We bought a Whirlpool dishwasher and microwave from a reputable appliance store. The dishwasher top basket broke within 30 days. The microwave lost 100% power within 30 days. Both under warranty but parts had to be ordered. Couldnt use either appliance for over a month. What is going on Whirlpool? We need a refrigerator, but I no longer trust your brand. I dont want it to quit and then lose all of our food! Please get it together and make quality products again.

I have had nothing but Whirlpool for 40+ years, I am on my 2nd washer and 2nd dryer! They do the job I need, they are very reliable. If I had any downside it would be they don’t hold a queen size comforter.

We purchased all our appliances from Flecks - there were to be rebates. Also never received them. We have had our oven for 2 years - when I set the oven on 350 it will go up to 400 degrees & the temperature on the front of the stove is 350 then it will drop down to as low as 250 & the temperature will still say its still 350. I called the company - did will do nothing. Will cost me as much to fix it as to get a new one. This a Whirlpool oven.

A little over one year ago, I bought this model from Lowes. Shortly after installation, the ceramic coating on the floor of the bottom oven cracked and shattered. I contacted Lowes... No help whatsoever. I then fought with Whirlpool for weeks until they agreed to replace the unit. Seven months later, the floor of the bottom oven, once again, cracked and shattered. I am now in another dogfight with Whirlpool. This appliance is garbage and Whirlpool does not stand by their product. Do not buy any Double Ovens from Whirlpool. My next step is to organize a class action lawsuit.

One month ago the freezer quit working. Lowes sent out a repairman who told us it would cost over $1000 to fix. This fridge is only 18 months old. I called Lowes and the Whirlpool and they offered to supply the parts. Repairman came out yesterday and said the refrigerator cant be fixed. Am now waiting for Whirlpool to call us back and tell us what recourse we have. Very disappointed. Fridge is now sitting unplugged in my kitchen. Will never buy another Whirlpool product again. If there are so many issues, there should have been a recall on these items!

We bought a Whirlpool side by side at the end of August 2017. In March of 2018 - the day after I got the letter about extending my warranty - they had to replace the diffuser - it was making a horrid noise and freezing my eggs and milk. This part went again in July. I insisted they extend my warranty which they did - until March 2019. The part went again in November. I again demanded an extension - now it is guaranteed until June 2019. I asked about replacement and was told that as long as it was reparable they would not replace it. This part is dying every four months. The first few times I called, the hold recording touted a repair app - that did not give me much confidence in the company.

Whirlpool Gas Range WFG540H0es - Purchased 2 months ago. After 2 weeks there was a spill. The black burner caps are powder coated. After cooling we washed it with dish detergent & a sponge. The powder coating came off. Called the company. They replaced burner caps. Last week there was a spill and it stained the burner bases which are powder coated in a silver color. We tried 409 cleaner, Windex, dish detergent with a sponge. Could NOT get the stain out started removing powder coating. Called the company they ONLY guarantee cosmetic appearance 30 days. They wanted $139.00 for a new set of burner bases. I am going to go back to Lowes & see if we can return this Whirlpool range.

I had this washer (WTW7990XGO) 5 years and finally had to replace it. It started with the touchscreen. No matter how often it was calibrated it was very frustrating to get it to respond. It would start dinging and going thru all the cycles at random times. Then there was the error code for the door lock. The door lock wasnt the problem, the surround was slightly warped and the door wasnt catching. Warped Im sure from having to literally climb into the machine to retrieve the clothes! Then a few months later it was another error code - the machine wasnt draining fast enough. It didnt drain at all. We had to use a water hose to drain it. After the second time with that, I went and bought a new washer - different brand, dials - no touch screen, and it has an agitator. Unfortunately, I ran into other customers in the appliance department who were having the same issues from 2 other brands of electronic washers. We all went back to as old school as was available.

Very functional microwave which also comes in convection oven if needed. Stainless steel, finger print resistant, is very handy and easy to clean. Overall very happy with it so far. Much better than the earlier Samsung that we had.

I love Whirpool products. They work well, even under hard water conditions. Ive had my Whirlpool washer/dryer for 12 years now without one single problem. Even with the hard water problem in my house, the clothes still come out clean, the dryer works well, I do clean my vent each and every time after each dry. I also have to clean the area where I put my detergent in due to the hard water and the machines are still working great.

I bought this Whirlpool Cabrio washer three and 1/2 years ago and the assembly which is basically the transmission and the assembly which is the agitator is out! Needs replaced! This is complete crap! The new parts will costs over $500 bucks plus labor! Ridiculous! My last washer which was a Maytag lasted me 20 years! What a piece of junk! Now I have to. It a new washer! No thanks to you Whirlpool! I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again! Neither will my family or friends!

Love the dishwasher, except the racking which has some top rack channels which are too small to be used by glasses, mugs, etc. The Power On/Off should automatically power down when the cycle is finished. Too often when someone leans against the dishwasher while opening the overhead cupboard, the dishwasher will start up because the unit was not powered down.

We purchased a new Whirlpool Cooker (Model Number YWFE745HOFH2) in June 2021. Our first disappointment came when we used the Self Clean function to clean the oven. Unlike our previous Whirlpool cooker (which we were very pleased with) this required us to put water into the bottom section of the oven. After the advised time the oven was exactly the same as at the start of the process. For readers of this review I would like to stress that the oven was not excessively soiled. We just wanted to try out the feature. In August my wife dropped a ceramic cup onto the cooker top and the top shattered completely. This, of course, was not the fault of Whirlpool, but we were shocked that the damage was so extensive. A new cooker top was ordered and arrived at the beginning of October (dispatch problems). After each use of the cooker top it has been cleaned with a recommended cleaning product. Today I accidentally allowed a pot of rice to boil over and, although I immediately removed the pot from the cooker top and wiped both the bottom of the pot and the top before continuing, the residue will not come off of the surface. It looks awful! We had our last cooker for over 10 years - if I could afford to I would get rid of this product tomorrow!

We had to buy a new fridge in 2000 because ours broke. Following consumer reports, we went with a side-by-side Whirlpool gold and was it pricey! Within the first five years of its life, we had to replace the fan twice...the bar that separates the fridge and freezer could have fried an egg--it was so hot! When I had to replace it the second time, I pitched a fit to Whirlpool and they could care less! Now I see that the inside wall of the fridge section has cracks forming! I know the average lifespan is 10-15 years but I still will say that I will not buy from Whirlpool anymore! Their stuff is very expensive and it just seems it has too many small things that do not hold up!

Needed a washer right away and have had Whirlpool before. Simple & easy to use. Not confusing to the average person or teenager for that matter. Reliability from Whirlpool is excellent. I have had many products from them and have enjoyed them all. They have been quite reliable over the last 9 years. They are out of date but they work. Not a lot of bells and whistles but still nice. They are both full size and have enough options for me. I am still happy with the pair and would purchase again if needed in the future. Price was good at the time as I cannot see spending $1K on them. Not always the more expensive is a good idea either.

It does not clean properly, if the dishes are not almost totally cleaned before putting them in the dishwasher. It has stainless steel inside, but the plastic holders have all had to be replaced. It is a large dishwasher that holds pots and pan. It is plain and has nothing outstanding to look at. Dishwasher are not meant to last any longer than 8 years, I have been told by a repairman. I will never purchase a KitchenAid, made by Whirlpool again!

