We bought our refrigerator as an appliance set with stove and dishwasher on 4/24/2014. The model #LFX32945ST, our delivery date was 6/20/14. We did not buy extended warranty at that time. It began to slowly breakdown Nov. 2016. First the ice started to melt down onto floor, then everything in my refrigerator began to go bad then finally everything in my freezer started defrosting. I had to buy bags of 40 lb bags of ice, put everything in 3 coolers to stop from going bad. We had to go out to eat diner everyday. LG offered an extended warranty for $463.00 one repair visit including parts and extended for 1 year for one more breakdown. They said if they could not repair they would give us depreciated value of the refrigerator. Dependable Appliances who was contracted by LG to do the repairs came to my house 11/16/16. When the appliance repair man came to my house after waiting 5 days for his arrival he didnt even look at the back of the refrigerator. He told me since it is just over 2 years old and nothing is working in the refrigerator it really should be replaced. He told me he would put that in my report that I needed a replacement and it could not be repaired. After waiting 3 days for them to call me I decided to call Dependable to find out that no replacement was coming and that they were ordering a part. They could not tell me when it would come in. Three days before Thanksgiving we decided to cancel the warranty and just buy a new refrigerator after reading nightmare scenarios online and on BBB. I pray that my LG dishwasher and stove to crash also. Keeping my fingers crossed. Never again.

We purchased 3 high end LG Appliances for our home 6 years ago - each has broken down so far. Now the fridge is broken again (exact same problem I paid to fix 6 months ago) and LG refuses to stand behind their repairs or products. This is outrageous for a company such as LG to take advantage of customers and collect repairs costs on an ongoing basis after they have sold their products. Please consider any other brand (even a cheap one) before LG... they are a bottomless money paying pit.

I asked for a repairman to come out to address this issue after a prior repair. I was told to unplug the unit and let the coil defrost. Not possible with food in the refrigerator and freezer. So the noise continues!

Our front-loading washer, bought through Best Buy 6 months ago, has a soap dispenser that will not properly drain. LG customer service, now contacted 5-6 times, will not fix the problem without a proper paper receipt. Nothing I have is good enough for them. The most frustrating experience for a brand new appliance.

This WT5075CW washer is completely useless. I am going to have to replace it, and I have only had it a little over a year, but I cant take it anymore. It gets unbalanced on the spin cycle for no apparent reason. I only was like weight and size clothes together. I rearrange the clothes when it gets unbalanced and then restart. It starts filling with water again and stops unbalanced again. I try the Spin Only cycle. Same thing. I was the same loads every week and it is completely random as to which load will have this problem. Last week, it was the delicates – how can they cause an unbalance???!!! I am left with an entire load of sopping wet clothes that I have to drain over the top of the washer, hang out on the patio until the dripping stops and then dry in the dryer for over an hour. I called my BrandsMart extended warranty repair team out and they said that is how the washer was designed and charged me $60.

I purchased an LG Dishwasher model number LDF7811WW for $610.00. From day 1, the thing never really cleaned our dishes (we also rinse them before putting them in the dishwasher too). This is our timeline with this lovely dishwasher: purchased it on 4-27-08. It wasn’t cleaning dishes, so on 3-26-09, I called there repair number. A guy came out and adjusted the cam for the upper and lower spray arms. It was still not cleaning dishes. I called the repair number again on 5-18-09. A serviceman came out again, had to replace the motor. On 3-22-10, it was having problems again not cleaning dishes. I called their repair number and a guy came out. He had to replace the sump assembly (which he said was the guts of the dishwasher). On 7-25-11, I had to call yet again. The dishwasher was not cleaning dishes. I called their number, he again had to replace the sump assembly (the guts of the dishwasher) and now it is 11 -2-12, I’m having trouble again. So within 4 years, I have had the major components of the dishwasher replaced 3 times and I’m sure it’s going to be the fourth when the guy comes again later this week. I called customer service for LG and they pass the buck and say it is up to my extended warranty people, which thank God we purchased (because we usually don’t). They say that the part has to go bad 3 times within a year to be considered for the lemon law. Well, if you ask me this is a lemon. I should have kept my 20-year-old Whirlpool dishwasher which I never had a problem with but just was updating the kitchen so we replaced it. Big mistake! In my opinion, this is not standing behind their product. I’m sure, to them people $610.00 is nothing, but in this household, it is very hard to come by and I want to get what I paid for. I could have bought lemons much cheaper at the grocery store. Buyers beware.

I purchased an LG washing machine. First one came damaged as it was delivered without a box. The replacement which came several weeks later after several follow up phone calls is defective - leaking. The company and Home Depot refuse to replace. They insist it must be repaired. This is a brand new washing machine! I was on the phone with an ‘executive customer device rep for quite a while and she could not help. I provided information including the serial and model number over a week ago. I heard back from her today saying she could not have a service authorized until she received the serial number which was not on the receipt even though this was supplied to her on the phone. Sloppy handling. Poor processes. Indifferent reps not empowered to do their job. Never will purchase an LG again!

