We bought a refrigerator on May 19, 2012 for $2750. In July of 2014 the compressor broke. They replaced the part but made us pay for the labor. 2 months later our refrigerator compressor broke again. We have now been 2 weeks without a unit and they are refusing to replace the product. The new compressor is on back order and they are having us wait for the part.We have 8 children, have had our freezer food ruined twice by the unit going out, and LG simply does not care. They will not return email responses and just say sorry for not getting back with you, sorry your food got ruined, sorry your compressor broke and you now have to pay another labor charge for replacing it again. They do not help. DO NOT EVER BUY an LG product. If it breaks, you are going to get the runaround until you are completely defeated and eventually just buy another brand.

2 yr old LG French door LMX31985ST/0. Repaired at 16 months (defrost grill in freezer) $300. Repaired at 28 months 4x still not working (1/4/16 to today 2/12/16) error code F ds. LGs response to us was reset the fridge using the breaker from the electrical service box). We did and have had to do for 6 weeks. Repair company replaced at our expense: freezer defrost sensor $175 parts/labor. Main board parts and labor $175. Sensor for fridge $300 parts and labor. So after paying $950 in repairs over the course of 1 year and 1 month the fridge today was dripping water on the floor from the ice maker which we find is NOT WORKING now. No error code even on the fridge!! The fridge is not cooling, the ice maker is not working, and the freezer has thawed everything overnight (so the defrost is stuck on??) So 4 repairs and it is still not working, in fact it is ON but NOT WORKING! LG will do NOTHING like this has never happened before??? So after spending $950 for repairs and $3300 for the fridge in (Oct 2013) we have a piece of junk!

I bought a top loading LG washer and dryer in May 2013 washing machine mode
I bought a top loading LG washer and dryer in May 2013 washing machine model WT1101CW. In September of 2014 the washing machine wouldnt drain the water halfway through a cycle. Called LG and was told that it was out our warranty and there was nothing they could do. I said it was 3 months out of warranty and told the lady overseas to give me a supervisor. The supervisor extended my warranty after scanning my receipts to him, now this is where the problems start. The part ordered was the drain motor, it took 2 weeks to get after calling trying to get information about the part. The part came in, the service company installed it and it did not fix the problem so a drain pump was ordered. The drain pump took another 2 weeks to get in and was installed and it still did not fix the problem. The service company has now ordered a control panel and has requested that LG overnight the part but they will not do that. I called LG customer service again, talked to another lady from overseas and was told they do not overnight parts. I asked to speak to a supervisor and told her I had been without a washing machine for going on 6 weeks now and needed this part overnighted. She stated that they do. It overnight parts and it would be 3 to 5 business days which means another 1 to 2 weeks to get the part and have it installed. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told they are all supervisors in that department and her direct superior does not take phone calls. I do not believe that the control panel will fix the problem and that the washer is completely fried. I am still waiting for the outcome of my washing machine debacle but have no hope that it will be fixed and work properly. The customer service given by LG is the worst that I have ever dealt with and will NEVER buy another LG product and will share my story with anyone who will listen.

LG has one of the best refrigerators that I have ever used and was easy to maintain and clean which is an underrated feature. It was recommended and the sale made it unbeatable. It did everything I needed it to for the price. It was a good reliable refrigerator for the apartment that it was in. Well kept and easy to store and organize food and beverages. The shelving was well done and easy to use, allowed for no clutter while storing a vast amount of food and drinks. The features I liked the most are simply how it was laid out on the inside, perfect amount of shelving and organization abilities. It had quite the capabilities and was just as good as all of the LG products that I had previously used or owned so no disappointment.

I purchased a £1000.00 fridge freezer and have it warranted for 5 years, 2 with LG and 3 years with Curry’s. Fridge and freezer not working after 1 year 9 month. Took 8 days to come out and told me compressor was broke, so new one would take 8 day. After having to take a second day off work nobody turned up or called up to fit the new compressor. Phoned engineer who said I should have been called as compressor was broke so would need to order another. Gave me appointment for further 6 days to wait and I couldn’t get shift off so changed it to the Fri instead of the Wed. Appointment booked in.Few days after engineer should have visited a unnecessary part arrived at our home which would not fix freezer as engineer stated it was a compressor needed. Phone company LG use to fix freezer to find out why this part had arrived. Mentioned my appointment on the fri due and was told there was no such appointment. Even if they come out on fri I have had no fridge or freezer for exactly a month. Terrible customer service and will never buy another LG product ever again.

Dryer is fine. Washer is horrible. Clothes dont get clean. They are so tangled at the end of the cycle you have to unweave them from each other. Maybe clothes need a shortened drying time but clothes are so wrinkled before they hit the dryer, its not worth it. Find a washer that still has an agitator!

I purchased my LG dryer in September 2014 and here we are in December 2017 and guess what... Not drying my clothes because there is no heat!!! I also purchased an extended warranty from HHGregg when I purchased this dryer (and LG washer) and guess what... HHGregg is no longer in business. Do not buy LG products, they stink and for that matter, so does Frigidaire, because I purchased a new refrigerator from them 7 years ago and within the first year I had 3 service calls because the ice maker was not working properly... And to this day, still does not. Unbelievable.