I purchased a Whirlpool Gold from ABC Warehouse in Flint, MI, for $2099.00 before tax and it was delivered on 10/22/2010. Head-liner of inside of refrigerator has a crack about 3-3 1/4 inches long and the refrigerator is running more often. A repair tech came today, 10/14/2011, and did his job fine. He called Whirlpool and they stated to fix it with epoxy? The repair tech is ordering this. I called Whirlpool at 9:00 am right after the tech left at 1-800-253-1301 and spoke to Sherry. I explained everything to her in a very nice manner and she stated that according to the manual, they give us it is for repair only? I said, ok, could I please speak to her Supervisor and she said yes but it will be the same answer. I spoke to her supervisor, Lisa at 9:15 am, she came on talking about the problem and let me talk, I asked her on several occasions are you still there, and she said yes, her words were that Whirlpool only repairs nothing else for the year as per my paperwork (record). I said we dont even get this till after we purchase the item, I mentioned I had a Cabrio Washer and it was junk and had more service calls than any other machine I owned. I have a stove as well from Whirlpool it’s been good so far, I told her with service like this, and them knowing their liners are made of cost cutting saving materials as I have read enough complaints about this on the internet, that Whirlpool is eventually going under and so are the other small shops that do part work for them and their jobs will be outsourced to Japan, China, India and so on, I asked if there was another person higher up than her I could speak to and she said no, they’re not available at this time I snickered and said thats management for you. They have a customer service rep (call center complaints which is Sherry), then supervisor like you (Lisa) then some other management that dont want to talk to you. Way to go Whirlpool. I told her to document that I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance and I will definitely tell others and so on, and if we get enough folks to ban them they will leave USA or close and then Sherry and Lisa will be unemployed just like the rest of us in the good ole USA. Poor appliances for folks that can barely afford to make it and if you’re lucky and working like me and you buy something; shouldnt a refrigerator last more than this, and you stand behind your products? I also told her I know some are abused but this was not an abused product from me. It is a Whirlpool ‘cut your cost savings product’, and forgets the customer. Please look at the old appliances, I also mentioned I have an old Amana in my garage that is 17 years old runs great and never had a problem. And I gave her up for this piece of junk Whirlpool. I then told her I will write letters, emails and everything I can think of to ban this make and product. Model number of this refrigerator is GI7FVCXWBO, freezer on the bottom, fridge on top, side by side doors, solid black with ice maker. When I purchased this I bought it to last a long time as I had to finance it, and take from our monthly income. I had never had a nice fridge, but heck this is not nice. It’s a joke and the sad part is, I owe over $900.00 still and just got laid off. Thanks to the good ole USA and Michigan, but I will pay it off no matter what cause I pay my bills, and stand behind my name as a good person and citizen unlike Whirlpool. Boycott their products as they dont care about us or the American workforce. Oh, and this damage was not caused by abuse to the fridge - it was poor quality of materials in their products. Thank you for letting us complain about products! Also, it’s not like I can go out and buy another refrigerator as it took me over 18 years to get this one. Thanks WHIRPOOL for letting me down on another bad product but it will never happen again. Ive definitely learned and will teach others. Just like many other reviews about this brand - our microwave went bad after only 14 months of using it. Initially the door sensor would register - it wont operate even if the door is closed. Or it will keep going even if the door is open. I contacted BBB and the Whirlpool corporation regarding this safety issue. I pointed out that the safety mechanism is faulty and they should recall all of those models that have similar issue with door sensor. This is extremely dangerous for households with kids. There is a reason why this safety mechanism is mandatory in all microwaves! Whirlpool pointed out to me that I should not try to operate microwave with open door and refused to take any responsibility. Ive owned probably 10 different microwaves over the years and NEVER had micro go bad after only one year, yet alone have completely faulty safety mechanism. Consumer beware!

Purchased a new Whirlpool built in microwave oven model WMH 310 17 AB-1 in July 1, 2013. As of February 2014, the glossy black finish on this microwave is dull where the finger push controls are and scratched up along the top of control panel and top front of door. We only use a wet cloth and towel or microfiber cloth to clean this microwave; nothing that would be abrasive so very disappointed in this product. It looks quite ugly for a new appliance. I did not anticipate how delicate the outside surface would be - never in over 30 years have I had this problem with another appliance, even stainless steel does not scratch like this.

Our newly renovated condo came with a Whirlpool washer/dryer, and its been a nightmare. Not only has the unit destroyed 5-6 items of clothing, but weve had to have two repairmen out to remove socks that were sucked into the drainage pipe. On top of all of that, the customer service has been terrible - their hours are very limited, and theres nothing the call center employees can do beyond sending a tech out to look at your appliance for a cool $175. All this for a machine that was purchase new in June 2014! We will never buy a Whirlpool product again. Sad example of why American manufacturing has so thoroughly declined.

Chris from Whirlpool contacted me the same day that I filed my complaint. He offered to replace our water heater at no charge. We will pick up our new water heater this weekend and install it. Hopefully, it is designed better than our current water heater.

I am writing due to the defects and flaws in my recently purchased appliances. I chose Whirlpool believing I was buying the highest quality for longevity purposes. Every appliance I own is Whirlpool or Maytag - same company. I purchased warranties and was told the warranties dont cover my issues and was basically brushed off. I am infuriated. Here is a list of complaints. Refrigerator is cracking on the inside on the inner door and at the bottom. These cracks surfaced within the first year of purchase. The warranty does not cover cracks in the inner body.The oven/range has an exhaust that bellows out of the top of the range in a way that the smoke curls up onto the panel and discolors it. I have never had an oven constructed with an exhaust pipe in the front that pours smoke onto the range itself and into your house. The dishwasher paint has rusted off on the door as have the screws on the inside of the door. The cover panel on the cleaning dispenser of the washer has popped off and cannot be popped back on, hence the guts of the dispenser are always visible and when I go to load the cleansers the front has to pulled out from inside the dispense.The refrigerator is also leaking from the bottom and the ice-maker no longer produces ice. This started off and on for the past 2 years. At first I thought the leak was from a near by window. No it is the refrigerator. All of these appliances were purchased in 2013, 14 and 15. New. I am 56. I have never had issues like this ever in my life growing up or as an adult. Appliances lasted forever. I am one person. How much damage could I do? None.These are flaws in chemical compounding of the paints and materials for cracks and rust. Whirlpool was called various times and was not interested in sending a rep to verify my claims. They said all of my warranties did not cover such issues only motors. Lots of many spent in vain. I will not purchase Whirlpool again as they seem disinterested in customer satisfaction.

We purchased commercial washing machines for our building, we discovered that the clothes were coming out of the machines with dry spots and partials of soap. When we asked the dealer about this they sent a tech. to check the machines. It seems that these machines do not allow a adequate amount of water into the tub to wash the clothes. Only 6 or 7 inches of water is not enough water to wash a full load. When asked how this can be fixed I was told it cant be fixed. I was told this is a energy saving machine, which means you can only wash very small loads!What is the point of running a machine for twice the amount of time to do what you used to do in one load? Had we known this before purchasing what we felt was a quality machine, we are now stuck with machine not capable of doing what is required of them. When asked if they would take the machine back, no is all they say. I would never buy any product made by Whirlpool or Maytag because of the way this problem of ours has been handled. We purchased these machines from Prestige appliance, they have been good, but with no support from Whirlpool.

I am very upset. I bought a Whirlpool range (model YGFE461LVS) 2 and a half years ago and today when I tried to bake a cake, the oven overheated (as if I had put it on broil) and although the display box showed that it had turned itself off, the oven kept heating and getting hotter and hotter, I had to unplug it. I feel like I have bought disposable appliances! How could I have such serious problems after only 2 years? To top it all off, this past week my fridge (also a whirlpool, model WRT779RFYM10) also started acting up. Water is leaking all over inside the fridge and the freezer. I have to clean it up everyday.