I purchased my LG refrigerator in 2013, 4 1/2 years later the compressor goes out. With the 10 year warranty still on it, I contacted LG. Dealing with their customer service department was a nightmare. To begin with, they had no service technicians in my area, then they give me three authorized service companies to call, all were either wrong numbers or they dont work on LG appliances anymore. LG had service technicians but had none a available. So whats the purpose of a warranty if you cant honor it?As Im searching the internet to read complaints on LG, I came across a site indicating a class action lawsuit against LG for their faulty linear compressors posted last month, so I searched more and learned there was a previous lawsuit. LG is aware of their faulty compressors yet they have no desire to help consumers get repairs. What am I suppose to do other than join in on this new class action lawsuit, which could take years. I had to toss out over $300 worth of food, purchase a mini fridge and deal with ice chests. And still without a fridge. I cant afford to purchase another frig right now. I will NEVER purchase another LG anything, phone, TV, refrigerator, washer dryer nothing with a LG logo. Their warranty is a joke as well as their customer service.

Never buy this headache. As you will see from the previous reviews, the refrigerator stops cooling within 3 years and customer service is terrible. Its been a year, several service men come and it doesnt get fixed. Customer service is always reassuring you that they will escalate the issue but soon you are forgotten - no return call. During the winter the fridge started to do the opposite: freeze everything so we had to turn if off for periods. Now it makes a loud motor sound and, still, we have not heard back from customer service after two letters. I have been given the runaround so long that I am considering a filing a case. Dont be fooled by the concerned response this review will get, they will eventually ignore you. They deserve to be sued for their faulty product; their non-existent customer service and refusal to honor their warranties. Never, ever buy this fridge - what a lemon.

This machine is horrible and LG is not backing the quality of their product! There was a recall on this machine and it took three visits by the repairman to finally get my machine working properly and then it was only under warranty for 90 days, which is about how long it lasted before the unbalanced load started again. LG will not fix the same problem that was never fixed properly from the beginning. I am very disappointed and after doing online research it is evident that there is a problem with the machine that LG needs to take care of.

I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG PRODUCT AGAIN! Bought the best energy saver machine LG had on the market. Bought the dryer to match. Has been horrible from day one! Leaking big problem. Sensors costing between $82-$100 EACH to replace. AND there are 5 to 6 per problem. LG could care less. How do these people remain in business??? Well LG you have a lot on your plate right now and thousands of consumers without refrigerators due to your faulty compressor problems. Mine has been out since last Wednesday and LG cannot find anyone to service their product even their LG technicians aren’t available. Living out of 3 coolers and had to buy a box freezer. Now on my way to buy a used refrigerator because not knowing how long this issue is going to take! Was reassured that I would be reimbursed for buying the box freezer, food spoilage and old refrigerator. My case was sent to regional manager and being review while being told I’d be called back in 3 to 5 business days with a resolution to replace or give me my money back if I pass the review and if they cannot find anyone to come out and fix it. I don’t want to ever own another LG product let alone have them come out and replace the compressor with the same faulty issues to have it break down again in which it would. I also have a 1,000 dollar LG dishwasher and 6 months ago the top digital touch board went out! 1 year later! They replaced that and praying it doesn’t go out again. So now playing the waiting game. Don’t buy LG. Appliances will never be made the same way that they were years ago in the 70’s and 80’s to last a lifetime. I have reviewed just about every brand out there and all I find is garbage reviews!! What the hell can you buy that’s reliable anymore!

Bought a LG French door refrigerator April 2012. Within 8 months if you use the ice dispenser, it would not stop dispensing ice without jiggling the dispenser. Call LG, they sent someone who brought the wrong part because the person did not understand the problem that I told them about. The repair person said he had to order a new part and it would take a couple of weeks. About three weeks later, I receive a phone call from LG stating that instead of fixing the ice maker they were going to replace the whole refrigerator. That should have been the first sign of trouble. I said ok. They said I need to send them the serial name plate on the inside. I said ok but why. “Well we dont want the refrigerator back, but we dont want any serial numbers on this to void all warranty.” I guess this is because if I sell it I cant claim to have a warranty for it. That’s fine, Im getting a new refrigerator. Mistake number 1. They are going to call me with a date and time. Finally someone else calls to set up delivery and tells me the date and that this refrigerator is only going to have a warranty of 90 days and they are not going to set up the new refrigerator. Mistake number 2. I thought only a couple of months left on this refrigerator, get a new with a couple of extra months. I agreed with this and the people brought in anyways. Now with the new, 8 month later, I now have the error message 1f. I you are thinking about this refrigerator or LG products, stay away. Customer service is rude and thoughtless when it comes to your problem. They have a serious problem with this product and are not willing to fix it.

Model number LRE4213ST Household Electric Range. Most concerning is how ridiculously easy the knobs turn. Just walking by or leaning too close to the stove turns them on. We now have to fully remove the knobs whenever it is not in use because we have had several close calls. Aside from being unsafe this range heats unevenly, turns off at inopportune times and is very difficult to use.

I was disappointed to find my refrig was aluminum instead of the stated stainless steel. To check yours apply a magnetic to it. If it sticks, it is steel. If it doesnt, it is probably aluminum. It is so hard to keep clean and I can no longer keep my recipes or keepsakes or photos on it. Although the sides are not aluminum they are too closed in to use. As far as the workings go, it seems to be working fine. However it is only a few months old. I have only one complaint so far. It cost 50$ to replace the water filter every 6 mo. Whats with that? I never had to replace it on my old one and had no problems. Of course it wasnt an LG. Then I read that you have to have a LG repair man only to repair it. Not very customer friendly. I wish I had read the reviews before buying. Ill know better next time...

