What a horrible machine! From the day that it was installed not one time it gave me good cleaning. I spent so much money servicing it. Costed me over $700! I am done putting money into it! I am washing by hand! If you want a dishwasher where you can hand wash and God forbid your rinse with the machine (you will have to rewash everything) then this is the machine for you!

I purchased a Whirlpool stove, microwave and fridge in November 2012. The fridge model #WRT771RWYB01 has been a lemon from day 1. I have had the repairman out for the same issues multiple times. Ice build up in the freezer, water tube to the ice maker frozen, food in the fridge freezing, blah, blah. They have taped, glued, replaced everything they can and to no avail. It still happens. When you call for service, it takes 2 weeks or better to get someone out. I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product! This has truly been a nightmare experience!

Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set bought 5/25/2012 - The washing machine started beeping during the drain cycle and I have to reset it. After messing with it for around 30 minutes I can finally get it to drain. Then last night the dyer started making a loud squeal. I called and it is not under warranty anymore, so I have to flip the bill. My last $75.00 set from a church sale lasted 15 years. I paid $1,331 and this is the worst piece of crap I have ever bought. Lowes will not fix the problem when there is 1000s of complaints. I would have never paid this much, if I knew it wasnt going to last!UPDATED ON 05/15/2015: Whirlpool sent out Appliance Hospital to diagnose the problems. The washing machine needs a new tub, seals, circuit boards, drain motor etc and the dryer needs everything + an idler pulley because the original one disintegrated. The part they want me to buy is the same one that already failed. The cost to fix it, is over the amount I paid. REALLY? Somebody needs to do something to help the consumers. Blogging doesnt seem to help. I am handicapped and I have to go to the laundry mat now because I cant afford another set. DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL.

I purchased this range/electric (ygfe461lvq0) two years ago. It worked fine, but once about a year ago, the oven overheated and the breaker had to be turned off to stop it. No error codes were displayed. Year two, the oven broiler element stays on regardless if using bake or broil. Oven will go into runaway mode and breaker or cancel button has to be pushed to stop it from over heating. This range is a fire hazard and should be recalled regardless of what age it is. I called Whirlpool at Sears which recommended a tech who arrived to tell me that the control board is shot and for a price of around $400.00, it could be replaced. What is up with that? I had to pay for the expensive tech, also for 15 minutes of work. Sears says that I should have taken the extended warranty plan for around $160. Do I have to pay for an extended plan to have my house burned down due to a defect in manufacturing from Whirlpool? This is disgusting that a company can get away with crap like this. How do you people sleep at night?

A few months ago our Whirlpool microwave just completely died. We had only been in our brand new home for about 18 months at the time, so I was very disappointed. I would have bought a different brand at that time, but didnt want it to look ridiculous, as it is mounted in the cabinet above the Whirlpool oven I was shocked to get a text from my wife a couple days ago, saying the same thing had happened to our oven. I thought that it must be a circuit breaker. My parents had Whirlpool appliances in my home growing up and we never had a problem with our oven. Well... I was wrong not a circuit breaker. The thing is just dead. Nice... Thanks Whirlpool! Thanks Century Communities for installing the absolute cheapest products in my home! Wonder what will be next? Probably the range top... Ill let you know.

My new Tridel Condo came with a brand new Whirlpool washer and dryer and the washer has not been working well since the beginning. After several service calls the repairman finally gave up and now were getting a new replacement. However its been a nightmare working with them trying to get this washer replaced. The Whirlpool delivery team and the service team cant seem to coordinate a time together for the replacement. We had to make a first appointment for the service guy to uninstall the old unit, the second appt for the delivery guy to drop off the new unit and pick up the old and a 3rd appt to install the new unit. Each appt has a 4 hour wait window. This is their standard procedure, which is totally inconvenient to customers. To make matter worse, the delivery guy came too early for a condo delivery (before 9 AM) and told us he will be back the next day. And he didnt show up. It looks like now we actually have to have 5 appts (including the 2 missed appts by their delivery guy) to have the washer replaced. All the time I wasted waiting for this delivery is worth more than the washer itself. What would be 4 hours X 5 appts = 20 hours. This is the worst customer experience ever. After 3 months of constantly calling Whirlpool and still no washer. Whirlpool needs to hire some competent people who actually care about servicing their customers.

Had this model (WMH73521CS-6) installed as part of kitchen remodel. After 8 months, microwave is failing, indicating door needs to be opened, then closed to operate. This does not fix the issue or reset the condition. AND, there is no way to reset the microwave electronics, not even power cycling (unplugging and replugging from/to electrical outlet).

Bought Sep. 2012. April 2016 stopped cooling. Four visits over 4 weeks, various parts replaced, coolant refilled. Stopped cooling again soon after first 3 visits. After 4th visit cooled moderately (42 degrees) for 5 weeks. June 24, renewed service contract for 1 year for $112. July 12, stopped cooling! Took 8 days for service person to arrive; 5 days for him to tell Whirlpool that repair needed 5 parts, one of which is no longer made! But they sold me a service contract?? 16 days after initial call, Whirlpool says my case is in adjudication, which will take 7-10 business days. So I wont know what they are offering till Aug. 8th-11th. Four weeks living out of a cooler. The product is rotten, and the service is worse.Just recently discovered that all this time when I thought I was talking to Whirlpool, it was actually sub-contracted to AIG. Yes, the AIG that needed a massive government bail-out. Whirlpool customer service refused to talk to me; referred me back to AIG. The only other all-refrigerator (no freezer - I have a 20-year-old Sears freezer in the kitchen that works just fine) I can find is an inch too tall for the space. But I plan to spend for my handyman to raise the cupboard floor above, rather than buy another Whirlpool! Most of May, four weeks in July/Aug without a fridge. Hours on hold. The first service firm they used was incompetent, couldnt find the cause. I wonder how much of my $1,353 purchase cost, and my $112 service contract theyll refund?

Over the last 3 years, the self-cleaning oven has decided to lock the door and clean itself with my food still inside on five different occasions. There is no way to override the lock. We have to shut off the electric power completely then wait for the oven to cool down before we can open the door and remove the charcoal substances! This happened once while a member of our fire department was here for dinner. This is one of the most frustrating and dangerous events ever! Please, please, please do not purchase a Whirlpool self-cleaning oven! I will never purchase one again. I was so excited to have a glass top stove and the first time this happened, I thought it was just a freak occurrence. But it is happening again and again. My oven is kept clean in attempt to avoid this, but to no avail. Not only am I afraid of a fire, but Im also out too many dollars of food waste! How disappointing to be cooking dinner and have it ruined by the oven. Nothing was burning in the oven at the time it decided to lock itself either! Disappointed, frustrated, and extremely miffed!

