I bought a Whirlpool microwave oven last year. The last one year, it has worked fine. The day after the warranty period was over, the microwave oven is not working .The rotating part is not rotating, so I called your customer care center. They sent one guy to trouble hoot, he said that the rotating part is faulty and I need to spend around Rs. 3,500.00 to rectify the problem .The cost of the microwave oven is Rs. 6,500.00.How can I spend Rs. 3,500.00 to rectify the problem? That too, how it happened the day next to the warranty period. Now, I have a doubt that as I purchased the article in Saravana Store T Nagar/Jayachandran stores in T Nagar, whether I am getting such kind of problem. Because when I purchased, they gave me a lot of gifts. That time itself I suspected.I trusted Whirlpool Company. I heard that Whirlpool Company is good so I purchased a double door fridge 5 years ago. The same problem I had when I purchased the fridge, the day next to my fridge’s warranty period, it happened to me. That time, I did not think like that. But now, the same problem happened to my microwave oven. So, I am suspecting about the genuinity of the Whirlpool Company. I am totally dissatisfied about the product of the Whirlpool. I will give you my microwave oven. You take it freely. You can use my microwave oven for your demo purpose. So that in the future no customers will have problem which I had. Do reply to this mail and let me know when you are going to come and collect the article.

Whirlpool duet - This washing machine is absolutely horrible!!! I pull clothes out and they are tore up! We have replaced parts that we were told could be causing the damage and its the same thing! I am very unhappy! Ill be calling Whirlpool again but Ill probably get the same runaround - oh we are very sorry we dont have any known issues with that machine. Clearly when you look online it is a very known issue!! I doubt all of these people lied about calling!!

We purchased a Whirlpool Duet Front Loading Washer and Dryer. The control panel on the washer went out in March. We called for a repair. The repairman came, told us we needed to replace the control panel and he would order it. My American Express was charged $389.91 on March 26th. I called today, April 9, asking about where the part was and when my machine would be repaired. I was told the part would not be available until July 11, 2013. I cannot believe that a company would expect a customer to wait nearly four months for a part as well as charge them for the parts and labor four months ahead of the part. When I called, I was first told that there were 15 parts in stock, but then was told that there were not any available to me. I have cancelled the service but it will take them three weeks to credit my card back for the part.

I purchased Whirlpool washer in Dec.2017 and used it in winter months only (Nov to March). It kept leaking and had to get appliance repair service for $50 and was told that machine is defective and whirlpool should repair it or replace it. I phoned whirlpool and they told me I have to use their appliance repair shop to evaluate the machine for cost of $130. The inlet valve was leaking and needed replacement for a cost of $253.55 and whirlpool shirked all and any responsibility. Dont buy whirlpool as it is not a good product and service is poor.

Since buying a Whirlpool Cabrio washer about 3 years ago have had several breakdowns. Within 6 months the computer completely failed. Since then it failed again. About every six months it costs me around $125 to get it running. The thing is a piece of junk. If the load is slightly unbalanced it just shuts down during the spin cycle. The old Maytag we had ran for over 25 years with the belt replaced once. No other problems. Will not buy another Whirlpool again.

Bought an extended warranty and no results from vendor other than refund $$ on what is left of warranty. Original cost $3200, now useless p.o.s. We purchased a Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator in December 2016. About 3 months later the back panel was frozen preventing it to cool. We unplugged it and called customer service. They sent out a repairman, but by then it had thawed out. He told me he couldnt fix what he couldnt see, but he didnt even check it out. Two months later it did the same thing. Then he said I must have left the door open. He made me look stupid. During that year he came out 4 times until he finally changed all parts. We kept telling customer service we wanted a new one. After going back and forth with them they finally are reimbursing us, but they charged us $300.00 because we didnt want another Whirlpool product... now we found out they have the worst ratings and we certainly had a very bad experience not to mention all the food I had to throw out because of it. They did not care at all. So please do not purchase any Whirlpool products. I would not recommend that product to anyone.

I purchased the Amana washer # NTW4560YQO 10 months ago - when I put on the warn setting I would get an alternate cold warm but a warm wash. At the beginning of July suddenly all I got was cold water. The machine is still under warranty so I called and I got an authorized repair person who came out and replaced the mixing valve.. then I went to wash clothes and yes all I got was cold water. The authorized repair person came out and could not figure why. He called Whirlpool tech dept and they told him it was working the way it was supposed to. Now it does not give any warm water so I do not know how the tech person can make that statement. They then sent yet another authorized repair person from a different repair company and yet again the tech person said it is working the way it is supposed to. IT IS NOT WORKING THE WAY IT WORKED WHEN I PURCHASED IT AND THE WAY IT WORKED FOR 9 MONTHS. When I called customer disservice they kept repeating, our tech people say it is working the way it is supposed to. Then they tried to tell me it was the ground water. I want to know how many others out here have had the same problem. I really feel this is a defective machine and I want my money back or I want compensation and an acknowledgement that there is a problem with their crappy machine.

I spend countless hours on hold trying to get a real person... When I do they send me to someone else where the queue starts over. I purchased a Whirlpool brand refrigerator from PC Richards two months ago. The compressor has stopped working causing my refrigerator to stop cooling and in turn all my food has gone bad. I reached out to P.C. Richards and they immediately credited me a check for the full amount of the refrigerator, with the option to get a new one delivered to me. I asked P.C.R. customer service if I would be credited for the food in my fridge and they suggested I reach out to the manufacturer. I reached out and, to my dissatisfaction Whirlpool will not credit me for the loss of the food in the refrigerator. I am completely disappointed. As I mentioned before I purchased the fridge 2 months ago. This is clearly a manufacture issue. I purchased a lemon and I am getting no support from Whirlpool customer affairs department. As a person who works for a reputable company in the purchasing department, I will see to it that we never do business with this company again. A company that doesn’t stand for anything or even compensates their customer for a faulty product should not be in business. Forgot to mention the customer affairs rep. Offered me fifty dollars for my troubles. Which I turned down. Besides the fact that fifty dollars will not cover a third of the items in my fridge, money is no longer the problem. It is the lack of customer service for purchasing one of their appliances. I am completely disappointed and will never recommend or purchase this product again.

