Model # WFG510S0AS1 SER #R30850040. Oven was installed NEW in the home I purchased in July of 2013. I used the cleaning feature on it in Nov 2014. I am amazed that it did not start a fire. Please see pictures attached. The whole control panel melted. This makes the oven unusable and extremely dangerous. I will need to replace the whole control panel. I followed the instructions completely in the manual provided for the cleaning cycle. It says in the manual to only clean the over this way as using easy off or any other cleaner will damage the inner surfaces.Whirlpool claims they have no knowledge of this problem but there are numerous complaints on their site about it as well as other internet sites complaining about the melting of the control panel. I need to know how to fix this problem and dont believe I should have to pay for something that is obviously a flaw in the materials used. It is extremely dangerous. Since these pieces of Whirlpool equipment were installed by the broker that originally purchased the home, I have no record of purchase. I can try and contact him and see if he has anything but kind of doubt he has receipts now.

Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer a few years back... Started getting F1 error message and just proceeded thru it like most did initially, but now has become pain in the rear just to do one load of laundry as we get the error 2-3 times when we start each load - then on every load w/ 21 minutes left on the cycle. From the looks of things online this is a chronic problem and should be fixed by manufacturer. I called Whirlpool customer service and first person I talked with said they understand it is an issue but no longer are any recalls or reworks on that machine. I asked to speak w/ supervisor and sat on hold until I got one. Was then informed they do know it was a problem but was not something they could do anything about other than schedule a service company to come take a look. I specifically asked if there was at one time a recall or if they were fixing this issue for a while. She said Yes, they took care of some of their customers but are no longer doing that for this model. So basically because I didnt call in at the right time I need to fix my machine myself. I said it will be the last Whirlpool or Whirlpool associated appliance I ever purchase if this is the kind of customer service I can expect... The supervisor just said she was sorry to hear that and to have a nice day. Hopefully enough people read these reviews as I wish I would have before purchasing my Cabrio and dont buy Whirlpool.

Gas control not working. I have replaced the thermostat twice in three years. Now, the hot water tank pilot will not light. The igniter works; a new thermostat has been properly installed, and the pilot will not light. The gas is on, and the tank has functioned. I just want a new gas control.

I purchased this washers predecessor, the WTW6200 in May of 09, along with the matching dryer. The bearings gave out after 36 months of use, and our household comprises two adults in their mid-fifties. Estimated cost of the repair? $650! Why am I posting this here? Because two weeks ago, my daughter-in-law called to say that shed so liked my machine when she visited in 09 - Id had the thing for two weeks at that time - that shed bought the WTW8500B and... the bearings were already giving out. I suggested she get the thing repaired, sell it immediately and replace it with an LG product, which is what Ive done.She has been put on a three-month waiting list for the repair, confirming my feeling that Whirlpool, as a whole, has gone down the tubes. Their service record is dreadful, with an excess of 20K complaints existing at various consumer agencies regarding ALL the Cabrio line, and their warranty, Ive learned, is considered the worst in the industry. All in all, the single worst purchase of my fifty-odd years.

I purchased the Cabrio washer/dryer in 2006. We have had it repaired 6 times and I even purchased a two year extended warranty after having issues with it the first year. Now I seem to be in the same boat. The washer will not spin and drain. This has already been looked at by a technician several months ago. I feel like this product is faulty and has not worked properly from the start. Are there lemon laws for appliances? It seems that this product would qualify. I will never purchase Whirlpool again.

After owning the Cabrio washing machine (WTW5700XW, purchase price $629) for approximately 18 months, it began stalling at the spin cycle, leaving the clothes sopping wet. We found we had to unplug the machine to reboot the computer, and then we were able to manually choose the drain and spin cycle to complete the cycle. Before beginning a new wash cycle, we have to unplug to reboot again, or it sticks in a perpetual pump cycle.I scheduled a repair appointment from the Whirlpool automated service system. The repair man determined the computer control panel has to be replaced. Diagnostic service call was $136, repair est, $321.67, repair service call, $60-130. Total repair cost on an 18-month old machine was $520+. I declined the repair in hope of getting extended warranty coverage from Whirlpool. Nobody has responded to my email complaint from one week ago, not even a computer acknowledgment of receipt of my email.

I purchased my Whirlpool French door refrigerator about 2 years ago. I shopped around and read reviews before deciding on the Whirlpool. After about 9-10 months the ice maker didn’t seem to produce enough ice. I called the store I purchased it at and tried to get them to come out and find out what was wrong. They waited and waited. I had to call them back at least 2 times before they finally sent someone. But by the time they sent someone to look at it the one year warranty had expired. I spent $1800.00 on this refrigerator and it didn’t even last longer than a year. Of course Whirlpool wanted to come look at it and charge me another $100.00 service call and possibly another $100.00 for parts and labor. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again.

Horrible stove. Bought online. Get set up and its worst design ever. Have to lay down on floor to watch broiler. Cant even slide out. The stove top is difficult to clean. The cast iron grates are very heavy and have to move one side at a time. I Cant control low heat. Have to use back burner only. Then Crap builds up on back console. The oven grates are too wide apart, Have To supplement with racks from my other stove oven.

WTW8800YWO Whirlpool Cabrio washer, 4 yrs old! Replaced!!! Its a poor quality washer -- the bearings go out. I purchased this washer and matching dryer at Lowes following a house fire. I initially thought the water saver was a good feature. Unfortunately, my clothes were not clean and were covered with lint following each wash. I have had to replace the ring inside the washer due to shifting and causing water damage to the new flooring. I soon became disappointed with my purchase, but until the noise became so loud in the spin cycle and the repair exceeded the initial costs, I kept the washer. I am another consumer who would NEVER purchase nor recommend a Whirlpool W/D. The repairman said, If you want a washer built to last, buy a Speed Queen!

The dishwasher we purchased is a great deal. I love opening up a dishwasher to sparkling clean dishes. The top rack moves up and down and silverware stores easily in the door. Its sooo quiet and easy to use. I love the hidden buttons that dont attract my toddler! Highly recommend!

This series is a complete dud. We purchased a home in 2015 that had a Whirlpool Gold Series refrigerator. The home was built in 2013 and appliances were brand new. The majority of our neighbors, whose homes also contained this refrigerator, have had to repair or replace this model. None of the homes in my neighborhood are older than 4 years. We will not be purchasing anything Whirlpool associated in the future.

Im very frustrated. I bought a Whirlpool Refrigerator for nearly $1300 in Sept. 11. It is a side-by-side Model #ED5KVEXVL00. The refrigerator side started warming up to the point that we noticed. We put a thermometer inside to confirm; it went up to nearly 60 degrees. We tried cleaning any dust underneath from the coils and even unplugged it for a while. The compressor appears to be the potential problem. Sears is not sending a repair guy for 2 WEEKS (It is a hot July here in NY)!!!!We are saddened that Whirlpool says it is out of the one-year warranty - so now we are facing the choice of a large repair bill or buying a new refrigerator. What a waste of money... Its not even 2 years and it needs service or a dumpster. Shame on Whirlpool for not standing up for customers when clearly there is something wrong with this machine so close to the warranty and so new. Sears and Whirlpool - youve lost me as a future appliance customer!!! :(

