Water saver does not provide enough water to wet the clothes. Even deep wash cycle does not provide enough water. This is right from the start. We should have returned it the next day rather than trying to learn how to use it wasting time so it could never be returned. I rated them as 1 star because there was nothing less I could have given them. DO NOT BUY ANY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS.

Having spent over RS 40000 on a so-called quality product one does not expect to spend nearly 20000 within the first two years of the purchase. 1. As soon as the warranty got over the PCB (costing 3000) broke down. 2. This replacement had a 3 MONTH warranty. Exactly after 9 months again the PCB breaks down along with leakage of gas. The service team asks us to buy a stabilizer to ensure that no such issues occur as they attribute these breakdowns to voltage fluctuations which are not of any precedence in Delhi. Also the product I am using was sold to me as a stabilizer-free working. 3. I made the suggested investments 4 months later the fan and motor of the freezer stop working. Imagine so much repair work on a new equipment. I have been writing to them yet all that they say in response is we are looking into the matter. NO ONE SHOULD BUY WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATORS.

I love that as soon as Im done cooking. I can lift my grate with oven Mitt, clean the gas cooktop before food becomes caked on. My stove looks as good today as day I bought. The third rack was great for holidays.

I purchased a Duet several years ago and did not have a clue as to the problems everyone was having. Over the course of ownership I called the city to determine if we had a sewer leak. I had a plumber inspect our pipes. I felt really stupid that it took me this long to figure out it was the washer. I knew it smelled like mildew and have been using vinegar, afresh, Clorox until I am blue in the face. I didnt figure out that the sewers smell was also the same as the washers until I got on line and read about these machines. Finally, I lifted up the gasket around the door and it was completely black with mold. No amount of afresh was going to fix this problem. Do not purchase these front loaders. Feel like they should have been recalled and I really dont understand why they are still in circulation. I have also been having health/breathing issues and I cant help but think the mold is causing my illness.

I have purchased a Whirlpool Washing Machine Mode W/P WM ROY 6212SD(31089) Sl.No.INF 153400517) GRAY/CHR TN 6.5 on 05.12.2015 with two years warranty on complete washing machine. The warranty period over on 04.12.2017. Exactly after over 3 months the machine start giving noise and we had been in touch Whirlpool and registered the complaint during last week of March 2018 and their local service center people visited, charged Rs.500/- service charge and informed that the machine to be taken to their service center to ascertain the complaint. After over a week informed that the machine complaints of Tub Support, Seal, Bearing, Drive etc. and the estimate is Rs.5,900/- including transportation (hardly 6 kms). The machine cost was only Rs.16,900/- then. I am surprised to know that just after 3 months of expiration of warranty the machine went wrong and the cost or repair costs me Rs.5,900/- is very huge. I hope the concerned will examine this.

The washer began to start making noises as if coins were in it or plastic breaking every time I wash. Also, it does not wring clothes out good and clean well. I have Whirlpool Cabrio.

I purchased two Whirlpool refrigerators 9 years ago and this year, 2018, both of them died. Bad compressors that cost up to $700 to replace. Repair folks would not guarantee them as there could also be other issues, like leaks in the internal parts of the refrigerator. I have a 20 year old frig (Kenmore) in my garage than runs great, no repairs and is in a non heated area. My conclusion is that that Whirpool reduced cost by making cheap products.

Washer has rusted out after only four years. I bought my set from Sears, and thought I would get good use out of it for many years; but I am experiencing rust falling from around the rim of the washer. Very dissatisfied with the product, I will never buy another appliance from Sears again. I have always used Sears appliances but after this experience I would not recommend Sears to anyone. I was told that the warranty was for one year, and the rust would not have been covered anyway. Very Dissatisfied Consumer. I thought Sears would stand behind their products. Yea, right.

WRF989SDAM00 - We spent about $1800 on a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator and at 1.5 years we had to replace the compressor for $700+. Apparently Whirlpool will only warranty for 1 year. The repairman told me the compressor he was putting in is exactly the same model as the bad one he took out so I guess I am not surprised that it only has a 1.5 year working range. We are now 1.5 years into the new compressor and sure enough it is dying again. Now it sounds like a jet plane taking off. By the time I replace it again I could have bought a new refrigerator. I am trying to figure out if this refrigerator is on recall because I cant keep replacing the compressor every 1.5 year. Never again will I purchase a Whirlpool product. I think they know the lifespan of that compressor and that is why the warranty falls just short of it!!

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator on 4/6/2011 - Model No. G17FVCXWQ00, SIN No. K01044078. Since that date, we have had many, many problems with the ice maker not making ice and jamming with ice cubes. If we use ice, then it will not make ice for several days. We had a service man come and try to fix this problem but the problem still remains. What can we do to get this problem resolved?

Even with the hottest water on the most heavy duty setting, regular dinner plates are not cleaned. The flatware holders that are set in the door (instead of free-standing in a rack) do not have adequate holes in the holders and are too far away from the limited jets to get adequate soap and water to cleanse the flatware. Even after rinsing all scraps off the plates and flatware, we find bits of food, gravy, or smudges on the plates and flatware - since its first usage. The manufacturer had the audacity to claim that was normal. Settings include delayed starting, heavy duty versus normal washing, and different types of drying. The heavy duty washing is definitely poor quality, and there seems to be no difference between any of the drying settings. The delayed start is nice. The physical layout of the prongs on the racks and the folding racks do not allow easy fit for most sizes of pots plus plates on the same bottom rack. I cannot put a 1 gallon pot level on the same rack as dinner plates. I must put it beside salad plates. Only small sauce pans fit neatly or cleanly beside dinner plates. Yet the external dimensions of this dishwasher are the same as the competitors standard size. Looks neat and is easy to clean. Also, the exterior does not show scratches. Actually, I cannot see where the exterior has any scratches. The service people were very little help. The Warranty said that after five (5) service calls the unit would be replaced. We made six (6) service calls, but we were told that we did NOT have six because if you called again within 90 days of a call, that was considered the same service call. That requires 450 days minimum to have five (5) qualified service calls, but that warranty was good for only 365 days!

We have had Whirlpool front loading washers for 15 years. The first had a bad bearing problem, that was eventually fixed, but still disappointing. The second doesnt is missing some features that the old one had. All and all I am happy with this washers and do not know of anything better, within my price range.

We bought this fridge about 5 years ago, it was the exact same model as one we bought in 2003 but everything had changed, the plastic for the drawers was a fraction of the thickness in the older model and it breaks and cracks with the slightest bump like setting the lettuce in, the frame of the door is full of cracks and the fridge keeps leaking then freezing and making puddles on the floor. The little plastic tabs for the ice dispenser broke. It is absolute garbage. The one we bought in 2003 was great clearly the company has NO integrity or desire to make a decent product. I wont be buying anything Whirlpool EVER again.

The Cabrio model (WTW5640XWO) I purchased in March 2011 died within days of installation. I was given instructions to modify the hose placement which resulted in a flooded basement and ruined carpet. Problems continued during the first year; several service calls. The problem was always the same; it did not drain/spin leaving a mess of soggy wet clothes. It died a final death - the same problem a few months after the 1-year warranty expired. The repair people have been out four times since. The last time, a $70 repair lasted less than 3 weeks for a bad shifter - always the same problem. Whirlpool will do nothing except offer to send a repair team out for a flat fee of an additional $120 with no guarantee they would fix the problem or replace the lemon. This week this Cabrio will be heading to the landfill. Ive had enough. No more Whirlpool products for me ever.

After 48 years of marriage, I had never had a new, matching washer/dryer set. I had had several new washers, but only used dryers. These all were very good units and served me well for years. So I was excited to buy a new, matching set. I have never been soooo dissatisfied with anything in my life. As I have read from other reviews, the washer uses very little water, sometimes hardly enough to get the load of clothes wet, very little soap, and in my opinion, does hardly any agitating. I dont feel my clothes have ever appeared clean. The only ones that look clean were the ones that started out looking clean when I put them in. I know this is all an ecology thing, water saving, government guidelines, etc., but please give me my old washer back. It did enough agitation to get clothes clean. And the dryer usually will not get the jeans dry on the first attempt. I have tried various settings, and they just dont get dry. In short, I HATE THIS WASHER/DRYER SET. I have heard others talk about the same thing. No one likes them, but we are stuck with them. Would like to have the government step in and see how dissatisfied everyone is with them and force Whirlpool to give us our money back, trash these units, and buy something that actually works. PLEASE, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR WASHERS AND DRYERS, DONT BUY THESE. I believe they are called Cabrio.

