Plastic comes off drawer when you pull it out! Trim around glass cracked. Drawers cracked. My drawer literally has a hole in it! Warranty doesnt cover that! When checking reviews on amazon people all had same complaint and when they reorder product it does the same thing. This fridge was purchased less than a year ago! I purchase it from Discount Direct, a Costco outlet store!

I purchased the 19 cu. ft. Whirlpool Estar refrigerator WRT 3595FYW on 4/28/12. Freezer began showing frost immediately. Repairman from Marcellas Appliance where purchased - (518) 381-1957, came to check it, put a sealer around the door openings of refrigerator and freezer. Frost continued. I called Whirlpool. They sent another repairman from EB Russell in Schenectady, NY, door needs replacing. Door was ordered and when received by them, the door was replaced on my refrigerator.In August 2012, frost is in freezer, on its roof, on the door daily. I called Whirlpool. I told them I wanted to remove it from my home. Whirlpools reply was, you have a repair warranty, not a replacement warranty. I was not advised of this when I purchased. Otherwise, I would have gone to Sears, Lowes, etc. On 8/16/12, another repairman from The Appliance Man, Albany will be here Monday. Its dishonest sale, replacement was advised possible by Marcella, that it was just a matter of course to get an okay from Whirlpool. This is not so. There is no replacement or return policy. Please help. Thank you.

While my oven was running the 3 hour self clean cycle, the glass on the inside of the door cracked. It was in the middle of the cycle so I tried to call whirlpool to see if I should hit cancel or if it would cool too quickly and make it worse or what to do. First person was young and stumbled with English in the service department. He couldnt answer my question, just schedule for me to pay for service to come out. After I got upset and said there must be someone to talk to, he sent me to parts who said she can only order me parts. All I wanted to know was was if flames were going to shoot from the oven or what! I told her that I needed to talk to someone who knew something about ovens and she asked if I was calling her stupid and hung up on me!

We hate the matching Cabrio washer dryer bought in 2011: Dryer lower blower went out after 18 months in service. The day it went out whirlpool sent me the extended warranty offer. Warranty had expired 6 months prior. I renewed for 12 months and promptly called for a repair. Cost was approximately $450.00, all covered under the newly paid for warranty. I dodged a bullet there. Washer has the splintering fiberglass around the top. Lower bearing is out and sounds like a freight train coming out of the laundry room. Not going to have it repaired. Looking for new units not manufactured by whirlpool. Shameful ROI. No more whirlpool products in our house.

Whirlpool Platinum Cabrio Washer wtw8240 - Ive owned this washer for two years. Worst two years of my life. Its leaked since day one. They have attempted to repair the leaking on 5 different repair visits (told me the nozzle that puts the water in the tub doesnt stop in time and it overflows on my floor). Finally it seemed to be somewhat fixed and then it started to sound like a freight train coming through my house. They determined the bearings were worn on my tub and had to replace the whole tub unit. Seven visits. I got one month out of it and it’s leaking again. I am now out of the extended warranty I purchased. This is ridiculous. Isnt there a lemon law on appliances? I know if a dealer attempts 4 or more repairs on your car for the same problem unsuccessfully, it qualifies for the lemon law. $800 for a washing machine that dumps water all over my floor and no one can seem to fix it. Well Im done, Whirlpool. Next time I will purchase a plain washer with no bells or whistles and it wont be made by Whirlpool!

I bought a Whirlpool larder fridge 18 months ago. It suddenly stopped working so we got a service engineer up who said there was no gas. He said it would cost 50.00, but with no guarantee it would work afterwards.

I bought the Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher on November of 2014 from Home Depot. The first thing that happened was that it started to leak. I called Whirlpool and someone came out to look at it. It took about a week for them to come. They said it was installed incorrectly and they do not handle installation issues. They left. I took the dishwasher out and reinstalled according to the guide. It still leaked. The dishwasher had to be perfectly level before the leaking stopped.The next issue was that the dishes were not getting clean my dishes. The top rack was the worse. I called Whirlpool again. They came out, took the dishwasher apart and said the part called the diffuser had become dislocated. He placed it back into its proper position and left. This was April of 2015. The dishwasher did an ok job. Some dishes still came out with food on it. By the end of 2015, close to the warranty expiring, the top rack was no longer being washed. I took the dishwasher apart from the inside and found the diffuser was not in the right position again. So every time I want to run the dishwasher I need to take the spray arms out and the racks until I have access to the bottom of the dishwasher to reset the diffuser. Now the warranty was expired, Whirlpool wanted about $150 just to come look at the dishwasher. Sears wanted $59. So I called Sears. Their tech said the dishwasher has a broken motor. For Sears to fix it would be around $400. I called Whirlpool. I felt that the motor was already broken within the warranty period and that the problem finally got diagnosed now. Whirlpool felt this wasnt the case. Their price to fix was also close to $400. Now I need to buy a new dishwasher and throw away a one year old dishwasher. Only this time I will buy the extended warranty. Overall, poor product, poor customer service, and poor warranty coverage.

KitchenAid double oven glass exploded during the self-clean cycle. The oven was purchased on 9-20-11 and the glass exploded on 11-30-11 during the first-use of the self-cleaning cycle. The cavity was damaged with dents and shards of glass from the explosion. Unfortunately, the warranty for KitchenAid is replacement of parts and repair only. Nicole, supervisor at Whirlpool, offered to extend the warranty 6 months. Then I was somehow disconnected from the call.

I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator last Summer and so far I’ve had no issues, no probs! I love the energy efficient refrigerator along with its easy settings and options to use a ice maker. Wouldn’t trade my Whirlpool for any other brand!

Horrible customer service. No help in trouble shooting your the appliance. Whirlpool only wanted to send a service technician. Several things have gone wrong with this dishwasher that came brand new, in a brand new house. After the year warranty is up, forget about any help from whirlpool. I would hope you would not have to purchase extended warranties on any new appliance but that doesn’t seem to be the case. My dishwasher was only three years old and on its way to dishwasher heaven. I was told by a repairman that whirlpool had a problem with their motors. Whirlpool would not confirm or deny this. I felt like I was really taken.

8 cu. ft. Cabrio® High-Efficiency Top Load Washer with Steam - I bought a new washer. It did a poor job rinsing and spinning dry. Whirlpool customer threatened me that a service charge may be charge if the repairman came out and found nothing wrong. After calling three times I ordered a repairman out. The repairman explained that only way to prevent soap residue on your clean clothes is to use the bulky and deep water options. Also dont use high spin or when it spins your clothes dry, it leaves them in a tangled mess that requires ironing to remove the wrinkles. This washer is not ready for the market and must be removed until they can perfect it. It cost me $200 to return and exchange this model for the Front Load Duet, which works excellent. Whirlpool should be ashamed to have ever put this machine on the market.

We purchased the Top Loader Cabrio in 2006 for $1100. About 1 yr. later it just stopped, but was covered under a recall. A year later it stopped working again and cost $400 plus we bought a 3 yr. service contract for $350. A few months after the service contract ended, the spin cycle got very loud and it started leaking grease and water. It now need a ball bearing and $600 of work. So now we spent almost $2000 for this washer in 8 yrs. Our Maytag was $400 and lasted 15 yrs and we gave it to someone else who is still using it and we never had it repaired. It sounds like Cabrio customers have been complaining about the same issues for several years but they keep recurring and Whirlpool is doing nothing to correct them. We are not putting more money into it after reading all the complaints. We are buying another washer and another reliable brand. I would have been a customer for life because I did like the way it worked and cleaned, although I hear so many people had problems with that so I am not waiting for that to fail too. And I recommended the Cabrio to several people who bought them and now I hear they are starting to have problems. You should stand behind your product and correct these problems and recall or fix them at a reasonable cost.

