes up to 30 degrees to defrost the freezer and the groaning noise I heard had to do with the Freon. It cannot be normal for food to freeze, defrost and freeze again. I called their customer service and their representative, Jasmine, basically told me all she could do for me was to schedule a service call. Really? I just had the repairman out the day before. I am concerned about food safety with a refrigerator that fails to keep food at the proper temperature.

We thought we were going to love it. It has two bottom freezers so the capacity is fabulous, but the ice maker location subtracts shelf space. Love the French doors, but we can never find anything quickly. The biggest issue is the popping noises it makes that are sleep stealing in the night.

I paid a lot of money for this because I thought it would be high quality and last for quite a while without problems. First of all, you HAVE to open the right door before the left door and then remember to ALWAYS close the left door first and then the right door. If you dont the doors dont close well and your refrigerator gets hot AND THERE IS NO BUZZER OR ALARM TO TELL YOU THE DOORS ARENT CLOSED. After 2 years the freezer repeatedly freezes up and then the refrigerator heats up. My repairman says the controls on this refrigerator are WAY odd and instead of just buying an inexpensive part (defrost timer for example for $50) he need to order the entire control for probably 3 time more. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR TROUBLE. BUY ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHIRLPOOL GOLD.

Bought the top of the line Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer. Washing machine lasted 3 years. Took forever to do a load and would not be clean after taking an hour to wash. The dryer is still going, but would not surprise me if it died any day. Do not buy.

Love the bottom freezer & french doors. Unit uses way less energy than older fridge. Did need a new evaporator but it was covered by a recall. Happy so far. Love having icemaker in the door so it doesnt take up freezer space.

I have a Whirlpool double oven. When I attempted to use the self-clean feature according to manufacture instruction, the bottom oven stopped cleaning in the middle of the cycle. I had a repairman out and he replaced the thermal fuse in the back of the oven. It cost $85. I didnt attempt to clean it again for another few months since I dont use the bottom oven often. When I did attempt to use the self-clean feature according to manufacture instruction, the same thing happened. I called the repairman and he said that the thermal fuse would blow every time I tried to clean the oven, because of the way the oven was manufactured. I contacted Whirlpool and they were not at all helpful. I intend to contact them again.

I have 1 month old gas range, bought from Costco.. I was cooking chicken and it is just explode.. Called to Whirlpool company and they act like they don’t really care about it... I am shocked.. I search google and you can find other incidents with whirlpool explosion.. Just google it.. I am sooo upset with this company.. My kids were with me when it happened.. I bought a new Whirlpool French Door bottom-freezer refrigerator at Lowes in September 2010. I started seeing ice form in the bottom of the freezer compartment in July 2011. I cleaned it out, thought maybe the door had not sealed good. In a few weeks, it had formed again. I checked for leaks at ice maker. I noticed a condensate was also freezing on the back wall. I called Whirlpool in October 2011 to see what could be done, since the problem began before warranty had expired. (The warranty expired in September.) I was told by 3 different Whirlpool reps that they would not cover any of the costs of repair, but they suspected it was the auto defrost system and they would be glad to line up a repair person.Most of my appliances over the last twenty years have been Whirlpool, and I have had good service out of them other than a microwave that had a recall and that Whirlpool repaired. I was shocked that Whirlpool would not back up their product any better than this, especially since it is one of their higher-end models. Im not sure why Whirlpool has a customer service (or disservice) line to call. They were very uninterested in helping me. I can call my own repair person. I was insulted by the manner that the helpline personnel spoke to me. My experience has convinced me to try a different brand other than Whirlpool for all my future purchases.

I purchased a front loader Whirlpool Cabrio washer/dryer in June of 2011. I was sold an extended warranty which ends June 30 of this year. I have made 4 calls to the Co which warranties the washer because it is making squeaking noises on the spin cycle. I was refused service because the customer service rep didnt “hear” anything. I finally had a local service Co check out the machine and was told the motor needs to be replaced and if under warranty I should demand it be replaced. I called again and still cannot get NSI to come out and see the problem.

I purchased a front load washer and dryer brand new. The washer is under a 2-year warranty on all parts and labor. Since I have purchased them, the washer has had to be fixed on several occasions. I have had 10 parts replaced and had to be out a washer for a month at one given time. I have had the repair company email me all the parts and services that they have done. All I want is a new washer! I have argued with Georges Appliances on several occasions because I believe they sold me the obviously faulty washer and I dont believe that I should be responsible to have to figure it out for myself. They should be responsible to provide me a new one. They told me that I had to contact Whirlpool in order to receive a new washer. Please contact me asap.

I bought this machine in September of 2014. Six months later I HATE IT!! It does NOT get the clothes clean and dont even try to bleach white towels or socks, it doesnt pump the correct amount of hot water and things come out just as dirty as when they went in. It tangles everything together and frequently stops working because it unbalances the load with its lack of water. Ive always been proud of how my familys laundry looked and now Im just embarrassed. Im considering donating this to a human society for dog towels. Stay away from this washer, its horrible. Im going to the laundromat and shopping for a new machine ASAP!

