I bought my Whirlpool Cabrio Top Loading HE washing machine and dryer duo in February 2009. I carried an additional extra extended warranty for an extra 3 years. Now, at the dispenser where you add the bleach, it has rusted. The rust has gotten so bad the lid has detached from the body of the machine. I cant understand how a machine less than 4 years old could rust so badly. I called Whirlpool to complain and they suggested I get it repaired and my cost. A car that sits outside in rain, sun, snow and hail does not rust in 3 years. I bought the machines from Home Depot. The way Whirlpool has handled this, I will never buy another Whirlpool.

I do not know if my mail would be read or not, but I am writing it just to my satisfaction. I am a doctor (dentist) living in Haridwar. I had bought a Whirlpool fridge around 2-3 years back. I am not sure about the date. I have the bill. I will have to check the exact date. So around 3 months back, the fridge stopped cooling and I lodged a complaint in your customer care center. The engineer turned up, and he said that the compressor was not working and the company will change it. We only have to pay for the gas to be refilled. I said ok. Everything went well for nearly 3 months, then again one fine day, the cooling stopped. I called the companys customer care, and they gave me a complaint number and customer satisfaction number. But nobody turned up for 2 days. I called and called, then after much calling, a guy from the company came and said that the compressor was not working and they have to change it but that it will not be possible for 4 days. After 4 days, he will come.Sir, can you live without a fridge for 4 days and not getting the guarantee that it will be ok in the next 4 days? So, I went to the market bought a Kirloskar compressor, got it fixed, and got the gas filled; and the fridge is working fine now on the same day. This cost me nearly 4500rs, but I am happy that I have solved the problem. Till date, nobody has come to see my problem; and to my utter surprise, I received an SMS from Whirlpool that the customer is not willing to pay. Ha ha ha. My fridge is a double-door 280-liter fridge. What should I do?

Whirlpool gold series bottom freezer unit - We have had numerous problems with this refrigerator. We have had several repairs done on it and have still not solved the problem. The defroster does not work right and we have to unplug it so it will unthaw, then the refrigerator gets cold again. The freezer when it is acting up freezes food and ice cream so hard it is inedible. We have just purchased a different refrigerator. This Whirlpool model has also been discontinued from what I can find. No doubt because of a design flaw. Why are they not responsible for this? We bought this appliance in good faith.

I brought a Whirlpool refrigerator on 2/15/2020, French doors. Bottom freezer. I have had issues with the bottom freezer from day 1!! Ive had gaps in the gasket seal and air was coming from the freezer. This happened 3x. Now there is a build up of frost and ice. STAY AWAY!! Ive never had any issues with Whirlpool until I purchased this updated refrigerator. I should have stuck with my regular top freezer refrigerator. No issues!!

I purchased this washer (Whirlpool Cabrio Model #WTW8000DW) 10-25-17 from Best Buy & now it has no power to the panel at all. The power to the outlet is fine which I can plug a hair dryer in & the hair dryer works. Tried all the reset buttons & options with nothing on the panel working as well as unplugging. Still nothing. It is barely 4 months old & I am very dissatisfied for the amount of money I paid for a high efficiency top loading washer.

This washer has no agitator. Drum will shake back and forth while load of clothes will stay in the same place sliding towards the opposite direction of the movement for 20 minutes. Clothes are not turning, no going up or down, just staying still and not getting washed as expected. Baseball cap and construction worker jeans didn’t washed as it should have been.

I purchased a 40-gal Whirlpool water heater model 40t91-403 last week and paid a plumber to have it installed. The old one (GE 40 gal) worked fine except for a leak. The new one used all of the old connections except the 2-inch in and out pipes. Same connections, hot, cold and gas. At first I got about a quart of hot water and then all cold. Whirlpool changed the valve and cold water pipe (inside the tank) and still the same. They are trying to tell me that the tank is fine - I have a plumbing problem. Two plumbers have told me different, but still they insist. Yes, I am upset. The old GE, even with a leak, performed better!

We bought the Cabrio less than 5 years ago. First of all, a high-efficiency washer should not require an extra rinse after each wash, but this one does. I cant see how thats being efficient. The washer, even for a small load, can take up to 54 minutes, and then when you tack on an extra rinse, its well over an hour, so what you may be saving in water, youre spending in electric and wait time. And then, there is still a soap/water scum left on the clothes, which is only evident on the darker clothing. Now, just recently, the washer is stopping, and NOT unlocking after about a minute into the start cycle. I will have to cancel the wash, turn it off and unplug it before I can get it opened. Im sure its something to do with the electric panel, which after reading the reviews, we are not going to fix, and we are headed out to buy the traditional top loader, NOT high efficiency, which I suspect will still be more efficient than the Cabrio.

Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer: nice job Whirlpool! You designed a washer that breaks if you accidentally wash a coin! For the second time in a few months, were fixing our washer because a coin was in a pocket. The coin gets sucked into the discharge pump and sounds like popcorn popping when it drains. It rattles around the inside of the machine’s pump until it breaks the plastic pump housing. You will know when this happens because there will be water on your floor. Did you ever consider a screen to prevent a coin from ruining the washer? God forbid someone leaves a coin in their pocket. Well, if you leave a coin in your pocket and wash your jeans, it will cost you a repair every time with this hunk of junk. This would be my last Whirlpool. It will actually be cheaper to throw this thing out and buy a new one, since it won’t be the last time a coin accidentally makes it into the washer.

I bought a Whirlpool Partner II 5 and a half years ago. It was always noisy and took very long to run a cycle. It started to malfunction after 2 years. We bought a new computer for it and a new control panel for the touch keys. It still kept not running a cycle fully. We found a YOUTUBE video that showed how to reset the model by pressing a combination of Normal and Heated Dry and that seemed to fix it for 2 years.It has stopped working again. Now it seems that the heating element is out. It doesnt clean at all, a scum film has covered the inside of the dishwasher and even mold spots are appearing. Ive had to wait extremely long times on hold to talk with an agent. My option is to hire a repair tech to come out and repair it and I pay for the parts. Seems like a bad deal since Ive already spent over a hundred on repairing it and a lot of hours. I will never buy a Whirlpool brand appliance again.

I purchased a brand new washing machine and had service come to repair the machine approximately five times within the first year. Every time the machine was repaired, it was for different reasons. I contacted the main office and spoke to a woman named Sherry who is a supervisor and she was very nasty. This is a brand new machine and I feel that it should be replaced with a new one. Sherry said that there was nothing she can do for me. Is there a lemon law for appliances? The machine is used for my son and me only. I have all appliances in my house by General Electric and this is my first and last experience with Whirlpool.

Whirlpool microwave oven a few months old stopped working. Customer service center not helpful with prolonged holds (>30 minutes), no response to email, and amazingly no response to live chat. The 800 number was busy at one point for over an hour. When I finally did get thru, there was no coordination with local repair men, and a factory delay on the parts. I am going on 6 weeks without a functioning microwave and 3 kids at home. Thanks Whirlpool.

We purchased a Whirlpool french door refrigerator 10 months ago. We have had issues with it freezing up and not cool or making Ice. In 10 months we have had repair work done on the same issue 3 different times. This refrigerator has been discontinue at the time of my purchase because whirlpool was aware of all the issues from what the repair people have told me. Shame on me for not researching this refrigerator. Customer service was no help. All they kept saying is that they will keep repairing it under the warranty. DONT buy a whirlpool. Stay far away from this company and anything they make. They do not stand behind the products.

