Purchased the Refrigerator in October-2016 after we flooded. The refrigerator stayed in its box that it was delivered in until December 2016 when it was installed. In April-2019 the refrigerator quit cooling and we lost all of the food that was in the refrigerator. We called and reported it to the company and made an appointment for someone to come and look at it. No one showed up for the day we set the appointment in which my wife stayed home the entire day waiting on.We called that evening or the next day and was told it would be the next week before someone came out because the part wasn’t in. The question at that time was what part was ordered because no one had been out yet to see what was wrong with it. Someone did show up the next week and changed the compressor out. Since then the refrigerator makes a loud noise when the compressor kicks on. We have called back about the noise and someone came back and looked at it and thought he fixed it. It still makes the loud noise and we have called again but no one has come out to look at it again.

I agree with the reviewer who wrote that they are scamming you for money. Our fridge broke twice due to the compressor. The first time we paid for repairs $350 in labor. The second time, the repair people said to call LG to get labor covered. I called. First guy took information and said he would call back in an hour after talking to the supervisor. No call 3 hours later so I called again. This person gave me a completely different story and had me do completely different steps including sending in a picture of my receipt of purchase. I did and she said someone would contact me 3-5 business days later. 10 business days later I call to find out the claim had been rejected but theyd be happy to send someone out to fix it with us having to pay for both the compressor and the labor. I told them no thanks. We would be buying a new fridge that was NOT LG.

I purchased my new LG French 3 door refrigerator March 2016. The product worked fine for 3 years (almost to the day) until the compressor failed. LG sent a repairman from a appliance repair company affiliated with LG, and replaced the compressor (LG paid for the replacement, I paid to replace all the spoiled groceries). This compressor lasted only 6 months! Again LG sent a repairman and replaced the compressor. (LG paid for the replacement, I paid to replace all the spoiled groceries). The 3rd compressor has now lasted only 1 month!!!!! LG has just scheduled another repairman to come this Monday. This will be the 4th compressor in 3.5 years of the life of this refrigerator. LG has a responsibility at this point to replace this appliance. This is a refrigerator that cost several thousands of dollars and LG markets how long their appliances last but based on their online reviews and lawsuits, over compressors, this is not the case. New compressors are clearly a short-lived band-aid to what is clearly a bigger problem and this product is no longer worth the dollars and aggravation spent dealing with it.

We bought lg model lfx31925st/00 side by side refrigerator for over $2000. From day one ice maker leaked water to floor, ice froze together as a chunk, or didnt work. LG has had repairman out 3 times, and totally replaced ice maker unit, had repairman check water lines, and overall refrigerator condition. I have also paid and had same company out to replace ice maker. Its a defect in the model, we got a recall card months ago, but heard nothing else. Recently new situation, (now out of warranty) glass shelf over drawers, literally blew apart in a million pieces. Well we must have called them a hundred times by now. Now that its out of warranty, they tell us to go online and buy items. They are not going to help us. With all the LG refrigerator issues, any knowledge of this recall? Any suggestions?

I have waited over three months for my order to be filled by LG, I placed my order through an reputable online Dealer. The Dealer was very responsive at first, after the order was filled by LG and I paid in FULL they stopped returning my emails. The order was for a Multi F MAX LGRED System w/ four indoor units. The order was drop shipped by LG but I have not received ANY information from LG, all I have is a product shipped confirmation from the Dealer. So this sale is now in the hands of LG and I have no idea where my product is? Where it shipped from? Or how long I will wait for it? The Holidays approach and that may interfere with accepting any freight without prior arrangement for obvious reasons. I have no idea how to contact LG, or how I would reference my order even if I could contact them.Customer Care with this Company is ridiculously poor, I spent a bunch of money and I am in the Dark on my end. I cant review the product until I get my hands on it. But I can review the Manufacturer and their complete lack of customer Care and communication. I could have purchased something else, I should have, it would be installed by now and I wouldnt be wasting my time writing this out of sheer frustration with LG.

Purchased front loading LG washer and dryer in Dec 2011. In Feb of 2015 (just over 3 years old), the tub seal around the door developed a hole and was leaking water all over the floor. I went online to discover this problem was chronic. Replaced Rubber tub door seal, but developed leak AGAIN just 10 mos later. Called LG, but they refused to do anything because out of warranty. I am unable to justify pouring any more money into what I believe to be defective product and have decided to simply buy a new washer. LG brand is unreliable and defective. Just go online and look at replacement of Rubber Boot Seal, AKA Rubber Bellows, AKA Tub Door Seal.

LG french door refrigerator with bottom freezer - The unit is only 1 1/2 years old and one of the fans blowing from the freezer started sounding like a 747 on takeoff. I called LG, but was told it was out of warranty and tough luck. They even had the nerve to insist it was my fault for excess ice build up causing fan to fail. I wont waste any more money repairing this thing. I will get a different brand. Do not buy LG refrigerators! They will break your heart and bust your wallet.

We purchased an LG washer new from Home Depot on August 27, 2012. We purchased a 5 year warranty from Home Depot at that same time. Today we noticed stains on some clothes, and discovered significant rusting from the metal under the bleach dispenser (which we never even use). I called the Home Depot warranty company and they said that rust was not covered!! I then contacted LG and they said rust was not covered but they might be able to do something. However, when they learned I had purchased a warranty from home depot they said they could do nothing. Meanwhile, there are numerous other complaints about this LG rust issue, including on their website from other consumers. We are now out of luck on a $1200 Washer. We did everything we were supposed to do. This is a product liability issue, and a warranty scam on several levels. LG is negligent. The Home Depot warranty is negligent as our less than 2 year old machine now ruins clothes and should be replaced or repaired. Please help us.

