Ive bought two (2) whirlpool dishwashers in approximately two years. Both dishwashers stopped draining shortly after one year. I checked the filter, removed parts at bottom of appliance and checked the drain hose and my home drain to make sure that none were clogged. After testing the draining system a burning motor smell started to occur. At that point I disconnected and threw away the appliance. I dont know for sure but I think this is a recurring and known defect.

We have had a Whirlpool Refrigerator since 2004. We have only had minor issues with the ice maker within the last 3 years. We have had no major problems with this refrigerator. The other minor problems have been the quality of the drawers. After 15 years the plastic started to crack on them.

I do not know if my mail would be read or not, but I am writing it just to my satisfaction. I am a doctor (dentist) living in Haridwar. I had bought a Whirlpool fridge around 2-3 years back. I am not sure about the date. I have the bill. I will have to check the exact date. So around 3 months back, the fridge stopped cooling and I lodged a complaint in your customer care center. The engineer turned up, and he said that the compressor was not working and the company will change it. We only have to pay for the gas to be refilled. I said ok. Everything went well for nearly 3 months, then again one fine day, the cooling stopped. I called the companys customer care, and they gave me a complaint number and customer satisfaction number. But nobody turned up for 2 days. I called and called, then after much calling, a guy from the company came and said that the compressor was not working and they have to change it but that it will not be possible for 4 days. After 4 days, he will come.Sir, can you live without a fridge for 4 days and not getting the guarantee that it will be ok in the next 4 days? So, I went to the market bought a Kirloskar compressor, got it fixed, and got the gas filled; and the fridge is working fine now on the same day. This cost me nearly 4500rs, but I am happy that I have solved the problem. Till date, nobody has come to see my problem; and to my utter surprise, I received an SMS from Whirlpool that the customer is not willing to pay. Ha ha ha. My fridge is a double-door 280-liter fridge. What should I do?

Our $2000+ Whirlpool Gold just had the control board fail. After calling Whirlpool, local services and all national parts suppliers we were told each time the part is on back order until June. If this is Whirlpools way of generating new fridge sales, it does not work. No Whirlpool, Kenmore, Frigidaire or KitchenAid, all made by the same company will ever enter my home. The control board runs the fridge. Which executive thinks a family can live without a fridge for 4 months? What terrible service. GE always has parts and service. Go with GE everyone.

Horrendous product! Purchased December 3, 2014 – had service technician from Whirlpool check the unit for excessive noise 3 months later. Technician said it’s the way it is designed – ice maker in door, air has to be forced up from freezer so it makes a lot of noise! Now, 15 months later, the refrigerator has totally quit. We are waiting for technician from Whirlpool. Obviously, no extended warranty so Whirlpool said they would extend the warranty and cover this visit for $357! How nice of them since they are sure the parts will exceed that amount!!! What a piece of trash – guess the refrigerator is only meant to work about a year! NO MORE WHIRLPOOL! I am thinking about standing outside of Home Depot to warn any customers who are looking for a refrigerator not to buy Whirlpool!Updated 3/23/2016 - To add to our previous review, the service company, AIG finally after 3 days has approved the parts required to fix our with less refrigerator (15 months old.) It will take 8-10 business days for the parts to appear! We have no refrigerator for at least two weeks! Great service from Home Depot and AIG!

Yesterday I purchased this Whirlpool top load washer model WTW4816FW with agitator and we installed it at our vacation home and I started a small load to wash. Yikes, it made noises like a machine that is on its last legs. I knew from washing clothes for 40 years that this is NOT right. We, hubby and I waited and listened to this piece of junk to finish the cycle. Thank god I had set it for a short wash. We also videoed this contraption while it was grinding. I called Lowes and politely told them I was returning it. Thankfully they never had a problem with us bringing it back. (This must happen often.) I go back to the appliance department and decide on a Maytag. I noticed that it looked like the junk we just returned. I stood there and looked up the model number online and lo and behold there was a video of it doing exactly the same noise. It was virtually the same machine I just returned with just a name change. Needless to say we left the store washerless until I can research this further. I then found out that Whirlpool now owns Maytag. Thing is I just bought a front loader Maytag for my main home and it works good. It was a replacement for a Whirlpool without a agitator which worked well too. The YouTube videos seem to be washers with agitators doing this. I just wish I could post the video for all to hear. I guess we are all at the mercy of big companies who dont care if they make a good product as long as they can make it cheap.

I bought a Maytag front load washer on October 24, 2010. I have not been able to use it because it came damaged by the manufacturers. I contacted them by phone several times and it took them three months to send someone (A and E sears repair). Two months passed and I did not get the parts necessary or a replacement washer. I kept calling and finally they sent someone again in May 2011. They said they where going to order the parts because the new company was not going to replace the machine, even though it was already damaged. They said I would get the parts between three-five business days. I only got one part. A and E sent a repair guy again on the 22nd of June. This one said they needed the entire machine in parts and that he would order the parts. I called A and E one week later and they said they were waiting for the on manufacturer to send the parts (Whirlpool). The 26th and the 27th of July, I got the parts. On the 22nd of July, another repairman came and said we needed more parts. Today, August 16, 2011, I called Whirlpool and A and E and now they said the parts wont be here till after October 26, which by then I would have to pay for the parts and labor if I wanted it fixed because by then the one-year warranty would have expired. So here I am with a $700 washer, which was never used and they refused to fix/replace. They sold me a lemon!