We purchased the largest Whirlpool Cabrio Washer (over $1100 value) 3.5 years ago, and had nothing but trouble out of it. The drum has had to be replaced twice, the motor once, and then supposedly a bolt kept coming off on the drum as well, that had to be tightened twice. Now, we dont know what is wrong with it - we suspect suspension imbalance or something, because this extra large capacity washer is constantly unbalanced even with 6 articles of fabric in it now, and I dont even think about putting even what would be considered a medium-large load in it, because it flat up will not wash. You can put a level on it, and it shows leveled, but it still wont operate worth anything. My wife is so put out by it at this point that she has even talked about getting an old ringer washer (seriously). Sears keeps coming out here because we had purchased the extended warranty and truly if they had simply replaced the washer after the 2nd trip to the house, they would have more than paid for the replacement washer even. Instead, they keep coming, looking at it, then having to order parts, and then come back a couple weeks later to put the shipped parts (which sit around our house), back in to repair it each time. All the while, we go without a washer or barely can wash any clothes. We have even taken clothes to the laundromat during one of the repair instances, because we cant just have mounds of clothes piled up for their month-long service. It is ridiculous how little it seems that Sears and Whirlpool care about their customers. I have gone to Whirlpool and Sears Home Services sites and complained at both. I have called both of their 800 lines in the past and again, this yielded nothing to truly depict either company cares. It just goes to prove that customer satisfaction is far less valuable to either of these companies than the bottom dollar profits in our opinion. I dont know where else to post our concerns/frustrations, so anyone can see how put out these two companies have caused us and dont care, but if anyone knows of anywhere else I can post blogged concerns, please let me know.I have complained previously about a dishwasher that we had purchased that we had numerous issues with. Those complaints fell on deaf ears to Whirlpool and really Sears as well. I dont think all the washers are duds, but this one has been nothing but trouble, and Sears wont just replace it, Whirlpool dont care. I have been given the runaround that it is because there arent three (3) service calls in a 12-month period for the exact same issue. Well, I am sorry that it doesnt appear to be just one thing! I have had it with these services calls, parts having to be ordered, only to hit the crazy repeat button again every time! I paid about $3500 for this, alleged, top of the line fridge a little over 2 years ago. The freezer, bottom type, doesnt get cold enough to thoroughly freeze food. Called Sears, they said out of warranty, the same with whirlpool. But they can have a tech run a diagnostic check for $85. Here we go. They suck more money out of the consumer game, and try to baffle them with **, legal jargon. FYI for all. Dont buy Whirlpool from any store selling Whirlpool products, any Whirlpool products. Once the middle men get the picture, they will stop ordering or buying from Whirlpool.Whirlpool are a bunch of con artists selling crappy products with false integrity. They are the typical old school door to door salesman that sells a crappy product then is on the run to the next state. No receipt or order number. I bought the product two years ago but here is the Serial number K30416919 and the Model number WRF989SDAM00. What happened to fridges that lasted at least 10 years? An outdated computer costs more and lasts longer than their products.

I bought the french door refrigerator Sept 2014. Recently the change filter light came on so I bought the filter. I read the instructions and then when I went to install it, the filter door would only open about 10%. I called Whirlpool and explained it was obviously a manufacturing error. They didnt care. Out of warranty. Everyone can make a mistake but when you wont own up to it and take care of it, that defines your character or lack of it. I think I will video the whole thing and put it on YouTube.

Our dishwasher stopped working after 13 months. We are a family of 2 and use it once a week. We called Whirlpool and were told since it is past 12 months, they would do nothing but give us the name of a repairman in the area. We called our own repairman and $120 later, the sensor that had malfunctioned was replaced. Quite costly on a $450 dishwasher. Now, after 15 months, the handle on the lower broiler portion of my Range has come off and the screws will not hold because the plastic around them deteriorated. I just called customer service once again, knowing what I would be told and YES was told So sorry, nothing we can do. A new handle will be $45 plus shipping. We bought the refrigerator at that same time and every day, I wait for this appliance to have issues. In summary, Whirlpool/Maytag appliances are obviously made to be disposable after 12 months. They do not stand behind their products and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Purchased the French door bottom freezer 29 cubic ft. refrigerator on Dec. 22, 2012. Ice maker broke Dec. 2, 2013 and it has been downhill since. Replaced it and it broke again on Jan 2, 2014. Been waiting ever since for replacement parts. In the meantime, the freezer went out. Compressor went out. Freezer is as cold as refrigerator at 40 degrees. Lost food out freezer and food molds in refrigerator after a few days. Repairman came to investigate and determined the refrigerator is a lemon and needs to be replaced. Thankfully for the 5-yr extended warranty, it will be replaced, but it has certainly been a headache. Everything shiny isnt gold...

Washes great. Love the literal bells and whistles. Never has failed to give the family a very clean wash. Price was great and got the matching dryer too. I have heard prices have gone up but this washer is worth every penny.

I loved the Whirlpool Refrigerator! Nice size and always worked well. Had to replace it after condenser quit working. This current fridge is unhandy in many ways. No light in the freezer and size is too small. Had to fit into existing space, but does not have as much storage space as the KitchenAid that fit in the same space.

This microwave has crack everywhere and its barely 3 months old. When I want to use it, it makes this weird noise and then it stops. I have not talked to Whirlpool yet, but Ill see what theyll say. My recommendation right now for all those individuals trying to purchase a microwave, dont even look at Whirlpool brand, they just ***.

I am experiencing problems with keeping my pilot lit too. I checked the screen and this is not the issue. I have just returned from Lowes where I purchased the water heater and they informed me Whirlpool supplied kits for this issue and it was widespread. They mentioned a class action and went on to tell me they and all surrounding Lowes stores are out of the free kit and arent expecting anymore. Am I to feel lucky my water heater water didnt fail sooner only to feel unlucky all of the free repair kits are now gone? Lowes provided me with the Whirlpool phone number for help and they have just informed me it will cost me $35.44 plus shipping. I now see how widespread this problem is. This isnt right. I am very disappointed in the handling of this known problem! What is my next course of action?

Bought new from menards. Doesnt work properly, doesnt wash right and cleans poorly. It too bad because I thought I was upgrading from my old Whirlpool washer that was 15 years old so I order the new cogs for the agitator on the old machine and now using it again. Works better than the new one. Sad that whirlpool wont stand behind the product. Might as well be made in china.

In 2009 I bought 2 (yes 2) machines (one was for our daughter). I also took out 5 year warranties on both (good job I did). Within the first month on our machine the paddles flew off and after a bit of a debate with the insurers we had another machine (same model). Within a short period from date of purchase both machines had a number of faults - circuit boards, weights that came loose! and bearings going. There are other bits but too extensive to list. To be fair to the insurers they were no trouble (it really is the inconvenience of being without a washer and having to schedule time to get it sorted out). I will never ever buy a Whirlpool as all of these (3 in total) have been a nightmare and ours is sounding noisy again (it only had a new drum 12 months ago for bearings - yes you need a new drum for that £200 in all!!) so I am really glad that we have the insurance. When that runs out and the machine is dead (whichever comes first) I think we will will be buying either a Beko or a Samsung that are getting really high ratings. Anyone reading this might wonder why did we buy these in the first place. Well a colleague of mine at work had one and said it was fantastic (she had children so used hers a lot) hence me buying them (and they were not cheap by any means, so thought we were getting a cracking pair of machines....cracking, yes they might as well be as a chocolate fireguard has more reliability...WARNING DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL WASHING MACHINE - IT COULD DAMAGE YOUR SANITY! Sears, Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer and dryer purchased spring of 2013. I thought this would be a good combination to purchase quality appliances that would last for years. NOT! These machines are used by my wife and I only. Washer: Bearings go out. Repair: Replace tub and bearings. Quote: These things arent made to last more than about two or three years. Another quote. Do you notice that your clothes arent getting dry? Yes. Yeah well, you have to use the timed dry setting because the regular setting shuts off as soon as it senses one piece of clothes is dry and leaves the rest of your clothes damp. DO NOT BUY.

Purchased a WDF530PLYM3 Whirlpool dishwasher at Lowes in 2013. Now Ive paid $96.00 to Whirlpools authorized repairman to tell me it needs over $400.00 worth of parts (user interface and control board). He informed me with new digital controls, you MUST purchase extended warranty because they are not built to last and repairs are ridiculously expensive.

