My Whirlpool Cabrio Washer is a bucket of junk. I bought the washer in about 2008. I was smart and bought the warranty for approximately 3 years. Since I bought it, I have had them replace 3 water pumps, the tub, the computer, and it still knocks and shakes. It also leaves small frayed holes in my beach towels. This machine should be recalled. It needed a warranty from day one. Washer cost $1,000 warranty every year $130.00 per year which covered the repairs at about $900.00 for repairs. I hate it. I just hate it. I can’t stand it anymore. I need a new washer, someone has got to listen.

I bought a pair of Whirlpool front loading washing machine and dryer on May
I bought a pair of Whirlpool front loading washing machine and dryer on May 23, 2011. The Duet Steam washer model is WFW9640XW, dryer is WED9470WW. Their high retail price was $1125 each. I did not pay this for them. I thought I got a great buy at Lowes for the price I paid, plus their 4-year extended warranty. Whirlpool used to be a very high-end appliance manufacturing company. Now, all they put out the back door is junk. I would advise not to buy Whirlpool front end anything. My washing machine started making noise about 2 weeks before I reported it to both Lowes and Whirlpool. The noise sounded like bearing not being lubricated, which that is what it ended up being. The noise got so loud that even with all my very expensive electronics (my home entertainment ctr equipment) I could not hear the TV which goes through an expensive Yamaha AV Receiver and those expensive Infinity speakers 7 channel system. The main bearing for the wash drum assembly was bad. After two emails and several phone calls to both Lowes and Whirlpool, Whirlpool was going to send the so-called re-engineered drum assembly. The style I have is 3 parts; the new one according to Whirlpool is one part, but if they put the same bearing in, youre going to end up with the same problem in another year. I live in a condo of just over 920 sq. ft. so really there is no room to repair them in my home, but that is what they are going to do. I will be getting the new drum assembly delivered to my condo and have the repair company doing this dirty job in the middle of my living room.Living in a condo, I have a small utility closet next to the kitchen where the furnace, hot water tank, and washer and dryer are. The closet needs to have some areas cut out with and installed two small hinged doors on each side, so if anything ever needs to be repaired or replaced, there would be a little bit more room to move items in or out. The problem getting the washer out is getting the dryer moved so you can disconnect the electrical plug, cold water hose for the steam, plus the vent hose. First, you have to get to the water valves which are very hard to reach. Because of the way cluster housing is made, they squeeze things into very small holes like the faucets and drain hose are located. I was asked by the repair person if I could help him lift these items out of the closet. I have had 7 fusion back operations and #7 left me in constant pain that I take a narcotic drug for pain daily. So, I called Whirlpool back and said the repair people were only going to send a tech. I was told that it is a two-man job: one tech and one helper. So Lowes needs to authorize two people since Whirlpool is sending the new drum assembly for free. I wish I could have gotten a new washing machine with the so-called re-engineered drum assembly. I am still probably going to have to squeeze between the bulkhead (wall) and the washer and dryer to disconnect everything since I am a small person. If I wasnt retired, I would have bought a different brand front loading washer and dryer, probably Bosch and took the loss on these piles of Junk. I love my country and do my very best even as hard as it is in this day and age to buy US. I served my country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, just to see the civilians willfully buy Asian everything. So now, we have 4 Asian nations that own this country. I dont know why Whirlpool changed from a company that you could trust their products to a company that doesnt give a damn what they put out the back door. These companies still havent gotten the clue why folks buy goods from other countries. I think they need to open their eyes, but I guess with Whirlpool still being a company that is selling a very large number of appliances and making money off of us, suckers, they dont need to change. The only way they are going to change is if folks stop buying their junk.

Cabrio Whirlpool Washer - Bought this washer from HHGregg in Orange Park, Florida. This washing machine is horrible!! It does not fill the tub with water enough to even cover the clothes. Some of the clothes are not even wet. They just sit in dirty water, no agitation. Then it refills with water and the rinse water is dirty, there is no agitation or movement during the wash cycle. My clothes are stained and dried food and dirt are still on the clothes. My white clothes are now gray. This is the worst machine. I have tried everything. I am now hand washing the clothes and trying to add water to at least cover the clothes but the sensor just drains the extra water out. This machine is less than a year old. There should be a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool. I am not the only one; everyone that has this machine says it is a nightmare.

Our Whirlpool Cabrio Washer is barely over one year old, and its getting increasingly louder (I cant hear the TV in the other room). I researched this issue and found this is a common problem with the upper and lower bearings. Check it out on YouTube; its easy to find. Whirlpool should buy these back! Is anyone aware of a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool regarding these pieces of junk?