GB2SHDXTS02 - Bought the Unit and an additional 4 yr protection plan. Shortly after the plan expired the plastic drip pan cracked and spilled water all over the laminate floor. It is still bucked from the water. Repairman came out and confirmed the crack, but we were without the refrig for a couple of weeks. Now the top doesnt cool, but the freezer does. Problem probably the defrost system, the fan, the control assy, or the thermistor, but I am too old to fix it myself. My fault for not checking ratings before I bought, but built in obsolescence is obvious here. Whirlpool used to be a good company, but I will never or will my family ever buy another appliance from them.

My Whirlpool washer broke down on July 06, 2014. I contacted the local supplier (Unicomer Trinidad) on July 07, 2014. Their technician came on July 10, 2014. He said that he will have to check and see if they have the part that is needed to repair the machine, they will contact me the next day. No one contacted me. I called on July 14, 2014. I was told that they do not have the part and it has to be order. It will take about 2 weeks for it to reach them, no one contacted me since. I contacted them (Unicomer Trinidad) on August 04, 2014. I was told that they do not have the part and it will take 2-3 weeks to reach them. I did filled out a form on the Whirlpool support site about 2 weeks ago but no one contacted me. I contacting Whirlpool US HQ by telephone, they gave me a number for Whirlpool Florida. I was told that they are responsible for my area but when I try calling the number, it was out of service. When I contacted back Whirlpool US HQ, I was told that they cannot help me check the website for the local representative which I could not find. This washing machine is 10 months old plus I took the extended warranty. It is a Duet WFW94HEXL2 washer.

We purchased a top of the line (we thought) Whirlpool stainless dishwasher 15 months ago from HHGregg. All was fine until 2 weeks ago - it produced a burning smell and was making a funny noise. We had it looked out. The motor is burning out. I called Whirlpool and explained the issue. There is nothing they can do. It is over 12 months. Really? They cant stand behind their product? I understand if it was a small part or such but an entire motor burning out in just over a year? I know that not all products can be perfect, some times mistakes slip through the line. I guess it was silly of me to expect a company in todays age to stand behind their name and product. Obviously, with this company, it is buyer beware.

We bought a Cabrio washer less than three years ago. I have never felt that it got my clothes clean. The washer recently stopped spinning and agitating. We were told by a very experienced repair technician today that the gear case and bearings in the tub need to be replaced at a cost of $700.00. Needless to say, I am very upset. I called the Whirlpool Company and after being on hold for almost 15 minutes, I was told that my washer is too old to qualify for any help with repair cost or part replacement. My household consists of two adults. We do on average three loads a week. This is an inferior appliance and after this experience I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

I am so bummed that this fridge died. It was perfect in size and function and appearance. I didnt use the ice maker. Within the first year, the temps were erratic, freezing in the fridge area at the rec. setting and too warm when I lowered it. Finally the compressor gave in at 19 months. Of course, out of warranty. HOWEVER, my credit card, VISA, added a year of warranty and is paying the full amt for replacement. Now I have no idea what to get. Every brand, American or Japanese is not made to last. I regret getting rid of my old dependable avocado fridge, thats how hard it is to feel confident to make a good next purchase. Formerly reliable names are only that, OLD NAMES WITH SHINY LOOKS AND JUNK INSIDE.

NU40T61-403 have had problems since day one. First problem was while heating up would make loud humming noise. Whirlpool sent out plumber. He adjusted plate under tank. That worked for about 2 months. Then pilot started going out. They send same plumber out again, also sent replacement part. Problem was fixed however about 2 months after that started leaking and flooding our garage. Called company again, was told that is no longer under warranty and stated we need a thermal expansion tank. I stated “why would we need this? This unit is only a little over a year old. Im not going to purchase another tank. A water heater should not overheat like this.” Long story short my husband has been burnt severely from the pressure build up as he was out in our garage walking past the tank when it decided to release pressure even though no water was being used at that time. He ended up at the ER with 2nd-3rd degree burns. I called Whirlpool again and was only told we need to install the expansion tank. Im so unhappy with this product I will never buy anything made by whirlpool again.....

We purchased our front loading washer and dryer set to replace our set that was 17 years old and what a difference! I love all the different settings so I can customize the wash or dry cycles, including the energy-saving features. Although we dont have children in the home anymore, the large capacity is perfect for handling my fabrics and quilts. Something that didnt always work with my top loading washer. Of course, the fact that the front loading washer uses very little detergent is also a bonus.

I have had my Whirlpool electric oven for so many years that I don’t even remember when I purchased it. I also have a Whirlpool stove top & the same with it. Zero trouble for many years. I highly recommend Whirlpool range tops & ovens.

I have replaced the damper control unit three times the last three years. The part begins to fail after nine months in used. The temperature becomes too cold in the refrigerator and the food started frozen because the damper door wont closed as cold air flows from freezer to the refrigerator. It adds to the displeasure that Whirlpool is not taking care of the shipping cost even the part is under warranty.

I got the works; the stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. I cannot believe all the BS you got to do to baby these appliances. If I had designed this mess... I would not be selling it. Every one of the appliances has a issue... the oven takes a long time just to cook toast. I would send them all back... but from what I have been told this is it. They all suck! I sure wish I had my older appliances back. I see the city dump in their future! I got the black stainless. Believe me I am not happy at all. The repair people have already had to fix or replace parts and I have not had this stuff for 30 days yet.

About two months ago the washer starting stopping and the UL light continued to come on during every spin cycle. So I would adjust the clothes and start it again. So I decided that I should call a certified serviceman to come out and access the problem. Today a certified serviceman came out to access the problem. After about twenty minutes I was told the tub needed to be replaced and the cost and labor would be $600 or more. I do realize that the washer is about 8 years old but to completely need a repair like a new tub. I am very upset and have no idea what to do.

I bought this to provide A/C to our bedroom during a power outage by use of our Gasoline generator. It is very quiet and provide a very cool air flow. The double vent pipes make it efficient and more than capable of cooling out 15 X 25 foor bedroom. Whirlpool has 28,000 employees in the USA.

The pilot light went out on our Whirlpool hot water heater. We followed instructions and were unable to relight. Our plumber was also unable to relight so we ordered new parts with associated overnight express costs. The plumber returned and worked for over an hour. When the pilot light came on the burner assembly burned out the new thermo coupling and that needed to be replaced again. This happened again. I would like to join the class action suit as Whirlpool has known about this problem and consumers are paying more than the original cost of the unit for repairs.

I bought a Whirlpool French door, freezer drawer on bottom at Lowes 2 years ago for $2,600. The refrigerator needed a new motherboard within the first year and now that it is in the 2nd year, service is required again. The repairman ordered the part and came the 2nd time to replace the part upon receipt. Now it needs the 3rd part since it is still not working. I have a herniated disc in my neck and had to remove everything from the refrigerator and freezer to take downstairs to salvage our food. Now I have to go through the same thing again for the 3rd time after the additional part comes. This refrigerator is junk. I asked Lowes for a new replacement but of course was denied. Does anyone know a good lawyer for this type of situation? I never had a problem with an appliance like this.