Worst appliance of any kind that I have ever used. Has only on/off button, in effect. Wastes water. There is no option to change anything once cycle has begun. No soaking. Occasionally, the machine simply decides to stop and drain itself so that you can start all over again!! No idea how long cycle is. Nearly done? No idea. No matter what temp or how much detergent or how much water, the clothes are not clean. The lid locks and so there is no way to know whats going on. I suspect there is very little water during rinse cycle. All of the whirlpool appliances are similarly horrible. Washer is the WORST. Shame on you Made in America.

Weve owned this refrigerator for about 6 weeks now. It is a 23 cu. ft. model with a bottom freezer. It is working great, and we have no problems with temperature control in either the refrigerator or freezer sections.

We bought a Cabrio washing machine two years ago. I have had to have a repairman out twice for it shooting water out of the top (from a top-loading machine). They repaired that and its better. But this goes off balance ALL the time. I cant even wash a load of towels without it going off balance. We bought this one as it was supposed to handle large blankets and even my lightweight king size comforters. Yeah. Did once or twice, then started the off-balance stuff. It grows MOLD in the bleach, softener, and detergent dispensers.I wrote to the company and included pictures. They were really rude about it. I finally found how to remove the dispensers to clean them, but it is very difficult. I HATE this machine and will never buy a Whirlpool again. (Our refrigerator, which was in our house when we bought it, is also a Whirlpool. It is poorly designed and collect dust in the coils UNDER the thing and you cannot reach them to clean it. Coils are behind other pieces that block being able to clean them.) Whirlpool is a horrible company and doesnt stand behind their products, in my experience.

We had purchased a Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer and Dryer in 2007. Since that time we have had several repairs on the dryer, resulting in us having to purchase an entire new unit in 2011 (4 years old), along with mold that has accumulated in the washing machine on the tub and rubber seal that cannot be removed after several attempts utilizing several products that were recommended. The end result is our laundry that has been washed - comes out with a musty odor. Not happy at all with the top of the line, best possible machine to produce clean laundry as was sold to us! This has been a nightmare, and a totally dysfunctional appliance that should have lasted longer than 5 years!

Whirlpool Microwave model #GMH5205XVS0 - Same story as many of these other reviews. Similar reviews on Amazon as well. We bought a new house early in 2011 with all Whirlpool appliances. We have gone through 3 magnetrons in 2 yrs. Now Whirlpool wont do anything for us. We will have to buy a new microwave. It just stopped heating all 3 times and the magnetron was replaced. Now it has happened again. Ridiculous. I will never buy a Whirlpool appliance again. This model # should be recalled. Its a lemon and sounds like it could be a danger as well.

So I have had the washer for a few years - bought it new or at least I thought. First came a clunking noise - fixed that. Next came the F1 code and installed a new pump $90 plus dollars. After installation, Im still getting F1 code and am now being told it is the ERC control board or water inlet valve either way a guessing game which in the end will have cost me over $400 to fix myself. I wish companies like this would stand behind their merchandise.

Thrilled with my first experience (9 years now) with my Whirlpool glass-top range/oven. Truly LOVE the modern look of glass cooking surface which cleans up like a dream! NO harsh abrasives needed, always WIPES shiny and beautiful. All-electric...no stinky gas fumes. Wonderful features... Computer controls, SELF-CLEANING OVEN. Now, if only it would do the prep-work.

Refrigerator caught fire - I own a 2003 Whirlpool Gold side-by-side refrigerator that I bought new from Lowes in 2003. On Friday, July 13, 2012, I woke up to the smell of burning wires. I called 911 and they sent out a fire engine. While waiting for the firemen to arrive, my neighbor came to help me determine where the smell was coming from. Within seconds, we heard loud clicks and a huge cloud of gray smoke came out from behind the refrigerator. The firemen arrived, entered the house, unplugged the refrigerator and told me that the smoke and smell was coming from behind the fridge.

Their water heater is the worst ever! I will never buy another Whirlpool product. We purchased our water heater on January 17, 2010. We had to have the entire electronic system replaced in August 2011, including the lower element, control unit, thermisol, and electronic. Now, just a few short months later, the system is not working again, plus, the containment unit failed, flooding our basement. When we called Whirlpool, we were treated callously and rudely. Now, we have to pay to have the old unit removed, and a new one installed (they told us to throw it in our trunk and return it to Lowes, as if). Why did we pay to have this warranty when both the product, and the warranty are junk? Never, ever again! While Im at it, I should add that our range, and refrigerator are also made by Whirlpool, and those too, are pieces of junk. I guess were bucking up, and scheduling a new installation. If there are any further problems, I will be contacting an attorney.

Here in Brazil, we use to have a very good brand of durable and reliable refrigerators and home appliances called Brastemp, and I was a very happy, fidelized customer of theirs. The time came for me to move to my new house. I gave my old appliances away to friends and modeled my new kitchen with Brastemp products. What I didnt know then is that Whirlpool bought the brand in 2000 and was selling their appliances over the Brastemp brand since.Whirlpool is clearly selling disposable appliances here. My vacuum cleaner failed after a week. My brand new refrigerator and laundry machines failed weeks after the one-year warranty and the dishwasher sometimes heats up and tips the 20A circuit breaker (suggested by the manufacturer), which is only for the dishwasher. For my complete surprise, my old appliances are still functional in my friends house. I got my old dishwasher back and I had absolutely no problems since.The vacuum cleaner failed again, this time 5 months out of warranty. In all fail cases, the price to fix it was about 70% of the price of a new one, which I took as a sign to replace them for something else. Good job, Whirlpool! You bought a nice brand, trashed it and gave the finger to fidelized customers you acquired with the new brand by replacing quality products with built-in obsolescence others. What do you plan to do next? Whatever it is, dont count on me as a customer ever again.

I have a Whirlpool cabrio washer (Model: wtw6300 Serial Number: CT3573525) and I am very disappointed with it. The spin cycle is the worst--sounds like a jet engine and gives me the UL error message of unbalance load. The machine was purchased in 2007 but was kept indoors. At the beginning, I didnt care because I had warranty with BrandsMart. I had to call at least four times. But now, I bought the automatic control and it didnt work. For two days, I was trying to balance this machine but it is impossible since the beginning.I contacted customer service and they advised me to contact the repair service in my area to get a diagnostic analysis of the issue. Hello! I already know what the problem is after reading all these reviews! I cannot tell you how pissed off I am. I will never purchase anything Whirlpool. Two of the gas burners of my Whirlpool kitchen, after two years of use, are no longer working. I will definitely contact BBB as soon as possible. Bought Whirlpool French door refrigerator. Unit was defective when delivered and I told them so. That was on 06/14/2013. Unit got progressively worse and finally has quit completely. At Whirlpools suggestion we bought a Whirlpool Repair Plan Plus One (another scam) for $300. Repairman came out and told us the refrigerator couldnt be fixed. Now Whirlpool suggests their only option is for us to buy a discounted model. This refrigerator went from bad to not working at all in less than a year and a half. Anyone that buys a Whirlpool appliance with knowledge of how they treat customers and back their products has to be a little crazy.

