Wow! Before I bought the LG Model WT5101HW in Aug. 2010, I could not find bad reviews on this washing machine. I wish Id investigated further. It is just as noted in other reviews; not enough water in most cycles, not energy efficient (1:09 hr. cycle will take up to 1:55 hr.), water levels will sometimes leave clothes dry and still dirty. Machine has been recalled and fixed by service representative (which took three trips), constantly going UE and adding water, etc. There is no way to shorten a cycle except rinse and spin or spin only. I found the only thing that works reasonably well for cleaning is the Bulky/Bedding cycle. This seems to load the water based on level rather than the weight method. But it always fills it full, so I make sure the loads warrant the extra water used. I am considering biting the bullet on a different washing machine when the extended warranty expires in about ten months. I will NEVER purchase another LG product. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

Warning!!! Do not ever buy a LG True Balance Washing Machine unless you dont mind waiting 2 - 3 hours for a wash to finish. Unless you are doing a small load with exactly the same type of clothing in it expect your machine to go out of balance and either take forever to balance or stop and wait for you to balance it manually. I will NEVER buy from LG again. They have done nothing to correct the problem but come in and replace the motherboard which does nothing. The problem is in the concept - direct drive/self-balancing doesnt work. I have actually stood and watched as the wash went from almost done (3 minute mark) to starting another rinse/spin cycle. Extremely frustrating and costly in electricity and water consumption.

I liked the finger proof texture. The body of the fridge had the silver style. Really looks good in my kitchen next to my other similar style appliances. The refrigerator section holds a lot more than the refrigerator that it replaced. But I disliked the drawer on the bottom. It seemed not to hold much and everything just ended up being piled on top of each other. It just wasnt as convenient as I thought it would be for my size family. So I started looking on reviews about other brands. LG has always had a good reputation on other products of that brand I own. Ive had some good luck with their brand but all in all I think I will be looking into other companies next time I need a refrigerator.

As others who have previously reviewed this product/item, I am extremely disappointed in its function during the spin cycle. It never fails that I must attend to the machine during spin cycles to either re-adjust the wash or take everything out and put it all back in in some manner that seems balanced. Ive never encountered this problem before with other washing machines. Since the LG television I bought was excellent, I figured the same would apply to their washing machines or any of their products. Was I ever mistaken. I will never buy any of their products unless they make vast improvements. Now Im at the point where I must buy yet another washing machine. But I will do my homework this time and purchase one that has high performance ratings. And I will certainly tell anyone and everyone who ever discusses washing machines to avoid LG. My final statement and question to the LG corporation is: Do you even care?

I bought an LG Refrig/Freezer side by side unit in 2013. Within four months, the doors stopped sealing causing all food inside to spoil while I was out of town. Not covered by warranty, spent over $200 to have it repaired. Repair seal was no better which resulted in a second spoilage and waste of hundreds of dollars of food. Spent another $200 - all this within a year. I bought LG because they were supposedly good. I have learned the hard way. This is far from the truth. This morning my refrigerator was dead at the age of 31 months. After calling support number I was told to hire a technician. Instead I have emptied it out and am pushing it out to the curb where it belongs - in a trash dump. Bottom line is LG refrigerators are LEMONS. Do yourself a favor and NEVER EVER BUY ONE.

LG dishwasher inverter direct drive - If I did not have to pay to reinstall
LG dishwasher inverter direct drive - If I did not have to pay to reinstall, I would toss this one and replace it. It sounded good that in the bottom rack the dish dividers folded down to arrange space for large items. Yes, they do -- every time I load, close, open, or almost when I breathe when using it. If I partially load (of course, I do) and close to await more future dishes, the dividers fall over and the plates and bowls tumble. So frustrating because I have to reload every time I GENTLY close the door (if I get to that point before they fall). I now work in very slow motion and hold my breath when using it. Lets capitalize VERY dissatisfied!

So no big surprise based upon the various reviews concerning LG refrigerator performance. Yes our LG refrigerator stopped working so we called a local repairmen who diagnosis the issue as a compressor failure (which seems to be a common problem), but due to the labor cost and after considerable effort we got LG to send their own technician to come out on their cost to fix the problem. The technician was great and after repairing the compressor and the evaporator (also faulty) we thought all was good. Unfortunately the fridge still didnt work so he returned and after numerous hours and effort he informed us that oil had entered into the lines and there was nothing else to do but submit a request to LG for a reimbursement. We are currently waiting and cannot get any info concerning our status and whether we should keep the fridge to return and that reimbursement process may take up to 4 to 6 weeks for a prorated reimbursement amount. So we have already have waited six weeks without a fridge and will potentially need to wait another six weeks before we have closure and honestly Im not too optimistic based upon the length of time and the ambiguity that each person gives us on the phone. Although each customer service rep is nice it is unfortunate that LG does not give the autonomy to make a decision even when their own repairmen have given forth their assessment. I realize that products fail but when there is an obvious trend LG should be fast recognize and not strong their patrons along. Its just bad business.

Control knobs will turn on with a slight bump. Has burned items on my stove because was caught by someone in my household. Smoke alarms going off and rooms filled with smoke. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!! LG refuses to acknowledge or correct the problem, despite numerous consumers having the same exact complaint. They have denied my request for a fix. I check recalls every week just expecting to find this range on the list, but not yet. I hope it doesn’t take a serious incident for this to be addressed. Im hoping a lawyer will file a class action suit against LG. Costco says they must go thru the manufacture for this problem. Who will pay for my house if it burns down because of this stove?

Bought LG LMXC23746S/00 around 4 years ago. Quite expensive, over $3500. The sealed compressor broke. This is what the technician said, I wouldnt charge you $600 for the Freon if I know your fridge will get the same problem in 2 months. Another company wont even come out to service. This is what that company said: Sorry, I dont provide this service. I suggest calling LG if under 5 years. If older replace unit. LG is known for sealed system issues. We no longer work on LG sealed system because of their known issues. We cant warranty something that we know doesnt last. Actually, 2 years after we got this fridge, the plastic shelf start to crack and some part broke up like crackers. Well, so much for a 4 years old LG fridge. I recommend to stay away from LG refrigerator.

Beware! I thought my new LG oven was self-cleaning. After all it says Easy Clean on the selection on the top of the range. Easy Clean is NOT easy. It involves: pre-scraping; using water with very low temperatures; and a LOT of elbow grease with non-stick scrubbers after the 20 minute process. I am SO disappointed in this aspect of what is otherwise a great oven and range. LG -- you need to fix this issue going forward!!! I am way too old to be down on my hands and knees scrubbing my oven. This is pathetic...and an all day process.

After fighting a good fight with Sears over my compressor failure after 2 years, on a Kenmore Elite, Sears with much pressure and an inquiry by a local NBC news affiliate replaced our fridge with a LG model last June. I am disappointed and upset to say this LG model has just done the EXACT SAME THING. The compressor has failed and I am so angry. The repairman has said that LG and Kenmore Elite both outsource their parts to Korea and showed us what to be wary of in future when buying a fridge. He also advised us that he spends more time on these models than any other for this same repair. He advised us to just buy a new fridge (suggested Whirlpool) because the cost of repair is not worth it and it will go out again. So LG you have lost a customer and Sears will never get a dollar from me again.

