I’ve been wondering why my clothes have little holes in them, get pilly and faded so quickly, and even get tied in a knot sometimes when I do a load of laundry. I finally realized it’s the new washing machine (WT7600HWA). I am so disappointed. The spin cycle is so high that it’s causing little holes In my clothes. I believe it’s also causing the clothes to get all entangled and tied up in a knot which is difficult to untangle and make them a very wrinkled. I am very unhappy with this washing machine and very disappointed. I would not recommend it to anyone. I also don’t like the cycles are so long, why should I take an hour and a half to do a load of laundry? That uses more electricity and water that way as well.

I purchased a LG washer and dryer set 3 years ago. There was a recall on my washer. I was never notified and this caused my computer board to go out. My clothes have been locked in my washer for 5 weeks. LG sent the recall part, but not the computer board. They have me on hold for 20 - 40 minutes and do not provide service. NEVER PURCHASE LG APPLIANCES. They are defective and the company does not back their products and customer services is non- existent!

We bought this washing machine from Pacific Sales in March of 2011. I leave the door opened after washing. I dry the inside after each wash! I clean the filter at least once a week. The water coming from the filter is rancid. There is mold continually growing on the inside of the rim of the tank. The machine smells like mold, even a week after using the sanitize function with vinegar. I have called LG so many times I cant even keep track anymore. Each time they say have you called before? Are you kidding? They know my name and number from the number I dial from but dont know that I have called before? This is the worst service I have ever received. Bottom line.. I will never buy anything from LG ever again.

This is our first time purchase LG. We bought this LG washing machine from Home Depot 2 months ago. It havent worked right until now. All the machine have is hot water came out even I choose to use cool wash. I called Home Depot 4 times; they pick and transfer my call at least twice per time. They got my number and promise to solve but never call back. I keep follow up but all I got is to call LG myself. LG WARNED me they are going to charge me service fee if I didnt got their number from Home Depot. The same day, I have to go in to Home Depot store and ask for LGs number. I called LG back, the same guy picked up my phone call (same voice, same accent), he got all the information: the model type, if I still have my receipt, if I still have my warranty, and told me IT MIGHT BECAUSE THEIR INSTALLATION PERSON PLUGGED THE COLD AND HOT WATER OPPOSITE WAY AND TOLD ME TO FIX IT MYSELF! Can you all believe that? I have never done things like this. What if I break it? Will they reject to fix it for free because the machine broke by human factor? What if I changed it and its still not working right? I reject their suggest; they leave me a number and told me to contact with service MYSELF, again! When I require to speak to a manager, they refuse my request a euphemistic way which is I dont need a manager because he can help me! I really feel like neither Home Depot and LG want to help me with it at all. They push their responsibility away. If they cant push them away then they will set up a lot trouble. They just sell me their product and treat me like a nut. I have my schedule; I have my job. I had enough. I will never by their product again.

Replaced our Elite Kenmore (LG) with new LG. Very happy with updated features. The new LG agitates the clothes much more than the Kenmore, thus clothes are cleaner. Only dislike is machine is louder and water pump is little annoying, if in a laundry room where door shuts all will be good.

We purchased a new LG Front Loader along with the gas dryer about four months ago. For the last four weeks, weve been noticing that our closing is having a mold smell. I was advised about cleaning it out when done and leaving the door open until next load to help prevent the mold from growing. We have tried everything but nothing works; just smelling like mold in the Florida heat.

Purchased a model LFXS30766S and paid a lot of money for it. Purchased in 2014 and it died in 2020. Called three places before I could even find a person to come out and look at an LG. Technician with 35 years experience came out and said the compressor is shot. Not drawing the required amps. Called LG and they said it is out of warranty but they cover the compressor for 10 years so not to worry. They gave me a work order number and said the compressor and labor would be covered and to call back in 24-48 hours to see if the repair is approved. I called back in after 48 hours and the lady told me my claim number was not correct, all my information was there but not my name.I was told again not to worry and someone would be calling me back and I confirmed with her that my work order number was valid. I waited one week and when I called back the lady told me again that my work order number was not correct. She told me that she can see where I called but my fridge is out of warranty so they need to reach out to the place that looked at it to see if they will do the repair but I will be responsible for the labor. She asked for the name and email for the repair place and I gave it to her. The repair place with 35 years experience told me not to waste my money trying fix an LG. Its just going to break again and again. He told me to suck it up and put my money towards a better product. They will not perform the repair because of the POOR quality of LG. Now the lady gives me a number of a place that is 1.35 hours away (Rochester. I live in Buffalo) to set up for the repair. I guess that the fact that no one within a 1.35 hour radius of a major metropolitan area will touch an LG shows how horrible their products are and how bad they treat their customers. Called the repair place they gave me and Im still waiting for a call back. I run a large worldwide company and I will make sure I let everyone I know understand my exhausting and terrible experience.

In a nut shell, LG is designing washing machines that are designed strictly
In a nut shell, LG is designing washing machines that are designed strictly to garner a low Energy Star rating and they dont function as a consumer has every right to expect them to. Main example: set washer to cotton/ normal. Choose hot wash. What I end up with is an 84-degree water in the tub when the hot water heater at 120 degrees is only 2 feet away. I know for certain that it is engineered to pull cold water in with the hot as it fills the tub. Set on hot wash, you cannot even defeat the machine by turning off the cold water. It stops and wont run until you turn it back on. The main factor, I come to find out, in a washing machine’s total energy used includes the energy it takes to heat the water it uses. If the hot cycle uses less hot water from the tank, and the warm cycle is not warm, the overall energy consumption is low. It gets a great Energy Star rating. But then what the consumer end up with for their 620 dollars in this case is a washing machine that is designed to be a bad washing machine. But I think you see the point that the consumer has the right to expect that when they want to wash hot, they get hot, want warm, and get warm and so on. And the washer without a doubt under-performs because of it. It also wont get clothes clean unless you choose water plus. The manual states: Use this option for superior results.” But, of course, we know when being tested for Energy Star, they are not using water plus. Clearly, LG is marketing an Energy Star rating, not a washing machine. They have with purpose designed a machine to be marketable and deceived the buyer into believing the machine works as effectively as other machines with worse Energy Star numbers.I have been to the wall with LG over this. After five service calls and an LG service man and an independent one, they say they hear the same complaint all the time. When asking the service technician and at every level of customer service, including what they call executive services, why it pulls cold water into the hot cycle, their answer is that it’s designed that way and that’s just the way it is. A description read to me by Valerie in executive services about how the hot cycle works was a blatant, probable lie. I’m going to try and get it in writing or get it to read it to me again and record it. She, of course, could do nothing but deflect questions about why water ends up at 84 degrees in the tub with 120 degrees in the hot water tank. When I told her I was absolutely not satisfied with her answers and ask to talk to someone else, I was told in 2 different calls on the matter that she was the final authority and that was the end of what LG would have to say about it. I would think that proving a machine was designed around the Energy Star rating for marketing purposes without regard for the resulting machine actually qualifying as a washing machine would make a good class action. And this low energy consumption design is across the board on the LG machine.Narrow it down to machines of similar tub size as my WM2140C and you can clearly see the absurdly low yearly energy use numbers. Washing machines are not rocket science. There is no magic in their motors or circuits to have the actual machine use dramatically less energy than its competitors. The savings is coming completely from it using less hot water and that of course is not something in any sales literature or the manual. I have the right to expect something marketed as a washing machine to allow me to wash whites and other things I decide that need hot water in actual hot water. By the way, the warm cycle is 58 degrees. In whose world is 84 degrees hot and 58 degrees warm? The machine is 10 months old and still under warranty until mid-May. I perceived the hot water difference early on, but didn’t initially complain about it because I gave the benefit of the doubt as to whether it would function at those temperatures, which I now see clearly that it does not. Then, it took months of service calls to solve other problems with the machine. Pressure sensor problems would continually shut the machine down mid cycle. Turning the machine off and back on cleared the code, but you’d have to start the cycle over again and hope it worked. It became a real problem to go to the basement expecting the machine to be done only to find it shut down. They replaced the same pressure sensor 3 times and it still had the problem. Finally, they replaced it again along with the whole wiring loom and the main electronic board before it worked. Then, I was back to the temp issue. I had no reason to think that manufacturers could play these kinds of games with the Energy Star rating. I bought the machine based largely on the perception that LG was a reputable manufacturer because I was very happy with an LG HD TV I bought 4 years before.