This is the worst washing machine Ive ever purchased. Bought 12/19. The water level never never goes up high enough, to cover the cloths. I have to add water no matter what setting. I hate that. The sensor isnt working. You arent able to adjust it yourself, its computerized. The water shuts off when you lift the lid so you cant rinse out the soap or fabric softener caps. I hate that. The lid locks when the rinse cycle starts so I have to unlock the lid to add fabric softener. Why lock the lid so soon, wait till its in spinning mode. Really really badly designed!!!! We bought a Whirlpool dishwasher when we learned that my daughter and two children would be living with us for an extended time. We bought it a couple of months before they came. During that time I used it maybe four or five times as there are only two of us and didnt need to use it. Since they arrived in early June, the dishwasher malfunctioned almost immediately. Talking with their representative was useless and frustrating. The only words she seemed to know were circuit breaker. That is where the conversation started and ended despite my assurances that it had nothing to do with a circuit breaker. We wrangled round and round to no avail. This company used to be an American standard. Now it is a class A maker of junk.

I purchased this Whirlpool washer (model WTW7600XW2) on October 2011. Fabric softener dispenser is full of water at end of cycle. Repairman has replaced parts three times, but the problem is still not corrected. Today, I talked with a Whirlpool supervisor. She says this is normal. She told me to take the cup out and empty it. The cup is not removable, so she said I could blot it out with a cloth or sponge. I paid $800.00 for a washer with an automatic fabric dispenser that I must empty manually. I have used whirlpool appliances for 50 years of marriage, but this is my last one. I am very disappointed with customer service.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer (WTW6500WW1) on 9/11/09 for approximately $800. Now three years later, it needs a new rotor and stator costing $470 in parts and labor. I called Whirlpool and was told I could get no help with the cost of parts because of the age of the machine! A simple Google search of the F51 error code that I am getting will show you that these machines are $800 pieces of junk! I am not repairing this machine. I can only hope to inform enough buyers about this to keep them from the same fate.

I was attracted to it by its simplicity in design and price. I have had it almost a full year and love it. I like that it has the deep water wash for over-sized items and a full-sized agitator. We had purchased Whirlpool Side Kick Refrigerator/Freezer 8 years ago for our new home and had custom cabinetry built to fit around them. Once we moved in we were CONSTANTLY calling for repairs on one or the other. They fix it then the other goes out. They fix it then the other goes out. After 7 years of this we finally said, lets get a new set. We bought the same product because once again the cabinetry is built around these. We were 8 months into having new ones and the refrigerator went out. They came out to repair it. That is a joke in itself because you dont have much to choose from since its under warranty and they dont have anyone in the area to come out. Finally when they come out and fix it now our freezer is out and a repairman is due to come out tomorrow. We WILL NOT buy ANY product of Whirlpool and DO NOT recommend their products!!! VERY unhappy especially since these purchased together are well over $3000+!!!

On 02/25/13 we purchased a Whirlpool Gold Series side by side (French door) refrigerator with an ice maker at the cost of $1,850.00. In April of 2014 the ice maker stopped working and the freezer at the bottom would not freeze food. Luckily for us it was still under warranty and was repaired. At the time of the repair, the repairman (associated with HHGregg) told us that the refrigerator should have been replaced since the cost of the repair was more than the fridge itself. Now July 20th, 2015, the same issue has surfaced. Again the ice maker will not work and the freezer wont freeze. I would not recommend this product or if you do pay the extended warranty.

Purchased a larger hot water heater after reviewing the offerings from the big box stores. Obtained a 40 gallon Lo-Nox type. No problem. Found that I did not have time to install and 3 months later had a company install for almost $300. Within the first month the pilot went out at least 5 times. Had the install company come out and take care of the problem. Worked OK for 2 months and now the pilot light goes out again. Watched the flames myself and find them to be yellow. OK, so try to see what the situation is, call the installer, then call technical support. I am in a basement, on a cell phone and the representative basically has zero patience, zero tolerance for questions, treats me like an idiot and probably has never looked at any of the guides but keeps harping on me.I asked 5 times for patience and guidance not to be treated like an idiot. As time went on it was clear that the representative has zero experience in front of the product or the information in the install guides. She kept calling it a manual and I tried at least 3 times to ensure that her manual is the install guide. She never did affirm. I stated I wanted my money back and she stated no. Whirlpool has a very skillful representative to keep consumers away. However this consumer is a small apt owner that purchases appliances, as well as hot water tanks microwaves etc. No longer will I purchase anything Whirlpool. Oh I will send a complaint about this rep, and she said thats fine send it to the PO box Total lack of product knowledge and not even skillful in a conversation asking for assistance. The installer also stated that this product has horrible reviews. I wish I had seen them before all of this. Total frustration and something unwarranted. I am out $900 and am replacing the tank with a Bradford white from the plumber. Lesson learned. Good bye Whirlpool, hope others stay away from Whirlpool everything. Choosing another brand is the only thing that makes businesses wake up and smell the money.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio just over a year ago. The washing machine does not clean clothes! While under warranty, a service tech came out to look at it. After hearing the problem, he replied that it was a common complaint and that he could not fix the machine because the problem was that it is so poorly made that it simply does not work. His recommendation was to come to terms with the loss of a thousand dollars as Whirlpool would not rectify the problem.Whirlpool really showed their true colors when they refused to cover the repair tech visit. Whirlpool supervisor Kitty explained to me that customer advice was not covered under warranty and that we would have to pay the bill. Highlights of her argument were that we should just rinse the clothes multiple times and they would eventually get clean. She also mentioned that if the machine really did not work as described, we should have complained sooner even though it was still under the one-year warranty. Whirlpool will sell you junk backed with horrible customer service. Beware!

