I am quite disappointed that my french door fridge stopped working with having it less than 4 years. The repairman knew exactly what the problem was when he saw the make/model. He said he has repaired oodles of them. Even though the parts are covered for 10 years the cost for labor is $550. I read online that there was a class action suit but the one I was looking at was dropped. If anyone else knows of a current one I could join please let me know. I dont know that I would feel comfortable every purchasing another LG product.

We purchased the LG Model # LDF7774WW just a few months ago and from the very first wash we noticed that it would not clean the dishes properly, even though I am in the habit of rinsing off the dishes under running water with a dish scrub brush before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, there is a setting for heated water on the panel. It clearly shows the temperature of 160 degrees. However, after suspecting this claim, I tested the water mid-wash with two distinctly different thermometers, one electronic, the other mechanical. Both thermometers showed readings of between 110 degrees and 109.4 degrees. This washer is simply designed to be inferior. Our past GE dishwasher would superheat the water to the point where you could get a mild burn if you were not careful removing metal items from the washer at the end of the cycle. With LG, the dishes feel a little warmer than room temp at the end of the cycle. Avoid this brand and especially this model. It is garbage.

LG RANGES, oven temp sensor fail x 2. This is a real issue with this range. When the Sensor fails the oven temp will climb until one your food goes into flames and glassware blows up. Or you will get a error message...by this time the oven is well past 600 degrees. Wow, I can not believe someone has not been injured due to this poor design.

I purchased my LG refrigerator in February 2017. (Note: it is not yet 3 years old.) I absolutely love the refrigerators features: The 3 drawers in the bottom freezer, the ice/water dispenser and maker in the door, the large, wide door shelves, the separate crisper drawer. (BTW, I still love their design.) The problems with this refrigerator began 2 years after purchasing it. Since then, this less-than-3-year-old refrigerator has completely stopped cooling 3 separate times. We have replaced all the parts in the entire cooling system: the compressor, the evaporator, the filter dryer, and a service valve. It has cost us many hundreds of dollars in labor costs, parts, and food loss. It just broke on us for the last time. We are chucking this lemon and buying a new Not-LG refrigerator. If you look online, you will see a class action suit against LG due to their cooling system issues. LG has known that the design of their refrigerator cooling system is faulty, and they have continued to sell them without addressing their design problems. Once the first year of use is behind you, you must pay for these repairs. In my opinion, LG does not deserve your business. More importantly, you DO NOT WANT an LG! No one wants this much malfunction and trouble.

Has been a good product overall. Some of the plastic parts have broken - cheaply made - but otherwise reliable. Has held up well over the last several years but at around 10 years starting to show some wear on the drum suspension from what I can tell. Guess most washers are only made to last at most 10 years. Then when a repairman came to see why it was shaking more than usual would probably be more prudent to buy a new washer than have the old one fixed.

I purchased an LG washer and dryer at Sears in Overland Park, KS. I have had service out twice complaining about dirty, dingy clothes and a loud banging sound when the washer is filling with water. Both times, I was told to use a high efficiency detergent and 1-2 tablespoons of detergent. I have complied. My clothes are still dirty and dingy. We have taken to soaking the whites in the sink in a Clorox solution to bring them back. I feel as though I might as well get a washboard out and do the laundry by hand.I replaced my upright washer, which was doing a fine job, so that I could have a quiet washer. The noise is louder and the clothes are embarrassingly dirty to the point where I cannot wear them.Nothing has changed in our laundry, same clothes, same people and same amount of wear. We do not perform any manual labor that would create unusually dirty clothes. My husband uses his washables to lie on the couch and watch television. I am a homemaker who hires out all of the dirty work. We both do workout, regularly. In theory, we are a washing machines dream customers.I hired a plumber to deal with the loud bang in the pipes and he told me it was the solenoid. Today, the solenoids were replaced and there is no change in the loud banging in the pipes. If anyone in the house is asleep, the washer cannot be operated because of the very loud bangs.

LFX28978ST/00 Refrigerator: I must be one of the Lucky ones. Purchased 3 years ago and still keeps food cold... BUT thats about it. Nearly every plastic drawer/door shelf has broken. Within a few months, the large drawer and a couple of the door shelves had broken. I went back to retailer HH Gregg (avoid them too like the plague they are) to request replacements. I had purchased the extended bumper to bumper HH Gregg warranty. What a joke that was. After months of runaround, neither HH Greg or LG would do anything about the broken doors, claiming I had abused the fridge without so much as a service call to even inspect it. I just ended up going online and buying replacement parts. Now the icemaker has stopped working and no one seems to know exactly what part number I need to fix it. I almost wish the piece of junk would stop cooling so I could replace it with a NON LG product. I have told my wife to kill me if I ever so much as look at another LG product.

I purchased 2 sets of LG appliances. Both of the dryers have sensor drying that has never worked properly. I have called people out who tell me it is the vents that need cleared. After having that done, it still takes hours, literally to dry things. Sometimes I just give up and hang things in my bathtub to dry. I do not recommend this brand. Model DLG3744W. Purchased from Home Depot.

33 cubic foot French door bottom freezer refrigerator by LG. Purchased 2-18-2014. Died (no power) 2-21-2016. Ice maker always sucked, so we hardly used it. Today while using ice dispenser, the control panel started beeping then whole unit lost power. Checked plug in and it had power. Only the refrigerator would not work. This is a known issue with LG, yet they do not want to help. Luckily I have homeowners insurance that will take care of my $3,500 bad purchase!

Bought stove in October of 2016. Didnt have gas line installed until Dec, but noticed when we reached up to use microwave we were accidentally turning one or both burners on. Called J. C. Penney about problem but were told that no gas would be released until the knob was turned far enough to light the burner and we would hear the clicking and would have time to turn it off. When we had gas installed to stove we found that wasnt the case. Just a small bump would allow gas to release without warning. Very dangerous situation. At 64 years old we should not have to worry about such a problem. Spoke to J. C. Penney about the problem and were told if we had bought their warranty they could look into it. We were told to contact LG but are put in hold for literally an hour or more until I get frustrated and hang up. Wanting to know what consumer protection agency we can contact about the dangers of this stove. Havent used the oven enough to say if there are problems with that. Sounds like this should be a class action.