I purchased an LG refrigerator on 5/19/13, model # LFX3194ST, and purchased the 4-year warranty. On 8/14/15 the freezer and then the fridge began to thaw and re-freeze. I called the warranty service and had an appointment scheduled for 8/18/15 between 8-12. The repair technician showed up at 1:30, and after doing diagnostics, said I needed a new compressor (on a refrigerator 2 years old). He ordered the compressor and said it would be delivered on 8/19/15 (and I am sure it is likely a refurbished compressor), and it did arrive, and is still sitting on a bench where I left it in boxes. The technician, Hugo **, then scheduled a 12-4 appointment to replace the compressor on 8/20/15. On 8/20/15, Hugo called at 3:30, and said he had an emergency and needed to reschedule. He rescheduled with me to arrive between 11-12 on 8/21/15. At 2:00 pm on 8/21/15, I called him, and he said he would be over in about one hour. I called him again at 3:15 pm, and he again said it would be about an hour. I had an emergency of my own arise, and called to see where he was at around 4:15 pm, and he said he could be by in 15-20 minutes. I asked if he could wait and come at 5:00. He agreed, but said the visit would take 2-3 hours, which I find to be a long estimate of time when the part is already available. He was angling to reschedule, so I asked when he could. He said he could be over the next morning at 9:00 am, so I decided to allow the reschedule. He never showed or called.I called the warranty department through Lowes to complain. I was told I needed to deal with this technician and take a slot on Monday from 8-12, or I could start over with a new company. They also said the company that was supposed to come has one technician, Hugo, and that he does not work on the weekend, so the warranty rep said, he lied. The next appointment for another company (only other company offered) was 8/28/15. If I started with a new company, the compressor at my home could not be used. So my choice is to take the appointment (like I really believe he will show) or start over. I did work out that I could call another company, but I would also need to start over and bill Lowes. I was also told I could get a rental refrigerator and bill Lowes. Highly doubt I would ever see the $, and the hassle factor would be very high. They have you coming and going.I will NEVER buy anything LG again, and will likely never shop at Lowes again. This warranty is sold by Lowes and they should be bending over backwards at this point due to their poor choice of vendors. No bending noted, so no future business from me. Steer clear of LG and Lowes as far as I am concerned. I included the warranty program # below.

Our family purchased a LG refrigerator four years ago. The refrigerator retailed for two thousand dollars. We started to have problems with the unit after two years with ice build-up on the back. After contacting LG they told us to defrost the fridge. We did that every four months as needed. Now after just four years we woke up to the refrigerator at forty degrees and everything melted in the freezer and now all the food has gone bad. The last refrigerator we owned lasted fourteen years when we gave it to our son still working. Today we spent literally five hours on the phone with service and tech dept. until I wanted to cry in frustration. I never have been through anything like this in the sixty years I have been buying appliances. I cant believe I chose this experience when shopping for a home appliance. But still do not think this is right in any way.

First LG purchase was in Nov. 2009 with a convection oven/stove and dishwasher. Bought them at hhgregg and purchased the extended warranty. Moved out of that home in May 2010 and left the appliances there as I had planned on renting out that home. The end of May (for my new place) I purchased an LG front loader washer and dryer (Home Depot with extended 5 yr warranty) because it seemed like LG was a good brand from all the reviews I had read. Got renters in the next month for my old house and they were in there about a year. We left the house empty with someone checking on it every couple days for a year and a half. We moved back in Dec. 2012. We moved out again in March of 2014 to a larger home but took the stove with us. The dishwasher started having issues in July of 2014 for our new tenants. Our extended warranty covered it and the repairs ended up costing more than it was to buy a new one so it was completely replaced by the warranty. All in all, the dishwasher was used for about 3 of those 5 years before needing replacement. In December 2014 my dryer wont power on at all and I have to call Home Depot for the repair. They tell me its the motherboard and it gets replaced. This ends up being about a $200+ repair covered by the warranty. That same month, my LG oven wont heat up. The display says its 350 but I can easily touch the racks, and food is not cooking. My stove is no longer under warranty so the expense is on me. I call a repair guy out who tells me its one of the heating elements. $125 later everything seemed fine until 8 months later when now my washing machine wont drain and my stove has another issue. Neither are under warranty. The washing machine needs a new pump at about $200. My stoves motherboard gets replaced at about $200. Fast forward to April 2016. Stove not heating up again. Had appliance guy out who tried telling me we dont have enough electricity coming into our house after charging me $200 for some electrical part he said was bad and it didnt solve the problem. I called electric company who checked everything and house had plenty of juice. Got part of my money back from the appliance guy since he misdiagnosed the stove and cost me more money. Husband replaced the second heating element (theres two in this particular model) and everything seemed fine until August of this year. Washing machine is giving pump failure message again, dryers display is not working right (cant see how many minutes left -- digital display unreadable), and the stove went out again. Stove was approx 5 years old before we started replacing part after part. Washer and dryer were 5 years old before we started having issues. I have an LG fridge and dishwasher (purchased Dec. 2014), but I think these will be my last appliance purchases from LG. 3 appliances getting replaced is ridiculous in one month. Quality is just not important anymore to these companies. I dont expect them to last forever, but 7-8 years would have been nice. Will not purchase another LG appliance.

LG refrigerator compressor out & Home Depot protection plan - I’ve on
LG refrigerator compressor out & Home Depot protection plan - I’ve only had my LG refrigerator model#LFXC24726D FOR ABOUT 20 MONTHS. I was not expecting this to happen so soon. Luckily I have the Home Depot protection plan so it shouldn’t cost me anything out of pocket. But their service tech only comes through my area once a week and of course that was yesterday. They’re supposed to be finding someone else but have 48 hours to respond to me. I’m afraid it will be a week before anyone even comes out. It’s just extremely inconvenient to not have a refrigerator when you have teen boys and a family to feed. I’m already nervous about this happening again due to previous reviews of these LG refrigerators. We’ll see what happens.

Bought an LG washer from Home Depot in Alamogordo, NM about 4 yrs ago. From the very first few uses we would occasionally notice small holes appearing in clothes and towels etc. Followed manual carefully about what cycle to spin clothes on, also followed cleaning procedure rigorously as my daughters LG developed the dreaded mold. I was assured that would not happen if I left the door open and cleaned the seal and ran tub clean cycle frequently. I did all that and still developed the mildew/mold stench that permeates our towels mostly. The small holes I finally figured out was caused by the spin cycle (even on low) forcing the thinner weight fabric through the drain holes in tub and catching the fabric on the unpolished back side of rough punched drain holes. I actually physically pulled a t-shirt off the side of the tub slowly and saw with my own eyes the fabrics pulling out of the holes leaving small tears in the shape of the drain hole pattern. Many clothing items were ruined before I started washing everything, even towels in laundry bags. I use cotton pillow covers to dont stink and wash towels in. The main computer panel started to go out immediately after the one year warranty was up. The washer now sits, but at least my clothes dont stink and I have no holes in my new clothes. Laundromats are not that bad after all. The crap that is being pawned off on the consumers is deplorable.