I bought washing machine in March 2012. Since the date of purchase, the machine is not working properly. Even though it is under warranty period, I have to spend money on my own to repair it. Whirlpool customer care never responds. When I ask to give the number of higher authorities, customer care denies to do that.

This is a portable dishwasher with a butcher block top. Great to use as a rolling island countertop. The capacity is huge, fitting large pasta pots and dutch ovens with ease along with dish plates. Love the water miser setting and the no heat dry to protect delicate material like china dishware.

Ive bought a new home and I purchased a brand new Whirlpool black oven range. First, a piece of metallic on top of the oven broke. I couldnt believe it. And the biggest problem is that whatever I do to clean the top surface, it always leaves a stain. After a few months, the oven looked like 10 years old piece. I called whirlpool and talked to a customer service rep, he told me that I needed to clean the surface immediately after something spill on it. To make sure if I understood it right, I asked him You mean when I am cooking some rice and some water spill out, do I have to remove the pot and clean the surface and repeat that all along while I am cooking? BELIEVE OR NOT, THE ANSWER WAS yes. I cant believe the bad quality of this product and worst, its customer service defensive attitude. Dont buy this product.

Purchased a Whirlpool French Door Refrig. Model #WRF 954CIHZ200 in 11/21/2017 from Best Buy for $2300.00 on sale. Within the 1st year the Ice Maker broke & repairman said the ill design caused the wire to break. He had replaced numerous ones for the same reason. In the 2nd yr the freezer started frosting. Next thing the freezer quit. Next day refrig quit working. Called Whirlpool, said, So sorry. We will send you a $50.00 Visa gift card. That was to cover $200.00 of just bought groceries. Called repair guy & he diagnoses compressor was bad. (IN A LESS THAN 2 YR OLD REFRIG. THAT COST $2300.00????)Now, we are 28 day w/o refrig. Living with a Igloo cooler. Whirlpool says they have no stock left on compressors for our refrig. (probably because there are so many going bad in their refrigerators). They are trying to locate one somewhere in US so that takes 6 days then they have to ship to repair center then they have to schedule us for repair which will probably be another 7 days. Ghee, what a mess! Dont do it folks! Buy a LG or Samsung! If I had it to do again, thats what I would do! Whirlpool is Not what they use to be when I trusted them. Years ago. P.S. I had my old agitating washer for 8 yrs that went out. I liked Whirlpool so decide to try their washer. Found the Cabrio washer (SWS5000WO) and thought without the agitator it would give me more room for clothes to wash better. Boy was I wrong, no matter what cycle or what size load it is off balance on the very first spin. I have to stay near by to stop the washer before the first spin adjust the load and start over again. Jeans and towels are impossible to clean. It throws the tub so bad it has pushed the side out. I have checked the balancing rods and they are fine. After reading other complaints realize the Cabrio washers are terrible. I will be looking for a refurbished washer with an agitator and doubt I will buy Whirlpool again. They should have a recall on these machines. They are terrible.

Our Duet Whirlpool washing machine is less than 3 years old. It would not always turn on when we would start it, or it would start and then it would give me an F70 error. If we pushed the start button again, it would continue to go through the wash cycle. There was nothing in the manual about that error. I called the service department and they could not tell me what an F70 error was either. The service department wanted to schedule a service call right away and offered me an extended warranty for $345.00, for one year. Since it was less than 3 years, and it didnt seem too serious (since the wash cycle would complete after pushing start again), I figured that it wouldnt be that much of a repair bill, so I declined. Also, I might add, that my previous 25 year old washer had only had one repair bill for a total of $200.00.When the service tech left, he handed me a repair bill for $741.00! I nearly fainted! He put in a new board. I immediately called the service department back and they said, Sorry, the extended warranty was a one-time offer and no assistance was offered when I asked. I could have bought a brand new washing machine for that price. Bottom line is, I would not buy a Whirlpool appliance again, and I would never contact Whirlpool for a problem. I would contact someone local. Had I known that a repair bill could have remotely cost over $300.00 on a new washing machine, I would have waited until it completely died and then bought a new one, and not a Whirlpool!

Never again will I purchase any Whirlpool product. I was seduced into purchasing a Whirlpool dehumidifier by the sale price at Canadian Tire. Big mistake! It worked as expected for four months before all the refrigerant leaked out - we found this out later. I contacted Whirlpool and was told I could take it to their authorized service depot (a 50 minute drive from here) for repairs. I did so and was charged $44.80 for them to troubleshoot the unit. Two weeks later they told me that the refrigerant had leaked out and it would cost $563 for repairs. For a $200 unit!! Get serious! I pointed out, according to my Canadian Tire receipt that the warranty was for 5 years on the compressor and sealed components. After further collaboration between the repair depot and Whirlpool, I was told that my warranty is not with Whirlpool but rather with the company that produced the unit for Whirlpool, namely Hisense and that the Whirlpool repair depot did not do warranty work for Hisense. I then had to fax the technician report to Hisense to get an authorization number for a replacement unit from Canadian Tire. Once armed with the authorization number, I had to visit my local Canadian Tire store and pick up the replacement. That unit worked well for about nine months before it failed. Considering service depot charges and all the driving involved, it cost me something like $100 for a warranty replacement (not including my time). No more fooling around with this junk. I just ordered a Kenmore dehumidifier. Hope that one is a better investment. I see now that Canadian Tire no longer sells these units. Maybe they figured it out. Judging from other Whirlpool reviews, it seems I am not alone in my views. My recommendation - stay away from Whirlpool!

