Not as big as appearance would indicate. Very disappointed in actual usable space. You have to open both doors to get anything but the smallest items out. Had unit for less than a year and had to get freezer door seal replaced. Glad we got the extended warranty.

I have Whirlpool Gold washer and dryer and microwave. All handles and grills and trays have broken. What a disappointment ! Their top of the line? We, at this house, will always avoid buying anything from crap pool gold!! Its a disgrace the way they make these things. And the support sucks!

This was the first new appliance that I had actually ever had and I purchased it in October of 2010. After four months, it started make a grinding sound. I called Whirlpool and the repair man replaced the motor. Approximately four months after that, the lid got stuck and the machine would not respond. Same routine as before, but this time the transmission was replaced. While the machine was apart, I noticed the white insulating panel from the bottom was brown in a spot and looked as if it had gotten hot. A month before the 1 year warranty expired, the washer started making an intermittent grinding sound nearly identical to the sound made when the motor went out. This time a different service company was sent out my Whirlpool and the said that nothing was wrong. Now, the machine is out of warranty and has stopped cleaning close and during the spin cycle the you can hear water running into the machine constantly. Last months water bill shows a 40% increase in water consumption when nothing has changed to incur a larger bill. Seeing all these comments makes me wonder why the heck nothing is being done to force recalls on such poor products. Consumers should be treated with a lot more respect than this. I will never recommend a Whirlpool product to anyone I meet. In fact, I will strongly discourage anyone who is contemplating buying a Whirlpool washer machine.

We bought model # WTW5000DW2 Whirlpool top loader. The sensor for water level continually bangs until the water reaches its required level!! Very annoying! I like that it doesn’t have an agitator but that’s it. I’d rather be able to pick my own water level. It also is a very slow process!! I would not recommend this machine unless it is going into a sound proof room.

I waited a month. Nothing happened. I called them back. They said I needed to do something else so I waited for it to happen. Nothing happened. Now I call back 8 weeks later without a refrigerator my house come to find out they told me theyre not doing nothing.Well four weeks later now Im sitting with the stove which cost me quite a bit of money like $2,000 for the induction stove. Now its burned out the computer components. Control panels are both out. It will cost $800 to repair it. Now well pull. Said they will also pay for parts for that but not for the labor so now Im stuck without a refrigerator and I dont have a stove in my house and theyre saying its okay that these very expensive piece of equipment that I bought and its okay for them to only last 2 years. Never had a Whirlpool last me less than 10. I think theres something wrong with this picture.

I have been unhappy with my Whirlpool Cabrio washer since I purchased it from Lowes. I should have looked online before I bought it and then I would not have made the mistake of buying it. The washer leaves soap deposits on the clothes and sometimes leaves a colored soil. It has ruined numerous clothing by tearing out hems of towels and wash cloths and tore a hole in a favorite sweater. I prefer an agitator in my washer. From what I read, I will soon begin to have other major problems and then I will replace it, but not with a Whirlpool.

This Maytag dishwasher is awful. The parent company is Whirlpool and their customer service is as bad as their products. I bought this dishwasher and less than a week later the pump isnt working and stagnant water is sitting in the machine. It took Whirlpool 3 weeks to replace the machine and they sent over another defective machine. This time it lasted less than 2 days. The Whirlpool customer reps are rude and vindictive and antagonize the customer with their lack of service. Called corporate office with no help from Cust. Service and was told to leave a message with the operator and await a callback. With this fiasco I wouldnt buy another Whirlpool or Maytag product again. BTW. Im still awaiting my callback from the corporate office... Im not holding my breath. I called the company that I bought the dishwasher from to see if they can help me unload this machine and get a different brand...

We have the Cabrio model and are thoroughly pleased with the performance. My only issue is the amount of sounds during the spin cycle. Otherwise, the machine is quiet. I like having the automatic dispensers for soap, bleach and fabric softener. Not having the classic tub makes loading a little different as the clothes need to be distributed around the side of the tub and avoid the center.

I am posting to help anyone else avoid the purchase of this machine! The lid has cracked and now warped into a position where it wont stay down. Obviously a washer will not work without being in the locked position, so we have to put several heavy things on top of it just to run a load of laundry. This is not what we expect out of a washer that we paid $900 for only two years ago!!!! We contacted Whirlpool and they offered to fix it for $350. REALLY??? I SHOULD NOT have to pour money into a washer this expensive after two years!!!! I am so disappointed in Whirlpool, this was the entire reason we purchased Whirlpool products, to avoid stress of broken appliances. We wanted reliability for our busy family and instead we bought into more stress.

I purchased a new Whirlpool refrigerator, side by side in August 2013. The ice maker made ice but the size of the ice was much smaller than usual, however we lived with it. Soon it only made about a handful of ice a day, which defeats the purpose of an ice maker. So we called the store we bought it from and they sent a repairman. The problem was not solved until about the 4th visit from the repairman. I was told there was no problem with our ice maker from the first 3 repairmen.In the meantime the refrigerator side started pooling water in the bottom under the bin... Had to call again for that problem (they fixed). Now the door is showing rust under the handles. I have contacted Whirlpool and they have told me thats too bad, but they dont have to do anything because read the fine print, it is not their problem and thank you for being a Whirlpool customer. I am very disappointed in this supposedly good company... Is this corporate America? Never again will I buy Whirlpool.

I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washing machine 2 years ago. Do not like it at all. Does not get my clothes clean. Pulls threads in my clothing. When I wash clothes on the normal cycle they are barely damp when the cycle is finished. When I use fabric softener it leaves blue spots on my clothes. I cannot afford to buy another washer so Im stuck with this one until it breaks. I would NOT buy another Whirlpool high-efficiency washing machine ever again.