My LG refrigerator has a ton of space. I love how they designed the ice maker to be space saving, so that I may fully utilize my door space. Other refrigerators that Ive seen have the ice maker taking up all of the door space. I love that I can change the shelves inside of the refrigerator and the door in a door function is just amazing. The refrigerator drawer is an amazing feature and we use that for everything from wine and pop to lunchmeat and cheese. The freezer drawer is also an easy to use part of this refrigerator, I was amazed at how easy it is to make the most of that space. All in all this is the best refrigerator we have ever owned. Everything is spacious & easily accessible, its a good looking appliance and we get many compliments on it. I was able to get it at an amazing price too, using a coupon during a good sale.

After reading on the energy savings we bought an LG HE front loader in 2010. Well, after reading my booklet and other information, I understood that have to keep the door open to not have odors in the washer. We have terrible build-up of mold inside the rubber gasket. I am allergic to mold. I have to get in there and clean with bleach but still comes back. I will say it cleans my clothes. You only need a tablespoon of detergent. But my problem now is the terrible LOUD noise it makes every time it empties the water out. Goes off-balance all the time with small loads. CANNOT wash a small throw rug. Its IMPOSSIBLE to find a reputable repairman. My mom bought the same washer 2011 and now her motor went after others issues with leaking. Shes going out and buying another name brand. I would never buy another LG appliance again.

I have had this washing machine for over a year and am very dissatisfied with it. I would NOT recommend anyone purchase this machine. You can only dream of getting a hot wash unless you turn off the cold water faucet. Then you have to turn it on to get enough water for a rinse. The sheets are twisted in knots and other articles of clothing wrapped in them. You must stop the machine and unravel the sheets. During the wash one of the sheets balloons up covering the whole load and this requires another manual adjustment. I had a Samsung top loader which was recalled because the drum came loose. Wish this would happen to this washer so I could get rid of it. If I were able to give it - 0 stars, that would be my rating. I cannot stress enough, you will not be happy with this washer. Not all of the negative reviews. They are all true.

Updated on 09/10/2019: Update to my previous post. After a week of having the parts the Puls technician finally showed up and installed a new/different compressor than the original. Install went fine up to the point he told me it required a new software upload before we could plug in the refrigerator, which he has not received yet. Now another day has come and gone with no working refrigerator (two days after replacing the compressor). What a major undertaking this has been! I had to call on behalf of the technician to get the software ordered and Puls is telling me that it was LG that was the hold up. What a nightmare of an ordeal. You would think LG would know the software was a requirement and would have sent it with the compressor. Nope, no such luck! What horrible aftermarket support. Think twice before buying LG... Original Review: I have loved my LG fridge until it stopped working. I called LG and they asked a few question and figure out it was a closed system or compressor issue under warranty. They shipped me all the parts needed (good for LG) but Puls Technologies Inc. dropped the ball and did not have a tech show up as scheduled. So they told me it would be the next day, then they called back and said the soonest would be in three more days on Saturday. My question is, can I get a technician on my own and have them do the repair and send LG the bill? A week without a refrigerator is not a fun thing to deal with. After reading more on LG refrigerators, I see this seems to be an on going issue. Wish I knew this before I bought the fridge and an LG dishwasher. Lets just say, I wont be buying a matching oven and microwave from LG.

On 3/21/20 my tenants discovered that their less-than 5-year-old LG refrigerator had stopped cooling and immediately notified us. They went online after being informed that due to the COVID-19 virus there was no one to help via phone or chat. Despite following all of the suggestions LG had on its website to help get the fridge cooling again nothing worked to correct the problem. My tenants tried repeatedly to call LG, as did my husband, but got the same message. After calling all over town our tenants were able to reach a repair facility, who informed them that the compressor had likely failed, since this is a common issue with LG fridges. Unfortunately, the repair facility wouldnt come out to help (we had all the necessary documents, including an extended warranty) because they werent sure if they were considered an essential business. They took my tenants contact info and said theyd let them know once they had a better idea of whether they were.. Meanwhile, my tenants, who have small children in the house, had no way to keep fresh food and milk for their family and ended up having to obtain a rental refrigerator to feed their family. Finally, after ordering the compressor and being allowed to go out to install it, the part was replaced on 4/2/2020.My husband continued to try and contact LG about this issue and to obtain a refund for the food and rental expenses. Finally, LG had an auto-answer that asked the caller to stay on the line, but that the hold time was exceptionally long. After staying on hold for over 45 minutes several times he was either transferred to people from another country that he couldnt understand, or they couldnt understand English, or that transferred him to another department which immediately disconnected the call hed been on for so long. This happened repeatedly and when he finally got someone who he could carry on a full conversation with and explain the issues, this person was no helpful at all and kept trying to tell him that we waited too long to request a refund!! All his calls were placed over the course of April and May, so when LG was at fault for not being available to even hear our issues, that was truly insulting.I finally started sending messages on LGs website and kept getting inane requests for various items (like the dates of every time we tried to email/call LG and why we didnt request the refund at that time...). The people I corresponded with: Christifien in the regular Customer Service department, Tori, Craig in the Presidential Escalations department (who responded to my separate messages to the President) all gave me the runaround and I had to keep sending messages to follow up, since they were hoping Id just go away... Last month I received a check in the amount of only $150.00 with no letter or apology or explanation, but this didnt even cover half of the expenses that were incurred (Id clearly noted in multiple emails/messages that over $300.00 was lost due to this: All the food in the defective LG fridge had to be thrown away at a cost of over $200.00 and then replaced, plus the cost of the rental).I sent another message to the President, stating how insulting it was to receive this amount; I finally received an email from Laiken **, Presidential Liaison who was very condescending about the whole thing; her entire email message is as follows: This is Laiken with LG. I am sorry to hear about your refrigerator issues. I have pulled up the case number, and I see your unit was down for less than a month. Due to that we cannot reimburse you for more that the $150.00 food loss you already received. As for the part, the account shows the unit was repaired under warranty at no cost to you, but if you did have to pay for the part or labor please send me a receipt for the parts/labor, and we can reimburse you for that. Unbelievable; she made it sound as if I was supposed to be grateful that they installed the defective part without charging me for it or the labor to install it, even though it was, as she admitted, still under warranty!! I sent an email back asking her if she seriously thought a rental appliance store would just give my tenants a refrigerator for free to use while they were frantically trying to get someone to come out and repair the useless refrigerator, not to mention the costs associated with having the loaner delivered and then picked up after the LG refrigerator was fixed. I asked her Put yourself in this position - would you feel like you were treated honestly and fairly? That email was sent to her on 8/25/2020 without any response from her, so Im assuming that she and the President feel that LG is just the poster child for honesty and fairness.... All I can do at this point is advise everyone I know to NEVER purchase one of its shoddy products. Seeing from the other posts how LG obviously knows about their defective compressors, yet does nothing about it, and to top it off lacks customer service skills of any sort, I can only hope that my post here will help people decide against ever doing business with this despicable company. As others stated, even one star is too high for this company!

