I have the same problems that all the consumers are complaining about. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. I have it for 2 years to date, and it doesnt keep my food cold. I loved the roomy space it had; thats what sold me the refrigerator. If I would know what I know now, I wouldnt have bought it. I will never blame the business that I bought it from; I will blame Whirlpool. Hearing all what the consumers did to try to fix the problem, it sounds like a waste of time and money. Im sorry to hear what you went through, but also I want to thank you for your complaints so I dont have to deal with it. Whirlpool sounds like a piece of junk. I’m going back to a GE.

Thirty minutes into running the oven self cleaning cycle for the first time
Thirty minutes into running the oven self cleaning cycle for the first time, the middle pane of glass exploded! Weve had this range two years 4 months, and didnt buy the extended warranty. I contacted Whirlpool and they acted like this was the first theyve heard of this. I inquired on the class action law suit in New York from 2012, the year we bought ours, and they had no comment. They were willing to sell us an extended one year warranty and we pay for the service call for only $332! I declined and will never buy a Whirlpool product again.

My family has been without hot water for two weeks. We have the same water heater, we have been to Lowes where we were told the recalled parts were no longer available, unless we wanted to drive 3 1/2 hours to Arkansas to get it. Whirlpool wants to give me a free part for $36.00 worth of shipping and handling! All the local suppliers say I have to go through Lowes, or the manufacturer. I dont want to give whirlpool another dime. This has been a fiasco. How much more can a company disrespect their customer, than to make us pay for a faulty product replacement? It is unacceptable. This is ridiculous. It is December, and I have a family of 7, including a child in a wheelchair.

I am very impressed with Whirlpool. After seeing my review, they contacted me and offered to send the parts to fix the problem with the LED lights. They sent a Whirlpool authorized repairman to my home with the understanding that since the refrigerator is out of warranty, I would have to pay him. Whirlpool also asked me to return the faulty part so they can research the problem. We are once again happy owners of Whirlpool products. Thank you Whirlpool!

The pilot of my Whirlpool hot water heater (model FG1H5040T3NOV) suddenly went out and I called in a plumber to check it out. He managed to restart the pilot and we had hot water again, but it went out again within 12 hours. He mentioned that I would most likely need a part called a thermo coupling and I should start looking for it. Well, I found this site and read one of the positive reviews that provided the WP toll free number, so I called. Talk about great customer service! Ben was amazing – he took down all my info and was very helpful. Even though the warranty expired years ago, he overnighted me the replacement parts I needed at no charge. And there’s no charge for shipping either! My plumber is completely anti-Whirlpool HWHs and now he will change his mind when I tell him how efficient they are. I also hope he doesnt charge me a bundle to install the replacement part.

I have been without a washing machine for 3 weeks because my 4-month old washing machine does not work. I have had a repairman out 3 times and now one of the parts that he may need because unfortunately, its not an exact science is on back order. I have spoken twice to supervisors at Whirlpool and have gotten nowhere with them. They are trying to locate the part that is on backorder and my warranty is for repair and replacement parts only. By the time they get through with fixing this lemon, if it ever gets fixed, it will cost more than just replacing the machine! I have 5 people I am doing laundry for and a trip to the laundry mat every week is not something I can afford nor is taking time off of my job every week to meet with a repairman to try and guess what the machine is needing now. After 4 months, I should not have to even be concerned with what is and isnt covered by my warranty! My last washer/dryer lasted 12-15 years with very little ever going wrong with it. I will never recommend Whirlpool products or buy Whirlpool products again, not because something has gone wrong with the product, things like this happen, but because Whirlpool is very poor when it comes to customer satisfaction and treating their customers right. With this day and age of social networking and this economy, you would think that Whirlpool would do more to treat their customers right and build a product that lasts longer than 4 months. When I asked to talk to someone other than the supervisor I was given, I was told that she is the top person. Really? I find it hard to believe that there is no one above her that I could talk with to express my frustration and request that something be done about this problem.

We have a wtw5500xw2 washing machine we bought 03/2012. We can no longer use it. The machine would not spin or agitate so the clothes do not get clean or get the water out and after the cycle is done we have to wring them out after to be able to take them to the laundromat. So two repair companies and 3 months later we find out that it is the wiring harness that is the culprit. After a new motor and a shift actuator, we contacted Whirlpool only to be advised that the washing machine is out of warranty and that we are out of luck. If the company has a known issue about these wiring harness they should be looking into it and changing suppliers or offering to replace the wiring harness at a discount to its customers. I will not be buying a Whirlpool appliance ever again. I would recommend going with a Kenmore. I have had a Kenmore dryer that I got 19 yrs ago that we got used and only had to replace the heating element.

Recently had a Whirlpool gas water heater installed. Would smell gas every time the heater kicked on. I inspected the vent, all the new fittings, with no luck. Leaving the windows open didnt help. Finally found the problem: the factory-installed line from the gas control valve to the tank was leaking. Should have kept my old heater. It was still working flawlessly after 20 years. You would think a new heater would at least be inspected before hitting the market.

I purchased a matching set Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer and dryer in 2007. Bought from Conns for $2,100. After 3 months of ownership, the circuit board had to be replaced on the washer. Three months later the heating element was replaced on the dryer. Just recently I spent $350.00 to replace 4 drum suspensions. The washer literally shook my home. 3 weeks later, the circuit board needs replacement (code F1). Estimate to repair - $325.00. The dryer is not working properly. Im having to run the clothing thru 2 cycles. Back to the washer. It shreds my towels. Ive read where other consumers have had this same problem. These are expensive towels. So, only 7 yrs. into ownership and I am replacing this junk with the old school washer/dryer. Unlike the Cabrio washer, I will have a washer with an agitator that will actually clean my clothing. Whirlpool manufactures trash and the Cabrio duo was the worse purchase I have ever made. Do not purchase Whirlpool and definitely do not purchase Cabrio.

I am happy because Whirlpool refunded my money and removed the stove. That was the outcome I was looking for as this new steam clean thing of theirs does not work on a dirty oven. Hopefully, they will work on improving these stoves and restore consumer confidence once again.

My wife and I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing the Whirlpool Gold
My wife and I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing the Whirlpool Gold Series, model #WRF989SDAM00 refrigerator two years ago...yes TWO YEARS AGO! We have experienced numerous issues with the appliance but our latest (no cold air in both the fridge and freezer) prompted a call to a service center. The serviceman that showed up knew immediately what the issue was, our compressor and evaporator had malfunctioned and according to him, We have seen the same problem in a number of these models and that Whirlpool has since redesigned the casing to prevent this issue in new models. What about those of us who purchased the previous model?! Now shame on us I guess for not purchasing the extended warranty...I suppose I just took it for granted that in todays competitive manufacturing world Whirlpool would be committed to building a quality product! Because of this I was offered two options from Whirlpool. #1 - pay for the parts yourself...over $800 or #2 - purchase their 1 year warranty program @ $350/year, this warranty will cover all parts and labor for an entire year. Based on my experiences though, I will need to purchase a 1 year warranty @ $350/year for the life of this lemon, potentially costing me $5500 over a 10 year period. I ultimately took option 3...tossed the piece of junk and bought a new fridge from their competition. Dont be fooled by the attractive design and appearance, the Whirlpool Gold Series refrigerator is a money pit waiting to happen!

