There seemed to be an issue with the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Pump. If a button comes off from your clothing or snap, etc., it gets trapped in the washer pump, causing it to crack and leak. Whirlpool on warranty only allows for one free change and anything after that costs $300.00. This is going to be the third time we are having problems with this and it is becoming, economically, a struggle for us. We have checked every button and snap to make sure they are fastened tightly, as well as any other type of items that may fall off in the wash and become trapped in the pump causing it to crack and leak. These pumps were poorly made and Whirlpool needs to be more aware of this problem rather than telling the customer that they are not aware of the situation.

We had purchased a Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer and Dryer in 2007. Since that time we have had several repairs on the dryer, resulting in us having to purchase an entire new unit in 2011 (4 years old), along with mold that has accumulated in the washing machine on the tub and rubber seal that cannot be removed after several attempts utilizing several products that were recommended. The end result is our laundry that has been washed - comes out with a musty odor. Not happy at all with the top of the line, best possible machine to produce clean laundry as was sold to us! This has been a nightmare, and a totally dysfunctional appliance that should have lasted longer than 5 years!

My wife and I tried to buy a Whirlpool refrigerator and when dealing with their customer it seemed like the left hand didnt know what the right hand was doing. My wife and I were really disappointed being that these refrigerators are supposedly made in America; thats why we wanted a Whirlpool; but we would never buy a Whirlpool now because of the way we were treated also. Sincerely unhappy with our experience!

It was obviously designed by someone who has never had to clean a refrigerator. There are grooves in the door gaskets seemingly making their sole purpose to collect crumbs and mold with no obvious way to keep them clean (No, Q-tips dont do it). A layer of ice forms below the basket in the freezer (bottom freezer) which, when it melts, soaks the kitchen floor. Ice must be chipped out at least every two weeks to avoid flooding.

Purchased a home recently that had a Whirlpool dishwasher installed within it. Havent lived here for more than 2 weeks. Go to use the dishwasher a week ago and the dishwasher wont turn on. Its brand new! We tried resetting the breaker and all the tricks on the website page. So we called Whirlpool to have them send someone out and diagnose the problem... a week later. The appliance repair man comes out and says its not receiving the proper voltage for the dishwasher to run. So I contact the electric company that installed the electric wires within the home and they came out the next day to check their work. The electrician found that there was the proper voltage coming into the lines for the dishwasher to run and in fact it is the dishwasher. So at this point Im back to square one and called Whirlpool again. At this point, I just wanted them to replace the dishwasher with a new one (same model, no upgrade) since it hasnt even been 30 days of owning the thing and its already having issues. I havent even used it once. I didnt think I was crazy for asking for a new one. Especially when the problem seems to be electrically related. They tell me another person has to come back out and deem the product unrepairable for them to exchange the product for a new one. They tell me its going to be yet again another week for someone to come deem it repairable or not. But wait heres a 75 dollar Visa gift card for your inconvenience. How about you spend the 75 dollars on hiring a technician to come fix it today? Had a similar problem with a LG appliance and they sent me a new one with no hassle without even sending a tech out to see if it was repairable or not. Buyers beware! Dont waste your money on Whirlpool. Clearly they do not care about their customers. They would rather spend more money in technician fees than to just admit their product isnt functioning correctly and replace it.

The built-in microwave above the stove was in the home when we bought it seven years ago, so not sure how old it is. Although it had a crack in the door, near the handle, weve had not one problem with the unit. The crack has not opened more, or gotten longer, in the seven years weve been in the home. The unit is easy to clean, and has worked perfectly. It is simple to use, although no directions came with it, it was easy to figure it out.

Horrible Customer Experience. After having my Whirlpool side by side with bottom freezer for 5 months it quit cooling (both freezer and refrig portions). This happened on a Saturday evening and Whirlpool was closed until Monday (no emergency service shown on their website for my area). Whirlpool contacted their service agent and they could not come out until Wednesday. Service tech said compressor was bad and had to order new one. Compressor arrived the next day however they could not come back until the following Monday to install. By this time I was without a refrigerator for 9 days. Techs installed new compressor and by Tuesday it quit cooling again! Tech came out the next day and said he thought the problem was the compressor and now says its the evaporator. I had to wait until the next week before they would come and install the new evap. By that time I will be without a refrig/freezer for 16 days. I contacted Whirlpool customer service and talked to several different people and all they would offer me is $50. I will never purchase a Whirlpool product again!

