I bought the LG wp2060R which is suppose to be a 17 kg washload machine... as the largest LG I have bought, I thought it better for a larger wash load... but the spin dry section is where the problem is... you need to spend too much time balancing the clothes to get the spin dryer to operate properly. Its frustrating it happens with all those highspeed spin driers but the larger capacity machines are the worst. LG as a leading brand need to rectify this problem quickly to take some of the extended stress out of laundering. Its very frustrating. I have neighbours who bought the same model and are frustrated with the same problem. (Trying to be diplomatic even though I desire to use some adjectives to express my frustration with this problem.) We would like to just transfer the wash to the spin and just start without any time consuming adjustments. Thank you.

The LG washer WT7100C leaves a soap residue, lint, hair etc. on all dark clothes washed. I use a timy amount of liquid soap, on third brand, re wash with no soap on speed cycle and may come out with clean clothes. I called the company and they sent a repairmen out who has seen the same problem before, replaced all boards, checked all fittings, etc. all to no difference in cleaning. The washer is 15 months old and I would throw it if I could lift it!!! Just purchased a Samsung for another house I own and have no problems with it. A pleasure to use.

We bought this washing machine from Pacific Sales in March of 2011. I leave the door opened after washing. I dry the inside after each wash! I clean the filter at least once a week. The water coming from the filter is rancid. There is mold continually growing on the inside of the rim of the tank. The machine smells like mold, even a week after using the sanitize function with vinegar. I have called LG so many times I cant even keep track anymore. Each time they say have you called before? Are you kidding? They know my name and number from the number I dial from but dont know that I have called before? This is the worst service I have ever received. Bottom line.. I will never buy anything from LG ever again.

Recd LG washer on Feb 07 from Lg warehouse. Around 4 PM Complaint to HD (we purchase from Cambridge store). On Feb 08 that washer front door is leaking. When we spoke to LG they ask us to troubleshoot the washer by doing a tub cycle. We question why we should be doing all this when in fact its a brand new washer which came directly from your warehouse, (CSR are horrible and rude). LG then said they will send a tech out to look at it. We cant have it replace since their policy is complaint must be file with 48 hrs. Our complaint was file with 24 hours. Today is Mar 03 and I still have a leaking washer. LG service are extremely Poor. Products are Inferior. Will never purchase or recommend LG appliance. Dont waste your money. Life is Grief. Thats what LG motto should be.

After only 5 years the compressor on my LG French door refrigerator has failed (LFC25776). Although the cost of a replacement compressor is covered under warranty we will have to pay for the labor and the service technician informed us that the replacement compressor will only be covered for 90 days. We have lost all the food in the refrigerator. We just purchased another 100 pounds of ice for the cooler. I had designed my kitchen around this new refrigerator and purchased all new LG appliances. After reading the complaints about LG I have decided to buy a new refrigerator NOT A LG. I hope an LG representative reads these complaints and reaches out to consumers -- the product looks great -- unfortunately does not last.

Bought a new white side by side LG refrigerator about 1 1/2 years ago from a local big box retailer. The plastic trim pieces around the electronic controls/water dispenser/ice dispenser have turned yellow. The refrigerator is bright white and the large bezel and drain plate is now a disgusting yellow. I first tried to resolve the matter with an online chat representative who was absolutely clueless. She couldnt even figure out what parts they were on her schematic. She finally gave up and had me complete an online upload form with pictures that I had to take. She said she would call me back after I uploaded the form. I uploaded the form with pictures and after two days no response. So I did another online chat with another agent. I gave her my case number and all she said is Sorry its out of warranty. She gave me the phone number of their parts distributor for the Eastern USA and the girl who answered the phone instantly put me on hold and never came back. This is ridiculous! The trim pieces are about $180.00. So, dont ever buy a white LG refrigerator and if you would like customer assistance on their product - Dont buy an LG Refrigerator.

This is the second microwave of this model. The first one worked fine for a year - until a few days after the warranty ran out. It was cheaper to buy a new one than to have it repaired, so we bought a new one because it matched the rest of our LG appliances. This one lasted less than 3 months. Home Depot requires 3 repair attempts before they wil take it back (even though we have the extended service plan on this one), so we got in touch with LG again. The same repair man came out and took it apart and put it back together again, saying he couldnt find what the problem was. It worked after that - for 1 day. When I called the repair company again, the tech said he would contact LG for us and get it taken care of. He did contact them, but we have only heard from them once to request more paperwork. Still waiting for the follow-up call a week later to get a refund. I will never buy another LG microwave. Very disappointed in their customer service.

I love the LG Refrigerator but the filter in the ice maker is not efficient
I love the LG Refrigerator but the filter in the ice maker is not efficient and wont filter right. A guy that works for my son bought one that was almost identical to ours, and they were talking one day and he was having the same problem. Everything was taken out from that ice maker and replaced but still, nothing. We kept doing little tests here and there with the ice and it was the water filter that you put inside the door. I noticed that when the rep came out and put it in that it was very small. We had to pay 200 and some dollars for an ice maker and the ice has not been used for the first three months that we’ve had the refrigerator. Dean asked for 10 filters and the lady he talked to said no but she said that she would send five of them. She typed in the wrong numbers and sent the whole assembly where you put the filter in. There was nothing wrong with where the filter fits in and we saved that. We were gonna try to send it back if she’ll send us 5 or 10 filters. That would get us by. Its kinda unfair for us to have to spend that on a filter, replace the filters in that one every year, and then have to do the inside ones too that dont even work. He wrote her back and she has not even responded to us. Im kind of dissatisfied because its costing us a lot of money to keep it. Weve had the brand new refrigerator and had to go buy ice to put in the bottom of it because we couldnt even use our ice maker.

Was the best deal available at the time and was highly recommended by salesman. Love the brand and would buy again as it has many features you dont necessarily get elsewhere. Highly reliable products. I like the ice maker and filtered water system. Also like that I can move the shelves around to maximize and customize the space in the refrigerator. I also like the meat drawer and produce drawers. They are spacious enough to hold adequate products. But the freezer is too small, would like less shelving etc to give more space; maybe move the freezer to the bottom instead of side by side if it could be configured correctly and I could see and retrieve product easily.