The most horrible stove I’ve ever owned. The self cleaning oven never worked, the oven whistles while warming, the alert stops working after a few times, there is a razor sharp hidden vent under the dash of stove on which I cut my hand when cleaning. Customer service is nonexistent. Never never never buy Whirlpool.

This dishwasher was a mere 2.2 years old, installed by Lowes-hired technician and the part will cost $168 through Whirlpool, plus labor on both first visit and installation visit. I would not advise to purchase this or similar product from Whirlpool. What really makes me upset is that I learned from customer service that this unit was made in the USA.

I bought my fridge in late 2008 and I am already experiencing potentially expensive repairs due to what I believe is a defective design system, of which, consumers are having to bare the consequences for those who collected our hard-earned cash and delivered a lousy product! I saw so many similar complaints about the ice system on this fridge that I am almost positive that it qualifies for a class action suit and settlement. I chose Whirlpool first then my machine became of I wanted a front loading machine with a larger tub. I wanted to be able to wash anything without hesitation. I truly love my wash and dryer. This set is the first set I have ever bought brand new.

Front load washer Whirlpool Model# WFW9400SW02, only had this machine for about five years and the main interface control board has gone bad. This part cost 1/2 as much as buying a new machine. My parents had the same washing machine for almost 30 years and no problems. Whats wrong with this picture?

The washer buttons stopped responding after 19 months. Lid lock sensor didn’t work. Replaced control board because new sensor did not fix it. Went bad again after a week. I have to replace it. I think 1 year warranties are not enough for a major appliance.

Its just a plain refrigerator. No bells and whistles. It could have more space in the bottom and well as a ice machine or ice maker. Nothing special about it. Just a place to keep food. The light in top could be higher so food does not touch it.

Terrible wash machine. Some clothes come out having never even gotten wet. The spin cycle ties your clothes in knots so bad you have to machine dry them because the wrinkles are ridiculous. I’m all for saving water but if your clothes don’t get wet, how are they going to get clean? Also can’t do just a rinse and spin cycle. I would rate zero stars if I could. Don’t waste your money on this junk! Wish I could buy an old fashioned Maytag. Those washers were the best!

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator (model number GX5SHDXVQ02/K02778282) on 9/18/2010. It broke down in 1 year and 8 months; the circuit board control went completely out and ruined all my food. Whirlpool stated I was beyond the 1-year warranty and said there was nothing they would do, except sell me a 1-year warranty for $299. I was at their mercy, so I purchased the warranty for $299 and had the fridge fixed. I would like to be reimbursed at least for the $299 warranty charge. This company should be ashamed of manufacturing such a flimsy product and not standing behind the item to protect their name.

The interior features such as turntable, etc are very cheaply made. As is the case with most Whirlpool appliances, this one is way over engineered to focus on appearance and gadgetry. This is not a good microwave for a serious cook who prefers that the design focus on functionality and ease of operation.

My low Budget rental property combinations oven stovetop could not handle it. 1st two of my stovetop burned out. 2nd the knobs broke just from turning the stove off and on. 3rd the oven only works with the oven timer. 4th the was only two years old when it fell apart. I dont recommend this low budget stove.

Purchased a Whirlpool top loading washer. The agitation cycle is unreasonably loud. So loud you can hear it everywhere in my home and cannot have a conversation within about 30 feet of it. When I ran it for the first time I thought it was malfunctioning and when I called Whirlpool I thought they would send a technician to fix the problem but they told me that the sound was perfectly normal for high efficiency washers! My other high efficiency washers were very quiet. The fact that they think this type of noise is not only normal but quite acceptable makes me quite certain to never buy any of their products again. Very disappointed to see what once was a quality company to be so lame.

Service History- Oct 15th 2018 - Fridge/ freezer started not cooling (Issues started) Oct,19th 2018 - Failed defrost (Tech Diagnosed) Nov 13th 2018 - Control was replaced, defrost heater replaced (Service performed) April 10th 2018 - Fridge started not cooling again (Issues started) April 15th 2018 - Tech diagnosed failed UI board (Tech Diagnosed) April 17th 2019 - Replaced failed UI for water/freezer dispenser (Service performed) May 23 2019 - Fridge started not cooling again (Issues started) May 23 2019 - Tech came out and diagnosed the issues as defrost thermometer (Tech Diagnosed) (They initially wanted the tech to come out May 28th but I had to explain this was not acceptable as I can not continue to be without a fridge like this) May 23 2019 - Request to have the fridge replaced.May 24th 2019 - Whirlpool called to notify they would replace the fridge.

I purchased by first Whirlpool Cabrio washer in 2007 with an extended warranty (my husband did not want me to buy). Thank goodness I did. The machine had repeated issues to the point that the service repairman and I were on first name basis. Finally, the mother board went out. The rust on the sides was excessive and of course my expensive sheets and towels were being shredded. Lowe’s extended warranty plan did honor this and replaced my machine with a new Cabrio washer (big mistake!). The new machine; receipt for this was over $1,600.00, including the new extended warranty that ends in 2014, was bought on 3-25-09. It now requires a new drum and bearings which are being replaced today (9-19-12); however, the corrosion is just as bad and my clothes are still being shredded. Oh, also the lid no longer locks and to get the machine to actually run. I have to physically hold down the lid until the lid locks. The repairman said that there is nothing he can do as the company will not repair this or replace the machine again under warranty! The joints where the lid attaches have rusted through and that is why the lid cant lock. The whole lid needs to be replaced and the company says it would cost about the same as a new machine about $690.00. What a rip-off this company is for the consumer! I will never, ever deal with Whirlpool again and I mean never, ever again! (sans Taylor Swift)!

Greetings: I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator on July 3, 2014. And the supports for the door to open and closed have grinded and worn out - not allowing the door to close properly, requiring being lifted up, and pushed close as much as possible. Not the quality I expected with the purchase of a Whirlpool product. I want this door repaired or replaced at the expense of Whirlpool. Having paid over $600.00 for the product, I didnt expect no problems like this at all, poor design. The weight of the door is too heavy to support a hinge mount in plastic, its ridiculous. Now cooling is being wasted, runs constantly, and just not the quality I expected nor received.

Bought an HE top loading washer 4/19/19. Oil leaking on floor from washer. Today, 2/12/20, while still under one year warranty, had transmission replaced. We have always purchased Whirlpool appliances. Not sure if we will in the future.

After 2 years it stopped draining. We have to physically hit cancel to get it to drain. Also, I have had to make my own tool to take bottom spin bar off to get to and unjam grinder and we pre-wash all dishes.

GS6SHEXNB02 Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator - Bad ice maker module. Ice maker valve is bad. Its gone out 3 times a year since I got it. We order a replacement, it goes bad again. Its not the ice maker itself, its a bad valve. Signs its going out, ice maker stops making ice or the ice cubes are small or the refrigerator water will start pulsing coming out (start and stop). Whirlpool made a bad product and they know about. Several complaints online about the ice maker no longer making ice. Bad product.