Purchased a Whirlpool French Door Refrig. Model #WRF 954CIHZ200 in 11/21/2017 from Best Buy for $2300.00 on sale. Within the 1st year the Ice Maker broke & repairman said the ill design caused the wire to break. He had replaced numerous ones for the same reason. In the 2nd yr the freezer started frosting. Next thing the freezer quit. Next day refrig quit working. Called Whirlpool, said, So sorry. We will send you a $50.00 Visa gift card. That was to cover $200.00 of just bought groceries. Called repair guy & he diagnoses compressor was bad. (IN A LESS THAN 2 YR OLD REFRIG. THAT COST $2300.00????)Now, we are 28 day w/o refrig. Living with a Igloo cooler. Whirlpool says they have no stock left on compressors for our refrig. (probably because there are so many going bad in their refrigerators). They are trying to locate one somewhere in US so that takes 6 days then they have to ship to repair center then they have to schedule us for repair which will probably be another 7 days. Ghee, what a mess! Dont do it folks! Buy a LG or Samsung! If I had it to do again, thats what I would do! Whirlpool is Not what they use to be when I trusted them. Years ago. P.S. I bought microwave, stove, & dishwasher! They are all unsatisfactory! Never again!???

Never again will I purchase any Whirlpool product. I was seduced into purchasing a Whirlpool dehumidifier by the sale price at Canadian Tire. Big mistake! It worked as expected for four months before all the refrigerant leaked out - we found this out later. I contacted Whirlpool and was told I could take it to their authorized service depot (a 50 minute drive from here) for repairs. I did so and was charged $44.80 for them to troubleshoot the unit. Two weeks later they told me that the refrigerant had leaked out and it would cost $563 for repairs. For a $200 unit!! Get serious! I pointed out, according to my Canadian Tire receipt that the warranty was for 5 years on the compressor and sealed components. After further collaboration between the repair depot and Whirlpool, I was told that my warranty is not with Whirlpool but rather with the company that produced the unit for Whirlpool, namely Hisense and that the Whirlpool repair depot did not do warranty work for Hisense. I then had to fax the technician report to Hisense to get an authorization number for a replacement unit from Canadian Tire. Once armed with the authorization number, I had to visit my local Canadian Tire store and pick up the replacement. That unit worked well for about nine months before it failed. Considering service depot charges and all the driving involved, it cost me something like $100 for a warranty replacement (not including my time). No more fooling around with this junk. I just ordered a Kenmore dehumidifier. Hope that one is a better investment. I see now that Canadian Tire no longer sells these units. Maybe they figured it out. Judging from other Whirlpool reviews, it seems I am not alone in my views. My recommendation - stay away from Whirlpool!

I purchased the hot water tank from Lowes 3 years for over $500.00 within the first year, I experienced issues. I have the same pilot light problems as everybody else. I have hired a plumber four or 5 times to clean and blow everything out as instructed by Whirlpool. The hot water heater will not stay lit. The plumber has replaced every part possible two times. Customer service continues to inform me to do this and that and everything has already been done. I am without hot water again with children in the house. Once again, we are boiling hot water so that we can bathe--total inconvenience. This product is defective, and has cost me money to hire a plumber each time. I would never recommend this product to anyone!

I call a service technicians to repair it and after aol $45 service charge level, he tells me that it has a Motor capacitor defect at a cost of $360 to repair. So I have paid useless piece of junk. I out and purchased another washer only $150 more than the repair. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. My last washer a Maytag (before Whirlpool bought them out) lasted over 20 years. I bought my topload washer 2 years ago along with a dryer. The past month, the washer started sounding like an airplane, ready to take off, whenever the spin cycle was on. Then, it started to not start at all on certain cycles or would start to pump water in and then stop suddenly. I had a repair man in today, and it was not good news. He told me that he sees this a lot, especially with the Whirlpool washers and it is costly. The bearings are shot and will cost close to $500 for parts (alone), not costing the price to have it repaired. So now, I have called Whirlpool. The people there are very friendly and sympathetic. But even though I went as high as the supervisor (the highest authority I could speak to), he told me my washer is not on the recall list! I asked what it took to get it on one. Basically, my complaint was filed and end of story. Well, not quite. The supervisor was kind enough to give me the address for the Head Office for Whirlpool Canada. So people, start writing into this address and bombard them with your frustration: Whirlpool Executive Office, 200-6750 Century Avenue, Mississippi, Ontario L5N 0B7. If you have spoken to Whirlpool, ask for your reference number pertaining to your case and include it in your letter along with your phone number. In the meantime, I will be writing a lengthy letter; and I also went out today and bought another washer! Yes, it was not a Whirlpool, and I will never have another Whirlpool appliance in my home. And I will steer anyone away from this brand name. Good luck to all and start writing!

