I have had my whirlpool top loader washer 2/12 years. There are 3 adults in our household, but we do at least 1 load per day. During a spin cycle we heard a loud bang and then the washer starting spinning very fast. I called for repair and was told the cost was 500.00. Now I must buy a new washer as that cost is excessive and I see this is a common problem. This new washer will not be a whirlpool!!!

Whirlpool Cabrio - 6 Big Problems: I dont write bad reviews on anything but in this case, I feel I have to warn potential buyers. Ive owned this washer for more than 4 years. Here are the problems: 1) This washer TEARS HOLES in my towels; 2) It SHREDS some clothes; 3) Loads are UNBALANCED every time I use it, regardless of load type or size; 4) Very LOUD when running. My neighbors can hear it and they are 150 feet behind us. It sounds like someone is pounding on the walls of my house. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! I havent seen it, but I believe it might actually be jumping off the floor; 5) Its NOT High Capacity as advertised. Sure, the drum is big, but you cant put much more than a tiny load in it. If you try a larger load, the clothes dont get cleaned; and 6) Whirlpool wont do a darn thing about it. They dont care about the buyer or their own reputation.Our family grew and I thought we needed a larger washer. I foolishly replaced a ten-year old, $300 standard top-loading GE washer that never had a problem, with this expensive **. The GE had a drum that was about 1/2 the size and it washed MORE clothes! The GE never damaged any clothes and it wasnt ridiculously loud like this one. I regret ever buying this expensive washer and I will never again buy a Whirlpool product.

I bought a whirlpool cabrio with high hopes. Unfortunately, it has been the worst washing machine I have ever had. Then I moved in with my fiance and he too had a cabrio. It too is a piece of junk - and brand new! Every load comes out with left over residue and the clothes look worse than before they went in! I have tried everything and I do mean everything! IM 41 y.o. - IM well aware of how to load a machine. I load it just the way the instructions say: as if there was an agitator there. Ive tried using no laundry detergent or fabric softener - clothes still come out disgusting. Ive made sure the screens are clean, doing extra small loads, turning on the extra rinse, everything! Ive called whirlpool, but there is no such thing as customer service anymore. They just blamed me for not loading the clothes properly and blew me off. The machine becomes unbalanced very easily (it is leveled on the floor), sometimes the clothes are still soaking wet at the end of the cycle and sometimes all knotted up. This is a horrible machine!! I wish I could say it makes me feel better that IM, by far, not the only one having issues with this piece of junk!

I purchased the Front-Loader Duet in June of 2008. Like many of the consumers here, my machine began making a thunderous sound during the spin cycle. I contacted Whirlpool and arranged for service. The service call was $129, the estimate was over $1100 to repair (bad bearing). The machine originally cost $899 plus tax. I called customer service to complain. I had owned two top-loader Whirlpool machines; one for 15 years, the other for 12 years with no service calls ever needed. How can Whirlpool possibly justify what is obviously a design defect by telling me that I should have bought an extended warranty? I replied that in my experience, an extended warranty is an unnecessary expense for a Whirlpool product.

Whirlpool Washing machine Model WTW4800XQ1 - This machine ran fine for the first 6 months, even though my old machine took 40 minutes for a large load and this one takes an hour. Then, I had to call the repairman out and he said it was the fill valve. He didnt have one on the truck and said he should get it in within 3-5 days. Well a month later, I had to call Lowes again to find out what the problem was. They had him back out with the part within 2 days. Then, I had to call again. This time the repairman ran a test and found a bad spin motor, he had the part on truck. Third time to call and the machine is back to not spinning out properly. My old machine lasted over 14 years. Whats wrong with these new ones?

Whirlpool has been an absolute nightmare from day 1. We bought a brand new 50-gallon water heater from Lowes. It did not work. We went back to Lowes and were told to contact whirlpool. We contacted Whirlpool and were told to conduct a number of test and all test passed, so they said we needed a plumber to come look at it. Remind you that this water heater is brand new and has not worked since day 1. They said the plumber would cost $130 and they would pay for parts. Why am I having to pay when my water heater has never worked. Paid the money. Had them come. They replaced a part, did not work, replaced another and it did not work, so the plumber requested a new water heater. Whirlpool refused. What is the point of paying and they are not going to fix it.Whirlpool insisted it was our ventilation even though all test proved that was not the problem. So out of pocket again to fix the ventilation and it did not work. After 2 months of no hot water with a two-year old at home we had someone we know come look at it and fixed the main pipe. Whirlpool took my money and didnt fix my problem. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Mid-sized, mid-range dishwasher. It is noisy, not quiet at all, and we must speak quite loud over it if we want to be heard. The wash cycle is quite long... not really a water saver.

In January 2016 we ordered a Whirlpool Dishwasher through Home Depot. First, Whirlpool delivered the wrong dishwasher and the installer took my old one away - leaving minimal options to correct the problem quickly. Home Depot did not make the order Model # error but they did compensate for the error. Now, with 18 months of very low use (2 in household - prewashing all the dishes) the pump on the dishwasher is gone. Before posting this review I contacted Whirlpool via email. Two weeks later I had a phone message and I returned the call only to wait for 30 minutes to get through to a customer service agent who could offer absolutely no solutions or compensation for their poor quality product or service. There needs to be a zero on the scale of STARS to reflect Whirlpools overall quality.

These are the worst sets in the world. We bought this set from a hometown store, had them 6 months and all belts on dryer had to have the belt on the dryer replaced, then 2 months later the washing machine went out, so the store did replace both and weve had them about 3 month. The dryer works great so far, the washing machine on the other hand not good at all! The tray where the detergent goes continues to have mold/mildew in it, the clothes come out of wash cycle smelling soured. We have this set inside and we keep our temp set on 67 in our home. There is no excuse for all the problems, not to mention that noise it makes when it washes!! I am completely disgusted!!

Went to Lowe’s, as my old fridge died. Gets delivered & guys wore masks. After they leave the NOISE of fridge I could hear in bedroom! I called right away had to wait for a replacement from XPO about a Week. Guy shows up stinking like ashtray, No Mask to “repair” my brand new Loud Fridge. Heck no was to get replaced. I called Lowe’s 3 times & XPO twice. It’s now June 4th. I’m still waiting! 25cubic Serial #HRX0654908. Horrible customer no service!

We called to have refrigerator repaired. We had to wait for 6 weeks get repair people to come. They looked, made guess, left, no repair. Said someone else would have to do it. No date/time frame. Houlka appliance, is that the only repair place in ms? No happy/hate lowes appliances, not impressed with whirlpool warranty system. And yes I have all the original receipts for the warranty.

