When I moved into my current home, this dishwasher(Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1) was already installed. It had never been used until I moved in. After two years of 2-3 times a week use, I have major problems. It will not complete a wash cycle, regardless of what settings I use. It runs long enough for the soap dispenser to release the Finish tablets which dissolve, but then the dishwasher stops running. The dishes are not clean, and neither is the interior of the dishwasher. It also appears to be leaking when it runs. I cannot afford to replace it, so either I will repair it myself or use it to store pots and pans. This is not my first disappointment with a Whirlpool product. A Kenmore refrigerator made by Whirlpool lasted 7 years before the compressor failed. Apparently, the self-cleaning coils werent and caused the compressor to fail. The refrigerator I have where I now live is a Whirlpool over 20 years old and runs perfectly. Apparently Whirlpool quality has deteriorated badly in the last two decades. I will never buy another Whirlpool kitchen appliance because of the dishwasher and new refrigerator experiences. When I searched the Internet for fixes for both appliances, I found many other owners having the same problems I have had.

Over-the-range microwave hood combo - It is not that it does not work, it just wont shut off! Close the door, it turns on. Touch the side, it turns on. I have walked in the kitchen and found it on! I am afraid it will turn on when I am not home and burn down my house! After reading the poor customer service received by others, I will just replace it.

I have a 3 1/2 year old 9400WFW WP washer with a 70 error code. After viewing complaints on various websites, it appears this is a large scale problem with Whirlpool Duet owners. I just got off the phone with WP customer service and explained how many complaints are out there for F70 code error, yet they do not have a recall on this part! How can this be justified? This is a non-mechanical part of the washing machine. The life expectancy should be more than 3 years. My washer is not overused as there are only 2 people in the household. I do not want to pay the cost to repair this. I think WP should issue a part recall on this model. Does anyone know how to find out how many replacement CCU or CPUs have been purchased in relation to the number of 9400 WFW sold or if there may be a chance that WP needs to reconsider a recall?

We have had every issue with our Cabrio model 6600 SB2 that Kimber of Salem, VA has had. Thankfully, we purchased an extended warranty at time of purchase(1-31-07) from Lowes or repair costs would have totaled more that the price of the washer, which was $900.00.It is now making a loud noise during spin cycle that sounds like a bearing going out. It is 1 month from being out of the 4 year extended warranty and today, 12-26-11, the repairman has told me that the washer needs to be rebuilt. The washer itself, does not clean that well and the clothes are so wrinkled when they come out, that the dryer cannot get the wrinkles out, so everything needs to be ironed. What a pain!We bought this washer because Consumer Reports magazine listed it as a best buy. This is not the first recommendation Ive chosen because of their magazine that I was disappointed with. I have lost faith in them. I would not recommend this washer to anyone. The matching dryer, however, has been trouble free.

Plastic where screws attach handle is stupid. I’m extremely disappointed in product.

We acquired the Cabrio Six Sense washing machine through the purchase of our new home, and quickly realized why it was left behind. This thing is pretty and has lots of bells and whistles, but that is where it ends. I am very surprised to find out that Whirlpool put such a piece of junk out for purchase. I have owned Whirlpool products in the past and had great performance and quality. We will be pulling this hunk of junk from our laundry room and installing the GE washer that we already owned immediately. Anyone want a free washer?

I had a Whirlpool dishwasher for year and it worked great, but the baskets were rusting. I decided Feb 2014 to purchase another Whirlpool dishwasher. It did not clear as well as my old dishwasher. The seller of the dishwasher stated it was our water or detergent. The water and detergent were the same. The only difference was the dishwasher. Day prior to changing the dishwasher, the dishes were clear and the day I changed the dishwasher, the dishes were not clean. November 2016, the main board has gone out. The part costs $148, plus the service call. I called Whirlpool. They stated they would sell me the part or would discount a new dishwasher. I think they should discount the part!!! Whirlpool makes most brands of dishwashers, so you cant change companies. Their quality is all you can get.

I bought my Whirlpool range in 2009. Good thing I bought an extra warranty because since then, my oven has stopped working about 5 or 6 times. When I turn the oven on, it does the clicking sound, it starts up then it turns off and sometimes it doesnt even turn on. In 2010, I had my turkey ready for the oven at Thanksgiving. I turned on the oven and nothing. I had to cut the turkey and deep fry it. In 2011, same time on Thanksgiving and now Ive been waiting for 2 weeks for the part. I have 4 kids. I need an oven. I cant take this anymore. Also, out of the blue, sometimes the stove top starts clicking on its own and it scares the hell out of us. I have to unplug the stove. Help.

