I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine (new) in 2004. From the beginning, I had problems with the spin cycle. I phoned Whirlpool. I paid for service with no reimbursement. With the costs I have had for service, I could have purchased 2 machines. I have had to go to Laundromat to do wash then come home to dry. I have for 30 years only purchased Whirlpool large appliance. My washer and dryer were always refurbished but they were Whirlpool. I have had a (refurbished) Whirlpool dryer since 1997 with one (1) service call. However, this wash machine, purchased new, has been a money pit and a piece of trash with Whirlpool only giving lip service when calling. Also, going to the Laundromat, I have been amazed at how many individuals I speak with are there doing wash because their Whirlpool washer, mostly even newer models than mine, do not work! And they have the same story. There’s no service when you call. Shameful Whirlpool! Buy your parts from us. Maybe your credibility could be restored. But I will never purchase your Whirlpool or other names under Whirlpool! When I do get another washer, yours will be put on my front lawn with a large sign of your disgraceful products and service!

Whirlpool side by side. When the compressor cycles, there is a loud knocking noise. Called Whirlpool when under warranty with no results. They could not tell me the cause of the knocking. Sort of live with it attitude. The funny part is when we have someone visiting and the knocking starts, they are puzzled as to why we are not answering the door. Sounds like someone knocking on the front door. We have been whirlpool customers for 30 years. Probably will not be so in the future. Too bad that a great company has go the way of the Nash and Studebaker automobile.

We bought a new oven/range in April 2019. December 7th 2019 it stopped working. No power at all. We contacted Whirlpool about our unit as it was still under the year warranty. They contacted their local repair company. 3 times they have said they were coming out to fix it and they had the part. Three times they have told us never mind. They didnt have the part and would have to come later. Most recent update, they wont get the part until the 20th and wont make it out until the 23rd. That is over 2 weeks after our unit broke and it is the holidays and we will have family visiting. We have tried to get answers about what is really going on and we keep being told they cant help us or give us any answers. So frustrated. You can bet I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again!

The first washing machine I bought was a Cabrio. Started having problems right off. After the repair people had been there several times we finally got Whirlpool to replace the machine. We got another washing machine. We bought two warranties because it kept tearing up. Repair people said this time it would take $1500 to fix it so of course AIG said, We will not pay this much. So I have a washing machine I have spent $1600 on and it leaves, greasy spots all over my clothes. So fed up with Whirlpools trash!!

WRF989SDAW02 - Oct 2013 1st refrig delivered. After 4 repairs within 6 months, Whirlpool put in a request to the Exchange Review Board to replace. New refrigerator (same model though) was delivered May 19, 2014. 4 repairs later for the exact same thing with the 1st refrigerator, it was again sent to Exchange Review Board to replace. New delivery was set for July 30, 2014. When delivery company arrived at my house with new refrig, I was told it was smashed on both sides. They would take care of contacting Whirlpool and schedule a new delivery date. From July 30, 2014 to present I still have no refrigerator from Whirlpool. I have 15 documented phone calls to Whirlpool or JB Hunt (delivery company).

I purchased 5 Whirlpool appliances when I remodelled my kitchen and am extremely disappointed with the quality and ability of them. The self-cleaning range (this phrase is a joke) has proven to be useless. I followed the cleaning direction according to the manufacturers direction even using the distilled water as indicated. The AquaLift self-clean did not clean the oven at all. It looks like I never turned the self-clean on. I gave up a great working GE self-cleaning oven that actually did clean itself. If I could afford to change this product for another brand I would do it in a heartbeat.

We bought our Terrorpool Whirlpool refrigerator in 2006. We have had problems with the ice dispenser, bad motor replacement, and now we have cracks all down the right inside wall. I had bought an extended warranty of four years at the time of purchase which covered the cost of the previous problems. But it has now expired, and I was told it would be my expense for repair. What happened to reliable appliances that our parents and grandparents had? What happened to the name Whirlpool? I will never buy a Whirlpool product again, not to mention the customer service (which I wont mention). If you have model # ED5PHEXRQ00, please write about any problems you have had and help someone else not make the same mistake.

3/16/2019 washed a load of bed sheets, on the white clothes cycle, put the wash in at 9:21am. Left the house at 12:41pm. Wash still not finished! It was finished by the time I arrived back home, I was gone about 11/2 hrs. I have yet to complete a wash cycle in less than 1hr 15mins. I hate that I have no control over water level, that I have to put detergent in the bottom of the tub, and the damn lid locks! My clothes dont feel clean. Why does big brother get to decide how my wash should be done, when they dont pay my water or electric bills?

We got a french door Whirlpool refrigerator about 15 months ago. Model Wrf757sdem01. There were problems from day one. Serviced about 6 times by 3 different companies... Died again less than 2 weeks ago. Finally the store decided to replace it. Was under an extended warranty. We have been without a fridge for over 10 days. It has caused multiple problems for us as we are out in the country. We have to haul ice to 4 coolers... Wait on the new one (a Whirlpool). Plumber had to be called in and he has had 3 of this same model replaced! Years ago you could trust Whirlpool. Now apparently not. I hope we do not have to regret our replacement one which still is not installed! By the way the water filters have to be replaced to the tune of 100.00 a year. We are not going to use an icemaker or get water from the new one.

Whirlpool Quiet Partner II Model # DU1055XTUS1 - We bought the dishwasher in Aug 2010 and after the 2nd yr, it started to occasionally shut off by itself in early cycle. After 3 yrs, it now shuts off repeatedly... needs to be restarted at least 15 times. It use to shut down early in the cycle. Now it shuts off whenever. I should have read the reviews on this dishwasher before buying but it was on sale for such a good price. I guess I got what I paid for. Just keep in mind that Whirlpool dishwasher seem to last only 3 years. I guess thats also why their warranty for electrical parts is one of the worst compared to other brands.