Cabrio washer 2015 model - The worst washer in 40 years. Everytime I use it I ask myself why did you buy this? Sure it conserves the amount of water but I havent noticed a nickel in savings because you have to wash the same load a couple of times. Since the days of cleaning in a stream clothes have been beaten to remove soil. How in gods name was I fooled into thinking this washer would actually clean our clothes. I put a folded tablecloth in it and when I emptied it the tablecloth was still folded. IF YOU NEED A CLOTHES WASHER TO ACTUALLY CLEAN CLOTHES, DONT BUY THE KIND WITHOUT AN AGITATOR. This machine always leaves me questioning if its going to finish the cycle. It goes thru all kinds of spastic sounds in order to advance to the next step. I learned I cannot presoak a load more than 10 minutes before the machine empties ON ITS OWN! I just dont trust the machine and would not buy again.

Whirlpool is one of the best appliances I have ever used. They last for years and the self clean ovens come in handy. I’m not to big on the electric stoves, but they are also amazing. Almost everyone in my family use Whirlpool, and we all love the stove and refrigerator. It is definitely a wonderful product.

I bought this washing machine in May 5, 2012 and delivered in July from Paddys Market. We do not use the machine that much because me and my wife and two kids living in the house. Yesterday I put my clothes in the machine and left it to wash it. When I went to get my clothes, water was all over the place in the basement and the machine was beeping and reading code LF. I turn off the machine and turned on back. Water started to fill and then suddenly water started to coming from the bottom of the machine. I removed the bottom panel and I could see the water was coming very fast from the bottom of the basket (the drum shape). I called the private company to repair it and waiting to find out.

Bought Whirlpool Gold 21.9 bottom freezer (stainless) Jan. 2013. When it was 19 mo. old I noticed the freezer door was pitting. I have the Lowes protection plan. Not their problem, door is a accessory not a part. Whirlpool said no quality issues with the material. Very disappointed Whirlpool did not stand behind a product they sell. From past posts I am glad we did not hook up the ice maker.

I bought a compact washing machine and 4 months later it broke, needed a CCU board. To make a long story short now the machine is 7 months old and still broke. Whirlpool cant locate a part for it nor do they want to replace it. I think its time to get a Lawyer involved. Ive been calling for weeks now and have gotten nothing but the run around from all very Rude employees. Im turning this over to a lawyer. Im done dealing with Whirlpool. For a large corp Im very aggravated and severely disappointed with them. Wish I never bought their appliances. NEVER AGAIN.

Whirlpool washer is junk. Expired I. Less than 4 years. Cost to repair is more than new washer. DO NOT PURCHASE WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS. Agitator motor burned up without notice. No troubleshooter problem. 2 repairmen suggested I buy new washer.

I purchased a home that came with Whirlpool appliances. I begged the company for GE or Maytag. Of course they went with the cheapest they could find. I must admit the microwave gets very hot but the dishwasher is a piece of crap! The water doesnt get hot and the dryer doesnt work. They tried to tell me it NEEDED Jet-Dry. I own 4 homes and have lived in all of them. Ive NEVER used Jet-Dry and all the others work perfectly. Run as far as you can from Whirlpool!

Love the dishwasher, except the racking which has some top rack channels which are too small to be used by glasses, mugs, etc. The Power On/Off should automatically power down when the cycle is finished. Too often when someone leans against the dishwasher while opening the overhead cupboard, the dishwasher will start up because the unit was not powered down.

We bought the Whirlpool top loader washer and the drum broke down and after several attempted fixes it was replaced by new one as we were being financed through a business. So here comes the new one - same exact washer. Not only did it not clean well (normal soiling) then it goes to ul which means not balanced... not because clothes arent but because the thing that balances - it went only after a yr!! It would also keep filling draining again to no drain leaving clothes SOPPING wet... So very disappointed to say the least. What a piece of junk this washer is!! Its going to the curb tonight and being replaced by GE - NO MORE WHIRLPOOL AGAIN !!

Whirlpool has a terrible customer service! I have an almost new washer broken and I had it repaired. The company is having the same issues in another model and yet, they would not offer to even refund the repair.

I have used my new Whirlpool range (D-MGR865OES) about a dozen times and the damn thing is going to catch me on fire. I cannot reach the pans on the back burners without rubbing the knobs on the front and turning on the front INFERNO BURNERS AT MY ARM. I cant reach the matching microwave above either. The front inferno burners start on high then can be turned down. It happens every time I go near the thing. Either I inadvertently turn on the fire or just the gas a little and dont realize it until I smell the strong odor of natural gas. Tons of other problems, but this is the worst of all. I called the manufacturer and they call it Buyers remorse and wont give me a credit back. Tim at Freds Appliance just never returns my calls for a manager to call me. I WANT A DIFFERENT RANGE. Buyers remorse? You betcha!!! Never Freds Appliance or Whirlpool again. IF I GET BURNED I WILL PROVE IT IS DANGEROUS IN A CIVIL LAWSUIT. The manufacturer stated on 5/6/16 that there is nothing wrong with the design of this range. I do believe that the other comments are true and my salesman Tim at Freds Appliance lied when he said that the star score was not for the model I was purchasing. They will say anything to get your money and then disregard any further communication. I bought a full house of appliances at Freds Appliance. They know I wont be buying again for 10 years. How do they stay in business?

My family purchased a newly built home from a reputable homebuilder on December 21st 2019. On the first week of January 2020, we noticed that our upgraded Whirlpool dishwasher, model #WDT730PAHZ0 was shutting off mid cycle, resulting in dishes remaining dirty. The technician gave us an estimate of nearly $500 for replacement of pump motor assembly. He also informed us that this particular model is well known for having this defect. We are requesting that Whirlpool stand behind their reputation for producing reliable high quality products by replacing our dishwasher.

I have had this Cabrio washer and dryer for two years now and I would do better washing my things by hand. Save water, sure there is none!! I have a glass lid and I actually stood there and watched a cycle and the clothes on top never even got wet!! My whites are now gray!! Called the company to get nowhere. I am going to buy an old-fashioned washer that actually uses water. I tried to be eco-friendly but I dont like dirty clothes!!

We purchased a Whirlpool oven a year and a half ago. Today the interior glass exploded while cooking frozen French fries. Whirlpool customer service indicates that this is unusual. Whirlpool indicated that the only way they will repair it is if we pay $375. We declined to pay an additional cost for this product which failed to function safely. In a quick Google search, it appears that the oven glass fails more frequently than represented by Whirlpool. We are disappointed in this product and the companys customer support and lack willingness to correct a product safety issue.

I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator Model # WRF990SLAM00 in May of 2013. My wife started noticing ice build up on the ice maker in the refrigerator section of this French Door model. We had it serviced for the same problem 4 times and the problem still existed. At this point, Whirlpool offer to give us our money back, and here is where things got interesting. My wife spoke with a Sheila who was to issue a check to a third party company who would then pick up the refrigerator and give us the check. Sounds simple enough, huh? The company was to get the check in 7-10 business days so we bought a new refrigerator, a Samsung this time, and scheduled its delivery for the time frame we were told the non-functioning fridge would be picked up. My wife could not get in touch with Sheila, which was always a problem, and we talked to a Beth who told us that this whole process had not even been started yet. Well, we are having our new fridge delivered and still waiting on our check and for someone to come and pick up this American-made piece of crap! We wanted to buy American, but this is what we got, a piece of crap!!

