Brand new Whirlpool dishwasher letting steam out ruining cabinets. Whirlpool admitted this has happened before. ** sent 3 different service repair companies to my house and all 3 told me the parts they recommended from Whirlpool was not going to fix problem. They finally after 3 different repairmen agreed to refund dishwasher. I requested they hire someone to give estimate on my kitchen cabinets. It was their product that done damage and I live in rural area and no one wants the job of restaining. If the cabinet is replaced it is expensive. Granite counters have to be removed and placed back, sink etc. I requested 3000.00 or Whirlpool send someone to give estimate. This has been dragging on for 2 months and still cant use dishwasher. Is that too much to ask for? This has been a nightmare and Whirlpool should be embarrassed. So many emails and messages and most of the time they are unreturned

Absolute junk. Bought an entire matching set 2 years ago. Fridge, microwave, dishwasher and oven. Oven is the most user unfriendly thing I have ever bought. That’s my fault. Microwave failed. 300 to replace. Ice maker in side by side fridge failed, another 300 dollar fix. I used to have a field mouse or two get into the house every year. Don’t have that problem anymore because the fridge is so loud it scares them off. Talking to Customer service was the most frustrating thing of all. They think if they say your name in a nice soft tone long enough it will make everything ok. Mother and father raved about Whirlpool products. How times have changed. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these products. Also, look up the other brand names made in the same factory and steer clear of those as well. I used to think appliances were all the same. How wrong I was. Do your research. It will save you a bundle in the long run.

I am making my last payment on this junk ** washer and I cant wait to leave this one at the curb! Like the other reviewers...this machine leaves white deodorant on dark shirts, sheet sets either constantly off balance or parts of them still dry after wash cycle is finished! I changed detergents several times thinking that was the issue...but the bottom line is the sell of having no agitator and water saving features leave you with dirty clothes and off balance crazy shaking nonsense! DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!

My recommendation right now for all those individuals trying to purchase a microwave, dont even look at Whirlpool brand, they just ***.

The clock-timer went out. Appliance is only 1yr. 6mo. old. I CONSIDER THIS STILL A NEW APPLIANCE. This is the 2nd Whirlpool appliance, I bought a Whirlpool washer & dryer. The washer went after 2yrs. use. I bought a Kenmore used washer and it still works. I paid cash for the stove. It was bought at a Sears outlet in Cudahy, WI for $398.58 total with the one year warranty. I really have not gotten the use of the price. I guarantee you (this company) I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool appliance again. TOO BAD YOU COULD NOT RETURN A PARTIAL OF THIS MONEY TOO ME!!!!! I have a Sears repairman coming today 8-3-13 costing me $75.00 just to walk in the door.

My Cabrio washer is 6 years old & has performed poorly from day 1. It does not clean properly so I have to rewash or wash clothes on a longer cycle (so much for energy efficient), it sounds like a plane taking off and has actually startled visitors, and it mysteriously forms sheets, towels & blankets in the shape of spare tire. This is the worst washer Ive ever bought.

While the washer is great, the reliability of the dryer is lacking. The timer has broken 3 times on ours in 3 years. Each time the cost of the switch is $75.00. Too much plastic on the shaft. If the plastic was removed, and the shaft was metal, it would be a definite improvement.

French Door model WRF989SEAE01 - Fridge runs very loud after 3 weeks. Ice build up inside of fridge - back left. After numerous repairs, dealer replaced unit with new. Three weeks, loud noise again. After 7 months, the ice maker has quit, the freezer is thawing items, the fridge part is not cold enough (all settings have been boosted). Now Im concerned it is going to completely fail or burn our new house down. All new Whirlpool appliances in new home and this thing is proving to be extremely unreliable. Dealer is now out of loop (gave up) and told us to deal directly with Whirlpool. After 2 units and same issues, it has to be a design flaw. Can anyone start to move on a class action lawsuit or do I wait until it blows up or burns down the house? We are of retirement age, no kids, and our appliances have had NO ABUSE. Another acquaintance has same fridge about 2 years old and it has completely quit.

I purchased this washer model WTW4950XW0 new. Within 6 months, it stopped spinning and was repaired under warranty. The spin actuator was defective. Great. A few months later, it stopped spinning, repaired under warranty and the spin actuator was bad. A few months later it stopped spinning, repaired under warranty, and the actuator was bad. Great. Another few months it stopped spinning again. This time, Whirlpool sent someone to repair it, another bad spin actuator. This time we had to pay for the part. So now that we are completely on our own, it stopped spinning yet again. Let me guess. The spin actuator is bad!!! Incredible. What a piece of crap. This washer was never used heavily.

Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Option - Very stylish. Well built - very solid and heavy constructions. Full features from quick wash to sanitary wash, very energy efficient, steam setting on dryer for touch-ups. Quick loads, etc. We were looking for a washer and dryer set that would accommodate large quilts and blankets and still have the flexibility to handle small and delicate loads, and be energy efficient. The Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Option is solidly built and very sturdy. It handles small and large loads and is very energy efficient. Both the washer and dryer handle sheets and pillowcases without a problem. Wed recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER (Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher)!!! We bought a camp with this dishwasher in it brand new. It has been serviced three times in the past year because the dishes (especially utensils) do not dry. The service company first said it was because I needed to use jet dry. What a joke! I told them I was using jet dry so they sent a service man out. He had to read a manual in order to try and figure out what was wrong with it. He then decided the entire motherboard needed replacing and he would order the part. He came back, replaced the part and it still did not fix the problem.I called again to complain so they sent another service man out and he said the drying air vent may not be working. They came back out to replace it weeks later because the part was on back order. Wonder Why??? I still have to dry the utensils every time I run the dishwasher. The interior walls of the dishwasher are wet even after running through the drying cycle. Either this dishwasher is a lemon or Whirlpool is selling a dishwasher that does not dry to the consumers!!! So BEWARE!!!

We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer & dryer. The glass lid design is VERY POORLY constructed and should be replaced by Whirlpool. We paid over $200 the first time the lid broke and was told this is going to be a continuing problem. They were correct! We subsequently replaced the lid 2 additional times only to have the same break on the right hand side causing the lid to pop up. Something must be done and WHIRLPOOL need to care for their machinery. They should replace the lids or provide a major incentive for consumers to replace the washer. PLEASE DO SOMETHING!

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer - This is a horrible washer. I just read the reviews after having struggled with dirty clothes, smelly clothes, sour clothes and yes, our water bill is way higher using this nasty machine. I will never buy a Whirlpool again. Very VERY disappointed and dissatisfied with this machine. I usually always read reviews before buying anything but the sales guy at Garner Appliance said this was an awesome machine. We bought the matching set. And to read each and every consistently bad review with the same issues. They should replace these pieces of junk for us free. The dryer doesnt fall too far behind.

My experience was terrible. We purchased a side by side refrigerator on June 27, 2011 and it stopped working in December, 2011. We reported this onDecember 19, 2011. A repairman was sent out a few days later, who could not solve the problem because a piece had to be ordered. The piece was ordered and the repairman came to install the part on December 28, 2011.The refrigerator is still not working at all. We have been without ice for this period of time, not to mention the inconvenience of non-refrigeration of food. I pleaded for them to pick up the refrigerator and give me even a partial refund. I was told that three repairs had to be done before they would even consider picking up the refrigerator. I am not a person who complains, but this was ridiculous. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

It will constantly go off balance. I usually have to wash the cloths twice before they come clean and I have to unload washer and re-load it to get it to possibly spin without going off balance again. It will twist the quilts and fold them under themselves and tear them from the pressure. I have called after 6 months of owning this product and explained to the Lowe’s employee and they said it cannot be returned unless it was broken mechanically. This is the worst piece of crap I have ever own. The last Whirlpool product lasted 12 to 20 years. I hated this thing after the first few washings. I generally have to stop the washer and let it soak and then turn it back on if I want the damn thing to get the dirt out. I am using the required detergent as well. I will never own another top load machine like this. I am trying to unload it. Now, I have to buy another washer because I might as well take the clothes out and beat them on a rock at a creek with this thing.

I purchased a Cabrio top-loading high efficiency low water washer thinking I was doing something for the environment by saving on water and electricity. After about a month, I noticed that my clothes especially those with stretchable fabric were getting larger. My husband kept telling me I was imagining it. Then the clothes would get all tangled especially the pants with ties on the waistband. At the end of the cycle, the clothes are stuck on the sides of the washer and I have to pull them apart. Even after drying, I have to iron everything even my pillowcases which look like they have shrunk they are so wrinkled. I recently bought some 100% cotton outfits and they are even more wrinkled and are starting to lose their shape. I am now noticing that the stains on the clothing are not coming out even when I use a spot remover and put them through a second time. Now I started to notice an odor coming from the machine and my towels and wash clothes have a sour smell. I paid $600 for this machine and after reading the reviews, I just want to replace it. I am now waiting for it to break down. My husband kept insisting I must be doing something wrong. When it goes into the spin cycle, it bounces all around and I have to push it back in place when it is done. I do not think the clothes are getting rinsed enough so now I put them through a second rinse and always put it on low spin. It doesnt see to matter, it sounds like a rocket ready to take off. Is it even worth it to go back to Lowes where I buy all my appliances?

The only thing cheaply made is the push latch on the dryer. Both are pricey for what you get, I thought, though they were the cheapest Lowes offered. We have had the pair for a little over a year. So far no real problems, though we really do not like the latch door. You have to slam the door to get it to close. To do it over we would probably have shopped a little longer and for the same money got a better deal.