After less than one year of owning my stainless LG gas range, the 5 knobs, which are made to mimic stainless, bubbled on the outside and cracked at the attachment spot. LG replaced them as it was within the warranty period. That was February 12, 2011. Less than one year later, 4 of 5 knobs are again bubbled and broken. After fighting a good fight with Sears over my compressor failure after 2 years, on a Kenmore Elite, Sears with much pressure and an inquiry by a local NBC news affiliate replaced our fridge with a LG model last June. I am disappointed and upset to say this LG model has just done the EXACT SAME THING. The compressor has failed and I am so angry. The repairman has said that LG and Kenmore Elite both outsource their parts to Korea and showed us what to be wary of in future when buying a fridge. He also advised us that he spends more time on these models than any other for this same repair. He advised us to just buy a new fridge (suggested Whirlpool) because the cost of repair is not worth it and it will go out again. So LG you have lost a customer and Sears will never get a dollar from me again.

I bought one of LGs “French door” models in July 2014. The compressor has already gone out. Initially, I really liked the unit, with the exception that the ice maker in the door did not stay cold enough and the ice melts together and has to be thrown out every few days. I was willing to overlook this because the rest of the refrigerator worked great. Produce stays fresh for several weeks.I am giving this refrigerator and LG 1 star mostly because of the service, which is almost non-existent. I wish I could give it 0 stars. I knew that the compressor was out because I woke up one morning and both the refrigerator and freezer were warm, even though the lights and water dispenser were still working and I could not hear the compressor. I tried to “diagnose” the issue so I could let the LG representative know, but it would not give me a reading. The ability to use your smartphone to diagnose issues was one of the selling points of this refrigerator. However, I had to wait two weeks (including over Labor Day weekend) just to have someone come to confirm that the compressor was the issue. The service person opened the refrigerator and used his own phone to determine that the compressor was out. I had to pay him the $100.00 trip fee for him to do something that I should have been able to do. Then I had to wait another 8 days for them to order the parts and come back to install the new compressor. The day before the second appointment, they called to confirm that all of the parts had arrived, but only 2 of the 3 parts had come. They told me they were cancelling the appointment and rescheduling it for another week out. I had to demand that they keep the appointment and I tracked down the missing part myself and picked it up at UPS. Finally, the technician came to replace the compressor yesterday, and I immediately knew something was wrong because it made a loud vibrating noise that has not stopped, which began as soon as he left. I called him and left a message but didn’t get a callback. He had indicated that it would take until this morning to cool down enough for food storage. I decided to wait it out and see if the noise would stop. Not only did the noise not stop, but the refrigerator and freezer are still warmer than the inside of my home.I now get to wait another 5 days for them to come back to re-check the refrigerator. I do not have a second refrigerator, so I am living out of a dorm-size refrigerator and buying ice at the gas station. My interactions with LG and A & E Service have been so negative and their service has been so slow that I have decided to use a different brand of appliances in a new home that is under construction. I will never buy another LG product again.

Less than a year old and poor customer service. We purchased a front load washer and dryer. Our dryer stopped working and would go from 1:55 dry time to 01 in a minute and would not dry. Repair people came to fix the problem. However it is still not fixed and washer is leaking and ruined our new wood floor in the process. I wanted a refund for a washer and dryer we purchased less than a year ago to purchase new and a different brand because we continue to have issues with it. Customer service was not helpful and said they don’t do refunds and that someone from repair has to state it is defective. As a full time teacher it is hard to find time to keep having people come to repair it and only to have different issues with it.

After owning my top load LG washing machine for 4 years, I began getting the UE message on every wash that the unit was off balance. Should have started reading all the previous complaints... well I didnt. Then on Jan. 7, 2017 I received the LE message and the unit stopped working all together and smelling like it was on fire inside. I called the LG customer service where I was told I was out of warranty that they could sell me a one time fix for $305, this would include a technician coming out diagnosing the issue and all parts and labor. I paid for it, the first repairman came (1/13/17) he unplugged the machine, pressed start and then power for 10 seconds each, plugged it back in and told my husband it was fixed... NOT... I called back, they told me they would send a new technician. He came out on 1/16/17 and said the issue was UNDER WARRANTY (10 year warranty on motor) and the motor is SHOT. He would order the parts and come back out... when... he didnt know. Today is 1/30/17 and after speaking to the repairman who is STILL waiting to get the parts from LG... I spent ONE AND 1/2 HOUR on HOLD with LG and got NO RESPONSE... THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN HELL GET THE PARTS. Im at my wits end and just want to get my $305 back and go buy a new machine. I am so disappointed in LG and will never purchase another LG product.

New LG washing machine default wash setting of NORMAL only fills tub with about 1/4 of water. I watched a complete wash cycle and some of the towels were never submerged in the water. They did not get sloshed or agitated in any water. They just stayed in a pile above the water line. This is terrible. I called LG and they told me that was normal for the NORMAL setting to save water. If I put a lot of clothes in the tub I have to choose the bedding setting so the tub will fill with water and the clothes then get washed properly. I am so sorry I did not check and observe this as my 30 day free return period has passed by just 10 days. I would definitely have returned this washing machine if I had known it doesnt have a means to sense how much water to put into the tub. Also trying to get service on their website is not easy. I will never buy any LG product in the future. LG = Living Good, well not for me.

I bought a washer and dryer, one on top of the other one, with stacking kit offered by LG. It is even in the manual as an option for the customer from Home Depot. The washer is leaking from the bottom when it was two months old... I cant believe a brand new machine is not working right in only two months. How can I be sure when they delivered this washer at my house that it was brand new? I am very suspicious with how Home Depot and LG do business. I have this one year warranty offer by LG. Well, it is not like that. I called for service and first of all, they dont have their own technicians. They hire subcontractors who really dont know what they are doing, thats why so many stupid people, instead of fixing, were messing the machines up.On top of it all, this subcontractor wanted to charge me $145 to put the dryer on the floor in order for them to inspect the washer, which is at the bottom. I called Home Depot and I DID not get any help from them, either. When I bought these machines, they told me it was covered and I didnt have to pay anything if it breaks under the 1-year warranty. They even offered me an extension warranty that I DID not take... It is only two months old, and in order for the technician to come before they inspected the washer and fixed it, I had to come up with $145.What a rip-off. I asked for a manager, and he said the same thing, blaming me for choosing to stack the machines one on top of the other one. They talked nonsense. I wanted to return it to Home Depot...They didnt take it. And they cant even exchange it. I paid for the installation, as well, but it is for nothing that I spent almost $2,000 for these ** LG machines...I will never ever buy LG products. They really suck and it is all a **.

Was the best deal available at the time and was highly recommended by salesman. Love the brand and would buy again as it has many features you dont necessarily get elsewhere. Highly reliable products. I like the ice maker and filtered water system. Also like that I can move the shelves around to maximize and customize the space in the refrigerator. I also like the meat drawer and produce drawers. They are spacious enough to hold adequate products. But the freezer is too small, would like less shelving etc to give more space; maybe move the freezer to the bottom instead of side by side if it could be configured correctly and I could see and retrieve product easily.

Love the sensors that are inside to control the cooking of the unit, great for popcorn and re-heating. This microwave has the ability of re-heating a cup of coffee without giving it that burnt taste. We especially like the increased capacity of the inside of the oven itself, and like the way it fits under the cabinet over the stove and is vented to the outside.

My husband and I bought this dishwasher last May 2015 NEW with the fridge and stove. This dishwasher is probably the worst dishwasher ever!! Its the model with the 3rd rack, sounds convenient right? Wrong!!! It sucks, yes I can put knives and silverware on the top row but it leaves very little space for your glasses. So any glass taller than 6 inches does not fit!! Which means they have to take up space on the bottom rack or Im forced to hand wash! Now the bottom row... The lines that are suppose to hold the dishes do not stay standing up. The silverware basket is in three sections that is suppose to lock to together, it falls apart if you just put a fork in it. The large bottom rolling basket is constantly coming off the tracks! It takes 2 1/2 hours to run a normal load and an hour to run a quick load. The quick load does do a good job and usually have to rewash items. I hate this dishwasher and the only place it belongs is in the trash dump! WARNING DO NOT BUY IT!!!

