My Whirlpool Cabrio Washer is only 4 years old. I have had balancing & spin issues since day one. Thought it was just me. Constantly had to drain and spin after rebalancing. Now 10 days ago it cost me $250 to have it fixed. The aqcuator (?) Went. It wouldnt spin out. Now 10 days later it stops again. The appliance guy reads code. F7E7. He tells me the bearings are no good. Will cost another $400 and they need some special tool to fix it. IM DONE. My last set was 15 years old. The price is ridiculous and quality not worth what this triple capacity set cost.

Whirlpool refrigerator stopped working after two years of ownership. The back of the freezer compartment will ice up, stops cooling and makes a loud grinding noise. We expected a much longer life in a brand new refrigerator. Our extended warranty plan has not provided a replacement or comparable credit for a new refrigerator. We have been without a refrigerator for over a 1 1/2 months. Very unpleasant during the holiday season!!! I would never recommend buying a Whirlpool product of any kind.

Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Option - Very stylish. Well built - very solid and heavy constructions. Full features from quick wash to sanitary wash, very energy efficient, steam setting on dryer for touch-ups. Quick loads, etc. We were looking for a washer and dryer set that would accommodate large quilts and blankets and still have the flexibility to handle small and delicate loads, and be energy efficient. The Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Option is solidly built and very sturdy. It handles small and large loads and is very energy efficient. Both the washer and dryer handle sheets and pillowcases without a problem. Wed recommend them to anyone.

We have been married 36 years. Since year one, me and my wife have owned nothing but Whirlpool appliances. They lasted forever. Approximately 4 years ago, we redid our home, and bought all new appliances, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, front loader, washer, and dryer, Since then, 4 years ago, our refrigerator ice maker stopped working. 2 years ago, our dishwasher wont heat up, so it is useless to us, and the bearings in the washer are shot. I must say we are so disappointed in Whirlpool. We are barely living on my husbands income as I had to stop working 3 years ago, as I became disabled, but did not make enough money to be able to collect disability. We cannot afford new appliances, nor to fix them. I am sending you the model numbers of each appliance, hoping you will do something to help. This is just ridiculous. It is just my husband and me in the house (washer: WFW9200SQ02; refrigerator: GD5NVAXSA01; dishwasher: no model number, but it is Energy Star II 8575637). Please help. We cannot afford to replace this, nor repair. It is hard for me to go to the laundromat, then come home to dry. Standing long periods to to dishes, takes a toll on me. Please help.

DO NOT buy Whirlpool branded electric ovens. Whirlpool put out an update and it fried the control board of our electric built in oven. They refuse to fix it. They have kept us on hold for two hours and then tell us there is nothing they can do to fix it. We had an extended warranty that just “disappeared from their system.” They told us someone would call back us but no one has. This was an update we were told we had to run in order to use the associated APP. Our oven is only 2-years old. We now will need to pay for the repair ourselves. DO NOT BUY.

Do not purchase Whirlpool smart freestanding gas range model number WFG975H
Do not purchase Whirlpool smart freestanding gas range model number WFG975HOHV. I purchased the range and the refrigerator around Christmas of 2018. The first time I turned the oven on to make Christmas dinner the carbon monoxide detector alarm went off. I have tried to use the oven twice after that and the same thing happened. The oven also never gets to 350. I spoke to Whirlpool who said to unplug the oven. They stated a technician would be sent with a carbon monoxide detector and to conduct repairs. The technician came and could not get the oven to 350 and the carbon monoxide detector alarmed. He stated he has to order parts and return to complete repairs. This is a brand new oven that I could not use because the carbon monoxide alarmed and the oven was not heating to 350 because it keeps restarting every few minutes. So here I am not able to use the oven for over a month and waiting for parts for a brand new range. Do not waste your money on Whirlpool products. Also the customer service has no empathy knowing their products are defective.

Whirlpool Washing Cabrio machine model WTW5500XW0 - I purchased this machine five years ago. After about a year I started having problems where the clothes were not coming out clean. I contacted Whirlpool and was referred for a repair. The repair man told me these newer machines need the Affresh product to clean out the machine so this doesnt happen. I bought the Affresh product and there is still a problem. Every load of wash has to be put back in for another rinse cycle, sometimes two rinse cycles. Its ironic because the cover of the booklet for the machine says low-water washer which was the selling point to buying this machine. Instead of using less water, Im using DOUBLE the water.

The inside glass of the oven door shattered. I have not used the oven for months. Only the the top cooking burners have been used. Its a mystery to me!! I have read complaints where the glass shattered while the oven was in use or being cleaned, but have found none where this happened to a cold oven. The large front burner is too hot. Even on the lowest setting everything burns. You cannot simmer, only boil. The control knobs have (in my opinion) no safety mechanism. I thought that the control knobs on stoves needed to be child proofed, hard for a child to turn on. My last stove you had to push down quite hard then turn to the setting. Not this stove. I have to be so careful when Im cleaning the area around the knobs. The slightest pressure and the knob turns. When I first purchased the stove while cleaning it, I unknowingly turned the knob and the kitchen filled with gas before I realized what had happened. I called Whirlpool thinking something was broken. They sent out a repairman. Nothing was broken. That is the way it is made. Customer Service said they had had no other complaints about the knobs. I find that hard to believe. My toddler grandchild can turn on the stove with ease. Im sure other concerned parents etc. have had this complaint. To sum it up... I will probably never purchase a Whirlpool product again.