I recently purchased a Whirlpool Gold Edition double range. After a couple of uses, the top oven thermostat went on the blink. I sat the thermostat to preheat. After 20 mins. and a call to the warranty department, the oven never reached the desired temperature. The warranty department sent a repair person who could find nothing wrong with the stove. I called Lowes and told them I couldnt trust the oven not to do it again (after several times of it happening and resetting the circuit breaker). This would be a disaster if it happened during the holidays when I cook for 20 or more people. Lowes manager said they wanted me to feel comfortable so they replaced the entire range. GUESS WHAT... 2 weeks after having the new one... same problem. I set the thermostat to 400 degrees and when it got to 390, I saw the light blinking. Waiting 10 more mins, nothing changed. I hit the cancel button, reset the bake... the thermostat, when I turned it back on, showed 365... What the heck! I didnt open the oven door. Whirlpool ranges are a piece of crap. I am calling Lowes again tomorrow to return and advise them to stop selling the junk. Dont blame Lowes... They do the best they can with the crap they sell.

We purchased all our appliances from Flecks - there were to be rebates. Also never received them. We have had our oven for 2 years - when I set the oven on 350 it will go up to 400 degrees & the temperature on the front of the stove is 350 then it will drop down to as low as 250 & the temperature will still say its still 350. I called the company - did will do nothing. Will cost me as much to fix it as to get a new one. This a Whirlpool oven.

Since purchasing original refrigerator 2 years ago I have multiple problems. Freezer was icing up to the point where drawers could not be opened, after numerous service calls, door was replaced which did not resolve problem. Refrigerator was replaced on warranty. Soon after light control circuit board had to be replaced. Next light control had to be recalibrated. Now, with the unit being approx. 1 yr old, rust spots are appearing on freezer door. Whirlpool rep advised this problem is not covered on warranty and would not provide any information as to what company contacts could be used to pursue the issue. Very upset and disappointed with product and customer service.

The built-in microwave above the stove was in the home when we bought it seven years ago, so not sure how old it is. Although it had a crack in the door, near the handle, weve had not one problem with the unit. The crack has not opened more, or gotten longer, in the seven years weve been in the home. The unit is easy to clean, and has worked perfectly. It is simple to use, although no directions came with it, it was easy to figure it out.

We purchased a WHIRLPOOL appliance 1.5 yrs ago. Approximately 7 months after purchase, the refrigerator began making a high pitch whining noise. We contacted WHIRLPOOL who sent out a mechanic who really appeared to not know much about the product. He made some sort of bogus repair and call himself fixing the problem. Well, a few months later, same problem... same noise. Now we are asking WHIRLPOOL to help and theyve done NOTHING. Now we are fighting between LOWES and WHIRLPOOL to fix our problem. We spent $2,000 on this appliance and I feel like we purchased a LEMON refrigerator. Did I mention the ICE MAKER seems to be the keen problem. I will NEVER purchase another WHIRLPOOL appliance. Ive had so many problems with this washer. Everything has been replaced on the machine and it is still a failure! It has overflowed 5+ times. Stopped draining 4 times (fun getting water out of it...). Have been without a washer for a total of two months! My In-Laws have the same and theirs hasnt been a problem (however it isnt used as much as mine.). Hopefully mine is just a Lemon! Ill never buy another one!!!!! Especially from Lowes. They deem it only a lemon if it has had the same issue for 4-5 times. That is with the extended warranty! TO THE DUMP IT GOES!

WRX735SDBM02 - I purchase this new WP refrigerator on 7/9/16 from Home Depot. It has been repaired twice already and now the front control panel is chipping and peeling away. Whirlpool says this is cosmetic. I maintain that quality construction and material do NOT simply disintegrate spontaneously. I want the control panel fixed under warranty for manufacturing defects. This NEW refrigerator cannot stay in my home looking like this, it is unacceptable to me. Their customer service refuses to do anything. This was somewhat hard to photograph due to the reflection issue.

We purchased our oven on 12/06/15. I have called and complained about the AquaLift oven on more than one occasion. This technology does not work. I would have thought that there would have FINALLY been a recall on this oven. I am a senior who thought this stove would last me for the rest of my life. I have to stand on my head to try to clean it. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER would I have purchased this if I had read any of the reviews. Buyer beware!!!

Im 70 years old and always bought Whirlpool washing machines. My last one I bought at Lowes and it is the most Ive ever paid for a washer and its the worst Ive ever owned! Dont waste your money! Hard to get clothes balanced and it slams and bams like the old 1970 washing machines! Horrible!!!

We purchased a WRF989SDAM03 model French door refrigerator in September. A month later it began to make grinding noises when running. The noises got louder until it sounded like a car idling. We called for service, and the technician diagnosed a failing compressor. They replaced the compressor with some difficulty. Three days later we lost cooling. They replaced the compressor again. Now the refrigerator cools, but it runs 100% of the time. I dont mean frequently, I mean it NEVER. SHUTS. OFF. Its never not running. Today a technician came out, and after 1.5 hrs of diagnostics on the phone with a Whirlpool engineer, theyve declared that it works. Whirlpool refuses to honor their warranty and says that because the unit cools, I should accept that it runs 100% of the time. I can get no resolution from Whirlpool.

Bought fridge in 2010, I am about to replace the icemaker for the 2nd time at a cost of over $300 each time by a Whirlpool authorized repair tech. No kids in the house and very limited use of icemaker. Motor keeps burning out because of the design flaw per the tech. Very poor design for a $1,500 fridge. Due to these issues I do not intend on purchasing Whirlpool products in the future.

Purchased Duet Washer and Dryer just over a year ago. Recently liquid detergent has been seeping into the tumbler and damaging clothes if theyre not removed immediately after wash in complete. The precision dispenser cartridge is the culprit in my opinion. Its suppose to dispense detergent as needed however it doesnt stop dispensing. Called Whirlpool and received no satisfaction. I would not recommend the Duet washer as a new purchase. I have to pay the price for Whirlpools experimental dispensing device and I dont think its fair. Its a flawed device and they should fix it.