I bought a 50 Gallon Whirlpool Gas Water Heater with an extended warranty from Lowes, it has not been delivering hot water as it should. I checked with Lowes and they told me I needed to call Whirlpool first and get a number from them before they could do anything. I called Whirlpool and they had me do a water volume and a hot water time test. By their own time test guide, my water temperature fell 30 degrees in 13 minutes and 52 seconds, when it should not have dropped 30 degrees until 18 minutes. When I reported this to Whirlpool I was told that there was nothing wrong with the water heater. I then lodged a complaint with the representative but it sounds as if nothing was going to be done.So I am out $999 for a faulty water heater and an extended warranty. Will update if anything changes. One of the reasons we bought this product was it said: MADE IN AMERICA. We wont buy any product made by Whirlpool again, We feel they dont stand behind their product.

I have recently bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer/dryer combo and I wish I had read your reviews before doing so. I spend quite an amount of time washing, re washing, rinsing dark clothes to end up washing them by hand as the washer leaves unsightly white streaks on them. I have tried switching from hot water to cold, using very little detergent, buying clear detergent, then organic detergent, extra rinsing, etc. to no avail. Very frustrated and disappointed. I would gladly join any class action to stop Whirlpool selling these useless but expensive washers.

I purchased a Whirlpool Gold top freezer refrigerator (G2IXEFMWQ03) in May 2011. Six months later, the freezer began to collect frost and eventually clogged the refrigerator port from freezer. Since cold air from the freezer was not going to fridge, I had to turn down the refrigerator temp to lowest setting. I had a service person come out and replace Adaptive Defrost Control under warranty - it would have cost me around $250. Now roughly 12 months after repair, the defrost issue is back. The part cost me $175, and that is if I install it myself. I called and mailed Whirlpool which was a waste of time. This is the last Whirlpool I plan to purchase. For the same issue to occur in this short time span, it has engineering flaw written all over it.

Our double oven was part of our new home purchase so we really didnt have a choice in product. Brand new. Hardly used. The control board replaced because it went bad 2 weeks after install. After one use it had it replaced and it went bad again. Used it once and again same thing. My mom unaware of the issue used the self cleaner as a favor. Well things went really bad. Because the temperature of the self cleaner was too much for the oven and explode and the inside glass shattered. This is not a product that you would want in your home or would recommend for anyone to buy. They do not stand by their product either. Please do not risk your familys life.

The cabrio washer that we purchased in 2010 did a good job of cleaning the clothes but the case started rusting within 6 months. After service calls and e-mails and phone calls, there have been no helpful suggestions beyond buy a complete new case. I hesitate to do that because I am convinced there is a design flaw in the area where the soap dispenser is located which allows the soap to flow between the case and the drum and it eats away theinside of the case through the inadequate paint covering on the outside of the case. It is a mess. Now the instruction panel is bubbling and lifting. I carefully care for my equipment and have kept two washers over 15 years and they still were in good shape with cases still looking new. This is not something I am doing wrong. It is a piece of junk with a terrible paint job and it cost more than any washer I have ever had. I wish I had some recourse. I am on a fixed income and had hoped this would be the last washer I would have to buy. I have photos.

Purchased a matching set, Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washing Machine and Dryer in November of 2012. After just over 2 years, Im stuck replacing the Washing Machine at my expense! The washing machine began leaking water out of the bottom of the unit and became extremely loud when operating it. The repair technician said it was a seal and bearing that needed replaced and the cost of repairing the unit would be cost prohibitive versus replacing the unit all together ($800+)! Originally paid over 2K to purchase these units and have them installed. I do not want to trust or rely on the Whirlpool brand again. I would appreciate any recommendation for a better quality, high capacity, HE washing machine brand to replace the Whirlpool unit with (Samsung, GE, LG)??

We purchased a Whirlpool Duet Front Loading Washer and Dryer. The control panel on the washer went out in March. We called for a repair. The repairman came, told us we needed to replace the control panel and he would order it. My American Express was charged $389.91 on March 26th. I called today, April 9, asking about where the part was and when my machine would be repaired. I was told the part would not be available until July 11, 2013. I cannot believe that a company would expect a customer to wait nearly four months for a part as well as charge them for the parts and labor four months ahead of the part. I have cancelled the service but it will take them three weeks to credit my card back for the part.

Whirlpool Slide-In AquaClean Technology - My beautiful, modern oven is no longer. After 4 tries doing self-cleaning my oven was still dirty. I did have to wipe out the water (although I measured it) before I could take the scraper/sponge provided by Whirlpool to assist in the cleaning. Scraper bent - sponge disintegrated and I still have a dirty oven. Called service. My pleasant service tech informed me the water is only to reach 250 degrees! Really! My dinosaur of a Whirlpool cleaned fabulously! New technology has turned mine into an on your knees, scraping and broiling fool. Fool because I bought into the whole Aqualift Technology. We cannot use any kind of liner, etc. This slide-in may look great but the labor required to keep it that way is beyond this OCD person! So much for my efficient new kitchen. May the engineers who designed this technology be ashamed of this product. It is not even a self-steam cleaner!