My model - GB9FHDXWD06 - is one of only a very few that fits our space. However, it has failed three times in 5 years: 1) A faulty defrost drain tube that was replaced under warranty, 2) A jammed vent flap that caused the freezer to fail, and 3) a burned-out control panel (an expensive repair). It is also annoyingly noisy and middling at energy efficiency. The coils are in a very narrow space below the refrigerator, which makes them a bear to clean. And, the plastic front plate that must be removed for cleaning breaks far too easily. On the good side, it is a bottom freezer model (which is far better for convenience), the space-wasting ice maker was very easy to remove, the glass shelves, removable baskets, and drawers are easy to clean, and the auto-defrost works very well (after the recall update, number one, above). Temperature uniformity is good and the freezer maintains below 0° very well. Overall, it is a good looking appliance with mediocre efficiency and poor reliability. Not recommended.

We bought this product and had only had it for a couple of weeks when I spilled soup on the open microwave door. My mistake, but I would think that might happen to other people once in a while. The soup leaked around the window gasket of the microwave and streaked the interior of the door. It also ran down into the door of the oven and streaked the interior of that door. No way to clean this up that I know of without taking the door apart. I think these gaskets should not allow liquid they leak into the inside of these doors. Whirlpool says its my problem. They call it a use and care issue. I think its a design issue.

Expected to come day before Thanksgiving, repairman cannot schedule until part arrives thus no guarantee date of fix. Found part online from AppliancePartsPro.com. They shipped it one day later - fixed dishwasher. Whirlpool will not stand behind part because it did not come from them. We installed this furnace along with a matching 4ton a/c unit over four years ago. It was installed with a 3 zone computer controlled damper system to separately condition the three floors of our home. This furnace was ideal because it has a dual stage combustion chamber depending on how much demand there is. So besides being 95% efficient, the furnace can run at 70% or 100% heating capacity which saves on utility bills when the whole house doesn't need heat at the same time. It also had a variable speed blower which made start ups and shut downs almost unnoticeable. The blower actually ramps up to speed discreetly and adjusts itself according to the amount of back-pressure it senses. This allows it to respond to varying conditions as each of the 3 thermostats are calling for heating or cooling at different times. And yes here in St. Louis we have had days that require heat on the first floor and a/c on the third floor at the same time. The controller cycles between the two every 15 mintutes. All of these features make it ideal for our 2200sq ft three story brick home(four including the basement where it is installed). This furnace and control system along with new ductwork and dampers were able to replace the two old furnaces and a/c units originally in the home. We haven't had a single problem with it in over four years and would recommend Whirlpool Gold products to anyone I know. If I ever had to do this again in another house I would do exactly the same thing with exactly the same products.

My Duet washer is just 3 years old and has had light use as there are only two people in the household. After just 3 short years the machine stopped working. We were told it needed a controller board and new valves. The cost of the repair was quoted at $733.00. This is far more than we paid for the machine. So we called customer service and at first they thought they could sell us a plan for $350.00 that would cover the repair but it was denied by the supervisor. So zero help, absolutely nothing. Now the backdrop here is that our last Whirlpool (same type) is still in use with our son no repairs in 15 years. Does anyone reading this think we should buy another Whirlpool or recommend it to our Friends and family? I think a Maytag is in our future. Whatever happened to companies standing behind their reputation in America?

Cabrio washer and dryer are not energy saver by any means! Have had the pair for almost 1 year and have spent at least 3 years of washing and drying time with these. What use to take 30 minutes to wash now takes at least 48 or more and the dryer has to be run twice on lots of loads to dry! The other thing is, with no water in the tub it really does not have a soak cycle to get really dirty stuff clean, so you wash things 2 or 3 times! Now I know why I see these washers and dryers like new in the used stores for $200 to $300. Thanks for the junk Whirlpool.

I had my entire kitchen re-modeled in May of 2013 and purchase all new Whirlpool appliances. I work for Standard Pacific Homes and purchase the identical appliances we provide in our homes. I am so disappointed in the refrigerator. Two months ago it stopped making ice and I was told to replace the filter and it would be OK. I did that and still no ice. I bought ice trays. A couple of days ago, I came home to find water on my kitchen floor coming from under the refrigerator. I called Whirlpool again and no real help.... Told me to call Lowes. I called Lowes and they gave me 3 more numbers to call for service. None of those service providers had any available appointments and told me to call Whirlpool. Meanwhile my refrigerator is standing in the middle of my kitchen so I can keep the water mopped up. The refrigerator was so difficult to move. Getting the feet moved up so the wheels could touch the floor took an hour and I ended up with bruised hands. My lesson in this is to buy a better brand next time and go top of the line. I sell these to our buyers at Standard Pacific Homes everyday..... Wish I could believe in the product.