This is my third Whirlpool refrigerator. The first two lasted about 20 year
This is my third Whirlpool refrigerator. The first two lasted about 20 years each, and although not fancy, they were always serviceable. This one is different.Because of my kitchen cabinets, the only refrigerator with as much storage capacity (cu ft) as my old one was what seemed to be an almost identical Whirlpool, with the only exception being a slight difference in the ice maker. But this one is a disaster. The water/ice dispenser has been changed to one with one space only for your container. The water that comes out is warm, because the routing of the tube has been changed and it no longer goes through the chilled refrigerator space; the ice pours out so hard that usually half of it lands on the floor. In order to operate the dispenser using anything with less than a 4 diameter, you need two hands: One to depress the lever behind your glass and one to hold the glass farther away from the refrigerator. Failure to do that results in a wet mess. After dispensing crushed ice, it continues to send small pieces flying long after I change the switch to cubes. But that is the least inconvenience. In an apparent engineering change to meet energy efficiency, the new refrigerator recycles air from the freezer to the refrigerator compartment. That and other changes in the frost-free engineering have resulted in:Uneven cooling in the refrigerator. In fact, it froze $1800 worth of insulin pens. I was advised by the Whirlpool representative that I shouldnt have put them on the shelf where the vent from the freezer spews out freezing air. Spoiled food in the freezer. Everything in the freezer develops a thick coating of ice crystals within a short time. This dries out the meat, shrinks the popsicles, and destroys the quality of fish and fowl. At this moment, I have two pork chops that defrosted in a plastic container on my kitchen counter. I bought them fresh, and now the 10-12 oz. of pork is swimming in over 1/2 c. of water.Interior fittings are poorly made and shelves and drawers do not work easily. The allegedly stainless exterior is difficult to clean, and many reviewers have remarked that they find rust within a few months. I could go on. There is more poor engineering, and an array of noises filling the kitchen, but you get the picture. I wish I could trash this refrigerator and buy a good one, but that isnt feasible both because of budgetary and space constraints. The last service person who came out sighed and told me that the refrigerator was cold, and that meant that the unit was operating okay! I HATE this refrigerator and struggling with it from day to day. My hope is that no one will buy a Whirlpool ever again. I certainly wont.Updated on 12/05/2017: Whirlpool, faced with my wrath over a refrigerator set on LOW that froze $1800 worth of insulin, provided a replacement (25 Cu Ft side-by-side refrigerator). I have owned two previous Whirlpool refrigerators -- for 20 years each -- as well as other Whirlpool major appliances. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCE. The replacement is deficient in every design and functional aspect I can think of. Temperature is uneven in both freezer and refrigerator. Food in the freezer is coated with snow within a week and dried out and spoiled within a month. Ice comes out with such force that it ricochets out of the glass and around the floor. Water from the dispenser is warm. Leafy vegetables spoil within 2 days. Whirlpool sent technicians who informed me that the unit was working properly because it was cold. PIECE OF JUNK! DONT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY WHIRLPOOL!

After almost 5 years of satisfactory performance, our $1200 Whirlpool Duet washing machine WFW9400SU1 requires repairs costing over $1100. Similar to another complaint listed, some parts rusted out, leading to extensive damage during use, which we realized only after the spin cycle became incredibly loud. Now the entire gut of the machine (bearing, drum, arm, casing, etc.) needs to be replaced - $900 parts and $200 labor. I trust my repairman (who said theyd seen this type of problem before with Whirlpool) especially because he recommended buying a new machine instead. I called Whirlpool, and they said they could do nothing for me which made me very angry. This is a mechanical problem that could have been avoided by using proper materials. Whatever happened to the washing machines that would last 15-20 years?

This microwave usually has great reviews but I think I just got a dud. I purchased this model (WMH53520CS-0) as part of my new home build. After 9 months the door sensor broke and anytime we would go to run the microwave, it would tell you to open/close the door. Whirlpool sent out a certified factory dealer to fix the problem. They found it to be a faulty control panel and replaced it. After that was replaced, the exhaust fan broke. Whirlpool sent out that dealer again with the new part, and everything was working perfectly. Flash forward a whole 24 hours later, and the microwave would make the loudest sound ever and shut off after 3 seconds and blow the fuse. Turns out the turntable motor had broke and the NEW control panel was already faulty. The turntable motor part was on back order for a month and I am still currently waiting for it to be shipped to me while I have a microwave shut off collecting dust. As most anyone would be, I was extremely frustrated knowing that Whirlpool has spent at least 4 times more sending out certified dealers and replacing parts, than if they were to just order me a new microwave. They stood firm on their policy even if it meant a customer without a working microwave for over a month. Whirlpool did offer me a nice $75 debit card that took 4 weeks to arrive to help pay for a temporary microwave, but they would not work with me when I asked for the warranty to be extended 3 or 6 months. I wanted that peace of mind and its frustrating that for 2 of my 12 month warranty, the microwave was completely broken.Overall, its a nice microwave when its working but with all I have had to go through, I wouldnt recommend this model nor any Whirlpool appliances...

I purchased a Fridge/Freezer just over 4 years ago. It was an expensive one. The gas is gone and they cannot re-gas it. If I was told this when I was purchasing it I certainly would not have spent this money. I rang the concessional team. They would give me nothing towards a replacement as they had not one in stock, POOR Service for a big company. I am in business and this is not the way I would treat my customers. This has certainly turned me away from purchasing Whirlpool Products, despite having a industrial washing machine and Dryer. For the record, I had 2 servicemen to check it and they were most pleasant. It was beyond repair.

