We bought the Whirlpool Gold Stainless Steel dishwasher around 4 years ago and the pump and motor assembly went out. We spent top dollar on this dishwasher and should of lasted a lot longer. I’m no longer going to buy anything Whirlpool makes.

Before a year was up after purchasing 4 Whirlpool appliances for our kitchen, our refrigerator needed a new compressor. Of course, they covered the cost because it wasnt a year old yet. After much complaining, they gave me a whopping extra 3 months coverage, until Jan. 2014. Now we have water leaking on the floor and ice collecting on the bottom of the freezer drawer. What a piece of junk! I had sent an e-mail to Whirlpool after the compressor situation telling them that I would never buy from them again and would have nothing good to say about them. No one responded. Goes to show that Whirlpool could care less about their customers satisfaction. Never again will I buy anything Whirlpool makes. By the way, our old frig is in our mud room working absolutely fine.

Whirlpool gas range Model#wfg10h0ah1 with aqua lift technology. This is the biggest ripoff that was ever done to me. It say self clean, not it cleans and then you clean. This is fraud plain and simple. I am handicapped and made it very clear to the salesperson that it had to be self cleaning. 4 times I did the clean cycle and I was in shock, I called repair, I thought the self clean was broken. However this is the line they give you over and over, that its not broken. This is working the way it was designed to work. So they made a range that is self cleaning, but no it doesnt do that. For 899.99, I did not deserve to get duped like this.

My fridge stainless steel doors rusted on after Whirlpool Customer Service told me to buy and use Affresh (a Whirlpool product) to clean them! The fridge was only 12 days old when this occurred, imagine my shock and disappointment. Whirlpool Customer Service reps then sent me another one of their products Whirlpool Stainless Steel Brightener with instructions to clean it every day for 3 weeks and it would resolve the rust problem. It didnt resolve the rust problem. 2 repairmen from different companies have looked at the doors and shook their heads that Whirlpools own Customer Service department recommended a product for a fridge that rusted it and then they take no responsibility for it! Whirlpool knows these stainless steel fridges have the potential to rust. Its listed in their manual. Unfortunately, buyers arent given a copy of that manual to peruse BEFORE they buy the product. I would never have purchased this Whirlpool fridge had I seen that! I have now since read of other Whirlpool stainless steel fridges rusting.

The dishwasher keypad failed after 1.5 years, went through 2 gas ranges, peeling paint and orange flame in less than a year. Now dealing with the washer, the pump is spitting out white plastic after less than a year. No more Whirlpool in this house.

Read reviews on the same washer (Cabrio Whirlpool) that I had purchased in January 2017. I have the same problem everyone else has with it, not cleaning the clothes. It was such a disappointment. Had a Whirlpool front in loader for 15 years. Loved it! But the washing machines without the agitator on it is a laugh. What person thought up that design. What a joke on the poor unknowing people that purchased one. Im also upset at G&H Appliances for not standing by their products they sell. Found out that Lowes has a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on what they sell. Not buying from Lowes and buying a washer without on agitator on it. Was two big mistakes I made. I wanted to help out a small local business, but wont be doing that again. They sure are not worried about me.

I purchased Whirlpool top loading washing machine model # WTW57ESVW less than 2 years ago. It stopped working yesterday. I had a trusted professional repairman evaluate it today. The motor needs to be replaced after less than 2 years?! The customer service reps basically said sorry. I should have purchased the extended warranty. Is it not reasonable to trust that a Whirlpool washing machine motor should last more than 2 years.I am very unhappy and very angry that Whirlpool will not stand behind their product. The last customer service rep I spoke to suggested she could send one of their repairmen and replace the motor at a cost to me of $299.00. So, after less than 2 years, I am offered an amount to pay of about half the cost I paid less than 2 years ago for the brand new washing machine. My home is full of Whirlpool appliances. I have been a good and loyal customer for over 30 years. I am very angry and upset with Whirlpool. Please explain to me why it is not reasonable for me to trust and believe that a Whirlpool top loading machine that is well cared for and not abused in any fashion should last longer than 2 years? Is this being a loyal Whirlpool customer gets you, I should have purchased the extended warranty”? We are talking about a motor here, not a fabric or bleach dispenser that breaks. I went to Lowes and purchased a new kitchen full of appliances. The refrigerator is the bottom freezer, French door with water inside. The problem is the freezer stays cold and the refrigerator does not. The vent from the freezer gets frozen, and the refrigerator part stops working. Its only 3 years old . We were told it would cost 700 bucks to fix it, and that a power surge could make it happen again. The capitol of power surges, Florida, what a complete waste of money. I spent my life in retail selling their products. Im so sorry to all who have purchased from me... Its really a terrible product. I would give you all a refund if I could. This really hurts...

My Whirlpool refrigerator, model number ET8MHJKXM005, constantly leaks water into the bottom inside of the refrigerator. Its only 4 years old, for crying out loud! I have a repairman coming over in a few days who tells me the newer Whirlpool refrigerators are notorious for having the drain ice up. Why would Whirlpool design such garbage? They should all be recalled.

Purchased a Whirlpool washer 14 months ago... however just unboxed the washer. Installed it in our new home. Now after just two, repeat, two months of use, there is water all over the hardwood floors... The front door seal is gone to the tune of $100 but what about my floors!!!!!! Im so discouraged after reading all the complaints that Im falling out of my chair. Seal design has been the same on most all their front loaders. DO NOT BUY A FRONT LOADING WHIRLPOOL WASHING MACHINE. YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU DID. Yes they look pretty. Bought a Whirlpool dishwasher about 2 years ago. Used it once a day for one year. The bushings already need replacing (maybe $3 to make) and it’s $270 for the part or $280 for whole motor. Do the math. Not impressed.

Purchased a whirlpool water heater 04/08/2005 and it worked for a short time. It had a 6 year warranty. I had to replace the thermocoupler assembly 1 time and it worked fine until last week. 09/02/1011, 4 months after warranty ran out, the unit started leaking severely from the top ? (Could of understood the bottom) here. After investigating further and being told to basically pound salt by the warranty number I called, I removed the top cove r(glued on by spray in insulation) and carved away the spray in insulation. All the bosses/threaded fittings for the inlet outlet and anode rod were all leaking under the insulation where it could not be seen! I know for a fact this unit was leaking long before the warranty expired! But because of the way it is built it is impossible to see it!. I strongly feel this was a manufacturing defect and there are hundreds if not thousands of these units in people houses all over the country!

As long as Whirlpool continues to use JB Hunt for delivery and installation service of their products, I would stay away from ordering. JB Hunt visited my home 3 times, and each time left with the dishwasher as they arrived without the appropriate tools to perform a basic installation. Whirlpool also sent 2 damaged dishwashers that could not be installed. Buyer beware.

We purchased the Whirlpool Duet Sport matching washer and dryer new in 2006 from a local appliance store. The washer was around $1,000. The salesman sold us on the load capacity, telling us it can wash 15 pairs of jeans. We dont overload it, mostly because its a high-efficiency washer and doesnt use much water (Im still trying to figure out the concept of how can you clean a whole load of laundry with a little bit of water). Its very quiet, but the cycles take longer than standard washers.Also, you must use very little soap (too much soap will cause the washer to stop and display an error code, which youll have to call a technician to come and reset). It is now 2013, and the washer started thumping during a cycle and there was a burning rubber smell. We called an appliance repairman who gave us an estimate for repair of $800 to $900 (for a bad bearing/bearing casing and inner basket). Im sure that there was quite a markup on those parts! It seems to me that the older non-efficient washers lasted longer than 7 years, and certainly didnt cost $1,000 when new.

Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer: nice job Whirlpool! You designed a washer that breaks if you accidentally wash a coin! For the second time in a few months, were fixing our washer because a coin was in a pocket. The coin gets sucked into the discharge pump and sounds like popcorn popping when it drains. It rattles around the inside of the machine’s pump until it breaks the plastic pump housing. You will know when this happens because there will be water on your floor. Did you ever consider a screen to prevent a coin from ruining the washer? God forbid someone leaves a coin in their pocket. Well, if you leave a coin in your pocket and wash your jeans, it will cost you a repair every time with this hunk of junk. This would be my last Whirlpool. It will actually be cheaper to throw this thing out and buy a new one, since it won’t be the last time a coin accidentally makes it into the washer.

I Bought the Whirlpool Duet Steam Mod#: WFW95HEDC0 in 2015. I have always wondered how a machine can get clothes clean with less water but liked the idea of the energy star and saving water. However, I found that I was right and the clothes do not get very clean. They do not even get all wet hence the dry feeling when they are done. I just recently got a little frustrated at having to rewash some things by hand afterwards. I started to pretreat and wash out stains by hand beforehand. That helped some. I finally stopped the machine after all the water was done filling it and it tumbled a bit. It looked like it was wet from the window but when I dug through the clothes I pulled out a t-shirt that was almost bone dry. Some of the other thicker clothes like jeans etc. had a lot of dry spots too. This is why the odors don’t come out and why spots and lines are left where the dry meets the wet. There just isn’t enough water get all the material wet. I then proceeded to pour a pail of water in to get all the clothes wet. When I started it back up, it drained some of the water and I still had the problem. So now I get all the clothes wet in the sink before I put them in the washer. It’s amazing how clean they got and they didn’t have the body odors either. I think this machine would be fine if it could be reprogrammed to add more water for cycles. I know that would change the “Energy Star” but this water saving idea is bogus if we have to rewash and add more water to the cycles. At this point I will be looking for a new machine that doesn’t have the energy star but allows me to adjust the water myself. I do not trust these machines anymore.

I just finished a call with Sears Repair. I informed them that this was the 5th service call since purchasing this Whirlpool Cabrio washer two years ago. The washer simply does not work. It fails to complete its cycle; fails to spin; fails to drain; fails to fill; leaves clothes streaked and dirty, smelly, and dripping wet for me to wring out by hand. I purchased it because of my faith in Sears and its Energy Saver label. I often have to wash the same load 2 or even 3 times to get it clean; no more than 6 towels at a time. (It is a large capacity washer, but acts up most often when washing towels or jeans.)Im a retired teacher; and in my best teacher voice – calm but serious – said that I would like Sears to come and take it away, issue me a credit or refund, or I would proceed to file with the Small Claims Court. His immediate response was, I dont appreciate the threat. I carefully (teacher voice) explained that it was not a threat... it was information. Yes, Im angry. But more than that, I am so disappointed in Sears, a company that I have always been loyal to – no more. Time to leave childhood behind and wake up to the reality that this is not the same Sears Ive dealt with for the last sixty years. Now, I’m to drive 25 miles of country roads to a Laundromat.

I purchased a new park model house with Whirlpool appliances. The fridge door is crooked in 2 directions. It is only adjustable in 1 directions. Top to bottom. After 5 months of trying to deal with whirlpool and being told my warranty is void because of adjusting the door according to their manual. They also tell me that warranty will not cover factory flaws which the crooked door obviously is. Whirlpool will never darken my door again except on the way out. Whirlpool sucks!

I purchased the Whirlpool Duet washing machine October 2010. When I first got the washing machine, it shook the house (new stick built house) when it was on the spin cycle. They had a repair man come out to tell me that there was nothing wrong with it, it was fine as it was. We thought it was ridiculous, but we are young and didnt know better. He also told us we should fill up the washing machine more than what we where because the clothes wash better when its packed. Big mistake on our behalf! The washing machine has ate thousands of dollars worth of clothing. We did what we where told, so we thought we were doing something wrong. Little did we know we were doing nothing wrong. It was the machine. Then a sock found its way to the drainage field which let water pour out of the washing machine throughout the laundry room and going to the rest of the house. What a mess. We called and they found the problem and removed the sock. Still didnt fix the damaged clothing issue. I called them 1 year and 7 days after we got it and Whirlpool still wont cover their product. They said they where sorry they couldnt help. Well couldnt and wont are two separate things. Its a shame they wont stand behind their product after I bought over $6,000 appliances from them. You think theyd be a little more compassionate to their customers after spending that much money? Now you know how they treat their customers. Dont buy Whirlpool. They (Whirlpool, Maytag, etc. ) are maybe cheaper than their competitors, but its probably worth the extra money if you know theyll stand behind their product. Very unhappy customer!

My complaint is basically the same as all the others. Clothes do not come clean in my brand new Whirlpool washer. Ive had two other Whirlpools, and they were fine. This one, however, is a piece of junk. One of the main problems is that the washer is designed to use only lukewarm water, even on the hot setting, it does not use hot water. Another problem is too little water. Another irritating factor is the constant locking of the lid. Another problem is the constant starting and stopping of the agitator. This cannot be good for the motor. Im at the point of giving away my new washer which Ive had for exactly one week. This is a totally inferior product, and I feel that I have been really ripped off.

We thought we were going to love it. It has two bottom freezers so the capacity is fabulous, but the ice maker location subtracts shelf space. Love the French doors, but we can never find anything quickly. The biggest issue is the popping noises it makes that are sleep stealing in the night.

I bought a house and for the first time in my life, I was able to afford and buy all new Whirlpool appliances at Sears. I worked so hard all my life and was so happy I could get new appliances when I was almost 50 years old. Up until then, I could only afford to get used appliances. Even then I had to finance them with a credit card, only to be so sad and disappointed. They are without a doubt the ** junk I have ever had. I wish I could have all my old appliances back. My new Whirlpool flat top oven burns everything and has ruined all my pots and pans. I do canning every year and it has ruined my very old and heavy pressure cookers. Even when you turn the heat all the way to low, it burns everything. I called the manufacturer and they say they do not have to disclose that it will ruin your pressure cookers or burn everything. I am very angry I bought any Whirlpool appliances. I also got a new washer and dryer; they are junk too. They dont clean my clothes like my old washer and everything is so wrinkled up when it comes out of the dryer. I need to iron everything. I have never seen anything like it. I also bought a Whirlpool hot water tank that has now gone out 2 times in 5 years because the thermostat burns out. I pray it doesnt burn my house down one of these days. One of the times it went out, I was about 10 feet away from it and it literally blew up and about gave me a heart attack. It was so loud and scared the bejezzers out of me. Whirlpool, you suck. I have told everyone I can tell how much junk your appliances are. Your company should have to be accountable for selling people such **! I would sure like to be paid not only for the cost of these junky appliances but also all my quality pressure cookers, ruined clothes and distress this has caused me. They have no consequences. They have gotten away with ripping people off and giving a lot of us tons of stress, stress, stress, and anxiety, not to mention all the financial cost. Thanks, Whirlpool, you piece of junk! I think if I had not worked so hard to finally get what I thought at the time were high quality new appliances, I wouldnt be so affected but I dont have the money now to get new quality appliances. We bought the refrigerator end of November 2017 but didnt start using till February 2018. March/April stopped working completely. Since it was on warranty, we got repaired. End of December stopped working completely again. Few days after the warranty expired. We got few Whirlpool products with our order in November. Washer was already repaired too. We will never buy Whirlpool again!