Whirlpool gas range Model WFG5245LAB2 has serious flaws that are a danger. I noticed the handles to turn on the burners seem sloppy. So sloppy in fact that just brushing up against the knobs will turn the gas on. This happened when I had someone visiting and we returned you could smell gas in the house. We were none the worse since we were out however my 3 cats were in the house the entire time. Tonight I removed the large grates that go over the burners to clean the porcelain. Once again I brushed up against the handle and the back burner ignited causing me to burn my hand. This stove is a danger to all.

I purchased this Whirlpool washer (model WTW7600XW2) on October 2011. Fabric softener dispenser is full of water at end of cycle. Repairman has replaced parts three times, but the problem is still not corrected. Today, I talked with a Whirlpool supervisor. She says this is normal. She told me to take the cup out and empty it. The cup is not removable, so she said I could blot it out with a cloth or sponge. I paid $800.00 for a washer with an automatic fabric dispenser that I must empty manually. I have used whirlpool appliances for 50 years of marriage, but this is my last one. I am very disappointed with customer service.

My dog is afraid to be anywhere near my Whirlpool side by side fridge. It makes horrible noises every 15 minutes to half an hour. I have to coax her to even let me escort her past. It has been snap crackling pop for several weeks and is getting louder with thumps and clangs. It does sound like the devil inside. Appears to be coming from the freezer side.I do not have the ice maker hooked up . It is plumbed for an ice maker but the servicemen who delivered it advised me they didnt do that . I didnt have the money to hire a plumber. The fridge was a PG& Energy Partners project in which those of certain age and income levels were presented new energy savers in exchange for old ones.Wish Id have kept the old one, especially after reading comments here. A senior, I live by myself in a fairly isolated area. I wonder now if the noise means a fire or electrical problem is imminent. My model number: ED2KVE*V*O, ED2FHE*V*O*

This microwave usually has great reviews but I think I just got a dud. I purchased this model (WMH53520CS-0) as part of my new home build. After 9 months the door sensor broke and anytime we would go to run the microwave, it would tell you to open/close the door. Whirlpool sent out a certified factory dealer to fix the problem. They found it to be a faulty control panel and replaced it. After that was replaced, the exhaust fan broke. Whirlpool sent out that dealer again with the new part, and everything was working perfectly. Flash forward a whole 24 hours later, and the microwave would make the loudest sound ever and shut off after 3 seconds and blow the fuse. Turns out the turntable motor had broke and the NEW control panel was already faulty. The turntable motor part was on back order for a month and I am still currently waiting for it to be shipped to me while I have a microwave shut off collecting dust. As most anyone would be, I was extremely frustrated knowing that Whirlpool has spent at least 4 times more sending out certified dealers and replacing parts, than if they were to just order me a new microwave. They stood firm on their policy even if it meant a customer without a working microwave for over a month. Whirlpool did offer me a nice $75 debit card that took 4 weeks to arrive to help pay for a temporary microwave, but they would not work with me when I asked for the warranty to be extended 3 or 6 months. I wanted that peace of mind and its frustrating that for 2 of my 12 month warranty, the microwave was completely broken.Overall, its a nice microwave when its working but with all I have had to go through, I wouldnt recommend this model nor any Whirlpool appliances...

I bought a brand new Whirlpool fridge early June with the extended warranty to have it shipped on my moving day on June 18. The team delivered and installed the fridge and told me to wait 3 hours before plugging it. I went and spent over 300$ in groceries only to find out the fridge does not work. I waited 24 hours, still not working. I had to wait until Monday to call the customer service because it is closed on weekends. I had to throw out all my food and order food all weekend which incurred an extra 200$. I called Whirlpool on Monday and was told a technician would only come on June 30th. 8 DAYS LATER!!!!I did some research and found a certified whirlpool technician myself who was able to come the next day only to find out the fridge has no gas and this is an assembly defect - WHIRLPOOLS FAULT. Whirlpool would have to send me a brand new fridge (These fridges are NOT TESTED?!). I was asked to call to arrange the exchange, I asked for compensation as I have already spent over 500$ and now would have to wait another week with no fridge and they refused to compensate....They told me I would get a call in the next 48 hours to let me know when I would get the new fridge and 3rd day later, still no call.I received a call on Friday to tell me they approved the exchange...Really now and would have to wait another week. That is over 2 weeks with no fridge, I sent a private message last week to Whirlpool, no answer, I spoke to customer service twice, they cant help me and do not want to compensate me. I have never been so frustrated and mistreated by a supposedly « reputable » company? WORST PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!

This is a horrible washing machine. All the clothes (and I mean small loads, medium loads, large loads) come out twisted and so wrinkled. I have never seen anything like it. I dont machine dry many items and so everything not dried that way has to be ironed. Also, there is white residue of some kind left on the clothes so the extra rinse must be used. How is that energy and water-saver sufficient? Again, the government EPA in its brilliance has screwed up another product. It also takes much longer to wash clothes, again, energy efficient? After reading the wasted time on other reviews of talking to Whirlpool, I didnt even bother contacting them. HE front loaders (which we had a Samsung that lasted 1 1/2 years before breaking down) and replaced by this top loading HE, are the worst. Give me back my old fashioned washer.

Whirlpool Gold GC3SHAXVBOO - Two issues in two years. We purchased this refrigerator online through Whirlpool in April 2010. Almost a year later, a circuit board went. This was repaired under warranty. Our refrigerator was making loud cycling noises and we were told this was normal. Now a year later, again we have an issue. This time its the compressor. We called customer service and were told there is nothing they can do. The cost to fix approximately is $700. This is very upsetting to buy a $2000 refrigerator and have two major issues within two years and then not have the company stand by their product. I would wonder how many other people have this model and have these issues as it seems like a lot. Whirlpool customer service is terrible, non-caring and offered no assistance.