I purchased a washer 6 months ago and it was starting by itself so I called to get a technician out and it took them 3 days to tell me that they did not service in our area. Long story short I was out of a washer for 2 weeks talking back & forth with Whirlpool which was absolutely a nightmare. Kept me on hold forever and hung up on me several times so they didnt have to deal with the situation. Absolutely no customer service at all. When it came down to it they were going to issue me a new washing machine and I had to go to the store to get it and when I got to the store they told me I had a $415.00 credit to spend. Thats less than what I had paid for the washing machine and then I am having to spend an extra $200.00 out of pocket to get another washing machine. My warning to you is not to purchase any Whirlpool appliances unless you want to go thru pure hell. These people do not care about anyone after the product is sold. Their customer service sucks, their appliances suck and Whirlpool just sucks all the way around!! Whirlpool - good price for pair. I have had this pair for over 10 years and they work good and are reliable even though they were not the top of the line models. Large capacity is a must - energy efficient is also a must. Discounts are nice to get but if not available I will go with a name brand. I want a washer with an agitator not one of the new ones that dont have one. Reliability is the most important factor so repairs are not needed. I want a full size washer with several cycles and all cycles have a cold rinse to save energy. Having a center agitator is a must - cant stand the newer ones.

We have had this Refrigerator for 3 years in December of 2016. To date, we have had to call a repairman (in February 2016) to replace a circuit board on the back of the refrigerator. That took 4 days, as the company sent the repairman the wrong parts. After that $300 repair, which we got at a discount because, the repairman felt bad that the company actually sent the wrong part. Since then we have taken it apart ourselves for several reasons: The freezer compartment filled up with a layer of ice and started to melt all over the floor, shutting the refrigerator off, (which then forced us to borrow coolers to store the food) until it could be repaired. The drain tube was completely blocked and in order to fix this problem, the tube had to be taken out and modified, according to the Internet videos we then watched. In order to make all of these repairs, the door, the shelves and baskets have to be removed, which is definitely not an easy thing to do at all. There are so many hidden screws and tabs that must be manipulated with tools and by hand to remove the doors, shelves and trays just to get where you need to be in order to make these repairs. With each repair, the ice maker and water dispenser started having problems, because, each time the refrigerator has to be shut down, it takes hours for it to re-set itself. Luckily my husband had the tools necessary, with videos on the Internet to assist us. However, once the first problem started, it was a snowball effect, literally. ALL of these problems have been identified by the manufacturer, however, nothing has been done. VERY POOR DESIGN!

I bought a Whirlpool washing machine, model WTW4855HW, and was I ever shocked at how noisy it was. The wash cycle had a grinding noise that was just too much. After 2 loads I sent it back and didnt regret having to pay the restocking fee. I just couldnt believe that with all the technology we have today, that they couldnt build a quiet machine. Im an engineer so I know there are methods through gearing, belts, soundproofing, etc, to produce a quiet machine. Remember the dishwasher of days gone by. You couldnt watch TV with the dishwasher going. Nowadays, you can stand in the kitchen and have a nice conversation with it running. The technology exists. As a matter of a fact, my old Maytag that finally went bad after 10 years was fairly quiet. So, if you dont have your washing machine in the garage or basement room where you can close the door, dont buy this machine! Bruce in Portland

I purchased a gas range with JDR8895 last 09/06/2007 at Home Depot in Metro Denver for approximately $1700.00. I will make my final payment on my Home Depot account next month. I was preparing dinner last September 10, 2011. I had the pans on the cooktop, one on the right rear and one on the left front burners. This was the set up because the right front burner has stopped working some time ago. Both burners were on a low setting as I was simmering pasta sauce and just warming water as I was later going to boil it for the noodles. I was in my living room when I started to smell something odd. When I approached my kitchen, there was a fire coming from the rear of the cooktop and beneath the three burner knobs. It smelled like an electrical fire. I immediately turned off the burners with my hand wrapped in a towel and started putting out the fire by hitting it with the towel and blowing. The towel caught on fire. I grabbed my fire extinguisher and was ready to spray when finally, it looked like it burned out. The smell in my home is terrible, when I tried to test the lower burner it looked like it was catching on fire underneath the knob as well, so i immediately turned it off and batted it with a towel. Im not sure what happened here. I will make my final payment on this range next month and had the previous range in here since 1977 and that still worked fine. I spent a small fortune on this Jenn-Air, only to have it catch on fire that could have potentially burned my house down.On various web sites including consumer affairs, JDR8895 has many reports of fires. If this is a known problem, why has it not been addressed as a recall? My 9-year old was making soup the day before while I was in the living room. This could of easily happened to her! It is a very dangerous situation to put your consumers in!Whirlpool Corporation contacted the appliance repair company, Columbine Appliances, to inform them that they would only be covering the cost of their visit and not the cost of the parts to be replaced in the range (the ones that caught on fire). Through Columbine Appliance, Whirlpool wanted to inform me that this is not a safety hazard and that it was my fault as I got water in the control knobs. This is not true. If I did, I was not aware and was unable to find any literature about that being a safety hazard or that it could cause a fire. I have found and have forwarded to the CPSC many instances of this exact problem, often when the range was not even in use and are happening to other consumers. I am working on combining the data, contacting the other consumers and have since refused service on the range by Columbine Appliances. Whirlpool only tried to contact me after I left them a message regarding the status of the range and that I had no interest in paying for what I viewed as a defect in their range and a safety hazard. I found a news story of this range going up in flames. Its unbelievable that this company continues to stand behind this product and blame these fires on the consumers actions. I am disabled and have an oxygen machine in my home. I have no desire to have this unit catch on fire again and potentially die, especially since water does, on occasion, end up on cooktops. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

