Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washing machine: You wont believe this until you call a parts replacement place for tiny part. The plastic (or vinyl) lid hinge bearings are located at hinge corners of lid. Hinge pin passes through them, one on each side. Half the size of a penny, UNCONSCIONABLE greed at the price of $32-$33 dollars EACH when ordered from a parts place. IMHO, design by INTENTIONAL failure to fail after three or four years. As a result, the lid will not stay up on its own. Then you find out the horrible news which is an insult to intelligence. Id have expected to pay maybe two or three dollars each, but NEVER the price they are demanding. Theyve got you and there is NOTHING you can do about it. At that rate, parts would run tens of thousands of dollars to replace the entire machine, part by part. These greedy clowns make car dealers look like reasonable people! The LAST Whirlpool machine of ANY kind we will EVER own!

2010 upright Whirlpool freezer - Door is totally bubbled in rust. Warranty Plan not covered for this. Whirlpool Corp Serv. Dept said they are sorry but it is not a functional problem. Cost of repairs on 3-yr-old freezer that cost $600.00 would be $732.62. This freezer was rated CR Best Buy in Sept 2009 which was why I purchased it. I paid $81.00 for repair tech from Whirlpool today who could do nothing either. Whirlpool knows that this has been a problem as consumers have complained about this rust in Google, some saying they will never buy a Whirlpool product again. Same here!

Purchased Whirlpool Cabrio top loading washing machine yesterday. When wash load is finished (dark load) white marks are visible on the clothing. It appears to be laundry detergent that has not dissolved. I am not happy with this washer and will be returning it.

After reading all reviews online on the lid of the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer, it upsets me that there has not been a recall on this. Our lid has snapped & has to be held down until the lock light comes on. Often times during the cycle it must sense the lid is broken & thinks it is not locked & sets the load off line. I have to pause the load & then reset the load & hold the lid down tight until it restarts.

My microwave came with my house. I didnt choose it but it has been a great brand. I love the preset timers for defrosting & for popcorn. Its big enough to handle an 8x8 pan which was important to me. The turntable could be more stable. My model is a built in over the oven option. Black & digital. It has lots of preset options & is pretty user friendly. I like the size & it is super quiet.

Whirlpool refrigerator runs continuously, but doesnt cool. I have to turn it off manually to cool down the motor. I have to run it on the highest number (5), then freezes some things on the top shelf but lower shelves are warm. We need these refrigerators and freezers replaced with different brands of our choice!

I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator from Lowes. 21 months later I need to replace the compressor. Whirlpool has been kind enough to cover parts and labor, but it has been 24 days and no service call yet. After multiple calls to their service department, who keep telling me there is not another dealer in my area, I am forced to wait. Living out of coolers for the past 21 days is very frustrating. I wanted to rent a fridge and send them the bill, but they would not cover that. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product in my life and will advise family and friends on the reliability and service I have received.

Whirlpool Gold Fridge Model GR2SHWXP002 purchased on August 15, 2007 for $1,368.77. Only repair issue so far was water leaking from the Water Inlet Valve Item # 949403. I bought a new part on Aug 8, 2011 for $73.45 and replaced it myself. The plastics on the fridge door have yellowed. No smoking in the house so not sure why the plastic has changed colour??? Would I buy one again?? Yes I love the water through the door feature and the automatic ice maker. 10 years old now and no major problems.

I agree with all the unsatisfied customers with the Whirlpool Cabrio! Clothes do not come out clean! I called Whirlpool also and was told to be sure to place my clothes around the sides of the tub, which I always did. If Whirlpool was smart, they would take the complaints about the Cabrio and offer the customers a small amount of money towards purchasing another Whirlpool washer. I know I would have appreciated that. Instead Ill go out and buy another washer and not a Whirlpool. Even my kids dont want this washer and its practically new!

When my wife and I were planning our retirement, we made a to-do list before we officially stopped working. We are loyal Whirlpool users and over the next 3 years we purchased 4 major Whirlpool appliances in preparation of having 8-12 years of problem-free time as we go from a two-income working family to two people on fixed incomes. I retired in December of 2011 and unfortunately this did not pan out on 2 of the 4 appliances. The washing machine, in late February 2012, blew a transmission 23 months after purchase and 11 months after the warranty expired. Discussions with Whirlpool by phone were unsuccessful in getting the repair covered.Ultimately, this repair cost us $265.00. In late April, 9 months after the warranty expired, the refrigerator iced up and had to be manually defrosted, despite being equipped with ADS. My family and I did the defrosting because it was a weekend and tech support was not available. On Monday, the refrigerator was functioning, so I was told to run it and see what happens and call the tech if it happens again. I had done research online and found many folks were having trouble with this refrigerator model and the main problem was the control board”, a board that is used in many Whirlpool refrigerators. I ordered one after the initial problem and waited for it to ice up again. On Sunday, May 20, it repeated the same symptoms displayed and I put the board in myself and it solved the problem. This computer board cost me $95.81.I contacted Whirlpool about the two premature, post-warranty expiration issues in hopes of getting some reimbursement for the repairs. The Whirlpool rep told me that because there had not been a recall on either appliance, they could not reimburse me. They instead offered me a 6-month extension on the dishwasher I bought last July. I have been on several complaint websites and have seen the refrigerator control board repeatedly mentioned - all within the approximate 2-year timeline as my control board failed. My refrigerator was a GB9FHDXWQ01 model, but the control board is used in many of their refrigerators. Hello. We bought this refrigerator from Costco, so we can have extended one year warranty for the appliance. When we need this then we are not getting help. Our Fridge is not working from last couple of weeks. Technician came a day late to see the fridge, then order the part on the 01/03/2017, I didnt hear back from service provider till 01/11/2017. Finally I got a callback after spend an hour on the phone saying that it will take one more week. I had to call Whirlpool to expedite service and because of weekend I have to wait another 4 days to get the part.There are 7 people living in my house including 2 yr old. We are having hard time with the food and waste of food. We probably throw away $200 worth of food. And spending money every single day on food. I have to buy every other day for my 2 yr old. Whenever I tried to call for compensation, I get transferred to different department. I am so tired with this kind of service. I would never buy any appliance from Costco or Never refer to anyone. Very very bad service.

Aqua clean does not work. I purchased this range this year not knowing aqua clean was different than a standard self cleaning. I had not use the range since its delivery in June until Thanksgiving. One meal in the oven and the turkey had created staining on the sides and the bottom. I have run the self clean cycle so far four times and scrubbed till I’m blue in the face. The greasy stuff does not lift off and the warranty voids if you use anything else. Have already contacted the dealer to see if I can return this!

I paid about $3500 for this, alleged, top of the line fridge a little over 2 years ago. The freezer, bottom type, doesnt get cold enough to thoroughly freeze food. The washer can not spin dry, as the unit will not balance. When it spins, it will get out of balance, and shuts off. I have had a repairman out, but he said he can not fix it, and that this is common with your units, He suggested we get a new one, but not from Whirlpool.