We started noticing pools of water on the floor on the left side of the freezer. We would then open up the drawer and it was covered in ice. The water was not noticed until the morning so it has caused damage to the floor and molding in our house that was built in 2012. I called the repair company that I used to have my Whirlpool oven fixed (broke twice). That is when the manager gave me the lowdown on what has been happening with this fridge. He told me to call Whirlpool and have them pay for the repair and part and to research online, that it is a design flaw with the freezer and the p-trap and draining under the ice maker being not efficient.I called Whirlpool and complained. All of my appliances are Whirlpool and I spoke to a Supervisor. They only would not agree to pay for the repair and only will pay for the part (which is only $27.00). This fridge is 15 months old and I am irate at the lack of customer loyalty from Whirlpool. They responded the exact same way when my oven broke a month out of warranty. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again, and would like buyers to be aware before they buy an almost $2,000 fridge.

I have a Whirlpool 33 inch wide Side by Side refrigerator. WRS311SDHM. This is the worst refrigerator I have ever had. Temperatures are inconsistent. It is less than a year old. Initially, I stored the big container of spring mix lettuce on the bottom shelf of the refrig as it wouldnt fit in the crisper draw. The temp setting in the refrigerator was set to ideal. Oddly though, in the freezer, ice cubes were melting and refreezing creating a massive frozen block. So, I raised the temperature in the refrigerator, but kept the freezer at coldest. However, I noticed that when I set the refrigerator to a warmer setting, ice cream became cold soup despite the coldest setting.I called Whirlpool and a service technician from Georges Appliance in New Providence, NJ came to my home (of course I had to take half a day off from work). He stuck a thermometer in the freezer and said, its working fine. While at my home he called Whirlpool who said that if lettuce isnt kept in the crisper drawer it will freeze (silly woman, dont you know that?) and ice cream will get soft in the freezer if the temp in the refridge is warmer than ideal. So, it seems I can have lettuce or ice cream, but not both. Okay, so I put the temp back to ideal, bought smaller packs of lettuce that would fit in the crisper draw and called it a day. Nope....lettuce and anything else in the crisper draw freezes too. Wilted, soggy lettuce is so nice in a salad and frozen baby carrots can break your teeth.I have been on the phone with Whirlpool executive dept several times. They offered to have another service company come out to look at the refrigerator. This repair company would not give me a 4 hr time frame until the day before the actual service call. This might be okay if you work from home or are retired, but this is not my case. I opted to not have them come. This is my last Whirlpool product. Since KitchenAid and Jenn Air are owned by Maytag/whirlpool, my other options are LG, Samsung, GE or Sub Zero.

On May 15, 2017, I purchased a new Whirlpool Water Heater, unknowingly made by American Water Heater Co., from Lowes (receipt attached). Model Number ES40R10-55 with a 10 year warranty. The water heater was installed using the directions in the owners manual. Upon turning on the current to the water heater after it was filled with water and all air removed from the plumbing, the module gave a code stating the top element was not working. Called the Technician Assistance Hotline and they gave me a RA number to get a new top element from Lowes. Got that on May 16 and had to call the plumber that is contracted by American Water Heater Co. to come to the house and inspect the heater to make sure it was installed correctly. The water heater worked once the new element was installed. On Oct. 3, 2017, had more issues with the module stating the top element was not working. Called the Tech. Assistance Hotline and they gave me another RA number to get another top element. On Oct. 4, got the top element and installed it. The water heater started working again. On Oct. 6, the module stated the bottom element was not working. Called the Tech. Assistant Hotline and had the plumber come out. He determined that he could not find out why it was doing this and also said that both elements were good along with the element that I removed on Oct. 4, which I still had. Since then, the module has been giving codes stating that both elements are bad and I have not had any hot water since Oct. 7. American Water Heater Co., Whirlpool, and Lowes all refuse to give me a refund for this piece of junk! All blame the other for the problems and none will take any responsibility for the water heater not working. I will never buy another appliance with the Whirlpool name and definitely will not buy anything made by American Water Heater Co. I also will never buy another appliance from Lowes as they are not willing to help me in this matter. If you do not want to experience the headache and frustration of owning a new appliance that does not work, I would suggest that you do the same!!!

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine on 3-18-16. In February of 2017 the washer died. I was bleaching my whites at the time so most of the clothes, whites fell apart because they sat in bleach and water for 2 days. I had to figure out how to get them out without getting bleach and water all over my clothes. I called whirlpool and they got someone to come fix it. The tech came and said we needed a new control panel. We waited 3 weeks for the panel. He came on 3-24-17. He put the part in. Took less than 10 min and said, All set. I went downstairs and put a few things in. I was a bit leery and the machine started. I went back upstairs and I hear beeping. I go back down and the machine is flashing again. I called the repair people they said, Unplug it for 10 min. It may reset itself. If it doesnt, call back. It didnt. I called back and wanted me to wait till the following week. I told her I had clothes in there.Someone came the next morning and said it needed a harness and they would order it. Well its the 28th and I havent heard anything. I have called whirlpool several times with no satisfaction. We had the machine less than a year and its been dead for 2 months. I am disabled. I have multiple sclerosis so every day is a new issue. I hate to put that in here but I want you to know what Im dealing with along with a dead washer. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

We bought the Whirlpool top loader washer and the drum broke down and after several attempted fixes it was replaced by new one as we were being financed through a business. So here comes the new one - same exact washer. Not only did it not clean well (normal soiling) then it goes to ul which means not balanced... not because clothes arent but because the thing that balances - it went only after a yr!! It would also keep filling draining again to no drain leaving clothes SOPPING wet... So very disappointed to say the least. What a piece of junk this washer is!! Its going to the curb tonight and being replaced by GE - NO MORE WHIRLPOOL AGAIN !!