This model is an older LG, before the compressor fiasco began, only part that has failed thus far is the freezer compartment ice maker. I know that the company is trying to produce highly efficient products, but I say “At what cost are they willing to sacrifice?” Everyone knows that the units being produced nowadays are in no way, shape or form as reliable as the units from yesteryear. I say will those companies making these low quality, high priced appliances stop making trash for the landfills and make them better.

Bought an LG suite of appliances for the kitchen remodel. Every piece except the microwave has had to be serviced right after the warranty expired. The dishwasher drain stopped functioning, the freezer drawer would not stay on the tracks, and the oven’s control panel got super hot when baking and after a couple of calls to troubleshoot that never fixed it, I tried to run a self-clean and the control panel got so hot it fried the oven completely and it went black and stayed locked. Been waiting two weeks for extended warranty to send out a repair guy. A couple of boxes of parts was mailed to me but still no idea when the repair will take place. Two weeks and counting with no stove/oven is terrible!

We love the way our stove (LRG3095) looks with its beautiful cobalt oven, but we do not like that two of the burners are weak. I do not need a manufacturer to call one burner a power burner while another will barely boil a saucepan of water. All burners should have been equal, allowing me, the customer, to decide how high to turn the heat. Also, the top control panel sticks out more than 2 inches into the space of the back burners, so you cant really fit four pots on the range at once - extremely frustrating and really cuts into the functionality of this otherwise well-designed piece of equipment.

I purchased a new LG washer WT1201CW and dryer DLEY1201W when we moved to a new home recently. In all my 50 years washing clothes, I have never had such a poorly designed machine. The washer is so deep that I have to half hang inside the machine to reach the clothes at the bottom (I am 54). The machine doesnt fill with enough water to sufficiently clean the clothes and I end up with spots and streaks. The dryer also performs poorly, not fluffing the clothes and bunching them so they end up wrinkled. I am very dissatisfied and will never purchase anything from LG again.Updated on 05/25/2016: I received a reply with only a portion of my complaint answered and the answer was ridiculous. I am posting this to warn others, dont purchase a top loading washer and matching dryer from LG. I am a grandmother and have washed clothes for many years, this is the worst appliances I have ever owned.

Our $3,500+ super capacity LG refrigerator stopped cooling at the 6 year mark. Several repair attempts have been made in the past month under warranty and at least $2100 in food has spoiled. Weve also spent $370 on floor repairs from water damage leaking from the fridge after the second repair attempt. My fiance and I have been tirelessly working the frontlines 6-7 days a week taking direct care of critically ill COVID patients at hospitals with little time to grocery shop (or sleep) since this pandemic started. For a month now, my family has been eating from our hospitals vending machines or relying on fast food delivery service which has drained our accounts. LGs policy states a maximum of $300 food reimbursement and if our unit is deemed unrepairable even under warranty, we have no option but to pay for junk hauling. After purchasing several high end appliances from LG, this is a huge slap in our faces.

I purchased, in good faith, a new LG refrigerator (side by side) for over $2,200. The cooling system began degrading and I lost all contents in the fridge. The worst part of the experience is that LG did not provide support after many calls. I could not even connect with a senior leader in the company - all reps indicated their policy is to not provide contact information of any senior leader. I could not believe this. They did not care that I spent a great deal of money and faith in their product and the product failed and, they would not even stand behind it. Finally, after several weeks, they sent someone to examine it and made some changes. However, within a week, the temp increased back up to about 60 degrees. They would not send someone back out reasonably quickly, so I contacted a repair service. They came out a few months ago and replaced the compressor. All was fine until, once again, the temp began rising; this time over 65 degrees. I have been trying to get hold of someone who can help me at LG at no avail. I do not typically write reviews about products online (unless positive); however, I feel I have some level of responsibility to you and others to suggest you NOT buy an LG product. The product is not dependable and the service is even worse. Unless youre willing to part with a substantial part of your hard-earned money, consider another brand.

The one we replaced it with was a 25+ year old side by side GE... Still worked fine, never did a repair to it, but this LG was so pretty.. All electronic computerized.. Almost two years to the day we got it, it has died taking everything stored in it with it? This is so disheartening for retired people that just want one last nice thing in their lives... A few years ago I purchased new appliances. A refrigerator, stove and over the range microwave. I had an appliance technician that LG had the fewest repair calls so I went with that company when purchasing. Well in the first year the microwave had to be repaired. The glass stop stove after a year and a half has 2 burners not working and now my refrigerator decided to stop working during the worst time possible. I called the warranty company and because of the pandemic they are not doing any house repairs. I was told to think out of the box or go buy a new one. Now I do have an old refrigerator in the garage but with 8 people living in my home that is not enough room, especially when we need to stock up so we dont go out as often. So for now I am SOL until the virus is over and repair people can start working again. I will NEVER BUY LG appliances again and tell all of our friends the same thing.

The fridge was purchased new in February 2017. The linear compressor failed in April 2019, and various other parts have failed since then. Every part (linear compressor, refrigerant valve, freezer evaporator) except the fridge compartment evaporator has been replaced, and it still doesnt work after 7 tech visits. Technicians do not bring parts--they must be ordered and shipped every time--adding more time without a working fridge. Though we have not paid for these tech visits, we have lost money on spoiled food and from missing work to meet the repair folks. In addition, we purchased a different brand of refrigerator after the LG failed for the second time. The purpose of the warranty is to repair the product and satisfy the customer, and neither of those has happened. We want our full purchase price back along with reimbursement for wasted food. Unfortunately, a leading consumer magazine still recommends LG refrigerators. My family does not recommend them.

