In 2015 door of top loading washer (Whirlpool Cabrio Washer) needed total replacement. Lucky I had an extended warranty. 2018 March, extended warranty expired and now have the exact same problem. Pretty crummy product if major part like a door has to be replaced every 3-4 years. We do not wash large items like blankets/quilts in this machine. That goes to a laundromat where there are oversized machines or to a dry cleaner. So the only reason for this breakage is a default in the lid assembly. There is only one phone number for customer service, repair, parts etc. Put in my service call and filed a complaint at same time hoping for at least a small discount. Ha! $100 plus tax for service call- part price ranges from $150-230 plus tax. Whirlpool could tell me the part exists but would not say how long it takes to get it! Do NOT buy Whirlpool washer with top load lid that has glass window. Big problem is that Whirlpool now has Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, Maytag and Amana all under their umbrella.

Whirlpool refrigerator - I purchased $6950.93 in Whirlpool products in one day last year at HH GREGG in Lexington, Ky. The refrigerator was purchased on that day September 18, 2012 and my kitchen wasnt going to be ready until December, but I wanted all items bought for measurements (specs) for the new kitchen designer. HH GREGG delivered to my garage October 26, 2012 because they couldnt hold any longer, but when we purchased that day they promised to hold till December when my kitchen would be finished. I have Proof from the kitchen installers the day they finished, December 28, 2012, was the day the appliances were installed. Well here I sit typing this letter on January 7, 2014 and my Whirlpool refrigerator is as of right now is in need of a compressor while losing approx $1000.00 in purchased food. In other words, approximately $900.00 in repair cost. Isnt Whirlpool a large enough company to stand behind its products when I paid $2599.00 for this refrigerator for at least one year from installation instead of purchase date? My fiancee has been trying to work out a solution with Whirlpool and the parts are on back order now. For at least two weeks we have been without a refrigerator and have two young children. Doesnt it show that the parts being on back order from Whirlpool, barely being a year old prove the defective product is being sold to the public daily? I plan on going further with this action due to the name Whirlpool all over my kitchen which disgusts me. Im going to write every columnist I can and do all I can with what little resources I have against this large company if no one helps us. This is absolutely an injustice against consumers...

Bought the Duet front loader washer and dryer. Nothing but problems and repairs. When I decided to throw in the towel and buy new machines my repair man convinced me to buy Whirlpool again - Cabrio. Said they are amazing. Love them except the holes in my shirts. I bag my delicates but apparently I have to bag everything. So sorry I bought them. There was a day when you could count on Whirlpool. Replacing my crappy Whirlpool gold refrigerator right now too. Hoping LG will be better. Already replaced my Whirlpool dishwasher. Went to Maytag. This company has gone downhill. My mom had these appliances for 20 plus years - I spend thousands and cant get 5 years!!! Dont buy Whirlpool!

Steam cleaning DOES NOT work! I have complained to Home Depot and Whirlpool since my purchase 9/2018. They sent 2 different repair men and both times I was told there was nothing they can do. I got one phone call from Whirlpool (Maytag) and they sent me a cleaner (wish is just for the stovetop). No other return emails or calls have been acknowledged. My stove looks like it hasnt been cleaned EVER! I was also told to use elbow grease. I am so disgusted and at my wits end. Any suggestions, besides court?

Worst service ever. This is my 4th refrigerator (I have 2 homes and moved a few times) and I have NEVER heard of a compressor going bad in 8 months. This was a new fridge, and all of my food went bad along with my infants milk. I cannot express how upset we were, and Whirlpool told us that they cant do anything for us, and it was just something that happens. Basically, they told me, Sorry for your loss... you should buy a longer warranty since this is not covered if it happens after a year. This is Whirlpools way of telling me, we dont care if you use our product. I am amazed that they wont give us even a credit for what happened. NEVER BUY WHIRLPOOL.

We bought a refrigerator Model# WSF26C2 EXB last June 2012, and it broke down! Our one-year manufacturer warranty did not cover for any food loss. Bottom line is, there is no compensation with Whirlpool.

Bought microwave two years ago, almost immediately when stove area got warm, the microwave would not work properly. It would beep, the info keypad would cycle, then freeze up. After unplugging and letting it sit for a while, it would work fine for a time. Now it doesnt work properly at all. We keep it unplugged until we need it then it may or may not work. I have had a service company look at it and the only thing they could figure was that was an electronic failure from the heat. I am concerned that it is a fire hazard and leave it unplugged. Not what I expected from a $1000 appliance. I wish there was a class action suit that I could join.

I purchased a Whirlpool Duet washer in Jan. 2011 and there has been 3 problems. There has been water leaking, loud/banging noises during the spin cycle, and torn clothing. Technicians have visited 4 times in 7 months. At this point, I forsee more problems in the future. I spoke to a supervisor at Whirlpool and I asked if the washer could be exchanged. I was told, If it is repairable then we will continue to repair it. I was also told that I could purchase an additional 1 or 2 year warranty. A comment like that makes me believe that the company foresees problems in the future as well. A company like Whirlpool should realize that customers should not have to spend time leaving work early or taking off to meet with a technician about an appliance so often or at all! I have owned a washer in the past but it was left when we sold the home and I never experienced any problems!

This washing machine has been the worst machine I have ever owned - I have called Paddys Market on several occasions to have a repairman come out and take a look at this machine, which they did - but the machine never got any better - it has never ever washed my clothes properly its a piece of garbage - clothes come out dirtier than when they went in and sometimes come out dry. I wish to file a complaint regarding a Whirlpool flattop electric range that we purchased approximately eight years ago. After the first year, a residue began to build up behind the glass on the front of the oven door. Finally, about 18 months ago, I decided to try to unscrew the back of the door in order to clean this since it got increasingly worse year by year. When I unscrewed the door, the side metal bars broke off and the range is to say the least, looked very unappealing . When the oven self cleans it makes the outside of the oven brown and very unappealing. This is a Whirlpool Gold, Super Capacity 465 range. We have been dissatisfied from the beginning. This complaint is not about the retailer, it is about the Whirlpool product. Please help as I am quite dissatisfied with this Whirlpool product at this time.