Purchased this Dishwasher on Feb. 28, 2015. In June 2016 about a 2 by 3 inch section of the enamel face on the door rusted and fell off above the air vent. After three hours of hold time between Lowes (with the extended warranty) and Whirlpool (their warranty department) it was determined that this was not covered by either warranty as it was beyond the date of the 1-year mfg warranty and was not covered by the extended warranty (it was only a cosmetic issue). As these calls took place over a matter of 2 days, it was interesting that between day 1 and day 2, Whirlpool had issued a statement that no rust repairs would be covered under any warranty repair - regardless, unless it affects the functionality of the dishwasher. In other words, they KNOW this is an issue with this model and are doing nothing to fix the problem. I must say that the folks at Lowes were most helpful; cannot say the same for the folks at Whirlpool. I do not think I will trust their products again.

Very disheartening to know that an established company such as Whirlpool does not stand behind their products or acknowledge known product defects. Based on the quantity of complaints logged on this site alone, Id think a recall would be required. Identical to other consumer posts within, we purchased the Cabrio Platinum washer/dryer set (WTW8000BW0). Exactly 24 months to the purchase date, jet planes began flying through our home with the noise concentrated in the laundry room. The dryer has been fine; however, the washer is a whole other issue. The bearings are shot (as many users have cited) and the noise is deafening... even with the laundry door closed, TV on high, dogs barking and flurry of activity in the kitchen! We made a switch to the Whirlpool brand 2yrs ago due to reputation and longevity. Ooops. Lesson learned and $700 out the window. Back to GEs. If youre reading this and concur with our review, just remember... customers always have a choice! Unfortunately, Whirlpool will figure this out the hard way. Just like other iconic brands... Smith-Corona, Blockbuster, Polaroid, Nokia, Saturn, Pontiac/Oldsmobile, Sony and many others. There is typically a reason a company offers tremendous sales incentives (price cut, rebate, special financing) to unload products. We found out why. Thanks for the memories Whirlpool!

After owning the Cabrio washing machine (WTW5700XW, purchase price $629) for approximately 18 months, it began stalling at the spin cycle, leaving the clothes sopping wet. We found we had to unplug the machine to reboot the computer, and then we were able to manually choose the drain and spin cycle to complete the cycle. Before beginning a new wash cycle, we have to unplug to reboot again, or it sticks in a perpetual pump cycle.I scheduled a repair appointment from the Whirlpool automated service system. The repair man determined the computer control panel has to be replaced. Diagnostic service call was $136, repair est, $321.67, repair service call, $60-130. Total repair cost on an 18-month old machine was $520+. I declined the repair in hope of getting extended warranty coverage from Whirlpool. Nobody has responded to my email complaint from one week ago, not even a computer acknowledgment of receipt of my email.

I purchased the GBS309PVS single oven in Dec. 09 along with a Whirlpool Gold microwave, dishwasher, and stove top. The oven was dented and scratched, so another one was delivered on 1/10/10. I finally decided to use the cleaning cycle in Oct. 10. It burned out the circuit board and something else. It was under warranty and repaired. I was afraid to use it again, but tried it yesterday, 12/27/2011. It smelled horrible, knocked the power out of the oven, and the door will not unlock. Customer service was not very kind and said that I had to purchase a $269 warranty and they would send someone out. I did, unwillingly. Well see what happens on Friday. It only cleans the bottom of the oven and that is after you mop up the water left in the bottom and scrub it. No amount of scrubbing even touches the sides, back or window, even after using the Aqualift feature 3 times! I spent hundreds of dollars only to be down on my hands and knees scrubbing to no avail. We purchased the Cabrio Agi top loading washing machine in 2011 (3 years ago). After 2 years it started leaking from the plastic drum (Bearings?). Luckily we have it in the basement on concrete floor, so there was no damage, just frustration. This was poor purchase on our part. We should have searched for more reviews. The wash time is ridiculous; it is too long, an average of 50 minutes per load. I dont know about how clean the clothes were, I guess they were OK. I didnt notice a smell, or them looking dingy. The Cabrio is a piece of junk if the bearings went out after 2 years?? We just purchased a heavy duty Speed Queen, top loading, agitator washer. My wife loves this, its like the old Maytag we had. We purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher in August of 2014 (Model #WDT710PAYM6)
We purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher in August of 2014 (Model #WDT710PAYM6) and it broke for the first time in the summertime of 2015, so it was still under warranty. The manufacturer set us up with a local company to fix it. First of all, the guy comes out to look at it and has no parts with him whatsoever to fix it once he figures out the problem. So we ended up waiting for over a month before our dishwasher was fixed. That is a long time to have to hand wash dishes, especially with the amount that we go through each day. I know that ranting about having to hand wash dishes is such a first world problem thing to complain about, but my gosh...if I buy a brand new dishwasher for a good amount of money, I shouldnt have to hand wash my stupid dishes!!It has now broken AGAIN and it is no longer under warranty. We called Whirlpool to see what they could do because it should not be breaking this often. They told us we could either spend $250 for a years worth of maintenance on it, or just pay out of pocket. So you want me to pay $250 or more to fix a dishwasher that we spent over $400 on that has broken twice in a year??? Ive been looking on their website for this model to leave a review and cannot find it, so that leads me to believe that it is discontinued. So thank you, Whirlpool for the piece-of-crap dishwasher. I can see you really take care of your customers when they call about their concerns too. I will NEVER buy any Whirlpool appliance again, and I will be sure to let all of my friends know they shouldnt either. If I could rate this with negative stars I would. So now we have to go out and purchase another dishwasher. Thank God Cyber Monday is here. So I cannot say it enough, do not, do not, do not buy a Whirlpool. If you do, youll find its actually a Whirl-poo, because its a POS.

Purchased a 450.00 Whirlpool over- the-range microwave oven in October 2015 and on January 4, 2017 it is not heating. Timer, light and turntable is working properly. I thought I was buying one of the best products. I was sadly mistaken. So I am a very disappointed senior citizen, is has a fixed income. I still have the receipt from my purchase from Lowes.

If you still have the door open when you pour it in the dispenser it almost comes out on you. It also knots your clothes up and makes them hard to get out. The rest is good.