We bought a Whirlpool model WFW5620HW front-load washer at Lowes. The unit shook so violently during part of the spin cycle that the Whirlpool-authorized service company technician said not to use it while parts were ordered. It seems the balance ring was not functioning. Parts ordered were shocks and tub assembly. The technician suggested trying to get a whole new unit, as the repair is so intensive he had only done one or two in his career.Whirlpool customer service said they would not replace the unit, and an escalated request had the same response. I think this is terrible customer service - when there is such intensive failure in the unit, they should provide a brand new machine. The work has not yet been done - we are without use of a washer for an unknown period of time, since the order of a tub assembly is so uncommon that they do not have a time estimate. Needless to say, we will never buy Whirlpool again, and suggest you do the same.

I bought an adapter that I added to the kitchen pipe, drilled a few holes in my cabinets to route the hose and voila! It is small but big enough so it's perfect for me. I didn't realize it had an internal heater so I was moving the hose between hot & cold under the sink but now that I know. I will try the heater. The settings are complicated so you have to read the instructions fully. Before I read them I thought every load took 2-3 hours but they don't. I do like to use the heavy soil setting and that does take a couple hours, but if I'm in a hurry or the load is not that bad I use a shorter 50 min setting. For the drain hose I either put it out the window or put a screen in the sink & tie it to the faucet. You have to tie it down wherever you aim it because the water comes out with enough force to throw the hose. I had a couple incidents of kitchen flood before this stuck in my head, now that sucker is secured well. I intend to make a permanent drain to the pipe eventually but for now I just use window/ sink. This required a longer drain hose. For apartment use, I am very happy.

We purchased a Whirlpool side by side from Lowes and an extended warranty. Immediately maybe a month the ice maker froze. Ice container in the door. Repairman said design is notorious for this problem. This was an ongoing problem. They replaced icemaker and it continued. Finally the warranty people told me it could be deemed a lemon if repaired for the same issue 4 times in a year. They deemed it a LEMON and I received a store credit for the purchase price less the warranty amount. I purchased a new LG French door. No issues and its been 5 years. If you have an extended warranty do some checking on the lemon.

I purchased a washer and dryer set, the Cabrio Platinum Series WTW8500BRO, about 3 years ago. I had a UL code come up a year ago and the machine was serviced and all was back to normal. Then only 9 months later it started acting up again. This time it sounds like an airplane taking off and there is a black spatter leaking from underneath, also the lid lock stopped engaging. I started to look up the error code for the lid lock and while reviewing that issue it was an easy fix, however, the noise and black spatter issue led me to tons of horrible reviews about this product. It is a bearing/tub/shaft issue that is going to cost me $500 to fix. First off I did not pay cash for this set, I rented it for 3 years and paid twice what it’s worth, around $4,000. Stupid on my part but I couldn’t afford it the other way. Weekly payments were easier. Now I am scared to fix this product because of all the reviews I’ve seen from other consumers. I haven’t had the other issues like dirty clothes, not enough water, high cycle times because they all start with a high number but after it configured the load the time shrinks, but this major issue about the bearings, they say I have to replace the entire tub assembly which is half the cost of the unit. So stupid and I cannot believe Whirlpool is getting away with this crap. Please please please inform me about any lawsuits. I will gladly participate in that. They should be held accountable for such a worthless piece of junk. Like I said I am now afraid to fix this machine because from what I’m reading, more than likely it will only last a short time.

Despite my claim being submitted within the first 4 months of purchase, Whirlpool would not assist in solving our issue. We purchased all major appliances from Whirlpool, to furnish our new home in August 2021. All appliances were white. The top of our gas range began discolouring immediately following the first use. The inside of the four corners immediately began to ware due to heat. I figured Id have time to put my claim in, and thought to see if it got worse. Once I finally had time to deal with the issue, I contacted them only to find out that we only had 30 days from the date of purchase (of which included 3 months of waiting for the products to arrive) to claim the issue, given that it was considered Cosmetic. Easy fix, since theyd simply have to change the top of the stove, but Whirlpool denied our claim. Do not purchase this product, unless youre looking for a sub-standard product and customer service.

In less than a year my gas range required a new knob because it froze in place. They covered that but not the 4 new knobs since. I must clarify, its not actually the knobs but the thing underneath that my husband has had to replace ever since to our expense and time. Also in less than a year the paint under the knobs totally fell off. We contacted them about that and the reply was paint wasnt covered under warranty. Obviously they used heat resistant paint on the range top because that is perfect condition even with the constant cleaning, but the angled front where the knobs are I had to sand and repaint, not a good look for the stove. They really couldnt have just used the heat resistant paint for 2 1/2 farther? Just horrible quality and worse service. Called Whirlpool customer care for help with identifying make and model number of a slide-in, ceramic cook-top range (one of their popular brands). The representative was cordial, patient and very helpful when it came to giving me directions on how to locate make/model information on the unit. That was until I let her know about a recent problem with the stove. The edge of the cooktop is much too sharp! My hand got cut while wiping down the stove top/adjacent counter. Although Ive had the stove for a while, Id never had that happen before; thats probably because I used a thin rag this time around to do the cleaning. I asked the rep if anyone else had reported getting cut by the stove top. She said, No. I let her know that my goal was to just them know about the situation, because such a sharp edge on a cooktop is a safety issue. She disagreed. But what could or should she have said? In all fairness, it came down to balancing loyalty to the company with genuine care for the customer.I do appreciate how kind she was in communicating with me, but am very displeased that once Id shared about the problem she seemed rather dismissive of the situation. How could the risk of being cut NOT be a product safety issue??? If you visit the Consumer Products Safety Commission website, you can see where risk of laceration is a reason some products are recalled. Based on that understanding, I would say that sharp edges on a ceramic cooktop IS a safety issue!

People should consider themselves lucky to get 2 yrs, 1yr, 6 mos out of these pieces of junk. Mine replaced an 8 year old Bradford White that was originally installed when the house was built. Funny thing, we had the exact same BW in our last house. Same problem after exactly 8 years - tank leaked. Anyway, this Whirlpool 40 gal gas was installed by a professional plumber ($200) and ran fine for 6 days before the pilot went out the 1st time. In the next 10 days it went out 9 more times until it wouldnt stay lit at all. I would light the pilot and it would be out in 5 min or less. I watched for the error code the last time - 2 flashes which indicated thermocouple low voltage. This is totally ridiculous. After research - which I should have done before I bought - it looks like a total bad design problem with associated customer service nightmares and much additional cost to the customer. AND EVERYONE WHO MAKES AND SELLS THESE THINGS KNOWS ABOUT IT. Attempting to fix this thing - even IF labor was included - looks like throwing good money after bad. When are these companies going to be held accountable for producing cheap poorly designed products and then let the consumer foot the cost of labor and/or replacement. You can say all you want about less government but this is just a small example of what you get when you have less government. Doing further research, it looks like NO manufacturer of gas water heaters can produce a reliable product now. So now, Im installing a Bradford White ELECTRIC water heater. Thats and extra $250 for the electrical service that needs to go in. AND additional for the actual install by a plumber. At least Lowes is not giving me a hard time about getting all my money back for the Whirlpool since its less than 30 days since the purchase. I guess I should consider myself lucky it malfunctioned almost immediately. Total out of pocket on the initial Whirlpool install: $560. Total out of pocket with reinstall of BW Electric: $1000. My time spent on this mess: priceless. At least we will have hot water, even though it will cost more per month in electricity to do it. Thanks Whirlpool - stay classy.