My mother bought these two years ago along with a washing machine and fridge. And now they are falling apart. The dishwasher wouldnt clean the dishes so my mother called the warranty people. It took a week to have someone come out and say it was fixed. The very first load it wouldnt clean the dishes. Now it takes another week to have someone to come out and say they need to order a part. Once the part gets here two weeks later it took 6 hours to fix. They replace the whole bottom half of the dishwasher, could have easily replaced the whole unit. Now a week later the clothes dryer doesnt turn on.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Top Loader High-Efficiency Machine on March 20, 2013. 14 months later, it failed. When I called customer service I was informed the 1 year warranty had expired (I knew this already) and that all they could offer me was a $319 extended warranty to fix machine and guarantee covered future repairs. Luckily, I had the machine repaired at no cost to me after complaining to the sales people I bought the machine from the year earlier. They contacted their Whirlpool representative who had the repair covered. Now, 3 years and 11 days after purchasing it, it failed again. This time the machine would no longer spin out the water. Whirlpool offered nothing more than to give the website and special code for a discount on a new machine. After some haggling, they agreed to pay for 50% of the parts only, no labor. I argued this machine must be a lemon, as they have told me theyve heard no prior issues with this machine and that it would be reasonable to replace this machine. They refused any further assistance. So I threw this piece of junk away and instead, for $185, bought a simple rebuilt 15 year old Maytag washer with agitator, direct drive. Just a couple of knobs. No computer, fancy bells and whistles. I can say with absolute certainty that I will never purchase a Whirlpool product ever again. I also believe these machines are no longer meant to last like old washers (and dryers) used to.

I bought YMFE330W0AW0 Whirlpool on sale less than a year ago and I have been angry since almost the beginning. This is a cheaply made product which angers me because Whirlpool is supposed to be a quality product. The clock cannot be set because we have to press really hard and that part of the stove head is broken now. I knew this would happen after only a few weeks but was wishing it would not. There is a lot of heat that leaks out of the oven continuously when trying to bake something. The top is horrible. This stove top does not keep an equal heating element so if you put it on low, it actually turns off for a few minutes and becomes red again for a moment or so. It is impossible to cook anything evenly. I HATE and DETEST this stove. The worst product I have ever known. If it is on sale...BEWARE.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer - Its very expensive and it quit after 3 years. Repairman said computer component went out and it would cost $450-$520 to repair and it wasnt worth it. He also told me I should have read reviews first. Whirlpool said I should have bought extended warranty. No more Whirlpool appliances will be bought for our homes or business.

I purchased a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator (G16FDRXXY07) from h.h.gregg appliances and electronics in Columbia, South Carolina, on August 3, 2012. It was delivered and installed on August 11, 2012. It functioned well for three weeks, and then temperature of refrigerator dropped to 25F. Vegetables and eggs got frozen. I made a service call to Sloan Appliance Service as soon as I was aware of the problem. In the 3rd visit, the thermometer was replaced after troubleshooting. After replacing the thermometer, the temperature of the whole refrigerator got higher than it was supposed to be. Refrigerator got around 53F, and freezer got 34F. All foods in the refrigerator got spoiled. In the past six weeks, the company sent technicians to my house to check the problem, and they tried to fix this refrigerator for 5 times. The situation got worse and worse. I have not had a functional refrigerator for 6 weeks. A technician came with a compressor on 10/22/2012 to see if replacing it could fix the problem. When he cut the copper pipe, he found that refrigerant was leaked out. There is no refrigerant at all. He refilled refrigerant without changing compressor. Because he thought the leak was slow, it should be caused by the evaporator. He thought it should work and last long enough when a technician comes back with evaporator replacement. It turned out what the technician thought was wrong. The temperature of both refrigerator and freezer did not drop to normal, 53F/34F. The problem persists. I called Whirlpool customer support line several times. The response I got was that Whirlpool would not replace for having manufactured a faulty appliance during manufacture warranty. They can only keep sending technician onsite to check and repair. For 6 weeks and 5 times onsite visits/repairs, this newly purchased refrigerator still does not function.

I had noticed water on the floor and just thought someone left the freezer open. It started happening about every other day. I read online that it was probably from the drain in the bottom on the freezer being clogged or frozen, and I found instructions on how to fix it. After we took the door off, the drawers out, and the back panel off, then we started thawing the drain. Finally, I got it cleared out. Here I am, a month later, there’s water on the floor again.

I replaced my 12 year old Whirlpool double ovens with the current Whirlpool double ovens. The new 30 built in double ovens have been re-designed to vent the heat below the lower oven. The ovens come with a part that pushes the heat down instead of straight out. My built in ovens have a cabinet drawer below and after using the ovens just 4 times over the holidays I noticed the heat is damaging the finish. According to Whirlpools service center I should have checked on that before buying/installing. They told me to stop using my ovens, that this is a fire hazard, but they are not responsible. They do not have a solution to this problem. This is a poor design on their part. There is a disclaimer in their installation booklet that came packed with the ovens that the installer gave me. It says the cabinets need to be able to withstand the heat of the ovens. The cabinets can handle the heat of the ovens, just not the hot air venting directly onto the cabinets below the oven. Where does one find cabinets that can withstand 400 degree heat being pushed directly onto them? As a customer I did not have that information until after the ovens were installed and it was too late to purchase another brand.

I am writing this review because I have been working with Whirlpool regarding our Cabrio washer for the last 9 months. Ever since we got this washer, it leaves a stain on our clothes, especially dark cottons. It looks like a grease stain. The machine is still under warranty (though we did purchase the 5 year warranty), and we have had the technicians out 3 times to figure out the problem and fix it. They even had another company come out to do a second opinion. They are stating that the machine is functioning and therefore there is nothing they can do for me. All of the tests the technicians do come out normal, and therefore the machine is functioning, never mind that it still leaves stains on many of our clothes on a regular basis.I spoke with someone yesterday who was unable to help, stating there was nothing they could do. So, I asked for her superior, he stated that it is functioning properly, and that I should take the advice of one of the technicians who suggested I mix the soap with water beforehand because he is pretty certain it is soap residue (though he admitted I dont use too much when I showed him how much I use). Never mind the fact that if I have to do something more than the directions state, it isnt working properly, we have already done this and it doesnt stop the residue from happening. He still just continued to say that is what the technician said would help so that is what Im supposed to do.So, I asked for his manager. I am currently waiting for them to call me back. I am hoping they will do the right thing and just exchange it for a different washing machine, one that will work. I dont care what kind, whether its brand new or not, I just want a washing machine that actually cleans my clothes instead of leaving a residue on them.We do agree with the technician that said it was soap residue. We have a picture of a pile of dry soap in the dispenser (which the first technician told me to switch to) after the washer had finished its cycle. The washer doesnt have enough water mix with the soap to keep it from leaving a residue on the clothes. And, the residue doesnt just wash off if I wash it again (which shouldnt need to be done with a washer that is less than a year old anyway). It is a permanent stain unless we scrub it with Lestoil - an oil remover. But, that takes time and it needs to be washed twice to get the Lestoil scent out, which then gives it the chance to get new stains from the washer! Its an endless cycle. Needless to say, I have NOT been impressed with this washer.

Not completely happy with my purchase of the Whirlpool Gold Series refrigerator I just paid off this month. Have had the refrigerator for one year. To be as large as it is, it really doesnt seem to be able to hold that much food. The refrigerator is on the top and the freezer is on the bottom. We began having issues with the ice in the ice maker becoming frozen together and forming clumps of ice. The ice felt damp to the touch rather than feeling completely frozen. We called the manufacturer and they said to be sure the vents in the freezer section were not blocked by food. So you have to be sure to load the freezer so that food doesnt block the vents. Additionally, when filling your glass with ice from the door, unless you are EXTREMELY careful, all of the ice will not go into the glass but spill out onto the floor. Weve had the refrigerator for one year and I still have ice coming out that doesnt make it into the glass. It is not user friendly at all. One last thing - the refrigerator has double doors and to get to the section of the middle pull out drawer, you have to open both of the double doors, letting out a lot of the cold air. For the expense of this particular refrigerator I would not recommend purchasing it. My last refrigerator was a Whirlpool as well. It lasted 17 years and I was very happy with it. This Gold Series was supposed to be a step up, but I feel it was a step down.