WTW8800YWO Whirlpool Cabrio washer, 4 yrs old! Replaced!!! Its a poor quality washer -- the bearings go out. I purchased this washer and matching dryer at Lowes following a house fire. I initially thought the water saver was a good feature. Unfortunately, my clothes were not clean and were covered with lint following each wash. I have had to replace the ring inside the washer due to shifting and causing water damage to the new flooring. I soon became disappointed with my purchase, but until the noise became so loud in the spin cycle and the repair exceeded the initial costs, I kept the washer. I am another consumer who would NEVER purchase nor recommend a Whirlpool W/D. The repairman said, If you want a washer built to last, buy a Speed Queen!

Weve had our Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer just over a year. I like them both but then we are having problems with our lid. The first one cracked after 9 months and they replaced the lid. Two months later, the new one cracked and they replaced the hinges and lid again. I assure you we are very careful when lowering and lifting the lid. I do 80% and my husband does 20%, and we are very cautious of it especially after the second one broke. Now, I was just putting laundry in and the third one cracked while lifting the lid. There is obviously a problem, and Im wondering if anyone else is having the same issues. Eventually, it will crack all the way through which will cause the glass to pop up and the lid wont lock. I will not buy anything with a glass lid again!

The drip hose had to be replaced 6 months after I purchased the refrigerator. At that time the warranty covered the part but the technician told me that Whirlpool was aware of the problem. About 5 months after the warranty expired, the same problem again - ice built up on bottom of freezer and water leaking out from the left side leaving a puddle on the floor. I called Whirlpool and they said warranty is expired. I tried to tell them about the defective part but to no avail. Had to pay to have drip hose replaced again. One year after that the main CPU board went and had to be replaced ($350.00). I sent the part back to Whirlpool, registered mail, hoping they would respond with a yes, this was defective. Their response back to me was, “warranty is over.” For a main board to fail in a $1500.00 refrigerator in less than 3 years was uncalled for. Two days ago I noticed the puddle on the floor and had to call in a technician and ONCE again the drip hose had to be replaced ($160.0). He told me Whirlpool is well aware of the problem and there is a Service Pointer out on it and the code is S38211. Thanks for nothing Whirlpool. The refrigerator was a lemon and you did nothing about it. I wish I would have read these reviews first. No more Whirlpool products for me! PS. I was a dedicated fan of Whirlpool for 40 years!

We bought Whirlpool Gold Series on July 6, 2014. Refrigerator, range, microwave & dishwasher. Our refrigerator - we have the repair company out almost every month cause the icemaker was constantly icing up and wasnt making the ice cubes single, would come out all attached to each other. So after arguing with Lowes and Whirlpool we were able to get a different refrigerator in February of 2015. Now in April 2015 we are having trouble with our microwave with the light flickering off and on when we open the door and sometimes it work and sometimes it doesnt. The repair company has been out 3 times for the same problem telling me that where the door closes are 2 latches that when not lined up cause this issue, so the repair company replaced the 2 latches and a month later it started happening again. So they came out and replaced the light socket. Now we will see how long that last. Now for the range which is the AquaLift Self-Cleaning which doesnt clean the oven at all. It was like I was back in the early 1950s, only worse. The baked on grease spots, you cannot get off at all. To me this is false advertising and the stores personnel lied to about all you have to do is pour 2 cups of water in the bottom of the oven, press the self-cleaning button and after 40 minutes of cleaning and letting the oven cool a bit you just have to wipe the oven down with a damp cloth and the oven is clean. Not so much!!!Wish I had all my old appliances back because they were made to work correctly. The new appliances suck for the amount of money you pay for them. So please beware and do research on the appliances you want to purchases otherwise you will get ripped off with no satisfaction for your hard earned money you spent on them. I have always had Whirlpool appliances and have loved them but these new ones we purchased are nothing but junk.

Our trusted fix-it man came out and diagnosed it as a spin bearing problem assuring me it was not anything we had done. He stated it was a defected part or Whirlpool had never put grease in the bearings. A 450.00 part not counting diagnosis and labor. When I called Whirlpool, the first response I got was that they were sorry but we didnt buy the extended warranty, and of course the warranty it had was only a year. I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio model # wtw5500xw2 about two 1/2 years ago. Besides my clothes not clean, I havent have any problems with it until recently. Usually it doesnt spin. The clothes are left soak and wet. First the belt broke, then the lid lock, then the nut came off the pulley, then the splutch assembly. There was a few more problems in there. Now who knows what is wrong with it? It is one problem after another. It is a money trap. The CEO was just after money. There needs to be one big lawsuit against Whirlpool. After I find out what is wrong with it and the cost to fix it, I probably will just go buy a new washer/dryer set. And it will NOT be a Whirlpool.

I had my range installed in January of 2015. The very first week, using a new Farberware non-stick skillet, the cooking surface became permanently scratched. Could not polish it out, and polishing - it must be done every time you cook on it! In early September the cooling fan for the electrical panel went out. Also, the convection oven would not maintain heat. Had the cooling fan replaced last week. Its out again, along with the convection oven not maintaining a regulated temperature. Also, 3 months ago, my grandson put a ceramic casserole on the stove top. After he took it out of the oven, it permanently scratched the paint off the control panel. We purchased a Whirlpool Duet Sport Front-Loading washing machine December 5, 2006. Approximately six months later, the machine would not come on! Service determined the motherboard was faulty. Since it was under warranty, they replaced it. We continued to have the same issue with turning the machine on. The technician instructed us to hold the start button down for a minute or unplug the machine to reset it. The problem persisted. Now, we are told it needs yet another motherboard. Cost - $500! We paid about $650 for the machine! (The manufacturer only offers a one year warranty on the motherboard) What incentive do I have to purchase this part? After all, Whirlpool only warranties it for a year! That in itself, tells me they cant guarantee the quality of their product.

First Id like to start by saying anyone whom owns Whirlpool make sure to purchase every extra Warranty you can get your hands on right away. Two years ago my husband and I purchased the whole Whirlpool Appliance Kitchen Collection. The gas oven range has been my only real issue. Within a few months my oven wouldnt light. Its a good thing I noticed because there are no safety features that turn the gas off if it doesnt fire up and the gas builds up so so fast its scary. Our Warranty covered the broken igniter switch only for it to act up for over a year. We had to try several times before the oven would light until it just didnt again and it was repaired again under Warranty. Aqua Lift Technology is just something they made up to get us all to purchase it. I swear on my life it doesnt even work a tiny bit. Now, the bottom of my $800 oven is chipping away. I have not worked this out with them yet and I will repost to let others know how it works out. Liquid also gets in between glass oven door, cant ever clean it. Good luck.