Purchased several major appliances at once from Best Buy. All LG products. The microwave did not work right out the box!!! LG refused to replace it but would send a repair person out. Took a week to get an appointment. Had to take a half a day off to be home during their appointment window. Repair guy didnt show up until 10:00 pm at my house. Replaced a part and left. Next day microwave still broke! Keep in mind it hasnt worked out of the box.I called LG and once again asked them to replace it and they refused and offered to send the same useless repair service out again. If I took off another half day. I now would have lost more money than the microwave cost! Keep in mind it has never worked!!! I filed a complaint with the BBB and they answered basically that I was not getting the unit replaced. I also filed a complaint with the State attorney generals office which I have not heard back from yet. As others have written, you barely bump or lean up against the knobs on the front and they turn on. Even the dog can turn them on. Update 1/27/2022:On 20 Jan 2022, LG contacted me and related that they are looking for a provider to service my Refrigerator. My initial complaint was sent to them on 19 Jan 2022. On 25 Jan 2022 (six days later) I received a call/voicemail from Provider (someone hired by LG to service my refrigerator) asking me to call them back to set-up an appointment to evaluate/service my unit. I researched the phone number, identified the provider and observed that their one page (80% functional) web presence identified that they serviced refrigerators (from their site: Refrigerator Repair: Cleaning the Condenser; Cleaning the drain line; Cleaning the drip pan; Manually defrosting ice build ups; Replacing air damper seals; Adjustment or replacement of door or door gaskets). Absolutely no where did they reference diagnostics; systems evaluations; cooling system trouble-shooting and repair, Nothing. So, using the email address depicted on their site, I emailed them. Asked for them to verify that they did indeed have the necessary training and certifications to service my refrigerator. I also stated that I would need to validate their business (License; certifications; insurance; etc.). On 26 Jan 2022, late in the day, I receive an obscure robo call relating that My parts have been ordered and that once the parts come in that they would contact me and establish a time for a technician to return and repair my refrigerator, and if I had any questions, refer to Providers website (by name). Wow, no one has been at my house, let alone evaluated my refrigerator. Needless to say, I am livid. LG not only produces Sub-standard products; fails at responding effectively to the customer in a timely manner; they completely lack any form of integrity. Imaging the unmitigated gaul it takes, for a Multimillion Dollar Company, to Search for a provider with the technical training/certifications, history of certified good service, that are licensed/bonded and insured meeting their (LGs) High Standards and come up with a company, that has two locatable addresses, both resolving to Apartment complexes, with a single faulty web page for an internet presence, a page of which does not identify any technical repairs (refer above), is not certified/trained to do the technical aspects required to repair a Refrigerator (nor do they profess to this), nor do they have any verifiable insurance covering the conduct of their business, absolutely NO information relating to their business, anywhere. In other words they (LG) simply looked for anyone willing to do the warranty work, did not vet the business or conduct any action to verify that the business they Hired were capable of doing the job let alone legitimate. You have to ask yourself: What type of a business simply hands out their warranty work to ANYONE who responds saying I can do that, Trust Me - wink, wink and hand them the contract?; Imagine allowing people who are complete unknowns with NO certifiable background, into your home to service your $3,000 refrigerator, because LG fully backs them as an LG certified service provider. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Please note that there are Dozens of Certified/insured/very reputable appliance services in Colorado Springs; hundreds in the Denver Area.... Yep LG really did their research. We can pull up certified providers in seconds on the internet, it only took LG six days to find a business that could not perform the job. Original review 1/19/2022:We purchased an LG French Door; Instaview Door-In-Door refrigerator on 1 July 2018 from Best Buy (model: LMXC23796M; GR-X23GHMJM.AMTCNAO). It was delivered on 5 July 2018. We paid just over $3,000.00 for it. To our great misfortune, at some point yesterday/evening it died without any warning/indication there was a problem. The lights work; the gauges appear to function; it just appears to be warming the items within now. Of course the couple hundred $$ worth of food within... I guess that is another reason why we have dumps. Im in my 60s and have never in my life owned; seen or have knowledge of anyones refrigerator failing in such a short period of time, and without the slightest indication it was going to fail. I simply cannot recommend LG to anyone. They simply do not last, which makes them junk.

When my ancient Whirlpool washer finally died in the fall of 2012, we decided it was time for an upgrade. My partner found a good deal via a big-box retailer for an LG washer and dryer... good stuff, right? From day one, the dryer has been nothing but an albatross around our necks. Almost immediately it begin to fail after only a few uses. The rather abrupt LG technicians kept stating that our venting system was to blame. We cleaned it carefully and still had problems. Finally, an independent technician suggested we route the vent directly to the outside, which we did. Never mind the built-in vent system worked adequately with our old dryer... Well play the game. Finally, the dryer seemed to work well.Recently, my daughter was preparing to dry her clothes and noted that one of the electrical breakers had flipped due to the dryer activation. We re-flipped the breaker and the dryer was activated but did not dry. Nothing like a little midnight unloading of wet clothes and rigging a temporary clothesline, eh? Of course, we contacted LG and received the standard line Did you check your vent? We did receive a technician referral but of course no service call until Monday, so we experienced a pioneer lifestyle with our clothing needs for the weekend. No real problem, just a hassle. The friendly technician spent approximately five minutes finding the problem, a burned wiring harness. Yep, parts to be ordered and over $300.00 in repairs. The technician remarked that it is wise to stay away from LG, Samsung, and Kenmore appliances as they contain substandard parts. He didnt have to tell me twice. Ill fix this thing, of course. And then Ill go shopping for a good AMERICAN brand like I should have done in the first place. Moral of the story, STAY AWAY FROM LG!

Our refrigerator (model # LMXS30776S) is just over 3 1/2 years old, and this will now be the 7th time we’ve had it fail. Just last month, we had to have the ice maker replaced because of a leak. Five months ago, the evaporator, drier and ice maker assemblies were replaced as it was not cooling. The year before that we had to have the compressor and evaporator replaced along with a repair to the ice maker, losing a vast majority of our food in the process. Now, not only is the ice maker not working, but the fridge won’t cool below 52 degrees. Based on all of the complaints and class action lawsuits that have surfaced, this is a widespread problem that needs to be remedied. History would suggest that we will be in the same position in another 6 months down the road. LG needs to be held liable for the damages caused to their customers.

I am a neat freak when it comes to my appliances, I use an aluminum tray at the bottom of my oven to catch spills, etc. We had our stove for 6-7 years, I used the self clean option for the first time today. The sides, where the metal shelving are held is rusted. The coating on the bottom of the oven cracked & sections rusted, the metal sheeting is also warped. Like others, I bought LG because of the reputation that Consumer Reports said. Obviously they didnt test the stove long enough or use it the way a real homeowner would use it, and here we paid close to $1800 for our glass top stove and it cant last 10 years. Evaporator defrost cycle and drain hole freeze up: LG design flaw allows ice build-up, which in turn leads to fan damage or stoppage that stops cold air from reaching the upper section. If this condition is not corrected by unplugging the drain hole, the water that normally goes down into the catch pan to be evaporated away ends up dripping through the bottom freezer cooling vents and freezing to the bottom freezer floor. The only way to correct this is to remove the back plastic cover and expose the evaporator coil where the ice build-up must be melted and removed, along with defrosting the drain hole so that water is allowed to flow freely again. Attach a small copper wire to the heating line, which is just under the evaporator coil, and thread it down into the drain hole. This will help to keep the hole open by transferring some heat to the drain hole during the defrost cycle, thus melting any ice that has built up during the cooling cycle. There are some excellent YouTube instructions online on how to remove all the plastic parts without doing damage. Good luck.

