Bought Whirlpool 30 gal propane water heater in Feb, it lasted until May before the unit died. Paid for the extended plan warranty (NEVER do that!). Called support and they said they could send someone out in a little over a week (week with no hot water). The week goes by and on the day it was suppose to be repaired the guy calls and says his van broke down (this was a Friday, getting that early weekend). The earliest they can reschedule is in another week (over 2 weeks no hot water). Called Lowes to see if I can just return it (extended plan and all), no, you need a return code from the whirlpool customer support. Call the Whirlpool number again to ask for a return code, no, it is a repairable problem (even though no one will come repair it). Lesson learned, will never buy Whirlpool or anything over $50 from Lowes again.

I purchased by first Whirlpool Cabrio washer in 2007 with an extended warranty (my husband did not want me to buy). Thank goodness I did. The machine had repeated issues to the point that the service repairman and I were on first name basis. Finally, the mother board went out. The rust on the sides was excessive and of course my expensive sheets and towels were being shredded. Lowe’s extended warranty plan did honor this and replaced my machine with a new Cabrio washer (big mistake!). The new machine; receipt for this was over $1,600.00, including the new extended warranty that ends in 2014, was bought on 3-25-09. It now requires a new drum and bearings which are being replaced today (9-19-12); however, the corrosion is just as bad and my clothes are still being shredded. Oh, also the lid no longer locks and to get the machine to actually run. I have to physically hold down the lid until the lid locks. The repairman said that there is nothing he can do as the company will not repair this or replace the machine again under warranty! The joints where the lid attaches have rusted through and that is why the lid cant lock. The whole lid needs to be replaced and the company says it would cost about the same as a new machine about $690.00. What a rip-off this company is for the consumer! I will never, ever deal with Whirlpool again and I mean never, ever again! (sans Taylor Swift)!

Extremely disappointed in Whirlpool oven! Built new home and this was recommendation by BAC Appliance. The oven does not self-clean well at all, and my spills are minimal. Deposits between glass doors that cant be removed. Oven is barely cleaner than before I cleaned for full cycle. Oven suddenly shuts off for a short while and then restarts. Steam comes when using lower oven and removes finish on upper oven. I expected Whirlpool to have a quality product. Definitely not! BAC really had no answers for me.

In 2002, I purchased an EE3Z50RD055V 50 gal. Whirlpool hot water heater. Recently several solder joints on the computer module became unsoldered so I cleaned the joints and resoldered them. But several months later another joint became unsoldered so I thought Id just purchase a new module. I called 1-877-817-6750, explained the problem to the young lady. She informed me that they would ship me a new one overnight. I asked her how much this would cost and she told me there would be no charge as it had a lifetime warranty. SURPRISE! Thats what I call customer service! A few years ago, I purchased a Whirlpool Duet front load washer and dryer. Now Im twice as glad that I did. My wife and I LOVE the Duet.

I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer from Home Depot. Within weeks the stainless steel on both products began rusting. They sent a third party repair service to look at both products and determined that, in fact, the stainless steel was rusting. Our technician said that both the dishwasher panes and the freezer doors would be ordered and replaced the following week. This was on September 4, 2015. After several promised arrival dates, the parts never arrived. I called both the third party repair company and Whirlpool on several occasions only to be told they were on back order. Finally, in late November, the new dishwasher panel arrived and was installed. It is now December 17, 2015 and our freezer door is still on back order. When asked what my options are, the Whirlpool representative simply said we have to wait. I said that because I have been so terribly inconvenienced that they should just come and pick up this piece of junk and replace it with a new one. Evidently, that is not an option. I will NEVER purchase a Whirlpool product again as they do not back their warranty. I now have a $2,000 rusted refrigerator freezer to adorn our beautiful Christmas kitchen. Thanks, Whirlpool. Youve certainly made this a Merry Christmas. (Yes, sarcasm in play.)

2 TOP of the line fridges in 3 years!!! First replaced by company CO after I contacted him with outrage as fridge was nonrepairable at 1.2 years of life. Second diagnosed with similar same issue less than 2 years later on same model fridge. This is a rip-off from the company, absolute nonsense that fridge lasts on average 1.5 years with the price sticker over 2500$... Someone should put them out of business!!! This is scam not fridge!!! Stay away from this company, they are not what they use to be, NAME AND QUALITY IS GONE.

Model # WFG510S0AS1 SER #R30850040. Oven was installed NEW in the home I purchased in July of 2013. I used the cleaning feature on it in Nov 2014. I am amazed that it did not start a fire. Please see pictures attached. The whole control panel melted. This makes the oven unusable and extremely dangerous. I will need to replace the whole control panel. I followed the instructions completely in the manual provided for the cleaning cycle. It says in the manual to only clean the over this way as using easy off or any other cleaner will damage the inner surfaces.Whirlpool claims they have no knowledge of this problem but there are numerous complaints on their site about it as well as other internet sites complaining about the melting of the control panel. I need to know how to fix this problem and dont believe I should have to pay for something that is obviously a flaw in the materials used. It is extremely dangerous. Since these pieces of Whirlpool equipment were installed by the broker that originally purchased the home, I have no record of purchase. I can try and contact him and see if he has anything but kind of doubt he has receipts now.

Whirlpool electric range with ceramic cooktop - I have a large black mark on one of the cooktop burners that appears to be beneath the surface of the cooktop. It’s almost within the finish of the burner and unable to be cleaned with cooktop cleaner. I have purchased an extended warranty and arranged for a service call. The repairman came out as scheduled, but informed me after making a phone call to who knows, because he did not tell us that the problem was cosmetic and could not be repaired under warranty. However, if we wanted a replacement cooktop, it would cost almost as much as a new stove. He also said that he had seen many of these ceramic burners with that problem and it was not unusual. All I really want is what is fair, a defect that is not my fault that needs to be replaced. The stove (Whirlpool electric range with ceramic cooktop) was purchased in 2004 and is kept very, very clean.

My Whirlpool oven (Model WFG505M0BS0) stopped working - the bottom oven part (the top burners were OK), the display on top functioned normally, but no fire came on. I called Whirlpool, and then I accessed Whirlpool online and scheduled service with their official service representative - Flamingo Appliance Service ** for September 9, 2020. When the repairman arrived on 09-09-2020, he opened up the stove and checked it, and he told me that a computer part needs to be replaced, as well as the igniter, and the cost would be between $400.00 and $600.00 (I dont remember the exact amount), I told SEVERAL times, maybe its just the igniter (for which the cost would less than $100.00 AND already included in the $134.95), but he insisted that the computer needed to be replaced, I did not like the way he explained it to me, it did not make sense.After that I was planning to buy a new stove, as the repair was too high. But, I decided to try to change the igniter myself before getting rid of the stove (the igniter cost was $21.00). I just got the igniter recently, and installed it, with help from YouTube, and what do you? THE STOVE IS WORKING!!! This is fraud!!! FLAMINGO APPLIANCE SERVICE ARE THIEVES, AND BY ASSOCIATION, WHIRLPOOL, WHOM THEY REPRESENT ARE THIEVES ALSO. I shall publicize to the best of my abilities: NOT TO BUY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS!!! This was not a mistake!!! This is the way they rip people off!! Either by paying exorbitant amounts for unnecessary repairs, or by buying new appliances when the old ones are still good. Dont buy Whirlpool!!! Dont use Flamingo Appliance Service. Theyre both fraudsters.