Whirlpool Cabrio 6600 SW2 - Somehow a coin or two (?) are under the tub. It is not a high pitched sound. Just sounds like the machine is rubbing against the tub or something when it is being used. It does an excellent job of washing and spin drying the clothes, but the noise irritates my wife, which then irritates me. I took the top piece off and can see a coin DOWN there, but cannot reach it. Must I turn the machine upside down and try to shake the coin(s) out?

Installed in May 2007, paid $674 for GU2455XTSS1 Whirlpool Dishwasher. It required service in March 2009 for $158 It became noisy in Oct 2011, so I placed a service call for $136. It was very noisy in Jan 2012. Again, I placed service call for an additional $93 that Whirlpool has not reimbursed. I must now replace the motor quoted at $403. The motor has a 90-day warranty. The 4.5 year old dishwasher must now be replaced. Whirlpool has not responded to email and to registered letter requesting a cost-effective solution to repair dishwasher that recognizes that reasonable life of the unit should be 10+ years and not 4.5 years.

We bought a new stove from Lowes in 2015 which is a Whirlpool with an AquaLift self-cleaning function. This function is totally useless. We have tried it several times and it does not remove the grime from the oven. We did not even have a very dirty oven. It doesnt clean the sides at all and the bottom is still dirty. I complained to the store and they told me the AquaLift function should be used every time the oven has been used. They recommend that I use a spray for the oven (which is porcelain) and scrub off the dirt. Give me back my old self-cleaning oven with the high heat. This new technology doesnt work.

The Whirlpool Gold Series we purchased, to replace the older refrigerator, has far exceeded our expectations. The French Door setup was exactly what my wife had talked about. The saleslady at Home Depot, where it was the least expensive by $283, was very well informed. We went through the specs, colors, types of finishes, etc and picked the perfect one for my wife's needs and wants. The model performs well fully loaded or almost empty. She told a few family members and they went out and bought the same model, or next model up, as we did. To wrap it all up, "Buy this. It performs as well as, if not better, than all the rest."

Absolute junk. Bought an entire matching set 2 years ago. Fridge, microwave, dishwasher and oven. Oven is the most user unfriendly thing I have ever bought. That’s my fault. Microwave failed. 300 to replace. Ice maker in side by side fridge failed, another 300 dollar fix. I used to have a field mouse or two get into the house every year. Don’t have that problem anymore because the fridge is so loud it scares them off. Talking to Customer service was the most frustrating thing of all. They think if they say your name in a nice soft tone long enough it will make everything ok. Mother and father raved about Whirlpool products. How times have changed. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these products. Also, look up the other brand names made in the same factory and steer clear of those as well. I used to think appliances were all the same. How wrong I was. Do your research. It will save you a bundle in the long run.

I bought three Whirlpool appliances (fridge, gas dryer and washing machine)
I bought three Whirlpool appliances (fridge, gas dryer and washing machine) from Abt in June 2012, delivered in July 2012. The fridge has not cooled from the moment we plugged it in and because I am out of state from Abt (IL), I have to deal directly with Whirlpool. According to both the Whirlpool customer service rep and her supervisor, if a product is defective from the start, Whirlpools policy is to try and repair it until they determine it to be scrap and only then will they replace/refund. I find this policy appalling since I paid for a good working product, from a company Consumer Reports rates very highly, but was shipped a defective one. Now, I have had two service visits, the second because according to Whirlpool the first technician did not perform the correct service. I have been told not to put anything valuable into my freezer for 5-7 days because most likely I have a coolant leak and the fridge is bad. This is terrible customer service and instead of fixing their error which is the purpose of having customer service, they are quickly building a reputation for a terrible product and terrible service. Good customer service would be replacing the defective fridge as it is clearly their manufacturing issue, taking the item back to their warehouse, repairing it if possible and selling it as reconditioned for a discount. I am noting my suggestion in case any Whirlpool representatives read this website. Another interesting item to note is the gas dryers absorb air from the environment around them so if you do any painting (full room or touch ups), the clothes that come out of the dryer may have a burnt/gas smell for up to 7 days. I am still waiting to hear back from the Whirlpool technician as to my burnt smell problem/resolution, but was told this from a separate service representative so I thought I would pass it on.