I purchased a Gold Star Whirlpool Refrigerator from Sears which was installed on July 1, 2010. The freezer was icing up along seams, so sealant was used. However, now I noticed after 14 months that the interior refrigerators lining is fracturing throughout the sides and bottom of the refrigerator. Not at seams but all over fractures, spanning 10 to 3 to 2 on the bottom and side of the interior lining of the refrigerator.Sears answer is more sealant, and Whirlpool does not take any responsibility in designing a defective liner since it is pass the one year time frame. This causes your refrigerator to be on more often, because of the cracks. Unfortunately, the consumer loses out. Both representatives were nasty and when I asked for a supervisor from Whirlpool, an incident report was written, however I will not ever be able to get a copy of it. It will be considered an internal document. It is a great setup between Whirlpool and Sears having defective appliances made to last a year, and Sears to win with warranty agreements for the life of your appliance of $250, for one year coverage. When you buy the warranty and have a lemon, Sears doesnt replace it, My suggestion to consumers is to buy a tube of sealant.

I have had my Kitchenaid dishwasher since April 2010. I have the receipt as proof. I have recently had a professional out to replace a seal in the door, the gasket on the vent and the unit still leaks. The only places left are the metal body and door. I called to say I wanted the warranty honored. I was told one of their servicers had to verify. I agreed. Their servicer came out at the agreed time. He did not bother to protect my hardwood floors from his muddy shoes. He also absolutely wreaked of cigarette smoke. He proceeded to try and push me into paying for the same repairs I had done last week because he would not warranty the parts under warranty unless I paid him to replace parts a week old. I told him he was here to verify the leak not push me into more repair costs. At this point, he began slamming his tool box together and exclaimed Thanks for wasting my time. I called the Kitchenaid warranty number in my pamphlet to see about the warranty. They refused without making me pay for their esteemed professional to do the same work, a real professional already did. The best I was given was 30% off a new appliance. When they wont honor their 20 yr warranty on the one I have, telling me their unprofessional is so much better than the one I used who did protect my floors and treated me with respect, I have no faith left in this company or its servicers. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I plan to be very vocal with this companys refusal to stand behind their products and explicit support of disrespectful servicemen.

My mother has had this stove (Whirlpool Accubake) about 3 years. She does little cooking. On June 24, 2015, herself clean activated, probably for a few days, this is normally 850 degrees. She is 84, does nothing with this stove, certainly not knowing how to hit the clean button and HOLD the Start button for 3 seconds... this caused the stove to billow smoke out of the oven and encompass her entire home. No fire, but was caught in time. The fire department had to pry open the door as it would not unlock.

I bought a new home from DR Horton with Whirlpool appliances. All of the kitchen appliances were Whirlpool which came with a 1 year warranty. After closing on the house and getting in, started the dishwasher for the first time, it started leaking water instantly from the bottom of the unit and spilled all over the floor. Tried to contact the builder/inspector who asked us to contact Whirlpool. Called Whirlpool and I was kept on hold for over an hour before someone answered. The rep was so adamant talking all unrelated things and said that she cannot do anything for another 15 days. After escalating to the supervisor, it was the same response. The service at customer care is so bad with no fix in sight. I am not sure what they are going to do with the appliance and not sure whether they come and fix it or keep me waiting. Very unethical, the way they talk to the customers.

I bought the Cabrio Whirlpool washer and dryer thinking Whirlpool was the best! Wrong! Worst washer and dryer ever! Washer doesnt get clothes clean! Leaves white residue on dark clothes! Cant put over two blankets in large tub because it gets off balanced! It wont spin water out of delicate clothes done on quick cycle! Doesnt put enough water in to wash anything! Dryer wrinkles clothes so bad I have to iron! Paid $1,200 each! So noisy you cant stay in the house when you are washing! So disappointed I will never buy Whirlpool again!!!