Model LFX28978SB - For the 2nd time in the last 4 months, I have thrown away all of the food in our LG refrigerator/freezer. This refrigerator had the compressor replaced 4 months ago and then again, one month later. Now, apparently, the electrical board needs to be replaced. This is a $2,300+ appliance that is less than 5 years old. Bought the side by side April 1, 2015 and compressor is broken as of June 23, 2018 when I noticed water pooling and my ice cream soft. Purchased at Best Buy and they give you an extra yr warranty. The repairmen don’t work on Sundays and Mondays so I have to wait 4 days before my appt. Originally they wanted to schedule me for July 2 which is 1 1/2 wks away. My refrigerator is mildly cool and the freezer has stopped freezing. I paid extra for LG unit which advertised their quiet linear compressor. I am very dissatisfied that the unit broke in 3 yrs. That is ridiculous. I will make sure that I purchase extra warranty for I see more breakdowns in the future. Wished I would have purchased a Whirlpool which is Consumer Reports recommendation. A few of my friends have Whirlpool and no problems.Updated on 06/26/2018: Had the repairman out. I thought it was the linear compressor but it turns out its in the closed system where the freon is connected to the metal coils. He thinks there is a leak. It is only 3 yrs old. This should not be. Another appt has to be set up and a specialist will come to find the leak and put freon in. If they cant fix it, then I get a new refrigerator. This is Best Buy warranty. Today they dont come with a 5 yr warranty. I will also plan on buying extended warranty. Things arent made like they used to when assembly people put it together. My old GE lasted 20 years. That was in the 70s. They purposely design them to break down after ** years.

I bought a whole house full of LG appliances after a house fire in 2010. None of my items went into use until June of 2011. In the summer of 2017 my ice maker in my lfx31925st stopped working and I did a troubleshoot online and tried everything it showed. I contacted LG and was told that they sell products with disposable parts on them and that in this time span it is not uncommon for this item to need repair. I was shocked that my $2800 fridge would be considered by the company to basically be made of disposable parts. This was just the start of my troubles. About two months after this my freezer fan became very loud and I noticed my frost free freezer had a ton of ice in the back. I defrosted this but it kept happening and soon my freezer had stopped working and I had soup for ice cream and much unthawed meat. The fridge part still works somewhat if I keep only small amounts of items in there but I am unable to keep it well stocked as it will get to warm. I get from LG that I am no longer under warranty and there is nothing they can do. All I can say to anyone is stay away as this is not my only issue with LG.

LG True Balance washing machine - We purchased this machine brand new and was told it was top of the line in terms of quality and capacity. It was also at the top end of pricing. We have been dissatisfied in every way. It takes hours to complete a wash cycle and the only chance you stand of getting through a wash cycle without machine stopping every 10 minutes and showing an error code is if you wash like items, ie only towels or only jeans... and then you still often times have to reposition at least once. Many times I cant get the load to finish and have had to remove and wring out by hand soaked and dripping items from machine. We have balanced it every way possible and done all recommended troubleshooting. Techs say just wash like items... not realistic to wash that many separate loads. Would love to hear if anyone has figured out how to fix this issue.

Stopped heating food 1yr. 5mths. Everything else works and acts fine but wont heat anything. Warranty only good for 1yr. Very disappointed with company and this product. Expected much more from LG, especially with the cost of this oven. Many other reviewers have experienced similar problems. I tried to get parts only to find out this microwave has been discontinued. Wow, I wonder why? Life is NOT good with this product. Definitely would not recommend this product and advise to be cautious with any LG microwaves.

It met all my standard and recommend to everyone. The price was reasonable too. The color and style I loved and was exactly what I was looking for. I will always buy an LG fridge and tell everyone about it. I loved the ice maker and there was so much room for me to store all my groceries. Very clean and open. Loved the space on the doors and had enough room for all the condiments. The shelves were perfectly spaced and had enough room. There is nothing really that I did not like about it. It was exactly what I was looking for and the price range was perfect.

We purchased the LG French Door Refrigerator a few years ago and honestly has been nothing but problems and issues since the purchase. From the beginning, several parts (plastic door holders) starting falling off and breaking. We have had repair people out multiple times in the past few years (including again today). The refrigerator often freezes items and the freezer does not freeze (yes this is somewhat ironic). The freezer door is currently broken and ice maker is hanging down. Also, LG customer has been very difficult to work with, one of the most difficult appliance and customer service experiences I have ever had. If given another opportunity, we would not buy another LG fridge. I hope this is helpful and saves future buyers the challenging experience we have had with this fridge.

Already happened three times. Lots of food lost. I will never purchase an LG product again. The evaporator (the thingy with lots of coils and fins, which is responsible for transferring the coldness from the compressed gas to the surrounding air inside the fridge/freezer) ices up. The evaporator defrost heater is working, yet it does not defrost all the ice, allowing for lots of ice buildup. Apparently LG has issue with the timer controlling the defrost cycle. But the bottom line is that when ice builds up on the evaporator fins, no cooling can be done and the food spoils. To fix the issue you have to take the entire fridge (shelves rails, drawers) and freezer (door, rails, ice maker) apart to gain access to the back covers, remove the back covers and manually defrost using a hair drier to remove all the ice build up. I am now an expert in doing this, and it only takes about half a day. But all the food is already spoiled since there is no warning that the fridge and/or freezer stopped working. :-(Apparently this is a common issue with LG, not only this specific model. Other people also have issues with the drain tube freezing up (the drain tube is supposed to drain the water which the evaporator defrost heater thaws. This cause water to overflow and build at bottom of fridge and/or freezer and leak onto the floor, damaging the floor. Some people jury rigged an copper wire extension from the defrost heater into the drain hole to transfer heat from the heater into the drain hole. LG is aware of these issues and has done nothing to address them.Three recommendations for LG: 1- Engineer a better way to detect that there is ice building up and/or make sure that the defrosting cycle is long and/or frequent enough to defrost the evaporator coils and fins. 2- Have an ALARM whenever the temp inside the fridge and/or the freezer is above the set temperature, to warn against spoiling food.3- LG should engineer something to ensure that the drain holed does not ice up. (a heat transfer copper wire as above or a separate heating element around the drain tube).Even if they do listen, I will never purchase an LG product again. -Avi

From day 1, my machine leaked. I called and was told it was due to using too much detergent. I thought that may be the problem and used below the normal line every cycle. Still sporadically, there are leaks below the machine. As I called and was told over and over again, my machine is fine. I let my machine go out of warranty. Now beyond leaking, it stops mid-cycle often so I have to sit next to the machine while washing clothes to restart it and finish cycles. Beyond that, sometimes it gets stuck at 9 minutes left and starts spinning and stops spinning over and over again. Beyond that, when it is filling up, the valves close so quickly it causes all the pipes in my house to shake and bang causing leaks in pipes. Something needs to be done about this. LG should stand behind their product.