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator on 4/6/2011 - Model No. G17FVCXWQ00, SIN No. K01044078. Since that date, we have had many, many problems with the ice maker not making ice and jamming with ice cubes. If we use ice, then it will not make ice for several days. Whirlpool has been my brand for years but I must say that after buying this washer #WFW75SHEFWO from Lowes - on sale, which is clearly a lemon, that I will never buy a Whirlpool appliance again. Not because I believe all of their products are subpar, but because the service on these units is unacceptable. The first call for service repair resulted in the Appliance Repair Service company missing the first appointment due to being overbooked, rescheduling and missing the second appointment due to illness, and the third appointment the guy finally arrived nearly five hours late. Supposedly they were a man short. When the technician finally showed up he claimed it was the board and the pump and scheduled a time to return to fix it and then he never showed up... No call whatsoever. Clearly a lack of clear communication and no respect for a customers time. I called Whirlpool to complain. Nathan, a supervisor was attentive. I requested a different company and was refereed to Appliance Doctor in North Hollywood. Rosa, the customer service receptionist at Appliance Doctor, is quite pleasant, professional and clearly wants to correct the numerous missed appointments that keep occurring with her Whirlpool appliance repair company. First repair appointment missed due to illness, next he came and did not really inspect the unit completely, and third appointment rescheduled nearly a week later due to a death in the family. No other repairpersons? I am certain it will be a car breakdown the next appointment. I have no patience for bad management because it is always an extension of bad ethics, which if you believe many of the negative reviews on this site Whirlpool and their various appliance companies appear to frequently miss the opportunity to engage within an honorable sphere. This is a new washer purchased only a few months ago. One technician mentioned it was due to overuse of soap/. The other technician was adamant that it was a sock stuck in a pump. Really? He did not open it up or even check the unit with any thoroughness. Error codes are enough. I was informed it would cost me and that this problem of the unit shutting the door and not completing the wash cycle was not covered by warranty. I informed him that I would call the manufacturer and insist on the unit being fixed. I did so and Whirlpool agreed to cover the repair. My schedule has been adjusted repeatedly to be present for these various service appointments only to have them cancel with a text. Bad business. I called Whirlpool repeatedly and was informed that socks must be put into a wash sack and no rugs with rubber backing. Again, my jaw dropped. What? I had an Amana washer and dryer for over 12 years and they worked great! So sorry I got rid of the Amana washer now. The Whirlpool is a piece of junk... Poor design and the fact that they are okay with such bad service has me calling around to other companies for a new washer and dryer set that will be on par with my Amana set. Whirlpool is clearly keeping these appliance companies in a brisk business with such abysmal technology. I am on the phone with another Whirlpool rep, Tracy, who is very attentive and helpful. The music playing while waiting, sometimes for 30 minutes, is similar to a film score, which helps calm the anger of time being wasted.

Burners always needed replacing and now do not work anymore - Whirlpool range looks nice, but very expensive to maintain. The burners constantly needed replacing, they do not heat up. I got a repair technician to look at it. He replaced the parts that the burners hook into. Now they do not heat up at all. Well, one of four barely boils water. The oven still works, oh great. The thing is only 7 years old. I have had ovens that lasted 20+ years at my dads house or 15 years at another house I lived in. With all the negative comments and the repair guy who tried to fix it, I think it is time to get the kids Easy-Bake Ovens out of the storage or buy a new range. Obviously, it will not be a Whirlpool. So many negative comments people left, my useless top burners seem mild comparatively.

I had purchased a washing machine trough CSD canteen and go for AMC for five years on September 25, 2006. In September 2010, I lodged a complaint and the Engineer visited and asked for a replacement of the bottom cover. I said okay, but later on he told me that I have to replace the complete outer cover. I agreed and asked them to replace it. The cost is fixed for 2,500Rs. They replaced the cover but did not replace the bottom cover.I talked to the agency and they agreed to hold to 1,000Rs for the bottom cover and I paid to them 1,500Rs. Later they brought an old cover and I refused to replace that. They told that the bottom cover is not available. Then they never tried to replace the bottom cover. I arranged for the same from the local marketing for 600Rs and replaced it. I paid the service charge for the engineer.Later, I lodged a complaint that the machine was not drying the cloth. The engineer visited and told me that the belt will be replaced on payment. I agreed and he told me that I will visit the next day and replaced the belt. But he did not come until it was late.On September 18, 2011, with number DL0911018283, my machine was not switching on and I lodged a complaint to customer care. But no engineer visited me. Then I regularly complained but there was no response from the agency. On September 23, I talked to customer care, Mr. **, that I am going out of station and I lodged a complaint from the last five days that no engineer visited me. My AMC is expiring on September 25, 2011. I will come back on October and then send the engineer. On October 9, I reminded them that they refresh my complaint with number DL1011007031. The engineer visited and told me that the PCB of the machine is faulty and I have to pay 3,500Rs.I told him that I complained for this problem during the AMC period, hence they are supposed to repair my machine free of cost but he refused. I talked to customer care and tried to resolve the issue but I was not successful. Then I talked to Mr. **, the head of Customer care in Delhi, on October 12. He promised to resolve the issue but no engineer visited me and my machine is still defective. On October 13, I tried to contact Mr. ** several times but he or his PA is not picking up the phone. Now, how will I get to repair my machine?

I moved into an apartment in July 2010 after closing in May 2010. My microwave by Whirlpool stopped heating a few days after the one year warranty was over. This appliance was of April 2009 series. My builder doesnt take responsibility and Whirlpool asks for huge service visits and repair costs that leaves me with no choice but to replace, and that too with the same product. This will cost me about $600-700 including installation and warranty, etc. I strongly believe that consumers should be protected against such liabilities. I have to pay for the product, the removal of the faulty one, installation of the new one plus taxes, plus transportation etc., only because Whirlpool sold it and the builder bought it (they are also hand in hand with these suppliers and dont bother after occupancy). God save us from such eventualities and undesirable expenses which hurt. No one should buy such items.

With the many selection to dry your clothes accordingly to your load, 9 times out of 10 all clothes are dry. Ive used every cycle there is too often so that I could get a better trusted value. Also it removes more lint than any other brand that I could think of.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer - Do not buy this washer. I have never placed a comment on the web before, but after reading about the same problems over and over, there should be a class action suit. The spin cycle will not balance. You have to stand over the washer and readjust the laundry. I called Whirlpool and I was told to unplug unit for 5 mins. This is a $800 washer that lasted about 2 years.

This is a replacement of a similar model, that lasted 23 years. This modest, white, 2 door, side by side refrigerator, was purchased without the optional ice maker. It was bought specifically for the dimensions, of our custom cabinets. There are obvious differences, from the previous incarnation. The textured doors were replaced with a smooth glossy finish and their height extends higher than the refrigerator cabinet. The adjustable shelves were replaced with less adjustable pre fixed shelf supports. The LED interior lighting is much brighter that the incandescent bulbs they replaced. Overall, so far a very capable refrigerator, for a moderately sized kitchen and if the life, lasts as long as the one it replaced, this was a very good purchase.

Purchased a 40 gallon gas water heater from Lowes. Installation was a nightmare trying to get the 3/4 pipe nipple fittings to seal. Once getting the two nipples to seal using extra thick Teflon pipe wrap, found the tank was leaking also. The return with Lowes was painless. Got another Whirlpool to replace, but angry about having to do the job twice. Wish I viewed this site first. Never would have purchased Whirlpool.