I bought my washer duet (model WFW94HEXL2) in Sept. 2011. Today is Jan. 2013 and it has been a year and four months since I got the washer. I decided not to buy an extended warranty. Its only my husband and I at the house so we take really good care of our appliances. The washer stopped working and is giving me a code F-6/E3/E1. Basically, I need to change the central control unit ($350), door latch ($120) and labor ($180), for a total of $656.13. Really? I paid $1,105.00 for the washer. Im really upset. I called Whirlpool and they said the item is out the warranty and there is nothing they can do. I am really upset.

What is the brilliant idea of a mode dial on a washing machine that needs to be pushed in or pulled out to engage its function??? In other words, why is there a free-spin mode of THE DIAL itself? Okay. IN OTHER WORDS, why not just let the handle part of the dial stay affixed to the red line mark, so that they continuously turn together at ALL times???

I bought a HD Whirlpool in April 2011 and I hate the machine. It does not use enough water to wash clothes. I open the lid every wash and cannot believe Whirlpool can label this as a washing machine; it spits a little water now and then. I am demanding Lowes and Whirlpool to replace the washer. I have used two Kenmore washer for 45 years and I never had any problems. I use hot water to kill germs -- well there is not enough water to drown a fly. How can these manufacturers sell such product and then give the consumer such a hard time when they ask for help. Dark clothes have white residue stuff all over them. I have to hand-wash a lot of my clothes. I have never in 45 years had to do this. I am so mad that Whirlpool is taking everyone for suckers. Now I am sure that there are a lot of people who just never take the time to complain; too much trouble and just go buy another brand of machine. We consumers need to demand that manufacturers sell quality products.

My brand new oven kept turning off automatically. When reported, they kept sending a technician who kept lying to both parties regarding what the issue was. Whirlpool customer service people have been extremely rude and declined to fix the issue although my oven was under warranty without giving me proper reasoning for their actions. I am truly dumbfounded with this experience!

I purchased this washer brand new just 2 years ago. It started making loud crackling noises approximately 3 mos ago. Yesterday it decided it did not want to spin or drain. Today a repairmen tells me its a wash. The computer screen has gone wacky and the cost to replace that will be well over $400, almost to the penny what I spent 2 years ago. This is not a good product Whirlpool and i trusted you since my previous washer lasted over 15 years. I need a refund and a new washer! Disgusted!

I bought my Whirlpool top loading washing machine 07-22-14. I so dislike the locking mechanism and will be certain to never, ever buy a machine with that feature again. It is so irritating to try to add something but cant because its locked so have to hold the button 3 seconds to unlock and start all over. If there was any way to get around it I would. I will stay away from Whirlpool products in the future and will be sure to check the next time I buy that the lid of the washer can be lifted when not spinning. Also, I do not like that it sticks on rinse sometimes and the only way to end a cycle is to hold the button and then start over with much wasted water.

I have a front load Whirlpool Washer and it has leaked within 6 months of having it. The rubber piece was replaced and it still leaked. Whirlpool wont take responsibility for its product. I have to put towels down around the washer every time I use it because it leaks. I purchased this because it is more economical to use a front load but not when water is leaking from the washer.

I purchased a new home and then purchased 4 appliances, all Whirlpool Gold. In less than a year, the stoves electronic ignition and the microwave hood keypad went out. Since they were under warranty, a repairman replaced a bunch of parts and now they are working fine. One month after the refrigerator was out of warranty, the water line to the ice cube maker split about an inch and a half and water would spew out onto the hardwood floor under the unit. We were on vacation for all that month and didnt see any damage until one day there was a puddle in front of the refrigerator. When we pulled it out, we saw that the floor was ruined under the unit, the cabinet next to it black with mold and of course, the line had to be replaced. Whirlpool wasnt interested in the fact that the refrigerator had probably still been under warranty when the split occurred, only that we hadnt reported it before the warranty expired. Next to go was the water seal that goes on the inside of the door of the dishwasher. I was running it about a month after the refrigerator debacle and water came spewing out of the side. The seal had come out and nothing was stopping the water from exiting out the side of the door. Thats 4 for 4 in less than 15 months. I will never buy a Whirlpool product. They couldnt be any worse.

We have never had problems with our old Kenmore appliances. Since we have had the Whirlpool complete set we have had problems with both the Refrigerator and now the Stove. The fridge had already been re-engineered by the time the repair man got here but the fix didnt work. We had a 50 degree refrigerator for over a month. Now the stove wont keep a constant temperature so we wait for the service man once again. They look beautiful but they are the worst we have owned over our 36 years. They obviously have engineering issues looking at all the other reviews. I dont see us purchasing another Whirlpool appliance in the future.

I bought a new Whirlpool French Door bottom-freezer refrigerator at Lowes in September 2010. I started seeing ice form in the bottom of the freezer compartment in July 2011. I cleaned it out, thought maybe the door had not sealed good. In a few weeks, it had formed again. I checked for leaks at ice maker. I noticed a condensate was also freezing on the back wall. I called Whirlpool in October 2011 to see what could be done, since the problem began before warranty had expired. (The warranty expired in September.) I was told by 3 different Whirlpool reps that they would not cover any of the costs of repair, but they suspected it was the auto defrost system and they would be glad to line up a repair person.Most of my appliances over the last twenty years have been Whirlpool, and I have had good service out of them other than a microwave that had a recall and that Whirlpool repaired. I was shocked that Whirlpool would not back up their product any better than this, especially since it is one of their higher-end models. Im not sure why Whirlpool has a customer service (or disservice) line to call. They were very uninterested in helping me. I can call my own repair person. I was insulted by the manner that the helpline personnel spoke to me. My experience has convinced me to try a different brand other than Whirlpool for all my future purchases.

Whirlpool electric range oven wont turn off. Used the oven 2 or so times per year.... Very unsafe, expecting internal breaker that would shut the thing down. Whirlpool Range/Oven PT3196685 happened on 6-10-2014, was baking cookies with timer on for 9 min. First batch turn out good, 2nd batch on fire before even get to 6 min, the burner is brightly hot and cant shut off from the panel... Saw ERR then COOL indicator... Tried but no respond from panel. The burner element wont turn off and temp keep rising white hot... The only way to shutoff is the house circuit breaker. But soon you turn on the breaker, the oven would turn on by itself and you cant switch it off. Where is the safety breaker on these range/oven when something goes beyond 500 degree..... UNSAFE PRODUCT. Ordered a new Whirlpool Gold 700 series but canceled after discovered others experienced similar situation with the new product. Could have burn down the house and worst when lives involved. WONDER IF ANYTHING WAS DONE TO CORRECT THESE SAFETY ISSUE.

My gas range doesnt work all that well. Sometimes the flame catches and lights, sometimes it doesnt. Oven seems to be less than steady in cooking. It is ok, but I wouldnt buy again.

From the beginning, we were not really happy with the performance of the machine, which we felt was not cleaning as well as it should. Now it doesnt take the soap at all. The washing process goes on perfectly but without soap, so the dishes remain dirty.