I have had my Whirlpool gold series dishwasher for approximately 10 years and it still does a great job washing my dishes. Recently, I found out if I forget to put a dish into it I would have to start the dishwasher all over again rather than it taking up where it left off. Also, the interior is badly stained and unable to clean it.

After reading all the reviews about the Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine, all I can say its just a piece of junk. We have replaced the agitator 3 times at $80.00 each, not including labor. Our clothes are never cleaned properly and it always seems to be out of balance. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

Whirlpool model N40T91 with FLAME LOCK - first failure was the controller valve only within 9 months of a new installation, replaced sort of free of charge, landlord had to pay ship charges. Days and days without hot water. About 6 months later, pilot failed to stay lit. Landlords maintenance man called Whirlpools Customer Service. They had him jump through hoops and finally told him to press a white reset button on the igniter. Okay, that worked. A few days later, pilot went out again, white button was reset, working again. Recently, and more frequent now, white igniter button keeps popping out, and we keep resetting it and relighting the heater, repeatedly, 4 times in one day.Maintenance man comes and calls Whirlpool Customer Service. They advise him to check this and check that. Everything seems to be in order. They say they will send out a qualified service person to diagnose a potential problem, a charge of $200.00. Maintenance man and landlord say, No thanks. Maintenance man goes to Lowes to buy a different brand model. Guess what? Envirotemp Hot Water Heaters have the same control device as the failing Whirlpool. He reboxed it and took it back and said, No thanks. Ill try to upload the images of the water heaters and controller you should stay away from purchasing. Meanwhile, maintenance man went to Menards and purchased a Richmond model, a well known, and reliable water heater manufacturer.

I bought these products 2 1/2 years ago along with a dishwasher and Microwave, all which are Gold Series. The first month my Microwave broke. Instead of a certain part that they used to use, they now use a Capacitor instead and it broke. The repairman fixed it under warranty, but told me Ill be seeing you again. Then, my oven occasionally says Function not available. Whirlpool wont tell me what the problem might be and they have nothing for troubleshooting this problem in their manual. My only solution is to reset the circuit breaker and then it works for awhile. Now, My refrigerator has ice building up at the bottom of my freezer and leaking all over my floor. I found a Whirlpool bulletin online which explains that this problem is because of a defective part (Grommet) and that they have a replacement part for it and you can get it by calling their customer service department. Why didnt they send out recall notices to their customers?So, on 8/10/2015 and 8/11/2015 I tried getting this new p-trap part, but for two days now Whirlpools computers arent working and they have no other way of looking this stuff up. Very poor customer service and I also waited for a half hour on the phone to be told their computers arent working. How about putting a message on their pre-recorded message letting customers know their computers arent working?

The pilot light went out on our Whirlpool hot water heater. We followed instructions and were unable to relight. Our plumber was also unable to relight so we ordered new parts with associated overnight express costs. The plumber returned and worked for over an hour. When the pilot light came on the burner assembly burned out the new thermo coupling and that needed to be replaced again. This happened again. I would like to join the class action suit as Whirlpool has known about this problem and consumers are paying more than the original cost of the unit for repairs.

This is one of the best washers I have had 4 years now. The spin cycle is great. Feel almost dry when done. My daughter was going to order this set but cant get them anymore. I guess it is because it is too good of a washer.

We moved into a new home (brand new construction) in Dec 2018. The ice maker/water dispenser has never worked. Weve had 2 different repair people come a total of 5 times to no avail. Now have to deal with Whirlpool directly to deal with Warranty. Will Whirlpool offer a new fridge? No, they will send a replacement door. 8 months later and we still have a fridge that does not work. Not impressed with Whirlpool and extremely unsatisfied with the produce. Do not buy this brand.

Extremely disappointed!! We purchased this water heater about 4 years ago and for the past year we have to manually turn on the burner. Its been a nightmare! We called Lowes to purchase the parts, but they do not sell the parts. There was a nine year warranty. Our last water heater lasted about 11 years. Its such a shame that this one is giving us problems just after 3 years. Im really considering just buying another one. I dont want to continue struggling with this one. Its been a bad purchase and coming to find out that Im not the only one with this problem. If its a defect Whirlpool should at least replace them for the inconvenience. They should take responsibility for selling defective products.

This machine cannot handle washing jeans, towels, blankets, pillows or anything bulky or very small loads. The load becomes ul unbalanced almost every time I try to wash a load. It has never gotten things very clean.

I have had a plumbing company work on my Whirlpool water heater three times in the last two months. On the third visit, he told me all the problems customers have had with Whirlpool water heaters. I decided to call Whirlpool for warranty purposes. The unit is three years old. I was told that it was the gas valve, and I was given a free one from Lowes. After installing the new valve, it still did not work properly. After troubleshooting with a technician, I was told it was the orifice. I have had to do all the labor myself, and I dont know how long this is going to go on. I have heard Whirlpool will continue to give you the runaround (from the plumbing company and Lowes salesmen) and will continue to give you the runaround and not replace the unit. They are wearing me down. I have been without hot water for three weeks with no end in sight. I am ready to give up and just buy another water heater but certainly not a Whirlpool.

Every washer Ive ever had has just a spin. Why dont these new washers? If the washer is un-level why would you add more water? They need a spin cycle to drain the water out of it. No more rinse and spin just a spin. Very aggravated.

This is a great choice if you like a drawer for a freezer. It’s double door. The racks are easily moved. There’s are drawers for beverages and cheeses and vegetables. One downfall is replacing water filter cartridge every couple months and freezer could be set up a little better so you don’t have to pack things on top of each other.

Whirlpool Cabrio wtw6400 - Never, never, never will I purchase a Whirlpool product again! I spent nearly $1,500 on this washer and dryer. The washer ties everything into knots and has had several problems, most recently the bearings going out! I just called customer service who said they would send a repair man, approx. cost $370. What a rip off! I strongly encourage everyone in this same boat to call their customer service complaint line and/or consumer reports. I bought from HH Gregg and will never shop there again either.

First the ice maker stopped making ice and then the freezer stopped freezing. The unit is 2 1/2 years old. Whirlpool wants $1800 to repair! No Way. Purchased a Samsung and hope I do better with this one. So little to be praised about this American brand.

We purchased a WRS576FIDM refrigerator from HHGregg in August 2015 and immediately had problems with ice maker and door having condensation on it. I contacted Whirlpool who had a tech come to my house and verify problems. Whirlpool replaced it with a new refrigerator in November 2015 and w/in a week it had awful condensation on the outside of the door, dripping onto the floor and pooling water. A tech responded to our house again and confirmed the problem with Whirlpool. Whirlpool advised they would be sending out two new doors for our side to side refrigerator and said we should receive them within 4 to 6 weeks from late November 2015. I asked Whirlpool to send us a different model because this is the second refrigerator of the same model that has the same issues. Whirlpool refused. I have spent countless hours on the phone with Whirlpool, HHGregg, and waiting for service appointments and my patience is getting thin. I just contacted them today 2-9-16 to inquire about my doors since it has been well over the 4 to 6 weeks Whirlpool said it should take to receive them. The Whirlpool rep on the phone had no information about the status of the doors and said that they would have to contact the service company to inquire more about the status of the doors. He also said that under special circumstances, it may take an additional two weeks for certain door orders. I once again requested a different model of refrigerator or a refund.I tried to get HHGregg to allow me to return the 2nd refrigerator just days after I received it since I was having the same issues as the original one I purchased. HHGregg said they could not since the 2nd refrigerator did not come from them. HHGregg said that they did not know why Whirlpool sent me a replacement refrigerator directly and added that normally the returns go through them. I feel like I tried to do the right thing by contacting Whirlpool for warranty work, but I feel that if I would have called HHGregg I would have been able to get a different brand refrigerator which is what I really desire after all these problems with the Whirlpool brand. I did purchase an entire Whirlpool kitchen set from HHGregg. The only problems I am having is with this refrigerator.