My husband and I purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave in 2005, model number MIX155XHPT-1 and serial number TR S 30 32419. At first the top vent broke then the opening side broke off. Then the whole side of the closing door broke off. Now the whole door wants to fall off. I would have never expected this from Whirlpool, but it happened.

I wish I had gone on this website and read the reviews before I bought my washer about two years ago. I thought the Whirlpool Cabrio was going to be a good machine because of the brand name and because it is one of the more expensive washers. Like many others have said, I am disappointed with this washer. I bought it because it has a large capacity, but mostly because it has a hand wash cycle and a deep water soak. I have found that the only cycle that actually may get clothes clean is the Bulky Items cycle, because it actually covers the clothes in water. Some of the other cycles dont even get the clothes entirely wet. And the deep water soak doesnt wash the clothes, rinse them, or spin them dry. I might as well pre-soak clothing in my laundry tub, and then put them in the machine to wash them. Prior to this machine, I had a Maytag Neptune front loader, which did alright, but it had a few problems. I am ready to go back to the inexpensive agitator machine my mother used to have, if anyone still makes them. They at least got the clothes clean, and you could soak clothing if you wanted to. Im sorry that I bought this expensive washer. I wish I had bought a relatively inexpensive, simple machine. One good thing about this machine though is that I was able to wash a sleeping bag on the Bulky Items cycle. So, I didnt have to take the sleeping bag to the laundromat. Whirlpool needs to improve this machine or go back to the drawing board and create a new one.

We purchased a Whirlpool conquest from Lowes in 2009 and purchased a Lowes warranty. About 2 years ago we started seeing hairline cracks on most of the drawers and shelves. I complained about it last year and a lady from the Facebook page did offer 50% off new ones. Since then we have not been able to afford to get any, and today we lost our last shelf. If I wouldnt have checked it, it would have broke along with anything on the shelf. I have never seen such horrible parts. We have another small very old fridge that has help up better than this. At this point I will never buy another Whirlpool.

Not as big as appearance would indicate. Very disappointed in actual usable space. You have to open both doors to get anything but the smallest items out. Had unit for less than a year and had to get freezer door seal replaced. Glad we got the extended warranty.

We have a Whirlpool double oven that is about 3 years old. Today we used the oven for lunch and about 2 hours later we heard a loud sound from the kitchen. When I went to see what had happened I found glass shards all over the kitchen, some as far as 10-12 feet away. The outside glass of the top oven was spider-webbed and had apparently exploded. Nothing had come into contact with the oven and nobody had been in the room with it for over an hour, it just randomly exploded. I am going to contact Whirlpool but judging by the other posts I dont expect much help from them.

Tried for several days to schedule service call for my leaking whirlpool ref/freezer. Waiting on hold to speak to a rep... transferred to another dept. - on hold again listening to a recording advising me of the unusual high volume of calls to call back at a later time (should have been my clue of all the problems with their product). I had three different Whirlpool phone numbers given to me from the reps I spoke with. I would like a refund for my extended warranty. I have called an independent service company and will pay for the repair. I will not buy or recommend Whirlpool or their products.

I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator about 4 years ago and havent had any problems with it. One of the things I like about it is it has adjustable shelves not only in refrigerator part but also in the door part so that you can put bigger items like milk, etc. in door. It also has crisp bin for things like lettuce that works very well.

We bought this refrigerator (Whirlpool Model # WRF9913F1FM00) last August 2016. From day 1, the water coming out from the water dispenser was not cold at all. Same temperature as the tap water. By November, the refrigerator started to get warm. Apparently, the evaporator fan motor had to be changed according to the technician who spent more than an hour on the phone with their technical advisor to diagnose the problem with the refrigerator. After a week, the refrigerator got fixed. Not only did the refrigerator started working again, even the water from the dispenser got finally cold, too. Now four months later, March 2016, the same problem: the fridge started to not get cold again. In addition to that, the ice would not come out from the ice dispenser and water from the water dispenser is not cold again. When my husband checked inside the door, the ice were all clumped together. They looked like they melted. And even the ice in the freezer bin looked the same. And on top of this, the refrigerator was making so much noise. The technician was just here again today.

I bought my washer machine because my other one died on me. I was nearly everyday so I needed a dependable machine but also good price. This machine is both and I would definitely recommend Whirlpool.

Replaced an old water heater with new Whirlpool 40 gal. short natural gas water heater N40561-403. Good instruction, very clear directions. Also purchased at Lowes was a Utilitech universal gas water heater installation kit. The nipples provided in the kit screwed very loosely into cold water inlet and hot water outlet. I used teflon tape and finished the installation. When I turned the water on both fittings leaked. I couldnt tighten the nipples any further so I shut the water off and drained the tank a bit and reinstalled the nipples with at least 8-9 wraps of teflon tape. Im not sure if that is normal or if nipples were under size or if the cold water inlet and hot water outlet were larger dia. than normal. FYI.

I have a Whirlpool dryer for about 8 years. The lint catcher has some holes so I called the 1800 phone no. that I got from the dryer and order the part. That happened in May 18 - I pay for it. I have been told that I will receive the part in 5-7 days. Today, Aug. 27, I called see what really happen with my part. Well I have been transferred from a department to another. I waited over an hour on the phone. No employee can find my order in the system and hey keep on telling me that I did not order! In the end, the order have been found. They told me that the part has been in the back order and I will receive it on 9/12/2014 - 3 weeks away adding up to 4 mo since I order and my credit card was charged. I cancelled the order> I really do not want to deal with Whirlpool ever again. I am happy to pay for a new dryer - some other brand and put in the garbage the Whirlpool - for a lint catcher and bad customer service.

Whirlpool, shame on you! I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio pair from Best Buy in 2008. Ive had repair technician after repair technician out over 7 times! The washing machine must have been designed by a 3-year-old! Whirlpool, youre getting greedy and youre making your products CHEAP! I know this is fact, I have a 15-year-old side by side in my garage made by Whirlpool and it works great! Fire your 3-year-old designer! I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again! After all said and done, this pair has cost me total purchase and repairs over $4,000! And Now my bearings are bad! Thank God for YouTube! Im fixing it myself this time!

I stumbled across this page on another mission and had to stop to add my exp. Perhaps I got lucky and got a good set but Im on my 3rd year and my washer and dryer are my friends. I dont have hot water connected to my washer and my husband is a shingle roofer so I often have to wash his clothes twice but my dogs beds come out beautiful and the sanitizer on the dryer removes odors very well. My water bill went down, I can wash my rugs and large comforters at home now. Plus they are so pretty. Im sorry you are all having so much trouble but I love mine sooo much I just had to stop a moment to throw in a little positive.

My wife and I tried to buy a Whirlpool refrigerator and when dealing with their customer it seemed like the left hand didnt know what the right hand was doing. My wife and I were really disappointed being that these refrigerators are supposedly made in America; thats why we wanted a Whirlpool; but we would never buy a Whirlpool now because of the way we were treated also. Sincerely unhappy with our experience!

There seemed to be an issue with the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Pump. If a button comes off from your clothing or snap, etc., it gets trapped in the washer pump, causing it to crack and leak. Whirlpool on warranty only allows for one free change and anything after that costs $300.00. This is going to be the third time we are having problems with this and it is becoming, economically, a struggle for us. We have checked every button and snap to make sure they are fastened tightly, as well as any other type of items that may fall off in the wash and become trapped in the pump causing it to crack and leak. These pumps were poorly made and Whirlpool needs to be more aware of this problem rather than telling the customer that they are not aware of the situation.