We just love the hidden icemaker, the outside display for temps, ice, water, external H2O and crushed or cubes, and the LED inside lighting is fantastically bright, the space, moveable shelves, the quiet, the overall efficiency, huge drawers freezer, the wide open doors, the separate temps for vegetables, cheeses, cold cuts, etc. The separate filters in the refrigerator eliminate any smells. Easiest water filter to change we have ever had on any make refrigerator. Over the years, this is the first refrigerator of perhaps 7, we have truly never regretted buying it and frequently comment how happy we are with it!

I bought a Whirlpool Partner II 5 and a half years ago. It was always noisy and took very long to run a cycle. It started to malfunction after 2 years. We bought a new computer for it and a new control panel for the touch keys. It still kept not running a cycle fully. We found a YOUTUBE video that showed how to reset the model by pressing a combination of Normal and Heated Dry and that seemed to fix it for 2 years.It has stopped working again. Now it seems that the heating element is out. It doesnt clean at all, a scum film has covered the inside of the dishwasher and even mold spots are appearing. Ive had to wait extremely long times on hold to talk with an agent. My option is to hire a repair tech to come out and repair it and I pay for the parts. Seems like a bad deal since Ive already spent over a hundred on repairing it and a lot of hours. I will never buy a Whirlpool brand appliance again.

We purchased a new Whirlpool washer in March 2010. Yesterday, 2/19/12, the washer stopped working. We called a repairman who checked the machine and told us the motor needs to be replaced. We called Whirlpool today, 2/20/12, and were told by their customer service department that since we did not have an extended warranty. We told them that we believe the motor should last more than 2 years. Their response was that if the motor lasted more than a year that was all they cared about. The only thing they would do is replace the motor if we gave them $299.00. I think it is very clear that Whirlpool knows it makes inferior products as they fail to stand behind what they make. I will never buy another Whirlpool product and would advise anyone who is looking for a washer to buy something other than Whirlpool.

I love the French doors with the ease of seeing everything when you open the doors. The only thing I do not like about this unit is the ice maker. If there is more than one person in the household there is never enough ice. Also the ice gets hung up inside the ice maker often.

Hello, Here is our story. We bought this refrigerator Whirlpool - 26.2 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Refrigerator through a local reputable retailer. After 16 months we started to have problems with ice melting in the ice bin. We continued to have problems related to cooling/freezing within the refrigerator to the point where almost all the major parts were replaced. The good news is the dealer negotiated with Whirlpool to have all repair costs covered after the first visit. I asked about just getting us a new refrigerator and was told Whirlpool requires a part to be replaced 3 (THREE) TIMES before consideration.In summary, the refrigerator could not be fixed and was condemned in agreement with both Whirlpool and the Dealer. Here is the interesting news - since the refrigerator was out of warranty (12 months and now we are at 18 months), they are requiring we pay $600+ for the replacement. Buyer beware - either pay for the extended warranty or risk having to be inconvenienced by having your refrigerator unavailable for days or in our case, weeks!

I bought this Cabrio Washing Machine just over a year ago and it never drained water when I was doing towels and bed sheets. Life got in the way, and I managed to run smaller loads in the regular settings. Now, the machine is just over a year old and it will not spin unless I put it on the rinse and spin issue. It takes well over 2 hours to wash a load of laundry. From looking at other reviews, this is a big problem. I would not recommend this washer to anyone. It cost a ton of money and was the worst washing machine I have ever used.

Purchased a new oven 06/2016- today, I had Sears come and look at the issue. Need a new Control Board/ $750.00. Called Whirlpool, they will not help, or give me an explanation of why this expense is justified. Very dissatisfied with product; will not recommend, nor purchase again.

I am so bummed that this fridge died. It was perfect in size and function and appearance. I didnt use the ice maker. Within the first year, the temps were erratic, freezing in the fridge area at the rec. setting and too warm when I lowered it. Finally the compressor gave in at 19 months. Of course, out of warranty. HOWEVER, my credit card, VISA, added a year of warranty and is paying the full amt for replacement. Now I have no idea what to get. Every brand, American or Japanese is not made to last. I regret getting rid of my old dependable avocado fridge, thats how hard it is to feel confident to make a good next purchase. Formerly reliable names are only that, OLD NAMES WITH SHINY LOOKS AND JUNK INSIDE.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator for my condo in February of 2012. During the past six months it started to freeze everything in the food compartment, and then during this past month the freezer started to slowly die. Ice cream became soup. After calling repair and examination it appears the fridge has basically died and it would have cost me over $500 to fix a $570 refrigerator. That type of lifespan is unacceptable. Before energy efficiency demands from the government, refrigerators lasted much longer. In the 50s, 60s, the refrigerator my parents owed lasted nearly 30 years. Am I expecting too much? Apparently so. I went out and purchased a Frigidaire this time. Hopefully, Ill get a few more years out of that one (Not happy).

I purchased this Whirlpool Cabrio washer three months ago from hhgregg. If I hit the lottery, the first thing Im going to do is take it to the dump and buy a new washer. There is no way to wash a load of towels in this machine. I started a load at 7:35 this morning and it is now 9:53 and Im still dealing with the drain and spin cycles. Over and over, I try to get it to spin out enough water that I can put the towels in the dryer. I should have suspected something when I saw that the washer even had a separate drain and spin cycle. It should have told me something. Its a piece of junk. Never again. Im back to Kenmore.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator, model # wrt779reyb00 with serial # vs13537798. The icemaker quit working and then water started leaking out from the door. A&E serviceman came out to repair and said we needed a new door. It had been over 11 weeks and the door still has not arrived and we have been told it could be as late as November. When I purchased an item, I expect it to work and if not, to be repaired within a reasonable time or be replaced. I have called and been told that replacement is not an option and that I will just have to wait. This is unacceptable. I purchased this refrigerator with water in the door and an icemaker and I expect it to work.

My ref. stopped working. I troubleshoot it and did not work. I filled out a service request back on February 2nd, 2015. I got an email back from a subcontractor called Active Appliance INC. with a date service on February 6th, 2015, 4 days after my service request, and that is the only available date. The technician arrived while I am not at the house, however I talked to him before he started the work on my refrigerator and asked him kindly if he can call me after founding the issue, and he assured me that he will. No call and when I arrived home I found that he told the attendant that the refrigerator is not working and he has to report to the office. REALLY! We know that! Anyway I called Active Appliance and the customer services rep. told me that she could not answer with the diagnose until she speak with the technician and that will be Monday February 9th, I asked if I could speak with a manager, and her reply was Our managers do not talk to the customers. I had to hang up and call Whirlpool customer services and spoke with a nice gentleman, that he was not happy with Active Appliance INC. services. He placed me on hold and called them and within 3 minute he got back with the news, what was wrong with the refrigerator, electric computer panel burned out and then the fan continue to work with no stop, so it burned as well. He assured me that the services will be done no later than Tuesday February, 10th.While on the phone I got a call from active appliance and this time she wanted to know if I am warranted. I told her that I have Whirlpool on the other line and they assured me that I am. She said that it does not matter and she has to get something in writing. I placed her on hold and talked with Whirlpool and he assured me that he will contact them and email me a confirmation, which he did. By Tuesday February 10th, no call no follow up. I called Active appliance and they stated that it would take up to 14 working days for a part to arrive. I called Whirlpool and spoke with a customer services manager, and she got on the phone and told me that they are going to do their best and get back with me. Today February 16th I got a call to cancel a work service order due to technician calling sick and reschedule for February 25th Wednesday, I told her that they did not call to schedule the service first place, her answer was Never mind, I am calling to cancel anyway. Would you like to take this appointment or NOT? I asked her kindly to reevaluate their service procedures and the way they handle their customer, and I told her that I bought my refrigerator from Whirlpool and they are the company in charge of their product and I do not wish to continue this dialog with Active Appliance!I called Whirlpool and the customer service gentleman was helping me and we got disconnected, however when I called back they were closed for the day, however the customer service has my phone number but I got no phone call!!!! I think this is the worst POOR service I got within the last 20 years!!!!! I hope someone at Whirlpool care about their services and can contact me to handle the issue.