Completely disgusted and angry with Whirlpool! We own a Cabrio and just after 1.5 years of owning it the stupid washer has broke down. It wont spin or rinse or wash! Pretty sure its the bearings as I have seen several peoples complaint about this same issue! I contacted Whirlpool to only be told that they only offer 1-year warranty and after that the consumer is out of luck. They only stand behind their products for 1 year and after that its on you! I bought Whirlpool front load washer at Sears in June 27, 2012... (serial W104408696A) (W10409178A-SP). I had 6 episodes within a 1-year time that my clothes got burn holes and the inside of the washer. I would find a handful of gray powder after doing my laundry. The first time it happened, I thought that I left something inside my clothes that resulted to it, but I did nothing to contribute to the event. The second time it happened, I thought Im putting the wrong setting, so I chose another setting to wash my clothes. In that span of 1 year it was on and off happening. I read different reviews on this washer, and I am not the only one whos had this problem. Finally in 2013, before my warranty would expire, I requested for Whirlpool to fix the problem. Right away the tech told me that the problem was the glass covering, so they replaced it. Now my washer would not drain. I believe that this product does not belong in the market. If they knew what the problem was, they should have recalled it. I kept the sample of that gray powder.

I bought my microwave on Dec. 8, 2010 and paid to have it installed. On June 29, 2011, the microwave quit heating anything up so I called Whirlpool. They sent a technician out and he repaired the magnetron. The tech said it was defective. I accepted that but then on Nov. 8, 2011, the microwave quit again, same problem. I called Whirlpool and told them I thought it was a lemon and wanted it replaced but they refused and said that they paid to have it fixed. They came out and fixed it. Same problem, the magnetron. Well, here we are another six months later, it has quit again. I have been on the phone with Whirlpool. I spoke to a lady named Barbara and she said even though its out of warranty, they would be willing to pay for the parts, not the labor. Of course, labor is more than the parts. So, I asked her whats going to happen another six months from here on. When it goes out again, she said that that was it. They werent paying for any more parts. I asked her for her supervisors number. She advised me to write a letter and someone would call me. Well, a lady named Donna did call and she told me the same thing. They would pay for parts but not labor and the offer was only good for 30 days. Also, I have the tech talk to their techs but she didnt have the number and maybe they could find the problem. Well, the problem is its defective. Thats all there is to it. We could fix it over and over again but its going to keep burning out. I told Donna surely I cant be the only one complaining about this microwave and her response was theres no recall on it. Something needs to happen. This cant be right. We spent hard-earned money on this product and shouldnt have such a problem every six months.

The shelves in the newer units are plastic not glass with metal and they rip/break holding heavy contains like gallons of milk, and they are more expensive to replace. I just wish they would go back to building things like in the old days. My last refrigerator lasted 20 years. Ive had this one a year paid twice the price and already had to replace shelves and trays for it..

We bought a washer in Sept. 2014 and it was used for 4 months before we left and went south for the winter. When we came back in May, we started hearing a loud banging noise so we notified Whirlpool since we were still under warranty. They sent a repairman and he said he needed to take the washer in so he could repair it. They have sent the part out 3 times and they said it was chipped or cracked so another would need to be sent. This has been going on for 2 months that weve been without the washer and today we checked and supposedly another part should be coming. I purchased a Whirlpool dryer Cabrio (model # WED7300XWO and serial # M03028918), which has had several issues. We had to replace the felt around the dryer tube twice, replaced the dryer tub itself twice, we had the air flow stop, and now the heat has stopped. Thank goodness I purchased an extended warranty, otherwise who knows what these repairs would have cost. I think I got a lemon. I have had multiple repairs, and days of not being able to use our dryer.

Whirlpool Auto Load Sensing - I bought the washer in Aug 2010 and it worked well until the timer went out this year. Its only 4 years old! The repairman said it would cost $350 to fix - the machine cost me $469 to begin with! Whirlpool builds a poor quality product and Id advise people not to buy their brand of anything.

I bought a Cabrio three years ago. Unless you wash everything on gentle and turn items with zipper inside out, it puts holes in everything. Then exactly one week after the warranty was up, it started giving an error code. I called the company and was told this was a common error and they would send someone to look at it for $150+. It would likely be another $300-$400 for parts and labor! I had someone else (not Whirlpool) come look at it and they said it was a bad computer that I should just replace the washer, because it would cost more than it was worth. So for two years, we have had to wait exactly 11 minutes for the washer to fault then restart it and repeat 3-6 times. It takes 2.5 hours to complete one cycle. If this is such a common error, why havent they fixed it or recalled the piece of junk?! Because they can make a lot more money this way! Three people I know have Cabrios and all have the same issue and all happened within a month of the warranty expiring. I am starting to think there is some sort of timer that makes it go bad just after the warranty expires on purpose. I will never buy another Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, or Amana (all the same company with different names).

Whirlpool Gold Series Dishwasher Model # WDT710PAYM6 - Purchased this dishwasher in July, 2014. Last week the dishwasher powered off mid cycle. Could not power back up. Tried a few suggestions found online to reset which did not work. I had both a plumber and an electrician look at it. All water lines were fine and power coming in and out of dishwasher and control panel was checked and all looked okay to electrician, but could not get the machine to power up. No longer under warranty. Very dissatisfied there is no recourse.

I am experiencing problems with keeping my pilot lit too. I checked the screen and this is not the issue. I have just returned from Lowes where I purchased the water heater and they informed me Whirlpool supplied kits for this issue and it was widespread. They mentioned a class action and went on to tell me they and all surrounding Lowes stores are out of the free kit and arent expecting anymore. Am I to feel lucky my water heater water didnt fail sooner only to feel unlucky all of the free repair kits are now gone? Lowes provided me with the Whirlpool phone number for help and they have just informed me it will cost me $35.44 plus shipping. I now see how widespread this problem is. This isnt right. I am very disappointed in the handling of this known problem! What is my next course of action?

