My elderly parents had everything they own destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. After rebuilding their home, the new Whirlpool washing machine was broken. Whirlpool refused to disconnect and remove the machine that was obviously broken before it arrived. This is something that no one should have to go through. It is appalling and bad business. Through the kindness of friends, we had several male friends help with the removal. Truly shocking, that this is how Whirlpool handled this situation.

I am completely dissatisfied with the Whirlpool Cabrio top loading machine. Our washing machine is less than one-year-old. It doesnt get the clothes clean, especially the darks, and it is so rough on the clothes that they come out twisted tied into knots. The dark clothes come out dirtier than they went into machine. Even though we use the dark detergent on the dark clothes and program for an extra rinse cycle, the clothes come out with white powder all over them. They need to be washed again and sometimes again. And sometimes they still dont come out clean. That is not very energy efficient. The clothes come out of the machine so wrinkled that everything needs to be ironed. I can imagine making washing machine that doesnt do its primary function, which is to get clothes clean. Todays families do not have time for this extra work.

I purchased my Cabrio Whirlpool washer 4 years ago and have had problems every since I bought it! Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty! The last two repair bills were over $1000 each! My warranty just ran out and I had it repaired last two months ago! This is not my first complaint! When will they start listening to consumers? This is ridiculous! Now I am faced with the problem of just trashing this washer or spending another $1000 to repair it! Something needs to be done! I am warning all of my friends and family and will post again my problems with this washer on all my social networking sights! Whirlpool needs to take responsibility for their problems! I will never purchase any Whirlpool products ever again if they do not assume responsibility!

Whirlpool Gas Range Model WFG524LAB0 - Purchased on 09/2013. Product works well but noticed back in July 2014 that cook top was not cleaning well. Did not mind it that much thinking it was just baked on grease and would just do a general cleaning when I get to it. After the holidays and now getting around to clean the range top, I discovered the cause of range top not cleaning well. The porcelain was chipping away.Today I called Whirlpool customer to complain and see what they do. They replied that it was just a cosmetic blemish and that was not covered under warranty. I told them that that cosmetic blemish lead to rusting and eventually result to failure of the product. They also said it was out of warranty but was eager to have a tech come over to check the problem out for additional fee.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio top loading machine approx 3 yrs. ago. When I first bought it, the machine was super quiet... loved it. I loved the capacity of it. About a yr ago I noticed it started making all kinds of noise, we cant have a conversation downstairs because its so loud. Turns out the bearings are broken. The technician was nice enough to explain to me that its a common problem with those machines. However, Whirlpool is not willing to stand by their product and repair it free of charge. Any other product would of been recalled and repaired. That goes for cars, baby products, and so on. But not Whirlpool, I called and spoke to Andrea in Michigan who told me that there is nothing that they are willing to do. After reading the other reviews and their terrible one star average rating it doesnt surprise me. Shame on me for not researching this product before buying. I hope this saves someone else from making the same mistake. In case your wondering, it cost me $117.00 to have the tech look at the machine. The labor would of cost $125.00 and the part is $251.00........

This is the worst washing machine Ive ever purchased. Bought 12/19. The water level never never goes up high enough, to cover the cloths. I have to add water no matter what setting. I hate that. The sensor isnt working. You arent able to adjust it yourself, its computerized. The water shuts off when you lift the lid so you cant rinse out the soap or fabric softener caps. I hate that. The lid locks when the rinse cycle starts so I have to unlock the lid to add fabric softener. Why lock the lid so soon, wait till its in spinning mode. Really really badly designed!!!! Will never buy anything by Whirlpool ever again!

If it were not for the fact that this refrigerator has a defect that Whirlpool has recognized and is replacing the unit for, I would give the unit 5 stars in all areas. I would buy another Whirlpool due largely to the companys willingness to recognize a problem and promptly take corrective action.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator model GSF26C5EXW02 from Lowes. It is a huge piece of crap that has had so many visits from the Royal Appliance guy, that we are now on a first name basis. Lowes was awesome and has actually replaced this junker twice at no cost to me and has, in fact, reimbursed me for all the food this fridge has ruined by freezing. The appliance repair guy cant seem to find a problem so I just keep getting ruined food because of this hunk of junk.

I am very disappointed in my purchase of Whirlpool High-Efficiency washer and dryer. It does not clean my clothes! I have white towels in my bathrooms, I have them for years. They have always come out perfectly white with the regular washer I had for years. Not any more! They now come out with yellow spots all over them. Dark clothes come out with a white residue on them that looks like there has been a napkin in the wash. I talked to Sears where I purchased it, they said I might be using too much detergent, so I have tried using less to no avail! I hate my washer!

Bought all Whirlpool appliances for my home and the dishwasher doesnt work right and all that they can tell me is its not even 7 months old. They dont have any repair technician around where I live so Im on my own to get it fixed. So much for getting your moneys worth.

I purchased GMH6185XVS microwave in Dec. 2011. It was installed in January 2012. This was for a remodel kitchen with all Whirlpool appliances. In August 2014, we discovered the micro would not heat. I called Whirlpool as directed by Sears. I am told I have to call a repair service and pay for it. I have a 14 year old Whirlpool in my home. We have never had a problem with it. I had a Whirlpool micro in my previous home; never a problem. This is a second home that we hardly ever use. We are two adults. My daughter had the same problem with the same microwave. I am very upset with Sears as well as Whirlpool. Even if I used this machine everyday, it should not break in 2.5 years. Shame on both Whirlpool and Sears. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again. I will be telling everyone I know.

Ive trusted Whirlpool washers for 20 yrs. Ive only had to buy 2 in my lifetime and neither have let me down. I will always purchase Whirlpool as it is a brand I can trust. Features and reliability are important to my family. Whirlpool has it all!

In August 2011, I purchased and had installed a Whirlpool Wall Oven RBS305PVQ04 for $1000+. In July 2014, the oven failed with blown internal fuses and a thermostat $225+. In November 2014, the oven failed again, this time with a failed controller board. Whirlpool claims there are no replacement parts after just three years! In calling Whirlpool customer service for help, they basically said tough luck! NO parts, NO adjustments, NO service, you own a boat anchor. I tried to buy American; boy, was that a mistake. So it cost me $415 per year to own this LEMON. DO NOT DEAL WITH THE WHIRLPOOL COMPANY!

Bought Whirlpool Gold 21.9 bottom freezer (stainless) Jan. 2013. When it was 19 mo. old I noticed the freezer door was pitting. I have the Lowes protection plan. Not their problem, door is a accessory not a part. Whirlpool said no quality issues with the material. Very disappointed Whirlpool did not stand behind a product they sell. From past posts I am glad we did not hook up the ice maker.

I am so bummed that this fridge died. It was perfect in size and function and appearance. I didnt use the ice maker. Within the first year, the temps were erratic, freezing in the fridge area at the rec. setting and too warm when I lowered it. Finally the compressor gave in at 19 months. Of course, out of warranty. HOWEVER, my credit card, VISA, added a year of warranty and is paying the full amt for replacement. Now I have no idea what to get. Every brand, American or Japanese is not made to last. I regret getting rid of my old dependable avocado fridge, thats how hard it is to feel confident to make a good next purchase. Formerly reliable names are only that, OLD NAMES WITH SHINY LOOKS AND JUNK INSIDE.

