My 3 year old water heater failed and the service line would send us the part but the install was my responsibility. Shipping was free but would take 3-5 BUSINESS days. Whole has a week to wait with no hot water, $35 for expedited shipping (which took 2 days), $175 for the plumber (authorized by Lowes (1star also) for installs). 2 days later the unit is cold again... Plumber comes back, plays with wiring and gets it fired up again. Says if there is a problem again to refer the techs to the plumbers office for new tank. Well now Whirlpool says they will only take the word of their own plumber AUTHORIZED HEATING 24 hours wait for a service call. You will be the 1st job Wednesday morning. Wednesday 930 call from AH we are backed up. Hope to be there between 1 and 4 pm. How did you get backed up if I was 1st job? Never again will I buy Whirlpool and nothing from Lowes as well. Still no hot water day 3 second time in 2 months.

We got the convection oven. It has no element like the one we had before with the fan. It is useless. We have to upgrade the temperature to get what we want. Difficult to clean. It does not cook like it should. We do not like it, period. Those electronic controls are not doing their work. No more Whirlpool appliances. Problems with the noise of our dishwasher also.

We purchased this Gold Series Whirlpool Dishwasher about 4 years ago. It worked very well up until April of this year. At that time, the main pump stopped working and it has to be replaced. There are just two of us in the household so the dishwasher was only used 2 or 3 times a week. We also kept it very clean with no build up. The gasket around the soap dispenser came out and one of the wheels fell off of the bottom rack. We just feel that 3 1/2 years is too soon for a major appliance to stop working and fall apart, especially given the light usage.

I was harassed and tortured. I got an extended warranty on Whirlpool microwave oven but from the last six months, I was not able to use it. The original part worked for four years but from the last four months, engineers have tried to change the part and it was a duplicate one every time. It did not last for 15 minutes in front of the engineer. To date, the engineers are still not able to fix my oven so I havent been able to use it for the last four months. Does it mean that Whirlpool make duplicate parts too and just ditch the customer? Is this also included under Whirlpools code of ethics?

Pros: The refrigerator is large and roomy, easily adjustable glass shelving, and easy temperature controls for the refrigerator temperature and freezer temperature. Cons: the refrigerator is bulky and limits space in a small kitchen. The lower freezer door does not seal very well and requires frequent tweaking and adjusting around the door seal. Also, the freezer handle becomes loose easily and requires tightening fairly often -- which is a pain to get on the floor on your back (and a flashlight plus a special wrench) to tighten the handle.

I purchase this machine over 15 years ago. It’s still working, washes the clothes. The only problem the section where the bleach is poured is completely rusted out. The machine has definitely lasted beyond the 15-year cycle. I intend to purchase a new one. I probably would buy the same brand.

We purchased a Whirlpool washer model WTW7500 in November of 2017. I found the clothes were not getting clean and also noticed that even after a full wash some parts of the clothing or sheets had dry spots! I checked all connections and called for service. As soon as the serviceman saw the machine he said, “yes, that’s a problem with those machines”. They are low water/water saving as per some American regulation and that’s what happens... you’re going to have to live with it. He also suggested running an extra rinse and using “deep water” function. I did this and it made very little difference except now a wash cycle for bedding is 104 minutes! Also, still had a big dry spot on my sheets!When I called again to Whirlpool they scheduled another repairman for a second opinion, turned out to be the same person with the same answers... I called Whirlpool again and was informed that my washing machine is working as designed! I argued that a washing machine is designed to wash and clean clothes so this one does not do what it is designed for... I spoke to the supervisor, she was actually just rude, also said I not had 30 days to make a complaint and I was outside of that, when I asked to speak to her supervisor she said there was no one above her although she denied being the owner of Whirlpool! (That’s my little joke). Anyway wish someone had warned me prior to this purchase.

I stumbled across this site while browsing the Net, looking for a way to deal with the same situation I now know you all have been struggling with: Whirlpool Washing Machine! I wonder: Is NASA still accepting volunteers for their living on Mars experiment? Id rather beat my clothes on a rock than touch that POS Whirlpool that has me back on tranquilizers! Mine was purchased about 2 years ago when I was in bad health and my son was handling my affairs. I could tell - just by listening - there was something very wrong with it, from the first load my son attempted to wash. It would start and stop, restart, restop, ad infinitum and made a terrible racket. I told him nobody would intentionally make a machine like that--something had to be wrong with it but he assured me that he had checked both with the store that sold it and he also read the manual. He had a hard time accepting but we thought maybe this was because it was new and would settle down after some use; after all, the store (Best Buy) assured him the sound was normal for this particular machine. However, the weird sounds did NOT lessen nor stop, nor did the starts and stops. Little did we know, this was just the tip of the iceberg! We have encountered/suffered through every nasty performance detailed here: low water, wont spin, leaves clothes soaking wet, wont spin out excess water, lid locks (grrrrrr), it cant seem to switch from one procedure to the next; there is nothing washing the dirt out of the clothes--they just sit in the water and soak(?), then the water is released. Clothes come out with stains still on, so wet that the water must be wrung out of them! Very hard for me with arthritis all through my body! Ive tried countless times to reset machine to Drain & Spin. Ive even waited (yawn) for it to unlock so I can open and then readjust the heavy/wet laundry, trying to make it even all the way around so to avoid an unbalance. But nothing helps. It will start to spin. And then it stops. (wait, wait) Starts to spin again. Stops. (wait, wait) Starts again, does it a bit longer. (start to relax) Stops. Ive spent HOURS engaged in that kind of mindless, maddening frustration, just trying to wash one small-medium load. (I wash only for one person--myself, now.) My son, who got married and no longer lives with me, said the only way he could manage to struggle through it - and agrees it DOES take an inordinate amount of time--for just ONE load, he has to put the settings so that it washes in Deep Water even if small load. He sets Rinse, to 2 Rinses. He sets it to Soak even if the soil is light. Even then, it still makes noises, starts and stops, has to be adjusted several times during Drain & Spin. Last but not least, the noxious odor: OMG! I left one batch of laundry in the machine, with the lid open, as it was very late so figured Id dry them next morning. Some hours later when I went back to shake them out and put in clothes dryer, they smelled so awful, I had to wash them all over again! In fact, Ive had to follow my sons admonition to leave the lid up AT ALL TIMES unless actually washing in order to keep down the stink. I washed my last load with Baking Soda added to wash cycle in an attempt to lessen the odor and get laundry cleaner. Someone here wrote - in their review - that there should be a Class Action (Law) Suit filed against Whirlpool. I AGREE!!! And I want to opt IN on it. There are several law firms that advertise on t.v. that specialize in Class Actions. It would take some time and paperwork but will not cost us anything unless we win the case. Then the law firm gets a percentage. I am willing to work with one more others here who truly want to settle out this problem. I cant believe 2,000 (and thats only here), people are willing to eat hundreds, thousands of dollars of worthless, mind-gripping, rubble such as we have spent our hard-earned money. Other manufacturers recall their defective merchandise and/or replace it, or make arrangements with the retail stores who carry it to make amends, free repairs, whatever it takes to make dissatisfied, disenfranchised customers, whole. We paid for these demons from hell and we deserve to get an equivalent in merchandise (that works properly) or services. That is how it is done here in the U.S. For the life of me, I just cant comprehend why Whirlpool has been allowed to continue selling this junk--why no entity or person or lawsuit has stopped them! As I said, I am willing to work with a core group who is serious about filing a Class Action (Law) Suit against Whirlpool. It may be that the retail stores would be included as well; however, that is a matter best left to the discretion of whichever law firm we select to represent us. For those of you here who do NOT wish to be included, do not worry; you are not being pushed into anything. The way Class Actions work, you have the choice to opt IN (be included to receive your pro-rata share of what is collected). Or you are completely free to opt OUT. By opting out, that means you do not wish to be part of the Class Action and therefore, you will not be included nor will you receive any portion of the recompense collected via the Class Action. Just for your information, though: You are allowed, by law, to bring your OWN lawsuit against all or some of the same parties. The most common reason for opting out, is if you have suffered an extra large financial loss and prefer to file your own suit in order to collect ALL recompense; whereas, sometimes - in a Class Action - the individual plaintiffs may not recoup the total amount they feel they have lost. If you DO decide to opt out and go on your own, realize you will be fully responsible for lawyer fees (although you CAN add them into the balance you are seeking in your suit. Settlement of your claim may or may not include lawyers fees.) Good Luck to all. My Whirlpool dishwasher is not old. It has hardly been used, and the board is bad. My washing machine, a duet, is not old, and the knob to turn it on broke. I am returning the knob to Whirlpool. Perhaps they can duct tape it and make it work on another machine and make big dollars on someone else that buys their junk. This is the LAST piece of junk that I will ever buy with a Whirpool name on it.