Front Loading LG Washer - I have noticed the white laundry coming out with gray blotches on it. I was so happy to get a new washer and dryer after about 10 years with my old set. I purchased the LG large capacity set. The washer was a front load. At first things went well, then little by little I began to notice our clothes came out smelling unclean. Regardless of the detergent, softener, etc, it made no difference. The energy saving, low level of water, simply means your clothes will slosh around in a small amount of dirty water, and then rinse with a small amount of water. There is nothing clean about that! When we sold our home I let the set go with the house, vowing to never purchase a front load HE washer again. The dryer was great.

I bought an LG Dishwasher in October of 2017. In March of 2019 (less than a year and a half later), the electrical control panel stopped working so I was unable to use the product. Since it was 5 months past the warranty, I was charged $135.31 for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. I was informed that I would then have to pay for the repair and labor after the technician ordered the new part. When the technician arrived, he had a new electronic control panel (so he already knew what the problem was before even looking at the dishwasher) and told me that I would not be charged for the repair or labor because this was such a common problem - that they had the NEW MODIFIED electrical control panels in stock. He said that in the NEW MODIFIED control panels, they have added a moisture barrier because in the old version, moisture from steam would get into the control panel and ruin the electrical system. I asked him why there hasnt been a recall on this product since it was so common, and he said that he didnt know why but there has been a Service Bulletin released regarding this same issue. I then called customer service to get a refund of the $135.31 that I already paid, and they would not give a refund even after being escalated to a supervisor. I asked to be escalated again and was informed that he could not do that. I tried to call the President of the company and got no answer and no way of leaving a VM or email. Considering this is a COMMON DEFECT in the product and a modified control panel has been created for this issue, there should be a recall and all expenses paid. I want my refund of $135.31 since this was LGs defective product and not anything that I could control! A complaint with the BBB has been filed and I will continue to let people know that they should stay away from LG products.

I called Sears for service because it was still under warranty, and that was where I bought it. They gave me an appointment eight days later. At that point, it was still working; I thought, “No big deal.” Then the refrigerator part quit being cold; so, I called back for a sooner appointment. Two days later, the repairman came, and said I needed a new electronic board. He said he would place the order, and the part would be dropped shipped to my home. When it arrives, Im supposed to call them. This is to schedule for them to put it in, and the first available date is in eight days! Who can go without a refrigerator for eight days? They said the warranty didnt cover the food loss. So, Im out a couple hundred dollars, and I am stuck with this lousy refrigerator that I cant stand.

My LG refrigerator is less than 4 years old. Over the last 4 months, ice has been forming on the walls of the freezer. In May, the freezer was making a humming noise. I have a maintenance agreement with an outside company for all my appliances and home. I called them. They said the main board is no good and I would have to pay the deductible for the part. I called LG and asked if they would cover the part. I was approved, but then they kept changing the rules. One rep said they would send it out to me. Then the next time I called, they said I would have to use their company for repair which would cost me $250. When I got the manager (who was so rude and could not care less), said she would send it directly to my maintenance company. Then the next time I called to see if the part was sent out, she said the maintenance company would have to call for the part. When I told her the company wont do that because LG wants them to insure the part, LG said there was nothing they can do. Their customer service is awful. How can the main board on the refrigerator go in less than 4 years? Their products are junk. I will now have to pay for the part I was approved for. What a horrible company. Never buy LG products!

Because of this issue, the machine tries to fix itself, which ends up using 2-3 times the amount of water just trying to get it balanced. So, when you buy this unit thinking you will save money of your water bill and that its energy efficient, think again. The 45-minute load ends up taking 2 hours and 3 times the water. Another issue I have had is the pulsator. It just pops off the bottom of the drum in the spin cycle. We have had to fix it multiple times and now is unfixable. We will either need to replace the whole inner part or buy a new washer. I have called LG multiple times with no help at all whatsoever. I wish I could go back to my old Kenmore washing machine that lasted 15 years with no problems at all.

We have had our LG refrigerator for only about six years. In the first 3 months, the refrigerator stopped cooling due to severe ice buildup on all the cooling vents. After several calls (and hours of being on hold) to their customer service department, they finally agreed to give us a replacement. The replacement only lasted another 4-5 months and the refrigerator stopped cooling with exactly the same issue (ice buildup). Again after several calls and hold, the customer service department arranged for a third party service guy to attempt a repair. The service guy could not fix the problem and also cracked a hole at the bottom when trying to scrub ice off the inside surface. He then stated that the fridge will need to be replaced. Nobody called us back for the next 3 weeks and then I had to call the customer service again and this time their rep was extremely rude. She actually hung-up the phone on me. I then wrote a review upon which the manager in Canadian operations contacted us and stepped-in to support. He then found out that the main electronic controller was a faulty design and that he would send an LG service personnel to replace the board. The icing problem was then resolved only to find out two and half years later that the compressor failed. I had to go over the same exercise to get a service personnel to come and replace the compressor. The part was free (10 years warranty on compressor) but I had to pay labour charges. Yesterday my refrigerator broke again and it is the same issue - compressor failure. I am debating with myself, to even attempt to get this fixed again (4 complete failures in 6 years). LG Refrigerator has been my worst investment ever. It was among the most expensive in its category, when I purchased it. I also heard that there is a class action law-suit against them in USA.

LG Washer WT5070CW - I have had this washer since 12/12/12. It is not worth the money. This is my third washing machine in my married life of 35+ years. I gave my son my last one when I bought this piece of junk. All the others lasted 10+ years. Always Unbalance Error. I babysit this machine constantly waiting for it to UE over and over again. The repair man for my appliances wont even look at a LG. Should have called him before my purchase. I called LG today and really received no solution other than emailing them all my information on the purchase. Considering buying another washer (NOT LG). Dont even want to give to anyone because it is junk. Will just have them haul it away.