The Cabrio top load washing machine is a piece of junk, an expensive piece of junk. The only way someone could give this machine a good review is if they work for Whirlpool or they think beating clothes up against a rock in the filthy Ganges River makes them clean.We purchased the HE top loader because we were told that all the problems of the front loaders had been worked out in the new top loaders. What a joke. At least the front loader I had, cleaned the clothes. Since we got the glass top model, I made a movie that shows several items of clothes just sitting on top, not getting wet, not getting moved around, not getting rinsed; therefore, not getting clean.After the wash cycle spins down, the clothes are pinned up against the side and the rinse barely touches them before its final spin. We have several items that had stains left from the soap - yes, we used HE soap, Im not stupid. Never again will I waste my money on a Whirlpool product or anything from Best Buy.

On 11-29-2014 we were washing our laundry and our whirlpool washing machine started making a really loud noise so I went to investigate the problem. I open the bottom part of the washer to find out that the whole cement block to balance the drum was on the floor of the washer so I called the 1800 number on the machine and no one at whirlpool corporation wanted to even help. No one said sorry. No one said Let me see if I can help. No one. Every one I talked to they cant help at all. No one apologized once about the poor product that whirlpool sells and the defect that their products has. My washer is one year and one month old. So I can say truly with confidence that whirlpool product are the worst in the world plus their customer service even more. It is very sad after we paid all kind of money for our washer now I have to buy another one after one year and one month. Very bad customer service.

Whirlpool microwave 1163XVS - I purchased a new home and a Whirlpool microwave in May 2010. The microwave has all of a sudden stopped heating! Turns on, spins, counts down, lights up, etc., but will not heat. Found this site by trying on my own to detect a possible reason and Im shocked to see these many complaints of the exact problem. Unbelievable, should be class action suit maybe for continuing to take money from consumers for defective product that Whirlpool knows about and appears to not take responsibility. Ive read enough, not even going to call for repair. Im buying another brand and spending more wisely this time. Thanks for the heads up. Shame on Whirlpool.

My machine has been ripping clothes for a few years but I thought, initially, that it was a snap, zipper or hook causing the problem. I recently got fed up and found this: **. It makes it pretty clear that it is a manufacturing defect. I called their customer service centre and spoke to a supervisor that told me it is normal wear and tear and that perhaps the glass in the door had worn out. Yes, thats right, she said maybe the glass has worn out.They are offering ZERO assistance in what would be a $500+ repair for me. Admittedly, my machine is five years old and out of warranty, but to me, when the repair is to install an entirely new style of door so that the clothes no longer get caught underneath, it is a defect. 43 different models of their machines are included in this issue and it was identified in 2012, a year before my machine was made. Why didnt they correct it before that?

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer model # WTW6800WW1. Bought it July 2009 and it broke Jan 2017... 7.5 years old. Cost to repair $715.00. The technician recommended that I just go ahead and buy a new one... not worth the while to fix. I paid $900 for this machine in 2009. This is an expensive machine, not a cheap ass one. Shame on Whirlpool for selling products that dont last and for making it unaffordable to fix.

Very durable. Not pretty but will last a long time. The dishwasher will run forever. The appearance is bland so the product is nothing fancy. It gets the job done. The machine is very quiet. I think this feature is the best one.

We bought our Whirlpool refrigerator model # WRT318FZDB02 July of 2019. We liked it very much. The beginning of January 2022 we started having issues with things freezing. A few days later nothing got cold. The appliance technician that checked it out said our seals on the compressor were bad and needed a new one. He told us we were better off buying a new refrigerator. I contacted Whirlpool support and they told me the same thing. Our previous refrigerator lasted over 30 years!! I would think Whirlpool would make their refrigerators last longer than 2 1/2 years!!

Hot water heater goes out. Try to relight it as instructed. Pilot light goes out as soon as I release pressure. Call tech support. After a 10min hold time, I was instructed to rest unit, wait 10 to 15 min and try again. Did not work. Called back and was told it was the thermopile. Had it shipped and replaced at $45.00. Still did not work. Was instructed to go thru the same process of lighting it, still did not work. Then I was given a ref# and was told that my PARTS was warranty and not labor. Okay now one time I was told I WILL BE CHARGED WITH A DIAGNOSTIC FEE OF $99.00 and still no hot water. Next step LAWYER.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load Washer in 2009. It stopped working and I found that it needs a new control panel and recirculating pump which will cost $390, including labor (plus the cost of the service call to diagnose the problem). I would not have expected to have this type of problem with a washer within 3 years of purchase. I cannot recommend this machine.

Our Whirlpool Duet Washer pair is 2.5 yrs old. The washer didnt work at first, but a repairman found the problem and fixed it right up. They have not broken. The dryer has been fine and we have had them stacked for most of the time without any issues. My problem sounds minor compared to those others listed here, but this thing is ruining all our white or light colored clothes. They go in white, and come out covered with splotchy, dirty looking spots literally all over them! They werent that kind of dirty when they went in. It’s the oddest thing, like it makes dirt. Reading some of these concerns makes me wonder if it has a mold problem inside somewhere, and that is what is ruining our clothes. Tax return is coming and it is going. End of story.

May 16 - July 25, 2014. Took almost nine weeks to get the replacement. Numerous service calls. Their tech said self-clean feature should never be used. In addition, I heard that the techs are only paid for one service call, no matter how many times they come. And, they cant fix this oven. It has to be replaced. Nightmare and very dangerous. Most American families cannot wait nine weeks for a new oven to be fixed/replaced.

I purchased for over a thousand dollars a whirlpool propane hot water tank. Three months later the safety heat thing that turns it off is defective yet I have to pay for shipping on this. Then again every three months. Its been a year and a half and the damn thing just blew up and almost took my house with it. I paid for a product that works not one that needs replaced yearly. But do they care? Nope. 2 weeks before someone can even look at it. I plan on reviewing until whirlpool isnt purchased by anyone again. This is a brand that was supposed to be quality, instead its just a scam!

I purchased this Whirlpool Gold Series Refrigerator WRF990SLAMCO in 2012 and it cost me $2400.00 from Lowes. Worst purchase I ever made!!! I will never again purchase or recommend a Whirlpool product. I paid for extended service agreement from Lowes. Before the first year was over, ice was forming on the inside roof of the refrigerator and the whole cooling system/grid needed to be replaced. Then the cooling system went out, followed by the ice maker (PS the ice bucket container was rusted within the first year), then the whole electrical panel on the front of the refrigerator where the ice/water dispenser is.For the last three weeks I have had water leaking out of the top of the refrigerator adjacent to the water filter. My home warranty wont cover. It is a $400.00 repair to replace the circuit that attaches from the water filter. I called Whirlpool 2/14/2017 to complain about the product. She tells me that there havent been any complaints logged about the refrigerator. Seriously??? Read your reviews! The gal on the phone offered a discount to purchase a NEW PRODUCT! Are you serious??? Take my advice. DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL. They do not care about their customers or creating a well made USA product. Ill buy foreign next time!