Our microwave is less than 8 months old, hardly used and only for heating items. Besides the point, being under a year old. It began to make noise and pop, spark sounds with the smell of burning wires and promptly stopped working. We called the customer service line and began the long frustrating circle of completely bizarre conversation. Maintaining our belief this is a fire hazard and not wanting it in our home they insist on a repair person coming after trying to sell us Extended warranty, Why would we want Extended warranty when the warranty is NO warranty, it seems, whatsoever. After requesting to speak to a supervisor 3 times. This appointment is made with repair place and they too are confused and noted Whirlpool said this is not covered under warranty, and they too would contact them.Today Whirlpool Canada calls and gives number to repair place to book appointment, Hello we already have one and the frustrating verbal dance continues. 5 minutes after this call the repair place calls, as whirlpool contacted them as well to book appointment, which we both could agree this is the bizarrest situation since we already have an appointment, from their appointment. We keep saying we feel unsafe, this is a fire hazard. Which they completely ignore. This is unacceptable and extremely poor service.

Update Review on 10/15/2020: New refrigerator 12/31/19. 4/27/20 Fridge terribly noisy, called Whirlpool directed to local provider. 5/5/20 Fan replaced, drawer clip broken. 5/11/20 Drawer repaired. 5/21/20 Fridge not keeping up, repair company said new compressor needed. 7/6/20 After numerous calls and literally hours on hold with Whirlpool compressor install but still seemed noisy. 9/30/20 Fridge partially cooling, no ice and water dispenser not working. Repair company ordered new evaporator cover and UI panel.10/15/20 Neither the repair company or Whirlpool know when the parts will be delivered. Whirlpool has no record of their being a service call or parts ordered. I talked to one rude, unhelpful and uninformed service rep. After following their instructions and using their recommended warranty provider, they claim not to have the issues in their system and cant be used to determine the repair/replacement of their unit. He indicated, You need 3 major repairs in 30 days to get a replacement fridge. It took them 6 1/2 weeks to repair the compressor. How can it break that many times in 30 days with that bad of service. Nothing is repaired in 30 days. The current rep seems to care and have a working knowledge. She is sending a request to determine when a part might be delivered. She couldnt give any indication of when the part might be delivered to complete the repair. Days? Weeks? Or again Months? An hour and a half on the phone with very little progress. New refrigerator with 3 major repairs and one small one in 9 months. Terrible refrigerator and extremely poor service! Go with another brand.Original Review: Refrigerator new in January 2020. The first issue was an extremely loud fan.It was replaced. While being repaired, service tech broke a tab on the door. (It happens) Another call to replace the tab. During May I notice its not making ice and freezer isnt keeping up. Lose all items in freezer. Now the 4th call on new refrigerator, tech says needs a compressor and orders while at my house. Soon the refrigerator isnt keeping cool. Now 34 days later, still not fixed. Whirlpool service provider blames Whirlpool. Whirlpool says they are shipping compressors but cant exactly say mine is delivered. Apparently, 4 service calls in 5 months and over a month with a totally broken refrigerator is their bar for a good product and service. Neither their approved service provider or Whirlpool care in the least. Awful service. Try another brand!

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator (model GX5SHDXV01) about 5 years ago. This company used to have a great reputation, but times have changed. At 2 years, the defroster went out and needed to be replaced. I thought at the time it was just one of those flukes, since Whirlpool makes such good products. But, here I am again with the defroster out at just over 5 years old. I contacted customer support and was told that they would not stand behind their product. Twice in 5 years is ridiculous! Poor marks for reliability.

Purchased this dishwasher in January 2012, and it stopped working in May 2015. We replaced thermal fuse a year ago and just had to replace the control panel. It worked for 1 day and through 2 wash cycles, but during the 3rd wash cycle, it failed to drain and no power again, which is the same problem we had before. We opted to also replace the control board, just to be safe. Lol. What a piece of junk! Whirlpool is a pathetic excuse for a company, and, judging from others experiences with the customer service department, we will not bother contacting these ** since they clearly have no interest in providing any service at all to their customers. I have had many other lower end dishwasher models, and all of them worked well past the 5 - 10 year mark and never stopped working or required any service. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER APPLIANCE FROM WHIRLPOOL AND HAVE SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE I KNOW. Good luck, Whirlpool. I do not expect they will be around in 10 years. Lol. Do not give your hard earned money to these idiots for the junk that they peddle, and please let your local appliance dealer know why you wish to purchase any other brand BUT Whirlpool. Consumers are not stupid, Whirlpool! You are ignorant for banking on that and should be shut down for your unfair business practices, not to mention misrepresentation of your despicable products.

I feel Whirlpool has a terrific portable dishwasher. I really like the way it is set up and it is a very nice looking unit. They could improve on their customer service towards their customers. My dishwasher got a crack in it at the top of the door where you open it and they would not send anyone out to fix it for me. I paid a pretty penny for this dishwasher and felt they should have fixed it for me. This happened in the 1 year warranty period. Otherwise I am very happy with it. I had previously had another one that lasted me 14 years.

I paid ~$1200 for a new Whirlpool (French door top fridge and pull out freezer bottom) 7 years ago when I bought my house. I was so excited - and the appliance has been a problem from the beginning. It has always made a very loud knocking noise - even when it was new. I was told by the technician there was nothing he could do and Home Depot wouldnt help me with it either. My freezer has gone out three times - the last time was the day before Christmas Eve 2016 (a few days ago). I lost everything for my Christmas dinner that was in my fridge because that went first. Then when the service man came today, I was told it was the freezer that is causing the problem and everything had to be defrosted - plus they had to order a part that would take 3 to 5 days - so Im now going to lose everything in my freezer as well. All in all with the three service calls and the food I have lost probably amounts to around $800 - $900. I am so upset and cannot get any help from anyone. So, Im just warning you - NEVER buy a Whirlpool!