I purchased a front loading Whirlpool washing machine March 2017. I have need to have the drain pump replaced and the motherboard replaced. Each repair took 30 to 45 days to get parts and service. I would not recommend the washing machine.

Last year, our clothes started coming out too wrinkled. And until recently, its making a loud noise like an airplane. I called Whirlpool, and the only help they can give me is finding a company that would do service and would charge a lot.

My wife and I spent about $2500 on a new Whirlpool Dutch Door fridge five years ago. 18 months later the evaporator went out and the warranty was only good for one year! We bought an extended warranty, got it fixed and the other evaporator went out less than a year later after that! Next, the circuit board control on the crisper went out. Then, the water filter would not disengage and a repairman had to take the fridge apart just to put in a new filter! And now, the ice-maker has gone out and the fan is icing up like another evaporator is going... Insane! Our warranty is up next year. Once the warranty ends we will start shopping for another unit - and it wont be a Whirlpool - thats for sure. I have never owned anything this unreliable in my entire life! Also, I would say most of the time we have owned this piece of you-know-what it has made a loud disturbing fan noise... What a waste of good money! Run! Run far, far away!!!

Absolutely love the oven/range electric smooth top! Cleans up well. Works well. We bought new along with refrigerator and microwave as a set. We had problem with icemaker, told us we needed new door (well within warranty coverage) then wrong door was sent and company told us that they could only send one door and that was it. Incorrect door sent back. Repairman attempted to fix several more times. We finally quit trying. Husband says we can never buy Whirlpool again.

Inconsistent freezer and frig temperatures, with vegetables and fruits freezing in the fridge, even when temperature is properly set. Freezer control knob and vents too easily blocked. Unit is very noisy.

I had sold appliance for ten years. I purchase a Whirlpool Cabrio 2010. After two years started rusting. It is rusting on the outside and now on the inside, that I cannot wash delicates or whites. I so disappointed. I had lots of confidence in Whirlpool. The model is wtw7300xwo... I call talk to whirlpool but got no help. Now I going to need to purchase a new washer. It will not be a Whirlpool.

We bought this washer on 9/05/09. Recently, it sprung a leak due to a worn out seal that the repairman said would cost more to fix than just getting another washer. You would think this might be cause for distress, but I literally jumped in the air and clicked my heels with joy! This washer has been nothing but a pain. First of all, I have to pre-soak every load before washing or the clothes come out just as dirty as they went in. I would set the timer on my stove to let me know when the 40 min soak cycle ended so I could change it to wash. Then I reset the timer for another 40 minutes. I also learned the hard way, that using any kind of heavy duty setting would turn towels into a pile of yarn. This washer cost $998, and guilt is the only reason I didnt replace it years ago. Ding Dong the washer is DEAD!!!

The Gold Series Whirlpool dishwasher has some cool features for changing the configuration of the shelves, etc. After that its all downhill. Poor washing, worse drying. In the past 6 months Ive tried: less dishes, redistribute them differently every use, lower/raise upper shelf, use liquid detergent, powder packets, drying agent... nada. Absolutely NO remnant of food can be on the dishes. Of course I rinse everything well prior to loading washer; this one wants them CLEANED. I dont give a flying fig how loud a machine is as long as its doing its job. This one quietly does very little. AND the genius who designed that horrid cutlery basket needs a new job.The basket slides onto the inside of the door, making it difficult to reach into; it can sit on the outside of the lower tray but it falls off at the slightest disturbance. The baskets are narrow with hinged lids; the lids have small and medium slits so items are placed individually. If your cutlery is the right size! Ours is a little wide in the handle, they dont fit and must be placed into the opened, narrow baskets and butt up against each other. We are only 2 folks, I cook one meal a day and run the washer TWICE because bowls and pots take up the entire space, so I either wash the remainder by hand or keep the sink full of dirty pots and dishes. LOVELY. Bring back the old washer!!!

Bought it less than 2 months ago. It doesnt wash. It doesnt spend. It works every 2-3 hours if Im lucky. Its the worst product ever. Its not like it was refurbished. It was brand new. Smh. I thought it would save me money by buying a washer. Off to the laundromat I go. I do not recommend this product especially to someone who has a family and on a budget.

This machine has had so many repairs that whirlpool should of replaced it. Now the machine is making a clicking sound when you turn it on to do a load of wash. It clicks for a few minutes then tries to sense whats in the machine then starts clicking again. Clothes come out of machine half wet. Queen sheets are dry in the middle. Water NEVER even touch the middle of the machine drum. All around nightmare with this machine. Would not buy another whirlpool because the customer service that I was given was terrible.

I live in Florida and in December 2012, purchased a Whirlpool upright freezer from my local Badcocks. About two months after the purchase it started making this weird loud sound. I contacted Whirlpool and they sent a local appliance company technician out to check it. The technician ripped my brand new Linoleum floor when pulling out the freezer. The result was, in his opinion, nothing was wrong with it, that the loud sound was normal. As it continued, another tech came out and his opinion was it needed a new compressor. So, it was replaced and lasted about a month. I was getting something out for dinner and noticed everything in my freezer was unthawed... all that money wasted a freezer full of food gone. So, Whirlpool once again sent the same appliance company out but a different technician. This one said it that he needed to order parts which he did, a different tech came out to install the parts and told us he didnt know what they were for and our freezer didnt need the parts the previous tech ordered. So this tech put dye in the lines and left. The dye leaked out from under my freezer all over the floor which is now stained because of the dye that leaked. This is the brand new floor they had already ripped during the first service call. So, now not only is my floor ripped but stained as well.Once again, about a month later, I find my freezer full of meat unthawed a third time. Once again I called and find out they have dropped the contract with the company that came out the first two times. So they refer me to another local appliance repair, and this new tech says that it needs a new compressor. This will be the second new one in less than 6 months. They order that part and repair the freezer; this fix lasted for about three months this time. On my fourth call to Whirlpool, I expressed my frustration with losing my food and the hassle of an inferior product purchased brand new under warranty. I definitely was not satisfied with the service and the customer service representative could not find my warranty record. He was also very rude and when he finally found my record, he told me I was no longer under Whirlpool warranty. This was wrong as I have my paperwork showing date of purchase AND the four-year extended warranty we purchased as well. I asked him what they would do for me since their inferior appliance and incompetent repair technicians cost me hundreds of dollars of ruined meat and other frozen food. He said they would do nothing except have another repair tech come out. Until the freezer is determined to be unrepairable that is all they can do.So I scheduled the tech to come out the fourth time and he found that some untrained tech had put oil in the line and the lines and compressor has to be replaced and flushed. I have already not had a freezer for a week waiting for tech to come out and now the parts are put on back order for another three weeks. The fourth repair tech called Whirlpool from my home, while I was standing there, and told them that it basically is beyond repair because of the price of parts and labor. He told Whirlpool it would be cheaper to replace the freezer but Whirlpool told the tech to replace the lines and compressor and flush everything out. So three weeks later, he comes back out on 10/13/2013 to make the repairs. I bought this freezer in December 2012 for $1200 and have been dealing with issues on and off since Feb. 2013 and now its 11/29/13 and once again my freezer has stopped working. I have lost all my food because Whirlpool sold me a defective appliance and would not make it right. I have asked them to replace it and they wouldnt. My husband and I have just purchased our second house and we were very excited about the remodel coming up in the kitchen. We were going to purchase stainless steel Whirlpool appliances, but after this company has treated me so badly, I will not buy anything with the Whirlpool name for our stove, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator.We probably would have spent about $3500 on appliances, but we will purchase a different brand and give our $3500 to a company that will treat me better as a customer .I used to have trust in this company because it is well known for quality products, but I dont trust them anymore. I will advise any of my loved ones and friends not to purchase any Whirlpool appliance because of the inferior quality and lack of interest in making this situation right. I tried for almost a year and gave them 5 opportunities to do the right thing and now Im done. They dont care about the customer and that is a shame because they have lost a valued customer. As of now I have another tech coming Tuesday b/c my freezer is sitting not running again. Model #EV201NZTQ02.