Do not purchase (Whirlpool products). Discuss guarantees with salespeople when purchasing! They are total sham and in fact borderline fraud! Purchased $5,000 dollar KitchenAid fridge only to have it breakdown after only 8 months. What they dont tell you is instead of recalling a product they give their repair personnel whats called a notice which means they know there are issues with their products!After much discussion and trying to return the product to no avail, I was told very adamantly my fridge would need to break down another additional 2 times before my fridge would be replaced with a new fridge. Forget about the cost of your food inside the fridge, they dont care! Just beware that their warranties and parts and labour are a complete and utter joke! My advice after much research if you can afford it buy Miele or Subzero product. Its more expensive but a lot less headaches in the long run! Ive eaten the cost of my KitchenAid appliance and went with a Subzero fridge. Dont believe the higher pressure sales pitch from salesman. Youre best to call a repairman and ask what hes fixing more often than not and 9/10 times he will tell you Whirlpool product! Customer service is a complete circus and gong show. Youll get further ahead talking to a donkey!!! Buyer beware! Whirlpool Canada/USA is a joke!!! Dont say I didnt warn ya!!!

Old stove does the job. I need a new and updated one. Need a warming drawer. Lower drawer does not close properly anymore. Paint on back panel is chipping. We are limited to range choices because of space.

We purchased our first Whirlpool product, a washer, model WTW4800XQ 2 years ago. Started having problems with the clothes dripping wet after the wash cycle. Turns out the 2 year old washer needs a shift actuator and a wire harness that will cost close to $400 and take a week to obtain! I have had Kenmore appliances for the past 35 years. Ive never been disappointed it their performance or longevity. Each appliance lasting 15+ years and in the case of my fridge, it lasted 30 years! I am very disappointed in Whirlpool and WILL NEVER purchase another whirlpool product.

Purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator the last week of January 2014 with promised delivery date of February 6, 2015. Received call Feb. 2 that the earliest they could deliver would be February 13th. Received call Feb. 3 that the earliest they could deliver would be February 19, almost 2 months after purchase of refrigerator. Sears, where we purchased the refrigerator, told me that they have been dealing with this for 10 years with Whirlpool. Why would Sears sell products to their customers with this kind of delivery problem? They only communicate with Whirlpool via email, so there is no resolution with a person to get issue taken care of. We will never buy a Whirlpool product again & will never buy anything from Sears again.

I purchased Whirlpool dishwasher, model DU930PWSTO, in 9/2007. It quit working in 5/2012. I expected an appliance made by a reputable manufacturer (Whirlpool) to last longer than five years. It seems like a manufacturing racket where they build these things only to be replaced a short time later. With service calls and parts replacement, its cheaper to buy a new unit. Talk about a circle jerk! And who the heck puts anything else but SS screws in a water soaked appliance? Duh. Rust! Im disgusted and dissatisfied with the whole company. Im still waiting on their response to my complaint email; at the time, the machine quit working. Whatever happened to pride in American made products? Or, did this get company bail and were now slaves to the Chinese junk once again? Ill never buy another Whirlpool appliance again. Does anyone have anything good to say about this company? We had a Whirlpool washing machine 650s, fully automatic on 28.07.2011 at M/s. Next Showroom Reference bill number 910, Sr no INF **. We had attended, 2 times, a problem with the digital board. After advice from your Whirlpool service person, we had fixed it cutout (make whirlpool), but now, its the same fault with the digital board. Kindly take further action regarding this same problem and sort this out immediately without any further reminder.

I just bought a new dishwasher because my 5-year-old one went out, model number DU1145XTPBA. After pulling the old one out, I took the motor out and lo and behold, what did I find but bad bearings. The motor was fine, just the bearings were rusted out and were jamming the motor so that it wouldnt move. The price of a new motor, $149.00. Well thats a bit much for something that only lasts 5 years. I went on eBay and found them for $70 to $170.00. So if you have a problem where your dish wont wash at all but fills up with water, it may be nothing more than cheap bearings in the motor. If I, myself, were this companys CEO i would really consider changing companies that they have making these motors or at least the bearings. Just wanted you to know that this is the only problem I have had with this one and Im going to replace the motor now that I know what it is. Thank you Whirlpool for a day spending repairing and replacing one of your dishwashers. I learned a lot.

The washer started to show error code for the door and washer would not restart. After removing the top of the washer and checking the door switch to see if there was a loose wire, I traced the wire back to the micro control unit, and upon inspection of the micro control unit, I found that the terminal that the door switch wire was attached to was loose and not making contact with circuit board.Although the washer is out of warranty being 7 years old, this is clearly not a part that is subject to wear and tear. The part was clearly manufactured poorly. I looked on the internet to purchase a new part but it seems that all micro control units are out of stock. This makes me wonder if one should start a class action suit as my part could be one of hundreds that was poorly manufactured. I called Whirlpool to see if they would send me another part to replace the bad unit but they said that because the washer was out of warranty, they could not help.

This is a great choice if you like a drawer for a freezer. It’s double door. The racks are easily moved. There’s are drawers for beverages and cheeses and vegetables. One downfall is replacing water filter cartridge every couple months and freezer could be set up a little better so you don’t have to pack things on top of each other.

Warranty services are trouble. For one (1) simple washer part its taking over 2 months. They state its on back order...while my food is wasting away. Whirlpool didnt even know what he was doing, and to the top it off, forgot to put back the part he took off!

In 2007 and 2008, I purchased 7 natural gas heaters: 1 for my home and 6 for rental properties. I have had nothing but problems from all of them. Two of them failed this weekend (one 40-gallon and one 50-gallon). I called the 800 number and have to pay $63.50 for parts for the 40-gallon and was given a PO number to pick up parts for the 50-gallon at Lowes. They do not have the parts. I have spent over $250,000 at Lowes since 2000. I have all Whirlpool appliances in rentals and my own home. The discussion I had at two Lowes stores today really showed me how they take care of their customers. I told both stores that I will never buy the Whirlpool brand again!

I dont know how anybody could write a good review on this machine. It always requires deep water wash and sometimes two cycles to get clothes clean. On regular cycle, it doesnt get water on all clothes. Oh yes, it does save water... Ive pulled things out with dry areas on them.

My washer is just two years old, and clangs all the time. I informed Whirlpool and they stated I should call a technician. Since the warranty expired, there was nothing they would do. It is just two years old. I researched others and this same washer has failed in less that two years. It is a very bad product. It doesnt wash clean and makes a lot of noise. If you send me your email, I can send you a video I recorded of it making the noise.

The only thing cheaply made is the push latch on the dryer. Both are pricey for what you get, I thought, though they were the cheapest Lowes offered. We have had the pair for a little over a year. So far no real problems, though we really do not like the latch door. You have to slam the door to get it to close. To do it over we would probably have shopped a little longer and for the same money got a better deal.

I bought one of the top of the line Maytag washers and was very disappointed. It only lasted about 5 years and had to be replaced. The dryer I bought at the same time is still working. It is 15 years old.

It does not clean properly, if the dishes are not almost totally cleaned before putting them in the dishwasher. It has stainless steel inside, but the plastic holders have all had to be replaced. It is a large dishwasher that holds pots and pan. It is plain and has nothing outstanding to look at. Dishwasher are not meant to last any longer than 8 years, I have been told by a repairman. I will never purchase a KitchenAid, made by Whirlpool again!

Bought the washer from HH Gregg for over $560 12/2012. Turned on power 4/2014 and just heard clicking noises then nothing. Had to get technician. Paid for $75 service charge and waiting for cost of labor and part for the lid lock/latch assembly. I see a lot of complaints with this new machine. I bought a new one BECAUSE I did not want any problems with repairs. Whirlpool is ripping off the consumer passing out this piece of discombobulated metal, wires and electronics. An appliance like this should last AT LEAST 7 years without a problem. I wish there was a class action lawsuit and will be waiting to the day it surely comes.