Hot water heater model #0833T402747 purchased late 2008 - Several service calls had to be made to a plumber, due to this unit not working. The door assembly was shipped to me by Whirlpool. I had to pay again for the plumber to install this part. Hes been here 3-4 times since I bought the unit. Last Wednesday, May 2, 2012, no hot water again. The same plumber came out and said the door assembly had again gone bad. Whirlpool was contacted on Thursday morning and would not agree to do anything. They were given my plumbers name and number and I never heard back from them. I contacted Lowes in Acworth, GA and they agreed to replace the hot water heater. So now Im forced to pay for another install. I requested that Whirlpool pay this expense, and their representative, **, said no. I intend to sue them for all monies spent on this lemon and due to this lemon, I will never buy another Whirlpool product of any kind. I have told family and friends and theyve agreed that due to the bad product and worse customer service, they will also stay away from purchasing anything made by this company. Whirlpool certainly wont be hurt by me and me alone. But Ill make sure that anyone I run into at Lowes or anywhere else is even looking at a Whirlpool product will get an earful from me. This is the type of customer service that consumers dont have to put up with anymore. There are many resources on the internet to get the word out and I intend to spend a great deal of my time doing just that.

19 gallon Electric Whirlpool water heater Model #e1f20us015v - Purchased this water heater from Lowes to provide hot water to small apartment with no kitchen for my son, built in my garage. Had unit professionally installed within 1 foot of bath to provide hot water for shower and sink in bath only. Hot water lasts only 5 to 6 minutes and takes approx. 2 hours to recover. My son cannot even take a normal shower! ntacted Lowes who was unable to help and told me to contact Whirlpool. Contacted Whirlpool after my model number would not even come up on their website. I asked tech what was the normal expected amount of time before hot water depleted. She did not know. I asked what was the normal recovery rate. She did not know. I asked for information on the energy rating. She said there was no information available. I asked how I could receive a refund. She said that they could only send a plumber to check unit and that nothing would be done if it was heating water. I asked to speak with a supervisor. She said none were available and said one would call me. I never received a return call. VERY DISSATISFIED with Whirlpool on this issue. It appears my only recourse is to purchase a new water heater and scrap the present one.

My Cabrio washing machine is 3 years old, and is working the way it has been designed to work. It does not clean clothes and it consistently has a foul odor. Due to the odor, I must use the cleaning cycle with Affresh (pricey product) 3-4 times weekly. Even that is insufficient. Because it is in an indoor laundry area, the odor permeates the hallway and nearby bedrooms. The extra cleaning cycles are contrary to the energy efficiency of the washer, and detrimental to the severe drought conditions in California. When I contacted Whirlpool about my situation, they recommended I substitute bleach for the Affresh to keep the cost down.

It does not clean well and the clothes does not smell clean even though I often clean the washer and leave the top open when Im not using it. Ive also had it service 3 times because the rotator keeps going off and makes a lot of noise. I bought an LG dishwasher for $1300 and it lasted 7 months and completely broke down less than a year and had to be replaced. After I bought a $400 Whirlpool. It does the same job and Ive had it for 2 years without any repairs.

I have a pretty small refrigerator since I live in a condo. It has lasted me about 4 years and is still running very well. It is very easy to clean. I dont buy a whole lot of food at one time. The size is big enough to hold what I buy every week. The appearance is decent. Only two people use it every day. I havent had any problems with the refrigerator in the four years I have had it. I get frustrated sometimes when opening up the bottom storage container. If I pull it out too far, it falls to the floor. This happens especially when the container is full of fruits and vegetables. I guess bottom storage container was designed that way for easy removal to be cleaned. I really like the adjustable shelves. I can adjust them perfectly to store food containers and jugs of milk and other drinks. I like the door shelves in the freezer compartment. It is great for small packages of vegetables.

We purchased the washer on April 25, 2015. It has been an absolute nightmare. Reached out to Sears within a week of delivery because the wash cycle was way over an hour. Is a terrible machine, my clothes come out dirty, is damaging my clothes and Sears says I cannot return it because according to them I havent had it fixed enough times. It washes for over an hour at times. It takes water and releases water and goes to wash again but is not cleaning the clothes. As a homeowner we pay water, and electricity and perhaps I wouldnt be so upset if my clothes would come out clean. At first the tech told me to change from the HE detergent purchased and recommended at Sears to liquid detergent and then since I still get stains on our clothes he advised me to use less than the recommended amount. I also purchased the kit to wash the machine. This is a real lemon and nobody wants to admit it. I have purchased Whirpool washer before but if they dont admit that this is poorly made and give me a voucher to buy another machine I will never ever in my life buy Whirlpool or Sears for that matter. The machine is just a year old and I cannot use it because it damages my clothes and worst, is not cleaning my clothes. It disgust me to wear dirty clothes or to have my family wear them. So now I have another appointment and at this point I no longer use the machine. I will tell everyone that is willing to hear my experience. Do not purchase this washer, is not good and is only trouble. You are not going to be able to get it exchanged or fixed. I think that a full year would have been enough time for Sears to determine this is a lemon and do the right thing by the customer. I now go to the laundromat because I have a machine that damages my clothes. I am also out of money to purchase a new one and the wearing dirty clothes disgust me.