I have a combo Microwave oven/oven GMC275PDS07. When the microwave is finished with the requested program, the end of program chime lets you know its done. Then, if the door is not opened for at least 3 seconds, the chime will ring again every minute thereafter ad nauseum. This will go on for hours without end. I know because I tried it. I reached out to Whirlpool via a web chat and my question was not even addressed. I was ignored. From reading other submissions, I assume this is de rigueur for Whirlpool. I then called Whirlpool and spoke to Katie in Tennessee. She was not able to bring up any make or model when I provided her the numbers exactly as listed on the inside of the door. She was not able to provide any respite from this annoying feature.This a Whirlpool Gold model, presumably the top of the line, in my book I will never purchase any Whirlpool product of any type and I will make it a point to let anyone who will listen that Whirlpool is not a manufacturer that takes its customers concerns seriously. Katie then advised that she looked up this feature and told me there is no way to turn the beeping off. I find this amusing since she could not find the model or serial number when I gave it to her.

Whirlpool Gold microwave quit heating after little use. We moved in house one year ago, microwave 6 years old. Spoke with Timena customer service rep. She took my model, serial info and clearly explained this model had defects and they would replace for free even though 1 year warranty was up. Delivery staff would call within 24 business hours. After 4 days I call back and get Mia rep, she claims I was disapproved for new unit after all?? I spoke to 2 supervisors above her Karin in Tennessee, and another. They claim I was mistaken??? I said, “Look up the recorded call and you will see the message is clear... They acted shifty and claimed I should buy a new starting at $1399!!! They would consider small discount?? Their rep was clear at first then they failed to back her up. Terrible customer service. Lied etc. Never buy Whirlpool!!! They are cheap and don’t stand behind reps. Awful company!!!

My brand new top-loading, high efficiency washer has squealed like a banshee from day one. Whirlpool replaced the main agitator part, with no success. It still squeals so loud, you cant have a conversation in the same room. Now, Whirlpool says that it is normal. No, it is not normal for a washer to squeal so loud. I am still waiting on Whirlpool to replace the same part they replaced the last time. We are still not abe to hear each other over the squeal of our new Whirlpool washer. This is not normal.

We purchased a Whirlpool AccuBake oven in 2005. I think we used the self-cleaning feature about 3 times. The reason I mention this is it may be a possible cause to the frightening experience we had on August 15, 2012. My wife was cooking on the stove top when suddenly we heard loud electrical explosions coming from the back of the oven. We soon saw long arcing bolts of sparks shooting out the back, and my wife was terrified and didnt know what to do. I told her and my son to stay away from it. I ran to the circuit breaker box and turned off the breaker. We then looked in the back of the oven and it was on fire. I ran around looking for a fire extinguisher but my son managed to put the fire out. We called Whirlpool up and explained what had happened. They immediately sent someone out to look at it.I was very impressed at how fast they got someone out there. Whirlpool sent two technicians to look at the damage. After they were done inspecting, they told my wife that the problem is loose connections on Whirlpools side and not the feed and it had a damaged control board and that this is the fault of Whirlpool. He was very polite to us and apologized for any inconvenience. After a week had passed, no one called us, so my wife called and talked to some woman representative at Whirlpool. She told my wife that the report she got said that the oven had loose connection on the feed side from where we bought the oven and we should deal with them. My wife couldnt believe her ears and said, No, thats not what the technician told us, and the woman continued to talk and my wife said, Wait, slow down. The woman replied, Oh, am I going too fast for you? Well, I guess I have to talk slower then, in a sarcastic tone. My wife then called the technician who wrote the report and explained what the representative had told her, and his reply was, I cant believe she said that. I am not happy about this, that is not what I wrote in my report. Dont worry, I will personally take care of this. Again, the technician was civil and polite. After two days passed, my wife talked to the same woman again but this time she changed her story. She never apologized and said, It looks like in this report that the connections were loose to the control board. Since the oven is 7 years old and accounting for depreciation, Whirlpool is offering to you a total of $59. My wife said, Really, $59? How long is the life expectancy of these ovens? She told her, 10 years. My wife said, 10 years? Well, ours only lasted 7 and you are giving us $59 after we were almost killed and my home could have burnt down to the ground? She said, That is our offer.I called Whirlpool back and asked to talk with the safety supervisor and it was a woman again. Was it the same woman? It could have been the same woman my wife talked to, I was not sure. I asked her, When is it appropriate to issue a recall on a product? Our oven was defective at purchase. She said, You are the only complaint we had on this oven, so no recall is necessary. Yes, I said, but since it has been proven this is the fault of Whirlpool, I would expect at least a working oven from Whirlpool. I also told her the technician told my wife that Whirlpool should be bending over backwards for you, and she said, I apologize for the technicians remarks. I told her that I was dissatisfied and she will be hearing from me in the future. I did some looking on the internet and I found that KitchenAid which is made from Whirlpool had issues with a particular oven which was found that when the self-cleaning feature was used, it would heat up the control board, and since most people dont use the self-cleaning feature that often, it would take a very long time to develop. I thought that loose connections and heat are a bad recipe for disaster, and that quality control negligence and inferior components are to blame. Considering the past history and track record of class action lawsuits and appliance malfunctions such as the control board on their dishwashers, I believe it is all connected and related to my problem. Sorry but $59 isnt going to buy me a decent toaster oven, let alone a real oven. That oven should have lasted over 10 years and considering the possible damage and deaths that could have occurred, you would think that it would be in Whirlpools best interest to address this problem and bend over backwards for anyone who had the misfortune of purchasing this mickey-moused nightmare of a disaster-waiting-to-happen problem. Its not so much the money. What if a small child touches an oven as it conducts 220 volts then shocks into a childs heart to ground? What a ticking time bomb this oven is. As far as I am concerned, I dont want a dangerous oven like this in my home and Whirlpool needs to take some lessons in public relations.