We purchased an over-the-range microwave in 2005 Model No. MH1141XMQ-1 Serial No. TRS1112979. It has worked fine however, within a year, the grill cracked. It was not covered so we paid for a new one. A few months ago, I noticed a crack near the top of the door by the handle and then a couple of weeks ago, a huge chunk broke off the bottom of the door.

My dishwasher is more than 10 years old. It functions but the interior baskets have broken and because my counter overhangs a couple of inches from the dishwasher the steam from the dishwasher has damaged the underside of the counter. It cleans ok but I would not buy this kind of dishwasher again.

I purchased a Whirlpool accubake oven in 2010. The repairman has been out to repair it 5 times. Thats right 5 times. It wont maintain the baking temperature. They have changed the mother board, the ignition switch, the harness, and the thermostat. Every time the repairman leaves it works and then I go to bake something and it doesnt. Once it reaches 350 degrees the oven cuts off. You can hear it trying to ignite but its like the fire doesnt catch. I have to shut it off, press bake and heat it up all over again. This is so annoying. Bad thing is I like the look of the oven but clearly this is a shotty product. I will never buy a Whirlpool again.

We purchased our new home in February of 2012 and found a good deal on a 6 appliance package from a local dealer (not box store). In these four years, had to replace igniter in gas range oven. Weve had 3 repair visits for the fridge, dead ice-maker, temperature imbalance freezing vegetables, meat drawer constantly falling off tracks, door shelf rails fall off and all shelf contents fall to floor. Dishwasher rinse dispenser has never functioned, never empties. Technician claims it is working as designed. Washing machine - 3 separate service calls. We finally decided to buy a different brand last year. Only the dryer and microwave have have performed as expected with no service calls. The package deal saved us about $500 but in just 4 years we have spent over $1000 (including $400 to buy a new washing machine). VERY disappointed in this brand.

I purchased my Cabrio washer and dryer 2 1/2 years ago, and for the past 6 months, I have dealt with it being unbalanced and I tried everything to get it balanced. When I researched the problems, I found so many other consumers are having the same problems and that Whirlpool will do nothing about it. I decided to start a petition on Change website to try to force Whirlpool to stand behind their product and correct the problem, offer us a refund or another product, or even fix the darn thing. I have had to replace my Whirlpool 50-gallon hot water heater 2 times. First time it broke, it caused thousands of dollars’ worth of damages plus Im out a $760.00 deductible. I had the last one just over 1 month and couldnt exchange it at Lowe’s because it’s a few days over a month. So I had to get return authorization before I could return it again. I went through speaking to a hateful CSR. After calling back again, the lady, a real nice lady, helped me. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again, and if anyone is smart, they will stay away from them too. Hateful, hateful CSR. Beware.

We bought model # WTW5000DW2 Whirlpool top loader. The sensor for water level continually bangs until the water reaches its required level!! Very annoying! I like that it doesn’t have an agitator but that’s it. I’d rather be able to pick my own water level. It also is a very slow process!! I would not recommend this machine unless it is going into a sound proof room.

I bought a whirlpool water heater at Lowes 4 months ago, and it has stopped working. I called the customer service number and was treated so unjust. I told them that I had just had it looked at by a plumber and he said that the water heater needed to be replaced, I told the whirlpool represented if what the plumber had just advise me. So I asked them if they could just replace it, the customer service representative told me I had to call another number to have their service people look at it and that wasnt for another 10 days. At which time I asked the representative what was I to do without hot water for 10 days. She told me that they could only schedule it that way. I on the other hand just lost $500 and went out and bought a Rheem water heater instead.

I called the dealers repair department, which said they had not seen this before and it looks defective. I have used the oven less than a dozen times. It is virtually new. They submitted pictures to Whirlpool. The oven surround is not replaceable, so the request is to get a new oven. Whirlpool responded with, This is normal... when the cracks break through, then there is a problem. What?! I have been cooking for over 50 years and have never had this experience before. This product is under warranty. By the time it cracks through, it will be too late to do anything about it. Since when is crazing on the oven bottom natural, especially after only a very few times used? This is defective and Whirlpool is shirking their warranty. I am very dissatisfied.

I purchased the Whirlpool washer and dryer three years ago and I absolutely wish that I hadnt. After three years of use, the bearings on the tub are shot. I need to replace them but it will cost $400.00 to repair. This is the second time that this machine is for repair. I am going to dispose this machine and purchase a new model other than Whirlpool. The overall performance is poor and not as advertised. It does not use enough water and does not wash clothes well enough. At times, you can see that the water never reached parts of the garments. Model ED5PVEXWS14/Whirlpool Stainless Steel side-by-side refrigerator purchased from Lowes: My wife and I purchased this refrigerator from Lowes as a part of a kitchen renovation project. It was delivered by Lowes and worked great. The shelving cracked at the back as other owners experienced, but I blamed that on kids and was fine with ordering replacement parts online. Fast forward to the present and a year later, everything is working fine. Out of the blue it quit cooling or freezing on 6/12/13. I thought it was a capacitor problem, but since we purchased the refrigerator on 4/28/12, we decided to have a repairman come out and check. When he accessed it, he found that the compressor was bad. He stated every once in while you get a fridge with a bad compressor. He also said I just happened to have the particular refrigerator he sees frequently. I normally buy all Whirlpool products - microwaves, washer and dryer, dishwasher, my old refrigerator (still working at my relatives house), and my daughters college fridge. This is the first time I have experienced something of this nature with a Whirlpool product and hope I can work out a resolution with them or Lowes.

I purchased an extended warranty with my product purchase and only a year and a half into using this brand washer the lid broke on one side at the hinge, it looked really rusty and like others I thought I was making a very decent purchase because all of my previous appliances were Whirlpool so figured Id keep up with the brand. My brand new top-loading, high efficiency washer has squealed like a banshee from day one. Whirlpool replaced the main agitator part, with no success. It still squeals so loud, you cant have a conversation in the same room. Now, Whirlpool says that it is normal. No, it is not normal for a washer to squeal so loud. I am still waiting on Whirlpool to replace the same part they replaced the last time. We are still not abe to hear each other over the squeal of our new Whirlpool washer. This is not normal.

Horrible stove. Bought online. Get set up and its worst design ever. Have to lay down on floor to watch broiler. Cant even slide out. The stove top is difficult to clean. The cast iron grates are very heavy and have to move one side at a time. I Cant control low heat. Have to use back burner only. Then Crap builds up on back console. The oven grates are too wide apart, Have To supplement with racks from my other stove oven.

