The repairman said the shaft, which of course is one piece with the outer drum, is corroded. Really? Did we not expect water in our washing machine? The repair is $500. After reading all the bazillion complaints on this model (on the internet), I have decided not to repair the piece of junk!

I purchased the washer 1.5 years ago. At about 9 months, the latch was in need of replacing. The washer was locked and would not unlock. That was fixed. Fast forward to 1.5 years old and the control board needs replacing. The washer stopped in the midst of a cycle, filled with water. The repairs are over $400 -- nearly the price of a new washer. Ive never had a washer to go out on me. I willingly gave away my previous washer for the purchase of a newer model and did not expect this fiasco. I will recommend against purchasing a Whirlpool washer.

I have purchased 2 Ikea/Whirlpool ovens in 2011 from Ikea in Canada. I have used the self clean feature on both ovens and both ovens quit completely and the doors stayed locked. This problem is discussed hundreds of times on the internet for Whirlpool, Ikea and Kitchen Aid ovens. Since they are all made by Whirlpool they are all very similar or exactly the same in some cases, as is the problem. I have discussed this with Ikea and they have said they didnt know about the problem but would help to get it fixed to my satisfaction. I have had Whirlpool authorized service repair both ovens but after trying the self clean feature again, same problem.During one of my conversations with an Ikea representative on the phone, she contacted Whirlpool and was told that if the oven was repaired 3 times and deemed by the service technician as unrepairable, Whirlpool would do a buyback. In other words according to Ikea, Whirlpool would take the oven and pay me what I paid for the oven. Well after contacting the authorized service dept (not Whirlpool itself) for the third time, they did some investigation with Whirlpool about the problem. To his and my amazement, Whirlpool has come up with a fix as of October 2013. The technician ordered the new kit and installed it in both ovens. I have since tried the self clean in one oven and this time it worked. For the information of others, Whirlpool has the kit and in it is an instruction sheet with pictures as to how to replace and install all the parts in the kit.I watched the installation, quite a process. From the instruction sheet there is a number on it. Here is the number - w10625529 rev. A 10/13. This is an instruction sheet for Ikea TOD (thermal overload device) service kit. I have looked at many of the service parts diagrams on the internet for many different current models of Ikea, Whirlpool and Kitchen Aid ovens and in most cases almost all the inside parts are the same or very very similar which leads me to the conclusion that this service kit may work in most of these ovens to correct the same problem, but I suggest checking with the appropriate service people before taking my word for it. My observation is that the kit moves the TOD off the top of the metal plate of the oven and onto a new bracket which the tech thought it was to get it further away from heat (this Im not sure of since Im not an expert). He also suggested that this kit may also be designed to allow more air flow around the oven.My only concern after having the self clean feature finally work is the heat produced inside the kitchen cabinet in which the oven is installed. Approximately an hour and a half after turning the self clean on, I felt the side of the cabinet between it and the fridge (open space), and at one area of the wood cabinet I could not hold my hand on the cabinet as it was too very hot. I will be checking the inside of the cabinet for signs of excess heat and if I see any evidence, I will again call the service people. Since the elements were not on when I checked this, I assume the self clean had finished the heat cycle and was in the process of cooling down. When I test the other oven, I will make sure the elements are still on as I can see them thru the glass door. When I checked the temperature of the outside wood cabinet using a laser thermometer, the outside wood registered 64 degrees C or 142 F approximately. Not sure what the inside temperature was as the oven was still in place. Hopefully I will not get a higher reading when the self clean is at its maximum temperature in the cleaning cycle. Will the oven create any problems in the future for the cabinet, I hope not but time will tell. For clarification, the cabinets were built by a kitchen cabinet company using the instruction sheet that came with the ovens. I hope some of this will be of help to some of the hundreds of people who have posted this very same problem on the internet. When you have paid for an appliance you wanted because of the features it came with, it should provide you with what you paid for and not constantly break down. Im lucky as they came with a 5-year warranty so it hasnt cost me anything yet and hopefully wont in the future. Good luck to all in getting this resolved for all of you.

I’ve had my washer and dryer for a long time and it has been okay and it’s time to update. It has had its up and down and I may get another just after a while they are outdated and better appliances come along. Smarter people are making smarter things.

After almost 5 years of satisfactory performance, our $1200 Whirlpool Duet washing machine WFW9400SU1 requires repairs costing over $1100. Similar to another complaint listed, some parts rusted out, leading to extensive damage during use, which we realized only after the spin cycle became incredibly loud. Now the entire gut of the machine (bearing, drum, arm, casing, etc.) needs to be replaced - $900 parts and $200 labor. I trust my repairman (who said theyd seen this type of problem before with Whirlpool) especially because he recommended buying a new machine instead. I called Whirlpool, and they said they could do nothing for me which made me very angry. This is a mechanical problem that could have been avoided by using proper materials. Whatever happened to the washing machines that would last 15-20 years?

We bought this dishwasher only 18 months ago and its not worth the money we paid. We have had cheaper models that cleaned way better and didnt need as much maintenance as this one. We already had to spend another $410.00 in having the motor replaced in it!! When calling Whirlpool it only has a 1-year warranty and to have a technician come out just to look at it is $150.00. It is so hard to see in the part where you put the jet dry it doesnt tell you when its full or empty and no matter what it always leaves the dishes wet after. Our other dishwasher that was a way cheaper model always cleaned our dishes and never left any food on the dishes unlike this model and we even rinse the dishes beforehand! Look for another dishwasher to save yourself money in the long run!

I purchased a front loading Whirlpool washing machine March 2017. I have need to have the drain pump replaced and the motherboard replaced. Each repair took 30 to 45 days to get parts and service. I would not recommend the washing machine.

We bought a Whirlpool washer and dryer set (Cabrio WED7300XWO) 2 years ago. Within that time, the door seal fell off and needed to be replaced. The drive belt pulley became detached, and now the drum seal has fallen out and had wrapped into the clothes. I have never experienced such a substandard product. We would trade back this one for our 15-year old set we had replaced it with at the drop of a hat. We are retired and have a summer home, and only use this product 4-5 months a year. Never again, Whirlpool!

I have had my washer & dryer about 12 yrs. It has given me great service; however the spin mechanism on the washer stopped one month ago. It was replaced thru my home appliance warranty. I need the front loader style because Im disabled now, and cant take clothes out of washer. My previous set was Kenmore & it lasted 20 years. Looking to purchase in 2 months.