If I could give no stars I would. I own the Whirlpool Cabrio, which I bought only 2 years ago. Im on my 3rd service call. They replaced my board after only 1 year of owning it and now 2years later its the same error message (F6E2), the board again. Besides this problem the machine is horrible! Every load has to be done on the deep water mode or else your clothes will come out with dry areas. Forget about darks - they come out with lint and soap residue all over them. So for darks you have to use extra rinse cycle but still the clothes come out with lint all over them. Laundry has turned into a nightmare for me. And the clothes arent clean. If I dont spray and scrub any stains, the clothes come out with the stain still on them. Dirty white socks come out dirty, even with bleachI dont use warm water on my clothes because it shrinks them and I dont put all of my clothes in the dryer because it shrinks them. So I am constantly using lint rolls, like crazy on all my darks. And even though the machine is very large I was told to never put a lot of laundry in it because nothing will get clean. So now I have to do more loads of wash. Doing laundry has turned into a job, a horrible job that takes hours. So now I have to use deep water, extra rinse and smaller loads so how is this energy efficient - its NOT, its the opposite of efficient. I am doing more wash and using more water. I use liquid HE detergent like they said. I clean my washer when it lights up to clean it. I dont know what else to do. I just called whirlpool about all of this and my second board being broke within 2 yrs and they dont stand by their products. I have to just keep getting it fixed through my extended warranty company. Thank goodness I bought an extended warranty.I would never ever buy anything whirlpool again! Dont buy this washer if its still available, it is the worst. Even if cabrio isnt available (which I dont see on their site) I still wouldnt buy whirlpool. They should replace my machine with a different one at this point. Not that I want another whirlpool but at least I would have a machine that works. This machine completely stopped working after the error code so I have no machine for 4 days now. I waiting for my extended warranty to get back to me and then I have to make an appointment for the appliance company to come and fix it. This is crazy. All these days and I cant do laundry. I purchased a new French door refrigerator in May of 2016. Professionally installed. Last May 2017 icemaker stopped working and was replaced. June 2018 icemaker stopped working. This part of the refrigerator is poor quality and because of that I will never purchase another Whirlpool appliance. They use to be good quality and dependable. Not anymore.

Purchased a new Whirlpool water heater from Lowes. Two days into the reset switch kept tripping, Whirlpool wanted me to wait for someone to repair it. Lowes exchanged it for me. When I called Whirlpool service myself, Jessie was in technical support could have careless about my business and was dismissive about any issues or concerns I was having. This will be my last Whirlpool product ever.

My brand new top-loading, high efficiency washer has squealed like a banshee from day one. Whirlpool replaced the main agitator part, with no success. It still squeals so loud, you cant have a conversation in the same room. Now, Whirlpool says that it is normal. No, it is not normal for a washer to squeal so loud. I am still waiting on Whirlpool to replace the same part they replaced the last time. We are still not abe to hear each other over the squeal of our new Whirlpool washer. This is not normal.

The washer has a convenient water level feature which enables conservation. The dryer also feature multiple heat/timing features, another conservation plus. Both are compact and easily loaded and unloaded. The multiple alerts at the ending of the dryer cycles are a convenience.

Havent even had the Cabrio washer for three years & Ive hated it since day one!!! First, our clothes dont come out clean OR come out with white streaks (changed soap, still happened!). Washing bedding is a nightmare! They are sopping wet & I have to wring it out. Finally broke down today & the repairman quoted over $600 to fix (paid $800). Take this piece of junk away!!! It cost me less to replace than get fixed; way to help the environment!

My refrigerator & dishwasher were purchased less than a year ago. Ive already had all the doors replaced on the fridge and the new ones are rusting. Discovered same issue with the dishwasher. The company doesnt seem to be overly concerned with remedying the issue. No sense of urgency or concern for the customer.

I submitted a complaint several days ago about my 3-year old Whirlpool Duet washer not working and costing $550 to fix. I decided to just replace it so my husband unhooked it this morning. We were going to to try to sell it on Craigslist as is. I pulled out the laundry detergent compartment to clean it because I had filled it with detergent and fabric softener the other day. The smell that came from inside the washer where the detergent is dispensed was awful. I looked inside and it was completely filled with mold. I had periodically run the clean cycle with bleach but apparently this did nothing. I am writing this second review to warn people about this. I am going to just trash the washer now and I hope this has not affected our health in any way. For those of you who are thinking about purchasing this washer or one similar, I strongly urge you to stick with the plain old top loader. That is what I am going back to.

We bought the Cabrio washer and dryer on June 2008, and it wasnt very long after that, that we had to have a repair done. Then, it started twisting the clothes and the sheets into a big knot. Two king size sheets and 2 pillow cases got so twisted that they are no bigger than a watermelon, and believe me, they are very hard to untangle when they are soaking wet. The machine in the drying cycle sounds like a commercial jet taking off. We can hardly talk above the roar of that thing. I hate it with a passion. Whirlpool used to be all we bought, but that is going to change.Linda

I had my Whirlpool electric stove for about fifteen years, I have had a couple minor problems with it. The oven temperature sensor went out, I bought a new one online and replaced it. The stove top eyes get warped from uses. Really no big deal. Ive had good luck with it over the years. Its the standard 30 inch white. I paid over $400. It will probably last me another 15 years, I dont see why it wouldnt. But then I know how to fix appliances. I think the only reason why anyone would replace a stove is because of the color or it caught fire or wont come clean. The mechanical isnt a problem because you can rebuild them so easy.

Long story short is that my dishwasher was 7 months old and two parts went out on it. 4 months (and almost 3 hours total on the phone) later it still does not work. Whirlpool only has one repair person in our area and that person is a small business owner who works alone and is now in his 2nd week of vacation leaving no one else in his shop to do repair while he is out. I do not know if my part is ordered nor do I have a repair date! Never will I ever again purchase a $900.00 dishwasher or any appliance from Whirlpool!