The Whirlpool washing machine I bought is a piece of crap! I only do laundry every 3 weeks/3 loads and the machine broke in 13 months. Now it has broken a fourth time/same part - I have had the machine for 5 years and they can not do anything about it. I will not be buying Whirlpool again - of any kind.

The main control panel on my Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine broke twice in the second year of ownership. I bought this in 2006. The part was replaced in March 2007 and then again in October 2007. Now, it is broken again and Whirlpool says too bad, they will not replace it again and will cost us $275 to fix it. People have posted about this problem all over the internet. How can they not help their customers and recall this washer part?

Whirlpool N50T61-403 - I bought this thing today 8.21.14 from Lowes. It is a Whirlpool 50-Gal water heater (6th sense) and was going to have it installed by their installer, but elected after seeing it was very similar to lining up with my old unit. I got it in and then filled it. After filling, I lit the pilot light per the instructions then turned the knob for heating it up. Success, the flame spread across the burners...then went out. The steady blink changed to the 2 blink code indicating a bad thermopile. It did not work - right out of the box. No plumber near me carries the part. Whirlpool has thus been pretty good about it offering to have someone come out at their cost... But if no one has the parts, that is no good. I am moving from this house so if we can get it to work, its the problem for the next owner. If not - Ill have to get an RMA and go back to Lowes... Then try the Rheem from Home Depot. Will see if they will overnight a part tomorrow. I found the other reviews - and I dont like it that this thing appears to have difficulty right out of the box.

It took 5 deliveries to get a fridge that wasnt damaged. First two came from Leons - the same damage on both. Then they said we had to go through Whirlpool because so much time had lapsed. We had purchased the full set of Whirlpool Gold for our kitchen renovation; therefore, we were unable to unpack the fridge until the cabinets were completed. I phoned Whirlpool Canada, and they said they had to send a service tech. The service tech came, and he confirmed the damage and was told to patch it with a proxy. Sorry but I had just paid $1500 for a new fridge. I didnt want a dent and damage. We received no offer for discount to accept the damaged fridge. They sent another one, still damaged. They used their truck to deliver and the guy had no idea how smashed our brand-new trim.So Whirlpool sent another fridge, and even though I asked them to check it before sending, they didnt. It was damaged. This is four fridges. Im tired of fighting with Whirlpool. I called Leons, and they take care to get me a new fridge undamaged. I told Whirlpool about the damage, and they sent a form. First, they wanted me to claim on my house insurance. Why should I put on a claim? If not, get two quotes and fill out tons of paperwork. Im just too tired after fighting for over two months to get a fridge that isnt damaged. Not even an offer of compensation to cover all the time taken off work and the stress on me and my family. This is the second set of Whirlpool Gold we have purchased in the last 4 years. I doubt I will ever purchase again, because you are a company that doesnt treat your customers with respect or concern.

The latch on the attached-to-the-door silverware basket on our Whirlpool GU3600XTVQ3 dishwasher has broken three times since the unit was installed in July 2011. This last time, the technician brought a new one and it broke the next day. I cannot understand why a company with a supposedly good reputation would include an accessory with such a faulty design, made of such flimsy materials. We have the basket wired shut again and have to call the repair place, but I have no confidence that anything the technician brings to us will work any better, since its the same stupid design and shoddy workmanship.

I bought the front load washer 4 years ago. The tub bearing suddenly broke. We have 2 people in the house so the washer is not used more than 4 times a week. I was told it would cost $700.00 to repair. The washer was bought with a stackable dryer. Now Im told they no longer make a washer to go with the dryer. I called Whirlpool/Maytag and they could care less. The explanation I was given is that it is a man-made appliance. That is the worst customer service I have ever gotten. I would never recommend Maytag/Whirlpool. In fact I will highly discourage against it.

I bought a compact washing machine and 4 months later it broke, needed a CCU board. To make a long story short now the machine is 7 months old and still broke. Whirlpool cant locate a part for it nor do they want to replace it. I think its time to get a Lawyer involved. Ive been calling for weeks now and have gotten nothing but the run around from all very Rude employees. Im turning this over to a lawyer. Im done dealing with Whirlpool. Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer: nice job Whirlpool! You designed a washer that breaks if you accidentally wash a coin! For the second time in a few months, were fixing our washer because a coin was in a pocket. The coin gets sucked into the discharge pump and sounds like popcorn popping when it drains. It rattles around the inside of the machine’s pump until it breaks the plastic pump housing. You will know when this happens because there will be water on your floor. Did you ever consider a screen to prevent a coin from ruining the washer? God forbid someone leaves a coin in their pocket. Well, if you leave a coin in your pocket and wash your jeans, it will cost you a repair every time with this hunk of junk. This would be my last Whirlpool. It will actually be cheaper to throw this thing out and buy a new one, since it won’t be the last time a coin accidentally makes it into the washer.

We purchased Whirlpool Oasis. The top loader washer and dryer 5 years ago from Sears. Both are scrap now. Paid high end money for these. Tub was changed on washer 2 years after purchased. Now looks like electrical control panel is gone. Oh well, Sears not really the problem because Whirlpool holds the monopoly on appliances. They are made to fail. We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio about 3 years ago. Have never really like it. It doesnt add enough water to the wash cycle unless you use the bulky setting, which fills the tub up the entire way, so wastes water. It would have been nice to choose your water level like you could on the old machines. Now it wont drain completely and wont spin totally. Ive tried using the drain/spin cycle 2-3 times extra and it still wont spin all the water out. Ive noticed that there is still water in the drum, you can hear it slosh when you move the drum, so I wonder - has anyone ever been told there is a filter in there somewhere that might be clogged keeping it from draining completely? My husband thinks that maybe all the water in the bottom of the drum is not letting it spin because its throwing it off balance. And yes, it stops before the cycle is complete and just sits there and blinks and you have to unplug it to clear the cycle. What a pain. We will never again buy a Whirlpool and I absolutely do not recommend Whirlpool washers. I have a Maytag as well and have not yet had problems with it. Bought it at the same time we bought the Cabrio (2 households). At least the water levels in the Maytag are a little more normal. You can wash more than 1 pair of jeans and get them clean in the Maytag. For those of you with the problem of the clothes not smelling clean - try running the clean cycle with a cup of bleach about once a week. No clothes in it - just a cup of bleach in the bleach dispenser and nothing else. Works for us.

As very happy owners of a previous model of this fridge freezer when ours needed replacing, we went direct to Whirlpool and bought the latest model. What a mistake! Other comments on this site are so accurate if only we had seen them before. A kitchen floor covered in ice mush (cubes seem out of the question) and tepid water from the water dispenser whereas on the previous model it was chilled. Basic functions that the previous model excelled at. Sadly it is also badly designed inside the fridge. We raised these issues with Whirlpool within our first year who merely said sorry you are unhappy and thanks for your comments. Be very wary of Whirlpool products and service.

We bought our Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine and dryer in May and it was the worst purchase we have ever made. We have had a technician out to our home three times. Whirlpool said that the next time the technician comes out to your house, you will have to pay for it and we have the extended warranty! The problems with the washing machine are many. 1. Leaves white streaks on dark clothes. 2. Not enough water covers the clothes, so clothes do not get clean. 3. The spin cycle is so violent that clothes are damaged. 4. The soak cycle is a joke. Soaking means to sit in water and soak. This machine drains the water so there is no soaking.5. With this very expensive machine, we can use only one cycle; bulky items on the low spin with a repeat rinse.The dryer is equally terrible. As I write this, I have two pairs of jeans going through the dryer for the third time. According to the technician, a heat sensor determines whether the clothes are dry. We have not had one load of laundry, big or small, that has dried in one cycle. But the technician said that this is how this machine works. We have tried all the cycles. According to Customer Service, the technicians found nothing wrong with the machines hence, we will have to pay for the next repair call. If you are looking at this machine and dryer, dont! Do not waste your money or your time. Washing laundry is a nightmare because the machines do not do what they are supposed to do --wash and dry the clothes.