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator from Sears and within a month the refrigerator side did not maintain temperature where milk would not spoil... Cool but never cold. I called Sears and they said its Whirlpool warranty to contact them. This I did and about a week later they contacted a local service company they use to maintain their equipment... Long story short this will be the 4th time they were informed the refrigerator still doesnt maintain temperature... Food had to be thrown out because of that.I asked them to refund me my cost or at minimum get a working refrigerator to me because after 4 attempts at trying to fix the problem it still exists... They just want to keep sending a repairman out there who still cant figure out the problem and that has cost me much time away from work not the mention the spoiled food costs... Even when complaining my dilemma to the repairman he said, All they will do is keep calling us and kick the can down the road... They could care less about what it has cost me in time and money... I had to give 1 star to this company but they dont deserve even that one... Dont waste you time thinking a warranty by them is worth a flip and now over 3 months Im without a refrigerator...

I have had my washing Machines since 2011 and have had continuous problems with the washing machine during spin cycle sounding like a freight train going through my house. Whirlpool has had people to my house 5 times to fix. When warranty was up in 2012, I was told they would continue to cover this particular issue. They came out again in April 2013 and now I am being told, Too bad; if you want fixed then you will need to pay for it.

I bought this Whirlpool Cabrio Washer 3 years ago. Yesterday will be my last repair. I installed a new tub (bearing failed have to buy a full tub to replace), new suspension rods and a new stator and rotor (cracked). Last year I replaced a drain pump twice, and a computer board. All of these repairs since I purchased this washer have cost me well over $900 for a $1400 machine. I dont mind replacing a pump every few years but these larger failures are unacceptable. We have moved back to Kenmore on some new appliances we purchased this year as result of trouble with Whirlpool. Whirlpool should send out a recall on the suspension rods; the existing ones seize at the top and stop functioning causing the tub to shake excessively. This led to the cracked motor (rotor cracked).

Two months later, the appliance broke again with the same problem. They serviced it again. Today, it was broken again and the service technician stated that its the magnetron again. I called to get it replaced and they said Whirlpool doesnt replace appliances, they just keep servicing it. **! How can they get away with this!

I always appreciated Whirlpool’s quality, but this brand new stove in my brand new home is a disappointment. The top, back (control panel) gets extremely hot when the oven is in use. The burners are not as easy to regulate, and the broiler (which is under the stove, a negative for me) didn’t come with a broiler pan. That was an additional cost. I had service out in the first 60 days because the oven wasn’t heating properly.

Purchased my Whirlpool Duet front load washer WFW9150WW00 new in 2010. Also purchased extended warranty. After four years, just before my extended warranty was up, the entire inside needed replacing (drums, bearings). Now at only five years old, it keeps making a beeping noise in middle of wash cycle and wont continue working. Serviceman was told by a Whirlpool tech. that it could be two things, one being the door jamb, the other being the control panel. Door jamb was fine. Ordered new control panel ($240), had it installed and yet the washing machine still keeps beeping and doing the same thing. The serviceman doesnt know what else it could be. So, I am forced to return the part and purchase a new washing machine. I would never recommend Whirlpool to anyone!

I spoke with an appliance guy and he says that it is going to cost up to $450 to repair it. The wash cycle does nothing, it just sits there and then it goes to the next cycle. I have grown up in a household that had washing machines that lasted many years. This is a joke. Why am I having to buy a new washer in 3 years? I dont understand. So, I had no problem purchasing the brand. But now, our washer wont go through the cycles and we hare having lid lock issues. The repair guy said the lid lock was fine which I thought was good news because he said it would be $300 to replace including his service call. Now, it looks like our choice is a $350 motherboard, or a new washer. Whats wrong with this picture? I can go to Lowes right now and buy a used one (exactly the same for $399), pay $350 to repair my two-year-old $750 washer, or buy a different washer? Its hard to believe that a $750 washer is only good for 2 years.

I bought a 3 burner glass hob under your built-in cooktop category (model no. AKCG 930-90 cm) in Nov. 2015 from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. In the month of April 2015 I started having problems with the medium burner. The problems was rectified on 29-4-2017 after some replacements that cost me Rs. 5000. After two months again the same problem occurred, the medium burner was not igniting again, I registered a complaint on 5-7-2017, the representative came and did some maintenance and left but the same problem resurfaced after a few days.I was fed up of complaining and started using the burner during necessity by placing a weight on top of the knob. Finally on 15th Feb 2018 while I was using the stove the glass top cracked into pieces. My experience of the companys built-in cooktop is horrible and bitter. Every time I registered a complaint the representatives used to attend the complaint after 2 weeks and that too after so many phone calls. I am really dissatisfied with the service and quality of the product. I therefore strongly recommend customers not to buy this product.