I contacted Whirlpool in regard to one of their water heaters we purchased from Lowes. It came with a 5-year warranty. At the end of 3 years, the lower element went out. Our plumber took the part back to Lowes, where he stated they normally just do a part replacement with them. On ours, he was told the owner would have to contact the manufacturer. I contacted them and supplied them with the plumbers bill and copies of the front and back of our canceled check, along with all my contact info. Their website states theyll get back with you within two days. I contacted them on March 13, 2013. Today is April 7, 2013 and they havent emailed, called or snail mailed me. After reading these consumer reports, the air has been let out of my balloon. No more Whirlpool products for me! Integrity in our country used to be extremely high. Today it is extremely low as demonstrated by the complaints on this website and now mine. Hey Whirlpool, you suck!

We bought a 20.5 cubic ft Whirlpool refrigerator. 2 months later it started cutting off, and on in a constant repeated cycle then run normal for a while. We had 2 Whirlpool repair appointments. The first guy said he couldnt come fix it unless it was acting up while he was here which was a intermittent issue. Refrigerators dont perform on cue. The 2nd guy came out after the first guy messed around long enough for the warranty to expire. We went ahead, and replaced the startup relay (most common problem). He replaced the control board, and wire harness. He said if that didnt fix it he didnt know what else to do. 2 hours after he left the fridge was right back to doing the same thing. He failed to report back to Whirlpool that the fridge couldnt be repaired. We contacted customer service, and their resolution was to get another repairman to come out, and replace the control board which had already been replaced. In the end they bailed on us, and left us stuck with a broke refrigerator, and we had to buy a new one ourselves. I might add it was not a Whirlpool. They spent $471 trying to fix a broken fridge, and wanted to send another repairman (another $100) to fix a $629 refrigerator how does that make any sense. It was a very disappointing experience, and Whirlpool should be ashamed.

Purchased this oven on 9/12 from Sears, did not purchase an extended warranty and didnt think it was necessary. Im a 64 year old widow and only use the oven on holidays, to date Ive used the over 5 times. With Easter coming, I decided to clean the oven. Followed the instructions, the door locked and the oven died. Im totally disappointed, now it would cost over 100.00 to repair, money I cannot afford. Called Sears and all I was told over and over again that they can send a repaid person and I would have to pay. I was also told that I should have purchased a Kenmore and I wouldnt have had a problem and finally I was told that they couldnt fix it and referred me to whirlpool customer service, who also told me it would cost over 100.00. A 19 month oven should not have died. It should have cleaned the oven and continue to work for many more years. Again, Im upset, angry and disappointed with sears & whirlpool. I purchased this refrigerator and have had problems with it from almost the beginning. First, the doors wholl not stay open long enough to remove items. The technician Whirlpool sent out said the cause was an uneven floor. I checked with a level and the floor is almost completely even. So, then it said thats the way it was intended to work. Isnt that what the adjustment wheels on the bottom are supposed to correct? They dont. One individual in Whirlpools customer service department told me that the doors were not a functional part of the fridge and, therefore were not covered by the warranty. What?Next the refrigerator leaked and ruined the ceiling in the floor below. A few weeks after that was fixed (the fridge, not the ceiling), the unit completely shut down and I lost a tremendous amount of food. Bad enough to have to go through this but then to have Whirlpool treat me so the horribly was absurd. Fridge broke on Friday and a service person came out on Wednesday. Tech tells me he has to order the part (control box) and I find out the next day that the part was on back order. I had already been without a fridge for a week when Whirlpool tells me the part was not available until 9/19 (this was on 8/6)! That was not an acceptable solution so I requested a refund or a new fridge. Nope, their job is to repair, not replace. They said they needed 7-10 days to see if they could get the part earlier. What? Then if it couldnt be repaired in a reasonable amount of time they would consider replacing the appliance. They would not define reasonable amount of time.I believe I spoke to about 10 or 12 different whirlpool reps, and was told 4 times that a supervisor would return my call. One person did call back when I was unable to answer the phone and I called her back within 20 minutes. Guess what, she wasnt available and she never responded to my 3 return calls. When I complained that I had spoken to so many different people and was tired of telling the fridge saga to yet another person who would not help me, she volunteered to be my point person. She gave me her direct extension and said she would handle my case. I left 3 or 4 messages for her and she never returned my call. In other words, I was constantly told that I would receive return calls but never did. In summary, no one cared that I had an almost brand new Whirlpool refrigerator that was not working and that the date I could expect a repair was indefinite. In addition to all of that, every time I called they were experiencing a high call volume. Maybe they could hire more staff? When this all started, Home Depot told me I had to go through Whirlpool because it was under their warranty for the first year. Finally I decided to go to the store (after all, I did pay them for the fridge). After 3.5 hours in Home Depot, they agreed to replace the refrigerator. I havent gotten it yet (they did send over a small loaner), I am really hoping this is the end of this fiasco. I want my life back!! !

I purchased a new home 1 year ago, our home came with Whirlpool Appliances. I was so excited because we were renter. The refrigerators after a year all of the LED lights have gone out, and the refrigerator make a very loud noise. I have called customers service several times. Their respond is, Sorry. It only has a 1 year warranty. The cost of the light would be over $500.00 dollar and that dont included labor. Dont even know the cost of fixing the loud noise. I just want people to be aware of Whirlpool appliances. After only 1 year of service it not going to work. Whirlpool will not fixed them. It sad we work hard to get a home and how will have to spend a fortune to get them fixed. Whirlpool you need to make better equipment. With is coming without home we were not giving an opportunity to buy an extended warranty.

We bought a Whirlpool with convection oven, it is beautiful and very well designed and fully electronic. You can only control it via touchscreen Which, when the software runs into blocks, it is impossible to troubleshoot efficiently, you just have to wait until it completes its rebooting. It is very frustrating to spend hundreds of euros in a device you just cant control when it crashes. Horrible programming made for a horrible user experience. You have the feeling of not being able to use it or fix, it is like having a mobile phone or computer Which only works on what appears to be a random logic. The errors displayed on the screen are often vague and the user troubleshooting manual is just plain short. We will return it without doubt and dont recommended ever buying this device.

This microwave came with the apartment. Its the 2nd one we have had. The first one failed in our 3rd year here. We dont use all the functions, but what we have used, it works fine. Would I purchase this brand, no. I would choose GE, or Panasonic.

Bought washer just under three years ago and the tub bearing started to sound like a jet airplane. Whirlpool seems to have an ongoing issue with the tub seal which goes bad and then allows water to enter the bearing which then fails. Whirlpool will not make it right, I guess I will have to plan on a $350 repair every two to three years if I keep this machine. I am very disappointed with whirlpool for not standing behind what is a known problem. They should replace these seals under warranty so that the Bearing does not fail. Thats my opinion, recall the seals and fix a bad design problem. I would not recommend ANY whirlpool products to anyone at this point. What other problems do they have with their other products?