I purchased a washer and dryer through Best Buy. I had already decided on what I wanted and have purchased Whirlpool appliances in the past including washers and dryers. I tried other brands and was disappointed so I wanted to go back to using Whirlpool w/d. I was encouraged to purchase this set because it was on sale. Worst mistake I ever made. I am so disappointed! I wish I could go back and do over. I would have gladly paid more for what I had wanted instead of saving (supposedly) a little money. I personally think they were trying to get rid of these models because they are awful and I have had so many problems doing a job I already dont but this set makes it worse. The washer is constantly off balance I think because you have to be so strict in how you lay in the laundry to the washer! Now the dryer takes even longer to dry my clothes than my twenty year old set (Maytag) which wasnt that bad. Is there any kind of trade-in I could do model: WTW4900B to get the set I really wanted (the models with glass top on washer and glass door on dryer)? I purchased this in April 19 of 2014. Bought a French door whirlpool gold, wanted a good long lasting fridge. Bought in late 2011. After having it a couple of weeks we noticed the ice maker would take days to make ice. So we called to have it looked at. The repairman said if it is slow, switch it to fast ice. It made ice even slower, but the repair company said if it is making ice, and he comes out, we would be charged. So we lived with it. In 2014 it stopped making ice at all. We called they sent someone out and said it was a control board. They had to order it, and came back a week later to put it in. They left and said we would have ice soon. Never did!!!So we call again, they come out and said no power to ice maker. He called Whirlpool and they said wires in the freezer door were worn and broke. Well the door is non-serviceable and the cost of the door will exceed the price of the fridge! What kind of crap is that!! Long story short I will never buy another whirlpool again, and when I hear of someone buying new appliances I warn them to stay away from whirlpool!!! Run!!!

The control panel is difficult to use. It’s much too easy to switch power from the top oven to the bottom oven without knowing it. In addition, the plastic cover over the control panel makes it difficult to use especially if your fingers have flour or oil on them. It would be much easier and more accurate if knobs were used to control the all the functions instead of a electronic screen. Also, the clock has never operated accurately. Always runs fast. Temperature of the ovens is pretty accurate. However, it does take a long time to reach chosen temperature. Both ovens are large and able to handle an 18 inch round pizza dish. Other than the control panel, I’m pleased with both the gas stove top and both electric ovens.

Cabrio Top Washer - Disappointed!! Its selling point was using less water but do they realize that you DO have to use a little water to clean clothes. Leaves residue on every load and where I have to use the extra rinse cycle and that still doesnt work. This product is going on eBay today! Never again Whirlpool.

We have had the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer for 4 years now. Let me start off by saying the first 6 months was wonderful. Then after that, the machines were breaking down every time we turned around at the worst times. With 2 adults and 4 children, you see my point. We have had a repairman at our house to fix these machines 6 times and now, we are getting a code on our washer that is F1. Looking up codes online shows to be the computer system of the machine and a $400-$600 repair, might I add. Please save your money and buy a better and more dependable set than Whirlpool. Washers and dryers used to last 20-25 years, or so my parents and grandparents did. All of the manufacturers are building cheap junk so we can buy them more often.

Purchased this washer 5 months ago. Have had service 3 times as dark clothes come out with white residue. I have done everything possible to correct the problem. They recommended from cleaning the machine, using less detergent, minimizing the load, using extra rinse, deep water and still the clothes come out with the residue. And it takes way too long to wash a batch of clothes. This is a known problem with this model. Repair company recommended a replacement and Whirlpool insists that it is a usage problem. One thing they said Could be water is too cold, I live in Florida there is no cold water! Whirlpool refuses to replace it. DONT BUY IT!!!

I waited on hold for 24 minutes to be greeted by Audrey in Michigan giggling. I put in my service, need to be told I have to wait 3 days to have a tech arrive for A BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR! To top off my disgust of WP, our BRAND NEW dishwasher doesnt work properly either. To wait, to receive ZERO voice of concern or even a fake apology, is disgusting to me. I am extremely disappointed! Shame on you Whirlpool! Shame on you!

I bought a house and for the first time in my life, I was able to afford and buy all new Whirlpool appliances at Sears. I worked so hard all my life and was so happy I could get new appliances when I was almost 50 years old. Up until then, I could only afford to get used appliances. Even then I had to finance them with a credit card, only to be so sad and disappointed. They are without a doubt the ** junk I have ever had. I wish I could have all my old appliances back. My new Whirlpool flat top oven burns everything and has ruined all my pots and pans. I do canning every year and it has ruined my very old and heavy pressure cookers. Even when you turn the heat all the way to low, it burns everything. I called the manufacturer and they say they do not have to disclose that it will ruin your pressure cookers or burn everything. I am very angry I bought any Whirlpool appliances. I also got a new washer and dryer; they are junk too. They dont clean my clothes like my old washer and everything is so wrinkled up when it comes out of the dryer. I need to iron everything. I have never seen anything like it. I also bought a Whirlpool hot water tank that has now gone out 2 times in 5 years because the thermostat burns out. I pray it doesnt burn my house down one of these days. One of the times it went out, I was about 10 feet away from it and it literally blew up and about gave me a heart attack. It was so loud and scared the bejezzers out of me. Whirlpool, you suck. I have told everyone I can tell how much junk your appliances are. Your company should have to be accountable for selling people such **! I would sure like to be paid not only for the cost of these junky appliances but also all my quality pressure cookers, ruined clothes and distress this has caused me. They have no consequences. They have gotten away with ripping people off and giving a lot of us tons of stress, stress, stress, and anxiety, not to mention all the financial cost. Thanks, Whirlpool, you piece of junk! I think if I had not worked so hard to finally get what I thought at the time were high quality new appliances, I wouldnt be so affected but I dont have the money now to get new quality appliances. Whirlpool took my hard earned money for their junk.

Whirlpool Cabrio - Our washing machine just started leaking water with oil underneath. This would be our third repair since purchasing this machine but it doesnt sound like a repair is possible or worth it. Its too bad we cant go back to the old models. They definitely lasted longer with no problems. Companies should make the older models bigger and forget about the front loaders and newer models without the agitators. Too much shaking in the machine causes too many repairs!

We installed this furnace along with a matching 4ton a/c unit over four years ago. It was installed with a 3 zone computer controlled damper system to separately condition the three floors of our home. This furnace was ideal because it has a dual stage combustion chamber depending on how much demand there is. So besides being 95% efficient, the furnace can run at 70% or 100% heating capacity which saves on utility bills when the whole house doesn't need heat at the same time. It also had a variable speed blower which made start ups and shut downs almost unnoticeable. The blower actually ramps up to speed discreetly and adjusts itself according to the amount of back-pressure it senses. This allows it to respond to varying conditions as each of the 3 thermostats are calling for heating or cooling at different times. And yes here in St. Louis we have had days that require heat on the first floor and a/c on the third floor at the same time. The controller cycles between the two every 15 mintutes. All of these features make it ideal for our 2200sq ft three story brick home(four including the basement where it is installed). This furnace and control system along with new ductwork and dampers were able to replace the two old furnaces and a/c units originally in the home. We haven't had a single problem with it in over four years and would recommend Whirlpool Gold products to anyone I know. If I ever had to do this again in another house I would do exactly the same thing with exactly the same products.