I have many rentals, and for over 39 years have always bought Whirlpool dishwashers for them and my own home. I have noticed over the last 15 years or so they are getting more and more poorly made. First I quit buying the plastic tub ones because they collected mold on the back. Then putting one in a rental, we went through 3 brand new ones that all leaked before we got a good one. Now, I bought the very best for my home 2 years ago, had the pump replaced under warranty due to leaks. Now, the plastic upper rack wheel has snapped off its plastic base. For under 30 dollars you get a replacement kit for it, that is all metal. So why didnt Whirlpool just put in the metal ones and charge a little more. So this will be my last Whirlpool, and all the brands they make. Do your research, many of the name brands you know are all made by Whirlpool.

WRF989SDAM00 - We spent about $1800 on a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator and at 1.5 years we had to replace the compressor for $700+. Apparently Whirlpool will only warranty for 1 year. The repairman told me the compressor he was putting in is exactly the same model as the bad one he took out so I guess I am not surprised that it only has a 1.5 year working range. We are now 1.5 years into the new compressor and sure enough it is dying again. Now it sounds like a jet plane taking off. By the time I replace it again I could have bought a new refrigerator. I am trying to figure out if this refrigerator is on recall because I cant keep replacing the compressor every 1.5 year. Never again will I purchase a Whirlpool product. I think they know the lifespan of that compressor and that is why the warranty falls just short of it!!

Whirlpool Gold Series gas oven with Aqua Lift. Very unhappy with this oven. Cons: Aqua Lift technology doesnt work AT ALL (manual cleaning required); stove top hard to clean; 2 front gas burners are super burners which is fine for boiling water, but too hot for regular cooking. Would be better to have one super burner in the middle or back but two upfront is way too hot for regular cooking, even on lowest setting. Was going to use spray cleaner but cannot on convection ovens. In a bind what to do except scrub with Brillo. Anyone used Brillo?

My old dishwasher washed much better than this one. For one thing, I do not think having the silverware basket in the door is a hindrance more than anything. For one thing, the silverware does not always get clean. Even some of the dishes do not get clean. I think the engineering of the dishwasher is poor. When you pull the bottom rack out to put more dirty dishes in, it gets caught on the silverware that are in the silverware basket in the door. Makes it very difficult to get the bottom rack out or in. I have no gripe on the size of the dishwasher. I would just like it to wash the dishes and silverware clean. The appearance of the dishwasher is good but that doesnt clean the dishes. I am more than satisfied with the appearance of it. I do like the buttons being at the top of the dishwasher so that a person cannot bump them when it is running. I just think the design of it could have been much better. My other dishwasher had the silverware basket inside on the bottom rack and I really liked that and if I ever buy another dishwasher, I would make sure that it is inside the dishwasher. I dont believe that Whirlpool is the company it used to be. I have an oven that has been nothing but a problem for me and it is a self-cleaning oven but I cant even use the self-cleaning feature because it blows something in it and it doesnt get hot and clean it. Have had it fixed twice and the company that sold it to us will not even talk to us about it. Im not sure that I would buy another Whirlpool appliance of any kind again.

I purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave (model WMH3205XVQ) on 9/27/10 and have replaced the door now for the second time due to the plastic cracking. I also discovered today that the plastic has again cracked on the vent grill and the control panel. The door, vent grill, and control panel were all replaced on 8/19/2011, under warranty. It appears to me that Whirlpool has a manufacturing defect which they need to address with the consumers who have purchased these products.

DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER (Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher)!!! We bought a camp with this dishwasher in it brand new. It has been serviced three times in the past year because the dishes (especially utensils) do not dry. The service company first said it was because I needed to use jet dry. What a joke! I told them I was using jet dry so they sent a service man out. He had to read a manual in order to try and figure out what was wrong with it. He then decided the entire motherboard needed replacing and he would order the part. He came back, replaced the part and it still did not fix the problem.I called again to complain so they sent another service man out and he said the drying air vent may not be working. They came back out to replace it weeks later because the part was on back order. Wonder Why??? I still have to dry the utensils every time I run the dishwasher. The interior walls of the dishwasher are wet even after running through the drying cycle. Either this dishwasher is a lemon or Whirlpool is selling a dishwasher that does not dry to the consumers!!! So BEWARE!!!

This washing machine is terrible. It barely cleans my clothes and frequently gets off balance. I am now on my second repair call in less than 3 years. (I bought the unit in the summer of 2013. It is now the winter of 2016.) The last repair guy tried to blame me, suggesting that I was filling it too much and with heavy materials. Last night, I washed 5 or 6 doggie towels. In 2006, I paid $1,300 for above fridge and bought extended warranty. Within a year, I had four service calls for condensation in bins that causes freezing of lunchmeat, veggies, etc. and anything put in them. The A&E service company said to use plastic bags and then said I should keep the bin drawers open at an inch so air could flow. Next call said vacuuming underneath would solve it. Final call said again to use bags and suggested modifying the fridge by making a hole in the sidewall (which would nullify the warranty).Since I declined modifying the fridge, he contacted Whirlpool saying I declined service. I still have this problem, was going to call for service because I could really use the space the drawer provides but I have a feeling I will just be throwing money away. I was going to contact Whirlpool but Ive done that too. I feel totally ripped off on an item that should have quite a few years of service left.