I purchased this washer over 8 years ago and we have been using it 3 to 4 times a week/ 52 weeks a year since. It has performed flawlessly up until about a year ago when it kept given me uL error. Everytime I wash the basket always spins wobbly and unbalanced it seems. I checked the Internet and it turns out others have had the same problem. The solution was to replaced the 4 springs supporting basket and that fixed the problem. Been working ever since.

We purchased a new home 6 weeks ago that was furnished with new Whirlpool appliances. The stove worked great however the oven never worked at any time. The appliance sales person advised that we had to go through Whirlpool for repair on a brand new appliance. To date we have had to stay home 2 days and the range is still not working and third service call is now scheduled. A call to Whirlpool ended with them advising that we do not qualify for a replacement range, even though it never worked. We have been without an oven for 6 weeks now which is totally unacceptable. I would never buy another Whirlpool product or recommend them based on this current experience. We paid for a new product that never worked and they will not replace it. Hopefully they can repair it on the third visit. Unfortunately I have lost faith in this product and this company.

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio 5.3 cubic foot washing machine to replace a Samsung equivalent machine. I am so extremely disappointed with it. As a mother of nine (seven of them boys) I need a quality machine. Unfortunately this is not one. The clothes come out of the machine just as dirty as they went in. The pants still have dirt on the knees. I think a rinse in the sink would yield better results. I use the highest soil setting, warmest water fabric will allow, and exclusively Tide detergent. I only fill the tub with half a load (completely voiding the value of large capacity) and yet still have to run clothes through twice.I really don’t have time for this. All the kids clothes have to be inspected before drying. I wish I could go back in time and keep my Samsung which was recalled. I would rather take the risk of an exploding machine than deal with this one any longer. Unfortunately, after spending over $1000 on the washer (and buying the matching dryer) I’m stuck with this useless machine. I hope others don’t make the same mistake I did.

My Whirlpool super capacity 465 started flaking out on the temperature and burned our dinner. I had a repairman over to repair which he did after about 3 hours of testing. Less than 6 months later it did the same thing. Overheating in the oven.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator model #wrt1litzyv along with the extended warranty from Lowes. The compressor stopped working just before the warranty was to expire and had to be replaced. The cost of repairs almost equaled the price of the refrigerator and took nearly 2 months for the reimbursement check to arrive. I had to call several times. They told me they hadnt received the paperwork even though I sent it registered mail and it was signed for and I had to resend it. Now, less than 4 months later, the refrigerator is again not working properly. Freezer is not freezing properly. Takes 2 days to freeze ice. This is the absolutely worst refrigerator Ive ever had. My last refrigerator lasted 20 years. This one is only 3 years old and of course, the warranty is now expired. I will never buy another Whirlpool product. And I will never buy a major appliance from Lowes either since they play games with the warranties. And after the refrigerator was repaired, Whirlpool tried to sell me another extended warranty. They wanted $308.60 for a 3-year warranty. Ridiculous that they dont stand behind their products. And try to sell more warranties instead of just manufacturing a good product.

I initially purchased all new Whirlpool products as part of my new home purchase in a Pulte subdivision, June, 2011. My WP microwave failed to heat in 2012 and the replacement of the Magnetron and Inverter and service was covered under warranty (would have cost me $493.51). Sadly, the microwave again failed to heat in 2014. I was so disgusted with this second failure, I decided to live without a MW until January, 2016 when I paid for my second service call and learned, once again, I needed a replacement Magnetron and Inverter, to the tune of $400. Both servicemen told me the 2011 magnetron/ inverter mechanisms were new technology and did not last long. Again, sadly, when I contacted Whirlpool, they would not admit to their defective product line and indicated they could do nothing since I am out of warranty. It is unconscionable that a corporation is not liable for their defective products.

My 4-year old Whirlpool Cabrio (model WTW6600SW2) has gone out. It cost almost $300 just for the part to repair. It was lightly use; the average use was about three-four loads a week. Thats almost half the cost of what the whole machine will cost if new. I am irate. The customer service was no help. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again..

I love the convection cook top! It is very responsive. Its about as responsive as gas, which saves a significant amount of electricity! But, it is WAY easier to keep clean. I also love the warming burner! Having that 5th burner in which to keep something warm, while you finish other things in the oven or on one of the regular burners is very helpful. Its also great for melting butter. The ability of the oven to delay the start of cooking and program cooking to finish at a certain time or in a certain amount of time is also very useful when you cant attend to starting or stopping cooking in the oven.

I am getting numerous F1 codes on my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine, Model #WTW6600SW2. By doing thorough research on this issue I can see the problem is in a known defective control board (part #W10130544). This part has even been replaced by Whirlpool with a new control board costing around $300 for just the part. After calling for repair service, two people (1 agent and 1 supervisor) refused to acknowledge any known issues with this part and further refused to any type of repair or replacement of the part. It is impossible for anyone in that position to not have knowledge of this problem. Simply look on the internet for a countless number of people with this very same complaint. Even though my washer is eight years old it has had very little use. There are only two grown adults in this household and the machine has never been abused or overused. It still looks new. Whirlpool should be honest and responsible when dealing with this type of problem. They should agree to pay for the part and repair service... at the very least they should agree to pay for the part.

We purchased this washer (Whirlpool Cabrio) about two months ago and we have been extremely dissatisfied with its performance. Quite simply, it does not get clothes or anything else clean! I have tried every possible setting and still the dirt remains on anything that is even slightly soiled. So, I cant believe that things that dont look dirty are getting cleaned either. They probably arent even getting rinsed, even with the extra rinse option. It seems almost nobody likes this machine, so why is Whirlpool risking their formerly sterling company reputation by keeping it on the market? I would be happy if I could return it to the store for a refund, but that is not a possibility as far as I can tell. If you are considering buying this machine - dont!

The trim on the front the my Whirlpool electric range has rubbed off. This is where the knobs for the burners are located. It was replaced once during the Whirlpool 1 year warranty (so it obviously happened with the first year!) and again during the second year we have had it. We have an extended warranty but have been told that it is not covered. It is ecstatically unacceptable. We have not used any type of harsh cleansers on it - simply a sponge to remove any spills yet it keeps on disappearing. I strongly recommend against buying any range from Whirlpool as it is quite obvious that they do not stand behind their products beyond the first year.

Cabrio Top Washer - Disappointed!! Its selling point was using less water but do they realize that you DO have to use a little water to clean clothes. Leaves residue on every load and where I have to use the extra rinse cycle and that still doesnt work. This product is going on eBay today! Never again Whirlpool.