I purchased at Lowes and they say was without warranty. I have had all kinds of trouble. The pilot light was replaced in the burner easily because of recall. Now the pilot will not stay lighted unless you tap on the gas valve. Then as soon as the water temperature comes up, the burner and the pilot light go out. I went to Lowes for a new gas valve. They have one for natural gas of $58. They do not stock for propane. I have to purchase from Whirlpool which costs $228. Their comment is that it is more expensive to build another. They do not change offices any longer because of PSi difference bull crap. I purchased a Whirlpool gas stove 2 to 3 years ago and I had to purchase an LP change over kit to use it. This is nothing but a case price extortion. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again and I would advise no one else either!

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator in 2007 from a recommendation from my repairman. He told me that most refrigerators last about five years. I cant believe after five years I will have to buy another refrigerator. I know someone that has a refrigerator that is 50 years old. Cant any refrigerator makers make any appliances that last? With all the technology we have nowadays, it seems like you could. You just want the public to spend more money on repairs or a appliances. Hope you buy the product you sell! I purchased this Refrigerator Model #wrb322dmb, bottom freezer, 21cu ft. last year on July 3, 2015. In September I noticed rust spots on the top door. I called Home Depot where I purchased and they directed me to Whirlpool. I did purchase an extended warranty with Home Depot. Whirlpool did replace the top door. Thought that took care of it. Today one year and two weeks out of warranty, I again notice rust on both doors. Called Whirlpool. They said too bad out of warranty, not considering I had a previous report of this very same issue. So since I am very unsatisfied with this result and the fact that an expensive product is rusting, I decided to share to try to prevent someone getting stuck. Stainless steel is not supposed to rust which leads me to believe that it is not Stainless steel, but a Stainless Steel finish and not a very good one. So I am stuck with a rusting $1200.00 refrigerator only after one year. I have always purchased Whirlpool, but no more. They lost a 40-year customer. I have always bought American made but no wonder people are not buying American made any longer. TO SUM IT UP WHIRLPOOL STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES RUST! DO NOT BUY!

Within 5 years, this is my experience: A broken brand new Whirlpool fridge after 6 months of purchase; a broken oven that needed repair after 1 year, and today, the oven door just shattered in pieces after I heard a loud noise from the kitchen, almost injured the kids. And guess what, I just returned a new Tilt-Head Stand Mixer KitchenAid that wouldnt stay in place; the head keeps on tilting and would not stay locked. After being on hold on the phone for almost 3 weeks for a return, I found out it was a Whirlpool brand family. This is horrible, I would suggest to never buy the Whirlpool brand; their products are a real nightmare and their customer service is not reliable. If you do buy from them, expect unreliable products and very long long wait periods on the phone.

I cant even tell you how disappointed I am. This washer has destroyed my clothes and towels. Ive tried to reach out to company but they want me to call for service. What would I call for? Washer works, it just makes holes in clothes, in towels. There are so many complaints about this. If anyone know how to begin a process like this, please let me know. I bought all new Whirlpool appliances for my house. After three years, the dishwasher is now broken and the washing machine is now broken as well. The refrigerator has had service two times in the past three years. The only thing that works is the stove that I bought. Whirlpool is all junk.

Because the lid was not thoroughly covered, painted and sealed, it began to rust within first year. When I contacted Whirlpool about this - they were not only rude, but will not support quality issues with their products. They basically said they did not care and even acted like a consumer should expect such things! Actually said because its subjected to high moisture levels. WRONG, I do NOT just expect rust. It only formed due to poor quality paint job and was not cured correctly. My Kenmore washer and dryer both, were 25 years old and had zero rust and still functioned when I replaced them with these Whirlpool. Its frustrating that there are no quality, American made products anymore.

This piece of junk just broke down not even one year after the purchase. Every singe Whirlpool washing machine has broken one way or another. This one will set the wash time for 57 minutes, and exactly 24 minutes left in the cycler, you hear this big crash and then everything stops. Another dumb thing about this piece of crap is that when the problem happens, the POS keeps the lid locked so that you cant tell what the problem is. What morons would put a lock on the lid? Its not like someones going to take a jacuzzi bath!Restarted the POS again, and exactly 24 minutes left on the wash cycle, there was another crash. Both times, exactly 24 minutes. NEVER BUY FROM WHIRLPOOL!

We purchased it from Best Buy. It was a good thing we got the extended warranty. They completely rebuilt it two times. In the 6 years we have had the washer. The motherboard went out. The bearings went out. The only thing nice I can say is that it’s a top loader and doesn’t get smelly like the front loaders do.

It is a double oven. Temp varies too much. The oven is very inconsistent. Cooking Thanksgiving the temperature would not stay even. It took much longer than intended. It was quite frustrating. I would not recommend the Whirlpool double oven.

Moved into a house with a 2009 Gold Series Dishwasher model GU2475XTVY0. It has never worked since we moved in 3 years ago, always left dishes musty and poorly cleaned. We basically used it as a rinse/dry and pre-washed everything by hand. Even then it would mold up frequently and required manual cleaning. Total piece of junk, but looked really nice, stainless finish. Yeah.Latest chapter is it completely stopped working. Called a tech out for the usual $80+. His advice: this is a total lemon, and has been from the start. Not worth repairing. So Whirlpool, is this the standard you have now? 5-6 years for a dishwasher life cycle? Noted that my fridge is a matching 2009 Gold series, it has also had several problems with keeping a steady temp and has gone through 2 control boards at a hefty fee each. I guess Im done with Whirlpool, running out of appliance brands to blacklist here...

11 months after purchasing my Whirlpool 40 Gal Gas Water Heater N40T61-343 I woke to cold water one morning and found the LED flashing 4 times - high temperature shutdown. Unable to find any reset I called Whirlpool and after a couple questions, was sent a replacement control unit. Happily it arrived 2 days later. I was told then that it was because I had residue in the tank. I had no idea how he determined that because none of his questions even touched on that. Anyway, I had hot water.Nearly a year later now to the day and again I have no hot water. This time the pilot burns very weakly when I try to light it and then goes out. After three attempts I get 7 flashes on the LED - Gas Control Valve Failure, part of the same unit I replaced a year ago. Am calling tomorrow since its too late to go through any tech support steps over the phone that Im reading about on this site and seeing on Youtube. Honestly, I didnt replace the last heater because I had nothing better to do than replace parts on this one annually. No, I will not purchase another Whirlpool unit especially after reading all of the similar if not identical issues others are having.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator side by-side model #ED2PHEXMQ00, made in 01/04. As I was letting my dog out at 4 am, I heard a sizzling noise and I immediately smelled an electrical burning odor. I lost all of my food, but thankfully I caught it before it caused a fire. Had this happened during the day, I would have lost my 3 dogs and my home. I had to borrow a mini fridge for the time being because I dont have the money for the repairs or replacement. Since this is an ongoing problem, Im not sure replacing the part will make me feel confident in trusting that it wont happen again. I may not be as lucky to be standing next to it if it does happen again. Whether its under warranty or not, Whirlpool should take responsibility and issue a recall and replace the parts. I would never suggest buying a Whirlpool product in the future.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Model WTW7340XW0 type 580 Serial C02770464 and a Whirlpool Cabrio Dryer Model WED7300XW0 Type DSSA-ELE-2406026-EL54 Ser M02717021 in 2010 for over $1,700. Included was a 3-yr anything goes wrong, well replace for free warranty. A month after the purchase, we lost our home and were forced to move. We put the new appliances in storage and they have been there ever since. From the day we purchased the washer, we never got a clean wash out of it. It seemed it used about a teaspoon of water. Clothes were never clean... We had many other problems at the time and both washer and dryer were put into storage.Today, the warranty has long expired and I happened to check on the ConsumerAffairs site to see if there were any comments regarding whirlpool Cabrio washers... WOW! 1600 negative comments and not one positive. Later, I realize we made a $1700 mistake. My question is do I have any recourse? Please advise.