We purchased the LG refrigerator in September of 2016. In July of 2018. The LG failed to cool intermittently. Over the course of a week, service was sent and could not find a problem. The issue appeared to resolve spontaneously. Exactly a year later we are having the same problem. We have completed the ridiculous instructions to unplug the power for 2 hours, then wait 24-48 hours to see if cools. We can expect service in 10 days. This is unacceptable, LG knows of the poor performance of this refrigerator and has failed to take appropriate action to resolve the problems in a timely manner.

This has been the worse purchase. I have had this washing machine for less than a year and every time I use the machine it pills my clothes (making it uncomfortable to wear), pulls at thread (ruined a brand new comforter), and makes holes. Called LG customer service and they sent someone out but they could not find a problem. However, the problem keeps occurring. I called LG back and they are refusing to send anyone and says the machine is fine. If it was fine I would not be losing money in ruined clothes. I will never buy an LG product again if this is how they treat their customers.

I purchased an LG refrigerator June of 2015. Upon receiving the fridge just a week later the freezer stopped working. Had it repaired and was under warranty. Now July of 2017 the compressor stopped working. TWO major components on a two year old refrigerator is ridiculous! The customer service at LG is unbelievable. And not in a good way. I called 5 times and got someone different each time. NO ONE CARES there. I was given the runaround for a month now. You wouldnt believe what I went through... I will NEVER buy another LG product, nor will I recommend to anyone. Beware...this company doesnt care! I am now buying a new fridge...after the one that I bought from LG is definitely a lemon. Trust me my new one wont be an LG! Their products are cheaply made and quality is poor. Do not buy! Customers dont matter!

I purchased an LG dryer in March 2015 due to the great ratings and owning a lot of LG products. Within a year I started having trouble with my dryer: no heat. I called several times and customer service said it wasnt their unit. They said it was my venting system or electrical. Had someone come out. Nothing wrong with electrical. Tore dryer apart. No lint nothing plugged from lint basket to outside vent. Finally after 5 months they honored their warranty. Took repair company 3 weeks to fix the dryer. Heater and sensor replaced. Not even 6 loads later same issue. So I called corporate office where I was told they were not going to fix my dryer nor were they replacing it. I am not a happy customer. Save your money and purchase a kenmore. I WILL NEVER own another LG product again. They cant stand behind their products. I gave them a 1 star rating because you cannot give them a -5 star rating.

We purchased our LG side-by-side refrigerator four years ago. From the start, we had problems with the ice maker auger freezing solid. We had the ice maker or some components of it replaced twice, under warranty, but not without several bumbled service visits - wrong parts, wrong initial diagnosis, etc. Now the freezer door seal has lost its suction. I see from todays research, this is not uncommon. We should have done more research, but we were desperate, since our old fridge had just died so we bought what was immediately available. Dont make the same mistake!

It does not get up to speed on the final spin. We did sprat diagnosis and all they said was that it does not get up to speed. The authorized technician verified that the machine was not out of balance, but could not find the problem. When he put so parts back together it worked, but he could not say why. I bought LG refrigerator from Costco back in Feb 24 2016. It was 30 cubic feet and I paid almost $2700. Nightmare started couple of weeks ago and it is ongoing. Refrigerator stop cooling, I called lg. They told me to reset and wait for 8 hrs which I did. Nothing happened, called again. They said it suppose to be 24 hrs wait, I waited 24 hrs. Nothing happened, called back again. They send the lg technician. He said faulty compressor in that kind of fridge with tons of other complains. He said they will take 6 weeks or more to repair due to so many complaints and back order on compressor. We have a tiny refrigerator right now we are using as a backup, but it can only hold milk and butter, I called costco, explained my situation to Isaac one of the manager in Victorville store near my house, and ask him to make a exception returning it due to such a long time for repair and upcoming holidays, he consulted his superior and they declined to return, but he said he contacted lg and told them about the time frame for repair, lg told him they will try to find a repair shop which can repair it sooner.Oh by the way the lg technician told me that lg used plastic ring instead of metal in compressor to save few bucks. That ring melts quickly. Thats why they are having so many complaints, according to that lg technician compressor supposed to last for 10 years. I am still waiting the response from costco and lg. My advice to consumers not buy large appliances from costco due to their scam. 100% satisfaction guarantee policy which only cover for 90 day. It is ridiculous, also lg technical support is very unsupportive and their refrigerators are faulty, unless you would like to have a nightmare like I am going through.

When I asked her to show me where this was in warranty she referred to a section regarding damage during delivery. I explained that it was fine when it was delivered and that the discoloration came over time. She kept referring to the same clause about delivery damage and then 30 minutes into the phone call said warranty doesn’t cover it because it must be a maintenance issue. She had not asked me one question regarding how I had cleaned or maintained the refrigerator. And refused to send a technician out to inspect it.