Whirlpool under-counter dishwasher (model DU1345XTVB0) was purchased 14 months ago. Upper rack plastic adjustable wheel rack is broken. Will not replace. Dishwasher has probable design flaw with wheel positions causing overhanging load to put extreme stress on outer two wheels. WOW!!! After reading all of these reviews Im wondering why I didnt see these sooner before I bought my POS Whirlpool fridge! Had our fridge a little less than 2 years and the freezer just does not keep anything cold anymore. Stopped making ice and everything in the freezer started to defrost. We noticed this one day when our ice cream was runny... Yuck! So we looked around online for troubleshooting. We took out the drawers and the back panel... There was a huge chunk of ice right before the coils. The coils themselves were not frosty and we thought that might be a problem, but we didnt know. So we thought this might be the problem. So we took a hairdryer and melted the big chunk of ice. After we did that we then noticed the coils started getting frosty again but not consistently or evenly across all of the coils. I dont know if this is good or not??? So now Im going to purchase a thermometer and see if the actual inside of the freezer is getting up to the correct temp. After reading all of these reviews on here Im thinking Im screwed!!! We also called Whirlpool and they basically said... oh well not our problem. WHAT A ** COMPANY! I will never buy another Whirlpool product again... Even if they offered me a free one I dont think I would take it.

If you are searching for a top freezer refrigerator that works and keeps the food cold, do not buy this brand. I recently ordered a brand new refrigerator from Home Depot, the Whirlpool brand. It was set to standard factory settings, and I let it sit plugged in for 24 hours as required. The fridge was remaining in between 45 to 50°F, and I let it run for another 24 hours after filing a complaint and talking to the people at Whirlpool. The fridge still cannot get beneath 40°F, though the freezer seems to be okay. I spent almost $1000 on the refrigerator, and I’m very disappointed in the quality that this supposedly good brand produces. I went on Facebook marketplace, found an old 1995 Kenmore and bought it for $50. It works so much better than this brand new, fancy looking refrigerator, because back decades ago is when they actually took the time to make quality products, and didn’t make the crap that they do now that breaks down instantly or after only a few years. Unfortunately, and my researching has confirmed this, appliance manufacturers today create bad quality products that break down shortly in order that you will have to purchase more of their products after only a few years. Refrigerators used to last decades, now you’d be lucky if they lasted maybe 8 to 10 years. Trust me on this, don’t waste your time on this brand. A refrigerator should have no problem on factory settings getting at or below 40°F within 24 hours. DON’T BUY THIS JUNK!

The dishwasher never cleaned the dishes, always left a film on everything, cant clean out the drain area, the screens don’t come off and less a year later the dishwasher top rack literally fell off and broke all the glasses that were loaded in it and the fridge keeps freezing all my food!!! I keep having to adjust the thermostat up down up down just to make it doesn’t freeze. Now that the warranty is no good on any of the crap I will no doubt be charged an arm and a leg to get it fixed, which definitely won’t be worth it!!! Whirlpool is such crap!!! Made in America no wonder!!! Don’t buy any whirlpool anything!!! You will be very VERY disappointed!!! I’ve bought plenty of brand new appliances. Whirlpool is an absolutely terrible company. I bought a stove and a microwave. The stoves lower drawer would fall off its track every time I opened it because it only had a single track at the front instead of one that went to the back to keep it stable. It scratched my baseboards horribly and was a huge pain. When I called to complain, they said they had no record of such a problem and were completely useless, despite the fact that the store I got it from acknowledged having the same problem and said that Whirlpool came out to fix it for them. Maybe Whirlpool only helps corporate customers so they can keep fooling people into buying their unbelievably ** products. The plastic casing around the microwave door handles started cracking (first the bottom cracked and a large piece fell off and now the second is cracking). I called to complain and was informed that because this was happening over a year after purchase (the microwave is 1 year and 2 months old) they couldnt do anything about it. The last time I checked, appliances are meant to last longer than a year before they literally fall apart. What a joke. I will never buy Whirlpool again and I will make a point of telling every single person I ever know whos buying a home to avoid their products as well. What an epic fail.

I purchased my Cabrio a little over three years ago. Within the first month, the computer board had to be replaced and the tech informed me that it was not a malfunction in the unit; rather, it was because I did not have a sock bag for my socks and panties. I replaced the board, bought a sock bag and had no problems for about 1.5 years. A little over a year ago, the un-level started. I did research and found that I needed to replace the rods and add couplers as they were not thought of when the unit was created. This worked for an entire month. Now, I am in the same position again. It takes about 6 tries per load and the amount of water I am using is increasing with each failed attempt to wash. There should be a recall on this product. I notice there are many other complaints that match my frustrations exactly.