My water heater was installed in 2007 (model BFG2J5040T3NOV). It has required 3 repairs in 4 years because part failures make the pilot light shut off. The gas controller was replaced in 2008. The manifold/burner assembly was replaced in 2010. This month (August 2011), I have replaced the thermocouple, which did not fix the problem. Now I am having to replace the gas controller again. The part is failing, but not completely inoperable, so occasionally when on the phone with customer support, the pilot light would stay lit. When this happened, the tech would act as if the problem was solved and tell me to call back if the pilot light went out again. The next day, the pilot light would go out again. Thus, I have spent several hours on the phone with customer support running the same tests and answering the same questions over and over again.

11 months after I bought the fridge it started acting up. I paid 1900 for this thing. The temp kept getting warmer and the ice maker quit working. I had to pay for a service plan. Ill never buy a piece of junk Whirlpool product in my life again and ill broadcast their poor quality to everybody in my 5000 congregation. I work to save up to buy this product and its junk. Ill end donating it. Im very upset at this junk product produced by Whirlpool.

Refrigerator stopped cooling... Paid $200 to have it diagnosed... Cost more than a new refrigerator to get fixed...$14,000. Refrigerator was 7 years old, energy star. How can it be energy efficient if it was made to last only seven years? How much energy is wasted making new ones to replace the broken ones, that cost too much to fix. Energy star. What a scam.

Never have to worry about my extra freezer products. Keeps them at the correct temperature. Plenty of room on the shelves and on the door. A great asset for large families.

We built 8 years ago, with ALL new appliances...All Whirlpool Gold...been very unsatisfied with ALL appliances... Had to replace range and parts for refrigerator..And extendend warranties all nonusable..We live NM off a tarred county road by 1/4 mile...no one wants to even come and look. Not good.

I was under the impression Whirlpool washers were good. Mine always goes off balance and quits. I carefully redistribute the load several times to get it to finish (start over). Sometimes it works fine from the get-go, but not often enough. It is now 2 years old and if I were wealthy, Id shove it to the curb. There is little to like with an appliance that often must be adjusted and re-started. I will try Samsung next. It seems that American brands are not reliable. I have no special needs and will consider reliability above all. The name Whirlpool would be a deal breaker for me. I cannot abide my Whirlpool washing machine as it is more of an aggravation than something useful. Stay away from Whirlpool washing machines. They (at least mine) require the load to be balanced to a microgram. Appliances should just work and not require fiddling with.

We purchased a new refrigerator and dishwasher about three and a half years ago. There are only two of us living in the house and we both work so it is not like we use our dishwasher every day. Dishwasher is Whirlpool Whisper Quiet III Gold model. About three months ago, the panel lights quit working but the dishwasher would still run. Now the blasted thing will not even turn on. Our ice maker freezes up and we are always having to ice pick out the ice and clean out the ice maker. Basically, we never use it because we are tired of the process of cleaning it just to have ice. Now after reading reviews, I do not want to fork out the money to have a repair person come in and fix the dishwasher which most likely will break down somewhere else. Plus the dishwasher tray has a lot of broken tips and are rusty and I have actually had to file a few to keep from getting stabbed by the sharp point. The previous dishwasher worked great and had been in the house for over 15 years. I wish I could remember what brand it was. I only replaced it because I wanted one to match the refrigerator. I am appalled at the quality of the Whirlpool products. I have to get another dishwasher and I have other things that I need to spend my money on rather than a dishwasher. I wont buy another Whirlpool product as of September 13, 2013.

I spent every penny I earned to buy a long lasting fridge (Whirlpool Gold Series) only to have a headache ever since I bought it. The people that Whirlpool sends out are in cahoots. Told me my compressor is out and I just heard it kick on. Model number wrf990slam00. I purchased this French door refrigerator in September of 2013 (less than two years ago). Our freezer stopped freezing a month ago. Knowing it was out of Warranty we had a non-Whirlpool related repair tech out. He said the compressor was going out, he said to call Whirlpool because this should not be happening on a fridge less than two years old. I called Whirlpool. They offered me a extended Warranty knowing the issue for $320 so I accepted since a compressor with labor is much more than that. Whirlpool arranged for a repair person to come out. The guy hardly looked at my fridge, didnt hook any gauges up and said maybe just see it in a few days it works again... after asking ME for a thermometer to check the temperature! I told him well we had a previous repair person out and he said it was the compressor. He said hed have to have someone else come out because he doesnt know anything about compressors. Um ok why did they send you out then! So the following week I get a call from a different guy with the same company saying my parts were in and they were going to come out and replace them. I said I thought the guy didnt know what was wrong with it. He said oh well its the compressor and evaporator! Ok well I guess comes fix it then. They came out replaced the parts. Within 36 hours the freezer was working again, ok great! Well a week later we had people over and we bought ice cream and put it in the freezer. A few hours later we pull it out and its melting. Called Whirlpool again, they sent a second company out. The guy hooked up his gauges and said it was definitely leaking refrigerant and the fibrotic in the ice maker was broken. He said he couldnt fix it because the company that replaced them is responsible for it, and that in this type of refrigerator the compressors need to be placed a certain way or they leak which he suspected that was the case. Called Whirlpool, they scheduled for the original company to come out. After 2 times of them not showing they finally came a week and a half later. The guy hooked up his gauges said it wasnt leaking and that the other guy didnt know how to read the gauges. He looked around for a bit, took my drawers out then put them back in and broke one of the brackets, then called the tech line and said its probably an internal leak. He said he needed approval from Whirlpool to look any further. A few hours after he left the refrigerator got warm. I called Whirlpool to expedite the claim and they said the company hadnt made a claim yet. Ok great. I have a two-year-old and Im pregnant and we have no refrigerator! Called the next day. Whirlpool said the refrigerator is now too expensive or not repairable and they are going to make me an offer on replacement. Ok great! Well not so much. I call a few days later to see where the heck my offer is and they tell me sorry we will only refund your Warranty What! My fridge is less than two years old and I paid $2100 and it is not repairable and thats all you will do!!!! Im in the process of fighting this but I doubt they will do anything. Just dont ever buy a Whirlpool and if you do buy the Warranty the store offers! Each repair person that came suggested the same thing and said these new Whirlpools are junk and have had many of these refrigerators do the same thing. Whirlpool makes tons and tons of money making these cheap refrigerators but does not care about the customer whatsoever! Whirlpool has lost my business forever and I hope more customers because of this review.

We purchase Whirlpool fridge less than a year ago. Its still under guaranteed. 2 months ago we notice the fridge part heating up and food was going off. I went back to the shop where we purchase the fridge. They said we had to contact Whirlpool direct so we did had to wait 3 weeks for someone to come and look at it. Fridge is not repairable. Fella who came out did not report back to Whirlpool. I was waiting and waiting to hear word. I rang to see what was the story on it and eventually they said O we will exchanged your fridge and we will ring you on delivery date. Now Im over 2 month waiting on a fridge. Whirlpool is a joke. The company should be put out of business for what they do to honest people buying their stuff, and people who are in the same boat as me should go to the high court and sue them for all the stress they put people through. Shame on you Whirlpool. Disgrace.

