This washer started out to be good. Its only 5 yrs old. We began to smell an odor. Went to Lowes, spoke with someone in appliance dept. Purchased something for washer. DID NOT WORK. We have tried bleach everything. Our clothes smell. I have skin rashes and I think it is related to mold and mildew. Called the service center. They said could be a sock stuck around the tub area. They need to recall this washer. We spent a lot of money and it has ruined everything. Cannot get the odor out. We cannot afford another one. There is black mold around the rubber lining when you open up the door.

Its now Nov 8 and Ive been officially dealing with this issue since Sept 26. This washer was installed in a new home. After less than 10 loads, my washer stopped draining and I was left with a load of towel soup for over a week while waiting for a service call. I still have the same defective non functioning washer sitting in my home and have been unable to do laundry at home in all that time. So far Ive spoken with 2 customer service representatives. The first was incapable of scheduling a service call. She clearly did not understand how to operate the database used for scheduling. I was finally able to schedule appointment on my own but had to wait a week before the technician was able to come by. It was determined that either the latch mechanism or the mother board or both are defective from the factory.The second was just plain dismissive and completely unhelpful. I sat on hold for about an hour each time before getting to speak to a person. Ive also received two canned emails in response to my poor review of this washer on the Whirlpool website. They basically blame COVID for the delays and state the parts delivery should take 3-4 weeks. I was originally told 14 working days for delivery of the parts. We are already past both deadline with no end in sight. At this point, Id like the defective washer replaced rather than repaired. And for the record, this was a new washer (less that one month old) installed in a new house that now stinks to high heaven because slimy, scummy water that will not drain out has been there since September 26. Id really just like for someone at Whirlpool to honestly care about this and take a moment to address this issue.

On 11-29-2014 we were washing our laundry and our whirlpool washing machine started making a really loud noise so I went to investigate the problem. I open the bottom part of the washer to find out that the whole cement block to balance the drum was on the floor of the washer so I called the 1800 number on the machine and no one at whirlpool corporation wanted to even help. No one said sorry. No one said Let me see if I can help. No one. Every one I talked to they cant help at all. No one apologized once about the poor product that whirlpool sells and the defect that their products has. My washer is one year and one month old. So I can say truly with confidence that whirlpool product are the worst in the world plus their customer service even more. It is very sad after we paid all kind of money for our washer now I have to buy another one after one year and one month. Very bad customer service.

Why does your AquaLift self-clean feature not work? Tried numerous times & have been scrubbing all afternoon... Horrible!!! My last oven (Maytag) self-cleaning feature worked awesome, just had to vacuum out ashes & wipe down with regular soap & water. Have no idea what to do to get this oven cleaned!!! Very frustrated...

This machine does not clean the clothes well, keeps an odor even after using Clorox (probably due to water inside that never leaves), and does not spin the clothes well. Every washing is longer than traditional washers and then I must use the spin-only cycle twice (adding another 30 minutes). I must also shake the inside of the tub to get the spin to work at all. The tech came out and re-calibrated, but to no advantage. Terrible machine and should be, as one viewer said, under recall, in my opinion. NOT WORTH THE MONEY -- and I am very disappointed in Whirlpool.

Bought on 9/11/2014 and installed by Lowes installers on the 15th. It quit heating two days later. Called Lowes and they said I would have to call Whirlpool. I did. WP had me metering with a multi-meter until found OTC button was tripped. Then they suggested I troubleshoot the elements and sent me a video. I called Lowes and they said they would replace. Later they called back and said WP would not give them a RA number and for me to call them. I did and the rep after much arguing directed me to call their factory authorized service, A & E. I did and they said it would be 33 days before they could come out. I hung up and called Lowes who called back later and wanted me to call WP again. This time they said they did not have a repair service close enough to come, but I could try buying the lower heating element and replacing it to see if that worked. I said no, the heater was brand new and they needed to fix it. Their next solution was have me contact a local plumber and arrange to troubleshoot, me pay the plumber and then send them the bill. They would reimburse me up to $100.00. Not acceptable and now the button has to be reset every few hours and the water gets scalding hot while it is heating. I am old school & do not like the idea that I cannot open my machine without waiting until it slows to a stop before door will unlock. You do not know what level your water is unless opening door. You are not able to open door & see if you need more detergent. Water softener is the same -- do I need more/less, cant tell. But, the washer performs well & clothes are clean, even dirty jeans/work clothes.

We purchased our Whirlpool Refrigerator #WRT519SZDB from the Home Depot 2 years and 10 Months ago. About three weeks ago it started to freeze items in the frig section. We lowered the frig section cooling level one selection and went on a two week vacation. When we came back, everything in the freezer section was thawed out. We had a tech look at it and he told us that the compressor was partly seized and overheating. Tried to reach someone at Whirlpool customer service by phone, email, and chat but so far, I have not had anyone contact Me back? Looks like repair will cost almost as much as a replacement refrigerator. So much for Whirlpool being a trusted brand!

LEDs on control panel started going out in four months. It’s a 400$ part. Under warranty but what’s going to happen in another four months? The range I had from the eighties was still working. You don’t get what you pay for anymore. Just excuses.

I bought my Cabrio washer 16 months ago to service a family of 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. Anything that has the slightest stain has to be pre-rinsed or pre-washed in the sink before going into the washer. Every load is an unbalanced load. Although the floor is perfectly level, the washer bucks and dances as though it is possessed. I never expected a $900 washer to be a piece of junk. I would love to be part of a class action lawsuit regarding this washer.

We bought a Whirlpool washer in 2010. It started making a loud noise on the rinse cycle in 2012. We called Whirlpool. They sent out a repairman from A and E Repair. Was told tub bearing shot, repair over $700.00. Contacted Whirlpool, was told machine out of warranty. After talking to them, they agreed to send parts if we paid labor. Machine lasted less than a year making the same sound again. A and E sent out same thing, bearing gone. Repair cost $997.17, charged us $136.74 service call after 2 minutes to shake the drum and saying same problem. Was told by Whirlpool, no warranty, tough luck.

I bought a new non-frost 14 cubic Whirlpool fridge Model # W4TXNWFWQ in 2013 from PC Richards. The freezer keeps getting busted. It actually produces a lot of frost which stops the entire fridge from running properly. The tech said this is a common problem with Whirlpool. I am lucky to have bought the 3 years warranty. But when I call to fix the problem it always takes them a few days and I have to miss work for this non-sense.