My complaint is basically the same as all the others. Clothes do not come clean in my brand new Whirlpool washer. Ive had two other Whirlpools, and they were fine. This one, however, is a piece of junk. One of the main problems is that the washer is designed to use only lukewarm water, even on the hot setting, it does not use hot water. Another problem is too little water. Another irritating factor is the constant locking of the lid. Another problem is the constant starting and stopping of the agitator. This cannot be good for the motor. Im at the point of giving away my new washer which Ive had for exactly one week. This is a totally inferior product, and I feel that I have been really ripped off.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator, model # ED2FHAX005, serial #SW1126490, two years ago. I have nothing but trouble with the ice maker. It keeps jamming up with frozen cube. While under warranty, I had it fixed but since then, it has happened twice more. The repairman who fixed it said there was a part missing and a part of the unit was melted. Not only that, but the plastic is coming off on the handle. Nobody at Whirlpool will help me. Too bad, there is no warranty anymore. This refrigerator is a lemon. I am so sorry that I purchased it.

I have a Whirlpool 33 inch wide Side by Side refrigerator. WRS311SDHM. This is the worst refrigerator I have ever had. Temperatures are inconsistent. It is less than a year old. Initially, I stored the big container of spring mix lettuce on the bottom shelf of the refrig as it wouldnt fit in the crisper draw. The temp setting in the refrigerator was set to ideal. Oddly though, in the freezer, ice cubes were melting and refreezing creating a massive frozen block. So, I raised the temperature in the refrigerator, but kept the freezer at coldest. However, I noticed that when I set the refrigerator to a warmer setting, ice cream became cold soup despite the coldest setting.I called Whirlpool and a service technician from Georges Appliance in New Providence, NJ came to my home (of course I had to take half a day off from work). He stuck a thermometer in the freezer and said, its working fine. While at my home he called Whirlpool who said that if lettuce isnt kept in the crisper drawer it will freeze (silly woman, dont you know that?) and ice cream will get soft in the freezer if the temp in the refridge is warmer than ideal. So, it seems I can have lettuce or ice cream, but not both. Okay, so I put the temp back to ideal, bought smaller packs of lettuce that would fit in the crisper draw and called it a day. Nope....lettuce and anything else in the crisper draw freezes too. Wilted, soggy lettuce is so nice in a salad and frozen baby carrots can break your teeth.I have been on the phone with Whirlpool executive dept several times. They offered to have another service company come out to look at the refrigerator. This repair company would not give me a 4 hr time frame until the day before the actual service call. This might be okay if you work from home or are retired, but this is not my case. I opted to not have them come. This is my last Whirlpool product. Since KitchenAid and Jenn Air are owned by Maytag/whirlpool, my other options are LG, Samsung, GE or Sub Zero.

Whirlpool Cabrio drain problem - I never had a washing machine that lets so much through to the drain pump. I replaced pump three times already. First of all, if you put anything with buttons in this machine, you can kiss it goodbye. This machine destroys clothes then lets buttons and coins and whatever through to destroy the fins on the discharge pump. When is the BBB going to do something about this consumer ripoff?

I have had a Whirlpool hot water tank now for about 7 years and all I have had out of it is trouble. It wasnt even a year old and I was putting a thermocouple in it a few months later I put another one in it. All I do is put thermocouples in it. I have saved the old ones. This heater is a piece of junk and I am the one whos paying the price for it. I just put a thermocouple in it on January 9, 2012 and I am putting another one in it on January 15, 2012. I have replaced all parts and it still does it. They are going to buy me a new one someday. I’m tired of this. This should not be happening. They are ripping people off. If the pilot light does not light, you have to replace the thermocouple in it.

My elderly parents had everything they own destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. After rebuilding their home, the new Whirlpool washing machine was broken. Whirlpool refused to disconnect and remove the machine that was obviously broken before it arrived. This is something that no one should have to go through. It is appalling and bad business. Through the kindness of friends, we had several male friends help with the removal. Truly shocking, that this is how Whirlpool handled this situation.

I love my ceramic top. My only complaint is I wish my knobs were on the front of the stove because I am short. It would be nice to not have to reach over hot burners just to turn the temp up or down.

Purchased model WRT311FZDMOO refrigerator on Aug. 6. Took 3 weeks for delivery. All 3 door bins for this refrigerator have cracked after less than 2 months. Called customer service. They say its wear and tear. And ask how many would I like to purchase. Looked online. Cost is 30.00 to 32.00 per bin. Cant put milk in the door bins. The cracks puncture the container. Poor quality plastic.

We have had this Cabrio washer/dryer pair for 8 years now. I didnt want to buy a front loader at the time since they were relatively new and was afraid to roll the dice. We saw the ads for this pair, the washer was the largest top loader at the time and didnt have the agitator (which I liked) so we bought them from Best Buy. I purchased the extended service plan (thank God) because we started having issues within the first month. First was the dryer, it was making a funny squeaking noise. We called to have it looked at and the tech said the drum was out of round. He ordered a new one and it showed up almost oblong. Returned it and got a second (same thing). We straightened it out and put it in. Two weeks later the control panel went out. Repaired it. Then the washer started. In the first 3 years of owning these we had called to repair the washer 4 times and the dryer 4 times. We could have got them replaced after the 5th call. Of course we had replaced all the faulty stuff and the pair settled down for 2 years.Now I have had to repair the washers control panel myself, the dryer sounds like it is coming apart and sometimes runs for hours, and now the washer cant wash in any cycle but delicate because the drum bangs around and cant self balance any more. What junk!!! I know people that have purchased low end machines and have had no issues for decades, maybe a random belt or something simple. I wouldnt buy another Whirlpool set if they were the last manufacturer on the planet. They should be ashamed that they didnt recall these things for all the problems they had.

Purchased the 2015 Whirlpool Cabrio. Today 5-2018, the panel went completely out. When I called the store (Lowes) they asked if I purchased the warranty. I responded no, she went on to say, “Well since you choose not to purchase the warranty youre stuck”. Even if I paid for the warranty a washer should not break down in less than 3 years. My previous washer lasted 18 years with no problems. We purchased this washer because of the larger load. It was one of the most expensive washers. It’s a piece of junk and the manufacturer will not stand by their horrible product. Please DO NOT buy! I will be filing a formal complaint.

Purchased washer and dryer in 2013. After several months I noticed small holes in my clothing. I called for service since my machines were still under warranty. There was nothing the repair service could do except make suggestions on water amount and settings. Which I tried with no improvement. I also contacted Whirlpool and was told I could call for service for several weeks since it was still under warranty. I asked why call for service when I was told it could not be fixed. I did have it serviced again and told it was a problem with the design. Numerous items of clothing were ruined which I showed the technician. He gave me a phone number to contact Whirlpool. They in turn said there was nothing they could do for me. I usually place items in laundry bags for delicate fabrics but for obvious reasons not all items fit in a bag. I have never had such terrible service nor experienced an appliance that operates so poorly. I am surprised there are not more complaints with this problem. Purchased from ABT because of their reputation for customer service.

My refrigerator was purchased in May 2014, and died in August 2015. Before it died, it produced a very loud, rattling noise for two days. Thus, the refrigerator cost me $100/month. It does seem, upon reflection, I would have been better off buying a piece of junk for $50. It would have lasted longer. Additionally, the so-called stainless steel started rusting all over the front surface, first popping up in one spot, then another. One year old, rusty and dead. Great job Whirlpool. Buy American.

I have had my Maytag (Whirlpool) Centennial Commercial machine for 10 years and it has not required any repairs or have given me any issues. I love the water level sensor that doesnt require me to select a load size. I would highly recommend the Whirlpool brand to consumers.

I bought my Whirlpool dishwasher, model #WDF560SAFMO in Nov 2016 with a 2 year extended warranty. In Jan. 2021 it quit working, was told by repairman that the dishwasher needed a new pump. Of course, it is no longer under warranty. To replace the pump will cost almost as much as a new dishwasher.