We have had numerous dishwashers over the years but this LG Dishwasher Model LDF7551ST is the WORST dishwasher we have ever had. Both trays collapse when dishes are loaded, the drain line is insufficient so it periodically doesnt drain. This Thanksgiving dinner at 10:30 p.m. we had to empty the entire thing and wash dishes by hand because the dishwasher wouldnt drain. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CONSIDER THIS DISHWASHER - warranty is dreadful - ours said we had a lemon warranty but despite calling a service man NUMEROUS times our lemon is still being squeezed! Dont know if the warranty issue is with Sears or LG.

Bought an LG DLGX5681 (white) at Lowes on 7/7/14 and on 3/1/15 it just stopped spinning. Only washing maybe 6-8 lbs of wet white clothes straight from the LG washer, which seems to do well. I got one revolution after I turned it on and off and manually changed the load from medium to load, but only one spin before it cut out again. Do NOT buy LG. I read the consumer reports. I purchased based on their recommendations. Dont buy consumer reports. I think theyre being paid.

My LG refrigerator (7 years old) compressor failed, LG does not want to cover labor to replace it. There is (was) a class action lawsuit against LG about faulty compressors so it is a known issue. None of LG authorized repair shops in my area wants to fix this compressor issue. I also called 15 local repair shops and I heard multiple times that even after a compressor is repaired it is about a 50% change that it will work properly. Thats why repair shops dont want to fix them. I am not in a position to spent $600 for labor cost now especially if I may need to pay the same cost again because the compressor issue was not resolved/fixed. It is a very expensive problem that LG has created and knows about and LG has to be willing to repair the compressor at no cost to customers because it is such a persistent problem. LG is refusing to cover the cost of the compressor itself and the labor cost to replace it or provide a refund for the refrigerator so we can afford to buy a new one.

Purchased WT4970 washer November 2014. Since installation washer has deposited material on clothes. After four service calls, three replaced parts, both LG technical support and their authorized service technicians do not have a cause of this problem. The washer is clearly defective and LG refuses to respond to my request for a return to Lowes. Please be aware LG customer service has no authority to make a decision on replacement and have demonstrated a willingness to allow a customer to put-up with a product that doesnt clean clothes for eight months. No end in sight. This washer is the first major appliance that could not be fixed and the first company Ive dealt with who is unwilling to do the right thing and replace the unit. Sadly, this was my first and will be the last purchase of any LG product. I thought they were a honorable company. There are plenty of other choices out there. If customer service is important to you, stay away from LG washers.

I bought a set of appliances from LG less than 2 years ago. First the stove failed after 6 months. They came and replaced the main board. Then dishwasher started acting weird. It sometimes work, sometimes doesnt depending on its mood! Called a technician who said it will cost $450.00 to fix. The biggest problem just happened yesterday. The refrigerator stop working. Everything in the freezer section became waste. About $400 - $500 worth of food got wasted. All 3 appliances failed less than 2 years time. Now, I do not really have money to get the fridge fixed. I have never seen anything like this before. I am giving 1 star because there is no 0 star! In the middle of summer, we have no fridge!

I bought a front loader (LG True Balance) in December 2011. My clothes don’t seem to get cleaned, I watched it run its cycle and it doesnt run like the sales lady said, it will go clockwise 4 tumbles then hesitate, goes counter clockwise 4 times and hesitate and then continues like that the whole wash cycle. It spends more time not doing anything than tumbling. My daughter bought a Frigidaire and I watched that run and it runs like the sales lady said mine should run. It tumbles on both directions but for about 1 minute and only stops for a bit nothing, like mine.

My LG refrigerator was only 2 months old when it died. It took customer service four weeks to the day to get it fixed. One week later, it was not working again. They told us they would give us our money back so we purchased a new refrigerator from another manufacturer. Two days later we were told they were going to fix it. Also they refused to pay for the food we lost. Now it has been an additional three weeks (so two months since it broke) and we are still waiting on parts and the new refrigerator is still broken. At least we purchased a different refrigerator and have something that works. Hopefully we will get our money back on the LG refrigerator. What a headache! I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator on 4/17/2017. On 8/20/2020 the unit stopped cooling. I contacted LG on 8/21/2020 and they confirmed the unit was under warranty and dispatched a local technician to come on 8/27/2020. Technician came as scheduled and basically said LG is known for making faulty compressors and he had about 40 other homes waiting for compressors. I followed up weekly but the parts were on backorder. On 9/11/2020 I received a call stating they could return to fix the unit on 9/17/2020. On 9/17/2020 technician arrived and stated the issue was not the compressor but the tank which holds the coolant. He said he should have the part in 2-3 days. After 5 days of not hearing from them I spoke to LG headquarters who confirmed the local technician did not know the issue so they dispatched a different local technician to arrive on 9/25/2020. The technician did not arrive on 9/25/2020 so I called LG HQ again and they stated the technician cancelled the appointment but did not know why I was not made known of this. They stated corporate approved a defective return number for my home also known as a DNR number but I had to call 888-412-8357 to follow-up. I called that number and waited 2 hours but nobody ever came to the phone. I tried again today, and no luck. I would stay away from LG appliances in all as this has been a nightmare for my family.