I thought I had done my research on what appeared to be a well-designed product. I have had my LG French Door Fridge 26 months, with no less than 14 repair issues, including the right-hand door gasket (four times), and the right-hand freezer door bracket (twice). We are a busy family with three teenage boys, but we keep a spotless kitchen and are not hard on our appliances. The fridge appeared well-designed and fit our tight kitchen, but it has been problematic from day one.The new models seem to address the issues I have had, but LG has passed the buck after year one to the extended warranty company. Warranty service through private contractors has been mainly poor. Response from Home Depot has been mediocre, until I asked for a truck to return the fridge, or said I would drop it in their parking lot myself. I looked at our old fridge to see what broke, and this one seemed to have been built much better, but what a mess. Buy from a private appliance dealer with a service team. This model was available at numerous locations, large and small. Any brand you buy will only be as good as those who back it.

My husband and I bought our LG refrigerator about 14 months ago. We were not offered an extended warranty and did not think to purchase one in the midst of the chaos of purchasing our first new home. Setting that aside, I recently contacted LG with a problem and they refused to help us saying I needed to pay a service company to come out for something I feel they should take responsibility for. The issue being that a screw had come loose behind the ice maker and completely unaware, had dropped into our ice causing it to go into my husbands smoothie. While in the NutriBullet I heard a noise, assuming it was the ice, like it always does, then when it continued I went to stop the machine, it was too late, because just then the screw burst out the side causing a terrible mess everywhere. Now I need to replace the cup and chopped up blade to our NutriBullet. LG wants to take no responsibility whatsoever. I personally feel they should at least send me a replacement screw and possibly help pay for the replacements. My opinion is this was a defect and should be covered, being it was barely out of the warranty period. I am just glad that no one swallowed that screw causing physical damage. My advice... Be sure to get an extended warranty, if its not offered, ask for one! Products just arent built like they used to be! (It was quite baffling trying to figure out where a white screw came from... Until I traced it back to the ice machine, and there it was, an empty hole behind the ice container.) Now to find a replacement screw for it, I cant afford to pay for a service call for a little screw. Amazing how something so tiny can make such a big mess! :/

My LG dryer is leaking gas from somewhere and I had the gas company come out to isolate that the issue isnt with the gas line or connection. He confirmed something is wrong with the dryer, marked it a fire hazard, and unplugged it. Furthermore, we had our dryer duct cleaned to remove the possibility that it was a blocked vent. The gas issue still exists. Was on the phone with LG for at least over an hour trying to come to some resolution. The hallmark response from them was unfortunately you are outside the 1 year warranty. The issue Im having has nothing to do with warranty and is a SAFETY and potential recall issue which they obviously didnt want to address, stating that enough people need to call in and report this issue before we issue a recall. What makes the issue so dangerous is that GAS is leaking somewhere and LG is unwilling to even send someone out as a courtesy to check. Whats worse is that there could be MANY customers out there with this problem who dont even know it or think its a big deal (we thought it was normal until we had the Gas company check it a few months later on my wifes intuition). If enough gas leaks and something ignites it, that could mean a blow-out of the dryer or worse yet potential injury via explosion or fire. Its obvious LG cares very little about the safety of their customers, especially when they keep implying these kinds of things are warranty related issues. This is major neglect IMHO. If there are ever any incidents in future related to LG and gas leaks, this shouldnt come as a surprise to anyone and it certainly wont for me. This is the last time Ill be getting a set of LG appliances... thats for sure. Ive only had this set for five years too.

After reading review after review on this site detailing the same issues I have had with my $3000 LG French door refrigerator, I will not waste time with detailing the issues I have had with this trash LG product. Same no-customer-service response from LG; the service company they gave us hasn’t worked for them for 2 years! We finally had to go directly to Home Depot to get a service repair person to come and look at our refrigerator. It has been two weeks without my refrigerator and hopefully it will get fixed today. But according to the other reviews that I read that may not be the last of my problems with this refrigerator. I am not hopeful. This is the second LG refrigerator that has had this problem; Home Depot, who has pretty decent Customer Service, replaced this same exact refrigerator one year ago. That refrigerator was only a year old when this exact same problems of the compressor going out occurred. The repairmen who are here today said they have been extremely busy lately repairing LG refrigerators with this problem! I am SO frustrated! I feel like someone has stolen thousands of dollars from me! DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS!!!

Thus, Ive had to go out and purchase a new refrigerator at my expense. Ive tried to go through the LG process whereby they would consider replacing or reimbursing my refrigerator. They have continued to deny my request, thus the reason Ive been forced to purchase a new refrigerator to replace my LG unit that was barely 4 years old. We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

Weve had it serviced 3 times in the last 6 mos. trying to replace things that were wrong from the motor to hoses to outlets and now find out theres lawsuits because of these issues. Because of cutting corners and faulty mechanisms I have to do more laundry, which causes more leaks, which causes more laundry, crazy cyclic cycle. When are we the consumers going to say ENOUGH and when is anyone going to have our backs to compensate and make this right for us? We bought a wonderful french door stainless LG frig with all the features we wanted. Twice we woke up and the fridge temperature was above 45F. We thought that we left a door open or the power had gone out. On the third time - with water everywhere in the kitchen and the interior temperature above 50F we called LG and asked for repair. It took most of the day to get through all of the automated phone questions, when we finally spoke to a person they said that they would arrange for a repair company to contact us. That took 3 days before we heard from a company (who gets 1 star reviews on yelp) and it took more than a week for them to schedule a repair person who confirmed what LG told them needed to be done. I will never buy LG again.I have now purchased a refrigerator and a stove within the last four years total. LG WT1101CW - Bought new just over 1 1/2 years. It worked fine for over a year and now it cannot complete a load without stopping because it is out of balance. Had a repairman check it out and he stated that LG said it needed the new update control board at a cost of over $500.00 before he could even diagnose problems. This is almost as much as a new machine. Obviously they are aware of a problem if the main control board is already being updated. The repairman said he could not guarantee that this would fix the problem. This machine is horrible. Contacted LG customer service and they could not diagnose using their phone diagnostic system. They stated they could give us a repair company name and stated the machine was out of warranty.