I hope there are some lawyers out there with similar failure of their fridge and consider a class action law suit against LG Electronics. LG Top Loader WA48J7700A - I purchased this washer last month and hate this machine! Not only does it not fill with enough water to cover the clothes, it doesnt even put enough water in to get all the clothes wet! When I look at the little bit of water that IS in the machine, it is dirty. I wondered, how does the little agitation in this dirty water get the clothes clean?? Oh! It doesnt! Today I am done! I am looking at a white shirt that is dirtier than when it was put in the washer (yes it was a light color load). I have noticed this before, along with dry spots on clothes after being washed! There is also often white streaks (detergent residue?) left on dark clothes. After reading other reviews that sound JUST LIKE MINE, I realize this is an ongoing problem (perhaps with all these energy efficient top loaders this is an issue?) I had a front loader prior to this machine and it too used little water but more than this does! And, the way a front loader works, the clothes were always moving unlike this machine where they almost stay put! On the phone right now with Home Depot to get this lousy machine out of my life!!! Im going back to a good old fashioned top loader that fills with water and washes the clothes!!!

Ive been trying for a month to get service on my dishwasher. Although the 1 year warranty is gone, the board is warrantied for 5 years. First time I called LG they gave me 2 phone numbers for 3rd party service in my area. I called them several times and never got a call back. I set out to look for my own 3rd party service and contact Sears because they advertise that theyll fix any appliance whether you purchased it from them or not. The repairman showed up this morning and told me that Id have to call LG to get approval from them to have Sears be the 3rd party vendor. The service fee would be $99. That was OK with me.I called LG and was told that they had a local LG authorized service in my city. I got transferred and spoke with them. I was told that they would schedule a repair if I paid $125 up front and then the charge me for the installation of the part (which was free). That would have amounted to over 30% of the total original cost of the machine. I have no idea what to do now. I was able to submit an email to service to see if I get a better answer. Regarding other reviews about how dishes stack inside the washer, I have to agree. I always had issues with glasses breaking because they fell over. I change the way I put them in. The thing I liked about the dishwasher was the short Turbo cycle. It was 58 minutes and did a good job. If you buy an LG Dishwasher be sure to purchase the extended warranty.

The washer has been nothing but trouble from day 1. The tray gets mold and mildew buildup behind it and thats with leaving the tray open as well as the door. About every 5 or 6 loads, the OE message appears and no matter how many times its been cleaned, the same thing. Actually, as Im typing right now, I just heard the old faithful ding ding ding and looked over, only to find the OE blaring as usual. LG should recall these horrible machines. I also bought the dryer and lower drawers and have to run the dryer twice most times to get my clothes dry. The smell is horrible and my children have allergies. I think this machine may be making us sick.

Unbalanced Flaw UE - LG Front Loader Extra Capacity - Paid way too much to get extra capacity - would love to have my basic front loader back! Extra capacity is worthless if you cant get the load to spin & finish because of the UE code. Ive had to throw away pillows I washed. No problem in my last machine, because this way overpriced LG wouldnt spin it - not alone, not with other items, not after being wrung out, hung to drip dry, not on low spin - NOTHING. The True Balancer is a joke - it is directly causing the problem. What good is an EXTRA CAPACITY washing machine, if you cant wash more than a normal load in it anyway? The time Ive wasted standing in front of this machine, hoping *this time* it would spin, rebalancing items by hand - makes me sick to think how much we paid for this piece of junk. Good luck with customer service - they said there is no recall even though there is post after post of the same UE complaint, and they *might* call me back once the customer service person logs my complaint. Never asked me for any contact info so Im not sure how that will happen...

Spent almost $3000 less than 3 years ago on a refrigerator. On April 7 it just quit cooling.... I understand things happen but the customer service I received trying to get it repaired was terrible!! I finally had to file a Better Business Bureau complaint to get a buy back. But I went over 2 months without a fridge. 2 months of dealing with LG who really cared less about my issues. There is a class action lawsuit happening. LG do the right thing and recall the fridges instead of putting people through this headache. Picture is the fridge going to the landfill.

Like thousands of other LG Refrigerator victims my new LG model LSXS26366S died. I had to throw out over $200.00 worth of fresh food, spent another $1000 on repairs. I called LG speaking to call centers overseas trained to kill you with kindness as they provide no help. Then had to pay a local company to look at it, the technicians said I hate to tell you youre screwed sir, a sealed system failure. Compressor. Then LG on the 4th day arranged a company that showed up in the 1970 tiny pickup truck, they do not accept credit cards cash only- yup sealed system failure that will be another $89.00 bucks. $1,100 to fix it. The Federal Trade Commission is allowing LG Electronics USA to continue to rip-off Americans. LG is aware of their defective compressors & systems. I was told they are back ordered in Korea, could be 2 months before parts become available. A Class Action Lawsuit must be filed to protect Honest Americans from this company. Furthermore - If your large retail chain store is selling LG appliances - YOU ARE RIPPING OFF Your customers.

Bought the LG Top Load Washer and Dryer in February and the worst mistake Ive ever made. I hate the washer, it is not efficient, and does not get my clothes clean. Never fails I get the UE error and always having to readjust my laundry only to find I have to do it again. If I dont pre-spot all stains they will not come out. I spend more time restarting and waiting for laundry to finish than anything else. I will never buy a LG product again. I hate this machine so much I wish I didnt have to give it a star. BTW spent the last 3 hrs trying to wash one set of queen size sheets.

Poor quality and terrible customer service. We purchased new refrigerator one year ago to go in vacation home. After 6 months of light use, compressor on ice maker went out. Have been trying to get it repaired since February to no avail. Custom service at LG is a total joke! They keep saying they have contacted a repairman but I never hear from the person and when I try to call repairman, I get an unidentifiable voicemail and my calls/messages are never returned. Four times, I have asked LG to contact a different repair person, but they keep calling the same guy back. They are now hinting that my warranty is close to lapsing, but I have been trying to get the repair completed since there were four months left on the warranty period. If you want aggravation in your life purchase LG, if not, purchase Sub Zero or KitchenAid. Ive owned both and never had a problem.

We had our new fridge for about 2 years before it started not keeping things cold. We called for a repair. We have the extended warranty through Home Depot. They called right away set up an appointment, repair guy showed up said the cooling fan in back was going and possibly the compressor, he would order parts and be back. 2 weeks later he came back replaced the fan but did not replace the compressor, he said it was a costly and Timely repair and that the fridge is working fine now.2 weeks later we woke up in the morning to find water all over the kitchen floor and our floor buckled. We have the LG lfx229766s with fuel ice makers so there was a lot of water. We called customer service on 7/1/20 it is now 7/12/20 and we cant even get service to call for an appointment. When you call for service you get someone with broken English telling you that the service company will call, which they dont. Bottom line is that I bought the fridge and the warranty from home depot so I called them. They called the warranty and got the same results. They did offer to loan us a small fridge if we pick it up. So we still are without a fridge with no end in sight. DO NOT BUY AN LG FRIDGE OR EXTENDED WARRANTY or youll be in the same fix and dont expect any help from Home Depot.