I purchased a new Whirlpool 3.6-cu ft Top-Load Washer (White-On-White) Model #: WTW4800BQ from Lowes on 11/1/14, which was only 3 ½ years ago. The washer began making noise during the spin cycle so we called for service. The technician claimed that the bearing pack needed to be replaced and the repair would cost $400. This amount is $20 higher than the amount I paid to purchase the washer. Because the warranty is only one year, I contacted Whirlpool today and spoke with a representative. The representative said they could repair it under the warranty. When I asked how to proceed, she then asked me if I had an extended warranty. When I replied that if I had an extended warranty, I would be using it. She declined any assistance. I now have to purchase a new washer after only 3 and ½ years. I own 10 rentals. We purchased the pair a year ago and its been nothing but headaches. First of all, half the clothes dont even get wet. Imagine your black dress pants with white bleach like streaks all over them. We called because we were under warranty and a repair man came out. Totally useless. He said because its high efficiency, its supposed to do that. Not clean my clothes?? Why would I have purchased a WASHING machine that doesnt clean clothes?? Is there some other use for it Im unaware of?? He told us to try using deep water setting and extra rinse. So now we can wash 3 pair of socks at a time instead of one. Yippee.Do NOT BUY THIS CABRIO WASHER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Youd be better off with a plastic bucket from the dollar store. I opened it mid-cycle and part of the heating coil was bright red and there was smoke inside of the dishwasher. Good thing I opened it before it ran through its cycle or it may have caught on fire. Unfortunately, I only have a 1 year warranty. This machine is a piece of crap and could have burned our house down. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

The Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine it’s the best washing machine I’ve owned. Water temperatures are right on, has an express wash 38 mins for lightly soiled clothes, plus the normal, delicate, heavy, bulky, 2nd rinse, if you need it. My wife loves it because it’s very Gentle on her personal items. Energy saver AND BEST OF ALL, IT REALLY CLEANS THE CLOTHES.

I bought a gas range (#WFG524SLAB0) in July 2012. Two weeks ago, the oven stopped igniting. I called Whirlpool to have it serviced and they sent out someone from A &E Service Repair, who told me an igniter had to be ordered and it would take a week to come in. (He said he will order the part.) Then he told me to call Whirlpool again and schedule another appointment. Whirlpool sent out one of their techs two days later, who told me the same thing about the oven and said a part will need to be ordered. I told him it was ordered and he looked and said no part was ordered. So this was the week of Thanksgiving. Because the part would not be in until next week, no one could fix the stove until eight days later. So my Thanksgiving was ruined, no less with not being able to cook. So the service tech came to put the part on and the oven still is not working. He pretty much told me there was nothing he could do, for me to call Whirlpool again and have someone else look at it. I called Whirlpool and actually spoke to a supervisor who basically told me the same thing I have been hearing for two weeks: “We will send a service tech to look at the problem.” Keep in mind the stove is only four frigging months old. So here I am waiting again for someone from Whirlpool to fix my oven.

Whirlpool built-in electric oven self-cleaning (model # GBS307PRS01) has a problem with self-cleaning. Every time you use the self-cleaning feature, the thermal fuse switch and thermostat burn up. This has happened on the two occasions when the self cleaning feature was used. The only thing that Whirlpool will tell you is that there is no recall on that model.

I have the original (gak!) Whirlpool Calypso Washer and Senseon Dryer pair. They have given great service, and I find them easy to use. I wanted a top-loader but I didnt want an agitator. These fit the bill. How long have I had them? Gosh, must be 12+ years. A recent service call indicated that other folks havent had the same luck - apparently the knee-action is troublesome - and I found the Whirlpool-trained service techs werent very knowledgeable and was able to fix the thing myself with parts off eBay! All in all, I would definitely look at Whirlpool for my next pair.

Purchased a Whirlpool French Door Refrig. Model #WRF 954CIHZ200 in 11/21/2017 from Best Buy for $2300.00 on sale. Within the 1st year the Ice Maker broke & repairman said the ill design caused the wire to break. He had replaced numerous ones for the same reason. In the 2nd yr the freezer started frosting. Next thing the freezer quit. Next day refrig quit working. Called Whirlpool, said, So sorry. We will send you a $50.00 Visa gift card. That was to cover $200.00 of just bought groceries. Called repair guy & he diagnoses compressor was bad. (IN A LESS THAN 2 YR OLD REFRIG. THAT COST $2300.00????)Now, we are 28 day w/o refrig. Living with a Igloo cooler. Whirlpool says they have no stock left on compressors for our refrig. (probably because there are so many going bad in their refrigerators). They are trying to locate one somewhere in US so that takes 6 days then they have to ship to repair center then they have to schedule us for repair which will probably be another 7 days. Ghee, what a mess! Dont do it folks! Buy a LG or Samsung! If I had it to do again, thats what I would do! Whirlpool is Not what they use to be when I trusted them. Years ago. P.S. I bought microwave, stove, & dishwasher! They are all unsatisfactory! Never again!???

I purchased my Whirlpool Duet washer about 14 months ago. After about 8 months, I noticed that it had started leaking. It was under warranty and the seal was replaced no problem. I then started to notice that my clothes were getting small tears in them. Around January (13 months after purchase), I got tired of finding new clothes and jackets with rips and tears in them. I finally found that the plastic piece around the entrance to the washer was rough and jagged. I called Whirlpool and they told me they could send out a service tech to file down the jagged edges. They told me this was a common problem caused by the zippers on jackets hitting the plastic and causing it to become rough. Because it was one month out of warranty, I would have to pay for the service call. The lady told me I could try filing it down myself. I feel like I should not have to file down anything 14 months after purchasing a new washer. I feel like I should not have to worry that my clothes are ruined every time I wash them. If this is a common problem as the lady told me, it appears to me to be a design flaw and should have a recall. I have lost several outfits and jackets due to this machine and I am very frustrated that Whirlpool would not stand behind their product.