Some years ago I bought a whirlpool water heater from Lowes and the thermocouple went out. No big deal, so I thought. I went to Lowes, picked up a new one and tried to replace it. It wouldnt thread even though the package stated it was for my model. I went back to Lowes and they gave me another one, same problem. So I called Whirlpool, they said it was a left handed thread and they discontinued it, but they could send me a conversion kit at my cost. So at that point I was 2 wks out so I paid for the kit. I received the same thing I bought from Lowes. I was so frustrated I ripped the thing out and got a new one. That was 2 yrs ago and now I am having the same problem. I called whirlpool and they want me to pay for the replacement part. Mind you, the heater has a 6-yr warranty. I went to Lowes and they wont replace it. They sell items that they dont stand behind. I have searched many websites and am not able to find a replacement thermocouple for the stupid thing. Also, I have been told that the parts for the type of water heater that I own is no longer available. I tried to call the Whirlpool number a handful of times, but unfortunately, I was on hold the entire time and could not speak with a rep. My Whirlpool French Door refrigerator will have its TWO year old birthday on September 15, 2015.. only if it lives that long! On August 8, one month and one week short of its 2nd birthday the compressor died. Of course the manufacturers warranty expired after one year. After being a faithful Whirlpool consumer for years... I no longer have any faith. I purchased an entire kitchen suite. The side by side refrigerator Nov 2013. The first refrigerator was delivered with the side cabinet deeply dented in several areas. Another was delivered 4 weeks later. Silly me... I thought, Okay, no big deal... what could go wrong? I didnt take time off work again to receive the replacement. My son took delivery (never looked at it). I get home... the front of both doors looked like they had been kicked in all the way across! To add, the cabinet sides were textured (not smooth like what I ordered) and the door handles didnt match the other appliances. So, I called HDepot & called Whirlpool (only to be on the phone an hour each time due to high call volume. Imagine?). Then Whirlpool reps are talking to me like I am some sort of idiot... saying that the refrigerator was EXACTLY the same... not possible that the handles or sides were different!!! Because it was damaged (and I mean ridiculous! ) another 8 weeks for a replacement. Frig #3 arrives and I take time off to receive it. Ah, the right refrigerator... but again ~ handles dont match. Not POSSIBLE.. Ms. _ _ _ _... it is the exact refrigerator, those are the same handles. Hours and hours on the phone to HDepot and Whirlpool. Finally, HDepot rep has a WP rep at the store when I call, and bingo! Oh yes, there are two styles of the Exact same model. The handles are ordered... 10 weeks later I finally have matching handles! But, wait... gets better. The fridge has been loud from the start, CONSTANTLY running but, not cooling some areas and freezing in others. Then when you open the freezer it is like a burst of winter wonderland is unleashed in your face. There are sheaths of ice building up on the top of the inside door. Hmm, I think what is going on? The Whirlpool designated repair company comes out. Ah, well here is part of your problem. When the refrigerator was being put together they left a few thicknesses of blue packing tape between the door and the rubber seal in the freezer. The rep tried to fix it to no avail because the door was also warped. First they were going to replace the door. Waiting for another 10 weeks. Nobody calls, whats going on? Oh, never mind, or rather... that was never happening. I have spoken to many reps with Whirlpool, I have been polite with all. In turn, from most I get curt hard ball back. The offers to resolve this from Whirlpool have been ridiculous. I am sorry for my loyalty to Whirlpool, as it has not been reciprocated. I have had two more deliveries - both the wrong unit! I never thought there were others out there. What a mess. They should recall.

Since May 3, 2016, five servicemen have failed to repair my Whirlpool refrigerator (WRF560SEYM), which is less than 2 yrs old. One trainee from A&E Factory Service had the nerve to reinstall broken parts. I have been completely without refrigeration for the past 48 hrs only to learn that the repairman scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled because AIG warranty has not approved his visit. Further investigation reveals that the parts were never ordered, pending approval from AIG. Whirlpool cant help me because AIG has not declared the appliance unfixable. Hhgregg cannot help. I have spent countless hours on the phone on hold & wasted hundreds of dollars on spoiled food. Dont trust Whirlpool. Theyre not the company they once were. I purchased a top load Whirlpool washer from Lowes 2-8-12. It got so it wouldnt rinse. When it came to that cycle, it just skipped it and went directly to spin. I dont know how long it was doing this before I caught it. A repairman came out said I would need the equivalent of a motherboard that would cost $330.00. Needless to say, couldnt afford that amount for repair. So I purchased a very nice used Amana for $100.00. I always thought Whirlpool was a top of the line product. This has changed my mind. Purchased from Home Depot and self-installed. That part was not too big a deal but after installing this stove we started a journey of irritation, aggravation and general dissatisfaction. This stove has the standard layout for burners that seem to be common to most low-end stoves. Two huge burners in the front, a simmer burner at the right rear and a general purpose burner at the left rear. Thats all wrong for me and our set up. I want a large burner at the left rear and general purpose every place else. Can you alter the standard configuration? NO! Not without some major alterations to the stove top.Next are the grills or cast cooktops (2 each). They are a bit cumbersome when cleaning the stove but doable. The real problem with the grills are Whirlpool decided to save money by skimping on this feature. The grills are not a stable cooking platform for smaller pans and it turns out Whirlpool recommends square pans for this stove. SAY WHAT? I have pans and skillets from my grandparents and they are ALL round. Thats how that stuff is made. ROUND! The grills design is unstable for any round pot, pan or skillet, if its diameter, is 6 or less. Kiss that excellent saucepan goodbye if you have this stove. My current solution is a piece of light expanded steel over the burner areas.Keeping in mind we use Propane as our heating gas. The adjustment of the flame temp on the four burners is non-existent. They all are either on high, medium or low. There seems to be no fine tuning with these burners. At the end of the day go look for something that is NOT a Whirlpool, LP gas range Model #: WFG515S0EW. You will be better served and less irritable with almost anything else. Even a campfire in the yard is a better choice.