The refrigerator is about 2 years old. Has worked great. Stainless steel finish looks great. Was a good price at Lowes, with free delivery and removal of old refrigerator. I bought a simple model. Did not need a water connection.

My double oven is only 6 years old - it stopped working on xmas day, had a repair man look at it. He has phoned Whirlpool and has not had his calls returned to buy the part needed. Why is this. I need my oven, why is Whirlpool making it so hard for me to have it repaired.

I bought a Whirlpool washer and drying matching set (model 6400sw3). I liked it because it was extra large without agitator in the middle. Ive had it for about 2-3 years and I have already replaced the drain pump, motor and barrens, it has cost me over 500.00. I thought now OK its working fine, but now its giving me a code every time I wash of LD. I am so fed up with this!! I should have bought a new washer but I felt as much as I put into it, I basically built a new one. And now this code comes up every time and I have to power it off. Im not sure if anyone else has had this problem but I just dont know what else could go wrong with this. I will never ever buy a piece of junk like this again!!

We purchased 2 Whirlpool Cabrio washing machines in 2011. Both required service calls in June 2015. After 3.5 years, the repair company diagnosed that the Whirlpool Cabrio model number WTW7800XW2 bearing needed to be replaced for an estimated $650.00 and recommended that we purchase a new machine. The other machine was spewing water out of the side of the machine. The repair person took the machine apart and could not duplicate the problem.

I purchased a Whirlpool® 4.5 cu. ft. Front Load Washer with Load & Go Dispenser in 2017. By August of 2020 the washing machine was no longer working. The machine would continue to fill with water and not shut off. The machine would then give an error of E01 and F03 and drain all water within 5 minutes of the wash load starting. I had a certified Whirlpool technician come and diagnose the problem for $99. The technician said these error codes happen ALL THE TIME on Whirlpool washers. The technician tried to replace the water pressure switch with no success. He then spoke to a corporate office and was told we would have to replace the motherboard for over $500. The total cost for the diagnosis and repair was almost the exact price I paid for a new washer just 3 years earlier. I will NEVER purchase any Whirlpool appliance ever again.

I have a gas range Model WFG540HOESO Airlift self clean. When anyone reaches across or leans against the range, ever so slightly, the knobs turn and gas is released. It is EXTREMELY dangerous. The Airlift self clean has never worked. When the repairman contacted the technicians at Whirlpool, they told him that there was nothing they could do. In other words, I am stuck with an oven that will not self clean. The water in the bottom does not even come to a boil.

My 1 1/2 yr old refrigerators cooling unit quit and I have been so disappointed with A and E appliance the only warranty service provider for Whirlpool in the state. From first call it took 10 days to service - then told no part - then 2 weeks for part to arrive and service done. 3 + weeks is unacceptable. Lowes tried to help - but said Whirlpool had to authorize a replacement in time for a 3 generation family reunion. Whirlpool was to call A and E to see if they could expedite and Whirlpool never called me back. I will try again on Monday - but my frustration with A and E and Whirlpool prompts me to write this negative review and I am not a negative person!

The front of our Whirlpool washing machine started to rust in one place at the bottom within six years. Now it has broken out in three of four places on the front. We are very dissatisfied with machine and will never buy one again.

Let me start out by saying that I had a Whirlpool washer that lasted me for over 25 years and done a great job of washing my heavily soiled clothes. One day it refused to run and I tried to get parts for it but it had become obsolete and no parts were to be found for it, so I had to buy a new washer. I chose whirlpool again and let me say that it was a huge mistake. This model is a low water, high efficiency, top loading machine. It has nubs in the bottom that agitate to clean the clothes. The first time that I used the machine, I found that I had made a mistake purchasing this machine. It does not clean the clothes and there is NOTHING efficient about this machine. I have to run the washer twice to clean my clothes and they are still not clean. It leaves soap in the clothes and does not rinse them clean of the soap. What it does very well is extract water from the clothes during the spin cycle. This washer really turns up the high RPM`s on spin cycle. It has ripped apart several of my shirts during spin cycle. Whirlpool really failed badly on this machine. I see clearly now that Whirlpool is not the company that they used to be back in the 1980`s. I still have the whirlpool dryer that I bought back in the 1980`s and it still works very well. To end this story, I loaded up this NEW WASHER in the back of my truck and took it to the scrap yard and I asked them to destroy it in front of my eyes. I wished that I had recorded the destruction of this piece of JUNK and posted it on YouTube for the world to see. I got over $450.00 of pleasure watching the crane operator completely destroy this pile of crap. GREAT JOB WHIRLPOOL … YOU HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER FOREVER. I WILL NEVER BUY ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE and will advise others not to buy Whirlpool products as well. I am a male, 62 years old and work hard for my ill spent money on your JUNK. Life is always a trial, live and learn the hard way. Warning to all consumers. Do not buy Whirlpool products ever!!!! We have had this range in our new home and in use since May, 2019. The first range had to be returned after its first use due to flaking of the interior walls; a problem the company acknowledged. Since then we have been so unhappy with its ability to maintain the oven temperature. Contrary to the instructions, we calibrated the oven temp and found that it would vary up to 20 degrees lower than the set temp. When set to 350, it would come up to that temp and then cut off until it fell to 330 when it would come back up to 350. That is a great differential noticeable in the time it takes to heat an item and which greatly affects baked goods. A similar lack of consistency in control in the range elements is apparent as well. Now those are major defects. Minor defects are: it is NOT a rapid preheat at all, both lights are on when the switch is engaged even though only one oven is in use, there is no clock function when the timer is in use and the range surface is difficult to clean as it streaks which is visible with the black finish.

The clothes have a stale and mold smell. The whites like tee shirts and shorts and other whites are a dingy yellowish color. The detergent that was recommended and pellets used every month do not work. I have called and complained several times and the operator said that she had one and it works fine, the other person said to wipe the inside of the washer and leave the door open after each wash and not to store the dirty laundry in the washer till next use. They never explained that you have to run a special pellet through the afresh clean washer cycle. Well, we have tried it every time and the clothes still do not clean and stink bad. We asked them for an exchange and they said no. Is there anything we can do?

I washed my expensive sheets in the washer on deep water... hot and filled up the bleach dispenser as instructed... My sheets came out splotched and ruined... I also keep getting lint on my clothes. This thing just doesnt clean. Im so upset about my sheets. Please dont buy this thing. Also bought Whirlpool stove and paint was peeling off after 3 months. They wouldnt even help me. Im so sorry I trusted Whirlpool.