Updated on 08/13/2020: 2nd review: LG sent out a Technician as a courtesy to repair my 3 year old refrigerator!!?? Per the technician, the previous technician last year had improperly installed the refrigerators back panel when installing the $360.00 fan. This resulted into there was no airflow due to freezing that occurred over the months. This resulted in the back lower panel melting. Also there was a burning smell in the refrigerator. The technician ordered new parts and removed the frost. Refrigerator seems to be working for now. My ice maker is even working!!! LG however refuses to discuss with me compensation for the $150 worth of melted food. I didn’t even ask for compensation due to inconvenience!!!! This experience has been a nightmare! See previous review!Original Review: I purchased a LG side by side refrigerator 7/2017. On 7/2019, I noticed my ice maker wasnt working so when opened my freezer door, I discovered that my food was melting. The fan was not blowing cold air. I called the LG manufacturer. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, a representative answered and I explained my issue to them. They then asked me a series of questions. I was then told they would send out a Technician to my home however I would have to pay upfront the service charge of $125.00. I paid this amount and a Technician came out 2 days later. To my surprise the Technician informed me the fan had went out and it was not covered under the warranty so there would be $350.00 charge to repair. I had him repair the fan and when he finished, I asked about the warranty on the fan and was told it was covered for 90 days. Then on July 2020, again my ice maker on the door stopped working. This time when I opened the refrigerator door to my shock, the back of the freezer was frosted and the bottom panel was melted from the heat of the coil. Again everything in my freezer was melted. I called the LG office once again. Waited this time 30 minutes to talk to a representative. Explained my issue and was transferred to a repair person, while explaining my issue to him, he told me it sounded like the compressor and we were disconnected from his end. I waited and when I didnt receive a call back after 30 minutes I called back and went over my issue with a new representative. This representative informed me they would schedule a technician to come to my house. Due to my last experience in 2019, I asked them wasnt the compressor covered under their warranty. I was told it is however I would still have to pay a Service Charge of $125.00 before they could schedule this repair. I then asked would there be a fee associated with the compressor. To my shock they told me I would have to pay the labor and if my issue was the compressor, they estimated this should cost around $300.00. I asked was the 125.00 deducted from this charge and they told me no, it is a separate charge. I then told them I was not investing any more money in this 3 year old refrigerator that was promised to have a 10 year lifespan. I would be better off purchasing a new refrigerator. I have recently researched the web and I discovered my issues and experiences with LG has happen to many others.

My husband and I bought this dishwasher last May 2015 NEW with the fridge and stove. This dishwasher is probably the worst dishwasher ever!! Its the model with the 3rd rack, sounds convenient right? Wrong!!! It sucks, yes I can put knives and silverware on the top row but it leaves very little space for your glasses. So any glass taller than 6 inches does not fit!! Which means they have to take up space on the bottom rack or Im forced to hand wash! Now the bottom row... The lines that are suppose to hold the dishes do not stay standing up. The silverware basket is in three sections that is suppose to lock to together, it falls apart if you just put a fork in it. The large bottom rolling basket is constantly coming off the tracks! It takes 2 1/2 hours to run a normal load and an hour to run a quick load. The quick load does do a good job and usually have to rewash items. I hate this dishwasher and the only place it belongs is in the trash dump! WARNING DO NOT BUY IT!!!

The refrigerator has a bio shield, it contains liner inverter compressor, it also has a temp. control process, and other cool features like multi air flow, tempered glass shelf. Its much electricity consuming. Though it has some really cool features but I dislike that one most among all. A great portion of my electricity bill increased. I choose LG because of their service quality. I used different LG products in the past. Im very much satisfied with the quality service of LG. Though there have some other brands in the market but I prefer LG over them.

Almost the perfect range, it has everything you need or want. Unfortunately, it has a very dangerous design flaw. When anyone bumps against a burner knob, a burner turns on (normally on high). We recently had a situation where a glass baking dish was taken out of the oven and placed on the stove top. Someone accidentally bumped a knob, turning on the burner to high, where the glass dish was at. When my wife noticed the burner was on, she turned it off and tried moving the glass baking dish off of the burner, when the dish suddenly exploded. I contacted LG. I was told to buy the child safety cover for $30.00. This is a VERY expensive appliance. We shouldnt have buy something to make it safe when it should be safe to use in the first place. Think very carefully before purchasing this appliance.

My wife and I purchased a brand new LG washer and dryer a few months ago and both of them are horrible. The clothes come out of the washer filthy and the dryer sometimes takes 6 hours to dry the clothes. LG service has been here 2 times and tell us to add buckets of water to the washer, use less soap and do small loads when this machine says it can wash a king size comforter. These machines are the worst I have ever seen and LG customer satisfaction is non-existent. We will never buy an LG product again. If there is a class action suit I would love to be in on it. Oh, and Best Buy where I purchased them was no help either.

Ive had this machine for 6 or 7 yes now. I dont know who came up with the idea that the tub needs to be balanced before it adds water. It just isnt necessary and it wears out the spinner gears. I have had mine replaced. Just another money grab. Now I need to replace the drain pump. More money. I only do on average 3 loads a week. Thats not a lot for me to have had to make 2 repairs. I dont recommend. LG makes a good TV. They should stick to that.

Sadly, we are having similar issues with our relatively new LG French Door top of the line refrigerator. About 6 months ago, the ice maker stopped working. I had to have it replaced -- thought it was covered by Geek Squad protection, but thats another story. NOW it just quit working. No signs or symptoms. Just yesterday it was fine, today everything is thawed. I called LG, tried to trouble shoot over the phone with the smart phone diagnostics which didnt register any information apparently, so I had to call a certified technician. Of course, the ONE that is within an hour of my home, cant even come to look at it for three days and probably wont have the part. The customer service lady did tell me that the compressor would be covered under the ten year warranty but the snarky receptionist for the technician told me only if I have the owners manual and the receipt. Really?? It is clearly a new fridge - ridiculous! Life is NOT good when you have six kids and no refrigerator for a week!

Had this stove for less than a year. So far the lower control board failed, the broiler has failed and the cook top has now failed, the wiring harness BEHIND the stove has melted and needed to be replaced. The easy clean function is worthless, the cook top gets very hot when using the stove as described in the video. The buttons on the control panel are not satisfying to press and very mushy with no positive feedback. Do not get this stove, go with another brand/model. I have been without a functioning stove for four weeks now and LG/BestBuy has been at my house over 5 times to make numerous repairs and it still does not work properly. Stay Away.

I was very excited when my husband purchased me all new black stainless steel LG appliances for my new home in January 2017. I am now very angry that my Door in Door LG Refrigerator is not keeping our food cold in the freezer nor the fridge side. Technicians started being dispatched over four weeks ago and after each one leaves the fridge either works for 2 days or not at all. The compressor and motherboard has been replaced and I still dont have a working refrigerator. I am so fed up with this $1800 purchase, I just want my entire unit replaced. Our family of 4 are living out of a ice chest and 2 mini fridges. This is unacceptable! Ive lost hundreds of dollars of ruined groceries and had to purchase a 10 cubic ft fridge to sit in my kitchen until LG decided to actually fix my 2 year old refrigerator. We are extremely frustrated!

Lg refrigerator LFX31925st - This is in addition to my previous review from a couple of weeks ago. A company that LG sent out to look at the unit came out and replaced the main control board and fan panel for the second time. It got rid of the error for a few hours and then by that night the unit completely shut down and when I checked the temp the refrigerator compartment a few days ago, it was 85.4 degrees F and a little warmer in the freezer compartment. LG is still refusing to work with us at all on the issue. I have contact the Texas Attorney General and the New Jersey Attorney General (LG corporate office location) for assistance in resolving this matter.