WOW!!! After reading all of these reviews Im wondering why I didnt see these sooner before I bought my POS Whirlpool fridge! Had our fridge a little less than 2 years and the freezer just does not keep anything cold anymore. Stopped making ice and everything in the freezer started to defrost. We noticed this one day when our ice cream was runny... Yuck! So we looked around online for troubleshooting. We took out the drawers and the back panel... There was a huge chunk of ice right before the coils. The coils themselves were not frosty and we thought that might be a problem, but we didnt know. So we thought this might be the problem. So we took a hairdryer and melted the big chunk of ice. After we did that we then noticed the coils started getting frosty again but not consistently or evenly across all of the coils. I dont know if this is good or not??? So now Im going to purchase a thermometer and see if the actual inside of the freezer is getting up to the correct temp. Very disappointed with this product as well as Whirlpools handling of the situation. I purchased this item 9/15. Its now 10/16 and the plastic that surrounds the glass on the shelves has cracked on 3 of the 4 shelves. The company will not replace because the warranty time has run out. The cost to replace and ship is around $500.00. Big disappointment.

Top loading Washing Machine Model #WTW4950XW2 - You would think that a big company like Whirlpool would make quality washers. NOT! Our top loading washer bought in late 2011 has been making loud noise during the washing cycle for the last 6 months, and last night was struggling to spin. Seriously, with just my wife and myself using the washer once a week, this washer should last over a decade! So I called Whirlpool and explained the problem... and, as expected, they cannot help me as it is over the one year warranty. NO MORE WHIRLPOOL BRANDS FOR US!

I have called Whirlpool multiple times because our washing machine model #WFW9290FW has been out of service for 5 weeks now. I have been informed that I need part #W10604640, which is on back-order and they wont give me any idea of how long it is going to take to get this part replaced. Apparently, there are 96 total people who also need this part. I find it hard to believe that a company this big would not have this part on hand and they would not have any idea how long it would take to get it replaced. I asked them to give me a new washing machine for free to replace it because of the poor service and the unreliable washing machine. They told me they could give me another washing machine at 40% off, but based on the lack of follow-up and the amount of time that has passed since my initial call, I dont want another Whirlpool product. This is the worst customer service ever.

We purchased our a model WTW7800XWO 7 years ago. Our lid kept falling down when loading and unloading. Very annoying. 3 years ago it failed to lock down which means the washer will not start. We learned to press down on the lid sides to get it to lock. Then it became loose where it connects to washer and we duct taped it to make it work. We put up for that for a year before having a repairman attach a new lid. 1 year later it did the same thing... And we put up with it hoping it wouldnt totally fail. Today it failed. Since the 1st repair cost 250.00 we decided that we will get a new washer rather than spend another 250.00. We will go with American made Speed Queen. We have had Whirlpool appliances since we were married 50 years ago.

Whirlpool Dishwasher Model WDT7820PADMO was installed last October. Small parts began detaching themselves from the first day. Then machine leaked onto floor two weeks ago and I shut it down. As it was purchased from Sears, they and Whirlpool have batted responsibility for repairs back and forth until proof of extended warranty was supplied to Whirlpool. They then scheduled a repair job for a week later with an unqualified technician, who naturally refused the job. Upon callback, I was rescheduled for a day two weeks hence. As it turned out, the repairman would not be near my home on the appointment date. Luckily, I tried to move the appointment up, as the repair service said Whirlpool did not supply proof of the extended warranty. I saved five days waiting time by rescheduling, but have to supply proof of extended warranty yet again. All this for a dishwasher that takes three hours per load, and doesnt do a particularly good job of cleaning.

Purchased Whirlpool side by side French door with bottom freeze on 2-18-13. After several repair calls it was replaced with new one on 7-09-13. Problems began almost immediately with water dripping inside door, resting of doors, and finally the freezer stopped working and the appliance would not shut off. Pm 3-14-15 a new compressor was installed. Two months later, the same issues are occurring. Freezer not working, and not shutting off. Waiting for a resolution. Whirlpool Duet 3.9 cu ft High-Efficiency WFW9451XW00 - Hear my first experience with Whirlpool. I purchased a washer machine 30 April 2014. Guess what - machine stop working suddenly on July 30th, just about three months later. I had a lot of guest from overseas. While they visit me, I did not have my washer machine. How embarrassing. It was big mistake to buy Whirlpool. It is all made plastic inside and they uses cheap Chinese material. Anyway, technician came house to check what the problem was... all control system was burned. He ordered almost 10 parts from Whirlpool on 04 August. Whirlpool scheduled delivery for 20 of August. I called them for them to send the parts faster so my guests could wash their clothes. They send them little faster for August 16. After a day, technician was in the house again. I waited about 3 hours for him to fix my machine. He was really nice guy. He put install all new parts. Just in front of me, new parts broke after 5 minute. Whirlpool still did not contact me about their decision. Today is August 26th... I called them 5 time already - Nobody give me useful info. NO Whirlpool, guys - bad service.

I had this washer (WTW7990XGO) 5 years and finally had to replace it. It started with the touchscreen. No matter how often it was calibrated it was very frustrating to get it to respond. It would start dinging and going thru all the cycles at random times. Then there was the error code for the door lock. The door lock wasnt the problem, the surround was slightly warped and the door wasnt catching. Warped Im sure from having to literally climb into the machine to retrieve the clothes! Then a few months later it was another error code - the machine wasnt draining fast enough. It didnt drain at all. We had to use a water hose to drain it. After the second time with that, I went and bought a new washer - different brand, dials - no touch screen, and it has an agitator. Unfortunately, I ran into other customers in the appliance department who were having the same issues from 2 other brands of electronic washers. We all went back to as old school as was available.