I purchase a new Whirlpool Calypso with Catalyst Washing Machine in 2006 after a house fire. Thinking that I was buying a great machine. I was so upset with my house burning that I never thought about the washing destroying my towels, rugs and sweaters until it was too late on the guarantee. I called the company and ask if there were any more complaints about this machine, and of course they said no. I ask if there was a recall and they said no. I told them that there needed to be a recall of this machine. I so want them to see the towels that I have to use. I am so embarrassed of my towels that I have to buy new when company comes. I made no difference on the price that I paid for the towels. They all were destroyed by this Whirlpool Washer. I have had enough, I am buying a new Washer and it will not be a Whirlpool. I believe that the right thing to do is for the Whirlpool company to put a recall on this machine and give our money back. I had a friend that is in charge of another washer company and had him to look at it. He said that if that was his customer complaining about his washer that they would automatically bring the customer another new machine. I wish I had went with his company. Shame on Whirlpool for treating their customers like they have.

Whirlpool Cabrio - I have had the same experience as those others that have written reviews - over $1,600.00 (on sale) - approximately 3 years old and I was just informed by a service repairman that water has leaked from the center of the tub into the motor and it is trashed. I went to the Whirlpool website to chat with a representative and they are sorry but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee there will be no repairs or parts replacements needed as components do deteriorate or fail on occasion due to factors over which we have no control - they went on to say that since the washer is approximately 3 years old there would be no assistance that we would be able to provide toward repairs. I agree that a class action suit should be considered since Whirlpool is taking no responsibility for a machine that costs too much - makes your clothes smell and lasts for such a short time. Highway robbery!! The dryer is no better but at least it is still working (today anyway!).

We are a poor family with 3 kids who struggle to make ends meet. I feel that this company has taken advantage of the people who put their trust in the so called American company Whirlpool.

My 15 year old front loader quit working and was going to cost more to repair than we thought was worth it. So, we went shopping at Home Depot and based on discussions with salespeople ended up with the Whirlpool cabrio toploader. What a mistake. I am so disgusted with this washer I dont even know where to start. If there was any way we could return it we would do so. The clothes come out wrinkled, twisted, absolutely covered in pet hair and detergent and fabric softener residue. Yes, Im using HE detergent, in the correct amounts. Yes, Ive read the manual front to back. Yes, Ive tried all the troubleshooting suggestions. No, they dont make a damn bit of difference.I would give anything to have my old front loader back. It was a great little machine that did a wonderful job of cleaning our laundry. Pet hair was washed off, I could lay things out to dry and they werent all wrinkly and did not require ironing. Just about everything that comes out of this cabrio machine that I lay to dry needs to be ironed before it can be worn. It is just a horrible, horrible machine and Whirlpool should be ashamed of themselves for foisting this off on unsuspecting consumers.

So I have had the washer for a few years - bought it new or at least I thought. First came a clunking noise - fixed that. Next came the F1 code and installed a new pump $90 plus dollars. After installation, Im still getting F1 code and am now being told it is the ERC control board or water inlet valve either way a guessing game which in the end will have cost me over $400 to fix myself. I wish companies like this would stand behind their merchandise.

My Whirlpool washing machine has not worked properly from the first day. Whirlpool washing machine customer care is pathetic. I bought a Whirlpool semi-automatic washing machine, Sparkle. This product is in warranty period. From the first day, this product did not give right result. Machine sound is very high and I called customer care center may times (around 9-10 times). They sent this machine three times in service center but the results remained the same. The problem arose when we put some load in it. He said the gear box should be changed and the machine should be cleansed off the dirt. He offered some powder costing Rs. 1500/- to be used in washing machine.Later, he asked Rs. 350/- for other parts after two months then I paid them again after 15 days for a piece that did not work. Then, they want to charge me Rs. 350/- again. When I showed the previous slip, they then changed that part without any cost. But after 15 days, again same problem occurred. They charged me 150/- Rs. but the problem is the same. Total money I spent is Rs. 1500/-+350/-+150/-. I also purchased a stand and cover for safety, but what will happen if product is not good? The technicians visited many times and they all said this piece is not okay but they cant do anything. The company should change this product. The machine is still rotting at my home. Im not sure if it could be accepted to be exchanged for a new one. Customer care gave us the satisfaction code but technician did not ask for this code. Im really very sad that I have called around 10 complaints within two years. Why are you people not listening? You all are doing time pass. You can check my complaint codes in your records and ask your technicians about Noida. Many times, I did not note the complaints number. Please open my file and check the issue. I told the technician many times that I want to talk to your seniors and want to tell them the problem because from the first day, it was the same, but they refused. I have also purchased a 320 LT fridge from you but that product is very nice. You should listen to our problems. This was not expected of such a branded company. I promised myself that I will never in my life purchase a Whirlpool product and advise the same to others.