Loved my French door refrigerator. Today, noticed freezer not too cold. Cleaned back of fridge, nothing changed. Went on website, said contact service. Put in zip code, gave me a service place 30 plus. Ike’s away. Called repair service under 5 miles away, only to be told I am the second customer TODAY with this fridge problem. “Very common problem with LG. They knew they had issues with the compressors.” Well, I am grateful my 2004 Kenmore fridge is still working fine, no repairs ever, because all my food is in there now. Told compressor will take a few days... Have an LG dishwasher have no issues. Guess what, no more LG appliances for me. If they knew there was a problem, step up and fix it. I think that’s all we would expect. Stand behind your product. Do the right thing. Fix the issue and pay for all expenses not just the compressor. Your fridge was not cheap!!!

(Re: LG Tromm WM1841CW) I moved in with my GF, leaving my old cheap top load behind for the new tenant and thinking hey, why not, the GF has an expensive LG; more expensive, a lot more expensive, so it must be better, right? Wrong! On top of the musty odors, I swear I am gaining rather than losing stains on my clothing. These look like grease stains. Certain materials seem more prone, such as cottons, especially softer cottons. LG suggests all this ** about cleaning the door seal, door, and tub at minimum daily. What a load of **! What, the consumer has to fix LGs bad design problems? And this thing cost more than a thousand. My 50-dollar secondhand washer never had these problems and got things clean. Save your money and you mind and buy yourself a good ol’ cheap top loader. Going forward, I will hand fill (over fill) the tub with super-hot water and pout in a couple cups of bleach and let it wash for a few minutes before letting it sit for a few hours. As for the laundry, I will see about over filling it with water to get the wash actually clean.

LG WT1101CW Top load washer - I purchased this washer January of 2014. I read the reviews in consumer reports and that is how I came to purchase this washer. My issue with it is that I feel it has more control over me than I do over it. It uses less water and does not saturate the items and because it uses less water, when you add chlorine bleach it leave chlorine fade marks on white wash as well as a darker wash. This has happened many times and a lot of my items were ruined. I do not believe that Consumer Reports tested this issue on clothing. I have also had to rewash my clothing because the dirt just didnt come out. I currently have sent LG an email with regard to this issue. Today, I just purchased a Kenmore with an agitator and it has a water level that I can choose. Although it is 3.6 cf as opposed to 4.3 cf. submitted by serial number. CHLORINE BLEACH DISPERSEMENT AND WATER LEVEL IS THE ISSUE. I have gotten unbalance codes but machine works and is quiet but I want my laundry clean.

Our fridge died after 15 months. It took 3 days for LG tech to come out and change the compressor. After 3 weeks second compressor went down too. Again another tech came out and replaced the compressor. And now here is the nightmare. As soon as tech left unit started making a loud banging noise. Called LG again and same tech came out. Worked on it and left. It took less than 30 minutes for noise to come back. Next day same tech comes out and worked on it but he really didnt know what was wrong. He left and same problem. The banging is so loud that we can hear it from our bedroom. It got so bad that I had to pull out the unit and unplug at 3 am. And now LG sending the same tech out for the 5th time. This unit cost us $3100...

All the food In the bottom freezer dethawed and no ice is disowning from the door. I have called LG numerous times and had their tech out three times. He said it was the compressor and ordered the part, came back five days later installed another part (apparently just because the part came in what appeared to be a new box did not mean it was a new part). It still doesnt work. Meanwhile we’ve been living out of coolers and LG gives excuse after excuse when I ask to speak to a supervisor. Had I known about the class action suits that have been brought against this company I would not have bought this piece of junk. As for “customer service” LG would does not know what that is or care to provide it. This has truly been a horrendous experience and they should be held accountable.

I looked at several other brands and styles and choose the LG. I really liked the sleek look. The shelving layout was better than what I was looking for and the price was great. I purchased the LG DLE2050W Dryer along with the matching washer 2.5 yrs ago. We have replaced a sensor, a fuse and when the dryer quit drying a week ago, I thought here we go again, ordered another fuse and guess what, that didnt work this time. I have had a couple of dryers over the 32 yrs of our marriage, and never had to replace more than a heating coil even with 2 boys growing up here. It is just my husband and I now, 2-3 loads a week and dealing with this is ridiculous. You have to take the drum out to get to the most minute parts and what a pain that is. So, this dryer will be stuck in the corner of the basement and tomorrow, I am getting a new Whirlpool and feel confident I wont be dealing with these issues again.

We purchased our matching washer dryer combo from Sears as part of our remodel on our bathroom when our prior set died for the 10th time in 6 years. However had I known that $20-$70 repairs would amount to less than the headaches I would now be dealing with, I would have kept those workhorses any day of the week. Not only does our washer smell like everyone elses no matter what remedy we try, but it leaks, and leaks, and LEAKS! Weve had it serviced 3 times in the last 6 mos. trying to replace things that were wrong from the motor to hoses to outlets and now find out theres lawsuits because of these issues. Because of cutting corners and faulty mechanisms I have to do more laundry, which causes more leaks, which causes more laundry, crazy cyclic cycle. When are we the consumers going to say ENOUGH and when is anyone going to have our backs to compensate and make this right for us? Im tired of paying and paying and paying while these companies continue to manufacture GARBAGE!!! My washer still leaks after dumping thousands of dollars down the drain! Thanks LG!!! I purchased a new LG Range and LG Microwave in April 2019 -installed in May 2019. In October of 2019 the Magnetron and motor fan failed and needed replaced. This was serviced and covered by LG. Now come November of 2020. The motor fan and magnetron is failing again... Was on phone with LG for over an hour explaining that this should not happen in a microwave AGAIN in the short amount of time that Ive had it. LG will not do ANYTHING since its out of my warranty period. After a very lengthy conversation with a manager- they agreed to cover the Magnetron part only (then to find out by a service company that these are covered for 8 years regardless). No help on service fee or the fan part being paid for either. The quote to get this fixed is higher than the cost of a new microwave. Very disappointed. My very cheap microwave before I bought this one lasted 10 years. What gives LG? Dont make customers beg and plead for help on a failing product. There is NO way this microwave should fail this quickly. I believe I received a defective product from the beginning. So frustrating.