In January 2016 we ordered a Whirlpool Dishwasher through Home Depot. First, Whirlpool delivered the wrong dishwasher and the installer took my old one away - leaving minimal options to correct the problem quickly. Home Depot did not make the order Model # error but they did compensate for the error. Now, with 18 months of very low use (2 in household - prewashing all the dishes) the pump on the dishwasher is gone. Before posting this review I contacted Whirlpool via email. Two weeks later I had a phone message and I returned the call only to wait for 30 minutes to get through to a customer service agent who could offer absolutely no solutions or compensation for their poor quality product or service. There needs to be a zero on the scale of STARS to reflect Whirlpools overall quality.

Not even 3 years ago I purchased the very large capacity (5.0 I believe) Cabrio Whirlpool Washer and Dryer top loader set for my family. I have regretted the purchase since the first week. The washer would CONSTANTLY beep during a wash cycle, stopping the process saying it was unlevel. We made every attempt to make sure the load was even all around the basin and that the machine itself was level itself. No matter what we did, it would need to be restarted numerous times during one wash cycle taking sometimes hours to do one load. VERY FRUSTRATING. Now the washer will turn on, but it will not fill with water or start the cycle at all.The dryer has cost us hundreds of dollars in repairs, bringing the repair man to our house on a weekly basis for a while. Every time needing a new part. I have made a complaint on the Whirlpool USA Facebook page letting them know my absolute frustration as a substantial amount of other people have, and every one of the other complaints receives a comment back but mine. Although their complaint got a generic response such as, Im so sorry for your frustration, please email to the address below and we can look into your issue.I called customer service a few times to see if they could help in anyway...even asked if they could supply the parts if I paid for labor, and the answer was a flat NO. Nothing...I paid just about $2500 for this set and about $400 in repairs, and no help and no apology for selling me appliances that have not lasted even a small percentage of my last set that lasted throughout my teenage years into my 30’s. I am severely disappointed and ready to take action more now for the disrespect I feel as a consumer. I do not recommend Whirlpool Appliances AT ALL any longer...as they used to be a household item in every family member’s home. Now my large number of family and friends all know my frustration and will not purchase Whirlpool. I suggest this company do something to redeem themselves, because this is just ridiculous. No one has money to throw away like this. Thank you.

I purchased a Whirlpool Water Heater Model # ND50T122-403 on March 4, 2011
I purchased a Whirlpool Water Heater Model # ND50T122-403 on March 4, 2011 from Lowes. I had it installed by Lowes and it included a 12 YEAR Manufacturers (WHIRLPOOL) WARRANTY, plus I purchased an additional 11 YEAR EPP (Extended Protection Plan) WARRANTY. About 3 weeks ago I had no hot water so I went down to my basement to check the water heater and it displayed 7 single blinks followed by a 3 second pause, which is a flammable vapor sensor lock-out code. I made sure there was no flammable vapor in the area, turned off the gas and pulled out the plug then called Lowes since I have an active warranty with them. They said I had to wait 3 business days for them to call back to set-up an appointment to have it repaired. I waited 3 business days including the weekend and no one called me back by the end of the 3 business days, so I called Lowes back and they set-up an appointment for a video store owner with a plumbing license to come over and try to fix it. Finally I thought I would have hot water after over 2 weeks without it, but the plumber started taking it apart and about an hour later said he needed to order a part and he would be back another day when he gets the part. He came back 2 days later to install the part and fix it, but he could not fix it. He called Whirlpool to report the issue and Whirlpool told him they would not honor the warranty because my basement was not safe. He then told me he would call Lowes to let them know about Whirlpools position and call me back. So when he called me back he said Lowes said the current warranty was under Whirlpool and their warranty was only effective after the initial 12 year manufacturers warranty was up, so they would not help any further. So after only 4 1/2 years with a 12 year manufacturers warranty and an additional 11 year extended protection warranty that I purchased from Lowes, Whirlpool will not honor the warranty that came with this water heater. I am going to take this to small claims court. Whirlpool and Lowes have terrible customer service policies. I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product and I will NEVER again shop at Lowes. Please do NOT EVER buy a Whirlpool water heater! TAKE YOUR CLAIM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT FOR SATISFACTION! Maybe an attorney will put in another class action suit against Whirlpool and/or Lowes.

Aqualift self clean oven??? I followed the directions on how to clean my oven. I wiped and scraped out spilled residue from the oven. Then started the cleaning process. The sides of the oven were not cleaned even when I wiped them with a damp cloth. Scrubbing and scraping with the tools that came with the oven helped somewhat. The bottom of the oven was not cleaned. I had to continually scrub and scrape to get it looking half clean and even then, there were still spots that would not clean away. I would have preferred an oven that uses oven cleaner, it gets the oven much cleaner and with less scrubbing on my part. All in all I am very dissatisfied with the oven and would never recommend it.

We have had a Whirlpool dishwasher for about 2.5 years and have been happy
We have had a Whirlpool dishwasher for about 2.5 years and have been happy with how it cleans dishes. About a year ago we replaced our counter top and in the process had to adjust the bend in the mountain brackets that attach the dishwasher to the underside of the counter. This requires flexing the thin piece of aluminum at the perforated line. In the process, one of the brackets snapped. The other was barely still intact and broke several months later. I tried jerry-rigging them, but eventually decided to replace them and called Whirlpool customer service to ask for replacement parts.Unfortunately, Whirlpool wanted to charge me $10.50 apiece and another $9.00 for shipping and handling. These parts could not cost more than a few cents apiece. I was shocked that they would charge me $30.00 to replace these flawed parts. Never have I had such and experience with any customer service department. The three people I spoke with were all rude and unapologetic about my situation. Two blamed it on the install...Ive installed plenty of dishwashers and never had any problems in the past. Even if it was a failure on my behalf, the simple replacement of the parts for a reasonable charge would have been fine by me. I told them Id be happy to pay a few dollars and to pay the full shipping fee (which was also high, in my opinion), but they refused to meet me halfway. I can only think that this is part of their business plan...make dishwashers with sub-par parts, and then over charge for the replacement parts when they fail. Well, I re-upped my jerry-rigging efforts and have improved the engineering of the faulty part. Save my $30. But Whirlpool will never again get my business and Ill be sure to steer clients and friends away from this brand as well.