My wife and I purchased the Whirlpool French Door Bottom Mount Refrigerator in April 2013. Thank God we purchased the extended warranty. In June 2014 the ice maker quit working and delivering water. We have had the service contractor that WHIRLPOOL has qualified for all repairs. They have set up FIVE appointments to resolve the issue, all of which I had to leave work to meet because they do not provide any scheduled service outside the hours of 8am to 4pm. The first time they came the service man told me that WHIRLPOOL RECOGNIZES THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW BECAUSE THESE ARE NOTORIOUS FOR FREEZING UP AND NOT WORKING. I asked the repair man if there has been a recall because of this, he said no because WHIRLPOOL WILL JUST REPAIR THE ONES PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT! I called Whirlpool headquarters today. The advisor said he will register my complaint. I asked, Is that it? What does that mean? He said, I cant tell you what happens after I register the complaint. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT. I hope this may help someone NOT make the same mistake. If you need to talk to someone in upper level management to discuss your issue, forget it...they want the position but no accountability.

I purchased a compact frontload washer. At first, I was getting a code f30, which took the technician weeks of coming to my home and changing different parts to finally accomplish that problem. After that, the machine would not go into high spin to wring the clothes out. So everything comes out soaking wet. After two different companies (Herbs Appliance and DanMarc Appliance which I got from my service contract) changed speed control, board, latch control, main computer, and top control board, the machine finally worked for a little while. Not long after, the machine is no longer wringing out once again. I am no longer under contract but had a repairman out three times to inform me this machine is a lemon. Whirlpool tells me I am no longer under contract, but my argument is this is not a new problem but a preexisting one.

I wish I had gone on this website and read the reviews before I bought my washer about two years ago. I thought the Whirlpool Cabrio was going to be a good machine because of the brand name and because it is one of the more expensive washers. Like many others have said, I am disappointed with this washer. I bought it because it has a large capacity, but mostly because it has a hand wash cycle and a deep water soak. I have found that the only cycle that actually may get clothes clean is the Bulky Items cycle, because it actually covers the clothes in water. Some of the other cycles dont even get the clothes entirely wet. And the deep water soak doesnt wash the clothes, rinse them, or spin them dry. I might as well pre-soak clothing in my laundry tub, and then put them in the machine to wash them. Prior to this machine, I had a Maytag Neptune front loader, which did alright, but it had a few problems. I am ready to go back to the inexpensive agitator machine my mother used to have, if anyone still makes them. They at least got the clothes clean, and you could soak clothing if you wanted to. Im sorry that I bought this expensive washer. I wish I had bought a relatively inexpensive, simple machine. One good thing about this machine though is that I was able to wash a sleeping bag on the Bulky Items cycle. So, I didnt have to take the sleeping bag to the laundromat. Whirlpool needs to improve this machine or go back to the drawing board and create a new one.

We bought a Whirlpool Dishwasher for a vacation home thinking it was a good brand. It was not a low end model. After two years of infrequent summer use it would start and then not complete a cycle. Looking on the internet I learned the control panel was known to be faulty. An appliance repair person also confirmed that the control panel was known to be faulty. Why are they allowed to sale defective appliances? I also feel Lowes Hardware is not without blame for unloading faulty equipment on unsuspecting consumers. What recourses do consumers have? I cannot afford another dishwasher after purchasing an appliance expected to last for years.

Whirlpool Duet $1300, in the past we had great service from other Whirlpool products. Just a more modern look and knowing it was a company we had used in the past with very little or no problems so we expected the same only with energy and water savings. We are energy aware and believe in conserving energy and water where we can. My wife wanted to stick with the brand that gave us good service in the past and chose one of their most conservative units on the market (I believe it was based mainly on looks). What burns me the most about this unit is its constant consumption of clothing, the repair guy found nothing askew with the unit and suggested smaller loads. So we reduced the load size smaller and smaller till we were washing each outfit separately and guess what, it still ate clothes, just chews them up.We lose about a hundred dollars a month in clothing. This washer tears holes and shreds clothing on almost every load, I have to put shirts and lighter clothes to the back of the washer then load the heavier blue jeans and such toward the front and hope they finish in the same position or something is ruined. The fabric becomes distressed, stretched, shredded or has holes, or any combination of the above. We have taken to going to a laundromat or sending clothes to the cleaners. These units are three years old and we are now looking for a replacement for the washer because the local service guy won’t even come out any more. This problem surfaced within a week of the first use of the machine and has remained steady, as we are retired and travel a lot we are not always using them so they are what I would term very lightly used.

It only has a 1 year warranty. The cost of the light would be over $500.00 dollar and that dont included labor. Dont even know the cost of fixing the loud noise. I just want people to be aware of Whirlpool appliances. After only 1 year of service it not going to work. Whirlpool will not fixed them. I have a Whirlpool 33 inch wide Side by Side refrigerator. WRS311SDHM. This is the worst refrigerator I have ever had. Temperatures are inconsistent. It is less than a year old. Initially, I stored the big container of spring mix lettuce on the bottom shelf of the refrig as it wouldnt fit in the crisper draw. The temp setting in the refrigerator was set to ideal. Oddly though, in the freezer, ice cubes were melting and refreezing creating a massive frozen block. So, I raised the temperature in the refrigerator, but kept the freezer at coldest. However, I noticed that when I set the refrigerator to a warmer setting, ice cream became cold soup despite the coldest setting.I called Whirlpool and a service technician from Georges Appliance in New Providence, NJ came to my home (of course I had to take half a day off from work). He stuck a thermometer in the freezer and said, its working fine. While at my home he called Whirlpool who said that if lettuce isnt kept in the crisper drawer it will freeze (silly woman, dont you know that?) and ice cream will get soft in the freezer if the temp in the refridge is warmer than ideal. So, it seems I can have lettuce or ice cream, but not both. Okay, so I put the temp back to ideal, bought smaller packs of lettuce that would fit in the crisper draw and called it a day. Nope....lettuce and anything else in the crisper draw freezes too. Wilted, soggy lettuce is so nice in a salad and frozen baby carrots can break your teeth.I have been on the phone with Whirlpool executive dept several times. They offered to have another service company come out to look at the refrigerator. This repair company would not give me a 4 hr time frame until the day before the actual service call. This might be okay if you work from home or are retired, but this is not my case. I opted to not have them come. This is my last Whirlpool product. Since KitchenAid and Jenn Air are owned by Maytag/whirlpool, my other options are LG, Samsung, GE or Sub Zero.