Bought a brand new stacking washer/ dryer set in March of 2018. Loved the features and functions, and it ran smooth and quiet. By January 2019, the door hinge had seized, and we noticed dried soapy residue under the left side of the machine. Had to argue with LG to replace hinge under warranty, and they tried to charge me to un-stack the unit. The tech said that we should be more careful loading soap into the tray, and that dripping soap gets on the hinges and eats the metal. Seems like a pretty big problem for a washing machine where the dispenser tray is right above the door hinge.By April, the latch had also failed, but was out of warranty. Fortunately I had purchased an extended warranty. They also tried to hit me for $150 to un-stack the unit. Now here we are in June 2019, with a seized hinge again! Door wont fully open or close, and now the door leaks when a cycle is run. However, the unit is also leaking from inside the soap apparatus somewhere inside the machine. The entire leg, face plate, and the inside of the machine is rusting below the soap tray. This probably caused the first hinge issue.Warranty company says it is a pre-existing condition and will not cover corrosion and rust related issues as that should be by the manufacturer. LG says its not their problem, and only offer a 90 day warranty on first hinge replacement, which is expired. I am now on the hook for the entire repair, which is yet to be determined (since I have to pay for someone to even come out and tell me what is wrong). Not even a year into it, and this thing is a piece of garbage. With the two units, tax, delivery, installation, extended warranty, new floor pan, etc., I spent $2000.00 on this set, and all of that is completely worthless when you have a problem with it.

I bought a new LG dryer, September 24, 2020, from my local best buy. I also purchased the 5 year extended warranty. Fast forward to beginning of march 2021: my new dryer stopped working, gave me an error code. Because it was just over 5 months after purchase, i had to file a claim with lg. So, i call the lg warranty phone number and was told that there werent any technicians in my area that could service my dryer and they would look at third party techs. 4 months pass and finally someone comes out in June, 2021. He states that LG dryers have ongoing issues with their thermal fuses. He didnt have the right part with him and said he had to order it and would call to set an appointment when the part came in. About a week had passed and I called the technician, I was told the part was on backorder but i had a date of repair, July 17 2021. Tech showed up for the appointment and He replaced the fuse and the dryer worked again. 13 days later on July 30 2021, my dryer stopped working again and I received the same error code.I called the warranty department back and was told that they would contact me in 10 business days, as they had to look for someone to service the dryer. 10 days passed and they never called, after about a month, i called them. I was told that they were having a hard time trying to find someone to come out to fix their appliance. I asked them if they could send the last tech back out. The rep agreed and stated I would be called back. No one called. So I called again, this time I was told that my dryer was a lemon and i needed to wait for a phone call from another department, and was guaranteed i would hear from someone in 3 days. Another weeks passed and I called again, now each time I call, I am given a ticket number, I was told this time that nothing could be done. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that there were none on staff, and then was told that they couldnt patch me through to someone else... After about and hour of this crap I was told the supervisor would call me back, again. No call ( surprise surprise). I keep trying to get through to someone at LG, still having no luck and its now passing the 1 year manufacturer warranty and my time is running out to have this thing fixed, again.Lg just kept giving me one shit poor excuse after another and finally i gave up when i wad told youre outside of the 12 month manufacturer warranty, theres nothing we can do, maam . So, I called Best Buy. I explained the situation and all the bs i was going through with LG and the rep told me that LG has been having a lot of issues and they would take care of me. That was September 2021. No one has come out. My dryer is still broken.I took it upon myself and contacted the original technician and asked if he could come back out to replace the fuse again. He was able to put a repair ticket in with LG because my appliance broke a few months before the 12 month warranty ended. He came out toward the end of October 2021. He checked the fuse, because the error code the dryer was showing indicated it was the fuse, again. It wasnt, the fuse was fine. Turns out, according to the tech, I need a new wire harness and maybe a new computer? He wasnt sure, so he was placing an order for both and would call with an appointment. Its now December and the technician hasnt been back, after multiple phone calls I was finally told that the parts needed were on backorder and he wasnt sure when they would be in.I called Best Buy again today and explained the situation, again, and was told when ordering parts the company has so much time to fill the order, after that date has passed we (Best Buy) consider the appliance a total loss and she was going to transfer us to another department to get it all sorted. New department said that the technician has to come out and put it in his/her notes that it can not be fixed or is not worth fixing. Then and only then can the dryer be considered a total loss, and then they will replace my dryer with a new one.. another LG. I explained, in the nicest way possible, I do not want another LG appliance. I bought this one brand new just over a year ago, Ive been able to use it maybe 6 months total. I have had nothing but issues with the dryer and the companys customer service. I have 4 children ( ages 15, 6,3 and 2),we need a working dryer. We need something reliable. I would much rather have them take this junk out of my house and refund my money. It has been called a lemon many times, not only by best buy reps but also 2 reps that work for LG. Its a massive inconvenience to have to bring laundry to a laundromat everyday to have it dried.. I get 27 minutes of drying time for $1.50. Because I am potty training 2 toddlers, have 2 in school and my partner is an ironworker, we do a lot of wash. I spend between $10 and $15 every 2 days at the laundromat and about $20-$30 a week in gas to go back and forth to the laundromat. Thats A LOT of money to be dishing out because LG doesnt stand by their products. Money that could have gone on a couple new appliances, bills etc. She, the CSR, said she was transferring me to the lemon claims department. The man I spoke to basically told me that unless i file a civil claim against the company and a technician says that I have a faulty dryer, the only thing they ( best buy) can do is replace my dryer with a used LG dryer of comparable value. Which this dryer now isnt worth a damn thing. I am so annoyed with LG. Im annoyed at the fact that i spent almost a grand on something that LG says would last 10-15 YEARS. it didnt even last 6 months! Now i have to waste more time on monday calling LG, best buy and the technician and ask them to email or snail mail me all the paperwork and notes for the last year, so i can bring it all to my attorney. I have had enough of that company and their appliances. I will never purchase another product with the LG logo.