I bought a portable dishwasher on 6/29/15. It didnt clean well, didnt drain properly. (I followed guidelines from the USER INFORMATION and used rinse). I called a plumber to clean out my pipes. My dishes were still dirty. I purchased an entire soft water system from Culligan. My dishes were still dirty. I called Whirlpool and Pacific Sales where I bought the machine, and got no assistance. On 10/2014 I spent $263.50 to repair and replace parts so the machine would drain. Sometime in January of 2015 it stopped draining again. I just got off the phone with Whirlpool who will not take any responsibility for this lemon. You offered me a policy to purchase for over $200!!! You want me to spend MORE money on a machine that never worked right???? How is that help? How is that standing behind your product? Then there was some lame offer to pay for parts, ONLY if I used your extremely expensive repair people and pay for labor, and $139 just to show up at my door. I asked who I can write to or talk to about this and was told by Sherri that there was no one to talk to but her. Really? Give me a reason to ever consider a Whirlpool product and to not slam Whirlpool whenever someones considering it.

In the past 8 years, I have had to replace 2 Whirlpool Calypso washing machines and 1 Cabrio washing machine. All 3 washing machines worked great for the first 2 years. I purchased the Whirlpool extended warranty on all 3 washers. The first Calypso had 12 repairs done on it. Finally A&E repair service deemed the washer not repairable. Whirlpool replaced the Calypso with a new Calypso. Based on the problems with the first one, I again, purchased the extended warranty. Again, after the manufacturers warranty expired, I again had issues. After numerous repairs, A&E deemed the washer unrepairable. I contacted Whirpool warranty service and was told that they would reimburse me 75% of the cost of their choice of a Whirlpool washer! Since I have had 10 hand surgeries, I need a washer that does not have an agitator (hence the original Calypso purchase). The model that Whirpool warranty deemed as a replacement had an agitator and was also a much lower energy efficiency rating. I found that the Cabrio was a comparable replacement model and finally Whirlpool agreed to replace the washer at 75%. I was angry that they didnt cover the total replacement, but felt at least I got a totally new problem-free washer. I again purchased the extended warranty. I got the Cabrio in March of 2008. In April of 2011, the washer started getting rust around the bleach dispenser and also I would get UL code (Uneven Load). A&E tech came out and replaced a bearing. He said that the rust was not covered under the warranty. I asked how it was okay to have rust around the bleach dispenser if the washing machine is always wet with water. A month later, I was still having a UL code and the rust was getting worse. A&E came out again and said that even though I saw rust around the bleach dispenser, the rust was in fact underneath the tub and had eaten away at the parts. He called the warranty company to authorize repairs and the Whirlpool warranty company denied any more repairs on the washing machine.

When I moved into my current home, this dishwasher(Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1) was already installed. It had never been used until I moved in. After two years of 2-3 times a week use, I have major problems. It will not complete a wash cycle, regardless of what settings I use. It runs long enough for the soap dispenser to release the Finish tablets which dissolve, but then the dishwasher stops running. The dishes are not clean, and neither is the interior of the dishwasher. It also appears to be leaking when it runs. I cannot afford to replace it, so either I will repair it myself or use it to store pots and pans.This is not my first disappointment with a Whirlpool product. A Kenmore refrigerator made by Whirlpool lasted 7 years before the compressor failed. Apparently, the self-cleaning coils werent and caused the compressor to fail. The refrigerator I have where I now live is a Whirlpool over 20 years old and runs perfectly. Apparently Whirlpool quality has deteriorated badly in the last two decades. I will never buy another Whirlpool kitchen appliance because of the dishwasher and new refrigerator experiences. When I searched the Internet for fixes for both appliances, I found many other owners having the same problems I have had.

Have always loved Whirlpool. Like the silverware in the door. Doesnt take up space for other dishes. Cleans well and quiet. Trusted brand and would highly recommend Whirlpool. All of my appliances are Whirlpool, stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer. You might call me a diehard fan.

We purchased an energy efficient Whirlpool water heater on 10-20-2005. This water heater has been serviced at least if not more than three times. The computer box on the top has been replaced twice each time leaving my garage flooded. This time the water is running from the thermostat box again the garage is flooded. I called for service and the representative was very nice and understanding. He gave us the information to pick up a replacement heater. The complaint is the mess that it made. I have already filed a previous claim with my homeowners insurance for the damage. I would like to know why I have to file repeated claims with the risk of losing my homeowners insurance because of the repeated damage caused by Whirlpools obvious defective water heater? I would appreciate some resolution from Whirlpool for the damage this water heater has caused. The replacement heater is fine but I would ask that the to company consider some compensation of the water damage this heater has caused again.

We have had this washer for a year and the longest it has run before breaking down is 3 weeks. Since it takes longer than that to get a repairman out to look at it and another 2 to 4 weeks to get parts, it has run less than half of the time we have owned it. This thing is a hunk of junk. Dont ever consider purchasing one of these lemons.

In July 2012 I purchased refrig, ed2khaxvb (model #). By Oct. 2014, after numerous service calls to unplug ice blocking chute, an ENTIRE door was factory ordered and DELIVERED. Feb 2015, A&E service installed new door. Later that day, I opened the freezer door which had insufficient suction and ice is again sliding down the chute to the floor. The stress this has caused me (87 yrs old). Case #, phone and ref..nos. could fill a book. PLEEEZE HELP. What can I do???? Ty.

Bought this microwave combo oven from Lowes. Went to change the charcoal filters, as specified by the owners manual, and the top cover and the side cover fell apart when I removed the filter cover screws. After two appointments the service tech came out for about 5 minutes to tell me that only mechanical failure is covered by the extended warranty which I also purchased from Lowes.The problem with Whirlpool is that they make the top cover, and some other parts, with cheap thin plastic which crumbles when exposed to heat. The repair tech said, Dont worry. Ill see what I can do. And then he left. Actually the warranty booklet said wear and tear is covered in addition to mechanical failure. Its inexplicable to me why any manufacturer would use cheap plastic for an over the range product. And I intend to fight this until I get this appliance repaired under warranty.

Our 4-year old Whirlpool microwave suddenly stopped heating. We thought that we forgot to push something so we tried again to start it. This time, it started to spark. We bought a new microwave oven and foolishly bought another over the range Whirlpool microwave. This was about 1 1/2 years ago. The second Whirlpool microwave oven stopped heating as well. F7 came up on the controls which meant that the magnetron failed in this second microwave as well. We called Whirlpool and they said they would only repair it if we paid for the repair which would have cost almost as much as a new microwave and maybe more if other parts were involved. Next, last year, 2012, the pump on our Whirlpool dishwasher broke and once again, it was too expensive to repair it. We had to buy another dishwasher so we bought a Maytag, not knowing that they were made by Whirlpool. I guess we will have to wait until that guarantee is up before that also breaks. Also, last year, our Whirlpool washer pump broke and that cost us a few hundred dollars to repair.From the complaints that I am reading from people about their Whirlpool appliances, it is seems that their products are made to last just until the warranties expire. We should start a class action against Whirlpool. On many sites, I have read numerous complaints about Whirlpool products, the majority about the magnetrons in their microwave ovens breaking during and shortly after guarantees run out. They should not be allowed to get away with this. BBB, Consumer Affairs, where are you? To the many of you who have been burned by Whirlpool, I hope you have contacted the BBB and Consumer Affairs and maybe even the Attorney Generals office in your home state.

Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator at Home Depot in 2018. It has been a $3,000 piece of junk!! Customer service is garbage!!! They refuse to address a persistent problem since the day we bought it. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand!!