We purchased an entire kitchen of LG appliances in July 2010. Double oven, dishwasher, cooktop and fridge all have needed repairs within the first year. The LF25976 fridge has multiple issues, but the most pervasive is the ice maker not working. I usually research major purchases thoroughly, but I let my wife choose. I purchased an LG refrigerator 2 years ago. I listened to the guy at Home Depot and took his recommendation. Two weeks ago my refrigerator stopped cooling. A few days later an LG certified repair guy showed up and right away said he had to order a part in order to complete the repair. One week after the refrigerator stopped working the LG repairman serviced the unit unsuccessfully and LG executive department was unwilling to give any sort of credit for the labor portion of the bill. 10 days after the refrigerator stopped working the same LG repairman came to service the fridge again. This time it started to get a little cooler, approx 52-degree, but never got lower than that. Yesterday, over two weeks into the refrigerator not working the repairman did a third service on the refrigerator. Today I woke up to a 70-degree temperature inside my refrigerator.I contacted LG in hopes they would give me some sort of helpful resolution to this issue. The first guy I spoke with said after 3 unsuccessful repairs I might be eligible for compensation toward a new refrigerator. After 1 hour on the phone he transferred me to the executive department and the guy on the other end said no to a replacement, but that hed schedule another service...NEXT WEEK. Three weeks without a working refrigerator, three unsuccessful service calls, hundreds of dollars spend on labor, hundreds of dollars spend on food that went bad, hundreds of dollars spent on meals out (that would have normally been lower cost meals made at home), and very rude executive department. Needless to say, I will NEVER purchase an LG product again. Not just because of the product, but because their customer service STINKS! They have zero accountability and once you hit the executive department they are trained to say NO and treat you like garbage. If you try and ask for someone more senior they tell you to write a letter to a PO box in Huntsville Alabama. In this day and age where groceries can be delivered in an hour, parts can be shipped overnight, there is no reason someone should go without a working essential item like a refrigerator.

Well LG you have a lot on your plate right now and thousands of consumers without refrigerators due to your faulty compressor problems. Mine has been out since last Wednesday and LG cannot find anyone to service their product even their LG technicians aren’t available. Living out of 3 coolers and had to buy a box freezer. Now on my way to buy a used refrigerator because not knowing how long this issue is going to take! Was reassured that I would be reimbursed for buying the box freezer, food spoilage and old refrigerator. My case was sent to regional manager and being review while being told I’d be called back in 3 to 5 business days with a resolution to replace or give me my money back if I pass the review and if they cannot find anyone to come out and fix it. I don’t want to ever own another LG product let alone have them come out and replace the compressor with the same faulty issues to have it break down again in which it would. I also have a 1,000 dollar LG dishwasher and 6 months ago the top digital touch board went out! 1 year later! They replaced that and praying it doesn’t go out again. So now playing the waiting game. Don’t buy LG. Appliances will never be made the same way that they were years ago in the 70’s and 80’s to last a lifetime. I have reviewed just about every brand out there and all I find is garbage reviews!! What the hell can you buy that’s reliable anymore!

He suggested that we cut our losses and purchase a different brand. I bought an LG Dishwasher in October of 2017. In March of 2019 (less than a year and a half later), the electrical control panel stopped working so I was unable to use the product. Since it was 5 months past the warranty, I was charged $135.31 for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. I was informed that I would then have to pay for the repair and labor after the technician ordered the new part. When the technician arrived, he had a new electronic control panel (so he already knew what the problem was before even looking at the dishwasher) and told me that I would not be charged for the repair or labor because this was such a common problem - that they had the NEW MODIFIED electrical control panels in stock. He said that in the NEW MODIFIED control panels, they have added a moisture barrier because in the old version, moisture from steam would get into the control panel and ruin the electrical system. I asked him why there hasnt been a recall on this product since it was so common, and he said that he didnt know why but there has been a Service Bulletin released regarding this same issue. I then called customer service to get a refund of the $135.31 that I already paid, and they would not give a refund even after being escalated to a supervisor. I asked to be escalated again and was informed that he could not do that. I tried to call the President of the company and got no answer and no way of leaving a VM or email. Considering this is a COMMON DEFECT in the product and a modified control panel has been created for this issue, there should be a recall and all expenses paid. I want my refund of $135.31 since this was LGs defective product and not anything that I could control! A complaint with the BBB has been filed and I will continue to let people know that they should stay away from LG products.

I purchased an LG top load washing machine and have been completely unsatisfied since the day I bought it. My clothes suddenly smell. I was told that is because on newer machines the drain is closer to the clothes, if that makes sense. The drain pump has broken twice. It is not a part that is in stock, so we often have to wait for the part to get it before the machine can be fixed. It also has the off balance problem that many have already mentioned. It is hard to get it balanced. Obviously, this washing machine has a defect with the drain. They should take responsibility and replace it, but are not willing. I would echo what others have said already--do not buy LG.

We join the ranks of U.S. consumers writing to bring awareness of the fact that LG is not supporting their warranty for refrigerators that have cooling failure. After working with the company directly for 35 days, they still have not come through. There’s no hope in sight. The refrigerator is 4 yrs. old, costing $3,500. Model number LMXS30776S, 29.7 cu. Ft. French Door-In-Door Stainless Steel w/ Custom Chill Drawer. It was 9 days for them to find a company for servicing. LG scheduled, cancelled 3 appointments. We waited 23 days more, no one showed up today. The service company, A&E and LG blame each other, we are in the middle. Failure to show up for servicing is a common problem amongst consumers. If you read any “canned” response after this complaint, for us to call LG directly, been there. We write because of their epic fails. We are at a financial loss in time, our initial investment and food. I have never seen a company behave so badly. I don’t understand why companies continue to sell LG. We hope someone with authority will hold LG accountable, put a stop to them selling unsupported, defective product in the U. S.

I WAS in love with my new fridge. The 25 cu ft. capacity is just the right size for my family of 5. (We also have a deep chest freezer for handling all the meat, icecream tubs, etc). The dual ice makers really come in handy when the ice maker on the door cannot handle the load. (Its quite small, so in summer months, or with guest over, you run out of ice quickly). It has plenty of space and looks gorgeous. Flash forward 4 months 2 weeks later... compressor goes out. I call LG about this issue... and the frustration begins. The incompetent reps on phone tell me that the reason my fridge is not cooling is because I have the temp setting at 2 degrees instead of at 0 degrees for the freezer, and 37 degrees instead of 35 for the upper portion. Ok, a whole two degrees will make my fridge cool. Then they went on to perform this gimmicky smart diagnoses that the unit is equipped with. She did not want to sent a technician out because the smart dx told her that there was nothing wrong with the fridge. Meanwhile there is water all over my kitchen floor because all the ice was thawing and melting out of the unit. I called on a wed. On a Friday a certified LG tech came out. Told me the compressor is dead and that it would be Monday before he could repair it. So now I have been without a fridge for days, with 3 young children in the house.I have called LG and voiced the fact that this is unacceptable for a 2k fridge. The rep proceeded to tell me I would only have to pay for service call! How is it that when you are still under warranty you have to pay for the service call? The technician shook his head in dismay. He could not believe what he was seeing. I placed the call on speaker for him to listen to the ridiculousness by the rep. After my unit seemed defective, I went online and have read tons of reviews on LG fridges needing major repair within the year, and am afraid I was sold a lemon. I want a replacement or my money back. They have not contacted me. I have called and have been hung up on. I was also hung up on, right in front of the technician! You think you are buying a nice piece from a reputable trustworthy company, and the fact is all the contrary. I am so disappointed.

We purchased all brand new top of the line LG products 3 years ago. A few months ago the ice machine stopped working and I contacted LG support and they went thru all the steps and unable to fix but I lived with it as it was only an inconvenience. Based on the research I have done, LG was quite aware that within months of the ice maker going the fridge compressor would fail. They never mentioned this once. After losing hundreds of dollars of food, I reached out to LG which advised to have a repairman come. For $125 he came and as soon as he saw the make and model he advised LG has a known issue which they refuse to correct and have a class action lawsuit against them. He offered to repair but the part is @ $800 and to top it off they would put the same faulty part back in which will also inevitably fail. I found out after I did purchase a 10 year part warranty and LG set up a repair appointment with their contractor for a week later. The day before the appointment I received a reminder and a request to call the company, A & E, if parts were not already delivered. I was told the parts were not being delivered until the day after the repair appointment? Both LG and their contractor A&E customer service were unhelpful and kept blaming each other for the issue. I was promised numerous phone calls with no timely response or resolution. I took off of work to wait for a repairman who cant repair anything and are being told the next available appointment is in another 2 weeks? I have 3 children at home and no way to keep any food for them. I did not complain when the icemaker failed nor request compensation for the lost food because the appointment for repairs was scheduled. Now because of the lack of support and the incompetency of LG, I will be pursuing all the expenses including the several meals which needed to be purchased from restaurants. All LG needed to do was accept the fact they manufactured a poor product and resolve the issue and I would still be a supporter for the company. The deceit and unwillingness to fix their mistake is unacceptable. I am still waiting without a refrigerator and hoping the other LG products in my home, double oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer do not break.