I bought this stove 4 years ago from Lowes. I have had nothing but problems ever since. My family is now afraid to use the stove and Whirlpool refuses to stand behind their product. The last straw was a bill for a service call that took 6 months to complete without correcting the problem. Whirlpool sent me a bill for $100 to pay for the privileged. When I complained, WP said if I paid the invoice, they would give me a deal towards a new stove. Meanwhile, the old stove does not work and we are afraid to use it, given our experience with its reliability and safety. I plan to return it to Lowes and buy anything but a Whirlpool product. Bought a Whirlpool washer and dryer in 2/2013. In 5/2014, the washer went out of balance, but corrected itself quickly. Since then, it sounds like a cement mixer during the spin cycle. It took one month to get someone to come out and look at it. Apparently the bearings went and the part alone costs $450! Add another $250-$300 for labor and I could buy another washer. We called Whirlpool, who were unwilling to do anything to rectify the situation, i.e., replace the washer, send a replacement part, give us a discount on the replacement part. We didnt buy the extended warranty because who would think that a brand new washer would crap out after 15 months... and theres only the two of us.Not like Im washing clothes for a family of 5! I only needed a new washer/dryer because I moved out of state and didnt want to move the ones I had. Regretting that decision. They further indicated that the part would not be available until late September or early October of this year.

This started Sept 27 2017 when the ordered online electric range 30 inch slide in oven Whirlpool brand was delivered. When using the oven, a noxious diesel smell filled my home, despite multiple attempts to burn in the unit as advised. 10 days later after still trying to burn it in fumes got worse. I called corp who then sent over a tech to look at it and the tech shared with me when he arrived that he was the wrong person since he cant smell due to an old injury! He admitted he smelled a chemical when it first went on but it went away for him but might have went away due to is impaired smelling ability. I called Corp back and they totally agreed something was wrong with it that could not be repaired and the unit should be picked up and I should be paid back that day it is picked up. They said in a few days which later turned in 2-3 weeks out and counting... I filed a complaint with the BBB due to the ongoing issues. Corp office said they would pick up unit and at that time hand deliver me my refund in full. At first the pick up was weeks out but after BBB was notified they came yesterday 10/18/17 and removed unit, but no check! I called Corp again this time asking why I did not get my money as they promised she said someone dropped the ball, and that someone should have told me that since they had to get someone non-local to get it that they will mail me the check in 14-21 days! She said I see in the notes. They told you they would hand deliver you your refund so they should have called you about the change. So here I sit... No oven in use since Sept 18 and no money back to buy one for weeks yet. I have never been told, despite my requests as to what the chemical was that I was burning off in my home and exposed my family to over 10 days which we had headaches and nausea from (despite windows opened and fans going at full blast). Only that it might have come from the manufacturer or process. This company isnt the only one who has had issues on occasion with a defect in this never-ending chemical smell but the lack of regard of my safety concerns and failure to stand up to what they offered to do (poorly handled response) is simply wrong and bad business. I have not dealt with Whirlpool regarding matters ever and have very little of their products in my home so unsure if this is unique or standard with them. I wont buy their products anymore because I am less than very dissatisfied with my experience. I may have been the only unlucky person having this kind of response from this company but felt the need to share.

Bought set 12/5/14 at Lowes Tucson. First load came out with shirts looking like theyd been scrubbed with sandpaper. Called Whirlpool & was advised to use higher water level for loads. Then noticed small hole in my favorite shirt. Oh well. Next I found an area in my king sized bottom sheet with several holes and torn fibers. Thought maybe it might be from my toenails, except it wasnt where my feet would be. Finally a pair of capris (just worn twice) found with same type of holes and torn fibers. Dryer also inefficient. Balls up clothes - outside dry; inside wet. Re-run one or two inside wet pieces and they dont dry at all! What kind of technology is this?