They will not honor the extended warranty on their fridge which Ive had for less than three years which will not defrost making me lose thousands in spoiled food. Extended warranties are contracts and this company should be penalized and shut down for fraud.

I love my stove and all of its features. My stove is easy to clean and I Love the self cleaning oven. I have a flat top so that helps when it comes to cleaning, not to mention it makes cooking a breeze. I love all the push buttons and how smart my stove is. I highly recommend my Whirlpool to anyone looking for a great appliance.

I have had our new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer for about a year. I absolutely hate it. I along with all the other people that is complaining about their Cabrio. I have found it to stain my clothes, not get them clean... Sometimes not even get part of them wet. I wash every load now no matter how small on the deep water option. I still have to add about 3 to 6 gals of water after it fills to try to help them get as clean as I possible can. I have stopped using fabric softener because I believe that is what may be leaving the stains on the clothes because it doesnt dilute it. Also you cant soak clothes in the washer long enough. I know it offers a presoak but when the clothes are not getting wet... That is not soaking. I tried to fill it up and raise the lid so it wouldnt wash until I was ready for it to wash but it automatically emptied the tub after a short time.It is funny watching the clothes when washing... Even I could tell they were not going to be washed well. I thought who in the world developed this washer. Certainly no one that had ever really considered what women need to wash clothes on a daily basis. I would sell it but I dont think anyone would buy it. If there is a class action suit I would consider joining in. Whirlpool could not have spent much effort in checking this washer out. A lot of money down the drain. I did not buy the dryer because of the lint vent being on top of it. What a mess those make when you have to empty it. So I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL. Now that is a wonderful dryer! As one homemaker to another I suggest you check it out. Never had one I liked more.

My front loading machine is moldy and smells terrible ALL THE TIME -- I hate this machine and will never ever buy one like this again. I spend more money on cleaner than I do on actual laundry soap.

The interior has an excellent layout and accommodates our oversized dishes. The racks operate with ease. The outside appearance is tastefully done and the noise level when in operation is very low compared to other brands we have owned. We are pleased with the overall operation of this unit and would recommend it to others.

We purchased our Duet in July 2010. It worked great until two weeks ago when the washer sounded like a 40-year-old washer. The bearing sounds like an extremely high-pitched “wrr”. We can hear it in the back of the house. I looked online to get parts and noticed that you cannot replace the bearing. You must replace the entire rear drum ($358.00). This does not include the labor. I talked with a technician, and they said the whole drum must be removed, not a one-man job, and to take the whole thing apart. Now, theres no price for installation. Lets go low ($200.00). Probably more. I cannot get a price nailed down without a visit. Now add those together ($558.00), I could put almost $600.00 into a washer that this could happen to in another 2 years. Wow.We had a washer that lasted us 15 years without any parts. Is there anything that you can do to help me? This is totally outrageous. Please help. Thank you. This was part of my chat to Whirlpool. Whirlpools response was I understand your problem but cannot help you. It is out of warranty. No help, no discount, nothing. I will and have all my friends never to purchase Whirlpool. 3 months after I got the fridge, the ice maker went out. 3 months later it started to work again. Replace the water filters 2 times per yr. It is noisy when it makes ice.

I purchased a Whirlpool hot water heater several years back with every bit of the Bells & Whistles that Lowes could bestow on it paid for and documented on the tank; Limited Lifetime Warranty and Lowes Professional Installation. It failed after several years with multiple problems. First, the bottom heating unit failed at the same time, noticing a leak from the top heating units external cover where a supporting screw had popped out, leaking down to the floor. Not only was the Whirlpool 800 number a scham of silence, with no estimated wait time and after approximately 20 minutes, a rep picks up as I could hear their legal department on an alternated line instructing and listening in, then dropping off when those crooks felt I had been placated enough to go onto to the next sucker. I have all Whirlpool Gold & KitchenAid Superba appliances in my kitchen and never thought I would be saying this but I will never purchase another Whirlpool Appliance or shop at Lowes again!

My brand new Whirlpool washing machine has been nothing but trouble from the day we first used it. We are now reaching out to try to contact the warranty department. Weve tried email and phone both and are having ZERO luck even getting a human to talk to about the problems. No response. Took forever to even find what we thought was accurate contact info. Lowes doesnt stand behind it. Now Whirlpool has a crap warranty department. We were warned and should have never bought it to start with. It is a total waste of money.

1.0 out of 5. This is the absolute worst washer that I have ever owned. Do NOT fall for the top loader hype. The clothes do not get clean. Anything black constantly comes out with a white residue and whites are dingy. Ive tried numerous detergents and used as little as a tablespoon and still get the same results. The company just insists that its too much detergent or that I need to run the clean cycle after every 4-5 loads. The service guy that came out said this is the number 1 complaint with these washers and Ive talked to plenty of friends that experience the same issue. The company would have you think this is the first time they have heard of it.I have spent hours on the phone with whirlpool and Home Depot over the past year and neither accept responsibility or offer any solution other than some free cleaning tablets from Whirlpool and Home Depot offered $200 off the purchase of another washer. This was when the washer was only 6 months old. The only way around this is to rewash the clothes and a second cycle and to wash all loads on bulk load with an extra rinse. Yep. Great water savings there! Save yourself the headache and dont buy a top loader of any brand and I would never buy another appliance of any kind from Whirlpool and Home Depot because of their poor customer service in handling this common issue.

Buy anything else. This WHIRLPOOL WITH STAINLESS INTERIOR WDF560 SERIES is the worst dishwasher Ive ever owned. Huge fail Whirlpool. MADE IN THE USA! I will never buy another thing you make again. I cant say ONE redeeming thing about this dishwasher. I hate it! It has a high temp wash, a Sani cycle & heated dry + a stainless tub. Using all of the above + having an SS tub yet everything comes out dripping wet. The cheap silverware baskets are poorly designed & positioned on the side to the back in addition to a tall tub making it difficult to access anything in them. The baskets are also cheap and poorly designed. All the spacings are the exactly the same with no proper spacing for pots, pans or larger items. These cheap racks will have a short life. Its outrageous to spend 649.00 for such an inferior product. Buy a cheap dishwasher! This thing is no better than a builder grade that looks good.

I purchased a whirlpool gold series microwave model #WMH76718AS one and a half years ago, paid $500.00 for it. It stopped heating. Everything else works on it so it looks like I paid $500.00 for a digital clock and a fancy bread box! I went online and read complaint after complaint that the same thing happened to other people. It appears that the magnetron is faulty. I called Whirlpool and asked their service rep how she would feel if she bought a microwave and after 1 1/2 years it wasnt working. She told me that it was man made and that I should EXPECT things to go wrong. She did offer to pay for parts... which did surprise me. But I have to pay for a $45.00 service call and all labor that it costs to fix it. I called the number she gave me and got a answering machine.... still waiting for them to call me back. I most likely will just throw this Whirlpool piece of junk in the garbage where it belongs. I dont want to spend hundreds of dollars to repair a lemon. I feel that Whirlpool knows there is a problem with their product... that is why they offer to pay for parts. But why should their mistake cost their customers money on top of all the inconvenience. Whirlpool does not back their products or care about their customers after they get your money. I will Never buy a whirlpool product again and that includes anything from their sister companies Maytag, Kitchenaid, Jenn-air, Amana and there are many more. So before you buy anything make sure you check to see who you are really buying it from!

This machine has had so many repairs that whirlpool should of replaced it. Now the machine is making a clicking sound when you turn it on to do a load of wash. It clicks for a few minutes then tries to sense whats in the machine then starts clicking again. Clothes come out of machine half wet. Queen sheets are dry in the middle. Water NEVER even touch the middle of the machine drum. All around nightmare with this machine. Would not buy another whirlpool because the customer service that I was given was terrible.

After 2 years the motherboard failed on my Top load Cabrio washer. We had to spend $300.00 dollars to get fixed. When we called Whirlpool to see what they would do about it, they actually offered to sell us the board for $345.00 dollars and a 1 year warranty on the board. They actually wanted us to pay more from them than a local repair service. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE OR ANY OTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS. Also does anyone know of any class action lawsuits surrounding their obvious use of defective parts?