This is by far the worst dishwasher Ive ever owned and was the most expensive one! The tines constantly collapse and allow the dishes to tip over. The soap dispenser door is tricky to get closed. Sometimes it wont dispense at all. If the door does come open usually only half the soap is dispensed. It doesnt clean anything. We practically wash every dish before loading, and when you go to unload, half are still dirty. The upper rack will not hold any sized glass or cup well. They constantly tip over. Updated on 06/24/2021: A lot has happened behind the scenes since I made the first post. LG stepped in and offered to set the situation right, so I gave them the opportunity to do so. As you will read here, not only did they fail to make things right, they ended up making it worse. I warn you now, it is not a short read. March 30-Must have gotten someone’s attention. An unidentified person (this is a trend) PMed me via Consumer Affairs (CA) and offered to address the situation. They asked for some info, including billing address for the original purchase. I gave info and waited.April 2- Offer to repair machine at their expense is forwarded to me through CA by an unidentified person. I agree to offer. Sometime after this point, LG orders 2 replacement parts, a new main control board and a display board. I am not sure why the control board was ordered, as it was obvious the display board was the problem. The display board is the problem on every one of these machines.April 6-I get a notification by text from a random number (never identified) informing me that I recently scheduled service for my machine to be performed on April 8. Only problem is, I didn’t schedule service. Someone from LG (never identified) took it upon themselves to schedule this service without consulting me as to whether this was an acceptable time. The text number this was sent from could not receive return calls or texts, and no contact information was available to reach out about this scheduled appointment. After some digging around on the LG site, I figured out that the service was indeed scheduled, and also found out at this time that the above-mentioned parts had been ordered (one part was on backorder) and shipped to the billing address I originally gave on CA. Only problem with this is that the machine is not at the billing address, therefore both the parts and the service tech were heading to the wrong address. If someone had contacted me when the appointment was made, I could have given the correct address. If some useable contact information was made available to me, or if anyone in this process so far had identified themselves, I could have shared the situation with the incorrect address. But none of those things had happened. I share this latest update with the unidentified PM contact on CA.April 7- A box arrives from LG. I open it to find a new control board. Not the display (the part that is actually broken) but the other random part. Turns out that the display board is on national backorder. Not surprising since the OEM display boards have a 100% failure rate. With every single unit of this model needing this part replaced, demand is clearly high.April 8-Tech Visit #1. The service technician calls me to tell me he is 10 minutes away. I then tell him that he is 10 minutes away from the wrong address. He finally gets to the machine (I was able to be there), swaps out the mainboard, figures out mainboard is not the problem. I knew this already. So did the tech before even doing the job. Once he determined the main board was not the problem, he swapped the original board back into the machine and left, planning to return when the display board arrived. Since the mainboard did not appear bad, he returned the new mainboard to LG. This would prove to be a regretful decision.April 13- New display board arrives. I contact service tech and he schedules the next day to come install it. April 14-Tech shows up for Visit #2 (the fact I am giving numerical designations to tech visits should tell you something) and installs display board. I am not at the house this time, or much of the remaining catastrophe would likely have been avoided. According to my wife, he swapped out the board, hit the power button to see it power up, packed up his stuff and left. He did no function check or system diagnosis whatsoever, just looked for the lights to power up. He also went into the LG service system and reported the repair job complete. It was not, and the fact that he did report it as such would create problems down the road. After tech leaves, wife loads machine and tries to run it. After about a minute, it shut down and gave an error code indicating no water flow. I get home and check water supply to make sure that we didn’t have that turned off. I will also mention at this time that I have degrees in both electronic and mechanical engineering, and have been working as a design engineer and troubleshooting technician for electro-mechanical systems over 30 years. So I was able to deduce that we had sufficient water flow, but the electric water valve in the machine was not turning on. I contacted the tech, and he informed me he would come by the next day and check it out.April 15- Tech comes back for Visit #3. During this visit I learned the tech was a refrigeration expert, and had limited experience with dishwashers. He was competent, just not that experienced with LG dishwashers. He figures out that he had plugged something together incorrectly. I am not clear whether this mistake was made during Visit #1 and the incorrect connection was made at the mainboard, or during Visit #2 and the incorrect connection was made at the display board. I suspect it was #1 and the problem was at the mainboard because one of the connectors he attached incorrectly was to the main water valve, thus the valve did not work, as I had identified. Wherever the problem, he swapped the connectors around, ran a diagnostic, declared it good, and left again. When we powered up the machine I could hear the water valve now working, but after about a minute, the same error code and shutdown occurred.April 15 Part 2-The tech comes back that night for Visit #4 (told you we needed numbering). I am there, and we spend quite a bit of time checking out the machine. I teach him a few things about how the systems operate, and using some of my electronic testing equipment we figure out that the system is not seeing a signal from the water flow sensor. Hoping sensor might be bad, the tech ordered a replacement sensor.April 20-Tech got part, and stops by for Visit #5. Flow sensor not the problem. He spends over 2 hours of troubleshooting, including 2 calls to the service center for technical support. They go through everything, including checking the wiring harness. Nothing bad with wiring, but the mainboard is not supplying power to the sensor. It was never admitted to me, but I will bet a month’s pay that when he incorrectly connected the plugs in Visit #1 or #2, the sensor power supply on the mainboard was damaged. If he had not already sent back the new mainboard (remember I said this would be a regretful decision?) he could have swapped in the new board and likely fixed the problem. But he didn’t have the parts, and he was eventually told by the Service Center to stop attempting repair and RMA the machine.April 21- An unidentified person contacted me by text to inform me that the Alternate Resolution claim was started. But I should be prepared for it to be denied because the computer system says that all parts are functional. Remember the tech incorrectly reporting the machine repaired after Visit #2? An explanation by myself containing actual factual information and logic did nothing to change the response.April 23- I receive a phone call from LG asking about how I rated the service I had received in early April. Because the tech had reported he completed the repair, the gentleman calling me had no idea the job was botched, and he wanted to know how I rated my service experience on my freshly-repaired and perfectly-operating LG dishwasher. I don’t think he was very fond of my answers.May 1- Received voice mail from someone at LG telling me I was to be offered a bit over $500 for my permanently broken $1k machine. It further instructed me to contact Shakiah M about payout. May 5-When I talk to Shakiah, I’m told the actual number offered is even less. After several back and forth discussions on both text message and email, I agree to accept the offer, as long as there is no legally-binding contract included. I am assured there is not.Side note: It’s bad enough that almost no one from LG ever identifies themselves, but I am even more amazed by the amount of correspondence throughout this process done by text message on a cell phone. Is this what we call professional corporate behavior in 2021? Text messages? What are we, high-schoolers? May 28- Finally get a written offer. And that assurance there is no legally-binding component to the offer? Not true. I must waive off all rights to pursue further action if I accept this offer.Let’s recap: I started this process with a top-shelf machine with a single defective part. A $200 replacement part and 15 minutes of effort to install this part would have fixed my machine. But thanks to the mistake made by the service tech, I now have a junk machine. And what is the offer from LG after three months of hassle to fix all of this? Half what it will cost to replace it. Now I have a choice. LG is so in breach of contract here (not the warranty, BTW) that I will almost assuredly win in court. But small claims court is a hassle. I have tried to give LG the opportunity to make this right, and they continue to fail me, and will no longer even respond to me.30 day deadline to accept offer is June 27, three days from now. If LG really wants to make this right, then they need to do something better than half replacement cost for a machine THEY BROKE. If not, looks like I will see them in court. And I won’t be suing for just the cost of the machine. Punitive damages will be added on as well, and I have high confidence in my case and my ability to present it. I have been an expert witness in court proceedings several times, so court does not faze me. I don’t want the hassle of it, but I won’t be treated as a pushover either. This is LG’s mistake, LG needs to fix it with a reasonable offer.Original Review: We bought an LG LDP6797BD dishwasher in 2018, with the intentions of putting it in our house being remodeled. We used it in our rental home for about 8-10 months before removing it from service and putting it in storage. It never got installed in the house, so after sitting for 2 years, we pulled it out of storage and put it in another rental property where it has worked flawlessly for 5 months. Now after a total service life of 13-15 months, we walk in the kitchen one day to find it dead. Wont power up, wont light up, wont reset. Looking at a few videos, I picked up a line filter. Not the problem. In fact, once I had it apart to change the line filter, I could see the red LED lighting on the board. So clearly it has power. Then after some more research, I find the web full of similar complaints. The number of purchasers with failures occurring, conveniently almost immediately after the end of their one-year warranty, is simply staggering. The Amazon listing for this dishwasher has 100% 1-Star ratings. Let that sink in. 100% 1-star ratings, I have never seen that on ANYTHING in my life. And especially not on an item that costs $1000. This design clearly has a significant design flaw somewhere. The number of instances of identical failure occurring within a span of 12-16 months of service life is not a coincidence, and this statement is coming from a highly-experienced engineer with 3 decades of experience in design and manufacture of electro-mechanical systems. I know better than to believe that any manufacturer can take products to market and NEVER make a mistake in the design cycle. But what that manufacturer chooses to do about it when mistakes happen is what defines a company. This machine has a major design flaw, LG knows it, and apparently has chosen to do nothing about it. And I guess they have a right to not do anything about it. Well, I have a right to do something about it as well. If LG continues to leave customers like myself that spent quite a bit of money on a clearly defective product, then it will be the last of my money LG will ever see. And I will go out of my way, every chance I get, to encourage as many people as possible to also not ever spend THEIR money on an LG product. This is site number 2 for the day, I wonder how many more times I can tell this story before the weekend is over?If LG believes that not addressing this issue will save them money, I can assure you it will not. They will lose far more money from me alone than what it would cost them to make this right with me. Add to that lost revenue the amount of money they will lose with all the people I convince to not ever buy LG as well, and this will quickly become an expensive mistake many, many times over what it would take to fix it. If everyone else being screwed does the same, we can make a statement that LG simply will not be able to ignore. LG, the ball is in your court.