I have had a lot of washing machines in my life and trusted that Whirlpool would have good products. Well, with this top-loader, I couldnt be more wrong! I have never had a machine that just sloshes clothes around - at best - leaving them just as dirty! Our water bill has greatly increased on top of that - I AM SO VERY DISAPPOINTED! Unfortunately I cant return the bad merchandise since I bought at a Scratch and Dent store (just a dent on the outside does not interfere with performance...).

The capacity is small but it does a good job of washing and drying the dishes. I always check to make sure that all dishes are washed including silverware and they are. My dishwasher is quite old but it is still sufficient for our use.

I purchased a Household refrigerator Model WRF535SMBM00 on November 2013 at Home Depot which was not used but until June 2014. Awaiting finishing details on new house closing. The first year in use, I started having problems with freezer frosting, light not working, seemed like the ice produced in it, burned the light bulb. Prior to that sometimes it worked, sometimes it didnt. I started to think that it had burned, changed the light bulb. It didnt worked. After 2 months, all of a sudden the light worked, but the ice maker stopped working. What would be the suggestion to fix it, may I asked. This is very disappointing. You have a new house, and new appliances and they just dont work. And we are expected to pay for the repair! I dont think so.

I purchased Whirlpool Washer WTW4815EW on December 29, 2015 for my tenants apartment and by October 7, 2016 it was not working. I called Whirlpool for service since the product is under warranty. The closest appointment was more than 2 weeks out. On the appointment date the technician called me and said he was on his way to my house which is more than 30 miles from my tenants apartment. The technician said he could not service the tenant area as that was a different group, so we rescheduled for a week later. A week later no one shows up, so I rescheduled yet again for November 3rd and drove myself to wait for the service person who was supposed to be there between 8 am to 12 PM. At 11:40 I saw there was a 10:36 am Whirlpool attempt to call me but no message was left. When I called back they told me the technician called in sick and they called at 7:30 (my iPhone indicated 10:36 am). Now they say someone will come on Saturday November 5th. It will be one month on November 8th with no working washer. While it is bad enough the washer stopped working in less than one year their service support is even worse than the product.

We have ALL Whirlpool appliances in our home. This was our second home so we were not here to use these for a long time. We were preparing our other home and our parents home to sell. Our French door refrigerator is almost 2 years old and we live here now. My husband opened the icemaker door to see why we dont have ice. There was a wire in there. We called the local Whirlpool authorized service man and he said the wire is not hanging down to connect it. He tried to channel a new wire and said it must be crooked in there, he cant get through the insulation (no channel). He asked us if anyone had ever worked on it. We bought it brand new. Home Depot delivered, unboxed and set up. He said we need a new door. Whirlpool will not stand behind this! I am so disappointed! I thought I was doing the right thing. Good name, made in the USA. I was wrong! I definitely do NOT recommend Whirlpool!! I am so sorry that I spent so much money on 3 homes of Whirlpool appliances!!

I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine from PC Richards in Lake Grove 15 months ago. I paid $590.00. I had to call PC Richards back because it sounded like the machine was not spinning right. The servicemen came back and said nothing was wrong. It was supposed to sound like that. Now the machine stopped draining and spinning. I went to the store and they handed me customer service numbers and said they could not help me. I contacted Whirlpool online and received a phone call from a woman that gave me a lesson on how to load the machine and put soap in it! She was a very polite woman, but, gee, that didn’t solve my problem.After 4 days I was able to get through by phone and was told to call service. I contacted Mahler Appliance. He looked at it and said he couldn’t fix it and took a check for $81.47. He told me to call Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool again and got their service people. The gentleman came and could not figure out what was wrong. He tried a few things and said it was probably the main board. He said to call Whirlpool, but they most likely won’t give me back my money. He could charge me $460.00 for a new board per his supervisor. I just paid $590.00 for the machine and another $87.00 to some guy who took advantage. He left with an $87.00 check and I still have a broken washer. He did tighten up a loose wire he said he found and told me to try it and good luck. So I tried it. I put clothes in and turned it on.I came back about 20 minutes later to see if it continued to run and I slipped and fell on the ceramic floor because water drained out from somewhere and went all over my floor. I have injured my back and elbow from hitting the hard floor. I also have water all over the place and finally a very broken defective washer. I am angry. I hurt myself and have spent close to $1000.00 and I still have no working washer and no way to buy another one. The washer is 15 months old. That’s brand new to me. There was obviously a problem from the beginning. Whirlpool has always had a quality name for years. I would hope that they would stand by their product and fix my washer for me. It is obviously defective.

The wife and I are retired and when it came time to purchase a new washer, we thought we would spend the money and buy top of the line so it would possibly outlast us. So we went to Lowes and spent $1000.00 plus on a Cabrio. Within the first year, the control board went bad, replaced under warranty, now no matter how little or much of a load the wife puts in this piece of crap, it goes off balance!!!Of course as previously stated, customer service doesnt give a crap because we also saw no need for an extended warranty having made such a large investment in a washing machine that we thought was built with a high standard of quality, SHAME ON US, SHAME ON YOU, WHIRLPOOL!!! You have lost a customer who has been buying your products for a long time but will never buy another and will be warning everyone we can to do the same.

The 2 rear steel rack supports were flaming/sparking. I was told by Whirlpool over the phone that this might have been a recalled item, but they would send a technician to check. The technician said it was a build-up of grease and that I should not have used the rack and not to use the rack at all in the future. However, I do not use the microwave often enough to get a build-up of grease and it is cleaned thoroughly. This is a Whirlpool-manufactured product. Why would it be unsafe and why can I not ever use the rack again? If this was a hazard, why has it not been recalled?The technician removed the rack and sprayed a white substance on the support, and I was charged $138.03 for this and left with a partially, unusable appliance. I would like this to be replaced, so that I can use 100% of my microwave or be reimbursed for this expense. Please explain. Thank you.