I purchased a Whirlpool induction cooktop Aqualift self cleaning oven Nov.1/12. The oven has never been easy to clean you always have to scrub it, now I boiled some pies over in Oct/13, the syrup burned into the bottom of the oven before the pies were finished baking. My oven is now pitted, warped, and bakes very unevenly, have contacted the merchant, Saskatoon Appliance, Whirlpool, and Excelsior Insurance (extra warranty) Insurance guarantees 24-48 hr service but to no avail. We still have no service 1 month later.

The machine is two years old. It cost over $1,000 to buy. From the beginning, we have had mold issues with the machine. The entire house fills with the smell of rotten eggs every time we use it. The machine is used daily so it doesnt sit for long periods. Despite all the complaints online about their machines, Whirlpool refused to acknowledge that there is a design problem with the machine. They refused to make any repairs or buy the machine back and their only suggestion was to buy more chemicals from them to use to clean the machine. We have done this in the past to no avail. Oh, they did offer to send out a service company but on my dime. Whirlpool needs to be sued and I only wish that someone would start a class action suit against them. It really stinks when you try and do the right thing and buy American only to have the company not give a crap about their customers or the fact that their product is garbage. About 10 years ago, I had a Maytag front loader washing machine with the same problem. Maytag bought the machine back on a pro-rated basis, no problem, no question. Of course, Maytag is now owned by Whirlpool. Too bad they didnt adopt Maytags customer service policy. I cant wait for them to go out of business - something they deserve.

Its just a plain refrigerator. No bells and whistles. It could have more space in the bottom and well as a ice machine or ice maker. Nothing special about it. Just a place to keep food. The light in top could be higher so food does not touch it.

Purchase whirlpool washer model W2W4800xQ2 in Sept. 2012. Had problem with lid lock after warranty. Now lid lock does not work, takes 1/2 hour to start wash and does no spin. Called whirlpool and they will do nothing. Repair will be $200. I opt to just purchase new machine. This machine is one piece of garbage.

Its supposed to be energy efficient yet it takes AT LEAST two times as long to get one load done, regardless of size or cycle preference! Now laundry takes all day! Literally! And why is there a lid lockout? Did someone accidentally fall in? If I drop something after Ive pushed start, I have to wait until the machine unlocks the lid. Why? This seems counterproductive. Its a top loader!

I am on my second Cabrio. The first one only lasted a few years, but I stayed with the Cabrio line because I didnt want to replace the dryer. That was my first mistake. The second Cabrio washer constantly leaves a white residue on dark clothing. I used an HE detergent, reduced the detergent and put the dark clothes through an extra rinse and still find residue that has to be scraped off. I called Whirlpool on Dec. 19th, 2018 to complain about this and was told there was no history reported of this kind of problem. Then I went on the ConsumerAffairs website to learn that many others have the same residue issue, among many other products. I will not ever purchase a Whirlpool machine of any kind again.

Whirlpool Washing Machine WTW4800XQ4 - This is an expensive piece of garbage. My clothes come out with lint still on them. They do not smell clean and in fact, I wonder if they even are. My blankets come out heavy and soaking wet, so much so that I have to repeat a rinse and drain cycle before I can place into the dryer. The machine is always off balance and its so loud that my almost deaf grandmother who cant hear a thing wants to know what that noise is when shes halfway across the house each time Im doing laundry. Ive called Whirlpool and they have sent a tech out who insisted it was I who did not know how to load a washer and that was causing all of the problems. I found this interesting since I am 37 and never encountered difficulty with a washing machine before. Our visit concluded when he insisted it was user error and went on his way. The next day, the washer was not even cycling, and I phoned whirlpool back. This time, there was a computer problem and there was no arguing about it. The technician came back out reset the internal computer. The machine seemed to run more quietly for about a week, but went right back to its old loud self. The only improvement Ive noted since then is it does not move across the floor now while washing. I wish I never bought this thing and would certainly never recommend it.

Ive owned the microwave for 2 years, and recently the DOOR AJAR alarm goes off whenever I try using it. The appliance is now essentially unusable. I wish I knew about this known defect before purchasing. I spoke with Whirlpool Customer Care, and they want to charge me to have someone come fix a known defect. The charge is more than what I paid for the microwave. Please avoid Whirlpool at all costs!

I bought 2 Cabrio washing machines for my two homes along with the matching dryers. They worked for about 3 months, then the washers displayed OL Error during any wash cycle. I tried to contact manufacturer and have not been able to get service without charge. After reading the many posts I am not sure if I should dump both or start investing $$$ in service calls.