Cancer Warning for using this stove or oven. This oven/Stove was just installed yesterday. After reading the reviews Im scared to even turn it on. On top of that there is a Cancer warning sticker on the oven door for using this product. This concerns me as I am already a three time cancer survivor!!! I have a screen shot but not knowing how to upload the screen shot to this review. Im horribly afraid that this stove will catch fire if I use it, also, after reading the reviews and debating if to turn the circuit breaker off instead. On top of that reading the easy clean does not work and actually causes more issues. Im so unhappy about this.

My LG french door refrigerator is six years old. Six months after I purchased it the little spring on the French doors broke I had to buy a new on eBay. A little after the warranty went out the ice maker broke. I paid for a whole new one it wasnt long after that the ice maker broke again so I just left it and started making ice with trays. Now it has stopped cooling and freezing. Now what LG? Youre taking peoples hard earned money thinking they are getting something trustworthy! I have an old Maytag in my garage. Its 30 years old never stopped not once.

But of course after the warranty expired, it stops working 4 months later... After I have somebody come figure out the problem, it will probably cost 200.00... So disappointed in LG products... I feel nothing is ever made right anymore... Made cheaply so youre forced to spend more money on repairs and services...

I purchased my range in 2009. Near the end of the warranty, my oven stopped working. I called to have it repaired and it was repaired under the warranty. February of 2013, the oven stopped working again! I bake a lot so was upset I had to get it repaired again. We live in a small town and it is hard to get repairs done. After phoning around, I found out that the range had a recall on it in 2012! Why were letters not sent out? It took three months to finally get it repaired. Yesterday, November 6th, the oven doesnt work again! I called the recall line and had to fax the bill of sale to them. As of now, I havent heard back. I told them I would just like to get a new range so I dont keep having problems with this range because I bake a lot. The person I talked with said I probably wouldnt get the full value for the range, if they dont repair it again. I cant go without an oven for another 3 months. After the third breakdown, they should just replace the stove.

I spent $800 for this machine and the clothes are absolutely filthy after washing with this machine. Like, I would have to take them to the coin laundromat. I am embarrassed to let guests use it. It is nasty. It gives me error messages of being unbalanced even when I am doing a tub clean cycle and there is no clothes in the machine at all. Ive had the service people out 3 times. They did nothing. Finally LG decided that the problem could be fixed – the month after my year-long warranty expired. Now they want $200 to fix the same problem I was calling them about all year. I am so frustrated. I am going to throw away an $800 washing machine because it is absolutely disgusting.

We purchased an LG front loader washing machine, LG dryer and LG refrigerator in 2006. The dryer needed repair service once; the washing machine had several issues including nasty smell, weird spots on clothes and needed lots of repair, and the refrigerator has stopped working twice. We had purchased the appliances through Best Buy and were able to cover some of those repairs under the extended warranty. All the appliances are long out of warranty now. Last year, we found that there was an internal leak in the washing machine causing the rear left housing to rust completely through which resulted in a flooded laundry area every time the machine was running. Now the freezer/refrigerator stopped working (again). I have not yet contacted LG as I dont expect them to actually do anything about these issues. The dryer is still running as far as I know. In all fairness, we have used the washer extensively but based on my experience with other brands, I would not buy any LG appliances again. They were expensive, turned out to be substandard, and have costly repairs.