Its now January 3, 2018, I still havent received a phone call nor have I seen a technician. It sucks because Ive purchased a 5yr. I purchased an LG dryer in March 2015 due to the great ratings and owning a lot of LG products. Within a year I started having trouble with my dryer: no heat. I called several times and customer service said it wasnt their unit. They said it was my venting system or electrical. Had someone come out. Nothing wrong with electrical. Tore dryer apart. No lint nothing plugged from lint basket to outside vent. Finally after 5 months they honored their warranty. Took repair company 3 weeks to fix the dryer. Heater and sensor replaced. Not even 6 loads later same issue. So I called corporate office where I was told they were not going to fix my dryer nor were they replacing it. I am not a happy customer. We bought our LG gas stove in 2009. The first problem we had with it was a week before the warranty was up, lucky for us. The problem was that the valves for turning on the stove were too easy to turn on. I had accidentally turned the stove on with my behind as I turned away from the stove and brushed against the knobs. I didnt think much of it at the time until our toddler was working his way around the kitchen and on two occasions slapped at the knobs and turned the gas on in both cases. We immediately called the LG service line and they had the valves replaced. What we noticed shortly after was the knobs themselves getting loose. When I checked them out, I noticed that the backer was cracking and crumbling away. I contacted company for replacement parts and was shocked at the cost of replacing the knobs, about 30% of the cost of the stove itself. I checked the net and found that this was a common problem with no solution listed. What I did to correct it was to take one of the remaining better knobs and go to a good appliance retailer. I pulled knobs of stoves in inventory and checked to see if the LG knob would fit. When I got one, I asked about ordering replacement knobs for that unit and found them to be of better quality and lower replacement cost. I picked up a set of 5 for under a $100 and I am sure I could have gotten a better deal if I wasnt in such a hurry to get a set that fit. I will never by an LG again and have told everyone I work with my LG horror story. Also, my LG french door fridge has had a drawer bracket crack and my LG dishwasher is experiencing problems as well. They were all bought at the same time.

We had no idea what a nightmare we would be having after purchasing our LG Top Loading Washing Machine. The very first problem was a significant leak that was repaired in a timely manner. After that, I had a problem getting the soap out of my clothes and called the toll free number. I was told to use only 3 tablespoons of HE detergent, I was only using 1 tablespoon and still could not get the soap out of our clothes. I was taking our towels outdoors and hanging them from our clothesline and hosing them off until they were freer of suds. Finally, I called a repairman and was informed to use only 1 to 1/2 teaspoon of soap, but I still have to use a lot of water to get our laundry somewhat soap free. Our water usage has gone up over a 1,000 gallons a month.Things went along for a while, until I started noticing small shards of a foreign material stuck in our towels or in our pockets. I was baffled as to where these little hard pieces were coming from, and about that time, the washer was starting to make a strange noise during the spin cycle. I called the repairman again and we discovered that the drum was rubbing against the fiberglass liner. Those small shards in our laundry were coming from the washer tearing itself apart.I agreed that this particular washer was to be replaced. I wanted my money back minus the months of usage, but was told that was not an option. Finally, in the later part of November 2011, 6 months after our initial purchase, we received a replacement machine from LG. All was fine for a while, until the bleach dispenser stopped emptying completely. So, I called the repairman again and we received a new dispenser. Well, that one did not work any better and another repairman determined that there was a problem with the control panel and the washer drum needed to be replaced, because it was not in balance. It has been less than one year since we made our original washing machine purchase and it has been one problem after another. The fact that this type of machine does not properly rinse laundry and requires a lot of extra water to do so, is irritating. I always have to stay alert because the machine goes out of balance a lot and I have to leave the wet laundry and try to get the machine going again. In my opinion, this machine is poorly designed and will never work properly. Life is not good at LG, and well never purchase another one of their products.

Almost every load we do whether its a big load or small, light stuff or bulky, the UE error light comes on. Sometimes it is on while the machine is still filling or rinsing. Sometimes it is on and the machine has come to a stop. You can never predict when a load or which load this is going to happen to. The bottom line is it can take a whole day to finish a couple of loads. Today we did two load. Total time from start to finish was a little over five hours!! Supposedly, you can pause the cycle and redistribute the load manually and that will cure the problem. Yeah, it will for about 5 minutes until the UE comes on again! Knowing what we know now and having suffered with this for two years, we would NEVER buy another LG HE washing machine. If the damn thing wasnt so expensive, we would have gotten rid of it a long time ago. Its so bad now though that we are probably going to do just that - get rid of the thing.

The ice maker is not a very big one though and it just has a little door insert ice maker. So, it does not produce enough ice for us. The refrigerator is not but two years old and it broke. It took about five weeks before it was repaired. Then, my washer took three weeks to be repaired. The washing machine and the refrigerator are two items that you need immediately in a household. I was so dissatisfied. The parts had to be ordered but it’s not so much LG but the people that they use to repair their stuff. It’s something that they need to look into because when they have crappy service, then the product gets a crappy reputation.

We selected the LG LSXS26326S, side-by-side, stainless steel refrigerator for a number of reasons, including recommendations, interior room, water/ice dispenser, and cabinet size. The height specification for the CABINET is slightly more than 68, which would fit our space perfectly. However the genius, who designed this unit did not look at the height of cabinets in American kitchens. The CABINET fits our space, but the CORD comes out of the TOP of the unit, instead of the rear, adding another 1/4 inch to the dimension. An access panel also adds a small measurement to the height. I had to spend 2 hours to remove the kitchen cabinet, sand it down to allow for the cord and access panel to fit into the space. If you have limited height restrictions make sure you measure EXACTLY, to ensure that the ENTIRE unit will fit. Unless you are handy with removing kitchen cabinets, using a sander, and reinstalling the cabinet, you will need to hire a handyman or carpenter to make adjustments to your kitchen.

Like Nate of Duarte, CA wrote on March 26, 2014 -- by end of 2006 purchased LG LFC25760ST. Had the same issue with the light fixture housing in the refrigerator compartment header, not once but twice. My photos look exactly like his. Last service they replaced the entire electronic board and installed a new light fixture housing also recommending use of lower watt (40 watt) bulbs. This occurred Aug. 2012. At the time I stated I was concerned about possible impact whatever lies above the refrigerator header (refrigerant tubes?). It appeared the plastic header was melted completely through in at least 3 locations. Now I have refrigerant smell in the refrigerator. Service call is tomorrow, so well see what happens but suspect cost to address what I believe are issues with the refrigerant system may be so exorbitant that it may be more prudent to replace after a bit over 8 years than to repair. I dont understand how this fire hazard can be so prevalent for so many years and nothing appears to have been done. If there is a class action suit, I will gladly participate, as this refrigerator is in my opinion, a fire hazard at the very least.