Weve had this Whirlpool 5000DW1 machine since June 2017. Never fills with enough water no matter what cycle you pick! Clothes come out with DRY areas on them! Obviously not clean. Who would design a washer that you put soap in and clothes right on top of that! Seriously, how ridiculous. I will forfeit the money spend on this junk if its possible to find something built today that cleans clothes.

I purchased a Whirlpool Duet HE front end loading washing machine. Less than two years after purchase, the machines tub and bearings failed amounting to a repair bill of $1035.00. Fortunately for me, or so I thought, I purchased an extended warranty for the machine. However, even though the complaint department was aware of the failure, the amount of the repair and the fact that I declined repair and was opting for the $500 reimbursement option, I was told that the claim, as it was called, would take 2-3 business days to process and if I was awarded (his words) the reimbursement, I could only use this money on a new machine at a Sears store and not on any new, but previous year model, or at a Sears outlet. None of these things were related to me when they took my $214.00 for the warranty. In all, my original washing machine of 22 months will have cost me $1414.00. My new washing machine, if awarded one, will cost approximately $400. The total cost to wash clothes for 10 months will exceed $1,800.00. Do not purchase Whirlpool front end loaders because the drum bearings will break (that is why they exclude them from extended warranties) and do not buy extended warranties as Sears makes out in the end.

We purchased Whirlpool Gold Accubake, double ovens (gas) in 2005. Since then, we have experienced identical failures (8 to date) during the self-cleaning cycle in which the high temperature burns out the thermal fuse of the ovens. This requires two Sears technicians to repair the unit (it requires two technicians to pull the oven out as the fuse location is in the back of the unit) and leaves us without use of both ovens for approximately 2 weeks (scheduling parts delivery and technicians through Sears home repair is not an expedient process).After checking other consumer product websites, it has become clear to me that there is a known design defect with these ovens in which the thermal fuse is not adequately insulated from the high temperatures during self clean; it therefore trips and burns out during the self-clean cycle. While not having access to ovens for about two weeks/year on average may sound acceptable to Sears, the reality is that the problem has escalated in frequency since purchase. In 2013, we are going on our third repair of the same problem (that makes 6 weeks of non-usable oven time in one year) and Sears will not consider replacing the unit, despite: 1) our obvious dissatisfaction with a lemon unit, 2) a well documented history of the defect with this particular Whirlpool oven and 3) an ongoing and escalating repair cost to Sears (it is under their extended warranty so the repair cost is on them although we did pay for this service up front on our appliances).I would stay away from not only Whirlpool appliances but also Sears as there doesnt seem to be any regard for the customer experience and taking care of a product problem (the right way) with a known defect. Sears has an opportunity to make this problem go away quite easily and retain a customer - fix the problem permanently or just replace the defective unit. Unfortunately, my experience to date with Sears standing behind the products they sell provides me with little confidence that either will happen.

Over the course of the 9 years that I had this hot water heater, I had to have the smart control box on top of the water heater replaced 3 times for burning up. The wires in the smart control box literally burned up and melted together. I am thankful that I was home each time it occurred, because if I had been at work when it burned up and not able to shut off breaker to it, as I did every time this happened, my home may have burned down because of it. I did just get Whirlpool to replace this hot water heater with a brand new one. However I have now paid installation costs twice. Thats not right. I had to pay a plumbing company $725.00 today to just install this new one. I bought the highest priced hot water heater that was also considered top of the line 9 years ago. I did this because Whirlpool is a reputable company and it came with a lifetime warranty. This doesnt make me happy and satisfied though when I have had to pay to have it installed twice. The installation costs more than the price of the brand new hot water heater! I also called around and did my homework first. The company that installed it was actually the lowest price of all of them.

This product is not even worth 1 star mark. Like everyone else the Whirlpool Cabrio top loader does not clean clothes well. It leaves streaks of dirt and lint. It does not agitate well at all and does not put enough water to the point where some of the clothes dont even get wet. I had a repair guy that was selected by the warranty company to come fix it and we were told that this is a problem with the machine and there is no fix to it. I am now stuck with a $500.00 machine that doesnt clean clothes. Hopefully Whirlpool will have so many complaints they will at least find a fix to this machine. In the meantime dont waste your money like I did.

It’s the same thing as all other reviews. The Duet washer’s eating my clothes and shaking violently, even with small loads. Forget a service call from Whirlpool - they say nothing’s wrong and I have to pay for the call. The service guy talked to me like I have never done laundry before. This is my third Whirlpool and my last. The first two were great, but the new Duet is a nightmare. Buy Samsung or LG because the Sears brands are made by Whirlpool and they are just as bad from all reviews I have read.

We bought this microwave/hood combo at Home Depot and installed it in our second home roughly 16 months ago. We used it very little over that period because the home is only for vacations. The plastic handle began to disintegrate where it connects to the door (top and bottom) to the point where there is very little plastic remaining. We called the service center and the woman attending to us told us she had never heard of that happening before. Either she had just started working there that day, or she was lying because there are dozens of similar complaints on this very website.I do not understand what is to gain by denying a manufacturing defect. It simply makes no sense to me that a company would allow their reputation be so tarnished. What an ignorant and short-sighted business practice. I will never, ever buy another product from this company. I will also be sure to tell anyone who will listen what I think of the shabby service they gave us.

This is the worst washer/dryer I have ever had. It is so damn loud that the neighbors can hear it. Water level is too low. Today the dial is making a buzzing sound. I have to re-rinse the clothes. It does not spin enough, have to re-spin again. What kind of energy saver is this, NONE. They said thats the way the machine is, loud, thats bull. No machine should be like that. I threw money away when I bought that piece of (you know what). Dont buy this machine. Consumer Affairs, you should pursue this product with Whirlpool and have them do something about it. They do absolutely NOTHING.

You have to take into account that this microwave doesn’t heat up as others I’ve had so even if the instructions call for something to be cooked for 5 minutes, you have to add at least 2 minutes more. If not it would be undercooked.

Our Whirlpool refrigerator was delivered July 27th, 2013 after waiting 6 weeks for it. I was getting something off the top shelf (side by side refrigerator) when a 2-liter plastic bottle fell and put a hole in the bottom shelf where it sticks out under the vegetable tray. I have had grandkids sometimes stand on that shelf of our other refrigerators without ever doing any damage to it. It makes me nervous of dropping something else. I would like to send a complaint directly to Whirlpool but dont know how to reach them.

Bought this 18 cu ft refrigerator this year. Only 3 choices for temp. Everything freezes, milk has crystals, ice cream is soft. Buyers remorse! Old ref was a Whirlpool. Wished I would have given others a chance.

Whirlpool Du1100xtpb3 dishwasher: The spring on the latch keeps coming off (3 times in two months). The service repair man charged me for replacing the latch when all that was wrong with it was the spring. That being said, now we are fixing it ourselves. For your information, there is a paper in the bottom of the dishwasher that tells you what is wrong by how the lights are flashing. So each time we replace the spring, we have to reprogram it by pushing a sequence of buttons. Still, I cant figure why the spring wont stay on. Help me if you can.