We purchased a new Whirlpool Cooker (Model Number YWFE745HOFH2) in June 2021. Our first disappointment came when we used the Self Clean function to clean the oven. Unlike our previous Whirlpool cooker (which we were very pleased with) this required us to put water into the bottom section of the oven. After the advised time the oven was exactly the same as at the start of the process. For readers of this review I would like to stress that the oven was not excessively soiled. We just wanted to try out the feature. In August my wife dropped a ceramic cup onto the cooker top and the top shattered completely. This, of course, was not the fault of Whirlpool, but we were shocked that the damage was so extensive. A new cooker top was ordered and arrived at the beginning of October (dispatch problems). After each use of the cooker top it has been cleaned with a recommended cleaning product. Today I accidentally allowed a pot of rice to boil over and, although I immediately removed the pot from the cooker top and wiped both the bottom of the pot and the top before continuing, the residue will not come off of the surface. It looks awful! We had our last cooker for over 10 years - if I could afford to I would get rid of this product tomorrow!

I bought this dishwasher in Nov. 2018 to replace one that was barely working. I have enjoyed using it much more than my old one. Its very quiet and does a great job of cleaning dishes, pans and silverware. The only problem we had was installing it. The leveling screws do not hold their height adjustment when the dishwasher is pushed across the floor during installation because the leveling screw pad was changed from steel to plastic and the tapped hole for the leveling screw is too loose. The effect of this - whereas the steel pad would slide the plastic pad will grab, turn and move the leveling screw out of adjustment. Especially if its tapped hole is too loose. So we went to Home Depot and bought 4 5/16 nuts and used them as lock nuts on the 4 leveling screws. This cost 50 cents. Once we installed it everything worked perfectly. It does take longer to complete a cycle than my old one - 3 hours vs. 2 but it uses less water and does a great job of cleaning. You must use a drying agent with your dish soap or it wont get dry enough. Also, if you use the short 1 hour wash it wont have as much time to dry and some dishes wont be completely dry. I usually wait to do a full wash with the normal cycle - 3 hour.

On 12-22-13 we purchased a new Whirlpool Washer- Model=Top Loading-WTW4800BQ. We also purchased Lowes extended warranty. Washer was delivered on 12-24-13 around 1:00pm. Connected washer. Washer filled with water. System started but would not wash. 10 minutes later it rinsed and drained but would not go thru wash cycle. We clicked the cancel button for 3-seconds to restart. Same problem. Called Lowes - Lady name Kelly continued to tell us we did something wrong. She would not listen and continued to say its Christmas EVE. Finally the workers came out to check it out around 4:00. Confirmed washer is defective and new washer will be delivered on 12-26-13. Confused as to the label on the machine says made with pride in America. Our 20yr. old Cabrio only lasted two years and went up. Never buy another Whirlpool product!

My Whirlpool Cabrio Washer is less than one year old and quit working. Sears was supposed to come out and fix it (I even have the extended warranty till 2014). Service never showed up; when we called, they told us we had been rescheduled. Here it is the rescheduled day time slot and they still have not arrived. Im getting the runaround from them and I am supposed to be grateful because they gave me a $75 gift card for my inconvenience. Im on hold with Whirlpool because I just want them to take the washer back. I have been told by Sears since it is over 90 days, they cannot refund my money. I just have to wait for a repair which may or may not happen since they may not have the parts. This is unsatisfactory service from both Sears and Whirlpool. I have always bought my appliances through Sears and they have always been Whirlpool. I wish I would have read all these reviews before I purchased this model.

I purchased my new washing machine in September 2011. When I removed the clothes from the washer after the first wash, I noticed that there was soap on several of the items. I ran them through another rinse and spin cycle, and there was still soap on several items. In an effort to avoid this problem, I no longer use the soap dispenser tray, and use the bulky cycle to get more water in the tub. Like most of the others, the clothes are tangled and stretched from one side of the tub to the other. Also, it takes 1 hour and 36 minutes to run a complete cycle. The manager of Sears tells me, that because of government regulations, that in a few years, you will not be able to buy any other type of washer. I purchased this machine, because it was highly recommended by Consumers Report magazine. I filed a complaint with them eight days ago, but have not had a response.

Bought a $2500.00 fridge in Dec. 2012. By July, we were dealing with our 4th repair. Customer service in warranty department is non-existent. They act like you are a bother and have no right to demand replacement. I sent an email. No response. I wrote a letter to Corporate. No response. Not until I made comments on Facebook. Then I get a call offering me an extended warranty (which I already had purchased) so they said they would give another year (total of 3). This was a few weeks ago. I still have yet to receive anything or hear anything. This morning, our fridge is on the fritz again. I am loathe to have to deal with them again, but have no choice. Its either deal with them or throw out the 8 month old unit and buy something else. I should not even have to consider that. Whirlpool is a huge company. I do not understand their reluctance to just replace a product that is obviously defective unless they have no confidence in a replacement unit. This is so frustrating and upsetting to me. I did my research. I thought I was getting a quality product from a quality company. What a disappointment.