I am currently overseas and purchased an LG F1443KD front loading washer 3 years ago and as a lot of people have experienced the rotor plastic splines have stripped out. As soon as the washer started acting up I tore into it. I can replace the rotor here for around 80 dollars, so I am not even contemplating going through the hassle of the warranty and having to pay for the service call and then be at the mercy of someone else. So this is the cheapest and easiest route by far and I will have my washer back on line in a week. In the meantime I do have a smaller unit upstairs that will suffice until this one is fixed. So will I buy another LG? I am on the fence on this one. Maybe if I get a great deal. LG has been around for many years, but they were not always called LG. I purchased an LG Dishwasher model number LDF7811WW for $610.00. From day 1, the thing never really cleaned our dishes (we also rinse them before putting them in the dishwasher too). This is our timeline with this lovely dishwasher: purchased it on 4-27-08. It wasn’t cleaning dishes, so on 3-26-09, I called there repair number. A guy came out and adjusted the cam for the upper and lower spray arms. It was still not cleaning dishes. I called the repair number again on 5-18-09. A serviceman came out again, had to replace the motor. On 3-22-10, it was having problems again not cleaning dishes. I called their repair number and a guy came out. He had to replace the sump assembly (which he said was the guts of the dishwasher). On 7-25-11, I had to call yet again. The dishwasher was not cleaning dishes. I called their number, he again had to replace the sump assembly (the guts of the dishwasher) and now it is 11 -2-12, I’m having trouble again. So within 4 years, I have had the major components of the dishwasher replaced 3 times and I’m sure it’s going to be the fourth when the guy comes again later this week. I called customer service for LG and they pass the buck and say it is up to my extended warranty people, which thank God we purchased (because we usually don’t). They say that the part has to go bad 3 times within a year to be considered for the lemon law. Well, if you ask me this is a lemon. I should have kept my 20-year-old Whirlpool dishwasher which I never had a problem with but just was updating the kitchen so we replaced it. Big mistake! In my opinion, this is not standing behind their product. I’m sure, to them people $610.00 is nothing, but in this household, it is very hard to come by and I want to get what I paid for. I could have bought lemons much cheaper at the grocery store. Buyers beware.

Bought an expensive LG French Door refrigerator back in 2018. In March 2020, it started making a loud grinding fan noise. We called out a technician, who apparently ordered the wrong part. A week later, a different technician came and installed it, apparently not noticing that it was the wrong part. Immediately after he left, we started getting an error code. The only way to get the fridge to still cool is to constantly throw the breaker every hour or so...and today we found out that the new replacement part is on back order and wont come for almost two months. Im mystified why LGs parts are so easy to confuse...before we called the technician, the fridge was at least working. Now its pretty dodgy. Something this expensive shouldnt break within 2 years of purchase...

The refrigerator is now leaking water all over our kitchen floor, and the knobs on the gas stove are cracked again--they have been replaced twice already! Please do not purchase anything from LG! I know we should have been worried when the washer broke the first week we got it home, the dishwasher leaked and the refrigerator water dispenser has never worked properly, even after multiple service calls. DO NOT BUY AN LG COUNTER TOP REFRIGERATOR FREEZER AT ANY PRICE!!! On Nov 3, 2013, I purchased an LG refrigerator-freezer model #LFC21776ST, Serial # 308TRJL49636. An extended warranty was also purchased to service this unit from New Leaf Service Pro, located at 909 Lake Carolyn Pkwy Suite# 900, Irving, TX 75039.On February 2, 2015, I reported to the warranty company, New Leaf Service Pro, that the freezer was not working, and that the automatic ice machine was not functioning. On February 6, 2015, a technician was sent out. He wrote up the issue that he adjusted the temperature controls. On May 15, the same issue was filed with the warranty co. This time, the technician said the ice bucket was not sitting correctly and that was why the ice was not forming. The very next day, I contacted New Leaf and told them that the freezer was still not working and the ice was not freezing. They told me to unplug the unit and replug it, and also to flip the circuit breaker. Again, on August 1, 2015, the same issue was occurring and I contacted New Leaf and asked for a new company to come out. They refused and said they could not change the service company in the middle of the issue (thus stating that it was the same issue all along). On Aug 6, 2015, once again New Leaf sent out a technician who said the computer board needed to be changed. After waiting 2 weeks for the part to be delivered, a 4th repair call was made on August 22, 2015, a fifth service visit was made and the computer was changed. THE UNIT STILL DID NOT FREEZE!After 5 failed attempts to repair this lemon LG refrigerator-freezer, the service company refused to replace the unit and finally sent out a new service technician for a second opinion, for a 6th attempt to repair this lemon. By this time, I had been without reliable or functioning freezer service since February 2015. I had to discard hundreds of dollars of food. This time, the repair company said it was the compressor that had to be replaced. Even though the compressor was covered by LG for 10 years under the manufacturers limited warranty, they refused to deal with this compressor failing because I had the extended warranty. The extended warranty company said they would not repair it unless I signed a damage waiver for them to enter my home (meaning that if they scratched my flooring or damaged a wall, they would not be responsible). I finally ended up removing the unit from the warranty company, and I am now on my own. I still do not have a functioning freezer since February 2015. Do NOT buy an LG unit and do NOT cover it with an extended warranty from New Leaf Service Pro.

Model: LMV1680DW. Dont buy LG - just dont do it.... You WILL regret it. I know, every company has failures, and you can find a person who hates any company. But, LG is horrid. This is the second microwave from them that failed with the same problem - in the original warranty period! After months of fighting with them, they finally replaced the original unit, and now the new one is dead! Called them up and they start giving excuses for not replacing the second one. I will buy a new microwave - I just dont have the energy to fight them anymore and even if I win, cant go another 3 months without a microwave...It doesnt matter how cheap LG are, there is a reason they are cheap... Dont fool your self - youll spend less if pay more.

I have owned an LG refrigerator with a bottom freezer for the past eight years. Besides the beautiful design of my refrigerator, I don’t have many good things to say about LG as a company. As a matter of fact, as a free trade supporter, I would limit access of this company into the US market because it does not uphold US product and service standards. The internal organs my refrigerator, made out of plastic, began breaking in the first two years. Two years ago when my refrigerator stopped cooling just before a big holiday for each I had to cook for and store food, it took LG four days to send appropriate serviceman to take care of the problem. The first repairman did not even have the appropriate equipment to fix the refrigerator and passed the buck on to someone else. When I called LG again and insisted on an LG certified repairman they had sent one. At that point I was out of warranty my refrigerator needed a new compressor which was installed two years ago in 2016, and for which I paid full price out of my own pocket. Recently I’ve had a problem where my freezer is not working but the refrigerator is still cooling. When the question of replacing the two-year-old compressor with a new one came up, LG stated that it’s company‘s policy is that if a compressor has been replaced and the refrigerator is out of warranty, the standard manufacturer warranty for compressors which is typically for most appliances 5 to 10 years does not hold water any longer. When you call for service you have to threaten and move up the ladder to speak to a few supervisors before you can get an adequate service. I will never own any LG product again and I would gladly share this recommendation warmly with any person I know. Who needs you LG? Go back home and stay there!!!

I purchased an LG washer and matching dryer in April of 2014 from Best Buy. I was drawn to it because of the see through glass design. I thought they were cool looking. The salesman pitched it as a top of the line product, I fell for it :-( I cry every time I start to do laundry. My clothes NEVER come out clean. Some of it comes out of the washer dry! This is the worst purchase I have ever made. My old washer did a perfect job and I wish I hadnt purchased this crap. Im out $1600.00 for something I thought would be amazing. I spent a ton of money for dirty clothes. Best Buy came out to repair it, they said the motherboard needs to be replaced. After reading these reviews Im not hopeful at all. Dont fall for LG smart technology. This washer is crap!

Every so often greasy black stuff gets on our wash. I think I found the problem. Inside the tub there are three plastic pieces with little rollers on them. I removed them and found lots of black slimy stuff built up. It was really gross. I cleaned them as best of could, but we probably need to get rid of this washing machine as it ruins so much clothes. It is not worth it any more.