I purchased a Whirlpool WFW9050XW washer in Aug 2011. I have had nothing but problems. Sears sent repair tech 2x; it would work for a couple months and stop. Whirlpool has sent new motor, tub, switches, etc. I feel I bought a lemon and I want Whirlpool to replace the machine.

I purchased a Top load Whirlpool washing machine, replacing my old Whirlpool. I am so unhappy with this new one. I noticed that the water level are low...I had the tech here twice and they said that if here isnt any lights on the dash that the machine is working. I called the head tech, same answer. When I put the clothes in the washer I make sure that the clothes are evenly placed in the tub. The clothes comes out tangled and some not clean. Tonight I noticed that a pair of pant at the bottom of the load had white smudges/ I am so unhappy with this piece of junk/ I cant afford to buy another washer, so I am stuck with this.. I have tried all the different controls, still bad. I know the new machine are different than the old ones. I still believe that the water levels controls are not working. I have used my sister new washers and the clothes are not tangled and they are all clean.

I have used Whirlpool products for over 30 yrs. This is the worst made product I have ever purchased. The ice maker doesnt produce very much ice. The cold water on door isnt cold. There is too much wasted space in freezer and refrig. side. You cannot get anyone to call you back to call for help. I contacted Whirlpool over a month ago. No return call yet. Consumers beware!! A couple of years ago I replaced my Whirlpool gas range because after seven years, the house was growing a gas smell that was becoming stronger. I called the gas company and they determined that it was the oven and not their problem. I called an appliance person who could not find the leak but charged me for the service call. Before I had him leave though, I called the gas company back and had the two talk. There was a conflict with their assessments. The service guy left frustrated. The gas company guy came back and again checked and told me that the oven is definitely leaking. He told me they use instruments, not soap, to determine leaks. With this, I was mad at the appliance company. After voicing my frustration, they were going to allow me to purchase a similar new Whirlpool freestanding gas range at a discount and deliver it for free. I relented and spent close to $600 for the new range. After installation, I realized that the quality was cheaper than my old one. The metal rods in the oven racks are thinner and less of them so they are further apart. The cooktop grates are already wearing and chipping. But the thing that has irked me the most is the burners. You cant adjust them to low for a long simmer because the flame goes out, not immediately, but when youre not around to watch it; and the whole house smells of gas fumes! I called the appliance store and they said that because I didnt buy an extended warranty and that a year has already passed, I would have to pay for the service charge. I called Whirlpool and they said that they have not encountered this problem with their stoves yet. Even while on the phone, I could turn every burner on separately and the flame would go out in a circular motion as I turned the knob to low. The only suggestion they had was to call my appliance company and have them look at it. I got nowhere and I was quite frustrated! These Whirlpool stoves should be recalled! Gas leaks are dangerous! I will never buy a Whirlpool again!

I had owned another Whirlpool Washer before, which died. I purchased this one. It was noisy and unreliable. Whereas the previous one lasted for 10 years, this one stopped working in less than 6. I went out and replaced it with a GE instead.

This aqua clean is garbage. Had Whirlpool with heat clean perfect. Now have to clean my oven with self cleaning over easy off. I am so disappointed. I always thought of Whirlpool as a good choice. And have bought Whirlpool before. But not after this. Bad, real bad.

We have had this washer for a year and the longest it has run before breaking down is 3 weeks. Since it takes longer than that to get a repairman out to look at it and another 2 to 4 weeks to get parts, it has run less than half of the time we have owned it. This thing is a hunk of junk. Dont ever consider purchasing one of these lemons.

A couple years ago we purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio WTW8000 top-load, high-capacity, washing machine based upon good claims of the salesman at Lowes - Appliance Dept. This was not an inexpensive machine. However, this washing machine failed to live up to representations and performance is poor. However, biggest complaint is that clothes are able to get stuck between drum and the unique agitating device which results in holes and tears in material. This is a significant design flaw and were not sure why more people dont complain about this rather significant design flaw. Of course, there are other shortcomings... but destruction of clothes is a serious problem. While this machine is in excellent condition, it will be replaced with a more traditional washing machine with vertical agitator ASAP.

Purchased this dishwasher in January 2012, and it stopped working in May 2015. We replaced thermal fuse a year ago and just had to replace the control panel. It worked for 1 day and through 2 wash cycles, but during the 3rd wash cycle, it failed to drain and no power again, which is the same problem we had before. We opted to also replace the control board, just to be safe. Lol. What a piece of junk! Whirlpool is a pathetic excuse for a company, and, judging from others experiences with the customer service department, we will not bother contacting these ** since they clearly have no interest in providing any service at all to their customers. I have had many other lower end dishwasher models, and all of them worked well past the 5 - 10 year mark and never stopped working or required any service. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER APPLIANCE FROM WHIRLPOOL AND HAVE SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE I KNOW. Good luck, Whirlpool. I do not expect they will be around in 10 years. Lol. Purchased over range microwave WMH31017AW-2 from Best Buy Mar. 12, 2015 and after installing it noticed code Door appeared and that there also was a dent on side. They replaced on Mar. 19 and we had the same Door code problem. Called Whirlpool and they sent out a Tucson repair tech and he ended up coming out at least six times changing 3 switches, 2 cams, 2 brackets, control board, and line filter. Still had problems and Whirlpool requested he call their tech and he did and they told him to make the same changes and he told them he already did all that and there still was a problem. Then Whirlpool told him to switch some wires on control board which did not solve anything. Then second thing they told him was to file and clean door brackets which also did not solve the problem. We called back to Whirlpool to tell them we did not want this defective microwave any longer as all these repair trips were not solving anything. They wouldnt give us a answer right then and said they would call us back 24 to 48 hrs and we are still waiting. We will never recommend Whirlpool to anyone nor ever buy from them again.

Just bought this washer, its making a lot of noise, sounds like something is grinding (metal, gears, etc). I thought Whirlpool was suppose to be good. I just had my Maytag go out after 18 years of service, thought about getting another Maytag but found out Whirlpool makes those. As many complaint as I see, seems there needs to be a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool for shoddy work.

We have had this Whirlpool washer duet 5 years. It regularly rips shirts, underwear, socks, and sweatshirts. Jeans or heavy denim are safe but polos, hanes, or flannel are not. We have been putting our clothes into laundry bags and lingerie bags for a couple of years now to wash safely. Additionally it leaks out the front door. We clean it regularly and it still has mold growing on the rubber gasket - we do prop the door open also. All in all it is a terrible dryer. My previous Maytag was fabulous. I will never buy a Whirlpool again!

Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator from Best Buy a yr 1/2 ago. Went wrong from delivery and never stopped! There isnt enough room here to specify so Ill try to synopsis this. They screwed up delivery date and then time. Fridge was unbalanced, doors wouldnt close delivery guys didnt know what to do. Tried to fix it and then call their office and were put on hold for over 30 mins. And the Rep was unhelpful and rude to me and then the delivery guys finally got door shut on freezer but Ice maker wouldnt work so they said they would have to have someone Whirlpool to fix it after them talking and being on hold again with their Rep. They were upset and late and felt sorry for me and told me Confidentially That this was not uncommon and they would do what they could to help me.It took many calls, people and conversations (subsequently I found dents, drawers cracked, cracks in back wall) for them to get someone here. When they did the guy was rude and acted like a pre-programmed robot. He said, Show me whats wrong and I did. He stood there and just stared at me and said, I dont see anything wrong. I was shocked! I said, You mean thats supposed to shower the kitchen with crushed ice, etc? He said YES! I said, Ok, please leave my home. I will contact Whirlpool and Best Buy Again. I did and it went on and on and on and to this day theyve done nothing. I have copious notes, dates, names etc. I have also heard many other complaints about both companies and will never do business with either again and will tell anyone and everyone I meet.

We have had a Whirlpool Refrigerator since 2004. We have only had minor issues with the ice maker within the last 3 years. We have had no major problems with this refrigerator. The other minor problems have been the quality of the drawers. After 15 years the plastic started to crack on them.

May 16 - July 25, 2014. Took almost nine weeks to get the replacement. Numerous service calls. Their tech said self-clean feature should never be used. In addition, I heard that the techs are only paid for one service call, no matter how many times they come. And, they cant fix this oven. It has to be replaced. Nightmare and very dangerous. Most American families cannot wait nine weeks for a new oven to be fixed/replaced.

I have had my washer & dryer about 12 yrs. It has given me great service; however the spin mechanism on the washer stopped one month ago. It was replaced thru my home appliance warranty. I need the front loader style because Im disabled now, and cant take clothes out of washer. My previous set was Kenmore & it lasted 20 years. Looking to purchase in 2 months.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator in Aug. 2012. On Mar. 4th, 2013, the repairman said the compressor was no good. They will not give us a new refrigerator but will put a new compressor in. What a bunch of crap. I will never buy Whirlpool again. I have had two GEs and never had this happen.

Ice maker will freeze up every couple of week. I cleaned it all out last Saturday and today, Friday, it was frozen up again.

I bought a refrigerator from Lowe’s and the refrigerator had a lot of manufacturing defects. I called Whirlpool and 3 techs were sent to my house. After the last tech, Whirlpool decided to exchange the refrigerator. Since then, Whirlpool has been playing games with me.

I have read the reviews and agree with all negative comments. There is no point in investing in a high efficiency machine when I have to rewash many dark items several times in spite of always adding the extra rinse cycle. The clothes appear cleaner if I do not add liquid fabric softener, but as I prefer to use my clothes line when possible, I am unable to use fabric softener. Also, although it is supposed to be a high capacity machine, I only fill the tub about one third of its capacity, hoping this will increase the cleanliness of your clothes. It doesnt seem to help.I have contacted Whirlpool several times and the final suggestion was that pay for a technicians visit, approx. $100, plus extra for repairs. I have decided not to throw good money after bad and to buy another brand of washer. This is the WORST appliance I have ever owned even though it is supposedly high-end. PLEASE do not buy a Whirlpool appliance. If the Cabrio washing machine is an indication of the quality of their appliances, you will be wasting your money.

The washing machine is so loud when it is on, drowning out conversations esp when cooking or eating (it’s located in the kitchen). The machine tumbler has to be constantly readjusted no matter the size of the wash or how many times my husband or myself adjust the tumbler; consequently the washing machine is always dancing, making a horrible banging noise. The washer is under 6 years old. With that said, when you open it, the lip is all rusted out.

Whirlpool Refrigerator: Model # WRT111SFDW - We bought this frost-free frig. in Feb of 2016 and this Feb. before the year was up, it started freezing up. I called the Co. and they sent a young man to my house to fix it and he thought he had. Well 2 wks after that it started freezing again and I called the Co. again and the same thing happened again and this was after my warranty had expired. Well then this young man came out and replaced the fan and a heating rod I believe to help it to stop freezing. Well 2 days ago it started freezing up once again. Im disabled and live on a fix income so now Ive got to figure out to get me another frig. And it WILL NOT BE A WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR. But kudos to the Co. and the young man for trying to fix it even though it took 3XS and still not working.

I chose a Kitchen Aid Stainless Steel, Counter Depth Refrigerator from Lowe’s in early February, 2018. (Model #KRFC300ESS) At the time KA was recommended as the best choice. 1) Within a month there were numerous rust stains on the French door and that needed to be replaced and 2) There is the Damper Control unit which makes a intolerable noise until you replace this motor. This noise then returns....about every three months. Plan on paying just under $200 every year for the life of the refrigerator (at average of 14 years= $2,800!). We have had servicemen to our home now 4 times since our 2/7/18 delivery. A local retailer just rated Appliance Brands in 2020 for reliability and the amount of times serviced and found Kitchen Aid to be 10 of the 10 listed. My recommendation would be to try another brand. This one creates a money pit. :(

Whirlpool is a very good company and their products work very efficiently! If I had a choice to choose in a different type of washing machine I don’t think I could choose. Whirlpool is very reliable. Their older machines as well as their newer machines! They last pretty long. The dryer is dry very well as well as the washing machines agitate your clothes to get them clean.

Whirlpool corporation is one of the worst company Im dealing with, we bought a new home and had new Whirlpool appliance incorrectly installed in Sept 2018, I raised a ticket in Oct 2018 for my dishwasher which doesnt open properly, flamingo services in Atlanta came and unplugged dishwasher saying its not installed properly. I wait for more than 30 days for parts to arrive and my dishwasher to be fixed. Called Whirlpool/Flamingo. Both dont give confirmation as to when the parts will arrive (note they havent been shipped by distributor). Wow seriously??? Please Im already facing inconvenience since more than month on a brand New appliance. They say no compensation no replacement. Only I will have to wait indefinite time for dishwasher to be shipped and repaired. So much of inconvenience and customer service says she will not call me back and I will have to follow up? I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio washer and it has been nothing but a headache. The machine constantly rips our clothes and stretches them beyond repair. Now, the washer keeps showing an F1 error code and I have to restart the machine three times to get it to start. It also stops in the middle of the cycle and I have to restart it. What a piece of garbage! I called Whirlpool several times and they do not stand behind their products. Do not buy Whirlpool. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General and I suggest anyone else having the same problems should do so. Maybe we can get this machine recalled.

Whirlpool provides free replacement parts to repair this design problem but wont pay the service charges to repair their design problem. I purchased a KitchenAid french door style refrigerator (KBFS25EWMS10, SN K31902118) and it leaks water on the kitchen floor. At first I just mopped it up but later discovered they have a design problem in their drain system and water backs up into the freezer dept and eventually on to the floor. Customer Service provides free improved replacement parts for this design problem but wont pay the service charges to have the parts replaced. Simply put, Whirlpool/KitchenAid do not stand behind their product quality, instead they pass the problem and service charge cost for their design problem on to the consumer. Beware of this appliance supplier!