I spent what I consider to be a lot of money on the Whirlpool Cabrio washer
I spent what I consider to be a lot of money on the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer which I purchased in 2007. Within months, I was getting error messages on the washer, specifically an F51. Thankfully, it was covered by warranty. Whirlpool knew then and there that these things were lemons. The repairman told me he couldnt keep up with fixing that issue. I have since had to replace the motherboard on the washer at a cost of $359, and the idler pulley on the dryer at $221; not to mention the metal catch on the dryer broke. I ordered a plastic one on eBay. I will never buy another Whirlpool product as long as I live! They make junk!

I bought a house with Whirlpool appliances and I bought the extended warranty for all the appliances, I started to have issues with the refrigerator almost 4 months ago and still waiting for results, do not buy whirlpool products, every time you call the warranty department be prepared to spend at least one hour waiting for a customer representative. Buy LG or GE instead. These are excellent brands that I have owned in the past.

We bought a Whirlpool gas range about a year and half ago. The oven started giving lighting problems we had to light with a match every once in a while. Then the broiler igniter started giving same problems so I replaced the igniter, still did not work. Then I tried the control panel, still nothing. The igniters were about 45.00 each. The control panel was 250.00. Then I replaced the spark module and it is now working. Some models the spark module dont control oven and broiler but mine does. That was 200.00. The best thing was the part place I was ordering from would exchange the parts that you try and they also can answer questions either online or by phone, Appliancepartspros.com. My oven model # is wfg371lvs3.

I have had my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine for 14 years. I feel this is very dependable and cleans my clothes efficiently. I love the large stainless steel tub without the agitator. I can fit a king size comforter in the machine. The only problem I had with it was to clean the lint out which I would assume would have to be done to any machine that is used every other day for 14 years. Love it!

I purchased a Cabrio top-loading high efficiency low water washer thinking I was doing something for the environment by saving on water and electricity. After about a month, I noticed that my clothes especially those with stretchable fabric were getting larger. My husband kept telling me I was imagining it. Then the clothes would get all tangled especially the pants with ties on the waistband. At the end of the cycle, the clothes are stuck on the sides of the washer and I have to pull them apart. Even after drying, I have to iron everything even my pillowcases which look like they have shrunk they are so wrinkled. I recently bought some 100% cotton outfits and they are even more wrinkled and are starting to lose their shape. I am now noticing that the stains on the clothing are not coming out even when I use a spot remover and put them through a second time. Now I started to notice an odor coming from the machine and my towels and wash clothes have a sour smell. I paid $600 for this machine and after reading the reviews, I just want to replace it. I am now waiting for it to break down. My husband kept insisting I must be doing something wrong. When it goes into the spin cycle, it bounces all around and I have to push it back in place when it is done. I do not think the clothes are getting rinsed enough so now I put them through a second rinse and always put it on low spin. It doesnt see to matter, it sounds like a rocket ready to take off. Is it even worth it to go back to Lowes where I buy all my appliances?

I purchased a gold series whirlpool dishwasher on July 20th 2014. Today is Dec 31, 2015, for the past month I have been troubleshooting my dishwasher by myself. Because I had a maintenance man here already since I bought the dishwasher and due to Christmas cannot afford another 250 for another visit. Every time I try to wash, at end of any cycle I have tried using, I open the door and find the cascade soap sitting on the bottom of the tub, the dishes still wet and dirty. So I take them all out and hand wash them, I should not have to do this on a washer that is a little over one year old considering the price tag that I paid for it. I am not young anymore and if I wanted to hand wash dishes, I could have used that money for a nice vacation somewhere. The washer stops, start button blinking, I open it up, check it out to make sure everything looks ok, close it and restart again. It sounds like it is working, so I go about my business and come back an hour later to find the same issue. Dishes will not wash soap on the bottom of the tub again. This has been nothing but trouble since I purchased it. I have never had a problem with my old dishwasher until it got too old. On top of it all, I had to buy another clothes washer from the same manufacturer that now took over. This was only 5 years old and the motor burnt out. I had two maintenance men here from the Maytag/whirlpool company and they filled me in. So I had it hauled out of here and I bought an LG for another good price. It seems to me that it is all about money and they make nothing but crap. Now. I need to make another decision. About this POS dishwasher! What to do?