I was so glad to add a new stylish refrigerator to my kitchen. Counter depth, window that lets you see inside the fridge, an extra door to open for just drinks. AWESOME! I told my friends, they were glad I updated my kitchen. Well none of them want to hear about how much LG is a terrible product. I had a refrigerator delivered and it did not work properly, had a second delivered, and it was malfunctioning, took two days off work to it serviced and it still does not work. The customer service is horrible. They know how say, That is not our protocol. Instead of LG, buy a cooler and ice. Your food will stay fresher.

We bought an LG Refrigerator LFX31925ST/05 about 1 1/2 years ago for about $2300 and it has been a nightmare. A few weeks after we bought it we started having problems with the ice maker/dispenser. The ice would thaw then freeze in the storage compartment in the door. So ice would not come out the dispenser. We continued to have the problem so had an LG recommended repairman come try to fix it. The first repair did not work. A few calls later and a different repairman and we find out there is a class action lawsuit for the ice maker and we eventually got it replaced. Now, at the age of 1-1/2 years we had the air circulating fan go out. Error code ER rf. Not covered under the 1-yr. warranty. It took the LG recommended repair man 10 days to replace the motor since it was on back order. We agreed to pay him once we were sure it was working. He left angrily. A half hour after he left, the error code was up again and the fan was not running! After we called and complained, the repair man figured it must be the circuit board. A week later, with a refrigerator that is warm on top and freezes on the bottom, we still have not yet had the board replaced. Maybe we can wait for another class action lawsuit. LG refuses to extend common courtesy and replace the parts without charge. We are looking at about $350 of labor and parts for a fridge that is 1 1/2 years old! On top of that, the stainless steel scratches very easily so be careful. Worst appliance Ive ever purchased!

My LG refrigerator quit around Feb. 14. The repairman came on Feb. 17 and said he would order a new board and compressor. It is now March 11 and I am still waiting. I called the Brick customer service and they do seem to want to help but nothing comes of it. I have a serious heart condition and am finding it even harder since I do not feel well enough to go out to get food most of the time. The customer service did not call back and kept me waiting all day yesterday so I did not get to go out and get some food. It is getting warmer outside so my new outdoor storage is no longer working either and the remaining food is going bad. My cats can attest to that and refuse to eat the remaining steak. I am having to eat food that causes me to get terrible attacks of angina. This whole episode is like something out of a nightmare.I called the Brick customer support again this morning and he said he would call the Brick store in Barrie where I purchased the refrigerator and see about having a bar fridge sent over to use until the repair gets done. I should not have had to wait this long as they should have a stock of parts locally and not to be sent from China. Also, since I have paid a large sum of money for the extended guarantee, there should have been immediate action to see that I was not so inconvenienced as this. The very nice man in the Brick customer service just called and said he talked to the Brick store. The Brick store just called and it seems all is starting to go more smoothly and they are prepared to lend me a bar fridge. Of course, that still means long walks just to get to the fridge as I have little room for it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the repair is now going to be done soon. If not, I will be taking much stronger action to see results and maybe help the rest of people that own LG products to get better treatment in the future. I have many LG products so it means a lot to me.

Weeks later the freezer would build up ice and I had difficulty opening and closing the freezer. I contacted LG and they sent a repairman who did not fix my problem. LG then sent a repairman to fix the freezer. The day he left the freezer stopped opening. I am now unable to access my freezer to get food for my kids. I’ve had to go grocery shopping just to have food. I have called customer service several times and been promised that I would be contacted to schedule a service call. To date no one has called me despite 4 calls to LG. I even spoke to a supervisor on Tuesday who promised me I would be contacted and still no phone call.

3 yr old Kenmore (LG manufactured) refrigerator went out at Thanksgiving. Sears was very slow to respond. Tech came out and immediately said it was compressor without even touching the fridge. He said they were replacing them left and right. Part was ordered and it took two weeks to get it. He came back out and it was either the wrong part or it wasn’t a functioning compressor. Fast forward to now and we received the compressor on Tuesday and they are telling us it will be next week before anyone will come out to make repair. It has been 6 weeks now without a refrigerator. We went out and bought a 4 cubic foot fridge that gets us by - barely. Don’t know if it will work when they come back again next week but hopeful. Sick of LG and Sears!

I called customer service for my LG True Balance Direct Drive Washer which I purchased in 2012, so its 5 years old. It has been going off balance and slow to fill with the dribble of water coming from the internal outlet in the washer. It would take all day to do one small load of wash because of this. The phone service is outsourced to India. When I finally got someone who could understand the problem, they said it would cost $350 for one of their service people to come out. COME ON! When I said that was ridiculous, they said they knew it was a bit pricey. REALLY?The smart diagnosis app would not download. When I went on YouTube to see if I could figure things out, I saw the little blue rinse cap emit water on the cycle, WHAT A SURPRISE, mine never did work, I didnt even know it was supposed to shoot water into the washer. I called an independent appliance repairman who came out for $49, which would go toward parts and labor if I needed it. He took one look at my 5-year-old LG WASHER and said, These are nothing but problems, I have left homes with people crying over the problems with these washers. Dump it and get a G.E.washer. LG used to be GoldStar which was the worst brand out there, they just remarketed themselves. I wanted to cry. I spent A LOT of money on this set and for a repairman to not even open the back panel- speaks volumes. He opened the lid, spun the barrel, and looked at me and said, You have more than one problem here, its going to cost at least $400 to repair, are you sure you want to do that with a machine 5 years old? I did extensive research on these products before I purchased with Consumer Guide and Reviews. I thought I did a good job with choosing wisely. Repair guy said: They all work good when they are new.

We bought our LG refrigerator 3 years ago and were so excited to make such a big purchase. We shopped around and loved the features of the one we picked. After just 2 years, we had the compressor go out on it. We were frustrated but weren’t too upset because things break and we had a warranty. Fast forward to less than a year later and we have been forced to function out of ice chests in our living room because the compressor went out again. After doing more research I found that this is an issue many others are having. I am beyond upset. I have lost around $500 in food over the 2 incidents and already spent around $100 in ice to keep what food we have cold. This is absolutely unacceptable when you pay over $2500 for an appliance. My husband’s friend has the same fridge for less time than us and already had to replace his compressor. I will never own another LG appliance again knowing that they are fully aware of these compressor issues yet still produce and sell these appliances.

We recently purchased a new LG refrigerator. Within less than 5 months, it stopped working and did not cool. Since it was still under warranty, we were directed to LG Support. Not only did the people on support line not speak English, we were told there were no LG techs in our area, and it would be 4 weeks before one could come out. Having no other options, we made the appointment. When our appointment date came, the tech was a no-show, and called an hour after the 6hour window to tell us he would not be coming, and the next available appointment would be an additional 2 weeks away. Again, having no other option, we agreed to the appointment time. During this time period we received a strange box on our doorstep, which contained nothing but packing foam - we were not informed of any shipments coming to us. This apparently was from LG and was supposed to contain parts needed for repair (again, it was just foam). When the tech came (6 weeks after the initial call - meaning we had no fridge for over a month at this point) he arrived and said that because the parts were not there (because they SENT US PACKING FOAM), he would have to come back another time. Again, the next available appointment was 2 more weeks away. Throughout the entire experience LG support was absolutely no help, did not try to help troubleshoot, find alternatives, and was completely incompetent (again, I refer you to the shipment of packing foam, and a 2 month timeline to repair a BRAND NEW refrigerator). I will never purchase another LG appliance after this experience, and have cautioned others not to as well.