I used their website to schedule an appointment for an estimate for a repair on my oven. I was never told they were sending an independent contractor to do the repair nor that there would be a charge for the estimate. I contacted Whirlpool and was told there is nothing on their website and I should have asked the service technician before he was at my door if there would be a charge. Therefore, it was my fault and I indeed had to pay the charge when I declined to have my oven repaired. I paid an independent contractor hired by Whirlpool for $129 to give me an estimate on the repair to my oven despite never being told of such a charge prior to the appointment.

On March 3, I purchased a dishwasher (Model: KUDE70FXSS1 Serial No.: F10202361) on Whirlpools VIP link, which will more likely be my last Whirlpool purchase based on the slightly damaged product and incredibly poor customer service Ive received. Upon delivery of the dishwasher on March 9, I noticed that the left rear wheel was damaged and slightly bent. I also noticed that the unit was a little off balance. But the delivery person explained to me that everything was okay and that the front legs just needed to be adjusted. I believed him and signed the delivery receipts with the additional note about the left rear wheel being damaged. At the time of delivery, the driver also happened to mention that J.B. Hunt did offer installation services for dishwashers. I then called Whirlpool customer service, which pretty much gave me the cold shoulder, and said that it wasnt in their policy. I had to request the installation service at the time of purchase and Whirlpool would not send someone back out. This made me upset because I initially wanted to have the dishwasher installed but your VIP link didnt show an option for installation. Im not sure how Im supposed to request the installation services when theyre not being offered. But the genius customer service representative thought that I should intuitively call Whirlpool when the link isnt on the website. This is the first demonstration of Whirlpools poor customer service, in my opinion. After a couple of days of driving around to get a hose and a cord to perform the installation, I finally installed the dishwasher on March 12. Once installed, I noticed that the hinge on the left side was rubbing against the tub of the dishwasher. The door hinge was bent and the main tub was slightly damaged. Again, I contacted Whirlpools customer service department who sent out a repairman who confirmed that the dishwasher needed new tub and hinges which were covered under warranty. Unfortunately, he told me that I would not receive a new dishwasher since I installed it myself. He would order a new tub and hinges and transfer all the equipment and wiring from my original dishwasher to the new tub. Essentially, I would have a refurbished dishwasher at a new price, which I do not want.I initially wanted to have the dishwasher installed but your VIP link didnt show an option for installation. If Whirlpools website worked the way it should have and offered an installation service, I wouldnt be in this situation. I would have paid for the installation and the people installing the new dishwasher would have realized that it was damaged prior to them leaving and ordering a new dishwasher. I am a customer and not a dishwasher repairman. No normal person would have been able to catch the damage that is on my machine. Second, I find it hard to believe that Whirlpools policy states to have all the equipment from my original dishwasher installed on a new tub. So, I paid $989 for a new dishwasher thats really a refurbished dishwasher because of the damage. I wish I would have visited this site prior to purchasing. I will never deal with Whirlpool again.

We bought our washer about 3 years ago brand new from Lowes. Like others, I have had problems with holes in clothing and spots that looked like grease. It worked well up until recently when we noticed some brown splatters on the floor. Shortly after it made a loud noise like a plane taking off and the load would become unbalanced. We researched and found many people were having issues with the bearings going bad. My husband was going to order parts to fix it but you have to have a special tool that is expensive to buy... It was going to be almost $200 to repair ourselves! He called a washing machine repair man and he said he doesnt even touch them because the repair wont last. I guess were going to be better off buying a new washer. There really needs to be a recall on this product!!!

I bought my Whirlpool Cabrio (washer and dryer) in August 2007 ($1800 for the pair). I love these machines. I have only had one problem with it (I had to have a valve replaced - about $380, the machine made a screeching noise when it filled with water). Otherwise, I have never experienced any of the problems listed above. I bought this machine because I was pregnant and chose to do cloth diapers. I was doing nearly 20 loads a week at one point. Now, I do about 4 loads a week (would be about 8 loads in a normal machine). I love that the tub is HUGE and I can fit 2 sets of double sheets plus towels in one load. My clothes always come out clean and near dry.I wash everything in it - even dry clean only using the hand wash cycle. Prior to this purchase, my clothes were not clean. I could still smell deodorant in all my t-shirts and blouses. Not any more. Its the best purchase I ever made. Although, Ive always wondered why you have to clean a washing machine monthly when... well, its cleaning clothes anyway.

I wonder: Is NASA still accepting volunteers for their living on Mars experiment? Id rather beat my clothes on a rock than touch that POS Whirlpool that has me back on tranquilizers! Mine was purchased about 2 years ago when I was in bad health and my son was handling my affairs. I could tell - just by listening - there was something very wrong with it, from the first load my son attempted to wash. It would start and stop, restart, restop, ad infinitum and made a terrible racket. I told him nobody would intentionally make a machine like that--something had to be wrong with it but he assured me that he had checked both with the store that sold it and he also read the manual. He had a hard time accepting but we thought maybe this was because it was new and would settle down after some use; after all, the store (Best Buy) assured him the sound was normal for this particular machine. However, the weird sounds did NOT lessen nor stop, nor did the starts and stops. Little did we know, this was just the tip of the iceberg! We have encountered/suffered through every nasty performance detailed here: low water, wont spin, leaves clothes soaking wet, wont spin out excess water, lid locks (grrrrrr), it cant seem to switch from one procedure to the next; there is nothing washing the dirt out of the clothes--they just sit in the water and soak(?), then the water is released. Clothes come out with stains still on, so wet that the water must be wrung out of them! Very hard for me with arthritis all through my body! Ive tried countless times to reset machine to Drain & Spin. Ive even waited (yawn) for it to unlock so I can open and then readjust the heavy/wet laundry, trying to make it even all the way around so to avoid an unbalance. But nothing helps. It will start to spin. And then it stops. (wait, wait) Starts to spin again. Stops. (wait, wait) Starts again, does it a bit longer. (start to relax) Stops. Ive spent HOURS engaged in that kind of mindless, maddening frustration, just trying to wash one small-medium load. (I wash only for one person--myself, now.) My son, who got married and no longer lives with me, said the only way he could manage to struggle through it - and agrees it DOES take an inordinate amount of time--for just ONE load, he has to put the settings so that it washes in Deep Water even if small load. He sets Rinse, to 2 Rinses. He sets it to Soak even if the soil is light. Even then, it still makes noises, starts and stops, has to be adjusted several times during Drain & Spin. Last but not least, the noxious odor: OMG! I left one batch of laundry in the machine, with the lid open, as it was very late so figured Id dry them next morning. Some hours later when I went back to shake them out and put in clothes dryer, they smelled so awful, I had to wash them all over again! In fact, Ive had to follow my sons admonition to leave the lid up AT ALL TIMES unless actually washing in order to keep down the stink. I washed my last load with Baking Soda added to wash cycle in an attempt to lessen the odor and get laundry cleaner. Someone here wrote - in their review - that there should be a Class Action (Law) Suit filed against Whirlpool. I AGREE!!! And I want to opt IN on it. There are several law firms that advertise on t.v. that specialize in Class Actions. It would take some time and paperwork but will not cost us anything unless we win the case. Then the law firm gets a percentage. I am willing to work with one more others here who truly want to settle out this problem. I cant believe 2,000 (and thats only here), people are willing to eat hundreds, thousands of dollars of worthless, mind-gripping, rubble such as we have spent our hard-earned money. Other manufacturers recall their defective merchandise and/or replace it, or make arrangements with the retail stores who carry it to make amends, free repairs, whatever it takes to make dissatisfied, disenfranchised customers, whole. We paid for these demons from hell and we deserve to get an equivalent in merchandise (that works properly) or services. That is how it is done here in the U.S. For the life of me, I just cant comprehend why Whirlpool has been allowed to continue selling this junk--why no entity or person or lawsuit has stopped them! As I said, I am willing to work with a core group who is serious about filing a Class Action (Law) Suit against Whirlpool. It may be that the retail stores would be included as well; however, that is a matter best left to the discretion of whichever law firm we select to represent us. For those of you here who do NOT wish to be included, do not worry; you are not being pushed into anything. The way Class Actions work, you have the choice to opt IN (be included to receive your pro-rata share of what is collected). Or you are completely free to opt OUT. By opting out, that means you do not wish to be part of the Class Action and therefore, you will not be included nor will you receive any portion of the recompense collected via the Class Action. Just for your information, though: You are allowed, by law, to bring your OWN lawsuit against all or some of the same parties. The most common reason for opting out, is if you have suffered an extra large financial loss and prefer to file your own suit in order to collect ALL recompense; whereas, sometimes - in a Class Action - the individual plaintiffs may not recoup the total amount they feel they have lost. If you DO decide to opt out and go on your own, realize you will be fully responsible for lawyer fees (although you CAN add them into the balance you are seeking in your suit. Settlement of your claim may or may not include lawyers fees.) Good Luck to all. I decided to buy the Cabrio. It was the most expensive, but I wanted to buy American, and I liked the set. It does not do great with cleaning the clothes and they smell when they come out of the washer. Do you have any suggestions. It does not fill with enough water even when using the deep water mode. Please help as I would not recommend this. I called Lowes where I bought it, and they said they knew, but are not recalling, or making any adjustments until Whirlpool does.