I purchased a washing centre at Canadian Appliance Source. I paid to have it delivered, installed and for them to take away my old appliances. I had several issues and when I called the store, they sent me to Whirlpool warranty who dispatched a repair technician a few days later. With nothing solved to my satisfaction, I called Whirlpool again. I spoke to a customer service rep who gave these responses, she put me through to a manager who gave me the same responses. When I asked to speak with someone above her, she said she could put me through to another person at her level but noone at a higher level.I want to hear the same response again? Really? Her only other answer was to email the Whirlpool Executive, which will be my next step. This is a summary only of my experience of the first few days after the purchase.Problem: The first load I washed was 1 set of blue sheets with 2 pillow cases. The water didnt seem to cover the load but I thought when it started to wash, they would get wet. When I took the sheets out of the washer, there were several dry spots and some kind of residue on several areas, so not washed or cleaned as expected. I tried washing one sheet, same thing. Tech solution: Put in some wet items to the load so the washer thinks the load is heavier and will add more water, or add a bucket of water to the load, Really? Whirlpool response: The washer is working as expected. Really? Problem: I did a warm water wash, expecting the machine to dispense a mix of hot and cold AT THE SAME TIME making it warm water. The washer starts with cold water then stops and puts in hot water. I dont want cold water or hot water on this load I want warm as recommended by the manufacturer! Tech solution:Dont use warm water wash. Really? Whirlpool response: Works as expected. Really?Problem: Dryer is way too hot on the delicate cycle, not good for delicates! Tech solution: Use the air dry cycle. Really? Whirlpool response: Dryer is working as expected. Really?Problems I didnt even discuss: The load is really really wrinkled when it comes out of the washer. Who wants to have to go back to ironing everything they own? The washer tub and dryer are really really small! I should have read more reviews and headed the warnings! Comments: I purchased online, biggest mistake. The store will not take it back. Whirlpool will not take it back. Hindsight is 2020! If I could have given negative stars, I would have.

First twice the frame that holds the crisper drawers broken. We bought parts and fixed worked for only short time. Second we bought extended warranty from Home Depot for 5 years. At about 4.5 years ice maker started freezing up. The valve that controls the amt of water that goes in was broken. Had it fixed under warranty. Started having a little problem with it in a couple months. Lasted 8 months. Broke again. Froze up. Had to pound on ice maker compartment door to get open. Once again water overflowed. Froze everything up. Called. Of course our of warranty now expired. Called the guy that put the ice maker repair parts in. The part under warranty but now I have to pay for labor and them coming out to look at it. Now why would I want to put another defective ice maker in. I called Whirlpool. They didn’t care. I purchased a Whirlpool WTW6600SW in January 2010. I dont normally purchase an extended warranty, but it was a fairly expensive washer. So I did. In July 2011, water starts gushing all over the floor. After my first visit to see what is wrong, I ordered a part. I was out of a washer for 2 weeks. Then in August 2012 the same thing happened. This time the repairman didnt get the part on properly, so they had to come back a third time. I am out of a washer for about 3 weeks. Now, October 2012, it is doing the same thing again! Customer service tells me it has to be repaired for the same problem four times in the same 12 months in order to receive any replacement value. It will have to break two more times! On August 16, 2016 I received delivery of an Whirlpool under counter refrigerator that I ordered online from Home Depot. Model # WUR50X24EM. Five months later, on January 10, 2017, it stopped working, I called Whirlpool for repair. They referred me to their service company, I called the service company the same day. They had a repairman out on the following Tuesday, 1/17/17. The repairman said that he will need to contact Whirlpool to order a part. Whirlpool sent him the wrong part. After numerous phone calls no one from Whirlpool could figure out the correct part number. The repairman kept sending over pictures and information on the correct part, but this all went nowhere with Whirlpool. On 2/7/17, I called and started yelling. I had been very patient up to this point. I was finally offered by Whirlpool a parts research to determine exactly which part was needed. Plus a $50 Visa card to appease me. At this point, its been four weeks without a refrigerator and no one from Whirlpool has put any effort towards trying to figure out the correct part. On 2/16/17, I called Whirlpool again to find out if they had found the correct part. They told me that the new part had been sent to the service company and Whirlpool scheduled me an appointment right then for Monday, 2/20/17.So today is 2/20/17, the repairman came and went, Whirlpool once again failed, they lied because the repairman came out with the wrong part that was originally sent to him when he ordered the part back on 1/17/17. I called Whirlpool and asked for a manager. They connected me with the Resolution Specialist. I told her everything and pointed out that it has been six weeks without a refrigerator. She said she will take care of it and get the right part ordered. I asked her how long I should have to wait, cause at this point I have waited long enough. She said she will have an answer by the end of this week. I dont believe her, I feel as though Whirlpool is pacifying me. I dont understand why they cant order the correct part.I have no faith in Whirlpool that they will do the right thing or have any understanding on how inconvenienced they have made me. I have no faith to the point that I ordered another refrigerator from a different manufacturer. It will be here tomorrow between 8am-12pm. Oh, and Home Depot, they washed their hands of this a long time ago. And, I have yet to see the $50 Visa Card.

I get a call from Mr. ** (Representative of shree enterprises bibwewadi, pune) and the power button issue was well informed to him as well over the phone by me. He arrived to our place without any new material, he sees the machine and interchanges the buttons, i.e. the broken power button is replaced by other button from my machine which was less used compared to the power button. I had to pay a sum of rs. 400/- for the pathetic service I received from your end.I expect a response from your side within next 4 hours, or I might have to escalate this issue!!! (Please note Whirlpool team that I had submitted the same on your website yesterday, yet I have not received any response from your side). (Whirlpool rating- 0 out of 100). Thanks. WRF989SDAM00 - We spent about $1800 on a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator and at 1.5 years we had to replace the compressor for $700+. Apparently Whirlpool will only warranty for 1 year. The repairman told me the compressor he was putting in is exactly the same model as the bad one he took out so I guess I am not surprised that it only has a 1.5 year working range. We are now 1.5 years into the new compressor and sure enough it is dying again. Now it sounds like a jet plane taking off. By the time I replace it again I could have bought a new refrigerator. I am trying to figure out if this refrigerator is on recall because I cant keep replacing the compressor every 1.5 year. Never again will I purchase a Whirlpool product. Whirlpool Energy Saver Dishwasher Model DU850SWPS3 was placed in our new home purchased in May of 2010. We just found that this dishwasher had a slow leak in the seal to the motor which has ruined our hardwood floor, subflooring and part of a laminate beam on the floor directly below the washer, plus molding from the water. The leak has been going on sometime it was not noticed until the floor became so soaked from use over a long period of time that we finally saw the leak, by accident, in the basement which we hardly access. The Whirlpool costumer service was no help and would not entertain repairing the dishwasher unless we paid due to the fact it is over the year warranty. This is clearly a defective part in their product and poor workmanship on their part. We should not have to check underneath our new appliances to determine if we have leaking problems because we cannot trust them from failing. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product and will not recommend their products to anyone.