They said they would send an engineer to look at it today. They apparently cancelled it and told lies. They said someone had been around. They had not. They lied someone cancelled. I spoke to a manager. He was rude and told me I had to maintain it first. A brand new product??? He was so rude. He said, Why dont you ring trading standards. Which I did. Both Currys where I brought and LG are passing the buck. Trading standards said they are breaking the Consumer Act of 2015. I have filed a complaint with Currys, LG and trading standards. I dont even want a product of theirs in my apartment after dealing with ignorant rude people in LG.

The 10 year warranty that covers the compressor is not worth the paper it is printed on. My fridge is running hot to get it fixed under warranty I have to pay $250.00 for labor. The only thing covered is the part. I asked how long will it take to change the compressor, 2 to 3 hours Im told. At what cost per hour, cant tell me that. I asked if they could come out if it is the compressor can they leave it and I will have it installed, told no. I asked if I could find my own certificated LG technician told no they will not supply the compressor. So the only option is pay the $250 or risk having someone charge me double because LG cant tell me how much it will cost per hour for a tec. Also have an LG dishwasher not working, both appliances less than 6 years old. Either have a warranty or dont because this so called one is not worth it. I will never buy LG again.

We purchased a side-by-side model. When they delivered the refrigerator, it would not square up; it looked crooked. They said it worked fine and could not take it back. When we noticed it was bulging from the sides and was wider in the middle, that sort of looked like a problem. The drawers would not stay in the grooves. When we called, they said they would get back with us, which they never did. The refrigerator was bought in 2008. Then the water valve for the ice maker went bad. I called to buy a replacement part, but they no longer make that part. So Im out of luck with a $2100 refrigerator that has no ice maker. I cant even sell it for a second refrigerator for the garage sale as a result.I would tell everyone to beware of this company as they are not reliable. I will never purchase another LG product. I will NEVER buy any LG appliance again. The top-loading HE washer I bought at HHGregg in August of 2012 (Model WT5170HV) has been nothing but a disappointment. LG customer service is terrible! They blame the owner for any problems. Apparently, quality means nothing to them. The area around the bleach dispenser rusted when it was two years old. They did replace the top but when the service tech arrived he just laughed. I do a lot of this, he said with a smile. Your new top will do the same thing in a year or two. Gee, what a vote of confidence. I purchased an extended service plan and Im glad I did. The washer controls do not work. Two new system boards are on order. The repairman told me that without the warranty it would be an expensive repair. He noticed the rust and told me I needed to call LG and get an APM# so the top can be replaced. Just waiting on the new system boards and taking my laundry to the laundromat. Now, just two years later the rust is back but now it is even worse. The washer is rusting around the bleach dispenser and the entire top of the lid opening. Rust is falling into the wash. I phoned LG and was told that they only replace the top once. I must be getting water and bleach on the metal and that I should be wiping it every time I complete a wash. I told the customer service advisor that this was impossible since the rust was under the top. I got nowhere with them and was advised I could get it replaced at my expense. Do you want rust on your clothes? Really? Then why does use water and bleach! Is no liquid is ever supposed to touch it? LG told me the rust is just a cosmetic issue. After owning this washer a little over three years, it breaks! I cannot use it at all! I paid a large amount of money for this machine thinking I was buying the best Top of the Line. What a joke! Serviceman told me after he repairs it I will be lucky to get five years; the average lifespan of this washer. The washer displays proudly on the front a 10-year warranty, but it only covers the motor. I will NEVER PURCHASE another LG product. Buyer beware LG. Do yourself a favor. Buy an inexpensive machine without all the bells and whistle. You will be much better off. The service tech offered that advice.

One never-ending nightmare! I ordered an LG Dishwasher (LDF5545BD) from Homedepot.com on Jan 15th, 2021. As I write this today (February 19th, 2021), I still do not have a working dishwasher after spending nearly $900! The 1st dishwasher arrived on Jan 21st, 2021 but I quickly realized the unit wouldn’t dry the dishes (even with the Extra Dry setting). An appliance associate at my local Home Depot in Austell, GA, Mr. Scott ** was very helpful in helping me contact LG to report the problem. LG decided to replace the unit which was delivered on February 7th, 2021. The installers told me they could not install it fully because it is connected electrically and they’re not supposed to deal with wires without some other attachment. Why was I not told about that beforehand or from the previous installers? Anyway, this second unit did not dry my dishes either. Called support and they told me to use Rinse Aid. I did not feel like I should have to now not only buy dishwasher detergent but also Rinse Aid. So I initially refused to add a rinse budget to my expensive non-working dishwasher purchase. A repair technician was sent out from National Platinum Service in Columbus Georgia. That technician came 13 minutes early, rang my bell, and left 12 minutes before my service window time. They sent another technician the next day who also told me I should add Rinse Aid. After doing very little to check the unit he asked me to sign and he left. I gave in and bought some Rinse Aid and then ran my dishwasher again and then again using the Rinse Aid and varying settings (like High Temp, Extra Dry, etc). No luck – dishes, racks, and inside the unit is soaking wet! LG will have you being transferred to several people who either can’t see the details of my problem or will keep you on hold so long that when someone does speak with you there is a 4-second audio delay added to uncompassionate customer service. LG says they won’t replace it with a different model or refund me so I’m stuck with an $800 paperweight. I cannot reach Mr. Scott at Home Depot and LG won’t budge (because they really, really must need my $800). They want to send another repairman as if I broke it. This is terrible!

I have the smell issues with my LG front-loading washer and Im sure, after seeing the pictures from another case, I will be dismantling my machine this weekend (with pictures inside and out including the moldy drawer that is supposed to clean my clothing) to get rid of black mold that is most definitely making my family and me sick. I will be using extreme care to sanitize the unit and my home from this negligent company that cares nothing for its grievous mistakes that so many have had to endure. Shame on you, LG for being so big and creating a problem you clearly knew about and do nothing for the customers who made you who you are! I hope that some lawyer who owns one will see this forum and take you on. Ill be glad to display my findings with 1080p HQ video and 18 gig pictures with a bag full of what I find growing in my $2,000 fungus-growing washer that you built. P.S. I bought an LG True Steam Balance washer and dryer 2 years ago. Without a doubt, my 30 year old agitator washer and dryer in our house up north function much better. I purchased on the strength of Consumer Reports recommendation and because I thought the steam option would be useful. Consumer Reports really blew this one or else the report was written by some young person who considers wrinkles a fashion statement.EVERYTHING and I include towels, comes out so wrinkled that it requires touching up with an iron. I cannot WAIT to get rid of this washer and dryer; it makes life harder, not easier. I cant fault the cleaning; the clothes are cleaned just fine, but I believe that the washer spins with such ferocity that wrinkles are set into the clothes and no amount of tumbling, or taking them out of the dryer while damp, will eradicate the wrinkles.