Overall, I am happy with my Cabrio BUT we purchased a Whirlpool WTW7000DW0 Cabrio top loading washer w/ electronic touch panel in May 2016. We experienced water hammer from day one. I finally had enough yesterday and knowing that the plumbing could be suffering (15 year old condo), purchased 2 Sioux Chief MiniRester, Model 660-H arresters (Lowes at $9.99 each) and had a plumber install them today. I could have but am nursing a fractured rib. Long story short, they work perfectly. There is NO indication elsewhere in the unit that water is even entering the tub unless youre standing right beside it.Ive been told that hammer problems exist in ALL high efficiency washers, all are prone to this problem. I was also told by a Whirlpool support person that the Cabrio is a Samsung design and the pulsing of supply water off and on, over and over is normal operation. If I had been informed when purchasing that hammer is a common problem, I would have installed arresters from the get-go. At the very least, manufacturers should include arresters as a part of the sale; installers should make sure that every new installation includes arresters. All told, I am out just under $200.00 for new technology that really could have been engineered out in the beginning.

This is an ongoing problem. I have had to thaw the refrigerator (which takes over 24 hours). Then I blow out the drain with my air compressor, run water through, etc. The drain freezes up a good way down. It is a big pain in the **. There has to be a design flaw for this to continually happen. I paid for a repair man one time but he did nothing different from what I am doing. I cant afford the prices they charge. Shame on Whirlpool for making inferior products.

We have a Whirlpool Refrigerator, Model # ED5HHEXTQ00. And every shelf has cracked, the water and ice dispensing levers have broken off. Now our produce trays are broken as well. I do not recommend Whirlpool products to anyone. They will not stand behind their product! There is obviously a problem with the plastic used on the shelves and trays. I have read of others complaining of the same issues!Whirlpool! You need to step up to the plate and recall these shelves, and replace them for your customers!

FRUSTRATION!!! It is unbelievable that even appliances have become DISPOSABLE! Where are the days of when our parents bought well made appliances that LASTED 20 years with NO problems??? There was satisfaction knowing that a purchase of an appliance was $$ well spent! These days it costs MORE to replace parts than IF you purchased a brand new machine! We purchased BRAND NEW Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer AND dryer in 2007. The washer has been repaired a total of 5 times and the dryer 3 times!!! IN A SPAN OF 10 YEARS! Are you serious?! With the $$ spent on warranties/ labor/ parts: WE could have purchased new appliances. What is WRONG with this picture? IT IS ALL about making money on REPLACING PARTS/WARRANTIES/LABOR!!! Forget the consumer that is spending THEIR hard earned money to buy the appliances initially. Short of going to a laundromat, the consumer needs to purchase a washer & dryer. So I guess it is a vicious cycle of REPAIRS/REPAIRS AND MORE REPAIRS!!!

Purchased on 9/12 at Home Depot. Ice maker paid for as stated in ad for home depot, did not come with fridge. Tech needed for warm food, had to repair gasket. Tech needed for cracked handle. 6 calls for freezing food in fridge compartment. No resolve. Whirlpool wanted a 2nd opinion and another tech came deeming the fridge unrepairable. Not good enough for Whirlpool. After speaking to several customer service agents, they said they do not refund or replace, only repair. I have lost hundreds of dollars of food from freezing. My fridge is reading at 31 deg. This is way below what it is supposed to read at. No call from Whirlpool since last tech came. Their customer service is terrible and cold. Whirlpool Corp. was not any help either. You can see the problem with this model if you look up Whirlpool fridge freezing food in Florida, as a woman there called ABC news and they reported it. I will also do the same.

I purchased this LOVELY top loader on May 19, 2012 - the lid is broken and wont stay up. I am 4 ft. 11 inches and I need a stool to reach the clothing at the bottom. Kind of hard to hold up the lid and scoop clothes with the other hand!!! Today, I discovered it is rusting from the inside out!!! From what??? Pulled it forward to clean the floor underneath and discovered it has rusted and corroded even on to the matching dryer - white finish!??! Guilty by association! AAAHHH!!! I wish I could upload the picture! Whirlpool and LEONs warranty - they have some explaining to do.