High end Whirlpool dual front loader washing machine model number WFW94HEXW2 died after 5+ years of less than moderate use. Used no more than once a week. Paid for a top end model. Had 2 mechanics look at it. Mechanically it is fine. The CCU is not working correctly and wont allow it to start. We replaced it, but to no avail. It is barely out of warranty at 5+ years old. Called Whirlpool and they said they would do nothing. Asked for a manager and she was rude to add insult to injury. Cant get to the serial number because the door is locked shut as part of the shutdown problem. Cant find original receipt so including a picture of the credit card purchase. I purchased whirlpool Model# WFG540H0ES gas with convection. I purchased it because the price was $1000 dollars less than comparable ovens and even now the price has gone up $300 since I purchased it. I really wanted the luxe look at a discount price, a burner that you could lay a grill over, and five burners which it provided all of those things. I hesitated to buy this oven because the door fell off the last Whirlpool within three years and they refused to fix it so I tried not to buy this brand but it had the amenities I wanted for the price I could afford. I really like the oven. I like the oven the best because it really does make a great cake. I like the two large grates that sit across the oven. It makes it feel high end. If you dont wipe the range immediately grease gets stuck on the range and is hard to clean. This is what I like the least. Im ready to wipe on the weekend and its too late. It took me four days of internet comparison to decide on this one. The house is not painted, the cabinets are falling off the wall literally but I am extremely proud of this oven and it makes me feel affluent even though Im not.

In order for my clothes to smell CLEAN I use bleach in every load I can. With the loads I absolutely cant use bleach in, I have to be standing waiting to put the clothes in the dryer or I have to rewash the entire load because of the smell!! My towels are ruined from the bleach and my clothes are faded because of the multiple wash cycles. I have used the recommended Affresh numerous times and it does not help! We bought a brand new Whirlpool dishwasher around 2 years ago. Within 13 months it stopped drying dishes, silverware etc. I called customer service told the person what’s going on. Of course the warranty was up, a month prior. She said she would send a service technician out to see why it wasn’t drying. They charge 75$ a hour plus a service fee for coming out. I told her no. She said she would drop the service fee since it was only 13 months old. I asked how long he would be here, she had no idea. I didn’t make the appointment because I felt I shouldn’t have to pay anything because it was only 13 months old.She didn’t agree. Since then it has gotten worse, it doesn’t dry anything, maybe the dishes. I have to put the silverware rack on a towel by and dry the silverware or put it away wet. I’ve bought jet dry a few different ones and no luck. I would not recommend anything from Whirlpool, especially a dishwasher. We have new wood cabinets. The cabinets will get soaked if I don’t put paper towels under them. This is the worst dishwasher I ever owned. Don’t waste your money!!

We moved into a new house in May 2013 and there was a new Whirlpool Gas Range installed. We have experienced an intermittent problem where the oven will not ignite since day one. We have reported it to Whirlpool and different technicians have attempted to repair it but it is still faulty. When the standard warranty ran out I purchased the Extended Warranty Protection from Whirlpool but it is WORTHLESS and they cannot fix it! The last technician from Philips Appliance in San Diego was terrible. He said he would order a new control board but never did and he closed the case without telling us.When I called Whirlpool to check on the status of the problem I was told that they will not look at or change parts for intermittent problems so what did I pay the extended warranty money for? When the oven does not ignite there is a smell of gas and we are now concerned that it may be dangerous so we are about to dump this useless Whirlpool gas range to a purchase a LG model! Bottom line is NEVER BUY Whirlpool and NEVER WASTE your money on a Whirlpool Extended Warranty Plan!

I’ve had this washer since October 2018. Worst purchase ever. It does not clean the clothes nor does it put enough water in it. I’ve tried the deep water option too and it’s for sure still not enough. I don’t understand how they even thought that this was perfectly fine to sell. If I could’ve taken it back a month after having it, I for sure would. And no one will buy it because they’ve read reviews of how it’s terrible. I wasted $900 on this washer. I have the dryer also which works amazing. The washer just sucks something terrible. My husbands military uniforms always look dirty and a lot of the clothes aren’t ever wet. I’ve finally seen a picture of how you’re supposed to have clothes in there. Why in the world would you only allow barely a layer of clothes at the very bottom to be cleaned by the agitator? Why would you have this huge drum only to put not even a load in there? This was such a waste Whirlpool and I’m glad I’m not the only person who has the same issue. I will never purchase another Whirlpool washer, it’s upsetting I can’t currently get rid of this crap washer I have now.