Whirlpool WMH53520CSO Microwave oven purchased Aug 2014 - The light and fan will not go off when door is shut and not being used. The microwave gets really hot and afraid it will start a fire. I now keep it unplugged and trying to troubleshoot the problem. Not sure if it is worth a repair. Paid $347 2 years ago.

I purchased the washer and dryer set. My complaint is with the washing machine top loader that does not have the tall agitator not getting the clothing clean. All of my clothing come out of the dryer with dirty spots on them where they did not come out in the wash. Its a waste of water and energy because I have to wash them twice! I purchased the combo model numbers WED7300DWO and WTW7300DW0.

I purchased this machine about a year ago and it is the biggest piece of garbage on the planet. The biggest problem is that it will not spin if the load is even slightly unbalanced. It does not clean the clothes. If you try to rebalance and spin the load, it adds more water and then gets stuck in a cycle where it drains and adds water forever. Do not buy one of these. I am finally surrendering and buying a different machine. A total waste of money.

Front load washer Whirlpool Model# WFW9400SW02, only had this machine for about five years and the main interface control board has gone bad. This part cost 1/2 as much as buying a new machine. My parents had the same washing machine for almost 30 years and no problems. Whats wrong with this picture?

Whirlpool WFE720H0AS0 - I tried to use the self cleaning oven feature and it cleaned the bottom of the stove but did nothing for the sides, back and door of stove. The top of the stove is impossible to keep clean. Maintaining this appliance is a full-time job. Very bad choice.

After less than 3 years it was the bearings, of course. Then, being handy and not stupid enough to pay the $500 for the whole piece of crap Whirlpool/Maytag tub, we bought bearings from the PartsDr. We just didnt dig deep enough to know that the strators on these things are made out of the cheapest Chinese plastic and are cracked in the SAME TWO PLACES EVERYONE ELSES IS!!! Imagine that? Will scrub my clothes in a river on rocks before I ever buy a Whirlpool/Maytag Chinese again. All front load seem to have the same problems but at least some other companies admit it and are trying to correct it. Will research and as with everything else stay away from the USA/Chinese rusty, corroded junk.

7 months ago we had a Whirlpool dishwasher installed into our home. While away on vacation the piece inside malfunctioned and caused major damage as water filled the home. Whirlpool claims, that because it’s a part that they contract out to another company, they “Whirlpool” are not responsible! If you purchase a product from Whirlpool and they put their name on that product, then Whirlpool should stand by its product. Well... beware, you’re not going to compensate from Whirlpool! We urge you, make sure of whom the parts of the product your buying from belong to, before you buy it FIRST! Never again!

I’ve always bought Whirlpool appliances. They last a very long time. My washer is an old Whirlpool Ultimate Care II I’ve had for several years. My dryer is Whirlpool MOD WED4800BQ. Both working great for many years. I just bought a Whirlpool Fridge MOD WRS588FIHB00. All are worth the money for long lasting appliances.

Weve had this washing machine only a few years, and our household of 2 probably averages 1 load of laundry per week. Weve always had the same problem everyone has with the detergent stains on clothing and having to rewash loads, and the only remedy weve found was using the oversized loads setting and rewashing a load. The last straw was 6 months ago. It quit going through a complete cycle and would not spin out without resetting it. Then it quit spinning out at all. Service Guard, a 3rd party warranty company, diagnosed a faulty motor and ordered a replacement. After a long delay Whirlpool advised it was back-ordered for 3 months. A week ago Whirlpool advised them it was now back-ordered until 5-27. They did not know whether wed ever obtain a replacement motor. After taking clothes to our sons house for a couple months to wash, we purchased another used machine to use until ours is repaired. It is beginning to appear that machine may be our permanent machine. This is a pretty sad testimonial about whirlpool. We have always used Whirlpool appliances but appears we may have to switch brands. And it certainly does appear these low water machines are garbage. Very disappointed in Whirlpool.

Why am I not surprised by this stupid American company? I purchased a brand new fridge in June this year and for the last 5 months I have had about 20 different technician visits by five different technicians who changed almost everything you could possibly imagine - evaporator, control, sensor, compressor, display, etc., etc. And the company still refused to take any responsibilities. They kept telling me that more inspection was needed EVEN AFTER all the technicians said there was NOTHING THEY COULD DO. After having to yell at them for about an hour, they finally realized they had to issue me a new fridge. What a piece of crap they are. Even then when I called back about the exchange, they pretended they could not find my file. WTF??? They really tried EVERYTHING they could not to issue an exchange. Wow. What an incredible company and its customer service. I will never, ever buy another American product - nothing complicated with computerized parts anyway. They are NOT capable of producing such complex machines. They should stick with toasters or juicers - lol. Stupid Americans. LG and Samsung all the way baby!!! ** you Whirlpool.

Washes great. Love the literal bells and whistles. Never has failed to give the family a very clean wash. Price was great and got the matching dryer too. I have heard prices have gone up but this washer is worth every penny.

I would like to invite everyone on here to join me in a moment of silence. My Cabrio has died after a little over 2 years of pure torture that I purchased for $1000 from Lowes. I have had nothing but problems since the day I bought this washer. I think Whirlpool needs to step up to the plate and take responsibility for the mistakes they have made. I will never purchase another product that is in anyway associated with the Whirlpool company. I wish I had my little washer that only needed a new switch back. I guess I am off to find a replacement for this $1000 mistake that I made. If I had the resources, I would file a lawsuit against Whirlpool myself.

Purchased I assumed a brand-new electric hot water heater from Lowes. It worked giving us hot water for 5 months then it quit. We called the number they have located on the side of the water heater and they sent 3 references such as plumbers for us to contact because everything they told us to purchase didnt work... so after their references, plumber came out. Instead of him telling us what was wrong why all of a sudden we stopped getting hot water he didnt return our phone call. As a professional that sucks!!! So WHIRLPOOL CUSTOMER SERVICE says the hot water heater that had been working for 5 months wasnt up to code and wasnt wired right and WE need to pay an electrician to connect it right... thats **. The electrician did it correct the first time. Whirlpool just dont want to accept the fact that their equipment is faulty!!! But thats good because I will NEVER purchase anything WHIRLPOOL makes. Bought this Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine 4 years ago not knowing it was a low level water washing machine. A man would have had to design this piece of crap. Not only does it not clean the clothes because the agitation on it is as slow as sloth. On top of that the clothes tie themselves in a knot when finished. If you don’t want the frustration of clothes washing, I would highly recommend you not buy this type, if you enjoy cussing then this machine is for you.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator model GSF26C5EXW02 from Lowes. It is a huge piece of crap that has had so many visits from the Royal Appliance guy, that we are now on a first name basis. Lowes was awesome and has actually replaced this junker twice at no cost to me and has, in fact, reimbursed me for all the food this fridge has ruined by freezing. The appliance repair guy cant seem to find a problem so I just keep getting ruined food because of this hunk of junk.