I have called Whirlpool multiple times because our washing machine model #WFW9290FW has been out of service for 5 weeks now. I have been informed that I need part #W10604640, which is on back-order and they wont give me any idea of how long it is going to take to get this part replaced. Apparently, there are 96 total people who also need this part. I find it hard to believe that a company this big would not have this part on hand and they would not have any idea how long it would take to get it replaced. I asked them to give me a new washing machine for free to replace it because of the poor service and the unreliable washing machine. They told me they could give me another washing machine at 40% off, but based on the lack of follow-up and the amount of time that has passed since my initial call, I dont want another Whirlpool product. This is the worst customer service ever.

My Whirlpool is almost 20 yrs now and we thought we were going to have to get a new one! New ones aren’t equipped with what mine has so after much investigating we decided to try a water inlet part for $35 delivered and oh to our surprise it is still performing like new. We bought the top of the line and it still is! Thank you Whirlpool. You are what you say you are. Arlene **.

I purchased my Whirlpool Gold series french door refrigerator 3 years ago. I bought Whirlpool because it being an American company and a brand I thought I would be pleased with. Wrong! I have had nothing but problems with this refrigerator. Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty! Just a year old, my ice maker stopped working. Then, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Circuit boards were replaced, fan motors, etc. over $1500.00 in parts and labor and the entire summer to have it fixed. This past August, ice maker stopped working again. Then, stopped cooling. I am now at week 6 without a functioning refrigerator. While I am thankful I have an extended warranty, through the store that I purchased this refrigerator, I am not thrilled with the amount of time that has passed between each visit and the fact that it is the exact same parts that are once again being replaced. This refrigerator is a LEMON. Do not buy this brand.

The Whirlpool Cabrio washer was extremely expensive to purchase but is rusting out and the circuit board is going out. We have had cheap washers last longer than this one and just to purchase the circuit board will be more expensive than another cheap washer. These boards go out right after the warranty goes out and I think that they are timed to go out. (The exact same thing happened with our dishwasher and after the board was replaced, it has lasted many years). Whirlpool should replace these for free since they do not last that long and are very expensive.

My Whirlpool microwave has been great. Just the right size for my family, with enough settings that it wasnt complicated to use. I found it was very useful with different recipes that I liked to make. I always used it whenever possible to cut down on my cooking time because time is something we dont seem to have enough of. I have baked a lot of different items in my microwave, chickens, all kind of casseroles, cakes. You can even scramble eggs in this one!! It keeps dishes warm until you decide to serve it which is a plus because all microwaves do not have this option. I believe you will enjoy it too!

Whirlpool Cabrio Elite - I wanted this washer and dryer set to be the best one I ever owned. =( It’s the most I ever spent on a set. I am truly very disappointed. The washer, it is twisting the clothes and sheets so bad. My clothes are falling apart a little bit each time I wash them. I tried so hard to load the washer the way they asked never putting in a full load. The dryer leaves things still wet around the corners and edges. Because everything gets so twisted I had to buy a iron and ironing board just to get the wrinkled out. I hate to iron.

I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher on March 13, 2007, along with a 3-year extended warranty. Well on Nov. 15, 2011, I had a part in the control panel go out, so they replaced it and they charged me $129.00 for labor and $29.18 for the part. My dishwasher is doing the same thing. It doesnt finish the cycle and I have to restart it, so I called the repairman A&E. They said the part is only guaranteed for 90 days. The part only lasted six months! Its the same part and the same problem. It should be considered a defective part. No matter how many you have replaced the part, it is going to need to be replaced and at $160.00, I cant afford it. They should have to pay for defective parts. Also on this model GU2600XTPSI on the panel buttons, the start button was made with this puffy plastic that has pulled apart and now it looks terrible! None of the other buttons were made this way. What a crappy workmanship, they should be embarrassed. This dishwasher was not cheap; it cost $650.00 plus $50.00 for the warranty. 4 years is too short of a time to have to replace any home appliance. There are appliance out there that are three times as old as mine and they are still working. I guess in the last 10 to 15 years, big companies dont care about their products or the people who buy them, just about their profits! I will never buy or recommend Whirlpool products.

Needed a washer right away and have had Whirlpool before. Simple & easy to use. Not confusing to the average person or teenager for that matter. Reliability from Whirlpool is excellent. I have had many products from them and have enjoyed them all. They have been quite reliable over the last 9 years. They are out of date but they work. Not a lot of bells and whistles but still nice. They are both full size and have enough options for me. I am still happy with the pair and would purchase again if needed in the future. Price was good at the time as I cannot see spending $1K on them. Not always the more expensive is a good idea either.