We purchased this product (LMXS30776S) two years ago! The first one came out of the box defective! The second one has NEVER worked right either. The refrigerator section does not cool properly. Temp stays at 55 degrees. Called service center and was told the door was open. Not! The freezer section stopped cooling and we lost several hundred dollars in food. Again called service center and was told to open and close the door three times! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A MAJOR APPLIANCE from this company again. I could write more but as you can tell their service and products leave much to be desired!

I purchased an LG Refrigerator LFX25961AL back in August of 2010. The refrigerator just stopped working on October 26th, 2013. The light remained on inside of the refrigerator and it failed to cool the food inside. I also noticed that the refrigerator was running much louder than usual. The ice inside of the ice maker began to melt and later that evening, the refrigerator had completely stopped working. All the items that I had inside the refrigerator and freezer have spoiled. I called the company concerning the warranty that I purchased along with the refrigerator and they told me that they could come out on Tuesday with no guarantee of the repairs being covered under the warranty. I have a refrigerator full of spoiled food and I am quite upset. Ive only had the product for three years. When you pay thousands of dollars for a product is this acceptable? I understand that things happen but this product should be fine for at least five years. I find this unacceptable. I began to search the internet for answers and I see that many of the customers who bought this product are having the same problem. I wish I could return this faulty product. I will never purchase anything from LG again. Buyers Beware.

I replaced a whirlpool microwave with the LG. Had to have repairs after the warranty ran out. The whirlpool was 14 years old and never had a problem. Only thing good about LG service is that the quoted price was what I paid even though they replaced 3 major components. Oh, if you havent had stainless steel appliances, they show every little fingerprint and spatter. If I had known this I would have stayed with painted surfaces.

The most awesome refrigerator ever. I like the side by design. The look is very clean and attractive. It is great to have ice and not need to fill an ice tray. The slim style holds a lot of food like to get water from the door. This makes me thing to drink more water every time I pass by. The last several refrigerators ended with a wet mess on the food or frozen drinks. This fridge has done none of that. I like the organization of the food. There is ample room for all the items include milk in the door. We purchased the fridge because of the inner volume.

Our family purchased a LG refrigerator four years ago. The refrigerator retailed for two thousand dollars. We started to have problems with the unit after two years with ice build-up on the back. After contacting LG they told us to defrost the fridge. We did that every four months as needed. Now after just four years we woke up to the refrigerator at forty degrees and everything melted in the freezer and now all the food has gone bad. The last refrigerator we owned lasted fourteen years when we gave it to our son still working. Today we spent literally five hours on the phone with service and tech dept. until I wanted to cry in frustration. I never have been through anything like this in the sixty years I have been buying appliances. I cant believe I chose this experience when shopping for a home appliance. But still do not think this is right in any way.

WM2050CW - We purchased this machine in 2010 and it seemed the answer to all our prayers. It worked great, cleaned well and the clothes were almost dry when they were done - very little time in the dryer to get them done. The machine wasnt cheap but it would save energy and use less water and of course cut down on dryer time. Then this year problems arose and it was out of warranty. No problem, I thought, just call a repairman and all will be good. WRONG. Found out most will not work on the Korean made LGs. The parts are hard to get and expensive and the service from LG itself is horrible. This coming from the tech that we finally found to come out and work on it. Great we thought, get it fixed and back to washing. WRONG again. Pump was shot and the supports on the center drum were beginning to go. Okay how much to fix? We asked. $400 for the pump which could take up to two weeks to even get and up to a $1000 to replace the supports. OUCH!!!! Needless to say repairs were not done. Called several repair businesses to get a recommendation for a replacement. All came up with the same answer...... DONT buy another front loader. Reason: not built to last, parts are expensive, and some brands like LG nobody will work on. So we went back to the good old top loader and it is a Speed Queen and it has a 3 year warranty and according to all the repair people we talked to it is one of the most dependable out there. The best part it is made here in the good ole USA..... If you think front loaders are great look them up on youtube and see what happens when the supports go............ SCARY.

My LG french door Refrigerator & Freezer stopped cooling after 7 years of no issues. Called LG repair department on (4/14) and they scheduled me with an LG certified technician. The Tech (Hector) arrived at my house on time on (04/17), and fixed my fridge very professionally. The complete cost of repair was reasonable since I was not charged with a new compressor (old one was under 10 years warranty). Currently, (04/26), my fridge is working with no issues. I hesitated at first to pay the upfront charge but it ended up being well worth it so far. I'm crossing my fingers. :-)