Hot water heater model #0833T402747 purchased late 2008 - Several service calls had to be made to a plumber, due to this unit not working. The door assembly was shipped to me by Whirlpool. I had to pay again for the plumber to install this part. Hes been here 3-4 times since I bought the unit. Last Wednesday, May 2, 2012, no hot water again. The same plumber came out and said the door assembly had again gone bad. Whirlpool was contacted on Thursday morning and would not agree to do anything. They were given my plumbers name and number and I never heard back from them. I contacted Lowes in Acworth, GA and they agreed to replace the hot water heater. So now Im forced to pay for another install. I requested that Whirlpool pay this expense, and their representative, **, said no. I intend to sue them for all monies spent on this lemon and due to this lemon, I will never buy another Whirlpool product of any kind. I have told family and friends and theyve agreed that due to the bad product and worse customer service, they will also stay away from purchasing anything made by this company. Whirlpool certainly wont be hurt by me and me alone. But Ill make sure that anyone I run into at Lowes or anywhere else is even looking at a Whirlpool product will get an earful from me. This is the type of customer service that consumers dont have to put up with anymore. There are many resources on the internet to get the word out and I intend to spend a great deal of my time doing just that.

Purchased the French door bottom freezer 29 cubic ft. refrigerator on Dec. 22, 2012. Ice maker broke Dec. 2, 2013 and it has been downhill since. Replaced it and it broke again on Jan 2, 2014. Been waiting ever since for replacement parts. In the meantime, the freezer went out. Compressor went out. Freezer is as cold as refrigerator at 40 degrees. Lost food out freezer and food molds in refrigerator after a few days. Repairman came to investigate and determined the refrigerator is a lemon and needs to be replaced. Thankfully for the 5-yr extended warranty, it will be replaced, but it has certainly been a headache. Everything shiny isnt gold...

Just purchased Whirlpool top load large capacity washing machine with no agitator at Lowe’s three months ago. I sit at the kitchen table in my freshly washed exercise clothes and smell body odor. There were six exercise items in the load and supposedly enough soap. The load washed for 45 minutes last evening. Yard work clothes washed yesterday are not clean. I had to remove grass from the bottom of the tub. When I iron my smocks for work, since I work with animals, I pick pet hair off of them as I iron. Judging from other reviews, this torture won’t last long, before I need to replace this piece of junk. My last washer lasted 20 years. If it didnt leak water, it would still be running. Thanks Whirlpool, I guess the joke is on me!

This washing machine is a piece of junk. It broke down exactly 2 days after the one year warranty expired. Home Depot said there was nothing they could do and Whirlpool said the same thing. This washing machine was not used on a weekly basis. It perhaps washed 20 loads during the course of the year. I had many issues with the sensors before it broke down completely. Sometimes, half the clothes would be dry after the entire cycle. I was so angry that I had a local independent contractor come in and look at it. He said the motor was broken and needed to be replaced. So much for $700 down the drain. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. This was the worst experience Ive ever had with an appliance.

My Whirlpool stove works really well, and it is self cleaning. I have had my present oven/stove combo now for 5 years and had not had one single mishap at all. I am so confident that you will like it I am personally recommending it. It bakes beautifully and if there is a spill or overflow in the oven I just press a button & it cleans itself!

I would like to extend my appreciation to Whirlpool for quickly responding to our requests. Within a matter of days, we were contacted by a Whirlpool corporate representative. She listened to our issue and was extremely understanding of our frustrations. The representative assured us that we were valued customers and offered to contact our local service provider and authorize the needed repairs to our refrigerator. This interaction has restored our faith in Whirlpool and its partner brands. The representative also provided guidance on future purchases in contacting Whirlpool to purchase its extended warranty.I would suggest using Whirlpools warranty program instead of a retailers program. Bought washer, it broke down after 1 year. Repair man could not fix for less than $500. Told him he could have it and fix it and sell it. He turned me down. This week went and bought new washer. Told store they could take my washer and he said No. He told me any Whirlpool washer made in the last 2 years break down and cost more to fix than a new one. That I found out to be true. He showed me plastic circuit board not meant to last. They ripped off a very nice senior citizen. Thanks to my son for going and getting me a new washer. Shame on you, Whirlpool.

Bought a Whirlpool Gold model GI6SARXXF04 less than two years ago and have already had three problems. The first was a faulty main water inlet hose that dumped water all over the kitchen floor. It was still under warranty so I didnt have to pay for it. Now have two additional problems. About two months ago there was a puddle of water under the refrigerator every few days. I finally figured out it was ice build up in the bottom freezer chest that melted that caused the water leak. The second issue is that the ice maker just stopped working. It had been working great this whole time and then suddenly it just stopped making ice. I contacted Whirlpool and they will cover the repair for the defrost issue but not for the ice maker. Gee, thanks, way to backup your product. Im guessing the reason they dont backup the ice maker is that its probably the more expensive repair. Like many people here I also will never buy another Whirlpool product again, regardless of what it is. Theyve shown me that not only do they produce inferior products, they also arent interested in customer satisfaction.

Size was greatest consideration, then cost. Next was power consumption. Quality claims were of no value, since ALL are made in China/Korea. Korean made would be a better choice than China. Am satisfied, but not greatly, as refrig. bottom freezer died a few days out of warranty. YouTube video had my exact refrig. so fixed it myself. Bottom freezer drawer keeps coming off its slides, but I live with it. Top refrig. section freezes things on top shelf, but 2 and 3 shelves down, temp is 39 to 42 = cannot get even temp. As a former inspector, I know about air circulation, crowding.

You have to take into account that this microwave doesn’t heat up as others I’ve had so even if the instructions call for something to be cooked for 5 minutes, you have to add at least 2 minutes more. If not it would be undercooked.

My Whirlpool Cabrio has been a real workhorse of a machine. It has been able to take large loads and small loads and get them equally clean and fresh. This was a more expensive model but it was worth the purchase price as I have used the various features provided. I also have appreciated that if you leave clothes on the washer overnight they are still fresh in the morning.

Based on the quantity of complaints logged on this site alone, Id think a recall would be required. Identical to other consumer posts within, we purchased the Cabrio Platinum washer/dryer set (WTW8000BW0). Exactly 24 months to the purchase date, jet planes began flying through our home with the noise concentrated in the laundry room. The dryer has been fine; however, the washer is a whole other issue. The bearings are shot (as many users have cited) and the noise is deafening... even with the laundry door closed, TV on high, dogs barking and flurry of activity in the kitchen! We made a switch to the Whirlpool brand 2yrs ago due to reputation and longevity. Ooops. Lesson learned and $700 out the window. Back to GEs. If youre reading this and concur with our review, just remember... customers always have a choice! Unfortunately, Whirlpool will figure this out the hard way. Just like other iconic brands... Smith-Corona, Blockbuster, Polaroid, Nokia, Saturn, Pontiac/Oldsmobile, Sony and many others. There is typically a reason a company offers tremendous sales incentives (price cut, rebate, special financing) to unload products. We found out why. Thanks for the memories Whirlpool!