We started noticing pools of water on the floor on the left side of the freezer. We would then open up the drawer and it was covered in ice. The water was not noticed until the morning so it has caused damage to the floor and molding in our house that was built in 2012. I called the repair company that I used to have my Whirlpool oven fixed (broke twice). That is when the manager gave me the lowdown on what has been happening with this fridge. He told me to call Whirlpool and have them pay for the repair and part and to research online, that it is a design flaw with the freezer and the p-trap and draining under the ice maker being not efficient.I called Whirlpool and complained. All of my appliances are Whirlpool and I spoke to a Supervisor. They only would not agree to pay for the repair and only will pay for the part (which is only $27.00). This fridge is 15 months old and I am irate at the lack of customer loyalty from Whirlpool. They responded the exact same way when my oven broke a month out of warranty. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again, and would like buyers to be aware before they buy an almost $2,000 fridge.

2010 upright Whirlpool freezer - Door is totally bubbled in rust. Warranty Plan not covered for this. Whirlpool Corp Serv. Dept said they are sorry but it is not a functional problem. Cost of repairs on 3-yr-old freezer that cost $600.00 would be $732.62. This freezer was rated CR Best Buy in Sept 2009 which was why I purchased it. I paid $81.00 for repair tech from Whirlpool today who could do nothing either. Whirlpool knows that this has been a problem as consumers have complained about this rust in Google, some saying they will never buy a Whirlpool product again. Same here!

All they can offer me is a $50 check and have a different company come out and check my fridge. Im SO UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED! I remember when I was a little girl my parents and grandparents would talk about how good Whirlpool was and I was so excited when I moved into my first brand new house 6 months ago. It had all brand new Whirlpool appliances but now I think they are a piece of crap because to top it all off my microwave broke down 3 months after I moved in and I waited over a month from the time I reported it to have the tech come out and replace it. I dont recommend this product to anyone. When you try to clean the washer it leaks out the bottom. When I moved into my current home, this dishwasher(Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1) was already installed. It had never been used until I moved in. After two years of 2-3 times a week use, I have major problems. It will not complete a wash cycle, regardless of what settings I use. It runs long enough for the soap dispenser to release the Finish tablets which dissolve, but then the dishwasher stops running. The dishes are not clean, and neither is the interior of the dishwasher. It also appears to be leaking when it runs. I cannot afford to replace it, so either I will repair it myself or use it to store pots and pans. This is not my first disappointment with a Whirlpool product. A Kenmore refrigerator made by Whirlpool lasted 7 years before the compressor failed. Apparently, the self-cleaning coils werent and caused the compressor to fail. The refrigerator I have where I now live is a Whirlpool over 20 years old and runs perfectly. Apparently Whirlpool quality has deteriorated badly in the last two decades. I will never buy another Whirlpool kitchen appliance because of the dishwasher and new refrigerator experiences. When I searched the Internet for fixes for both appliances, I found many other owners having the same problems I have had.

Thankfully, I have not had the lid crack... yet. We have had it serviced once while under warranty, that tech told us it wasnt good to wash small items, like socks. Are you kidding me? My Whirlpool Gold, French door refrigerator is 3 years old and just died. The most frustrating part was trying first to go through Whirlpool.com to have them schedule a repair service call. It seems that when I added my zip code and address, their program automatically changed the zip code. So an appointment was scheduled for a repair company that is 4 hours away from me. In calling Whirlpool back (another 30 minutes on hold), they again attempted to insert my address and zip code only to find the program changed it again. I got NO assistance. I finally did find someone (through Thumbtack.com) who found that one of the 3 circuit boards that tell the compressor to cool, was bad. Its going to be 10 days before I will have a refrigerator again and after spending 2K on it, makes me angry. I will never buy Whirlpool again.

It only cleans the bottom of the oven and that is after you mop up the water left in the bottom and scrub it. No amount of scrubbing even touches the sides, back or window, even after using the Aqualift feature 3 times! I spent hundreds of dollars only to be down on my hands and knees scrubbing to no avail. Customer service wait times are over 90 mins and the technicians take over 3 weeks to get to the house and they dont fix it, they order the part and that takes another 3 weeks for it to arrive and the technician comes back. I work in the service industry and I am in shock that this company can get away with treating customers like they have.

This Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine just does not do the job. It smells inside and does not get clothes clean, just normal everyday laundry. I usually have to put them through twice. It is supposed to be a water save, but I dont think it uses enough. I use minimal he detergent, yet you can see detergent residue on the clothes after they are washed, I think because there is not enough water running through to rinse clothes very well.