Our dryer failed during a run, and would not power back on. I checked the circuit breaker and the plug, and unable to restart the unit, I placed a service request with LG. Over the past month I have experienced nothing but frustration and disappointment from LG customer service. I have been given inaccurate information, been repeatedly told to expect a call back or email about service status, but the only communication I have had with LG is when I have initiated contact. Please note that because I have two children, one of whom is still out of school because of the pandemic, the only times I can call when the 800 number is operating is on W and F when I am commuting to/from onsite days at my job. Below is a detailed timeline of my experience:Th 4/15. Dryer breaks during run. Test fuse, power line, reset per manufacturer’s instructions. Fr 4/16. Submit ticket through LG website describing problem. Sa 4/17. Receive email response from website instructing me to do the troubleshooting I had already completed prior to submitting ticket to website. Call LG 800 number to request repair. Told that I would hear back within 24-48h about getting an LG service technician. Tu 4/20. Call LG because I received no call back. Am informed that they could not find a local technician, and my request was being escalated to the regional services team. Fr 4/23. Call LG for a status update. Rep informs me that they have 5 business days to find local authorized technician, but that if they cannot within 5 days, I can get a replacement authorization. W 4/28. Call LG again, to request replacement authorization. Am told I need to wait an additional 48h for update.F 4/30. Call for status update. Rep tells me that information I received on 4/23 about replacement is incorrect, and that regional services is still looking for repair. Request transfer to executive services. Call gets cutoff partway through. Attempt to call back, but service line is closed for the day. Particularly disappointed that the executive services person I was speaking with did not call me back, because the first thing he asked for was my phone number, in case we got disconnected.W 5/5. Call LG; request immediate transfer to executive services. Rep curtly informs me that they have hundreds of thousands of technicians, just none in our area. Furthermore, that LG has 30 days from my initial call to locate repair services, so I am not yet entitled to a replacement dryer. However, she does provide me with contact info for an authorized service provider in American Canyon. I contact said service provider, Linet Electronics. Technician at Linet tells me that yes, they do service our model of dryer, and they do service our town (35 miles away), and yes he does have availability. He advises against booking him directly for warranty repairs, because then I will need to work request reimbursement from LG for the repair.W 5/12. Call LG; request they contract with Linet Electronics to service our dryer. I provide phone number, but the rep insists that I need to provide email and postal address, too. They should have this information, since I got the phone number from their authorized service system, which is infuriating. I call back once I have the email and post address. The new rep calls Linet, but Linet wants an extra $225 to do the service call, and so LG will not authorize service (this strikes me as absurd, since replacing the unit outright, or providing me a refund, will undoubtedly cost more than the service call with a surcharge). I am told that regional service has 2 chances to find someone in our area before we qualify for replacement, but apparently hasn’t done anything since my first escalation on 4/20 (15 business days ago). Rep promises that I will get a call back within 24-48h about warranty replacement. I tell him I am highly doubtful about that, since I have not received any updates, by phone or email, at any point so far. That my only contact with LG has been contact that I initiated. Th 5/13. Much to my surprise, Jacob, the rep I spoke with on 5/12, calls me back to let me know there has been no action on my replacement request yet. He promises to call me back in 24h. F 5/14. No call back from Jacob. Monday will be 30 days since my dryer broke. I will call LG and demand they send a replacement dryer, though I am not confident they will honor their warranty obligations at this point.

I bought an LG washing machine model WFT6500 at Courts (Mauritius) Ltd. in November 2009. Serial No. is 908.JWWZ00529. Never once washed clean and so wearily I almost never made use of it during the warranty period, thinking that it must be a machine with very low power and it is normal to wash dirty. However, after the warranty period, I contacted the seller who wanted to send someone to check but for a fee. I refused because they did not think it was a technical problem. And so I blamed myself and nursed my woes stupidly until last month when I realized that the problem comes from the rinse cycle which is not functioning properly. It only spins the clothes but does not throw the water away nor does it do another rinse. The rinse cycle lasts only a few minutes with no additional water coming in or going out until the spin cycle that finally for the first time during the wash and rinse cycle drains the water away, leaving residues of dust in the clothes.I contacted the dealer once more, insisted that it is a defect that has been there since the first wash but they want to repair for a fee. I find this unfair because the machine has never been up to expectations and in spite of being in my possession for four years, I must have used it a dozen times only and not at all for two years at a stretch during that period because of being away from home. I guess it could be a defective machine that has been sold to our Mauritian distributor with or without their knowledge.

I actually LOVE my LG Tromm Washer and Dryer and have had very good luck with the company. Im responding because Ive seen numerous complaints about clothes and towels smelly moldy. I too had this problem with bath towels. Its not the fault of the washer, but rather it is using too much detergent and/or not using HE detergent.Heres what you need to do to get rid of the smell, but it will require two cycles: 1) Wash items with 1 cup of vinegar and no detergent. Add vinegar directly to load not the dispenser; and 2) Wash items again using 1 cup of baking soda and no detergent adding it to the load not dispenser. Wash items on the hottest setting possible. The moldy smell should be gone. From here on out ensure that youre using HE detergent and use the absolute bare minimum as HE detergent is highly concentrated. Any residue left on clothing or towels will act as a binding agent, hence the moldy smells. Good luck!

Bad product. They try to keep repairing to our detriment. 5th issue with fridge in 5 months all recorded thrugh LG Service. Started May 2019, not cooling. Called LG. Arranged repair (took 4 weeks, try keeping family of 6 with no fridge for a month!). Replace coolant, tested. 3 days later - same issue. Call LG. Arrange for repair (another 3-4 weeks). Apparently wanted leak tested properly and lost coolant. They needed to order repair part to rebuild the coolant system in my kitchen (another 4-6 weeks for parts). Repaired. Next day display on front showed error, turned out repairman forgot to plug a cable in. Few months later, not cooling....want to send another repair (different company than first 4 times!!). Matthew in Executive Service (very poorly trained at customer service)! I just want to get rid of this headache and am being told I need a receipt (from 5 years ago??) to initiate the refund. Please help!