Bought this washer 5 days ago!!!! Broke after 4 loads of laundry. Store manager says they will deliver new washer. ERROR CODE LD LONG DRAIN and heavy duty humming sound. Unplugged washer to prevent further damage to washer and reduce risk of electrical fire in home. Consumer affairs wants me to rate my experience - rate my experience on what? Ill give 4 stars dissatisfied here, but field wont let me go more than 2 stars. If its this website they want me to rate I give 2 stars dissatisfied, as for the washer, dole out 7 Benjamins for a product that dont work and you tell me!

While the washer is great, the reliability of the dryer is lacking. The timer has broken 3 times on ours in 3 years. Each time the cost of the switch is $75.00. Too much plastic on the shaft. If the plastic was removed, and the shaft was metal, it would be a definite improvement.

My 50 Gallon water heater is still under warranty, model #051718153. The water heater shuts down after a few minutes. Theres a sound of a leak inside the tank. They would not replace the tank; theyd only replace parts. We have already replaced the outer control box and the double burner, and theres nothing else to replace except the tank, which they refuse to do so. If I had called them and said theres water coming out from the heater, theyd have agreed to send me a new tank, but honesty doesnt work.

So I bought this $700.00 dishwasher. It has been several years since my dishwasher wasnt fixed, even though I called Whirlpool customer service several times.AGAIN, WHIRLPOOL HAS VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, INCLUDING DISRESPECTFUL, ARROGANT EMPLOYEES. The service was really slow. What, the materials took 4 months to get delivered? So today they leave a voicemail and they said that technicians were at my house at 12 noon WITHOUT even notifying me when they will get to my house. They basically just came to my house without asking me an question about the schedule and appointment. This wasnt first time. So I called, and the person was like Um, the technicians were at your house. Excuse me? She sighed and said tsk, tsk, tsk. This woman was SO DISRESPECTFUL. She tried to end up conversation by saying, ugh, the technicians will call you tomorrow morning and they will let you know okay?? Bye. and hung up the phone. I didnt have any chance to say something. Again, this is my bad experience. Never going to buy products in this company. Extremely poor customer service, with disrespectful employees. If you dont want to get bad experience, dont buy any products in this company.

We bought our stainless and black Whirlpool stove last month. We love that its black topped, and doesnt show dirt. We love how the oven door seals, and the fast heat. What we do NOT love, is how easily the knobs turn. You barely brush against them, and gas leaking into the kitchen. I called for service. Our guy said yes, they turn easier than most of the stoves he has worked on. He called tech support from my kitchen, and I overheard the guy at the other end. His response was dismissive. I have had gas ovens for 20 years. They have without exception, had a spring type feeling to the knob. This stove has none. I am writing this so that if others are experiencing the same thing, they will see it is not their imagination. Something is wrong with the design of the knobs or some part is missing.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW7340XW sounds like a small jet during spin cycle. The Whirlpool Cabrio Washers have a very well known and well documented problem with the tub bearings failing. Many many disgruntled owners have posted their complaints online, and there are many videos showing the issue on youtube. This issue is so prevalent that the manufacturer has created a tub bearing failure repair kit for $350. The repair is so expensive and labor intensive that many of the certified Whirlpool repair shops no longer work on the Cabrio washer stating that a better washer can be purchased for the cost of this repair.That said, the manufacturers customer service group denies that the Cabrio tub bearing failures is a common problem and are quick to state that Whirlpool holds no liability for this problem. Ramping the complaint up to a customer service supervisor is met with the same canned response. Regardless of the thousands of complaints Whirlpool is claiming that it is normal wear and tear for the tub bearings to fail. The manufacturer should recall the units for this manufacturing defect in the Cabrio design.

I purchased a washing machine FS65 on 10-30-2005. In Oct. 2009, my washing machine developed some fault so I contacted the Whirlpool service center and got it repaired. Again in Dec. 2010, the appliance became faulty and so I contacted the service engineer to attend to the machine. He repaired it and I paid 2500/-. But the very next day, my appliance showed the faults again. It was rectified with replacement of PCB and I was charged 2786/- on 01-20-2011. Again on 09-04-2011, the machine became defective. On the call to service center on 09-05-2011 and attended by engineer on 09-06-2011, I was informed that PCB is defective. I failed to understand that the PCB replaced in January was of what quality that it has to be replaced now after such a short span of time. I feel that this is clear cheating with me.

My Whirlpool dryer - Model# wgd49stbw, serial# ms2405113 went out on 1-29-16. Which I purchased from Lowes in August of 2015. Called the service company that I have my extended warranty with. They came out on 2-1-16. They did not have the part I needed in stock. It had to be ordered by the manufacturer. Sadly, I am still waiting and have been told it might come in on 3-29-16. Every time I call it gets pushed out another two weeks. This is really ridiculous. All the money I have spend at the laundromat I could have had a different source come out to fix. Which I still may do. I will never purchase another Whirlpool appliance again and certainly will NOT recommend. I am 65 years old and have a hard time dealing with the laundromat. If they get this part in by 3-29-16 it will have taken them two months. So sad.