In 2012 we bought three new Whirlpool kitchen appliance back in 2012. The refrigerator has needed a drain pan replacement, and two air diffuser replacements. Of course, both air diffuser issues occurred just outside the one year warranty. Then the range oven has required two spark modulator replacements – again just outside the one year warranty. Whirlpool’s solution: buy another 1 year warranty to get it fixed; or buy a new Whirlpool appliance at a discounted price.

We bought our Whirlpool Refrigerator a little over three years ago. Within a few months we started having problems with the unit. From ice maker issues, cooling and freezing. Initially the frig was covered under Whirlpools 1 year warranty. Then our extended 3 year warranty kicked in through HH Gregg which they supplied for free because of their poor handling of the initial sale. We have lost track in how many times a repair man has come out to work on the refrigerator. In the last year alone its been at least 8 times. The most recent problem had been the freezer not defrosting properly to the point where we had to store food in our neighbors freezer. The repairman has tried everything he knows and is stumped. Well our extended warranty has run out but theyll continue to work on the problem as long as we report the issue within 30 days which creates a whole different set of issues. The extended warranty states they will replace the refrigerator if it has the same problem 3 times. However what they dont tell you is that if you call BEFORE 3 time period its considered a recall and that doesnt count towards the 3 strike rule. We contacted Whirlpool and they wont cover the refrigerator because the repair company isnt on their approved list. Really a Sears repairman isnt approved? So buyer beware of a lemon Whirlpool Frig! They seem to have a way of not covering their product.

I bought this Cabrio Washing Machine just over a year ago and it never drained water when I was doing towels and bed sheets. Life got in the way, and I managed to run smaller loads in the regular settings. Now, the machine is just over a year old and it will not spin unless I put it on the rinse and spin issue. It takes well over 2 hours to wash a load of laundry. From looking at other reviews, this is a big problem. I would not recommend this washer to anyone. It cost a ton of money and was the worst washing machine I have ever used.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer - I had all the same problems as all the 900 others on this site. After 7 months, it died. The factory repairman told me it needed a new transmission and motor. I returned it to Costco for a full refund and did a lot of research and bought a Speed Queen. It has no computer. It’s just an old-school washer that cleans, and best of all, it’s made in the USA with a 10-year warranty.

Ran some time water draining with tablets to make it clean and run better. Had someone to look for it, no sound. But when we now turned on, it sound like a mumbling high sound from inside machine or upper lid. We have some thermostat error a few times now. We purchased this washer on 2008-04-27. It ran okay until a few months ago when it began making strange intermittent noises. This is now happening more and more often. I reviewed a lot of websites and see that this is a common occurrence for Whirlpool Cabrio washers, and Whirlpool will not stand behind it and make it right. Im going to write them a letter mirroring what Im saying here, and remind them that other appliances in my house are coming due for replacements or upgrades. Whirlpool and its affiliates will not be part of those upgrades going forward. I have no patience or tolerance for expensive **, which is what they put out here. I will have to purchase a replacement washer since this seems to have two major areas of failure, both extremely expensive to repair. I might check out Roper and see what they have--its apparently very well rated by the folks that work on these things.

The one star is just for the oven, which is still working. I have a microwave and oven combo and the microwave is used occasionally for popcorn or to reheat the food. Soon, it stopped warming up. I called the service, which is one of the worse experiences I ever had, and was fixed.Soon after, the same part got broken. But I ran out of the warranty. I bought the extended warranty and all the problems started. I was told by one of the Whirlpool representatives that before my warranty will become effective, I have to fix my microwave on my own expense. But in the Whirlpool terms and conditions, it stated clearly that they do not cover if the repairs are made by anyone other than a participating service provider or those recommended.I decided to cancel the warranty after paying the first rate but before it become effective. I fixed the microwave on my own expense with a different repair service, since the one that was recommended by Whirlpool charged almost a half of the amount as I paid for the whole unit.Within the month, the some part got broken again. I called Whirlpool to find out if this is a manufacture problem and is listed as recall. However, Whirlpool did not respond.

I had my washing machine for about 10 days before it stopped working. I did about 4 loads of laundry. We have had 3 repair people come check it out, all referred by Whirlpool. They each had a different theory on why it wasnt working properly. Im now waiting for parts to be delivered and then service to be scheduled. When I contacted customer service, I was told (after waiting on hold for about 1 hour) that it was customer misuse. Ahem, first I heard that, and I think I know how to use a washing machine. I asked to speak with a supervisor. More waiting. Tina (#**) told me she will contact the service company about the parts. I told her to please conference me in on the call because I want to hear the outcome (and I dont want to wait another 1+ hour to reach customer service again). She put me on hold and then disconnected me! Really, all this time and 3 service people... Would be cheaper to just replace the machine altogether. What a headache!

Whirlpool Clothes Washer Model WTW4930XW1 - We have experienced tub overfilling on (2) separate occasions with this washer model in a period of time of less than (2) years. Through extended warranty service purchased, a technician came out the first time; declared nothing explainable to cause the malfunction, re-calibrated the control panel, and off he went. This second event occurred much the same as the first; happened to walk in to notice water on laundry room floor and witnessed overflow out the lid on top. We have carefully washed additional loads after this second event without a similar malfunction. From my online research, this sure sounds like a faulty pressure switch not sensing high water level in the tub. Any other thoughts?