My Whirlpool microwave oven is terrible. The whole point of a microwave is to cook things faster and make ones life easier. The main problem is food doesnt actually cook due to sensors. Cooking bacon, for example, should be a simple, quick item that easily cooks in a microwave within minutes. Not w/ this Whirlpool! The sensor would not allow the bacon to cook - even after 20 minutes of trying!! Foods such as Bob Evans family sized mashed potatoes cant be cooked either. The sensor in this microwave ensures that only the outer layer is hot while the middle is stone cold. Also, the fan has never worked from day 1, and were now on 6 months of ownership. This wasnt a cheap microwave either, so Im SOL. Please dont make the mistake I made. Dont buy Whirlpool.

I purchased this Whirlpool Aqualift oven at now bankrupt HH Gregg so my recourse is limited. I loved the look of the slide in range and the salesman raved about the quality of this appliance. First the ceramic top is a nightmare to keep clean, not mentioned at purchase. The Aqualift feature is totally useless. I use my oven on a very limited basis. Putting water in the bottom of oven does absolutely nothing to clean oven and even less on sides and oven door. I spent a substantial amount of money on this so called self clean oven and I am so disappointed in results. It does not get off even a minimum of spots, I would hate to have something actually spill over. Aqualift does not work and then you are advised to not use anything else to clean it, so what now?

We purchased the largest Whirlpool Cabrio Washer (over $1100 value) 3.5 yea
We purchased the largest Whirlpool Cabrio Washer (over $1100 value) 3.5 years ago, and had nothing but trouble out of it. The drum has had to be replaced twice, the motor once, and then supposedly a bolt kept coming off on the drum as well, that had to be tightened twice. Now, we dont know what is wrong with it - we suspect suspension imbalance or something, because this extra large capacity washer is constantly unbalanced even with 6 articles of fabric in it now, and I dont even think about putting even what would be considered a medium-large load in it, because it flat up will not wash. You can put a level on it, and it shows leveled, but it still wont operate worth anything. My wife is so put out by it at this point that she has even talked about getting an old ringer washer (seriously). Sears keeps coming out here because we had purchased the extended warranty and truly if they had simply replaced the washer after the 2nd trip to the house, they would have more than paid for the replacement washer even. Instead, they keep coming, looking at it, then having to order parts, and then come back a couple weeks later to put the shipped parts (which sit around our house), back in to repair it each time. All the while, we go without a washer or barely can wash any clothes. We have even taken clothes to the laundromat during one of the repair instances, because we cant just have mounds of clothes piled up for their month-long service. It is ridiculous how little it seems that Sears and Whirlpool care about their customers. I have gone to Whirlpool and Sears Home Services sites and complained at both. I have called both of their 800 lines in the past and again, this yielded nothing to truly depict either company cares. It just goes to prove that customer satisfaction is far less valuable to either of these companies than the bottom dollar profits in our opinion. I dont know where else to post our concerns/frustrations, so anyone can see how put out these two companies have caused us and dont care, but if anyone knows of anywhere else I can post blogged concerns, please let me know.I have complained previously about a dishwasher that we had purchased that we had numerous issues with. Those complaints fell on deaf ears to Whirlpool and really Sears as well. I dont think all the washers are duds, but this one has been nothing but trouble, and Sears wont just replace it, Whirlpool dont care. I have been given the runaround that it is because there arent three (3) service calls in a 12-month period for the exact same issue. Well, I am sorry that it doesnt appear to be just one thing! I have had it with these services calls, parts having to be ordered, only to hit the crazy repeat button again every time! This is far from good customer service, in my opinion, but rather a way to ensure the most profit is achieved! Thanks.Sears and Whirlpool have the worst customer service ever!

Washer is the bigger problem. Softner dispenser not distributing the softner correctly and now I have to clean out after each use. These are about 10 years old now. We purchased the washer on April 25, 2015. It has been an absolute nightmare. Reached out to Sears within a week of delivery because the wash cycle was way over an hour. Is a terrible machine, my clothes come out dirty, is damaging my clothes and Sears says I cannot return it because according to them I havent had it fixed enough times. It washes for over an hour at times. It takes water and releases water and goes to wash again but is not cleaning the clothes. As a homeowner we pay water, and electricity and perhaps I wouldnt be so upset if my clothes would come out clean. At first the tech told me to change from the HE detergent purchased and recommended at Sears to liquid detergent and then since I still get stains on our clothes he advised me to use less than the recommended amount. I also purchased the kit to wash the machine. This is a real lemon and nobody wants to admit it. I have purchased Whirpool washer before but if they dont admit that this is poorly made and give me a voucher to buy another machine I will never ever in my life buy Whirlpool or Sears for that matter. The machine is just a year old and I cannot use it because it damages my clothes and worst, is not cleaning my clothes. It disgust me to wear dirty clothes or to have my family wear them. So now I have another appointment and at this point I no longer use the machine. I will tell everyone that is willing to hear my experience. Do not purchase this washer, is not good and is only trouble. You are not going to be able to get it exchanged or fixed. I think that a full year would have been enough time for Sears to determine this is a lemon and do the right thing by the customer. I now go to the laundromat because I have a machine that damages my clothes. I am also out of money to purchase a new one and the wearing dirty clothes disgust me.