I bought a brand new Whirlpool washer and dryer. The Whirlpool Cabrio washer does not clean my clothes no matter what size load you have. I have tried every combination possible to get my clothes clean and 95% of the time there are clothes that don’t even get wet let alone clean! I have only owned this washer since July 22, 2018 and am now willing to give it away - that’s how upset and displeased I am with it! If you read reviews, stay away from this model - not good!

Had washer for 5 months. It now has a door latch error. It has been 3 weeks and it is still not repaired. Parts take a week to 10 days to get. We are now going back and trying the original part ordered. Not sure if this will fix it this time, as it didnt the first time, but we have no choice. Whirlpool will not stand behind their product and give us a replacement and for good reason, it is obviously junk and we will have the same issues in 5 months. Calling their help line is a waste of time, they understand your frustration but do nothing to help relieve it. Their supervisors have the ability to do nothing and excel at it. Thought this was a good product when we bought it but are now suffering for this decision.

After 2-1/2 years we started having trouble with the spin cycle on our Maytag washer. We live in an area with no repairman. Whirlpool want us to pay just to talk to us. Now the timings off. It will not spin out.

I purchased this washers predecessor, the WTW6200 in May of 09, along with the matching dryer. The bearings gave out after 36 months of use, and our household comprises two adults in their mid-fifties. Estimated cost of the repair? $650! Why am I posting this here? Because two weeks ago, my daughter-in-law called to say that shed so liked my machine when she visited in 09 - Id had the thing for two weeks at that time - that shed bought the WTW8500B and... the bearings were already giving out. I suggested she get the thing repaired, sell it immediately and replace it with an LG product, which is what Ive done.She has been put on a three-month waiting list for the repair, confirming my feeling that Whirlpool, as a whole, has gone down the tubes. Their service record is dreadful, with an excess of 20K complaints existing at various consumer agencies regarding ALL the Cabrio line, and their warranty, Ive learned, is considered the worst in the industry. All in all, the single worst purchase of my fifty-odd years.

I brought a Whirlpool refrigerator on 2/15/2020, French doors. Bottom freezer. I have had issues with the bottom freezer from day 1!! Ive had gaps in the gasket seal and air was coming from the freezer. This happened 3x. Now there is a build up of frost and ice. STAY AWAY!! Ive never had any issues with Whirlpool until I purchased this updated refrigerator. I should have stuck with my regular top freezer refrigerator. No issues!!

For years, Whirlpool has had an outstanding reputation for quality, so I cannot understand why a refrigerator I have owned less than three years has to have all the shelves and bins replaced. Not the glass, just the plastic. They actually started breaking the first year. I have literally had to tape my shelves together. These are very expensive and yet they are very low quality and of course are not covered on the warranty.The plastic is not built to withstand the cold and/or weight of food products. They need to get rid of the plastic and replace it with metal. I dont want to replace them with the same low grade products. I own the model ED5JHEXTB00 serial # HRU4010107. Also, the ice maker has been replaced twice. What has happened to Whirlpool

This is my second water heater in three years. The problem is the thermocouple thermostat. Also, when I drain the water, it comes out of the heater black because of the corrosion in side. I spoke to people in the company, and they were nasty to me. This happened to my two heaters in 2 1/2 years. Please, do not buy a Whirlpool heater.

The space could be laid out a little better. The flimsy shelf is not real stable for foods or ice tray. Where the shelf locks into the side wall is not deep enough to stabilize the shelf itself. The flat indentations in the bottom, where they meet the front, have an edge that makes properly cleaning the freezer a bit difficult.

Purchased a new oven 06/2016- today, I had Sears come and look at the issue. Need a new Control Board/ $750.00. Called Whirlpool, they will not help, or give me an explanation of why this expense is justified. Very dissatisfied with product; will not recommend, nor purchase again.

Have read several reviews on Whirlpool refrigerator. Short and sick. I had my refrigerator less than a month. Broke down, been getting NO satisfaction from Whirlpool whatsoever. I WILL NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES AGAIN. Service is terrible. Months have gone by, and its still sitting in my kitchen broken. They are taking their sweet time fixing it. Garbage. DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL, save yourself the hassles.

Our Whirlpool Duet Washer pair is 2.5 yrs old. The washer didnt work at first, but a repairman found the problem and fixed it right up. They have not broken. The dryer has been fine and we have had them stacked for most of the time without any issues. My problem sounds minor compared to those others listed here, but this thing is ruining all our white or light colored clothes. They go in white, and come out covered with splotchy, dirty looking spots literally all over them! They werent that kind of dirty when they went in. It’s the oddest thing, like it makes dirt. Reading some of these concerns makes me wonder if it has a mold problem inside somewhere, and that is what is ruining our clothes. Tax return is coming and it is going. End of story.

I would like to invite everyone on here to join me in a moment of silence. My Cabrio has died after a little over 2 years of pure torture that I purchased for $1000 from Lowes. I have had nothing but problems since the day I bought this washer. I think Whirlpool needs to step up to the plate and take responsibility for the mistakes they have made. I will never purchase another product that is in anyway associated with the Whirlpool company. I wish I had my little washer that only needed a new switch back. I guess I am off to find a replacement for this $1000 mistake that I made. If I had the resources, I would file a lawsuit against Whirlpool myself.

I bought a Whirlpool water heater 5 years ago and after one year I had to replace the thermocouple every 3 months. Each time I call to complain, they would just send me a new thermocouple. I asked them several times to replace the item and they refused and just continued to send me replacement parts and refuse to honor their warranty. The water heater had some type of defect, but they still refuse to replace the item and did admit on the phone they have records of several parts that they sent.

I wish I had purchased this a week before I decided to become an owner of a portable AC unit. This unit cools my 390sq ft living room with ease, paired with a large 3 speed stand-alone fan, the adjacent rooms feel the coolness as well. I plan on purchasing another uni, with a lower SQ rating as to have for the master bedroom. Easy to install, move and drain when the time calls for it. Not too loud, not too big, not ugly and I would purchase this unit again.