I bought a 38 gal. low boy electric Whirlpool water heater from Lowe’s. It was replaced because of a leak around the upper heating element after only one year. Now, the replacement heater is leaking in the same place, and it has been leaking so long that the electric terminals are rusted, water is standing in the cover plate, and the lining is soaked. I cannot see behind the plate and dont know it until the water finally made its way into the drip pan beneath the heater. When we saw the standing water, we turned off the electricity and shut off the water to it to stop a fire hazard. The warranty is up on my water heater, but my concern is that this could cause someones home to burn.

Ive had so many problems with this washer. Everything has been replaced on the machine and it is still a failure! It has overflowed 5+ times. Stopped draining 4 times (fun getting water out of it...). Have been without a washer for a total of two months! My In-Laws have the same and theirs hasnt been a problem (however it isnt used as much as mine.). Hopefully mine is just a Lemon! Ill never buy another one!!!!! Especially from Lowes. They deem it only a lemon if it has had the same issue for 4-5 times. That is with the extended warranty! TO THE DUMP IT GOES!

I have purchased all new Whirlpool appliances for our new home in March 2009. I have had trouble with the refrigerator door panel and will not switch between ice and water. Cost to replace over $100.00. Now its the range. When turning on the oven, my wife said she saw a flash of bright light and then I turned around and it was smoking up the house! I quickly pull the stove out and unplugged the stove. I then remove the back panel and found the right side of the control panel was burned. Had I not pulled the plug, a fire would have started. I have pictures to prove that! The cost to replace the control panel is $267.00 and that doesnt cover the repair man coming out to test if anything else is bad!

We replaced our kitchen appliances and went with Whirlpool. The oven and Refrigerator havent had any issues yet but the dishwasher has been crap since it was installed. While it looks 10 times better than my old dirty dishwasher it replaced, its main function of washing dishes is 1/4 the of the quality after running two or three times. Not to mention the average cycle time is 4-8 hrs. Dishwashers by design, should be convenient and save time. Whirlpool managed to remove both of those traits from this Dishwasher and now their warranty service said they can send out a technician but I will have to pay for it if it’s not covered under warranty!

I agree with the comments already made. My crisper drawer plastic rectangular piece just literally decomposed! It shredded into little pieces and cracked and broke, dropping one side of the draw set. I called about it - nope, not under warranty - replacement cost? Merely $150 so my drawers could be in the refrigerator. Also, because of the stress of the angle the drawer holder was when it broke, it cracked the drawer at the back - and the drawer had one grapefruit in it at the time. (Not considering replacing - cant imagine what that would cost when the little brace piece approx 14 was so expensive.) The flap - yeah, it split. I am a single person, no kids EVER in my refrigerator and I travel so much that I am barely home 20% of my days. The refrigerator gets very little activity opening and closing the doors yet the flap sliced. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN??? With any break in the seal as they called it, the refrigerator starts collecting moisture inside (and I live in the desert so we have very little moisture in our air) and drips or starts causing frost build up on the icemaker. Yesterday, once again, the icemaker stopped working. When I asked about replacing the flap I was told the entire seal needed to be replaced @ the cost of $232 PER DOOR!! Right now with just the plastic rectangular piece and the bar between the two drawers (BTW the rollers on the frame are not included with the frame purchase they announced) I have $614 in repair parts WITHOUT fixing the icemaker! Last night water was running in my refrigerator from the icemaker. I WILL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND WHIRLPOOL TO ANYONE EVER AGAIN. I have been a Whirlpool ONLY customer for over 45 years!!!! They told me that I had to schedule an appointment with a service person at a minimum of $100 cost to me - JUST TO FILE A COMPLAINT with Whirlpool! They only take complaints from service people submissions. I advised the Whirlpool representative to start looking for another job because if this was the way they treated lifelong customers, her job may be eliminated due to No Customers! Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum WTW8500BWO - It doesnt wash anything very well. I hate it. Dont want it. Wish I didnt buy it. I do all kinds and sizes of loads. My clothes come out dirty - I have to wash my clothes 2 or 3 times.

I would not, at this time, even really give this product 1 star, but that was the lowest rating allowable. We purchased a Whirlpool Gold French Door Refrigerator at Lowes a couple of years ago after our Amana was toasted by a close proximity lightning strike. (It got more than just our frig, but the replacement frig is the only item we have had issues with.) We even got the extended warranty thru Lowes for the unit. Shortly after the extended warranty expired we started having issues with the bottom freezer door icing up. We thought that possibly the grandkids had not shut the freezer. So we cleaned up the ice around the door, but the problem persisted.The ice cream in the freezer was rock solid, to get it out of the container you had to put it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. The items in the frig were also frozen. So we emptied the frig and freezer, unplugged the unit and let it sit for a couple of days with the doors all open. We then plugged it back in and hoped for the best. It seemed to be ok for a couple of days then the ice on the freezer door appeared again. At this point, I contacted Whirlpool to see who was a licensed repair company in our area. I contacted the licensed repair service, explained my issue, they got the model and serial number info and ordered what parts could conceivably be the culprits.The tech came, the unit was frozen up, all the vents in the freezer were showing icing. So he removed the back of the freezer compartment and thawed the unit out. At the same time I mentioned that the ice maker had quit working, he found that the wiring connection was not properly connected and fixed that while he had all the stuff out. After re-assembly he ran all the diagnostic tests Whirlpool lists and found everything passed. Since the boxes of parts had not been opened they could all be returned to stock. So no charge for parts, as he could not find indication that any were needed.So 1 service call at $100 and it appeared that maybe the issue was resolved, not the case. Not even a month later, issue re-occurred. No grandkids had been there, no instance of the freezer possibly left ajar. Another service call, and by the time the tech arrived, since I had unplugged the unit and emptied it again, all the frost/ice was melted. $100 for a service call, tests all came back as nothing indicated as not functioning.So if I dont put too much stuff in the freezer or too much stuff in the frig it will run without freezing up for about a month. Oh and weekly put it into the defrost mode a couple of times. Now it has started making a tic-tic-tic or rat-tat-tat sound to the fun and games. If the noise is non-stop, it only stops when you open the freezer door. Leading me to believe it is a fan. (Correct, I was told by the local Whirlpool licensed repair facility.) I have spent the weekend, again thawing out my unit in hopes that the noise will cease. It is loud enough to be heard at the other end of the house.No such luck, so I spent an unproductive 1-1/2 hours on a call to Whirlpool yesterday. The larger part of the time was on hold waiting to talk with someone, anyone. Due to our unusually high call volume, wait-time is long today. Thank you for your patience. She had very little to offer except, Im sorry you are experiencing these problems. Oh, you cant believe what you read on the internet was her response to that tidbit. She offered to sell me a Repair Plus 1 Plan for only $359.95. A licensed repair service comes, repairs your unit and the plan gives you ONE YEAR of peace of mind. Lets see... I said... so you are offering me an extended one year warranty? Oh, but it comes with a repair first then one-year peace of mind. Seems that Whirlpool has moved into selling warranty extensions rather than fixing the issues with these Whirlpool Gold French Door refrigerators. With what I have already paid for service calls added to this Repair plus 1 Plan, I would have invested $$$ enough to BUY A NEW FRIG that is not a Whirlpool product.Seems a bit foolish to me. So Whirlpool is not admitting that there is a design or manufacturing problem with these units. Even the ones sold just this year seem to have the same issue. They have not corrected this and it appears they have no intent to do anything about it. She did indicate that they had a known issue with the drain and that a fix was offered for that (a redesigned drain unit could be installed). But since I was not getting ice build up on the bottom of my freezer compartment I did not appear to need the redesigned drain unit. Her evaluation of my issue was that the drain did not appear to be a problem.So after a fruitless call to Whirlpool, oh and they did have my previous emails concerning my issues on file but did not consider my complaints to be part of a known issue, I have the local tech coming back to see if possibly there is something, anything to be done with this refrigerator. So another $100 at least, likely no resolution if the service tests all come up normal again! So when the tech comes, I am going to ask him to contact the service engineer that he is supposed to have the contact info for (per Karen at Whirlpool) and see if he can get any resolution to my issues by using that service engineer.