I purchased both the Cabrio washer and dryer because my dryer stopped working, it was old, and I knew that soon the washer would too, and wanted to modernize my set -- it was my moms old set. I was thrilled to get it delivered and should have had the delivery man from Lowes take it right back, when he told me they had just come from picking up one from another lady who was thoroughly dissatisfied with hers.Well, it didnt take too many washings for me to understand why that lady was upset! I really wish I had done the same thing! EVERY load of dark clothes have to be wiped off to get off the disgusting wet lint thats all over the clothes! Thats been going on since DAY 1! In every load, the clothes do not get completely wet and I thought I had combated that issue by having a pitcher of water always available to pour onto the load, so the sensor will add more water... That doesnt work, I now see!!! I just noticed last night lots of wet lint was on my fabric shower curtain liner, and I was thoroughly upset! I just never feel as though anything I wash gets clean. I truly wish I had come across this site BEFORE I purchased my set, and I would never have done so. Is there ANYTHING that can be done for people who have purchased these horrible appliances?

I purchased a GW399LXUS Whirlpool Gas Range. This is the slide in kind. I paid 1658.00 dollars for this stove, because it was a gas convection oven. We purchased it on 7/21/09. Just yesterday, the keypad numbers stopped working. I cannot even set a temperature for the oven. So now, I can only use the burners. I called Whirlpool today. They told me that my stove does not have any recalls so there is nothing they can do about it. I spoke with Jessica in Michigan. I told her how dissatisfied I was that the stove is only 2 years old and the most important part (the buttons) stopped working and they only cover this for one year. She told me that I have to remember that man made things are made to stop working at some time. I told her they should work for longer than 2 years. I remember way back when my parents bought a stove or fridge and they lasted for 15 to 20 years before breaking or stopping to work.I am a long time Whirlpool customer and always had good luck with their products. But I really feel that they should fix this problem. I could understand if the stove was 8 or 10 years old and something broke after using it, but not after 2 years. I will definitely tell everyone I know to not buy Whirlpool or Maytag since they are one in the same. I probably will not buy Whirlpool again and will have to buy something from Japan since it will last longer. So much for buying American made junk!

Horrendous product! Purchased December 3, 2014 – had service technician from Whirlpool check the unit for excessive noise 3 months later. Technician said it’s the way it is designed – ice maker in door, air has to be forced up from freezer so it makes a lot of noise! Now, 15 months later, the refrigerator has totally quit. We are waiting for technician from Whirlpool. Obviously, no extended warranty so Whirlpool said they would extend the warranty and cover this visit for $357! How nice of them since they are sure the parts will exceed that amount!!! What a piece of trash – guess the refrigerator is only meant to work about a year! NO MORE WHIRLPOOL! I am thinking about standing outside of Home Depot to warn any customers who are looking for a refrigerator not to buy Whirlpool!Updated 3/23/2016 - To add to our previous review, the service company, AIG finally after 3 days has approved the parts required to fix our with less refrigerator (15 months old.) I purchased this set in November 2013, it is now October 2014. I made the same mistake as many others have made (according to the reviews that I have read on this site). Because I have owned Whirlpool brand appliances before - including washers/dryers - I assumed this new HE machine set would be every bit as good + quality. Unfortunately, I did not do my homework!Everyone is right - this Cabrio HE washer/dryer combo is nothing more than expensive JUNK!. My complaints are all the same as everyone elses: the clothes do not get clean, soap residue remains on clothes, the clothes even have parts of the articles come out of the wash cycle dry not even having had the water touch the articles in areas! The dryer has been repaired once already for a dryer sensor problem & overheating, now both the washer & dryer are making some ridiculous hum-drum noises! Even with the extended warranty that I purchased, I can see the loop holes built into it; theyve got me over a barrel with the nonsense mumble-jumble tactics of having to qualify for adequate service repairs for replacement of parts (3x on each machine) they cant find, before even attempting to negotiate a buyout that will never happen. Never again, Whirlpool anything!!!

We bought this product and had only had it for a couple of weeks when I spilled soup on the open microwave door. My mistake, but I would think that might happen to other people once in a while. The soup leaked around the window gasket of the microwave and streaked the interior of the door. It also ran down into the door of the oven and streaked the interior of that door. No way to clean this up that I know of without taking the door apart. I think these gaskets should not allow liquid they leak into the inside of these doors. Whirlpool says its my problem. They call it a use and care issue. I think its a design issue.

The stove is only 5 years old. The oven would not ignite. The gas was getting through, but theres no flame. Sears repaired it and put a complete flame and ignitor piece at a cost for a part of $132.00. I feel the stove is too new to have to replace anything. I am retired, so I do not use the oven often. I have only cleaned the oven one time in five years. It is very clean. I picked this stove out and paid $900.00, because I liked the style and everything about it. I feel you should look into this, and I should not have to pay for repairs in such a short time of ownership. The repair person said this stove already had an upgrade in it. Please respond. This thing absolutely is total junk. It doesnt clean at all. I have to wash my sons sweaty uniform 3 times because the first two wash didnt clean it. A tub and washboard cleans better than this unit. A 600+ washer should clean the basic stuff. I remove clothes after it was finished and some of the clothes have dry spots where the water couldnt make it to. What kind of washer leaves clothes dry?I wish I came across this site when I was at the store. I did a search and the manufacture website and retail gave it positive reviews. I pretty sure the Whirlpool is paying people to write positive reviews. Technicians have come and gone telling me that there isnt anything wrong with it. That their diagnostic isnt detecting anything. Well when I call them again I will have the tech wait while I wash my sons sweaty uniform and then they can smell it after it goes through the wash. Im going call out a service tech until it works as advertise or they replace it. If I have to call them out once a week. That is what I will do.

My wife and I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing the Whirlpool Gold
My wife and I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing the Whirlpool Gold Series, model #WRF989SDAM00 refrigerator two years ago...yes TWO YEARS AGO! We have experienced numerous issues with the appliance but our latest (no cold air in both the fridge and freezer) prompted a call to a service center. The serviceman that showed up knew immediately what the issue was, our compressor and evaporator had malfunctioned and according to him, We have seen the same problem in a number of these models and that Whirlpool has since redesigned the casing to prevent this issue in new models. What about those of us who purchased the previous model?! Now shame on us I guess for not purchasing the extended warranty...I suppose I just took it for granted that in todays competitive manufacturing world Whirlpool would be committed to building a quality product! Because of this I was offered two options from Whirlpool. #1 - pay for the parts yourself...over $800 or #2 - purchase their 1 year warranty program @ $350/year, this warranty will cover all parts and labor for an entire year. Based on my experiences though, I will need to purchase a 1 year warranty @ $350/year for the life of this lemon, potentially costing me $5500 over a 10 year period. I ultimately took option 3...tossed the piece of junk and bought a new fridge from their competition. Dont be fooled by the attractive design and appearance, the Whirlpool Gold Series refrigerator is a money pit waiting to happen!