I just want to say that this washer is indeed a colossal waste of money. I bought an HE machine thinking Id be environmentally responsible, but the amount of times I have to re-rinse clothes negates that. Whats worse is that clothes come out dirtier than when they go in. Thats right--just put a brand new set of sheets in the washer and when they came out, there were dissolved detergent marks and gray, linty patches all over them (this using warm water and a soft gel detergent)--resembling dirt you might get from hanging clothes on a mildew clothes line. I cant tell you how many times I need to re-run the drain and spin cycle. This wastes time, water and quality of life. My letter specifically said I did not expect customer resolution but wanted to express what a rotten product they produced and marketed. Then I was told there was nothing she could do. I do apologize for your frustration. I couldnt BELIEVE they would bother contacting me only to make me go through that charade-- They are PATHETIC! I say boycott the company! Well, I certainly will.

In March 04 2014, I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine. After having had a Whirlpool for 17 years without any problems with it, I purchased another one. This last one is a piece of junk. I dont even want to talk about the noise, I think it is expiring or on its last leg. They should fire the engineers that invented this model and bring back the other engineers that invented the one I had for such a long time, they far surpassed these space scientists that they now have. On August 8, I called Whirlpool, they sent me someone from Dinos appliances. This man tells me that there is nothing wrong with this machine and that he re-calibrated it. Whatever that means, it is still not wringing the clothes properly. There are only 2 people in my household, so my loads are not very large. I even tried this Drain & Spin cycle after the wash was completed and the clothes still came out too wet. I also have a Whirlpool Dryer and I will not replace it with the same brand. I also will never buy a Whirlpool product again and will make sure that I will share my experience with everyone I know.

The machine has an infinite water level setting, an agitator which I feel cleans clothes better, separate settings for water temperature for both wash and rinse cycles, and the ability to soak prior to washing by just leaving the lid up. You can add bleach and fabric softener to dispensers that will add to the tub at the time needed. My machine has been a really good one.

Within 5 years, this is my experience: A broken brand new Whirlpool fridge after 6 months of purchase; a broken oven that needed repair after 1 year, and today, the oven door just shattered in pieces after I heard a loud noise from the kitchen, almost injured the kids. And guess what, I just returned a new Tilt-Head Stand Mixer KitchenAid that wouldnt stay in place; the head keeps on tilting and would not stay locked. After being on hold on the phone for almost 3 weeks for a return, I found out it was a Whirlpool brand family. This is horrible, I would suggest to never buy the Whirlpool brand; their products are a real nightmare and their customer service is not reliable. If you do buy from them, expect unreliable products and very long long wait periods on the phone.

Whirlpool Water Heater FG1F4040S3NOV - I had this water heater installed in 2005 by a professional plumber and every year since like clockwork, I have to replace the gas control valve/thermostat. Last year, Sears came and did the work and made their arrangements to have the part replaced. This year 2012, March 9 my gas control valve went again. The unit is not even a year old and broke again. Unfortunately, the six-year warranty is up on the hot water tank. I called Whirlpool two times. The first time, the guy told me that the warranty was up and hung up on me! The second time, the guy would not honor the replacing of a part that is not even a year old yet. The money I spent over the six years making repair on it, I could have bought a new one. This company is nothing but a bunch of **. Is there anything that I can do? I have paid to replace this five years in a row.

My Calypso washer is broken AGAIN. I have spent more in repairs than the machine cost originally. After more than a dozen emails to customer service they have still not answered me even once. Its obvious they put as much pride in their customer service as they put into the assembly of their products.

After 2 years it stopped draining. We have to physically hit cancel to get it to drain. Also, I have had to make my own tool to take bottom spin bar off to get to and unjam grinder and we pre-wash all dishes.

Purchased side-by-side 3 weeks ago. There are 2 adults and 1 kid in my household and the ice maker in the unit does not put out enough ice to handle our small demand, though this was never an issue with the 14 year old Whirlpool that this one replaced! We are using ice trays to supplement what ice the ice maker puts out but the ice trays take up valuable freezer space. Their service reps have inspected it and tell me that it is performing per the specs and when I ask for what the remedy is, there is none... ie. too bad, so sad!! I am apparently on my own with a brand new refrigerator with an ice maker that wont perform up to minimum expectations!

I bought a new top loader Whirlpool washing machine. Water would not drain enough so that the clothes could be dried in the dryer. It does not have the thing in the middle that you put your clothes around. My clothes get tangled together all the time. A repair person came and said that I needed to load the clothes in a different way. Different from what the salesperson told me. Still tangled and still not dry enough to put in the dryer. I have to use the drain spin cycle every time!!! My dryer still takes 120 minutes to dry a load!!! Second repairman comes and tells me I need a new computer system and I will have to use the laundromat. A month later they tell me they cannot get the computer and will replace the machine which is still brand new. Bring new machine and my clothes still will no spin enough so that they are dry enough to put in the dryer!! So sick of this and will never buy another Whirlpool product again!!!