Whirlpool gold series bottom freezer unit - We have had numerous problems with this refrigerator. We have had several repairs done on it and have still not solved the problem. The defroster does not work right and we have to unplug it so it will unthaw, then the refrigerator gets cold again. The freezer when it is acting up freezes food and ice cream so hard it is inedible. We have just purchased a different refrigerator. This Whirlpool model has also been discontinued from what I can find. No doubt because of a design flaw. Why are they not responsible for this? We bought this appliance in good faith.

Was told everyone was having problems...so sent us a brand new fridge...happy!! Little over a year later started having problems with this one and was told no warranty, didnt transfer to new fridge and no one offered to sell us a new one at the time, so repairs were out of our pocket. Had new condenser installed, still no ice, had circuit board installed, got ice but refrigerator section isnt cooling after almost $700 out of pocket...dont waste your money on a Whirlpool. So disappointed.

Purchased above refrigerator (WRF736SDAM13) over a year ago and it has been nothing but trouble. Ive had service companies out 6 different times. The doors never lined up or closed properly from day one. The final and last attempt to fix was putting caulk in the seal of the doors!! Left door does not seal properly and moisture builds up on inside. I requested several times for a new one and Whirlpool refused. Also purchased microwave, stove and dishwasher. Microwave went out 6 months after using it. They had to replace a major part. At least they did this at no charge. Just the hassle of having to be home 2 times to meet service tech. WILL NEVER purchase Whirlpool appliances again. Ive been using them for in all my homes in the past. STAY AWAY from this model.

My refrigerator was purchased in May 2014, and died in August 2015. Before it died, it produced a very loud, rattling noise for two days. Thus, the refrigerator cost me $100/month. It does seem, upon reflection, I would have been better off buying a piece of junk for $50. It would have lasted longer. Additionally, the so-called stainless steel started rusting all over the front surface, first popping up in one spot, then another. One year old, rusty and dead. Great job Whirlpool. Buy American.

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer combo with max load capacity for comforters. This is the biggest set of junk ever. Where to start? There are so many issues, starting with the fact that nothing comes clean, no matter if I even put one small item in it at a time! The fabric softener dispenser is a joke. It runs straight through into your unwashed clothes before the cycle even begins. The dryer never gets the clothes dry on the first cycle. I find that I will rewash the same load of laundry 2 or 3 times and still not be clean and then dry same load 2 or 3 times. I wish Whirlpool had these shoved up their **! Never again will I buy anything by Whirlpool!

We got a brand new bottom freezer french door Whirlpool refrigerator in our brand new apartment. Since we moved in last week the temperature control in the refrigerator box has failed three times. The freezer stays cold but the coils are frosted solid and no cooling gets up to the refrigerator box. We turned on moisture control but that didnt help. The users manual is completely useless and in fact doesnt even match the control panel. The numbers for temperature settings on the instructions dont match the numbers on the panel.We had to turn off and thaw out the unit completely three times already and this is just the first week! Last night the building maintenance guys came in and sprayed the back panel of the freezer with warm water. He said he talked to the GE tech, who suggested we also increase the freezer temperature settings to 4 and the refrigerator to 44. But this morning the temperature rose again. It sure sounds to me like the daily defrost cycle isnt running at all and nobody wants to consider that possibility. Thaw the unit several times a week is completely ridiculous. Our food has experienced so many temperature excursions who knows whether its any good now. I cant wait to get my first taste of salmonella. This is what you get when you combine junk with poor service.

Purchased washer and dryer in 2013. After several months I noticed small holes in my clothing. I called for service since my machines were still under warranty. There was nothing the repair service could do except make suggestions on water amount and settings. Which I tried with no improvement. I also contacted Whirlpool and was told I could call for service for several weeks since it was still under warranty. I asked why call for service when I was told it could not be fixed. I did have it serviced again and told it was a problem with the design. Numerous items of clothing were ruined which I showed the technician. He gave me a phone number to contact Whirlpool. They in turn said there was nothing they could do for me. I usually place items in laundry bags for delicate fabrics but for obvious reasons not all items fit in a bag. I have never had such terrible service nor experienced an appliance that operates so poorly. I am surprised there are not more complaints with this problem. Purchased from ABT because of their reputation for customer service.

I just bought a Whirlpool Duet Front Loader, and it vibrates excessively and wont fully rinse out all of the detergent. I have to take the tray out each time and rinse. Also, it has a musty smell.Whirlpool sent a repairman out to replace the shocks on a washer that is less than 2 months old. The repairman told me to use less detergent, but I am only using a teaspoon of powder detergent which is recommended and using Affresh once a month. There is nothing they can do about it till it is deemed unrepairable.

I bought my new ceramic top electric range/oven with convection, and the aqua-lift cleaning system in spring 2017. The aqualift cleaning function is a joke, so be prepared to be down on your hands and knees scrubbing. Im careful, and Ive not spilled anything yet, but the oven still gets splatters from roasting meats, etc. Id hate to see what Ill have to deal with when I actually let something spill. Today, as I was down on my hands and knees trying to clean it, I noticed that the enamel is chipping off where the oven racks slide in. Great. I have never had an oven where the enamel came off, much less within a year. I am struggling with heart failure, and I am not up to fighting with Whirlpool.

We bought our Whirlpool washer (WTW5700XWO) in April 2011. This machine has so many issues. Lets start with it not getting our clothes clean. Some clothes never even get wet. Then on the other hand, there are times when the clothes come out soaking wet, like it never went through the spin cycle. (We know it did because its super loud!) Recently, it started shutting off during the wash cycle. Sometimes, it doesnt release the soap or the fabric softener. I am so frustrated with this machine. There should be a recall. We paid $700 and now well need to go and shell out more of our hard earned money to buy something that actually works. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance.