I have owned the LG Inverter direct drive washer and dryer for approx 3 years. I have absolutely hated the washer from almost day 1. The dryer works great no problems. The washer on the other hand I cannot stand. My clothes come out dirtier at times then when they go in at times staining clothes, clothes DO NOT come out clearly not clean. White I have to over bleach and sometimes wrecking the clothes and put them on extra long soaking cycle. I cannot express how much I hate this washer. I would rather go to the laundromat except for the convenience. I wish I would of read the reviews before purchasing. Im glad to see Im not the only one with the same problem - I was beginning to think It was me. When I complained to my husband he just looked at me like I was out of my mind. I washed my bedding this week and put the (clean) or was suppose to be clean back on the bed I pointed how disgusting sheets looked worse than before they were washed. Please save yourself the hassle and HEADACHE - DO NOT PURCHASE the LG TOP LOAD WASHER.

The brand is fine. However, their customer service is horrible. They run you in different directions and nothing is their responsibility. We had a damaged fridge upon delivery. We did not receive a replacement over the holidays and there was no confirmation of when we were to receive our new one. Chad was extremely rude when speaking with me over the phone and does not know how to deal with people. LG and their customer services apparently does not deal with the delivery team and their customer service again gives you the run around. Their customer service is worse than Comcast.

LG Inverter Linear compressor went bad 3 weeks ago. This is my second purchase of a LG refrigerator. I love the adjustable space inside the refrigerator and the constraint cooling throughout the refrigerator. My issue is I have been without a refrigerator for 3 weeks with family coming in tomorrow. My husband called the LG service department on November 25 and they found us an authorized dealer but they are an hour south of our home. They came out on November 27 and told us our compressor went bad and would order another one. Needless to say, Thanksgiving dinner was served out of coolers and neighbors spare refrigerators. We have been calling both the LG service department and the service company that LG said would fix our compressor. The service company says they cannot get a compressor when we call them. LG service department says they have them in stock. I am not sure what is going on but three weeks without a refrigerator is extremely bad customer service. I need help with getting my refrigerator fixed and don’t know where to turn.

My problem with this machine, is that Ive never seen a wash machine take so long to wash a load of clothes! If I use the Speedwash feature, which is supposed to be a 35-minute cycle, it will take nearly two hours to wash the clothes. Loads that I know should take longer, like extended soak cycles, stain removal cycles, extra rinse or extended spin cycles, extend the wash cycles into hours and hours. Im dissatisfied with this purchase and I have seen so many complaints that I know I wont get the matter resolved to my satisfaction. I remember when this company went under the brand of GoldStar. I didnt like the look of their appliances back then and they were known as cheap. They must have found a company to re-market and re-brand them, with great looking outside features, but the same crappy inside components.

I have now seen hundreds if not thousands of online pictures of my similar issue with this product. The control panel is NOT sealed correctly so the steam seeps out on the top and has entered the thin plastic which encases the control panel and created small but obvious cracks. This would not happen if the door/panel was sealed tightly with some form of a seal, which it is not. It is plastic meets plasic on a edge. Therefore the steam enters creating heat and pressure and cracking the display as well as allowing moisture into the electrical panel.** Here is a link to a video that shows the issue. This is a design flaw. Its also a hazard since the water vapor is seeping into the panel. My dishwasher is also not very old. I do not recommend this product since the design flaw not only has NOT been fixed, it has not been addressed by LG despite numerous reports on the web. Shame on LG for allowing a flaw to just continue each year in this model.

Ive had range for 18 months. When I auto cleaned the oven for the first time (dont use that often) three months ago, the F3 button started flashing about 2 hours into it but it continued to finish cycle. So then the phone calls finally staying home from work for a service repair who takes an hour to assess the range and then he needs to order the part and have it sent and then then set up another appt. but it worked. So I cleaned the lower oven 6 weeks later and the control panel shorts out again. Service is coming so well do the same thing all over again. Why have a self-cleaning oven when every time you use it, the control panel burns itself out? Is it faulty insulation?

2017 FH4U2VCN Front load washing machine - Quite the most unreliable machine I have purchased in 60 years. Constantly stops at the rinse/spin stage with uneven load flagged. After 6 months of this I had LG engineer call and make the usual excuses too much load, too little load, wrong type of mix. What a load of tosh. To placate me he replaced the motor and housing to what seems no improvement whatsoever. It is now 12 months old and unless it is fixed once and for all it will go back to Currys and legal action will follow. The machine fails to complete on average three out of every five washes. At this point Currys is not in the picture as servicing has to go through LGs totally abysmal website where they cant even manage to email you that your complaint has been received - just warning you only to sent report once! What the blazes is that about?

We did a complete kitchen makeover and chose top end appliances, or at least so we thought! The LG refrigerator is the absolute worst appliance we have ever bought. From day one there were issues and LGs customer service is non existent! Has never made ice on a regular basis, now doesnt make ice at all. The plastic drawers are all broke and duct taped so that we can still use them. Most importantly the lighting has not worked correctly since the day we first plugged it in. Some times they work, most times they dont. At one point we smelled smoke and opened the frig to find the plastic cover on the top mounted lights had completely melted off. Luckily our home did not burn! At this time our top end LG refrigerator does not make ice, has no lighting (we use a flash light to find what we need), the bottom freezer works when it wants to and our drawers are all duct taped so that we can use them. Within 45 days of purchasing our brand new LG front loading washing machine, it began to leak water all over my floor. A few repair people came out and told me that the machine was over-sudsing and to use less detergent. They advised no more than a tablespoon of detergent - the machine still over-suds and drains out onto the floor. I have made several phone calls to LG and had several repair people out and they keep telling me the same thing - use less soap. There is no point in washing clothes and towels if you can only use 1 teaspoon of soap, the laundry does not smell good. I had a Whirlpool Duet, front loader, for 10 years and it NEVER leaked. Same laundry, water, soap, location, etc., the only thing that changed was the HUGE MISTAKE OF NOT BUYING ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL!