We have had the washer and dryer for over 10 years and they are still working great. We have had washers and dryers in the past within 2 years have failed, and repairs have cost us almost as much as a new one. Thank God for the ones we have now.

I will never, ever, ever buy a Whirlpool appliance again. We bought the french door bottom mount refrigerator in 2013. After our warranty ran out, we had to have the guts of the refrigerator replaced and then the ice maker replaced again. Now the freezer door wont shut and I cannot believe that Whirlpool would put their name on this piece of junk! We splurged to get what we thought was a high end model but it has been problem after problem. RUN from Whirlpool!

This was the first new appliance that I had actually ever had and I purchased it in October of 2010. After four months, it started make a grinding sound. I called Whirlpool and the repair man replaced the motor. Approximately four months after that, the lid got stuck and the machine would not respond. Same routine as before, but this time the transmission was replaced. While the machine was apart, I noticed the white insulating panel from the bottom was brown in a spot and looked as if it had gotten hot. A month before the 1 year warranty expired, the washer started making an intermittent grinding sound nearly identical to the sound made when the motor went out. This time a different service company was sent out my Whirlpool and the said that nothing was wrong. Now, the machine is out of warranty and has stopped cleaning close and during the spin cycle the you can hear water running into the machine constantly. Last months water bill shows a 40% increase in water consumption when nothing has changed to incur a larger bill. Seeing all these comments makes me wonder why the heck nothing is being done to force recalls on such poor products. Consumers should be treated with a lot more respect than this. I will never recommend a Whirlpool product to anyone I meet. In fact, I will strongly discourage anyone who is contemplating buying a Whirlpool washer machine.

I bought all new Whirlpool appliances for my house. After three years, the dishwasher is now broken and the washing machine is now broken as well. The refrigerator has had service two times in the past three years. The only thing that works is the stove that I bought. Whirlpool is all junk.

Purchased 03/28/13. Refrigerator 62 degrees on July 4, 2013. Called for service July 5 - came out July 9 and told unrepairable - wiring harness set against tubing rusted and broke wires. Since July 9, I have been trying to get my replacement from Whirlpool and always told they will call me 24-48 hours - never calls. Asked for supervisor on July 22, then asked for her name and direct number. Supervisor said someone would call me about delivery. Supervisor told me if a local store would have had in stock, they would have sent it out from there (called local store and was told 6 were in stock and could be delivered tomorrow). Tried to call supervisor back to inform her, but number would not go through (apparently bogus number). As of July 22, 2013, still no refrigerator. Very poor customer service/service repair. July 24 - asked if I needed to get an attorney and/or contact local new consumer advocate - Whirlpool said they would issue a refund check for the refrigerator, and that I should receive it in 14-21 business days - said they could not refund on credit card I used to make original purchase. Hopefully, the check will arrive.

After having my Whirlpool side by side refrigerator ice maker replaced 4 TIMES in 10 years, I finally found a permanent fix for it: an Igloo counter top ice maker for around half the price of a replacement Whirlpool ice maker. Unlike the Whirlpool ice maker, it makes ice. I promptly removed the Whirlpool ice maker FOR THE LAST TIME, and sent it to the dump, where it belongs. Goodbye Whirlpool! If that is the best you can produce, you will not receive any more of my hard earned money!

We purchased this Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine from Sears about four, maybe five years ago and have complained repeatedly. We have had repairmen out numerous times. Of course, they have had to order parts. My clothes are not getting clean and they now have an odor to them. The machine is getting noisier and noisier and it is rocking like crazy (I had to put plyboard underneath to protect the floor) during the rinse cycle. The water sprays out erratically and sprays even slower for cold water, then warm water, which was weird! Thankfully, I still have it under warranty (I got the extended warranty). I am now getting ready to call them again. I will never buy this brand again.

Whirlpool contacted me today about a review I posted on their website about the washing machine I purchased from one of their distributors. It was not to say they were sorry for the washing machine ruining our floor or our clothing. It was to say that they will not post my review because the model number is not the same as the one I purchased. Unfortunately for me my model was manufacture discontinued and although they look alike this new model is significantly different than the previous model it replaced (I will believe that when I see it). So they obviously knew there were problems with the earlier machine. I am outraged that whirlpool would stoop to such low business tactics to sell their garbage to people and then treat them like dirt.

I bought a Whirpool side by side model GSF26C5EXW00 on 4/24 from Lowes in Buford, It was delivered the next day.We followed all the start up directions. You know what a mildewy moldy towel smells like...Well that is what the water and ice smells and taste like coming out of the dispenser. I have had the technician to my house 6 times. the tap water taste good, the water coming out of the line leading to the refrigerator is good. Gee is must be something in the refrigerator! How many times do they have to come out before they actually do something about it? Like replace it or give me my money back.