We purchased our washing machine on October 12, 2011 from Lowes. Our washing machine broke on 04/19/12. We have been dealing with Whirlpool and Advanced since 04/23/12, trying to have our machine repaired. Whirlpool sent A&E out on 05/09/12. A repair person from Advanced has been to our home 3 times, and A&E has been to our home twice already. Advanced came to our house on 04/23/12, 05/07/12 and 05/09/12. A&E came to our house on 05/09/12, and again today, 05/11/12.Finally the repair person from A&E said he needed to order parts which are supposed to be shipped to our house. At this point in time we have very little faith that Whirlpool or A&E will do the right thing and repair our machine. We do not understand how a company like Whirlpool keeps getting away with horrible customer service. Whirlpool is the only company we have found where you cannot get in touch with someone who can resolve your problem. Whirlpool told me today that since a repair person is already trying to resolve our problem, we have no choice but to wait until they repair it.

You can only control it via touchscreen Which, when the software runs into blocks, it is impossible to troubleshoot efficiently, you just have to wait until it completes its rebooting. It is very frustrating to spend hundreds of euros in a device you just cant control when it crashes. Horrible programming made for a horrible user experience. You have the feeling of not being able to use it or fix, it is like having a mobile phone or computer Which only works on what appears to be a random logic. I purchased all new Whirlpool appliances for my kitchen from Lowes about 5 years ago. The dishwasher was leaking water onto my hardwood floors after about a year. I figured out that the seal was pulling away on the lower left corner. I fixed that myself. It cleaned pretty well for about 3 years. Now its not cleaning at all. I took the lower spray arm off to try to clean it. Almost all of the holes are clogged with debris. (I clean the filter at least once a week.) I went ahead and ordered a new sprayer arm, maybe that will help.As for the rest of the appliances... After about 6 months, the freezer started filling up with water that then froze on the bottom and allowed water to pour onto the floor. The microwave handled broke after about a month. (They did send me a replacement handle.) The knobs on the stove are starting to peel. One of the knobs wont stay on, so I keep it in the drawer next to the stove. Overall, I am very disappointed in all of the appliances. This will be the last time I buy Whirlpool.

About five years ago, I purchased a top load Whirlpool Cabrio washer and matching dryer. For the past couple of years or so, this washer gets out of balance every spin cycle. It sounds like a mac truck running through my house. At this time, I do not have $300-$400 to buy a warranty when I feel that this problem is so widespread (via internet complaints) that Whirlpool should fix this problem. I replaced a perfectly working 13-year old Maytag washer simply because my dryer went out. I have contacted customer service with no results. I recommended this washer to my neighbor about a couple of years ago and now I am sorry I did. Little did I know that three years in there would have to be a repair. As you know, this isnt a bottom of the line cheap washer, therefore, I wouldnt expect it would be acting like one after this period of time. I asked Dave who at Whirlpool cared and basically, he had no answer. I told him that I would expect a company as large as Whirlpool to have people who have the job of searching the internet to see what people are saying about the company and if they did, they would know this was a problem with these washers and would initiate some sort of recall. This is such a bone of contention at my house that I wish the thing would just die so I had to go buy another (and trust me it wont be a Whirlpool). But rather, I get to listen to my washer thrust throughout my house every load I do.

On April 10, I bought a Whirlpool washing machine with a sensor. My clothes do not come clean. The dirty spots are still visible. I had three technicians come to check it out and after they just made the machine start, make the water run, and make the water empty, they confirmed that it was working normally. I have insisted on having someone come and just do a small wash and they did not agree because they are not there to wash clothes. I went back to Leon’s where I bought it and the saleslady told me that she could not do anything about it. I have been dealing with the customer service and the person has tried three times to get someone to come and check the washer properly and was insisting in front of me that I wasnt at all satisfied with the performance of the washer and still confirmed that the washer was working fine. They keep saying that there are no parts that need to be fixed or exchanged, so that means there is nothing wrong with the washer. I have tried all different kind of soaps. They were suggesting that I use Tide, which was the best performing soap. I used Tide or Purex - I even tried half a bottle of bleach - and it would not clean my clothes. The problem is the clothes are not turning, they just hardly moved with water that just keeps the clothes humid. I tried putting in more water with a bucket and when I push the start button, it would drain out all the water that it did not put itself. Ive called the consumer protection and they have advised me to take legal actions against the company and the store that sold it to me. They confirmed that whatever we buy, the article has to do the work it was made for; so the performance of a washing machine is to wash clothes. I even took a three-year prolonged warranty and the store told me that once the one-year warranty with the company has expired, then they could help me with sending their technicians and see what the problem was and they would take it from there. I have an account with the store and I have eighteen months to pay it off. So I was wondering if the saleslady did sell me an appliance saying that it was very good and that I should not have any problems with it. Can I take steps going against her for false advertisement? It’s a month now that my clothes are not washed properly and I need to rewash them by hand before putting them out to dry. The consumer protection office has been telling me that the store should be the one to finalize the problem with the company, but it seems that not even they can come to an agreement. Whatever steps I will take against the company and the store, what are my chances of getting my washer replaced? Whirlpool has been advised about me taking them to court and I got permission to do so. Actually, they invited me to go ahead and do what I thought was right. I do not have the money or time to waste on something that maybe I will have no chance to get anywhere. All I want is to have it replaced with another washer that would be more performing. If anyone has had the same problem and had their case solved, maybe it will give me hope to go on. Please, what is the best and fastest way for me to get this problem resolved? I do need a washing machine. I do need to wear clean clothes. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator on 12-26-14 for approximately $2000.00
I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator on 12-26-14 for approximately $2000.00. I was happy as a clam. On May 22, 2015 it died. No freezer or refrigerator. I called Whirlpool because I had a warranty, or so I thought. The Whirlpool representative was less than helpful, couldnt send a repair man until May 27th. When I told her that that date was unacceptable her response was well I could buy a new refrigerator. To say I was upset is an understatement. Everything in the freezer thawed of course and I cooked for 12 hours trying to save something and gave away all I could and filled the garbage can with the rest. I lost over a thousand dollars in food. Apparently my call to Whirlpool generated a survey sent to me and I filled it out with malice. Whirlpool called me regarding the survey and said they were sorry about the refrigerator but the appliance repair person would be there on the 26th, and oh by the way will you do another survey about their response to my concerns? I was not very lady like when I told them no. So here we are on the 26th and Ive gotten a robo call saying the appliance repair man would be here between 2 and 5pm on the 26th. That repair man showed up @ 4:45pm. He never looked at the refrigerator. I told him exactly what had happened and what noises the refrigerator was making. He promptly picked up his laptop and said I will turn the report in and their office would call me tomorrow to schedule a repair man to come and fix it. Needless to say I was livid and told him that I had been led to believe that the refrigerator would be fixed by him that day. He promptly left right after he gave me his business card. So here we are on the 28th and no one from that company or Whirlpool has contacted me about when repairs will be made. I have never been this upset or angry in my life. I have a worthless piece of junk sitting in my kitchen. Ive lost thousands of dollars. I had saved that money to buy a new refrigerator and Im not a rich person. In fact, I am a retired nurse living on social security and all I want is a working refrigerator that Ive already paid for. Apparently Whirlpool could care less. Im at my wits end as to what to do next. Of course I will call the appliance repair company tomorrow to see if they are going to fix it. I hold out no hope that it will be repaired. And yes, Im tired of buying ice.