Bought in October 2014. Died December 2015. The previous Whirlpool microwave this unit replaced was 10 years old and carried a 5 year warranty on the magnetron. Imagine my dismay to find out this unit carried only a 1 year warranty on the magnetron. So 2 months past warranty expiration Im left with a dead unit. I performed elementary troubleshooting. The unit has a fuse on the 120 Volt input. But the unit must be disassembled to gain access to the fuse. So what SHOULD be a five minute job turned into an hour and a half. The fuse wasnt the problem - replacement fuses blew like popcorn. Fuse placement within the unit without regard for service considerations is a poor design. To their credit, Whirlpool agreed to cover the cost of repairs if I would pay for labor. I agreed. A tech came out and looked at the unit. He said that he would have to order a bunch of parts and that he would be back in contact by the end of the week. Three weeks went by. There was no call from the tech; my messages on his voicemail generated no response. So a couple of days later I purchased a replacement from a competing manufacturer.

November 4, 2017 we purchased a 2018 Tiffin RV with a Whirlpool 3-door refrigerator/freezer. We did not use the RV refrigerator until our first trip to Florida January 2018. Immediate problems with the freezer icing up on freezer door and icing up in the top 2 shelves of refrigerator. Milk, fruit, even cheese froze in the top of the refrigerator. Bottom freezer door froze so bad I had to yank on the drawer very hard to even get it open & chunks of ice would fall off the door on the floor outside once it opened. Called Whirlpool warranty service phone number two times 2/16/2018. I wont go into all the details but we were on hold for a 90 minutes and were transferred 7 times by the automated system. Talked to one person, Lindsey, who immediately transferred me again to RV Dept. No one ever answered. System kept saying, Please wait. Then just disconnected and another recording came on saying to call back. We did not after this fiasco! February 19, 2018 we called Tiffin MH & told them about the NO CUSTOMER SERVICE from Whirlpool. They told us to call Sears in Sebring, FL. We did. If we wanted Whirlpool service to bring the motorhome to them & the warranty only covered parts NOT labor or service calls. They did not want to work on it. March 13, 2018 We went to Tiffin MH Service in Red Bay, AL. Earl called Whirlpool tech, Steve, & tried to explain the problem. Steve told him he did not talk on speaker phone & told him very hatefully to put him on the private line. Steve just very angrily insisting that Earl had him on speaker phone. I do not understand Whirlpools Steve issue with being on speaker phone? Finally Earl got him to listen to our refrigerator problems as he stood there at the refrigerator going through each issue step-by-step. Steve said to put silicon in the seal & that Whirlpool WOULD NOT replace a 3 month old refrigerator that actually had only been used 2 months. We found out later Tiffin is going to replace the refrigerator.

Whirlpool 27 cu.ft french door bottom mount WrF989SDAH White - We took delivery of this ice making fridge mid-September from Sears Canada. 3 weeks later we have ice at the ceiling/wall seam at the back inside the fridge. Water collects along the rubber seal of the freezer drawer which we have to mop up. We said we were not going to use the water/ice maker and its not even hooked up. Water comes down through the water dispenser onto the panel which we also mop up. Moisture in fridge. Temp settings are as factory specified. Whirlpool authorized tech guy gave us the inside info. Hes seen so many design problems with this model and what Whirlpool do is order the tech guys to say to customers we can order the parts and fix it. Whirlpool keep discovering and modifying the problems but you are not allowed a refund off the bat because the tech guys authorized & sent out by Whirlpool are not allowed to give a report to the retailer or say its design defective. So the customer has shelled out money and has to have band-aids left, right and center. Went to Sears to ask for a refund. They refused because tech guy wont give a report to them (but what do we really know eh? Because the tech guy stood in my kitchen and gave a verbal report to Sears but nothing written). So Im in the hole for a crap product that is only a few weeks old and Whirlpool and Sears have got us over a barrel. The tech guy said he was going to challenge their tech line now because hes upset at how many of these band-aid fridges hes seeing now. I want a different brand and model and cant have it because Sears dont have it. In dire straits now.

NEVER, NEVER buy one unless you love cleaning your oven. The temperature goes to 160 for 40 minutes, it does nothing to clean your oven. I called the co. we bought it from. The fellow said, Oh you should clean your oven weekly, really there are 2 of us and I use the oven maybe 2-3 times a week without spillovers. When I do have spillovers I use the AquaLift waste of time, then have to spray it down with Affresh Spray the co. Whirlpool Cabrio top loader washer - I am writing to really complain about a washer I bought there at Metro. The people were great BUT this washer has been a REAL DISAPPOINTMENT!!! It is only 4 years old and I have had to have them come and replace the top of the machine. It has rusted around where you put the bleach, the soap. It leaks underneath the machine, its rusting on the bottom of the machine horribly. SO DISAPPOINTED!!! We bought all WHIRLPOOL products - washer and dryer, stove, microwave, dishwasher. What is it with these things? They rust so easy. I had a washer before this one for 14 years and it never did this. I guess things are not made with the same quality as years ago, but I will not ever spend my hard earned money on WHIRLPOOL AGAIN!!! I guess I will have to put up with this machine till I can afford to buy something else. VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER!!!