Refrigerator was purchased in March 2015. Icemaker filled the basket two times then never worked properly again. The water would enter the tray, freeze, but never drop the cubes. In order to drop the cubes, we had to unplug the refrigerator for a moment then we would have those few cubes. We used one service company sent by Whirlpool that came 3 times, adjusted temp, and replaced one electrical part. It didnt work. The repairman was going to call for support from Whirlpool to see if anyone else had had this problem. I didnt hear back from him until I called him 1 1/2 weeks later. He basically said there was nothing else he could do. Whirlpool sent out another service company. He replaced 2 electrical parts. They didnt work. We have no choice but to keep having service men come out and try to repair the refrigerator. What happens when the warranty has expired? They are trying to sell me an extended warranty. Give me a break. It would be nice to have a working refrigerator first. I wish I would have read these reviews before I ever bought a Whirlpool. Im 78 and Im still learning. Never again, Whirlpool. Ill spread the news as well because we all work too hard for our money to throw it away on poor products.

My 3 year old Whirlpool refrigerator costing $1285.86, needs a new motor and fan. Of course it died right after a trip to the grocery store. On a week temperatures were well into the 90 degree range. Needless to say my groceries had to be thrown out at a cost of an additional $250. How convenient that the refrigerator died 2 months after the 3 year protection plan ran out. I just spent $182.94 to have a repair person come and check out the refrigerator. I will need to spend another $170.00-$200.00 for the motor and fan once the parts come in, which can take up to another 10 days. Had to go out and buy a backup refrigerator that cost $562.38. Also had an issue with this refrigerator after a year and half with ice building up in the bottom of the freezer. Luckily we had the protection plan at that time, otherwise that would have cost us $157.58. The refrigerator is stainless steel and I have a terrible time keeping the rust off the front of it. At this point l guess all I can do is warn everyone I know to never buy a Whirlpool appliance if this is an indication of how they manufacture their products. So very disgusted with this refrigerator! Sad my old Frigidaire was close to 30 years old when the freezer just wasnt freezing well anymore. Thats why my new backup refrigerator is a Frigidaire and not a Whirlpool.

We bought an oven built in from IKEA - Whirlpool. It didnt work from the beginning. We called for a technician, who comes in the next day, took the defective part and ordered a new one. Took two weeks to arrive. Now I just found out that I will have to wait another week for somebody to come and install the replaced part. I am very disappointed with their way to serve me as a client. I explained to them that itd be nice if the technician it will come at the first hour in the morning ex. 9 am so I can go back to work after that. Which is not possible. The tech is more important than you as a customer. The technician will give you a 2 hours windows to arrive and after that who knows how long it will take the repair. So far I have this build-in-oven in the kitchen just for design, is not useful I doubt that it will be working soon. The lady who called me from Whirlpool Canada was giving me theyre the option in the manner or take or leave it.To be honest, I regret buying this oven, so far I havent used. Wasted my time trying to get them to be more efficient, but got the message from them that I dont matter. Never been treated so wrong by somebody who is working in customer service. The first call it was coming from a company which is located in Maple Ridge, BC phone number 604-466-5597 and when I insisted on having the repair being done asap they hung up on me. I asked for supervisor or a manager, and they told me they are not allowed to give any of those on the phone... Buying this oven was a mistake, trying to deal with them another mistake. I dont recommend to anybody this oven or dealing with Whirlpool Canada.

My review is not about Lowes, it is about the Whirlpool Range I purchased. I purchased a Whirlpool Range in 2013. In a matter of a few weeks the drawer at the bottom was giving problems. It was still under warranty and a repairman was sent to repair it at no cost to me. Something was broke about it. The drawer is so flimsy made it is not made to hold much of anything to start with. I have to take all sorts of effort to get it to close correctly. It is just shoddy made. Then a few weeks ago a piece of the side trim on the oven door fell off. My husband got it back on and then it fell off again last night. I am not happy with this stove, it is cheap made for $550.00. It is white with a smooth cooking surface. Drawer is so shallow and wont stay on the tracks, things fall out over the back. I am not satisfied with this stove, but I have got to keep it.

We purchased a Whirlpool French Door Bottom Mount Refrigerator on July 14, 2014. Price $2,139.99. We chose Whirlpool because they have always manufactured and stood behind their products. Hah! We will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product or even a product made by Whirlpool. The refrigerator quit cooling over a week ago. After calling Whirlpool service center they set up an appointment for a service call. The repairman came out said it was the refrigerator fan motor and another piece. He tried to order both but was told the parts would have to come from Lakeland, Florida and it would take about 5 days or so to receive them. We called Whirlpool. After being on the phone forever they finally said they would overnight the part to our home address then we should call the repairman to make a return visit. We received the parts last Thursday, called the repairman and he couldnt make it out here until today. When he got here and started to replace the part he discovered Whirlpool had sent the wrong fan motor. He called Whirlpool and they said the part was on back order and it would be shipped in 5 plus days or so. Both my husband and I talked with Whirlpool and the only thing they were willing to do is if they find the part they will ship it overnight then we would have to call the repairman and schedule another service call. They did say if we found the part they would reimburse us for the part. They wouldnt talk with us about replacing the fridge, etc. I will be out of a refrigerator for what looks like 2 plus weeks and this is not acceptable service from a company like Whirlpool. Pretty much everything in our fridge has gone bad. Whirlpool is not even willing to compensate us for our loss of food. They said all they could was offer us a 6 month extended warranty. We are completely unhappy with their service or rather lack thereof.