Our Whirlpool water heater needs a burner assembly replaced. Second time within the warranty period of six years. Parts have to be ordered, so you will be without hot water for several days to a week. The worst part is reaching them. Between my wife and I, we have almost 4 hours invested in sitting on hold waiting for someone in three different calls. They never answer the phone. They give an option to call back. They never call back. Im so frustrated. No Whirlpool products ever again. Im sitting at my desk, hoping someone will eventually answer the Whirlpool line. I dont even have the part ordered yet after two days of no hot water. Who knows how many more hours I will need to sit here and listen to this music on hold. It is incredible in 2021 a company can remain open while offering this kind of customer experience.

Bought new dishwasher on 11/29/2013. Model #WDT710PAYM. The top rack cannot hold much weight. It keeps collapsing. One side keeps falling out of the track. Had man in for repair, still doing it. They sent me a new rack and rollers, still doing it. Having repair man come back again in a few days. I am so disappointed with Whirlpool. I cant believe they went so cheap in building these machines. I gave away a whirlpool gold that was 20 yrs old and it is still going strong with no problems. I just wanted to update up kitchen with stainless steel appliances. I will never buy whirlpool again!! This cannot be fixed. It just doesnt fit tight. Im stuck with a bad dishwasher and shouldnt be.

The washer does clean simple stains. The clothes end up all twisted (sleeves & pant legs). Antiperspirant gets transferred to dark clothing. Large loads do not get clean and the response from Whirlpool was run everything on hot and for longer than normal times. The enviro rating and low water usage claim has resulted in a machine that does NOT fully clean clothes. Look elsewhere and do not buy.

While the washer is great, the reliability of the dryer is lacking. The timer has broken 3 times on ours in 3 years. Each time the cost of the switch is $75.00. Too much plastic on the shaft. If the plastic was removed, and the shaft was metal, it would be a definite improvement.

The pilot light went out on our Whirlpool hot water heater. We followed instructions and were unable to relight. Our plumber was also unable to relight so we ordered new parts with associated overnight express costs. The plumber returned and worked for over an hour. When the pilot light came on the burner assembly burned out the new thermo coupling and that needed to be replaced again. This happened again. I would like to join the class action suit as Whirlpool has known about this problem and consumers are paying more than the original cost of the unit for repairs.

After owning the Cabrio washing machine (WTW5700XW, purchase price $629) for approximately 18 months, it began stalling at the spin cycle, leaving the clothes sopping wet. We found we had to unplug the machine to reboot the computer, and then we were able to manually choose the drain and spin cycle to complete the cycle. Before beginning a new wash cycle, we have to unplug to reboot again, or it sticks in a perpetual pump cycle.I scheduled a repair appointment from the Whirlpool automated service system. The repair man determined the computer control panel has to be replaced. Diagnostic service call was $136, repair est, $321.67, repair service call, $60-130. Total repair cost on an 18-month old machine was $520+. I declined the repair in hope of getting extended warranty coverage from Whirlpool. Nobody has responded to my email complaint from one week ago, not even a computer acknowledgment of receipt of my email.

Brand new dishwasher never worked. After getting the runaround from Bethel Park Home Depot. I was told I had to call Whirlpool. After being on hold 3 separate times for more than 12 minutes each time, they scheduled a repairman in a weeks time. He said the motor was bad and had to order. Wont be back out until after Christmas. I asked Whirlpool to replace this lemon. Customer service told me they never replace if they can fix. What if something else is wrong? They didnt care. Very rude. Told me manager would tell me the same thing. Never buy Whirlpool. Appliances are faulty and customer service rude. This has been a nightmare experience. Feeling very helpless at this point.

I purchased a Cabrio Platinum 4.6 top-loading washer with model number WTW8240YW0 in January of 2013. My machine has a consistent/re-occurring problem of not rinsing the clothes well. After multiple washings, including the extra rinse, my dark clothing still come out with lint, dog hair, dirt and white residue all over them. I have already checked to see if the hot/cold hoses might have been crossed. I also checked for water pressure to see if water is exiting the machine properly. It is still under warranty, and I have scheduled for a repairman. However, I will most likely return the washer to Lowes.

Cleans dishes very well, a bit noisy maybe that just the model I have. Exterior is very nice, interior there is plenty of space for the dishes and pans. There are no streaks on the glasses. No soap scum left on the dishes at all, very good unit.

Ive had this dishwasher for years and never a problem. My dishes are always clean and this dishwasher dries my dishes completely in a very short amount of time.

Whirlpool Cabrio platinum washer (JUNK. DO NOT BUY). As mentioned in other complaints, the Cabrio top loading washer is garbage. Sound during the spin cycle is VERY LOUD because of a bearing noise. The clothes dont even get clean, lint all over dark clothes. I am the only person in the household so the machine did not get used as much as a family would use it. DO NOT BUY THE CABRIO WASHERS.

I purchased a Whirlpool hot water gas heater with a six-year warranty. It only lasted three years. When I called for an RA#, I was told, Well, well send you a part after you get a plumber and pay for it. Meanwhile, there is water all over the cellar floor. I called again and was told the same thing. Two weeks of no hot water and no help from Whirlpool. I will never order anything Whirlpool ever again. They stink.

House is 3 years old, builder put in all new Whirlpool appliances... first 2 years dishwasher leaked causing 18k in water damages... now the microwave just went out. BUYER BEWARE... I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer in 2011. It has been nothing but trouble since. I have had repair people out here several times, because the machine twists and tangles the clothes, doesnt get the clothes clean. Sometimes the clothes come out dry without even getting them wet. There are lots of soap scum too. I would NEVER buy another one of these. SO DISAPPOINTED.

We purchased a WHIRLPOOL appliance 1.5 yrs ago. Approximately 7 months after purchase, the refrigerator began making a high pitch whining noise. We contacted WHIRLPOOL who sent out a mechanic who really appeared to not know much about the product. He made some sort of bogus repair and call himself fixing the problem. Well, a few months later, same problem... same noise. Now we are asking WHIRLPOOL to help and theyve done NOTHING. Now we are fighting between LOWES and WHIRLPOOL to fix our problem. We spent $2,000 on this appliance and I feel like we purchased a LEMON refrigerator. Did I mention the ICE MAKER seems to be the keen problem. I will NEVER purchase another WHIRLPOOL appliance. Whirlpool Gas Range WFG540H0es - Purchased 2 months ago. After 2 weeks there was a spill. The black burner caps are powder coated. After cooling we washed it with dish detergent & a sponge. The powder coating came off. Called the company. They replaced burner caps. Last week there was a spill and it stained the burner bases which are powder coated in a silver color. We tried 409 cleaner, Windex, dish detergent with a sponge. Could NOT get the stain out started removing powder coating. Called the company they ONLY guarantee cosmetic appearance 30 days. They wanted $139.00 for a new set of burner bases. I am going to go back to Lowes & see if we can return this Whirlpool range.