Brand new box so I bought some meat and placed it in the freezer. Kept it cold or partly frozen but never froze solid. Every time it went into defrost so did the meat. Found meat juice running out of freezer. Called serviceman out 5 times. He told me every time it was fixed. Finally, after 3 months it was fixed. I had to throw out all my meat but of course Whirlpool would never cover any replacements. I will never buy a Whirlpool refrigerator again. If they dont have a Q.C. Dept better than that and sell seconds as first I couldnt trust the company the next time. So sad!

Washes great. Love the literal bells and whistles. Never has failed to give the family a very clean wash. Price was great and got the matching dryer too. I have heard prices have gone up but this washer is worth every penny.

If you want clean clothes dont buy this machine(Cabrio Washer)! First of all I find that my clothes have dry spot on them when I pull them out of the machine. Whirlpools response is that the machine spins at such a high rate that the cloth will actually seem dry. Doesnt make sense to me that a shirt that has another garment on top of it gets dry in an unexposed area. I have also been told to always use the high water setting. This helps but the clothes still are not clean. Also my dark slacks come out with residue lines on them - Whirlpools solution; never wash anything in cold water. In addition the machine is very noisy. It sounds like the water pipes are being kicked out of the wall. And forget about washing a king size comforter as advertised, a twin comforter doesnt get clean or even thoroughly wet and residue lines are left behind. Hate this machine! So glad I didnt buy the extended warranty since my attempts to have them stand behind this product have failed. I feel the money would be better used towards a different brand.

My new Whirlpool refrigerator has accumulated ice on the top of the freezer compartment from day 1. I called Whirlpool and a repair was scheduled five weeks later September 12. The repair person said he needed a part and would order a new light switch and ice door parts from Whirlpool. Ten days later he came back with a new switch and instructions to file some plastic off the ice door part so it will close properly. It only partially worked; ice stopped forming in the ice chute but still formed on the top around the light switch. The new switch is not flush with the liner and the plastic liner has a small crack starting at the switch. How Whirlpool wants to cut out a six inch square of the liner including the switch and glue in a patch. This patch would only be warrantied for the balance of my one year warranty. I find this unacceptable and will complain to the store where I purchased the refrigerator.

Whirlpool refrigerator Model #GX5FHDXVY010, freezer on bottom. Ice maker broke within six months of purchase. Made loud noises, would not function to freeze ice. Turned waterline off and now use ice trays like the old days. Shortly thereafter, second unrelated problem started. Drain line started backing up and runs into the bottom of the freezer floor where it freezes into a thin sheet of ice, and then runs onto the kitchen floor. Have had the line cleaned out over and over again. Have been buying fridges for 50 yrs. and have never had this problem. Whirlpool says call a repairman and pay to have it fixed, but it happens over and over again. Whirlpool should come up with a permanent fix and pay to have it fixed. Based on the numerous complaints of this problem, this model needs a recall now.

This product is very noisy. This product looks good, works okay, size is good but is very loud and overpriced. Probably would not buy again if I had to purchase another refrigerator.

Refrigerator model # wrs325fdam04 - Refrigerator shelves and drawers are made of flimsy material. Water dispensed is never cold enough - almost at room temperature. Every six months one has to change the water filter cartridge, Filter1 w10295370a, which costs at least $49.99. Cheaper versions that cost 50-60% less, I have purchased and returned 2 different brands, are not compatible with this refrigerator. I do not recommend this refrigerator.

I have owned a French-door Whirlpool/Kenmore refrigerator for less than 3 years & all the lights start flashing fast when you open the doors. Anyone that knows anything about seizures know this can set one off. Turns out its a common problem with the LED lights & you have to replace circuit board at over $100.00 for the part, plus you may have to have it installed. Best to stick with a $0.99 bulb you replace every 5 years.

Purchased Whirlpool gas hot water heater from LOWES on 9/25/2016. After the installation, tried to light the pilot light for 90 minutes. Followed the recommended instructions, I could not get it to light. Called LOWES they told me to call Whirlpool. I did so, and told them I will return the heater to LOWES the next day. Whirlpool customer service very bad. Returned the heater to LOWES the next morning, went to a local plumbing shop and purchased a Rheem heater. After installation it lit very first attempt. Now three weeks later I get a letter in mail from collection agency that LOWES turned me in for stopping payment on the check I wrote them. After reading the many negative reviews and they disregard for my and my familys safety, nobody should purchase a Whirlpool gas heater from LOWES.

HE washer does not clean well. I followed all instructions for detergents, settings, etc and it has not improved. Leaves white marks on dark clothing. Does not use enough water. Contacted Whirlpool and they were not helpful. I would not buy this product again!

Within 5 months my 850$ dishwasher broke. 2 months to repair and 15 plus hours on the phone. Warranty is cryptic. You must allow them 30 business days from when they order parts. Buy Bosch, wish I did!

For the last month, in order to wash dishes, we have to start the dishwasher normally. The water will begin to fill the tub and then stop and all the display lights go out. We push the cancel/drain button and the dishwasher empties the water in the tub. We again, push the desired wash cycle button just like the first time and the dishes wash normally. We have purchased at least two of this same type dishwasher with the utensil holder in the door from Whirlpool in the past, with great satisfaction.

My mother and grandmother swore by Whirlpool washers. They were the best. So, naturally I never wanted any other brand - then came the digital machines. End of an era. My experience with my 1 year old digital machine has been very frustrating. I do not like it. I prefer the old system.

The most horrible stove I’ve ever owned. The self cleaning oven never worked, the oven whistles while warming, the alert stops working after a few times, there is a razor sharp hidden vent under the dash of stove on which I cut my hand when cleaning. Customer service is nonexistent. Never never never buy Whirlpool.

I have had this Whirlpool Cabrio washer for 4 years. I had to rebuild the drive unit once and now the control board is bad. If I didnt do my own repairs I would have spent well over the cost of the washer in the 4 years I have owned it. This is the worst washer on the market. I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio washer/dryer set 2 1/2 years ago (Jan. 2009). I have 4 kids and do lots of laundry. This is THE WORST appliance, namely washer, I have ever owned! I so wish I had researched this product more. I ditto everything that has been said about this washer. It tore up so many items of clothing, I lost count and does a horrible job of getting stains out. I contacted Whirlpool on several occasions only to be told that they would send a technician out to see if there was something wrong. The technician would report that the washer was working properly and Whirlpool would then tell me, sorry, we cant do anything about it. I asked them if a washer was supposed to clean your clothes and unravel them? Yes, it is supposed to clean them. Well, its not doing that. No, it is not supposed to unravel and destroy them but well, it IS doing that! Therefore, the washer is not working properly. Just because a technician can not physically find something wrong with it, doesnt mean it is a poor functioning washer. This company should better learn very soon that you must stand behind the QUALITY of your products or you will soon be out of business. I will never purchase Whirlpool products ever again nor would I recommend it to anyone!

Have used washer since 2005. Still runs today. Minor repairs done. Is reliable brand. Whirlpool gold model washer purchased at navy exchange. Will buy another whirlpool again. Have bought other brands which lasted 7yrs and then needed replacing. This whirlpool is the best. Lasted 15 yrs and still working fine doing 5 loads a week.