I wish I had gone on this website and read the reviews before I bought my washer about two years ago. I thought the Whirlpool Cabrio was going to be a good machine because of the brand name and because it is one of the more expensive washers. Like many others have said, I am disappointed with this washer. I bought it because it has a large capacity, but mostly because it has a hand wash cycle and a deep water soak. I have found that the only cycle that actually may get clothes clean is the Bulky Items cycle, because it actually covers the clothes in water. Some of the other cycles dont even get the clothes entirely wet. And the deep water soak doesnt wash the clothes, rinse them, or spin them dry. I might as well pre-soak clothing in my laundry tub, and then put them in the machine to wash them. Prior to this machine, I had a Maytag Neptune front loader, which did alright, but it had a few problems. I am ready to go back to the inexpensive agitator machine my mother used to have, if anyone still makes them. They at least got the clothes clean, and you could soak clothing if you wanted to. Im sorry that I bought this expensive washer. I wish I had bought a relatively inexpensive, simple machine. One good thing about this machine though is that I was able to wash a sleeping bag on the Bulky Items cycle. So, I didnt have to take the sleeping bag to the laundromat. Whirlpool needs to improve this machine or go back to the drawing board and create a new one.

Whirlpools front load washers do not have easy access to the drain pump filter. The entire front of the machine including the door has to be taken off to access the filter. When putting washer back together the parts are cheap and screws break. Most companies that sell front load washers provide easy access to the drain pump filter. I purchased a Whirlpool (Cabrio) Washer on March 1 2018. I previously had a Roper top loader with an agitator that was 22 years old. I used that washer for that many years and washed clothes 6 out of the 7 days of the week. Probably at least 20 loads a week. I never had a problem with it getting my clothes wet & clean. It never left them dirtier after washing them than they were before washing them. I am so disappointed in this washer!!! I can see it will not do any good to complain to Whirlpool because apparently they dont care about their customers. They think theyre products are perfect when they are far from it. I plainly told the associate I wash clothes every day. Really dirt clothes. (My son is a mechanic). I need a good washer. I can wash them by hand better than this washer does. I am very thankful I have not paid the full price for this washer yet. I will be calling them to come pick it up when my next payment is due. I will be going to one of the local consignment or thrift stores and purchasing myself an old timey top loader washer with an agitator for $100 or less. Whirlpool I had high hopes with this product and would have been buying a dryer to match soon but I believe I will stick to my Roper products or anything other than Whirlpool.

I purchased this range/electric (ygfe461lvq0) two years ago. It worked fine, but once about a year ago, the oven overheated and the breaker had to be turned off to stop it. No error codes were displayed. Year two, the oven broiler element stays on regardless if using bake or broil. Oven will go into runaway mode and breaker or cancel button has to be pushed to stop it from over heating. This range is a fire hazard and should be recalled regardless of what age it is. I called Whirlpool at Sears which recommended a tech who arrived to tell me that the control board is shot and for a price of around $400.00, it could be replaced. What is up with that? I had to pay for the expensive tech, also for 15 minutes of work. Sears says that I should have taken the extended warranty plan for around $160. Do I have to pay for an extended plan to have my house burned down due to a defect in manufacturing from Whirlpool? This is disgusting that a company can get away with crap like this. How do you people sleep at night?

I purchased an expensive dishwasher made by Whirlpool and sold at Lowe’s. Immediately upon receiving the dishwasher I noticed a good size scratch. I had it serviced within one month of purchase because dishes were coming out dripping wet. Technician came out and told me I needed to add rinse aid. I had been using rinse aid, which I think is ridiculous to have to buy an additional bottle of something that’s not even cheap just so this thing dries dishes but moving on...Now it’s been 1.7 years and I’m having more problems. Top rack of dishwasher is broken and falls to the side every time you pull it out. The door to dishwasher also no longer has any spring. I take very good care of my things and this just unbelievable. I called Lowe’s they won’t help because it’s been more than a year! I guess Lowe’s can’t stand behind their merchandise for more than a year because they know they’re selling garbage. I called Whirlpool directly and was told they would come out and service my appliance for a minimum charge if $189! I have no words. I need to buy a stove in the next week and I assure you I will steer clear of Whirlpool. Like the title of my review I feel absolutely robbed.

We bought Whirlpool Frontloader Washing Machine not over 1 month ago and it started to malfunction showing Ed1 error on its display. We contacted the service center and it was taking too long to have a visit from a technician. Then the technician, who also installed the unit came and checked the unit. He called someone from corporate office or from support team to ask what is error code Ed1 and overheard over the phone that this is a known issue on the brand. The technician said it is possible that unit will be replaced or only the motor. I contacted the brand support thru Messenger and requested to have the unit replaced, because again, the unit is not over 1mo old.I was advised it is not possible as replacement of unit is only applicable when the issue happened within seven days of delivery. STUPID ISNT? Policy is something unworthy for a product that is over 30k. And again, unit started to malfunction not over a month after it was first used. I would say we pretty much took care of the unit, we only use it twice a week. Placed it where it was perfect to put. Followed every advice given to us by the technician who installed it but still, it malfunctioned a few weeks after we started to use it. I am ashamed of the brand itself, we should have chosen Panasonic or Samsung instead not a dumb brand like Whirlpool. I certainly do not recommend the brand for a washing machine unit. Frontloader is a crap.

I bought a Whirlpool washing machine, model WTW4855HW, and was I ever shocked at how noisy it was. The wash cycle had a grinding noise that was just too much. After 2 loads I sent it back and didnt regret having to pay the restocking fee. I just couldnt believe that with all the technology we have today, that they couldnt build a quiet machine. Im an engineer so I know there are methods through gearing, belts, soundproofing, etc, to produce a quiet machine. Remember the dishwasher of days gone by. You couldnt watch TV with the dishwasher going. Nowadays, you can stand in the kitchen and have a nice conversation with it running. The technology exists. As a matter of a fact, my old Maytag that finally went bad after 10 years was fairly quiet. So, if you dont have your washing machine in the garage or basement room where you can close the door, dont buy this machine! Bruce in Portland

I purchased a Whirlpool accubake oven in 2010. The repairman has been out to repair it 5 times. Thats right 5 times. It wont maintain the baking temperature. They have changed the mother board, the ignition switch, the harness, and the thermostat. Every time the repairman leaves it works and then I go to bake something and it doesnt. Once it reaches 350 degrees the oven cuts off. You can hear it trying to ignite but its like the fire doesnt catch. I have to shut it off, press bake and heat it up all over again. This is so annoying. Bad thing is I like the look of the oven but clearly this is a shotty product. I will never buy a Whirlpool again.