MODELGR673LXOQ WHIRLPOOL RANGE - I purchased this range in January 2014. It is a good-looking range with a ceramic top and a convection oven. It has burned more food in a year than I had burned in several years. The top burners get red hot no matter where you have them set. They turn on very hot, then turn off and after a while they are red hot again. Cooking anything that requires a medium or less heat burns to the pan bottom. The oven works alright as a regular oven but when put on convection it burns the food closest to the fan before the rest is cooked. The company sent a technician to check the stove. He checked the temperature of the oven and said it was running too hot. He changed that setting and the first time I tried to bake it took forever. I reset the oven back to where it had been. The tech made no attempt to check the top burners as he said they couldnt all be bad. I hate this stove I had my former stove for thirty years and never had problems with it.

Whirlpool microwave model # gh4184xsb1 handle is falling apart. I have replaced the hood vent twice and the entire door once and now, its the same problem again. The plastic becomes brittle over a year to two years of use and falls apart. Whirlpool will only stand by their one year warranty, and is not concerned about a problem that many of its customers are having. I have read many complaints on the web about this same problem. My wife and I have decided never to purchase Whirlpool products again.

I am very unhappy with the Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine that I purchased. Dark clothing comes out with lint deposits that will not come off. I have to rewash them at least one more time and then it does not always come out. I dont know if it is because the water level is too low or that it has no lint filter but I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again.

In the last two years, the inner glass door of the oven has exploded. The last time was Tuesday, 14th January. The oven door was ajar because we had just finished cooking dinner. The noise was deafening but the worst thing about it was the large pieces of glass thrown all over the kitchen. Most of which were large enough and sharp enough to kill a child and seriously wound an adult. I phoned Whirlpool to report this. The operative I spoke to was very polite but told me these things happen and I could have banged it a while ago and left a weak spot! She also said a Supervisor or similar person would telephone me that day. It is now Saturday 18th January and NO phone call. MY concern is there is no mention of this being a possible problem in their literature and their obvious lack of concern under a Health and Safety situation. Not to mention the cost of replacement door glass.

I bought the washer and dryer. I had problems right away. The glass lid has broken and replaced 4x at the hingeless. YES 4 times – 1 time under warranty. I complain, they gave me 1 extra year of a warranty. Big deal... Was told its not a recalled item because it didnt cause of fire. The dryer has caught fire 2x as the bottom fills up with lint. I messaged and sent picture and they did nothing. Said it was up to me to clean the unit. I am not able to take the dryer apart to clean it. The lint cannot be reached without removing the top and back of dryer and taking out the drum and the belt off. Nothing but grief. Giant expense to maintain all the broken parts not to mention labor fees… Very very unsatisfied. And they do not care!!!! They will never get another penny of my money!!!!! Im not sure how they get away with this!!! I spent $2000 to buy a good set that would last and all I got was junk. Not to mention the awful smell always having to bleach or cleaning it all the time.

Within 10 days of installing our new Electric range the cooktop does not look new and although we have used the prescribed cleaning methods, will not remove some cooked on spills over one burner and another burner has white rings around the glass above the dual zone cooking element. While we did not choose the top-of-line model; had expected much greater durability and appearance for our new range. My call into Whirlpool service made me feel like mine was an extremely isolated case and yet nothing would be covered as would be classified as customer fault. Highly disappointing as the cooktop on the range that we replaced seemed so much more durable.

Im disgusted by both Sears and Whirlpool that I have paid top dollar for my Whirlpool Duet Washer model #WFW9400SW01 (along with the matching Whirlpool duet dryer and 15 floor pedestals) at a cost of over $1,000 for the machine, and hundreds of dollars for the Sears master protection service contract. And 5 weeks after first reporting my washer breakdown and lugging my familys laundry to a ‘local’ laundromat located miles away, I still have no imminent hope of seeing a repair. This is the second time the machine has broken down within 5 years. (Dont even ask me about my nightmare with LG dishwashers!) This time the wire harness is the culprit, a part which apparently has been redesigned & which has been on back order indefinitely - all Sears can tell me is it might be available sometime in October. Is it coming from overseas, I ask. No, Delaware, Ive been told. And it could be as long as into November. While they did tell me I could begin to pursue a replacement machine by the 21st day of non-use, I am so weary of the life energy this appliance nightmare is sapping from me simply to resolve this. And Sears and Whirlpool dont seem at all concerned with the massive amounts of junked appliances winding up in our collective landfill as we all tolerate this built-in obsolescence. Besides the obvious wear & tear issue on my wood floors in replacing the machine (the dryer positioned next to it on a pedestal in my cramped powder room/laundry room will also need to be reinstalled in order to get both to fit properly), what about the consummate waste of having these machines reach the end of their life expectancy after a mere 5 years? I wish Id never upgraded our appliances. In the 7 years since we did, our LG dishwasher has failed innumerable times and been replaced multiple times, until we finally replaced multiple versions with a Bosch (so far, so good); our Kenmore Elite range has also failed and needed repair; my washer has died twice. Shouldnt we expect better when we pay top dollar? And if not Consumer Reports, then why isnt the Attorney Generals Office investigating this clear fleecing of the consumer, Sears policy in which sales people aggressively hound consumers like me into purchasing expensive service contracts, making all sorts of unreliable claims and limited time only price quotes. And then when the consumer actually needs a repair, is treated like Im last in a long line of unhappy customers. Maybe if current embattled Sears CEO Edward Lampert had to face weeks of doing his own familys laundry in a laundromat while he waited for a part on backorder from Sears, he might recognize not only a lot of other people waiting on a Sears part there too. But that while on his watch, the Sears name has eroded big-time as he sacrificed quality in his relentless drive for profits.