I purchased this washer about a year ago and have been dissatisfied with it
I purchased this washer about a year ago and have been dissatisfied with its performance since Day One. It takes a long time to run a cycle and has not saved me any water or electricity. I always have to add a second rinse because it doesnt get the soap out (using the recommended detergent) with the regular cycles. Sometimes it doesnt get my clothes clean.Today it tore huge holes in the front and back of one of my very favorite T-shirts, which was a very meaningful gift from a very good friend. This was due to its tangling the clothes even more tightly than it usually does; the tangling process was what tore the material. I always take pains to load the machine in the manner instructed, to put the clothes in loose balls around the outside of the drum, but nevertheless it can take me several minutes to untangle my laundry before I put it in the dryer (also a Whirlpool -- just waiting to see how it disappoints). If I had read the reviews here before I selected my new machines, I would never have purchased the Whirlpool washer or dryer. I certainly never will purchase Whirlpool machines again.

We bought a Whirlpool range with glass cooktop and convection oven to replace a 20 year old stove which had served us reliably but was beginning to look a bit dated and worse for the wear. The new range was installed in February, less than 2 months ago. Today, while I was preparing Easter dinner and had a ham in the oven, the cooktop elements refused to heat, even though the cooktop on light was lit up. We followed all the troubleshooting tips we could find in the user manual and online, but nothing worked. We decided to do the rest of the meal in the microwave and just finish the ham in the oven (which had been working). Then the oven failed, and would not heat back up.As a last resort, we pulled the range out and unplugged it, to perform a hard reset of the electronics. (This was recommended in some of the online troubleshooting tips.) No joy. Both the oven and cooktop elements will not heat, even though the lights on the control panel light up. Now we have to call a service technician to come fix it in the middle of a pandemic. How can a brand new and expensive range be less reliable and less useful than the cheap 20 year old stove we just got rid of?

Bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer from Home Depot. It started making noises on the spin cycle 2 months after the purchase. No power. The tech came out and tried to run tests but the machine would not respond correctly. Informed it has a bad control. The machine will malfunction even if a button is pressed too long. And then its repairman time again. This machine is poorly designed. No doubt whoever designed the digital control panel did not think about ease of use. The tech has to recalibrate the controls after every failure. Whirlpool and Maytag have put out a bad product and this will be my last.

Now that the warranty is no good on any of the crap I will no doubt be charged an arm and a leg to get it fixed, which definitely won’t be worth it!!! Whirlpool is such crap!!! When the repairman arrived on 09-09-2020, he opened up the stove and checked it, and he told me that a computer part needs to be replaced, as well as the igniter, and the cost would be between $400.00 and $600.00 (I dont remember the exact amount), I told SEVERAL times, maybe its just the igniter (for which the cost would less than $100.00 AND already included in the $134.95), but he insisted that the computer needed to be replaced, I did not like the way he explained it to me, it did not make sense. After that I was planning to buy a new stove, as the repair was too high. But, I decided to try to change the igniter myself before getting rid of the stove (the igniter cost was $21.00). I just got the igniter recently, and installed it, with help from YouTube, and what do you? THE STOVE IS WORKING!!! This is fraud!!! The deli drawer lid broke within a month or two, but I didnt care about that so I just threw it away. The ice machine stopped working a little after the first year. Today however is what got me to write a review - I spent a couple of hours trying to duct tape and make wood supports to hold up the frame for the produce drawers - one of which is totally cracked when it fell from having the support break. While doing this I noticed there are hairline cracks on the front of all 4 of the shelves! Also, this one has a wire basket in the bottom instead of a full drawer - probably more supportive, but it means stuff constantly falls into the bottom of the fridge and it is extremely hard to get in there to clean.

I bought a Whirlpool front loading washing machine 5 years ago, which has given me constant trouble. The computer on the machine is not working. When it is fixed, the machines makes extremely loud grinding noises and frequently the spinner does not work properly, leaving you with heavy sodden wet clothes. Whirlpools guarantee is very limited and customer service is unhelpful except to apologize for your horrible experience. You will have to pay for a technician to diagnose the problem. I will have to replace this costly machine after just 5 years of unreliable service. I would never buy a Whirlpool product again.