My washer worked less than a year. I finally called Whirlpool and they basically said, were a big company and you must for the rusty, broken drive shaft, pay for all new computer face plate, and service repair. I contacted the FTC and they told me they needed more complaints in order to make them do a recall on Cabrios. Good luck!

I suppose the idea was good - less water. However, when you are washing clothes, water and agitation are key. Without an agitator, clothes are just spun around with water and detergent. This washing machine (WTW4950XW2) couldnt clean any dirt off clothes. Clothes go in dirty. They come out damp, wrinkled, and dirty. I got this washing machine free from my father and am thinking I got ripped off. No wonder he gave it away. Piece of junk.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator January 2016. 4 months later the refrigerator stopped working. It took over a week for Whirlpool to have it repaired. Two weeks later the refrigerator stopped working again. It took four days for Whirlpool to get a repair man to my house. I called customer service 4x asking for a replacement or loaner or possibly they could expedite the repairs. All they could do was recite my warranty to me stating that they are only responsible for repairs. I was in touch with their executive office and was pretty much told tough patooties - my warranty only covers repair. The executive office told me to wait for a third breakdown and then we could talk about an exchange. WHAT??? I have to suffer a third inconvenience before Whirlpool will do anything??? I lost hundreds of dollars in food, have to live two weeks without refrigeration in 95 degree Florida weather, had to go shopping on a daily basis or eat fast food (at my expense) because I couldnt even keep milk for breakfast cereal. I filed a claim with BBB only to have Whirlpool close the claim stating that they fixed the refrigerator.

Never have to worry about my extra freezer products. Keeps them at the correct temperature. Plenty of room on the shelves and on the door. A great asset for large families.

Something inside the machine broke causing it to tear up my clothes! I had it repaired once, now it is 4 months outside warranty and it is destroying my clothes again. Whirlpool will do nothing to help remedy my problem. They did offer to help repair it at a cost of $350. Not happy with my Whirlpool washer. Looking to replace my 16-month old washer.

Our fridge was delivered the 24th of Jan. We called on the 19th of June because the fridge stopped working. The 24th Capital Refrigeration came out and said he ordered the parts, they would likely be there on the on Fri. the 28th. On the 5th the parts werent in yet. On the 5th of July I called Whirlpool to find out whats going on and the parts were on backorder. They would expedite the parts. The parts came in the 12th. Our Whirlpool refrigerator was delivered on the 24 of Jan. It quit working on the 19th of June so we called Lowes. They hooked us up with Whirlpool. They sent a tech the 24th. He (Mike with Capital Refrigeration) left saying he ordered the parts and they would likely be in on that Friday the 28th. I call Lowes on Mon. the 1st. They hooked me up with Whirlpool and they said the parts were being shipped that day and should be to Capital Refrigeration on Fri. the 5th. I called on the 5th and now the parts are on backorder (they didnt know they didnt have the parts). So the parts came in on the 12th. Capital Refrigeration came out, installed all new circuit boards. That didnt work, still no fridge (he suggest replacing the fridge but Whirlpool says no). So he orders new parts. He comes out on the 17th and installed new parts (coils and stuff). It worked for 3 days and quit again, I lost my food again. I call Lowes again. They hook me up with Whirlpool. They say theyre sending a different company. On the 19th A1 Quality Appliance calls, set up appointment for 23rd. The come out and say they are ordering the parts on the 25th. They say that Whirlpool said parts would arrive Mon. the 29th. On the 30th A1 Quality said the parts arent in but they have us scheduled for Wed. the 31st. NO PARTS. I called whirlpool and now I find out again they dont even have the parts again (they dont know they dont have the parts). They are on backorder and in a week call them to see if they have found the parts yet.So at the end of a week (the 7th of Aug.) Whirlpool said to call and see if they found this part yet (maybe not). It will have been 7 weeks without a fridge that broke when in use less than 5 months. They have told us the parts would be here 3 times and then find out all these parts have been on backorder every time. The 1st repairman Mike at Capital Refrigeration advised to replace the unit but they are still dragging this out. They did send us $150 for the inconvenience (not for all the food we lost). It would appear it will be 2 months before we have a refrigerator again if we are lucky. Whirlpool is a very poor company that has misled us several times and are still doing so. We purchased their refrigerator, double stacked oven, microwave and dishwasher and are very sorry. They say they record the calls if there is any doubt about my facts.

I had owned another Whirlpool Washer before, which died. I purchased this one. It was noisy and unreliable. Whereas the previous one lasted for 10 years, this one stopped working in less than 6. I went out and replaced it with a GE instead.

Lost two freezers of meat in this Whirlpool. Changed Motherboard twice. Wouldnt keep ice cream frozen. Tech told me I was buying cheap ice cream. Was told by Whirlpool that they dont replace freezers. Received a call from another WP rep who did replace it. Waiting 4 weeks now because trucking company wont come up my driveway in snow. It was here once out. Driver didnt know how to change unit out. Waiting for exp driver now.

I bought a Whirlpool gas stove (WFG745H0FS1) 2/1/18. The front control knobs (W11122880) position ink began rubbing off after a year. I sent them pics, their solution was to pay $45 each for new knobs.

I have had my refrigerator for more than 10 years. It is a standard refrigerator with no extras and I have never had any problems with it. I think things that dont have too many extra built into them are better with not so many things to break down.

Purchased the Gold Series Dishwasher Model No: WDF730PAYM0 Serial No: F14403489 on Dec 2011, started using it from Jan 2012. All is good until June 2014. It started leaking from the bottom, called Whirlpool - the great bad company. Since it is not under warranty they asked to schedule an appointment with their local authorized rip off service company. Technician come on the service day and told me that it is $120.00 for the service call and Labor and parts are extra, first of all $120.00 to come to my house is first rip off, that is the reason Whirlpool on their website do not give any estimates on the service call.After checking the appliance he said main assembly is bad and needs to replace and that will cost more than the original purchase price - what a ripoff. He asked me to contact Whirlpool, they may help since this is the known issue with this model. Called Whirlpool and mentioned and they said it is too old to continue to operate so they cannot help. Ended up trashing the 2.5 year old dishwasher for the new GE dishwasher. Never buy a Whirlpool ever again even on sale. Whirlpool company is not ethical and not ready to help consumer, would love to see them close their operation in America.