Our Whirlpool Duet front loader washer developed a mildew smell and started making a horrible banging noise on the spin cycle. We had a service man come out and the concrete weight had broken in half. He said this was not uncommon. I just did a Google search and apparently this is a true factory defect. Luckily we had purchased an extended warranty. I always thought Whirlpool was a premium brand but after this experience I will never buy another washer from them. They should do a product recall.

The refrigerator is not repairable according to 2 different servicemen. The refrigerator just stopped making ice and not cooling all of a sudden. The problem seems to be inside the panel between the refrigerator and freezer portion. Its a side by side. First time I ever bought Whirlpool Appliances. Yes, Whirlpool makes Maytag, Im still paying for this junk. Too much to go into detail. I had to bypass the crummy fuse system in the Bravo dryer and hook up my own 15amp automotive fuse in the dryer to keep it working. This after two lame under-contract Maytag repairmen replaced the dreaded board, which did nothing. The washer goes cabunk, cabunk, cabunk throughout the house and shuts down with an unlevel code (no matter how level the load is) every time it does its load during the spin cycle. The dishwasher handle broke off and had to use a screwdriver to pry the handle latch open, until realized it doesnt even lock anyway and just pulled the door open. Now, the dishwasher has this noise problem which means they designed it to allow pieces of debris to escape past the trap like my other dishwasher had that was easy to remove and clean. Do not, I repeat, do not pay the $3,500+ I paid for this junk. Go buy a Kenmore thats 15 years old off of Craigslist! Youll be better off and it will last longer.

Tried to do a small 2x3 bathroom rug and the spin was thrown off kilter. I have been doing laundry a long time and I know how to evenly distribute clothes etc so the washer should be able to handle it for the price I paid. The high end front loading Whirlpool set.

We purchased a brand new Whirlpool fridge & electric range. Tried the oven on 3/22/14. Turned it on at 350 for 30 minutes. Waited for the new smell to go away. Then turned the temp up to 375. My husband put a frozen lasagna dinner in. 25 minutes later the inside oven door window exploded into the oven and the dinner. Found out the outside window usually explodes. We were lucky. The dealer we bought it from let us exchange it right away. Filed a report with the CSPC and am trying to find out how to file a complaint with Whirlpool.

Mold in my dishwasher right after having washed the dishes!! This is the first time I have seen the mold on the racks (lots of it!). However, my neighbor also has a Whirlpool and complains of the mold all the time. Also, my dishes often do not come clean. Not long after the warranty expired the main bearing failed, bringing a local service technician and we were left with a bill of over $300.00. Yesterday, the machine stopped in mid-cycle. The display went blank and the lid lock would not release. I called a local service company for a visit and the soonest a repairman could show up was next week.A call to a service we had used for the bearing surmised that without knowing the cause of the failure they could only guess that a circuit board was at fault. That visit would be over $300.00 with labor and materials. That was the last straw. We broke the lid lock to retrieve the contents and took a ride to buy another brand of washer. We went back to the appliance store where we purchased this machine to buy a Samsung front loader. The salesman apologized for selling the Cabrio in the first place. Good money after a bad product.

My Whirlpool washer broke down on July 06, 2014. I contacted the local supplier (Unicomer Trinidad) on July 07, 2014. Their technician came on July 10, 2014. He said that he will have to check and see if they have the part that is needed to repair the machine, they will contact me the next day. No one contacted me. I called on July 14, 2014. I was told that they do not have the part and it has to be order. It will take about 2 weeks for it to reach them, no one contacted me since. I contacted them (Unicomer Trinidad) on August 04, 2014. I was told that they do not have the part and it will take 2-3 weeks to reach them. I did filled out a form on the Whirlpool support site about 2 weeks ago but no one contacted me. I contacting Whirlpool US HQ by telephone, they gave me a number for Whirlpool Florida. I was told that they are responsible for my area but when I try calling the number, it was out of service. When I contacted back Whirlpool US HQ, I was told that they cannot help me check the website for the local representative which I could not find. This washing machine is 10 months old plus I took the extended warranty. It is a Duet WFW94HEXL2 washer.

We bought this 26 cu ft fridge from Nebraska Furniture Mart in April 2017. In November stopped making ice. Was repaired. Now it’s not working again. Multiple enquirers shows this is a common problem with this fridges. I’m debating whether it’s worth the effort to repair it or just put in junkyard. WORTHLESS piece of shiny metal.

We got a DEAL for this nightmare for nearly $700 back in 2014. Nothing but problems. Constantly finding plastic pieces at the bottom... some identifiable; others not. They are from the cheap parts within. The control board lights (all but 1 works) went just after the 1 yr mark. We are now having to replace the top Rack Adjuster (MORE CHEAP PLASTIC), as it has been barely hanging on for the last year and a half... constantly fighting it, as it would drop all the dishes if you moved it wrong.Now, the water is not draining at all... period. We clean this religiously - always rinse dishes completely, use rinse aid, never stuff dishes. Today we find a random plastic piece, which we are now trying to identify. NOTE: we dont put plastics in the dishwasher. So, today a new plastic piece and major drain problems. We are in the market and purchasing a new French Door Refrigerator and Front Load Washer. Will NOT be going with anything Whirlpool. Not much better these days, but this name has a big RED NO for us. Made it even worse when we contacted for help after that 1 yr mark. NO HELP AT ALL.

Whirlpool side by side model WR5571CIDM. Unit rattles EVERY time refrigerator is opened or closed + plus every hour or so spontaneously. Rattle seems to come from the water filter area. Whirlpool serviceman says its normal for this model and calls to Whirlpool customer service say just live with it. Hard to believe Whirlpool considers this acceptable performance in a new model.

Never worked proper form the start, always condensation, bottom froze and top unthawed and vice versa. No help from store or company. During any temp change the fresh food would freeze and top unfreeze and no matter how long you waited and changed settings. Junk.