I recently purchased a top of the line self-cleaning Whirlpool/KitchenAid range. Or so I thought. I used the self-cleaning feature for the first time only to find out it literally does not do anything. Whirlpool quickly answered my Saturday morning phone call and were very professional. When I told them the Aqualift did not work, they asked if I purchased the Aqualift kit. No, what does it contain? Two sponges and a scraper. Basically I was told I would have to clean the oven manually. That would be fine except I have osteoarthritis and cannot clean it manually. Shame on Whirlpool and KitchenAid and Consumer Reports for not doing their due diligence and not testing important features accurately, over a greater period of time with real day-to-day scenarios with people who actually know what they are doing.

Whirlpool washing machine model WCW4950XW2 - We have a barely two year washing machine that we purchased at Best Buy and it no longer drains or spins. After $100 repair call we were told that this is a common problem with this model. It is a transmission problem, and with the way the machine is built a repair person cannot get into the transmission to fix it. He suggested we buy a new washing machine. This is a travesty on so many levels! If whirlpool know it has a problem it should offer a partial refund for the purchase of a newer better machine. I keep thinking about what our landfill in this world look like with the proliferation of appliances that are engineered to last a year or two. I can guarantee you I will never purchase any Whirlpool produce again, and I will research whether other brands are associated with the whirlpool brand before I buy it. Sad that a once good company has gone to hell.

We purchased a Cabrio top loading washer (WTW6400SW2) and a Cabrio dryer (WGD6200SW1) in 2007. From day one the washer has tied clothes in knots, never cleaned the clothes properly, and sputters the detergent and bleach unevenly. The fabric softener dispenser clogs up too, rendering it useless. The knotting of the clothes leaves them so tightly wrinkled they come out of the dryer very wrinkled. The water level, determined by the washers self-sensor that weighs each load, does not fully submerge the clothes. The manual says this is normal operation for this model and that it will not affect the cleaning process. Wrong. The small agitator is insufficient to clean the clothes but does a wonderful job of twisting them in long, tight knots. I want to kick myself every time I walk past the washer for paying so much money for such a poorly designed washer. I was very sick when they were first delivered and wasnt able to do much laundry. By the time I was well enough to do more with it, I noticed the clothes werent getting clean and were actually being damaged by the washers process thanks to uneven detergent distribution/spotting from the clothes sitting above the water level, and being poorly agitated and rinsed. Before I knew it, my warranty had expired. It was a very hectic year. Ive been very sick. We purchased it from Lowe’s. I had their techs out a time or two to check it in the beginning, but they always smoothed it over with some waffy, generic explanation. Eventually, I was past my 30-day trial period. I was on my own with Whirlpool, whod refer me to the manual and make me feel like I just had to get used to the new technology of the self-sensoring washer. Ive read that Whirlpool is aware of this issue and doing nothing. Ive read other complaints that describe the same problems I have and its obvious this is a design flaw. I appreciate these posts because I least I dont feel like Im insane anymore. No, just horribly ripped off by Whirlpool.

Whirlpool ED5FVGXWS refrigerator compressor failed after 24 months. No help from Whirlpool as the said 12-month warranty had run out. I do understand it’s my bad luck, but they really should try harder to back the products they make. Two years on a compressor is totally unacceptable. They could care less. I even proposed a $200 rebate on a new Whirlpool fridge. My bad luck wasn’t the compressor going out, it was buying the fridge in the first place. Shame on you Whirlpool! Viva la Mexico! They told me I could use it as a boat anchor.

Has multiple wash Cycles. Big enough to wash a comforter. Has a delay setting so I can set it 8 hours in advance. Easy to load, easy to add the wash ingredients. Its a top load so its easy to get everything in and out.

We purchased this washer in April two years ago. I have had service people out twice to replace the lid. Tonight, my husband comes into the kitchen with chunks of something that I could not readily identify. He tells me the entire frame holding the light has rusted out and that the light is hanging into the tub! I followed him into our air conditioned interior laundry room and placed my hand under the rim. It’s filled with rust and the light is dangling down into the tub!

Like the load sensor feature the best, so economical, the drum is oversized to wash duvets and heavy blankets. The fact that the washer and dryer are stackable makes them ideal for apartment living.

I purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave (model #YWMH31017AS-1) in April 2013, and had it installed in August of same year. It worked fine up until November 2014 - just over one year later. Everything on it works, except for the most important feature - IT DOESNT HEAT ANYTHING UP. Doesnt matter how long you set the timer for - the contents come out stone cold! I called Whirlpools 1-800 number and was told that because I did not purchase the extended warranty, I was responsible for all parts and labor costs. I find this completely unacceptable! I have had cheap $70 microwaves that have lasted 15-20 years. I will never buy another Whirlpool product, and am telling everyone I know to do the same!

We bought a Whirlpool with convection oven, it is beautiful and very well designed and fully electronic. You can only control it via touchscreen Which, when the software runs into blocks, it is impossible to troubleshoot efficiently, you just have to wait until it completes its rebooting. It is very frustrating to spend hundreds of euros in a device you just cant control when it crashes. Horrible programming made for a horrible user experience. You have the feeling of not being able to use it or fix, it is like having a mobile phone or computer Which only works on what appears to be a random logic. The errors displayed on the screen are often vague and the user troubleshooting manual is just plain short. We will return it without doubt and dont recommended ever buying this device.

Purchased a gas hot water heater from Lowes in October 2015. Installed the hot water tank and two months later started smelling a faint gas smell coming from around the Honeywell box. Called Whirlpool and they thought it was the gas valve and replaced part, but had to pay $30 for overnight shipping. Had plumber install new part and did not fix the issue. Called plumber back out and he found a small pin hole size leak behind pilot light. Patched the leak and still had a gas smell coming from around the Honeywell box. Called Whirlpool back and after some back and forth was able to get hot water tank replaced, since it was only two months old and should not need any maintenance that soon. Replaced water heater with new tank and this tank has a gas smell coming from around the Honeywell box as well. We replaced all our lines and even had the fire department check out our gas lines. Could not find anything. I am still baffled as to why this tank has a gas smell coming from the Honeywell box. I cant seem to find anyone else having this issue. Whirlpool or Lowes has not been any help. Ready to unhook it and buy another brand. Anyone have this issue?

We bought a new Whirlpool side by side refrigerator almost a year ago based on good reviews. There are many things that we love about it; however it has had ongoing problems and the the latest one cannot seem to be fixed despite multiple repair calls by two different repair services. The service center has been responsive and even extended our warranty but we are getting tired calling them and having repair people in our home. At what point does Whirlpool consider its appliances to be lemons and replace them?

I own an FG flame lock water heater and have been having the same problems with the pilot light not staying lit. This is very frustrating! I have searched many websites and am not able to find a replacement thermocouple for the stupid thing. Also, I have been told that the parts for the type of water heater that I own is no longer available. I tried to call the Whirlpool number a handful of times, but unfortunately, I was on hold the entire time and could not speak with a rep. I guess that explains all of the complaints I have read on here. I would like to be contacted or have help from someone regarding this matter! I would not recommend this product to anyone and I am very dissatisfied!