Whirpool has its main washers, then the off brand of Whirlpool. After using the washer after a few months the balance starts to get off balance. Trying to find parts and get them put in is easy, hard part is replacing them after they wear off after use a few months.

I bought my Whirlpool Duet set with pedestal in February 2008. I just had a tech here to figure out why my machine is so loud during agitation and that I cant hear anything else. He said its the drum hitting something. I never overload my machine - just normal use for 4 years. It costs more to repair the machine than to buy a new one. Now, after seeing this information, Im not the only one who has this problem with my Whirlpool washer. I am disappointed that there isnt anything else the Whirlpool company tech can do for me - just a receipt that shows the parts alone cost $600.00. Now, I have to pay about $50.00 just to get rid of what from the outside looks like a perfectly good machine.

I have always had a whirlpool dishwasher and have always been please until my last dishwasher. The part that holds the soap and liquid stuff has broken and also the part that holds the silverware. Been really disappointed in this product.

This washer has been a lemon since the day we bought it. Always leaves marks all over dark clothes. Had to have a part replaced before we owned it a year & repairman from the company said they have to replace that same part every time they go out so they carry them on the truck. Latch broke after owning it for less than 2 years & now it no longer spins water out of clothes. All this & we havent even owned it 3 years. I had a GE washer for years when I first got married & had children. Never had problems like this. Paid it off on Monday & on Friday it became a piece of junk. How is Whirlpool getting away with this misrepresentation? I dont even see how they can call it a washer.

I bought this machine in September of 2014. Six months later I HATE IT!! It does NOT get the clothes clean and dont even try to bleach white towels or socks, it doesnt pump the correct amount of hot water and things come out just as dirty as when they went in. It tangles everything together and frequently stops working because it unbalances the load with its lack of water. Ive always been proud of how my familys laundry looked and now Im just embarrassed. Im considering donating this to a human society for dog towels. Stay away from this washer, its horrible. Im going to the laundromat and shopping for a new machine ASAP!

We have a Whirlpool with freezer on top, nothing fancy in the apartment we rent. Twice the lines have clogged up with ice, causing the water to pool in the bottom of the fridge and then leak onto the floor. The maintenance man said this was a common problem in the complex with the refrigerators. Tonight, I heard noise coming out of the fridge. It was so loud it scared the cat. I went to check on it and a juice bottle had exploded in the fridge. It cannot keep an appropriate temperature. Things up front are barely cool and things at the back freeze. We are moving and unfortunately, the house we are buying has Whirlpool as well. When it comes time to replacing the refrigerator, it will not be a Whirlpool!

Aqualift cleaning does not work. I am old with bad knees and do not need an oven that has to be cleaned manually. This technology is a joke and everyone who bought one should be reimbursed. One reviewer indicated that there should be a class action lawsuit for this situation. I agree!

FRUSTRATION!!! It is unbelievable that even appliances have become DISPOSABLE! Where are the days of when our parents bought well made appliances that LASTED 20 years with NO problems??? There was satisfaction knowing that a purchase of an appliance was $$ well spent! These days it costs MORE to replace parts than IF you purchased a brand new machine! We purchased BRAND NEW Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer AND dryer in 2007. The washer has been repaired a total of 5 times and the dryer 3 times!!! IN A SPAN OF 10 YEARS! Are you serious?! With the $$ spent on warranties/ labor/ parts: WE could have purchased new appliances. What is WRONG with this picture? IT IS ALL about making money on REPLACING PARTS/WARRANTIES/LABOR!!! Forget the consumer that is spending THEIR hard earned money to buy the appliances initially. Short of going to a laundromat, the consumer needs to purchase a washer & dryer. So I guess it is a vicious cycle of REPAIRS/REPAIRS AND MORE REPAIRS!!!

I purchased a 30 gallon gas hot water heater from Lowes in 2013. Within the first 3 months, it went out. I contacted whirlpool who troubleshot the heater 4 different times. Final contact was in early 2014, I requested a tech to look at the heater. Was informed it is now over a year old, it would be at my cost. Replacement parts $30. Shipping the water heater is great if you like cold showers. After a little searching, I find they know this water heater is junk as does Lowes but dont care.

Whatever you do, dont ever buy a Whirlpool French door refrigerator. For the last 5 months this $2,200 error in our judgement has not worked. We purchased it late last September and were so excited to enjoy this sleek machine. Wrong. In November a controller broke and the refrigerator portion froze over freezing everything and blowing apart the deli drawer. Then the ice maker was not working, it topped out at about 10 cubes a day. After that it acquired the lovely habit of shutting off every several minutes. 24 hours a day. Every time it would turn back on it would chime. 24 hours a day. And neither the refrigerator nor freezer portion would maintain temperature. Whirlpool keeps sending people out, turning us into their Guinea Pig while they try to come up with a solution. The chiming has finally stopped but we still dont have an ice maker and the light is intermittent. Another repair man is due tomorrow. So unless you have countless hours to spend waiting for and dealing with repairmen, making phone calls and enjoying throwing away spoiled food, dont waste your money with this company.

On October 25, 2014, I lost my home, all of my belongings, and nearly lost my wife when my Whirlpool range model xfe371lvbo shorted out and caught fire. After spending thousands of dollars for an independent investigation to be conducted on the stove, it was determined that the control panel on the console shorted out, causing the fire. Since then, I havent had any response back from Whirlpool. I am in the process of meeting the required criteria for filing a claim, but have some questions, and everyone seems to be ignoring me. Please help.

Whirlpool fridge (model no ETILFKXKS) - I purchased this fridge from a very good dealer (Trail Appliances, Edmonton). Within a year, I had my first of the frozen water drain from top freezer to water pan. Of course, I blamed myself - too much warm food, blah blah. Now this is happening more and more often. The fridge is kept at number 1 of 5 for coldness. All foods are left on counter to cool, but three times over my Christmas holidays this year when I swore I would throw this fridge in the garbage - the drain froze, water all over the fridge, food having to be removed and placed in other peoples fridges, blah blah. Now it did it again this weekend! There are only two living here. I work all day and no one even opens the fridge much and again this happened. Im really sad that such a faulty product (too much insulation hiding the drain pipe behind the fridge and it must be much too small in diameter; otherwise, it wouldnt freeze up). Talking about work. We have two fridges there with 50 people using them all day and they run perfectly for the last 8 years that I have been there. So I think it indicates that my fridge is faulty. Im so sad too because I dont have the money for a new one. I just turned 65 and am about to retire (single mom). You would think that a $1,300 fridge would last longer than 6 years!

I bought this piece of junk heater (serial no. 0804T411536) from Lowes and had their contract plumber install it in or about 2008. Since that time, I have had nothing but trouble with it. It just doesnt stay lit. Every plumber who works on it tells me that they have numerous problems with them and they cannot repair them - the customer has to get the part from Whirlpool. And today the woman I talked to told me that I had to pay the shipping charges, which vary according to how quickly one wants hot water! I personally find that a true rip off. If you cant guarantee the product you put on the market, then dont put it out there. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance or shop at Lowes!

I purchase newly Whirlpool washing machine but it was not working from the first day of my purchase. So many service Engineer came but nobody can solve the problem, so I suggest to all please don’t buy washing machine from Whirlpool. I am very disappointed from this company.

This microwave had been the best I have used for several reasons. One is the modern design that goes with our kitchen. Two: it heats the food very quietly and produced an even temperature through out the food. Three; The inside of the microwave is easy to clean out.