I have been trying to replace a broken shelf support in my 10 year old refrigerator. The part should cost about $20 and without it, the $2500 refrigerator can barely be used. I have found the part number and contacted everyone on the internet that claims to have one. One parts person told me that they had several in stock in past years but this was a high demand item and they could not get anymore. Universally I was told that the part is no longer available.I finally got through directly to LG customer service and (after being disconnected twice), was informed that LG does not make or keep parts past 7 years after a product was made. Nor did they have a substitute for it. They said I should call any local parts companies to see if they might have one lying around. I explained that no one has this in stock and asked to speak to a supervisor. The rep took my information and assured me that I would hear from a supervisor within 1 hour. That was two days ago. I have had a problem with a different (small) LG product in the past, but cannot believe how little they support their customer base. There is no way I could recommend to anyone that they should try this companys products.

I bought an LG washer and dryer from Best Buy with extended warranties. The washing machine still works perfectly. The dryer however, is a piece of crap; after not even two years the steam function ceased to work. I contacted the extended warranty company which sent out an appliance repair service based locally in Avon Connecticut. Upon looking at the dryer the repairman told me it wouldnt be worth the money to fix it and just to use it without the steam function. It would be too costly to them to repair. I cant tell you how disappointed we are after having a whole household of LG products 10 in total cleaning the kitchen and laundry room. I dont blame any of this on Best Buy, however I do blame it on LG for not having a network to effectively repair what they sell. After repeated attempts to contact LG for almost 6 months we finally gave up. Do not recommend LG washer and dryer.

I have been reasonably satisfied with the refrigerator itself. The icemaker is not all that great but that seems to be a common characteristic in most residential refrigerator/freezers with an icemaker. I had the refrigerator approximately two years and the compressor started going out intermittently. It took a week or so for a technician to come and look at it but they did come and look at it and seemed to fix it, although they did not replace the compressor at that time (which is a problem that LG knows about ).Six months later (May of this year) it completely went out on us. And this happened two days before our vacation. It took them ultimately three weeks to come and fix the refrigerator and my children were at home with no refrigerator. We lost approximately $500 in food, with a inadequate food reimbursement of $150. That felt a little bit like a slap in the face after all the problems we had gone through to get the refrigerator repaired. We went through three different technician appointments and the local repair company was both unresponsive and incompetent. When LG was contacted directly, they promised to help but offered no real help in getting our refrigerator repaired sooner. I own several different LG products and I certainly will do more research and be more careful about buying LG products in the future, no longer just taking for granted That their products are of the quality that I would normally expect from LG.

The specifications on my LG washer state it will pump up to 96 inches high. It does not, and leaves water in the bottom of the tub. It is a LG WM3575 CW, Serial #: 602PNGX2H359, purchased on May 6 2016. It was delivered, installed on May 9 2016. The washer has not drained properly since. I emailed LG on June 2, 2016 about my complaint. I received no response. I submitted an email again on June 7th. I still did not receive a response. After several phone calls, a technician was scheduled to come out on June 17th. He took photos and determined the product was not working as designed from day one and was installed properly. His recommendation was a pedestal or add a check valve to the drain pipe.I contacted LG everyday the following week. Each time I was told I would get a return call. After several calls, it was determined that the photos taken by the technician never made it to the office. I had to take my own photos, and email on June 30th. Now they are saying maybe the extra bend in the hose is the problem. The hose has to bend to go up and it has to bend to turn down into the drain. That is normal and is exactly what the pictures look like on the install diagrams. On August 4th I had another technician inspect the washer, and he gave the same diagnosis as the last technician. I have an open case with BBB # **. The case opened in July, and LG has until August 12th. I called customer executive services to give LG an opportunity to provide a resolution. The representative Robert, supervisor # ** assisted me. He provided the best customer service he could. He researched the information and spoke with technicians and supervisors in order to provide a resolution to the satisfy the customer. I suggested LG provide me a pedestal to determine if that would resolve the issue. LG stated they do not manufacture pedestals, so they cannot provide one. What a failure on your part LG. I will not buy LG again!

Purchased an LG fridge about 6 months ago. Over two weeks ago it began not cooling well and progressively got worse, soupy ice cream, rotting veggies etc... Called the place we bought it from Goedekers online. They forwarded us to LG since it was under a year old. Goedekers made some calls but even the President Steve Goedeker said he cant do much. Unbelievable, these companies are happy to take your money but have no problem leaving you and your family high and dry.LG has been a nightmare to deal with, the first week was wasted speaking to representatives that barely understood English. Finally request someone to come out on their website hoping that will get someone to come out and help us... After many phone calls, many lies, many conversations of no one caring (we are a family with a son under 2 years old etc... in a rural area) its over two weeks now and not even a phone call or servicer has been sent out to even diagnose our fridge. I even found a tech willing to come out and provided LG all the info - found out later through another source that spoke to their dealer department that they denied him because they didnt want to pay him standard rates. They spoke to another servicer in our area and they didnt approve his rates either and kept trying to talk him down as well. They have chosen to not help us and keep our family waiting to try to pay low rates to local service repair men. Youd think theyve spent at least that much paying their employees to make so many calls trying to negotiate ridiculously low rates. Why not just do the right thing and service the customer??? They have put us off, delayed and delayed any kind of progress just to pinch pennies and negotiate with service repairmen to see who will take their low negotiated rates. SO WRONG. My advice NEVER EVER EVER buy LG, our fridge was a $2700 fridge and it is not working in 6 months. They could not care less. Dont buy from online places, buy at your local appliance Ma and Pa place. Someone who will actually care, and hold true to some values.

My husband and I bought one of our first brand new appliances last April when we purchased our first home. It was an LG dishwasher and let me just start off by saying that it is the worst appliance I have ever used, which is completely disappointing. Out of all of the machines I have used in my life this one wins the prize of worst dishwasher. First of all, when I am busy cleaning the kitchen I have got to remember to pull out the bottom rack slowly and carefully, otherwise it will just fall off the track. To say there is a track though isnt really accurate. It seems like LG just decided to throw some wheels on the rack and call it a day. Dont get me wrong, I dont come in like a raging bull and just throw everything open. I just dont think it should have to be in my mind to remember to open slowly so things dont get all thrown off. Its very annoying.Another issue I have is that the dishwasher doesnt clean! The normal cycle will not clean my dishes. I have to use the heavy duty option in order for them to come out even a little clean. I have always rinsed my dishes before putting them in any dishwasher I have ever used, but this one requires my dishes to be put in completely spot free. If they are not spot free, they do not come out clean. It really is almost pointless to even use our LG dishwasher. Last but not least, the soap dispenser gets stuck quite often! I run the dishwasher on the heavy duty cycle for almost 3 hours, and find out the soap dispenser didnt even open! We bought our machine from Home Depot in Pontiac, MI and cant imagine buying another LG appliance. We were excited to have our first new appliance but were let down. Lifes good but LG dishwashers are not.