We purchased this dryer from Lowes in Round Rock Texas in February 2016. It was functioning properly until about a month ago. You would hit the power button, select your cycle and hit start. It would chirp and die immediately. A tech came out, said it needed a board. He ordered it and it came in and was replaced. Worked for a day or two and did exactly the same thing. He then stated that the power from the breaker box to the plug had some sort of power fall off.I called the electrician who verified no issues with the power. The LG Tech came back, the problem was not fixed and he stated the same thing. I called the electrician back. We changed out the breaker and the plug. Everything was working as needed but the dryer still would not start once the start button was activated. The tech is coming back tomorrow to check the system. I will repost if we are not successful. For a dryer that costs $1200 this is simply unacceptable.

We bought this microwave a week ago and will be taking it back to Menards tomorrow (and will be writing a review about them if they dont give us our $ back!). It worked fine until tonight. The only complaint we had was that it didnt have a timer on it but we could deal with that. Now, however, it is junk. We had the light on below the microwave and when I turned it off, I turned the vent on to see how many settings it had. I turned it back off and noticed the light inside the microwave was now on and the turntable was going. It wouldnt stop. It was finally discovered that if we pushed stop, then energy saver, it would stop and the light would go off but nothing would make it work. Anytime we tried to put a time in the display, it would just read door and do nothing except spin and have the light on. Its off the wall and back in the box. Menards, here we come!!

Throws errors LG refused to fix. 2 months old. 3 errors. Model WT7060CV: We purchased from well known retailer, upgraded all external hoses, faucet, etc. at time they installed. Within 2 weeks, started getting errors requiring reset, that worked, now at 2 months of light usage, vacation home, the error claims no water coming into tub. The symptoms however are conflicting: water fills tub and washes, then as it goes into spin, error thrown, tub drains, washer stops working, items in washer are wet. Now we cant get washer to work at all, the current error says requires repair person, we call retailer, they give us LG Customer Service, customer service tells us the problem is no water is coming into tub, I explained that was not the case and reiterated symptoms. We did video call with LG, they found no problem and said the hose must be clogged since no water was coming in. We said yes water is coming in, they said to clean the filters which required taking back off of washer but they wouldnt stay on the call to assist, I said water is coming in and seems odd that after 2 months the filters have to be cleaned and I am not comfortable doing this on my own, they said to stop repeating myself and hung up on me. They gave us 2 repair people in Seattle, 1 out of business, 1 never called back. I asked for repair services closer to East side because anyone further out wont drive to our location, they gave me 2 that are further away than first repair service. Retailer told us LG was supposed to call repair service not us.Now the retailer, who really has been super helpful is dealing with LG and is going to pay for an LG repair company closer to our location that is not on LG authorized list to go out to try to repair the machine. The retailer told me LG is extremely difficult to work with when issues occur with their products. Lesson learned. DONT BUY LG, I now have a shiny new 2 month old washing machine that does not work and neither the retailer or LG will take back. The good news... The dryer works fine. So far.

Do NOT buy a LG fridge nor use Southland Technical for after service. LG has their own service techs but they are not qualified to do compressor work. So they contract out. Last hot summer, I was given the run around by LG for over 2 weeks to get someone to come see my broken down $3,000 fridge. They keep telling me how busy they are and finally they gave me Southland’s phone number to call. Southland came out, and $1,000+ later, I get my new compressor. Almost exactly 105 days later, the compressor broke down again!!! The service guy who came out in January told me this is the SECOND incident in last 2 days he has seen!!! It took almost 2 months for Southland to get back to me to confirm indeed the compressor had broken down again and due to some BS story, the fridge can no longer be fixed and they will have LG call me. 2 weeks on, LG called to tell me I am SOL because LG did not initiate the call to Southland and therefore LG is not responsible. LG offered me a $100 credit for my next LG fridge, REALLY!! I am suspicious it was a collision between Southland and LG to get me to buy a new fridge. Really Southland, you took $1,000 of my money, replaced the compressor. (Assume they did or perhaps an after-market no name???) And to tell me 105 days is outside the 90 day warranty period. Hands up out there if anyone knows a compressor to last only 105 days. (Yes, days, not months!!) Needless to say, never use Southland and never buy any LG products... Look around, less and less dealers are selling LG, only Costco because they do not have a service department so LG is a convenient partner for a lousy brand!!

I went for brand name and would have chose otherwise could I do it again. I have always trusted LG products but the fridge was somewhat of a disappointment compared to other products. The shelving was too close together and didnt hold up well, was often difficult to change the shelves because the metal would catch on the sides and stick. The crisper drawers would often stick and the plastic was cheaply made. But I like the size and location of the freezer, space inside the lower area. A shelf on the door that provided an area to put the milk. There was an area to put eggs without the carton and the crisper drawers were clear.

Lmx25988sb. After only 2.5 years this piece of junk has broken compressor. Nobody within 300 miles of Taos NM will touch it for repair as all refrigerant needs to be evacuated. Warranty only covers part and not labor. Customer service has been useless after hours on the phone. Will never buy anything from LG again.

I bought an LG dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, clothes washer and dryer for my new home eight years ago. As of today I had to replace the refrigerator, the microwave and I am now on my third dishwasher and now my washing machine died. Service is horrible!!! Response to issues horrible, product reliability is non-existent. I wish there was a way to bring LG to the table to respond to bad product issue. I recommend no one buy their products!

I had my refrigerator abruptly stop cooling. The first tech appointment was coordinated rather quickly, but the fix didnt take and the fridge was down again with 24 hours. The technician I worked with was the ONLY one available in my area. He had a personal emergency the day he was supposed to service my unit again, which meant I was out of luck. It took 5 WEEKS for LG to get a technician back out to me. I will most certainly NOT be buying another LG product because of this awful customer support.

This is regarding open ticket which has been going on since December. Dryer is still under warranty, it was purchased in August. It does not dry correctly, get flow sense and D80 error message. Per LG request, we serviced our exhaust system and checked all the ventilation and house flaps, duck ductwork etc. Twice. Proof can be provided. All is fine on the house side. Error messages happens even with dryer is not connected to the house, which rules out the house. Its a new construction as well. Triangle Appliances has been working on the dryer since then and replaced everything LG has asked them to. Still not working. As of yesterday, Triangle Appliances deemed it unrepairable per their expertise and written proof of that will be provided. LG refuses to replace it and says there is nothing else they can/want to do regarding repairs. LG is under warranty obligation and refusing service. Please forward this to the right department, for resolution or we will be taking legal action. Also, let me add that the only LG technician available in the area (Durham, NC) was incompetent, not professional, rude to my wife and showed up without parts (he did check they were on back order) and blamed us for it. This is why we ended up working with Triangle Appliances, LG approved, and they have been great.