I have a Whirlpool refrigerator and it is the 2nd one in 12 months. The first one the refrigerator was freezing food in the fridge part and thawing food in the freezer part. After several times a technician came to try to fix the problem and arguments with Whirlpool. They finally replaced the refrigerator. The new one is now doing the same thing. I am contacting Whirlpool tomorrow.

I purchased the refrigerator/freezer, Whirlpool model GX5SHDXVQ02, 2 years 10 months ago. It is now not keeping the refrigerator portion of the unit cold or even cool. It is 70 inside the refrigerator although the freezer portion is doing a fine job. This unit is not even 3 years old yet! To top it off, the unit only has one year warranty on any part. The repair person is now here and replacing the control board. This piece alone is costing me $184.12. Then the labor hours and service call. I should have trashed it and bought a new, different brand. Not even three years old. My last refrigerator/freezer lasted 13+ years with no problems.

WORST EXPERIENCE USING WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR. I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator in July 2013 (Model - Whirlpool Ref New 495 CLUB IMPERIA). Suddenly it stopped working on May 12 and I registered a compliant to the customer care. Engineer came in same and I was surprised by the service, he checked and said he rectified the problem and he left. But the problem was still there and it was never rectified. I launched the complaint again on May 13 and engineer came again and said there is gas problem in Compressor and he left by saying that another engineer will come to refill the gas in compressor. Next day new engineer came in he checked everything and said this compressor is not working and needs to be replaced. I said go ahead and replace it, he said it will take 1-2 days. I said “ok lets do it.” But now theyre saying that they do not have the compressor in stock and they will change the appliance. Again as I do not have another option I said “ok lets do it.”Now the drama start: they are saying I need to pay 20% as a depreciation of the total cost of the refrigerator + INR 1000/- (Cartage) + difference of the new refrigerator which comes to around INR 21,000/-. Well can someone tell me why I need to pay this huge amount when my appliance is still in 10 years of warranty and its just compressor problem and rest of the product is just fine. After fighting with them come to a conclusion that I need pay INR 10,200/- and I will get the new appliance. Now when I already paid the DEMAND DRAFT (DD) of this amount now no one is responding to me on when I will be getting a delivery of the new Refrigerator. Only God knows when I will be getting this. In this HOT summer we are facing a lot of issues just because of their bad service. No one from Customer Care is giving me any response nor are they taking my calls now.Now can someone tell me what I should do? I am left with no option and thinking of taking a legal action against them and thinking of launching a complaint in Consumer Court against them. I purchased a Whirlpool accubake oven in 2010. The repairman has been out to repair it 5 times. Thats right 5 times. It wont maintain the baking temperature. They have changed the mother board, the ignition switch, the harness, and the thermostat. Every time the repairman leaves it works and then I go to bake something and it doesnt. Once it reaches 350 degrees the oven cuts off. You can hear it trying to ignite but its like the fire doesnt catch. I have to shut it off, press bake and heat it up all over again. This is so annoying. Bad thing is I like the look of the oven but clearly this is a shotty product. I will never buy a Whirlpool again.

I purchased a brand new Whirlpool washing machine only 2 yrs ago. Rather than lasting upward of 10 yrs with normal use as advertised, the machine is nothing more than a giant wash tub. It doesnt Drain and Spin properly. The clothes are still wet at the end of the cycle and I have to either attempt to wring all items by hand or set the machine to Drain and Spin for a second time. Now, it no longer agitates the clothes during either the wash or the rinse. I am SO disappointed in this and very angry that I trusted this well known brand with my hard-earned money. I am also angry at myself for not reviewing internet posts as I am hearing the exact same experiences by others time and again.

We saw water all over my wood floor and traced it to the lower freezer unit of my 15-month old refrigerator/freezer. We had to call a repairman which traced the problem to a frozen defrost. He put in a new thermometer at the tune of $200 and now we have to deal with a wood floor problem on top of it. I purchased because Whirlpool was always known to be a quality product. I wont make that mistake again.

We had purchased a Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer and Dryer in 2007. Since that time we have had several repairs on the dryer, resulting in us having to purchase an entire new unit in 2011 (4 years old), along with mold that has accumulated in the washing machine on the tub and rubber seal that cannot be removed after several attempts utilizing several products that were recommended. The end result is our laundry that has been washed - comes out with a musty odor. Not happy at all with the top of the line, best possible machine to produce clean laundry as was sold to us! This has been a nightmare, and a totally dysfunctional appliance that should have lasted longer than 5 years!

My wife and I purchased our Whirlpool Duet Model # WFW95HEDC 7/19/16. I put my first claim in on 12/19/16. We were sitting downstairs one night watching tv and all of a sudden a noise like the sound of a tractor trailer putting on its jake brake came roaring from upstairs. It was so loud that we both jumped. The machine would periodically vibrate violently while going thru its spin cycle. The frequency started to get closer and closer together. Whirlpool had a technician come to our home. They came out 3 times and said that nothing was wrong. They said that it was vibrating because it was on a pedestal and upstairs on a non solid floor. They also blamed the loose water hose on the noise. SERIOUSLY??? After the 3rd visit, and a week before the 4th visit our machine started to leak. We paid $1,079.00 for this washer and we were having to take our laundry to a laundromat to wash it. The technician came out the 4th time and replaced a cracked drum. Apparently it vibrated so badly that the drum cracked. So everything seemed ok, then WHALAH!!! We wash the clothes and go to move it to the dryer and it is dripping wet. Somehow after they replaced the drum the machine started to not spin the water from the clothes very well. Takes drying the clothes for 50min 2x to get them dry. I am now set to have the appliance company come out for a 5th time and still not corrected. Whats worse is that every time I contact Whirlpool they give me the same canned speech and want to set up another appointment with the appliance company. I am soon at the year mark with my manufacturers warranty and still having issues. I think Whirlpool keeps kicking the can down the road without making good on correcting the issue so they can get past the year mark and make us take it up with Home Depot on our extended service plan. I feel bad for everyone out there who got screwed by this company.

About two months ago the washer starting stopping and the UL light continued to come on during every spin cycle. So I would adjust the clothes and start it again. So I decided that I should call a certified serviceman to come out and access the problem. Today a certified serviceman came out to access the problem. After about twenty minutes I was told the tub needed to be replaced and the cost and labor would be $600 or more. I do realize that the washer is about 8 years old but to completely need a repair like a new tub. I am very upset and have no idea what to do.

The Cabriolet washer and dryer act funny. I really believe its because they are digital... Didnt they realize that at some point moisture would affect controls? Idiots! And if a cycle is stuck, you cant manually move it forward or backward... you know, how the standard machine works... yeah the one with knobs!! Sometimes computers are not necessary and this is one of them... too damn advanced!! Id rather have a good old American washer. Not worth it. I get a better wash at the laundromat. # pissed.