I purchased this Whirlpool Aqualift oven at now bankrupt HH Gregg so my recourse is limited. I loved the look of the slide in range and the salesman raved about the quality of this appliance. First the ceramic top is a nightmare to keep clean, not mentioned at purchase. The Aqualift feature is totally useless. I use my oven on a very limited basis. Putting water in the bottom of oven does absolutely nothing to clean oven and even less on sides and oven door. I spent a substantial amount of money on this so called self clean oven and I am so disappointed in results. The electric range was purchased June 2011. In June 2012, I purchased the extended warranty from Whirlpool (or their agent). The range is located in a summer cottage, so it has minimal use. I cleaned the self-clean oven last week after carefully reading the manual. Manual did not state to remove the chrome drip pans on the top, just “remove oven racks and storage drawer contents”. The oven cleaning caused the right rear burner pan to turn bronze/black. I called Whirlpool. I was referred to Warranty folks who told me they will not cover it because it is cosmetic and referred me back to Whirlpool (as it was WP instructions that were incorrect!) Purchased a Whirlpool double oven (WGE745COFH) in September 2018. It is now May 2019. After 5 service technicians verified the erratic temperature fluctuations in the ovens, Whirlpool insists that a +25 degree to -25 degree fluctuation in a heating cycle is normal. The motherboard was changed 3 times, and the sensors were changed 3 times, including hard-wiring the last set of sensors. I called Whirlpool and customer service says that is normal. Ever tried baking at a 350 degree setting that fluctuates from 375 degrees down to 312 degrees while trying to maintain a 350 degree setting? I understand there has to be some fluctuation, but either it took a lot of extra time or burned my food consistently. Ridiculous. So, with the help of wonderful people at Lowes (where I purchased the double oven) Whirlpool is refunding my money and Lowes has taken back the slide-in double oven. In my quest to replace it, multiple appliance sellers have told me that all the new ovens having motherboards and sensors have big fluctuations in the oven heating cycles. I find that unacceptable. My husband and other family members have worked daily in an industry where temperatures were critical. They used ovens that could maintain temperature within 5 degrees of set temperature with analog controls. The home consumers are being ripped off with cheap, sub-standard parts making throw away appliances and getting away with it. What do I buy? Havent figured that out yet, but have purchased a countertop toaster oven that bakes beautifully.

We recently bought a home and our dishwasher came with the home. When we called the Customer Service to get it replaced as it comes with a 20 year warranty on the plastic body, they said they would replace the part, but I would have to pay $81 for the first 15 min & $19 every additional 15 min. for labor, which means I would end up paying at least close to $400 or more, depending on how long the technician takes to replace the fiber body. I purchase a suite of Whirlpool Kitchen Appliances April 2017. My range is the slide in model. The knobs are on the front of the stove top. My stove looks very used after 10 months. I followed the instructions on what to clean it with and how to clean so I know its not me. The paint chipping is crazy! How as consumers do we deal with this? This Range was a cost over $2000! and they give me touch-up paint!I purchased Whirlpool because I researched prior to purchasing my appliances. I bought a Maytag front load washer on October 24, 2010. I have not been able to use it because it came damaged by the manufacturers. I contacted them by phone several times and it took them three months to send someone (A and E sears repair). Two months passed and I did not get the parts necessary or a replacement washer. I kept calling and finally they sent someone again in May 2011. They said they where going to order the parts because the new company was not going to replace the machine, even though it was already damaged. They said I would get the parts between three-five business days. I only got one part. A and E sent a repair guy again on the 22nd of June. This one said they needed the entire machine in parts and that he would order the parts. I called A and E one week later and they said they were waiting for the on manufacturer to send the parts (Whirlpool). The 26th and the 27th of July, I got the parts. On the 22nd of July, another repairman came and said we needed more parts. Today, August 16, 2011, I called Whirlpool and A and E and now they said the parts wont be here till after October 26, which by then I would have to pay for the parts and labor if I wanted it fixed because by then the one-year warranty would have expired. We installed this furnace along with a matching 4ton a/c unit over four years ago. It was installed with a 3 zone computer controlled damper system to separately condition the three floors of our home. This furnace was ideal because it has a dual stage combustion chamber depending on how much demand there is. So besides being 95% efficient, the furnace can run at 70% or 100% heating capacity which saves on utility bills when the whole house doesn't need heat at the same time. It also had a variable speed blower which made start ups and shut downs almost unnoticeable. The blower actually ramps up to speed discreetly and adjusts itself according to the amount of back-pressure it senses. This allows it to respond to varying conditions as each of the 3 thermostats are calling for heating or cooling at different times. And yes here in St. Louis we have had days that require heat on the first floor and a/c on the third floor at the same time. The controller cycles between the two every 15 mintutes. All of these features make it ideal for our 2200sq ft three story brick home(four including the basement where it is installed). This furnace and control system along with new ductwork and dampers were able to replace the two old furnaces and a/c units originally in the home. We haven't had a single problem with it in over four years and would recommend Whirlpool Gold products to anyone I know. If I ever had to do this again in another house I would do exactly the same thing with exactly the same products.