Burners always needed replacing and now do not work anymore - Whirlpool range looks nice, but very expensive to maintain. The burners constantly needed replacing, they do not heat up. I got a repair technician to look at it. He replaced the parts that the burners hook into. Now they do not heat up at all. Well, one of four barely boils water. The oven still works, oh great. The thing is only 7 years old. I have had ovens that lasted 20+ years at my dads house or 15 years at another house I lived in. With all the negative comments and the repair guy who tried to fix it, I think it is time to get the kids Easy-Bake Ovens out of the storage or buy a new range. Obviously, it will not be a Whirlpool. So many negative comments people left, my useless top burners seem mild comparatively.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator January 2016. 4 months later the refrigerator stopped working. It took over a week for Whirlpool to have it repaired. Two weeks later the refrigerator stopped working again. It took four days for Whirlpool to get a repair man to my house. I called customer service 4x asking for a replacement or loaner or possibly they could expedite the repairs. All they could do was recite my warranty to me stating that they are only responsible for repairs. I was in touch with their executive office and was pretty much told tough patooties - my warranty only covers repair. The executive office told me to wait for a third breakdown and then we could talk about an exchange. WHAT??? I have to suffer a third inconvenience before Whirlpool will do anything??? I lost hundreds of dollars in food, have to live two weeks without refrigeration in 95 degree Florida weather, had to go shopping on a daily basis or eat fast food (at my expense) because I couldnt even keep milk for breakfast cereal. I filed a claim with BBB only to have Whirlpool close the claim stating that they fixed the refrigerator.

My Whirlpool French Door refrigerator will have its TWO year old birthday on September 15, 2015.. only if it lives that long! On August 8, one month and one week short of its 2nd birthday the compressor died. Of course the manufacturers warranty expired after one year. Thankfully, I purchased an extended warranty through the retailer. While this will cover my repairs, there is nothing that will cover the hundreds of dollars worth of spoiled frozen and refrigerated products which had to be discarded. I will NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT!

My landlord replaced our old Whirpool topload washer with a Whirlpool HE topload machine last year. Looks sleek, lots of settings BUT IT DOES NOT GET CLOTHES CLEAN - not on any setting, not if loaded as recommended or under-loaded, not if I use more or less detergent, and not if I follow all the tips for getting rid of residue. This machine so under-performs I have to spot clean my clothes AFTER I was them. And were not talking deep dirt or grime here, or things that need special treatment, Just ordinary dirt dirt, to which the machine adds gray streaks of dirty water residue. Thank God I didnt buy this turkey for myself -- I will NEVER buy one of these machines. I did two small rugs today and they came out dingier than they went in. These machines should be recalled. If I could give it less than one star, I would.

Whirlpool side by side. When the compressor cycles, there is a loud knocking noise. Called Whirlpool when under warranty with no results. They could not tell me the cause of the knocking. Sort of live with it attitude. The funny part is when we have someone visiting and the knocking starts, they are puzzled as to why we are not answering the door. Sounds like someone knocking on the front door. We have been whirlpool customers for 30 years. Probably will not be so in the future. Too bad that a great company has go the way of the Nash and Studebaker automobile.

I called Whirlpool and talked to a customer service rep. Of course, this is not under warranty. So I asked to speak with a supervisor. All I could get from her is Sorry, youre disappointed. We can replace that part for $87.71. It has taken me over two hours to clean up all the glass. I wouldnt be upset if I had mishandled the glass, but it broke when I was drying it with a towel! I’m wondering if anyone elses glass shattered in the same fashion.

I purchased this washer and at the same time had gotten a puppy, I only mention the puppy because she is the one who kept getting blamed for what was happening to my clothes. I NEVER thought that it was my washing machine that was ruining my clothing, until I finally opened the door one day and my shirt was hanging from the top of the washer opening, and suddenly it all made sense! I kept thinking that the puppy was chewing my clothes but it is actually the washer that is sucking my clothing into the opening of the washer and when it gets stuck and the rest of the garment keeps spinning, it creates a burn in the clothing. I found out the hard way that Whirlpool will just blame the consumer for not knowing how to properly follow washing instructions, or their instructions, and will not take any sort of responsibility for it being the washer itself! I wrote to them after my father passed away and I washed his sweater in the washer and it got caught in the washer and ruined it. They blamed me for it and basically said I did not follow the proper washing instructions. I have been washing clothes for over 20 years and I know how to do laundry. I have read every inch of the owners manual and NOTHING tells you that during the wash cycle, your clothes may become sucked into the opening and ruined! So I went online to see if this was happening to anyone else and I was amazed at how many people this is actually happening to! There should have been a recall on these washers and I am amazed there has not been some sort of class action lawsuit.