I purchased an LG refrigerator on 5/19/13, model # LFX3194ST, and purchased the 4-year warranty. On 8/14/15 the freezer and then the fridge began to thaw and re-freeze. I called the warranty service and had an appointment scheduled for 8/18/15 between 8-12. The repair technician showed up at 1:30, and after doing diagnostics, said I needed a new compressor (on a refrigerator 2 years old). He ordered the compressor and said it would be delivered on 8/19/15 (and I am sure it is likely a refurbished compressor), and it did arrive, and is still sitting on a bench where I left it in boxes. The technician, Hugo **, then scheduled a 12-4 appointment to replace the compressor on 8/20/15. On 8/20/15, Hugo called at 3:30, and said he had an emergency and needed to reschedule. He rescheduled with me to arrive between 11-12 on 8/21/15. At 2:00 pm on 8/21/15, I called him, and he said he would be over in about one hour. I called him again at 3:15 pm, and he again said it would be about an hour. I had an emergency of my own arise, and called to see where he was at around 4:15 pm, and he said he could be by in 15-20 minutes. I asked if he could wait and come at 5:00. He agreed, but said the visit would take 2-3 hours, which I find to be a long estimate of time when the part is already available. He was angling to reschedule, so I asked when he could. He said he could be over the next morning at 9:00 am, so I decided to allow the reschedule. He never showed or called.I called the warranty department through Lowes to complain. I was told I needed to deal with this technician and take a slot on Monday from 8-12, or I could start over with a new company. They also said the company that was supposed to come has one technician, Hugo, and that he does not work on the weekend, so the warranty rep said, he lied. The next appointment for another company (only other company offered) was 8/28/15. If I started with a new company, the compressor at my home could not be used. So my choice is to take the appointment (like I really believe he will show) or start over. I did work out that I could call another company, but I would also need to start over and bill Lowes. I was also told I could get a rental refrigerator and bill Lowes. Highly doubt I would ever see the $, and the hassle factor would be very high. They have you coming and going.I will NEVER buy anything LG again, and will likely never shop at Lowes again. This warranty is sold by Lowes and they should be bending over backwards at this point due to their poor choice of vendors. No bending noted, so no future business from me. Steer clear of LG and Lowes as far as I am concerned. I included the warranty program # below.

I owned a washing machine model WD-65130F but it broke down since August 2011. Until now I am still unable to fix it because there are no spare parts according to the service provider and I need to import spare parts from Korea. My question is - I cant get spare parts in 3 months? What kind of back up service does LG provide?Im upset and shared my bad experience with my community not to buy LGs product anymore because until now my problem is unsolved and complaint after complaint have been made but sadly not even a feedback from LG. I do wonder if the web page is real or false.

I paid over 1,500.00 for a LG refrigerator LFC23760ST just three years ago. Its the last time I will ever buy LG products again. They carry just a 1 year warranty and will charge me an arm and a leg to replace any parts that I need. The circuit board went out and I was told that its $400 dollars just for the parts to fix it. Why do I need have to spend $500 plus dollars on parts on an appliance that is only 3 years old?I have a Whirlpool refrigerator in my garage that sits out in the heat and has been out there for 15 plus years and I bought it used... And it still works. If they are so confident in their products, make them last for more than 3 years. Im upset that this happened but if they carried a warranty that replaced and/or fixed my problems, it would not be as bad. But when I call and to get my refrigerator fixed, its a like buying a new one all over again. Like I said, this will be my last LG product I will ever buy.

On Sat. Oct 18, 2014, my brother went into the LG fridge to get something, when he called out to get my attention. I thought it was smoke from oven. All attempt to locate fire in the oven was lean. I opened the kitchen window to air out the smoke. A few minutes later, my son goes to the same fridge in search of something and calls out with a more assured voice, dad I think the smoke is coming from the refrigerator. Upon getting back to the fridge, I opened the fridge part. It was smoke filled. The light was out. Toward the bottom of the fridge, I discovered that the egg carton on top of the cold buckets was on fire. It was still burning. The 18 count egg carton was totally top obliterated, plus a hole ate to the bottom. Bad deal.We recorded the whole experience and took a few pictures. I called LG and spoke to a rep who seemed to be empathetic. LG decided they would have a technician contact me, but non was available for the next two weeks. The rep told us that she would call me the next day after getting to work, at about 08:30, with a possible contact. She didnt. When my wife called them, she got nothing but the run around. Two days later, I spoke with a rep who was not getting to the bottom of the issue. Then I requested to talk to a manager. The manager patched the issue over to the Executive team, who made the decision after seeing the videos and pictures, that the fire was no fault of theirs. LG never sent a technician to look at my LG refrigerator. LG said people call and complain for different reasons. Thats subject to anyones interpretation. The long and short of the story is that cold refrigerators should never burn inside. It should smother out fire, not attract it.

We purchased our LG washing machine 11/18 from Best Buy. We opted at the time to not get the extended warranty, since in our 50 yrs of marriage, this was only our 4th set... After washing clothes last weekend, I noticed that the agitator was not attached. I called my repairman, thinking that somehow the agitator had disengaged from the transmission, and it would be s simple fix. What he found was a broken transmission shaft... The broken part being the size of my little finger, completely broken in half! The cost to repair $300. We launder approx. 7 loads of clothes/ week, none of them being very large.. How did this happen!! CR gave this machine a good rating, I call it a piece of junk! This will be the last LG product that I will purchase.

We made it 4 years with our LG refrigerator, purchased at Lowes. Everything was fine except that it wasnt cooling. Every single thing was fine except the air was blowing warm. No other problems. It was as if it just needed coolant. We have now been without a refrigerator for 10 days and almost every part has been replaced including the compressor, dryer, refrigerant, and other miscellaneous parts. Today we learned that they have to order a circuit board. The repair technician has no sense of urgency and seems totally clueless. We called LG Service to let them know what was happening and they had all the records of our 3 repair visits in the last 10 days but were totally unsympathetic and said that we are stuck until the repair guy can fix it. We bought the annual service agreement for $465 and expect better service for that kind of money. We have lost hundreds of dollars of food and are living out of a cooler. I love LG products but I will never buy another one because the service is the worst we have ever experienced. The only positive thing I can say is that he has used a freaking blow torch on every visit and hasnt damaged our hardwood floors...YET.