I bought a front loading Whirlpool washer a few years ago after having my old top loading Kenmore for 25 years. It seemed okay, but I did always have to leave the front door open and it always smelled musty, which was of some concern. My clothes never smell totally fresh. The biggest current problem is that several months ago it started with a failure code, alternately would stop without draining, wouldnt fill, or wouldnt drain, and ultimately ended up flooding my basement. So we called for service and they replaced a sensor and said these machines seem to have a lot of service issues with sensors blowing and motors dying. So I paid them that time. Now its a month or two later, failure code again, calling for service one more time. But if it costs too much I will join the legions of dissatisfied Whirlpool customers and will switch to an upright competitors brand.

After 32 years of marriage and nothing but Whirlpool (because my mother swore by Whirlpool), that is all we have used. I am so disappointed in the Cabrio washer/dryer set we purchased at Lowes. After 18 months, the dryer just quit. The best part is, we hang clothes out most of the time. It was used one winter, $1400 wasted. We put a cheap Admiral in our second home and spent $500 total and they work fine. I will never ever purchase Whirlpool anything or recommend to anyone. Again, you lost a family tradition.

If replacing, how to select a reliable washer. How do you select, if when we purchased this washer it was rated very high. Whirlpool does not help with any issue. They were extremely rude. After 14 years of good service with Whirlpool Duet front load washer dryer
After 14 years of good service with Whirlpool Duet front load washer dryer set, wife chose Whirlpool kitchen appliances as part of a kitchen update project. All matching fridge, range, microwave hood and dishwasher. What a nightmare! The icemaker growls and whines all the time and the dishwasher was broken before being packaged at the manufacturer. A wheel from the middle rack was missing when the dishwasher was opened. It wasnt in the sealed dishwasher nor in the box. So it had to have been broken off before the item was boxed. We called for warranty claim and A-1 Appliance was recommended out of Shreveport, LA. In a few weeks he showed up, looked at the rack for a while and said Ill have to order a new part. I said fine. (How hard can that be? Right?) So here we are 5 months later, unable to use the middle rack because it cant hold any weight with the roller missing. Multiple calls to Whirlpool and A1 and we keep getting promises and runarounds that turn out to be lies. How hard is it to say go to your local Lowes and well authorize them to give to give you a rack from an in-stock dishwasher? Let Lowes wait on the new part! Sounds simple, and any other company would have done that, or told us to return it to Lowes for another one. But NO! Whirlpool just whines about being behind on parts, shorthanded, or lies about the part is in and its A1s problem now.So, today, same story. A1 says they need 2 parts. **! Its one part. Whirlpool says A1 has the needed part. Same old runaround. So, we just replaced our 14 year old washer and dryer with NON Whirlpool units. $2500 more in of appliances that Whirlpool could have gotten, but Im guessing they dont even care about missing and losing sells. They certainly do not care about warranty, parts, quality, customer satisfaction or repeat customers. Never again with Whirlpool! Beware!

My complaint is basically the same as all the others. Clothes do not come clean in my brand new Whirlpool washer. Ive had two other Whirlpools, and they were fine. This one, however, is a piece of junk. One of the main problems is that the washer is designed to use only lukewarm water, even on the hot setting, it does not use hot water. Another problem is too little water. Another irritating factor is the constant locking of the lid. Another problem is the constant starting and stopping of the agitator. This cannot be good for the motor. Im at the point of giving away my new washer which Ive had for exactly one week. This is a totally inferior product, and I feel that I have been really ripped off.

We purchased the Whirlpool double oven gas range from Lowes in July of 2014. The oven heat that boils out onto the stove top when you use either oven makes it difficult to handle the pots on the range top. The first time I used both ovens at the same time the plastic front to the control panel started to melt and the fumes were horrible. It was under warranty so Whirlpool replaced it with an identical panel that also melted when I used the top oven and range top at the same time. Its out of warranty so Whirlpool says its not their problem. From reading these other complaints it is obvious to me that customer satisfaction is not important to Whirlpool - just that profit margin. Build cheap - sell high should be their motto.

My new Tridel Condo came with a brand new Whirlpool washer and dryer and the washer has not been working well since the beginning. After several service calls the repairman finally gave up and now were getting a new replacement. However its been a nightmare working with them trying to get this washer replaced. The Whirlpool delivery team and the service team cant seem to coordinate a time together for the replacement. We had to make a first appointment for the service guy to uninstall the old unit, the second appt for the delivery guy to drop off the new unit and pick up the old and a 3rd appt to install the new unit. Each appt has a 4 hour wait window. This is their standard procedure, which is totally inconvenient to customers. To make matter worse, the delivery guy came too early for a condo delivery (before 9 AM) and told us he will be back the next day. And he didnt show up. It looks like now we actually have to have 5 appts (including the 2 missed appts by their delivery guy) to have the washer replaced. All the time I wasted waiting for this delivery is worth more than the washer itself. What would be 4 hours X 5 appts = 20 hours. This is the worst customer experience ever. After 3 months of constantly calling Whirlpool and still no washer. Whirlpool needs to hire some competent people who actually care about servicing their customers.