I purchased our LG smart washer dryer combo from Home Depot 14 months ago. For the first year it worked like a charm. Once it was paid off, the nightmare began. I have called the horrible customer service in the Philippines only to hear a repeated script. I have had my home warranty company come out twice. The only way for me to wash our clothes is to confuse our washer into thinking that the load is large. I put in 2 buckets of water on top of towels. I have ruined so many of my clothes in the twisted rope like fashion that I could cry. It takes me 1.5 hours to wash 2 pairs of jeans and a few shirts. The dryer is also Lousy Garbage. It over dries and shrinks our clothes, those that make it out alive from the washer never dry at all and are very wrinkled. And then there is the smell... The technicians say this is how they are suppose to work. There is no energy saving in taking all day to do a household of threes laundry. There is nothing smart about these machines... Be smart stay away...

It was a very simple fridge without a water spout or anything like that. I liked that it has a lot of fridge space, there were many shelves and even door space. The light was nice and bridge and high enough that the food didnt cover it or a tall drink didnt get in the way of the light. It had adjustable temperature settings that didnt freeze the stuff in the fridge or leave the stuff in the freezer half frozen. I disliked the amount of freezer space, it left a lot to be desired, it was two shelves that were like baskets and slid out if something fell behind the basket. It was very hard to get and extremely hard to clean out. The basket design was a big flop. Yes I can complain about the fridge section whatsoever and that was my main concern since most people generally use the fridge portion of their refrigeration unit the most and the freezer is generally built much smaller for lesser needs. Most people I know eat fresh food more often than frozen food.

Refrigerator started making horrible noise on July 3, 2016. Model LMX25964 purchased Nov. 22, 2010. Woke up July 4 no ice and all freezer contents thawing out. Could not call for any help until Tuesday July 5, technician came out on July 7 to tell me my French doors refrigerator had a seal system problem was under warranty and he was not an LG-certified technician. By the way while checking out the refrigerator he did tell me the LG is one of the worst refrigerators, all plastic and lots of mechanical problems, that is why he would not become an authorized LG technician.Called LG, got someone I could not even understand, finally got a certified technician phone number called and he comes tomorrow, he will probably need to order parts so thats more to time. Customer service stinks as well as the refrigerator. I will never ever buy an LG item again. I did lose all my food, around 250.00 and the company acted like I was out of my mind for asking. The supervisor said our warranty ran out after 12 months. I advised her that the problem that caused my problem was under warranty and she flat out said, We do not reimburse. I hate them.

14-month-old drain hose ruptured, service call repair at my costs. A year later drain pump burned out and ruined many clothes as they mildewed and that smell does not come out. Now another year later, washer just continues to fill with water, tried to turn power off with power button but power would just keep turning itself back on, even with power secured water kept coming. Washer not worth the money or cost of repairs with continual breakdowns. You are welcome to contact me. Thank you.

I bought an LG front load washer and dryer set in 2009, its now 2 years later and guess what? My washing machine is very load during the spin cycle and it wont even spin unless its a small load. It shakes like crazy! It also constantly smells like mold. It does not spin all the water out. This has slowly gotten worse since the day it was new. Never stays level! Now for the dryer. It constantly has to be cleaned out because it gets plugged with lint. Also, it makes a loud thumping noise. I bought the set from home depot. They wont help. Ive complained to LG who either gives you the runaround or hangs up. For the 2000 dollars, I spent on the pair, what a crap! For the way they looked and were sold to me they should work great. I think these were designed and assembled by child labor. Can you please help me?

I purchased a new LG top load washer from Home Depot 2 years ago and it has been a nightmare ever since. It cost $899 and I thought it was going to last at least 10 years, my other machine lasted 20 years. The unbalanced code happens on every wash, even with a few pieces of clothes in the machine, each load takes over 1 hour, even the quick load cycle of 35 mins, what is wrong with that picture??? LG service is of no assistance at all and does not know as much as the average consumer!!!Repairman says and I quote: give the machine to me and I can dispose of it for you, WHAT??? I promise one thing I will never, ever purchase any product from LG in my life. I now have to junk a 2 year old LG machine and get a $300 machine. So thanks to LG: add 899+300=$1199, for ONE washing machine that works! I feel so bad for all of us owning THESE PRODUCTS. Someone should be contacting us ASAP to take these LG machines back and give us a FULL REFUND to get a washing machine of our choice, THAT WORKS!

We have called for service to show up. They showed up twice for the same problem. Humming really loud (especially when compressor comes on). Came in once and tightened screws. Made it worse. Came in a second time and Placed rubber in refrigerator to stop it from humming so loud. Still did not repair it. Now when we call we can never get anyone to answer. Tried every day from 6/23/20 - 7/6/20. All day hold on line, never an answer. Wife and I would call at the same time just to see if we could get anyone to answer. Our warranty ran out today! It has been a year. Worst refrigerator we have ever bought as far as getting repairs done. UPDATE - Called on 7/7/20 - 8:00 AM. Tells us that our case is closed and referred us to a appliance repair dealer. So upset.