I absolutely HATE my Cabrio washer/dryer. I cannot get the mold smell out of my clothes. The clothes come out dirty and smelly. I have no idea what to do about it. 18 months ago, we purchased a Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer. Having previously only purchased Whirlpool washers and dryers for over 40 years, we decided to continue because we had enjoyed positive experiences with all of our previous purchases over the years. Now, our washer has quit working properly, the door locks and wont open on the washer and the repairman arrived today with parts to replace based on the code messages popping up on the washer screen. However, now, hes not certain if the motor has burned out or if it is some other problem. We also purchased a French door frig from Whirlpool barely 13 months ago (bottom freezer) and recently had to have that repaired when one of the electronic boards went out and the freezer quit working and icing up.In both of these cases, the appliances started giving us problems just as soon as the warranties were up; what has happened to Whirlpool reliability and dependability of their products? We cant help but feel that our China-based parts are part of the change and will, in the future, not purchase any more Whirlpool products. We are grossly disappointed and feel cheated with these appliances.

The Cabrio washing machine I was told by salesman best made so I spent big $$, makes sense right?! Wrong! During spin cycles sounds like jet plane taking off, was told barrings or drive shaft is at fault cause water seeping inside, causing rust, Whirlpool didn’t seal it or designed it to ensure no seepage. Whirlpool side by side - What more can I say? A 1-year warranty is all Whirlpool can afford to give anyone since the compressor broke a few months after. They are paying for parts, but we are paying $300 for labor to fix a $1,200 fridge... in addition to having to be without it for a month, losing defrosted food, etc. Fortunately, the dealer gave us a loaner.

We purchased our home brand new in June 2010 and with it came all Whirlpool appliances. We started having cosmetic problems with our over the counter microwave about 2 years later (model WMH2175XVS-2). The plastic casing around the door handle started to crack on the top and the bottom and now both pieces are completely gone as they fell off. The handle is still attached and the microwave is usable; however, it looks shoddy. To replace it, we were told by a Whirlpool authorized repair person that you would have to replace the whole door at a cost of $300 or more if you include labor. I am disappointed that this happened and that we cant get it repaired. It makes me think again about purchasing more Whirlpool appliances.

We have had our washer just over a year when the plastic hose that fills the detergent tray began leaking. The entire assembly is plastic and poor quality. Whirlpool customer service says since it is after 1 year, that I would need to pay for the parts & service ($489). I would not recommend this machine or anything Whirlpool.

In all of my 50 years of marriage and buying stoves, I have never had an oven breakdown. I live in Canada - I purchased three appliances, all Whirlpool 2 years ago. I had to have a service call on the fridge three weeks ago - a little rubber nipple was clogged up and water was running into my freezer. Bill $100.00 - two weeks ago, the broil element in my stove would not turn off when the bake cycle heated up. Actually, you did not have to press the fast heat button as the broil came on by itself. I have been waiting almost two weeks for the part - today I was told it would be another week. The part has to come from the US - what ever happened to Whirlpool Canada???? - I am told the bill will be $350.00 and maybe more plus the service call. I do not find this acceptable. What do you do when you have already invested the money in the product. Bring back the old Moffat stoves. I would like to be reimbursed for the money I have put out and will put out.

I got a Whirlpool washer front loader model number wfw9151yw. Every time I wash sheets, they go into a ball. I called Whirlpool. They sent out a service guy. He said do not wash sheets in a front loader. I called the store. They said call Whirlpool again. Then the second service guy moved the legs down about 1 in. The machine still not right. I feel Whirlpool should replace the machine or give me my money back.

Hi team, I have to lodge this complaint after because of getting continuous problems I have suffered with my Whirlpool fully automatic washing machine top load 11 kg bloom wash 360 degree. I purchased the abovesaid brand new washing machine on 1st Jan 2017. Since the purchase I am struggling with this machine. I raised the fault in the beginning itself and the service was done on 5th of Feb. They suggested me to go for the AMC and to be on the safer side, I also took AMC under warranty period only. (AMC card - My cheque dates and service details all are mentioned onto it.) Recently I faced another issue on 26th Feb for which ticket was raised. Engineer visited on 27th Feb and advised us to replace the motor part. On 3rd March they replaced motor mechanism and ball-bearings. Then engineer advised us to check the working by giving a trial wash.I started the machine to wash clothes and after 20 mins machine started making abnormal noise. (I have made video of it, audio of the video captured the noise). I again called up the service engineer immediately and informed him about the voice coming out of machine and he gave a lame answer by saying “It is normal sound”. Then I again called Whirlpool and requested senior engineer visit to resolve the issue. Senior engineer visited and told us that one of motor screw wasn’t tighten properly. It opened while running the machine which completely damaged the motor.After that I am continuously calling to service centre to get the updates on my machine motor replacement. Finally they mentioned that they dont have motor part available with them due to company ceased this model productivity. When I raised this issue with the Whirlpool team they mentioned that they can only pay 40% of the machine value, because I had AMC. However, I did mention that this damage is caused by the negligence of their service engineer, but they didn’t discuss anything about it.When I continuously chased them they dropped me an email to refund only the 40% of the machine value. I feel cheated and harassed!! When I bought the machine they gave us 10 years warranty now they mention that motor is not available as it’s a 5 years old model. My grievance is that since I had already taken the AMC and the damage was also caused by their engineer, why I have to bear the loss. I have already struggled a lot with this machine since last 5 years from the day I bought this machine and now I am losing my hard earned money. Kindly do the needful. Cabrio Washer mod# wtw6700yw1 - Washer and Dryer purchased 2011. Now washer will not complete entire wash cycle. Shut off after 3 mins lets all the water out. Now affects all levels of wash. Contact Whirlpool customer service. Sent repairman. Claims sensor board needs to be replaced. Costs $285.00 + $55.00 for labor + $79.00 service call total cost $419.00. Needless to say I declined the repair and now after reading all other complaints glad I did. This sounds like a money pit, just keep repairing and never being fix. Repairman suggested Speed Queen washer so now shopping around for new unit. Dryer so far still working.

Bought Whirlpool French door refrigerator. Unit was defective when delivered and I told them so. That was on 06/14/2013. Unit got progressively worse and finally has quit completely. At Whirlpools suggestion we bought a Whirlpool Repair Plan Plus One (another scam) for $300. Repairman came out and told us the refrigerator couldnt be fixed. Now Whirlpool suggests their only option is for us to buy a discounted model. This refrigerator went from bad to not working at all in less than a year and a half. Anyone that buys a Whirlpool appliance with knowledge of how they treat customers and back their products has to be a little crazy.

