PROBLEM: Default F code-no failure 
FIX: The F0 code displays if there are no previous fault codes and you hold the CANCEL key for 5 seconds. Press CANCEL to clear the display. 

CODE: F1 
PROBLEM: Defective electronic oven control (EOC) 
FIX: Disconnect power or unplug the range. Replace the electronic oven control (EOC). 

CODE: F2/E0 
PROBLEM: Keypad wire harness is disconnected 
FIX: Disconnect power or unplug the range. Reconnect the keypad wire harness if loose. Restore electrical power to the range and press CANCEL. If the error code returns after 60 seconds, replace the keypad. If the problem persists, replace the electronic oven control. 

CODE: F2/E5 or F2/E6 
PROBLEM: Cancel key is defective 
FIX: Disconnect power or unplug the range. Reconnect the keypad wire harness if loose. Restore electrical power to the range and press CANCEL. If the error code returns after 60 seconds, replace the keypad. If the problem persists, replace the electronic oven control.

FIX: Disconnect power or unplug the range. Reconnect the oven temperature sensor wire harness if loose. Replace the wire harness if damaged. Measure the oven temperature sensor resistance using a volt/ohm meter. If the resistance isn't 1080 ohms at room temperature (70 degrees F), replace the oven temperature sensor. If the oven temperature sensor resistance and wire harness connections are okay, replace the electronic oven control (EOC). 

CODE: F3/E2 
PROBLEM: Oven temperature is over 575 degrees F in Bake mode. 
FIX: Disconnect power or unplug the range. Reconnect the oven temperature sensor wire if loose. Replace the wire harness if damaged. Measure the oven temperature sensor resistance using a volt/ohm meter. If the resistance isn't 1080 ohms at room temperature (70 degrees F), replace the oven temperature sensor. If the oven temperature sensor resistance and wire harness connections are okay, replace the electronic oven control (EOC). 

CODE: F3/E3 
PROBLEM: Oven temperature is over 950 degrees F in Clean mode 
FIX: Disconnect power or unplug the range. Reconnect the oven temperature sensor wire if loose. Replace the wire harness if damaged. Measure the oven temperature sensor resistance using a volt/ohm meter. If the resistance isn't 1080 ohms at room temperature (70 degrees F), replace the oven temperature sensor. If the oven temperature sensor resistance and wire harness connections are okay, replace the electronic oven control (EOC). 

CODE: F4/E1 
PROBLEM: Meat probe shorted 
FIX: Disconnect power or unplug the range. Unplug the meat probe and measure the resistance of the meat probe using a volt/ohm meter. If the resistance isn't 59,000 ohms at room temperature, replace the meat probe. If the resistance of the meat probe is okay, insert the meat probe in the jack and check for a firm connection between the probe and jack in the oven. If the jack is damaged or worn out, replace it. Reconnect the wire harness connection on the meat probe jack if loose. Replace the wire harness if damaged. 

CODE: F5/E0 
PROBLEM: Door is open, but latch is locked (door switch communicates an open door, but latch switch communicates a locked door) 
FIX: Test the oven door switch operation using the oven light. Open and close the oven door to see if the oven door switch turns the oven light on and off when the oven door is opened and closed. If the oven door switch is defective, replace it. Disconnect power or unplug the oven. Reconnect any loose wires on the oven door lock assembly wire harness. Replace the wire harness if damaged. Check the door lock assembly for visible damage and replace it if broken. 

CODE: F5/E1 
PROBLEM: Self-clean latch won't lock/unlock 
FIX: Disconnect power or unplug the range. Reconnect any loose wires on the oven door lock assembly wire harness. Replace the wire harness if damaged. Check the door lock assembly for visible damage and replace it if broken.

We purchased the Whirlpool refrigerator (model ED5LVAXVQ00) 4 years ago. The plastic around the top shelf cracked within two years but is not a warranty item. Now, all the plastic surrounding shelves have cracks and the slides for the pull out drawers are also broken. My wife and I are retired and have not overstressed the shelves. The cost for replacing the cracked plastic will be approximately $250 (hardly worth fixing)! We are very disappointed that a once reputable company would build and market such an inferior product. I hope this comment will warn prospective buyers to be careful when considering Whirlpool refrigerators. Very disappointed!