We have put hundreds of dollars in service calls and parts on these items. I bought them because they were supposed to be good choices. NO way! I have replaced motherboard in washer, belt and sensor in dryer, the washer has had mold in it since week one. Ive tried to clean it but just keep coming back. All my clothes smell like mold and I already have lung problems! Cant afford to buy new right now. But last month my dryer started making terrible banging noise and so repairman says I need another part! I bought the part more money! Just to have it quit again! Now the barrel split! I dont think I should have to pay the money I did for this set and surely shouldnt of had to replace so many things that went wrong or put up with the sewer smell from the washer!

I purchased Whirlpool Microwave/Convection Oven a little over a year ago. It needed repair four times and the latest repair debacle appears that it will take ~5-6 weeks to get it repaired if the part that comes in works. The microwave model number is GMH6185XVS1. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance. I spoke with Whirlpool (not the extended warranty company to which I was referred), and they refused to help, period.The extended warranty company (although very nice), werent much help and will continue to attempt repairs until the price of the repair(s) exceeds the value of the microwave no matter how it inconveniences my household.

This is the only time in my life when I have seen a Microwave behave so badly (and one that is relatively expensive). The microwave is defective out of the box. I had a 14-year-old 40-gallon tank that was working great but I decided it was time to get it replaced. I picked out a Whirlpool 400-gallon tank stated to be good for a family of 3 to 4 people. Immediately after installation, I got complaints from family members that there was no enough hot water for morning showers. I turned up the thermostat to the maximum 140 degrees, but there was still wasnt enough hot water. The Whirlpool rep on the phone stated that 3 people cant take back-to-back showers. The unit wasnt designed for this. I told him the unit is advertised for a family of 3 to 4 and I have only 3. I asked where on the advertisement does it state 3 people cant take back-to-back showers? His response was, Where does it state you can? I asked his name and he would not give it to me. If 3 people cant take showers on a unit stated to be for a family of 3 to 4, something is wrong. Maybe it should be advertised as suitable for a family of 1. I will not buy a Whirlpool product again and I advise others to take my advice, go elsewhere.

Both glass doors have a streak between the glass and you cannot get to it to clean. It looks like you havent cleaned the glass. I bought this 2 years ago. I am worried that the glass may break and heat escaping from the oven.

Purchase whirlpool washer model W2W4800xQ2 in Sept. 2012. Had problem with lid lock after warranty. Now lid lock does not work, takes 1/2 hour to start wash and does no spin. Called whirlpool and they will do nothing. Repair will be $200. I opt to just purchase new machine. This machine is one piece of garbage.

When my wife and I were planning our retirement, we made a to-do list before we officially stopped working. We are loyal Whirlpool users and over the next 3 years we purchased 4 major Whirlpool appliances in preparation of having 8-12 years of problem-free time as we go from a two-income working family to two people on fixed incomes. I retired in December of 2011 and unfortunately this did not pan out on 2 of the 4 appliances. The washing machine, in late February 2012, blew a transmission 23 months after purchase and 11 months after the warranty expired. Discussions with Whirlpool by phone were unsuccessful in getting the repair covered.Ultimately, this repair cost us $265.00. In late April, 9 months after the warranty expired, the refrigerator iced up and had to be manually defrosted, despite being equipped with ADS. My family and I did the defrosting because it was a weekend and tech support was not available. On Monday, the refrigerator was functioning, so I was told to run it and see what happens and call the tech if it happens again. I had done research online and found many folks were having trouble with this refrigerator model and the main problem was the control board”, a board that is used in many Whirlpool refrigerators. I ordered one after the initial problem and waited for it to ice up again. On Sunday, May 20, it repeated the same symptoms displayed and I put the board in myself and it solved the problem. This computer board cost me $95.81.I contacted Whirlpool about the two premature, post-warranty expiration issues in hopes of getting some reimbursement for the repairs. The Whirlpool rep told me that because there had not been a recall on either appliance, they could not reimburse me. They instead offered me a 6-month extension on the dishwasher I bought last July. I have been on several complaint websites and have seen the refrigerator control board repeatedly mentioned - all within the approximate 2-year timeline as my control board failed. My refrigerator was a GB9FHDXWQ01 model, but the control board is used in many of their refrigerators. If this has happened to you, please contact me at ** and, hopefully, together we can get enough data to get a recall and get proper treatment from Whirlpool. We have had a Whirlpool dishwasher for about 2.5 years and have been happy with how it cleans dishes. About a year ago we replaced our counter top and in the process had to adjust the bend in the mountain brackets that attach the dishwasher to the underside of the counter. This requires flexing the thin piece of aluminum at the perforated line. In the process, one of the brackets snapped. The other was barely still intact and broke several months later. I tried jerry-rigging them, but eventually decided to replace them and called Whirlpool customer service to ask for replacement parts.Unfortunately, Whirlpool wanted to charge me $10.50 apiece and another $9.00 for shipping and handling. These parts could not cost more than a few cents apiece. I was shocked that they would charge me $30.00 to replace these flawed parts. Never have I had such and experience with any customer service department. The three people I spoke with were all rude and unapologetic about my situation. Two blamed it on the install...Ive installed plenty of dishwashers and never had any problems in the past. Even if it was a failure on my behalf, the simple replacement of the parts for a reasonable charge would have been fine by me. I told them Id be happy to pay a few dollars and to pay the full shipping fee (which was also high, in my opinion), but they refused to meet me halfway. I can only think that this is part of their business plan...make dishwashers with sub-par parts, and then over charge for the replacement parts when they fail. Well, I re-upped my jerry-rigging efforts and have improved the engineering of the faulty part. Save my $30. But Whirlpool will never again get my business and Ill be sure to steer clients and friends away from this brand as well.

Bought these Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum combo about three years ago, nothing but junk from the get go! Washer never gets clothes clean, towels always come out smelling mildew and sour no matter what liquid soap you use Tide, Gain, whatever same results. Plus always mold coming from inside tub and yes we use refresh weekly and wash it out on refresh setting. I’m so tired of our towels smelling sour but can’t afford to buy new washer and dryer living on fixed income. If I could these would be in the recycling yard now. From everything I’m reading all new H e machines are crap and energy efficient my foot. I wish for my old style washer and dryer. WHIRLPOOL YOU HAVE LOST A LONG TIME CUSTOMER!

Whirlpool claims this technology works to clean the oven; however after one month of use and one casserole spill, we attempted 3x to use this system and the cleaning process was a total failure. The gravy spill on the bottom and mild oil residue on the sides from roasted vegetables was the same as before the cleaning cycle was tried. The cleaning kit accessory from the company was a joke. It consisted of 2 sponges and a small scraper! We purchased the slide in model WEE745HOFS. Buyers of any and all Whirlpool products with Aqualift BEWARE... It does not work. We have since replaced the product with a range with the traditional cleaning process system that has worked for decades in most major brands.

The machine is reliable, does not take forever to do a load, it is relatively quiet. It has sufficient options depending on the size of the load. Additional options are time setting, choice of warm, cold or warm/cold water settings. On light and medium loads it extracts almost all of the water; on heavier loads an extra dry spin does the job. In all the years that we have had it, it has required only one service call. The maintenance man told us that this model is the best in a series and he recommends that we hang on to it for as long as possible. We're very happy with it.