I purchased an LG refrigerator from ABC Warehouse on 5/24/15. On 6/3/16 my refrigerator stopped keeping things cold and the blower fan stopped working. We purchased an extended warranty for this item and was referred to an appliance repair company that ABC dealt with. On 6/7/16 the company finally came out and they determined what parts they needed to order. It is 6/19/16 and my refrigerator is still not repaired. Its ridiculous that I spent over $3000 on this refrigerator just to have it stop operating one week after the manufactures warranty. To matters worst I purchased an LG washer and dryer 10/15/15 only to have the washer and dryer both need repair work done. I am currently waiting on parts for the washer and since the repair man was out the dryer is now making a noise and is need of service. I will never purchase an LG appliance again. The tines are awkwardly placed, and continually fall down, so maybe a few bowls can go in, but they land flat on their back, pointing up when tines collapse (not exactly conducive to cleaning). Its as though the bottom rack is made to handle a couple of large pots and maybe two or three bowls. The top rack is also strangely designed and again has very little capacity to handle many dishes or glasses. When the bottom rack has dishes in it and I open it, the weight on the door causes the whole machine to start falling out of the wall. Ive probably owned ten dishwashers and can honestly state that I cant even rate this as working. Im literally having it replaced and throwing it away if I cant get Home Depot to take it back... Its less than a month old but I just cannot stand it. Ill pay twice for installation but it will be worth it because otherwise Ill be washing everything by hand. I also bought LG refrigerator and micro... nothing special about them, but I guess I should be grateful they work.

We bought our second LG. The first a top load steam washer and now a front loader. We bought it in 2014. And it has practically ruined our towels. Regardless of how many times I clean it with the clean option or wipe it down, it breeds mold and mildew. All of our towels stink like mold. There is nothing worse than getting out of the shower and drying off with a freshly laundered plush cotton towel and have it REEK of mold. Its disgusting. This model isnt covered in their recall, but $35 doesnt even touch what I paid for my towels. Their QC department needs to work with their engineering department and offer a fix to this issue for consumers.

Many factors weighed in choosing which one to get purchased it because it was cheap and a good size. It can fit a lot for a small refrigerator, we have a tiny kitchen and that one fit. It keeps the food in the fridge nice and cold. I hate room temperature water and if I put water in, then its cold almost immediately. It is a nice texture and overall a good fridge. Sometimes it can get too cold though. Things almost get frozen, which can be nice but also nasty and leave residue. It also broke so we had to buy a new one.

Bought my house 1.5 ago and brand new appliances came with it including the LG refrigerator. Don’t get me wrong I LOVED this fridge at first, however December 31st my compressor went out. Called LG the next day they said a tech in the area would call us to schedule a diagnosis. Took the techs three days to call us. I won’t hold that against them because it was the holidays however the earliest they will be out here to diagnose my fridge is the 14th. That is TWO weeks without a working fridge and this is just to diagnose it.When I called customer service again I found out the technician may not even have the part to fix the fridge when he is here!!! To top it off local people where I live will not touch LG products because of a lawsuit going on with the compressor and the hassle it is to be paid and receive the parts from LG. Even if I could find a local appliance tech to fix it it will still take LG a week to provide them with a letter of approval! So it puts me right back at two weeks or possibly more without any means to cool my perishable items unless I buy a ton of coolers and ice or a mini fridge which still would not fit all of my items. If I could give LG less than a star I would. Poor products and absolutely no care for their customers. The next appliances I buy will be anything but an LG.

Our $ 2400 LG French door refrigerator and freezer was delivered on Feb 1, 2011. It died on 12/14/11. Its been 27 days since our ice maker stopped, then the freezer, then the refrigerator. Lost hundreds of $ worth of food and medicine. Customer service with the repair co. is a joke. Every day its a different reason why they cant get to us. LG is waiting for them to call or they are waiting for LG to OK the extended warranty. And we even have two service contracts, one with Home Depot and one with LG. I guess we are just at their mercy and have to wait.

Fire hazard, the knobs are plastic and strip easily, causing them to turn on by themselves if someone walks by the stove and bumps into it. I have had my house fill with gas 3 times in the past 3 years and I have had the knobs replaced 3 times. One day my entire family is going to die in this house because of this stove if they do not create a better knob as this problem shall continue. No integrity to the knobs, they look and feel like good quality, but are neither functional nor safe. I am disappointed to find that inside the knob hole is plastic (not good quality). After just over a year (warranty expired, of course), two of the knobs cracked inside the holes and will no longer turn the burners on correctly. Within the first year of owning a new LG gas range, the 5-burner control knobs were breaking where the knob slides onto the shaft of the gas control mechanism. I tried repairing it myself and it worked for a while, but now they are so bad they need replacing. Why can it not be made of metal? This simple solution would solve the problem. While searching various parts replacement sites, the knobs are over $70.00 each to replace, 5 x 70 = $350.00 for knobs? Is this customer service and support after the sale? Money pit stove waiting to kill my family.

We recently purchased a new home and with it came an LG washer. After a service call to LG, followed by a maintenance call from a local repair company we are STILL completely dissatisfied with this washer. I have never in all my years of doing laundry (4 children) have ever had to sort clothes based on weight. Even with doing so, the load can take up to two hours to do. The spin cycle is awful and continues to repeat itself. It is quicker to dry a load of towels versus doing a load of wash with the LG. I have read many of the same complaints on this board. LG, you need to do something about this. I would never, ever recommend an LG product to anyone based on my experience with this one product. It is the absolute worst.