Overall, I am happy with my Cabrio BUT we purchased a Whirlpool WTW7000DW0 Cabrio top loading washer w/ electronic touch panel in May 2016. We experienced water hammer from day one. I finally had enough yesterday and knowing that the plumbing could be suffering (15 year old condo), purchased 2 Sioux Chief MiniRester, Model 660-H arresters (Lowes at $9.99 each) and had a plumber install them today. I could have but am nursing a fractured rib. Long story short, they work perfectly. There is NO indication elsewhere in the unit that water is even entering the tub unless youre standing right beside it.Ive been told that hammer problems exist in ALL high efficiency washers, all are prone to this problem. I was also told by a Whirlpool support person that the Cabrio is a Samsung design and the pulsing of supply water off and on, over and over is normal operation. If I had been informed when purchasing that hammer is a common problem, I would have installed arresters from the get-go. At the very least, manufacturers should include arresters as a part of the sale; installers should make sure that every new installation includes arresters. All told, I am out just under $200.00 for new technology that really could have been engineered out in the beginning.

After owning the Cabrio washing machine (WTW5700XW, purchase price $629) for approximately 18 months, it began stalling at the spin cycle, leaving the clothes sopping wet. We found we had to unplug the machine to reboot the computer, and then we were able to manually choose the drain and spin cycle to complete the cycle. Before beginning a new wash cycle, we have to unplug to reboot again, or it sticks in a perpetual pump cycle.I scheduled a repair appointment from the Whirlpool automated service system. The repair man determined the computer control panel has to be replaced. Diagnostic service call was $136, repair est, $321.67, repair service call, $60-130. Total repair cost on an 18-month old machine was $520+. I declined the repair in hope of getting extended warranty coverage from Whirlpool. Nobody has responded to my email complaint from one week ago, not even a computer acknowledgment of receipt of my email.

I am sorry to have updated that review 2 years later. Whirlpool has actually contacted me after posting on their Facebook support group. I am not sure how it happened but I was contacted by their executive team who is WAY more professional and efficient than their support team. In a matter of days my washer was replaced and installed by a new one - the closet available to the model I had - I did not pay a penny and no questions asked even though the washer was out of warranty. So my answer to you is when you are stuck do your best to talk to the executive team!

I bought a Cabrio washer. Since we bought it, I have had to fix it. The machine is a piece of junk. It looks nice though. After 5 technicians later, our piece of junk is still having problems. We are a poor family with 3 kids who struggle to make ends meet. I feel that this company has taken advantage of the people who put their trust in the so called American company Whirlpool.

Long story short is that my dishwasher was 7 months old and two parts went out on it. 4 months (and almost 3 hours total on the phone) later it still does not work. Whirlpool only has one repair person in our area and that person is a small business owner who works alone and is now in his 2nd week of vacation leaving no one else in his shop to do repair while he is out. I do not know if my part is ordered nor do I have a repair date! Never will I ever again purchase a $900.00 dishwasher or any appliance from Whirlpool!

When you first get the washer it looks like it can get the job done. Its the brand name and you trust to get the best clean from the washer. After a couple of months I dont see them clean. It washes with a couple of shakes back and forth and when my clothes are ready they seem like they were dipped in water. Not clean. It has all these fancy buttons for all different types of cycles and loads and they all seem to wash the same. As a mother of 3 kids I want my kids to put on CLEAN clothes. Not clothes that look like they have just been dipped in the water with detergent. I feel a good on cleaning board and my hands do a lot more than these high priced washers.

Please contact me if a class action Lawsuit has been filed for I am one of those who spent close to 3,000.00 for a lemon and to get the runaround. I spent every penny I earned to buy a long lasting fridge (Whirlpool Gold Series) only to have a headache ever since I bought it. Only owning a year the freezer went out, yes I had to endure the loud noise, no ice. Then the thing would spoil my milk and ham making my stomach to be sick. The temp is 60•. The people that Whirlpool sends out are in cahoots. Told me my compressor is out and I just heard it kick on. We are currently using refrigerator we brought out of the travel trailer kitchen because this thing sucked out all my money.

Just wondered if anyone else has had a problem with the paint bubbling up and peeling off their washer and/or dryer. My washer and dryer are in my laundry room off the kitchen with a heat and air vent in the room and I dont understand why my paint is doing this. They are about 5 years old and have always been in this room, never in a garage or basement. My dryer was rusting on the outside about 3 years ago and even though I bought the extended warranty, Whirlpool said it was only cosmetic and they wouldnt do anything about it. I bought them at Lowes and they were good enough to give me a new one to replace it. Both of the machines now have the paint bubbling up and peeling off and there is nothing that can be done. Anybody else have this problem and if so what can be done to repair the paint? This is my 3rd set of Whirlpool washer and dryers over the past 44 years and I will purchase another brand next time.

I bought Whirlpool refrigerators around one and half year ago. After 1 year the light of refrigerator was broken. I was contacting customer service and arranged the fix. However, the contractor never showed up. After I making the call several times, I gave up finally. The repair is really bad experience!

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator from Sears and within a month the refrigerator side did not maintain temperature where milk would not spoil... Cool but never cold. I called Sears and they said its Whirlpool warranty to contact them. This I did and about a week later they contacted a local service company they use to maintain their equipment... Long story short this will be the 4th time they were informed the refrigerator still doesnt maintain temperature... Food had to be thrown out because of that.I asked them to refund me my cost or at minimum get a working refrigerator to me because after 4 attempts at trying to fix the problem it still exists... They just want to keep sending a repairman out there who still cant figure out the problem and that has cost me much time away from work not the mention the spoiled food costs... Even when complaining my dilemma to the repairman he said, All they will do is keep calling us and kick the can down the road... They could care less about what it has cost me in time and money... I had to give 1 star to this company but they dont deserve even that one... Dont waste you time thinking a warranty by them is worth a flip and now over 3 months Im without a refrigerator...

Have had mine for 21 years. Okay, the soap dispenser door would not stay shut after about 19 years. No real problem, just placed the dishwasher tablet on the bottom of a mug on top shelf. Now the timer sticks and has to be rotated manually. I think after 21 years, it is time to replace it with another Whirlpool. This one owes me nothing for 21 years service.