My husband and I purchased a new Maytag top load washing machine from Best Buy in May 2017. On June 19th, a month later, as I am washing, all of a sudden the machine dies down. I checked everything from the outlet, the plug to the circuit breaker, and nothing seemed to help get my washer to start up again. Unfortunately I had wet clothes inside and the lid is one of those that locks itself and it would not open. :( I called Whirlpool/Maytag to explain my situation and could not believe that they told me that they only have 1 authorized appliance repair dealer they work with in my area and that they didnt show any available appointments until 4 weeks from now? WHAT? Are you kidding me? I could not wait that long, especially since I had soaking wet clothes sitting inside the washer.I asked if I called someone else myself and have it repaired sooner, would they reimburse me for the expenses. They refused to do that and told me I need to wait for their own authorized repair dealers. Talk about bad customer service here :( My husband called them back and asked to speak to a supervisor at Whirlpool and was told that it shouldnt have to be that long for us to wait for repair so why was I told that in the first place? The supervisor proceeded to tell my husband that we will get a call back in 5 days? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? 5 days just for someone to CALL us? And then have to wait longer to get our service done? No way!We think that Whirlpool sold Best Buy a lemon and we are paying for it! Why cant they say that they will get in touch with Best Buy so they can deliver a new working machine and take this lemon back? We are not happy with their responses so we will be paying Best Buy a visit to see what else we can do. I already spent unnecessary money to go to a laundromat to wash clothes :( I would recommend that people stay away from Whirlpool products. Well see if we can exchange ours for another brand.

My husband and I bought a brand new front load washer and dryer set in 2011. We have had nothing but issues since the day they were delivered. First off the dryer, needed to be repaired after one load of laundry just went through. We were told that the thermostat went bad... needless to say we have replaced that one thing 4 times since we purchased them. Secondly the washer, this makes me so mad. I have 3 children, 2 of them have allergies and Asthma. I clean my washer regularly with vinegar and a special front loader liquid. I have mold in the areas where I put the liquids in. I have to take them apart every week to make sure they are clean. I leave the drawer open to air dry when Im finished with laundry for the day. I leave the door open and I still get mold everywhere. I do laundry on a daily basis, this should not be happening. Im so disappointed with this brand and I will never buy them again!

I bought my first Cabrio set in 2008 to replace Maytags that lasted forever but looked their age on the outside. No problem with cleaning and drying, just wanted something new. What a mistake! I looked in Consumer Report Guide to pick and found the Cabrio set. Had problems after the first 4 months - UL uneven load codes flashing up, and had to replace suspensions and bearings, boards, etc. Unfortunately within that 4 months I bought another Cabrio set to put in my vacation home. Started with the same issues and really hard to get a service technician to come out because of where we were located. Customer service with Whirlpool sucks as well as Sears service. It is AMAZING to me that Whirlpool will NOT stand behind this product. I am writing this as I see an F1 code flashing on my washer here at my second home. I have a load of towels in it and house guests arriving in the morning! I will be trashing this washer and dryer and finding something old school and reliable. I want no bells and whistles, just clean and dry clothes. Whirlpool, you should be ashamed.

First whirlpool 3 door with ice maker in door failed in less than a year. Took 6 months to resolve issue, several service calls, at least 30 calls to Lowes and Whirlpool with little or no response. Nobody wanted to take responsibility to do something about my broken fridge. Even the authorized repair guy didnt want to touch it, didnt want to ruin his reputation because they wont stay fixed. Another service guy wanted to take it to the shop to repair, of course I would be responsible for pickup and delivery charge. Found out the repair was an in home repair, so didnt use that guy, I felt like he was trying to rip me off.I finally got to the right people in whirlpool organization and they replaced the fridge, that took another two weeks. I found everything takes two weeks. The replacement was supposed to be same model with upgrade, this is gold series fridge Ive been talking about. New fridge has failed also, seems like same symptoms. It lasted 1 yr and 4 or 5 months. I guess not too bad for a top of the line refrigerator, made by Whirlpool. Gonna give them a chance to make it right or I am considering hauling it around in my truck with a sign on it. Not trying to punish the distributor, just Whirlpool. This product is so bad the government should step in and force Whirlpool to give money back.

On 12/27/2013 I bought a Whirlpool hot water heater from Lowes Model NU50T122-403. On 12-13-2015 the pilot went out. When I called tech support on 12-14-2015 they gave number what were call centers or person who returned the calls. So I called a local plumber that I used before. He came out and told me that had to replace the pilot. On the 16th 2015 of Dec. that did not work and told us the heater needed to be replaced. The replacement will happen today I hope with little to no help from Whirlpool. I would advise you to do your homework before you buy a Whirlpool hot water heater.

It gets the job done. Its no power washer, but the dishes get pretty clean and dry nicely. I have no idea how dirty the dishes can be and still get cleaned, since Im weird and pre-wash my dishes. Its stainless steel and black, and has quite a few wash and dry settings, including an option for heated or unheated dry. The utensil rack is attached to the door of the washer and cant be moved. Two levels, and pretty easy to do dish tetris with. No offense to most standard dishwashers – I need a washer about 3 times the normal size due to a passion for cooking. Its slick and matches my ultra-modern, borderline-Swedish interior.

We bought this washing machine from Lowes 5/15 and from the beginning have noticed that clothes especially dark fabrics come out of the washer with white fuzz or sediment on them. They need to be washed again and the fuzz isnt removed with a lint brush. I called whirlpool and they told me to use fabric softener. I dont like adding chemicals to my wash due to a skin condition. Lowes say they have never heard this complaint but clearly others have experienced this problem from the above reviews. Dont buy this washer. It doesnt clean your clothes. The only thing the customer representatives from Whirlpool wanted was to sell me an extended warranty. Why would I want that when the washer doesnt even clean clothes?

The exhaust fan for the gas range runs when using the microwave. The noise is loud and very aggravating and there is no way to turn it off. From what I can find the older models there was an option to turn it off. On the new models Whirlpool cut costs by not putting a small (QUIET) fan in the microwave but used the range fan for a dual purpose.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7340XW washer is a piece of junk! I have had issues since the day I bought it and havent even had some of the failed parts that other people are talking about. It does not save water. I went from 5000 gal to 13000 gal in one month! It doesnt wash clothes. Everything comes out with the same spots they went in with and then some. Light colors come out with what looks like grease spots and whites come out with black spots. I have had it five months and have used six of the monthly cleaning tabs. Clothes get tangled and torn because of the speed of the spin cycle even on delicate. This unit needs to be recalled and redesigned or customers should be offered a different washer of their choice within the price range of this unit.