We purchased a new Whirlpool Refrigerator less than 3 years ago. The last couple of weeks the freezer hasnt been keeping cold enough. We lost about $300 worth of food in it. The refrigerator section isnt keeping as cold as it should. I call Whirlpool, but didnt have a warranty, so if I paid more money we could have a warranty and get it fixed. Who has that kind of money. When we purchased our appliances we thought we were buying good quality appliances. That sure isnt the case. They should last way longer than less than 3 years.I called where we purchased it from. Had the service man come out. There are four major parts that are wrong with it. $800 plus at least 3 hours of labor. Not worth that. Again who can afford such money as this. I called Whirlpool again. They could give me money off a new fridge but it would still cost almost $1600. Im so unhappy with the appliances. We also have a stove and that doesnt work right either. I believe that we should be compensated way more than they are offering. I would not buy another Whirlpool again. I will make sure people know that it isnt good quality. Im so sad. Who would have thought. It is time that the people at the top of the company think of those lower than they are. The people I spoke to on phone were very kind. I know they really cant do much. They are just the middle man so to speak.

I had ancient appliances (refrigerator, microwave, range, and dishwasher) that were all mismatched and were in the house when I purchased it in the mid 1990s. I saved up my money and even though my old appliances were working fine, I wanted stainless steel and everything to match so I decided to go ahead and replace my refrigerator, microwave, range, and dishwasher. I decided on Whirlpool since the company has been making appliances for many years and I thought they made a good product. I bought those appliances in 2012.In 2015, the microwave started to malfunction. At first, it would light up and act as though it was working, but it wasnt. I had it repaired - they said it was a fuse - and the fuse repair cost me about $75.00. It worked for about 2-weeks. I called the repair guy back and they didnt charge me, thinking it was something they did wrong when they fixed it. This time it worked for about a week when it went out again. Not wanting to miss any more work waiting on a repair guy, I went to Lowes and bought a pack of the appropriate microwave fuses and replaced the fuse myself. This time it worked about three weeks - I noticed it was popcorn that seemed to kill the microwave. I finally gave up repairing it when I used up all the fuses in the pack from Lowes. I bought a GE Microwave and it has been a dream. It does a better job all around and looks a lot better than the Whirlpool. I no longer have matching appliances but at least they work! But thats not all. Now the Whirlpool refrigerator has been slowly dying. It has been groaning and creaking since I had it installed but it has gotten so loud that I have to sleep with white noise so that it doesnt wake me up. Yesterday, I took out a Drumstick ice cream cone from the freezer - they are the cones that have chocolate covered ice cream with nuts. I bit into the chocolate coating and the ice cream all spilled out like milk! Looks like Whirlpool struck again and I am not even going to bother to repair it. I just hope I dont get food poisoning until I can get it replaced. And...the dishwasher. Well, it wont dispense the Jet Dry liquid if I fill up the reservoir. I have to fill it only half way or it wont work. I had to use an eyedropper to get the tank down to half. It doesnt really get the dishes clean either. My 20+ year old one I got rid of was 100% better than this Whirlpool dishwasher.Luckily, I hardly ever use the range...and when I do, its a burner or two so I havent had any problem with it yet. I am thinking of replacing it anyway simply because I dont want - ever - anything that says Whirlpool in my home. I was so excited when I decided to buy new appliances. I was finally going to have something new and nice in my home...or so I thought. Instead I wasted my money and got aggravation instead of joy. I dont know about others but I will never buy Whirlpool appliances again- never ever. And now I feel like my money was stolen from me -- and my joy definitely was stolen.

We moved into a new house in May 2013 and there was a new Whirlpool Gas Range installed. We have experienced an intermittent problem where the oven will not ignite since day one. We have reported it to Whirlpool and different technicians have attempted to repair it but it is still faulty. When the standard warranty ran out I purchased the Extended Warranty Protection from Whirlpool but it is WORTHLESS and they cannot fix it! The last technician from Philips Appliance in San Diego was terrible. He said he would order a new control board but never did and he closed the case without telling us.When I called Whirlpool to check on the status of the problem I was told that they will not look at or change parts for intermittent problems so what did I pay the extended warranty money for? When the oven does not ignite there is a smell of gas and we are now concerned that it may be dangerous so we are about to dump this useless Whirlpool gas range to a purchase a LG model! We have front loaders. Far, far less damaging to the clothing than a top loader with agitator, would never go back to top loader. That comes with a caveat though. There is a difference you may not realize between the two styles. With a front loader comes a little maintenance. You will need to clean the washer periodically. Most all the stores sell the cleaning tablets and no, not all cleaners are created equal. I will only use Affresh after testing most of them. With a front loader there is always some water in the bottom of the drum, even after the cycle ends and even when it looks empty. So if you wash real dirty or smelly things, you’ll want to run an empty cycle to rinse out that leftover water or run with cleaner. In between wash days you’ll need to leave the door open so it doesn’t mold or mildew. The door gasket/seals will show mold and mildew and or you’ll get a mildew smell in your clothing. The only issues we’ve had with these units were the learning curve on front loaders in general and with the dryer we had the water valve for the steam function stick open (after 5 years) but it was due to calcium build up from our well water, not a issue with the machine itself. The dryer lint screen could be better. It is vertical so as the lint builds up during a cycle it drops to the bottom and accumulated at the bottom falling off as you pull it out each time to clean it. The lint catches on a crazy amount of extrusions inside the lint trap which also makes it nearly impossible to get down in and effectively clean all the crap out. One last thing if youre changing from top to front loaders. Buy the peristalsis, they’re expensive but it’s a pain in the butt to get stuff out if you don’t have them. Overall we’ve been very happy with our Whirlpool front loaders and would confidently recommend them to you.