At some point, Whirlpool should accept the fact that they should not sell this machine. Word of mouth spreads fast! Im hoping it will make a big dent in sales because I know then they will listen and act! I purchased it in 2006 for $800, thinking this Cabrio 6400SW is a dream, I can get more done in less time (at that time, there were seven in our family). However, problems within the first year, F1, but I was happy and still under warranty! It was fixed, only to start the problem again. This time, not under warranty! I really wish I had said yes to the extended warranty! Even the repair guy Whirlpool sent suggested it may be a good thing to get the extended warranty if I were you! I think he was trying to tell me something!My naive thought was, why spend more money we did not have? After all, it is a new machine! I did not comprehend that any company could sell and continue to sell something that was clearly a defective machine! Nor did I entertain the thought that a company would not stand behind their product! It is now 2012, I still have the machine because we have dealt with it and have/had no extra money to throw out at it. I have dealt with F1 for several years and did not contact Whirlpool, mostly out of lack of time to research what the deal was and if others were experiencing the same. In November 2011, after reading many complaints and frustrations on the internet and what results they got, I called Whirlpool. Using a level head, sugar sweet persona and a mindset of disbelief that Whirlpool would allow such problems, the customer service girl did her best with what she was told to reply with (meaning, there is nothing she can do). It is then that you ask to speak with a manager or director. I won in getting a repair guy out to fix the F1. They made it sound like they were doing me a onetime favor. The machine board was replaced, the repair person also thought there was an obstruction in the hose and he could fix it, but it would cost us money and suggested we try our hand at it first. We did find an obstruction and for one week, the machine was quietly working beautifully! Whirlpool even called to see about how it was working and my husband had answered that everything works well, not knowing that Ld is our new problem. Ld had started to pop up at the end of that week.So here it is July and Im so frustrated trying to get wash done. Im thinking of all the wasted time, all the wasted electricity and energy Ive spent trying to get this machine to work! My kids are trained to hit stop/pause if they hear it beeping. Some days we cant even get the clothes to spin dry. I try different cycles to get the machine to start and often have to cancel the cycle and change it to another cycle to get the machine to continue. Is there a smell? Yes, and I run the clean washer cycle twice in a row just about every other week now. That doesnt even seem to clean the washer anymore! Tangled clothes sometimes. Ld always, uL sometimes and a sound like it is trying to do something but is stuck. Lots of laundry to do! No money to fix it! Whirlpool needs to stop selling an inferior machine! I know one thing. Never Whirlpool again and I tell everyone not to go with Whirlpool Cabrio. Even one of my co-workers had one and bought a new washer (not Whirlpool) because of problems with her Cabrio only after three years! Do not purchase a Cabrio!

The inside glass of the oven door shattered. I have not used the oven for months. Only the the top cooking burners have been used. Its a mystery to me!! I have read complaints where the glass shattered while the oven was in use or being cleaned, but have found none where this happened to a cold oven. The large front burner is too hot. Even on the lowest setting everything burns. You cannot simmer, only boil. The control knobs have (in my opinion) no safety mechanism. I thought that the control knobs on stoves needed to be child proofed, hard for a child to turn on. My last stove you had to push down quite hard then turn to the setting. Not this stove. I have to be so careful when Im cleaning the area around the knobs. The slightest pressure and the knob turns. When I first purchased the stove while cleaning it, I unknowingly turned the knob and the kitchen filled with gas before I realized what had happened. I called Whirlpool thinking something was broken. They sent out a repairman. Nothing was broken. That is the way it is made. Customer Service said they had had no other complaints about the knobs. I find that hard to believe. My toddler grandchild can turn on the stove with ease. Im sure other concerned parents etc. have had this complaint. To sum it up... I will probably never purchase a Whirlpool product again.

I bought a Cabrio 2 yrs. ago and I wish I had my old washer back. I read reviews and checked out a lot of literature and thought I was getting a quality machine. What a waste of hard earned money. I cant get clothes clean, its loud, and it leaves soap residue even after an extra rinse. Whirlpool products arent what they claim to be. I had a freezer I bought because I bought a half a steer and it quit running and I lost all my beef - $700.00 worth. From now on I will stay away from any Whirlpool products!!

July 2017 I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator Model # WRF757SDEM00 S/NK51709722. The refrigerator portion went out, the repairman said it was the fan therefore I spent 351.00 dollars for house call and fan. When that did not work the repairman spoke to whirlpool and they said the panel of small computer may go out with it 212.00 plus tax. Did not allow that and tried another repairman who said the value that switches from freezer to refrigerator was out and if I could find someone to fix it would cost between 600 and 800. I went out and bought a Samsung because on the front said 10 year warranty. At least anything is better than 1 year whirlpool offers. There is NOTHING in the name.

My Cabrio is only 4 years old and it stop working properly. I call a service technicians to repair it and after aol $45 service charge level, he tells me that it has a Motor capacitor defect at a cost of $360 to repair. So I have paid useless piece of junk. I out and purchased another washer only $150 more than the repair. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. My last washer a Maytag (before Whirlpool bought them out) lasted over 20 years. So if you do not want to buy a new $600 washer every 4 years. Stay clear of Whirlpool.

I just bought a Whirlpool 50-gallon water heater from Lowes because my old one took a turn for the worse. I brought it home, installed it just as the directions said, and immediately got an FVS fault detected code as soon as I plugged it in and tried to ignite it. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with an appliance. And wouldnt you know it whirlpool service center is closed on weekends. What an absolute piece of trash. Im draining it and taking it back ASAP. Lowes and Whirlpool just lost my business for good.

Let me start out by saying that I had a Whirlpool washer that lasted me for over 25 years and done a great job of washing my heavily soiled clothes. One day it refused to run and I tried to get parts for it but it had become obsolete and no parts were to be found for it, so I had to buy a new washer. I chose whirlpool again and let me say that it was a huge mistake. This model is a low water, high efficiency, top loading machine. It has nubs in the bottom that agitate to clean the clothes. The first time that I used the machine, I found that I had made a mistake purchasing this machine. It does not clean the clothes and there is NOTHING efficient about this machine. I have to run the washer twice to clean my clothes and they are still not clean. It leaves soap in the clothes and does not rinse them clean of the soap. What it does very well is extract water from the clothes during the spin cycle. This washer really turns up the high RPM`s on spin cycle. It has ripped apart several of my shirts during spin cycle. Whirlpool really failed badly on this machine. I see clearly now that Whirlpool is not the company that they used to be back in the 1980`s. I still have the whirlpool dryer that I bought back in the 1980`s and it still works very well. To end this story, I loaded up this NEW WASHER in the back of my truck and took it to the scrap yard and I asked them to destroy it in front of my eyes. I wished that I had recorded the destruction of this piece of JUNK and posted it on YouTube for the world to see. I got over $450.00 of pleasure watching the crane operator completely destroy this pile of crap. GREAT JOB WHIRLPOOL … YOU HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER FOREVER. I WILL NEVER BUY ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE and will advise others not to buy Whirlpool products as well. I am a male, 62 years old and work hard for my ill spent money on your JUNK. Life is always a trial, live and learn the hard way. Warning to all consumers. Do not buy Whirlpool products ever!!!! In 2007 and 2008, I purchased 7 natural gas heaters: 1 for my home and 6 for rental properties. I have had nothing but problems from all of them. Two of them failed this weekend (one 40-gallon and one 50-gallon). I called the 800 number and have to pay $63.50 for parts for the 40-gallon and was given a PO number to pick up parts for the 50-gallon at Lowes. They do not have the parts. I have spent over $250,000 at Lowes since 2000. I have all Whirlpool appliances in rentals and my own home. The discussion I had at two Lowes stores today really showed me how they take care of their customers. I told both stores that I will never buy the Whirlpool brand again!

The machine works well but it is extremely noisy. Large loads need to be washed twice otherwise they seem to not be washed. This machine washes small loads better. Given an option next time I will buy a front loader.

This new Whirlpool washer hasnt worked from day one and the company wont do anything, they wont even answer me, I will never buy one again, all the same problems everyone else is having, Im just waiting for a lawsuit.

Purchased new 2013. The washer doesnt wash well and the spin cycle is malfunctioned - loud and the nut comes off and must be replaced often. The worst system ever purchased. DO NOT buy this washer!!!

This microwave oven has worked well now for about six months and overall we have no complaints. My only complaint is that it has a cheap feel to it, especially when the door is closed...it creates a rattle type hollow noise....it just does not sound like it is well made. Time will tell I guess. The unit works well and heats fairly evenly. The cook options are plentiful but we rarely use most of them as we are usually merely re-heating food or coffee. The defrost cycle does work well for us.We purchased this microwave oven as well as a Whirlpool Range and Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator at the same time from a small Home Depot. Whereas that store had the microwave on display it did not have the other two on display and therefore we purchased them sight unseen....a BAD, BAD mistake. I have reviews for those two so I will say no more about them here. Thus, overall, we are very pleased with this Whirlpool Microwave Oven and would recommend it.