Add us to the list of those whose Whirlpool Cabrio washer has failed. First, it was the infamous circuit board at a cost of $475 installed. Now, the tub bearing is apparently beginning to fail given the machines new propensity to roar like a freight train during the spin cycle. A letter to Whirlpool resulted the too bad ** letter that everyone else has gotten. This really should be a class action suit money-maker for some attorney. So now the question: Throw good money after bad hoping to get an additional couple of years out of it or bite the bullet and buy some reliable brand?Never again a Whirlpool, thats for sure. I pointed out to them that in the age of the internet, they wont go unpunished for this but theyre nothing if not shortsighted. An $800 machine requiring $475 worth of repairs and apparently soon to need another $500 worth of repairs. Whats wrong with this picture?

We bought a Cabrio washer less than three years ago. I have never felt that it got my clothes clean. The washer recently stopped spinning and agitating. We were told by a very experienced repair technician today that the gear case and bearings in the tub need to be replaced at a cost of $700.00. Needless to say, I am very upset. I called the Whirlpool Company and after being on hold for almost 15 minutes, I was told that my washer is too old to qualify for any help with repair cost or part replacement. My household consists of two adults. We do on average three loads a week. This is an inferior appliance and after this experience I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

We purchased KitchenAid Model YKESS907SS05 Electric Range from Appliance Canada April 2012, just before we took possession of our new home. We began using the range in July of that year and it worked well until September 11, 2014. At that time we decided to use one of the features of the range which is the self-clean feature. During which the control panel failed and our oven ceased to work.We contacted Appliance Canada and they suggested a technician come to assess. We called the suggested number and they send a technician that was not Whirlpool certified and we had to pay out of pocket for the visit $158. He did absolutely nothing during the visit. We then called Whirlpool Canada and they informed us that he was not Whirlpool certified and to call Appliance Canada, we immediately called Appliance Canada and made arrangements to have certified technician come to assess. Whirlpool Canada also indicated at that time that the board that failed was still under warranty and we should not have to pay. September 22nd the second technician came to assess the situation, used tape to cover the front blowing air duct so as not to have the hot air blow back onto the control panel. This was a temporary fix, they ordered a control panel in the interim that they would then use to replace. The control panel came in October the 22nd, was replaced and the new board was faulty, put old one back in and re-ordered another board. The part was on back-order. By mid November, after numerous calls, we called Whirlpool directly. They authorized that the technician to get the part from another supply source. On November the 26th, technician came back - tried new board could not get it to work, left it with us and ordered additional parts. At that time the technician who was taking the case had a family emergency and would not be able to come back out until the new year. Subsequently, Appliance Canada authorized a new company to resume our work with a new technician (Toronto Appliance). He came out December the 17th, with the board that was left behind, he was able to get the oven working. December the 22nd while in the middle of cooking a meal, the oven failed again. We called Appliance Canada and they had a Technician scheduled to come December the 24th from Toronto Appliance. However, on December the 23rd the oven resumed working. The Technician came on the 24th but because the oven was working again could do nothing. On December the 31st, while dinner was in for guests, the oven failed yet again. We called Appliance Canada, yet again, and they scheduled another visit with a new control panel and additional board. The technician arrived again today, January the 28th, and could not get the stove working. He was instructed to order an additional part and we are to wait another 2 weeks. In total, we have been waiting for 4 and a half months, we have also been told that we were not to have used the self-clean as this causes these types of problems. Why is it offered, in addition, Whirlpool has not supported our direct calls, nor authorized the replacement of a product, that for all intents and purposes, is faulty. We have had no success in the resolution of this issue nor support to reach a resolution from all parties involved. I would suggest not buying any product from those involved as their lack of support for their product is appalling.

The inside of the washing machine is going to fall apart because of the rust at the bleach holder. I saw some of the complaints. Is there any way we (consumers) can sue Whirlpool for selling defective units? We are from all across America and there is no way we should all have the same complaint. Had them come out numerous times and last guy changed out entire motherboard to no avail. Freezer side freezes and then thaws. Now it is just a two sided refrigerator. Before Thanksgiving I was promised new refrigerator and none arrive after phone calls. No refrigerator for thanksgiving. None for Christmas. Finally today at 7:00 this evening January 17 2020 it arrives. I am suppose to be in bed. I have two terminal illnesses. I moved out boxes of stuff out of refrigerator. Installer came in and said I had to move stuff on the porch that they are not allowed to. I get all done, finally sit down and he comes in and says there’s a big ding in bottom of refrigerator. No idea when another refrigerator would come. Who is going to put all my furniture back? Who is going to put my food back in my refrigerator. I bought the entire Whirlpool package Made In America. I should have went cheaper and bought from China. Now there’s trouble with dishwasher and they have been out once already for that. I could worry about taking care of my health if I didn’t spend all my time dealing with whirlpool. Maybe they can bury me in the refrigerator and my daughter won’t have to buy a coffin. I make 1000 a month on disability and get 16 dollars in food stamps. I have thrown 1000s of dollars away after motherboard was fixed. I went and my friend helped and bought new groceries. One day took out a frozen burrito and as I was putting it in microwave I noticed it had mold all over it. Another food dump. Whirlpool pool answering phone says whirlpool cares. Well they don’t care about me.

Beware to those who are in the market for a new washing machine. I am reviewing the product not the retailer. The lack of the agitator on the machine has left the consumer very agitated! I have called Whirlpool in the first year at least three times for them to come look at it and see the pictures of the clothes. It rips but the response basically is, “It cant be helped maam.” Here is what it does: When you do a load of shirts the sleeves tangle so much your clothes rip You can do approximately 3- towels or it won’t spin correctly. A load takes forever! Now I have been doing laundry for over 40 years so I know how to do a load and I have never been so disappointed in a product I could not return, why you ask because they say there is nothing wrong with the machine. Dont do it! So Whirlpool get a 0 star rating from me but I have to give it one for this review to move forward.