I called LG and they said I would have to pay for a technician to look at the washer. Ive had this washer for 2 years and the motor broke down two times. I have to pay to get the washer fixed! My previous Westinghouse washer-dryer I had for over 15 years and not one service call, not one problem in all 15 years. Im so mad at LG and Im insisting that they replace the washer. Absolute worst customer service ever. $3000 French Door LG Refrigerator stopped working one month after going out of warranty, so basically at the 13 month period, $300 worth of food in the trash! Had to purchase a repair plan for $450 to get it fixed. It is the seal system that is causing the problem. Nobody in my area knows how to fix that. I have asked for my money back. NO, they said. A relative of mine is an LG repair man and he said LG has been trying to hire him but he does not want to work for them because their compensation is very poor. No wonder they dont have anyone available for certain jobs. Now we are using our old LG in the garage (Im glad that I didnt throw it away!) for our food. We wanted all of our appliances to match in the stainless steel color. Stay away from LG fridges. We also have stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Those have worked great so far!

My LG refrigerator has shown weird behaviors and lately ER CO on display and shortly stopped making ice. The biggest problem is that the LG service team have no idea of how to fix it and now after 6.5 months of 5 visits and over 12 hrs of phone calls, they have GIVEN UP asking me to buy another fridge. Here are the clear problems with LG tech - a) Tech is under skilled - Over the 5 visits, the technicians came up with different diagnosis. b) No follow ups - There were no follow-ups (I repeat no follow-up) from LG on the next steps after the tech shared the diagnosis info. c) No handover within their teams - Every time when I called their customer care, I spoke to a new person and I had to repeat the whole story again and was provided with new (and may times repeated) steps to follow. d) Tier 2 drops the ball - Very good on the phone, but once off the phone, no easy way to catch. e) Only escalations work - I took to the social media, only when I got their attention and someone senior started looking into the problem and whole history of correspondence.f) No outcome - But in spite of engagement from seniors, the problem remained unresolved and finally they gave up asking me to buy a new fridge.I lost 3 working days to attend the technician visit and over 12 hrs of office time on phone. Total $ equivalent of this time loss is over $5000. Highly recommend avoiding LG appliances.

My LG refrigerator was purchased less than 5 years ago and it’s now non-operational. On 6/29/2013, everything was fine. About 12 noon, and returning from our weekly grocery shopping, we discovered that the lighting in the refrigerator was no longer working. We then noticed moisture all around the top of the doors and upon further checking, discovered the refrigerator was no longer working. It is over 80 humid degrees outside and a Saturday. It is our belief that the circuit board needs to be replaced. There were no signs whatsoever that something might be going wrong. It is my understanding that LG refrigerators should only be worked on by an LG trained repair person. We are not very happy.

LG REFRIGERATOR MODEL: GSJ761PZXV. I have purchased the above LG refrigerator from LG in May 2019, and I figured out that LG technology has far exceeded their current capability. This refrigerator has a space shuttle technology. Back in January the sensor malfunction and it makes beeping sound every few minutes for 24/7 non stop. Reported to LG and arrange for the technician to come over to fix, however on the 1st visit unable to fix it and need to order the parts and arrange for next appointment in Feb but during this time the appointment has been rescheduled due to parts did not arrive. Then the technician came and find out the LG has sent him the wrong parts and need to arrange for another appointment and wait for the parts to arrive. Yesterday (9 April) the technician informed us that he has received the wrong parts from LG again and need to reschedule the appointment.Very very disappointed with LG, they only know how to manufacture refrigerators but dont know how to fix it, they have no knowledge about their product, (got the model no.) and still cannot figure out the correct parts to fix the problem. Customer service will put you through different people over the phone but with no solution. This beeping sound has been going on non stop 24/7 for 4 months. Would some from LG have an answer to it. I THINK I HAVE TO WRITE TO LG IN KOREA TO SEND AN ENGINEER FROM KOREA TO FIX MY REFRIGERATOR.

LG is a brand I really trust that is on the cutting edge of innovation and I am proud to have in my manor. It looks beautiful in the kitchen with the other stainless steel appliances. The LG refrigerator is stainless steel which makes it very attractive and resistant to fingerprints and smudges somewhat. The cubic foot footage is excellent and it has an ice maker and water dispenser as well as ample storage space and drawers. Its just a beautiful refrigerator. I considered several brands but LG was definitely one of the most stylish looking and was fully loaded with features and innovation at a price which was very reasonable considering the others.

The washer keeps tripping GFI which indicates a current leakage problem, that is, a DESIGN PROBLEM. Local techs and LG keep writing this up as an electrical breaker tripping which is a problem of shorting out, or over-amping, not current leakage. GFI breakers are required by electrical code in areas where water is present. The local techs and LG want to solve this problem by removing the GFI, thus violating electrical code in order to make their product work. Current leakage design problems dont improve, they get worse over time, further endangering customer safety.

Bought a LG French door refrigerator April 2012. Within 8 months if you use the ice dispenser, it would not stop dispensing ice without jiggling the dispenser. Call LG, they sent someone who brought the wrong part because the person did not understand the problem that I told them about. The repair person said he had to order a new part and it would take a couple of weeks. About three weeks later, I receive a phone call from LG stating that instead of fixing the ice maker they were going to replace the whole refrigerator. That should have been the first sign of trouble. I said ok. They said I need to send them the serial name plate on the inside. I said ok but why. “Well we dont want the refrigerator back, but we dont want any serial numbers on this to void all warranty.” I guess this is because if I sell it I cant claim to have a warranty for it. That’s fine, Im getting a new refrigerator. Mistake number 1. They are going to call me with a date and time. Finally someone else calls to set up delivery and tells me the date and that this refrigerator is only going to have a warranty of 90 days and they are not going to set up the new refrigerator. Mistake number 2. I thought only a couple of months left on this refrigerator, get a new with a couple of extra months. I agreed with this and the people brought in anyways. Now with the new, 8 month later, I now have the error message 1f. I you are thinking about this refrigerator or LG products, stay away. Purchased two LG refrigerators both breaking down same way. Thought the first time was just defect; now after reading blogs and comments just poor manufacturing. On the first unit 1mth after buying, fresh food storage stopped keeping food cold and freezer stopped freezing. After 3 attempts to fix through LG, I refused a fourth try. They refused to exchange. Home Depot absorbed the loss and exchanged the refrigerator, which they didnt have to do. Now 2.5yrs later of course bought LG, like I said 1st time bad luck. Now again refrigerator not cooling, had to throw out food last night and again today and the freezer now not working, of course, warranty expired after first year, and they cant help me. Have 4 kids, can barely afford to buy food and make it last. Now Im throwing it away and cant get help. Why would a Refrigerator stop working only after 2 1/2 years? Poor manufacturing. After checking internet blogs and complaints, found out thousands of customers have had the same problems, have been reported it, and have gotten no help, have to pay out of pocket and have someone come in and diagnose the problem then order the part directly through LG. The company should be ashamed of its self for not resolving a problem like this when families buy their products because of past reputation of being reliable - $1200.00 paid and only lasted 2.5years. Now will cost me between $200.-300.00 for the repair. I will never recommend or purchase another LG product again. Thats why they only warranty their products for 1yr only. For a purchase this big and important storing food and knowing all families and people in general have the use for this item, they would have more integrity.