Our Samsung self cleaning oven burned out. The wires in the back were burnt and brittle and its a miracle our house did not burn down. While shopping we were told the new self cleaners were so much better, not the high heat, odor etc. This Whirlpool stove does not self clean, its a joke. I have scrubbed for hours on it. It does not get any kind of grease etc. off. You need to scrub and work hours. It may take a small spill off the bottom of the stove but thats it. There is no way to get all the grease splatters off the walls etc. I hate this stove and see there was a class action law suit on it. If I would have known then what I know how it would have gone back as soon as it arrived. I plan to go looking for another stove and it will not be a Whirlpool Aqualift self cleaning.

My husband AND I purchased our Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer from Lowes in 2011 (Model # WTW7800XW2). About 10 months after I purchased this I noticed a hairline crack on the right side of the frame that holds the glass top near the hinge. I didnt think to much of this. I figured it may have been screwed to tight when manufactured. A few days ago I noticed the lid wasnt sitting flat and saw the crack had gotten much worse. The Cabrio lid is made with a heavy piece of glass inside a plastic frame allowing you to see through the top. Its pretty obvious that the plastic frame is not durable enough to hold the heavy piece of glass.I called Lowes and they told me that because I didnt purchase their extended warranty that I should contact Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool and was told it was a cosmetic defect because the washer still works. They also told me my washer is outside of its warranty so they would schedule someone to fix it but I was 100% responsible for the repair costs (which I found out will be $400). Out of curiosity I googled this issue online and found numerous people complaining about this exact same issue. When I told this to the customer service agent at Whirlpool, she said there werent enough people to recall the product. Why should I spend $400 when it was a design flaw that caused this problem? I found out the year after my washer was made, the lid was redesigned with a much sturdier frame, Coincidence? I think not!I havent had any problems thus far with the dryer but with the experience Ive had with this washer will make me never by another Whirlpool product again. I cant believe they wont stand by their product! Obviously they know this has been a major complaint on this model from 2011 because it was changed the following year. I have purchased many Whirlpool appliances over the years but dealing with this issues has been frustrating. Im so disappointed in Whirlpool and their lack of integrity!

I purchased a Whirlpool Gold top freezer refrigerator (G2IXEFMWQ03) in May 2011. Six months later, the freezer began to collect frost and eventually clogged the refrigerator port from freezer. Since cold air from the freezer was not going to fridge, I had to turn down the refrigerator temp to lowest setting. I had a service person come out and replace Adaptive Defrost Control under warranty - it would have cost me around $250. Now roughly 12 months after repair, the defrost issue is back. The part cost me $175, and that is if I install it myself. I called and mailed Whirlpool which was a waste of time. This is the last Whirlpool I plan to purchase. For the same issue to occur in this short time span, it has engineering flaw written all over it.

My washer is a top load, energy and water efficient model. I am amazed at how little water it uses and how well it cleans. I do have two issues, the capacity looks huge but it will not take a queen size and double sheet set in the same load. It unbalances and then cant seem to get going again. The other issue is that you cant pause the wash and adjust things, you have to cancel and start over.

I purchased an appliance package Whirlpool Gold series that included a range, refrigerator and dishwasher. This was approximately 3 years ago. The range has already been replaced by Whirlpool after having it repaired twice and, finally, following the complete breakdown on Thanksgiving with turkey in oven. The refrigerator has broken twice and the computer box that controls all functions was replaced twice. The compressor goes off randomly and is currently off again at the moment. I woke up this morning to this and the temp inside is around 50 degrees. Needless to say the food inside is a loss. I will never purchase any Whirlpool appliance again. These were not inexpensive appliances by the way.

Purchased side-by-side 3 weeks ago. There are 2 adults and 1 kid in my household and the ice maker in the unit does not put out enough ice to handle our small demand, though this was never an issue with the 14 year old Whirlpool that this one replaced! We are using ice trays to supplement what ice the ice maker puts out but the ice trays take up valuable freezer space. Their service reps have inspected it and tell me that it is performing per the specs and when I ask for what the remedy is, there is none... ie. too bad, so sad!! I am apparently on my own with a brand new refrigerator with an ice maker that wont perform up to minimum expectations!

In 2009 I bought 2 (yes 2) machines (one was for our daughter). I also took out 5 year warranties on both (good job I did). Within the first month on our machine the paddles flew off and after a bit of a debate with the insurers we had another machine (same model). Within a short period from date of purchase both machines had a number of faults - circuit boards, weights that came loose! and bearings going. There are other bits but too extensive to list. To be fair to the insurers they were no trouble (it really is the inconvenience of being without a washer and having to schedule time to get it sorted out). I will never ever buy a Whirlpool as all of these (3 in total) have been a nightmare and ours is sounding noisy again (it only had a new drum 12 months ago for bearings - yes you need a new drum for that £200 in all!!) so I am really glad that we have the insurance. When that runs out and the machine is dead (whichever comes first) I think we will will be buying either a Beko or a Samsung that are getting really high ratings. Anyone reading this might wonder why did we buy these in the first place. Well a colleague of mine at work had one and said it was fantastic (she had children so used hers a lot) hence me buying them (and they were not cheap by any means, so thought we were getting a cracking pair of machines....cracking, yes they might as well be as a chocolate fireguard has more reliability...WARNING DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL WASHING MACHINE - IT COULD DAMAGE YOUR SANITY! AND FAITH IN HUMAN BEINGS TOO!!!!!

Bought this new in Oct 2012. A week back stopped working. After a week found out it needs new compressor and will cost 1,096.00. Paid 2,100 for this new and now need to buy another fridge but not this make.

In 2014, we redesigned our kitchen for two side kick gorgeous looking white fridge and freezer (Fridge was $1099 & Freezer was $1099, plus extended warranty $436.19 CDN.) Within 2 years the evaporator blew. $1000 dollar repair that Whirlpool covered, yay!. BUT 3.5 years later the compressor blew...another $1000. Whirlpools response...Sorry Sears went under and the fridge is 5.5 years old. Whirlpool discontinued the model so no new fridge for us unless we re-do a whole bank of cabinets. We purchased a Whirlpool (gas) range with double oven, in April of this year. We found that the upper oven over heats, on the right side, and therefore burns or bakes unevenly.The repair company will be out for the fourth time tomorrow. They have been very nice to deal with, but really have not been able to repair or come up with any definitive plan of repair action.