As the paperwork says, it has a 12-year warranty. We purchased a Whirlpool 5 top burner gas range in 2008. The oven stopped working. It would click 2-3 times, heat to 100 degrees then stop. Luckily, the range was still in the 1 year warranty. WP sent a tech out who eventually deemed it non-repairable. WP replaced the range. We were sent a letter offering an extended warranty plan May/June 2012. We took advantage considering our troubles with the first range. In October 2012, we noticed the oven started the same problem (2-3 clicks and would not ignite). In addition, the top burner clicks on its own to the point to having to unplug it. Since then, we have not plugged it back in for we feel it’s not safe! We have been working with WP Extended Service Plan (ESP). The obligor is the Federal Warranty Service Corp. for 2 months, ruining our Thanksgiving and now a few weeks till Christmas, our family is still without a range/oven. The ESP claims the damage is from chewed wiring from rodents. We live near fields that have just been cut; mice are coming into our home. However, when the tech came out, finally, he claims there are no chewed wires and the part he has to fix the oven is not worth putting in and will contact the ESP claims department to deem the range/oven non-repairable. This is the second range/oven - its doing the exact same problem as the first but ESP refuses to help us. The last supervisor would not do anything. We requested his ID# and he hung up on us. I contacted WP directly and waiting to if they can help.

The burners were very crooked and the pans got burned out right away. They were covered under warranty but since then, they had the same problem with them with the new items. They had the light bulb stuck and couldnt get it out, they came under warranty and now a new light bulb wont work in it. The control top indicator light didnt work so I had that fixed under the warranty, but now it has the same problem and I cant afford to get it fixed and it could be a real safety issue. When it was under warranty, I called about the brown in between the oven door and they said it was cosmetic. It gets worse every time we use the self-cleaning oven like the seal isnt tight. The outside of the door gets brown also when using the self-cleaning oven. We thought we would have this range for a long time as we had a Whirlpool range before which lasted 20 years. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again and we have had a lot of them. e cant afford to buy a new one so we are stuck with this one with all its problems. Whirlpool just gives you the runaround when you call. When they brought the range, the self-cleaning oven part wasnt even hooked up so they had to come back and fix it. I cant believe they dont have more recalls on these. I have only had this for 4 years.

I bought a Whirlpool water heater a few years back and have had nothing but headaches replacing the thermocouple every 1 to 3 months. The last one only lasted for 4 days. I did have a small flood in my basement well after the problems began. There are no visible signs of water damage to the unit, but Whirlpool has dropped my warranty completely. They sounded like they intend on not helping me anyway.

I recently purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator, model number WRT351SFYB00. Several months later, I noticed a small amount of water on my kitchen floor. I moved the refrigerator and found the hard wood floor under it had been completely ruined, so the leak had obviously been going on for a long time. Possibly since day one. I called a repair man. He identified the leak was coming from a cracked drip tray which was not uncommon. However, much to his surprise, due to the design of this model, he was unable to remove and replace the tray. He explained there was a metal panel bolted in place that was preventing him from replacing it. He said this panel was also bolted to the compressor. Therefore, the best he could do was caulk whatever cracks he found in the existing tray and hope for the best. It goes without saying he could not guarantee his work like he normally does.I noticed this same complaint on a user forum website on Appliancepartspros.com, so this refrigerator obviously has a significant design flaw. My repairman said if it was his refrigerator, hed get rid of it, and also indicated that after seeing this, hed never again recommend Whirlpool to anyone. All I know is that Whirlpool is permanently off of my list now as well.

Im so disappointed with this product. Its only a couple of years old, which seems fairly new as my old washer was over 20 years old when I finally got rid of it because of the noise it was making! First, the Cabrio stopped draining and spinning, even though the display showed that the cycle was done. Phoned Whirlpool, and the best they could do was send out a repairman - at our cost, of course! We refused, and kept using the machine - put it on for an extra drain and spin. Then, it stopped working completely! My husband hauled it out to a repair shop and was told it needs a new motherboard at a cost of $400 plus labor! This was an expensive washing machine, and I feel Whirlpool should offer its customers better service! I guess we need to buy a new machine - definitely not Whirlpool!!

We have had every issue with our Cabrio model 6600 SB2 that Kimber of Salem, VA has had. Thankfully, we purchased an extended warranty at time of purchase(1-31-07) from Lowes or repair costs would have totaled more that the price of the washer, which was $900.00.It is now making a loud noise during spin cycle that sounds like a bearing going out. It is 1 month from being out of the 4 year extended warranty and today, 12-26-11, the repairman has told me that the washer needs to be rebuilt. The washer itself, does not clean that well and the clothes are so wrinkled when they come out, that the dryer cannot get the wrinkles out, so everything needs to be ironed. What a pain!We bought this washer because Consumer Reports magazine listed it as a best buy. This is not the first recommendation Ive chosen because of their magazine that I was disappointed with. I have lost faith in them. I would not recommend this washer to anyone. The matching dryer, however, has been trouble free.

This is a replacement of a similar model, that lasted 23 years. This modest, white, 2 door, side by side refrigerator, was purchased without the optional ice maker. It was bought specifically for the dimensions, of our custom cabinets. There are obvious differences, from the previous incarnation. The textured doors were replaced with a smooth glossy finish and their height extends higher than the refrigerator cabinet. The adjustable shelves were replaced with less adjustable pre fixed shelf supports. The LED interior lighting is much brighter that the incandescent bulbs they replaced. Overall, so far a very capable refrigerator, for a moderately sized kitchen and if the life, lasts as long as the one it replaced, this was a very good purchase.