After reading all these reviews, and after my own experience, I am very surprised, that this company is still on market. I bought my french door refrigerator LFX31945ST on July 2014 from Home Depot. On October 2014 it stopped working for a first time. Er rF code appeared. Called LG, they sent a technician. He showed me that ice build up behind the rear panel and blocked fan. He blamed us (or whoever installed the fridge) for not removing the plastic foil from the rear, which could cause this problem. Exactly after one year in October 2015 the same problem - first fan started making noise, and after two days eR rF code. Called LG (thanks God, I bought extended warranty), technician came, replaced few parts, said everything should be OK. Since then, literally every month we had this pattern - fan noisy - eR rf code, technician replaced some parts (I get lost what he replaced), said everything now should be fine, next month fan noisy....etc, etc. Finally, when I started demanding money back and mentioned that next time my lawyer will talk with you, they sent a third company, who following instruction on the phone from, I guess, LG, altered some settings, and in November 2016 they fixed it. Refrigerator worked over the year without any problems. We hoped our problems are over. Not so fast! In July 2018 refrigerator stopped cooling, no error code appeared, just we see the water one morning and thawed food. Called HOME Depot, they sent LG technician, who said that everything with the refrigerator is OK, and it got defrost because we did not close the door properly (!). OK, we believed in that, especially since this one morning refrigerator seemed to work OK. Not so long, after ~ four weeks again the same. Again, LG technician said we did not close the door properly, and we put too much food (!!). Home Depot protection plan refused to cover spoiled food, because technician did not find any failure. OK, that was enough, I started very closely monitoring temperature inside, and noticed that it is consistently higher than it should be (nearly room temperature in refrigerator compartment, and around 34F in the fridge. OK, called Home Depot third time. They sent a third company. After two weeks or so, several cancelled appointments, etc technician showed up and after 15 seconds staring at the refrigerator said that drainage (or something like this) needs to be replaced (very peculiar way of diagnosing). It took another month to order a part, schedule an appointment, etc, and when finally he appeared with part, he said that refrigerator is not fixable. The same day I got the phone call from Home Depot that they will send LG technician to confirm this diagnosis. The same LG technician appeared and said that compressor needs to be replaced. Again, waiting two weeks (only two weeks) for part, and refrigerator was fixed in October 2018. Two weeks ago fan started making noise, and today morning eR rF code appeared. Called Home Depot this morning...To sum up: when Home Depot protection plan expires I will throw away this piece of junk and buy new one, from different manufacturer. I will do may best to get my money back from LG or Home Depot, because in my opinion this fridge was inherently broken from the beginning. I will closely watch what is going on with that class action. STAY AWAY FROM LG REFRIGERATOR, otherwise you will soon write review similar to mine and hundreds of others on this webpage.

Often I have to wash a 2nd time. Today was the icing on the cake. It overflowed and flooded 3 rooms. I put it on pause and opened the lid, and it started draining water. I let it finish then turned it OFF and it went back to draining even more water in OFF. I pulled the plug and ready to send it off a cliff. NO MORE LG for me. First and last time!! I wont bother getting it fixed since I can tell that will be a waste of more money on a cruddy product.

Our front load LG washer began giving us problems 8 months from purchase. I called LG twice and they recommended unplugging the unit to reset the computer. The machine would work after waiting 6-8 hrs. Eventually, that did not work and repair was needed. The repair men discover two tears in the rubber gasket that were caused by metal clips below that had 1) sharp edges and 2) placed too near the gasket. Over the year of use, the tears occurred and dripped onto the thermistor. It was a manufacturing/quality issue, even supported by the repair man and discussed with their technician at LG who agreed and took notes. LG refused to pay for the repair because it was outside the warranty period. They were disrespectful on the phone and emailing exchange kept sticking to company line of outside the warranty period. Good companies stick by their workmanship. I believe they can make good machines. Mine was a lemon and they couldnt care less.

We bought the LG LMXS30776S refrigerator in early 2017 and it was working okay (it did make louder than expected noises most of its short life) until December 15, 2019 when we woke up one morning to a trail of water on the floor and all of our food ruined. We paid for someone to come out to tell us that it was a dead compressor and to contact LG for a replacement part.An LG tech came out and replaced the compressor, and while the freezer worked, the fridge portion remained at room temperature. He came back the next day to fix it again, but the fridge did not get below 42 degrees. An LG contracted appliance repair company then came out and determined that new parts (fridge evaporator and another compressor) were required. They returned a week later and replaced the compressor again along with the fridge evaporator, but after they left nothing worked at all.The LG tech came out again and got fridge half-working again (still does not go below 42), but the freezer is still not functioning. LG tech now says we can get a new fridge due to multiple visits, but the LG customer service says their tech needs to say it is not repairable and why and the tech is not willing to make that call for us. We have now initiated the replacement request process three times (each time takes 3-5 days) the first two times weve waited a week only to find out they messed up the paperwork and had to start again. Weve been without a fully functioning fridge/freezer for over 6 weeks. Weve wasted hundreds of dollars on food that got spoiled. The LG refrigerator is an utter disappointment, as is their customer service.

I purchased an LG refrigerator from ABC Warehouse on 5/24/15. On 6/3/16 my refrigerator stopped keeping things cold and the blower fan stopped working. We purchased an extended warranty for this item and was referred to an appliance repair company that ABC dealt with. On 6/7/16 the company finally came out and they determined what parts they needed to order. It is 6/19/16 and my refrigerator is still not repaired. Its ridiculous that I spent over $3000 on this refrigerator just to have it stop operating one week after the manufactures warranty. To matters worst I purchased an LG washer and dryer 10/15/15 only to have the washer and dryer both need repair work done. I am currently waiting on parts for the washer and since the repair man was out the dryer is now making a noise and is need of service. I will never purchase an LG appliance again. When you spend thousand of dollars on an appliance you expect it to last longer than 6 months.

I purchased my LG refrigerator Lfx31925sw/00 in 2012, paid 2700 bucks for it from Best Buy. After about six months I started to have problems with it. I called LG and they did some repairs on it. It worked for a little while. They had to come back out to do more repairs. This went on several times until the warranty ran out so I had to purchase a second warranty and finally LG sent another company out to work on it. They had several tries at it. Now that warranty is up and still not fixed I try to call customer service. They put me on hold over one hour, they never answered the phone. And to top it off this refrigerator is involved in a class action suit which hasnt helped me. Here it is 2017. This Refrigerator is a Korean company. Must be North Korea. All I can say is DO NOT BUY LG. You will regret it.