I have purchased a Whirlpool Washing Machine Mode W/P WM ROY 6212SD(31089) Sl.No.INF 153400517) GRAY/CHR TN 6.5 on 05.12.2015 with two years warranty on complete washing machine. The warranty period over on 04.12.2017. Exactly after over 3 months the machine start giving noise and we had been in touch Whirlpool and registered the complaint during last week of March 2018 and their local service center people visited, charged Rs.500/- service charge and informed that the machine to be taken to their service center to ascertain the complaint. After over a week informed that the machine complaints of Tub Support, Seal, Bearing, Drive etc. and the estimate is Rs.5,900/- including transportation (hardly 6 kms). The machine cost was only Rs.16,900/- then. I am surprised to know that just after 3 months of expiration of warranty the machine went wrong and the cost or repair costs me Rs.5,900/- is very huge. I hope the concerned will examine this.

WRF989SDAW02 - Oct 2013 1st refrig delivered. After 4 repairs within 6 months, Whirlpool put in a request to the Exchange Review Board to replace. New refrigerator (same model though) was delivered May 19, 2014. 4 repairs later for the exact same thing with the 1st refrigerator, it was again sent to Exchange Review Board to replace. New delivery was set for July 30, 2014. When delivery company arrived at my house with new refrig, I was told it was smashed on both sides. They would take care of contacting Whirlpool and schedule a new delivery date. From July 30, 2014 to present I still have no refrigerator from Whirlpool. I have 15 documented phone calls to Whirlpool or JB Hunt (delivery company).

Bought the refrigerator in december 2017. Called them 2 times already and just called them again on sunday. They are coming out friday the 15th again to fixed a leaking problem. The first time was the freezer was freezing up a lot of ice which they claimed it was the rubber on the bottom door of the freezer was not sealing tight enough. Second time the refrigerator was leaking so much water I was literally drying up water everyday and have towels on the floor to prevent my new floor from damage. Leaking starts again same problem. Completely frustrated now. Going to contact Consumers Affairs to see what further action I can take.

Right from the start of buying a new suite of Whirlpool appliances, the light over the range burnt out. We figured it was just a bad bulb so we replaced it. Soon it burnt out again, replaced it again, then again it burnt out. I finally called Whirlpool about the problem and found out it is the electronic panel that needs to be replaced... Of course at a full charge to me! I am so over WhirlPoo, (yes I spelled it that way on purpose) every single appliance has had issues. I have just lived without a light over my range because fixing it is more expensive than buying a whole new microwave. Never again will I buy any WhirlPoo appliance!

Its a 25 side by side and though its a large refrigerator it seems small inside. That being said I would probably not buy a side by side again. I have always bought Whirlpool made appliances and have been always satisfied. I do not like refrigerators with the freezers on top.

I was very excited when Melanie from Whirlpool customer service called me back about my complaint. WHAT A JOKE! I thought she was going to offer at least a repair considering by her own admission this same problem with my control panel of my double oven happened just last May (dead for the third time). Instead she offered me 15 to 30% off a new product if I bought it in the next 30 days! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?The first time the control panel died was when I used the self-cleaning feature. The oven never turned on again. Cost me hundreds. I have been afraid to use the self-clean feature ever since. The second time was in May and is no longer under warranty? Again it cost me hundreds!! Now I am supposed to be happy with 15% off another one of your products? Why would I have any faith in any of your products? I have since found out that Whirlpool has had so many problems with this model - they have quit making it. The repair man says Whirlpool cant make the control panels fast enough to keep up with all the repairs but this is still not under warranty - how about a recall? Do you guys stand by your products at all?

I purchased a washer and dryer set, the Cabrio Platinum Series WTW8500BRO, about 3 years ago. I had a UL code come up a year ago and the machine was serviced and all was back to normal. Then only 9 months later it started acting up again. This time it sounds like an airplane taking off and there is a black spatter leaking from underneath, also the lid lock stopped engaging. I started to look up the error code for the lid lock and while reviewing that issue it was an easy fix, however, the noise and black spatter issue led me to tons of horrible reviews about this product. It is a bearing/tub/shaft issue that is going to cost me $500 to fix. First off I did not pay cash for this set, I rented it for 3 years and paid twice what it’s worth, around $4,000. Stupid on my part but I couldn’t afford it the other way. Weekly payments were easier. Now I am scared to fix this product because of all the reviews I’ve seen from other consumers. I haven’t had the other issues like dirty clothes, not enough water, high cycle times because they all start with a high number but after it configured the load the time shrinks, but this major issue about the bearings, they say I have to replace the entire tub assembly which is half the cost of the unit. So stupid and I cannot believe Whirlpool is getting away with this crap. Please please please inform me about any lawsuits. I will gladly participate in that. They should be held accountable for such a worthless piece of junk. Like I said I am now afraid to fix this machine because from what I’m reading, more than likely it will only last a short time.

40-gal gas water heater - I own several rental properties and unfortunately put Whirlpool water heaters in them when the old ones go. It is because they are at Lowes and they are cheap. Today, another call came in from a tenant with no hot water. I called customer service and they determined I received the repair kit from an original design defect from back in the middle 2000s. Now 3 years later, it goes out again. Because I have already received the conversion kit taking thermal couple threading from LH to RH, I needed another part number to repair for a grand total of $160! The same part before the conversion kit was $60. I will never buy another Lowes/Whirlpool water heater for as long as I live. I own a hundred rentals and Whirlpool will never again see another cent for the junk water heaters.

Beware to those who are in the market for a new washing machine. I am reviewing the product not the retailer. The lack of the agitator on the machine has left the consumer very agitated! I have called Whirlpool in the first year at least three times for them to come look at it and see the pictures of the clothes. It rips but the response basically is, “It cant be helped maam.” Here is what it does: When you do a load of shirts the sleeves tangle so much your clothes rip You can do approximately 3- towels or it won’t spin correctly. A load takes forever! Now I have been doing laundry for over 40 years so I know how to do a load and I have never been so disappointed in a product I could not return, why you ask because they say there is nothing wrong with the machine. Dont do it! So Whirlpool get a 0 star rating from me but I have to give it one for this review to move forward.

We have had this Whirlpool Duet WFW9150 washer for 7 years, doing 2-4 loads a week. Overall we are quite satisfied with it. A few complaints: We are on a well, and so get the odd bit of crud in the water. The machine has filters on the inlet lines, but you must pull it out from the wall to get at them. The filters are hard to remove. If something goes wrong--power blip, or sensor something, you have to restart the cycle. There is no way to continue from where you left off. There are features I wish it had: Rinse with warm or hot water, a spin only cycle, And Im in a hurry and it isnt very dirty cycle (Shortest cycle is almost 2 hours). Whirlpool doesnt have a service center for our area. If we need repair we need to take it into town. This is inconvenient.

Whirlpool Calibri washing machine - I have the washer for 4 years and have replaced four computer boards to the tune of nearly $300 each. When Whirlpool was told of my experience, they said they were sorry. Obviously, I am too and will not buy again. You would think they would give me one board at no cost, but I guess words are cheap.