I got an email back from a subcontractor called Active Appliance INC. with a date service on February 6th, 2015, 4 days after my service request, and that is the only available date. The technician arrived while I am not at the house, however I talked to him before he started the work on my refrigerator and asked him kindly if he can call me after founding the issue, and he assured me that he will. No call and when I arrived home I found that he told the attendant that the refrigerator is not working and he has to report to the office. REALLY! We know that! Anyway I called Active Appliance and the customer services rep. told me that she could not answer with the diagnose until she speak with the technician and that will be Monday February 9th, I asked if I could speak with a manager, and her reply was Our managers do not talk to the customers. I had to hang up and call Whirlpool customer services and spoke with a nice gentleman, that he was not happy with Active Appliance INC. services. He placed me on hold and called them and within 3 minute he got back with the news, what was wrong with the refrigerator, electric computer panel burned out and then the fan continue to work with no stop, so it burned as well. He assured me that the services will be done no later than Tuesday February, 10th.While on the phone I got a call from active appliance and this time she wanted to know if I am warranted. I told her that I have Whirlpool on the other line and they assured me that I am. She said that it does not matter and she has to get something in writing. I placed her on hold and talked with Whirlpool and he assured me that he will contact them and email me a confirmation, which he did. By Tuesday February 10th, no call no follow up. I called Active appliance and they stated that it would take up to 14 working days for a part to arrive. I called Whirlpool and spoke with a customer services manager, and she got on the phone and told me that they are going to do their best and get back with me. Today February 16th I got a call to cancel a work service order due to technician calling sick and reschedule for February 25th Wednesday, I told her that they did not call to schedule the service first place, her answer was Never mind, I am calling to cancel anyway. Would you like to take this appointment or NOT? I asked her kindly to reevaluate their service procedures and the way they handle their customer, and I told her that I bought my refrigerator from Whirlpool and they are the company in charge of their product and I do not wish to continue this dialog with Active Appliance!I called Whirlpool and the customer service gentleman was helping me and we got disconnected, however when I called back they were closed for the day, however the customer service has my phone number but I got no phone call!!!! I think this is the worst POOR service I got within the last 20 years!!!!! I hope someone at Whirlpool care about their services and can contact me to handle the issue.

I purchased a new gas water heater from Lowes and paid a plumber to install it. I have been having problems with it staying lit. Once I noticed the issue, I notified my plumber and the plumber was aware of this on-going issue with these water heaters. The plumber told me to call Whirlpool and have them send me a new thermocouple. Ive been putting it off until now, but realized today over the phone with Whirlpool Customer Service that the problem is with the vent. The manual that came with the water heater has a horizontal venting installation, yet Whirlpool claims that it should be vented through to the roof and they sent me, via email, the correct manual. When I asked Whirlpool how the plumber was supposed to know, she said that he should have known that it was not the correct manual (even though there is no model number written anywhere in the instructions manual) and that we should call to make sure that we have the right manual before installing my next product. So, I need to double check every purchase I make! Or is this only with Whirlpool products? After speaking with two different Whirlpool reps, I have concluded that I need to purchase a new water heater, but believe me, it will not be another Whirlpool!

Got told no they have no problems with it. Found out later not only do they have this problem with it they change design because of it. Repairman said his own daughter had same problem and he had many service calls on this model all with same problem. WHIRLPOOL WILL NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE PRODUCT WHICH IS A MANUFACTURE DEFAULT. It sets in our house unusable. I will never buy a whirlpool product again. Sad because that use to be all I would buy.