We purchased an electric range model WFE371LVQ O in June 2010. This range is only used during the winter months in our vacation home. In January 2016 the oven turned on by itself. The control panel was replace. It happened again on 1/25/19. IT IS A FIRE HAZARD!! Thankfully we were home both times. The only way we got it to turn off was to flip the circuit breaker. If this would have happened when we werent home and a fire started and it killed our dogs I have no idea what I would do. Im not even attempting to have the control panel replaced again. Well be buying another brand. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE. The company must have known about the issue because when we called the first time it happened, which was several years PAST the warranty period, they didnt hesitate to do the repair free of charge.

Purchased this washer 5 months ago. Have had service 3 times as dark clothes come out with white residue. I have done everything possible to correct the problem. They recommended from cleaning the machine, using less detergent, minimizing the load, using extra rinse, deep water and still the clothes come out with the residue. And it takes way too long to wash a batch of clothes. This is a known problem with this model. Repair company recommended a replacement and Whirlpool insists that it is a usage problem. One thing they said Could be water is too cold, I live in Florida there is no cold water! Whirlpool refuses to replace it. DONT BUY IT!!!

Purchased first water heater in 2008 with 6 year warranty. In 2011, pilot light would not stay lit. Whirlpool told me to go to Lowes and get a new one at no cost. But I had to pay for service to identify the problem and installation of new one, costing $250.00. A year and a half later on a six year warranty, the same issue the pilot light not staying lit. They send a pilot light assembly and we pay the shipping and installation cost of $130.00.Two years later, the same issue begins again. Calling tech support, they determine it needs a third pilot assembly at $30.00 for shipping and $265.00 service installation fee by a certified Whirlpool technician. Worked one day! Im so done with this company!!!! I was promised a call from a supervisor with Whirlpool which Im still waiting on days later. Probably for the best at this point. I think I would feel better if I could beat the crap out of a Whirlpool CEO with it! Im cutting my losses and going with a different provider. I will NEVER again purchase another Whirlpool product!

I purchased a Whirlpool (Cabrio) Washer on March 1 2018. I previously had a Roper top loader with an agitator that was 22 years old. I used that washer for that many years and washed clothes 6 out of the 7 days of the week. Probably at least 20 loads a week. I never had a problem with it getting my clothes wet & clean. It never left them dirtier after washing them than they were before washing them. I am so disappointed in this washer!!! I can see it will not do any good to complain to Whirlpool because apparently they dont care about their customers. They think theyre products are perfect when they are far from it. I plainly told the associate I wash clothes every day. Really dirt clothes. (My son is a mechanic). I need a good washer. I can wash them by hand better than this washer does. I am very thankful I have not paid the full price for this washer yet. I will be calling them to come pick it up when my next payment is due. I will be going to one of the local consignment or thrift stores and purchasing myself an old timey top loader washer with an agitator for $100 or less. Whirlpool I had high hopes with this product and would have been buying a dryer to match soon but I believe I will stick to my Roper products or anything other than Whirlpool.

Whirlpool French Door 32 Cu. Refrigerator - Purchased refrigerator Nov 2016. Never worked, never cooled. Called Sears and was told to call Whirpool. Had to then wait 1 week for repair company to send out service tech. He determined it was unrepairable. A replacement was delivered. The replacement started flooding the interior down the back, filling underneath the bottom drawer and down into the freezer (ruining everything in the freezer) and out onto the floor. Called Whirlpool and had to wait another week for a tech. They assessed the problem and left. I was told it would be fixed within the week, that theyd call when the parts arrived. 3 weeks later, no word. Called Whirlpool, the parts were on backorder with no ETA. Two weeks later the parts were expedited, after I called again crying, and a tech came out again to fix the flooding. Two weeks ago the fan started to make a very loud noise and the internal temperature started to fluctuate and finally settled between 55-60+. Everything was ruined, again. This refrigerator is defective. Whirlpools customer service is deplorable. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM WHIRLPOOL!!! They dont care that they make and sell defective crap. They dont care about how much money and time youve lost because of their defective merchandise. You have to have a service repair person come out at least 3 times before theyll even consider a replacement unless the repair tech considers it unrepairable even if it never really works or if the parts take weeks to be delivered. They DONT CARE about anything. Worst part is that I have no power or recourse. No one will help me. I was told today by the Sears Customer Relations to hire a lawyer. :( This is so wrong.

Good Morning. We recently built a home with Pule in Nexton, which is located in Summerville, SC. The appliances we chose came with the dishwasher, stove and microwave. Everything other than the dishwasher has been doing great, but as for the dishwasher I am extremely upset...we are newly weds and received two nice sets of glass and at least 12 of them have been broken in the dishwasher. I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator from Whirlpool guest system (online) in 2010 for around $1,160. Recently, it stopped dispensing water from the dispenser. I called the Whirlpool certified A&E serviceman to repair the dispenser. He concluded that the water line is frozen inside the door. He also stated that such issues with the door shouldnt happen for at least 10 years. He gave me a bill of $920 to replace the door. I called Whirlpool and they declined to pay for the repair as it is out of warranty. I feel that they sold me a faulty refrigerator and they should pay for this expensive repair. With $920, I can probably pay for a new refrigerator (not Whirlpool, of course). I am completely disappointed by Whirlpools customer service and poor quality of their product. This company, I believe, is more interested in selling crappy products, make profit and not provide good customer service. Shame on you!

I have had this washer for a little over one year, it now does not work! I had a service tech out to look at it.. The motor gets too hot and the switchboard stops working. I have called Whirlpool twice and the options they have given me are not good! Basically it would be about half the price of a new washer! I should not be having these problems with a washer this new! I am very disappointed with Whirlpool and wont purchase this brand again!

I purchased a Cabrio high efficiency washer in 2011 and have had the glass top lid crack twice. The hinge is rusted, shedding rust all over the corner of the washer. It is a design flaw, for I see others have had the same problem with this particular year. I have also looked at the newer versions of the Cabrio and the lids have been redesigned. This lid should be recalled and replaced with a newer version, because this lid will always rust and crack with use.

Whirlpool cabrio wtw7800xwo - During the 12th month of the use of this washer, the lid broke. I called Whirlpool to schedule a repair on it. I got someone here to repair it, and it was 7 days over the 1 year warranty. I don’t think this is fair when they sent the repair guy out too late when I scheduled this right before the 1 year was up. I came about looking this up online, and I find I’m not the only one with a 1 year lid. My next washer will be a 1980s built to last. This was the worst $1,100 I ever spent. I had to choose 1 star. Wish it had a choice of - ★★★★★.

I have been extremely dissatisfied with the Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine!!! I tried to take it back and Lowes would not let me return it because I had had it for 6 months. It doesnt put enough water in the machine to get all of the clothes wet. It doesnt get the clothes clean and it leaves some kind of lint residue all over dark clothes. I am only able to put in 1/4 of the clothes I put in my Maytag washer which I loved, but it wore out. I am also short and it is so deep I have to use a stool to get up on to reach into so i can reach the bottom of the machine. Even though it is a huge tub, I can only put a few pieces of clothes in it to get it to clean the clothes. It is a very poor design and needs to be recalled!

I regret buying this washer. No complaint about the dryer but this washer has been the worst investment I have ever made. My clothes gets tangled up - seems like theyre not as clean as with my old washer which by the way I still have. I wanted a bigger set because I hated spending days off doing laundry but I spend as much time rewashing again and getting clothes untangled.