I have owned an LG refrigerator for five years, and have now had 3 times where it stopped sufficiently cooling due to a well known issue with the compressor and other internal components. There is even a class action lawsuit that covers numerous models. Part of the class-action lawsuit requires them to extend the warranty up to 5 years. Since I am now about 7 months past that 5 years warranty, LG will cover the parts to repair, but not the labor. Since the repair is quite involved, it is expensive and therefore not worth it, especially since this would have been the THIRD time to replace the compressor and other parts, and there is no guarantee it would be a durable repair. If the third failure of the compressor had happened just 7 months earlier, I would have been entitled, per the terms of the settlement, to compensation. I realize at this point LG is not obligated to do anything beyond the terms of the class action settlement, but it is infuriating to me that a company would produce a product like this, need to have a class action lawsuit to do right by its customers, and seems content to leave me with a product they know is faulty and refuse to take responsibility based essentially on a technicality. Its disgraceful. Avoid LG products. This is a nightmare.

The new fridge did not work but LG would not accept this for several weeks so we were without full use of our new product. After much hassle we finally received a new fridge in Aug. 2014. We have not received the rebate and are told each time that we call (speaking to a service rep in Panama) that the check is in the mail and we will have it in a few days. This is going on for the last 4 to 5 weeks. Our original rep, Mohinee **, quit taking our calls and will not respond to emails from us. We asked if we could speak to someone in Canada to see if our check has actually been mailed and were refused access to a Canadian rep. We then called information for LG electronics Canada and were given the number 416 743 7575. We have made 3 calls and no one answers at that number. LG certainly has our number and our money. Purchased a $1500 5 burner range (gas) late Nov 2013. Was delivered and installed December 2013. Used the cook top, but not the oven until Christmas. Christmas day dinner was ruined due to oven not functioning properly. Took twice the time to cook as it should have, nothing browns, everything looks anemic. Called Home Depot and got LG certified tech information. First visit January 2014, next 2 visits included 2 new sensors and a control board. Still does not work properly. Multiple calls to LG, and was promised that after 3 visits and 3 parts replaced it was deemed a lemon and would be exchanged for new range. Never happened. 10 months and 8 tech visits later, and I still dont qualify for exchange/replacement. Executive services is useless. Adrienne (the supervisor of all supervisors) asked for receipt and invoice to be faxed for the resolution team. Faxed immediately after conversation and one week later was told I STILL dont qualify for exchange or refund. When I asked her what does qualify she said, as an LG customer you are on a need-to-know basis. She refused to tell me! I have not encountered ONE LG person who has been helpful or even nice. I will soon be replacing all 5 major LG appliances with Samsung. NEVER WILL I BUY LG AGAIN. Luckily Home Depot has facilitated this interaction and I am now getting my money back. Home Depot customer service is AMAZING.

I purchased an LG Inverter because I had purchased an LG washer and dryer set and I was happy with them. The dishwasher in the beginning worked okay. Now the dishwasher stinks and my dishes are not clean after a 2-hour wash. They come out filmy and dirty. I wash the dishes before they go into the washer and it still does not help. And my clothes washer has developed a horrible smell. I have followed the cleaning instructions with marginal success. With the dryer, I was able to program dryer settings and now that doesnt work. I will never buy another LG product again. Buyer beware, do not buy these products.

We bought lg model lfx31925st/00 side by side refrigerator for over $2000. From day one ice maker leaked water to floor, ice froze together as a chunk, or didnt work. LG has had repairman out 3 times, and totally replaced ice maker unit, had repairman check water lines, and overall refrigerator condition. I have also paid and had same company out to replace ice maker. Its a defect in the model, we got a recall card months ago, but heard nothing else. Recently new situation, (now out of warranty) glass shelf over drawers, literally blew apart in a million pieces. Well we must have called them a hundred times by now. Now that its out of warranty, they tell us to go online and buy items. They are not going to help us. With all the LG refrigerator issues, any knowledge of this recall? Any suggestions?

I picked it because of the price. It was on sale and I have always trusted LG appliances. It lasted a very long time. It was maintenance free. It kept things cold without freezing things out. Its real big and still doesnt take up much space in my kitchen. I still love mine to this day and will always own one. My last one lasted for years and IM very hopeful this one will too. It has very much met my expectations and more. I will always own a lg.

It is very easy to use. It cleans well and has lots of options that save time and water and guessing which setting to use. I Have owned and used front loaders before and this fits the bill. The only drawback, if you could call it that, is you must leave the door ajar when done to prevent a mildew smell. But that is really just normal for a front loader and this one is better than most.

LG countertop microwave oven completely quit working after 3 weeks. Customer Service said I could get a refund but its now been over 3 months and no refund. I had to write 2 letters and make numerous phone calls - LG is a nightmare to deal with. Their customer service people are barely understandable over the phone, and they never follow up on any of my letters. I just emailed the company again and now they are asking for the same documentation already sent them. I had to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the FTC, and the New Mexico State Atty General. The next step will be to sue them in small claims court. This has been a huge waste of time and frustration. I will never purchase an LG product again - a very unprofessional corporation who do not honor their warranties.

We bought an LG refrigerator (Model # LMX28994ST /00) on June 12, 2012 (Delivered on the 22nd of June) at Sears #100-1425 Sumas Way Abbotsford B.C. On New Year’s Day we opened the fridge and the cream for coffee was warm. I opened the freezer compartment with all the expensive foodstuffs for holiday entertaining was thawed so all of the fridge items and the expensive food had to be thrown out. We called the service dept. for we had 5 year extended warranty on January 2, 2015 and it took almost 6 days for the service man to arrive. He told us that the motherboard had fried the compressor - we have been waiting for parts to come and it is FEBRUARY the 2nd and they might come this Friday if we are lucky. Sears says feel my pain - I havent had a fridge since New Years Day!!!! I am diabetic and need a fridge for veg., etc. for eating out is so unhealthy! I will never set foot in a Sears store again and I will tell everyone about this experience!! I have always used Sears for my appliances and have sent others to them. Have I looked into the future and found appliance buying a scary thing?!