First the ice maker stopped making ice and then the freezer stopped freezing. The unit is 2 1/2 years old. Whirlpool wants $1800 to repair! No Way. Purchased a Samsung and hope I do better with this one. So little to be praised about this American brand.

In August 2011, I purchased and had installed a Whirlpool Wall Oven RBS305PVQ04 for $1000+. In July 2014, the oven failed with blown internal fuses and a thermostat $225+. In November 2014, the oven failed again, this time with a failed controller board. Whirlpool claims there are no replacement parts after just three years! In calling Whirlpool customer service for help, they basically said tough luck! NO parts, NO adjustments, NO service, you own a boat anchor. I tried to buy American; boy, was that a mistake. So it cost me $415 per year to own this LEMON. DO NOT DEAL WITH THE WHIRLPOOL COMPANY!

Every appliance Ive ever owned has been a Whirlpool product. I am on my second set of Cabrio washers and dryers. I havent had any issues with the dryers, but the washers are a different story. My first washer, bought in 2008, started throwing water and oil underneath while spinning. A service technician came out... I had to have the entire tub replaced seeing as how the bearings that went bad were in the motor/spinning assembly that was built into the tub. I moved in 2011 and needed another washer and dryer. I was told the problem had been addressed. Now Im having the same problem... the washer is so loud when spinning, you can hear it on the opposite end of the house with doors closed! So the bearing problem has NOT BEEN ADDRESSED!!! Whirlpool will not stand by this product!! Loyalty is not a factor in their assistance... Only profit!!!

Cabrio Top Load Washer model WTW6800WW1 - Although we were very happy with the vendor where this was purchased and happy with the majority of the washer function; there is a problem with the cabinet & lid connectors rusting. Specifically, the lid connector on the left side totally rusted out, and also around the bleach cup, rust. There are also rust spots where the seam of the top section of the washer meets the bottom part. The washer was purchased in 2009. We have had it serviced in the past, prob 5 years ago, it needed a new motor and the rust was beginning to show then, while under warranty. I recently called Whirlpool and the associate told me that she had never received a call with regard to this type of problem. She did give me names and phone numbers of appliance repair in my area. I find it odd that Whirlpool would not make their associates aware of issues like this. I searched online and saw more than a few complaints about rust. So on it goes, no recourse, and as I read about the problem from others reporting this; it was mentioned that the vapors from the bleach cup etc, contribute to the rust. Additionally, even if it was under warranty, I was told that this is considered cosmetic and it would not be covered. Until... and I can only suppose, that until the lid possibly falls off while lifting, the cosmetic ruling may then turn into a function problem. Now there is also a squeaking sound, so off to call the appliance repair, check the cost and next time... buyer beware. I guess a lesson in science as well, hopefully this design flaw will be corrected for the next models in process.

Whirlpool Gas Range WFG540H0es - Purchased 2 months ago. After 2 weeks there was a spill. The black burner caps are powder coated. After cooling we washed it with dish detergent & a sponge. The powder coating came off. Called the company. They replaced burner caps. Last week there was a spill and it stained the burner bases which are powder coated in a silver color. We tried 409 cleaner, Windex, dish detergent with a sponge. Could NOT get the stain out started removing powder coating. Called the company they ONLY guarantee cosmetic appearance 30 days. They wanted $139.00 for a new set of burner bases. I am going to go back to Lowes & see if we can return this Whirlpool range.

I bought a 40 gal. Whirlpool water heater from Lowes. It was just outside the 6-year warranty when the pilot light went out and wont relight. I called Whirlpool. They are about as worthless as box of rocks. They refuse to replace the thermocoupling free of charge or at least no shipping charge, when they know in fact there is a problem. It was because no class action lawsuit was filed. Its too bad for the customers. I wished they would have just said: “lady, please take your business somewhere else.” It would have made things easier. Or, better yet, they should just put a sign on their water heaters in the store stating: “If you have problems with our product, sorry about your luck. ** you and have a nice day.”

We bought this at Lowes. Initially, they got the color wrong. It took two trips to get the right color (white) then a third trip because all the parts were not there to install the dishwasher. After a few months the second shelf rail end caps fell apart. Now, after a couple of years the pump goes out. RUN from this manufacturer.

We bought our new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer & Dryer combo from Lowes on the north side of San Antonio, TX, for delivery when our new home was completed in Blanco, TX. Delivery & setup went smoothly. But it wasnt long before we both noticed something wrong with the washer. What was supposed to be one of the quietest washers on the market was far from it! -- loud grinding & thumping noises when the spin cycle would kick in. Whirlpool service dept was called and a repair tech was dispatched - 4 TIMES! The tech from Appliance Science spends most of his time on his phone talking to tech support, and has pretty much changed out parts at will! The motherboard, the pump, the clutch, the splutch have all been changed, to no use!We still experience problems with the washer NOT spinning, or only spinning for a short time, and the clothes still soaking wet! Its a good thing the dryer works well, because the washer is a dud, and we cant do a damn thing about it! Weve been told by Whirlpool service that since we have a repair warranty, we cannot get a replacement washer because we dont have a replacement warranty. Ive never heard something so ridiculous! Color us highly dissatisfied in TX!

My old GE was better. I have to clean my Whirlpools filter once a month due to hard water - was wondering why my plastic cups had a white film - that was why. I have to put the knives and forks with the points facing up. My old dishwasher I could put the silverware in any way I wanted in the silverware compartment. Whirlpool Water Heater FG1F4040S3NOV - I had this water heater installed in 2005 by a professional plumber and every year since like clockwork, I have to replace the gas control valve/thermostat. Last year, Sears came and did the work and made their arrangements to have the part replaced. This year 2012, March 9 my gas control valve went again. The unit is not even a year old and broke again. Unfortunately, the six-year warranty is up on the hot water tank. I called Whirlpool two times. The first time, the guy told me that the warranty was up and hung up on me! The second time, the guy would not honor the replacing of a part that is not even a year old yet. The money I spent over the six years making repair on it, I could have bought a new one. This company is nothing but a bunch of **. Is there anything that I can do? I have paid to replace this five years in a row.

We have a new home with a Whirlpool gold refrigerator that has been fixed twice in 3 years for not cooling adequately (over 45 degrees), a dishwasher that the mother board has gone out twice with 3 different service calls (repairman recommended trashing and buying a new one), microwave that is rusted out on inside door below glass, and washer with horrid smell if you dont wash with bleach weekly and dryer whose sensor doesnt sense anymore after 2 service calls!!! I cannot believe the poor customer service and lack of responsibility the company has taken on these not inexpensive products!! Like others on this post they will not acknowledge problems and tell me I should have bought extended warranty. I am so angry - there should be some sort of law that allows recourse for such bad behavior!

I have had to replace soap dispenser three times and it is broken again. I also have to use the best soap or my dishes are dirty. It is three years old and is now leaking. I would never buy this brand again.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer - The washer does not stay balanced even with a very small load (even though advertised can wash King size comforter). Even with a light load, we have to put the dryer on Heavy Duty or Bulky...and usually have to dry a second time. When attempted to contact Whirlpool, no help available. WORST PRODUCT I HAVE EVER PURCHASED... Would not even want to GIVE this set to a friend or family member. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.

Bought this model #WTW8500DC from Lowes in 2015. Ever since had problems. Stopping in the middle, not starting, recently keeps running water, lid lock issues, had multiple service calls and multiple hardware changes, paid extra for extended warranty from Whirlpool hoping that within a year all problems would be gone after so many repairs. Boys I was wrong. After spending around $1200 between this machine and the extended warranty, three year later after the warranty expired now I am stuck with this non-functional piece of junk and looking for another washing machine. Would love to hear from Whirlpool if I stumbled upon a lemon, or three year is expected life of their $1000 plus machines.