We purchased a 50 gallon water heater that claimed to come with a 6-year warranty on parts. Its been a little over two years that we owned the product, and we noticed rust on the bottom. We checked to make sure if water or even moisture is visible from the outside - nothing. The problem is obviously coming from the inside. Since we have warranty, we called them and got nowhere! We were told that it is just cosmetic. They refused to send out a technician to take a look at it. We even emailed them pictures (see pictures) and still nothing, no service. Their warranty is a joke. We will never by any Whirlpool product ever again. Dont believe the sticker that claims you are covered for a certain amount of time. When it comes down to it, they will not do anything for you.

I purchased a very expensive Cabrio top-loading washer thinking I would never have to worry because supposedly it’s the top of the line, right? Well, I have it a few years; the first week they replaced the basket because it was ruining my clothes. And then I had to replace the pump because of a coin getting caught and putting a hole in the pump. Really? What the heck? Now the basket is all shredded at the top. Obviously that isn’t right, so what do I do now? Replace the basket again? Who gives them the right to charge so much for a piece of junk? Plus, it’s supposed to save on water, but I feel that the clothes don’t really clean well. They hardly feel wet coming out of the machine.

Bought the above named model number Whirlpool dishwasher in Nov 2017 and it stopped cleaning 6 months later, dishes were instead of dry and NOW the motor is completely shot! Never again! This is ridiculous that the part cost more than the product! Worse that I need it repaired or a new one in less than 3 years!

I have a nice basic fridge, 2 side by side doors on top and a freezer on the bottom. Also has ice and water on the door. It does exactly what it should do, keep my food cold! Works great, lots of room and has adjustable shelves. No weird electronics to break. Had it for 3 years and I love it. Also, its American made which is important to me.

We purchased our oven on 12/06/15. I have called and complained about the AquaLift oven on more than one occasion. This technology does not work. I would have thought that there would have FINALLY been a recall on this oven. I am a senior who thought this stove would last me for the rest of my life. I have to stand on my head to try to clean it. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER would I have purchased this if I had read any of the reviews. Buyer beware!!!

Weve been in this house for almost 4 years so the dishwasher (Whirlpool WDT790SAYM) is no older than that, maybe even 2.5 since I think I got it home in my CX-5 which is 2.5 years old. Anyway, never really had a problem with it and we run ours maybe once a day or twice in a row every 3 days. Last night I remember running a load and this morning noticed the dishes were dirty but the inside of the tub looked clean. So I plop another pod in and tried to run it again and sat there and watched it. It filled up with water but then nothing. After 20 minutes I opened the door and steam came out so the heater element was working and there was water at the bottom. I tried various things but nothing. Canceling still works.So either I try to get this fixed, or buy a new one. This wasnt a cheap dishwasher either. My wife balked when I 1st bought it considering she thinks a $300 model is better than most of these $500+ models. Right now I cant argue with her since we just replaced an expensive Samsung washing machine that lasted maybe 5 years. Theres another review of this model on these forums and the person tried to get it repaired many times and it appears maybe the same thing is happening to us. I wont go down that road considering repairs like that exceed the cost of a new dishwasher.

Refrigerator is good, keeps food at a good temperature, freezer keeps even ice cream solid. Only fault is draw in freezer does not hold as much as the old bottom freezer with separate unit for a draw. The refrigerator is nice looking and does the job. It just seems that manufacturers are always trying to make things better, but usually features were fine in older models.

I bought a house 2 years ago that came equipped with all new Whirlpool kitchen appliances (refrigerator/freezer, stove top and dishwasher). A few months ago, the damper door in our refrigerator broke causing food in the refrigerator to freeze. Just the other day my Whirlpool dishwasher stopped draining properly. Both instances a repairman was needed and were now out over $400 for repairs and parts. I would definitely not recommend purchasing any Whirlpool appliances and I am deeply frustrated that Im having to deal with these repairs and costs for appliances less than 2 years old.

Not real expensive but cleans almost perfect. Were happy. MUCH better than the beautiful and pricy Samsung. We returned it for this. Paid less than Samsung but always purchase extra warranty. So far so good. Pretty quiet. Nothing to complain about except be very careful how its loaded to get the best cleaning. Heat dries dishes really good. Looks great but not better than others.

I have had this Cabrio washer and it seems to be going well with the washer and I have done lots of laundry from this washer and it seems that it works well and I would recommend it to people and people would like to get their laundry done and people can choose what kinds of washers they want.

WTW5640X The machine is tearing up clothes of many including mine. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought I had over-loaded the machine. Not so. There has been nothing run through the machine other than clothes and bedding. When I called for service 1 1/2 months after warranty is out of date I am told I can have a service call including parts and labor and another year warranty for almost $400. If it werent for the numerous reports online of the machine doing the same to others I might have gone for it. Shame on you Whirlpool. Are you the next GM?

Ive spent more repairing this washer than what I paid for it new!!! Its really ridiculous that Whirlpool isnt more responsible for their equipment that doesnt stand up to their name! Ive replaced more things than I want to type but just to start the computer board, pump, bearings just to name a few. Each time I had my repairman out it was a minimum of $300 to repair. Ive had my repairman out 5 times to repair things. Thinking each time its cheaper to fix it than buy another which I surely didnt think I would be repairing it several time! At this point Im just sick to death that a washer that is for a home of myself and my daughter has broken down so much. I cant imagine what a family would go through. Even after all the repairs it still isnt right but Im done sinking money into this sinking ship of a washer! Its loud constantly stops due to un level so I have to move the clothes around usually having to repeat this several times before I can get the load to finish!!! Then they come out wrinkled more than they went in and I have to iron clothes. A person should NOT need to iron! May as well wash them in the river on a rock. It would be easier!!! SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

We have ALL Whirlpool appliances in our home. This was our second home so we were not here to use these for a long time. We were preparing our other home and our parents home to sell. Our French door refrigerator is almost 2 years old and we live here now. My husband opened the icemaker door to see why we dont have ice. There was a wire in there. We called the local Whirlpool authorized service man and he said the wire is not hanging down to connect it. He tried to channel a new wire and said it must be crooked in there, he cant get through the insulation (no channel). He asked us if anyone had ever worked on it. We bought it brand new. Home Depot delivered, unboxed and set up. He said we need a new door. Whirlpool will not stand behind this! I am so disappointed! I thought I was doing the right thing. Good name, made in the USA. Please read if youre thinking about buying from Whirlpool - the Whirlpool front loading washing machine. Hmm, where do I start? Oh yeah, its a colossal piece of garbage. Four years ago my wife and I went shopping for a washer and dryer. We looked at quite a few and then we came across the Whirlpool front loading washer. Ah, the wave of the future. The end all solution to your washing needs. The best the market has to offer and at over $1,100, they should be. The salesman completely sold us on why we should spend a little extra for such a superior product. I thought, I work hard. I dont make a ton of money, but this sounds like a long term, worthwhile investment. Wrap it up, the washer and dryer combo. Fast forward 4 years later. Whats that awful clunking sound the washer is making? Oh, its the drum. Maybe its off center. I opened it up to find that the spider arm is broken. Isnt it only 4 years old? Surely they (Whirlpool) will fix this at no charge to the consumer because as I was told 4 years ago, this is the best technology. Now mind you, its just my wife and me. She doesnt have to do laundry for 50 people or even 4 for that matter. Calling Whirlpool (ring, ring, ring. Hello, this is Whirlpool), I explained to them what the problem is and that we have only had this magnificent piece of gold for 4 years. What can you do for me? The front loading washing machine is a horrible product that should be pulled off the market and never be sold again. My experience with this company will never happen again because I will never ever buy another one of their products. So please, before you think about giving them your business by buying a front loading washing machine, think again. And remember this - I now have a $1,100 paperweight.