We purchased an over-the-stove Whirlpool microwave in January 2011, when we remodeled our kitchen. In May 2014 after a loud pop, the microwave stopped working. This was Model # GMH6185XVS-1. Of course, the warranty is no longer in effect. I feel a high-end appliance that cost $500 should last longer than 3 years. I will not purchase another Whirlpool product.

I purchased a front loader Whirlpool Cabrio washer/dryer in June of 2011. I was sold an extended warranty which ends June 30 of this year. I have made 4 calls to the Co which warranties the washer because it is making squeaking noises on the spin cycle. I was refused service because the customer service rep didnt “hear” anything. I finally had a local service Co check out the machine and was told the motor needs to be replaced and if under warranty I should demand it be replaced. I called again and still cannot get NSI to come out and see the problem.

We had Lowes install a Whirlpool model Nu40T121-403 natural gas water heater early October 2012. The temp controller went out in October of 2014. I replaced the controller myself at a cost of $30 for overnight UPS from the manufacturer, American Water Heater. The controller went out again almost exactly one year later and I again replaced it for the $30 shipping charge. In both instances the customer service person told me the malfunction was probably due to my not flushing the heater annually, causing a sediment buildup. The water to the heater not only flushed annually, but is filtered through a water softener and there was absolutely no evidence of sediment in the drain water or on the part of the control that is in the tank. Now it has stopped working a third time. I called Lowes about replacing it, but they only carry Whirlpool, so wont be buying a replacement from them.

For years, Whirlpool has had an outstanding reputation for quality, so I cannot understand why a refrigerator I have owned less than three years has to have all the shelves and bins replaced. Not the glass, just the plastic. They actually started breaking the first year. I have literally had to tape my shelves together. These are very expensive and yet they are very low quality and of course are not covered on the warranty.The plastic is not built to withstand the cold and/or weight of food products. They need to get rid of the plastic and replace it with metal. I dont want to replace them with the same low grade products. I own the model ED5JHEXTB00 serial # HRU4010107. Also, the ice maker has been replaced twice. What has happened to Whirlpool

We purchased our Whirlpool Front Loading HE Washing Machine a year and ten months ago from Future Shop, and now it has failed. After paying about $100 for a service call, we were told we need to order a motor control board that will cost an additional $397 plus tax, plus installation. Because it is off warranty, this means my $1030 washing machine that is less than two years old will cost me about $680 to repair! My parents old top loading washing machine still works after 30 years. And now I notice that so many other people have had the exact same problem. Why hasnt Whirlpool fixed this issue? This is criminal! What on earth is going on here? I was under the impression that Whirlpool was a top-notch brand.

Whirlpool 29 cu ft French Door Refrigerator WRF989SDAM - We purchased this refrigerator September 2013 for our new home. We moved in November 18, 2013. The refrigerator made a very loud buzzing/humming noise from the beginning and did not make enough ice. The shop we bought it from came on 2 occasions to work on the ice maker and finally totally replaced it. Then the rack on the bottom of the left door fell out and contained glass jars of pickled vegetables. They broke and made a big mess and etched our travertine tile floor. We called the shop and they sent their son out who put the rack in with duct tape which of course did not work so we took it out and put it in the cabinet. We had to pay to have the tile polished to remove the etching. On the weekend of November 15, 2014 the humming noise was so loud that we called the repair person again and they came out on November 17, 2014. At first they thought it was a fan motor but the freezer started making a loud noise and the owner came and said the compressor was going out. Our food was beginning to thaw and we asked if they could at least loan us a refrigerator to use. They brought us an old small fridge which was put in the garage. We took all our food out there. They came November 25 and picked up the fridge to be repaired. We had been told the warranty was out but after calling your company they were told Whirlpool would cover parts and labor. Today is Thanksgiving Day and we can not cook a big meal due to the small fridge and freezer and we are buying bags of ice every day. We have family visiting and must go out for dinner. We have no idea of when our refrigerator will be returned to us. This has been an expensive and disappointing experience. I would never recommend your refrigerator to anyone due to this experience. I really feel we should have been offered a new refrigerator at a discount. We bought all our appliances from Dons Appliances in Okeechobee, FL 34974 and they are all Whirlpool. This refrigerator cost $2299 and our total order was $9,642.84. We would appreciate a response from your company.

I bought refrigerator in Feb 2017. Within 18 months internal surface got crack, contacted customer care but I would say Whirlpool India customer care department is worst across world, no courtesy towards customers, contacted them over phone very bad attitude, no response on email. Product quality is worst, its better to buy Indian brands. They are much better in quality & service. Totally dissatisfied with Whirlpool approach, at the end Whirlpool customer care is not at all bothered.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio on October 27th, 2010. The Cabrio is always giving me the UL code, which indicates the load isnt in balance. Ive been doing laundry for 27 years. I know how to load dirty clothes into a washing machine evenly. Sometimes it will take me all day to do one load of laundry! Seven months after my purchase, my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine started giving me the F51 error code. I called the phone number on my Lowes receipt for warranty work. Two weeks later, I finally had my washing machine running again. I was happy and thought Id only have to deal with the UL code. Boy was I wrong?!Now Im two weeks away from my warranty expiring. Im getting the F51 error code again! This washing machine is an $800 piece of junk! Hopefully, I can get the Cabrio repaired before my warranty expires in two weeks. I do a lot of laundry. We are a family of six. So, I know Im hard on washing machines but come on. Shouldnt an $800 washing machine last at least two years? Im not even a full year into owning this junky washer and Ive had two breakdowns! In my opinion, this washing machine needs to be recalled and people need a reliable replacement or refund.

We purchased this Whirlpool washer 5640XW3 from Lowes. It doesnt clean the clothes. Even if I run them through a second wash cycle, the clothes are still not clean. Called Whirlpool and they said nothing is wrong with it. I use HE detergent and load clothes around the agitator as directed in the manual. Still, clothes are not clean.

Very unreliable oven. Oven temperature never seems to get to the proper setting. Do not buy any Whirlpool appliance. They do not stand behind their product. A stove should be relatively simple but Whirlpool managed to produce a product that is complicated & unreliable.