My husband bought me a pair of LG appliances for Christmas of 2014. In March of 2015, we had an issue with the fridge. It took 2 weeks to resolve. In April of 2015, same issue....freezer frosting up, then stopped cooling. It was a compressor problem..shocking. June of 2019 freezer stopped working, next day fridge part quit. 2 days to get a tech (who was wonderful). Tried to say it is a sulfur problem in the water (our water is filtered), then the compressor and now its also the motherboard...all at one time. Trying to get a unit replacement because obviously, the refrigerator is a lemon. I uploaded all the receipts and supporting documents and now I have to wait until JULY 8th!!!! to get this fixed. I am under warranty for at least 6 more years. At this point Id like to be refunded for this obviously defective appliance.

Note that we have owned refrigerators for over 35 years, so are quite good
Note that we have owned refrigerators for over 35 years, so are quite good at evaluating them: we like the LG refrigerator overall, the interior layout and the 2 freezer drawers but, it has several annoying drawbacks/problems: (a) the flipper on the left-hand door, which flips to allow the door to properly close, has an extremely close tolerance, and we have already had a repairman come in to adjust it so the door would properly close (he told us its a common problem and showed me how to do it in the future). (b) The design of the ice dispenser is terrible, as it is nearly impossible to position a glass without some ice chips falling outside the glass, and, if you do not notice that someone has left the dispenser switch in the ice setting (a tiny light indicator) and you want a glass of cold water, the ice dispenser dumps out a load of ice before you can stop it, or vice versa, and if you have a visitor, make sure he/she doesnt go to get ice/water by himself; (c) the unit is noisy, as the case vibrates - if I press against the side the vibration stops, but starts again when I take my hand off; and (d) when it was delivered a small plastic part was missing on the flipper hinge, I asked Customer Service if they could just send me that little part, but no, they said they had to send a repairman, which required 2 visits as he could only replace the entire flipper assembly. We would show a friend these conditions before buying an LG.

The refrigerator was ordered at Home Depot. I was contacted by LG directly that the product was on backorder and that they would not meet the delivery time frame. Two weeks later they called again to state that the specific refrigerator that I ordered was not available and discontinued. The offered a different refrigerator that did not meet the size specifications that were most important to me. When I stated the three specs that were mandatory to me - they basically said - This is what we can offer and thats it. They did not offer any other options. POOR customer service and even though they upgraded with one option that I did NOT want (wi-fi) the size is smaller, the product is disappointing. The refrigerator will either freeze produce or it turns to rubber. It does not maintain the quality of refrigerated products. I will not order another LG product as a result. The filter also only lasts 4 months - before having to be replaced. Freezer items get frostburn and ruins the quality of the product.

We purchased the LG washing machine and dryer from Spencers. I am dissatisfied with our salesman in that he should have made us aware that this washer is a large capacity machine with no capability to wash smaller loads. They want you to buy another machine to sit underneath the main washer. The dryer is a mess. I spent $1,000 for a dryer that doesnt sense the dryness of sheets!!! It shuts off early leaving the corners of the sheets wet. I called the technician who said thats the way it is and I should use the manual dry time and estimate how long it needs to dry completely... Really... Really... thats the way dryers operated in 1958! Dont waste your money on this piece of junk.

Bought an LG French door model LFX25973ST/00 refrigerator from Sears. Right after its out of warranty we were getting water on the floor from the left-side door each time we opened the door. I replaced the door ice-maker parts (all of them) and the gaskets. I also balanced the doors again (only slightly out of balance). More water. Called LG and they told me to replace the gaskets and balance the door. Um, that didnt work. Try calling a repair service. I called a few appliance repair places and only one still works on LG products. He stated that LG sucks. He recommended replacing the gaskets which I already did. He said, you just have to live with it or get a new refrigerator. LG = Life is Good?? More like LG = Lame Grifters. Well, Im trying gaskets one more time before I take this out and use it for target practice.

Purchased LG model LFXC24726S counter depth refrigerator in late Sept 2016. All was good until April of 2017. The ice maker started leaking and would freeze so that the ice bin could not be removed. The water would leak out onto the front of the refrigerator causing the panel to be discolored and the bottom drawer on outside to be constantly water spotted. We had a repair man from Famous Tate replace ice maker. Same thing happened. He said the whole door had to be replaced. He ordered the door in early May. It is now August 26 and still no word from them. We also contacted LG and they promised to have someone get back to us in a few days. That was 10 days ago. We plan to go to Famous Tate today and try to get something done about this issue.