The top basket/drawer has latches that get tripped allowing the basket to drop down and confusing my wife. Not the best arrangement IMHO. I bought a Cabrio three years ago. Unless you wash everything on gentle and turn items with zipper inside out, it puts holes in everything. Then exactly one week after the warranty was up, it started giving an error code. I called the company and was told this was a common error and they would send someone to look at it for $150+. It would likely be another $300-$400 for parts and labor! I had someone else (not Whirlpool) come look at it and they said it was a bad computer that I should just replace the washer, because it would cost more than it was worth. So for two years, we have had to wait exactly 11 minutes for the washer to fault then restart it and repeat 3-6 times. It takes 2.5 hours to complete one cycle. If this is such a common error, why havent they fixed it or recalled the piece of junk?! Because they can make a lot more money this way! Three people I know have Cabrios and all have the same issue and all happened within a month of the warranty expiring. I am starting to think there is some sort of timer that makes it go bad just after the warranty expires on purpose. I will never buy another Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, or Amana (all the same company with different names).

Hi team, I have to lodge this complaint after because of getting continuous problems I have suffered with my Whirlpool fully automatic washing machine top load 11 kg bloom wash 360 degree. I purchased the abovesaid brand new washing machine on 1st Jan 2017. Since the purchase I am struggling with this machine. I raised the fault in the beginning itself and the service was done on 5th of Feb. Jobs sheets enclosed here with.Similar issues kept on arising and whenever I raised those issues with the whirlpool team, they mentioned that company policy is to repair the faulty part if it’s in warranty and they will not replace. They suggested me to go for the AMC and to be on the safer side, I also took AMC under warranty period only. (AMC card - My cheque dates and service details all are mentioned onto it.) Recently I faced another issue on 26th Feb for which ticket was raised. Engineer visited on 27th Feb and advised us to replace the motor part. On 3rd March they replaced motor mechanism and ball-bearings. Then engineer advised us to check the working by giving a trial wash.I started the machine to wash clothes and after 20 mins machine started making abnormal noise. (I have made video of it, audio of the video captured the noise). I again called up the service engineer immediately and informed him about the voice coming out of machine and he gave a lame answer by saying “It is normal sound”. Then I again called Whirlpool and requested senior engineer visit to resolve the issue. Senior engineer visited and told us that one of motor screw wasn’t tighten properly. It opened while running the machine which completely damaged the motor. After that I am continuously calling to service centre to get the updates on my machine motor replacement. Finally they mentioned that they dont have motor part available with them due to company ceased this model productivity. When I raised this issue with the Whirlpool team they mentioned that they can only pay 40% of the machine value, because I had AMC. However, I did mention that this damage is caused by the negligence of their service engineer, but they didn’t discuss anything about it.When I continuously chased them they dropped me an email to refund only the 40% of the machine value. I feel cheated and harassed!! When I bought the machine they gave us 10 years warranty now they mention that motor is not available as it’s a 5 years old model. My grievance is that since I had already taken the AMC and the damage was also caused by their engineer, why I have to bear the loss. I have already struggled a lot with this machine since last 5 years from the day I bought this machine and now I am losing my hard earned money. Kindly do the needful. Documents attached as follows: 1. Serial number of this machine 2. Bill/ Invoice copy from dealer 3. Job sheets4. AMC card (with 3 years extended warranty) Thanks,Pratibha

In August 2012 I purchased a side-by-side fridge with indoor water/ice dispenser. The appliance was purchased from Sears and delivered and installed by their employees or contractors. In November 2014 the refrigerator abruptly stopped making ice and began continuously cycling through the ice making process without creating ice cubes. Repairman told me the ice maker needs to be replaced for $300. He stated the control board went bad and the only recourse is an out of pocket replacement of the entire ice maker. A two year old fridge. The fridge has never been moved, abused, misused or dirty. It has only been used in a two adult home under normal household conditions. A 19 month oven should not have died. It should have cleaned the oven and continue to work for many more years. Again, Im upset, angry and disappointed with sears & whirlpool. And dont know what to do. Does anyone else have this problem with the oven, is there a recall?

The machine has an infinite water level setting, an agitator which I feel cleans clothes better, separate settings for water temperature for both wash and rinse cycles, and the ability to soak prior to washing by just leaving the lid up. You can add bleach and fabric softener to dispensers that will add to the tub at the time needed. My machine has been a really good one.

My wife and I purchased our new home in November 2014. The house was a foreclosure and therefore owned by a title company who gutted the home and installed all new appliances. Less than a year of ownership, the ice maker on the side by side fridge broke after normal use. Not having proof of purchase, I appealed to Whirlpool given the nature of my situation. They did NOTHING but try and sell me a new service agreement they offer to have it fixed. They cared little about my brand loyalty, situation or circumstances - all they wanted was to make more money off of the consumer. What ever happened to companies being accountable for the products they produce? What ever happened to companies wanting to do the right thing in order to retain loyal customers and increase satisfied word of mouth? Stay clear of Whirlpool... Theyre only out for themselves.

I have had my Cabrio for a year now and quite frankly, I find more satisfaction taking all of my laundry to a local laundromat. There is no soak cycle and when you have a kid in sports, that doesnt help. There is no agitator, and I am now convinced that they were originally in all washers for a reason. My clothes have all worn out and are shredding, not to mention my very expensive bath towels that I am now cutting into rags. This was the worst purchase I have ever made in my life and will never even look at a Whirlpool again. When I bought my house, I had a Maytag that was 35 years old and it did a better job than the new Cabrio. Should have stuck with that brand!