I do not know if my mail would be read or not, but I am writing it just to my satisfaction. I am a doctor (dentist) living in Haridwar. I had bought a Whirlpool fridge around 2-3 years back. I am not sure about the date. I have the bill. I will have to check the exact date. So around 3 months back, the fridge stopped cooling and I lodged a complaint in your customer care center. The engineer turned up, and he said that the compressor was not working and the company will change it. We only have to pay for the gas to be refilled. I said ok. Everything went well for nearly 3 months, then again one fine day, the cooling stopped. I called the companys customer care, and they gave me a complaint number and customer satisfaction number. But nobody turned up for 2 days. I called and called, then after much calling, a guy from the company came and said that the compressor was not working and they have to change it but that it will not be possible for 4 days. After 4 days, he will come.Sir, can you live without a fridge for 4 days and not getting the guarantee that it will be ok in the next 4 days? So, I went to the market bought a Kirloskar compressor, got it fixed, and got the gas filled; and the fridge is working fine now on the same day. This cost me nearly 4500rs, but I am happy that I have solved the problem. Till date, nobody has come to see my problem; and to my utter surprise, I received an SMS from Whirlpool that the customer is not willing to pay. Ha ha ha. My fridge is a double-door 280-liter fridge. What should I do?

I purchased a Whirpool fridge five years ago. To date it has had 7 repairs. The latest round has lasted over five weeks and the expensive warranty I also bought is about to run out. The repair man is on his third repair and I havent had refrigeration for five weeks. In the meantime they wont replace the fridge, and it takes two weeks between scheduled visits by the authorized repair man.

My issue is I believe that Whirlpool should pay for my tub and bearing part because the washing is only 16 months old. Because it went over the one-year warranty by four months, I shouldnt have to buy this part considering it is such a big break for such a young washer. Please advise if Whirlpool will assist me with this issue.

I purchased the Whirlpool Quiet Partner II dishwasher, Model DU1055XTVQ0, Serial # FY3762359. The racks are cheaply made and rusting! Almost all of the tips on the racks are rusting, causing them to corrode and break off completely! This dishwasher is well under 5 years old. Not sure what we paid for this machine but the racks should not be doing this after this short length of time. They shouldnt be doing this after any length of time.I called Whirlpools customer support center today and was told there is nothing they could do. The support agent asked if I had hard water, if so, that could be causing the problem (I dont have hard water). The agent stated that they do not cover rusting racks nor would they replace them, now I see why. They are expensive to replace. As of now, I will not be buying another Whirlpool appliance - ever! They just lost a dissatisfied customer due to their very poor quality and customer service.

Bought Whirlpool electric range in Dec. 2005..expensive..so the warranty expired a few months ago. The electronic keypad that controls the oven and lights doesnt work. The repairs will be $408 plus tax which is obscene, and are guaranteed only for 90 days.This after only 5 years of minimal use...just me using it.I will never buy whirlpool again.

We have had our dishwasher for over ten years and have had no problems. Its been very reliable. Its a free standing unit on wheels with a butcher block top as we dont have room in the cabinets for a built in. All you have to do is roll it over to the sink and plug it in and hook up the water line which has a quick disconnect. The male half always stays on the faucet.

I apparently am one of the lucky ones to have an electric water heater. My unit started giving me failure codes during the Christmas holidays. Each time it would fail, I would get a different failure code indicating the upper element, the lower element, and a sensor failure. After testing all 3 of these components, it was determined to be a controller issue. After speaking with Chris on the phone, he overnighted a new controller to me. I installed the new controller and had no more failures. Hot showers for New Years! Thank you Chris.

I purchased a Whirlpool WFW9050XW washer in Aug 2011. I have had nothing but problems. Sears sent repair tech 2x; it would work for a couple months and stop. Whirlpool has sent new motor, tub, switches, etc. I feel I bought a lemon and I want Whirlpool to replace the machine.

I purchased a new Whirlpool range and had it fitted for propane. I used the stove daily and within two weeks, the temperature started fluctuated constantly. Several things I tried to cook ended up burned. I called Whirlpool to ask them for a possible solution. They wanted to send a repair person. I live on an island and knew it would take forever to get someone here. My appliance person said it could be only two things - the temperature probe or the computer board. I purchased both things and had them shipped to my address at my expense. It cost $257.00 to get the items. My appliance man on the island installed the two new items. I was hoping that would fix the problem. I am sad to say it did not! The oven still fluctuates wildly. I set the temp for 350 degrees and it shoots up to 450 degrees. I turn the temp down to 325 and it settles in at 350 for a period of time. Then, without any warning, it will shoot back up to 500 degrees. I have to open the door and let the temp back down to 350. This is how I have to bake and cook with this disaster. Wish I never purchased a Whirlpool appliance!

I bought one of the top of the line Maytag washers and was very disappointed. It only lasted about 5 years and had to be replaced. The dryer I bought at the same time is still working. It is 15 years old.

As a busy mom with 11 children, I needed a refrigerator that could stand up to the demands of my family. This refrigerator is great and meets my needs, but could use a few improvements. The side refrigerator shelves are not on very sturdy. When my daughter removed a jar of mustard, the shelf came off the door, fell onto the floor and broke. This could be solved by improving the gripping strength (increase depth) of the refrigerator door shelf holders. Additionally, the sliding freezer shelf is always crooked and has to be manipulated into place. This is most problematic when the freezer shelf is full. The freezer is not smudge-proof, but clean up is easy with a damp towel.

I bought a Whirlpool french door refrigerator, model # ED5LVAXWS about five years ago. I didnt have any problems until last month, on August 25, 2016. The ice dispenser stopped working, and the refrigerator went off. I had to throw out a lot of food. I got a new extended warranty that day, and a serviceman came out the following day, 8/26. It turned out he wasnt a repairman, just someone to diagnosis the problem and order the parts. The part was ordered, and the fridge would be repaired within 5 days, but the part was delayed because of a Hurricane Hermine, which completely understandable.On 9/8 the repairman arrived, but he realized that the original guy who diagnosed the problem was in error. He had ordered a compressor, and what needed to be replaced was the thermostat. As of today, 9/29, the part is still not in -- I was told its on backorder with no ETA. If I didnt have a mini fridge, Id be at a complete loss. I called what I thought was Whirlpool to complain about the part taking so long to arrive, but was told they can do nothing. It turns out that a company called AIG U.S. Warranty Division handles Whirlpools guarantees. I am not a happy camper.

I was not impressed with the new HE washers but could not find any traditional ones anymore. I bought a Amana and am disgusted that it is only 3 years old and needs to be replaced because of a transmission problem with it not agitating. It costs more to repair than it is worth. As a consumer, I should be given a choice whether I want to upscale or be satisfied with older model features. I will never buy or recommend a Amana HE washer to anyone. My mother also has one, has had it for a year and it is already giving her problems. Shame on you Whirlpool.