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from Conns Appliances on 2/2/12. It worked fine until about 2 months ago. Then it started freezing food in the refrigerator. We called Conns, and they sent a technician to replace the thermostat. A couple of days later, it was still freezing food. So we called Conns again. They sent a second technician. He called Whirlpool tech support, and they told him to adjust the position of the thermostat sensor. A couple of more days went by, and food was still freezing. The problem had gotten even worse.I called the manager at Conns and suggested that we should consider replacement since the previous 2 technicians were unable to solve the problem. He sent a third technician. Tech #3 called Whirlpool tech support and re-adjusted the sensor. He said there wasnt a lot they could do and that if I wanted to get it replaced, I would need to call Whirlpool.I called Whirlpool Customer Service and explained everything that had happened. They told me they would need to send another technician. I asked why, since 3 technicians had already looked at it. She said there were different levels of service and they would have to send someone from their authorized service company, as if Conns is not authorized. I asked if this problem was common in this model of refrigerator. She said she could research that if I could hold, so I said ok. After being on hold for several minutes, she came back and said she couldnt find any record of this being a repetitive problem.I didnt have a thermometer, and I thought if I had more concrete evidence of the problem, then maybe they would replace the refrigerator. So I put a glass of water in the middle of the top shelf. Within 24 hours, it was frozen solid as an ice cube!Technician #4 came and called Whirlpool tech support. This time, they told him that this had been a problem ever since this model came out and they had a fix that had been on the books since day 1. So the customer service lady obviously lied to me. Technician #4 stuffed a piece of Styrofoam in the hole where the air comes from the freezer into the refrigerator and he re-adjusted the thermostat sensor. I asked if we could just replace the unit and be done with it, but he said we had to wait and see if his fix worked.I went to Ace Hardware and bought a refrigerator thermometer. Two days later, we had frozen strawberries, frozen lettuce, frozen milk, and even the meat and cheese were freezing. My thermometer said temperature was 32 degrees. I called Whirlpool back and insisted that they replace the refrigerator. They told me The unit was not authorized for replacement and they needed a 2nd opinion. I was very angry. I told them there had already been 4 opinions and a 5th wasnt necessary. I wasnt getting anywhere, so I asked for a supervisor. They transferred me to someone named Sue. Sue told me the same thing - not authorized, need a 2nd opinion. I told her that I work at The Mens Wearhouse and that if a customer spent that much money on a suit and had trouble with it, they certainly would not have to bring it back 5 times to have it re-tailored. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She said, Sir, my supervisor doesnt speak to consumers. I could not believe my ears. Where would they be without consumers? I was so mad I hung up on her.Later, I realized I had no options and called to request the 2nd opinion. I was told that the technician could authorize the unit for replacement. They also told me I couldnt get a technician for a week because their technicians were all booked up repairing their faulty products. I had no choice but to wait. I moved my thermometer to the bottom of the refrigerator to see if the temperature was the same there as on the top. The temperature there fluctuated between 28 and 34 degrees. I called Conns to tell them the story, thinking maybe they would go to bat for one of their customers. They told me this should never have happened and that the matter should be escalated to their home office and that a manager would contact me within 30 minutes. He never called. Two days after that phone call, I went to Conns to speak to the manager. I told him the whole story and told him that if Whirlpool would not replace the refrigerator, then I would have no choice but to contact Discover (my payment method for the original purchase) and dispute the charges. I pointed out that even though it should be Whirlpool paying for it, his store would take the hit if Discover reversed the charges. He called someone and told me a Conns service manager would contact me within 48 hours.More waiting. Technician #5 came. I told him he was to authorize the unit for replacement. He said he couldnt do that and that Whirlpool tells all their customers that just to get them off the phone. He re-adjusted the temperature sensor and left. I was livid. Now the problem went the other way. The temperature wouldnt go below 50 degrees. We filled an ice chest with food and ice and began living out of it. The Conns service manager called and said he would have to send a technician. This would be #6. I was very angry with the service manager and called Discover to dispute the charges. Discover opened an investigation, sent a letter to Conns (and maybe Whirlpool, Im not sure) and issued a credit to my credit card account.#6 came and re-adjusted the thermostat sensor. The next morning, he called to see how it was doing. The temperature was still around 50 degrees. He wanted to come and adjust it again. I told him to get the unit replaced! So he submitted paperwork to request a replacement. He called back and said that he felt sorry for us because he knew we had a 3-month-old baby in the house. Since the replacement had been requested, Conns wouldnt pay him to come again; but he said he would come on his own time, on his lunch break, and readjust the sensor in hopes that it would get us by while we waited for a replacement. He said it might take 3-4 days to get the replacement. I told him he could come, so this was technical visit #7. He adjusted the sensor. The next day, the temperature was still 50 degrees.I called the service manager at Conns to confirm that they had requested the replacement. He said the paperwork was submitted, that the home office would review it, make a decision, and that we should know something in a couple of days. That was on Wednesday. On Monday afternoon, I called him again. He said the paperwork wasnt submitted to home office until Saturday and that he was expecting to hear from them by end of day Tuesday. In the meantime, we were still living out of an ice chest.I had already determined that Whirlpool wasnt going to help me, and now, Conns was giving me the runaround. That afternoon, I was working on a project at work with a lady who was fairly new in our company. Turns out she used to work at the Conns home office and she knew people in high places there. She called a VP on my behalf. The next morning, I got a call from the VP telling me that I could get a replacement. I dont think I would have gotten my replacement if I hadnt bumped into the lady who used to work at Conns.I called Conns store, and they said a credit had been issued and I could come to the store and pick out whatever I wanted up to the amount of the credit. I knew I didnt want another Whirlpool. The selection was very limited, but I found a Frigidaire that I thought might work. Then they told me I would have to pay extra for an ice maker, even though I had bought the ice maker for the Whirlpool that was being replaced. I argued with the manager until finally he agreed to give me the ice maker, delivery, and installation.Yesterday, Conns called to tell me they were coming in the afternoon to install the refrigerator. They had the audacity to ask me what was the matter with the unit they were replacing! They did come and replace the unit. But wait...Thats not all! This morning, the ice maker had not made any ice, even after running all night long. Conns sent a technician today, and he said all of the parts were not installed and it was preventing proper water flow. He is coming back on Tuesday to install the missing parts. So we still arent done. I dont know if Im more angry with Whirlpool or with Conns. Whirlpool did not honor their warranty and Conns got stuck with it. But then Conns provided poor service too. I got stuck in the middle, and it still isnt fully resolved.

My $1800 French door refrigerator is only 20 months old and the ice maker has quit working. They sent out a repair person 5 times and replaced parts three of those times. Now they are saying it is unrepairable and are refunding my contract fee of $345 and leaving me with a broken ice maker. When the problem started it was making ice just not dumping it. Now it doesnt even get water. Throughout this all, two months, I have had to constantly call them to find out our next move. They say someone will call me in 2-3 days but they never do. One of The last people I talked to said, Well you can still keep food in it. I dont feel that is reasonable considering I bought a refrigerator with the ice maker in it. I finally called Whirlpool corporate instead of the service contract people to see if anything could be done and was told someone would call me back in 2-3 business days. Well its been a week and big surprise - have not heard from anyone. It is looking like we will have to purchase yet another refrigerator in less than two years. The service people I talked to were rude and really didnt seem to want to help at all. I believed when I purchased this Whirlpool product that they were a reputable company. Sorry to say that is not the case at all. I dont know if the refrigerator is really unrepairable or if they just gave up trying to find the issue. Seems hard to believe a basically new appliance cant be repaired.