Bought 11/18/12, this will be my third repair. The first was the ice-maker which was replaced at no charge - that was 11/14 - 2 years after purchase. The second was the fan which was making such a loud noise that I could hear it in the other room. That was repaired 2/15 and I had to pay for it. Now the fan did the same thing - a horrendous noise, and now my refrigerator button reads ER and my freezer, RF. I spoke with LG Cust. Service who told me I would have to pay for the repair; next I asked for a supervisor and they eventually connected me with an executive agent. I waited on the line for 15 minutes before anyone picked up. She told me if I faxed her my receipt, they would pay for the repair. My telling her that this refrigerator was 2 years 8 months old made no difference. When I faxed over the receipt, I called them to make sure they had it and someone else set up an appointment, after much trying - since it was the Thursday before July 4th, for repair on Tuesday July 7. I received a phone call today that the company cant make it on Tuesday, now its Thursday. I have lost most of my food and I have had it. This product is garbage and no one should sell it. I will tell EVERYONE I know never to buy anything that is LG.

The warranty only last for one year. They said they would send out a technician on Tuesday. The Tech arrives and said he has to order the part (compressor) which would arrive on Friday. This was the number one rated range on several different websites so I thought Id found a winner. Ive had nothing but problems since the day this was delivered and the worst part is that LG has the WORST customer service department I have ever had to deal with. A recent chat representative even wrote that she will go one step a time for me reading from the manual. I have a masters degree in nursing, I can read directions! The stove comes set up for natural gas and it took 2 technicians almost 2 hours to get this set up and installed. Cost me an additional $320 and yes, these were experienced technicians from a reputable company, but very little is known about this model. First issue was that the ultraheat burner would not ignite and had a flare up issue when it did. I had to get approval from LG for a service call and again, even the company of their choice knew very little about this stove. He had to call LG for help from there who talked him through the repair. The upper oven was burning just about everything I tried to bake so I asked him to check that. The oven was set at 350 and his professional digital external thermometer was reading 425 degrees AFTER the preheat cycle and took forever to come anywhere near 350 degrees. The instructions tell you how to adjust the oven temps, but the (+) does not appear on the digital display, as stated in the manual, so you have no idea if the adjustments your making are even effective! After burning lots and lots of food, I finally got the oven to semi work. I put a high quality thermometer in the oven and it was all over the place 300-425 degrees during the baking cycle. Now lets talk about the lower oven. From day one there was a terrible odor which I was told was just from it being new. Again, it burned just about everything I put in so I started playing with the adjustment feature. It got to a point where some rolls were golden brown on top, but the bottoms were barely done, but at least they werent burnt! Not to mention that this thing sounds like you have a jet engine running in your kitchen! Now, heres the real kicker. This morning I opened the lower oven to move the rack and the entire inside was black, covered in soot (see photo of rag I used to wipe just the bottom). I tried to call LG but they refused to let me speak to the technical department to see if this was normal for a new oven or if I needed yet another service call. I was told this department only speaks to other technicians. I called Lowes and this piece of junk will be on its way back to the store later this week. Thank heaven I purchased it from Lowes, at least someone stands behind the products they sell.

I purchased a Front Load LG WM4270HWA along with matching dryer from Standard Appliance in Portland, Oregon, after reading good ratings online from Consumer Reports for these front loading machines. I had my Asko Asea dryer go out for the third time which I purchased in 2003. I was under pressure because of a pending breast cancer surgery within a week and was told by their repair group that they likely could not get parts on the older Asko. I ordered the new LG set needing sterile clean sheets and nightie after sterile prep before surgery. The repair company called and said five days later they could get the parts to repair the dryer, but it was too late, I had ordered the LG set to be delivered the next day.My first run was one queen set of sheets, nightie and one towel. I immediately got the infamous UE signal and called the LG service number and was told to wash only one type of item at one time. I kept rearranging the load to no avail. I was then told to wash only one sheet at a time. I ran the spin and dry cycle several times to no avail. I then put the very wet sheets in the dryer with over an hour of drying. During the night I was sickened by the smell of sheets and nightie and had to change everything before my surgery. After surgery recovery three weeks later, I attempted to run three different loads of laundry. All kept giving the UE signal. I have severe osteoarthritis (knees and shoulders) and had to travel up and down the stairs to keep reloading the machine because of balance errors. None of the loads came out clean the way my working Asko had cleaned. I then read the ConsumerAffairs report on the machine to find out these machines were not worth keeping especially since I have an extreme mold sensitivity (I am the worst HLA type for mold causing many chronic illnesses).Standard agreed to take the machines back and although they could not retrieve and repair my old set as they had already parted out, for an additional 900 dollars (10% restocking fee plus added cost of Askos) they would send me a new set of Asko washer and dryers. Not the best solution for someone on a fixed income but much better than keeping a mold hazard. Asko was one of the few front loaders not included in the mold class action suits. It should be required to tell customers of pending class action suits before the purchase of expensive appliances. Mold is a life threatening issue for many people. Twenty five percent of the population do not clear toxins from their bodies. I am disappointed that Standard did not tell me of the mold issue but they did take back the machines which I appreciate.

Less than 4 year old refrigerator died on 5/24. Took FOREVER to get techs to take the situation seriously and get repair tech scheduled. After 2 failed attempts, an independent non-LG tech finally diagnosed compressor failure. LG phone techs may be trained to downplay the situation, because the repair tech said he diagnoses 5 and replaces at least 3 of these a day. They cannot keep up with the work and LG wont hire more repairmen. Took another 5 days for parts to arrive and then schedule a repair day. Meanwhile I am living with NO FRIDGE and now LG says they will NOT reimburse me for the mini fridge we had to buy (not to mention all the bagged ice Ive had to purchase too!) The best we can do is send you a check for $100 for food reimbursement. I spent $1500 on a refrigerator from you and thats the best you can do???Compressor was finally replaced today and repairman said, I dont trust the new compressor either, so dont put any food in it for at least 48 hours till youre sure its operating correctly. Yikes. This has been such a disillusioning experience, I have praised LG products to anyone asking for recommendations, but I will not anymore due to the TERRIBLE customer service I received!! Refrigerators, and appliances in general, are designed these days to break and NOT be repaired. If thats the case, then the price should reflect a disposable product, not the thousands they do cost. LG is not standing behind their product, but rather hiding behind untrained techs who speak so politely, yet do not disseminate truthful information to frustrated customers looking for help from the company they trusted with their hard-earned money. You have lost a long-time loyal customer with many LG products in our home, shame on you...