However, if you think having ice is the logical outcome of an ice maker, you will be more than disappointed. To date, we have replaced the ice maker twice. Kudos to the staff training at LG! The first person we contacted spoke with sure had a thick accent that it was impossible to understand, let alone reply to her questions. Speaking with her supervisor really allowed LG to shine. She had mastered the highest level of being patronizing that I have ever experienced. In essence, I was told how badly they felt about my predicament and flat out that it was my problem. Now it is theirs. I will try to discourage anyone who asks about purchasing any LG product.

Last Friday, I came home with a car-full of groceries only to find that something was wrong with my LG model LFX31925ST. Retrieving my owner’s manual to call for help on my 18-month old fridge deemed fruitless. After being on the phone with what seemed to be an outsourced customer service department for over 30 minutes, the only help I received was My policy says I cant do anything,” which when translated meant I was out of luck. That cool feature where you can link your smart phone for a diagnostic check is only good for the first year. I was told he could schedule a serviceman to come out to check the codes on the door panel for a beginning fee of $89.00. I said I was unable to afford it and hung up. My son went online and looked up the error codes, which this rep refused to tell me what they meant and was not listed in the manual. After further online research, I was able to figure out what I could do and 24 hours later, it was back to working. It was the icemaker fan, which appears to be a flaw in these fridges. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I researched different products 2 years ago when I discovered that my husband was planning on leaving me. I insisted on what I thought was top of the line appliances in the kitchen. So I now have a fridge I cant rely on, a dishwasher that doesnt clean dishes no matter what soap or rinse agent I use and an oven that works but it is a good thing I dont cook much. I am disabled and on a fixed income, so I was hoping that my new kitchen would last me 10-15 years but may get less than 5 at this rate. Dont go by reviews on their website since they only use certain reviews.

We bought an LG French door refrigerator in late 2017 and it worked without too many major issues, until October of 2020. In October, it suddenly stopped cooling. We called LG to have repairs made under the 3 year warranty. After many delays, they found a repair company in our area to come out to do the repair. They said it was the compressor, ordered a new one and replaced it. The refrigerator still doesnt work. We have been without a refrigerator now for over two months (for a four person household). I have called LG nearly every day, for the past 6 weeks. I have been elevated to the Executive Service response team. What a joke. I receive a different answer every time I call. After about a month of trying to find an authorized repair person to look at the refrigerator again, LG finally agreed to simply submit a claim for Alternate resolution; i.e. replacing the refrigerator. The claim has been submitted now at least 4 times; there is still no decision on whether or not they will honor our warranty. Every time I call (nearly every day now) I am provided with another excuse as to why there is no decision. This has been the worst consumer experience of my life.

I purchased a $1,200, top of the line LG, in September of 2009. November of 2011 the machine came up with an error code of 1E, which the manual states a water inlet valve. So the part was replaced. Guess what? That wasnt the issue, so I contacted LG, and they had me go over some troubleshooting over the phone with no luck. So they gave me appliance repair centers that only deal with LG. To make a long story short, after having 2 parts swapped out - one was for $91.00, the inlet valve was $54.00 and another $91.00 yet to be paid to the appliance repair guy. Oh and I forgot about the computer board (which only has a 5 year warranty) was replaced - I have a $1,200.00 dishwasher that does not work!LG called me to say that they will prorate it by giving me $676.00. After all that was put into it, that comes to $440.00 and I have to send mine back. Hmm. I told LG that this is unacceptable. Her answer, Well sir, its a man made product, so I laughed in which I replied, So if I purchase anything from LG and it craps out after 3 years, I am supposed to just accept that Oh well! Its man made? My fellow consumers out there, beware. Life is not good with LG.

I purchased a fridge from Home Depot on July 18th 2020, May 20th 2021 it started making noises and read an ERROR CODE, I called LG the first available day, I was sent thru the warranty service company and dealt with them scheduling a tech that didnt come prepared with the correct equipment to even work on the thing, then was told the wrong parts were ordered, waited on new parts and then the warranty company kept scheduling a tech that wasnt certified to work on the fridge so the system was cancelling the appointment. Finally on June 15th I spoke with a case manager at LG who assured me she was the one dealing with my case and would have it taken care of in 7-10 business days.On June 29th I received a text message asking for yet another picture of the product tag located inside. Which I immediately returned.. I lost over $500 dollars in food and was refunded $200 for that.. Now here we are July 9th. I called today to see what was going on, the rep would NOT give me her name, she called me a liar and hung up on me, when I called back to ask for a supervisor I was told there were NONE available and it would take 72 hours for one to get in contact with me. At this point I will be contacting a lawyer to see what the next steps are that can be taken, this has been the worst experience EVER. I have children and going almost 2 months without a fridge is UNCALLED FOR.. I would not recommend buying any LG PRODUCTS because the customer service and the warranty company they deal with are terrible!!!!