My family has been without hot water for two weeks. We have the same water heater, we have been to Lowes where we were told the recalled parts were no longer available, unless we wanted to drive 3 1/2 hours to Arkansas to get it. Whirlpool wants to give me a free part for $36.00 worth of shipping and handling! All the local suppliers say I have to go through Lowes, or the manufacturer. I dont want to give whirlpool another dime. This has been a fiasco. How much more can a company disrespect their customer, than to make us pay for a faulty product replacement? It is unacceptable. This is ridiculous. It is December, and I have a family of 7, including a child in a wheelchair.

I just want to say that this washer is indeed a colossal waste of money. I bought an HE machine thinking Id be environmentally responsible, but the amount of times I have to re-rinse clothes negates that. Whats worse is that clothes come out dirtier than when they go in. Thats right--just put a brand new set of sheets in the washer and when they came out, there were dissolved detergent marks and gray, linty patches all over them (this using warm water and a soft gel detergent)--resembling dirt you might get from hanging clothes on a mildew clothes line. I cant tell you how many times I need to re-run the drain and spin cycle. This wastes time, water and quality of life. My letter specifically said I did not expect customer resolution but wanted to express what a rotten product they produced and marketed. They called back leaving a message to the effect: We apologize want to help you but need to speak in person. Please call [toll free number] and have your make and serial numbers available. I called back, and after waiting on hold for 10 mins., the rep took my model and serial numbers, said, Oh I see your letter. Please give me a moment to review it. Then I was told there was nothing she could do. I do apologize for your frustration. I couldnt BELIEVE they would bother contacting me only to make me go through that charade-- They are PATHETIC! I say boycott the company! Well, I certainly will.

When we bought our side by side fridge (model GD5RVAXVB02), the manual said to clean the condenser coils if you have excess dust and/or pet hair. We have both. We tried with the vacuum and with a brush but it is impossible to get to the coils because they run side to side instead of front to back. You can only get to the first coil in front. The rest cant be accessed from the front, sides or back. I called to find out how Whirlpool recommended they be cleaned and they could only recommend a vacuum attachment tool (8171579A) to clean the floor below the coils or a coil brush (4210463RW) that cant reach the coils! This design is meant to fail prematurely. They could have easily installed the coils running front to back so they could all be easily cleaned.

Ive had the stove a long time with no issues. The self clean doesnt really clean of course. In my experience, I dont think many do clean well. Maybe there are newer ones that do work better. I would probably buy Whirlpool again.

After much frustration and disappointment, as well as 2 huge repair bills with my front loading washing machine I sent it off to the scrap yard, still looking brand new, and went back to a top loading machine. I purchased a Whirlpool top loading, high efficiency, low water machine. I have had it for almost 2 years now and am extremely happy with it. I would highly recommend it. Fairly quiet and easy to use and takes very little detergent. It does not have an agitator so it is gentle on clothes. I know some users have complained about tangled clothes but, in my opinion, if it is loaded correctly this should not be a problem.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer - I have had my washer for about 4 years, paid $1,000.00 for the unit and now I am being told that the control board needs to be replaced and it will cost me anywhere between $300-$600 to fix it. My point is, a washer should last longer than 4 years especially if you paid good money for what I thought was a reputable brand.

Purchased Feb 2013 - worked okay until one month ago. Now stalls in the drain and spin cycle. The rotation of the drum sounds awful, makes a loud grinding noise. I tried doing the diagnostic reset of holding the Temp button in for 3 sec, release, 3 sec more but that didnt work. Also, I have noticed clothes are DRY after the Wash cycle! Managed to interrupt the wash and unlock the lid and was very disappointed. This is not a good quality piece of equipment. This seems to be a very common problem. How unfortunate.

My Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator is just 4 years old. When they delivered it, they noticed damage on the bottom which required them to bring me a new refrigerator. The new one had issues with the ice maker that required multiple service calls to fix. The refrigerator door always seemed a bit misaligned as it was a bit lower than the freezer door, but it closed, so I never complained. I was just tired of all the issues! During the last six months, the door started to remain ajar instead of closing completely so that we had to always be sure to apply sufficient pressure to close it tightly. I considered calling in a repair, but it was still closing so I thought I might be overly critical. As it got worse, I realized the door was defective, but one day, it just fell off completely without warning as though the hinges were made of butter!After multiple service calls, a tech reattached the door, but I could see that it would not hold and sure enough, it is starting to remain ajar again. I have contacted the warranty company who is now saying the service tech claimed we were hanging on the door. This repair company the warranty company uses has an F rating with the BBB. Now, Im being told it may take a couple weeks to get another repair company to give them an opinion, but the issue is clear, the door was defective and it looks like they found a way to avoid having to make good on the warranty!

You have to take into account that this microwave doesn’t heat up as others I’ve had so even if the instructions call for something to be cooked for 5 minutes, you have to add at least 2 minutes more. If not it would be undercooked.

We purchased a brand new Whirlpool fridge & electric range. Tried the oven on 3/22/14. Turned it on at 350 for 30 minutes. Waited for the new smell to go away. Then turned the temp up to 375. My husband put a frozen lasagna dinner in. 25 minutes later the inside oven door window exploded into the oven and the dinner. Found out the outside window usually explodes. We were lucky. The dealer we bought it from let us exchange it right away. Filed a report with the CSPC and am trying to find out how to file a complaint with Whirlpool.

These machines are designed to clean your clothes by rubbing them together which they attempt to do in a minute amount of water. They destroy the fabric, pull the seam out of shape, wrinkle them beyond the point of wearable, do not get them clean and do not get all the detergent out. I have had clothes come out partially dry. They also do not dilute the fabric softener, leaving unremovable stains on your clothes. In addition, they take forever to do a load of clothes even without the extra rinse you need if you want any hope of getting the clothes rinsed. The dryer is the slowest dryer I have ever had. The steam refresh that is supposed to get the hideous wrinkles out of your clothes does not put steam into the dryer. Instead, it sets the dryer to the highest heat so that those clothes you did not want on high heat are now getting it; then it shoots bursts, yes large bursts, of water on them. Your clothes come out a combination of still wrinkles and wet. If you hear of a class action suit, please contact me. These machines should be recalled.

My double oven is less than 2 years old. I just used the self-cleaning feature on the bottom oven and now it wont work at all. I understand that this is a common problem with Whirlpool ovens and I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again. What a piece of junk! I have used self-cleaning on my ovens ever since they were invented and have never had a problem before.