Two years ago I purchased all new LG appliances for my kitchen. The microwave and oven work properly. However the dishwasher and refrigerator are pieces of junk. I upgraded my dishwasher to the Inverter Direct Drive. After trying different loading methods and different brands of D/W soap, the only way my dishes get truly cleaned, is if I use the power scrub setting. This setting runs for 2:45!!!My refrigerator LG model LFX31925ST/02 is even worse!! Every so often it makes loud vibrating sounds (which I have recorded), some banging which results in a chunk of ice that falls out of the bottom. The freezer is on the bottom and has 3 drawers. The top drawer does not maintain freezing temperatures, resulting in defrosted food that has to be thrown out. When I contacted LG Repair service (I paid for extra warranty) I was told that I am not covered for a repair visit, unless the refrigerator acts up in their presence. I advised them that I have photos and videos to prove its poor performance, however that is not sufficient! I called the retail store where I purchased it. After several calls, the store manager called me and apologized because LG would not even cooperate with him!

We purchased an entire kitchen of LG appliances in July 2010. Double oven, dishwasher, cooktop and fridge all have needed repairs within the first year. The LF25976 fridge has multiple issues, but the most pervasive is the ice maker not working. I usually research major purchases thoroughly, but I let my wife choose. These are the most unreliable appliances on the market. I will never by LG again. I have made a point to inform as many of our relatives and friends of our experience as possible.

In life, you have large purchases that are life events: new home, car, and appliances. From day one back in 2008, from when we purchased our LG fridge (LFX2590TT), we have had nothing but problems.Water leaked and cracked the line on the back of the fridge (caused damage to wood floors). The deli drawer slide cracked and broke off. Water leak was repeated; the service repairman fixed the line and then the line cracked above the repair. The ice-maker freezes up and we had to turn it off to thaw. Water leaked again; the service repairman fixed the line and then the line cracked above the repair (third time). The replacement slide was broken (again). We do not over-load this drawer. Its all plastic crap and has a very poor design. The water line leaks inside the fridge. We gave up and turned off the water dispenser/ice-maker. Then the top of the vegetable/fruit drawers cracked.LG made it on my speed dial. After too numerous to count service calls and being long out of warranty, we have given up. When you buy a $2,400 refrigerator, you think it would work (completely) longer than 2 months. I will never purchase any LG products and I advise others to do the same. They make garbage and when it comes down to it, they just dont stand behind their products. In reading all of these reviews, you would think there would have been a recall, but theres none. Dont buy LG.

We purchased an lxsc22396s refrigerator and it stopped working within 90 days. We purchased this refrigerator on 05/24/18 (paid over $2000 for it) and on 07/23/18, it stopped dispensing water, the ice melted, it stopped cooling, and cost us over $250 of spoiled groceries. We contacted LG and they sent out a technician who perform a reset and stated that it will start working in about a week. We contacted LG again to request a loner fridge until ours starts working again. Jovy from LG told us that they cant do anything about it and we just have to wait until they fix it. Very poor customer service from LG. We also submitted a request for a refund for $250 of spoiled food. They told us that all managers were busy and would call us back later in the day. They never called us back. We havent had this refrigerator 90 days and its already giving us problems and costing us money.

What a horrible product! The oven is completely uneven, the warming drawer doesnt warm and worst of all, the core inside the knobs keep breaking. They are made of a very poor plastic and now I find out they are 69.00 US a pop!! (I am Canadian so right now 100.00 x 5 knobs.) Cheaper to buy a new stove!!! I have asked just for the cores, but of course, they only sell the knob and thus I throw more LG crap into landfill. I have tried to talk to management but all I get is the poor woman who answers the phone to read to me their no response! I will never buy LG again! We bought our LG refrigerator 3 years ago and were so excited to make such a big purchase. We shopped around and loved the features of the one we picked. After just 2 years, we had the compressor go out on it. We were frustrated but weren’t too upset because things break and we had a warranty. Fast forward to less than a year later and we have been forced to function out of ice chests in our living room because the compressor went out again. After doing more research I found that this is an issue many others are having. I am beyond upset. I have lost around $500 in food over the 2 incidents and already spent around $100 in ice to keep what food we have cold. This is absolutely unacceptable when you pay over $2500 for an appliance. My husband’s friend has the same fridge for less time than us and already had to replace his compressor. I will never own another LG appliance again knowing that they are fully aware of these compressor issues yet still produce and sell these appliances.

We bought a very expensive LG French door bottom freezer, with an ice maker in the door fridge. It has never worked right. The ice maker was repaired 4-5 times during warranty. The compressor failed within 4 years, and it never keeps the right temperature, constantly freezing food in the fridge. We set it at 45-47, it does 30-32. We’re throwing away lots of vegetables ruined by freezing. Even worse, when we needed repair for the compressor, under warranty, we contacted LG. Their repairman came out and said he would order the part, and then we never heard from him again. Only one local vendor would work on it. The rest said they refuse to work on LG, there’s no support in the US. NEVER BUY AN LG APPLIANCE. THEYRE ONLY GOOD FOR ELECTRONICS!!!

LG has met my initial expectations. Price was the first reason for purchasing this refrigerator. We loved the fact that the shelving was movable. Lots of space, very nicely organized. Well built. Satisfied my growing family. Great color choices. Nicely constructed. Very happy with the service we received. More freezer space needed though. For a growing family its difficult to place frozen foods of different sizes into such a small area such as the freezer. Maybe put more shelving options in the refrigerator.