I followed all the tips and it still continues to not clean. Plastic wear and cups stay wet, plates arent clean. We have changed detergents pods as well. We may junk it and buy something else. Recently purchased clothes washer and did not buy Whirlpool. Very, very disappointed. I should have kept my 12 yr. old GE Dishwasher that wasted water... But cleaned my dishes. I have a refrigerator model wrs325fdam. Its not a year old and I cant believe the runaround that I am getting from Whirlpool customer service. Come one day everything in freezer melting. Call a repair person. He come out, diagnose the problems, orders $825 worth of parts for a $899 refrigerator, puts the parts in. On the temperature in the freezer reads 80 degrees. No its order $200 more parts for this scrap metal pile. At what point do the people give a damn at the consumer, its not like anybody has common sense. Im going on two weeks without a ten-month-old refrigerator and four days waiting for them to figure this out. Would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone who cares about fair treatment.

Very dissatisfied with the product, I will never buy another appliance from Sears again. I have always used Sears appliances but after this experience I would not recommend Sears to anyone. Bought Sep. 2012. April 2016 stopped cooling. Four visits over 4 weeks, various parts replaced, coolant refilled. Stopped cooling again soon after first 3 visits. After 4th visit cooled moderately (42 degrees) for 5 weeks. June 24, renewed service contract for 1 year for $112. July 12, stopped cooling! Took 8 days for service person to arrive; 5 days for him to tell Whirlpool that repair needed 5 parts, one of which is no longer made! But they sold me a service contract?? 16 days after initial call, Whirlpool says my case is in adjudication, which will take 7-10 business days. So I wont know what they are offering till Aug. 8th-11th. Four weeks living out of a cooler. The product is rotten, and the service is worse.Just recently discovered that all this time when I thought I was talking to Whirlpool, it was actually sub-contracted to AIG. Yes, the AIG that needed a massive government bail-out. Whirlpool customer service refused to talk to me; referred me back to AIG. The only other all-refrigerator (no freezer - I have a 20-year-old Sears freezer in the kitchen that works just fine) I can find is an inch too tall for the space. But I plan to spend for my handyman to raise the cupboard floor above, rather than buy another Whirlpool! Most of May, four weeks in July/Aug without a fridge. Hours on hold. The first service firm they used was incompetent, couldnt find the cause. I wonder how much of my $1,353 purchase cost, and my $112 service contract theyll refund?

Fixed that myself, but it still wont drain right. The spin cycle is weak at best - towels require a second, sometimes third, spin cycle. The dryer does not heat up like it should on the standard setting. The end of cycle buzzer/beeper on both units is truly pathetic... you better be within 6 feet of the machine when the buzzer goes off or youll never hear it. Having worked for a blue big box home improvement center for 7 years installing appliances, I know all too well the rabbit hole Whirlpool is trying to push me down. All I want is to return the Maytag and go back to a Whirlpool, but the not so pleasant lady on the phone with Whirlpool said all they can do is send out a technician, no returns on appliances. We have a two year Whirlpool warranty through Pulte our builder. The technician shows up and declares that the oven is damaged and repairable. But Whirlpool reject to replace the unit claiming that this is a cosmetic issue and it must have been reported to them within 30 days from buying the home, as this is their policy for cosmetic issues. We did some research on our own and we found out that Blue color liner ovens have a well known issue, but Whirlpool keeps putting these into their products. Our builder is not able to get them to replace the unit as well. I will not ever buy any of Whirlpool products. The repair technician that did the work stated that this was a very common problem with Whirlpool in recent years. Of course this is not covered by warranty. I bought a fridge from this company not even 14 months ago. Went away for a week and came home to a fridge and freezer of rotten food. The fridge had died - Im guessing not long after I had gone away by the look and smell of the food and house. I have had nothing but the run around ever since that day. Spoke to this person and then that person. The electrician confirmed that my fridge is completely dead because of the compressor. So they sent a report to Whirlpool and they have now confirmed that I will get a new fridge. Now Im being told that will take 7-14 days. So I have been left with no food whatsoever as well as no fridge. I have two kids and cant even buy shopping for my son to take to school. And now Im being told that I had 9 months left on the warranty for the fridge that died and that’s all I will get on a new fridge. Should I not receive a new warranty for a new fridge? And should they replace my food? Could really do with some feedback on this matter. Please help me.

November 4, 2017 we purchased a 2018 Tiffin RV with a Whirlpool 3-door refrigerator/freezer. We did not use the RV refrigerator until our first trip to Florida January 2018. Immediate problems with the freezer icing up on freezer door and icing up in the top 2 shelves of refrigerator. Milk, fruit, even cheese froze in the top of the refrigerator. Bottom freezer door froze so bad I had to yank on the drawer very hard to even get it open & chunks of ice would fall off the door on the floor outside once it opened. Called Whirlpool warranty service phone number two times 2/16/2018. I wont go into all the details but we were on hold for a 90 minutes and were transferred 7 times by the automated system. Talked to one person, Lindsey, who immediately transferred me again to RV Dept. No one ever answered. System kept saying, Please wait. Then just disconnected and another recording came on saying to call back. We did not after this fiasco! February 19, 2018 we called Tiffin MH & told them about the NO CUSTOMER SERVICE from Whirlpool. They told us to call Sears in Sebring, FL. We did. If we wanted Whirlpool service to bring the motorhome to them & the warranty only covered parts NOT labor or service calls. They did not want to work on it. March 13, 2018 We went to Tiffin MH Service in Red Bay, AL. Earl called Whirlpool tech, Steve, & tried to explain the problem. Steve told him he did not talk on speaker phone & told him very hatefully to put him on the private line. Steve just very angrily insisting that Earl had him on speaker phone. I do not understand Whirlpools Steve issue with being on speaker phone? Finally Earl got him to listen to our refrigerator problems as he stood there at the refrigerator going through each issue step-by-step. Steve said to put silicon in the seal & that Whirlpool WOULD NOT replace a 3 month old refrigerator that actually had only been used 2 months. We found out later Tiffin is going to replace the refrigerator.