I have gallon Whirlpool hot water heater. After 2 1/2 years, the heater started indicating upper sensor failure. I have had servicemen out here every 3-4 weeks since June. I have replaced gas valves, a new sensor and a new gas meter. I have made several calls to Whirlpool, but cant keep this hot water heater going. I am going to have to find a new heater.

I’m disappointed in this dishwasher, it’s not yet a year old, and it doesn’t clean the dishes, and it also does not dry them. I now wash and dry my dishes by hand, the machine stays soaking wet even two weeks after running it.

I have on more than one occasion and with small or normal loads had the washer stop and will not drain. My landlord says he bought the washer 2 years ago and it is my fault the washer wont drain. I read the instructions and can manually drain it but I shouldnt have to do this every time I wash. This has happened 5 times now and I am considering moving because of it since my landlord wont call a repairman to get it fixed.

We purchased a new Cabrio top loading washer in June of 2011 to replace a Maytag Neptune (thinking at the time that wed gone as low as possible). We didnt abuse the machine. In fact, because it had a tempered glass lid (in a plastic frame), we were careful with the lid on the machine. It broke during a wash cycle. Because its heavy, the lid has spring supports on both sides; these are stronger than the plastic frame and over time the frame will break, rendering the machine inoperable. The discounted price for a new lid is over $200, and Maytag (I mean Whirlpool) tells us that it lasted through the 365 day warranty, so the bill is on us. It may be green when it works, but taking 18 month appliances to the landfill is not very green. And others on the web report say that the lid only lasts a year or so. The ratings scale needs to have negative values. Id give this appliance a -5.

These are the worst washer and dryer I have had. I had them for 5 yr and have had repairman at my home 14 times. They still are not fixed. The dryer is so loud you cant hear the TV. Washer squeaks, gets off balance.

We have a small space that fit a washing machine and figured we could add a dryer on top but didn't have an outside vent, so took a chance in this model. It fit perfectly in the space and saves us from a regular trip to the laundromat. It takes a bit longer to dry but is energy efficient.

My two-year old Whirlpool Duet Front Load washing machine is ripping my familys clothes. When I went online and saw all the other customers with the same issue, I contacted Whirlpool. Although the contact said that he knew I was frustrated, he could do nothing but send a repairman at a cost of $129 for me and then I would also have to pay for parts. I informed him that the online sites are saying that this is just a temporary fix. He pleaded ignorance and could offer me no other alternative. This is the last Whirlpool or Maytag product we will ever buy... and letting others know about the lack of cooperation.

This washer was expensive, platinum line. Clothes never smelled fresh and clean like they should. There is not enough water to cover and clean. After 4 years it started smelling dank and unpleasant even after cleaning cycle is run. Now I discover it has been leaking for quite a while. It will be 6 years old in July. The top wont stay up. After reading all of the nightmare stories concerning this washer one would think Whirlpool would offer a recall and try to correct their wrong doing. Do not buy a Whirlpool Cabrio. The Cabrio is loud, doesnt get clothes clean, and is always flashing UL for uneven load (when it works at all). My local repairman has made many trips to fix my problem Cabrio. Eleven months after purchasing a Whirlpool refrigerator for our office lunch room it stopped working. While the refrigerator was still under warranty, I called Whirlpool for a service call. I was informed that the warranty is voided because the unit is located at a business and not a residential property. I explained to the customer service agent that there is no mention of this policy until after the appliance is purchased. After a considerable amount of time on the phone speaking with several supervisors, I was connected to a Resolution Specialist. She informed me that this policy is available online for consumers to view prior to purchasing Whirlpool appliances and it is the consumers Due Diligence to research warranty policies before purchasing. Consumers beware! Warranties are voided on all Whirlpool appliances that are located at a business address.

A Whirlpool dishwasher was installed by Skyline, a modular home manufacturer, and we occupied the house on August 21, 2014. The appliance never worked and Whirlpool sent repairmen 9 times over 9 months to either repair or determine if it should be replaced. It washed the dishes exactly 4 times in that time. Complaining to Whirlpool only caused a supervisor to scream at my wife that we were the cause of the malfunction. Nearly every part was replaced & they still refused to exchange it for a replacement new one. The modular home manufacturer received the same treatment appealing for us.

I inherited this microwave when we bought our house and have been very happy with it. It does not take up much space, heats well and evenly and the beep at the end of the cycle is not as irritating as other microwaves I have owned. However, I do find the glass turntable difficult to get back on track after I take it out for cleaning. It will wobble if not put back exactly right.

Purchased the matching set. Have had four years and need my second service on the machine for issues. It is a top loader and does a good job but the tub is very deep and not made for short people with a few delicate items cuz they are hard to retrieve. I have to use tongs to get them out.

This started Sept 27 2017 when the ordered online electric range 30 inch slide in oven Whirlpool brand was delivered. When using the oven, a noxious diesel smell filled my home, despite multiple attempts to burn in the unit as advised. 10 days later after still trying to burn it in fumes got worse. I called corp who then sent over a tech to look at it and the tech shared with me when he arrived that he was the wrong person since he cant smell due to an old injury! He admitted he smelled a chemical when it first went on but it went away for him but might have went away due to is impaired smelling ability. I called Corp back and they totally agreed something was wrong with it that could not be repaired and the unit should be picked up and I should be paid back that day it is picked up. They said in a few days which later turned in 2-3 weeks out and counting... I filed a complaint with the BBB due to the ongoing issues. Corp office said they would pick up unit and at that time hand deliver me my refund in full. At first the pick up was weeks out but after BBB was notified they came yesterday 10/18/17 and removed unit, but no check! I called Corp again this time asking why I did not get my money as they promised she said someone dropped the ball, and that someone should have told me that since they had to get someone non-local to get it that they will mail me the check in 14-21 days! She said I see in the notes. They told you they would hand deliver you your refund so they should have called you about the change.So here I sit... No oven in use since Sept 18 and no money back to buy one for weeks yet. I have never been told, despite my requests as to what the chemical was that I was burning off in my home and exposed my family to over 10 days which we had headaches and nausea from (despite windows opened and fans going at full blast). Only that it might have come from the manufacturer or process. This company isnt the only one who has had issues on occasion with a defect in this never-ending chemical smell but the lack of regard of my safety concerns and failure to stand up to what they offered to do (poorly handled response) is simply wrong and bad business. I have not dealt with Whirlpool regarding matters ever and have very little of their products in my home so unsure if this is unique or standard with them. I wont buy their products anymore because I am less than very dissatisfied with my experience. I may have been the only unlucky person having this kind of response from this company but felt the need to share.

I bought the W04H02 SKU Number 13219771. I decided to wait to write this review until Trail Appliances hauled away this piece of junk, which was this morning. I bought this fridge July 2013. In June 2015 the freezer first konked out, so I started using my deep freezer. Then by October the fridge went. I called in my repair guy, who told me he sees this all the time with this fridge and carries many motors for these garbage fridges in his vehicle at all times. So $375.00 later it worked for about 3 1/2 months. Just long enough until the warranty again ran out. At this time I started to read the reviews about Whirlpool, and I was so mad at myself for not reading the reviews first. All I can say is I would never ever recommend this product. I am glad to see this junk out of my home. I never wasted TIME CONTACTING WHIRLPOOL, AS BY THE REVIEWS I READ, THEY DONT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. THEY ARENT WORTH THE TIME.