Spent the extra money to have a beautiful, slide-in oven. The AquaLift technology just seemed like another plus. After the turkey cooked, just seemed like another oven to clean. We bought our Terrorpool Whirlpool refrigerator in 2006. We have had problems with the ice dispenser, bad motor replacement, and now we have cracks all down the right inside wall. I had bought an extended warranty of four years at the time of purchase which covered the cost of the previous problems. But it has now expired, and I was told it would be my expense for repair. What happened to reliable appliances that our parents and grandparents had? What happened to the name Whirlpool? Greetings: I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator on July 3, 2014. And the supports for the door to open and closed have grinded and worn out - not allowing the door to close properly, requiring being lifted up, and pushed close as much as possible. Not the quality I expected with the purchase of a Whirlpool product. I want this door repaired or replaced at the expense of Whirlpool. Having paid over $600.00 for the product, I didnt expect no problems like this at all, poor design. The weight of the door is too heavy to support a hinge mount in plastic, its ridiculous. Now cooling is being wasted, runs constantly, and just not the quality I expected nor received.

I bought a model (W10632082 A) dishwasher, and the top shelf is very flimsy, the dishes and glasses do not get clean, even after I fully removing any food soil from them. The dryer does not work. The dishes come out wet and with water spots. It is very noisy, and the water cycles are programmed to run upwards to three hours!!! The basket for the silverware is designed to be hung on the door, this basket falls off easy, and you cant use the left side because the normal size of the spoons or forks, get in the way of the dish washing soap reservoir, making it difficult to close the door. Do not buy this product. Horrible!!!

I purchased a new Whirlpool range and had it fitted for propane. I used the stove daily and within two weeks, the temperature started fluctuated constantly. Several things I tried to cook ended up burned. I called Whirlpool to ask them for a possible solution. They wanted to send a repair person. I live on an island and knew it would take forever to get someone here. My appliance person said it could be only two things - the temperature probe or the computer board. I purchased both things and had them shipped to my address at my expense. It cost $257.00 to get the items. My appliance man on the island installed the two new items. I was hoping that would fix the problem. I am sad to say it did not! The oven still fluctuates wildly. I set the temp for 350 degrees and it shoots up to 450 degrees. I turn the temp down to 325 and it settles in at 350 for a period of time. Then, without any warning, it will shoot back up to 500 degrees. I have to open the door and let the temp back down to 350. This is how I have to bake and cook with this disaster. Wish I never purchased a Whirlpool appliance!

I bought a new computerized Whirlpool Cabrio top-loading washer and matching dryer 3 years ago. Bearings wore out under warranty, it was repaired. Just outside warranty, washer has broken down twice more. I contacted Whirlpool and received a high level of indifference to my concerns that they manufacture junk, and are not willing to stand behind it. Clearly, this is a faulty issue with the machine and should be repaired then and now at their cost. Do not buy Whirlpool products people.

The Worst experience with Gold Series Mod WRF 757SDEM01. Purchased from Best Buy June 2016. $2215.00. Within 6 months The interior light began going dark within 6 months. Our very reputable warranty repair service ordered a part that did not repair it. Was only temporary. They did figure out that the circuit board was bad and promptly took care of our problem. Next I kept noticing water appearing on our wood flooring. Let it go because it only appeared sporadically. Called Whirlpool only to find out they switched to a warranty repair service that was inept and inexperienced. Said he could fix it. Blamed it on a freeze-over so I let floor dry up then re-started and refilled. Thought he did fix it cause it made sense. When reassembling he broke to upper freezer try glide. Then 3-4 weeks later I notice one morning water again on my wood floor. The dripping had been running beneath the wood slats and had seeped up through the joints. Now the flooring wood has swollen and will need to be replaced because of this. This is the second time I had to unload all food and store at neighbors and give away. Extremely poor engineering designs as each time the ice dispenser is used, nothing prevents ice from flying out onto the floor ever since day one. Same with water. The release does not shut down to prevent water or ice from pouring out onto the floor when removing any size cup. The refridge doors must both be opened to use the lower level drawer. Loses much cooling with having to always open both. Next, weve come home MANY times with the left refridge door partially open because of the difficulty of the mechanism to secure at closing. This happens to us 5 times a week for three years-honestly!. This was the only refridge we could find that would fit our opening in a 20-yr-old home. The fridge is so heavy one man cant pull it out of its opening. Only 2 very small wheels in front and skids in rear stick due to weight. Weve confirmed this is not a spigot leak from the ice maker. Finally (but probably not) the ice container allow much air in because of having to open the left door that your ice is always melted together plus it too small for a family of two and ice must be purchased when entertaining. And to top it off, the human that took the warranty call this time is foreign and my wife could not get them to get our last name spelled correctly nor the phone number correct after constantly repeating it. This unit and model is an absolute lemon. Im going out today to find another unnecessary $2500.00 to buy another.

Microwave did not last one year and magnetometer blew up. Customer service would not honor request to help with purchase. Repair call was more than a new microwave. In essence, I would not purchase this manufacturers appliances.

In September 2011, we purchased a Cabrio Washer and Dryer. Both appliances are extremely inferior. My first complaint to Whirlpool was in reference to the dryer. It kept overheating to the point that you couldnt even touch the clothes. In doing research I found this was a common problem and in some cases, even caused fires. After finding this out and contacting Whirlpool to complain and see if there were any recalls, they indicated they knew nothing about the problem and recalls would have to come from their legal department. I asked to speak with someone in that department and was told that was not possible. We threw the machine away and purchased a new no frills dryer. Now the washer has totally died. It would make noises, lockup, not spin, not clean, etc. Basically all the complaints other consumers have listed. It is now on the curb and I will again have a purchase a new washer. The Whirlpool refrigerator I bought at the same time is a whole other story. Please do not buy Whirlpool. When contacted they show no empathy or concern about the inferiority of their products. There are only the 2 of us now and we do laundry one time a week. It amazes me how much money I am out between the initial purchases, repairs, and replacements. My daughter has also had the bad luck of purchasing Whirlpool appliances and is now experiencing the same problems. Get the word out to all of your friends to NEVER purchase Whirlpool. They are apparently only concerned with their profits and not making good products or caring about their consumers problems. I made a very expensive mistake and will never purchase their products again. I have made them aware that I would be placing my review on your website along with the other 1,690 complaints. I have all my documentation re purchases, repairs, replacements and emails sent to Whirlpool. Unfortunately I cannot document all the calls made to this company. I replace it with another Whirlpool ice maker and that one stops and leaks water from the dispenser all over my floor. Im on my 3rd ice maker and its not working! I have no warranty but still...a refrigerator should last longer than this at these prices. Im trying to research problems with this refrigerator and it looks like now the refrigerator model has been discontinued! Cant find anything on it. I paid close to $1,800.00 and it lasted 1 year 1/2? Its turning into a money pit. My question is... after looking at all of the complaints concerning ice makers and water leaks on Whirlpool refrigerators... why hasnt Whirlpool addressed this problem with a recall?? Obviously, these ice makers are faulty even the ones you replace them with. The repairman told me there are no warranties and they would not take returns on them. Whirlpool knows there is a problem and doesnt address it. Consumers should be protected from businesses that know of problems and refuse to take care of them with customers. They are still selling faulty Whirlpool ice makers??? I paid extra to have a working ice maker and expected it to last more than a year and half for the price of this French Door, bottom freezer, refrigerator did. The doors look terrible as they do not clean nicely and leave streaks. From the looks of some of these complaints, this may only be a beginning of problems with this appliance. My house was built in 2004, therefore the Whirlpool water heater was installed in June 2004. The water heater broke down (It flooded my garage) in 2007. I didnt have to pay for the water heater at Lowes (It was under Warranty), but I had to pay for the delivery and labor. Now, I had to call customer service, because the Whirlpool water heater installed in 2007 has problems too. The pilot light would not stay lit. I have to pay a certified technician $180, just to come to my house to fix this problem, when this is a recurring problem, with this Whirlpool water heater that was purchased at Lowes. (The heater has a six-year warranty. Not sure what this means if the product is defective to begin with). Im very disappointed with this product. It has too many problems, and I have to pay for a defective product. I would stay away from Whirlpool if I could.

Efficient. I like the look and the controls. I trust the Whirlpool brand, but have purchased other brands. This is probably the best dishwasher I have owned. My only regret is that it is louder than expected.