Weve had our Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer just over a year. I like them both but then we are having problems with our lid. The first one cracked after 9 months and they replaced the lid. Two months later, the new one cracked and they replaced the hinges and lid again. I assure you we are very careful when lowering and lifting the lid. I do 80% and my husband does 20%, and we are very cautious of it especially after the second one broke. Now, I was just putting laundry in and the third one cracked while lifting the lid. There is obviously a problem, and Im wondering if anyone else is having the same issues. Eventually, it will crack all the way through which will cause the glass to pop up and the lid wont lock. I will not buy anything with a glass lid again!

Beware to those who are in the market for a new washing machine. I am reviewing the product not the retailer. The lack of the agitator on the machine has left the consumer very agitated! I have called Whirlpool in the first year at least three times for them to come look at it and see the pictures of the clothes. It rips but the response basically is, “It cant be helped maam.” Here is what it does: When you do a load of shirts the sleeves tangle so much your clothes rip You can do approximately 3- towels or it won’t spin correctly. A load takes forever! Now I have been doing laundry for over 40 years so I know how to do a load and I have never been so disappointed in a product I could not return, why you ask because they say there is nothing wrong with the machine. Dont do it! So Whirlpool get a 0 star rating from me but I have to give it one for this review to move forward.

Bought Whirlpool Gold 21.9 bottom freezer (stainless) Jan. 2013. When it was 19 mo. old I noticed the freezer door was pitting. I have the Lowes protection plan. Not their problem, door is a accessory not a part. Whirlpool said no quality issues with the material. Very disappointed Whirlpool did not stand behind a product they sell. From past posts I am glad we did not hook up the ice maker.

The wife and I are retired and when it came time to purchase a new washer, we thought we would spend the money and buy top of the line so it would possibly outlast us. So we went to Lowes and spent $1000.00 plus on a Cabrio. Within the first year, the control board went bad, replaced under warranty, now no matter how little or much of a load the wife puts in this piece of crap, it goes off balance!!!Of course as previously stated, customer service doesnt give a crap because we also saw no need for an extended warranty having made such a large investment in a washing machine that we thought was built with a high standard of quality, SHAME ON US, SHAME ON YOU, WHIRLPOOL!!! You have lost a customer who has been buying your products for a long time but will never buy another and will be warning everyone we can to do the same.

I purchased a Whirlpool hot water heater several years back with every bit of the Bells & Whistles that Lowes could bestow on it paid for and documented on the tank; Limited Lifetime Warranty and Lowes Professional Installation. It failed after several years with multiple problems. First, the bottom heating unit failed at the same time, noticing a leak from the top heating units external cover where a supporting screw had popped out, leaking down to the floor. Not only was the Whirlpool 800 number a scham of silence, with no estimated wait time and after approximately 20 minutes, a rep picks up as I could hear their legal department on an alternated line instructing and listening in, then dropping off when those crooks felt I had been placated enough to go onto to the next sucker. I have all Whirlpool Gold & KitchenAid Superba appliances in my kitchen and never thought I would be saying this but I will never purchase another Whirlpool Appliance or shop at Lowes again!

Its big enough, but the ice maker is always messing up, the shelves broke easily, the water takes forever to get cold from the indoor dispenser. The finish, which is called Satina or something like that, dents real easy. It is really a piece of **! When it was new, we had the repair man out 4 times before it was fixed. He even said it was a piece of junk and it should be lemon lawed out. Drawers broke, shelves broke, and parts are really expensive when you break one of the plastic parts.

Whirlpool Duet 3.9 cu ft High-Efficiency WFW9451XW00 - Hear my first experience with Whirlpool. I purchased a washer machine 30 April 2014. Guess what - machine stop working suddenly on July 30th, just about three months later. I had a lot of guest from overseas. While they visit me, I did not have my washer machine. How embarrassing. It was big mistake to buy Whirlpool. It is all made plastic inside and they uses cheap Chinese material. Anyway, technician came house to check what the problem was... all control system was burned. He ordered almost 10 parts from Whirlpool on 04 August. Whirlpool scheduled delivery for 20 of August. I called them for them to send the parts faster so my guests could wash their clothes. They send them little faster for August 16. After a day, technician was in the house again. I waited about 3 hours for him to fix my machine. He was really nice guy. He put install all new parts. Just in front of me, new parts broke after 5 minute. Whirlpool still did not contact me about their decision. Today is August 26th... I called them 5 time already - Nobody give me useful info. NO Whirlpool, guys - bad service.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set bought 5/25/2012 - The washing machine started beeping during the drain cycle and I have to reset it. After messing with it for around 30 minutes I can finally get it to drain. Then last night the dyer started making a loud squeal. I called and it is not under warranty anymore, so I have to flip the bill. My last $75.00 set from a church sale lasted 15 years. I paid $1,331 and this is the worst piece of crap I have ever bought. Lowes will not fix the problem when there is 1000s of complaints. I would have never paid this much, if I knew it wasnt going to last!UPDATED ON 05/15/2015: Whirlpool sent out Appliance Hospital to diagnose the problems. The washing machine needs a new tub, seals, circuit boards, drain motor etc and the dryer needs everything + an idler pulley because the original one disintegrated. The part they want me to buy is the same one that already failed. The cost to fix it, is over the amount I paid. REALLY? Somebody needs to do something to help the consumers. Blogging doesnt seem to help. I am handicapped and I have to go to the laundry mat now because I cant afford another set. DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL.