Our Whirlpool refrigerator, model MODGI5FSAXVYO, began leaking water from the freezer onto the floor about 3 months ago. We purchased the unit in January 2011. We had to keep a towel on the floor to absorb the moisture. Our troubles began after the freezer door was left ajar and the interior became quite frosty. We had turned off the freezer several times to defrost but nothing helped until this morning when I read the comments of Marea of McClellanville, SC and Ruth of Vavenby, BC.I then decided to begin exploring taking apart everything until I reached the freezer unit in the back of the freezer. I discovered a lot of ice with the ice blocking the drain hole which is supposed to drain condensation from the freezer fins to a drain pan in back of the freezer. Apparently, leaving the freezer door ajar caused the drain hole and surrounding area to ice up. Condensation from the fins would keep dripping until it overflowed onto the bottom of the freezer until it filled up with ice. The water then had nowhere to go but out of the freezer onto the floor. The simple solution to this problem is to turn off the fridge, empty out the freezer and allow the frozen drain hole to thaw out. You can easily remove the back panel of the refrigerator to see if water is then draining into the drain pain. Good Luck! Ed

Because a year had passed, they were not willing to do anything other than put us in touch with someone who could service the refrigerator. We already know the repair will cost over $200. I purchased a whirlpool under counter oven - my main reason for not buying something cheap was the safety of my family - I chose the AKZM656 eye level oven. The stove is about two years old, but we do not use it that much. Two days ago my wife set the timer and placed a dish in for cooking; she then went outside to water the garden. About twenty minutes later she returned as something was burning- the oven reached a temperature of 350 degrees and would have burnt the whole kitchen down if she did not spot it. Now surely the oven should be designed to switch off if sensors fail? I reported this to Hirsch (Ballito) but they say they have no one servicing the Richards Bay area. I am not sure if this stove should be fixed as it is obviously not safe and makes me wonder how Whirlpool get safety standards passed on these items. Surely you expect better when buying a well-known whirlpool brand?

We bought this unit (Whirlpool fridge #WRF555SDF201) in November 2016. Was so excited! The fridge looks great, love the French doors, and the freezer. Its the ice maker! It spews crushed ice all over every time it is used. Its like the setting is stuck in-between crushed and cubed. Every time it is used ice goes on floor and I have to clean it up. If a small child uses it they get ice in their face and down their shirts. I have been told from Whirlpool and Lowes that it is in the design and they will not even try to fix it. They will definitely not replace it. Lowes claims they know about the way Whirlpool designs their ice makers and that they mention it to prospective buyers, but I know they did not tell me of this design flaw in the product before we bought it. I now simply have to deal with it. It is less than a year old and I burn with disappointment every time I use the ice maker. I am even more disappointed in the lack of concern for me, the customer. I have an oven hood Whirlpool Microwave. Even though its more of a basic model it has worked terrific so far at about 5 years old. Only draw back is the extremely loud 4 beep alarm upon completion of warming up food. I actually cringe when it is about to go off especially early in the morning. Ours doesnt have the handy options button to turn it off. I have tried other combos with the buttons to see if they have it set up different but to no avail. Does anyone know if you can shut it off. The people who design these things must not have babies because they would think of this at nap time Im sure. Truly the sound this thing emits could wake the dead! I also had the fancy Whirlpool before like some folks mentioned about the handle and door frame cracking and disintegrating. Guess what, so did my parents, sisters, aunts and my neighbors. Definitely a major design flaw or faulty materials. My sister, mom got new doors and they began cracking again within a year!

Just bought a Whirlpool stove (WFE540H0ES) from Home Depot. Oven gave off so much heat around the handle that I burned myself opening the door... Tech came out said it wasnt supposed to do that. Called into Whirlpool to get clearance for a replacement and corporate says no to the replacement because that is normal. Thats BS! If that is normal DONT BUY A WHIRLPOOL!! BTW... They are owned by Maytag.

I have a lower end 4 burner model but I love it. Both power burns are in the front (I would change that) and electronic ignition. The oven temp is true and heats up quickly, I bake upwards of 700 cookies at Christmas time. Even being a lower end model it works great and I use it everyday. I think it is more energy efficient than the model that I replaced, which I replaced in order to have the electronic ignition. I would recommend this Whirlpool Range!