After calling Whirlpool service center they set up an appointment for a service call. The repairman came out said it was the refrigerator fan motor and another piece. He tried to order both but was told the parts would have to come from Lakeland, Florida and it would take about 5 days or so to receive them. We called Whirlpool. After being on the phone forever they finally said they would overnight the part to our home address then we should call the repairman to make a return visit. We received the parts last Thursday, called the repairman and he couldnt make it out here until today. When he got here and started to replace the part he discovered Whirlpool had sent the wrong fan motor. He called Whirlpool and they said the part was on back order and it would be shipped in 5 plus days or so. Both my husband and I talked with Whirlpool and the only thing they were willing to do is if they find the part they will ship it overnight then we would have to call the repairman and schedule another service call. They did say if we found the part they would reimburse us for the part. They wouldnt talk with us about replacing the fridge, etc. I will be out of a refrigerator for what looks like 2 plus weeks and this is not acceptable service from a company like Whirlpool. Pretty much everything in our fridge has gone bad. Whirlpool is not even willing to compensate us for our loss of food. They said all they could was offer us a 6 month extended warranty. We are completely unhappy with their service or rather lack thereof.

When I moved into my current home, this dishwasher(Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1) was already installed. It had never been used until I moved in. After two years of 2-3 times a week use, I have major problems. It will not complete a wash cycle, regardless of what settings I use. It runs long enough for the soap dispenser to release the Finish tablets which dissolve, but then the dishwasher stops running. The dishes are not clean, and neither is the interior of the dishwasher. It also appears to be leaking when it runs. I cannot afford to replace it, so either I will repair it myself or use it to store pots and pans.This is not my first disappointment with a Whirlpool product. A Kenmore refrigerator made by Whirlpool lasted 7 years before the compressor failed. Apparently, the self-cleaning coils werent and caused the compressor to fail. The refrigerator I have where I now live is a Whirlpool over 20 years old and runs perfectly. Apparently Whirlpool quality has deteriorated badly in the last two decades. I will never buy another Whirlpool kitchen appliance because of the dishwasher and new refrigerator experiences. When I searched the Internet for fixes for both appliances, I found many other owners having the same problems I have had.

We purchased a new Cabrio top loading washer in June of 2011 to replace a Maytag Neptune (thinking at the time that wed gone as low as possible). We didnt abuse the machine. In fact, because it had a tempered glass lid (in a plastic frame), we were careful with the lid on the machine. It broke during a wash cycle. Because its heavy, the lid has spring supports on both sides; these are stronger than the plastic frame and over time the frame will break, rendering the machine inoperable. The discounted price for a new lid is over $200, and Maytag (I mean Whirlpool) tells us that it lasted through the 365 day warranty, so the bill is on us. It may be green when it works, but taking 18 month appliances to the landfill is not very green. And others on the web report say that the lid only lasts a year or so. The ratings scale needs to have negative values. Id give this appliance a -5.

(Each service call costs $85.85.) The upper tray has come off the tracks more than 10 times. The drainage mechanism broke the first time we used the dishwasher. The fuse box (which is amazingly a self-contained, enclosed, black box) has blown twice, has to be completely replaced, and costs over $180. The second time it broke, I ordered, paid for, and had delivered the replacement part only to find out that the broken part suddenly started working again. (I guess Ill have the $180 part for the next time it breaks.) To suggest that this product is junk is an understatement. It will be replaced very shortly.