This is a portable dishwasher with a butcher block top. Great to use as a rolling island countertop. The capacity is huge, fitting large pasta pots and dutch ovens with ease along with dish plates. Love the water miser setting and the no heat dry to protect delicate material like china dishware.

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator in December 2017. Since July 19 we have had the same problem with the refrigerator three times. The technicians don’t know how to fix it and Whirlpool refuses to replace it. The customer service rep was ignorant on the phone and could care less about a problem. Even though there is a lemon law they refuse to replace the refrigerator. We have to defrost the refrigerator every 2 to 3 weeks so will cool down again. Whirlpool is the worst company we have ever dealt with customer service wise. Lowes will not do anything about it because it’s within the first year.

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 6300 washer based off the salesmans recommendation (not very happy about this). After the warranty ran out, every time in the spin cycle, it makes a sound similar to a piece of metal banging around inside the cylinder during the cycle. Our friends have told us they had a similar experience and for their machine, they found out the bearings were going out. Weve had this machine a total of 3 years. I doubt we ever buy another item from HH Gregg plus will do our investigation on Consumer Buyers digest before we toss any more money out for a washing machine.

When I bought my new retirement home, a Whirlpool dishwasher Model No. DU1055XTVS1 had been installed. After only three years of use, the dishwasher would not complete a cycle except to drain and cancel. The repairman replaced a computer board and when the parts cost and the service cost were combined, they amounted to about half the cost of the dishwasher. I have a PC that is twice the age of the dishwasher and it is still running.

This washer is less than a year old. From the start it was horrible. I was told to call a repairman who came and charged me $200 and still the thing doesnt work. I have never hated an inanimate object like I hate this machine. Oh, and the dishwasher also made by Whirlpool and also new, leaks! I will never ever ever buy anything made by this company. It should be a crime punishable by imprisonment to sell such garbage. But they keep offering me service contracts for $395 to come take a look. Thieves.

We bought our dishwasher April 2018. This morning I noticed the paint had bubbled above the heat vent (area 3x 1/2). Upon closer inspection, the the paint was also peeling. We called the company to see if they would replace the skin but the agent said the only thing they could do was send us touch-up paint. The door is considered cosmetic & only covered for 30 days. If we wanted to replace the door panel, we were welcome to buy one from them. However as this seems to be a manufacturing defect, we would be replacing the door every 16 months. When we realized whirlpool wouldnt back their product, my husband looked a little closer to see what needed to be done & found that it had rusted under the paint & painting on top of rust will adhere properly.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my Whirlpool refrigerator. After less than two years, the entire cooling system has gone out basically rendering it a piece of trash. Unfortunately, Whirlpool is only going to absorb the cost of parts, so I still have to shell out $4500 to have a refrigerator repaired that is nearly new. This is not acceptable. I will never purchase a Whirlpool appliance again.

I am on my 3rd refrigerator from Whirlpool. The first one lasted 8 years, the second one lasted 6 years, and now the 3rd one has only lasted 4 years. This is just too much money to pay for a supposedly nice quality product and it go out as the warranty goes out. The second we had to replace the icemaker 3 times and a compressor. 2012 1st year water dispenser stuck, would not stop pouring water until I shut water valve off behind refrigerator. Replaced switch under warranty. 1st year bottom mount freezer stopped working, replaced condenser under warranty. Handle coming off freezer door not replaced. Today Nov 5th past warranty date Oct. 21st 2012. There is ice buildup in bottom of freezer due to a duckbill valve that I just found out about... This is junk and I already replaced the washing machine. Now I am going to replace this fridge if I have to have money to fix this out of pocket. Dont buy whirlpool and i think they make the same thing under other brands like Kitchenaid. My fridge was registered with whirlpool and no one contacted me from whirlpool about the problem they were aware of, to tell me that the valve is free and labor was free for first two years. Now only part is free. What a rip off. My appliances were part of the purchase price of a new home from a developer.

We purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum W10405142B washer and dryer just over 3 years ago. We decided to go back to the top load as we were having so many issues with odor from our front load. We purchased the set at a Sears store in Timmins Ontario and we’re quite confident that we were getting an excellent product. From day 1 we have had issues with having to rewash our clothes. We have lint and white streaks on the clothes as if we were using powdered detergent and they are all tangled. We have always used HE liquid and at one point I switched to soap nuts to get rid of using chemicals. We have now changed to pods and still have issues. When the washer is spinning it is deafening. You can hear it outside for goodness sakes. It sounds like it is about to take off and fly.The cycles are ridiculously long. For a quick cycle the other day and a very small load it took 72 minutes... how is that quick? When the wash is done my clothes are all tangled up and are stretching things out of shape. I am careful what goes in my washer and how large my load is. I know not to wash sheets or towels when I am not home as they will eventually be unbalanced and have Sat all day in the washer only to have another hour of washing when I get home. We are currently doing some work in our home and pulled out the washer. The floor has a rust circle from God knows what. I will attach a picture. The lid not longer closes. I have to hold it down until it locks and it still pops up a wee bit.I do not understand why I am responsible for purchasing a new set when the product I bought should have lasted and not caused damage to my clothes or my flooring. How do we as consumers make the manufacturers responsible for things like this. If nothing else the appliances should be removed from my home by the Company and I should be reimbursed for damages and the cost of a new set. I will continue to look for my receipt as I keep everything and I am unsure what is meant by order #.

I purchased a Whirlpool Gold from ABC Warehouse in Flint, MI, for $2099.00 before tax and it was delivered on 10/22/2010. Head-liner of inside of refrigerator has a crack about 3-3 1/4 inches long and the refrigerator is running more often. A repair tech came today, 10/14/2011, and did his job fine. He called Whirlpool and they stated to fix it with epoxy? The repair tech is ordering this. I called Whirlpool at 9:00 am right after the tech left at 1-800-253-1301 and spoke to Sherry. I explained everything to her in a very nice manner and she stated that according to the manual, they give us it is for repair only? I said, ok, could I please speak to her Supervisor and she said yes but it will be the same answer. I spoke to her supervisor, Lisa at 9:15 am, she came on talking about the problem and let me talk, I asked her on several occasions are you still there, and she said yes, her words were that Whirlpool only repairs nothing else for the year as per my paperwork (record). I said we dont even get this till after we purchase the item, I mentioned I had a Cabrio Washer and it was junk and had more service calls than any other machine I owned. I have a stove as well from Whirlpool it’s been good so far, I told her with service like this, and them knowing their liners are made of cost cutting saving materials as I have read enough complaints about this on the internet, that Whirlpool is eventually going under and so are the other small shops that do part work for them and their jobs will be outsourced to Japan, China, India and so on, I asked if there was another person higher up than her I could speak to and she said no, they’re not available at this time I snickered and said thats management for you. They have a customer service rep (call center complaints which is Sherry), then supervisor like you (Lisa) then some other management that dont want to talk to you. Way to go Whirlpool. I told her to document that I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance and I will definitely tell others and so on, and if we get enough folks to ban them they will leave USA or close and then Sherry and Lisa will be unemployed just like the rest of us in the good ole USA. Poor appliances for folks that can barely afford to make it and if you’re lucky and working like me and you buy something; shouldnt a refrigerator last more than this, and you stand behind your products? I also told her I know some are abused but this was not an abused product from me. It is a Whirlpool ‘cut your cost savings product’, and forgets the customer. Please look at the old appliances, I also mentioned I have an old Amana in my garage that is 17 years old runs great and never had a problem. And I gave her up for this piece of junk Whirlpool. I then told her I will write letters, emails and everything I can think of to ban this make and product. When I purchased this I bought it to last a long time as I had to finance it, and take from our monthly income. I had never had a nice fridge, but heck this is not nice. It’s a joke and the sad part is, I owe over $900.00 still and just got laid off. Thanks to the good ole USA and Michigan, but I will pay it off no matter what cause I pay my bills, and stand behind my name as a good person and citizen unlike Whirlpool. I purchased a new home and then purchased 4 appliances, all Whirlpool Gold. In less than a year, the stoves electronic ignition and the microwave hood keypad went out. Since they were under warranty, a repairman replaced a bunch of parts and now they are working fine. One month after the refrigerator was out of warranty, the water line to the ice cube maker split about an inch and a half and water would spew out onto the hardwood floor under the unit. We were on vacation for all that month and didnt see any damage until one day there was a puddle in front of the refrigerator. When we pulled it out, we saw that the floor was ruined under the unit, the cabinet next to it black with mold and of course, the line had to be replaced. Whirlpool wasnt interested in the fact that the refrigerator had probably still been under warranty when the split occurred, only that we hadnt reported it before the warranty expired. Next to go was the water seal that goes on the inside of the door of the dishwasher. I was running it about a month after the refrigerator debacle and water came spewing out of the side. The seal had come out and nothing was stopping the water from exiting out the side of the door. Thats 4 for 4 in less than 15 months. I will never buy a Whirlpool product. They couldnt be any worse.