Whirpool Product VMW TL WASHER with impeller absolutely is crap. I have it almost a year and it smells, and it noisy like a dog was in the machine and someone started it. Its off balance constantly. I hate it and will place on every blog the worst review I can write. Its a nightmare. It has a fake bleach dispenser a door but no holder underneath. Even the repairman thought the bleach went in the dispenser. My clothes were ruined along with sheets, etc on numerous washes. The bleach partially dispensed on dark clothes at least 8 washes.The washer was purchased at BrandsMart 11 months ago and so theres no returns.

I bought a Whirlpool/Fridge Freezer Model WRF560SMYM 01, less that two years ago. Two months ago it started making a terrible noise. Apparently the freezer was iced up and a mechanic defrosted it. It happened twice more and he left saying he could not fix it. Another arrived and took the model number and he disappeared. A third the same. Now I have an empty freezer, just an ice maker. It seems to not freeze up so quickly with the moisture control on. Over $2,000 down the drain unless somebody can fix it. Oh and the fridge gets very cold! Does anyone have any ideas apart from throwing it out and buying another? Never another Whirlpool!

Wife and I bought a WRF990SLAM00 fridge in 5/2013. Seemed like the nicest model Lowes had at the time. The first one delivered had problems: it wouldnt stand level or seal properly, and had to be replaced. Another unit was delivered a few days later. This one - the same model - worked very nicely, for a year and a half. A few days ago, it got loud. My wife noticed in the freezer, some things were beginning to thaw. We called Whirlpool, who said, Oh, its over a year, and youre out of warranty. Sorry! Ok, so they suck. After we had a technician examine the freezer, he suggested, This is something Whirlpool needs to address. It wasnt the first (or fourth) problem with this fridge that hes seen. Called Whirlpool again, this time to gripe. Sorry, youre more than a year, so no warranty BUT, well sell you a service contract for $330! Hows that sound? It sounds like Whirlpool just disqualified themselves from ever getting their hands on another dollar from my family. Theres too many other companies who DONT treat their customers like garbage.

We purchased the 36 inch Wide 4 Door Refrigerator with Exterior Drawer about three years ago and it broke down twice in that time frame. Then yesterday the freezer part and ice maker have stopped working AGAIN!! We probably have spent $2000 on repairs. Complete disaster of a fridge!! Do not purchase one!!

We purchased a side by side Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer in June 2011 and have had nothing but problems with this piece of crap appliance. Ice maker has been repaired 3 times, water line clogged twice because of freezing and thawing. Now the machine only cools both sides to 45 degrees F. I am having a repair person come out on Monday to tell me what is wrong but I am so upset with the poor workmanship of this product I dont want to put another dime into the repair. We paid $1100 on this and have paid at least $600 in repairs over the past 4 years!! I agree with all of the other comments on the poor manufacturing choices. We had a GE prior to this and it lasted 10 years but we had the same issues. Repairing it every few years. I am not sure what brand to purchase next. If anyone has a suggestion I would be open to it.

I love my Refrigerator. It is a side-by-side with ice-maker and water in the door. I have plenty of room in the refrigerator, and I really like the adjustable shelves. I would definitely purchase another Whirlpool (next time with freezer on the bottom). I love the Stainless and would probably purchase again - or depending on the kitchen maybe black.

I bought a complete kitchen set of the Whirlpool Gold Series Appliance from Brand-Smart in 2/2013. The first problem I had was the compressor on the refrigerator. It started making a noise & stopped cooling in 04/2014. I called Whirlpool and they said there was only a year warranty on parts and service. I was not notified that I could get an ext. warranty. Therefore I will have to pay for the repair. I called a service tech out and he said I needed a new compressor, total cost 255.00. Then in 11/2014 it started making the same noise & stopped cooling another $255.00. Now its doing the same thing. It needs another compressor, will cost me $255.00 more! A total of $765.00!! And I have only had the refrigerator 2 years 2/2015.

AVOID Whirlpool water heaters - Bought two 12 year warranty water heaters from Lowe’s in 2014. Model NU50T121-403 from Whirlpool. Thermocouple went out within the first 4 months. Called WP, they gave me a number to call for an authorized contractor to come out. Made certain to tell me that PARTS were covered, but not labor. $300 for the labor and two days later, hot water is back on. SAME THING happens again 6 months later, then AGAIN in Sept of this year. So 3 guys have been out to all replace the same part. This morning, hot water is out. Both tanks. Can’t keep pilot light lit. Called WP. They gave me more numbers of authorized contractors. No hot water and now I’ve got another $300 I owe to fix the SAME BROKEN PART. I wonder if this is how their last class action lawsuit got started?

We have the four-door model, french fridge part, drawer, and bottom freezer. Overall has been a good appliance. Icemaker burned out in third year. Icemaker replacement is very noisy, popping and groaning during drop-out and refill. Noise level otherwise is average.

I have a Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher. I would recommend this dishwasher. It is large enough to hold dirty dishes for a family of four. It is a little loud but not that bothersome. It is stainless steel but I don’t have a lot of fingerprint smears and stains.

Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine: The washer was purchased in March of 2012 and malfunctioned in December 2014. After phoning Whirlpool, the machine was scheduled for repair with a factory-authorized company. The first repair attempt was unsuccessful due to a lack of parts. It took 10 days for the parts to arrive, and another unsuccessful repair attempt was made. The verdict is that a new motor control board, costing $350 plus labor, is necessary. With the delay in service and cost of repairs, I may as well buy a new machine.