When you purchase a Cabrio high efficiency washer dont expect clean clothes! But, you can expect holes, torn and, smelly clothes. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to wash. The machine I purchased has a glass top but its dark and you cant see into the machine so that was a waste of money! If you wash clothes in 1/4 depth of water, nothing gets clean. Who even designed this disaster? I had enough common sense to know it was going to be bad but the salesman at Lowes informed me that ALL washers were high-efficiency and getting a tub full of water days are over. I wish we wouldve just paid for repair and kept my old washer. I hate doing laundry with this machine! I use to be able to wash my blankets, pillows, curtains, throw rugs, even car mats with no problems. Not anymore! This machine couldnt handle it. You ought to see my sheets and shirts when theyre done. They come out twisted up so tight I have to untangle them before they go to dryer. What a horrible nightmare of a machine! If we were not out so much money Id send this machine to the junkyard and get a real washer with realistic amounts of water! How are you saving anything when clothes require 2 times to get somewhat clean??? If youre reading this and considering a high-efficiency washing machine, DONT DO IT!! You will regret it. Im counting the days when I can junk mine!

I have a whirlpool water heater. This is the third or 4th time that the upper sensor failure code has come on. Our water heater turns off all the time and we have to fire it back up. In the past few months, it has started pouring water out from the long tube on the side of it anytime we turn it on for more then 10 minutes. The last time we called a plumber, I was trying to get a quote on a tankless water heater. Ive been so fed up with ours and I thought that would be a better route to go. The plumber explained the negative sides to a tankless water heater and explained that our water heater was a really nice, really expensive and fairly newer model. I told him that I had just gotten it about four years ago. He said he could just fix that one. So after looking at it, he acted as if he didnt know what an upper sensor was and told me it was under warranty and that I should call for the parts. Every time we have called for the parts, they send the same box thing on the front of the heater and every time, it doesnt fix it for long before it says the same thing. And now, like I said, the water heater has now added the problem of pouring water out of it. I need help. I dont know what to do. Im tired of not knowing if Ill have hot water or if the water heater is going to pour out water. Im pregnant and worried that if we cant get this fixed Ill continue to have this problem along with having a baby to take care of. Please help.

We purchased our Whirlpool Front Loading HE Washing Machine a year and ten months ago from Future Shop, and now it has failed. After paying about $100 for a service call, we were told we need to order a motor control board that will cost an additional $397 plus tax, plus installation. Because it is off warranty, this means my $1030 washing machine that is less than two years old will cost me about $680 to repair! My parents old top loading washing machine still works after 30 years. And now I notice that so many other people have had the exact same problem. Why hasnt Whirlpool fixed this issue? This is criminal! What on earth is going on here? I was under the impression that Whirlpool was a top-notch brand.

My elderly parents had everything they own destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. After rebuilding their home, the new Whirlpool washing machine was broken. Whirlpool refused to disconnect and remove the machine that was obviously broken before it arrived. This is something that no one should have to go through. It is appalling and bad business. Through the kindness of friends, we had several male friends help with the removal. Truly shocking, that this is how Whirlpool handled this situation.

We have a Whirlpool washer wtw5640xw2, we have been experiencing burning wire smells for some time. We had bought the extended warranty. Lowes sent out a repair company. They replaced the main board and the problem has continued. This has been as intermittent problem with the burning smell. We experienced it this week really bad! I thought the machine was on fire. We called the repair company and they said they had fixed the problem. My husband called the Whirpool number and they said they would NOT do anything to help us. We are trying to get help from Lowes where we bought the washer. I am terribly afraid to use the machine. This model needs to be discontinued.. We bought this machine 5-07-12. If we dont get some help, we are going to our lawyer.