I went to get ice from my Whirlpool Gold refrigerator, model GB2FHDXWS, and found it was melted. Light and fans were working. I had to throw out all that was in the freezer drawer. I called Lowes service and reported that our four-month old refrigerator wasnt working. They sent a food claim number and set up a service call. Then, the lady said to unplug it and plug it back in. We had since cleaned it out. I unplugged it and plugged after a minute and it came back on. The Ace service guy called to confirm his schedule. After hearing that it is running again, he said they are computer controlled and unplugging it and plugging it back in reboots it, as you might reboot locked up PC. He also said that since it is now running, Whirlpool wont stand behind a service call. He said wait until it does it again. Now thats just jim-dandy. We have an expensive new Whirlpool Gold refrigerator that has computer controlling that cant be trusted as the control may or may not lock up in the future spoiling the stored food.

Purchased Feb 2013 - worked okay until one month ago. Now stalls in the drain and spin cycle. The rotation of the drum sounds awful, makes a loud grinding noise. I tried doing the diagnostic reset of holding the Temp button in for 3 sec, release, 3 sec more but that didnt work. Also, I have noticed clothes are DRY after the Wash cycle! Managed to interrupt the wash and unlock the lid and was very disappointed. This is not a good quality piece of equipment. This seems to be a very common problem. How unfortunate.

I just bought a house that has one of these ranges, and it was getting the F2 message. I found the problem. There is NO ventilation behind the electronic control so when the oven heats up, the control board gets too hot and throws the F2 code. That would indicate a bad temp sensor or bad board, but really its the heat shield on the back. Ive removed the metal plate from behind the control panel and it works fine now. Im considering drilling some vent holes and adding some insulation behind the control.

Extremely unsatisfied with their customer care. I purchased a washer and dryer 18 months ago and did not choose to purchase an extended warranty. I currently need a main control board replaced after the machine stopped spinning and draining. I hired a wonderful handyman, who originally suspected the lid--locking mechanism was the problem. When that was replaced and the machine still wasnt functioning, he determined the main control board needed replacing. This is a manufacturer defect and costs approximately $300 for the part, not including labor. Of course, my machine is no longer covered under the extremely limited manufacturers warranty that only lasts for 12 months, so I am stuck picking up the bill. Once done with all the parts and labor, its cheaper to buy a new washing machine especially because they still wont add a warranty to it after its fixed. I think its absurd that a manufacturers defect isnt continually covered under warranty no matter how old the machine is. Customer service continued to tell me I should have wasted more money on a company that doesnt care about customer satisfaction and purchased an extended warranty originally. Horrible investment! Will never purchase Whirlpool appliances ever again!

We have a large family so when we needed a new refrigerator we found this very large unit (Whirlpool 32 cu). About this unit, its not really all that wide, but it is very deep. Lowes didnt have a model on the floor but we went by photos. Also the salesman showed us a smaller version of this unit and we were impressed with the design. However unlike the unit we saw the shelves arent adjustable. They are preset. Also the ice maker on top is very small and makes ice very slowly. The freezer section ice maker is much larger. The main complaint I have with that is unless you push the tray all the way to the back ice can drop behind the tray and fall down causing the freezer door not to always close properly, leaving you with semi defrosted food. Whoever designed this refrigerator was an idiot. All issues are really related to design flaws. This is a very expensive refrigerator. I expected a great unit and got a piece of crap instead. Stay away from this model at all cost. It would be smarter to buy 2 refrigerators instead if you have the room. This model will give you nothing but a headache and grief.This is our story about our experience. This all took place within 1 year. We bought it at Lowes. They were wonderful when it came to taking care of us when it was within the stores’ warranty. They really tried to help us. Once their warranty ran out they put us in touch with our new repairmen. Lowes did tell us that one other man bought the same unit and he was up to refrigerator # 15. Like I said, this unit is crap. Our first unit was delivered with a huge dent in the door. They took it back (lucky for us we have 2 other refrigerators).Second unit arrived in store also badly dented. They didnt bother to deliver that unit. Third unit arrives at store but back area around motor all dented up. They order a 4th unit. This unit wasnt dented up so they delivered it. However doors were very off and wouldnt line up so it didnt close properly. A 5th unit was ordered and same issue with the doors. A 6th unit ordered and they called telling me that it was all dented up and needed to order a new unit. Our 7th unit arrived and in 3 days started making funny sounds. Dual ice makers stopped working and inside refrigerator is was very warm. Lowes ordered #8. This unit the freezer doors werent lining up so #9 was ordered. This time everything seemed to line up, no dents however by the third month it started making a funny sound. Dual ice makers stopped working. Warm inside the refrigerator section. Lowes sent out a repair man. He explained a design flaw was not enough insulation around the fan so it was icing up. That was replaced and it was working nicely for 4 months. Same issues with fan icing up, the noise and no ice. The repair man came out again and mentioned what was kind of a recall with the unit. The control panel in the back of the refrigerator was wrong and needed the correct one to be put in. That was done. He told us that we shouldnt have any more issues with it.Same thing again. Same symptoms, same results...we had to throw out hundreds of dollars worth of food. (I just put in an entire prime filet mignon I planned for a special dinner and had to throw it out. OUCH!) Awaiting for the repair man, again. He will be out in 5 more days. Im sure it will be a new issue, a new brand new fix and it will work for a few weeks to months and we will be calling him again.

Purchased a Jenn-Air single wall oven model JJW2427WS after seeing it displayed in an appliance store. Oven was installed as directed. Upon viewing the panel, I discovered that it does not light up. You cannot read the function or numbers, never mind start and cancel without a flashlight. I have been a Jenn-Air customer for over 20 years. This is the first time I have been disappointed. Also, has this model been discontinued or recalled?I wrote to the CEO of Whirlpool and explained my problem. I was told that this is not a functional problem, but perhaps a design dissatisfaction. I cannot believe that there are other consumers who are not having difficulty using their appliance without additional lighting in their kitchens.