My Whirlpool Cabrio WTW5550xw0 has had many problems. It started with the lid lock error, replaced it, lasted about 2 weeks, and got another one. I did the diagnostic test that pointed me to the actuator, replaced it. It worked for 2 weeks, got another one, and then another one. I was getting a bad reading from the control panel, replaced it, and that worked for a while. I found out that the actuator had a little water drops on it. I figured that it must be the tub seal, so I replaced it. That lasted about a week and a half, and it started dripping again. Now, I figured it is that the transmission has bad bearings, that causes my tub seal to leak, that causes water drips to go onto my actuator, causing a failure in that, which can give me all kinds of bad readings on the diagnostic test. I have replaced at least half the cost of the original purchase price on a year and a half old washer. I also bought my son a Whirlpool Cabrio washer a few months before I bought mine, and he hasnt had a single problem.

Yesterday I purchased this Whirlpool top load washer model WTW4816FW with agitator and we installed it at our vacation home and I started a small load to wash. Yikes, it made noises like a machine that is on its last legs. I knew from washing clothes for 40 years that this is NOT right. We, hubby and I waited and listened to this piece of junk to finish the cycle. Thank god I had set it for a short wash. We also videoed this contraption while it was grinding. I called Lowes and politely told them I was returning it. Thankfully they never had a problem with us bringing it back. (This must happen often.) I go back to the appliance department and decide on a Maytag. I noticed that it looked like the junk we just returned. I stood there and looked up the model number online and lo and behold there was a video of it doing exactly the same noise. It was virtually the same machine I just returned with just a name change. Needless to say we left the store washerless until I can research this further. I then found out that Whirlpool now owns Maytag. Thing is I just bought a front loader Maytag for my main home and it works good. It was a replacement for a Whirlpool without a agitator which worked well too. The YouTube videos seem to be washers with agitators doing this. I just wish I could post the video for all to hear. I guess we are all at the mercy of big companies who dont care if they make a good product as long as they can make it cheap.

8 cu. ft. Cabrio® High-Efficiency Top Load Washer with Steam - I bought a new washer. It did a poor job rinsing and spinning dry. Whirlpool customer threatened me that a service charge may be charge if the repairman came out and found nothing wrong. After calling three times I ordered a repairman out. The repairman explained that only way to prevent soap residue on your clean clothes is to use the bulky and deep water options. Also dont use high spin or when it spins your clothes dry, it leaves them in a tangled mess that requires ironing to remove the wrinkles. This washer is not ready for the market and must be removed until they can perfect it. It cost me $200 to return and exchange this model for the Front Load Duet, which works excellent. Whirlpool should be ashamed to have ever put this machine on the market.

I purchased this washer 4.5 years ago. I have always been a Whirlpool customer. My parents had Whirlpool washer and dryer while I was growing up in the 60s. When I got married in 1976 I bought a Whirlpool washer, dryer and refrigerator. They lasted 19 years!!! Then I replaced all 3 in 1995. Again, lasted 16 years. I gave the washer and dryer to my sons when they moved out--its still working.So I thought I would reward myself with a new Whirlpool washer and dryer in August 2011. I didnt know about the pitfalls with the high efficiency washers. The dryer is great, but I HATE my washer! The lid lock is ridiculous, we should be given an option to override it. The sensing takes forever. The low water level leaves clothes unclean, and with detergent residue, causing the need for another rinse cycle. This saves no water if you have to run it twice. Not to mention how long it takes to do a load. Then it doesnt spin all the water out and you have to run a spin cycle. It aggravates me every time I do laundry. After being a Whirlpool customer for over 35 years, its time to move on. I just ordered a GE machine that is old school, no sensors, no lid lock, and I can control the level of water. Whirlpool doesnt make these simple machines anymore. Youre going to lose a lot of customers if you keep selling the trash. This is the worse washer I have ever had. My adult son went into a rage last night trying to use it, he forced the lid open and broke the lock, and of course it wont work at all without the lock. Good thing I ordered the GE washer the day before, it will be here in a few days. Cant wait to bash the Whirlpool with a sledge hammer, it will give us great satisfaction! Are you listening Whirlpool? Your designers need to go back to the drawing board. I realize this is not just a Whirlpool problem. Ive seen complaints about kenmore and every other manufacturer that makes these stupid low water sensing machines with lock lids. If consumers are too stupid to keep their kids out of the washing machine, maybe they should have their kids taken away.

Bought the dishwasher 3 years ago and now its not worth anything as its pump gave away. Cost to replace the pump is $200 or more so it doesnt make sense to do that since you can get a new one for $300-$400. Everyone I talk to say they are not building these as they use to and they give out in 2-3 years. I am very unhappy with this dishwasher.

My whirlpool refrigerator relay switch caught on fire and customer service told me that my model wasnt on their list of problems refrigerators, but they know there are a lot of units out with the chance that it could start a fire if anyone has a whirlpool product refrigerator. I would call 1-888-923-8502 and check to see if it is on there list to replace the switch.

We bought our dishwasher April 2018. This morning I noticed the paint had bubbled above the heat vent (area 3x 1/2). Upon closer inspection, the the paint was also peeling. We called the company to see if they would replace the skin but the agent said the only thing they could do was send us touch-up paint. The door is considered cosmetic & only covered for 30 days. If we wanted to replace the door panel, we were welcome to buy one from them. However as this seems to be a manufacturing defect, we would be replacing the door every 16 months. When we realized whirlpool wouldnt back their product, my husband looked a little closer to see what needed to be done & found that it had rusted under the paint & painting on top of rust will adhere properly.

Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine is less than five years old. First repair was replacement of control panel (under warranty). Second, third and fourth attempts to fix the out-of-balance problem which continually caused the machine to shut down altogether (even a small load) left my repairman totally frustrated after replacing most of the parts, finally telling me it just cant be fixed! What? I paid over $1,000 for this machine in Oct. 2007 and expected it to last many, many years. My mother-in-law has a washing machine she bought used in 1979 and it is still working beautifully. Ive read the 14 pages of complaints on the Consumer Affairs website and agree with Diana in Kissimmee, Fl - I am sick to my stomach not only for Whirlpool not recalling the Cabrio, but for Lowes and Sears and any other supposedly family-friendly business for continuing to sell it! This Whirlpool dishwasher is the worst dishwasher I have had in 45 years of using dishwashers. I have bought dishwashers, but now rent and so am stuck with this one. Initially, I complained to the landlord about the dishwasher not getting the dishes clean, so the repairman came and recommend replacement. Unfortunately, it was replaced with the same brand. The new one didnt wash any better than the old one so I pre-rinsed everything and the dishes still come out with sprayed dried food on them. The spray holes in the arms fill with food no matter how thoroughly I rinse the dishes. The silverware in the door rarely is clean. The filter is always coated with food particles. The top shelf is always worse than the bottom shelf. I have used inexpensive GEs before and nothing compares to the poor quality of the whirlpool.

From the time I had the Cabrio top load washer, it has been repaired at least 8 times. I did get the extended 2-year warranty. I should have known that this machine was going to give me problems from the first service call. I have had to have the motor replaced 4 out of the 8 times the machine has been serviced due to coins getting into the motor. I have a problem with rust around the dispenser. I also feel that the clothes get very tangled when washing. The machine is just 5 years old. This time when I called for repair with A&E appliance repair, they told me that it was going to be $450.00 to repair. Now, I am not going to repair it, especially after having all the problems I have had with it. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product or any of their other products that they make. I did call Whirlpool just to let them know my problem and to let them know that there have been hundreds of complaints with the same washer that I have. It’s too bad that Whirlpool has no respect, passion or pride in what they make. I am going to purchase a new washer and it will not be anything related to Whirlpool.

My 1 year old Whirlpool top loader is an absolute nightmare. It does not complete cycles. Stops all the time with various error codes. My washing comes out soaking wet. The pipes on the inside comes loose and floods the house. The machine stops all the time with all the washing clogged on one side of the drum. It is a 16 kg capacity machine but you cannot even think of putting 8 kg laundry in there. I will never, ever buy any Whirlpool product again. Cheap scrap! Thats what it is.