2 years ago, we remodeled our kitchen. We replaced with all Whirlpool appliances. WHAT A MISTAKE! Our ice maker went crazy 1 month ago and now our dishwasher almost caught fire Memorial Day weekend while we were away! Thermal Fuse and stainless interior prevented us from losing our house to fire but really Whirlpool, you spend that kind of money and all appliances are breaking before theyre even 3 yrs old! My husband is very good at fixing things but when he diagnosed dishwasher, he said he has to find a way to fix wires in control panel because melted insulation. Now I am afraid of it. So if you purchase Whirlpool, expect maybe 2.5 to 3 yrs service and think of them like a disposable lighter, use it and throw away.

Worst purchase I have ever made. When I purchased this Cabrio washer in 2015, I didnt find bad reviews but how I wish I had. This washer does not clean clothes well. It has caused holes in clothing and towels. Often all the load wont even be damp even if using the deep water feature. The wash loads rarely fill more than couple of inches. Clothes come out twisted and terribly wrinkled. Sheets and blankets will be half dry and unclean. TERRIBLE APPLIANCE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Now I am stuck with a high priced washer I wouldnt even feel good about giving away. WONT FILL. RUINS CLOTHES. TANGLES LOADS. DOESNT CLEAN. DOESNT RINSE PROPERLY. DO NOT BUY!

First the ice maker stopped making ice and then the freezer stopped freezing. The unit is 2 1/2 years old. Whirlpool wants $1800 to repair! No Way. Purchased a Samsung and hope I do better with this one. So little to be praised about this American brand.

Oven was purchased new from Home Depot. Right off, the top black glass surface got scratched. Not sure how it happened. Seems to scratch easily. Then, the oven temperature for baking was found to not hold consistent. While pre-heating the oven for 350 F, the temperature goes up to 375 F, then well into the baking time, can drop to 100 degrees less (275 F). Oven feature is called accu bake. It ruined the baking and seems to be anything but.

My Whirlpool dishwasher is only 2.5 years old. The first 1.5 years we were not full time in the house, so the dishwasher has not been used much. The touch pad went bad already and it was $450 to fix. Whirlpool sent me an email after I vented and it was a cookie cutter reply. They dont care that the appliance was manufactured with a faulty pad. We never buy service agreements because we feel an expensive item like this should last the term of service agreement if made correctly. No more Whirlpool purchases for us!

I just bought a new dishwasher because my 5-year-old one went out, model number DU1145XTPBA. After pulling the old one out, I took the motor out and lo and behold, what did I find but bad bearings. The motor was fine, just the bearings were rusted out and were jamming the motor so that it wouldnt move. The price of a new motor, $149.00. Well thats a bit much for something that only lasts 5 years. I went on eBay and found them for $70 to $170.00. So if you have a problem where your dish wont wash at all but fills up with water, it may be nothing more than cheap bearings in the motor. If I, myself, were this companys CEO i would really consider changing companies that they have making these motors or at least the bearings. Just wanted you to know that this is the only problem I have had with this one and Im going to replace the motor now that I know what it is. Thank you Whirlpool for a day spending repairing and replacing one of your dishwashers. I learned a lot.

Before a year was up after purchasing 4 Whirlpool appliances for our kitchen, our refrigerator needed a new compressor. Of course, they covered the cost because it wasnt a year old yet. After much complaining, they gave me a whopping extra 3 months coverage, until Jan. 2014. Now we have water leaking on the floor and ice collecting on the bottom of the freezer drawer. What a piece of junk! I had sent an e-mail to Whirlpool after the compressor situation telling them that I would never buy from them again and would have nothing good to say about them. No one responded. Goes to show that Whirlpool could care less about their customers satisfaction. Never again will I buy anything Whirlpool makes. By the way, our old frig is in our mud room working absolutely fine.

This thing will not bake correctly, leaves pie bottoms raw, yes we use convection. We have tried everything to get it to bake correctly but to no avail. Top and control panel get very hot when only using oven. This thing is junk, taking it back to Lowes.

I have a Whirlpool stove. Theres nothing but problems with the oven sensor. This is the 3rd time we have to replace it. It had problems ever since I bought and thats been 11 years ago. My Magic Chef lasted 13 years with no problems. I have a Whirlpool microwave that had a recall on it. Never buy Whirlpool!

I will never, ever, ever buy a Whirlpool appliance again. We bought the french door bottom mount refrigerator in 2013. After our warranty ran out, we had to have the guts of the refrigerator replaced and then the ice maker replaced again. Now the freezer door wont shut and I cannot believe that Whirlpool would put their name on this piece of junk! We splurged to get what we thought was a high end model but it has been problem after problem. RUN from Whirlpool!

I sold my 4 yr old Maytag and bought the Cabrio 3 yrs ago because of all the manufacturer promising advertising. Its a top load with agitator, but it takes 2 hrs to wash a load and buzzes the entire time. So relaxing coming home and spending my evening listening to this buzz, so loud I have to max out my tv to hear it. With 2 hrs spent washing a load, I can only do one per evening. Whirlpool you owe all of us a replacement or a major discount coupon toward another (50%) if you are worth anything at all. You are scum!

I have a model FG1F4034T3NOV water heater that was a problem since day one. The pilot will not stay lit, and apparently, there was some sort of class action lawsuit due to a defective part that I missed out on because I didnt know about it. The telephone representative is quick to point out that it is out of warranty due to the date of manufacture and that it needs about $200 in parts because I cant find the receipt from 4 years ago, when I bought it from Lowes. The company flat out refused to do a courtesy replacement for parts or discount them.

I purchased (from Lowes) a Whirlpool water heater in 2010 unaware of the recall and problems a lot of customers were experiencing. I have changed (6) thermocouples the most recent yesterday 2-10-2014. The heater still does not work. Is there any compensation I can receive at this date. If Lowes were aware of the problems with the heaters, how can they still in honest sell these water heaters to the public.

IM OLD AND DISABLED WOMAN. Bought a brand new $800 Whirlpool top loader washer and it wont work after not even a month. Called whirlpool and had the worst customer service from Tammy. Aqualift is a Joke. We recently remodeled our kitchen and purchased a new Whirlpool range model #WFE710HOAE. It came with a feature called Aqualift Technology to clean the oven. The button you push to start it says Aqualift Self-Cleaning. I followed the simple directions and when it was finished I was surprised to find that nothing was clean. I tried it again with the same results. I had to then clean some of it with the enclosed scrubbing pad. You cannot use any cleaners except one that they also send a small sample of. In short, it was like the old days cleaning my mothers oven with a scrub pad and a lot of elbow grease. I spent 30 minutes getting it somewhat clean. I am so disappointed and mad that Whirlpool can just blatantly mislead consumers this way. No one wants to buy an expensive product such as this and have to clean it by hand. You get as good a result if you do not even use Aqualift. My last range lasted 20 years and all you had to do was take a wet cloth and wipe out the residue. Whirlpool is at best incompetent and at worse criminal and purposely misleading with this and other similar models and should recall or be forced to recall and replace these with a working technology. I am surprised that the Federal Government has not stepped in. I would be very supportive and would participate in a class action lawsuit on this matter. As I stated in the beginning, this product is a joke.