Bought a new LG fridge in November 2017 from Home Depot (delivered Feb 18). Fridge was finally installed by my general contractor in January 2019 after kitchen renovation. Almost immediately, the fridge started to make a loud buzzing type noise. The noise is unbearable and can be heard in the other room while watching TV (to the point of needing to raise the TV volume), as well as when we are upstairs. The noise is non-stop and continues even when the fridge door is open. I called LG and they said that the compressor was defective as they are designed to shut off when the door was open. However, they said that the warranty is only for a year after original purchase (even though its been installed less than a year), and I would need to contact a repairman to have them come fix it, and they would not cover the cost of the repairman. I am now getting quotes to fix it for a few hundred dollars, which at that point I should just get a new fridge despite my fridge being used only 6 months. I will never again buy an LG product.

Im going to sue the crap out of them and Lowes. Everyone knows this refrigerator sucks. Why is Lowes still selling it!?

We purchased an LG dishwasher last year. Since it has been installed, the performance of this product has been terrible. The washing and drying cycle is terrible. I contacted LG, and they sent a repair service 3 times and it is not working better. Now that the warranty is not good anymore, they dont even want to consider a replacement. But it never worked well. It is the worst purchase I ever did and the worst experience ever. I still have many error codes and it is not even drying anymore. They replaced the whole motor after only 3 months. My next step is sending them a legal letter and filing a complaint about their products.

Water Level - Poor. White clothes - Never had such dingy clothes. Time to complete loads - 1-2 1/2 hours. Loud Vibrations - plus off balance with most loads. Bleach Dispenser rusts. Wear and tear on clothes. Would love to be compensated so I can replace this awful machine.

This is the WORST experience I have ever had with a major appliance. I should have known when LG started sending yearly checks to make up for under estimating the electric usage of this model. I have replaced gaskets around the doors twice. However, my MAJOR complaint is the tubing that runs to the ice maker. I have had repairs/tubing replacement no less than 6 times in five years. Almost every six months the tubing (5/16 tubing - which is virtually impossible to find) springs a pinpoint leak and water is all over my kitchen floor. Every time I have a repairman, it costs me at least another $100. My latest was again this morning!! This refrigerator is not worth the dynamite I would use to blow it up!

On May 9, 2016, our five-year-old LG French Door Refrigerator had a failure on the Linear Compressor. Working with our maintenance agreement (American Homebuyers Protection Corp), LG agreed to send the Linear Compressor part (under warranty) to a contractor (Appliance Wizard) working with American Home Buyers who would then install the part under our maintenance agreement. To this date, June 2, 2016 - 24 days later, the part has not arrived. Numerous calls have been made by us, American Homebuyers Corp, and Appliance Wizard. LG Customer Service consistently refuses to answer questions regarding the parts arrival or to allow tracking. LG Customer Service flat out refuses to let us speak to a manager. After more than a week of living out of an ice cooler, we purchased a less expensive refrigerator (certainly NOT LG) in order to live life at home without eating out or living out of ice cooler.LG has shown they do not care about their customers. Allowing a customer to go nearly a month without facilitating possible repairs is negligent beyond words and fraudulent under a warranty. Refusal to allow the customer or others who are working with that customer to determine the status of the repair (in this case - has the part been ordered as stated and if so, where is the part?) indicated LG should not be in the business requiring customer service. To say we are frustrated is just a pebble thrown into a large lake. Where is our recourse? At this point, we are not confident we will ever receive this warranted part! Posting on Facebook - writing this review - we will NEVER buy another LG Product. LG is a disreputable company. Be Aware!

Love my front loading machine. The red color is beautiful too. It has everything you could wish for, lots of cycles, options to change temp, and even delay wash start time. The wash finished chime is pleasant and the volume can be adjusted. It is efficient and quiet. I love how much water is spun out of the clothes, reducing time in the dryer. I also bought the pedestal drawer for the bottom which helps save the back from discomfort when loading/unloading. I have had my machine since 2007 and have only had to replace the water pump in 2019. I highly recommend this machine, it is worth the money.

Bought a LP1111WXR at Home Depot. Could not get the unit to work. Called LG and they arranged for a service call. At no time did the customer service rep at LG Corporate ask for or require documentation, they advised that with the serial number they had the information they needed. LG customer service arranged for the 3rd party technician to repair the A/C unit. The tech arrived and confirmed that 99% of the unit functioned properly, except the canister holding the coolant had left the overseas LG factory either a.) without being filled, or b.) with the canister seal improperly properly fit (all coolant leaked out), or c.) with a cracked or defective canister (all coolant leaked out). The technician was set to repair, and then asked for the authorization number I had been provided by LG customer service. The senior advisor at customer service had never provided an authorization number. I advised the tech that LG arranged for the service call. He checked his notes and confirmed that LG Corporate had in fact arranged for the service call....but, nonetheless, he still needed an authorization # (which I was not provided). When I called back LG they gave me the runaround for about 1-hour transferring calls, on hold, etc... The supervisors whom I spoke to where now nasty, and horrible. They advised that it was my fault for not having the authorization number, and would not help in anyway. I now know, firsthand why and how LG sells their electronics at such a great price. Their customer service is awful, misrepresents, and when their product is discovered to be defective, they will not fix it.Worst customer experience Ive ever had - dont buy LG. Ill never buy an LG product, regardless of the price. Never again.

Following in quotes is my last communication to LG about the warranty claim
Following in quotes is my last communication to LG about the warranty claim for my over-the-range microwave. Following their second opinion mentioned in the communication they finally replaced the unit. Honestly I have a house full of LG appliances and electronics and all in all I’m happy with them all but if my warranty experience is anything like standard, I hope your product never breaks. The following stands as my review: “I have a warranty claim for a $189 over the range microwave that’s been going on since 7/11 with 6 repair visits and another scheduled for 9/21. Everything has been replaced at least twice and some things 4 times and it still doesn’t work and still, regardless of my begging including a desperate letter to the company president, you refuse to replace the unit. Your last reply was that my request was denied and you were seeking a second opinion. Turns out it’s from the same repair company who have already sent two different technicians. Love your products. HATE your warranty service. Case **. Service costs listed on visit receipts exceed $1,700. Seems a bit much for a $189 unit. PLEASE HELP!!!”

I purchased an LG French 3 door refrigerator May 2015 LMXS30776S. This refrigerator work 4 years until the compressor stop working. LG sent a repairman and replaced the compressor (LG paid for the replacement 10/18/19). This compressor stop working 11/18/19. Again LG sent repairman and replaced the compressor. The 3rd compressor has now lasted 10 days. LG has scheduled another repairman to come out Thursdays. This will be the the 4th compressor in 4yrs of the life of this refrigerator. LG has spend thousands of dollar on labor and parts with this applicance. This has been a issue with this company about the compressor not working properly. Why should customers go through this trouble?

Not satisfied with my LG Refrigerator #LFX25991ST. I purchased this refrigerator in February 17, 2013 and now the freezer/and main food compartment doesnt cool or freeze. However, the interior light does work. Called LG and they advised me that a Tech would be out in two days to check it out. So we bought ice. The Tech did arrive in two days, checked it out and found that the compressor had failed. My Fridge is still under warranty and should not have a problem getting it fixed, but its new. I kind of look at the fridge as buying a car, turns bad there is a lemon law that protects the customer. The compressor is like the engine of a car going bad. Well, the Tech did call in to Atlanta, Georgia to request a new compressor and should arrive in two days. He said it would take three (3) hours to replace. We will see this Thursday, Jul 25, 2013, if he is correct or even shows up.