How would you like to be without a refrigerator for 10+ days? How do you justify 10 days without a service tech being available for what I call an emergency! Either you need to hire more technicians or make BETTER products. My suggestion is have a supervisor go out to a call first and access the problem. My case, a tech shows up after waiting 10 days, to tell me my refrigerator needs all the parts. Which means Ill have to wait probably another 2-3 weeks for the parts to arrive. Im sure the parts werent ordered to be expedited. Im beyond furious. We lost everything in our freezer. Doesnt stay frozen in coolers. When we purchased the refrigerator, just under two years ago, the service tech was out three separate times because our ice maker kept going on the blink. Finally, I purchased ice maker, because your refrigerator only makes ice when it wants. Not reliable! Second problem, the lights in refrigerator & freezer went out. Real smart to install LED lights that can only be replaced by a technician. Insane for the consumer. (Cost of lights replaced w/o warranty contract is $100). DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU ENJOY MISERY!!Why would you put glossy black finish on front of refrigerator, and the sides have black texture, where you cant see fingerprints. Has to be cleaned daily! Hope you can rectify the problem before two more weeks pass. Model: WRS322FDAB. SERIAL#: HR72710418. Not a fan of your lemon of refrigerator. Whirlpool Double wall-mounted Oven model#WOD51EC7AW05. Have had nothing but
Whirlpool Double wall-mounted Oven model#WOD51EC7AW05. Have had nothing but problems (at least 7 problems). The 1st one is a potential fire hazard. Porcelain/enamel shattered on bottom interior panel of BOTH ovens in less than 60 days (exposing underlying metal to rust). Cracked in an odd stress-pattern that indicates the metal expanded during heating, and the porcelain finish did not tolerate the expansion. The lower oven had only been used 2X before I noticed the fracture pattern. Obviously faulty design; a manufacturers defect. Whirlpool claims it is cosmetic damage and when porcelain eventually flakes off, they will send me touch-up paint. (If I dent the outside of an appliance with my wheelchair, thats cosmetic damage. Its a manufacturers defect if the damage happens during normal operation. The appliance damaged itself, not the user.)The preheat function does not work on either oven. The oven indicates it is 350-degrees, when it is actually 125-degrees. Repairman says this is normal; ignore the indicator and navigate by store-bought thermometers”. The temperature can vary 50 degrees on either side of the actual setting (thats a 100 degree range!). Between the faulty preheat and the wide range in temperature, it makes it very hard to bake bread or cake. The rest are annoying problems: The timer is a single “beep” (not even very loud), followed by another single beep every minute. This is not much help if you are folding laundry while the cookies bake. The windows have so many dots on them theyre not clear enough to see how the food is cooking (or read the store-bought thermometers) without opening the doors. The oven produces a lot of steam that fogs up the windows (Ive never had this happen, and Im past the half century point). The exhaust fan is loud and it blows hot air into the drawer under the oven (another potential fire hazard). Dont buy this oven. It has several design flaws and Whirlpool does not stand behind their product.

I have been unhappy with my Whirlpool Cabrio washer since I purchased it from Lowes. I should have looked online before I bought it and then I would not have made the mistake of buying it. The washer leaves soap deposits on the clothes and sometimes leaves a colored soil. It has ruined numerous clothing by tearing out hems of towels and wash cloths and tore a hole in a favorite sweater. I prefer an agitator in my washer. I bought a brand new washer from Home Depot, Whirlpool 4.3 cu High Efficiency Top Load Washer to be exact. It hasnt even been 90 days and it started to make the loud, horrible noise so we had someone come and look at it. Apparently the transmission blew and the oil leaked all over my tile floor. I work full time and I do laundry only on the weekends and there is only two people living in the house so you can imagine we do not use it that much. I went to Home Depot first and since it was past 30 days we had to called Whirlpool direct. The customer service is horrible. I thought since the transmission blew, they would replace the entire machine since that is the brain of it. NOPE! They said to replace the entire machine and give us a new one, it would have to break 3 times. Are you kidding me? They did not offer to reimburse the tile damage or the amount of money I had to spend at the laundromat. Not to mention its been over a week and the guy still has not come out and fixed the transmission. It would not be a big deal to me if the hose broke or something simple, but imagine if you bought a BRAND NEW car and the transmission broke 60 days after you bought it. You would take it back to get a new car. The customer service line could not care less about the issue. Whirlpool Energy Saver Dishwasher Model DU850SWPS3 was placed in our new home purchased in May of 2010. We just found that this dishwasher had a slow leak in the seal to the motor which has ruined our hardwood floor, subflooring and part of a laminate beam on the floor directly below the washer, plus molding from the water. The leak has been going on sometime it was not noticed until the floor became so soaked from use over a long period of time that we finally saw the leak, by accident, in the basement which we hardly access. The Whirlpool costumer service was no help and would not entertain repairing the dishwasher unless we paid due to the fact it is over the year warranty. This is clearly a defective part in their product and poor workmanship on their part. We should not have to check underneath our new appliances to determine if we have leaking problems because we cannot trust them from failing. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product and will not recommend their products to anyone.

In June 2003, I purchased a Whirlpool Gold Conquest Side-by-Side satina finish refrigerator (Model Number: GAS6SHAXLL03; Serial Number: SP1452552). The ice-maker has always had freezing up issues which I never complained to the company about. It has made weird noises (nothing major) but was already out of warranty. I paid $1,600-1,700 for it. I did not have the money to pay for repairs and I am sure that the repairman would have never found the problem. Two days ago, there was an electrical smell in the house. After an hour or two, it started getting stronger and stronger so my husband looked at the fridge. There was smoke pouring at the back of it so he pulled it away from the wall and we unplugged it. Surprisingly, the plug was not hot. Had I not been home, it could have caught fire, burned the house down and killed my dog! I am furious about this. When I called, Whirlpool says, That model is not under a recall. Would you like me to transfer you to service for repair? Really? Those big corporations dont care! There needs to be a recall on this because I have seen this same problem many times on blogs and forums. Well, guess what, I used to be a Whirlpool fan, not anymore! Now, I went and purchased a new refrigerator, and the brand name is Samsung! I recently bought a Samsung front loading washer and dryer and they are great. It looks like the Whirlpool dishwasher in my kitchen will be next! I bet Samsung makes a nice dishwasher.

55 Gal Electric New in 2003 / Limited Lifetime Warranty - I paid quite a bit more initially at Lowes for this unit. Its stainless lined. I have had numerous problems since purchase. I had to replace the sensing element in the Smart Box in 2006. Then the lights started flashing again making a humming sound in the box. I took each piece apart in smart box and cleaned them, which seemed to help. Then the upper element that is also stainless that requires a special wrench to replace went bad according to the blinking lights. Lights stopped after several resets. Now, the water is boiling out of the top of heater and they tell me its the seal in the element that I never replaced. The cover for the element is off. Water cannot possibly build up and force out the top of the cover of tank. I am not an idiot, yet they tell me that is most likely the problem. They didnt listen to me long enough to properly assess my concern. Every plumber I talk to says its the separation of the liner inside the heater. Nonetheless, I have a water problem now in the basement and have never heard back from Whirlpool as promised with troubleshooting guide on an email. I am sick of calling and getting the runaround with every issue. The warranty is horrible for the consumer. Sure, you have a limited lifetime warranty, but when you cant get proper information when you need it, what good is it? Made in America is why I bought the product. I also need a new washer but will not be searching in the Whirlpool line due to their lack of care with an important issue with my heater.

We bought a Cabrio washing machine two years ago. I have had to have a repairman out twice for it shooting water out of the top (from a top-loading machine). They repaired that and its better. But this goes off balance ALL the time. I cant even wash a load of towels without it going off balance. We bought this one as it was supposed to handle large blankets and even my lightweight king size comforters. Yeah. Did once or twice, then started the off-balance stuff. It grows MOLD in the bleach, softener, and detergent dispensers.I wrote to the company and included pictures. They were really rude about it. I finally found how to remove the dispensers to clean them, but it is very difficult. I HATE this machine and will never buy a Whirlpool again. (Our refrigerator, which was in our house when we bought it, is also a Whirlpool. It is poorly designed and collect dust in the coils UNDER the thing and you cannot reach them to clean it. Coils are behind other pieces that block being able to clean them.) Whirlpool is a horrible company and doesnt stand behind their products, in my experience.