We purchased the largest Whirlpool Cabrio Washer (over $1100 value) 3.5 years ago, and had nothing but trouble out of it. The drum has had to be replaced twice, the motor once, and then supposedly a bolt kept coming off on the drum as well, that had to be tightened twice. Now, we dont know what is wrong with it - we suspect suspension imbalance or something, because this extra large capacity washer is constantly unbalanced even with 6 articles of fabric in it now, and I dont even think about putting even what would be considered a medium-large load in it, because it flat up will not wash. You can put a level on it, and it shows leveled, but it still wont operate worth anything. My wife is so put out by it at this point that she has even talked about getting an old ringer washer (seriously). Sears keeps coming out here because we had purchased the extended warranty and truly if they had simply replaced the washer after the 2nd trip to the house, they would have more than paid for the replacement washer even. Instead, they keep coming, looking at it, then having to order parts, and then come back a couple weeks later to put the shipped parts (which sit around our house), back in to repair it each time. All the while, we go without a washer or barely can wash any clothes. We have even taken clothes to the laundromat during one of the repair instances, because we cant just have mounds of clothes piled up for their month-long service. It is ridiculous how little it seems that Sears and Whirlpool care about their customers. I have gone to Whirlpool and Sears Home Services sites and complained at both. I have called both of their 800 lines in the past and again, this yielded nothing to truly depict either company cares. It just goes to prove that customer satisfaction is far less valuable to either of these companies than the bottom dollar profits in our opinion. I dont know where else to post our concerns/frustrations, so anyone can see how put out these two companies have caused us and dont care, but if anyone knows of anywhere else I can post blogged concerns, please let me know.I have complained previously about a dishwasher that we had purchased that we had numerous issues with. Those complaints fell on deaf ears to Whirlpool and really Sears as well. I dont think all the washers are duds, but this one has been nothing but trouble, and Sears wont just replace it, Whirlpool dont care. I have been given the runaround that it is because there arent three (3) service calls in a 12-month period for the exact same issue. Well, I am sorry that it doesnt appear to be just one thing! I have had it with these services calls, parts having to be ordered, only to hit the crazy repeat button again every time! I had one of the first Maytag Neptunes. Loved it to pieces but finally had a problem and my beloved repair guy said it was almost 20 years old so to give up and move on. Obviously, cant be without a washer for very long so grabbed this Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washer. One of the biggest disappointments ever! Clothes come out streaked and splotched, dont smell very fresh or clean even straight after having been washed, stains dont come out even with pre-treating, have to run everything on heavy duty, whites are getting grayer by the week, and all-around horrid performance.Im ready to give up my Starbucks, start packing my lunches for a couple months, skip whatever treats I have to in order to get back to a quality machine that can actually WASH CLOTHES. I wondered exactly what it was or wasnt doing so I stood over it for half an hour. Initially, it loads up about a gallon of water and then spits it out over the rotating drum of clothes. Then it stops and spins that water out. I suspect the design logic was that it would force that gallon of water thru the clothes taking some dirt out with it. It repeats that stupid process several times. Then it finally gets a few inches of water in the bottom and the vestigial agitator tries to move it around.I watched one hand towel lie on top like a dead weasel, never getting pulled down or pushed out or whatever it was supposed to do to get down among the other items and squish together. Life throws me everything from sick kids spewing body fluids to people coming home reeking of hydraulic and other industrial fluids. When I say clean I mean CLEAN. This piece of junk couldnt satisfactorily process half a dozen dust rags. Neptune, Im coming back with my hat in my hand and a whole new appreciation!

11 months after I bought the fridge it started acting up. I paid 1900 for this thing. The temp kept getting warmer and the ice maker quit working. I had to pay for a service plan. Ill never buy a piece of junk Whirlpool product in my life again and ill broadcast their poor quality to everybody in my 5000 congregation. I work to save up to buy this product and its junk. Ill end donating it. Im very upset at this junk product produced by Whirlpool.

Pros: The refrigerator is large and roomy, easily adjustable glass shelving, and easy temperature controls for the refrigerator temperature and freezer temperature. Cons: the refrigerator is bulky and limits space in a small kitchen. The lower freezer door does not seal very well and requires frequent tweaking and adjusting around the door seal. Also, the freezer handle becomes loose easily and requires tightening fairly often -- which is a pain to get on the floor on your back (and a flashlight plus a special wrench) to tighten the handle.

WRX986SIHV00 - French Door Fridge, cost $3k. After 16 months lights on top of fridge and freezer broke, Whirlpool only states no more warranty and offers no help. For such a pricey appliance that is a very weak quality and inadequate service IMO.

I purchased the Whirlpool Gold series cook top range-stainless steel. It is of good quality and looks very nice. It is also easy to clean and for the price it has a self cleaning oven. I didnt think that I would like this range but over a period of time I truly love cooking on it.

Self-cleaning oven system DOESNT WORK AT ALL! The company rep I talked with said the system only works on lightly soiled oven and doesnt clean at all on the oven top or sides. When I explained that my oven was less than lightly soiled (I rarely use it) and that I had run the cleaning cycle twice and none of the soil was affected. Apparently the company is aware of this problem and I believe customers should be made aware of it BEFORE purchasing. I was told there was nothing they could do because my appliance is out of warranty. I asked if they had received other complaints and was told they had. I am not surprised.

We have had our catalytic oven explode into millions of hot pieces again for the 3rd time. Contacting them they sold me an extended warranty which Im trying to cancel and have been trying since 30th Mar to contact on ALL of their lines. It is permanently on hold or engaged. This company should be avoided at all costs. If you work for this disgusting company DONT!! You will be out of work soon! It is unbelievable how bad they are at responding to their (now ex) customers. What the hell are we in the EU for when a supposed UK co is Italian and they never respond (AKA 1940). Ludicrous! I purchased this model 2 years ago. I absolutely hate the fact that there is not enough water dispensed to clean my clothes. Part of my clothes dont even get wet, therefore, I have to press pause and add 2 to 3 gallons of water during the wash and rinse cycles. I do like the spin cycle as long as it does not get unbalanced.Wished I had never purchased it.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my Whirlpool refrigerator. After less than two years, the entire cooling system has gone out basically rendering it a piece of trash. Unfortunately, Whirlpool is only going to absorb the cost of parts, so I still have to shell out $4500 to have a refrigerator repaired that is nearly new. This is not acceptable. I will never purchase a Whirlpool appliance again.

I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator with French Doors, Model No. GX5SHDXVD03. Within 1 year and 4 months, I had to replace the defrost control board. I spoke to Whirlpools customer service, George ** said he was sorry for my inconvenience but that he refuses to help in any way because I missed the warranty period by 4 months. I spent $352.74 for the parts and labor and lost hundreds more in food. Do not purchase any Whirlpool products. I was told that the boards have been going out frequently.

I have a Cabrio washer displaying the F-1 error code. I called on Thursday, the 15th of Sept. I spoke to Vicky in the Cleveland, TN division. She told me that the F-1 code on my machine (model no. WTW6600SW2 and serial no. **) was covered under a recall at no cost, parts or labor (I specifically asked this question). She set up a service repair ticket with Freds Appliance at 888-453-7337 and gave me the date. I was home waiting when they called. The driver drove in the drive and asked if he was there for my Jenn-Air cook top! I said no, the F-1 error code on the washer. He explained that he had just used the last control board last week and he changes them frequently. I called Whirlpool. A very snotty Ashley proceeded to tell me that nothing was covered and I would have to pay. I asked for a supervisor and Ratna answered after a hold of 45 minutes on my cell. I explained the situation. After begging, she proceeded to tell me that she would pay for parts only. I explained that the tech did not have the parts, didnt even know the correct appliance, and now I have to take another day off work to meet him to have my washer fixed. I have not used the washer in two weeks. I used to only buy Whirlpool products. After reading all the complaints about the same error code from other consumers, I believe there are enough complaints that we as consumers should be protected.