Whirlpool mailed me a new icemaker and still the exact problem; water and ice works but the unit still will not cube or crush ice; which by the way is the reason I bought a new refrigerator. Whirlpool Gold Microwave Hood Combo GH5184XPS4 purchased new on 12/2009. The plastic vent cracked where clip attached by factory installed screw. The vent fell off microwave on 10/2011. Now, the plastic door handle is cracking. The customer service is sorry and recommends to buy replacement parts as long as they remain available. After reading all of these reviews, Im not surprised at the negative comments. My husband and I owned a Whirlpool washer and dryer for 25 years prior to them both dying the same summer four years ago. I absolutely would not purchase anything but another set of Whirlpool washer and dryer because of the longevity of our previous set.We bought the Cabrio set 4 years ago this summer. After two years, we discovered it had a slow leak at the back hot water valve and underneath it somewhere when it spun and it had slowly leaked under the wall into our living room which eventually caused our hardwood floors to buckle. We had to replace the flooring in that section at a cost I will not even say and had a repairman come out and fix the lid lock, leak where for some reason there wasnt a washer in the valve area, underneath and the problem with the spin cycle. This was at a cost of around $200.00. Of course our one year warranty had run out. The next year it did the SAME THING AGAIN!!! Although we caught it quicker, we STILL had to replace a small section of hardwood flooring and have the machine repaired yet again at the tune of approximately $200.00. Now, as I type, our machine has yet again flooded our laundry room one year later and I will have to call a repairman in the morning yet again! Its becoming an annual and costly thing!!!I came across this site while looking to see if by chance this machine had been recalled and we would be able to get another one at no cost since we have already paid a fortune for the errors it has caused. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau and writing YET ANOTHER letter to the Whirlpool company with the hopes that they will recall this machine!! If enough people protest and report this shoddy workmanship, maybe they will!!!

We bought a Cabrio washer less than three years ago. I have never felt that it got my clothes clean. The washer recently stopped spinning and agitating. We were told by a very experienced repair technician today that the gear case and bearings in the tub need to be replaced at a cost of $700.00. Needless to say, I am very upset. I called the Whirlpool Company and after being on hold for almost 15 minutes, I was told that my washer is too old to qualify for any help with repair cost or part replacement. My household consists of two adults. We do on average three loads a week. This is an inferior appliance and after this experience I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

We are on our 3rd washer and second dryer in 10 years. Our latest replacement (Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer) was purchased 3 months ago and is already broken and now we have been without a washer for a whole month. Not only do they have issues with the control panel and latch, but they smell. The dryer also had a control panel issue. Trying to get our units fixed presented even more problems and wrong parts would come in, with weeks going by without parts/service. Apologies and sympathies expressed on the phone are not enough. When you buy a matching set and only one breaks, you tend to replace the matching unit, which we regret and we went back and forth with our washer and dryer. I would never recommend a Whirlpool product after this. We finally got a replacement today and due to more poor communication on their end, they could not hook up. My new washer sits in the laundry room, and I hate it before I even get it hooked up.

Warning to anyone considering this washing machine. It has actually destroyed some of my clothing by twisting and tying legs and arms of pants and shirts tightly together and giving the clothes a beating rather than a reasonably careful washing. Rubbing your clothes on a rock at the bank of some river would be preferable to using this machine. It does not provide enough water to wash clothing without abusing it. I blame myself for assuming that no company would attempt to put a product that performed like this on the market. I bought this machine at hhgregg.

Ordered this two days after my son came home from college. He had to be out of his apartment July 31 2016 and brought 4 years worth of laundry with him. Monday my machine breaks, Tuesday I order this thing from Lowes Arrives at 2:30 on Thursday and as it is being installed I ask why the water fill is so slow. It is trickling out like a childs toy. Delivery man tells me the water is completely turned on. He hears this remark a lot from people who buy this model. I put in my first load of laundry, a small load of about 6 things that I am washing for my mother who is in a nursing home. They have that nursing home smell. I push pause as the machine is cleaning to unlock the lid and peek inside. Oh my God the clothes are sitting on top of each other not even covered in water. I then shut the lid and listen to the tiny slush of the machine agitating. At the end of the cycle they smell exactly the same. Dirty.I had read to use the deep fill so I rewash them on deep fill. Look inside halfway through and what do I see? Wet clothes piled on top of each other, still not floating in water. How are these clothes getting clean when they are in a wet pile on the bottom of the machine? I take them out. Still not clean. Not smelling quite as bad, but not smelling like soap. I then washed sheets, a blanket, and some clothing of my sons. Nothing smelled particularly dirty but NOTHING smelled like soap. The quilt was covered in hairs (my son and roommates had a dog) and soap residue. I had read this in reviews online also. I am wasting time since each load takes from 50 to 130 minutes (yes). I am wasting soap, oh but I am saving water - not really.Well Lowes has a 30 day return policy so I went down there and am expecting a GE machine with an agitator tomorrow, Saturday! Cant wait. The only one saving money are these manufacturers They no longer are spending cash on producing the agitator out of plastic, attaching it with nuts and bolts, or using gaskets between the parts. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK, do not even look at it. I question all the HE machines at this point. You need to use HE soap cause you cant wash away suds in a machine with no water. What a con - the whole thing is.

Ive spent more repairing this washer than what I paid for it new!!! Its really ridiculous that Whirlpool isnt more responsible for their equipment that doesnt stand up to their name! Ive replaced more things than I want to type but just to start the computer board, pump, bearings just to name a few. Each time I had my repairman out it was a minimum of $300 to repair. Ive had my repairman out 5 times to repair things. Thinking each time its cheaper to fix it than buy another which I surely didnt think I would be repairing it several time! At this point Im just sick to death that a washer that is for a home of myself and my daughter has broken down so much. I cant imagine what a family would go through. Even after all the repairs it still isnt right but Im done sinking money into this sinking ship of a washer! Its loud constantly stops due to un level so I have to move the clothes around usually having to repeat this several times before I can get the load to finish!!! Then they come out wrinkled more than they went in and I have to iron clothes. A person should NOT need to iron! May as well wash them in the river on a rock. It would be easier!!! SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