Bought brand new, Whirlpool front load washer and dryer, from Corbeil. Got both items home and connected and levelled (yes I took out the shipping bolts). Did my first washing and watched my new washer dance across the floor. Called Corbeil and they told me no refunds. Best they could do was to send out a Tech to check it. Tech came, changed the shock absorbers, a token act because the machine danced as much as it did before. Please for your own well being DO NOT buy this product and DO NOT buy from Corbeil. There are other products on the market that advertise items that dont shake.

Both the washer and dryer make terrible screeching noise. The dryer only dries on time drying. The store I bought them from have been here over 7 times too fix them. They still are not fixed. Just a terrible experience with this set from day one, load one.

The microwave (wmh32519fs) is about a little a year old. It intermittently will not start with the message close/open door. Called Whirlpool. They refused to repair because it is out of warranty (1 year). I am fed up with this issue and probably buying a new one but not Whirlpool, a crappy product!

Easter is in five days. Our dishwasher purchased in December 2014 is not working. It has been broken since December 2015. Repairmen have been here THREE times. We were told that our warranty only covers parts and repair. Our dishwasher does not wash dishes. We went for a more expensive model and it didnt last a year. Whirlpool, remember your commercial?

This is our 2nd circuit board failure in the 4-5 yrs, since we purchased this very expensive range/oven. The first time was shortly after the warranty ran out and Whirlpool would not even send us the part for free. They said there was nothing they could do. So this time we are not even contacting them and are just having our repairman order another new one. For a $1600 range to have to put more than $400 back in so far, I would never buy a Whirlpool again. I have been very careful not to use any cleaners on the circuit board as I was told by our repairman that that shorts them out. First the convect bake button wouldnt work, nor the convect roast, now the bake button, so the only buttons that work are broil and warm. Even the timer is shot. What a piece of junk (electronically). Beware buyers!

I have had this washer for about 7 years. I have not had any problems with it. I wish that it is stingy with rinse water. I see suds on the items before the rinse cycle and it doesnt seem to use enough water for a good rinse. Therefore I use the extra cycle.

Brand new Whirlpool dishwasher letting steam out ruining cabinets. Whirlpool admitted this has happened before. ** sent 3 different service repair companies to my house and all 3 told me the parts they recommended from Whirlpool was not going to fix problem. They finally after 3 different repairmen agreed to refund dishwasher. I requested they hire someone to give estimate on my kitchen cabinets. It was their product that done damage and I live in rural area and no one wants the job of restaining. If the cabinet is replaced it is expensive. Granite counters have to be removed and placed back, sink etc. I requested 3000.00 or Whirlpool send someone to give estimate. This has been dragging on for 2 months and still cant use dishwasher. Is that too much to ask for? This has been a nightmare and Whirlpool should be embarrassed. So many emails and messages and most of the time they are unreturned

I purchased an over-the-oven microwave in November 2020 (Model # WMH31017HZ). It worked until March 2021 then began tripping breaker. The Safety department at Whirlpool stated that I have to get a dedicated circuit. After spending an enormous sum to get that dedicated circuit the microwave worked until April when just opening the door caused a spark that the electrician and I observed. By now I am sure that I purchased a defective unit but Whirlpool was not believing it. (As as aside, expect to stay on hold for at least 10-30 minutes when you call Whirlpool).May 7th the serviceman from Guincho ordered parts that was needed to repair the oven. As of May 30th the part still had not arrived. Finally, after multiple calls and excessive hold time, Whirlpool agreed to refund my purchase price and as of this writing on July 26, 2021 I have not received it. In the meantime I purchased another brand microwave and have to look at their defective one until they decide to pick it up. They have lost a customer.

We bought this pair, the washer and dryer, not even two months ago. I have not liked it since day 1. My clothes do NOT clean well at all. I had to wash the same load THREE times and still there is dirt on them! Just regular dirt. No oil, grease stains or anything... dirt. I even went and purchased POD detergent to make sure I was using the correct amount of detergent... Came home and washed the load again... DIRTY. Customer service says theyll send out a technician, but if they find nothing wrong, itll cost me... I wish I had read the reviews before I purchase this junk! DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer 5 years ago because our other washer died after coming home from vacation. Its just 2 people in this household so I dont do mountains of laundry. The other machine lasted 15 years so go figure. We purchased the Cabrio from Lowes. Got the extended warranty but as it goes the machine fails when all warranties expires. Over the last couple of weeks this machine started to not complete a wash cycle. All lights go off except for spin light and machine stops. Even asked the person in charge of washers and dryers at Lowes about this who then told me to get an extension cord and plug it into a different outlet. Seriously! I have had to unplug the machine after it fails to complete cycle, wait 5 minutes or so, plug it back in, select rinse and spin, it fails again 13 minutes left in cycle, unplug again, plug it back in, select drain and spin, wait for it to MAYBE complete that cycle. Do not purchase this type of machine. Just for a technician to come look at it is $100 or more and to replace whatever circuit board is probably another $300 or more. Screw that! Going to find a good old fashion one if possible. Piece of junk. Not going to spend $700 or $1000 just to wash clothes for 2 people.

When the fridge is running and there is a power loss of about a second or so, the fridge shuts down and will not restart (even after hours). I have to unplug it for a minute or so then plug it back in; it runs fine until the next very short power failure. When we are out of town for a few days and that happens, we come home to a fridge of ruined food and a mess. I have contacted Whirlpool (2 times) and they were no help at all. It seems to me a software change could solve the problem, but they are unwilling to listen.

Never have to worry about my extra freezer products. Keeps them at the correct temperature. Plenty of room on the shelves and on the door. A great asset for large families.

I have had no trouble with this ref. There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about it. Once or twice something has fallen behind the drawers/ranks in the freezer.

Maybe they make some higher end ovens but ours was not one of them. The oven light fixture works intermittently and its only been 8 months that we have had it. The insulation on the oven is lacking as well. You can turn the oven off at 450 and within 15 mins its already below 200.

I sold my 4 yr old Maytag and bought the Cabrio 3 yrs ago because of all the manufacturer promising advertising. Its a top load with agitator, but it takes 2 hrs to wash a load and buzzes the entire time. So relaxing coming home and spending my evening listening to this buzz, so loud I have to max out my tv to hear it. With 2 hrs spent washing a load, I can only do one per evening. Whirlpool you owe all of us a replacement or a major discount coupon toward another (50%) if you are worth anything at all. You are scum!

I am so disappointed with this washer. I totally dread doing laundry. The following are the complaints: Every load comes out totally twisted and wrinkled!! The soap/fabric dispenser holds water after each load (I have to take paper towels and get the dispenser empty!!!). There is not enough water to properly clean the clothes. I have never noticed a reduction in my water bill and have had this piece of junk since 4-25-13. There is NO short cycle on this junk machine. There is an odor to my towels - like they are musty - after I dry them and use them. I use Tide HE detergent and clean the washer with Affresh (you shouldnt have to clean a washer). I should have taken the time to write a review much sooner, but decided today was the day after doing laundry. DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER.