I am a fan of Whirlpool and I think the issues I have with this Duet machine is more because of the style but who knows. This is a front loader with lower water usage. It would have never gotten my sons sports uniforms clean. Never. The gasket around the front loading window frequently clogs so water doesnt drain. And perhaps worse, the drawer where detergent goes stays wet so it had gotten moldy and I didnt realize it. Now I remove the drawer after every wash so it can dry and I leave the loading door open as well. That just seems like a major design flaw and health issue.

This is an energy efficient, expensive appliance that we expected to last for years and we feel that 2 1/2 years of service is unacceptable. The fridge was only 12 days old when this occurred, imagine my shock and disappointment. Whirlpool Customer Service reps then sent me another one of their products Whirlpool Stainless Steel Brightener with instructions to clean it every day for 3 weeks and it would resolve the rust problem. It didnt resolve the rust problem. 2 repairmen from different companies have looked at the doors and shook their heads that Whirlpools own Customer Service department recommended a product for a fridge that rusted it and then they take no responsibility for it! Whirlpool knows these stainless steel fridges have the potential to rust. Its listed in their manual. Unfortunately, buyers arent given a copy of that manual to peruse BEFORE they buy the product. I would never have purchased this Whirlpool fridge had I seen that! I have now since read of other Whirlpool stainless steel fridges rusting.

I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio set, in 2009. I bought the top loading washer, and matching dryer. Since 2009, I have had the washer serviced FIVE times. Bearings, water pump, F1, F2, ul codes, and a few other things, I honestly cant remember. I love this capacity. But that is all I love about this machine. Today, the water pump went out again. I have been reading online regarding loose coins making their way into the drain pump, the hose, and other parts of the washer. I am diligent about emptying my pockets, but, obviously, someone in the house is not. There should be a trap for the coins, buttons, and any other debris that passes through, but, clearly there is not, and it appears I am not the only one with this problem. I am so frustrated. I paid almost $3,000.00 for this set. It was my very first brand new set and I have had so many problems with this. With all of the problems and all of the complaints, and so many similar complaints, why is Whirlpool not acknowledging them? Why are they not doing anything about it? Side note, my dryer works fine.

When wash cycle finished items were covered in soap residue and or had large dry spots where water had never touched the area. When our sheets were washed in bulky/sheet cycle and deep water this happened. Maytag sent out repair person to find the water pump went bad, pump was replaced. After repair same bad washing results as stated previously. Maytag then sent out repair person for the second time. This time the main electrical board was replaced. Still after two repairs wash loads are still coming out dirty, soapy, dry in spots in any of the selected wash cycles large or small. Third call to Maytag and a third scheduled repair date coming up in a few day. Over the phone the Maytag employee only words of wisdom was, Did you buy the extended warranty. Our whirlpool gas range has a defect - the material around the control panel is peeling and flaking; it is not possible to clean it and it is likely going to get into our food. It has not been cleaned with anything harsh - I use warm soapy water or stainless steel cleaner. I use the same thing on my other appliances and they look fine. I am waiting for a tech to come and look at it but after reading other complaints I fear that they are going to say it is cosmetic and it is not covered. Sadly, we can no longer wipe the control panel if it is dirty because the stainless steel is flaking off and it gets all over the burners and I am concerned it will get into our food. I am willing to bet the paint that is flaking off is not approved for consumption.I wish I had our old Frigidaire Gallery Series range back. I regret replacing it. Whirlpool was not helpful. They told me to contact the place I purchased it. The place I purchased it said it is a manufacturers defect. Someone suggested painting it with stainless steel colored spray paint which sounds like it is going to look awful. The new panel is $148 but it will need to be installed and if there is a defect how often will I have to replace it? I am very disappointed.

This refrigerator (Model #wrf560seymoo, Serial # VS31343718) was new in April 2013. In the last 3 years it has required 3 service repairs. Two under the extended warranty, one recent one 3 months out of warranty. All repairs came up in the last 3 years. The first repair addressed frost build up in the freezer. The second required replacement of the water filter compartment and the third will be addressing water dripping from the freezer door when I open it. Even after turning off the ice maker and removing the frozen puddle from the bottom of the freezer, it still drips water when I open the door. I have a call into service on this right now. I would like the company to fix the current issue even though it is outside of warranty. This product is too new to have so many problems and be just over 5 years old.