GX5FHDXVY04 French door fridge. Ice maker backup issue - which cause water to build up and leak out of fridge. Fix was a known issue with a rubber grommet - $100.00. Fridge stopped blowing cold air - control board - $293. Fridge stopped blowing cold air again! Getting Nowhere with Customer service... Whirlpool used to be a great brand. They have lost me as a customer, and by the looks of this board, Facebook page, I am not alone!

I have had Whirlpool appliances for a very long time. However, I am extremely dissatisfied with the purchase of my last Whirlpool washer a couple of years ago. The washer is extremely noisy, to begin with, and I complained to hhgregg about this. They delivered a couple of other machines, all of which were very noisy. The latest problem with this machine has been with the tearing my clothes. My clothing gets caught under the agitator and the items tear. This is a poorly designed washer and I wish I had never purchased it. I was thinking and wrongly so, that the washer would be as good as my previous washers. I purchased a Whirlpool Flame Lock gas water heater with a 12 year warranty from Lowes in November 2011. It lasted almost 6 years. Called Whirlpool Support and no one in my area is a certified repair facility. Closest one is 45 miles away, and he wont drive up to check out my water heater because Im too far away. Called someone in town. He came out, looked at it for 2 minutes, and said he never saw a water heater like this, but Sears may carry parts. Charged me $50 for service call. Sears couldnt find the model number in their parts catalogs. I dont have a manometer (What is it?) so I cant do diagnostic tests on it myself. Cant find out anything about them online except complaints from other steamed customers about this crappy product. Whirlpool Support wouldnt do anything else for me except say they were sorry I got stuck with a bad product of theirs. It was made for Whirlpool by US Craftmaster Water Heaters Co.

Purchased I assumed a brand-new electric hot water heater from Lowes. It worked giving us hot water for 5 months then it quit. We called the number they have located on the side of the water heater and they sent 3 references such as plumbers for us to contact because everything they told us to purchase didnt work... so after their references, plumber came out. Instead of him telling us what was wrong why all of a sudden we stopped getting hot water he didnt return our phone call. As a professional that sucks!!! So WHIRLPOOL CUSTOMER SERVICE says the hot water heater that had been working for 5 months wasnt up to code and wasnt wired right and WE need to pay an electrician to connect it right... thats **. The electrician did it correct the first time. Whirlpool just dont want to accept the fact that their equipment is faulty!!! But thats good because I will NEVER purchase anything WHIRLPOOL makes. I dont care if they start making water. I will just quit The hell with that company!!! WHIRLPOOL SUCKS!!! We bought this dishwasher because it was rated on the quieter side... It was purchased in 1999 and is still operating like new. I am amazed it has never broken down. I have wanted to replace it but my wife says Why?

I have read most of the reviews and it seems like I have ALL those problems with my Whirlpool Cabrio, but I also need to add that there is rust around the bleach dispenser and I DONT use bleach. The inside is also rusted, but its not visible until you take a good look inside because its under the white paint but its all around the inside. So I had to stop using the machine because I now realize what was the cause of the damage done to some of our clothes. We all need to get our money back and have this washing machine picked up and thrown away!!!

We had purchased an 80-gallon hot water heater less than five years ago. The tank started leaking, so the whole hot water heater had to be replaced. The previous unit we had was at least 10 years old, if not more. We are extremely displeased with the quality, and very upset with having to outlay such a large amount of money within five short years. Whirlpool has certainly not earned our trust in their workmanship.

Bought a Whirlpool 25 cu ft side by side in 2011 and now just 4 years later the compressor is bad. Called them and they only have a 1 year warranty, which is nothing for a compressor. They told me for $350 they could replace it and it be good for only a year. Not going to sink more money into a product even the company has no confidence in. The repairman advised to stay away from Whirlpool as they were not the company they used to be. Also the salesman at Lowes where it came from said they used to have a 5 year warranty but changed several years ago and the quality also went down. We have had refrigerators last 25 to 30 years in the past but no more thanks to modern technology. Thanks a lot. STAY AWAY FROM WHIRLPOOL!

We had the unfortunate experience of purchasing a Whirlpool product from Lowes. During Memorial Day weekend we came home to a freezer full of defrosted meat. After having to throw away 1/3 of a steer that we purchased from a local 4-H students project due to the temperature of the meat and not knowing how long it had been at that temperature. I called Lowes and they said there was nothing they could do for me since the freezer was over 1 month old. It was right at 2 months. (Purchase date - failure date). They advised me to call Whirlpool directly and gave me a number to the warranty technician. The warranty technician came and immediately found the problem. The defrosting connector was not plugged in when it was manufactured. Clearly a manufacturer issue. I called Whirlpool to find out how much of my over $1500 of meat they would cover. They told me they would not cover any of the loss. Then they offered me a 1 year extended warranty for free for my Inconvenience. What a slap in the face. Why would I need a warranty or even a freezer for that matter since I no longer have anything to put in it. Needless to say I will no longer purchase any products from Lowes or Whirlpool.