Our 2.5 year old Whirlpool top loading clothes washer started leaking from the bottom, enough to form a sizable puddle that ran under the dryer all the way to the wall. It was still under warranty so we called the company and they recommended a repair service. Guy came couldnt really identify the exact problem but said hed order parts to stop the leak. That was 6 weeks ago. He cant get the parts despite us calling about every week to see if the parts came in. So for the last month weve been taking our clothes to a laundromat. There seems to be no end in sight to this problem. Seems stuck between Whirlpool and the repair service and were the victims. And, oh yeah we got a note that says our warranty is ending soon.

Whirlpool Dryer Model #108409 - This dryer has given me problems within a year of purchasing it. I thought that I was investing into a good product by paying more money, $1677 to be exact. Technicians have been to my house on three different occasions and yesterday the repairman wrote that the dryer in not repairable. Badcock Furniture store in Hinesville, Georgia said that they can do nothing. BWG, who is responsible for the warranty, wants to charge me to have it repaired even against the report of the repairman saying its non repairable. VERY FRUSTRATED WITH WHIRLPOOL... I will never by another Whirlpool product. I bought this product in April of 2012 and it did not make one year before it started giving us problems. The repairman also said that the dryer was probably dropped in transporting it and it could not be detected from just looking from the front view.

My wife and I went and bought a new Whirlpool 27 cubic foot French door fridge model WRF767SDEMO1 in 3-13-17 from Lowes and I have all the paperwork. And on Monday the May-28-2018 it stopped making ice, so I called a repairman and he came out May-31-2018 and he said it was leaking gas and it cannot be FIXED and it is JUNK. He told me to, Call Whirlpool and tell them you want a new one. I called Whirlpool and they are sending one of their repairmen out June -5- 2018 to check it and by that time I will lose everything in the fridge because it stopped working.

On 1/24/12, I replaced a 15 year old water heater that had started to leak after years of faithful service. The new Whirlpool unit heated water to a tepid level only, and that was obtainable only after running several faucets at a time, full bore. I used the product manual to trouble-shoot and was unable to find the problem, so I called Whirlpool customer service and was told that I would need to have a plumber come and and inspect the plumbing before a technician could be sent to check the water heater. I was not very happy about that, but complied. The next day, a plumber inspected the lines and fittings, tested the pressure and agreed that the problem was likely a faulty water heater. That cost me $95.00. I called Whirlpool again. This time, I was told that I should have had the plumber call Whirlpool while he was still at my home! The customer service representative agreed to authorize a service call, and I was given the phone numbers of three companies to choose from. Apparently, I chose wrong. The plumber seemed experienced and was very friendly. He was at our home for about 40 minutes, made a cursory inspection and said the problem did indeed seem to be with the unit, and he would return to his office to contact Whirlpool and arrange for a replacement unit and he would call back. Tellingly, I realize in retrospect, he did not give me a receipt. After several hours, I called the company and was told Whirlpool had not yet called them, and if I did not hear from them soon, I should call Whirlpool myself. This seemed reasonable to me, and I did so, at which point I realized I had been lied to from the start. The Whirlpool representative said that the service technician stated that he had run an isolation test, obtained hot water from the water heater, advised the homeowner (me) that the problem was in the plumbing, and I possibly had crossed lines. She also told me that the technician had said that he had difficulty making the homeowner understand what he was trying to explain. A complete and utter falsehood. I asked her how an isolation test was carried out, and that I would call the plumber to see what was going on, as this was not what we had been told. I was livid and called the plumbing company back just in case there was some honest mistake. Of course, there wasnt. I would like Whirlpool to be made aware that the company that they contract with is disreputable and has a history of deceitful practices. I found many negative reviews, and in fact the sort of treatment I received seems to be their modus operandi, no receipt, never a call back, assure the customer their problem will be covered under warranty, misrepresent the the service performed. The reason I add this last statement is that at no time was the new water heater disconnected, drained, refilled and allowed to return to operating temperature; the so-called isolation test a process which Whirlpool told me takes about two hours. This test did not take place. I previously stated that the technician was only at our home for forty minutes. There was no test of water temperature. I have since replaced my water heater with another brand--it works fine and there were no plumbing problems! I thought the name Whirlpool meant something. I have owned quite a few Whirlpool appliances over the years, in fact my new washing machine is Whirlpool. But I am definitely disinclined to purchase this brand again. I am so disappointed with the service I received from Whirlpool, a huge waste of time and money, and I am out $95.00 for nothing. I think Whirlpool should reimburse me for this, as the original (honest) plumber was correct. My water heater was defective and should have been replaced at that time. If it had been, you would probably still have a customer.

My appliance is less than two years old, and it wont stop heating. I have to manually turn it up and down to heat water, which seems strange, since most or all of the complaints are because it wont stay lit. Mine stays lit (knock on wood). It wont shut off. A new thermostat costs $60.00 after two years? Please.

I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio H2Low from Sears 6 years ago. After numerous problems with clothes not getting clean (soap spots, stain transfers, etc) I learned the only setting I could use that actually cleaned was bulky with an extra rinse (so much for the energy efficiency). My first major repair was in the first year. Weve since had 3 more and the darn thing died again this morning. First the motherboard died and needed replacement, the drain pump failed, the door lock failed, and twice now it stopped spinning. At first I thought maybe I was just unlucky and bought a defective machine but repair sites are filled with reports of similar problems with these machines. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

Wish we had gone online to check all the complaints otherwise we would have NEVER bought a Whirlpool model #EB9FVHLVS. Only 3 years old. First repair call to fix a manufacturers faulty grommet manifested by leaking in the bottom freezer portion. Just outside the warranty - did not purchase extended. Now I know why retailers recommend the extended. My sister overheard the repairman call in the product to his contact at Platinum Appliance Service Inc., and he made direct reference to the model number in the category of Whirlpool products known to have this specific design flaw, and that the product was never recalled but customers were directed to purchase a repair kit to fix the problem. Apparently this became a very well documented and repeated incident within the 1-2 year purchase date of these products and models with the known factory installed defect were still sent out to retailers at a reduced cost with no reference, warning or attention to the factory defect. Now 4 months after the first call we have to call in for another repair issue because our light in both compartments and the motor shuts off for hours at a time. We lost about $80 in meat products, so now were afraid to keep any costly items in the freezer because we cant afford to replace a $100 of thawed products every week on top of groceries already bought!!! It seems as though Whirlpool is gleefully generating business for appliance repair while making more than one hole in the consumers wallet.

We purchased our oven new in a package deal with the rest of our kitchen appliances four years ago. The bottom heating element in the oven has already stopped working. Every oven I have seen in my life has lasted a minimum of 15 years, and most 20. All I can say is DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES! In the past 4 years, weve had the repair technician work on the Whirlpool refrigerator (once), dishwasher (3 times), and microwave (3 times). Now, the stove isnt working correctly, making this a total of 8 home visits by the Whirlpool repairman. Whirlpool is manufacturing trash for the landfill now, not quality lasting appliances.

My dryer lasted 18 months and then died! All parts have been replaced. $700 and highly rated, I dont know by WHO but would love to have a chat with them.