I am very very unhappy with Whirlpool gold series. We paid more thinking it was better and dont waste your money. I have had the whole package for 3 yrs and every one has broken down. First my dishwasher wasnt cleaning. I had to take the thing apart and clean all bars and still is not cleaning right. My ice maker quit working and then started leaking under fridge. I had to have the water intake valve replaced. And now my oven says its at 350 and wont bake anything. I think the element has gone bad. This is complete junk. I should have known better and got LG.

Whirlpool Duet Steam Washing Machine WFW9500TW had F35/Suds code 14 months
Whirlpool Duet Steam Washing Machine WFW9500TW had F35/Suds code 14 months after we purchased the washer. Hose / air trap is clear and the hose from the analog pressure switch is connected properly. The appliance tech we had come out to look at the washer determined that the analog pressure switch was defective. He told us that this is a common problem with this washing machine. Whirlpool supervisor, Michael (female), stated that they could send a tech out - and charge us for the call - to diagnose the problem. She refused to transfer me to someone who could help and couldnt comprehend that the its out of warranty excuse isnt a proper defense for a product defect. There are many posts about Analog Pressure Switch problems with this washing machine. The posts about Whirlpools poor customer service are absolutely accurate. They are horrible - good luck in getting them to work with you. We read the reviews for the Whirlpool Duet Steam washing machine before purchasing one and we disregarded the bad ones as disgruntled customers. Please do not make the same mistake we made. After my conversation with their customer service dept today, I will never buy another Whirlpool product again. Defective parts happen. Refusing to fix a known problem is unacceptable.

Very disappointed with this refrigerator. Not even 10 years old and we have had it repaired 2 times plus my husband had to dismantle ice maker and take the back off inside of the freezer, using the blow dryer to thaw out the tube and manually blow in a tube to open the drain. The water leaking to the bottom of the fridge and into cold meat drawer and fruit keeper drawer. It eventually runs onto the floor if I dont catch it. This has been an ongoing problem for 6 years now. Today was another bill to the repairman for this problem. Very disgusted. This time he only thawed it out, the time before he replaced a part and thawed it out. I know he will be back because thawing is only a temporary fix because my husband did this numerous times, like every couple of months. Never again will I buy a Whirlpool refrigerator! I gave my daughter my old refrigerator and its over 20 years old and never had a repair! My current refrigerator is Model # ETICHMXKB03 with ice maker. Top freezer.

The washer is 5 years old and the dryer is about 12 years old. I have a Whirlpool Cabrio HE washer and a Kenmore Atlantis dryer. The dryer is relatively quiet and has 4 heat settings (including no heat) as well as multiple choices for the type of drying, i.e. wrinkle release, damp dry. The HE washer is noisy and a load of clothes does require a much longer time period than a standard washing machine. My guess is youll spend what you save on water usage for the electric power required to run this type of machine.

Purchased a new French door Whirlpool fridge May. It replaced a Whirlpool that was here when we purchased the home. Ten days after purchase the fridge went to 21 degrees and began freezing over food and drinks. Yesterday a tech replaced parts to repair the fridge. Today the fridge is once again at 21 degrees and freezing food and drinks. We live in a relatively rural area. Tech cant come back until six days from now. Very disappointed. They informed me my 6 year warranty was only for parts and I had to pay for a certified repairman to come and do diagnostic tests and they will pay for parts only. I said the repairman is half the price as the hot water heater and then he has to come install it. Woman on the phone was just as ready to get off the phone as I was! Its an IKEA double wall oven. Top oven is convection, bottom oven is regular. The cost was half of what a single wall oven was at other stores. It is very simple without a lot of fancy timers and extras. Its great for cooking a very large meal when you need two ovens or have recipes that need different temperatures. I was able to shop entirely online to the store in another city and have the wall oven delivered for minimal charge. I dont mind paying more for better quality, but it seems increasingly hard to find. I purchased my no-name double wall oven from IKEA in 2010 for around $1000. That was almost half the price of a name brand single wall oven. Apparently the oven is made by Whirlpool. Self clean option works well. You cant beat it for putting on a great big meal where items require cooking at different temperatures. Both ovens are full size so you could cook a giant turkey and a ham at same time. Never had a problem with it either.