I purchased a washing centre at Canadian Appliance Source. I paid to have it delivered, installed and for them to take away my old appliances. I had several issues and when I called the store, they sent me to Whirlpool warranty who dispatched a repair technician a few days later. With nothing solved to my satisfaction, I called Whirlpool again. I spoke to a customer service rep who gave these responses, she put me through to a manager who gave me the same responses. When I asked to speak with someone above her, she said she could put me through to another person at her level but noone at a higher level.I want to hear the same response again? Really? Her only other answer was to email the Whirlpool Executive, which will be my next step. This is a summary only of my experience of the first few days after the purchase.Problem: The first load I washed was 1 set of blue sheets with 2 pillow cases. The water didnt seem to cover the load but I thought when it started to wash, they would get wet. When I took the sheets out of the washer, there were several dry spots and some kind of residue on several areas, so not washed or cleaned as expected. I tried washing one sheet, same thing. Tech solution: Put in some wet items to the load so the washer thinks the load is heavier and will add more water, or add a bucket of water to the load, Really? Whirlpool response: The washer is working as expected. Really? Problem: I did a warm water wash, expecting the machine to dispense a mix of hot and cold AT THE SAME TIME making it warm water. The washer starts with cold water then stops and puts in hot water. I dont want cold water or hot water on this load I want warm as recommended by the manufacturer! Tech solution:Dont use warm water wash. Really? Whirlpool response: Works as expected. Really?Problem: Dryer is way too hot on the delicate cycle, not good for delicates! Tech solution: Use the air dry cycle. Really? Whirlpool response: Dryer is working as expected. Really?Problems I didnt even discuss: The load is really really wrinkled when it comes out of the washer. Who wants to have to go back to ironing everything they own? The washer tub and dryer are really really small! I should have read more reviews and headed the warnings! Comments: I purchased online, biggest mistake. The store will not take it back. Whirlpool will not take it back. Hindsight is 2020! If I could have given negative stars, I would have.

Cabrio Washer - I am so disgusted with this product. After only a few months service came out and the repairman told me it was normal for a load to run for 8+ hours. Second repairman replaced the circuit boards and it has lasted 11 weeks. Now it is not working again. Calling tomorrow. I have a bad feeling about what the end result will be. Expect I will be buying a new washer, will not be a Whirlpool. Just went and tried what another reviewer does to get it to run... Pause/start/pause/start. After 8 tries it is now running. I will not live with this. Not going to spend a dime to fix this piece of garbage. Still have 36 days left on extended warranty.

I think the whirlpool washer is a very nice machine. I think it does a good job of cleaning but still has the tub odor problem that a lot of front load machines have. As far as reliability it has done pretty well but I did have to replace the tub bellow and it is only 5 years old. It also makes a lot of noise so it is not a quiet machine at all. The steam option on the washer is a nice feature but not sure how much it does to help clean stuff.

I bought a new home from Pulte recently. All of the kitchen appliances were Whirlpool which came with a 1 year warranty. I have had problems with 2 out of the three that were installed. The oven had a faulty control panel. I am still waiting for the replacement from Whirlpool which I am told could be months getting there. The dishwasher they installed, FX1700017, leaks water from the vent at the top of the door. When you open the door after running a load, there is a puddle under the vent from water that is trapped in the vent. The service company that they sent out said it is a design flaw and there is no fix for it.Whirlpool just keeps saying since there arent any error codes coming up, there isnt a problem with the way the dishwasher is functioning. I was told I could pay for another opinion, but they wouldnt guarantee to reimburse me if they couldnt prove the dishwasher wasnt functioning properly. I guess they dont consider someone slipping and falling because they didnt see the puddle before it got cleaned up a problem. I have given up trying to get anywhere with Whirlpool. I will take my $150.00 for a second opinion and the $200.00 that they want for an extended warranty and put it toward a dishwasher that doesnt leak! Beware!!

Whirlpool Dishwasher model # WDT720PADB. Replaced an old Maytag that was 12 years old; cleaned great but finally the pump gave out. From the first day that we cleaned dishes with the new Whirlpool, the dishes were not as clean as the old Maytag and totally wet even when the heated dry cycle was on. Repeated calls to Whirlpool customer service and two technician visits and still the same results. We end up drying every load by hand. Now after 14 months (two months out of warranty) only the silverware wash jets are working with all other zones inoperative. This machine is a plastic piece of junk and all it takes is one look at the cheap construction and components to say that Whirlpool engineers are competing with the Chinese made brands. I purchased a 50 gallon Whirlpool water heater, model FG1J5040T3, in November, 2005, and have had the same experience as reported by the hundreds of others, whose comments I have been reading. Basically, pilot wont stay lit. I called Whirlpool, relight the heater, when it doesnt relight, wait to receive repair parts, call a plumber, and pay to have them install it, then repeat same problems. Each time going for a week or so, without hot water. After relighting the heater 10 times in the past year, and service calls, Whirlpool authorized me yesterday to return it to Lowes, and get a replacement. I need to hire a plumber to unhook it, haul it to Lowes, get the new one, and install it. It cost me about $300 to $400. Will the replacement be any better? I am considering just replacing the heater with one made by Rheem.