We our adding our name to a list that is remarkably long. We purchased a top loading Cabrio washing machine just over a year ago and the problems with the balancing of the unit are the same as everyone else who has written in. The service company A&E has promised a lot but has done little to resolve the issues we have had with the machine. One representative told us that she would order the part and have it sent to our home. When the part did not arrive, we called A&E back only to find out it was never ordered because the service technician would not return their phone calls. I find this excuse ridiculous and similar to other false statements they have given us on the other four phone calls made to address the problem. After reading these reviews, we realize that this is only the beginning of what will be a frustrating and costly experience. Never again will we buy a Whirlpool!

I had sold appliance for ten years. I purchase a Whirlpool Cabrio 2010. After two years started rusting. It is rusting on the outside and now on the inside, that I cannot wash delicates or whites. I so disappointed. I had lots of confidence in Whirlpool. The model is wtw7300xwo... I call talk to whirlpool but got no help. Now I going to need to purchase a new washer. It will not be a Whirlpool.

My Whirlpool is almost 20 yrs now and we thought we were going to have to get a new one! New ones aren’t equipped with what mine has so after much investigating we decided to try a water inlet part for $35 delivered and oh to our surprise it is still performing like new. I bought my Whirlpool range in 2009. Good thing I bought an extra warranty because since then, my oven has stopped working about 5 or 6 times. When I turn the oven on, it does the clicking sound, it starts up then it turns off and sometimes it doesnt even turn on. In 2010, I had my turkey ready for the oven at Thanksgiving. I turned on the oven and nothing. I had to cut the turkey and deep fry it. In 2011, same time on Thanksgiving and now Ive been waiting for 2 weeks for the part. I have 4 kids. I need an oven. I cant take this anymore. Also, out of the blue, sometimes the stove top starts clicking on its own and it scares the hell out of us. I have to unplug the stove. Help.

Model CAE2745FQ0, Serial #C72680766 - Purchased this coin op clothes washer 2/2/2018 at Brandsmart, Deerfield Beach FL. Would not empty or spin correctly; 1st service call 2/28/2018. (Less than 30 days from purchase date). 3/21/2018 called Whirlpool again as same problem continues (as listed above). Washer is not being overloaded. Whirlpool repair visit scheduled again for 3/23/2018. This is the 2nd repair time since we purchased the washer on 2/28/2018. Purchased the same model 2 years ago, and experienced repeated problems to the point where we got rid of that machine and purchased the most current model referenced here. We are looking for a full refund of the purchase price as it appears that this recently purchased machine is on its way to be a repeat performance of the 1st machine that we got rid of (that was purchased 2 years ago). Again, we want the full purchase price refunded, which is $900.88. This machine is not even 2 months old. Thank you.

GFG461LVT2 - In October of 2010 I purchased a Whirlpool Gold Fridge and Stove. Its been about 3.5 years and two of the caps that go on top of the range burners are chipped. All of the caps are badly stained and despite the manual instructions to wash them in mild soapy water, they do not come clean. They dont come clean using heavy duty Easy Off cleaner. In addition, the seal on the oven door has apparently failed because the glass is foggy on the inside. Today I phoned Whirlpool after going to their website. I first spoke to a parts representative who advised that I would have to pay $47.00 per cap or $115.00 for all five burner caps. I was transferred to another department as I thought I should get the appliance parts and door fixed for free. The appliance is only 3.5 years old. I was told that the appliance is only guaranteed for 1 year and I would have to pay dearly to remedy the two problems. This appliance is Whirlpools Gold series. It supposed to be top-of-the-line - the price tag was certainly top of the line. Im very disappointed in American workmanship and the companys lack of integrity. Not too long ago I purchased a Whirlpool (aka Maytag) front loading washer. I now own a Samsung. The point is that designed obsolescence will force consumers to purchase products made outside of the US because some of us cannot afford to buy or repair appliances, cars, etc., every couple of years.

I am very disappointed in my purchase of Whirlpool High-Efficiency washer and dryer. It does not clean my clothes! I have white towels in my bathrooms, I have them for years. They have always come out perfectly white with the regular washer I had for years. Not any more! They now come out with yellow spots all over them. Dark clothes come out with a white residue on them that looks like there has been a napkin in the wash. I talked to Sears where I purchased it, they said I might be using too much detergent, so I have tried using less to no avail! I hate my washer!

I bought my 50 gallon gas water heater in December 2015. When kicks on it rumbling. I called warranty and they said We will send tech out but I will have pay the labor. Why do I want pay for a tech if the quality issue is the water heater. Need pay $180 for person come out say its defective. No sense to me. Then when they tell me need new water heater pay them for install. You can check my accounts I used to shop Lowes and will no longer do it because of this service.

I have had this refrigerator for over 25 years and cant ask for anything better than that. Would buy another Whirlpool refrigerator. Has original french doors at top and bottom door on freezer. However, I dont particularly like the pull out drawer that the new refrigerators have now as I get so much more room with a door. The new refrigerators have improved rubber around the doors. That is the only thing I had to replace on this refrigerator.

I am 72 years old and this Whirlpool Energy Star HE Washing Machine is just useless. It does not clean clothes properly. It always leaves a stinky washing machine smell which never goes away despite no matter what you do. A completely useless, faulty washing machine! Never ever buy a Whirlpool HE washing machine! Some websites say that you need to buy a washer fan at a cost of $69.99 and attach it to the back of your washing machine as this is the only way you can get rid of the smell. Who has that kind of money? Why is this fan not already included in this washing machine if Whirlpool is aware of the smelly washing machine/smelly clothes problem? This is such a joke! We would like to be reimbursed for our deficient Whirlpool Washing Machine or at the very least, have a recall of this inefficient, poorly designed washing machine. Report them to the Better Business Bureau and anyone else you think can resolve this problem - thanks!! - Unhappy camper

My contractor purchased a Whirlpool NU50T61-403 water heater at Lowes. After several months the gas valve stopped working. Whirlpool sent a replacement gas valve which stopped working after a month. When I complained they offered to send another replacement, which I declined. They also offered to have it repaired by 2 firms which were very poorly rated on Yelp. Whirlpool stubbornly refused any other remedy. As I needed to resolve this right away because tenants were depending on having hot water. I replaced it with another hot water heater. In summary I wasted $570 for 9 months of use.

In 2008 bought cheaper Whirlpool washer, had to return it to Lowes. ELLL DUMOH (me) buys yet another Whirlpool Washer from Lowes; a Cabrio. The Cabrio ONLY worked 3 years, and started having problems with not emptying or just continuing to drain and beep. The Whirlpool Customer Service lady is pitiful. Yeah... I can SELL you another set of shock absorbers... that might help. I can SELL you a recirculating pump or a drain pump... Pitiful, sorry attitude. Goodbye Whirlpool.