I would not give this any stars! I purchased a Whirlpool gas range (model #WFG371LVB1) just 2 years ago at Lowe’s. The oven heats up to 475 no matter what temperature it is set at. The Whirlpool authorized service agent said it needed a control board which would cost $650 to install. The repair company found one for less--only $300. After reading all of the other complaints about these ranges, weve decided not to repair it and will probably have to replace it soon. We have been Whirlpool customers for years and will not purchase another Whirlpool product. There should be a recall on any of their products that have these continual problems. The oven cannot be safely used for normal baking.

Five years ago I bought a brand spanking new HE set with a top load washer, top of the line Whirlpool. That washer has been a piece of junk and getting it serviced has been a nightmare. It broke, i.e., the computer part, and was out of commission for FOUR MONTHS. I live on an island off of Alaska, luckily I rented one for the duration but STILL. That was an EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLAR MACHINE. I liked that they are new and shiny and look cool. I hate that the electronics broke after a few years. Ive had washers dryers that lasted TWENTY YEARS. The next set I buy will have plain buttons for cycles and NO ELECTRONICS. None. And still none. Electronics instead of plain buttons. Im not kidding, I will never buy another one with electronics. I bought a top of the line Whirlpool HE top loading set for over $1400 five years ago and that washer has been a bust. I have had a repairman out over 5 times and the last time he took it out and kept it in the shop for FOUR MONTHS. I will never buy a fancy set again. I will buy the old kind with the plain old buttons. Do not make this mistake yourself! Just buy a plain old one!

We have a new home with a Whirlpool gold refrigerator that has been fixed twice in 3 years for not cooling adequately (over 45 degrees), a dishwasher that the mother board has gone out twice with 3 different service calls (repairman recommended trashing and buying a new one), microwave that is rusted out on inside door below glass, and washer with horrid smell if you dont wash with bleach weekly and dryer whose sensor doesnt sense anymore after 2 service calls!!! I cannot believe the poor customer service and lack of responsibility the company has taken on these not inexpensive products!! Like others on this post they will not acknowledge problems and tell me I should have bought extended warranty. We have always bought whirlpool appliances, and trusted the name. We can put a man on the moon but we cant build a reliable bottom freezer refrigerator. My previous refrigerator was whirlpool. 19 yrs old when it went out for a new whirlpool bottom freezer fridge, 2014 Jan. 14 months after purchase, no warranty. The temp in freezer and upper compartment would increase and stop making ice. At first, we thought it was the icemaker. Repairman NOT FACTORY TRAINED, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.. Came and looked at it said, yep, icemaker. Plugged it in after 4 days. Just like brand new - making ice, not the icemaker. About 4 days later same problem - temp increasing. Called the store where we purchased it, sent the same repairman. He said it was a cooling fan. This went on for 2 months trying to figure the problem. Well, we cant rebuild a refrigerator out of parts it doesnt need, so we called a FACTORY TRAINED TECH who diagnosed the thermostat and defroster in the bottom of fridge taking two screws out and pulling bottom freezer out. It was iced up. Cost to fix it - 522.00. So I called whirlpool corp., explained problem. They agreed to pay for parts if we paid labor, 100.00. This is doable. However, if we continue to have problems after this, we will purchase a top freezer fridge, no ice maker because they constantly break down.

Whirlpool Cabrio top loader washer - I am writing to really complain about a washer I bought there at Metro. The people were great BUT this washer has been a REAL DISAPPOINTMENT!!! It is only 4 years old and I have had to have them come and replace the top of the machine. It has rusted around where you put the bleach, the soap. It leaks underneath the machine, its rusting on the bottom of the machine horribly. SO DISAPPOINTED!!! We bought all WHIRLPOOL products - washer and dryer, stove, microwave, dishwasher. What is it with these things? They rust so easy. I had a washer before this one for 14 years and it never did this. I guess things are not made with the same quality as years ago, but I will not ever spend my hard earned money on WHIRLPOOL AGAIN!!! I guess I will have to put up with this machine till I can afford to buy something else. VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER!!!

As soon as we bought our new microwave, I saw what appeared to be hair on the door. I tried to scratch it off but I could not so I wondered if it was a crack but I could not feel it. As time went by, many other lines appeared but I could not feel them, just see them. After a couple of months, I noticed the first crack could be felt and then soon after that I could feel the other cracks. The first crack goes from the glass to the edge of the door and is wide open and the door edge kind of just hangs there. There are now about 20 cracks and the door will most likely fall apart soon. I called Whirlpool and they lied and said there have been no complaints at all about their doors. I read them some of the names here on this site having the same problem and the best they can do is offer to sell me a new door for $180. I told them that their product was defective and need to be recalled or something and he again tried to send me to the parts department to sell me a $180 door. I told him if that is how Whirlpool treats their customers, I would no longer buy anything from them.

I am writing to you all today to urge you to not purchase Whirlpool product
I am writing to you all today to urge you to not purchase Whirlpool products specifically Whirlpool 2-cu ft High-Efficiency Front-Load Washer. I purchased a front loader washing machine for our tenants through Sears back in June of 2013. When it was hooked up it had an error code on it so we contacted Sears and 3 weeks later they sent out a repairman telling us it needed a new motor (this machine had not even washed 1 load of laundry). They ordered the part and Sears paid 1200 to replace a part on an 800.00 washer.....yeah I know dumb right. Well the part replacement did not work. (Surprised) They ordered and delivered a new washer 1 month later....same error code. Lets try again with another washer......same error code. How about another one......water would not stop running into the machine because the sensor was broken. Wait we are not done how about another one.....same error code. No I am not kidding, 10 months later 5 washing machines and my tenants have yet to have been able to wash a single load of laundry. I have been reimbursing my tenants every month for not having a washer for the past 10 months. I finally had Sears reimburse for the washer which they will pick up soon. I am out all the interest for the past 10 months for a product never used. To top it all off I called Whirlpool directly to see if they would be willing to at least give me a coupon for any amount toward the purchase of a different washer. They told me quote We dont do anything to compensate our customer for their troubles. That is the icing on the cake folks!!! I will never purchase another Whirlpool product and I encourage you all to not as well. I want to show them how not caring for their customers can impact them. Please share if you can, but more importantly please pass the word!!!!!