I bought the Cabrio Platinum Set approximately 3 yrs ago. These is the worst products I have bought ever. The dryer didnt dry properly since day 1 w/the energy saver setting. I have always had to run a time dry in order to get properly dried clothing. Sometimes things still come out damp. The washer well the washer as I said the WORST product EVER. Approximately 3 yrs old and it leaks all over my laundry room unless surrounded by towels to suck up the water. During the wash it has the worst smell ever. And while spinning it jumps around and is so loud, you can hear it all through my 3 story home. We have complained we have written, emailed, called and have been offered nothing. I can honestly say I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product again ever. The least they could do is stand by their product. For the price of this set it should have lasted much much longer. I had a Kenmore washer and dryer set that we bought it was not even top of the line I would say probably a cheaper model of theirs that lasted 10+ yrs we bought it brand new and my friend bought it when I changed to a front loader which by the way was one of the cheaper ones but was still better than this piece of **. It started breaking about 1 yr after we bought it. We have already fixed a few things but will not spend another dime on it. Now its not even cleaning. I now have to buy yet another washer. From what I have read either Whirlpool needs to up their game or just go out of business.

We bought all new appliances Stove, Frig., Microwave, and Washing machine. The washing machine does not get the clothes clean. Most of the time it either does not put enough water in to get the clothes wet or it will not spin. We had it less than six months and had to call for a repairman and to this day it is not any better. The Frig. we bought is noisy and makes a high pitch sound that sounds like a motorcycle taking off. We had everyone over at thanksgiving only to find out the ice maker had stopped working. The microwave does not heat very well at all and at times if you open the door before it has stopped it continues to run. Everything was purchased at the same time from Lowes about a year ago. I will never purchase another whirlpool appliance.

We bought a Whirlpool side by side at the end of August 2017. In March of 2018 - the day after I got the letter about extending my warranty - they had to replace the diffuser - it was making a horrid noise and freezing my eggs and milk. This part went again in July. I insisted they extend my warranty which they did - until March 2019. The part went again in November. I again demanded an extension - now it is guaranteed until June 2019. I asked about replacement and was told that as long as it was reparable they would not replace it. This part is dying every four months. The first few times I called, the hold recording touted a repair app - that did not give me much confidence in the company.

In 2099, I purchased a Whirlpool Gold from Lowes. It has never cleaned my dishes, especially the pots and pans. My dishes also have a powder coating on them after various cleaning cycles that I have tried. I have tried every detergent available. The repairman suggested a detergent, which I already tried. He told me that the dishwasher uses only 1.9 gallons of water in total. That confirmed what I thought the problem was, not enough water! It is a design problem that cannot be fixed. I have bought Whirlpool for years but not in the future.

No help whatsoever. I then fought with Whirlpool for weeks until they agreed to replace the unit. Seven months later, the floor of the bottom oven, once again, cracked and shattered. I am now in another dogfight with Whirlpool. This appliance is garbage and Whirlpool does not stand by their product. Do not buy any Double Ovens from Whirlpool. Two years ago, we bought a Whirlpool gas range, model WFG361LVQ2. The range-top grates were porcelain-coated, smooth and shiny. The range itself has worked flawlessly (Admittedly, it gets only light use in our elderly household, which consists of me and my wife). The only complaint I have is that the porcelain on the grates is failing. On one of the grates, its flaking off where the flame contacts with it during cooking (Photos attached). On another two, the porcelain has developed a surface roughness thats clearly a prelude to same type of damage as the first. The fourth grate still appears to be intact. The differences in damage is no doubt due to the different amount of use that each receives. When I called Whirlpool, a supervisor there told me that grates have no specific life expectancy, and that is true for plain metal grates as well has porcelain-coated grates. She also said that some chemicals can penetrate the porcelain and shorten its life. I told her we didnt use any chemicals on the grates, but only rarely used common kitchen scouring powder, and I cant imagine the powder or the chlorine in the powder could do that kind of damage. When I asked what it would cost to replace the four grates, she said $187. I told her the entire stove cost about $500, and it didnt make sense to pay almost $200 to buy grates every two years for the next thirty years. I told her that the grates on our previous (non-Whirlpool) range lasted the life of the range - about forty years. So I declined to purchase new grates, despite her offer of a one-time discount of 25%. Though the grates are becoming eyesores, theyre still perfectly usable. So Ill hang onto them until I can find some bare metal ones to replace them.

Have had this washer for one year. Clothes have never been clean since day one. Dark clothes come out with white marks all over. Having to use an extra rinse cycle or set on bulky items - whats the point of a high efficiency appliance? Still not clean after that anyways. Stains such as chocolate and toothpaste still remain after washing and my husband complains of finding small holes in his clothes. Lid needs to be left open at all times or you get a funky smell. I am using the HE liquid detergent, even tried a cold water product for cold washes. I hate this washer. Wish I had my 20 year old Kenmore still.

Near 3 years ago we purchased this side by side going by how good Whirlpool products are supposed to be. Recently the bottom freezer started frosting up and not clearing. Tried all suggestions in the manual. Could not find any information online. The manual was useless. I went online to Whirlpool support 3 different times asking for help. Never got a reply. The racket it made was driving us crazy. It short cycled since it was frosting up. Set up an appointment online. They got that correct and responded quickly. Go figure. The tech came was very nice & professional. No warranty. Find out they only provide a one year warranty. That is absolutely nuts. A refrigerator should last 15 years with no major problems. Should not have needed a $500.00 extended warranty for a $1,300.00 refrigerator. Turned out 2 components needed replacing. Cost just over $400.00. Now were worried it is going to fail again in who knows how long. Whirlpool used to be a respected brand. Never again will we buy a Whirlpool product. 1 year warranty show you they know how cheap they are building their products.

Four years ago, I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator - French doors (ice and water in the door) and freezer bottom drawer. Against everyone but the HH Greggs salesmans advice, I purchased the extended warranty as I had paid a large sum of money for the refrigerator. Within a year, I began experiencing problems with the ice maker. Over the next few years, I had to have it repaired/replaced an additional three times. Add to the whole mess the incompetency of the A & E Repairmen that required at least two visits each time to complete a repair and their inability to arrive during a 9 hour window, I stayed livid about my refrigerator for three long years. Finally, I demanded a replacement refrigerator under the lemon portion of my warranty. After numerous arguments, the warranty company offered me several different makes and models to pick to replace my hunk of junk. Stupidly thinking that my problems were related to one bad unit, I selected another Whirlpool only to have it completely crash a little over one year after acquiring it. I lost the food in it and am having to wait almost a month for the parts to arrive and the repairman to return. According to him, it will have to be completely rebuilt. I will never, never buy another Whirlpool!