We purchased a Whirlpool Duet Front Loading Washer and Dryer. The control panel on the washer went out in March. We called for a repair. The repairman came, told us we needed to replace the control panel and he would order it. My American Express was charged $389.91 on March 26th. I called today, April 9, asking about where the part was and when my machine would be repaired. I was told the part would not be available until July 11, 2013. I cannot believe that a company would expect a customer to wait nearly four months for a part as well as charge them for the parts and labor four months ahead of the part. When I called, I was first told that there were 15 parts in stock, but then was told that there were not any available to me. I have cancelled the service but it will take them three weeks to credit my card back for the part.

Am posting in regards to a brand new dishwasher that I purchased the first part of February 2020 from Menards. The dishwasher I bought is Model # WDT730PAHB and Serial # F94519386. I had the dishwasher 10 days and it stopped working after running only two times. I checked the breaker box and all electrical connections to the machine and it was getting electricity, but would not turn on at all. I called the store to return it and they only have a 7 day return policy. Since then Whirlpool has been contacted and I have had two service calls from Whirlpool. The mother board has been replaced (which I waited two weeks for the part & five hours for a service man) and still it will not come on. Now I am waiting on a wire harness, ordered on March 4th or 5th and still not here. I completely understand wanting to fix a broken machine, however this was a new dishwasher that only worked for 2 washes. I have now been without a dishwasher for almost 2 months, which in light if our current world situation isnt a huge deal, however this is a time when sanitation is very important. I feel like Whirlpool should offer to replace my new machine with a new machine and not something that is refurbished. At this point it is costing more to repair this machine than to just replace it. Whirlpool anode rod went bad in 2 months. Called Whirlpool, would not stand behind warranty. Had previous hot water tank (not a Whirlpool) in for 10 years with same well and water conditions. Also noticed Whirlpool hot water tank is not nearly as efficient on energy use. Overall, this is a very poor water heater and even worse customer service to not replace a part that was under warranty.

The agitation is too loud. I called Whirlpool customer service and said I wanted to return the washing machine because it was so noisy. Whirlpool customer service agreed that it was noisy and said they would send a technician out. Whirlpool customer service never told me the technician they were sending would cost me 25% of the washing machine cost. The technician said this is normal all machines are this loud. Now I am out the cost of the washing machine plus the cost of the technician and all I have is a very noisy washing machine. Im a real satisfied customer. The machine was bought 12 days ago.

Ive had trouble with my washing machine since the end of May 2011. I have had over 5 service/repair calls which still resulted with the same problem. By the way, I do have a warranty on this product (which hasnt seem to have helped at all). I have never had such poor customer service in my life as I have had from Sears and can assure you, I will never buy another product from Sears or Whirlpool considering the experience I have had. I have missed numerous days at work only to wait for a repair appointment that never happened. Needless to say, I am very disappointed and would not recommend anyone to buy from Sears or Whirlpool.

Cleans average compared to previous dishwashers. Does not dry well even on high heat dry. Cycle takes about two hours and I have to run it during the day because it is too loud. The price was good, but I wish I would have bought a little higher grade.

I am so disappointed with this washer. I totally dread doing laundry. The following are the complaints: Every load comes out totally twisted and wrinkled!! The soap/fabric dispenser holds water after each load (I have to take paper towels and get the dispenser empty!!!). There is not enough water to properly clean the clothes. I have never noticed a reduction in my water bill and have had this piece of junk since 4-25-13. There is NO short cycle on this junk machine. There is an odor to my towels - like they are musty - after I dry them and use them. I use Tide HE detergent and clean the washer with Affresh (you shouldnt have to clean a washer). I should have taken the time to write a review much sooner, but decided today was the day after doing laundry. DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER.

Purchased a GGE388LXS04 electric range in June of 2013 from Lowes. In September 2013 one of the top burners went out, under warranty Whirlpool repaired the burner. Now after attempting to use the self cleaning mode for the oven, the ovens (top and bottom) along with warmer device do not work at all. This issue is evidently a major issue with Whirlpools electric ovens. Will call Whirlpool tomorrow as the oven is still under warranty, will also call Lowes and see if they will replace the oven with an oven with a comparable brand. Wish I had read this site before we purchased this oven. A very bad experience.

I purchased a WhirlPool dishwasher in 2016. The primary motor had to be replaced in 2018. WP paid for the part; however, I had to cover the labor, which was expensive. In 2019 the drying element broke. Again, WP will replace the part but leave me to cover the labor. Ive decided to purchase a new dishwasher (none of the Whirlpool brands) with a 5 year warranty. I was excited to have an energy efficient washing machine and chose the Whirlpool Cabrio top loader. I truly wish I had read reviews rather than trust the salespersons advice. It does not clean clothes properly at all. They come out smelling dirty and are covered in white goo, even when the machine has just been cleaned. Stains never come out despite all of my efforts. Now I have water leaking out of the bottom as it fills. Not impressed at all. What a giant waste of money.

After Hurricane Katrina, six years ago, the gas water heater in my house had to be replaced due to the house getting flooded. For the past six years, the pilot light and/or igniter for the gas water heater has had to be replaced if not once a year, twice a year because it will not stay lit. Each time, Whirlpool would send a new igniter and/or pilot light part and would reimburse me the cost of labor to have the part(s) replaced.Now, after six years and exhausted of fighting with Whirlpool to stand behind their product and make it right, they are finally giving me an authorization to get a new gas water heater. However, now they are telling me they will not cover the cost of labor for replacing the entire water heater. My plumber will have to pull the defective water heater out of my house, take it to Lowes, pick up the new water heater and install it in my home. And Im supposed to accept their not paying for the labor of replacing their faulty water heater? I questioned this and told Whirlpool they paid for labor for the parts to be replaced for the past six years. Whirlpool then said they would pay up to $100. This is not acceptable. I was reimbursed more than $100 for the labor to replace a part that fits in a shoe box. (Multiply $100+ times 6. They paid more than $600 over the past six years.) The cost to replace an entire water heater, picking it up from the store included, will cost more than $200, if not $300! I would not have to pay anything if the Whirlpool product was not defective!I told the manager I was speaking with at Whirlpool I wanted to speak with his boss or someone who had more authority than he did. He refused. I asked him, Was he telling me no I could not speak with someone above him? He finally said he would have someone call me.I believe I should be reimbursed for the entire amount of labor to replace the water heater since the water heater is a defective product and I have to have it replaced not by my choice but out of necessity and safety. If it is defective in one area, who is to say in trying to light the pilot light, one day it will not do something worse than just not light up. What if it decides to explode? Defective is defective and I feel my family is in danger from a defective product and it should be replaced at the cost of Whirlpool not mine.

Whirlpool Cabrio - 6 Big Problems: I dont write bad reviews on anything but in this case, I feel I have to warn potential buyers. Ive owned this washer for more than 4 years. Here are the problems: 1) This washer TEARS HOLES in my towels; 2) It SHREDS some clothes; 3) Loads are UNBALANCED every time I use it, regardless of load type or size; 4) Very LOUD when running. My neighbors can hear it and they are 150 feet behind us. It sounds like someone is pounding on the walls of my house. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! I havent seen it, but I believe it might actually be jumping off the floor; 5) Its NOT High Capacity as advertised. Sure, the drum is big, but you cant put much more than a tiny load in it. If you try a larger load, the clothes dont get cleaned; and 6) Whirlpool wont do a darn thing about it. They dont care about the buyer or their own reputation.Our family grew and I thought we needed a larger washer. I foolishly replaced a ten-year old, $300 standard top-loading GE washer that never had a problem, with this expensive **. The GE had a drum that was about 1/2 the size and it washed MORE clothes! The GE never damaged any clothes and it wasnt ridiculously loud like this one. I regret ever buying this expensive washer and I will never again buy a Whirlpool product.