We had bought an LG television which was our first LG purchase. Then I was at Lowe’s one day and needed a new refrigerator. We ended up purchasing the LG French door refrigerator in a little over four years ago and I loved it. It was everything I expected until the compressor went out. It took four weeks to get it fixed which was a long time. There are two ice makers. One in the door and one in the bottom drawer. We noticed that it wasn’t making ice. At first, it was still cold, but over a couple of days it stopped keeping things frozen. A couple of days after that, nothing was cold in the refrigerator.I called the number that’s inside the refrigerator and they wanted to know the details of when I purchased it and did I have proof of purchase. I’m not sure how that worked between LG and the people that came out but they had to contact a rep and she said, “We don’t have a rep in your area.” Someone else called me and scheduled. They said it would be a week. Then I called back and they said they had to reschedule because they didn’t have an LG repairman in Alabama. They were gonna have to get a certified LG repairman to come and fix it. They had me describe what the unit did. They were able to determine that it was probably the compressor and they sent the parts. About two weeks after we got the part, the LG repairman came from Georgia and fixed the refrigerator. I haven’t had any issues with it since the gentleman fixed it but I probably wouldn’t buy any LG refrigerator again.

Our LG washer/dryer is less than 5 years old. We bought these top of the line machines since we are getting older and wanted to be trouble-free for the foreseeable future. This year, we had to replace both circuit boards on the dryer. Then after that, the drum would not turn and the motor just buzzed. So we had to replace the motor too. A little reading on the internet and it seems that many people have had the same problem with the centrifugal switch on the motor, circuit boards needing replacement is common as well. Now, the washing machine has started to make a loud, squeaking sound when it runs. My old washer/dryer combo was purchased in 1986 and was still working perfectly in 2007 when we bought the LG units. We paid a premium for a top of the line, but we sure didnt get a top of the line reliability.

My 1st review 10/2020 was not acknowledged... My issues with LG was with my dryer shortly after I purchased my combo from Sears in 2004. Over the last year or so our washing machine has been leaking more and more. The mysterious thing is that it’s intermittently. Well, it finally decided to go all the way crazy & water was spewing from the bottom of the washing machine from somewhere. By the time we noticed it our washing area and hallway was completely flooded upstairs and water was leaking all through our house downstairs. It was horrible! I’m now stuck with a washer we don’t want anymore out of fear of flooding & knowledge the manufacturing company will be no help. After researching I see I’m not alone, but nothing has yet to be done by LG. Life’s not Good LG!

We purchased all new kitchen appliances just over 2 yrs ago in Dec 2013. 1st the microwave was delivered dented. They came in and ordered replacement parts which were delivered dented not once, not 2x, not 3x, but 4 times. Then the fridge/freezer stopped making ice, needed a part replaced. The range/oven door glass was developing uncleanable stains in between the front of the door and the inside of the door. Then the oven door started to have a weak seal causing the top of the door to become dangerously hot. My legs were burnt a couple of times when removing items from oven. The door was replaced. The dishwasher stopped working because of a clogged hose. After calling LG for help many times! They sent a tech. And the parts and labor were covered although out of warranty. 2 days later another part went on the dishwasher and again is not working. 1 day after the microwave is not working either!!! Seriously? I cant tell you how many phone calls it has taken to get some positive response from LG. Call after call there was always a reason why they could not help me at that moment and asked that I call back. The customer service is awful! I spoke with several hours, kept me on the phone from 15 to 20 min at a time and half the time they would not even record or take notes of the call! I have missed work and sleep over this and all they can say is we are sorry for the inconvenience. They have no clue. I want these appliances gone! And replaced with another brand. Anything else would be an improvement. Stay away from LG!

The LG TROMM washing machine is a horrible waste of money. LG must have put all their efforts into making a machine that appears to be a high tech, environmentally friendly machine without actually testing it. The clothes stink when they come out so you have to run empty clean cycles frequently which, of course, waste water and energy (hot water cycle). The safety latch errors outweigh too much. Their customer service department (barely spoke English when I called) told me to unplug it and wait for five minutes. I will not buy another LG product and I will encourage everyone I can to do the same.

In my last LG fridge it had the see through door that lit up when you tapped it and I actually really like that feature. It saves power to not have to open the door to gaze into the fridge when unsure of what to eat. The only thing I disliked about it was how slow the water came out of the door. Several years ago my wife purchased an LG French door refrigerator. Almost immediately we began to hear weird noises from the freezer so we called in a service call. We were told it was ice forming in the back wall of the freezer and it was interfering with the fan blades. The tech told us the only cure was to unplug the refrigerator and let the ice melt. We did this and over the next several years were required to do it a number of times more. The tech told us it was a design flaw and LG would void the warranty if we called it in too often, that is if LG even responded. The ice drawer has no back to it and ice continually falls behind it and onto the bottom of the freezer under the freezer drawer. So that whenever you open the drawer, ice is pulled out onto the floor. Just tonight, my son noticed that there was a burning smell in the fridge and that several food containers were warm. Turns out the lights in the refrigerator are not turning off when the door is closed, so I had to unscrew the bulbs to prevent a fire or food spoilage. At this point I dont even think I will call LG as their service and warranty performance is either awful or nonexistent. Needless to say I will never buy another LG product and will vociferously deter anyone I know from purchasing one. As an aside, I received an LG Blu-ray player as a gift a while back and the first time it was hooked up, it didnt work either. It had to be returned for an exchange and while the second one worked it too has regular problems and has to be unplugged to be rebooted in order to function. I guess LG stands for Lousy Goods or Lotsa Grief.

I purchased an Lg Washer and dryer a little over a year ago. Within the first year I had to have the washer repaired a total of four times with three of those repairs being done for the same issue. When I bought the washer at Pacific Sales in San Dimas Ca, I purchased an extended warranty. Just recently, the washer began to leak water again. I contacted the warranty department and notified them of the problem. They sent a technician out and he deemed the washer unrepairable since it had been repaired for the same thing several times. I then contacted LG and told them that they needed to replace my washer or give me my money back. This washer is a lemon. They told me that I was out of warranty and that I had to deal with my extended warranty company. I told them that I already had and that since the problem was a pre-existing one, they would have to replace it.So after two months, I still dont have a washer that works and not only that, I have a wash room that has been damaged due to the leaks from the washer. My wood floor has begun to warp. I have done everything that LG has asked me to do and provided and they continue to give me the run around and blaming everyone but themselves.