Purchased LG dishwasher about 15 months ago. After installation, we noticed a burning odor when it was on the drying cycle. We assumed it was just the new smell that would soon go away. It never did. After about nine months, we noticed an error code (hE) and that the dishes werent drying well. Called LG and got a local repair company to come out. They replaced the motor assembly, but the code was still there. Had the repair person out again and they replaced the circuit/control board. Nada. Called again, just days before our one-year warranty had expired and they came out to replace the motor once again and this time it worked. No odor.About a month or two into the new motor, we noticed the burning smell again. This morning, the (hE) error code was back. Im not expecting much response from LG after reading the other posts listed here. Fortunately, I purchased a 4-year extended warranty from Home Depot, so guess Ill have to start wrestling with them! I wish I had looked here before I made my purchase. Just to be fair, we bought a new LG washer and dryer at the same time and have been quite pleased with its performance.

For the past several years the bleach dispenser has become increasingly rusted, and now it is to the point where the clothes washed when the bleach dispenser is used are coming out with rust stains. I thought it might help if I left the washer top open after each wash to allow it to dry out, but this has not helped, and the top is becoming so rusted it will soon be unusable. I actually have had good experiences with LG products and have always thought the brand is not only dependable but is just as contemporary as other much higher price. Also the features are good and innovative that seems to be getting even better all time. It was kinda wide and for being so wide I thought it couldve had more compartments. Just me but, I dont like that some foods are not separated from other because of smells and foods that are more pungent or eaten more quickly. Overall it was a good refrigerator for eight years that I owned and used it. For one thing the barrier that keeps condiments and such from falling out when the refrigerator was opened. When I cleaned it the compartments were easy to remove and easy to put back in. I only had to replace a couple of bulbs as far as any maintenance is concerned. Very dependable I would say. My husband and I purchased an LG appliance package from Best Buy (about $5k) when we bought our new house in May 2018. It included a refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. In March 2020 while self-isolating during the Coronavirus pandemic our refrigerator compressor went out, resulting in the loss of around $250 worth of food. This is bad enough, but it happened with a food shortage going on because of the Coronavirus panic-buying that is happening everywhere. We had to wait 3 days before we could get a repairman out to us. Thankfully he had a compressor; it was under warranty, and was successfully replaced. The fact that LG KNEW that they had faulty compressors in their refrigerators, and that neither Best Buy nor LG contacted us to notify us of this defect is really a problem. We are out the $150 that it cost for the repairman, as well as the cost of the food we lost. I will never buy another LG product since it appears that they dont care about the consumers, only about their bottom line. If youre thinking about buying an LG appliance, DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST and read reviews.

Our 9 month old LG French Door Refrigerator has had a horrible vibrating sound almost from the day we bought it. As a final measure before throwing it out, I took the lower rear cover off the compressor area. The compressor is vibrating very loudly, to the point of complete annoyance. I placed a small piece of 1 thick hard rubber flooring wedged above the compressor... this appears to have temporarily stopped the vibration (as has a number of other attempts to stop it including turning off the ice maker, removing the ice tray, taking jars off the inside refrigerator door, checking the level of the refrigerator, and cleaning the dust off the coils). We replaced older but well-functioning washer and dryer with the upright LG. We were told by the salespersons that this was the best although expensive system. The research we read also led us to believe we were making a great investment. Wrong! The smell and mold that builds up is unbearable. Our room downstairs smells moldy ever since we began using our machine. The washer shakes horribly. We also had an LG serviceman come twice. We paid for his time, travel and service to adjust the legs of the machine. It still shakes and now leaks. Of course, this all started happening once the year warranty expired. When I contacted the LG company directly about the problems, I was directed to use the LG service repair. Beyond disappointed and frustrated. We are worried about the negative impact we may experience with our health with the constant mold that continues to plague the machine. After reading all the logs, something needs to be done about this problem! LG WM2233HW.

It was competitively priced versus the competition and I liked the look better. It had most of all the features I was looking for. I had also heard very good reviews regarding LG refrigerators and decide to try it. I like the stainless steel look it had and also the amount of storage it had and also customizable shelving. The freezer also had a ton of storage and temperature controls were included as well. I dont have a whole lot of complaints. It has been and continues to fulfill its purpose. However, if I had one complaint it would be it has no ice maker.

Our washer (LGWM2301H) was purchased 3.5 years ago. Recently, it developed a grinding sound that was amplified when spinning. A repairman charged me $80 to tell me that the bearings were going and, OF COURSE, that particular problem was not covered under the warranty (whatever the hell is), and that the repair would cost more than $500.My husband and I are both a little shy of 70 years young and do just a few loads a week. Also, we have used numerous AMERICAN-made washers in our lives that never broke down but just were replaced due to age. This expensive LG was a treat for my retirement; my husband wanted me to have the BEST. Well, as it turned out, we bought the BEST of the Asian junk market or wherever this jewel was conceived - LG has taken care not to provide that information. It has been hauled away today and been replaced by an ALL AMERICAN-MADE MAYTAG top loader. The downside of this is that LG screwed us out of $800. (I could have had my laundry sent out for that amount.) But the upside is that, hopefully, LG will continue to put out junk and screw itself out of the market with the rest of the junk producers. It is refreshing to know that the MAYTAG IS ONCE AGAIN COMPLETELY MADE IN AMERICA, BY AMERICANS - WITH COPPER WIRING AND NO ALUMINUM JUNK . Go for it, LG. I can only hope that you will continue digging your own grave.