Sounding like a broken record, this washer is such a disappointment! I had high hopes for this top loader and thought I did enough research. Bought a Cabrio in Oct 2016 and have never liked it. They will have you believe it’s your fault... the wrinkly clothes, the clothes not clean enough, the white marks over all your clothes... you can’t change your detergent or softener enough and change the amount enough... it will still be there. So disappointed??? Want my front loader back!

Purchased side-by-side 3 weeks ago. There are 2 adults and 1 kid in my household and the ice maker in the unit does not put out enough ice to handle our small demand, though this was never an issue with the 14 year old Whirlpool that this one replaced! We are using ice trays to supplement what ice the ice maker puts out but the ice trays take up valuable freezer space. Their service reps have inspected it and tell me that it is performing per the specs and when I ask for what the remedy is, there is none... ie. too bad, so sad!! I am apparently on my own with a brand new refrigerator with an ice maker that wont perform up to minimum expectations!

2012 1st year water dispenser stuck, would not stop pouring water until I shut water valve off behind refrigerator. Replaced switch under warranty. 1st year bottom mount freezer stopped working, replaced condenser under warranty. Handle coming off freezer door not replaced. Today Nov 5th past warranty date Oct. 21st 2012. There is ice buildup in bottom of freezer due to a duckbill valve that I just found out about... This is junk and I already replaced the washing machine. Now I am going to replace this fridge if I have to have money to fix this out of pocket. Dont buy whirlpool and i think they make the same thing under other brands like Kitchenaid. My fridge was registered with whirlpool and no one contacted me from whirlpool about the problem they were aware of, to tell me that the valve is free and labor was free for first two years. Now only part is free. What a rip off. My appliances were part of the purchase price of a new home from a developer.

My Cabrio washing machine is 3 years old, and is working the way it has been designed to work. It does not clean clothes and it consistently has a foul odor. Due to the odor, I must use the cleaning cycle with Affresh (pricey product) 3-4 times weekly. Even that is insufficient. Because it is in an indoor laundry area, the odor permeates the hallway and nearby bedrooms. The extra cleaning cycles are contrary to the energy efficiency of the washer, and detrimental to the severe drought conditions in California. When I contacted Whirlpool about my situation, they recommended I substitute bleach for the Affresh to keep the cost down.

What a horrible machine! From the day that it was installed not one time it gave me good cleaning. I spent so much money servicing it. Costed me over $700! I am done putting money into it! I am washing by hand! If you want a dishwasher where you can hand wash and God forbid your rinse with the machine (you will have to rewash everything) then this is the machine for you!

Purchased a new home in Florida. Builder used Whirlpool appliances. For a year opening the refrigerator door has caused breakers to trip off. No matter what builder and Whirlpool do, breakers keep tripping. Cannot sell house with this issue. If someone was counting on electricity for a medical device they could die when refrigerator causes power to go out. Unfortunately, it looks like legal action is the only thing that will save our investment in the house.

Let me just start by saying I have multiple Whirlpool appliances, and I have always bought Whirlpool appliances in the past. I bought a refrigerator 3 months ago, and it quit working. So, I called Whirlpool to come service it. The service repairman said someone left the freezer door open and it froze up. Two days later, I had to call them back again, because now, the fridge part was not keeping food cold. He came back out and told me it was the compressor. I then in return called Whirlpool that afternoon, and they refused to replace it saying they had to follow their Warranty Policy and they would call me back on Wednesday. They did call back on Wednesday and told me they had located the part. I got a call on Tuesday of the following week and was informed they could not locate the part. I called Whirlpool the next day, and they told me they would have to send it to their Exchange department for review and I would hear back from them in 3 business days. I asked for them to rush my request, but they told they have no way of doing that. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again!

Amazing pice. Would recommend to anyone. The heat is great. The oven is amazing. I got this for my birthday and my kids were helping me to get it and I was so excited to receive it I was crying. Amazing machine, wish I had two. Would definitely buy again. I especially love how clean the oven top looks and how the knobs for the burners are easy to use.

Very pleased with my Whirlpool dishwasher. It is not the top of the line but does a great job of cleaning my dishes and is very quiet when running. Whirlpool appliances have been very good to me.

My glass stove top broke for the second time. The first time Whirlpool accused me of dropping something on it and chipping it. I didnt but paid the $400 glass replacement. Today while cooking, I put cold from the fridge not freezer, sausage into a warming fry pan. I heard the same pop I heard 2 years previously...sure enough the glass stove top broke. After a phone call to whirlpool, and hearing they were sorry but theres nothing they can do, I will write as many letters I can so others dont buy whirlpool.

We are so disappointed in the purchase of this machine! It doesnt put enough water in the machine to clean the clothes, and the spin cycle has continuously gotten louder and louder to the point I think its going to explode when it spins! Is there any recourse we have or any recalls on this machine?? Thank you for your help!!!

Overall, I am happy with my Cabrio BUT we purchased a Whirlpool WTW7000DW0 Cabrio top loading washer w/ electronic touch panel in May 2016. We experienced water hammer from day one. I finally had enough yesterday and knowing that the plumbing could be suffering (15 year old condo), purchased 2 Sioux Chief MiniRester, Model 660-H arresters (Lowes at $9.99 each) and had a plumber install them today. I could have but am nursing a fractured rib. Long story short, they work perfectly. There is NO indication elsewhere in the unit that water is even entering the tub unless youre standing right beside it.Ive been told that hammer problems exist in ALL high efficiency washers, all are prone to this problem. I was also told by a Whirlpool support person that the Cabrio is a Samsung design and the pulsing of supply water off and on, over and over is normal operation. If I had been informed when purchasing that hammer is a common problem, I would have installed arresters from the get-go. At the very least, manufacturers should include arresters as a part of the sale; installers should make sure that every new installation includes arresters. All told, I am out just under $200.00 for new technology that really could have been engineered out in the beginning.

My refrigerator will be 3 years old in September. It stopped working two months after my warranty ended, in November Thanksgiving Day. I was so thankful that I had snow on my deck to keep everything cold. I had several family members in my house and watching my husband defrost a frost-free frig? This was a nightmare. Then a few weeks later, my husband company refrigerators did the same thing: freeze up and stop working. He defrosted theirs as well.I know that lots of consumers have had the same issue with any of the bottom freezer refrigerator doing the same thing. I think we, consumers, should make these company recall these lemons. Why should we have to pay more and buy more our parents had their appliances last for years. He had done this approximately 3 times since my warranty ended in September of last year. The problem is the food goes bad, the freezer ices up, causing the refrigerator to ice up and stop the air flow.I contacted the company and this is what they told me: I had to pay $295.12 to get the repair completed. It was the DEF control board. I guess others have the compressor go out and that cost over $600 to fix. Why is it our fault as a consumer buying their products promised and concern for 1 year, not 10 years. It is no wonder why America is broke? My question to the Whirlpool was, how on earth can this be the consumers fault? Here is their reply:According to the model and serial number provided, we do not indicate that there are any known recalls with this particular model. A recall requires that a product poses a threat to a persons life or health. Since this is not the case in this instance, we do not have a recall. Once a product warranty has expired, any costs for maintenance, service, or component replacements are then within the owners time frame of responsibility. Taking this into consideration, I regret to inform you that due to the age of the product, we will be unable to assist with the cost of the repair. If you have purchased an extended warranty, we would recommend contacting your extended warranty provider directly to discuss the options they provide.Oh, they sent me a postcard asking if the repair service I received was good... Yes, the company who came out did a fantastic job. I think I may have to call them back; it is acting up again. I have 90 day warranty....