Defective Product: I had to replace the fan motor on my refrigerator, which is barely 3 years old. I contacted the company and they told me it was out of warranty. I asked the repair person if he see this problem a lot and he said no. I have had other Whirlpool products which lasted for decades.

Whirlpool gas range convection oven - I have only had this range for 2 weeks. Manual is sketchy to say the least. Purchased from LOWES - salesman were not well-informed. I have had to do a chat to find out information. Range looks great but performs poorly. Takes a while to heat anything even on high and on large burners. Grates are too heavy. I am sorry I did not see the editor review before I purchased. I have not used the convection so I cannot speak to this but my choices were limited when I purchased and I did not want a convection oven and other ranges would not purposeful for my use.

The repair technician just left telling us that our Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine is fine. It is a little over a year old, makes LOUD noises as it runs, doesnt get the clothes clean and often doesnt even get them wet. The clothing sits above the water and comes out with pet hair, soap and dry spots. We use it the way the manual directs but it seems to be a totally defective machine. We sure wouldnt sell it to anyone nor give it away to some poor unsuspecting soul. Guess it needs to go to the dump. Shame on you Whirlpool for taking advantage of so many of us.

The reason for the call was to find out how to file a claim after replacing the ice maker and paying for it the 3rd time, they were very argumentative and would not listen to me about the design flaw in the wire harness that burns up the motor for the ice maker. I found out about the design flaw from talking to the repairman that replace the ice maker who works for Dick Kearsley Clearfield UT. He told me that Whirlpool knows about the problem for the 22 cubic foot and 25 cubic foot refrigerator and that is why they have 2 different new wire harnesses in the box for replacement of the old wiring harness.

Bought a new Cabrio, worked ok but in less than 2 yrs the bearing is bad. It will cost almost as much to repair as a new washer. Will never buy a Whirlpool product again. Would give negative rate!

Yesterday, my DC premier refrigerator purchased on 22.12.2011 suddenly stopped working for a long time, and the inside light automatically went off. All food, vegetables, and others are damaged and rotten. Now we are scared to keep anything inside this for huge loss and health problem. Kindly rectify this, and do the needful at the earliest.

Purchased from Home Depot and self-installed. That part was not too big a deal but after installing this stove we started a journey of irritation, aggravation and general dissatisfaction. This stove has the standard layout for burners that seem to be common to most low-end stoves. Two huge burners in the front, a simmer burner at the right rear and a general purpose burner at the left rear. Thats all wrong for me and our set up. I want a large burner at the left rear and general purpose every place else. Can you alter the standard configuration? NO! Not without some major alterations to the stove top.Next are the grills or cast cooktops (2 each). They are a bit cumbersome when cleaning the stove but doable. The real problem with the grills are Whirlpool decided to save money by skimping on this feature. The grills are not a stable cooking platform for smaller pans and it turns out Whirlpool recommends square pans for this stove. SAY WHAT? I have pans and skillets from my grandparents and they are ALL round. Thats how that stuff is made. ROUND! The grills design is unstable for any round pot, pan or skillet, if its diameter, is 6 or less. Kiss that excellent saucepan goodbye if you have this stove. My current solution is a piece of light expanded steel over the burner areas.Keeping in mind we use Propane as our heating gas. The adjustment of the flame temp on the four burners is non-existent. They all are either on high, medium or low. There seems to be no fine tuning with these burners. At the end of the day go look for something that is NOT a Whirlpool, LP gas range Model #: WFG515S0EW. You will be better served and less irritable with almost anything else. Even a campfire in the yard is a better choice.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW5000DW - I have owned at least two other washers in my life, and I just recently bought a new washer/dryer set at HHgregg. Was told they are doing away with agitator washing machines in the very near future so this is my first experience with a top load agitator-less washer. This thing is AWFUL!! First of all it took a minute to get used to the weird popping, grinding noises it makes while going through the cycle (which I might add seems to take FOREVER). The other thing I hate about it is there is no way to add the fabric softener at the start of the wash in this model unless you have a downy ball of which I have yet to find at my local dollar store or even the KROGER??? So I run back and forth trying to catch the rinse cycle to STOP the machine (wait I might add) and then add the FS manually.BUT THE ABSOLUTE WORSE THING is - my clothes come out with SPOTS that look like lint all over them, and they wont wipe off unless you have a wet rag to do it with!! AND YES - I have cleaned this washer TWICE already since January with the very expensive AFFRESH. I wear scrubs and they are solid colors, so it really shows up and I have to wipe off every pair EVERY day before I put them on then roll a lint brush down them. WHO HAS TIME FOR THIS??? This is on my SOLID colors which is easy to see, I can only imagine the GUNK that is on the rest of my laundry!!! I dont feel like my laundry is getting clean at all!! I am divorced and money is tight - I paid around $500 buck for this piece of crap. I am already seriously thinking of getting me another one - the OLD tried and true kind with an AGITATOR! And yes I am ANGRY. Can you tell??

When we remodeled our kitchen after checking a lot of brands of oven we decided to buy the Whirlpool Self Cleaning stove/oven. Loved the look of it. When trying to clean the oven I followed the directions just as its said in the manual. After the cleaning was complete it didnt even look like it clean the oven. I called customer service and they told me I had to clean the oven with a little elbow grease before I put the self cleaning on? Really? I have to clean the self cleaning oven by hand beforehand? Why did I purchase a self cleaning oven then? And because it was just 2 weeks out of warranty they would not help at the 800 number. NEVER NEVER again will I ever purchase Whirlpool! How they treat their customers is disgusting!

We have a Whirlpool French door refrigerator with freezer drawer in bottom that is 2 years old. It makes a loud buzzing noise and freezes up in back of the freezer, as in a defrost problem. We have had THREE repairmen here to fix the problem, and after $650 in parts and labor, the same problem exists. Finally we were told that this $170 beautiful Whirlpool refrigerator is deemed repairable and is junk. Whirlpool will not remedy the problem and three service techs cannot seem to repair it. I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product... EVER!

After one of the door shelves in our new refrigerator cracked, I ordered a new shelf from our local agent Neuman Appliance repair in Ashmore, in July of this year (2014). I was told that it would take a while as Whirlpool were notorious for poor service; however, it is now the middle of September, and we are still waiting!When we ordered a new part for our dishwasher from Fisher and Paykel, we received the part in just 3 days. I mention this to give an idea of what good service should be.

We purchased a brand new Whirlpool refrigerator in December 2012. It is model # WRF989BAM, a French door style with the freezer in the bottom. We have had problems with this refrigerator since a few days after it arrived. The first occurrence was when we arrived home one evening to find water all over the floor, and food thawing out inside the freezer. Everything had to be thrown out or placed in a different refrigerator. I have no idea what that repairman did, but luckily that issue hasnt happened since. Something about the temperature controls. We have also had frost on the back inside panel, and it leaks inside the refrigerator constantly, so bad that we have to keep a large bowl inside to collect the water, and it has to be emptied two or three times a day. We have had two repairmen out to look at that. The first one installed a new filter, which seemed to fix the problem...for about a month until it started leaking again. They tell us these filters must be replaced every 3-6 months...interesting as it says on the refrigerator every 6 months. Regardless, we cant get a filter, or any other parts that the repairmen think it might need because parts take months to arrive. We bought this refrigerator under the recommendation of a technician who came out to repair the refrigerator we were replacing. Buy American he said. They last longer and the parts are easy to get. What a joke!

We purchased a Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator WRF989SDAHOO less than two years ago. The refrigerator runs constantly and has gotten louder by the day. It is so loud you can hear it when you are in another room. The temperature on the refrigerator is too cold and freezes fruit when I put it in. I contact Whirlpool online and they said it seems fine to them and also there is no temperature control that I can change myself. I am afraid I am going to come home one day to a dead refrigerator and spoiled food. I was not happy with their response and I WOULD NOT PURCHASE this again. The other problem is, we bought as a set, matching stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. So if I have to get a new fridge it wont match.