I purchased 5 Whirlpool appliances when I remodelled my kitchen and am extremely disappointed with the quality and ability of them. The self-cleaning range (this phrase is a joke) has proven to be useless. I followed the cleaning direction according to the manufacturers direction even using the distilled water as indicated. The AquaLift self-clean did not clean the oven at all. It looks like I never turned the self-clean on. I gave up a great working GE self-cleaning oven that actually did clean itself. If I could afford to change this product for another brand I would do it in a heartbeat.

Whirlpool Cabrio - Our washing machine just started leaking water with oil underneath. This would be our third repair since purchasing this machine but it doesnt sound like a repair is possible or worth it. Its too bad we cant go back to the old models. They definitely lasted longer with no problems. Companies should make the older models bigger and forget about the front loaders and newer models without the agitators. Too much shaking in the machine causes too many repairs!

If everyone would submit their complains to Whirlpool, they might do something about this. Submit your complaint to ALL of the followings emails: investor_relations@whirlpool.com media@whirlpool.com whirlpool_customerexperience@whirlpool.com B2Bdevelopment@whirlpool.com. Here is what I wrote to Whirlpool: Model: WTW7800XWO, Serial number: C02670320. I purchased the 4.6 Cu. Ft. Cabrio Platinum Top Load Washer in June 2010. The washer lid has broken 3 times now. Its snapping by the hinges. I have been charged about $300 per lid. I believe the hinges are not durable enough to support the weight of the glass lid. I have read hundreds of reviews regarding the same model and issues, I also have a friend who has the same model and is experiencing the same issues and has had to replace the lid twice now. Im disappointed that Whirlpool has not taken accountability for this and either issue a recall or replace the lid at no charge to the customer. If there has been so many complaints, why hasnt Whirlpool taken action on this? I am requesting that the Whirlpool Headquarters address this issue immediately. When I called customer service to complain about this issue, the rep informed me that they have never heard about this issue before. From all the reviews I have read online, it seems that customer service is telling them the same thing. By not addressing this defect, Whirlpool will lose thousands of customers. This is not the way to retain or have returning customers. This is the first time I have purchased a Whirlpool appliance. I will not be a returning customer if this matter is not resolved.

Whirlpool dishwasher failed after 16 months. It leaks continuously. they sent a service provider 5 days later out to fix it, then said there would be a $129 fee for coming (this was never mentioned at time of appointment), and the total repair cost would be $208. I wasted a day waiting for repair person to come, I declined the repair due to the cost. I called customer service later, during office hours, and I received the poorest level of customer service I have ever experienced. Whirlpool will no longer receive support from the our family. This machine cost over $500, and a ruined rug. Whirlpool wasted our time, and a day from work. We will never purchase Whirlpool appliances moving forward, due to this product and customer service experience.

I have been married for 43 years and started my marriage with a Kenmore Washer and Dryer. That was because my mother, aunt, and grandmother all had Kenmore Washers and Dryers. Kenmore was made by Whirlpool. In 43 years I have gone through two sets of Kenmore Washers and Dryers, and one set of Whirlpool Washer and Dryer. I have always been very pleased with your product and have never considered buying anything else. However, last year we bought a new Whirlpool washer and dryer. I have no complaints about the dryer, but this washer is a piece of **! It is a cabrio top-loading high efficiency low-water washer. What idiot came up with this idea? Tonight I am once again having to divide my washer load and run them for at least a second time. This is not cost effective!!! This sprinkling with water and sucking it out doesnt work. Not to mention that since we have gotten these wonderful energy saving appliances our electric bill has increased instead of decreasing. You need to make a washing machine with a wash tub and agitator like you use too.

I would like to share whirlpools lack of ownership for parts they knew were faulty that caused significant damage to my floor. Its absolutely horrendous that one would purchase the highest end dishwasher they offer (all highest end appliances in 3 homes so far) and the company is only willing to cover the replacement of the part. Its a horrible way to run a company. I hope that my review will warn prospective customers to stay away from a company who is only willing to take your cash at purchase (charging an arm and a leg no less) and not care about any repercussions after the fact. I hope they enjoy our 15k, because it will be the last penny they get from us.

Let me just start by saying I have multiple Whirlpool appliances, and I have always bought Whirlpool appliances in the past. I bought a refrigerator 3 months ago, and it quit working. So, I called Whirlpool to come service it. The service repairman said someone left the freezer door open and it froze up. Two days later, I had to call them back again, because now, the fridge part was not keeping food cold. He came back out and told me it was the compressor. I then in return called Whirlpool that afternoon, and they refused to replace it saying they had to follow their Warranty Policy and they would call me back on Wednesday. They did call back on Wednesday and told me they had located the part. I got a call on Tuesday of the following week and was informed they could not locate the part. I called Whirlpool the next day, and they told me they would have to send it to their Exchange department for review and I would hear back from them in 3 business days. I asked for them to rush my request, but they told they have no way of doing that. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again!

Purchased my first Whirlpool refrigerator, model WRF989SDAM00, in 2012. Six service calls later, Whirlpool replaced it with the same exact model. I had the first microwave for 6 years. My husband messed it up so got a new one, same over the stove type. It has lots of programs. Its a rather large microwave, plus it has a steamer which cooks vegetables with steam while I am doing the rest of the meal and whats more important is its quiet. The site is fantastic not just in width but in depth. The best thing about this microwave too is that it has a frozen cycle which does not partially cook the food like most microwaves and the defrost is the same, it does not partially cook it actually defrosts completely without cooking it. This is by far the best microwave I have ever had, and I wouldnt want any other brand. It might cost a little more than the usual brands but its worth it. I also have a mini Whirlpool on my Countertop for my grandchild to use so he keeps away from stovetop at all times.

After struggling with this washer for the past year, I was told today that to repair it, it would cost around $800 or I would need to buy another washer. The washers bearings and tub need to be replaced and it will not spin properly or at all. Previously, I have owned washers for over 10 years each. This was definitely not a good purchase.