My Whirlpool electric range has been a nightmare! I bought this thing 5 years ago and I am having it replaced on Saturday! It had a cleaning thing where I put in distilled water and 20 minutes later I could just wipe it out. Not true. I had to use oven off??? Next the oven would not work. Learned if I turned off the power it would reboot itself! The next thing it did was all on its own it turned the temp. from 250 degrees to a full BROIL. The oven now will not heat up to 350 degrees! I just blew $1200.00! On the other hand I did buy a Whirlpool fridge. It has been awesome!

My 4-year old Whirlpool Cabrio (model WTW6600SW2) has gone out. It cost almost $300 just for the part to repair. It was lightly use; the average use was about three-four loads a week. Thats almost half the cost of what the whole machine will cost if new. I am irate. The customer service was no help. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again..

Aqualift technology does not work!! This is absolutely the worst product I have purchased from Whirlpool. The aqualift technology DOES not clean the oven, even if you clean the oven after EACH time you use it! I am not able to bend over and spend the afternoon in the oven. And even when I do, I cannot get this oven clean!!! Please DO NOT buy a Whirlpool stove with an aqualift technology oven cleaning process!!! You WILL be sorry!!!

I bought a Cabrio top loader in 2007. Have now replaced a pump for the 2nd time. Replaced a circuit board once. Thank goodness the machine was purchased at a local appliance store who stand behind what they sell and are very prompt in their response time.

Whirlpool washer Model WGD4815EW1. Bought this washer just about 4 months ago and right away I hated it but was told by people that all the machines had gone to the lid lock and that the government had mandated the energy saving devices on the machines so the machine will only put just a little water in the machine. I have been VERY VERY unhappy with this machine. My husband figured out a way to bypass the lid lock mechanism. Then after washing clothes many times I found out in order to get my clothes clean I had to just set the dial to Bulky every time OR I had to wash the clothes 2 times to get clean if I didnt. Once we bypassed the lid lock and then I figured out where to put the knob so the clothes would come clean I was fine until last week the machine just would NOT wash or do anything... it filled with water and just sat there until my husband got the water out. I located a Speed Queen from an appliance store and I am much happier. It does not have the CRAZY lid lock on it. I realize that some children are apt to mess with the washers. But I dont have children anymore and when I did I had a laundry room with a lock up high on the door so they could not play in the laundry room. I dont understand why this so called mandate could not have been done in a way as to allow those with kids to have the option on the machine with a built in code device to set the machine so the lid will lock and those of us without children in the house to opt out of the code to set the lid lock. NO REASON why we cant have a CHOICE. As far as I see it is a way for the government to try control more where they need to keep out. The cars have been designed with safety locks for children to keep them safe, but it is up to you to choose to use them. Same principle! Now for the mechanism to make it so the machine will only put so much water in the machine to wash. Youre NOT SAVING any ENERGY or WATER if you have to wash the loads twice!! This whole mandated business with the newer washer machines is a huge JOKE on everyone. I will be searching out used machines and having them rebuilt because I dont EVER plan on buying another one of these newer machines. If enough people stop buying them the manufacturing companies can raise some cane with the government to get the mandate lifted. NO I will not buy another Whirlpool washer. I encourage some of you out there who LOVE a challenge to figure a way to change the stupid motherboards on the newer machines and create a great business for yourself because if someone else can create it you can recreate it.

Big bang for your buck. I have used Whirlpool for years without any needed repairs. Typically you may see brands began to fade as you use them. However, the Whirlpool brand microwave always seem to stay true to its form. As long as you keep the inside clean the microwave should last a long time.

We bought the Whirlpool Gold series side-by-side about 2 years ago with an ice maker in the door and with this design, the ice bucket is on the inside of the door, which we thought was a very clever design, taking up less freezer space. Well, to remove the ice bucket, we had to use a blow dryer because even though you press the button which is supposed to disengage the bucket from the door, it has always been frozen onto the base.Then we started having issues of water leaking from the ice maker. It turns out, that the lever that controls the chute was broken. We called a certified Whirlpool technician to come out to fix the ice maker dispenser lever. Well as it turns out, it cannot be fixed. It is a sealed in the door unit and to fix it, we have to replace the door, a repair estimate for door and labor is approximately $800. That is absurd.I contacted Whirlpool and was told that my refrigerator is out of warranty and that there is not an option to repair the dispenser. There is nothing we can do. I said that according to the repairman, we are not the first to report this problem. When I contacted Whirlpool I was told there is no recall for this item. We purchased the Whirlpool based on the reputation that it has had in the past and the good product we have in a Maytag (which is associated with Whirlpool) dishwasher. Well, never again are we going to purchase a Whirlpool or any of its subsidiaries products. I have read so many unhappy customers here that I cannot believe that Whirlpool continues to make such inferior products or designs.

Purchased Whirlpool fridge in December of 2013. I have had repairmen at my home over 10 times for repairs after warranty expired in December of 2014. Purchased extended warranty and still have to wait over a week for repairs through local Whirlpool service tech. Ice maker has been problematic from the start. Either it makes a bucket in 3 days time or it makes none. I will not buy another.

The machine pass all the cycles but the clothes are only very wet and still dirty.

Whirlpool refrigerator are garbage, and their customer service is worse. I will never buy their products again. My refrigerator never worked correctly and destroy all of my food soon after it being delivered.

I purchased a new gas water heater from Lowes and paid a plumber to install it. I have been having problems with it staying lit. Once I noticed the issue, I notified my plumber and the plumber was aware of this on-going issue with these water heaters. The plumber told me to call Whirlpool and have them send me a new thermocouple. Ive been putting it off until now, but realized today over the phone with Whirlpool Customer Service that the problem is with the vent. The manual that came with the water heater has a horizontal venting installation, yet Whirlpool claims that it should be vented through to the roof and they sent me, via email, the correct manual. When I asked Whirlpool how the plumber was supposed to know, she said that he should have known that it was not the correct manual (even though there is no model number written anywhere in the instructions manual) and that we should call to make sure that we have the right manual before installing my next product. So, I need to double check every purchase I make! Or is this only with Whirlpool products? After speaking with two different Whirlpool reps, I have concluded that I need to purchase a new water heater, but believe me, it will not be another Whirlpool!

After 1 1/2 years, My new Cabrio washer lid hinge started to come apart and wont latch, so machine wont run. After a day or so it completely popped up and out of align. The lid has PLASTIC hinge. This is obviously a problem. We have been in touch with Whirlpool, but they say they cant help?? This should be a recall. We have been waiting on back order for a replacement Lid at OUR OWN EXPENSE since Sept. 20, 2015. I want to get this fixed and use my Machine again. We are Senior Citizens and this machine is used 3-4 times a week. Not abused.

We bought the Whirlpool Cabrio set from Sears in February 2010, for our second home. We counted up the weeks we have actually been here since then, it is about 10 weeks. We figure we used the washer about three times per week. So, we have gotten about 30 wash loads from this washer and it dies mid-cycle. We assume the motherboard crashed. It kicked the breaker. Lid was locked and we couldnt get it open. The washer would not power up. Repairman arrived three days later, got the latch opened but couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. He said it is probably a board and it might be better for us to replace. He wants to pick it up tomorrow to take to his shop. I called Whirlpool to complain. I know the one year warranty is up but to get 30 uses out of this expensive piece of junk and not get any consideration from the manufacturer is not right. I wish I had seen all these complaints before I bought it. No Whirlpool ever!