We bought a Whirlpool Gold French Door refrigerator in 2010. Just when the warranty period passed, the refrigerator started leaking water from the bottom floor. Initially, it only leaked about once per month. But as time passed, the refrigerator started leaking more often, and now its leaking every 2-3 days. I saw many people complaining on the same problem and some of them even submitted since 2006. I dont know why Whirlpool doesnt resolve this issue in many years.

Okay. IN OTHER WORDS, why not just let the handle part of the dial stay affixed to the red line mark, so that they continuously turn together at ALL times???

I hope the CEO posts this on a giant screen in front of all their employees. The first thing I did after moving into our new home is brag about the American made Whirlpool appliances. Being from the Midwest I take pride in made in the USA product and go out of my way to support homegrown companies. I know that a number of the components in my fridge include the fan that failed after 11 month were most likely sourced and manufactured in China... but that no excuse!! Whirlpool needs to do a better job of QC. You need to be passionate and rigorous with your testing. Dont reduce cost at the cost of your customer base. It is amazing were to the point where we can no longer compete with China in quality.Second is customer service, if you know you cant compete in quality you need to be able to make up for that with customer support. I called Whirlpool and scheduled an appointment the day the fridge quit working. I was upset that it would take three days to have a working fridge but I was understanding. Lucky for me I had an understanding neighbor too. Anyways, when the day came for my scheduled warranty repair I was told that Whirlpool was mistaken and that I wouldnt be able to get it serviced for another week! This is just unacceptable.Right away I called the Whirlpool customer service representative and manager to express my frustration with this error. They were polite and both agreed with my frustration. It also sounded as if they also didnt understand why their own company was doing such a poor job addressing repair issues. They made it sound like this was a common problem of people getting overbook at repair service providers. Again another fumble. Bottom line, due to my position, I dont really have a choice but to wait another week for a repair. Take note: Every time you lose a customer like me this you lose 10! I will now go out of my way to tell people about my negative experience rather than my positive. So disappointed.

After only 6 months of use, the cooktop light bulb burned out. When I tried to replace it, the glass part of the bulb separated from the base. The bulb is screwed in so that the base faces away from the front of the microwave. With the small cavity and the backward installation, it will be impossible to remove. Now I have no light and dread how much a service call will be. The unit was installed by a contractor prior to our purchase of the house and it is now out of warranty.

WHIRLPOOL WTW5000DWO WASHING MACHINE TOP LOADING 2014 MODEL - I purchased this above model at Lowes of Hagerstown MD. The first problem I had with the washing machine was the spin cycle did not wring out the clothes. The second problem was the spin cycle caused the washer to start walking. The washer was leveled prior to washing the clothes also water was still running into the washer after it cycled off. I call Lowes the next day and told them my problems and they replaced the unit with the same model. The delivery came and I hooked up the washer and placed a few items in the washer and allowed it to cycle through. The washer did the same thing all over again. It did not spin the clothes out and the water continued to pour in the washer. And spun out of balance. I contacted Lowes and advised them I was having the same problem. I also told them my cousin had the same model and they were also having the same problem. Lowes offered to replace the unit with a different model so I selected Samsung washing machine and I have it scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Also I wanted to let you know that the price difference was 100 Dollars more for the Samsung and Lowes told me that I would have to pay the difference. I told them I have been inconvenienced twice and I will not pay the difference, they then call in the store manager and he override the difference. Lowes of Hagerstown will try their best to make it right, its sad that the mfg will not bring a product to the market that will do what it is advertised. The federal and state government should fine these companies and replace the defective models when reported. Do it right the first time and you wont have a repeat of the same problems. Also not use the consumer as a guinea pig to try out new products.

I finally put in a call to World Headquarters but had to leave message and nobody has returned call. I finally called a whirlpool serviceman and he told me the Aqua lift is not a true self cleaning oven. The temperatures dont get hot enough. It was meant to just loosen the dirt on the bottom and then you have to scrub. The button you press to start the process on the stove states SELF CLEANING. I believe they have mislead the public with their advertising. Im thinking about any options I may have.

I am in construction and have had to deal with failed motherboards on new Whirlpool fridges that we put in some rental properties. Knowing that, when I went to buy a fridge for my own house, I went to a very reputable appliance company and talked openly about getting a fridge that wasnt going to be a problem. My sales agent and I go back always and he was very open about the problems with the more gadgeted Whirlpools so we picked a low bells and whistles French door fridge to avoid that. It stopped cooling at about the same age as all the rental units did and had a control panel fail. The sales guy and I laughed about how even knowing about the issues I didnt avoid it. Their company came out and fixed it for just short of 300 bucks. Two months later, it stopped cooling again. The service tech came out and this time hit the side of the fridge with his hand and opened a relay getting it to work, at least for another week. The tech told his boss that I must not have shut the freezer causing it to go into defrost mode. The third time it failed, we were out of town and lost all our perishables. We had the same tech come out and replace the board he got to work the last time with a whack to the side of the unit. That board should have been under a parts warranty for 90 days but I may have missed that with the slap repair working for the additional 2 weeks.Im trying to put this behind me but Whirlpool sent me an Extended Warranty Plan opportunity. I can now buy a plan on an almost 3-year old fridge. I am wondering if they are trying to give me the hook up on a bad product or just hoping to prey off my fears and cash in. The company I bought the appliance from has been first rate but their hands are tied by Whirlpool who has virtually no support for their vendors. Before buying a Whirlpool, consider a Sub-Zero. After you figure in the repairs, they arent too far apart in price.