I have no problem with Conns. My complaint is with Whirlpool for making such a terrible machine with the Cabrio Washer. Its a piece of junk.Fortunately, I bought the extended warranty – which was used many times to replace computer modules and pumps. Now that the warranty is out, once again the machine is doing the same thing. Bad codes, not filling, etc... Some cycles you cant use it at all. The cleaning cycle is never ended (literally). I am debating on having it fixed or just getting another machine.

My son purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine about two years ago and now it doesnt work. It was an almost $1,000 machine. You would expect a higher quality product. I always bought Whirlpool products because they were so dependable so I recommended my son to go with Whirlpool. Big mistake, the panel lights up but when you press the power button, nothing happens. I do not recommend this machine to anyone. Im wondering if anyone else that has purchased this has had the same trouble.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer model # WTW6400SW3 in 2009. There are only 2 of us so the machine is not overworked. You would think it is 20 years old. When it spins, the noise is unbelievable. The bleach dispenser always has liquid in it and the fabric softener gums up like crazy. We have stumbled upon other complaints and now we are really worried. I should have followed my past experience and bought a GE! This is all we need. In todays economy who has cash laying around to throw away like this?

I am so bummed that this fridge died. It was perfect in size and function and appearance. I didnt use the ice maker. Within the first year, the temps were erratic, freezing in the fridge area at the rec. setting and too warm when I lowered it. Finally the compressor gave in at 19 months. Of course, out of warranty. HOWEVER, my credit card, VISA, added a year of warranty and is paying the full amt for replacement. Now I have no idea what to get. Every brand, American or Japanese is not made to last. I regret getting rid of my old dependable avocado fridge, thats how hard it is to feel confident to make a good next purchase. Formerly reliable names are only that, OLD NAMES WITH SHINY LOOKS AND JUNK INSIDE.

Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washer Model WTW8800YC1 - I bought the Cabrio washer and dryer pair about 2 years ago at Lowes. About 5 weeks ago the lid fell apart. The hinge area came loose so now there are three pieces to line up (glass lid, metal arm, plastic frame), the fourth piece fell off completely. If you are successful at lining them up you can push the lid down and set a weight on it in order to wash. My first repairman said it was common issue. He expedited a lid. Three weeks later I called to find out when it may be repaired. He said he hadnt gotten the part from Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool... nice lady told me the part was on back order but should ship the first of the week. So on week 4 after not hearing anything I called a new appliance repair person. It is going to cost about $280 dollars to repair. This is one third the cost of a new washer??? I fight with this machine every day to get it to wash.

This refrigerator (French Door Refrigerator Model: WRF757SDEM) has been problematic since day one. The ice dispenser sends crushed ice all over the kitchen floor. The temperature in the upper 3/4 of the storage area and on the door is 57 degrees (it should be between 36 and 40 degrees). The item was purchased at Best Buy on October, 2016. It is still under warranty. I have had several visits by repair people and so far no fix. My friends call it a crockerator, since you can freeze food in the freezer and slowly cook food in the refrigerator section. I tried twice to get Whirlpool to pick up this thing, but so far no go. DO NOT EVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR! They used to make good products, but no longer do.

Whirlpool is not what it was before. I got this set with new house... They are very poor construction. They are not even close what I have before the LG. After 6 months I begin to have problems with the dryer... Technician come two time to fix the problems. Quality of washing is OK though... That going to be the last time I got Whirlpool products. We purchased the Whirlpool model# BFG1J4040T3NOV 40 gallon natural gas hot water tank in the spring of 2010. The pilot light went out this weekend, 2011. And it will re-light but does not stay lit. This was bought at Lowes, rated as a 9-year warranty on the tank and parts. This is premature failure of a product that is listed as 9 years. Due to all the other similar complaints of this Whirlpool hot water tank, I would like my money back plus installation. I do not want the Whirlpool replacement as obviously it does not work. I will use a different brand and vet it much better in the future. We almost purchased at Home Depot but decided it would be a better bet to go with the Whirlpool reputation and name and Lowes than with the only Home Depot option, which is the self branded water heaters. It was a big mistake!

We bought our dishwasher April 2018. This morning I noticed the paint had bubbled above the heat vent (area 3x 1/2). Upon closer inspection, the the paint was also peeling. We called the company to see if they would replace the skin but the agent said the only thing they could do was send us touch-up paint. The door is considered cosmetic & only covered for 30 days. If we wanted to replace the door panel, we were welcome to buy one from them. However as this seems to be a manufacturing defect, we would be replacing the door every 16 months. When we realized whirlpool wouldnt back their product, my husband looked a little closer to see what needed to be done & found that it had rusted under the paint & painting on top of rust will adhere properly.

Had unit about 4 yrs. No problem with unit, work great. Easy to clean, stand up to every day use, heat dishes and popcorn three level no issues, heat dishes, defrost items, cook food at several levels.

I made the mistake of buying a whirlpool product and was wondering if there is a support group for angry unsatisfied customers? I have owned a duet washer and after 2.5 years is giving F1E2 error and is junk.

The Whirlpool Cabrio washer was extremely expensive to purchase but is rusting out and the circuit board is going out. We have had cheap washers last longer than this one and just to purchase the circuit board will be more expensive than another cheap washer. These boards go out right after the warranty goes out and I think that they are timed to go out. (The exact same thing happened with our dishwasher and after the board was replaced, it has lasted many years). Whirlpool should replace these for free since they do not last that long and are very expensive.

Our daughter has a Whirlpool Duet front loader washer & dryer combination which is less than 3 years old. The washer shows fault code 71 and will not run or release the door lock. The first repairman said the interface board and/or a computer will need to be replaced. Cost is $600 to $1,000. I called Whirlpool. They recommended their trained tech be called out. He looked at the broken machine and determined the interface board was bad, and he put a temporary repair on the washer and said Its okay to use for now. He will return in 2 weeks with the replacement part. We tried the machine with a load of clothes. The machine filled up with water then quit, and the door was locked. We called to get a tech to open the door so we could retrieve our clothes. No one is available for 1 1/2 week. I called Whirlpool and was told a claim form would be mailed to me so we could be compensated for the damaged clothes. The letter arrived. I was appalled when I read it. First, it came from their Legal dept. The intent was to scare us into getting a lawyer or just use our homeowners insurance for the damaged clothes claim. I called Whirlpool back several times and was told too bad, so sad. Whirlpool might make a good machine; they cant prove it by me but their support rates a big zero.

It works extremely well. My wife and I have had it for several several years and no problems with it and it cleans the dishes very well. We really like the silverware holder. The right size for a family. Recommend it to anyone.

This same problem occurred about a month later so I called Whirlpool. They sent out an entire new thermostat assembly which took me about an hour to install. The hot water heater has worked correctly ever since.