Purchased fridge 1/1/2016. After 3 months we had to have it repaired because ice was forming on fan, they also had to evacuate the system and add freon. Took a few weeks for that repair. At 7 months old it stopped cooling (compressor went bad). Lost $250 worth of food. We had to use one of their authorized servicers due to the warranty and it took 2 weeks for a repair. Almost 3 years to the day after having replaced the compressor, it went bad again. The part is covered, labor is not. It will cost me $300+ for the repair and another $200+ for spoiled food. I should not be spending this kind of money to repair a $3000 refrigerator after only 3 years and 7 months. I have read numerous reviews and this is a very common issue. There have been several class action lawsuits and apparently LG is aware of the subpar performance of this appliance, yet still sells it.

My LG clothes dryer (model #DLEX5170W) stopped working during my first year
My LG clothes dryer (model #DLEX5170W) stopped working during my first year of ownership. That was just the start of my problems. Getting someone in customer service @ LG was another part of the problem: they put the burden on you and told me I didnt have enough electric power (I had plenty) & had to hire a certified electrician and get more power. The electrician (at my cost) said I had plenty of power. Called LG back and they still had me jump through hoops but finally set up an appt. with Jimmys Same Day Appliance to come to my home one afternoon, LG said, between 1 and 7 on a Friday. He never showed and never called. (I have caller ID, so I know he never called)! What a waste of time. LG set up a 2nd appt. for the following Monday with the same guy/co. to come between 11-3 and at 12:30 he called to say his daughter fell at school and hurt her arm and he was going to the hospital and doubted he would make it today. At least this time he called. I called LG....another ten to twenty minute call, and requested a different service tech, and got one for tomorrow between 1 and 5 pm. What a nightmare. Had I known LG products break down during their first year and that customer service is so difficult I never would have bought their product! Never will again!

Ever since we purchased the machine (a birthday present that was supposed to make life easier) we have suffered from clothes that stink, even right out of the washer. We tried changing detergents. No good. We purchased cleaning solvents from the store and ran cleaning cycles, good for one wash. Then the stink is back. The company says to leave the door open and wipe the inside rubber gasket dry after each use. Leaving the door open is not really an option and it blocks the hallway. I read that there are multiple complaints concerning the rubber gasket and stink from LG, and their overall response is the same as what they told me. My wife had put on a fairly average load of laundry into our LG Washer (approx 3.5 years old) on Saturday, November 22, 2014. My wife and I had to drop off our special-needs son at his group home, and we had to run to the grocery store. My other son had errands, so he too had left the house. Upon returning from his errands (approx. one hour after we had left), my son tried to enter the laundry room via the garage entrance. He was unable to get past the door opening, as the washing machine was found in the middle of the walkway of the laundry room, water covered the floor, and holes were present in two adjacent walls. After entering the house through the front door, my son only made it to the middle of the hallway before he noticed the carpet was soaking wet. He proceeded to find the hall bathroom as well as entryway and closets of the bedrooms to be soaked with water with some rooms worse than others. The washing machine at roughly 90 degrees off from where it should be. The sides and back of the washer were pushed out and plastic washing machine parts were strewn across the laundry room floor and hallway (up to almost 12 ft. away at entrance to master bedroom). Whatever occurred, it had to have been a violent shaking with an explosion of parts as it produced holes in walls, denting of the drier, and water to flood multiple rooms. My concern is this could have occurred while we were present in the home and near the laundry room. This is particularly concerning as, prior to leaving, my special-needs son had had spent the night with us, and he was previously in the bedrooms and hallway adjacent the laundry room while the machine was running. This should be a concern for anyone who owns an LG washer or any other washing machine that is capable of such destruction. At this point, the damage to the house and appliances has been approximated to at least $6,000. It is possible the number will increase, should the carpet have to be replaced in multiple rooms. The washing machine has been without any known mechanical issues, since we purchased it from Sears (approx 3.5 years ago). This is the first time we have had any incident with the machine, let alone something of such significance.

We purchased all new LG appliances for our kitchen 3 years ago. The stove is terrible to say the least. You can brush up against the knobs and turn the burners on. My 6 year old daughter has walked by and bumped the knob with her shoulder and turned the gas on and it was on for I don’t know how long. This is extremely dangerous. Also, I can’t even use the bottom oven because flames shoot out the back and burns my food. I bought this double oven because I bake a lot and it has made baking so much more difficult. I can not believe these stoves have not been recalled due to fire danger.

I bought this top of the line washer and matching dryer because my wife has never had very much because we both work unskilled labor jobs. She was so happy I even bought the 400 dollar matching pedestals. They look beautiful to this day but they break a lot, cant go 6 months without a problem. Worst set I have ever owned. I wish I would have gone to Sears and got a basic top loader with proven track record. I know I could have bought 3 sets for the price of the LGs. Never again LG. Where is our great Consumer protection agency at? I could have bought her a nice car for the money I have spent keeping these two LGs running since 2006. When I wear my clothes they stink. I guess we need to go back to doing our clothes at the Laundromat.

LG Top Load WT517OHV washing machine is very stylish. It has a window on top so you can see into the machine. What we dont like: it smells very musty between loads. You cant wash rugs that have a rubber backing. You cant wash water-proof or water-resistant items such as jackets. The machine doesnt fill with water for a full load. Weve tried all the settings. Every time we wash a load, we have to set the egg timer to come back after 10 minutes to shut the machine down. We then reset it to fool it into filling the drum entirely with water. How do you wash a full load of very dirty clothes with the tub filled with water half way or less?Yes we called LG several times for help. Our opinion: Buy basic washing machines w/o water saving sensors. Save your money because you only need standard settings to wash your clothes effectively. Wash only full loads to save water. Weve had this washer and an LG dryer DLEX5170/71 for two years w/o mechanical problems.