This dishwasher cleans great. The problem is that every couple of months I get an OE error which indicates that there is a clog or blockage. Our filters are always spotless yet this continues. The way I fix it is to disconnect the drain hose at the sink and use a shop-vac to suck all the water out of the dishwasher. This thing is way too sensitive and after reading all the reviews I realize I made a mistake by buying it.

This is our 2nd LG dryer same model in 40 days. The same problem has occurred with each one. Dry cuts off and will not cut back on. We purchased it from our local Home Depot which have done everything they can to make right what LG has not. LG should be shut down for making lousy products that fail to work. I feel like the Better Business Bureau should be involved and shut down this company from taking innocent consumers money. My husband and I have missed 3 days from work to meet A&E repair company to work on our dryer. If it werent for the manager at Home Depot, we would have no one to talk with since LG doesnt give a rip. Why does Home Depot continue to carry such a horrible product line? PLEASE...PLEASE, Do not buy LG products. They are a rip off and this dryer may cause your home to catch fire.

This company is a joke! Just look at all the 1 star complaints. Where were these reviews when I purchased? Well, the refrigerator was a brand new model with a brand new design called a linear compressor. This so-called ‘energy saver’, has been verified a complete disaster. It was faulty from day 1 and all the technicians will agreed. LG has since redesigned it, so now instead of 1 1/2 to 2 years, it is made to last up to 3 years before it fails. Save on energy? Perhaps, but you will pay through the nose on faulty parts every couple of years. It will cost you at minimum of $1,000 for the compressor to be replaced and a bit less to have your motherboard replaced when it fails. This does not include the hundreds to thousands in wasted food when the refrigerator crashes, the 2 to 6 week wait for a certified repair person (eat out every night?), the hours spent dealing with LG (NON-EXISTENT) customer service, who will never return a call or follow-up, who will argue with you, mock you, and make up lies regarding what their warranty plainly says in writing and in an easy to read chart, which they will refuse to honor. I urge you all to file an online complaint with your states attorney generals office. They handle these types of cases. Instead of complaining on here, where nothing will come of it, take a moment to get real action. They are basically stealing! They are the ones who manufactured faulty parts, they should be held responsible. If you bought a car that had a defective part, there would be a recall and the company would replace it. But LG has no honor, or concern for the millions of dollars paid out by consumers to repair or replace their products. They will NEVER care, unless they are FORCED TO!!! Aside from your State Attorney General, complaints to the Better Business Bureau, media outlets, blogs, complaint sites, The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), State Consumer Affairs Departments, letters to the store managers who carry their products, etc. LETS MAKE THEM ACCOUNTABLE!

Bought LP model LFX25978ST /00 1/28/2012. Lasted 7 Years. The repairman said we fortunate because in LG training classes the instructor, when asked about the life of the LG fridges, he said 5 yrs avg. Stay away from Samsung and LG Fridges. We were without for 2 wks waiting for part after part till it came down to being the compressor. It was under warranty however LG told me that I should and have to have a certified LG repair person make the diagnosis and fix.Gentleman came and was very courteous. LG sent us a compressor overnight but it took 4 days to receive it. Then come to find out not only was the compressor shot but it leaked freon out into the inner casing and all that would have be replaced. He said go get a new fridge because the repairs would be way more than the cost of a new one. Still have the compressor. Tried to return it to LG, since it will only fit that model, they said would issue an RMA. Its been a month now and I still have not received it. Called they said it would come when it comes. Never again will I buy an LG Appliance.

I purchased a LG Refrigerator (model no: LSC27910SW) about 4 years ago. 4 months into it the icemaker broke. 8 months after that the lever for the icemaker would get stuck when you pushed it in forcing you to manually grab the lever to stop water/ice. Had it fixed again. 1 1/2 into it it started doing it again. We have been living with it like that. NOW the outside of the refrigerator is rusting all around the outside of the dispenser and on the corners of it. I live in Colorado. We dont have humidity. I E-mail LG 2 days ago. No response. Called LG today. They said Sorry but we cant do anything for you. I told them, I am buying a new refrigerator, do you want me to buy a LG again? His response was thats up to you. I will never buy ANYTHING LG again.

Man I wish we would have paid for new racks for our old KitchenAid. My blood pressure rises every time, every time I load up this crappy LG dishwasher. The tines are badly located, what is with the big area on the lower rack that had no tines? Because of the rack/tine design, we get about 20% less dishes in this thing. Then it runs forever but that is part of all new dishwashers. I like how sites say to run the water first so the water is hot. Yep KitchenAid heated the water much better. It had a heating element on the bottom that dried the dishes. KitchenAid had a filter on the bottom that was easily removable. The spray arms on the LG are so flimsy. I wonder if they will last 2 years. Errr!!!

I bought a LG dishwasher in 2017 from Home Depot. Registered it and it worked fine for almost a year. Then it started stopping before the drying cycle and constant beeping and didnt drain. Over the coarse of 9 months, 2 different repair companies, many hours on the phone, weve had the control panel replaced 2 times, the mother board replaced 1 time, the door lock/latch 3 times. Each repair lasts about 2-3 weeks. I have taken videos of the problem when they didnt believe me. The machine shows no error code and the smart app on my phone when linked says the machine is working fine. I have asked for a replacement washer because this is a lemon. I have documented all my emails to LG and to the service techs. When I read all the negative reviews on this same product, and under the review LG replies to contact them by calling them, or contacting on Facebook or Twitter because they want to make it right, I have to laugh. I have done all that including contacting them on Facebook. When the repair man visits your home and reports your problem to LG tech support, then sends the report to LG, tells you to wait for LGs response. No response in over a week so I call customer support. You cant call tech support only the repair guys have access to them. Customer service doesnt have access to Tech support. They leave them a note to call you. So you go round and round. As I am writing this I am waiting again for the repair man to arrive to fix my LG dishwasher that now will not start at all on any setting. It flashes, then beeps then stops.