Whirlpool Duet WFW94HEAW0 Washer - Bought the machine in Feb 2014 and was generally very pleased with it. However a few weeks ago we started getting oil/grease stains on clothing. Wasnt sure what was causing it but it has now got so bad that the machine cant be used. An internet search indicates it is possibly a ball racer ring and doesnt sound an uncommon issue. A call to Whirlpool resulted in a quote for circa $350 for a service call. Thats a 1/3rd of the original value (includes a 12 month warranty). And its just over a year old!!! We had a problem with the Maytag Neptune that ended in a class action suit and now this replacement machine seems to be even worse. I would recommend anyone to really consider what to buy and give this range a miss.

Purchased a Side By Side refrigerator just 16 months back and this is the Third time the ice maker has failed. Who makes JUNK like this?? Worst washing machine ever, I should’ve kept my 12-year-old washer that leaked, it worked better and actually washed my clothes... This washer, the Cabrio 5.3 leaves clothes DIRTY, can’t use fabric softener because it doesn’t wash it out even with the extra rinse and deep water wash, leaves white ** on everything!!! I have to wash everything TWICE! I hate this washer! I hate Whirlpool! Piece of **, I want my money back or I want a different washer that actually works as it should! The washer has rust under the rim in the inside - also the paint is bubbling and peeling under the rim of the washer. I contacted Whirlpool and was told that is a cosmetic problem. There is no warranty for rust or peeling paint. I will never buy another Whirlpool washer. I paid over $700.00 for this washer and I dont think I should have a rust problem after 5 years.

Whirlpool Gold Series Dishwasher Model # WDT710PAYM6 - Purchased this dishwasher in July, 2014. Last week the dishwasher powered off mid cycle. Could not power back up. Tried a few suggestions found online to reset which did not work. I had both a plumber and an electrician look at it. All water lines were fine and power coming in and out of dishwasher and control panel was checked and all looked okay to electrician, but could not get the machine to power up. No longer under warranty. Very dissatisfied there is no recourse.

To be fair to Whirlpool, I have contacted them but have not given them time to respond. I feel so strongly about this issue that I want to get the message about this company product out. About 2 years ago, we purchased a Whirlpool fridge, stove, and dishwasher. I have had so many problems with the stove (WFG540H0AS0) that it has pissed me off, actually. First, the knobs that control the stove top melted. MELTED! We had to replace them to the tune of $30.00 each and there are 5. Why would anyone use knobs that cannot withstand heat on a stove?! News flash, I cook on my stove. Therefore, there will be heat used. Second, the oven keeps shutting off in the middle of cooking my holiday meal. Of course, this made my turkey take much longer than usual. Today, it shut off in the middle of cupcakes. Third, the oven does ignite without turning it on and off multiple times. So we called the repair person who told us to replace the ignition switch for it. This helped for about one month. Then the problem started again. I just emailed Whirlpool and I will call them next business day. I am so disappointed with Whirlpool. I thought they had a good reputation for quality products.

Our Whirlpool Dishwasher model WDT710PAYW is less than 2 years old and is rusting on the outside of the door where the steam vent is. Apparently the hole that was made in the door for the vent was not sealed, now the paint is blistering up due to the rust. Will not purchase another Whirlpool.

I bought it 3yrs ago, and it give us headache, only two weeks used and it stops working. We call their service center and have them check, findings is the motor not working and have to replace, we are asking them to replace it with new washing machine, but they only replace the motor, what we cannot accept is that they replace it with a surplus motor. Only two weeks used and they replace only surplus parts!!! Damn. What a bad experience... (The motor they put is noisy too)! After a year the spring hinge collapse and have to fix it again. And now my washing machine is like a helicopter when spinning, shaking and moving around our laundry area... I dont want to buy Whirlpool anymore.

I have had my Whirlpool W10280546B HE washer for 1 1/2 years. For the last year, I have had constant problems with the washer leaving a large amount of residue (in spots) all over my laundry. I have always run my washer as instructed, and I only used HE detergent in the correct amount. This residue appears to be fine lint, but may be lint combined with detergent.I have used the washing machine cleaning tablets and powders, but this has not helped at all. No one seems to have ever heard of this problem. I have to clean off these spots which cover approximately 1/3 of each article with every washing. The dryer helps get some of it off, but not nearly all of it. Any suggestions besides buying another washer of another brand after only 1 1/2 years?!

I am very upset with this company. I bought my fridge two months ago from Sears. The fridge is leaking water and Im having a lot of problems with the freezer and the ice maker isnt working at all. I was very excited about the performance of the washer as far as reduced water usage and reduced electric usage. After about 6 months though, I couldnt figure out why a lot of clothes, sheets and drapes came out with streaks on them. Very expensive to replace! Of course, the business I bought them from tried to get me to buy all types of fixes that had nothing to do with the problem and therefore couldnt answer me why this was happening. I am not crazy about a lengthy lawsuit. I am crazy about hoping the washer dies so I can go back to a less fancy washer that did the job better than this expensive monster!

Inconsistent freezer and frig temperatures, with vegetables and fruits freezing in the fridge, even when temperature is properly set. Freezer control knob and vents too easily blocked. Unit is very noisy.

Purchased a Whirlpool range. Shopped around for several weeks before I found what I thought was a good price and with a rebate! Ive owned the stove for 2 months and 7 days... guess what? The stove broke. The burners popped. I called to have it serviced and remember that it had a rebate. I never received any paperwork on the rebate but figured its Whirlpool, good company. Wrong... its not that I didnt have the rebate paperwork but the rebate has expired... even though I didnt get any paperwork nor was there any mentioned of a time frame. Dont get me wrong if it had been 1 year or even 6 months... really 2 months!!! So not only did I not get the rebate of $100.00 I have a broken stove! So tired of being ripped off!

We bought this washing machine in 2013 from Plass, an appliance store in Chicago that is now out of business. The top loading plastic lid that holds the glass piece snapped and broke. I called the company, and they said that there is not a recall but that I could order parts. They put me on hold, and 10 minutes later, I was on the phone with a company in Missouri that wanted to sell me a lid for $219.38 plus tax and shipping. I am surprised to see that others are having the same problem and that there are no recalls from Whirlpool!

My oven had been temperamental since day one, then got worse over time. I do not use my oven that much so was not really worried or alarmed until a tray of cookies caught fire. It was set at 350 and jumped to 525 on its own. (I bought an oven thermometer to monitor) Minor burn taking tray out but all okay :-). Contacted Lowe’s where we bought it and they would do nothing (note: at this point the oven is 15-months old and out of warranty). Advised me to contact Whirlpool. Did that - they sent out a repair service and they determined it was the temp. sensor. It is now April 2014 and I am still waiting for the part (this all started Sept 2013). I have since talked and wrote to Whirlpool for this to be resolved and also asked that the range be recalled due to fire hazard at the least! When I spoke to them in December, they said they could give me ‘50% off the part’. Remember I am still waiting for that part, lol! After writing corp h/q, they said “Sorry, since we cant get the part why not have someone come in and take the old part out and have it rebuilt.” I ask you Whirlpool w/q would you be happy with that??? We purchased this washer (Whirlpool Cambrio #WTW8000BWO) in December of 2014. It is now 3 1/2 years old and while the washer worked great til just recently, we now have to purchase a different one because this one will cost too much to repair. We did not get the extended warranty. I have since read that the Cambrio has had a lot of problems. Always check the long term owners and what they have to say about the item, would never have purchased this washer had I known what the problems were and that they even were having them they should have taken it off the market til they got the situation fixed.