And it is under warranty and Lowes in Dallas, Texas where I purchased it has seen the evidence. I rolled in with a suitcase full of different examples of ruined items and some photos. The repair person Whirlpool sent out was nice but not willing to document clothes and said the machine is fine after a few diagnostics digital checks. He did not run a load of clothes! And it takes forever to set up. My wait was over 3 weeks. etc. Lowes has been incredibly wonderful but states the warranty is Whirlpools decision and all Lowes needs is a RA (return authorization from Whirlpool) and Lowes is happy for me to buy whatever ever washer I like and even are willing to give me a discount as they know how horribly Whirlpool has treated me.The manager stayed on speaker phone with me for over an hour. My husband is a lawyer and I will further pursue this situation as Whirlpool hopes I will just drop it by March when my Whirlpool warranty runs out or give up from protocol internal exhaustion. As they have insulted me in every way... Even suggesting I sell the defective machine to someone else... And I said, How in good faith and having a conscience could I do that? Anyway after spending a lifetime it seems trying my best to get this resolved with a cauliflower ear from being on the phone for so many hours with their resolution leaders and specialists etc. It is obvious I am about to have to go on social media and do everything I can to Save others from this time waster, Save their laundry, etc. and Did I mention at times it leaks a little bit of water out the front. As it was the least of my worries as I was showing nice tech my expensive ruined 900.00 ski pants, ruined shirts etc. I think the machine cost around a 1,000 to 1,200 so... Will get back to you for an update. I have a whole file folder on documentation now and it is not about the money or the fact I cannot wash clothes. It is down to principle... On my third top-level resolution leader in MI. -Jim- basically had me read between the lines that I was dealing with a Fortune 500 company and would never win. He is underestimating the level of frustration and lengths I will go to not be taken advantage of as a woman, a career girl, a wife and a yoga teacher. I will be in Yoga warrior mode and this is disheartening as all I want to do is wash my clothes. Did I mention all my Lulu Lemon pants are ruined and I never put them in the dryer! Only delicate cold etc. Have them remain intact etc. really simple here but Whirlpool not standing by their warranties. And my whole home is outfitted with Jen-air, Kitchen-Aid, Maytag etc. which are all owned by the same company so I have been a very loyal customer who possibly just got a lemon. We have reported it to Whirlpool and different technicians have attempted to repair it but it is still faulty. When the standard warranty ran out I purchased the Extended Warranty Protection from Whirlpool but it is WORTHLESS and they cannot fix it! The last technician from Philips Appliance in San Diego was terrible. He said he would order a new control board but never did and he closed the case without telling us.When I called Whirlpool to check on the status of the problem I was told that they will not look at or change parts for intermittent problems so what did I pay the extended warranty money for? When the oven does not ignite there is a smell of gas and we are now concerned that it may be dangerous so we are about to dump this useless Whirlpool gas range to a purchase a LG model! Bottom line is NEVER BUY Whirlpool and NEVER WASTE your money on a Whirlpool Extended Warranty Plan!

The cleaning process left major scrum below the window inside the door & below, which wasnt there before I did the clean. I take great pride in keeping my oven clean, do not allow build up because then you cant get it clean. This stove is less than a year old & has only been in place for 6 1/2 mths (I purchased before remodeling was complete).My last stove I sold easily, it was clean & guess what. It was 32 years old, only replaced because of updating our kitchen!!! I contacted whirlpool & they said its cosmetic & not covered. I called Lowes, they refer me to the service advance phone #. Well that was Whirlpool, not Lowes. Still nothing being done, other than they sent me cleaning stuff to try and get it cleaned (still working on that). Im concerned this stove is going to continue to have issues & will be out of warranty soon. Whirlpool is not standing behind their products & we have been Whirlpool customers for a long time. If I have more issues with this stove, we will never purchase Whirlpool again. Dont buy their products, they dont stand behind them!

My Whirlpool microwave door started cracking little by little. Pieces started falling off. My warranty company stated it was cosmetics, so my warranty did not cover it. Finally, the whole door came off. The warranty company finally agreed to replace the door. Less then a month after replacing the door, part of the handle cracked off. There must be some sort of defect in the plastic used to make these doors, and if so, there should be a recall.

Discussions with Whirlpool by phone were unsuccessful in getting the repair covered.Ultimately, this repair cost us $265.00. In late April, 9 months after the warranty expired, the refrigerator iced up and had to be manually defrosted, despite being equipped with ADS. My family and I did the defrosting because it was a weekend and tech support was not available. On Monday, the refrigerator was functioning, so I was told to run it and see what happens and call the tech if it happens again. I had done research online and found many folks were having trouble with this refrigerator model and the main problem was the control board”, a board that is used in many Whirlpool refrigerators. I ordered one after the initial problem and waited for it to ice up again. On Sunday, May 20, it repeated the same symptoms displayed and I put the board in myself and it solved the problem. This computer board cost me $95.81.I contacted Whirlpool about the two premature, post-warranty expiration issues in hopes of getting some reimbursement for the repairs. The Whirlpool rep told me that because there had not been a recall on either appliance, they could not reimburse me. They instead offered me a 6-month extension on the dishwasher I bought last July. I have been on several complaint websites and have seen the refrigerator control board repeatedly mentioned - all within the approximate 2-year timeline as my control board failed. My refrigerator was a GB9FHDXWQ01 model, but the control board is used in many of their refrigerators. If this has happened to you, please contact me at ** and, hopefully, together we can get enough data to get a recall and get proper treatment from Whirlpool. On contacting Customer Service, they continued to say monotonously out of warranty even though it is obvious to even a layman that this hinge/lid is not fit for the job and the manufacturing material has failed. They kept reeling off all sorts of protocols but would not send any of them as a copy. This is the worst service I have had from any company. The service is despicable and they should be ignored and banned from every consumer list. I appreciate that it is out of warranty, but the runaround I am getting seems to me that they expect their product to fail after the warranty expires and they are not surprised at all by catastrophic failures so soon.