I bought a Whirlpool front loading washing machine 5 years ago, which has given me constant trouble. The computer on the machine is not working. When it is fixed, the machines makes extremely loud grinding noises and frequently the spinner does not work properly, leaving you with heavy sodden wet clothes. Whirlpools guarantee is very limited and customer service is unhelpful except to apologize for your horrible experience. You will have to pay for a technician to diagnose the problem. I will have to replace this costly machine after just 5 years of unreliable service. I would never buy a Whirlpool product again.

We have a Whirlpool range that was produced for Kenmore (Sears brand). It’s a glass top with electronic controls. Over the 13 years we have had this range we’ve had to replace the controls 3 times at a cost of over $300 each time. Each time we were under severe lightning storms and got hit with a surge. It would burn out the Control board. We finally got a whole house surge suppressor since a large device is required for 240 volt appliances. Also the glass top has gotten scored over the years. We would not recommend this oven and will likely replace it with an industrial gas stove with manual controls when this one dies or gets too expensive to repair.

I purchased a high-end Whirlpool dishwasher (WDT710PAYM) a few months ago thinking I was making a wise upgrade. Poor design and it wont dry dishes or properly wash utensils when theyre placed in the utensil rack on the door panel. The unit heavily condenses after using heat dry mode and large water droplets completely cover the top of the inside cabinet. Eventually, they all fall down into the dishes and you now have wet dishes again. The Whirlpool tech’s response was to scratch the cabinet plastic with a scratchy pad, smear rinse aid over the plastic cabinet and that should stop droplets from forming. Whirlpool’s customer service told me they shouldve never told me that and what I should do is be there during the drying cycle and open the cabinet door to let the steam out. This is completely ludicrous. Dont walk but run away from Whirlpool products.

This dishwasher does not clean the dishes. Having said that most of the dishes are too oversized for the small capacity. Perhaps the fact that this is such an old dishwasher. This is obviously a problem. We have been in touch with Whirlpool, but they say they cant help?? This should be a recall. We have been waiting on back order for a replacement Lid at OUR OWN EXPENSE since Sept. 20, 2015. I want to get this fixed and use my Machine again. We are Senior Citizens and this machine is used 3-4 times a week. Not abused.

Whirlpool double oven. The electronic control board has been replaced twice and needs to be replaced a third time after less than a year. The thermal fuses go each time I run the self clean. Whirlpools response has been disgraceful, trying to blame the problem on faulty installation when thousands of people have had the same problem. Ignore ANY US companys product; their warranties are worthless and they repair, not replace. My next oven will be European because in Europe they have to automatically warranty for five years any consumer durable. Consumer Reports ratings are worthless since they dont include breakdown experience in the ratings. Never buy anything from Whirlpool. They sell rubbish and dont honor their own warranty. Check the BBB rating. My brand new double oven broke down the first time that I ran the self clean cycle. Whirlpools response was to claim that the cutout opening was 1/8 inch too narrow and therefore they would not honor the five year warranty that I had bought from them. This was a lie, as I verified the width and it was exactly that required. Others have had the same experience. Whirlpool also makes Maytag, Kitchenaid, Kenmore and Ikea.

Purchased Whirlpool dishwasher and range approximately 16 months ago. Dishwasher must stop in middle of rinse cycle because the dishes always feel filmy and there is an inch or two of water in bottom. Must be bailed out by hand. Piece of garbage. Called Whirlpool and they can get us a service man from 8-4 (who waits an entire day these days) on New Years Eve. Next appointment is following week to examine and will fix (if it is their fault and for a fee). The last two dishwashers I purchased lasted 10 and 7 years respectively. Stay away if you dont want bad equipment, uncooperative service, and aggravation. Range I bought was OK but the oven temperature is always off 10-15 degrees from what it says it is. I honestly wanted to buy American but I feel cheated. Next time Ill try Samsung and see if they give a damn.

The low water machines are not as effective as the older models. Even set on a 2 cycle rinse I get suds in the clothing. Cabrio Washer WTW6600SW1 - We purchased this washing machine back in January of 2007 and have had nothing but issues with it. We thought Whirlpool was an upstanding brand and weve found out otherwise. They havent stood behind their product or the issues we have had along with all the other people. There has been a Facebook page about the Famous F1 error code. We have had numerous other error codes we have had to pay to have someone come out to fix. We paid almost $700 for this machine and have had to pay out several hundred more dollars just in repairs. Not worth the money and the company doesnt deserve to be in business if they dont back their product. I get buying a warranty, but if they are same problem with so many machines, it sounds like a manufacturing defect to me.

I recently purchased a top of the line self-cleaning Whirlpool/KitchenAid range. Or so I thought. I used the self-cleaning feature for the first time only to find out it literally does not do anything. Whirlpool quickly answered my Saturday morning phone call and were very professional. When I told them the Aqualift did not work, they asked if I purchased the Aqualift kit. No, what does it contain? Two sponges and a scraper. Basically I was told I would have to clean the oven manually. That would be fine except I have osteoarthritis and cannot clean it manually. Shame on Whirlpool and KitchenAid and Consumer Reports for not doing their due diligence and not testing important features accurately, over a greater period of time with real day-to-day scenarios with people who actually know what they are doing.