I purchased my whirlpool washer on 01/24/2011 and I purchased a 5 yr extended warranty at the time of purchase. My washer broke down. I called the whirlpool co. After 5 mins getting through the phone prompts and another 30 mins on hold I finally spoke with a rep name Ashley who state that there was no account or record of my warranty. She connected me to another department where I spoke with Eva. I was advised that since the company that sold me the warranty was out of business whirlpool would set up an account for me if I faxed the information documenting my original purchase. I faxed the information, waited three days without a response. I called today went through the phone prompts and could not reach the reps I spoke with before. The reps today were not helpful and refused to even try to get me to the reps I spoke with before. I was advised that the previous reps provided inaccurate information.If an appliance comes with a one year warranty and a consumer purchases a 5 yr extended warranty should it be added to the 1 yr or is the first year included in the 5yrs? Wouldnt it only be a 4 yr extended warranty if that were the case? I am very disappointed in the lack of quality of my washer and misrepresentation that was communicated by whirlpool reps. At the very least they should answer the phone promptly and honor the commitment to repair products. This is the case number (**) I was provided the first time I called, but it is not recognized by the reps I spoke with the 2nd time. I was provided 866.368.6478 as a contact# and a fax#. I faxed my receipts to that number as instructed.

I purchased a high dollar built in side by side fridge with custom panels in 4/2005 and had my first service call in 5/2005. Since 2005 we have had 11 service call mostly for defrost failures and over temp. readings. From 2011-11/20/2013 we were issue free then the fridge over temp alarm sounded and we could not hear the fan motor. We had the certified tech come out to evaluate and found that the main control board needed to be replaced. Kitchen Aid/Whirlpool no longer make this item and forwarded us to Core Centric solutions to have a new one built. After speaking with the certified tech who had been out to service our fridge 11 times he informed us that these boards in his experience have never lasted more than a year. We spoke with a customer service rep a Kitchen Aid and asked about a prorated discount on a new built in fridge and she said it seemed reasonable but after checking for authorization informed me I needed to have the board rebuilt at my own cost and that even though this typically takes about 4 weeks to build the fact that our family would be without a fridge is not Kitchen Aids problem. 6/20/2005-over temp/not cooling call (replaced defrost thermostat) 9/2005-over temp/freezer iced over in bottom (freezer decided and drain unclogged) 10/05-over temp/not cooling (replaced fan motor) 9/06-over temp/freezer iced over in bottom (drain line decided, kitchen aid had no advice on how to fix) 10/06-over temp/not cooling, ice build up (whirlpool recommended replace heat kit and bimetal) 11/7-over temp and ice buildup in freezer with leakage (adj to drain pump and defrost drain basin made) 11/07- over temp and freezer icing over (whirlpool sent out a new heater probe) 6/08-over temp and ice buildup (bimetal and foam block replaced) 10/09-over temp, lights and motor shutting on and off (replaced defective board) 10/09- fan making excessive noise (ice buildup found on evaporator fan)11/13-over temp ice buildup in freezer, burning smell from fridge and no air movement or cooling in either compartment (need board rebuilt as on 10/09)Board no longer available from whirlpool, must be custom built at owners expense and will take up to 4 weeks. D/t continuing issues and whirlpool not willing to help the customer with replacement I would highly suggest no one buy a Kitchen Aid fridge.

Purchased a Whirlpool washer 14 months ago... however just unboxed the washer. Installed it in our new home. Now after just two, repeat, two months of use, there is water all over the hardwood floors... The front door seal is gone to the tune of $100 but what about my floors!!!!!! Im so discouraged after reading all the complaints that Im falling out of my chair. Seal design has been the same on most all their front loaders. DO NOT BUY A FRONT LOADING WHIRLPOOL WASHING MACHINE. YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU DID. Yes they look pretty. My parents old top loader washer lasted over 35 years without a repair and we washed clothes for four people.

Whirlpool has always been known for quality products. But the range I haves burners are failing. It is eight years old. Think it should last longer than that. The oven works good, but the temperature varies as well. Lower oven door is designed bad, because grease gets trapped between the two glass doors and cant be cleaned.

My wife and I tried to buy a Whirlpool refrigerator and when dealing with their customer it seemed like the left hand didnt know what the right hand was doing. My wife and I were really disappointed being that these refrigerators are supposedly made in America; thats why we wanted a Whirlpool; but we would never buy a Whirlpool now because of the way we were treated also. Sincerely unhappy with our experience!

Subject was included in our new condo less than 5 years ago. It appears that all we have to do is look at it and it falls apart. There is constantly another piece of plastic on the counter. Our experience in calling Whirlpool for service is that it is very expensive and time consuming. A refrigerator installed at the same time as the purchase had a defective ice maker which took three service calls and a final installation of a broken part by me before we were together again. 2 (two) service men recommended that if we had problems again that we do what they did. Buy Ice Cube trays!!!! What a great recommendation.

Purchased new home with Whirlpool appliances installed Aug 21/17. Six months ago, I noticed that when I opened the door to the microwave over my range, the light flickered. A few months ago, intermittently, stopped working, now, not working. After reading the reviews, I am having the same problems other consumers are having. DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS! DONT BUY!

Whirlpool Gas Range Model WFG524LAB0 - Purchased on 09/2013. Product works well but noticed back in July 2014 that cook top was not cleaning well. Did not mind it that much thinking it was just baked on grease and would just do a general cleaning when I get to it. After the holidays and now getting around to clean the range top, I discovered the cause of range top not cleaning well. The porcelain was chipping away.Today I called Whirlpool customer to complain and see what they do. They replied that it was just a cosmetic blemish and that was not covered under warranty. I told them that that cosmetic blemish lead to rusting and eventually result to failure of the product. They also said it was out of warranty but was eager to have a tech come over to check the problem out for additional fee.

IM single, and my current refrigerator meets my basic needs quite well. One drawback -- it has an ice making machine which I never use. Therefore, that takes up room in the freezer which could be used for frozen foods.

I was so excited when I bought this stove. It broke right outside the warranty. It shuts off in the middle of baking or just doesnt stay on at all. Bad, bad, bad. They told me it would cost $400 just for the part, not including installation. What a rip off. I called the tech and he said this is a known problem. He advised me to just toss it and buy Hotpoint which has a much better consumer report rating. Sad.

I purchased a Whirlpool WFW9050XW washer in Aug 2011. I have had nothing but problems. Sears sent repair tech 2x; it would work for a couple months and stop. Whirlpool has sent new motor, tub, switches, etc. I feel I bought a lemon and I want Whirlpool to replace the machine.