I absolutely hate my Whirlpool refrigerator! The first day I had it, the cover to the deli drawer fell off and cracked because it wouldnt stay on. I called the company and they sent me a new one but it immediately fell off and broke also. It is just a terrible design. The plastic slots dont fit correctly and it just doesnt stay on.Then, a few months after owning the fridge, I notice rust spots on the bottom drawer. I called the company and a rep told me to buy dishwasher cleaner and a magic eraser and use that to scrub the rust off. She insisted that it must be near humidity. I explained that my GE stove and dishwasher, along with other stainless steel in my kitchen have never rusted. The Whirlpool company provided no help whatsoever and does not back up their warranty. I would never purchase another Whirlpool appliance after this experience. Now I am stuck with a fridge that has rust stains and a broken door.

I bought Whirlpool gas water heater on July 2009. It keeps going out. It is not working. I found out you cant even get parts for fixing it. The dealers told me its junk. I was told to buy a new one. Then, I found out its been in class action lawsuit. How did I get to buy it after it was recalled? I dont know what to do.

This washer started out to be good. Its only 5 yrs old. We began to smell an odor. Went to Lowes, spoke with someone in appliance dept. Purchased something for washer. DID NOT WORK. We have tried bleach everything. Our clothes smell. I have skin rashes and I think it is related to mold and mildew. Called the service center. They said could be a sock stuck around the tub area. They need to recall this washer. We spent a lot of money and it has ruined everything. Cannot get the odor out. We cannot afford another one. There is black mold around the rubber lining when you open up the door.

I purchased this Whirlpool Gold dishwasher a year and half ago, and it needs repair to the tune of $300.00. The drain pump broke and need to have it repaired. If this was the only Whirlpool appliance that went bad, I wouldnt even write a review, but two months ago my Whirlpool refrigerator, one year and 4 months ago, the ice maker stopped working, another $300.00. I purchased a new Whirlpool washer and dryer (model number WED9250WR0 #WFW9250WR00). The washer broke after about 2 months. They took my washer and gave me some off brand one, because I purchased a 5 year extended warranty. They kept my washer for over 3 months, saying that the manufacturer takes that long to get the parts in. Its ridiculous! The tub, seal, and some other parts had to be replaced. It was shredding my clothing and my bedding. The first time they fixed it, a couple days later, it started making a horrible noise. The repairman came out, and a part had fallen off inside, so he put it back on. It kept happening, so I called them back, and he taped the part on!About 2 months later, the seal started shredding, and so did my clothing. I called again, and they had to replace the seal again. It still sounds off balance, and they said that was normal, because of the give in the floor. The day they fixed the seal, I washed a childs sleeping bag, and it shredded it too! I called again, and they refused to replace it, and they want to come and look at it again. My dryer lint trap seal also keeps coming apart, and I have gone through 3 of those in less than 8 months. They said they are just made poorly, so it will keep happening. I just want my money back, and buy a different washer and dryer somewhere else. I had an old pair that I bought, used, and they lasted me 5 years with less problems than these that I paid two grand for.

I do like my Whirlpool refrigerator, but it started to not cool things anymore. I had to get it fixed. The professional I had come out to fix it said that these particular Whirlpool models didnt have a specific part they they needed. It also got built up with ice that needed to be broken down. Overall, I wouldnt buy this model again, but that doesnt mean that all Whirlpool refrigerators are bad. Just this particular model.

This is an AMAZING dryer. Probably the best I've ever used. My husband & I live in a mobile home so our main reason for purchase is the fact it is VENTLESS & it's compact. The dryer is so quiet. You can hardly hear it with a tv going. It doesn't take any more time to dry than another modern dryer. The end result are damp clothes, however there is enough steam and heat left in the bin at the end of the cycle to where if you fluff the clothes they'll be dry in a matter of seconds. The dryer acts as a dehumidifier by capturing moisture from the air it uses. All the features are up to date and easy to figure out. It's worked extremely well since we've had it and I'm happy to say we LOVE IT!

Whirlpool water heater FG1F5040T3NOV - I noticed that when I was taking a shower, my hot water wasnt working. I went downstairs and the pilot light on my water heater wasnt on. I tried to restart it. The pilot light wouldnt work or relight. I gave up and contacted a plumber. I dont feel I should have to pay for a plumber when its a product flaw!

Purchased Whirlpool side by side French door with bottom freeze on 2-18-13. After several repair calls it was replaced with new one on 7-09-13. Problems began almost immediately with water dripping inside door, resting of doors, and finally the freezer stopped working and the appliance would not shut off. Pm 3-14-15 a new compressor was installed. Two months later, the same issues are occurring. Freezer not working, and not shutting off. Waiting for a resolution. Would never buy another Whirlpool appliance.

LED Freezer Lamp stopped after eight months, $14, not covered under warranty. OEM water filters are costly. Icemaker is noisy, ice dispenser chute clogs. When refrigerator was set at 38-40 degrees the eggs and most top and middle shelf items partially froze. Noisy compressor. Good price from Home Depot sale in Nov. 2019.