We purchased a Whirlpool Range from Brands Mart USA and did not try to use it for quite some time because our house was not ready to move in. When we tried to turn on the oven it would not come on. We called a repair service and was told the Motherboard was not working. We realize the warranty was out on the stove but it never worked and the stove is Brand New. We called Whirlpool and they was going to repair and changed their mind on December 18, 2014 at 8:54 am. Before that call we had spent quite a lot of hours on the phone with Whirlpool and Brands Mart USA.. We purchased three appliances from Brands Mart USA Range, Dishwasher and Microwave at the same time they were all Whirlpool products. What happened to Good Customer Service and Return Customers for Job Security? Well neither Company care for their customers. We did not break a motherboard for a stove oven because the range was never turned on because it was broken when purchased.. We are unable to get any help from either company. I talked today to ** & Supervisor ** from-Whirlpool and ** - Brands Mart USA, again no help. Why transfer you from one company to another for 1 hour and 45 minutes? WISH I COULD GET SOME HELP. And we wonder why companies go out of business - word of mouth complaints and especially with Senior Citizens like us.

I have had almost all the same issues everyone else who reviews the Cabrio WTW7800XWO washer. Now, the spring loaded lid wont stay up, so we have to use the Downy bottle to load the clothes. Thankfully, I have not had the lid crack... yet. We have had it serviced once while under warranty, that tech told us it wasnt good to wash small items, like socks. Are you kidding me? Now, the heavy lid falls on you while you are loading. I also have the Cabrio dryer, and we have fixed that more than the washer. DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL CABRIO. We bought it because it was the largest unit in the store, but it is junk.

My husband and I bought a new Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Series Washer and Dryer in November 2012 from Lowes. My clothes, especially towels, smell like mildew and mold since I have used it. I thought it was just me. I have even thrown some items away when they smelled so bad. I love doing laundry but this not being able to have clean smells was driving me crazy. I tried everything I could think of but to no avail. Finally in October of this year 2015 my washing machine began to make a loud noise. My husband said sounds like a bearing is going out. I immediately sought a repairman thinking that it would be a simple fix. $420 later I had a new bushing, bearing, sleeve, etc. The machine was still making noises even louder and my repairman came back, this time to the tune of $180. So far weve spent $600 on a washer that we gave a little over $800 for. Now I have a UL code showing up when my load is almost completely done and guess what? My repairman says he has yet another part that should take care of the noise but he wasnt so sure about the panel. He may have to do a little research on that. I think all I have is a repairman that is a parts replacer so we were forced to purchase a new washer yesterday and my Cabrio is sitting in my garage. If someone needs a boat anchor just please contact us. I wrote a letter to the corporate office of Whirlpool before I even knew that so many consumers were having problems. Two repairmen told me that the Cabrios were junk. Most of them belonged in the landfill. Whirlpool customer service called me and offered me a discount coupon on a new washer. I told them that I didnt think I needed another piece of crap. I also questioned them as to why they could foist these crappy machines off on the American public. They had no apologies whatsoever. While researching what brand washing machine to invest in, I realized that there were numerous complaints regarding the Whirlpool Cabrio. With as many consumers who have been taken advantage of with this awful product, why cant someone do something?

I replaced my hot water heater after 22 years and no problems. We got a 50 gal. gas heater from Lowe’s in 6/2008. In 1/2012, we had no pilot light and an alarm on high temp sensor. Whirlpool sent a new sensor and control valve to replace the bad unit. Here we go again, on 3/2013 - same parts same problems. We now have the cost again to have the parts installed for the second time. I have spent 1/2 the cost to have the parts put in than the cost for the heater. I will never pay for any Whirlpool product again. They are plain junk!

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio with the touch panel and top loader. The absolute worst. The machine leaves white marks all over dark clothes even when the extra rinse feature is used. Ive tried multiple detergents, skipping fabric softener completely, using very little detergent, and even tried different water temperatures. Nothing works. And should one have to go through such extremes to not have white streaks left on dark clothes? Absolutely not especially for the money spent. The machine wrinkles clothes like I have never see before. The dryer usually gets them out but not always. They are mangled after washing. Using the first or second spin speed helps reduce some but they are wetter going into the dryer that way. If I wash bed clothes, the tight fitting sheet that fits snugly around the mattress must be washed alone. If not, all the other items end up encased in it as if youve intentionally packed it that way to carry everything around. This leaves everything absolutely soaked. I have also had shirts come out with dry spots on them. How does a piece of clothing come out of a washer with more than one dry spot on it? And no I did not over pack the machine.I have had no problems with the dryer. It does its job so no complaints on that. I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio to my worst enemy. Complete waste of time, money, and water!!! Very disappointed and will never buy from this company again and will prevent anyone else from doing so the rest of my life. Did the company do zero testing on this machine before selling it? Because I see a lot of repetitive reviews. Or the company was well aware and did not care and just wanted to make money? Either way is unacceptable. Garbage!!!