We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer a few months ago. When we wash the white cloths using the (white) setting and add bleach and the HE detergent, the washer does not clean the white cloths very good at all. Sometimes the white cloths come out looking worse than they did before they were put in the washer. We called the people at Whirlpool and they said there is nothing they can do as long as all the functions on the washer work the way they’re suppose to. I thought the function of the washer is to clean the clothes but, they say no, as long as everything on the washer is working. That is what their warranty covers.

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio top loader set in 2006. Honeymoon was over after the first year and I had to change the dryer element then the washer with the F51 code six months later. Last year, I had to replace the heating element again! For the last six months, I have been dealing with the dreaded UL on the washer. I cant afford to pay a technician $100 to come out and tell me whats wrong let alone what they will charge to repair a problem that, from the looks of this message board, will never be fixed. I have no choice but to get it fixed in order to sell the ** machine. I paid $1400 for this brand new set and have already invested $500 in repairs. How is this possible? I had a 20-year-old machine prior to this and never had an issue. There are lemon laws for cars, why arent there any for appliances over a certain amount? How in this day and age can a company be allowed to sell such garbage? I will never, ever buy another Whirlpool appliance as long as I live. Any other brand can have my money any day.

lD and UL codes are displaying. The UL code displays when the load is even and also displays UL load when I take all clothes out of washer. How could the load be uneven if there are no clothes in? I have had four different issues with this washer. I have started use on this washer in Aug. 2008 and there have been already three major repairs. I am a very dissatisfied customer. I dont know if I should spend more money on washer repairs or just buy a new washer. Please help.

We bought a duet set front loader washer and dryer on 3/14/2010 and our washer already needs new bearing and costs about as much as a new washer. I think that is pretty bad when you can’t get two years out of a product and then can’t get anyone to help unless you want to pay out. I will not buy another Whirlpool product! Done!

First my pump went out on a 4 month old washer. Had to wait several days for them to fix it. My washer worked for two weeks and same problem. Its been over a week and the service man cancels then shows up and tells me pumps out and can get one for several weeks. I cant stand them still not fixed.

I bought a Whirlpool larder fridge 18 months ago. It suddenly stopped working so we got a service engineer up who said there was no gas. He said it would cost 50.00, but with no guarantee it would work afterwards.

About three months ago the freezer iced up. Tech showed up stating that the motherboard went out, needs to be replaced, had to wait 6 days for part to show. Was replaced. Two weeks later freezer iced up and refrigerator got hot, lost a lot of food. Again motherboard went out again, had to wait another six days. Part came in Tech replaced the motherboard and installed a heater defroster. Worked for 2 weeks and now the freezer is icing up again. What a pain in the ass.

The Whirlpool duet front loading washing machine came with our new house five years ago. That machine has destroyed multiple clothing items including very expensive sweaters and undergarments. It has destroyed biking shorts and just about anything of value. Even destroyed the bags fur delicate clothing. I have to get a repair guy out every year to replace the bellow too! It is terrible!!!

Weve been in this house for almost 4 years so the dishwasher (Whirlpool WDT790SAYM) is no older than that, maybe even 2.5 since I think I got it home in my CX-5 which is 2.5 years old. Anyway, never really had a problem with it and we run ours maybe once a day or twice in a row every 3 days. Last night I remember running a load and this morning noticed the dishes were dirty but the inside of the tub looked clean. So I plop another pod in and tried to run it again and sat there and watched it. It filled up with water but then nothing. After 20 minutes I opened the door and steam came out so the heater element was working and there was water at the bottom. I tried various things but nothing. Canceling still works.So either I try to get this fixed, or buy a new one. This wasnt a cheap dishwasher either. My wife balked when I 1st bought it considering she thinks a $300 model is better than most of these $500+ models. Right now I cant argue with her since we just replaced an expensive Samsung washing machine that lasted maybe 5 years. Theres another review of this model on these forums and the person tried to get it repaired many times and it appears maybe the same thing is happening to us. I wont go down that road considering repairs like that exceed the cost of a new dishwasher.

This Whirlpool top load washer has been an awesome product. I have had it for 9 years and havent had a bit of trouble. Its very quiet and very reliable. The only maintenance is running a cleaning tablet on the cleaning setting once per month, and it tells you when its due... No musty smell problems that I hear from people with front loaders. Its a great product.

I bought a portable dishwasher on 6/29/15. It didnt clean well, didnt drain properly. (I followed guidelines from the USER INFORMATION and used rinse). I called a plumber to clean out my pipes. My dishes were still dirty. I purchased an entire soft water system from Culligan. My dishes were still dirty. I called Whirlpool and Pacific Sales where I bought the machine, and got no assistance. On 10/2014 I spent $263.50 to repair and replace parts so the machine would drain. Sometime in January of 2015 it stopped draining again. I just got off the phone with Whirlpool who will not take any responsibility for this lemon. You offered me a policy to purchase for over $200!!! You want me to spend MORE money on a machine that never worked right???? How is that help? How is that standing behind your product? Then there was some lame offer to pay for parts, ONLY if I used your extremely expensive repair people and pay for labor, and $139 just to show up at my door. I asked who I can write to or talk to about this and was told by Sherri that there was no one to talk to but her. Really? Give me a reason to ever consider a Whirlpool product and to not slam Whirlpool whenever someones considering it.

My electric stove is only four years old. In December, 2021, the control panel broke. Digital read out - numbers can’t be read. Service said it is control panel - can’t be found anywhere. Oven has caught on fire twice. House full of smoke. Whirlpool stated my first mistake was not calling them first. I dont have warranty and couldn’t afford a service call so I have DTE protection plan. They sent about appliance repair at their cost. Man said it is control panel and NONE can be found. Whirlpool can’t send THEIR serviceman for another two weeks. I was told to keep circuit breaker on stove pulled. I am 76 and my husband is 84. We can’t go out to eat every night for two reasons: we are on a fixed income - finances will not allow. Plus we both have health issue so I have to cook/bake a certain way. It is going on three months. We can’t afford a new stove every four years. I want Whirlpool to work out some compensation for my stress, aggravation, loss of bakeware that burned in the oven. Took us two days to clean the oven mess, including the glass door - don’t know how it didn’t explode. We had to run downstairs- at 84, moving fast is not that easy, to pull circuit breaker. I could not make two birthday cakes that I had committed to. Can’t bake or make casseroles. We need help of some kind.