I purchased my range, model #WEG730H0DW0 in April 2016. I am extremely dissatisfied with the product and the Whirlpool service. I guess its comforting to know that Im not alone. Ive had two problems so far. The first is with the broiler that clicks on and off. It took several visits and a new electrical board for the service person and me to figure out that the door has to be closed to broil. Not sure about all of you but I am used to keeping the door cracked open to be able to keep an eye on the food being broiled. Apparently there is a thermostat at the front of the oven designed to keep the electrical controls from getting overheated or from melting so when the door is cracked open the heat from the broiler hits that thermostat and the broiler is shut off.The people at Whirlpool are awful and rude. I made so many calls and described the problem in so many ways and not one person knew about this newly placed thermostat or thought to ask about keeping the door closed. It took me and my service tech over an hour of troubleshooting on his SECOND visit to figure it out. He looked up the specs and we figured it out. I wonder how many new electrical boards have been replaced when the solution is as simple as keeping the door closed. A stupid design. Also having the same problems with the knobs. They turn so easily that twice I have smelled gas and realized one of the knobs was turned ever so slightly (before the clicking sound to ignite the stove).Then the third time could have been deadly. I had friends come pick me up and we stood in the kitchen for a bit before we left for the entire day. When we returned the whole house smelled of gas. Someone inadvertently must have brushed up against the stove and the knob turned. My dog, thankfully is still alive and so are we. THIS IS NOT ONLY A STUPID DESIGN BUT A POTENTIALLY DEADLY ONE!! I am forwarding this message directly to Whirlpool in the hopes of getting my money back. I am replacing the range immediately and will never purchase a Whirlpool product again!

I am very unhappy with this Whirlpool refrigerator model# GX5FHDXVQ 04. I bought this model in October 2011. You have to push the left door to close it and if you dont then the fridge will stay open. I had a Whirlpool tech come to fix this door problem so this is what he told me: 1) You have to push the door in order to close it properly; 2) Before closing the left door, I should first open the right door (losing energy); 3) The gasket will break very fast; 4) Buy a three-year protection plan because you will have to use it; 5) The freezer is very uncomfortable. In the bottom drawer, you have to fit your stuff. If you put your freezer stuff in a drop higher, then you cant close the drawer, so I am losing space; 6) Sometimes when I fill up the fridge, I move the temperature to #5. After a day, the top shelf back stuff will freeze and the front stuff will stay on fridge temperature. Yesterday, 4-18-2012, for the second time, the freezer gets a sheet of ice. Repairman will repair it but who knows. This fridge looks to me like a lemon. The height is 70 but listed as. I rate this fridge with a CCC.

I earlier filed a complaint about the Whirlpool Gold microwave arcing within a minute of cooking frozen green beans and causing burn holes in the food. We contacted Whirlpool’s customer service and were told that the machine was no longer under warranty, but we could have it serviced, repaired and have an additional year of warranty for $259. We took a pass on that. Further trial and error along with research helped us come to the realization that the arcing was caused by the high mineral content of the green beans. Whirlpool did not tell us this, but we found the information provided by others. We no longer cook the particular brand of green beans which seem to cause this event. The microwave is no longer arcing. You would think Whirlpool might be aware of this.

Purchased a Whirlpool French Door Refrig. Model #WRF 954CIHZ200 in 11/21/2017 from Best Buy for $2300.00 on sale. Within the 1st year the Ice Maker broke & repairman said the ill design caused the wire to break. He had replaced numerous ones for the same reason. In the 2nd yr the freezer started frosting. Next thing the freezer quit. Next day refrig quit working. Called Whirlpool, said, So sorry. We will send you a $50.00 Visa gift card. That was to cover $200.00 of just bought groceries. Called repair guy & he diagnoses compressor was bad. (IN A LESS THAN 2 YR OLD REFRIG. THAT COST $2300.00????)Now, we are 28 day w/o refrig. Living with a Igloo cooler. Whirlpool says they have no stock left on compressors for our refrig. (probably because there are so many going bad in their refrigerators). They are trying to locate one somewhere in US so that takes 6 days then they have to ship to repair center then they have to schedule us for repair which will probably be another 7 days. Ghee, what a mess! Dont do it folks! Buy a LG or Samsung! If I had it to do again, thats what I would do! Whirlpool is Not what they use to be when I trusted them. Years ago. P.S. I bought microwave, stove, & dishwasher! They are all unsatisfactory! Never again!???

I have bought what I thought my dream washer and would never need to buy another one. I told people about it and could have sold many of them. That was in my first year. Now I am into our second year with them and it quits. It cost right at 500.00 and when I called Sears, the company I bought it from, they charged me a service call and says it will be $585.00 to fix. WHAT? This is a lemon. If I were to buy a car and have this sort of problem they would warranty it. Why not appliances? This is an outrage. This should be illegal to sell.

I am getting numerous F1 codes on my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine, Model #WTW6600SW2. By doing thorough research on this issue I can see the problem is in a known defective control board (part #W10130544). This part has even been replaced by Whirlpool with a new control board costing around $300 for just the part. After calling for repair service, two people (1 agent and 1 supervisor) refused to acknowledge any known issues with this part and further refused to any type of repair or replacement of the part. It is impossible for anyone in that position to not have knowledge of this problem. Simply look on the internet for a countless number of people with this very same complaint. Even though my washer is eight years old it has had very little use. There are only two grown adults in this household and the machine has never been abused or overused. It still looks new. Whirlpool should be honest and responsible when dealing with this type of problem. They should agree to pay for the part and repair service... at the very least they should agree to pay for the part.

I purchased a Whirlpool 3-door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom on 8/17/12. Within 4 days, the ice maker stopped working. It took two days for the repairman to come out and fix it. So all is well with that. Less than 2 weeks later, the refrigerator isnt cooling. Several days later, the repairman came and determined it was the evaporator fan motor and clutch. The parts were back-ordered for 10 days. Parts came in 2 more days before he can come out and install them. He realized they sent the wrong parts. Another week went by, then he came and replaced the fan motor, which is now making an ear-piercing buzzing sound. He came back a week later and said it needed a gasket, which is back-ordered. In the meantime, he put some stick on insulation around the unit. Not much help. Another week went by, and the gasket showed up. It is still making a high-pitched whining sound. He said it was the compressor. Whatever! I hate the refrigerator. The sound is one that just grates on your nerves and you can hear it in all the rooms surrounding the kitchen! A repairman has to deem it unrepairable before they will even consider replacing it. They consider it fixed. What about my bleeding ears! I just want it gone! I am so disappointed. I thought Whirlpool was a good product with a solid reputation. I have a $2300 noise maker! Is there a class action lawsuit?!