My KitchenAid side by side refrigerator/freezer is a beautiful thing, shiny steel surface, gleaming white inside. However, its made poorly. The ice cube maker compartment broke and the replacement came without any installation instructions. It was hard to figure out and I broke it. Now, everything in the refrigerator is freezing and changing the temperature on the digital panel makes no difference. McKinneys appliance, where I bought it, no longer has a refrigeration technician and they referred me to Whirlpools 1-800 number where I supplied some information and sat in my chair on hold listening to music for a half hour before hanging up.The recording on the phone suggested their online chat where I was asked the same sorts of questions and was told I would get the answers I wanted by paying $5.00. I had no idea what I was getting into but I didnt pay, just terminated that inquiry. Feeling cheated by the company whose product I had mistakenly purchased. Im now running the risk of a technician visit, sometime between 8 am and 4 pm a couple of days from now. I have to be prepared to wait around all day for somebody to look at my refrigerator, charge me a lot of money and, from what Ive read online, potentially see the problem return in a very short space of time.

I purchased a side-by-side Whirlpool refrigerator less than three years ago, but about a year ago we discovered it was leaking from the freezer thats located on the bottom. Initially we thought that if we simply defrosted the sheet of ice that formed on the bottom of the freezer - it would stop the leaking. Its hard to keep up with - I checked into it on the Internet and discovered that there is a clogged drain hole that is causing the leaking.Apparently, a number of people are experiencing the same thing. I called Whirlpool (since our local repairman suggested we contact them because this is a chronic problem and is likely to happen again). The customer service person kept pushing me to buy the extended warranty with their repair that will cost nearly $400!!! Without it - it will cost nearly $200 that doesnt include any parts. Its a new refrigerator, very bad quality and theres damage to our kitchen floor, and then Whirlpool wants me to pay $400 to repair the mess they made! VERY UPSET...

My husband and I purchased a new Maytag top load washing machine from Best Buy in May 2017. On June 19th, a month later, as I am washing, all of a sudden the machine dies down. I checked everything from the outlet, the plug to the circuit breaker, and nothing seemed to help get my washer to start up again. Unfortunately I had wet clothes inside and the lid is one of those that locks itself and it would not open. :( I called Whirlpool/Maytag to explain my situation and could not believe that they told me that they only have 1 authorized appliance repair dealer they work with in my area and that they didnt show any available appointments until 4 weeks from now? WHAT? Are you kidding me? I could not wait that long, especially since I had soaking wet clothes sitting inside the washer.I asked if I called someone else myself and have it repaired sooner, would they reimburse me for the expenses. They refused to do that and told me I need to wait for their own authorized repair dealers. Talk about bad customer service here :( My husband called them back and asked to speak to a supervisor at Whirlpool and was told that it shouldnt have to be that long for us to wait for repair so why was I told that in the first place? The supervisor proceeded to tell my husband that we will get a call back in 5 days? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? 5 days just for someone to CALL us? And then have to wait longer to get our service done? No way!We think that Whirlpool sold Best Buy a lemon and we are paying for it! Why cant they say that they will get in touch with Best Buy so they can deliver a new working machine and take this lemon back? We are not happy with their responses so we will be paying Best Buy a visit to see what else we can do. I already spent unnecessary money to go to a laundromat to wash clothes :( I would recommend that people stay away from Whirlpool products. Well see if we can exchange ours for another brand.

I bought a Whirlpool water heater from Lowes in the fall of 2009. For the first 4 years it worked fine. Since the spring of 2015, it started to stop working. I called the company, and they recommend their contractors to fix it. In less than a year, I had it repaired at least ten times. I spent more to repair it than I bought it. This water heater has a 10-year warranty on it. Per the companys recommendation, I replaced the thermocouple, clean it, have it regularly serviced. The technician told us we need to change the gas valve assembly. When I called, they sent a burner assembly. When I called, they asked me about the exhaust pipe, whether it is go through the roof or go through the side of the house. I took several pictures of the exhaust system and sent to them. I called, one of the people on the company side said my exhaust was wrong, and need to be repaired by a HVAC company. I asked what is wrong? They dont tell me. I sent emails, and called to ask an answer, and got nothing. My impression is that they dont want to deal with the issues and simply want the consumer to get tired and replace the water heater. It really shows the total disregard of the interest of the consumers. This should not be the way people do business in the United States. When a big company has large numbers of lawyers, they can ignore the law. What a corrupt system!

We purchased our Whirlpool french door refrigerator with bottom freezer, model number WRF990SLAM02, from Lowes in August 2013. In November 2013 we noticed a pool of water on the floor, resulting from what looked like a leak coming from the ice maker. After contacting customer service, they sent a repair company to service the fridge. This rep stayed no longer than 5 minutes and barely looked at the appliance. He said this is a known issue by the company, they have since implemented a fix in the newer models, and it just needed one replacement part and would be good as new. It did NOT fix the problem, it continued to worsen to the point where the freezer is no longer working. I have a freezer full of defrosted food that is not safe to eat. Whirlpool finally agreed (after 3 months) to send another repair company to look at the fridge. This rep took over an hour thoroughly examining the appliance and concluded that it could not be repaired and would need to be replaced; otherwise, we could expect the same issue to keep recurring. Whirlpool did agree to replace the fridge, but has not been able to provide a timeframe. I was contacted by a representative from the product replacement line named Alisha, but she has never answered her phone I have returned her calls. I finally got a representative on the line who informed me I need to wait until I get a call letting me know the replacement product is in-stock. That was 3 weeks ago, and this morning I woke up to a huge water leak coming from the fridge. Whirlpool has deflected the issue off to Lowes, where I purchased it, and said they will have no further contact with me regarding the appliance. I will NEVER purchase another product from this company again. They seemingly left a faulty product on the market and failed to inform me about the known issue. Then they failed to quickly provide needed repair or replacement in a timely manner. They also refuse to reimburse me for the food loss, which would not have ever occurred had they handled the issue appropriately from the beginning. TERRIBLE company.