To be fair to Whirlpool, I have contacted them but have not given them time to respond. I feel so strongly about this issue that I want to get the message about this company product out. About 2 years ago, we purchased a Whirlpool fridge, stove, and dishwasher. I have had so many problems with the stove (WFG540H0AS0) that it has pissed me off, actually. First, the knobs that control the stove top melted. MELTED! We had to replace them to the tune of $30.00 each and there are 5. Why would anyone use knobs that cannot withstand heat on a stove?! News flash, I cook on my stove. Therefore, there will be heat used. Second, the oven keeps shutting off in the middle of cooking my holiday meal. Of course, this made my turkey take much longer than usual. Today, it shut off in the middle of cupcakes. Third, the oven does ignite without turning it on and off multiple times. So we called the repair person who told us to replace the ignition switch for it. This helped for about one month. Then the problem started again. I just emailed Whirlpool and I will call them next business day. I am so disappointed with Whirlpool. I thought they had a good reputation for quality products.

Was very excited to have purchased Whirlpool stove with convection oven. The paperwork from Home Depot showed SELF CLEANING. Due to not feeling well from cancer I didnt realize it was AQUALIFT! A few years passed but I never used oven. Pandemic changed that. When I tried Aqualift. Did it 3 times in a row but nothing was clean. Called Whirlpool & they offered to send me a paste I could rub in & rinse off. THATS NOT SELF CLEANING. ITS MYSELF CLEANING plus cancer in abdomen so difficult for me to do. Class action suit is being filed again but not sure if it will be for 1 state. Many complaints on Whirlpool & other companies using aqualift.

I chose Whirlpool first then my machine became of I wanted a front loading machine with a larger tub. I wanted to be able to wash anything without hesitation. I truly love my wash and dryer. This set is the first set I have ever bought brand new.

I have the same problems that all the consumers are complaining about. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. I have it for 2 years to date, and it doesnt keep my food cold. I loved the roomy space it had; thats what sold me the refrigerator. If I would know what I know now, I wouldnt have bought it. I will never blame the business that I bought it from; I will blame Whirlpool. Hearing all what the consumers did to try to fix the problem, it sounds like a waste of time and money. Im sorry to hear what you went through, but also I want to thank you for your complaints so I dont have to deal with it. Whirlpool sounds like a piece of junk. I’m going back to a GE.

We purchased our Whirlpool Front Loading HE Washing Machine a year and ten months ago from Future Shop, and now it has failed. After paying about $100 for a service call, we were told we need to order a motor control board that will cost an additional $397 plus tax, plus installation. Because it is off warranty, this means my $1030 washing machine that is less than two years old will cost me about $680 to repair! My parents old top loading washing machine still works after 30 years. And now I notice that so many other people have had the exact same problem. Why hasnt Whirlpool fixed this issue? This is criminal! What on earth is going on here? I was under the impression that Whirlpool was a top-notch brand.

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 2 years ago and they are an absolute piece of junk!!! There is only 2 people in our family so its not like we are washing big loads. It doesnt get my clothes clean and the clothes stink. I have followed the directions on cleaning the washer and it does not good. Now my clothes are soaking wet at the end of the cycle so I have to put it on drain and spin just to get most (not all) the water out of them. And when I take my clothes out, they are just as dirty as when I put them in. Called a technician and its going to cost over $400.00 to fix. This is nothing short of robbery!!!! This machine is a piece of junk. I read over 500 reviews on this washer and they all had problems that cost as almost as much as the washer cost to repair. There really needs to be a recall or a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool.

Our over the range Whirlpool microwave door casing is disintegrating where the door handle screws to the door. Big chunk fell off today.

I called to find out if they could assist me with my dishwasher. It is 1 year and 3 weeks old. The start button will not switch on the machine. The only way they would assist me is if I would pay the full cost of repair because it is 3 weeks out of warranty! There are no other suggestions. I would have met them half way with paying half the bill but I got nothing but Im sorry and we cant help. They dont stand behind their product.

We purchased a Cabrio model WTW6600SB2 washer, it has lasted 4 years, then when the pump went out, we paid $200. To fix it then on the 2nd load, it went out, now the tech man says the motor is cracked and Im not sure if the motor is replaced, it will even work. I looked at the motor and it is made of plastic! Can you believe this? Plastic! I didnt believe it until I saw it with my own eyes. I will never purchase a Whirlpool appliance again nor will any of my relatives or friends if they ever ask my opinion.

Ive had my Whirlpool Refrigerator for 2 years. Within that 2 year period, all 3 of the drawers within the refrigerator have broken and now there is a crack in the freezer on the bottom starting in the front and going straight back on the bottom to the back and up the back. After pleading my case for a new fridge to their Customer Satisfaction Department and everyones supervisor therein, theyve offered to pay for the epoxy repair. Im very dissatisfied with this! I dont think that a $1300 fridge should be held together by glue after only 2 years. Ive been waiting for one of the drawers to be replaced for over 2 months. They claim that the crisper pan is out-of-stock and they have no information if it is in production. Im to call back in 2 weeks to find out the status of that part. I would like to add that my husband and I work 6 days a week and our adult children are rarely here, so this refrigerator is very lightly used. We dont have a household of 6 or 7 people constantly home, opening the doors and sliding out the drawers. The fridge that I had previously was a GE and it lasted 30 years. I guess the next one will probably be a GE. I just wanted something different. Well I got it. Its something broken.

Bought at Lowes. Washer was horribly out of balance on first use. Called warranty # to get service. Was made appointment by Whirlpool for next day. Too good to be true I thought and I was right. A week later, repair company called to make their own appt, chuckled and said Whirlpool does NOT make appointments for them. They came out to see washer and at the time of appointment, the guy said sometimes they come from the factory not hooked up right inside and after he went back to a lady in the office, Jonnys Appl Repair, Bozeman, MT said they would not fix it because washer was not sitting on a concrete floor. They are idiots. Finally, washer completely broke 7 months later. There was no service that would honor ANY appointment Whirlpool made. Went through 6 repair companies trying to get a close appointment date. Hopefully next week will be the magic repair. GO WITH SEARS. Repair is directly through them and they show up when they say they will. Ive never had a new product not working right when purchased at Sears.

I bought a Cabrio from Costo less than 2 years ago. Dryer so far so good (big barrel with hair dryer so what could go wrong?). Washing machine is HORRIBLE. Lid latch broke (couple hundred to repair). Now out of the blue I get an F2 error & machine is completely inoperable. I am only user & very careful with it. There should be a recall on this expensive junk. NEVER buy Cabrio or maybe any Whirlpool appliances again. Ive never written a bad review btw.

Whirlpool Cabrio wtw6400 - Never, never, never will I purchase a Whirlpool product again! I spent nearly $1,500 on this washer and dryer. The washer ties everything into knots and has had several problems, most recently the bearings going out! I just called customer service who said they would send a repair man, approx. cost $370. What a rip off! I strongly encourage everyone in this same boat to call their customer service complaint line and/or consumer reports. I bought from HH Gregg and will never shop there again either.