This $1,000+ Whirlpool Cabrio washer high-efficiency machine should have lasted between 10-15 years, not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5! To expect less is to fall for the consumer cave in - where you just give up, give in and buy another. The Whirlpool tech just told the appliance repair guy that was here that the repair would involve a recirculating water pump and a bearing, and would cost $481 to repair. The appliance repairman said he is not in business to condemn appliances, but said he has a Kenmore top loader at his house. Simple, no electronics and less things to go wrong. Well after researching brands and reading reports, I thought I was buying a machine that would last at least as long as my second hand Maytag. Whirlpool has not heard the end of me. I have heard several other people say the same thing. Repair bills are huge and machines do not hold up. So much for buying quality. Now Im going to contact the MA attorney general for the states implied warranty, which means if you spend your money on any appliance, that appliance has an expected lifetime of service. A $1,000+ machine is not expected to fall apart after a few years.

Its not even a year since I have had this washer / dryer--and I already made two service calls regarding the dryer. The washer does not get the clothes clean. When washing even one blanket, it bumps, grinds and does not wash well. I have had to do two loads compared to one in my Amana set. It is terrible. You have to stay with it while washing or always load. It gets uneven with any small load. Everyone I know hates this washer.

I bought a matched set of Whirlpool washer and dryer. Within about 3 months the dryer quit running on any of its cycles except heavy duty. About a month after that the washer started messing up. First it quit putting in the bleach. Next it quit adding water except under the heavy duty cycle. Then after about another week or so it quit putting in fabric softener. After a couple of more months it only uses hot water. Now not quite a year after I purchased it the washer now only adds water in the wash mode and not the rinse cycle. Now all this would not be a problem except I had lost the warranty cards and in their website would not let me register it online.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine on 3-18-16. In February of 2017 the washer died. I was bleaching my whites at the time so most of the clothes, whites fell apart because they sat in bleach and water for 2 days. I had to figure out how to get them out without getting bleach and water all over my clothes. I called whirlpool and they got someone to come fix it. The tech came and said we needed a new control panel. We waited 3 weeks for the panel. He came on 3-24-17. He put the part in. Took less than 10 min and said, All set. I went downstairs and put a few things in. I was a bit leery and the machine started. I went back upstairs and I hear beeping. I go back down and the machine is flashing again. I called the repair people they said, Unplug it for 10 min. It may reset itself. If it doesnt, call back. It didnt. I called back and wanted me to wait till the following week. I told her I had clothes in there.Someone came the next morning and said it needed a harness and they would order it. Well its the 28th and I havent heard anything. I have called whirlpool several times with no satisfaction. We had the machine less than a year and its been dead for 2 months. I am disabled. I have multiple sclerosis so every day is a new issue. I hate to put that in here but I want you to know what Im dealing with along with a dead washer. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

We purchased 2 Whirlpool Cabrio washing machines in 2011. Both required service calls in June 2015. After 3.5 years, the repair company diagnosed that the Whirlpool Cabrio model number WTW7800XW2 bearing needed to be replaced for an estimated $650.00 and recommended that we purchase a new machine. The other machine was spewing water out of the side of the machine. The repair person took the machine apart and could not duplicate the problem.

I know that appliances are made to be disposable, but throwing away a $40 toaster after 18 months is easier to live with than throwing away a $350-$400 dishwasher. We bought a new dishwasher at Lowes on October 15, 2015. It is now May 11, 2016. The manufacturers warranty was for a year. It has been about a year and half since it was installed. Not very long for an appliance that one would assume would last at least 5-10 years. When we called Whirlpool to see about a repair visit, we were told that the trip to the house would cost $105, and the parts could go as high as $250-$300. So if you weigh the original price to the repair price, having it repaired is not rational, but neither is throwing away a dishwasher thats almost new. Its still clean inside. No soap residue or anything in the tub. In the past, by the time we were in the market for a new dishwasher, our old dishwasher looked like it had been through the war. It just breaks my heart to know that a company is so slipshod at making appliances that they wear out in less than two years. There doesnt seem to be any recourse but to dump a perfectly good, relatively new dishwasher in the landfill. We are leaving a very big footprint by doing this.

Whirlpool WRT351SFYW 21.1 Cu. Ft. White Top Freezer Refrigerator - Energy..
Whirlpool WRT351SFYW 21.1 Cu. Ft. White Top Freezer Refrigerator - Energy... puts out a very irritating high pitch noise, unlike my previous Whirlpool fridge. The old one was perfectly quiet. I believe Whirlpool is going downhill in every way. WP is buying refrigerators from 3rd world countries and slapping the name on them. The delivery people were very rude with me when I was unable to give them a tip, even though I had to supply my truck to shuttle the fridge up to my house and help them unload it. I also had to go and find them when they would not follow my directions to my house. So, they kept the wrench I loaned them; they did not have their own tools for the installation. And they refused to return it when I asked them to do so. Denvers Customer Service refused to respond in any way to my requests for information or complaints about the noise and delivery. Finally, their head office contacted me a month or two later, and the customer service person had initiated the discussion in argumentative attitude despite my saying I did not care anymore, I gave up on them and dont expect anything from Whirlpool anymore. While she told me that there are standard levels of acceptable noise that come from their refrigerator, while, she refused to acknowledge that they are not my standards, and I am the customer, besides, I had an older Whirlpool fridge that did not make any noise. I am sorry trusted WP, when I tried to upgrade the old fridge - it was an expensive downgrade! Buy LG or Amana - wished I did!

Purchased a larger hot water heater after reviewing the offerings from the big box stores. Obtained a 40 gallon Lo-Nox type. No problem. Found that I did not have time to install and 3 months later had a company install for almost $300. Within the first month the pilot went out at least 5 times. Had the install company come out and take care of the problem. Worked OK for 2 months and now the pilot light goes out again. Watched the flames myself and find them to be yellow. OK, so try to see what the situation is, call the installer, then call technical support. I am in a basement, on a cell phone and the representative basically has zero patience, zero tolerance for questions, treats me like an idiot and probably has never looked at any of the guides but keeps harping on me.I asked 5 times for patience and guidance not to be treated like an idiot. As time went on it was clear that the representative has zero experience in front of the product or the information in the install guides. She kept calling it a manual and I tried at least 3 times to ensure that her manual is the install guide. She never did affirm. I stated I wanted my money back and she stated no. Whirlpool has a very skillful representative to keep consumers away. However this consumer is a small apt owner that purchases appliances, as well as hot water tanks microwaves etc. No longer will I purchase anything Whirlpool. Oh I will send a complaint about this rep, and she said thats fine send it to the PO box Total lack of product knowledge and not even skillful in a conversation asking for assistance. The installer also stated that this product has horrible reviews. I wish I had seen them before all of this. Total frustration and something unwarranted. I am out $900 and am replacing the tank with a Bradford white from the plumber. Lesson learned. Good bye Whirlpool, hope others stay away from Whirlpool everything. Choosing another brand is the only thing that makes businesses wake up and smell the money.