Washing Machine Model WTW4616FW - I purchased this machine at Home Depot after I had to return my Samsung Costco machine that was recalled due to the glass top flying off. I was attracted to it by its simplicity in design and price. I have had it almost a full year and love it. I like that it has the deep water wash for over-sized items and a full-sized agitator. I was shocked that it was actually Made in America. I highly recommend it and I hope they keep making this reliable machine that gets the clothes clean. Awesome machine without the bells and whistles that I dont expect to breakdown. Way to go Whirlpool!

I chose a Kitchen Aid Stainless Steel, Counter Depth Refrigerator from Lowe’s in early February, 2018. (Model #KRFC300ESS) At the time KA was recommended as the best choice. 1) Within a month there were numerous rust stains on the French door and that needed to be replaced and 2) There is the Damper Control unit which makes a intolerable noise until you replace this motor. This noise then returns....about every three months. Plan on paying just under $200 every year for the life of the refrigerator (at average of 14 years= $2,800!). We have had servicemen to our home now 4 times since our 2/7/18 delivery. A local retailer just rated Appliance Brands in 2020 for reliability and the amount of times serviced and found Kitchen Aid to be 10 of the 10 listed. My recommendation would be to try another brand. This one creates a money pit. :(

1.0 out of 5. This is the absolute worst washer that I have ever owned. Do NOT fall for the top loader hype. The clothes do not get clean. Anything black constantly comes out with a white residue and whites are dingy. Ive tried numerous detergents and used as little as a tablespoon and still get the same results. The company just insists that its too much detergent or that I need to run the clean cycle after every 4-5 loads. The service guy that came out said this is the number 1 complaint with these washers and Ive talked to plenty of friends that experience the same issue. The company would have you think this is the first time they have heard of it.I have spent hours on the phone with whirlpool and Home Depot over the past year and neither accept responsibility or offer any solution other than some free cleaning tablets from Whirlpool and Home Depot offered $200 off the purchase of another washer. This was when the washer was only 6 months old. The only way around this is to rewash the clothes and a second cycle and to wash all loads on bulk load with an extra rinse. Yep. Great water savings there! Save yourself the headache and dont buy a top loader of any brand and I would never buy another appliance of any kind from Whirlpool and Home Depot because of their poor customer service in handling this common issue.

I bought this piece of junk Whirlpool Cabrio washer two years ago and it’s been nothing but junk. Just like everyone else, this thing has never gotten my clothes clean no matter what I do. Anything with a drawstring or straps gets ripped up or stretched out. It’s loud and shakes, even though it’s leveled. Now, to top it off, it’s leaking water from the basket seal. I called Whirlpool and they couldnt give a damn. Since it’s out of warranty, it’s my problem, even though she said they know this machine has a lot of problems. So now Im stuck either fixing this thing or buying a new washer. Every appliance in my house is a Whirlpool and Ive had nothing but problems with several of them. I thought when I bought the brand it was a good brand and they stood behind their stuff. Boy, was I wrong! I will never buy Whirlpool again! They should recall this washer!

My washing machine would not spin dry. I had a new pressure switch replaced to a tune of $180.00 which was only 26 months old. I have always bought Whirlpool but this will be my last whirlpool appliance.

Water saver does not provide enough water to wet the clothes. Even deep wash cycle does not provide enough water. This is right from the start. We should have returned it the next day rather than trying to learn how to use it wasting time so it could never be returned. I rated them as 1 star because there was nothing less I could have given them. DO NOT BUY ANY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS.

Does not get clothes clean. Period!! Takes just over 1hr. Noisy, lasted 3 1/2 years, transmission broke, take the warranty with a washer/dryer. Whirlpool was the top of the line, front loaders give less trouble, agitators clean better, go for the cheaper versions, our loaner Whirlpool, WTW4850H or WTW4950H washes quicker and cleaner than the Cabrio Energy Star.

We purchased Whirlpool dishwasher Model #GU3200XTXB Nov. 2011. Two weeks later they replaced the soap/rinse aid dispenser because the rinse aid was running out the bottom of the dispenser. Feb. 2012 they replaced the handle which was loose. July 2012 the panel lights werent working and that was replaced. Feb. 2014 the soap dispenser door would not open, so the dispenser was replaced again. March 2014 the soap door would not open again so the computer board was replaced & the door did open. However, it stopped again 3 days later. April 2014 the dispenser and the board were both replaced. The rinse aid dispenser did not dispense leaving the inside with moisture on everything. So yesterday the dispenser was again replaced but now the rinse aid is running out the bottom of the dispenser. Thank goodness we purchased an extended warranty for $169 or we would have spent more than $1,000 on repairs!! The warranty company refuses to acknowledge that their lemon law should apply. There are 2 of us and we use it 2/3 times weekly.

I have a 4.5year old Cabrio washer. Ive replaced the water pump 3 times due to a weak plastic part which keeps blowing out due to pressure. Now, the unit is leaking rusty, black fluid from the bottom. I purchased it at HH Gregg in Indianapolis, In. Svs tech called. They have never seen this on such a new unit. Parts and labor will equal $400.00. Calling whirlpool customer care did nothing. I offered to pay the labor of $100, If they would be willing to pay for parts. Talked to a supervisor who offered to sell me an extended warranty costing $300.00. I am a stock owner in Whirlpool, no joy, dissatisfied with faulty product. They are unwilling to make this situation right. The unit is poorly made. I think a $800 unit should last longer than 4-5 years. In 2006, Whirlpool stopped offering a 5 year normal warranty on their units. Supervisor would not let me talk to anyone else.

Whirlpool g2 convect/micro over the stove oven - This top of the line oven is JUNK, KEEP YOUR MONEY-DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK! I have had problem after problem. Starting after only three months. Defected door switch, touch screen, flashing screen, error message. The service repairman and I are on first name bases. Thank goodness for the, out of my pocket warranty which I no longer plan to keep. I NEED A OVEN AND DEFINITELY NOT A WHIRLPOOL.

Purchased this 27 cubic ft French door bottom freezer fridge (WRF757SDEM01) in Sep 2016. Approximately 8 months after, fridge stopped cooling. Called Whirlpool for service diagnosis since fridge was still under warranty. Service tech stated coils were freezing over due to part malfunction and part needed to be replaced and ordered. He provided me with a temporary fix by defrosting all the ice from the coils since the part would take approximately two weeks to come in. I spent an entire day of annual leave from my place of employment for this service call!!! New part was replaced and fridge was cooling like it was supposed to.Here again six months after the part replacement, my fridge was doing the same thing again; NOT COOLING my food AND there was this awful noise coming from the area in which the part was replaced. That drove me CRAZY to the point I would turn it off in short increments to maintain my sanity. I called whirlpool AGAIN, and this time, my fridge is NOW out of warranty, BUT, the replacement part of five months prior should still be in warranty. My fridge failed the day after Thanksgiving and five days after the fact, the service tech will be at my house again.Worst part of this is I took an entire day off work expecting the service tech to come between 8-12 as told to me by the whirlpool customer service rep and guess what? The company called at 1000 and said they only do appointments in my area in the evenings. I was furious; again another day of employment missed at the hands of Whirlpool. I am not confident that the same part that was replaced in May is defective and I may be going through spouts of an inoperable fridge again and again. Whirlpool really needs to take a hard look at recalling these fridges OR providing quality appliances for the money that we pay. I had GE appliances in my old house and NEVER had issues with the refrigerator. My new builder choose whirlpool and made the wrong choice! I just want a refrigerator that will work operate for the $2100.00 that I paid. I will NEVER recommend whirlpool appliances to anyone... Never!!!