This problem dates back to April 2019. My 1 yr old LG Refrigerator stopped working so I called LG and they dispatched a Tech from A&E repair (Sears). The tech told me it was compressor and evaporator and would be about 1000 to fix. I told him I would contact LG as it should be under warranty. So he charge me 119 dollars and left. I called LG. They said it was in fact under warranty and shouldnt have been charged. They dispatched the same repair people 1 weeks later. So it now been 2wks. with no Refrigerator. Repair guy came and had to order the parts (why couldn’t he see the first guys diagnostic).2 more weeks without Refrigerator. Guy showed up and fixed the problem. Fast forward to July 15th 2019 dead refrigerator again, So I called LG. They assured me this would be fixed in a timely manner! Well they promised by the 31st and A&E confirmed it but to no avail, A&E rescheduled it for the 9th of AUG. Well after hours on phone they said they will come here on the 7th which is today. The guy shows up and looks at it, takes the back off and says we have more issues not just the compressor but the evaporator and he will need to order parts. So now it’s been 3 weeks and he can’t be back here until the 26th.We have been living out of ice chest to keep our food cold. We are a family of 4 so wasting a lot of time and money for ice, I am a heart patient and need to eat a certain way, so I can’t rely on fast food. This has been a complete nightmare. I spent over 2000 dollars on a product I thought was quality. On another note I purchased a LG 60 inch TV and it died 14 months later just out of warranty--1000 dollars down the drain. So much for Lifes Good.

I called customer service for my LG True Balance Direct Drive Washer which I purchased in 2012, so its 5 years old. It has been going off balance and slow to fill with the dribble of water coming from the internal outlet in the washer. It would take all day to do one small load of wash because of this. The phone service is outsourced to India. When I finally got someone who could understand the problem, they said it would cost $350 for one of their service people to come out. COME ON! When I said that was ridiculous, they said they knew it was a bit pricey. REALLY?The smart diagnosis app would not download. When I went on YouTube to see if I could figure things out, I saw the little blue rinse cap emit water on the cycle, WHAT A SURPRISE, mine never did work, I didnt even know it was supposed to shoot water into the washer. I called an independent appliance repairman who came out for $49, which would go toward parts and labor if I needed it. He took one look at my 5-year-old LG WASHER and said, These are nothing but problems, I have left homes with people crying over the problems with these washers. Dump it and get a G.E.washer. LG used to be GoldStar which was the worst brand out there, they just remarketed themselves. I wanted to cry. I spent A LOT of money on this set and for a repairman to not even open the back panel- speaks volumes. He opened the lid, spun the barrel, and looked at me and said, You have more than one problem here, its going to cost at least $400 to repair, are you sure you want to do that with a machine 5 years old? I did extensive research on these products before I purchased with Consumer Guide and Reviews. I thought I did a good job with choosing wisely. Repair guy said: They all work good when they are new.

We had this dishwasher for 11 mos before we noticed cracks along the top of the co tell panel. LG claims that this is surely cosmetic akin to a scratch or dent. I disagree, this is a poorly designed unit. Lowes actually did not want to cover this cosmetic defect, the repairman got it covered due to the cracks allowing moisture into the controls. Fast forward 3 mos, the newly replaced control panel now has cracks the same as the previous panel. The plastic used on these panels is apparently defective or the unit produces more heat than the panel can withstand. This is an engineering issue and not enough testing was done to notice the apparent heat issues. LG Washer/Dryer unit. Noticed water on floor, thought it was the washer. Repairman identified water coming from dryer. He was not able to fix the problem. Might add, weve passed the one yr. warranty and didnt purchase an extended warranty thinking back over 50 yrs of never having to call a W/D repair person. After some personal research discovered the water drain was not connected to the proper reservoir. Never saw a drop of water in the prescribed reservoir which means it was never properly installed at the factory or whatever reason LG can figure who to blame. Theyve given me some repair phone #s. None service our area. Discovered that they have a very narrow presence for repair people. This is a BUYER BEWARE of LG. No service, poor and rude customer service and a phone number with a broken answering string. In the meantime, LG has a duty and a responsibility to mitigate all damages and the Consumer Affairs Division of the State of California needs to look into a company that sells their products without providing a reasonable method of getting repair service. Their star deserves a huge Zero. I bought both items at Home Depot and they could not give me a repair person for LG. Right now were stuck with having an expensive dryer that doesnt work. Carting a basket of wet laundry to dry outside is a huge inconvenience for an 80 yr. old.

I got use to hanging the clothes, and put towels outside to dry. I had to call LG service 3 different times over a 5 month period. They did everything to avoid sending a repairman over. All they would do was tell me to try something different each time. 1) dont use energy saver 2) lint in dryer 3) coil on back of dryer was too long. Last week I spent over 45 minutes on the phone demanding a repairman. FINALLY one came out. It was the heating element. It was not working. This type of service is unacceptable. This may be a great product. We were just unlucky to receive a defect. Customers are not to be treated as though we are idiots.

Purchased LG Washer in November 2020. Experienced several intermittent leaks. It caused the level legs to stain my floor orange. The stains cannot be removed. Come to find out after the technician had troubleshoot several times that there is an issue with the Deep Wash causing the washer to overfill. Quite upset that this issue exists. The board now needs to be replaced.

I did not have a problem with the sales department at Madison appliances. My problem is with my two year old LG slide-in stove. I bought it a few years ago for my new kitchen. Actually, I saved up my money to make this big purchase. Now, only two years later, it has quit working. I called LG. After thirty minutes on the phone, I realized I would need to call a local repairman for help with fixing my stove in Savannah, Georgia: LG provided me with a recommendation to call, but they did not service my area. Now, $360 later, my two year old stove will be getting fixed by a reputable appliance repair company in my area. I will never buy LG again.I have now purchased a refrigerator and a stove within the last four years total. I have had to replace my ice maker on my refrigerator to the tune of $200 that appears to be rusting on the stainless steel (that has not been treated improperly in any way) and now I am replacing the board on the back of my stove to the tune of $360. BEWARE - I strongly urge everyone to NOT buy LG.

I have had several LG washing machines and have always like them. They are reliable, last forever and can handle many types of loads in it, from heavy items, bedding or delicate. The only issue I have with mine now is sometimes it cannot balance itself. I then have to do it myself.