This is the second time the machine has broken down within 5 years. (Dont even ask me about my nightmare with LG dishwashers!) This time the wire harness is the culprit, a part which apparently has been redesigned & which has been on back order indefinitely - all Sears can tell me is it might be available sometime in October. Is it coming from overseas, I ask. No, Delaware, Ive been told. And it could be as long as into November. While they did tell me I could begin to pursue a replacement machine by the 21st day of non-use, I am so weary of the life energy this appliance nightmare is sapping from me simply to resolve this. And Sears and Whirlpool dont seem at all concerned with the massive amounts of junked appliances winding up in our collective landfill as we all tolerate this built-in obsolescence. Besides the obvious wear & tear issue on my wood floors in replacing the machine (the dryer positioned next to it on a pedestal in my cramped powder room/laundry room will also need to be reinstalled in order to get both to fit properly), what about the consummate waste of having these machines reach the end of their life expectancy after a mere 5 years? I wish Id never upgraded our appliances. In the 7 years since we did, our LG dishwasher has failed innumerable times and been replaced multiple times, until we finally replaced multiple versions with a Bosch (so far, so good); our Kenmore Elite range has also failed and needed repair; my washer has died twice. Shouldnt we expect better when we pay top dollar? And if not Consumer Reports, then why isnt the Attorney Generals Office investigating this clear fleecing of the consumer, Sears policy in which sales people aggressively hound consumers like me into purchasing expensive service contracts, making all sorts of unreliable claims and limited time only price quotes. And then when the consumer actually needs a repair, is treated like Im last in a long line of unhappy customers. Maybe if current embattled Sears CEO Edward Lampert had to face weeks of doing his own familys laundry in a laundromat while he waited for a part on backorder from Sears, he might recognize not only a lot of other people waiting on a Sears part there too. But that while on his watch, the Sears name has eroded big-time as he sacrificed quality in his relentless drive for profits.

I said no to that, and a rep called and offered to replace the unit, which is exactly what Whirlpool should have done for all of you. I am writing this out of courtesy for Whirlpool. They did the right thing for me, and I truly do appreciate that. On the other hand, Lowes wants $700 to deliver and install the new unit. I live seven miles from the store. They set my other water, the Whirlpool I purchased from them, up in my garage. It is extremely easy to get to, and it is all up to code. In other words, even though they sold me a defective product and profited from both the sale and the delivery, they now want to do it all over again by charging so much for the set up. They did not even offer to prorate the new install. Of course, I will hire and pay a certified plumber to do the job, but I am very sorry to lose Lowes. I have always enjoyed shopping there. Home Depot is just across the street, and even though I have learned not to purchase a water heater, or any major appliance there either, I will go there from now on. Losing my business might not worry Lowes a whole lot, but two years ago I bought $5,000 worth of fencing from them, and God knows how much over the years. If you and I and all the thousands of other unhappy customers would stop going there, they might feel a bit sorry for doing us all so dirty. Agreed? Thanks again, you guys.

Whirlpool knows these stainless steel fridges have the potential to rust. Its listed in their manual. Unfortunately, buyers arent given a copy of that manual to peruse BEFORE they buy the product. I would never have purchased this Whirlpool fridge had I seen that! I have now since read of other Whirlpool stainless steel fridges rusting.