We had no idea what a nightmare we would be having after purchasing our LG
We had no idea what a nightmare we would be having after purchasing our LG Top Loading Washing Machine. The very first problem was a significant leak that was repaired in a timely manner. After that, I had a problem getting the soap out of my clothes and called the toll free number. I was told to use only 3 tablespoons of HE detergent, I was only using 1 tablespoon and still could not get the soap out of our clothes. I was taking our towels outdoors and hanging them from our clothesline and hosing them off until they were freer of suds. Finally, I called a repairman and was informed to use only 1 to 1/2 teaspoon of soap, but I still have to use a lot of water to get our laundry somewhat soap free. Our water usage has gone up over a 1,000 gallons a month.Things went along for a while, until I started noticing small shards of a foreign material stuck in our towels or in our pockets. I was baffled as to where these little hard pieces were coming from, and about that time, the washer was starting to make a strange noise during the spin cycle. I called the repairman again and we discovered that the drum was rubbing against the fiberglass liner. Those small shards in our laundry were coming from the washer tearing itself apart.I agreed that this particular washer was to be replaced. I wanted my money back minus the months of usage, but was told that was not an option. Finally, in the later part of November 2011, 6 months after our initial purchase, we received a replacement machine from LG. All was fine for a while, until the bleach dispenser stopped emptying completely. So, I called the repairman again and we received a new dispenser. Well, that one did not work any better and another repairman determined that there was a problem with the control panel and the washer drum needed to be replaced, because it was not in balance. It has been less than one year since we made our original washing machine purchase and it has been one problem after another. The fact that this type of machine does not properly rinse laundry and requires a lot of extra water to do so, is irritating. I always have to stay alert because the machine goes out of balance a lot and I have to leave the wet laundry and try to get the machine going again. In my opinion, this machine is poorly designed and will never work properly. Life is not good at LG, and well never purchase another one of their products.

This item had good ratings and suggestions directly to me from store associates and consumer ratings. Online there were very electorate reviews from multiple retailers and review websites about how this refrigerator, in general, was the best one that many of the spoken consumers had every previously owned. I like the water filter, cooling levels, storage space, stainless steal, and ice machine. Additionally, it has a wide breadth, lots of shelves, easy to clean interior and exterior, and good lighting inside the machine. Sound levels, height, and some leakage at the bottom occasionally. Otherwise, there is nothing else I notably dislike. I would improve the quickness of the ice making process for the ice maker machine, and I would also improve the noise levels for lower levels or whirring and shaking noises.

I purchased this LG French Door 28 cu ft Refrigerator Model # LMX28988SW on 3/10/2011 and was delivered and setup from Best Buy on 3/28/2011. Was told this is the best fridge on the market... It cost almost $2600, but I wanted something that would last. Boy, that sure didnt happen... Not quite 7 years later my freezer and icemaker both stopped working. The ice maker needed replacement just a few months after purchase and now it failed again. Im sure its somehow related to the freezer no longer freezing things. I have an International Harvester refrigerator in my barn that was purchased by my parents in 1950 and it still works fine. How discouraging that this LG fridge has already puked out.

I purchased an LG electric range in early 2013 and just two months later it malfunctioned. When I called LG for service they never called me back and then it started working on its own so I never called them back. However, on Thanksgiving morning it completely died. We checked everything and we could not get it to work. We were told by several people who work with electronics that it was probably the motherboard which is too expensive to replace as far as Im concerned. I am very unhappy with this product considering we paid seven to $800 for it just two years ago and now it is basically useless and will just go fill a landfill somewhere. I cannot find my receipt but I have spoken to LG repair regarding this item.

Bought LG black stainless steel appliances. The microwave bottom melted since it has the cheapest plastic material underneath. It melted under standard cooking situation. Uninstalled it and took it back to Home Depot, waited about five days to hear from the Home Depot. Finally got a phone call from Home Depot and stated LG has declined to do anything since the damage happened from outside. I was offered by the store manager to give me a discount on my new microwave that I will buy. Other than that my $300 just flushed out. Its sad to see such a terrible product and service from a company like LG. They make billions of $ by ripping off from the poor. Now Im left without microwave and my $300. Never spend your money just by looking at its brand name. Knowing they have a name they use the cheapest product and plastic from China and charge the highest dollar amount. Terrible product. Im a mad and angry person right now.

Im wondering if anyone else has had this problem with an LG washer. Both the service tech and the LG customer support techs said theyve never heard of it. I just discovered a few days ago that the machine does not add any water during the rinse cycle!!! Who knows how long Ive been wearing clothes and using towels that havent been rinsed. The tech replaced both circuit boards but it still does not work. LG insists that because the tech said that it does add a small amount of water there is nothing wrong.I tried to explain that a cup of water at the very end of the rinse cycle, which does not ever agitate and immediately drains out is NOT how its supposed to work. The tech said he doesnt know how much water is supposed to flow into the machine for the rinse cycle, but as long as something goes in, it means its working fine. Seriously? Im done being angry... just going to throw it out, but Im wondering if anyone else has had the no rinse water problem and if you were able to get it fixed. Thanks.

I have the top loading LG washer without the agitator. I hate it. My clothes come out in a tangled mess every time I wash them, so much so that some of my clothes have ripped and have holes. This has been going on from day one, I purchased it 5 years ago, I wish I had returned it. I even open it during the rinse cycle and untie and untangle them and by the end of the cycle they are all twisted up again!! I will never buy another washer like this again. Give me back the agitator. I have never minded doing laundry but with this problem I dread it.