Product: Whirlpool Gold Series, Model WRX988SIBM01: Purchased 2014 at Lowes. 2nd day after delivery, called Whirlpool, refrigerator not working properly, freezer drawer will not close, condensation on outside. Sent person that delivered the refrigerator to fix problem, freezer had frozen ice behind each drawer approximately 2 inches that would not allow drawers to close. Delivery person used hair dryer to melt ice and adjusted drawers. Still periodically have to physically remove ice build up to allow drawers in freezer to seal properly. Ice maker stopped working, makes no ice at all, ice comes from inside refrigerator not from freezer, bad design.Today woke up to freezer drawers completely thawed and had to throw away all food, panel shows temperature at -2*. All food thawed and unable to be cooked/used. Called Whirlpool could not send someone until next Tuesday (4 days). We are a family of 5 and cannot wait that long. Unfortunately have called 3 other appliance companies only to find that refrigerator has to be repaired by special technicians! This is our first Whirlpool, bought because made in America, have been very disappointed with our $2500.00 purchase. Not sure that we will ever purchase another Whirlpool product, our inclination will be to buy less expensive product and choose to replace as opposed to paying recurring service calls + parts and labor.

I took the Sears salesmans suggestion and bought a high-end quiet dishwasher. It worked wonderfully until it sprung a major leak. Computer told me the phone # to call. It took a week for the Sears repairman to come out and $79 fee to just look at it. He said the fitting between the sump and the pump came off and flooded water over the electric motor. Electric motor is shot! Cost to repair is over $400 and a 3-week wait!!! When and if a new motor is installed, only then do we know if the computer is also fried. This was a high-end dishwasher. Factory warranty just ran out. Repairman said this is a common problem with this model. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL.

Wish I had done more homework before I purchased a Cabrio washer and dryer. The washer uses so little water that I sometimes find dry spots on clothing when I take it out. How can it possibly be clean if it doesnt even get entirely wet? I now pre-rinse all of my underwear before putting it in the machine. I know the instructions say not to put in wet clothing, but if it breaks sooner, Ill get to replace it sooner with a more traditional model. I always use the lowest spin speed - anything else makes my clothes hopelessly wrinkled. I like the large tub for washing blankets and comforters. Thats about the only advantage I can think of. The dryer sensor quite often goes off after about 2 minutes if I use any setting other than the delicate or timed features. Ive had the machines for 2 years and had the dryer repaired once under the extended warranty I purchased. Very disappointing purchase.

Worst appliance of any kind that I have ever used. Has only on/off button, in effect. Wastes water. There is no option to change anything once cycle has begun. No soaking. Occasionally, the machine simply decides to stop and drain itself so that you can start all over again!! No idea how long cycle is. Nearly done? No idea. No matter what temp or how much detergent or how much water, the clothes are not clean. The lid locks and so there is no way to know whats going on. I suspect there is very little water during rinse cycle. All of the whirlpool appliances are similarly horrible. Washer is the WORST. Shame on you Made in America.

This is the only time in my life when I have seen a Microwave behave so badly (and one that is relatively expensive). The microwave is defective out of the box. Seems like there is a comWhirlpool MWA269 (4You)mon trend with Whirlpool products and cheap Chinese boards. The microwave never stops working once the timer runs out. It will just keep going. Like hundreds of others, my Whirlpool double wall ovens circuit board stopped working after 5-7 years. Accubake s-xt3704215 m-rbd275prb00 Whirlpool double oven. If it is happening to all these people, the protectors of the US consumer need to do just that!

We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer & dryer. The glass lid design is VERY POORLY constructed and should be replaced by Whirlpool. We paid over $200 the first time the lid broke and was told this is going to be a continuing problem. They were correct! We subsequently replaced the lid 2 additional times only to have the same break on the right hand side causing the lid to pop up. Something must be done and WHIRLPOOL need to care for their machinery. They should replace the lids or provide a major incentive for consumers to replace the washer. PLEASE DO SOMETHING!

We bought model WRS571CID*** which has an in-door ice maker that has stopped working after exactly 3 years. An excellent authorized service rep advised that the wire harness from the freezer to the door was damaged by chafing from normal opening and closing the freezer door, which has caused the ice maker wires to break, thereby disabling the ice maker. The only remedy is replacing entire the door, which would cost $1700 according to Whirlpools published repair data, which he is obligated to charge. Apparently, the wiring harness is not a replaceable part, because I suspect the labor hours needed to disassemble and reassemble the door is prohibitive. Well, a new fridge costs about the repair. I spoke to the Whirlpool company about whether they acknowledge that the design is faulty and that the door should be replaced at their expense even out of warranty, and they declined.So I advise prospective buyers to be aware of this issue and watch other reviews. There are many customer reviews on various sites complaining about this very issue. Our workaround is to put ice trays into the freezer to make ice, and while the dispenser still works, pour the ice thus made into the ice dispenser manually - until the wire control that also becomes damaged and stops working. I would not recommend buying this model.

I purchased a Whirlpool Gold from ABC Warehouse in Flint, MI, for $2099.00 before tax and it was delivered on 10/22/2010. Head-liner of inside of refrigerator has a crack about 3-3 1/4 inches long and the refrigerator is running more often. A repair tech came today, 10/14/2011, and did his job fine. He called Whirlpool and they stated to fix it with epoxy? The repair tech is ordering this. I called Whirlpool at 9:00 am right after the tech left at 1-800-253-1301 and spoke to Sherry. I explained everything to her in a very nice manner and she stated that according to the manual, they give us it is for repair only? I said, ok, could I please speak to her Supervisor and she said yes but it will be the same answer. I spoke to her supervisor, Lisa at 9:15 am, she came on talking about the problem and let me talk, I asked her on several occasions are you still there, and she said yes, her words were that Whirlpool only repairs nothing else for the year as per my paperwork (record). I said we dont even get this till after we purchase the item, I mentioned I had a Cabrio Washer and it was junk and had more service calls than any other machine I owned. I have a stove as well from Whirlpool it’s been good so far, I told her with service like this, and them knowing their liners are made of cost cutting saving materials as I have read enough complaints about this on the internet, that Whirlpool is eventually going under and so are the other small shops that do part work for them and their jobs will be outsourced to Japan, China, India and so on, I asked if there was another person higher up than her I could speak to and she said no, they’re not available at this time I snickered and said thats management for you. They have a customer service rep (call center complaints which is Sherry), then supervisor like you (Lisa) then some other management that dont want to talk to you. Way to go Whirlpool. I told her to document that I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance and I will definitely tell others and so on, and if we get enough folks to ban them they will leave USA or close and then Sherry and Lisa will be unemployed just like the rest of us in the good ole USA. Poor appliances for folks that can barely afford to make it and if you’re lucky and working like me and you buy something; shouldnt a refrigerator last more than this, and you stand behind your products? I also told her I know some are abused but this was not an abused product from me. It is a Whirlpool ‘cut your cost savings product’, and forgets the customer. Please look at the old appliances, I also mentioned I have an old Amana in my garage that is 17 years old runs great and never had a problem. And I gave her up for this piece of junk Whirlpool. I then told her I will write letters, emails and everything I can think of to ban this make and product. Model number of this refrigerator is GI7FVCXWBO, freezer on the bottom, fridge on top, side by side doors, solid black with ice maker. When I purchased this I bought it to last a long time as I had to finance it, and take from our monthly income. I had never had a nice fridge, but heck this is not nice. It’s a joke and the sad part is, I owe over $900.00 still and just got laid off. Thanks to the good ole USA and Michigan, but I will pay it off no matter what cause I pay my bills, and stand behind my name as a good person and citizen unlike Whirlpool. Boycott their products as they dont care about us or the American workforce. Oh, and this damage was not caused by abuse to the fridge - it was poor quality of materials in their products. Thank you for letting us complain about products! Also, it’s not like I can go out and buy another refrigerator as it took me over 18 years to get this one. Thanks WHIRPOOL for letting me down on another bad product but it will never happen again. Ive definitely learned and will teach others. I purchased a new Whirlpool 29 cubic ft. french door bottom freezer Refrigerator 11-22-2013. On 4-18-2014, I noticed water on the floor and realized my ice maker had quit working and the ice melted. I called Stantons APL. where I purchased it from and a service tech came on 4-22-2014. He checked the fridge out and after five mins said this is a model that has a known defect in it and it would have to be totally rebuilt. I then called Whirlpool and told them I want a new Refrigerator. I told them I paid for a new appliance, not a rebuilt one. The Whirlpool rep said they would need a second opinion and scheduled a different company to come out for service. This happened on 4-25-2014 which by this time I lost all my food in ref and freezer. He was there about ten mins. and said its gone out and it will have to be totally rebuilt. He calls Whirlpool tech support to help him figure out how to take out bottom door because he didnt know how. WHIRLPOOL tells the tech they want him to tear my refrigerator apart and run diag. test on it to see how it performs under certain codes. I tell Whirlpool they can run all the test they want after they replace my refrigerator and my food. The Whirlpool rep says, That aint happening. So I say, Then I need to talk to your supervisor. After going through four supervisors, I finally get to the person who reluctantly agrees to replace the refrigerator and says give her 24 to 48 hours to make it happen. 60 hours, still waiting on a response. Will let you know what happens. Shame on you Whirlpool for deceiving the public.