This is the noisiest piece of equipment in the house except for the washing machine or vacuum that run very rarely. This LG refrigerator is way below my expectations. We called the service department, they said that due to a pump of some kind this is the noise they make. This morning, early, 5 am, this machine sounded like a Martian flying saucer. The repairman has been here several times but cant find the leak. This leak is ruining my floor. Also if you try to wash 2 towels and 2 sheets together, it practically bounces across the floor. I have had a horrible experience with LG and will never buy another LG product. About 8 months ago I bought as beautiful electric range with the purple/blue oven that self cleans at a low temperature. The stove is still working great but I noticed that the enamel in the oven is just flaking off and where the racks are the enamel failed and popped off.I called LG since the oven is still under warranty and was told that this defect is cosmetic and that I would have to pay for parts and labor to have it repaired. Enamel serves a function in an oven, it protects the metal from oxidizing and protects the oven from heat and food that would be absorbed without enamel. I explained to the agent that this is a functional defect and not cosmetic and got nowhere with LG. They just dont care about their customers at all. I am a manager for a call center and could not believe the response I received on this issue and the attitude of the agent. I was fuming after this experience and wrote an e-mail to corporate explaining what happened and explained that if I do not receive a reply within a reasonable amount of time I will escalate or take action in another manner.I never did get a response so I spoke with the manager of Home Depot and showed them pictures and explained the bad experience that I had. This the manager picked up the phone and called LG and Explained the issue and added that the popping porcelain is also a health issue and being a convection oven is getting blown around. She got the same crap from them that I did. Other employees came over to see what was going on as this manager was fuming and stating that they have never ever seen a situation like this before. The manager then said that we will take care of you and get you a new stove and again stated that this was ridiculous. The manager was still angry over the situation and told me that she is making some calls to pull other managers together Monday for a conference call to LG Dealer support and said that she is going the climb the corporate ladder on this one.I see a ton of lawsuits against LG and a huge number of complaints, it seems that they do not care or respond to their customers and end up in a lawsuit. I was contemplating on a lawsuit but came up with a better idea. I am going to work closely with Home Depot management and get data on whatever they need and work to have Depot drop all LG product lines. I think I have Home Depots attention on this and just have to follow the process. I have always had positive experiences with Home Depot and I dont want to see any more of their customers go through this experience and lack of accountability on LGs part. If everything is successful and LG products are pulled from Home Depot this will be a huge revenue loss for LG which is well deserved. This will hold them accountable for their actions and is far easier than a lawsuit and there is a ton of data on poor customer service and product support.

First time I have ever felt compelled to write a review but after reading through so many here and having the worst experience Ive ever had with a Customer Service group I really need to. For the reviewer who said they took a day off to be home for a confirmed (via email) service appointment that was a no-show cancellation because LG never actually had a repair person confirmed - the exact same thing happened to me two weeks ago today... I even called that morning 3 hours into my 4 hour window to verify and was told someone was en route only to find out when I called 90 minutes later I was only then told that the appointment was canceled. I later spoke with the repair facility and they told me they had declined the job because they didnt have availability!Seems Im luckier than most that my LG fridge has gone 8 years without incident. 16 days ago my wife opened it in the morning and it was totally dead. No lights, no compressor, just no power. The outlet tested fine but the lack of lights pointed to it being electrical. I called the toll free number for LG on the inside of fridge and the person seemed helpful enough; Said it probably needed a new motherboard, but because it was out of warranty he would need my credit card details and for $361 we could get this fixed. Thats cheaper than a new fridge so I gave him what I needed and they were certainly very expedient in putting the charge on my credit card! I started to look around on the internet to see if any other reports of this issue and if the fridge could in fact be saved and learned that this whole issue likely stemmed from a small, blown 15 amp fuse... A part that LG soldered into the motherboard rather than put in a easily bracket for easy replacement that could be purchased for about 25 cents. After the no-show appointment, LG Customer Service said they would give the job to another repair facility. They put me on hold, came back a few minutes later and told me they had left them a voicemail and they gave me the phone number and told me that I was free to reach out to them too. I phoned, and left a voicemail around midday that Friday and never received a callback. Over the weekend I phoned and left another voicemail to give them my cell # as well as Id be back at work on Monday and that would be the best number to reach me. By midday on Monday I still had not gotten a call. I did call the number through from the email confirmation the previous week and got a speaking person who gave me the true story on the canceled appointment and told me they could see me on Wednesday afternoon. Confirmed it with them and asked them to contact LG and that I would do the same to let them know that their other company doesnt appear to exist and they need to reassign it to the original technician they schedule. I called LG and was on the phone on hold for most of the time for almost an hour. After an hour and 20 minutes I was disconnected and nobody called me back (all this time Im at work and doing LGs work for them!). I called LG back on my way home and the told me all was good to go.Repairman comes on Wednesday (approximately 1 week since no fridge/contacting LG) after I take a half day to be home and the diagnosis is a blown fuse. Great, but despite it being known from the onset that the motherboard needs to be replaced he doesnt have the part, but they do have 2 in their warehouse and will work with the warranty company on the formalities to try and replace by Friday. No appointment gets made, Repair Service says theyre waiting on LG to approve. I call LG and they tell me another Department cant make the appointment as the Repair Services schedule isnt available online. I call the Repair Service and they tell me nonsense, theyre getting scheduling confirmations from them right now. I call LG back, they tell me theyre now waiting on the Claims Department to approve the part, a process that can take up to 3 business days (this despite charging me almost $400 to replace the part over a week ago).Monday this week comes and I have no phone call, and no appointment. I call LG back and again more being put on hold but now the explanation is were waiting on the part to come in. They couldnt answer me when their Claims Dept approved this so we arrived to this step, nor why we couldnt have had the repair facility (a LG contracted provider!) use one of theirs. They have in stock but Im starting to feel this whole thing is shady. They told me refrigerator repairs are given priority status (a joke!) and that my simple repair was being given a priority to be remedied this week.I called LG back 2 days later (Wednesday, 2 weeks of no fridge and first contact with LG) having not heard back from them and was told that the system shows that I was told that I would be contacted by Friday at the latest if the part had not arrived. I lost my patience at that point and told them I was not told the part coming in would take a full week and that I was instead told that my repair would be a priority to be completed this week and how could we be waiting on a part we knew it needed from the onset, that is readily available to purchase online at a fraction of what Im being charged, and that their repair service was in possession of 2 of them. I told them that rather than trying to bilk a few extra dollars of profit on this 5 minute repair job by using the cheapest available board they can assign in their system they really need to make this a customer resolution case as its been 2 weeks and I need to speak with someone who can look at this absurd situation and make an actual decision to get it fixed. They tell me they will try to forward me to a supervisor to see if they can help. After 10+ minutes on hold the person I was speaking with comes back online and tells me the repair appointment has been made for between 8 AM and 12 PM tomorrow. I thought someone in charge realized and was acting in customer-retention mode until they told me it was not the repairman who had seen me a week ago that would be coming but the one who never returned my 2 voicemails. I asked to confirm for certain hes bringing the board and fully prepared for the appointment to make the repair and am told is the case.I take another half day from work, and the repairman shows up early and when I let him in my house I half-jokingly say to him, Please tell me you have the board and he looks at me with no clue and says he didnt bring anything, the work-order he got only said LG Refrigerator - not cooling. Hes almost as angry as I am that he wasnt told the fridge was totally dead of electric and that another technician had already been here and made the diagnosis. I felt bad for him as he came from a good distance away in the teeth of rush hour having been told to make my call a priority but a total waste of his time and mine. At this point I called LG and just lost it with them and essentially told them their Out of Warranty purchase had to be some kind of scam bordering on criminality as there is no way a real business enterprise could be this incompetent! I was told my account was being escalated to their real Resolution people (i.e. the ones tasked with explaining the inexcusable) and it would take 24 to 48 business hours for one of them to contact me and no doubt the buffer is in hopes that Im much calmer.I have a family of 4 thats been living out of a cooler on my kitchen floor the last 16 days and running out every other night for a new 16 LBS bag of ice. I had to invest in a chest freezer for my garage so that we had some kind of food for my kids on-hand. Ive burned 2 full days off from work and have easily spent more than 3 hours on the phone during business hours on hold with LG. And my fridge is still not fixed, and no appointment in sight for someone to come here and essentially unplug 5 little plugs and then plug the 5 little plugs into the new board. And they charged me almost $400 for this level of service when I could have gotten a new board for $120 and done this myself.I think LG right now on the service front is trying to milk the last nickel of profit on these out of warranty purchases on the assumption it will be the last nickel they see from these customers. Perhaps a self-fulfilling prophecy experiences like this will make a reality. Maybe the US market isnt working out for LG Appliance as it doesnt seem like their heart is in it for the long-haul.