Bought a Whirlpool washer and dryer in 2/2013. In 5/2014, the washer went out of balance, but corrected itself quickly. Since then, it sounds like a cement mixer during the spin cycle. It took one month to get someone to come out and look at it. Apparently the bearings went and the part alone costs $450! Add another $250-$300 for labor and I could buy another washer. We called Whirlpool, who were unwilling to do anything to rectify the situation, i.e., replace the washer, send a replacement part, give us a discount on the replacement part. We didnt buy the extended warranty because who would think that a brand new washer would crap out after 15 months... and theres only the two of us.Not like Im washing clothes for a family of 5! I only needed a new washer/dryer because I moved out of state and didnt want to move the ones I had. Regretting that decision. Its unfortunate that there has been a decline in the manufacturing of goods to the point that they can be considered a throw away item. Will NOT be replacing this with another Whirlpool.

Purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio supposedly a top of the line washing machine? Not even three years old, used 3 times a week for normal to small loads, for a family of three. Stopped spinning water out, so clothes are soaking wet at the end of the cycle. Repairman said I need a new transmission and inner spin basket is completely worn. New parts will cost me around $500!!!! Repairman said this should not be this worn down in 2 1/2 years. I purchased this machine to replace a Roper brand machine I purchased used for $200 and had for over 10 years without issue! I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again. They do not stand behind their product! I should not have had any issues with this machine for at least 10 years!

We bought a travel trailer and it has a refrigerator with an ice maker in it and weve only used for 6 months out of the last year. The fridge is already broken (doesnt cool). They promised they would fix it even though we were out of warranty (by 7 days). That was 2 weeks ago. Theyve had one person come out and look at it, that couldnt fix it and now theyre claiming that they never told me that they would fix it and they will only cover up to $100 for someone to come fix it but I have to find the person because they couldnt find anybody. I asked them that if this was a fridge in the house how would they go about fixing it and they said it was the same process. How do you expect somebody to go out without a fridge for two-plus weeks?So many people told us not to buy the Camper because it had a Whirlpool in it but we didnt listen and we are regretting that now. The worst part is that after 48 hours we were promised they would replace the fridge if they couldnt get anybody to come out and fix it because they already okayed for the warranty to be used. But now the lady didnt put it in the notes which her name is Terry. We cant get a new one and we are waiting for a supervisor to call us back which probably wont even happen!!!

After years, the gas hot water heater model fg1f5040t3nov went out. The plumber had me get a new part. 2-3 weeks ago, it went out again. I am trying another new igniter assembly. If it goes again, Im getting a new heater - not a Whirlpool! My plumber says he can get me a new one for a little more than I spent on the Whirlpool, and its much more dependable.

We bought a Whirlpool refrigerator, model ED5LVAXWSOO. Although we didnt need or want the ice/cold water dispenser, we bought the model anyway. We have never hooked up nor used the ice maker/water dispenser. As the refrigerator was powering up upon its initial start-up after delivery, we found that condensation was leaking from the ice maker on the door. Upon closer inspection, we found that the hatch cover was not sealed and actually jiggled around when the door was opened or closed. A service man came, had difficulty with the issue, but eventually said he fixed it. It didnt leak again for almost three years. Then the exact same problem. (Remember, the component is still neither hooked up nor used.) Apparently, the opening and closing of the doors eventually caused the same defect to reappear. Of course, since the warranty has expired, Whirlpool sees no obligation on their part. But the value of a product is not based on a limited-time warranty, but on how the product holds up. This has to be a manufacturing or design defect as it came from the factory broken, and eventually the same problem re-appeared even though there was no wear and tear on the component, as it is not used. These products are much too expensive to begin failing after a few years. I would caution buyers based on the product being delivered broken (wheres their quality control?), its lack of durability even when not being used, and the Companys disavowal of any responsibility beyond the limited warranty period, even though it is a recurrence of the original problem (which to me means that it wasnt properly repaired/corrected during the service visit). Whirlpool eagerly grabbed our hard-earned money, but delivered an inferior product made worse, in turn, by its sub-standard service and lack of accountability.

Bought a dryer (wgd9050xw) 3 years ago. We bought a more expensive one than we had originally picked out. Every year its had to have a repair of same part. First year it was under warranty which tried to bill me so I had to dispute the charge. Charge was finally dropped. We just had it fixed again for third time in 3 years. Its a fire hazard because belt wears a pulley and basically melts it and gets belt hot. I just contacted Whirlpool and awaiting response.

The Cabrio washing machine I was told by salesman best made so I spent big $$, makes sense right?! Wrong! During spin cycles sounds like jet plane taking off, was told barrings or drive shaft is at fault cause water seeping inside, causing rust, Whirlpool didn’t seal it or designed it to ensure no seepage. When we bought our side by side fridge (model GD5RVAXVB02), the manual said to clean the condenser coils if you have excess dust and/or pet hair. We have both. We tried with the vacuum and with a brush but it is impossible to get to the coils because they run side to side instead of front to back. You can only get to the first coil in front. The rest cant be accessed from the front, sides or back. I called to find out how Whirlpool recommended they be cleaned and they could only recommend a vacuum attachment tool (8171579A) to clean the floor below the coils or a coil brush (4210463RW) that cant reach the coils! This design is meant to fail prematurely. They could have easily installed the coils running front to back so they could all be easily cleaned.

We have a Cabrio washer and dryer. The Washer has had problems since year one. We have just gone through service with Sears to fix a rusted out hinge on the lid. The tech broke the lid trying to drill out the rusted screws. He ordered a new lid and six weeks and one day later came to put the lid on. This was terrible. We were rescheduled two times for our appointment. Today the washer will not start on the cycle when you press the start button. We will never buy another Whirlpool product and not Maytag if what I read is true. Probably will be six more weeks to get this resolved.

I bought a Whirlpool water heater 5 years ago and after one year I had to replace the thermocouple every 3 months. Each time I call to complain, they would just send me a new thermocouple. I asked them several times to replace the item and they refused and just continued to send me replacement parts and refuse to honor their warranty. The water heater had some type of defect, but they still refuse to replace the item and did admit on the phone they have records of several parts that they sent.

I had a Whirlpool dishwasher for year and it worked great, but the baskets were rusting. I decided Feb 2014 to purchase another Whirlpool dishwasher. It did not clear as well as my old dishwasher. The seller of the dishwasher stated it was our water or detergent. The water and detergent were the same. The only difference was the dishwasher. Day prior to changing the dishwasher, the dishes were clear and the day I changed the dishwasher, the dishes were not clean. November 2016, the main board has gone out. The part costs $148, plus the service call. I called Whirlpool. They stated they would sell me the part or would discount a new dishwasher. I think they should discount the part!!! Whirlpool makes most brands of dishwashers, so you cant change companies. Their quality is all you can get.

Love the bottom freezer & french doors. Unit uses way less energy than older fridge. Did need a new evaporator but it was covered by a recall. Happy so far. Love having icemaker in the door so it doesnt take up freezer space.