I purchased the refrigerator/freezer, Whirlpool model GX5SHDXVQ02, 2 years 10 months ago. It is now not keeping the refrigerator portion of the unit cold or even cool. It is 70 inside the refrigerator although the freezer portion is doing a fine job. This unit is not even 3 years old yet! To top it off, the unit only has one year warranty on any part. The repair person is now here and replacing the control board. This piece alone is costing me $184.12. Then the labor hours and service call. I should have trashed it and bought a new, different brand. Not even three years old. My last refrigerator/freezer lasted 13+ years with no problems.

We purchased 29.7 cu. ft. side by side in February 2013. Ever since we got it, there is an excessive amount of moisture that builds up in the refrigerator section. It is to the point that the bottom shelf must be dried every other day; otherwise water spills out the front. Most of the moisture forms around the cold air duct work leading in from the freezer. We placed collection containers under the duct work which helped a little. We also tried various temperature settings, still no help. We tried online support and were given many excuses for the excess moisture. Support advised to change the defrost cycle, which we did and failed to correct problem. Support finally threw up their hands and said to call for service. Unfortunately, we were advised since the unit was purchased in Florida and shipped out of the country, the warranty was void. Try and get service in the Bahamas! Ha! This will be the last Whirlpool product we will ever buy.

I have spent more money in the last year to fix this piece of crap. So very disappointed!!! I have lost $$ of food because fridge does not cool.. Ice maker is a joke... I am going to call someone out for the 4th time... Costing me a fortune... Very disgusted with this product.

Ice machine went out right after the year warranty was up. Convenient right? We called a hometown tech to come out and look at the water valve. He was unable to locate it, so we called Whirlpool service. After waiting 30 mins, they told us they cant tell us where to locate it for safety reasons, and if we wanted anything done to the refrigerator, we needed to pay a tech to come see it. EXTREMELY RUDE!!! I would NOT recommend whirlpool ANYTHING.

The Whirlpool range has worked effectively and efficiently for over ten years. We have experienced no problems. It is used several times a day to prepare meals and bake items. The cook top gas burners ignite easily, provide equal flame distribution, and the oven has an air blowing feature that makes cooking and baking much easier. One reason we chose Whirlpool was because this brands stellar performance history, its appearance, and its functionality. Overall, we could not have selected a better appliance for our use. We can unequivocally state that was and still is a solid performer for its cost.

My old GE was better. I have to clean my Whirlpools filter once a month due to hard water - was wondering why my plastic cups had a white film - that was why. I have to put the knives and forks with the points facing up. My old dishwasher I could put the silverware in any way I wanted in the silverware compartment. My old one was quiet/my whirlpool I can hear it from the bedroom????

I have owned an Accubake gas range since April 2012. The range is 3 months out of warranty, and the oven will not light... just a clicking sound and gas pouring into the oven. I have also had problems with the burners being turned on by brushing against against the knobs. I have a note by the stove to remind myself to check that the knobs are in the OFF position. My 1 year old grandson turned the burner on just by touching the knob... NO SAFETY FEATURES!!! I havent checked to see what a repair is going to cost me, but if it is several hundred dollars, I will just replace this piece of junk. It is very sad that a costly brand new appliance only comes with a one year warranty. I will never ever buy another Whirlpool appliance!!

Multiple issues with this two-year-old refrigerator. Do not buy! The exterior stainless steel doors rust in sporadic locations. According to a quick google search, it is a widely known issue that Whirlpool has not addressed. We have never used abrasive cleaners, only wipes that are made for stainless appliances. We use them on all of our stainless appliances. The fridge is the only one that now has 10+ areas of pitting rust. It continues to spread! What the heck?Secondly, the ice maker stopped working at 16 months. First it was just the auger that stopped turning. Which was inconvenient but not the end of the world. It still produced ice, but we had to open the door and pull ice out instead of having it dispensed. Now it has stopped producing ice altogether. We had the repair guy out today. Apparently, the motor for the auger and the actual ice maker are not receiving power any longer. The certified tech said it was either the main control board or bad wiring somewhere from the control board to the ice maker.For a small fortune, we can try putting in a new board. If the new board doesnt work, we will then know it is a wiring issue. If it is a wiring issue, we will have paid for a new board that was not needed, and we are out of luck completely on the wiring issue. Part of the wiring is sealed within the freezer door. A new freezer door costs nearly as much as the fridge. Part of the wiring is sealed in the back of the fridge. It is impossible to open the seal without breaking the fridge, because the back is a sealed system. But it does keep our food cold. Just dont put anything the top shelf of the fridge because it will freeze. Thanks for the 1 year warranty Whirlpool! You timed it perfectly! What a joke.

Purchased this Whirlpool refrigerator WRT771REYM at Home Depot in June 2014. Within a few months of purchase, had to call for a repair tech because the water line had frozen. Tech unfroze it and told us not to block the air vents to avoid this happening again. The amount of care we have to take to load this fridge so as not to have the water line freeze is ridiculous. Its very picky. For a while, we were still having to unfreeze the line every couple of months. Then it became more and more frequent, to the point where we cant keep it unfrozen for more than a few hours. This seems like shoddy design to me. And of course, the warranty is expired so I am out of luck unless I want to pay for repairs out of pocket.Adding insult to injury, Whirlpool claims that this isnt a common issue. Not true - there are numerous reviews about this very issue on Amazon, Sears, Home Depot, etc. Just try googling the model #. Sad that Whirlpool does not stand behind its products. Yet another American company to stop building quality and rely on planned obsolescence to ensure revenue generation.

The Whirlpool duet model wfw9150ww01 washing machine is a piece junk. After using it for two years, the bearing has gone out on it and it sounds like a freight train. It will cost $600 to repair it. We only paid $575 for it. What a rip off. Whirlpool makes junk only. Buy something else.

My washer is nearly 7 yrs. old. It has almost been a full-time spectator sport. Good thing its in the kitchen! Twists sheets so badly - on sheets setting - that it stops and I must undo the balloon its formed and rearrange the wet, heavy 2 sheets and 2 pillow cases. Now, it cant even finish the clean washer cycle without stopping. It seems it doesnt use enough water to do the job of washing items thoroughly. And it balks at heavy loads - which is what we bought this washer to do - blankets, rugs, quilts, etc. Two people, now only one, and two small dogs. I should have at least 10 years of service from that purchase. Repairman says $300+, and he sees it as a very common code. Build them to last or give up. Im disgusted with Whirlpool now.