This $1,000+ Whirlpool Cabrio washer high-efficiency machine should have lasted between 10-15 years, not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5! To expect less is to fall for the consumer cave in - where you just give up, give in and buy another. The Whirlpool tech just told the appliance repair guy that was here that the repair would involve a recirculating water pump and a bearing, and would cost $481 to repair. The appliance repairman said he is not in business to condemn appliances, but said he has a Kenmore top loader at his house. Simple, no electronics and less things to go wrong. Well after researching brands and reading reports, I thought I was buying a machine that would last at least as long as my second hand Maytag. Whirlpool has not heard the end of me. I have heard several other people say the same thing. Repair bills are huge and machines do not hold up. So much for buying quality. Now Im going to contact the MA attorney general for the states implied warranty, which means if you spend your money on any appliance, that appliance has an expected lifetime of service. A $1,000+ machine is not expected to fall apart after a few years.

I bought my glass top stainless electric Whirlpool range in April of 2019. It worked great until December 2019. Four days before Christmas my daughter was home alone and using the oven to heat up dinner. She smelled a terrible smell and there was a ton of electrical blue smoke. She called me at work and I told her to turn it off. My husband came home as I was talking to her and pulled out the stove. The place where the stove meets to cord had burst into flames. The wires in the cord were so badly damaged they were all exposed and singed. Our house could have caught fire! The whirlpool company will not stand by their product. They blamed it on the team at Lowe’s who installed the range...Lowe’s has been nothing but confusing and frustrating to deal with! I can’t believe how we’ve been treated. Do not buy whirlpool! Five years ago I bought a brand spanking new HE set with a top load washer, top of the line Whirlpool. That washer has been a piece of junk and getting it serviced has been a nightmare. It broke, i.e., the computer part, and was out of commission for FOUR MONTHS. I live on an island off of Alaska, luckily I rented one for the duration but STILL. That was an EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLAR MACHINE. I liked that they are new and shiny and look cool. I hate that the electronics broke after a few years. Ive had washers dryers that lasted TWENTY YEARS. The next set I buy will have plain buttons for cycles and NO ELECTRONICS. None. And still none. Electronics instead of plain buttons. Im not kidding, I will never buy another one with electronics. I bought a top of the line Whirlpool HE top loading set for over $1400 five years ago and that washer has been a bust. I have had a repairman out over 5 times and the last time he took it out and kept it in the shop for FOUR MONTHS. I will never buy a fancy set again. I will buy the old kind with the plain old buttons. Do not make this mistake yourself! Just buy a plain old one!

Also, I had to pay for a cracked bottom tray that happened during delivery which I didnt know occurred at the time. Whirlpool is now ignoring my phone calls and emails. We paid in excess of $800 last year. What am I going to do now? Buy another refrigerator and get rid of this one? I dont make that kind of money and I feel Whirlpool should stand behind their products. This model is not even on the recall list so that means to me that other consumers buying this model are getting ripped off also. The customer service people say sorry but wont budge on reimbursement. I was told they cannot honor my request. Whether this was under warranty or not, it still cannot be fixed according to the repair tech that was at my home. I need to find someone to help me before this lemon I bought decides to burst into flames. I want a replacement refrigerator, not this model of course, of equal value. I am not asking for the moon, just for something that works beyond one year. In this economy, we cant afford to buy a major appliance after one year. I have had nothing but problems with this refrigerator. Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty! Just a year old, my ice maker stopped working. Then, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Circuit boards were replaced, fan motors, etc. over $1500.00 in parts and labor and the entire summer to have it fixed. This past August, ice maker stopped working again. Then, stopped cooling. I am now at week 6 without a functioning refrigerator. While I am thankful I have an extended warranty, through the store that I purchased this refrigerator, I am not thrilled with the amount of time that has passed between each visit and the fact that it is the exact same parts that are once again being replaced. The first day I set foot in IKEA changed my life, innovative and sensible and affordable. Some years later I had the opportunity to remodel a kitchen and I immediately thought of IKEA. I used their online planner, researched the appliances and knew that they were made by Whirlpool and that they offered a kitchen package discount if I bought 3 or more appliances with all the cabinetry. So I hurriedly designed the entire kitchen from top to bottom with IKEA.Included in the design was my center piece, my 5 burner Praktfull Pro Gas/Convection oven range with stainless steel backsplash and top of the line hood fan, basically a thing of beauty! I loved it and I visited the store several times to look at it. I finally bought everything, and installed it. Absolutely the most beautiful kitchen in the world. We have a historic building and were on several historic tours, interviewed for the newspaper, our kitchen was the highlight of the tour. My gas range drew oooos and awwws. The range is an exceptional appliance, beautiful and amazingly efficient, easy to clean…I was in love. Then one day it happened, the love affair was quickly over, devastatingly over. The door fell off the oven and the hinge broke! Yes you heard me right, it fell off, but that is not the worst part. It appears that not only are there no parts to fix it… there IS no fix for it, period. The door fell off because it had been glued on!!! Yes glued on. Whirlpool and IKEA had actually manufactured an appliance that failed in less than 4 years of use and no apparent intention to ever provide service or parts for it. This is criminal and they should be fined for their neglect of the customer, their calculated malfeasance and fraud to the customer. So my beautiful kitchen has a big black angry cavity in it and now I must try to find a new range that will fit in the opening left by this piece of junk and also pay probably over $2,000 to $4,000 for it. Most of all I am heart broken, mad and distrustful of anything IKEA in the future. Oh and by the way, my entire house is IKEA, my living room, my patio, my bedroom (s), my library, my office! Ive spent thousands and thousands of dollars at IKEA. No more! THE FINAL INSULT: Ironically…. my kitchen was featured on the IKEA website!!!