I came here to see if others have had problems with their Whirlpool Cabrio top load washers. I was amazed at how many others forked over nearly a grand ($1000 with tax and extended warranty) for such a heap of nothing. I have lived in the same house for over 35 years, same water supply with water softener. Over this time, I have raised my family and been lucky enough to only go through two washers until 2 years ago when I purchased this Whirlpool Cabrio machine at Lowes. As with others, clothes do not get cleaned. Residue is present and in the creases of the tightly spun and tangled load. After calling Whirlpool and Lowes on nearly day one of my original purchase, no concern was given. Instead, I received the What type of detergent or Could it be your water supply? or What degree of soil does your family have on their garments? A white terry cloth washcloth should not come out grey, even after bleach! My GE and Maytags of the past always did fantastic jobs. They just plain old wore out. As for my new energy efficient machine that takes 86 minutes to wash a load, with expensive HE detergent, an oxy clean pouch, special fabric softeners, I scratch my head wondering how can this be efficient? If a pair of jeans needs pre-soaking, it cant be done in this washer. Instead, I spray the jeans with pre-soak, add my HE products, then fill a mop bucket full of water and dump into the machine 5 minutes after the 86-minute session has started. What a joke! For two years plus, I have vented to my poor husband who thought he was buying me a new innovative state of the art machine to make my life easier. I only wish there was somewhere or someone that I could contact to get some satisfaction for my agony with this poor quality product! Yes, I am venting. I dont have another thousand dollars to spend for a new machine. Believe me, if there were to be a class action lawsuit for this lemon, I would be first to sign up!

I traced it to the hot water heater and discovered the wires in the Energy Smart were melted and burned. I checked with Two Electricians who told me that the wires in the unit can not handle the high heat and melt. If you have one get rid of it. There was still grease running down the door and walls. Nothing was changed after two cleaning cycles. Now I have to crawl inside the oven and scrub it manually. I was always pleased with the old self cleaning ovens which only left some ash and a little bit to clean up. I purchased a 50 Gal. Whirlpool gas water heater on Saturday, 12/31 to replace a 20-yr old unit that had failed. The unit was installed that day and it started right up but I noticed the burner had gone out about an hour later and the status light indicated FV Sensor Lockout. I tried calling Whirlpool but their customer service was closed. I tried troubleshooting myself using manuals and Internet forums without success. Everything I could find indicated that an FV Sensor failure could not be repaired and would require replacement parts. I called Lowes and was told they could not help me and I would need to talk to Whirlpool.I called Whirlpool again Sunday, 1/1, but they were closed again for the Holiday. I called two plumbers and both told me that the Whirlpool units were problematic and that if they did come out, there would be little they could do except charge me a lot of money and recommend parts to order as Whirlpool does not let them stock parts. Both plumbers also suggested that I consider buying another brand. So I went to Home Depot and purchased another brand with similar specs. I installed it that day and it fired up right away and has been running fine ever since.I talked to Whirlpool on Monday, 1/2, and they told me they would not issue an RMA for a unit that they considered usable. They also told me there was an FV Sensor reset procedure that they would have walked me through had I been able to talk to them that would have bypassed the sensor until a replacement could be installed. I told them that if they would publish this procedure in their manuals or on the Internet, I would have certainly done that. Im now fighting with both Whirlpool and Lowes to get a resolution to this problem. Im not sure about other Whirlpool products but their Water heaters seem to be very problematic.

Their water heater is the worst ever! I will never buy another Whirlpool product. We purchased our water heater on January 17, 2010. We had to have the entire electronic system replaced in August 2011, including the lower element, control unit, thermisol, and electronic. Now, just a few short months later, the system is not working again, plus, the containment unit failed, flooding our basement. When we called Whirlpool, we were treated callously and rudely. Now, we have to pay to have the old unit removed, and a new one installed (they told us to throw it in our trunk and return it to Lowes, as if). Why did we pay to have this warranty when both the product, and the warranty are junk? Never, ever again! While Im at it, I should add that our range, and refrigerator are also made by Whirlpool, and those too, are pieces of junk. I guess were bucking up, and scheduling a new installation. If there are any further problems, I will be contacting an attorney.

Replaced an old water heater with new Whirlpool 40 gal. short natural gas water heater N40561-403. Good instruction, very clear directions. Also purchased at Lowes was a Utilitech universal gas water heater installation kit. The nipples provided in the kit screwed very loosely into cold water inlet and hot water outlet. I used teflon tape and finished the installation. When I turned the water on both fittings leaked. This is my third Whirlpool refrigerator. The first two lasted about 20 year
This is my third Whirlpool refrigerator. The first two lasted about 20 years each, and although not fancy, they were always serviceable. This one is different.Because of my kitchen cabinets, the only refrigerator with as much storage capacity (cu ft) as my old one was what seemed to be an almost identical Whirlpool, with the only exception being a slight difference in the ice maker. But this one is a disaster. The water/ice dispenser has been changed to one with one space only for your container. The water that comes out is warm, because the routing of the tube has been changed and it no longer goes through the chilled refrigerator space; the ice pours out so hard that usually half of it lands on the floor. In order to operate the dispenser using anything with less than a 4 diameter, you need two hands: One to depress the lever behind your glass and one to hold the glass farther away from the refrigerator. Failure to do that results in a wet mess. After dispensing crushed ice, it continues to send small pieces flying long after I change the switch to cubes. But that is the least inconvenience. In an apparent engineering change to meet energy efficiency, the new refrigerator recycles air from the freezer to the refrigerator compartment. That and other changes in the frost-free engineering have resulted in:Uneven cooling in the refrigerator. In fact, it froze $1800 worth of insulin pens. I was advised by the Whirlpool representative that I shouldnt have put them on the shelf where the vent from the freezer spews out freezing air. Spoiled food in the freezer. Everything in the freezer develops a thick coating of ice crystals within a short time. This dries out the meat, shrinks the popsicles, and destroys the quality of fish and fowl. At this moment, I have two pork chops that defrosted in a plastic container on my kitchen counter. I bought them fresh, and now the 10-12 oz. of pork is swimming in over 1/2 c. of water.Interior fittings are poorly made and shelves and drawers do not work easily. The allegedly stainless exterior is difficult to clean, and many reviewers have remarked that they find rust within a few months. I could go on. There is more poor engineering, and an array of noises filling the kitchen, but you get the picture. I wish I could trash this refrigerator and buy a good one, but that isnt feasible both because of budgetary and space constraints. The last service person who came out sighed and told me that the refrigerator was cold, and that meant that the unit was operating okay! I HATE this refrigerator and struggling with it from day to day. My hope is that no one will buy a Whirlpool ever again. I certainly wont.Updated on 12/05/2017: Whirlpool, faced with my wrath over a refrigerator set on LOW that froze $1800 worth of insulin, provided a replacement (25 Cu Ft side-by-side refrigerator). I have owned two previous Whirlpool refrigerators -- for 20 years each -- as well as other Whirlpool major appliances. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCE. The replacement is deficient in every design and functional aspect I can think of. Temperature is uneven in both freezer and refrigerator. Food in the freezer is coated with snow within a week and dried out and spoiled within a month. Ice comes out with such force that it ricochets out of the glass and around the floor. Water from the dispenser is warm. Leafy vegetables spoil within 2 days. Whirlpool sent technicians who informed me that the unit was working properly because it was cold. PIECE OF JUNK! DONT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY WHIRLPOOL!