I felt compelled to write this review, to sum it up NEVER buy ANY Whirlpool, KitchenAid etc brand. Nothing but the worst experience, it all started with a 5 year old Whirlpool fridge that stopped cooling, I called and they said they could send someone for like 200$ and that it does not guarantee it will be fixed. So I called an independent and he tried to refill the freon, but it was leaking behind the fridge in a section you cannot access because they want you to buy another one, so 5 year old fridge in the garbage and now to top it off, a KitchenAid knife set that is barely used, one of the big knives broke cutting a fruit, and good luck in any circumstance getting any customer service. SO NEVER AGAIN, TRUST ME AND PUT YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE ON ANY OTHER COMPANY.

I went online to compare and found out I could purchase the exact same washing machine at home depot & best buy for $50 cheaper. I called back to see if there was anything they could have done and they would not budge.Shame on you Whirlpool. You have lost a customer and I will make sure no one I know buys one of your products ever again. I cannot believe that you would not make any accommodations for us. Hi team, I have to lodge this complaint after because of getting continuous
Hi team, I have to lodge this complaint after because of getting continuous problems I have suffered with my Whirlpool fully automatic washing machine top load 11 kg bloom wash 360 degree. I purchased the abovesaid brand new washing machine on 1st Jan 2017. Since the purchase I am struggling with this machine. I raised the fault in the beginning itself and the service was done on 5th of Feb. Jobs sheets enclosed here with.Similar issues kept on arising and whenever I raised those issues with the whirlpool team, they mentioned that company policy is to repair the faulty part if it’s in warranty and they will not replace. They suggested me to go for the AMC and to be on the safer side, I also took AMC under warranty period only. (AMC card - My cheque dates and service details all are mentioned onto it.) Recently I faced another issue on 26th Feb for which ticket was raised. Engineer visited on 27th Feb and advised us to replace the motor part. On 3rd March they replaced motor mechanism and ball-bearings. Then engineer advised us to check the working by giving a trial wash.I started the machine to wash clothes and after 20 mins machine started making abnormal noise. (I have made video of it, audio of the video captured the noise). I again called up the service engineer immediately and informed him about the voice coming out of machine and he gave a lame answer by saying “It is normal sound”. Then I again called Whirlpool and requested senior engineer visit to resolve the issue. Senior engineer visited and told us that one of motor screw wasn’t tighten properly. It opened while running the machine which completely damaged the motor. After that I am continuously calling to service centre to get the updates on my machine motor replacement. Finally they mentioned that they dont have motor part available with them due to company ceased this model productivity. When I raised this issue with the Whirlpool team they mentioned that they can only pay 40% of the machine value, because I had AMC. However, I did mention that this damage is caused by the negligence of their service engineer, but they didn’t discuss anything about it.When I continuously chased them they dropped me an email to refund only the 40% of the machine value. I feel cheated and harassed!! When I bought the machine they gave us 10 years warranty now they mention that motor is not available as it’s a 5 years old model. My grievance is that since I had already taken the AMC and the damage was also caused by their engineer, why I have to bear the loss. I have already struggled a lot with this machine since last 5 years from the day I bought this machine and now I am losing my hard earned money. Kindly do the needful. Documents attached as follows: 1. Serial number of this machine 2. Bill/ Invoice copy from dealer 3. Job sheets4. AMC card (with 3 years extended warranty) Thanks,Pratibha

I was so excited when my husband bought me this as a gift this past year as we are a family of 6 which means lots of laundry. The first few months I assumed it was operator error trying to learn how the new one worked. Well here we are months later googling why it makes my clothes dirtier coming out than they were going. It leaves black linty looking streaks on all my white clothes, both inside and out and leaves white linty looking streaks on my darks, also both inside and outside. It DOES NOT REMOVE PET HAIR AT ALL! If you purchase one, and have long haired pets that shed, expect to invest in some lint remover. Im on my third type in an attempt to save me time. I will say OxiClean laundry detergent seems to be the only detergent that actually cleaned the clothes. Sadly, stores around here stopped selling. And whatever you do, DO NOT USE LAUNDRY PODS. It DOES NOT DISSOLVE THE HOUSING AND LEAVES SLIMY RESIDUE ALL OVER YOUR CLOTHES. I believe this is due to the fact that despite the setting, it uses little no hot water. Which would be great if it actually cleaned your clothes. I could run my clothes under a faucet with no soap and they would cleaner than this pos. Bottom line. Dont waste your money and if you do keep your expectations very low!