My water heater burner went out after just over 3 years caused the pilot to go out. I was worried that although all parts were covered for 12 years and labor for only 3 and the labor would be very expensive. When I called and told them about the problem they said the part was covered and would ship it next day air but 10 minutes later another rep called and said they would cover the labor as well and to check a nearby service company as they might have the part in stock. Long story short without having to scream and yell my problem was corrected within 8 hours and all I have to do is drop off the new burner at the service company when it arrives. I have been lucky and haven't had many warranty problems in my life but none that I have had have been resolved so painlessly. I will never buy anything but Whirlpool from this day forward. When my dryer died my wife and I decided to get both a new washer & dryer. I kick myself for two reasons. My 15-year-old washer which worked fine I replaced, and I didnt check reviews before buying. What a mistake. The eco-friendly Whirlpool washer designed to save energy doesnt clean close, my towels are the worse. Coming out of a shower and using a freshly washed towel to dry off and it smelling like it had never been washed tears it for me. Im hoping like many others they will rebate or even better recall and pay back the money I spent on a worthless washing machine! So, if Whirlpool wont do the right thing, I will do my best to warn others to not buy this top loading piece of **.

Purchased Whirlpool Microwave 1.6. The design has 5 BIG flaws. 1. Too large in depth, cabinets on each side cant open. 2. The one light under unit is so far to the back wall, you need a flashlight to cook spaghetti or use stove. 3. Too large in height, cant get a big pan on your stove. 4. Top of unit is open so much, if you spilled something from the cabinet above it would go right inside the works. 5. Instructions are hard to read & figure out, the wall hanging support is just one piece and if you dont have 2 main beams youre out of luck. GO buy a GE, put it up in 1/2 time & good & secure and works great. Has 2 lights on each side under unit. Fingers over the holes at the top. 1 inch shorter, 1 inch thinner. To my surprise the turntable is even larger, go figure.

Purchased washer and dryer combo on 07-08-2013. I have a family of just 2 now. Under normal conditions I thought the machine should last 12 to 15 years. After 2 years of service the bearing and seal on the tub failed, I had to order parts and rent a tool to install. Then after 3 years had to replace suspension kit for the tub. Now after 3 1/2 years the water drain pump has failed and the sensor on the motor is acting up. This machine listed for $800. I did not purchase extended warranty but I have repaired myself. If I had not repaired myself the cost would have exceeded the cost of new. I have now purchased another makers model machine. I think Whirlpool should buy this machine back.

I have a top-freezer model WRT5715MYW. This week will mark the 3rd time Ive had a service call to complain about food freezing in the refrigerator compartment. The last time the repairman told me I couldnt place food in the center of the refrigerator since that is where the cold air from the freezer compartment comes down into the refrigerator compartment. This time when I called to schedule the repair call, the woman at the appliance store where I purchased this told me she also has a Whirpool refrigerator and she cant place any food on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator due to freezing. So this 21 cu ft refrigerator has a lot less usable space than I was led to believe when I purchased it. I would not recommend this product due to this reason. Beware of that channel that comes down the center of the back of the refrigerator. It seems like a design flaw to me.

He told me they took the front loader design and just stood it up with no protection from garments and coins getting under the tub, through the under tub filter often and into the drain pump. You are kidding me? Almost $1000 for this washer and its so ill designed. I have read forums that this has been an ongoing issue for several years yet Whirlpool continues to build these. I dont vent to forums often but just now I finished removing the tub to remove 2 socks and 7 cents. Also, I had to remove the drain pump and found another 16 cents inside it. So far the pump has not been ruined but this time water is coming out from the machine so will probably be ordering another pump for it as well. The wife wants it out of the house tomorrow and not another cent spent on it. But it is only two years old. What do you do? If you are reading this because you are searching for a new washer do not purchase a Whirlpool! I have gotten nothing but grief and was put off by their customer service dept as well. I guess after fielding so many calls about the same thing they have been told to just put all the calls off as no big deal. I am sure Whirlpool is making a killing off the sales on this unit. The claims made during the sale convinced me. What a joke. Look around the internet and you will find hundreds if not thousands of the same issues.

After only 6 months of use, the cooktop light bulb burned out. When I tried to replace it, the glass part of the bulb separated from the base. The bulb is screwed in so that the base faces away from the front of the microwave. With the small cavity and the backward installation, it will be impossible to remove. Now I have no light and dread how much a service call will be. The unit was installed by a contractor prior to our purchase of the house and it is now out of warranty.

Updated on 04/15/2019: Called customer care about my ice maker which have went out for the second time less than two years and the 1st replacement have only been 9 months from today. Unfortunately they tell me it’s out of the one year warranty process and they can’t help me. Well look like the 2nd replacement should have been under warranty still. Their products are a piece of crap and they know it and don’t care because theyre making money off of the consumers. Be aware and advise you to stay away from Whirlpool appliances. They don’t stand behind their brand. There’s no way anyone should have to be making repairs on a new 2000 and sum refrigerator. My old one is 18 yrs old and still working fine no problems, better than this piece of crap. Warning to consumers. Don’t waste your time and especially your money. Didn’t want to give no stars but you have to give at least 1.Original Review: Purchased refrigerator In July of 2017 and had to have ice maker replaced less than a year of having it. Now again ice maker not working again and only been about 9 months from the last replacement. I think there should be a Lemon law on these products. These refrigerator are not cheap and if I buy something new and spend a good amount of money for, I don’t want any headache and worries. That’s the reason for getting a new one.

I purchased Whirlpool electric hot water tank in May 2011 (model no. EEZ80HD055V). The water tank was working fine for four months. It does not work anymore. I tried to get a hold of Whirlpool customer service. But I couldn’t get a hold of customer service at 877-817-6750. It is motel business without hot water. We could not open the business. We tried the best we could, but there is no contact or support from Lowes or Whirlpool. We have no other choice other than replace the hot water tank. We tried to find the right phone number to explain the situation to Whirlpool customer service rep.