This flat top electric range has a cooktop large enough to accommodate several large cooking pots at the same time and is so easy to clean. A feature I love is the Keep Warm burner. The two front burners have 2 different heating ranges to accommodate small or large pots or pans. The self-cleaning convection oven heats evenly and provides 2 oven racks for maximum use. Whirlpool does it right every time.

I HATE, HATE, HATE the aqua lift clean feature. Its awful. The bottom came somewhat clean but cook bacon and the sides and top are filthy and the aqua lift cant clean that. I dont know how this ever made it past the thought process stage to become a thing but it needs to go away. Im quite cranky right now as Ive just spent two hours scrubbing my oven while reaching past the oven door that doesnt come off because its a self-clean oven. This is what I have to look forward to for the next 10 years until it dies and I can get a new oven? What a joke!!

I purchased this range in 2010 and needed to replace the control panel/switch membrane in 2011 and it was covered by the warranty. Then I purchased an extended warranty and needed to replace the same part again. Then I replaced it again in July 2016. This part cost $147 and you cannot operate the oven without it. There is something wrong with the range that is causing the failure and the cause of the failure should have been fixed when it was under warranty but now that it isnt under warranty, Whirlpool has refused to correct the problem or compensate me for the cost to replace the part.

Whirlpool Dryer Model #108409 - This dryer has given me problems within a year of purchasing it. I thought that I was investing into a good product by paying more money, $1677 to be exact. Technicians have been to my house on three different occasions and yesterday the repairman wrote that the dryer in not repairable. Badcock Furniture store in Hinesville, Georgia said that they can do nothing. BWG, who is responsible for the warranty, wants to charge me to have it repaired even against the report of the repairman saying its non repairable. VERY FRUSTRATED WITH WHIRLPOOL... I will never by another Whirlpool product. I bought this product in April of 2012 and it did not make one year before it started giving us problems. The repairman also said that the dryer was probably dropped in transporting it and it could not be detected from just looking from the front view.

Bought on 9/11/2014 and installed by Lowes installers on the 15th. It quit heating two days later. Called Lowes and they said I would have to call Whirlpool. I did. WP had me metering with a multi-meter until found OTC button was tripped. Then they suggested I troubleshoot the elements and sent me a video. I called Lowes and they said they would replace. Later they called back and said WP would not give them a RA number and for me to call them. I did and the rep after much arguing directed me to call their factory authorized service, A & E. I did and they said it would be 33 days before they could come out. I hung up and called Lowes who called back later and wanted me to call WP again. This time they said they did not have a repair service close enough to come, but I could try buying the lower heating element and replacing it to see if that worked. I said no, the heater was brand new and they needed to fix it. Their next solution was have me contact a local plumber and arrange to troubleshoot, me pay the plumber and then send them the bill. They would reimburse me up to $100.00. Not acceptable and now the button has to be reset every few hours and the water gets scalding hot while it is heating. Our Samsung self cleaning oven burned out. The wires in the back were burnt and brittle and its a miracle our house did not burn down. While shopping we were told the new self cleaners were so much better, not the high heat, odor etc. This Whirlpool stove does not self clean, its a joke. I have scrubbed for hours on it. It does not get any kind of grease etc. off. You need to scrub and work hours. It may take a small spill off the bottom of the stove but thats it. There is no way to get all the grease splatters off the walls etc. I hate this stove and see there was a class action law suit on it. If I would have known then what I know how it would have gone back as soon as it arrived. I plan to go looking for another stove and it will not be a Whirlpool Aqualift self cleaning.

Does clean well but I notice that even on heat drying there is still water on the inside of the door when I open it. I have loaded it up and even the glass baking pans came out sparkling. I would recommend this middle of the road priced dishwasher.

I have a Whirlpool Duet Steam Washer that will be two years old in September 2013. It has been making terrible, loud noises during the spin cycle for a few months now. Repair tech told me it was the bearings and very costly. It will cost me over half of the original cost to repair a less than two year old washer. This is my second Duet front loader from Whirlpool. The first one was a drum issue and the rod ended up snapping. Again, very costly so I bought a new one. I should have learned my lesson the first time. I do not agree with extended warranties and it is just an additional money maker for the manufacturer. They should be making the product so people do not have to purchase those. Anyway, back to the washer at hand. I refuse to spend that much on a newer washer and will never purchase a Whirlpool product again. I will let this thing bang for as long as it is going to last. Unfortunately have also just purchased the dryer that matches this washer since I still had the old model Duet Dryer, so kind of stuck with them. Spent an hour and a half yesterday on the phone talking to people at Whirlpool and they really dont care if you have an issue or not no matter how old your machine is. They just want you to have purchased the extended warranty or forget it. There should be a recall and they should be helping these customers who all seem to be having the same issue. Done with them!!

I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator with French Doors, Model No. GX5SHDXVD03. Within 1 year and 4 months, I had to replace the defrost control board. I spoke to Whirlpools customer service, George ** said he was sorry for my inconvenience but that he refuses to help in any way because I missed the warranty period by 4 months. I spent $352.74 for the parts and labor and lost hundreds more in food. Do not purchase any Whirlpool products. I was told that the boards have been going out frequently.

I bought an whirlpool stove from conn store in 2007. The oven hasnt work right since day one. They send different people out to service it - still dont work the right. We smell gas when we try to light it. It wont come on 90 percent of the time, sometime we have wait a while to start it. They refuse to exchange from day one, we cant afford to throw our money away so we do more top cooking than bottom.

Shortly after the warranty expired my refrigerator started building ice on the floor of the freezer. With the build-up of ice the freezer started leaking on the bottom. Sometimes it gets so bad I have a hard time closing the freezer door properly. The Model# GB9FHDXWS06, Serial# K31505096 of my Whirlpool refrigerator. I do not recommend any Whirlpool product. Do your research before you buy any Whirlpool product.

Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer 5 years ago because our other washer died after coming home from vacation. Its just 2 people in this household so I dont do mountains of laundry. The other machine lasted 15 years so go figure. We purchased the Cabrio from Lowes. Got the extended warranty but as it goes the machine fails when all warranties expires. Over the last couple of weeks this machine started to not complete a wash cycle. All lights go off except for spin light and machine stops. Even asked the person in charge of washers and dryers at Lowes about this who then told me to get an extension cord and plug it into a different outlet. Seriously! I have had to unplug the machine after it fails to complete cycle, wait 5 minutes or so, plug it back in, select rinse and spin, it fails again 13 minutes left in cycle, unplug again, plug it back in, select drain and spin, wait for it to MAYBE complete that cycle. Do not purchase this type of machine. Just for a technician to come look at it is $100 or more and to replace whatever circuit board is probably another $300 or more. Screw that! Going to find a good old fashion one if possible. Piece of junk. Not going to spend $700 or $1000 just to wash clothes for 2 people.

I purchased my Whirlpool washer and dryer 4 yrs ago. I was planning on purchasing Samsung but the saleswoman at Gils in Bristol, RI strongly recommended this junk!! A washer and dryer should not quit after 4 yrs w/ a household of 2. The dryer never dried properly. Each load took 2 cycles. Yes, repair were called and we were told its a design flaw. The washer just stopped spinning. Repair will would have been $550. These pieces of junk were replaced by GE electric stackables. Fingers crossed....they are working satisfactory!

We have our stove for over five years and we have had no problems with it over the years. It has a black top and this seems like it is a little harder to clean, but other from that we have had no problems with either stove or oven.

I bought washing machine in March 2012. Since the date of purchase, the machine is not working properly. Even though it is under warranty period, I have to spend money on my own to repair it. Whirlpool customer care never responds. When I ask to give the number of higher authorities, customer care denies to do that.