Whirlpool realized in 2002 that this was a defective part. In 2005, they recalled the product. I purchased the Hot Water Heater (Model # BFG1F4034T3NOV) in 2006. Being this product was recalled in 2005, why was it still being sold at Lowes and other stores? Why wasnt it pulled from the shelves? Why werent the parts replaced before being sold? The hot water heater stopped producing hot water. I contacted Whirlpool and they said the gas control valve had to be replaced; they gave me a part # and an authorization # and told me I could pick it up at Lowes. I asked about installation, because it is still under warranty. They said they dont service this. I picked up the part and tried to find a plumber to do the work and they said it was too small a job. I had to impose on friends to help me; one is a volunteer fireman. He came out and put on the new part and in doing so, another piece broke. We called Whirlpool and they said they had to replace the manifold door assembly. They overnighted the part. Again, I asked about them servicing this hot water heater and I told them I am a single parent and cant do this work. They said they dont service this item. I then had a handyman come out to try to fix it and he wasnt able to get it to work and now I smelled gas (it cost me $198). I had to call the gas company and they came and said there was a leak and turned it off and gave me a violation. I called the company I have an HVAC contract with and they added the hot water heater to that contract and it cost me $120 more for a year. They finally got it working, I was without hot water for a week. I do not recommend anyone buy products from this company. They are horrible to do business with and their service is awful (the service they dont offer).

They have sent three specialists to look and assess the Whirlpool washer and dryer that I have. Both stated that the washer does not function correctly; the last repair man stated that he had seen many like this and they have a history of unreliability. I would like my money back, not a repair, as they do not even use just cold, but a mixture of both hot and cold. I had bought them specifically because I thought they only used cold, which was stated by Whirlpool. This is wrong advertising. I would like my money back. I still have the receipt and I am seriously unhappy with the washer and dryer, period.Since I cannot use the machine, which I had bought for $1600.00, the washer and dryer is now sitting in my basement. BEWARE THE TEMP CAN BE 25 degrees off high and 25 deg lower and Whirlpool says that is within specifications. My oven temp was set at 350 and nothing was cooked... After 7 repair calls with their certified repair companies (the 2 worst repair companies that I have ever used) I was told that if you set your oven at 350 that if it stays in between 325 and 375 that Whirlpool claims that it is working fine and will not do anything. I called and talked to customer service and asked the lady that if you set your oven at 350 should it stay within a few degrees of that and she said YES.The people that work at Whirlpool do not even know what kind of junk that their company is selling. I asked to return it and get a more expensive model hoping that it would work better but they said that they sell ovens and do not buy them. Be sure to get in writing from your sales person that your oven will constantly hold the temp within a few degrees. I tried to do the Whirlpool survey but after 11 attempts they said that there was errors in receiving and they did not get it. If you buy Whirlpool then you did not ask the right questions. Purchase at 2014 and still working and nowadays, they dont make refrigerators, washer or dryers to last more than 3 to 4 years. The quality of appliances, really such since the manufacturers are greedy. And after the 5 year Warranty expires, only Lowes buys back the the appliances and Home Depot. Their Warranty specifies that you have to purchase from them to replacement of an appliances if purchased from them!??? Therefore I would not buy any appliance from them. A refrigerator, washer or dryer, you can take parts from each one and build a whole new appliance, which is very disappointing! TO ME THIS IS BAD BUSINESS FOR AMERICANS, not all people know this by experiencing this yourself and I let people know about my experiencing this myself, manufacturers should make products in The United States of America???

I purchased new and installed my heater in 2003. SN: 0253109845, MN: EE3J50RD0454. I started removing and replacing or cleaning heating elements in 2011: pretty good service. In 2015 I noticed black and brown water coming from the hot water taps. I opened it again, cleaned it, and realized anode replacement was required. That is when trouble started.I tried everything usual including 4 foot cheater bar, heating the coupling, impact wrench, tapping with a hammer, etc. Finally found a 700 ft-lb. pneumatic impact wrench on sale at Harbor Freight. After serious wear and tear on my air compressor and about 1-1/2 hours of work with the impact wrench, I got it out. The threads were messed up some, but I did not look close. I had to put the 1-1/4 inch head back in to return it to service while I found and ordered an anode. Could not get one from Whirlpool and could not buy one in Lowes where I bought the heater. The surprise was when I cleaned the threads to put the head back in, I had to use almost as much time and torque to get it to stop leaking as I did when I took it out. Then, when I did try to install the new anode, it required to same effort. Conclusion, There was some kind of imperfection with the threads in the coupling that messed up the threads on the initial installation of the anode, which made it nearly impossible to remove. Whirlpools quality control stinks. The next one will NOT be Whirlpool.

Model ED5PVEXWS14/Whirlpool Stainless Steel side-by-side refrigerator purchased from Lowes: My wife and I purchased this refrigerator from Lowes as a part of a kitchen renovation project. It was delivered by Lowes and worked great. The shelving cracked at the back as other owners experienced, but I blamed that on kids and was fine with ordering replacement parts online. Fast forward to the present and a year later, everything is working fine. Out of the blue it quit cooling or freezing on 6/12/13. I thought it was a capacitor problem, but since we purchased the refrigerator on 4/28/12, we decided to have a repairman come out and check. When he accessed it, he found that the compressor was bad. He stated every once in while you get a fridge with a bad compressor. He also said I just happened to have the particular refrigerator he sees frequently. I normally buy all Whirlpool products - microwaves, washer and dryer, dishwasher, my old refrigerator (still working at my relatives house), and my daughters college fridge. This is the first time I have experienced something of this nature with a Whirlpool product and hope I can work out a resolution with them or Lowes.