Refrigerator was purchased in March 2015. Icemaker filled the basket two times then never worked properly again. The water would enter the tray, freeze, but never drop the cubes. In order to drop the cubes, we had to unplug the refrigerator for a moment then we would have those few cubes. We used one service company sent by Whirlpool that came 3 times, adjusted temp, and replaced one electrical part. It didnt work. The repairman was going to call for support from Whirlpool to see if anyone else had had this problem. I didnt hear back from him until I called him 1 1/2 weeks later. He basically said there was nothing else he could do. Whirlpool sent out another service company. He replaced 2 electrical parts. They didnt work. We have no choice but to keep having service men come out and try to repair the refrigerator. What happens when the warranty has expired? They are trying to sell me an extended warranty. Give me a break. It would be nice to have a working refrigerator first. I wish I would have read these reviews before I ever bought a Whirlpool. Im 78 and Im still learning. Never again, Whirlpool. Ill spread the news as well because we all work too hard for our money to throw it away on poor products.

Weve had the 3 door model (side by side fridge with chilled water inside and full width deli drawer, freezer on bottom w/ Icemaker) for 13 months now with absolutely no problems. Chilled water inside frees up door for more storage.

I am a single mother of a 5 year old and I take care of my mother as well. I purchased a whirlpool because I believed them to be reliable, boy was I mistaken! I am in the military and while on an 8-month deployment I got a message from my mother that the washing machine had stopped working. Here is my mother who cannot drive - with laundry bags and a 5 year old in tow walking to the laundromat to wash, only to carry wet laundry back to the house to dry. Thanks a lot Whirlpool! My cousin in Michigan tried to help my mother with the company and a repairman as much as possible from over the phone. Here is what I got:The washer repairman came this morning. He did the diagnosis but I did not approve the replacement parts and repairs. First of all, he said that the motor control board was bad. To replace it with a new board would be $503 and a refurbished one would be $490.03. If the motor control board was replaced, it might fix the problem with the user interface. If not, the cost to replace that would be $302.62.Apparently there are 4 boards that could have problems. He also said there was a problem with the start button. Anyway, we ended up paying for the service call ($129), but I thought the cost for the replacement parts was too much to justify when we could get a new one for about the same cost. He recommended that we get a Service Contract when buying something new because of the cost to replace the parts.While doing some research online, unless you purchase an extended warranty or have experience in 2M; you will be researching new washers every 2-4 yrs. What happened to built to last? It seems to me all this technology/circuit boards/computers to make things work have degraded the appliance quality.Im sorry for the bad news but I just wanted you to have all the info. Let me know what you think. I know the washer is only a little over 2 years.

The Cabrio is the absolute worst washer that Ive ever owned! No matter what combination of setting I use, my clothes come out dingy, all twisted and wrinkled, and full of lint and detergent residue (I use liquid detergent made specifically for HE washers). Every setting runs for over an hour. So much for high efficiency! What it saves on water it more than wastes on electricity!! More often than not, the entire load becomes enveloped in one of the items to create one huge ball. A t-shirt stretched to encompass the remaining clothes into a perfect sphere! When that happens, some of the laundry in the middle of the big ball is barely damp. The dryer is just as bad, even the towels come out wrinkled. How is that possible? And again, it takes over an hour to dry a load.Whirlpool customer service is awful. When I called to complain, the agent began schooling me on how to wash clothes. Im 66 years old, Ive washed a few clothes in my lifetime and have always prided myself in my white whites and bright colors. I have a new house and the builder provided all the appliances. Based on my past negative experience with Whirlpool products and their customer service, I would not have purchased Whirlpool.

I was going to write a negative review after our Whirlpool stove oven stopped working. We only had it for three years. Technician’s visit today was $70 for the information that we would be better off buying a new one because the motherboard is gone. However, after reading all the horror stories which are already here, I realize that we are relatively lucky - at least, our stove worked for 3 years... Still very disappointed and unhappy. No more Whirlpool products!

Aqualift cleaning does not work. I am old with bad knees and do not need an oven that has to be cleaned manually. This technology is a joke and everyone who bought one should be reimbursed. One reviewer indicated that there should be a class action lawsuit for this situation. I agree!

Ive read the reviews on this appliance. First of all the all of the washing machine being manufactured are designed to save energy and water. The water is loaded in the machine based on the WEIGHT of the clothes. the washing machines no longer have the features to (small, medium, large load) so the consumer can fill the machine. Having said that, most sales representatives will tell you appliances manufactured today are no longer designed to last 15-20 years, although they are way more expensive than the workhorses made in the past.I got rid of my fancy Samsung washing machine because it broke down at least 4 times within the first year of purchase and decided to go with the whirlpool because Ive had a workhorse in the past that was worked excellent. I love the fact the washers no longer have the agitator in the middle which allow me to wash my king sized bedding without the machine becoming unbalanced or making a lot of noise. So far the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer is working very well. Id rather give the Whirlpool a chance any day over the new johnny come latelys, which are more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes but are failing miserably in performance. I also love my Cabrio 8.8 dryer. They both work better than the Samsung models I got rid of.

I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT IN MY LIFETIME!!!! If I could I would rate this fridge and Whirlpool’s repair and customer service a NEGATIVE 100. My wife and myself purchased this refrigerator on 6/2/19. On 6/16/19 we noticed that it was not cooling as should, we called in to set up a repair service call only to find out that we had to wait until 6/20/19 to have a service tech come out to look at the refrigerator. When the service person came out to look at it he stated that it needed a sensor??? And that they would have to wait until the evaporator thawed out to replace the sensor. We had to reschedule another tech on the following Monday 6/24/19 to replace the part. 8 days after the refrigerator stopped cooling.Now fast forward 2 weeks and now we have the exact same issue, whatever was fixed did not correct the issue. We had to call back into Whirlpool to make a setup another service call. We have to wait 5 more days until a service tech can come out to recheck the issue. Whirlpool offered no other assistance. If I could I would return this defective unit and buy a different brand of refrigerator. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT IN MY LIFETIME!!!! I will make sure that I let everyone I know that I would never recommend a Whirlpool product!!

After 22 years, I replaced my Whirlpool, electric, 50 gallon water heater, due to age and it was still working well. Went to Lowe's and they do not carry Whirlpool any longer, so I purchased and installed an A.O. Smith water heater, electric, 50 gallon water heater, model ES12-50R55DV110. Hoping for as good a product now, as I had from my Whirlpool. Also, I installed myself.

The washer was 5 months old and broke. Three service appointments and multiple phone calls, it still wasn’t fixed. Whirlpool sent rusty parts out to my home and that was the second excuse for not fixing the washer. The poor service guy must have been 70 years old. Hello, how do washer parts get rusty when they are not even used and are kept in a box?