The washing machine (WFS10055CD) was working fine until two months after the warranty period...It worked the night before, but in the morning, there were no lights. I emailed Whirlpool, but I received no reply. So, I called their number to ask if they would honor their faulty product JUST out of warranty...They wouldnt accept this...I live in an area with no service agents for them so I would also require freight costs of 1,000 km away...I have had an electrician examine the unit to find it may be the control panel/mother board...seems funny many issues with Whirlpool machines JUST out of warranty!!!

This is my second water heater in three years. The problem is the thermocouple thermostat. Also, when I drain the water, it comes out of the heater black because of the corrosion in side. I spoke to people in the company, and they were nasty to me. This happened to my two heaters in 2 1/2 years. Please, do not buy a Whirlpool heater.

These washers are known to rust terribly from underneath the bleach dispenser. Please note that if not detected within the 1st twelve months from purchase, then Whirlpool will not stand behind their product. I would highly recommend not purchasing the Cabrio top load washer. Extremely dissatisfied with this product and warranty.

We purchased a 4 piece set of Whirlpool kitchen appliances and have minor to major problems with 3 out of the 4. We had problems with our gas range/oven from the start. When I called to register the brand new range they told me it had been previously registered to someone else and they made me fax my receipt to them proving that the appliance was purchased new. Lowes said it was brand new in the box when I purchased it leading me to believe Whirlpool tried to pass off a refurbished product onto Lowes and then onto us. No surprise when the stove stopped working 3 times in barely over a year. It was so defective Lowes ended up replacing it for us. Not Whirlpool... they only argued with me about how the third time it was out of warranty and offered no help in fixing or replacing the defective oven. Now our ice maker just stopped dispensing ice 7 days after our warranty expired on our refrigerator model # WRS586FLDM00. Whirlpool will only agree to cover parts and is sticking us with the service call and labor! And thats not all... the plastic coating on the dishwasher racks started coming off exposing rusty metal when it was barely over a year old and I have received a postcard indicating there is a lawsuit involving our model for overheating and fire events! Now waiting for that to be our next issue. I am so disgusted with Whirlpool. We bought Whirlpool appliances believing they were quality products. They are quite the opposite. Wish I had researched their reputation and history of complaints before buying. Do not recommend Whirlpool Brand. Sincerely, Disgusted in California

I purchased the Whirlpool Duet Steam Washer and Dryer in the spring of 2010. Washer bearings just broke. I was told that the bearings in these machines are not strong enough to support the spin cycles. It is very disappointing to think that a company like Whirlpool would have their customers pay $1000 for a machine they know is not going to last. I agree with Julie. Maybe a class action lawsuit needs to be filed. Is there a lemon law for washing machines?

This refrigerator is only days old and I realize the mistake that was made in buying it- it is far too noisy! When it is running I can hear it in my basement- sounds like a car in my driveway idling with no muffler!!! And when it stops running, it gurgles loudly for 10-15 seconds. Dont even start on the door being hard to pull open after the door was recently opened.

The stainless steel refrigerator door is rusting after only 5 months and the company respond it is cosmetic and we the customer have to live with it.... They will send a cleaning product which didnt remove the rust. Review that was written on the company facebook page wasnt published because it didnt meet the company website guideline. Its disappointing and frustrating to realize that we have to go through it. Not happy with customer service.

I purchased a Household refrigerator Model WRF535SMBM00 on November 2013 at Home Depot which was not used but until June 2014. Awaiting finishing details on new house closing. The first year in use, I started having problems with freezer frosting, light not working, seemed like the ice produced in it, burned the light bulb. Prior to that sometimes it worked, sometimes it didnt. I started to think that it had burned, changed the light bulb. It didnt worked. After 2 months, all of a sudden the light worked, but the ice maker stopped working. What would be the suggestion to fix it, may I asked. This is very disappointing. You have a new house, and new appliances and they just dont work. And we are expected to pay for the repair! I dont think so.

I purchased the refrigerator in Nov. 2013 and it stopped working completely on 3/22/14. I called Customer Service and they told me someone from Apple Appliance would be here on the 24th, it is now the 27th and still no repairman. I have contacted both Apple and Whirlpool everyday and have gotten no satisfaction at all. I just found out that I will have to wait until March 31st to have someone here. I have lost everything in the freezer and refrigerator and have no way to cool anything. I find this unacceptable but have no alternative but to wait until Whirlpool does something about it. I will never purchase any other appliance from them.

I just purchased a brand new home. I have an electric wall oven with the microwave over the oven. They are both built into the wall. Can anyone tell me why a massive amount of steam is coming out. It is really bad it makes my microwave glass so bad I can see through it. It is also making my cabinets so wet I have to use a towel to dry them. Plus I got a steam burn. Can someone tell me if this is normal.

I purchased the fridge 2nd hand in 2013. It was 10 years old at the time. It is still going strong & I purchased it because it has a frost-free freezer that never needs de-frosting and I love the features & size - its the PERFECT FRIDGE. What I look for in a fridge is its colour - I like metal, steel grey colour. I go for reputation & quality. Frost free is the biggest factor that determines my purchases, long-term (10-year min.) warranty & guarantee, size.

Whirlpool Cabrio - Worst washing machine I have ever had. Unbalanced when washing sheets, towels. It does not matter if one sheet or two. I will never buy another one like this again. I would be better off having a twin tub for the amount of time I spend in the laundry to fix this machine when it bangs, bangs because it is unbalanced. HATE, HATE, HATE it.

I purchased a Whirlpool Microwave on 9/21/10 from Hamilton-Bryan in Wichita Falls, Texas. I had a small fire in my microwave on 9/19/11, due to a faulty mica board. This was replaced by Mr. Bobs in Wichita Falls, TX, under the warranty. Then on 1/9/12, the microwave would not warm anything. I called Mr. Bobs again, and they said the transformer was out. I called Whirlpool, and was told by Yvonne that Whirlpool would replace the part only, with no labor, but Mr. Bobs was closed, and to call back in the morning, so this authorization could be set up with Mr. Bobs. I called back and there was no record of my call with Yvonne. I talked to a supervisor Rachel in Tennessee. She put me on hold for a while and finally said she found Yvonnes note to authorize the part. I explained to each person I talked to that I was dissatisfied with Whirlpool. I believe I have a defective microwave. I would like my money back, or a new microwave. I believe the defective mica board is related to the defective transformer. I am a very dissatisfied customer. I have used Whirlpool most of my adult life. I have used them since the 1970s. I currently have a Whirlpool refrigerator, washer, and dryer. A similar situation like this occurred when I bought a Samsung washer. I was dissatisfied, and Samsung refunded my money, and I bought a Whirlpool washer to replace Samsung. I will not be satisfied with this situation, until the microwave is replaced. Thank you for your concern and attention to this matter.