I purchased the model WDF530PAYM0 serial: F14106104 dishwasher. The foremost reason I purchased this was it had nylon racks. I have discovered that the racks are rusting! It is rusting on the ends where nothing can touch it. I am very disappointed that it is advertised having nylon racks and now it is rusting and deteriorating. This dishwasher states racks-nylon, not racks-nylon coated. I just took some pictures of the racks. I decided to look underneath the top rack where the upper spray arm is located. Now I am plain sick! Most of the underneath is rusting. This dishwasher was purchased and installed 2 years ago. I paid $600 and you would assume that something mechanical would quit after years of use on an average of 1 to 2 times per weeks. Not this one...rusting racks and hard telling what damage the rust flaking off during running is causing to the mechanical components. Lesson learned: Their definition of nylon and nylon coated has no difference.....I very much disagree!

Whirlpool fridge still freezes water in the bottom of freezer... after five service attempts. We purchased a five-year warranty and so far, they claim that as long as the warranty is good, they will continue to warranty it. We now have three and a half years left. We have currently owned our refrigerator for just over a year (approx. 18 months). During this time, it has had the same warranty repair issue that has been serviced five times so far. We now have an appointment for a sixth time since RC Willey does not want to fix a lemon the right way. The first three warranty repairs were under the manufacturers warranty. We are now under a warranty (extended) that was purchased from the place we bought the fridge from, RC Willey.I want my money back on the whole deal. I was going to be civilized about it because I thought they were common sense decent place to buy from. I thought they would, through common sense, realize that this unit is a lemon and allow credit towards another fridge. In just the past two years, we have bought from RC Willey over $10,000 worth of flooring, appliances, etc. and thats not counting previous years.

I purchased a GW399LXUS Whirlpool Gas Range. This is the slide in kind. I paid 1658.00 dollars for this stove, because it was a gas convection oven. We purchased it on 7/21/09. Just yesterday, the keypad numbers stopped working. I cannot even set a temperature for the oven. So now, I can only use the burners. I called Whirlpool today. They told me that my stove does not have any recalls so there is nothing they can do about it. I spoke with Jessica in Michigan. I told her how dissatisfied I was that the stove is only 2 years old and the most important part (the buttons) stopped working and they only cover this for one year. She told me that I have to remember that man made things are made to stop working at some time. I told her they should work for longer than 2 years. I remember way back when my parents bought a stove or fridge and they lasted for 15 to 20 years before breaking or stopping to work.I am a long time Whirlpool customer and always had good luck with their products. But I really feel that they should fix this problem. I could understand if the stove was 8 or 10 years old and something broke after using it, but not after 2 years. I will definitely tell everyone I know to not buy Whirlpool or Maytag since they are one in the same. I probably will not buy Whirlpool again and will have to buy something from Japan since it will last longer. So much for buying American made junk!

We purchased the Induction Range Whirlpool Model WF1910H0AS0 almost 2 years ago and bought the extended warranty that was offered by A.J. Madison. We started having problems about 8 months after the purchase. We have had technicians out numerous times and they couldnt solve the problem of the cooktop part of the range locking and beeping when we use the oven. I have made several calls to Whirlpool and basically was told too bad. I see that there have been several complaints with the product and they have stopped making it. On one repair visit we were told that they were replacing a particular part because they were having so many problems with the heat blocker that goes under the glass top that they made it thicker and were hoping that this would solve the problem. It did not.The thing that really has sent me over the edge is that last night I was just boiling water and I heard a pop that came along with a smell (electrical burning smell) and the range blew a fuse and now the cooktop part just shows the deadly error F47. I am so disappointed in Whirlpool and their customer service and too bad attitude. You would think when you are spend almost $1800 for a range that it would not have problems so quickly and pretty much render useless in less than 2 years. Also shame on A.J. Madison for selling extended warranties through a company that has such a bad ratings with the Better Business Bureau. The only reason I gave 1 star is because you cant have no star.

Although we live in Canada, we purchased our slide-in oven at Sears Roebuck in Buffalo, NY only because of the size availability only in the US (actually, the unit was manufactured in Canada as we found out later!). Obviously, this created another problem since the unit was not underwritten by Canadian Electric codes, Sears Canada repair would not touch it! Once installed, it worked great until the first problem with the oven quitting after self-cleaning. It is the second time in 3 years that both the thermostat and the sensor went in this RBS245 slide-in oven. Once the self-clean cycle completes (quite smelly!) and cools, the oven does not operate rendering the oven useless. First time, in 2009, Sears repair only suggested (since they would not do repair on it for reasons stated above) which parts could be faulty: Timer, sensor, thermostat or elements. It was thought to be the electronic timer unit, which was replaced at a $215 (needlessly) because that was OK. Both thermostat and sensor cost $150. Even the elements were replaced, $52. The second time, just a week ago, exactly the same happened. I replaced the 2 items: Sensor and thermostat at a cost of $154 and the oven worked fine again. I called both Whirlpool US and Canada, but no one could/would give any answers why this happens.So far, it cost $600 in parts to repair! This is nonsense from a company that has had good reputation and record. Obviously, that is changing! If Whirlpool cannot engineer a product that works as they say it does, they should close the shop! Reading here, there are others who complained with the same problem. It is time for Whirlpool to come clean!

This machine does not clean the clothes well, keeps an odor even after using Clorox (probably due to water inside that never leaves), and does not spin the clothes well. Every washing is longer than traditional washers and then I must use the spin-only cycle twice (adding another 30 minutes). I must also shake the inside of the tub to get the spin to work at all. The tech came out and re-calibrated, but to no advantage. Terrible machine and should be, as one viewer said, under recall, in my opinion. NOT WORTH THE MONEY -- and I am very disappointed in Whirlpool.

Refrigerator stopped cooling... Paid $200 to have it diagnosed... Cost more than a new refrigerator to get fixed...$14,000. Refrigerator was 7 years old, energy star. How can it be energy efficient if it was made to last only seven years? How much energy is wasted making new ones to replace the broken ones, that cost too much to fix. Energy star. What a scam.

The inside glass of the oven door shattered. I have not used the oven for months. Only the the top cooking burners have been used. Its a mystery to me!! I have read complaints where the glass shattered while the oven was in use or being cleaned, but have found none where this happened to a cold oven. The large front burner is too hot. Even on the lowest setting everything burns. You cannot simmer, only boil. The control knobs have (in my opinion) no safety mechanism. I thought that the control knobs on stoves needed to be child proofed, hard for a child to turn on. My last stove you had to push down quite hard then turn to the setting. Not this stove. I have to be so careful when Im cleaning the area around the knobs. The slightest pressure and the knob turns. When I first purchased the stove while cleaning it, I unknowingly turned the knob and the kitchen filled with gas before I realized what had happened. I called Whirlpool thinking something was broken. They sent out a repairman. Nothing was broken. That is the way it is made. Customer Service said they had had no other complaints about the knobs. I find that hard to believe. My toddler grandchild can turn on the stove with ease. Im sure other concerned parents etc. have had this complaint. To sum it up... I will probably never purchase a Whirlpool product again.

Our Whirlpool Duet Washer pair is 2.5 yrs old. The washer didnt work at first, but a repairman found the problem and fixed it right up. They have not broken. The dryer has been fine and we have had them stacked for most of the time without any issues. My problem sounds minor compared to those others listed here, but this thing is ruining all our white or light colored clothes. They go in white, and come out covered with splotchy, dirty looking spots literally all over them! They werent that kind of dirty when they went in. It’s the oddest thing, like it makes dirt. Reading some of these concerns makes me wonder if it has a mold problem inside somewhere, and that is what is ruining our clothes. Tax return is coming and it is going. End of story.

Agree with some of the other reviews. Product misrepresented to clean oven effectively and does not work at all. You have to do all the work yourself because it is so useless. Oven also does not cook evenly. Front and back of oven cook at different rates. This oven should be recalled and all money refunded to purchaser!