Awful customer service. We bought a washing machine in 2010 and it has shredded a ton of clothes over the years. I called customer service to see what they could do to help me with this problem. After about 45 minutes of trying to get more than a service that I would have to be responsible for, the supervisor offered me a new washer at a discounted price. I went online to compare and found out I could purchase the exact same washing machine at home depot & best buy for $50 cheaper. I called back to see if there was anything they could have done and they would not budge.Shame on you Whirlpool. You have lost a customer and I will make sure no one I know buys one of your products ever again. I cannot believe that you would not make any accommodations for us. We bought that washing machine with the intention of keeping it for 15 years. It has cost us countless amounts of blankets, shirts, pants, etc. I cant believe you wouldnt help us after all the money this piece of junk cost us.

Whirlpool Duet 2009 Model WFW9400SW02 - Worst experience ever with a new Whirlpool front Load washing machine. It broke down with error codes F28, F70, F71 13th month just after warranty and was leaking water. Bought 1 yr 153.00 Whirlpool extended warranty. Many reviews in internet have same complaint. Immediately had it repaired after waiting my 60 days to use warranty, but did not work after the door latch switch and one of 3 main circuit boards was replaced which was over $600.00. That was 2 visits. Fired them and had warranty company send different repair Co. They came twice with a cost of $840.00 and worked for 30 days and then had no power. 3rd repair company came out and wanted $350.00 to order part. I was offered $1195.00 cash or $1499.00 replacement top of line Whirlpool WFL98HEBU. Nice! But only 1 year warranty and I had to pay 200.00 shipping. I decided to take the money since I did not want to risk the break down on the new washer. The reviews on the new washer were not favorable with break down as the main complaint. 4 repairs in 1 year is lemon law on my warranty. My repairs were 4 in 45 days.

I bought a brand new washer from Home Depot, Whirlpool 4.3 cu High Efficiency Top Load Washer to be exact. It hasnt even been 90 days and it started to make the loud, horrible noise so we had someone come and look at it. Apparently the transmission blew and the oil leaked all over my tile floor. I work full time and I do laundry only on the weekends and there is only two people living in the house so you can imagine we do not use it that much. I went to Home Depot first and since it was past 30 days we had to called Whirlpool direct. The customer service is horrible. I thought since the transmission blew, they would replace the entire machine since that is the brain of it. NOPE! They said to replace the entire machine and give us a new one, it would have to break 3 times. Are you kidding me? They did not offer to reimburse the tile damage or the amount of money I had to spend at the laundromat. Not to mention its been over a week and the guy still has not come out and fixed the transmission. It would not be a big deal to me if the hose broke or something simple, but imagine if you bought a BRAND NEW car and the transmission broke 60 days after you bought it. You would take it back to get a new car. The customer service line could not care less about the issue. I spent over 2 grand in appliances from Whirlpool and I will never buy their product again because of the customer service and the fact they did not want to make the situation right. I just bought the machine brand new for a reason!

We owned a Whirlpool Duet washer that went out in late December 2011. We bought another Whirlpool Duet washer on January 8, 2012. On July 31, 2012, it stopped working with the error message F24. In WV, Whirlpool contracts their insurance/warranty through ACE Appliance. We scheduled with ACE the next day. They came out on August 6, 2012. The repairman told me it would be 7-10 days for the part. The part was on back-order, so in reality it took 17 days before they returned. It was repaired on August 23, 2012. Today, September 17, 2012, the washer stopped working again with the same error: F24. Whirlpool will do nothing to replace the washer, even though it is less than a year old and we paid $900 for the washer. This is the second Whirlpool we have owned that has crashed. I have two small children (4 and 2) and I am due with number 3 in 3 weeks. While the washer was broken, I spent nearly $80 at the laundromat for washing only - I carried baskets of wet laundry home to dry. And now I get to repeat the same exact struggle less than a month after it was fixed. When asked, the customer service rep told me that no matter how many times it broke, all they would do is send a repairman. They never ever replace appliances regardless of the problem. I am unbelievably frustrated and I want to tell everyone that I possibly can to stay away from Whirlpool appliances! Do not buy them new! Their manufacturers warranty is a joke!