I agree with the person who said they would rate it no stars, because this washing machine model (Whirlpool Cabrio Model No. WTW8500DC4) does not deserve one. It truly does need to go back to the engineering department. This washing machine is a replacement for another Cabrio! Short story on the first one: Installed on February 2, 2017. October 5, 2017, machine would not go. Then began a series of waiting for repair people, parts, etc. I think it was a total of four trips -- the first one to inspect, three to install parts, the last one being where the repairman took the machine totally apart in the laundry room and was here for several hours. Still would not work. On November 29, 2017 (almost two months later!), Whirlpool had one delivered by JB Hunt. Well, that wasnt so short.This complaint is on the replacement machine. Installed on November 29, 2017. On February 3, 2017, washer said it was done. Well, it wasnt! Clothes were sopping wet, had not been spun, and the fabric softener had not released meaning, I guess, that they had not been through the rinse cycle. It gets better! Tried to start it on a short wash, meaning not very dirty as that is the only way to shorten the cycle. The timer showed 40-something minutes, then went to 1:36 minutes, then to 1:42. Turned it off, unplugged, let sit 15-20 minutes. Plugged in, started it back up. It went crazy! Water was pouring in the machine, then I heard a noise, looked to see what it was -- it was water coming out the bottom of the machine. Husband turned off the water spigots, didnt stop the water. I unplugged the thing from the wall; water did stop.Water was in the laundry room, the pantry, the kitchen! Thankfully I was standing there to see what it was doing or it could have been really bad. This time I took photos and video of this thing. Technician is coming Wednesday. Well see, wont we? Do not want another Cabrio, but what do you do if, like most people with new washer/dryers, you want a matched set?

I got a new Whirlpool washing machine and dryer last year and Im very happy with both. I like the fact that it offers a quick cycle if you have a small load or need something quickly. If youre debating on what brand of washing machine you should buy I highly recommend Whirlpool or the other brands because Ive had really good luck with mine.

I purchases a Whirlpool 32 Cubic foot 3 door refrigerator in stainless model WRF992FIFM back on November 29, 2016 from Costco. I noticed that it was not making ice and that the refrigerator was around 50 degrees. This was on October 21, 2017. I called Costco and they contacted Whirlpool who sent out a service person on October 25. I am still without a working refrigerator and it is November 9, 2017 as I am told that a circuit board needs to be located.I have called both Costco and Whirlpool and no one seems to be worried about it. I was told by Whirlpool that if a part is not available by end of day Friday November 10 that I will be considered for a replacement. Considered really? I have never experienced such deplorable customer service on both Costco and Whirlpools part. It appears that this model is a lemon as there are large numbers of complaints on numerous websites. I asked for a refund due to the bad reviews and lack of parts and was denied. I will call on Friday for an update.

Whirlpool® Gold® 5.8CuFt Capacity | GAS Stainless - This was not an inexpensive stove. The self cleaning oven function is a total failure. You are not supposed to use oven cleaner on the glass, it now has obscured the view into the oven. The top of the stove is very difficult or impossible to clean. The knobs are a dangerous issue. They will fall off at the slightest touch and the stainless markers around the knob are just a stick on label. The oven temperature is not accurate. The bottom drawer is completely rust spots on the inside. What more can I say. Oh I know. Whirlpool your quality is a disgrace and I want a refund.

I bought the Ikea dishwasher (model IUD8500BX1) in 2014. Because it’s from Ikea, it has 5 year warranty. I was using it daily, as I have a family of 5 and we cook and eat at home most days. I have called Whirlpool at least 4 times according to the repairman that was here today. Ive already had to replace the pump because it was holding up water. After which, mold started occurring in the washer. The technician who came out found 4 fault codes on the machine. He was prepared to replace sensors and the circuit board for the heater and the pump, since it likely had mold. But Whirlpool says the parts are functional therefore the replacement parts won’t fix it. He is not allowed to replace anything.Considering the mold is an after effect of the failure to drain, you would think they would fix the mold as well. A replacement dishwasher would be nice, but at least replacement of the internal plastic parts that I cant clean. Instead, they tell me to bleach wash it and run a cycle with bleach. Guess what, Ive already done that. And according to the technician hes never seen a dishwasher have this much mold when it’s used as often as I use it. If you are buying this product thinking they will stand by their product, think again.

We purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator Model Number WRS555SIHZ06 Serial Number HRA2506806 on July 15th 2021 from Lowes. First one from Lowes came off the truck damaged so working out of a cooler in the kitchen for 2 more weeks. Now 4 months later the compressor is out and all the food spoiled like $400 bucks gone and food is expensive these days. I called and Whirlpool said no food allowance and no replacement. Fridge can be brought over - so repairman will come out in 6 days and then say he has to order parts then I wait two more weeks then the repair. So 3 weeks without a fridge with the holidays coming up and people to feed and food to cook. This is going to be interesting. I hate Whirlpool Refrigerator - never again will I purchase one of this appliances. The GE I had for 12 years and no problem at all for 12 years. What is going on with these companies????

Purchased a black Whirlpool refrigerator, Gold Series, Model GB2FHDX WB 22 cu ft. with bottom freezer from hhgregg. Within one month I had water on my floor, ice buildup on bottom freezer floor. I had previously reviewed fridge and noise was a concern but I thought I could live with that. I contacted hhgregg. They would do NOTHING, told me to contact Whirlpool. The 1st repairman said it was the ice-maker. I DO NOT have an ice maker. He fixed a duckbill. 2nd call 6 months later, same problem with water, serviceman replaced duckbill. Next year, 2011 same problem with water on floor and ice buildup on freezer bottom floor. After numerous repairmen I contacted Corporate Office of Whirlpool. They sent another repairman at their expense. We are now 6 years later and I am having the same problem. Dont buy a Whirlpool Gold & dont buy from hhgregg.

Within 5 years, this is my experience: A broken brand new Whirlpool fridge after 6 months of purchase; a broken oven that needed repair after 1 year, and today, the oven door just shattered in pieces after I heard a loud noise from the kitchen, almost injured the kids. And guess what, I just returned a new Tilt-Head Stand Mixer KitchenAid that wouldnt stay in place; the head keeps on tilting and would not stay locked. After being on hold on the phone for almost 3 weeks for a return, I found out it was a Whirlpool brand family. This is horrible, I would suggest to never buy the Whirlpool brand; their products are a real nightmare and their customer service is not reliable. If you do buy from them, expect unreliable products and very long long wait periods on the phone.

Model CAE2745FQ0, Serial #C72680766 - Purchased this coin op clothes washer 2/2/2018 at Brandsmart, Deerfield Beach FL. Would not empty or spin correctly; 1st service call 2/28/2018. (Less than 30 days from purchase date). 3/21/2018 called Whirlpool again as same problem continues (as listed above). Washer is not being overloaded. Whirlpool repair visit scheduled again for 3/23/2018. This is the 2nd repair time since we purchased the washer on 2/28/2018. Purchased the same model 2 years ago, and experienced repeated problems to the point where we got rid of that machine and purchased the most current model referenced here. We are looking for a full refund of the purchase price as it appears that this recently purchased machine is on its way to be a repeat performance of the 1st machine that we got rid of (that was purchased 2 years ago). Again, we want the full purchase price refunded, which is $900.88. This machine is not even 2 months old. Thank you.

Two months ago, I bought a Whirlpool duet washer and the computer went out, two days after the warranty was up. It went bad that I disconnected the detergent mechanism, which made it work, for now.

I purchased Whirlpool washer in Dec.2017 and used it in winter months only (Nov to March). It kept leaking and had to get appliance repair service for $50 and was told that machine is defective and whirlpool should repair it or replace it. I phoned whirlpool and they told me I have to use their appliance repair shop to evaluate the machine for cost of $130. The inlet valve was leaking and needed replacement for a cost of $253.55 and whirlpool shirked all and any responsibility. Dont buy whirlpool as it is not a good product and service is poor.

Bought new from menards. Doesnt work properly, doesnt wash right and cleans poorly. It too bad because I thought I was upgrading from my old Whirlpool washer that was 15 years old so I order the new cogs for the agitator on the old machine and now using it again. Works better than the new one. Sad that whirlpool wont stand behind the product. Might as well be made in china.