I am SOOO disappointed with my LG experience. We have a refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer. We have had problems with ALL of them, but the worst with the fridge and oven. We even have trouble with our LG Tv and Blu-ray player! I thought we made a smart decision with choosing LG 7 years ago, because they were the latest technology and trend. My best friend had bought all LG the year before and was happy with it. But then the problems start (even with her). I have way too much to say if I speak of all the products, so I will focus on the fridge. The fridge stopped cooling with no warning whatsoever when it was 4 years old. We had to scramble to get a couple coolers with ice to save all our groceries.I called LG but they wanted to charge an outrageous amount just for the service call, about $80 and they said that doesnt include fixing it. So if their estimate would be too high and I would want to go with someone else, they still get $80. So I called a local company who specializes in LG. Their service fee was only $25. They came out and said it was either the compressor or a relay. If it is the compressor, it would be about $800, which is half the price of my $1600 fridge. Thankfully it was the relay, which was $125. But they can only guarantee the part for one year. Worst of all, they didnt have the part on hand and had to order it. We lived with no fridge, out of a cooler, for 3 weeks!Sure enough, 2 years later, same thing happens right when we return from vacation. Thank God it didnt happen while we were away! So once again, everything is melting and we have to scramble to save the food. This time they put a stronger relay, so it was $150, plus the $25 service fee, and they happened to have it, so the silver lining was we only lived out of a cooler for two days. But the tech said the compressor is extremely weak and I am lucky if I get another year or two max out of the fridge before it dies. At that point the fridge was only 6 and a half years old!! I simply dont have the energy to fight with LG because of all the bad reviews I see on the customer service. So I want to warn all the consumers out there to prevent this from happening to them. Choose another brand. On a side note, my stove/oven stopped working 6 weeks after the fridge went out the first time. Great timing lol. The digital panel stopped working after the numbers started fading months before. Well, because its digital, you cant turn anything on. I wish I still had the old school one with the knobs because the digital panel cost $250! Thats half the price of the oven. And of course only one year guarantee on the part. Thankfully, its been almost three years and so far so good. But if it happens again, I dont want to invest that much again into this piece of junk. How can LG be okay with doing business this way?! And of course this stuff happens once its out of warranty. We live paycheck to paycheck, so when this stuff happens, it really hurts us. We thought investing in high end products would pay off in the end, but we worked hard to pay off over $5,000 over a few years and got screwed :-(. I did not get extended warranties because I believe if the company makes good products I shouldnt need to. What happened to products lasting?? I sound like my mother lol but they really dont make things with pride, like they used to. Her 20 year old fridge is still going strong! If LG sees this, they should offer me some kind of credit out of good faith, but I have low expectations. At least I can warn the innocent consumers who work hard for their money.

The LG refrigerator belonged to one of my family members. Im assuming they got it because of its sleek design and functionality. It matched well with the other appliances in their kitchen as well. It worked extremely well and had great, convenient compartments. The display on the water/ice dispenser was attractive. I honestly really liked the fridge and there was nothing that I would have changed. It was a perfect fridge. The fridge had everything I would ever want and need in a fridge and more. There was nothing that I disliked about the appliance.

Purchased an LG Side by Side the year it hit the market in 2016. Ive makes stopped working in 2017. Not a big deal because Ive is cheap and easy to make. In January 2019 I discovered that the refrigerator had completely stopped working. Unit was purchased from HH Gregg which has since closed down, leaving me no option but to contact LG directly. It is now well into April - 3 compressors and multiple technicians later - unit still does not work. The latest compressor was put in 2.5 weeks ago. The technician told LG techs that day that the unit was beyond repair and needed to be replaced as a lemon. LGs solution was to schedule the same tech to come back to my home on 4/16 with no new parts of instructions. On top of losing enough groceries to feed our family of six, now we have to added expense of a rented refrigerator. The useless unit is taking up the majority of my dining room. Calling their consumer line is a joke since all you get is a call center with absolutely no knowledge or authority. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT give these people your money. They have absolutely no interest in repeat business so they are perfectly willing to sell you defective products with complete disregard.

Purchased this top load LG washer 4 years ago. Problems with the performance: Takes too long to do a small or medium load. Washer does not balance the load. Sheets and other large items cover the smaller clothes and they never get clean. Machine Quality. Washer LID BROKE APART for no reason. Will not close at all now which means I cannot use the machine. I contacted LG and complained gave me a case #. Never called me back. When I contacted them they said that the warranty was only for a year. Had to order a new LID for $200 which I have not received yet. Not sure if the expense for the LID was a good idea. The problem will most likely happen again. $700 for this machine was a WASTE of hard earned money. WILL NEVER BUY ANY LG PRODUCT AGAIN.

The micro is good. The front of the fan tray is broken because of the heat. It appears as steel but it is plastic. There is no way to fix it without buying a new unit. I called the homeowners insurance. The technician said that nothing can be done. This microwave costs $375 plus $135 for installation. Very disappointed.

LG fridge, a piece of junk. I purchased my refrigerator on Oct 2010 and have had service done on it 5 or 6 times by 3 different companies. I have been living out of a cooler for the last two weeks, which is not the first time and I feel that I need a new refrigerator or my money back to buy from a company that knows how to make a repair.

I have had this LG FRENCH DOOR LFX31945ST refrigerator less than a year. It has been noisy since they delivered it but when I brought it up to the tech that had come back to replace the freezer door b/c of discoloration....he made it sound as though the compressors just make more noise in the new ones. So I thought, ok... I will give it some time... Well, as time went on, the noise got louder and louder. I can actually hear it buzzing and whining over my television in the Living Room (so many random noises off and on thru day, I couldnt possibly describe them all). So I call servicing dealer back and tell them still loud and seems to be constantly running. I also discovered while I was researching others complaints that there has been a problem with back wall icing up, so I looked and yes back wall completely iced over.Tech said he hadnt heard of any of these being problems, but Then he heard noise and saw ice. So he ordered new back panel, defrost control and module. When parts came in, he replaced everything. Less than 8 days later, still whining and other noises and now developed a bad smell/very bad smell that when fridge was opened would take over entire kitchen and living room area. By the time tech comes, the smell is not detectable b/c it dissipates over time, only to come back randomly. He denotes no problem found b/c noises werent as loud as they can be when he is here, even though I still think its louder than it s/b. At this point we are very frustrated to spend this kind of money and have so many problems is sickening. Problems continue and I call again, service comes out and back wall icing over again. Tech hears the loud noises (high pitch whine has become a constant, loud sounding fans and an occasional clunky sound) and the SMELL is back. Tech now has witnessed everything. He gets on phone w/ LG and he is told we must have introduced the smell. REALLY! I know we have not but we are advised to try charcoal like for a fish tank filter. I tell the tech that Im concerned b/c warranty is up in June and how do I know if he reorders everything hes replaced once that it wont continue to be a problem later. It had to be an inherent problem and what is LG gonna do about it. I feel they should extend warranty or give me replacement fridge. He did his best to tell LG that they need to do something more... Their solution is its fixable so they reorder everything again (back panel, defrost control and module main). I call customer service to voice my concerns and ask about extending warranty, to ensure this problem actually gets fixed. I am read some script that is obviously told to every customer and the Supervisor I spoke with was not nice. He had a nasty disposition and offered me no resolutions. He just made me angrier. So parts arrived and another tech comes to install the parts. It has been around 9 days and guess what? SMELL is back, noises are worse than they were before this last service call and ice is beginning to build up on the back wall again. So here we go again. I am going to call again, wait again to be notified morning of service call and given a 2-hr window of when they will be here (so I cant plan anything for that day b/c no specific time for service call). Another day wasted, more aggravation and I am fairly confident the problem wont be resolved. Instead I will be advised to purchase an additional warranty coverage since mine expires in June. I am not looking forward to complaining to customer service again b/c, well Ive seen how they treat customers and their philosophy is the customer is always a nuisance and they wont help me at all. So here we go, I will place call and waste another day. Do yourself a favor and dont buy this product, no matter how much you love the lighting, the door in door feature and the versatility of the shelves inside... Trust me - not worth the headache. Oh and not real stainless steel.

It's just a truly functional dryer without any issues, going on six years of service. Does a good job every time. All dryers today have multiple settings that the older models didn't have. This LG dryer has those too but they remain practical settings for any material you may want to dry in it.