On October 21st 2011, Michael sent their technician, Steve, to my residence
On October 21st 2011, Michael sent their technician, Steve, to my residence to check my washing machine. I was in the house the whole duration of his visit. After testing he concluded that the control board of my machine is faulty. Although he brought with him his own control board but he never showed me my machine working when he installed his control board, even though I was in the house at the time. With my lack of knowledge at the time, I missed requesting that he show me the machine working with his control board. But he should have involved me in the diagnosis since I was just home and should have been his initiative. Anyway, Steve then said that the total cost of the control board plus service is $194.03 on top of the diagnosis fee of $81.19. I was taken aback with the cost since working used washing machine on Craigslist just cost $150. So I said I can only pay him for his diagnosis of $81.19 by personal check. He issued me an invoice with account number **. I also thought that I also could get a cheaper control board online which I did. Also, I know I have the right not to purchase control board from them as long as the diagnosis was accurate since I paid for it. So I ordered a control board from ApplianceZone.com and also chatted with a technician named Kelly. Based on the symptoms I related to her, Kelly confidently said that the issue is not with the control board but the Control panel is the one that is faulty. Kellys diagnosis was different from Steves but since Steve has personally checked my machine, I decided to purchase a control board. When the board arrived on Octpber 25th, I immediately installed it as its easy to install since I followed simple instructions how to install it myself. But when I installed the new control board it manifested the same issue as the original part.. So I called Steve over the phone and he said the new control board.I purchased also faulty and that I have to replace it which I did. Then the second new control board arrived on November 8th and when I installed it, exactly same issue again manifested. That was then I suspected probably Steve misdiagnosed my Washing Machine. So I tried calling Depew the same day but wasnt able to reach Steve. Instead another guy named Kenneth answered the phone. He said that Steve has the right diagnosis but I insisted that I recalled Steve never showed me the washing machine working with his control board installed so Im doubting he got the correct diagnosis. Since it wasnt helping me at all, I decided to visit personally their store on November 8,th 2011 at 5933 Burnet Rd Austin TX, to request an audience with their manager. Then I met the manager named Michael ** who I believe is also the owner of the company. After introducing myself and explained the issue and told him that I wasnt satisfied with the service rendered by Steve because with two new control boards why is my machine still not working so I believe Steve got an incorrect diagnosis. I was a dissatisfied customer and I was hoping they would find a way to help me since I already paid them $81.19 but to my surprise, this Michael ** was so rude, his response was We have done our job, you are on your own now. We dont need your business. Good Bye I said Is this how you treat your customers? he answered me This is how I treat you.. I felt discriminated and insulted by his unprofessionalism. I couldnt imagine an owner of a business treating a customer like that. Before I left, I told him that I will report him to Whirlpool since they referred Depew to me and I would also report to the Texas Attorney General. He just said Go ahead and do what you want to do. We have nothing to do with you; I couldnt believe we have a business owner like this here in Austin TX. I really appreciate you helping me with this issue with Depew Appliance especially with this issue with their manager Michael Depew. I also demand refund of $81.19 for the diagnosis as they dont deserve to be paid and also they should pay me the cost of the control board $85.13. Lastly, I like to request that whatever license this company is holding must be reviewed as his dealing with me as customer is nothing short of discriminatory.

WORST EXPERIENCE USING WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR. I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator in July 2013 (Model - Whirlpool Ref New 495 CLUB IMPERIA). Suddenly it stopped working on May 12 and I registered a compliant to the customer care. Engineer came in same and I was surprised by the service, he checked and said he rectified the problem and he left. But the problem was still there and it was never rectified. I launched the complaint again on May 13 and engineer came again and said there is gas problem in Compressor and he left by saying that another engineer will come to refill the gas in compressor. Next day new engineer came in he checked everything and said this compressor is not working and needs to be replaced. I said go ahead and replace it, he said it will take 1-2 days. I said “ok lets do it.” But now theyre saying that they do not have the compressor in stock and they will change the appliance. Again as I do not have another option I said “ok lets do it.”Now the drama start: they are saying I need to pay 20% as a depreciation of the total cost of the refrigerator + INR 1000/- (Cartage) + difference of the new refrigerator which comes to around INR 21,000/-. Well can someone tell me why I need to pay this huge amount when my appliance is still in 10 years of warranty and its just compressor problem and rest of the product is just fine. After fighting with them come to a conclusion that I need pay INR 10,200/- and I will get the new appliance. Now when I already paid the DEMAND DRAFT (DD) of this amount now no one is responding to me on when I will be getting a delivery of the new Refrigerator. Only God knows when I will be getting this. In this HOT summer we are facing a lot of issues just because of their bad service. No one from Customer Care is giving me any response nor are they taking my calls now.Now can someone tell me what I should do? I am left with no option and thinking of taking a legal action against them and thinking of launching a complaint in Consumer Court against them. Please give me your suggestions and send me your response at **. If anyone from WHIRLPOOL is look into this, please help on this matter urgently and respond me back ASAP.