Purchased new from Best Buy for over $1000. One or two months after the warranty expired the ice through the door malfunctioned, would only spit out crushed all over the floor then clog up. Didnt bother to repair it, just open the freezer. Next, the door would not seal right and frost builds up in my frost free. Also, the ice delivery wont close tight. Now the unit is about 3 years old and I just finished paying it off and all the door shelves are cracking. Contacted Whirlpool and was told by email politely, Too bad. You are out of warranty, but please buy parts from us and say nice things about Whirlpool because we so value our customers. Never will buy Whirlpool again and recommend you DONT.

We bought this product and had only had it for a couple of weeks when I spilled soup on the open microwave door. My mistake, but I would think that might happen to other people once in a while. The soup leaked around the window gasket of the microwave and streaked the interior of the door. It also ran down into the door of the oven and streaked the interior of that door. No way to clean this up that I know of without taking the door apart. I think these gaskets should not allow liquid they leak into the inside of these doors. Whirlpool says its my problem. They call it a use and care issue. I think its a design issue.

We purchased a Whirlpool dryer almost three yeas ago. Its a front load, steam dryer--or WAS should I say. Almost a year ago, I was unable to calibrate the control panel (in other words, to change the cycle). Ive been advised by the tech that I need a new control panel $200. Really Whirlpool??? A $500 dryer that lasts two years?

We purchased Whirlpool sports model on 2/1/2011. We faced a problem with the motor in a month’s time. The service man told that there are fluctuations in the power so it went wrong. They replaced it after 15-20 days’ time. We also complained that it’s making noise and then he told that we should keep it on the stand. We did so, even then, it’s still noisy. Now about 3 weeks back, suddenly it stopped working during the wash. I never overloaded the washing machine. We complained to the dealer. The mechanic came and told that we had to replace some parts and he will get in a couple of days, but he never turned up. When we contacted the dealer, he said that the parts were unavailable and he will send them in a couple of days. I am fed up of that answer. We could have purchased IFB instead of this.

I purchased a condo last year with all appliances included. My Whirlpool refrigerator model is GI6SDRXXY00, a fairly new refrigerator. I noticed orange and moldy spots on ices when dispensing them. I changed the filter, thought maybe it is the filter causing the issue. But after inserting the new filter and emptying the entire ice tray, I still get bad ice! I open the compartment, and surprisingly, found out that the spiral rod inside the ice dispenser was rusted! This is horrible and unacceptable! This is not a user fault but a manufacturing defect. The parts that are in direct contact with what customer consumes should be robust and safe. I contacted customer service, and they gave me a technician phone number which turned out to be a third party which only cares about money. They said they will inspect the refrigerator and will charge me $134.00. I will not use this refrigerator anymore and will replace it soon. AND I will never purchase any more Whirlpool products. This manufacturer is crossed out from my list of vendors who I do business with.

We purchased our suite of appliances from Home Depot, this was a great experience. Unfortunately that is were it stopped. Our 1st refrigerator caught on fire in the electrical within the unit. We got a 2nd refrigerator sent to us and it came damaged. Then they sent us a 3rd refrigerator and it caught on fire in the electrical as well. Weve been dealing with this all since August 27th 2019 and here its now October 14th 2019. At this point I feel this model of Whirlpool is truly unsafe.

I bought a front loading Whirlpool washer a few years ago after having my old top loading Kenmore for 25 years. It seemed okay, but I did always have to leave the front door open and it always smelled musty, which was of some concern. My clothes never smell totally fresh. The biggest current problem is that several months ago it started with a failure code, alternately would stop without draining, wouldnt fill, or wouldnt drain, and ultimately ended up flooding my basement. So we called for service and they replaced a sensor and said these machines seem to have a lot of service issues with sensors blowing and motors dying. So I paid them that time. Now its a month or two later, failure code again, calling for service one more time. But if it costs too much I will join the legions of dissatisfied Whirlpool customers and will switch to an upright competitors brand.

After the second year, everything stated to fail. The pump, the main control, even the mounting straps all failed. We are very glad we got the extended warranty. Parts alone have exceeded $400.00. Right now we are dealing with the loads not drying.

I like the Kenmore dishwasher as it has the cutlery basket in the door. This leaves more room for dishes on the rack instead of taking room up for the cutlery.

The machine meets our needs and just the right capacity. It has just the right number of selection for proper washing. Very easy to load clothes and remove from the washer. There were a number of colors to select.

My gas range doesnt work all that well. Sometimes the flame catches and lights, sometimes it doesnt. Oven seems to be less than steady in cooking. It is ok, but I wouldnt buy again.

Ive owned the microwave for 2 years, and recently the DOOR AJAR alarm goes off whenever I try using it. The appliance is now essentially unusable. I wish I knew about this known defect before purchasing. I spoke with Whirlpool Customer Care, and they want to charge me to have someone come fix a known defect. The charge is more than what I paid for the microwave. Please avoid Whirlpool at all costs!

I got a BRAND NEW Whirlpool from Habitat for Humanity. I registered it as a new product and was told it came from Lowes. Habitat only warranted it for 30 days but when it went out in 60 days, I called on the warranty. They sent out a repairman who said it was unfixable and after 2 weeks waiting to hear from them, Whirlpool said they would not honor the warranty because the serviceman said it had been dropped. I am a disabled senior citizen, I guarantee you I couldnt lift it long enough to drop it. Habitat said they didnt drop it and so did Lowes. Meanwhile, Whirlpool had the nerve to send me an extended warranty for the same refrigerator that they wouldnt honor the original warranty and they treated me like I was just trying to cheat them or something. The only thing I can do now is put it out in my driveway with a big sign on it to warn others NOT to buy Whirlpool products. Big deal.

My Gold Series Whirlpool Electric Range is 3 years old. The main board for driving the burners, oven, etc burned up which caused my oven to go from the 200 degree setting to 450 in about 3 minutes burning everything that was in the oven. They want $400.00 + installation to replace it and that is if one can be found to actually install. The stove was purchased for $850.00 because of the Brand and now they want half that value to replace a board that will likely fry again in a year or two. I find there is no value for money and will not ever buy a Whirlpool brand again.