I bought a Whirlpool duet washer and dryer. These appliances are still under one-year warrantee. My washing machine was broken for four weeks, and they have been unable to receive all of the parts needed to repair it. They have made three appointments to fix the machine, telling me that they have the parts and only to cancel the appointment the night before. I have tried to get Pacific Sales to exchange the broken machine, but they will not do that or compensate in any way. This is a top of the line model; I would have been better off with a low-priced model, and I might actually have a machine that worked. Whirlpool supposedly had the parts on back order, which is not what Whirlpool informed me when I was able to reach them.

My old GE was better. I have to clean my Whirlpools filter once a month due to hard water - was wondering why my plastic cups had a white film - that was why. I have to put the knives and forks with the points facing up. My old dishwasher I could put the silverware in any way I wanted in the silverware compartment. My old one was quiet/my whirlpool I can hear it from the bedroom????

Informed that because washer was 1 year out of warranty. It was 2 years old. Parts were not guaranteed. Cost to repair $400.00 including labor. Maytag Store came to my rescue and it only cost $200.00. 2 years later, washer is not filling with water correctly. Have mixed feelings about repairing or replacing. If replacing, how to select a reliable washer. How do you select, if when we purchased this washer it was rated very high. Whirlpool does not help with any issue. They were extremely rude. Felt helpless dealing with them. Need a new washer and have no idea which brand to go with.

We bought this Whirlpool two door side by side refrigerator freezer at Lowes at what seem like a good deal, until the problems start. On the refrigerator side everything freezes just as solid as the freezer side. We get to looking and find there is no air filter/damper installed. Try to call Whirlpool and you can forget it. 37 Minutes wait time, then a recording comes back and says now your wait time is 47 minutes, long story short you just get put on hold. No help what so ever. Lowes did give us an air filter. But we still got rock solid fresh eggs in the refrigerator. So it was not such a great deal after all. My wife has one big headache and mad as a hornet at Whirlpool. Bet we dont buy another Fridge from them. If I were you Id stay away from Whirlpool products. Have a great day.

We bought this 26 cu ft fridge from Nebraska Furniture Mart in April 2017. In November stopped making ice. Was repaired. Now it’s not working again. Multiple enquirers shows this is a common problem with this fridges. I’m debating whether it’s worth the effort to repair it or just put in junkyard. WORTHLESS piece of shiny metal.

When I first purchased the dishwasher I had to call Whirlpool to come out because although I was using a drying agent as Cascade, the dishwasher lower door remained wet causing water onto the utensils. Whirlpool came out and said it would take a few washes until the inner part of the D/W would acclimate to the drying agent. Well the lower door where the utensils basket sits does not dry in its entirety so its a defect, not the drying agent. Also, the decibel 55 is quite loud we cant run the dishwasher during the day, its too noisy and distracting.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and there is a bearing problem (which seems to be the common issue reported). The washer is unusable at less than 5 years of age.

Bought a Whirlpool standing freezer EV161NZTQ 10/8/2013. Been fine to a week ago and meat was soft, not frozen and veggies on door soft. Dont hear compressor cycling on and off anymore. Still under warranty so well see what repairman says. Things just dont last anymore. Last Frigidaire freezer lasted 10 years but they werent rated good by consumer reports.

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator from Sears and within a month the refrigerator side did not maintain temperature where milk would not spoil... Cool but never cold. I called Sears and they said its Whirlpool warranty to contact them. This I did and about a week later they contacted a local service company they use to maintain their equipment... Long story short this will be the 4th time they were informed the refrigerator still doesnt maintain temperature... Food had to be thrown out because of that.I asked them to refund me my cost or at minimum get a working refrigerator to me because after 4 attempts at trying to fix the problem it still exists... They just want to keep sending a repairman out there who still cant figure out the problem and that has cost me much time away from work not the mention the spoiled food costs... Even when complaining my dilemma to the repairman he said, All they will do is keep calling us and kick the can down the road... They could care less about what it has cost me in time and money... I had to give 1 star to this company but they dont deserve even that one... Dont waste you time thinking a warranty by them is worth a flip and now over 3 months Im without a refrigerator...

The Whirlpool refrigerator I ordered from Home Depot came to my house dented. I then had to get Maytag/Whirpool to send me the same model refrigerator which they then subsequently forgot to include the ice maker with the refrigerator. It has been nothing short of an act of Congress to get in touch with someone from their Customer Service department for them to send the ice maker that they forgot to include. Ive had to call them at least 15 times to get them to resend the missing ice maker. Absolute nightmare. 10/10 will avoid buying Whirlpool in the future.

Love my Whirlpool stove and I just bought a Whirlpool French door fridge. I also have a Whirlpool washer and dryer and I am very happy with the way they work and look. I replaced my Tappan stove that I had for quite a while and it was a good stove but I am very happy with my Whirlpool stove, it not only works great but it looks great.

I bought the most deluxe and expensive washer and dryer I have ever owned. It is a Whirlpool Cabrio. The clothes come out of the washer dry, and all tangled up. I bought it new from Sears on July 2009. Now only two years old, and the washer sounds like a jet plane. I paid a repairman $90.00 only to be told this is common in this machine. The repair is expensive, and I would be better off buying a new one! I owned a cheap, little GE washer, which cost me $300; ten years, and never had a problem. Now my dream machine turned out to be a piece of crap. I will never buy a Whirlpool again!

Purchased Black Ice French Door refrigerator in December 6, 2012. Used warranty first year due to loud noise & replaced whole back panel in top part. They seemed to know it was a design flaw. Thought all would be well. Purchased extended warranty for second year and did not need so did not extend again. Now it has been 2 years and 7 months and the ice maker had to be shut off due to water running down outside. The refrigerator is no longer cold enough--60 Degrees (too warm) and freezer door would not close all the way (had to duct tape it shut). I certainly expected it to last longer than that for a $2300 fridge. The old Kenmore was 15 years old and still worked. After reading all these reviews it is time for a class action lawsuit! We have to buy another now but it wont be Whirlpool!

I have a Cabrio washing machine and the circuit board has gone bad. I understand from Whirlpools customer service that if your machine was made before 2005, they are fixing the issue. Mine was made after 2006. Even though the problem is the same, Whirlpool will not correct the problem. I was told it was fixed in the new machines. The circuit board goes bad and you have to start and stop the machine at least three times before it will start your cycle, then it stops again at the 17 minute mark and you have to cancel and start the machine again for it to finish its cycle. The error is F1. Customer service acknowledged that this is a known problem for the Whirlpool machines built before 2005 but deny any claim that is is happening to the machines after 2005. Looking at all the other complaints, it is still a problem. I am disappointed in Whirlpool for their customer service attitude and for them not standing behind their product and fixing a known problem. I have always bought Whirlpool products but going forward will be switching to a better company. Shame on you Whirlpool. For a machine I spent $1000 on, the part is going to cost $300 to fix.

Purchased this electric range Maytag model YMES8800FZ1 in September 2017. Thought it was just like my old range with self cleaning mode. Beware! Do Not buy this or anything with this new AquaLift self clean technology. That means youre down on your hands and knées, scrubbing. It doesn’t work. Read all the reviews about this new technology. Salesman never informed us. We innocently bought the range with self cleaning, paid lots of money, for crap! Very upset. Will spread the word for all future buyers, pay attention to the self clean mode on what youre buying, cause no one will tell you. Now trying to reach Maytag, but apparently they don’t care.