Cannot reinstall oven door after glass cleaning. The worst design and absolutely no support from Whirpool. They said the instructions are in the Manual. NOT TRUE!!!. Our long and tortuous experience began in 2013 and continues to this day. But Ill just give the headlines. In August 2013 we bought Whirlpool BTM French Door KFIS20XVMS11 from Lowes. Three years later we learned that model number appeared on the attached recall notice which had been issued just days before our unit was delivered in September. Neither Lowes nor Whirlpool notified us of this recall which described a simple repair to a part that was leaking so slowly that its effects took three years to show up in a destroyed floor and cabinet enclosure that will cost $2981 (and still rising) to repair.We called AIG, the company behind the extended warranty provider, and they responded promptly by dispatching a Whirlpool factory authorized service technician who attempted unsuccessfully to drag the unit from its alcove over the warped, erupted floor beneath. With the refrigerator half-way out of its enclosure, the technician stopped and asked us to sign a waiver of liability. When we refused, he announced that the problem was water damage and he jammed the unit back into place, leaving dents in both doors and the freezer drawer below.We went to Lowes, who strung us along for several months before sending an engineer whose report concluded that the problem was a manufacturers defect (The Lowes engineer and his associate damaged the unit further when they forced it back into place over a floor made more uneven when they removed the pieces of rotted oak shown in the accompanying photo.). Based upon the engineers report, which Lowes said it had no duty to share, we were given a 1-800 number for Whirlpool customer service, with assurance that we would be taken care of. Although we had to start from cold without the engineers report, Whirlpool customer service was initially very accommodating and gave us hope. For a moment, I thought we were going to get resolution. They assigned a case number and we supplied the requested documentation. That was on a Friday in March, 2017.Monday we were surprised to receive a sternly worded notice from the Whirlpool Law Department that a clerk there would be taking over our case. We realized that we were far from resolution. Why did the Law Department intervene? We dont know. We guess it may be because they want to avoid a class action lawsuit on behalf of possibly thousands of leaky refrigerator owners (Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air and Amana units were all among the affected). In any case, since January we have been monkey-in-the middle among Whirlpools various departments, Lowes various departments and AIG, with no progress. What do we want? We just want things back the way they were before our leaky refrigerator did its damage and before Lowes and Whirlpool demolished our good as new looking KitchenAid refrigerator in the process of telling us they wont fix it.Footnote: We purchased all new KitchenAid Architect series appliances in August/September 2013, including top of line cooktop, dishwasher, convection microwave, convection oven and a French door cabinet depth refrigerator. Every unit except the cooktop has required warranty service, including five expensive electronic parts replacements. Fortunately we bought extended warranty service from KitchenAid/AIG, who have been terrific to deal with on the parts replacements. I dont recommend Whirlpool appliances but if you are intent on buying them, I do highly recommend extended warranties. As for the value of Whirlpools manufacturers warranty, watch this space. Ill be back with the final resolution.

Bought a model WRT318FZDW02 (top freezer) refrigerator (new) about 3 1/2 years ago and its already failing. The temperature regulation has failed and food in the lower compartment freezes while the temperature in the freezer compartment varies wildly. Unfortunately typical repair costs these days will probably make this a throw away item. Ive owned several different refrigerators over the years and theyve all lasted well beyond 10 years. I definitely cant recommend buying anything from Whirlpool these days.

I bought a house with Whirlpool appliances and I bought the extended warranty for all the appliances, I started to have issues with the refrigerator almost 4 months ago and still waiting for results, do not buy whirlpool products, every time you call the warranty department be prepared to spend at least one hour waiting for a customer representative. Buy LG or GE instead. These are excellent brands that I have owned in the past.

The Whirlpool HE H2Low Washer is the worst piece of crap Ive ever wasted my money on! It leaves soap residue on all my dark clothes! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Whirlpool should be ashamed of themselves for continue to sell these pieces of crap!

I purchased a home from Pulte and closed in June of 2020 and had no choice but to take Whirlpool appliances. Pulte does not offer high end appliances in order to maximize their profit. The first thing that failed after only 3 months was the Microwave and because we didnt want to get the same cheap microwave we upgraded and paid 400 for a Kitchen Aid, same size but never received the trim kit that matches the oven that came in sometime in October 2020. It is now January 2022 and we are still waiting for the trim kit. Every time we call to find out we spend hours on the phone.The refrigerator is a cheap version of the worst refrigerator made in China, the ice maker works ok but ice gets stuck in the chute and when it doesnt get stuck half goes to the glass and the other half to the floor. Poor design and we are stuck with it. Tried to buy an LG from Costco but it wont go through the door so again we are stuck with this small refrigerator with no room for groceries for two people. Stovetop is also cheap, only looks good the day we got the house, one of the burners would go off when turned to low with gas still flowing. Grates look 10 years old but must admit we cook every day. Oven will not calibrate and it is not accurate so we have learned to set everything 10 degrees higher to make up for the variance. Dishwasher had issues as well, unless you run it for 3 hours the shorter settings always have dishes or utensils still soiled. Warranties have expired after one year so it is now time to replace almost everything if we want decent appliances. Very disappointed but I blame Pulte for buying cheap.

I have always like the Whirlpool brand in general. It is a well known company and the products have always been of quality. I will say that recently I discovered that Whirlpool will only allow their own technicians to work on more current washers and driers and that is concerning since I have always used a technician I know and trust.

After only 6 months of use, the cooktop light bulb burned out. When I tried to replace it, the glass part of the bulb separated from the base. The bulb is screwed in so that the base faces away from the front of the microwave. With the small cavity and the backward installation, it will be impossible to remove. Now I have no light and dread how much a service call will be. The unit was installed by a contractor prior to our purchase of the house and it is now out of warranty.

Had kitchen remodeled and purchased this microwave. Now after three years the door cracked in several places and now it will not heat food. Now we will have to replace this mess. Never buy any Whirlpool appliances again!

Bought this Whirlpool washer (WTW5000DW0) to save energy and water consumption. It has been awful from day 1. Clothes come out with detergent (white marks) all over them. Clothes aren’t spun out enough to dry them. It takes FOREVER for a load to finish, I can’t imagine that this is saving me anything on electric. Waste of money. Do not buy this!

I bought a 40 gallon Whirlpool water heater product no. 0733336 and it completely broke down after one year and three months. No pilot light even. I called the number on the unit and was informed that only the cost of replacement parts would be covered by warranty. I still have to pay someone 60.00 an hour to come out and fix it. Never again will I buy a Whirlpool product.

Whirlpool Gas Water heater purchased from Lowes in 2012. Have replaced two thermal couples and three gas control valves. Will not stay lit! Problems began within six months of purchase. Third gas control valve quit functioning today and Im on my way to Home Depot to purchase a Rheem...Im done with Whirlpool!

I bought a 50 Gallon Whirlpool Gas Water Heater with an extended warranty from Lowes, it has not been delivering hot water as it should. I checked with Lowes and they told me I needed to call Whirlpool first and get a number from them before they could do anything. I called Whirlpool and they had me do a water volume and a hot water time test. By their own time test guide, my water temperature fell 30 degrees in 13 minutes and 52 seconds, when it should not have dropped 30 degrees until 18 minutes. When I reported this to Whirlpool I was told that there was nothing wrong with the water heater. I then lodged a complaint with the representative but it sounds as if nothing was going to be done.So I am out $999 for a faulty water heater and an extended warranty. Will update if anything changes. One of the reasons we bought this product was it said: MADE IN AMERICA. We wont buy any product made by Whirlpool again, We feel they dont stand behind their product.

I purchased a Whirpool fridge five years ago. To date it has had 7 repairs. The latest round has lasted over five weeks and the expensive warranty I also bought is about to run out. The repair man is on his third repair and I havent had refrigeration for five weeks. In the meantime they wont replace the fridge, and it takes two weeks between scheduled visits by the authorized repair man.