I called Whirlpool to have my dishwasher and fridge fixed. I knew exactly what was wrong with my fridge. I asked how much it would cost and was told $129.99. I asked why so much. I was told that it included the labor and service charge. I asked if I would need to pay for both units if I did it the same day. She said that the company provided a 30-dollar discount. I decided to only service the fridge at this time. I spent the entire day today, waiting for the service person to come. And when he showed up, I told him that the fridge needed a computer board. He then started telling me that it would cost $200 for labor. I explain that I was told that it should be $129.99 for service call and labor. And he said, No lady, its $70 for the service call and labor is $200. I then called Whirlpool where I spoke to multiple people within a forty-minute call to explain that this is absolutely wrong and that I am not going to pay for the service call. I then spoke to a Niki (3544) who is supposed to be a manager, who basically said my problem now is with the service company, not with Whirlpool and that there is nothing they can do even if they misquoted me. I agreed to pay $129.99 for service and labor, not an $70 service plus labor. I am so upset because I have been a client of Whirlpool for ten years. I have called for service on multiple items in my home, and I have never had a problem. This is so outrageous. I absolutely expect Whirlpool to rectify this mistake. I am also going to report this matter to the BBB and to Fox News. Whirlpool representatives should be able to provide a quote for one thing, and then when the service comes to your home, its a different amount.

I purchased a Whirlpool Gold top freezer refrigerator (G2IXEFMWQ03) in May 2011. Six months later, the freezer began to collect frost and eventually clogged the refrigerator port from freezer. Since cold air from the freezer was not going to fridge, I had to turn down the refrigerator temp to lowest setting. I had a service person come out and replace Adaptive Defrost Control under warranty - it would have cost me around $250. Now roughly 12 months after repair, the defrost issue is back. The part cost me $175, and that is if I install it myself. I called and mailed Whirlpool which was a waste of time. This is the last Whirlpool I plan to purchase. For the same issue to occur in this short time span, it has engineering flaw written all over it.

Bought this washer in 2013 for close to $800. About a year and half old it got real loud sounds like a freight train. Asked whirlpool repairman about it, and was told it is a main bearing going out. He said it would cost over $500 to fix it. Whirlpool warranty sucks - only one year. Called whirlpool, told them the problem and asked if this is a problem with this washer. Got told no they have no problems with it. Found out later not only do they have this problem with it they change design because of it. Repairman said his own daughter had same problem and he had many service calls on this model all with same problem. WHIRLPOOL WILL NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE PRODUCT WHICH IS A MANUFACTURE DEFAULT. It sets in our house unusable. I will never buy a whirlpool product again. Sad because that use to be all I would buy.

Im 61 so I have some experience. I personally know fridges that have lasted over 20 years. I just Googled it and found out the norm is 14 to 17 years. This hunk of crap lasted 4 years. As soon as I got it home and plugged it in (4 yrs ago) the most noticeable thing was the noise. It sounded like a tractor! I considered taking it back (wish I did). Then after a couple of years the pull handle came off! The whole time we had to be careful the door was closing properly. It was problematic. Ive owned (and re-sold) about a dozen fridges in my life. This the first one to fail on me. It was bad from day one!

Do NOT buy the Whirlpool Cabrio washer...it doesnt actually wash your clothes! Most clothing still half dry after the wash (didnt get any water on them) and they are still smelling sweat after the wash! Also doesnt clean basic stains that others washers clean. Even if you add water manually to the washer to soak your clothes, the clothes on top wont be agitated at all, hence the reason the clothes are still dirty after a wash. Poorly engineered washer... its a lemon as it doesnt do what it is supposed to do (wash clothes). Biggest scam ever from Whirlpool and shouldnt be allowed to be sold to consumers anymore!

We purchased a water heater at Lowes. Our old water heater had an issue but we always had good water pressure with the hot water until we made the horrendous mistake to purchase at LOWES - the worst possible place to buy a water heater. They sent the water heater and we had to look for someone to connect the WHIRLPOOL WATER HEATER (the runaway water heater). When it was installed the water pressure at my home was so bad that only one shower can be used at a time. This never happened before with the old water heater, there was no pressure at all.We called LOWES the WORST PLACE TO BUY A WATER HEATER, they did not accept any responsibility and they sent me to the Technician that Lowes has in DENVER to fix the problem. This bad company (WHIRLPOOL) sent us a crooked technician who wanted to charge us $600 dollars to repair something other than the water heater. We did not trust this person and we called another technician who told us that the water heater is not working properly. There is no one at LOWES and NO ONE at the Whirlpool customer service who can help us with this disgraceful water heater.DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL WATER HEATERS. DONT BUY AT LOWES!!! They are crooks! They do not respond for their products. They do not want to exchange the damn water heater as HOME DEPOT would. Buy everything at HOME DEPOT! Run away from Lowes! They dont stand behind their products, they send you all the work and if you have something wrong with your purchase they will not help you.