When I first bought this machine I loved the big tub, but I was concerned that there was no agitator. It confuses me how clothes can get clean if there is nothing to rub them again. Even in the olden days they rub clothes against a board. Well my concern is valid and I believe the washing machine industry needs to go back to the old model, as this new version does not work.Here are all the problems: 1) The machine judges how much water to put in. This doesnt work. I follow the directions and outline the perimeter and dont overload, yet still it just barely puts in enough water to make the clothes wet. Im all for conserving the environment, but enough water needs to be provided to actually get the clothes clean. I would like to be the judge of how much water should be used, so I would like to be able to tell the machine if it is a small, medium or large load. I do believe that the lack of enough water is why the clothes do not come out as clean as they should and why they end up smelling (see #4). 2) There is no agitator, so there is really nothing available to help clean the clothes. Spinning them around like a maniac is not enough, which leads me to the next problem. 3) The clothes come out twisted terribly and then many times come out of the dryer wrinkled because of how hard they were twisted. I tried to select a less harsh spin cycle, but then the clothes are too wet to put in the dryer. There is no happy medium.4) Biggest problem to date: Our clothes/towels have all started smelling. You know that smell when you leave your clothes in the washer too long (like two days) and then put them in the dryer? Its that smell. The clothes/towels dont smell when you immediately take them out, but they do smell at any bit of moisture. When I dry myself off after the shower, I notice the newly washed bath towel smells like a wet dog. I have used the pods, liquid detergent and powder. I dont remember having the smell problem when I first bought the machine and used powder, so I just returned to using powder today. (Ive even tried doubling up on the pods, but the clothes still smell.)This leads me to problem number 5: When using powder in this machine, the machine does not empty the powder container completely, and so the clothes do not get the required amount of detergent. Often there are clumps left over in the powder dispenser, but not always. (This is what led me to go to the pods and liquid detergent in the first place.) But at least with powder (I use Gain) my towels dont stink after the first time I used them.I wouldnt recommend this machine. I really researched machines before I purchased this one, but they all had bad reviews, so how do you pick? And I never look at the good reviews because we all know so many people are paid to rave about products they know nothing about, or it is a company employee writing the review. This machine is a huge disappointment. I am going to try adding a rinse cycle like a previous reviewer suggested. Maybe the extra water will help with the smell. Of course this is not good for the environment though, so this whole way of making washing machines with no agitator and limiting water defeats the energy efficient goal.

Our Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7800XW2 glass-lid washer suffered the same (inevitable) fate – cracked plastic on the lid at the hinge stress points, after the washer was beyond warranty. Same story - runaround/no help from Whirlpool. Finally bit the bullet and shelled out the $200 for a new lid. HOWEVER, I didnt want to just replace it and have the same issue down the road. I removed the spring-loaded units that support the hinges, hoping to just remove the springs to release the pressure. I found that the springs are integral to holding all the components together in this unit. These are extremely heavy-duty extension springs, so I took them to my hardware store (TrueValue) and found springs the exact same length, but with a smaller wire diameter and thus requiring less force to extend. I replaced the original springs with these (Century Spring Corp. - #C-143 - 9/16”x3”x.054”). The lid operates perfectly, and now there is very little resistance at the hinge stress point. The only difference is there is no longer a “damping” effect when lowering the lid - it must be lowered manually rather than being allowed to fall on its own. That’s a small correction in habit, but will ensure that the replacement lid lasts for the life of the washer.

It has two french doors on top, a middle drawer, and the freezer drawer on the bottom. The interior is 25 cf, but there isnt much space, even with reconfiguring the shelves, and the crisper/meat drawers are so small, that a large bell pepper wont fit. When one French door is closed it pops open the other door, which then does not close back tightly. Although there is an alarm system to warn a door is open, it only works if the doors are open and not just cracked. We have to constantly push on both doors to be sure they are closed tightly, even after washing down the gasket to get a better seal.