We purchase a Whirlpool washer model # WTW5000DWI, SERIAL #C842 43102 ON 10/30/2019 and it has been nothing but a disappointment. We are senior citizens living on a very limit income with several health problems, and cannot go to a washeteria to wash our clothes. We had a washer that lasted over 19 years and when the motor failed I figured it was more practical to purchase a new washer versus repairing this old one. We had a very reputable Whirlpool dealer here and was very helpful and recommended this washer and the price was in our budget! Was that a big mistake, it does not clean the clothes, does not rinse the clothes with using the 2 rinse cycle and still, does not rinse a load of sheets. I bought a large capacity washer so we could wash 2 sheets at a time. Wrong! You cannot get more than a couple inch of water on the Deepwater cycle, so its like washing clothes on a riverbank on rocks, it rubs clothes together. On my wifes good clothes it will cause little balls of fabrics on them, clothes does not smell clean, and if its real dirty clothes, it will not clean or take the stains out. Its water efficient alright, it does not use any water! Its for sale, and I have talked to a lawyer. Whirlpool customer service was no help at all/All they want was to send a dealer to check it out, the only problem if there is nothing wrong with it that will cost me min. of $125.00. Warranty will cover a manufacturing defect, not a design problem which is what this is. I will just go to small claims courts and get my money back and be done with Whirlpool, hell they dont care! I would buy any washer that is cheaper and has an agitator, without a water efficient features and is top loaded model. It does not pay in this world where large manufacturing companies dont care.

I would like for the public to be aware of an issue I have had with my Cabrio Whirlpool washer and the extended warranty service that Whirlpool sells to customers. My Cabrio washing machine is less than three years old and is an inferior product. The circuit board has gone out on my washer twice. Each time my washing machine breaks, it is out of service for three weeks and I have a family of four people. My washing machine broke down with a major circuit board failure for the second time in three years on January 23rd. I called the extended warranty department at Whirlpool and they sent an incompetent repairman to fix my washer. We are going into week 3 of listening to various stories on why it is taking three weeks to source getting a part overnighted to fix our washer. This man has ordered the wrong parts, says he cant come to us because of weather, cant get the parts, etc...I just got off of the phone with the warranty service after speaking with a supervisor and they tell me they cannot source another repairman and we still have to wait. My questions to corporate office at Whirlpool is how long do you have to wait to get a washer repaired and what type of product and extended warranty are you selling to the public? A very inferior washing machine and a very unhappy customer! I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance! BUYER BEWARE, THIS COMPANY HAS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I thank the folks at Whirlpool for building a washer (Cabrio tub bearing failure) that lasted 22 days just shy of four years, better than the Whirlpool Duet that lasted 14 months, tub bearing failure also. Now I have high confidence that Whirlpool pre-engineers failure into every washer they build.

I bought the front load washer 4 years ago. The tub bearing suddenly broke. We have 2 people in the house so the washer is not used more than 4 times a week. I was told it would cost $700.00 to repair. The washer was bought with a stackable dryer. Now Im told they no longer make a washer to go with the dryer. I called Whirlpool/Maytag and they could care less. The explanation I was given is that it is a man-made appliance. That is the worst customer service I have ever gotten. I would never recommend Maytag/Whirlpool. In fact I will highly discourage against it.

Near the beginning of September I started having trouble with my dishwasher. I called for service to be informed it would be a week before someone would be able to see to my broken dishwasher - which of course is a long wait just for a diagnosis call so decided to call another provider to get my dishwasher fixed in a more timely manner. The repair person informed me that it was the control panel but he suggested we call Whirlpool in order to have it fixed as the part should be covered under warranty. Much to my sadness I had to call again for an appointment with Whirlpool to find out I would wait for a week for a repair person to come out even though I already knew it was the control panel and asked them to order the part right away.Sept. 13 repair man from Whirlpool affiliate comes to my house for about 10 minutes to tell me what I already knew - it was control panel and maybe 1 other part. Cost $99.00 for just 10 minutes - Wow! Then the repair person said he would order the part right away /estimated to be back Monday September 19th great! Two weeks go by we have heard nothing about our part or possible repair of our dishwasher. Call Hurst appliance to see what is happening to be informed the panel is on back order - and they have no clue when it will be available. I should call the manufacturer. Call manufacturer to be told part might possibly be available - Oct 5th - from the United States from somewhere out east in Canada. Who knows? Oct 5th comes and goes as of Monday October 11 have heard nothing about my dishwasher and when it will be repaired - phone manufacturer - by the way which is in Tennessee. What a joke! She says the part is still on backorder but that a replacement part for the back ordered part is miraculously available - she couldnt tell me when that came about, so still have no clue when my dishwasher will be fixed. They have offered to reimburse me the $99.00 service call, but seriously should it take over 6 weeks to have your dishwasher fixed. I still have no clue how long it will take for the part to get here and installed. For 2 cents I would return all my KitchenAid appliances but especially my dishwasher. $99.00 does not appease me. I would like them to cover the labour to fix my dishwasher or a new dishwasher. What garbage and asked to talk to someone higher than the supervisor Gabby of the customer service dept. and was told she is the highest person in Whirlpool I could talk to - thats a joke. Shame on Whirlpool!

We bought a new Whirlpool side by side, model # WRS325FNAM00 in March 2014. In less than 48 hours, the freezer box was condensing and water was leaking on the bottom edge. The condensation got worse and worse. Five service calls later, Whirlpool replaced the freezer door--which took six weeks because it had to be manufactured. After the door was installed--no change. Whirlpool replaced the entire refrigerator in June. Guess what? The new one is doing exactly the same thing in exactly the same place. So far it has not gotten worse. Well see, we have only had it a week. But already the service rep has been out to the house and added the silicone gunk to the box in case there is a tiny air leak. Why would a brand new refrigerator have an air leak in the freezer box?

My first time with Whirlpool (Always had GE) but at the suggestion of our builder, we went with Whirlpool and the stainless steel is horrendous. Nothing will clean it or make it look STAINLESS. My refrigerator, dishwasher, double oven, tall vent all look terrible no matter what I use! I have never had this problem before. Im embarrassed to have anyone go into my kitchen...

Three Whirlpool fridges in 5 years. 1. Fridge one three doors replaced still not satisfactory, returned, warranty VOID. 2. Fridge two simply stopped being cold therefore not working 100+ food wasted before year. 3. Fridge three freezer leaking all over floor. Two years old 0 warranty left. I now pay again to repair. I am so beyond WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS and so fuming??? Mad. $$$. 1300.00 to 1500.00 purchases ALL JUNK. NEVER WILL I PURCHASE ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL product. I do own a full file of continuous complaints. Brault & Martineau store Gatineau did the best to help with exchanges, sent repair man who did nothing. Will not deal with them again either.