We purchase the LG Dishwasher in 2016 along with a refrigerator. The 29.7 Cu ft refrigerator is great, the dishwasher is good, but the lower rack comes off the rails it runs on and gets sideways in the washer. When it is full, you must literally pick it up and place it back on the rails it runs on. When it is empty you still have to place it back on the rails, but it is easier for my wife to handle. We are looking for a new dishwasher in our Florida home. When we saw the LG at Home Depot, I tried every dishwasher to see if the rack would fall off. The only one that did fall off was the LG. The other dishwasher had plastic bumpers the kept it from falling off. I would love to have a fix for our 4 year old dishwasher.

Purchased a LG refrigerator in 2017. On Thursday morning 5/21 it just stopped working. No freezer no refrigerator. I immediately called customer service to set up a service call, that was Thursday morning. I was told by the service representative that the service technician would call me back within 24 to 48 hours with a time and date for the service call. I called then this morning 5/22 to double check on the information I had given them because there was some confusion with my contact phone number. I was informed by the new customer service person that the service call had been accepted and then rejected. When I inquired as to what that meant he told me that there is no one available in my area to service the refrigerator. When I asked him to explain what that meant he said that the compressor needs a technician with special training to repair the problem and they could not find one. I dont live in the middle of nowhere, there is a city of 900,00 thirty minutes from my house so I am not sure why they had no problem selling the refrigerator to me but they dont have the resources to repair it. I was told that it would probably be next week before someone would be out to fix the problem. From what the customer service representative stated it is most likely the compressor, after three year of use the compressor went out. I just purchased a new freezer after the old one died and it was thirty five years old, this one goes out in three years. This is the last LG product that I will ever buy, unfortunately this has been an expensive lesson.

What a disappointment!! A few years back my husband and I purchased new LG appliances for the kitchen and also a washer and dryer - all LG products. Paid a PREMIUM price - all the bells and whistles. From day one there has been nothing but headaches with every item we purchased. From the interior finish in the oven flaking (LG and Home Depot would do NOTHING to help us. We had to purchase new range!!), to the microwave falling apart, the drying faulting out and now this horrible washing machine!! Between the mold this machine creates (yes, I leave everything open and wipe it down after each load), not always working correctly (gets confused...) now the drain motor needs to be replaced which has been estimated at $300 parts and labor!!! This is ridiculous!!! What a piece of junk and SHAME on LG and HOME DEPOT for not producing/selling reputable products and standing behind those products!! As you all know, these items are not cheap!

I bought my LG refrigerator in December of 2016 and it’s only October of 2018 less than 2 years and the front of my refrigerator is leaking an acid type of stuff and all LG said was that I needed to pay for it out of my pocket because they only give a 1 year warranty. I told them if it was from wear and tear I could see that but this could be VERY HARMFUL to have an acid type of substance coming out of my refrigerator. So I would not under any circumstances buy this product. Model LSXS26366S / 02.

The microwave has lost power twice within the last several months, making it so we could not cook because we depend on the FAN for EXHAUST. The microwave is 10 months old and every time I call LG, I am transferred out of country - impossible to understand or communicate. NEVER AGAIN! Please save yourself the headache and find another brand - one where the company stands behind its product and actually cares.

I will never buy a LG product again. The dishwasher is mediocre at best. We bought all new appliances of LG. They all suck. They are made cheap and things break easily. We had a real bad experience with the customer service dep. If you want good customer service? Buy American whenever possible. Again! LG sucks.