They also cancelled the service call once before they fixed the machine. If I could give a zero star for this I would. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL WASHER AND DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO SEARS FOR ANYTHING. Worst company to business with. I will say this that the service guy that comes out to do the work is a good guy. He stayed until almost 9:00 pm on one of the service calls. As per their written Whirlpool Corporation Major Appliance Warranty for one (1) year from the date of purchase, when this major appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, Whirlpool Corporation will pay for factory specified parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship that existed when this major appliance was purchased. Service must be provided by a Whirlpool designated service company.My refrigerator was purchased on 10/27 and delivered on 10/28. Service repair performed by a Whirlpool designated service company was on 11/30, 12/30, 1/9, 1/18, 2/9, and 2/23. A future appointment was scheduled for 3/22. Whirlpool’s designated service company notes from 2/9 specifically state that the refrigerator will not run and parts were ordered. Whirlpool’s designated service company returned on 2/23 for parts installation and noticed that other components of the appliance were not functioning properly and proceeded to call the tech line for support. After hours of troubleshooting and multiple failures to function properly, the service company deemed the refrigerator as un-repairable and clearly stated in their notes that the unit was not cooling, there is a manufacturing defect, restriction in the units seal system, and the unit needs to be replaced. I was instructed that the tech line would complete the ticket, send the information over to Whirlpool Corporation, and I would need to follow up with Whirlpool’s customer service to set up the delivery of a replacement and haul away of the non-working defective refrigerator.Furthermore, the company (manager Wanda at the TN office), had already promised to replace this unit if the service repair performed on 12/30 did not fix the unit, which the company has never honored and has since decided to recuse themselves of this promise made on behalf of their employee. In addition, this Whirlpool manger (Wanda at the TN office) even gave me her direct phone number and extension to follow up with her. She has never answered any of my 10 phone calls over a period of 3 weeks and never attempted to return a single voicemail that I left for her. Since the promise of a replacement refrigerator, I contacted Whirlpool by phone on the following dates: 12/30, 1/3 and 1/16; 1/17, 1/19, and 1/30; 2/20, 2/24, and 2/28; 3/2, 3/9, and 3/13; and 3/15, 3/16, and 3/19. I as well have emailed them information they have requested on 2/20, 2/24, and 2/28.Below is verbatim of the last few Whirlpool customer service representatives that I have had correspondences with.2/28 (Tabitha): I have sent in your information for the PEX (replacement unit) since I see here that your unit is un-repairable. Upon further review of your information, our Whirlpool designated service company that performed service on 2/23 will have to call into the tech line to complete their notes before we can proceed. No, you cannot speak to a manager. If you wish to have a manager contact you, one will do so within 24-48 hours. You cannot speak to a manager because at this time there is nothing they can do to assist you; unfortunately, this process is moving along at its fastest place and there is nothing more we can do for you at the moment. There is nothing that we can accept from you to speed this process along, even though your copy of the service company’s receipts include the statements of work from our designated service company. If you wish to escalate this matter, you can write to Whirlpool Customer Relations Department at 553 Denson Road.3/9 (Kia, supervisor): Although our designated service company may deem your unit un-repairable, Whirlpool has to deem your unit un-repairable for a replacement to be issued. Yet, Whirlpool refuses to replace the unit and refuses to speak with me based on the ground that only their contractactually designated service company deems the refrigerator as un-repairable, but they do not. My refrigerator has not worked in weeks!From reading the Whirlpool appliance product reviews online, I discovered that I am by far not the only consumer that has suffered from victimization on behalf of Whirlpool Corporation. I saw numerous consumers who had purchased the exact same product (matching model number) as me, had issues, and Whirlpool refused to assist them. Therefore, I think that we as consumers need to take a stance to stop these unethical practices of Whirlpool Corporation and demand that they honor their written warranty for their products. Today, I had a certified Whirlpool tech come and look at the washer and he told me to put it at the curb as the rear bearing is shot and needed to be replaced. He also told me not to buy another front loader and the cost of the repair would be approximately $800.Thank you to Whirlpool for manufacturing a true hunk of crap that, may I say, cost me $1300. I will make sure I tell everyone I know that your products are crap and I would rather wash my clothes by hand. I did call the WP customer service number and was told that this is unheard of and that these machines rarely have any problems. After just reading multiple complaints of the exact same problem, I now know that this product is inferior and the design of the bearing assembly is seriously flawed. A major recall is probably in the near future and Whirlpool is hoping that most people will just dump them before the recall is made public.