I was under the impression Whirlpool washers were good. Mine always goes off balance and quits. I carefully redistribute the load several times to get it to finish (start over). Sometimes it works fine from the get-go, but not often enough. It is now 2 years old and if I were wealthy, Id shove it to the curb. There is little to like with an appliance that often must be adjusted and re-started. I will try Samsung next. It seems that American brands are not reliable. I have no special needs and will consider reliability above all. The name Whirlpool would be a deal breaker for me. I cannot abide my Whirlpool washing machine as it is more of an aggravation than something useful. Stay away from Whirlpool washing machines. They (at least mine) require the load to be balanced to a microgram. Appliances should just work and not require fiddling with.

We purchased an over-the-stove Whirlpool microwave in January 2011, when we remodeled our kitchen. In May 2014 after a loud pop, the microwave stopped working. This was Model # GMH6185XVS-1. Of course, the warranty is no longer in effect. I feel a high-end appliance that cost $500 should last longer than 3 years. I will not purchase another Whirlpool product.

We bought the Whirlpool top loader washer and the drum broke down and after several attempted fixes it was replaced by new one as we were being financed through a business. So here comes the new one - same exact washer. Not only did it not clean well (normal soiling) then it goes to ul which means not balanced... not because clothes arent but because the thing that balances - it went only after a yr!! It would also keep filling draining again to no drain leaving clothes SOPPING wet... So very disappointed to say the least. What a piece of junk this washer is!! Its going to the curb tonight and being replaced by GE - NO MORE WHIRLPOOL AGAIN !!

We bought our Whirlpool refrigerator model # WRT318FZDB02 July of 2019. We liked it very much. The beginning of January 2022 we started having issues with things freezing. A few days later nothing got cold. The appliance technician that checked it out said our seals on the compressor were bad and needed a new one. He told us we were better off buying a new refrigerator. I contacted Whirlpool support and they told me the same thing. Our previous refrigerator lasted over 30 years!! I would think Whirlpool would make their refrigerators last longer than 2 1/2 years!!

Our home is only 8 years old. Our neighbors and double ovens have all gone out! I mean it just quit working and the parts and repairs are crazy expensive! We have already spent $400 on a control board and now we need a control panel which is another $300! Its ridiculous spending $700 on repair of an oven that should have lasted a lot longer! Another thing is that our ovens are white and now the panels only come in black! I will never ever buy Whirlpool appliances again and I am spreading the word to everyone I know!

I bought a counter-depth French door refrigerator for our new build. I had to wait 6 months for delivery since it was on backorder. When it arrived a door was bent. Lowes replaced it with a door that had a leaky ice maker. Ice and puddles of water intermittently appear on our new wood floor. Whirlpools technician told us WE would be charged if they couldnt find the problem. Whirlpool rep confirmed. Also the manufacturer warranty began at purchase date instead of delivery date.

This washer is going back. It simply will not spin the water out of the clothes. It says it gets clothes drier than a conventional washer, but I have not found that to be true. I have to use the drain/spin cycle over and over and still the clothes are wet. I had the repair crew out and they were able to get it to spin out a very small load consisting of two sheets and two towels. Other than that, it does not spin out water. It is also very difficult to load if you attempt to leave the center open as they recommend. The cycles are very long. Not being able to look inside without pausing it and waiting for it to unlock is also a huge hassle. I am getting one with a glass top so I can see what is going on. If you leave it open for too long, it cancels the cycle and drains all the water, and you have to start over which is another problem because all your detergent just got drained out before the load gets going. It uses so little water on most of the cycles that the clothes get totally tangled up with one another. I think you should be able to choose the water level manually. I am all for saving water but if I want more water from time to time, this does not allow you to do that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Whirlpool Hot Water Tank Thermocouple - This is the third thermocouple we have had to replace on this hot water tank in the last six years. Granted the part isnt that expensive, but the service call and replacement have cost us dearly. This is faulty tank and Whirlpool needs to recall this tank and replace them with new tanks. The price of this original tank and replacing this thermocouple three times has cost us over $800.00 total. I am not sure angry is the right word to describe our dissatisfaction with Whirlpool.

We bought a Whirlpool washing machine, and what a mistake! I just got off the phone with their customer we dont care department. It spins everything into a tight ball so when the clothes come out of the washing machine everything needs ironed, even permanent press. It also changes the water temperature. I like to wash some clothes in cold water, but the representative at Whirlpool told me it will sometimes add hot water to make the water warm. I am hoping this review will save others from purchasing a Whirlpool washing machine. We will stay clear of all of Whirlpool appliances due to the problem with this washer and Whirlpools lack of concern of an inferior product!

Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator December 2011, it is now 3 yrs. old, keeps shutting itself off. There is nothing under the troubleshooting area of the instructions for this. I called Whirlpool, they said I have to pay a tech to come here and troubleshoot. The warranty is 1 years, so after paying over 1k for an appliance, that gets you 1 year! I try to support American made, but no more Whirlpools here! I have all Whirlpool appliances, but Im guessing they wont last either. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service.

Purchased this simple 30 wide fridge July 2017 to fit a short kitchen slot. It worked adequately, but it only had 3 temp settings. The highest setting was too warm and coldest froze food in the fridge within days. The middle setting was a little cold but the best option. Food in the back did occasionally freeze and we had to be careful for vegetables in the drawer freezing. Often we wrapped lettuce and more fragile veggies in towels to absorb moisture and slow down freezing. Two years after buying - almost to the day - the fridge stopped cooling below 45F. The freezer still worked, so I thought it might be fixable. I tried some DIY repairs from a couple of websites but nothing worked. Within a week, the fridge temps were up to 50-55F. I gave up on buying ice and keeping food in coolers. I bought a GE and havent looked back.

I have purchased a Whirlpool microwave oven last year (October). It is not working properly now & not heating well. Regarding this I have registered a complaint in the service center & Customer Care but we have not received any reply for this.

I am writing due to the defects and flaws in my recently purchased appliances. I chose Whirlpool believing I was buying the highest quality for longevity purposes. Every appliance I own is Whirlpool or Maytag - same company. I purchased warranties and was told the warranties dont cover my issues and was basically brushed off. I am infuriated. Here is a list of complaints. Refrigerator is cracking on the inside on the inner door and at the bottom. These cracks surfaced within the first year of purchase. The warranty does not cover cracks in the inner body.The oven/range has an exhaust that bellows out of the top of the range in a way that the smoke curls up onto the panel and discolors it. I have never had an oven constructed with an exhaust pipe in the front that pours smoke onto the range itself and into your house. The dishwasher paint has rusted off on the door as have the screws on the inside of the door. The cover panel on the cleaning dispenser of the washer has popped off and cannot be popped back on, hence the guts of the dispenser are always visible and when I go to load the cleansers the front has to pulled out from inside the dispense.The refrigerator is also leaking from the bottom and the ice-maker no longer produces ice. This started off and on for the past 2 years. At first I thought the leak was from a near by window. No it is the refrigerator. All of these appliances were purchased in 2013, 14 and 15. New. I am 56. I have never had issues like this ever in my life growing up or as an adult. Appliances lasted forever. I am one person. How much damage could I do? None.These are flaws in chemical compounding of the paints and materials for cracks and rust. Whirlpool was called various times and was not interested in sending a rep to verify my claims. They said all of my warranties did not cover such issues only motors. Lots of many spent in vain. I will not purchase Whirlpool again as they seem disinterested in customer satisfaction.

I had to re-arrange my kitchen and have my slider doors moved over a foot to accommodate this monstrosity. After about 2 years the icemaker and water dispenser died - had to shove a facecloth in it to keep it from making noise. The white color is very hard to keep clean. Overall, I would not recommend a Whirlpool brand refrigerator.