Whirlpool washing machine model WCW4950XW2 - We have a barely two year washing machine that we purchased at Best Buy and it no longer drains or spins. After $100 repair call we were told that this is a common problem with this model. It is a transmission problem, and with the way the machine is built a repair person cannot get into the transmission to fix it. He suggested we buy a new washing machine. This is a travesty on so many levels! If whirlpool know it has a problem it should offer a partial refund for the purchase of a newer better machine. I keep thinking about what our landfill in this world look like with the proliferation of appliances that are engineered to last a year or two. I can guarantee you I will never purchase any Whirlpool produce again, and I will research whether other brands are associated with the whirlpool brand before I buy it. Sad that a once good company has gone to hell.

I purchased a new Whirlpool top load washer and dryer in 2012. I heard all kinds of crazy stories about all the new machines, so I tried to stay with the regular top load style. About 6 months ago my machine seems to have lost its mind! It forgets where it is in the cycle and pulls hot water when it should be cold and the washing machine has even overflowed all over my laundry room floor. I tried unplugging it, but thats just a temporary fix, it goes right back to its antics! I had my last washer and dryer for over 12 years. Im really upset that I spent a small fortune on this machine and now it needs repairs! Repairman is scheduled for next week. I will never buy Whirlpool again! JUNK!!!!

The unit I live in is at **. They purchased it in Nov 2011. The washing machine worked for 2 months. Now, it has to be dismantled at my home and take a day off. I would like a replacement. The Dutchgate is still being developed. They purchased at least 60 at this point, there is no reason not to give me a new one instead of having two techs dismantle the machine in my new home for 4 hours and a day off of work. I bought this Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load Washing Machine in December and have hated it ever since. The energy efficiency this item claims means that you will spend a ridiculous amount of time waiting for your load to finish. My family hates this machine and I regularly have to hear about how long the load is taking because the timer adjusts continually. Put in a QUICK load and it said 38 minutes, came back in 30 and it said 24 minutes. It is so frustrating!!! We are afraid to put anything on a heavy soil setting or anything other than quick, because it can take 2-3 hours to complete. I have to schedule a day to wash my bedding and there isnt any convenience in doing a quick load. I am going to have to sell this one and purchase another washer. What a loss!! This machine has been a time and money waster! I will NEVER BUY WHIRLPOOL again!!! I bought this machine through Best Buy.

We our adding our name to a list that is remarkably long. We purchased a top loading Cabrio washing machine just over a year ago and the problems with the balancing of the unit are the same as everyone else who has written in. The service company A&E has promised a lot but has done little to resolve the issues we have had with the machine. One representative told us that she would order the part and have it sent to our home. When the part did not arrive, we called A&E back only to find out it was never ordered because the service technician would not return their phone calls. I find this excuse ridiculous and similar to other false statements they have given us on the other four phone calls made to address the problem. After reading these reviews, we realize that this is only the beginning of what will be a frustrating and costly experience. Never again will we buy a Whirlpool!

Im happy with my 9 year old purchase. They are front loaders and they sit too low for my comfort. The available pedestals cost hundreds of dollars for a pair...that I do not want to spend. I have not had any repairs needed.

The Whirlpool Cabrio washer was extremely expensive to purchase but is rusting out and the circuit board is going out. We have had cheap washers last longer than this one and just to purchase the circuit board will be more expensive than another cheap washer. These boards go out right after the warranty goes out and I think that they are timed to go out. (The exact same thing happened with our dishwasher and after the board was replaced, it has lasted many years). Whirlpool should replace these for free since they do not last that long and are very expensive.

In 2007 and 2008, I purchased 7 natural gas heaters: 1 for my home and 6 for rental properties. I have had nothing but problems from all of them. Two of them failed this weekend (one 40-gallon and one 50-gallon). I called the 800 number and have to pay $63.50 for parts for the 40-gallon and was given a PO number to pick up parts for the 50-gallon at Lowes. They do not have the parts. I have spent over $250,000 at Lowes since 2000. I have all Whirlpool appliances in rentals and my own home. The discussion I had at two Lowes stores today really showed me how they take care of their customers. I told both stores that I will never buy the Whirlpool brand again!

Its supposed to be energy efficient yet it takes AT LEAST two times as long to get one load done, regardless of size or cycle preference! Now laundry takes all day! Literally! And why is there a lid lockout? Did someone accidentally fall in? If I drop something after Ive pushed start, I have to wait until the machine unlocks the lid. Why? This seems counterproductive. Its a top loader!

You have to take into account that this microwave doesn’t heat up as others I’ve had so even if the instructions call for something to be cooked for 5 minutes, you have to add at least 2 minutes more. If not it would be undercooked.

I purchased a Whirlpool (Cabrio) Washer on March 1 2018. I previously had a Roper top loader with an agitator that was 22 years old. I used that washer for that many years and washed clothes 6 out of the 7 days of the week. Probably at least 20 loads a week. I never had a problem with it getting my clothes wet & clean. It never left them dirtier after washing them than they were before washing them. I am so disappointed in this washer!!! I can see it will not do any good to complain to Whirlpool because apparently they dont care about their customers. They think theyre products are perfect when they are far from it. I plainly told the associate I wash clothes every day. Really dirt clothes. (My son is a mechanic). I need a good washer. I can wash them by hand better than this washer does. I am very thankful I have not paid the full price for this washer yet. I will be calling them to come pick it up when my next payment is due. I will be going to one of the local consignment or thrift stores and purchasing myself an old timey top loader washer with an agitator for $100 or less. Whirlpool I had high hopes with this product and would have been buying a dryer to match soon but I believe I will stick to my Roper products or anything other than Whirlpool.

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator (model GX5SHDXV01) about 5 years ago. This company used to have a great reputation, but times have changed. At 2 years, the defroster went out and needed to be replaced. I thought at the time it was just one of those flukes, since Whirlpool makes such good products. But, here I am again with the defroster out at just over 5 years old. I contacted customer support and was told that they would not stand behind their product. Twice in 5 years is ridiculous! Poor marks for reliability.

I bought a Whirlpool WFW9470 Front Loader Washing Machine 11 months ago. The washer appears to complete a wash cycle but leaves the washing wet and with no error message or light. Whirlpool says the machine is not designed for light loads. The technician says washing on a light load will damage the bearing. We had the spin bearing replaced after 8 months. But still, the washing remains wet and the bearing wears out prematurely.

The only thing cheaply made is the push latch on the dryer. Both are pricey for what you get, I thought, though they were the cheapest Lowes offered. We have had the pair for a little over a year. So far no real problems, though we really do not like the latch door. You have to slam the door to get it to close. To do it over we would probably have shopped a little longer and for the same money got a better deal.

The dishwasher keypad failed after 1.5 years, went through 2 gas ranges, peeling paint and orange flame in less than a year. Now dealing with the washer, the pump is spitting out white plastic after less than a year. No more Whirlpool in this house.

The knobs on the Whirlpool gas stove model Super Capacity 465 AccuBake system are easily confusing and dangerous. If the knob is turned in the wrong direction when intending to turn the burner off, it turns to a very low setting which is although nice for simmering, it is very easy for it to be mistaken as the off position and leaves only the gas leaking if the smell is not noticed in time.

The repairman said the shaft, which of course is one piece with the outer drum, is corroded. Really? Did we not expect water in our washing machine? The repair is $500. After reading all the bazillion complaints on this model (on the internet), I have decided not to repair the piece of junk!