If the dishwasher were fixable that would be fine. However, when the repairman who has years of experience in his job tells me it will never be right and will always be a problem, I believe him.

It cleans well, and is easy to select water temp, spin speed, etc. It's simple to load, but because I am short, I have difficulty reaching stuff at the bottom of the tub. A stool is needed. LOL. In the 5 years that I have owned it, I have not needed any kind of service to be done on it. Very reliable. I have had Whirlpool washers and dryers before and my success with them is why I purchased the set I have now. And so far, so good. Highly recommend.

The thermocouple was replaced so many times and there’s the inconvenience of not having hot water. Customer service sucks and they continue to send you to Lowe’s to pick up the part for free. I have 2 more years on the warranty and Im replacing it after its over! 3 days ago my water heater stopped working and now again I will replace the thermocouple. Dont buy Whirlpool products: they are junk!

Ive read a lot of reviews on here for Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer saying horrible things and maybe I lucked out? We got our set at Lowes a couple of years ago and havent had issues. We use Gain HE liquid detergent in the washer and have no problems. We also do the recommended routine cleanings of the machine as the manual says. I pick the settings for what we have, clothing wise, and it washes appropriately and things are clean, no marks or other things people have mentioned. I will click on extra rinse and adjust the soil level if something is particularly yucky. The dryer is great as well as long as you select the proper type of wash you have going on. I tend to do more dry setting and things never come out wrinkled. Sorry for all those who have had bad experiences. Also, others have complained about the noise...our old machine had an agitator and was very loud. Our machines are in a closed room and most of the time we dont hear a thing until the bell rings. Maybe wed hear more if they were in an open area or garage where noise echoes?

Tried all suggestions in the manual. Could not find any information online. The manual was useless. I went online to Whirlpool support 3 different times asking for help. Never got a reply. The racket it made was driving us crazy. It short cycled since it was frosting up. Set up an appointment online. They got that correct and responded quickly. Go figure. The tech came was very nice & professional. No warranty. Find out they only provide a one year warranty. That is absolutely nuts. A refrigerator should last 15 years with no major problems. Should not have needed a $500.00 extended warranty for a $1,300.00 refrigerator. Turned out 2 components needed replacing. Cost just over $400.00. Now were worried it is going to fail again in who knows how long. Whirlpool used to be a respected brand. Never again will we buy a Whirlpool product. 1 year warranty show you they know how cheap they are building their products.

I’m 80 years old and I’m not getting on the floor to fix this issue besides pulling it out to get behind it. The ice will buildup in the freezer so I have to empty the freezer and break up the ice. After testing all 3 of these components, it was determined to be a controller issue. After speaking with Chris on the phone, he overnighted a new controller to me. Called support and they said they could send someone out in a little over a week (week with no hot water). The week goes by and on the day it was suppose to be repaired the guy calls and says his van broke down (this was a Friday, getting that early weekend). The earliest they can reschedule is in another week (over 2 weeks no hot water). Called Lowes to see if I can just return it (extended plan and all), no, you need a return code from the whirlpool customer support. Call the Whirlpool number again to ask for a return code, no, it is a repairable problem (even though no one will come repair it). Lesson learned, will never buy Whirlpool or anything over $50 from Lowes again.

And you have to stop your other work, unlock & wait awhile on that, and rearrange your load of clothes. I called the repairman when I first had it, and he said, Oh yeah that happens, nothings wrong. OMG! How I wish I had returned it. If you dont rearrange the load when the cycle is done, your clothes are still soaked. So you have to re-drain & spin. Total waste of money & a lot of my time. The only thing they could think of was that the bleach I used wasnt rinsing out completely so it showed up on our clothes. Recently, I washed a table runner by itself and it had some red in it. Now there are red spots on a couple of items that I washed after the runner. My husband just now asked why there were red spots on a shirt that he wears all the time. I explained. Also, we have had some white spots on clothes and I could scratch it out without leaving a permanent mark. Were no longer using bleach and we use only liquid detergent and all of it is HE. So I dont understand the machine. I hate it.