Mtf18 defective refrigerator - The unit is 2 yrs old and about 6 months prior to 2014 I could not keep ice in the refrigerators ice (freezer) and the appliance compressor ran 24 hrs. a day without recycling or stop. I did not purchase an extended warranty, after all, Maytag the dependable company. The lonely Maytag repairman. Right!! The unit cost $$700. and is now an anchor. You cannot repair the compressor, only replace it...

I have Whirlpool gas range, model # WFG361LVS1. The igniter went out after only one and a half years of light use (4-5 times a week). I did not buy the extended warranty, so part is not covered. I only asked that they send me the part for free. I talked to a supervisor at Whirlpool (Dave). He said I should have bought the extended warranty. He said he could not help me. He was also very rude. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

Purchased side-by-side 3 weeks ago. There are 2 adults and 1 kid in my household and the ice maker in the unit does not put out enough ice to handle our small demand, though this was never an issue with the 14 year old Whirlpool that this one replaced! We are using ice trays to supplement what ice the ice maker puts out but the ice trays take up valuable freezer space. Their service reps have inspected it and tell me that it is performing per the specs and when I ask for what the remedy is, there is none... ie. too bad, so sad!! I am apparently on my own with a brand new refrigerator with an ice maker that wont perform up to minimum expectations!

Absolutely the worst hot water heater I have ever owned. Broke within first year which Whirlpool sent me a replacement valve assy which I had to install myself. That one failed in 3 month and unit was out of warranty so I received no help from Whirlpool. Had a serviceman fix it again and it failed again. So I ended trashing the unit. I would not buy another Whirlpool product as long as I live. The last 5 appliances I purchased from Whirlpool all failed within a few months after warranty expired. This is no joke. Everything they sell is farmed out to other countries than the US and the workmanship and quality is the worst I have ever seen. The service people are nice when they tell you that they cant help you with your problem. Dont waste another dime on Whirlpool! Very bad product.

I purchased a Whirlpool Dishwasher, model DU1010XTXB1, 13 months ago and now it wont drain nor come on. Interestingly enough, the company claims no fault and wants to charge $129 just to diagnose it. This product has never worked properly, happens to have recalls for the exact same model number, yet wont acknowledge or expand its serial # coverage despite that it is the same exact problems! Do not buy from Whirlpool!

I had my Whirlpool front load washer stop working all together. Well the pump went out it filled up with water and shorted out the circuit board/control panel. Was going to cost more to repair it than to just go get a new one. I will never get a whirlpool ever again.

The washer and dryer leaves the clothes heavy and wet, the balancing does not work, therefore the spin cycle just bangs against the machine, I tried emailing the support but no response, can somebody reach out.

It knotted my clothes up and twisted them to the point that clothes are so badly out of shape, hems are pulled out and some clothing torn. We no longer use the washer. Also, a very bad film all over our clothing. I have just tonight contacted the Whirlpool company as I have made numerous complaints to the business where I bought it to no avail. The day after buying and using once, the store sent a repairman out and he said use it on delicate. I have done that with the same results. I bought my washer in December of 2011. I am hoping Whirlpool contacts me. If not, we can contact the state attorney generals office, Consumer Affairs and our main TV station to make complaints. I do not have photos as I did not know I would need them. I am giving Whirlpool a chance to respond in hopes that a remedy is available. Maybe as simple as replacing the agitation device.

Purchased a Gold Series Whirlpool dishwasher, Mo. No. WDT720PADW2, From Maruszcak in Schererville, In. on 1-29-16. Approximately a year later door was replaced by Whirlpool because of paint problem due to faulty design. Replaced door is now peeling and rusting by exhaust vent also. Contacted Whirlpool and they will do nothing more. They said it was a favor the first time they replaced the door. They feel this is a cosmetic problem! I paid a total of $675.03, Their repairman would charge a $100.00 to look at it and another $235.00 for a new door. I feel this is a design problem and they should replace it with a new model, a refund would be better. Very unlikey, because Whirlpool does not stand behind their products. The line also includes Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana and Hot Point. Besides this I have found plastic pieces that have fallen off! I had to use plastic ties to keep them in place. Dishwasher does not clean well. Have to rinse everything first. Products are bad, stay away from them!

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator in December 2017. Since July 19 we have had the same problem with the refrigerator three times. The technicians don’t know how to fix it and Whirlpool refuses to replace it. The customer service rep was ignorant on the phone and could care less about a problem. Even though there is a lemon law they refuse to replace the refrigerator. We have to defrost the refrigerator every 2 to 3 weeks so will cool down again. Whirlpool is the worst company we have ever dealt with customer service wise. Lowes will not do anything about it because it’s within the first year.

Whirlpool Gold with bottom freezer, had it for about eight years and no problems. Great seal and great storage space. Also plenty of space in the freezer. We are a family of four. It is extremely quiet. There is flexibility as to how to mount the shelves and they are easy to clean. I have never had any spoilage.

I purchased the fridge 2nd hand in 2013. It was 10 years old at the time. It is still going strong & I purchased it because it has a frost-free freezer that never needs de-frosting and I love the features & size - its the PERFECT FRIDGE. What I look for in a fridge is its colour - I like metal, steel grey colour. I go for reputation & quality. Frost free is the biggest factor that determines my purchases, long-term (10-year min.) warranty & guarantee, size.

I bought a French door Whirlpool refrigerator. It is very pretty. But you always got to double-check to make sure the freezer door is closed. Almost all my house guests leave it slightly cracked because it does not close conveniently like other refrigerators. Water freezes up all over the freezer. It even freezes the fan inside to where it starts making loud noises. I got a chip ice out of this freezer almost every day. I even had to defrost it completely to get the fans to start working properly.

The trim on the front the my Whirlpool electric range has rubbed off. This is where the knobs for the burners are located. It was replaced once during the Whirlpool 1 year warranty (so it obviously happened with the first year!) and again during the second year we have had it. We have an extended warranty but have been told that it is not covered. It is ecstatically unacceptable. We have not used any type of harsh cleansers on it - simply a sponge to remove any spills yet it keeps on disappearing. I strongly recommend against buying any range from Whirlpool as it is quite obvious that they do not stand behind their products beyond the first year.

We bought a travel trailer and it has a refrigerator with an ice maker in it and weve only used for 6 months out of the last year. The fridge is already broken (doesnt cool). They promised they would fix it even though we were out of warranty (by 7 days). That was 2 weeks ago. Theyve had one person come out and look at it, that couldnt fix it and now theyre claiming that they never told me that they would fix it and they will only cover up to $100 for someone to come fix it but I have to find the person because they couldnt find anybody. I asked them that if this was a fridge in the house how would they go about fixing it and they said it was the same process. How do you expect somebody to go out without a fridge for two-plus weeks?So many people told us not to buy the Camper because it had a Whirlpool in it but we didnt listen and we are regretting that now. The worst part is that after 48 hours we were promised they would replace the fridge if they couldnt get anybody to come out and fix it because they already okayed for the warranty to be used. But now the lady didnt put it in the notes which her name is Terry. We cant get a new one and we are waiting for a supervisor to call us back which probably wont even happen!!!

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator at Lowes after my 16-month-old $4000 Samsung died and Samsung didnt care. I thought I was purchasing a better product. Six months old and the Whirlpool died. Service tech came out, said he had to order parts. That was on 1/21/2020. It is now 3/5/2020 and I still have no refrigerator. After being told week after week after week that I had to wait for parts, 3 weeks ago they finally approved a replacement refrigerator. STILL WAITING FOR THAT. Have completely lost confidence in Whirlpool and would not recommend the brand to anyone. Lousy customer service and lousy product. So disappointed. No reimbursement offer for lost food, weeks of having to purchase take out, gas to store daily... HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Refrigerator ice maker quit working. This is replacement fridge for first refrigerator that quit working same model. This one has electrical burn marks inside behind a panel. Whirlpool says this is normal. How can burn marks inside a refrigerator be normal. If house or fridge catch on fire will be suing Whirlpool. Ice maker and water valve replaced. Still not working. Maybe it has to do with the burn marks.