My oven had been temperamental since day one, then got worse over time. I do not use my oven that much so was not really worried or alarmed until a tray of cookies caught fire. It was set at 350 and jumped to 525 on its own. (I bought an oven thermometer to monitor) Minor burn taking tray out but all okay :-). Contacted Lowe’s where we bought it and they would do nothing (note: at this point the oven is 15-months old and out of warranty). Advised me to contact Whirlpool. Did that - they sent out a repair service and they determined it was the temp. sensor. It is now April 2014 and I am still waiting for the part (this all started Sept 2013). I have since talked and wrote to Whirlpool for this to be resolved and also asked that the range be recalled due to fire hazard at the least! When I spoke to them in December, they said they could give me ‘50% off the part’. Remember I am still waiting for that part, lol! After writing corp h/q, they said “Sorry, since we cant get the part why not have someone come in and take the old part out and have it rebuilt.” I ask you Whirlpool w/q would you be happy with that??? We purchased this microwave from Lowes. It already had a cracked handle but I wanted to change my appliances to Stainless and it was very cheap. I could just order a new handle and we would still be saving money. I received the new handle and it was very difficult to install, but I did it. Not even 2 months later, the same thing happened to this handle. We thought Lowes had somehow broken the original handle, but after reading all the other complaints, I realized that its a manufacturer problem. Last night, I was cooking on the stove and the plastic from the handle fell into the pot. I had to throw the whole pot of very expensive, and time consuming meal away for fear of eating the plastic.

Horrible. We purchased the set In October 2010. It worked great for a little over a year. (Go figure, just out of the manufacturers warranty.) The washer stopped spinning out water. Every other cycle completes successfully. The diagnostic cycle is also successful but once there is clothes in the machine, it wont spin. I called customer service and was told that a one year warranty was $230 and service is $130 plus parts. After reading another horror story, it seems that this venture is going to cost us around $450 for a new circuit board. Where is that class action suit at again?

This Whirlpool side by side 2 door Refrigerator/Freezer stopped working yesterday. It was manufactured in 04/2013, and I purchased it from Lowes on 5/26/2013. My invoice number is **. The last 2 refrigerators I have owned worked for well over 20 years each. Actually, longer, but I moved away from one of them. It is unbelievable to me that after 3 years, and 3 months, this unit has just stopped working. Of course, it is coming at a horrible time. In addition, it is summer time in Southern California, so the heat is high, and the desire for cold drinks and foods is also. It had been working well, until yesterday. Today, I am experiencing the foods become warmer and warmer. I will not be purchasing another Whirlpool Product of any kind.

I purchased a Whirlpool fridge (model GX2SHBXVQOO) on November 27, 2010 and it leaks water on my floor. I have to keep a towel there or it runs all over. I also purchased a Whirlpool range (model YGFE461LVQ) and the convection fan went on it a month after we bought it. The manufactures warranty does not allow repair people to travel any further than 100 km to repair, something that we had to take the stove in to be repaired. We got the stove back the same day and brought it home. Low and behold, after a short period of time it started to rattle again and got steadily worse. Also, now my one burner on high does not stay on high; it keeps going out then coming back on.I have called the place we purchased these pieces of junk from and they said there is nothing they can do. I also sent e-mails to Whirlpool and they said they will look into it and get back to me. That was months ago. I called Whirlpool and was basically told that there was nothing they can do, that I was to call the repairman. Never, never, ever buy a Whirlpool product.

This machine, like all other water sensor machines, will not let you wash a few items that are lightweight without filling the whole machine up almost all the way. The reason being is that if the items are light, they will float in the water above the water level and the sensor thinks it needs to put more water in and even with putting something in to weigh it down like a wet towel doesnt always work, nor should you have to do this. You will waste more water in the long run if you only have a few items to wash, ie baby clothes, underwear, rags, etc. I am so disappointed that I had no other choice but to get this machine.

We purchased this combo from Lowes; checked my account and saw we were double charged! Got the charge adjusted; jeez. Bought this size to do comforters and large loads, but nothing large gets completely wet. Our clothes started to mildew as Affresh does not work. Im allergic to mildew and got headaches. The mechanic said this mildew is because all the action is under the basin and you dont want to see how black it is under there. It began to leak as buildup went into the bleach dispenser, and it turned black.He said to run a gallon of white vinegar in the clean cycle once a month, and this did work. I did a clean out with Castile peppermint soap, several white vinegar treatments, and got rid of the mildew and the (clog related) leak. I now use Mollys Suds powder. I was shocked to read on the Mollys site that mfg does not have to list all the terrible ingredients in commercial detergent, which is not helping you or the machine.

I have hated this Cabrio washer and dryer set since the day they were delivered brand new by Best Buy a couple of years ago. The washer does not clean well, often does not spin dry, and leaves some clothes dry after a full wash cycle!!! I have to wash small loads on the deep water cycle to even have a chance at cleaning the clothes. The clothes are so dreadfully compacted and tangled that it takes great effort to birth them out of the washer, unfurl them, shake them, and put them into the next torture machine- the dryer. It is as if Whirlpool intended to build a machine to twist clothing so tight that it requires a bodybuilder to untangle the clothing. Then the items are so incredibly crumpled that ironing has found its way back into my already busy life. Ironing is a massive challenge to the degree of wrinkles in the clothing. The slanted tops are icing on the cake. Cant even pull the clothes out of the dryer to the top of it because they slide right off. Cool.

I purchased this machine from Sears on 04/23/2016 and have had nothing but problems and issues with it. It is loud and makes different sounds every time I use it. It has overfilled and underfilled with water a few times, the machine shuts down while washing and I have had to restart the machine. Half the time the clothes come out covered in soap and I have to put them through another rinse cycle. My bedding always has to either go through a second rinse cycle due to being covered in soap or I have to rewash it because it is all packaged together in the fitted sheet and never got washed. During the spin cycle it sounds like it is getting ready launch into outer space and it vibrates excessively. On numerous occasions I have had to untie my clothes as they are tied in knots. There have been times that I had to put the clothes through another spin cycle because the clothes contained too much water. The final straw was last week (03/27/2019). I washed my sheets and they came out bundled up in the fitted sheet full of soap stains and I had to rewash them. When the sheets were done I put the comforter in the wash and started to clean the house. When I went into the laundry room the washer was not running but the wash light was on so I opened the lid and felt the comforter and found it to be dry. I closed the lid and pushed the start button. After a few seconds the washer shifted to rinse without even washing the comforter. When the washer stopped running and the ready light came on I removed the comforter, unplugged the machine, shut off the water, disconnected the water hoses, placed the machine on a dolly and took it to my scrap pile. I could not find any Whirlpool washers with any good reviews so I purchased a Speed Queen with a 5 year parts and labor warranty.

I bought a Whirlpool duet washer and dryer. These appliances are still under one-year warrantee. My washing machine was broken for four weeks, and they have been unable to receive all of the parts needed to repair it. They have made three appointments to fix the machine, telling me that they have the parts and only to cancel the appointment the night before. I have tried to get Pacific Sales to exchange the broken machine, but they will not do that or compensate in any way. This is a top of the line model; I would have been better off with a low-priced model, and I might actually have a machine that worked. Whirlpool supposedly had the parts on back order, which is not what Whirlpool informed me when I was able to reach them.

It was about 6 years after purchase that the ice maker completely quit making ice. To change the filter you have to get down on your hands and knees to do so. If youre elderly, this can cause a problem. Overall, it was a good refrigerator.

I purchased my water heater from Lowes about 11 months ago. The heater worked just fine for about 3-4 months then a popping noise started like a drum. I called Whirlpool and got this song and dance story with several email telling what is needed to do. Whirlpool said it was a water knock and I needed to install some devices on my water line or a tanks which cost a few hundred dollars. I called the plumber and he replace the main control valve. Same problem again so I called several other times and a plumber came and said it was my water pressure in which his gauge was incorrect. I went Lowe’s to complain and they said they would check into the situation and call me. It’s been several days and no results. Still the same problem. The Heater is a piece of trash and would not suggest anyone purchase one. It a total piece of trash and will replace with a premier heater very soon. Requesting Lowe’s replace or will take to Small Claims Court along with reviews pointed here. By the way, they want $450 to install the items on my water line - almost half the price I paid for the heater.