Our fridge broke after 5 months. We had the repairman at our house 4 times over 6 weeks and fridge still was not fixed. Called LG customer service many times and explained that our fridge has not worked for 6 weeks and we have 2 toddlers and no one was able to help me. Many different customer service reps told me they would put it my request for a new fridge but it would be denied and they were unable to help me. After asking for a manager, I was put on hold for 45 min and then disconnected, this happened 3 times and no one called me back. We were also promised the max amount for food spoilage and after finally agreeing to give us money back for our fridge, LG told us we no longer qualified for the food reimbursement so we lost hundreds of dollars worth of food (over the course of fridge braking 4 times). This was the worst customer service I ever experienced in my life and for that reason, we will never buy an LG appliance again!

I wished that I could have read this blog before I purchased my LG refrigerator. I purchased my refrigerator 4 years ago and have had the fuse blown twice, ruining all the contents of my refrigerator. The servicemans fix was using a paperclip to bypass the fuse and order me a new board, which would cost $400 (if I didnt have warranty). He explained that on this refrigerator, the fuse was located on the main circuit board and when the little fuse blows, you have to replace the whole board, which costs around $400.00, and it takes awhile to obtain. Two years almost to that day, my refrigerator went out again due to the same issue. I had extended warranty through Home Depot. It took a week to get a serviceman to my home, to hear that the main fix is to by-pass the fuse with a paperclip or some wire. I was told that LG is aware of the poor design and hasnt made any changes to keep this problem from occurring again. I lost another refrigerator full of food and some expensive medications to hear the paper clip is the answer again! I told the service repair that I wanted a new board ordered and placed on the back of this expensive refrigerator to hear him say that it is a temporary fix. LG has an issue with their product, people have contacted them, and they seem not to care. I contacted via Live Chat to hear, I am sorry for your inconvenience and had enough of that pre-typed message and asked for a supervisor. The supervisor said that there was nothing they could do but would pass my complaint on to a claims review dept. and that they may or may not contact me to help resolve the issue. I asked for a phone number to contact LG and was told by John (the supervisor) that he did not have a number for me to talk with someone about my issue. This was all that I needed to hear from someone online. It seems that LG hides behind their Live Chat personnel and are not interested in addressing their issues. Home Depot should be embarrassed to carry their products. We teach our children to make their wrongs right. I guess LG missed out on that lesson!

I have had to replace the motherboard on my dishwasher. The handle on the microwave broke off and now my French door refrigerator went out. Could be the fuse, which was replaced, or the condenser which means I have to buy a new refrigerator. I have tried contacting both Home Depot and the manufacturer directly with no success. This dishwasher takes 2 hours to run a cycle! With a 2 hour cycle, you would expect spotless dishes. What a joke. I never have dishes that come clean in this dishwasher. The spaces between the tines are poorly spaced so that I am forced to use every other space or the dishes rest against one another. It holds about 1/2 the dishes that my old Kenmore held and doesnt get the dishes clean at all. This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. I have tried everything to get it to clean better. I run dishwasher cleaner through it all the time. I turned my hot water heater up to scalding to try to improve its performance. We purchased a Kenmore Model 79551833412 side by side refrigerator that was manufactured for Sears by LG. This units compressor failed after 17 months. I came to learn there was a class action lawsuit filed against LG for this same issue which unfortunately was dismissed. Because my mother in law is 88 years old and the estimated cost of repair was nearly the cost of a new refrigerator we chose to purchase her a new refrigerator rather than wait for it to be repaired. Sears says their warranty is only one year but the Sears rep said that the manufacturer provides a longer warranty on the compressor but labor would not be included. When you adjust the clothes and restart it will get off balance again. It has taken me a full day to wash one load of clothes. Today it took three hours to do one load. If you have a small load (a couple of towels) it takes six or seven tries to get the load done. I dont think it is possible to keep this machine balanced. I bought my refrigerator in December of 2006. In Feb. of 2008, the light stayed on all night and warped the liner. There were burn marks under light cover which looked like it was melted. Thank God that my repairman, the Appliance Man, is smart and honest. He told me that LG was having a big problem with that refrigerator and that it was a design flaw - A defect in (on) the board and a known defect. He also told me to tell LG that it was unrepairable. Amanda ** from LG agreed to replace it.When they delivered the new one I was told that the new one would not be under warranty -??? It hasnt been a problem since although little teeny nailhead size dents appear out of nowhere. The drawers are cheaply made and all have one problem or another. LG LD1452WFEN3 - Purchased February 2015, its May now. Had approx. 4 call outs, dishes never clean, mostly never dry. Initially came up with the OE symbol. Unit was apparently not draining due to installation, unit removed, rebuilt. Technician excellent but the dishwasher is very very unreliable, simple product like kids yogurt doesnt wash out of plastic cups. I paid $798 plus $30 to have it installed. Waiting now on feedback and responses from LG and store I purchased from. I will not buy new or LG again. I have not had 1 successful full clean from it. Thanks.

If I can reach out to one person to keep them from making the same mistake
If I can reach out to one person to keep them from making the same mistake and buying a $5000.00 kitchen full of LG paperweights. The fridge has gone out twice. The icemaker leaks, the freezer frosts up, handle broken, and freezer door off track.. The split oven doesnt keep temp. Will burn everything if you dont watch it. The dishwasher and microwave is ok so far. If you have a LG linear compressor fridge do not stock it. Never know when it will quit. So disappointing after saving for so long to afford a new kitchen and end up with scrap metal.