I have been without a dishwasher going on 5 months now. Have been unable to get a straight answer from LG. I understand appliances might have problems —what I don’t understand is LG’s absolutely horrible customer service. They are rude, don’t give you straight answers, say they are going to call back and don’t. One rep told me they don’t replace a unit just because it happens to be a lemon! I bought an electric double oven, convection on bottom, glass top. Model is LDE 4415,4413 or 4411. Anyway, I like to cook. This oven is horrible. It takes 30 minutes to boil water!! I have never had such a horrible oven to cook on. Burners are impossible to heat up, when they eventually heat up its impossible to turn them down. You cant control the temperature. Another thing I think is really odd is the oven light. My model has an 2 ovens with the convection oven on the bottom. It seems odd to me that when the oven light is on it is on in both ovens, not a big deal, just seems light a cheap design. Do not buy this product, unless you dont like to cook.

We purchased our $3,000 fridge at Sears in 2016 before they went out of business. While it is a Kenmore sold by Sears, it is actually a fridge built by LG for Sears. So the fridge is basically 4 years old and the freezer has stopped working. With Sears bankruptcy, I have no warranty. I understand that, but LG is unable to provide a qualified service agent that is still in business. All service agents I have called have indicated that LG is proprietary and I need a LG technician. Totally unacceptable. Besides the service issue, breakdown so quickly is a problem. If you are buying new, I would recommend sticking with manufacturers that specialize in kitchen appliances, not TVs and computers. I wont make that mistake again.

We bought a house with built-in LG double wall ovens. They were inspected prior to our purchase and worked fine. We decided to use the self-clean mode on the upper unit that is built in to the appliance and what a huge mistake that was! The electronic touch screen went blank, the door locked shut, and the oven heated up to some insane temperature that had us concerned the unit would catch the wood enclosure the ovens were built into on fire. The self-clean took over 5 hours to complete and the upper oven has not worked since. I went online to see if I could figure out what happened and saw that this is a very common complaint about LG ovens. So, I contacted LG to file a claim and they refused to acknowledge the issue and said they would not warranty the appliance because our purchase contract didnt specifically call out the serial and model numbers of the BUILT IN UNIT. They had no concern about the fire hazard created by using the self-clean feature on the unit and no offer to inspect or correct the damage (that seems to be a regular occurrence) caused by using their appliances self-clean feature. LG offers both a shoddy appliance and a shoddy customer service experience. I will not be purchasing another LG product.

This product (LG WM5000HWA) has been shaking violently. I reported this issue and LG sent a technician out to look at it. He claimed that I was not using HE detergent. Lied! I purchased this from Costco and concierge tried to have LG come out again. Second technician came and did not do service. They saw the machine spins and machine shook violently with the correct amount of HE detergent used. They then called LG second tier support and when the machine shook the one that was suppose to see it said his video froze. They couldnt stay any longer due to their next appointment and told me that they would report this to. Lied! At this time I have been on the phone with Costco for 15 times and hours or more each time. Distressed and disgusted with the lies blaming the consumer for not using the wrong detergent and claimed they didnt see any shaking. LG then scheduled their in subcontractor to take a look for second opinion, took a day off. They didnt showed up or called for no showed. Costco called and had another subcontractor to come a look. This technician was ethical and did report that this machine shook but LG didnt do anything. 3 months now and they said their machine has no issue when this twin wash washing machine shook horrible. I had them on video that this shook and technician did see it but they refused to look at the videos I recorded! I will never buy any LG products and will discontinued my membership with Costco. This product is the latest line of product with only several months of use. Disappointed for them wasting my time and my money on on this purchase. Oh tech even told me I had to wan socks with socks separated. Pants with pants. Shirts with shirts. These idiots talk to you like you come from the Stone Age. Cost me $350 to repair a one-year-old $500 dishwasher. Now my refrigerator compressor has died. This time, LG is covering the repair under warranty, and the experience over the phone with their customer service department hasnt been too bad. But from reading reviews, poor reliability is typical for LG appliances. I expect the new compressor wont last any longer than the original and Ill be going through this again in 18 months. I immediately called LG to schedule such repair and after the first visit, the machine has lost its track of time as well as the continuation of the UE error activity. Now a 35-minute speed wash can last all day if you do not babysit the machine and catch it before it starts ANOTHER rinse on the spin cycle. To top the matter off, the repair company sent by LG, Infinity Solutions, out of Irving Texas cannot keep a scheduled appointment! I have now missed 2 days of work by staying home to meet someone who does not show up. The excuses are unending. I sure wish I came here before purchasing my LG LFXS29626 refrigerator... As has been noted, a little over 2 years (gee, theres a 2 year warranty... hmmm), the fridge died. puddles on the floor, which I thought might be from the water filter, began forming... Before I realized it wasnt cooling, $500 worth of food had to be tossed into the trash... 1 week later, a service guy fixed it (replaced the compressor, added coolant)... it now rattles, and it isnt cooling... they are coming back again on Weds (5 days from now) to try to fix it again... I dont have much faith. One thing I will say... CALL LG. They covered the labor and the part, despite being past the 2 years. Dont let them tell you theyll cover the part but not the service, as this problem is PREVALENT, and they are (Im sure) just trying to avoid a class action lawsuit at this point.