Apparently, Whirlpool selling all their rejected faulty washing machine in the market. The trick they are playing is the machine being sold with one year parts-labor warranty; They wont replace these machines with a new one because they know that these machine will never work, consumer will buy the faulty machine, obviously it wont work so consumer will call for service. The service guy will say that “oh! Machine needs a part and then the customer service will say “the part is being ordered”, “wait”, then the service guy will come with the part and after wasting some time he will say “Oh! The machine needs another part, and again customer service will tell the consumer that “you keep calling us”. One year will be gone! Bottom line – faulty machine is sold, Whirlpool made profit, buyer is robbed. I am one unfortunate customer who purchased Whirlpool Washing Machine which never worked as it is a faulty machine which should not go to the market at all; Whirlpool made money on my hard-earned dollars and I been robbed.

I purchased a brand new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer from Sears less than 5 years ago and am junking it! It has all the same problems everyone else has mentioned. I have had it serviced for faulty motherboard, unbalanced tub, broken lock mechanism. It had rusted out on the inside. Clothes are never clean and it constantly becomes unbalanced in spin cycle. We have to stop and rebalance every single load 3 or 4 times--or more if trying to wash a set of sheets or two or more towels. Cant leave the machine unattended for even a few minutes. I might as well be hand washing on a scrub board at the edge of a river! Waste of money and Whirlpool Customer Service wont say anything but should have purchased extended warranty! What a load of crap from what was once a reputable company that used to make a reliable product. WARNING--NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL WASHING MACHINE!!!!!

Purchased in January of 2014: Brand new Whirlpool WOS51EC7AS01 model oven - interior bottom metal has buckled causing the enamel to crack and break off from oven bottom. I registered all my new appliances immediately for warranty. When this happened after the fourth or fifth time baking in the oven, I called Whirlpool to get a service person to look at it. First person Whirlpool scheduled to come out refused to even come out, without looking at my oven. He said he knew we did something wrong? They immediately set up a second service person, after two weeks waiting for an answer; I had to call him (twice). He said that his report and pictures sent into Whirlpool shows normal use and there is nothing wrong with our oven? So, Whirlpool will do nothing to repair the oven? We just spent almost $4,000.00 on all new Whirlpool appliances, and this is how we get treated? WOW! Never again will I ever purchase a Whirlpool product. The enamel is gone in spots from our oven floor. How long do they think that will last with no protective coating on the oven? Terrible customer service.

I bought this Whirlpool America dishwasher because it was cheap. Even though Im Canadian, I like patriotism and I could get behind the American flag logo on the washer. Let me just say, if you like when food comes off your plates, and attaches to your cups, then this is the dishwasher for you. It is always a surprise when you open the door to discover which dishes have been cleaned, and which dishes have inherited the food particles from the now clean dishes. This appliance really helps you work on time management as you are required to wash all your dishes before you put them into the dishwasher. 0/10 would not recommend for anyone who wants clean dishes.

I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator in January 2014. When it was delivered it had a dent in the left side door (the door with the controls and ice-maker). I reported the problem to Whirlpool and they told me that they would send a new door and would have a third-party technician install it. About a month later, February 2014, the door arrived, after calling the technician; he came out and attempted to install the door. The door would not fit! Called Whirlpool and they told me that the refrigerators were produced one at a time and that they would have to manufacture a new door. They promised the new door sometime in May. In the meantime, I have a damaged unit and I need to store this huge box for months. The refrigerator works fine to keep the food cool and the ice and water features work well. The ice-maker is a bit noisy but it only operates occasionally.

We have had this dishwasher since 1983 and we still run it on an average of 6 days a week. Features are the fact that it has given all of our dishes, our silverware, our pots and pans sparkling clean looks for all those years. It fits nicely into the kitchen space which was designed for a dishwasher. It never needed a repair. After all those years, this machine still looks fine. After all those years I really doubt if it still has a warranty and it never needed service.

I bought my home four years ago with a Whirlpool 50-gallon water heater in it. It was installed in December 2002. Well, my hot water went out. After being told I could go to Lowe’s because they would supply the part free of charge because there was a recall on the thermocouple unit. I went to Lowes. No luck there. They told me they didnt carry the whole replacement unit and I would need a number from Whirlpool. The guy at Lowes was very nice but said I was the fifth person to come in this week.I called Whirlpool and was told because I was not the homeowner that had purchased the item that there was no warranty on the product and that I would have to pay for the part. It cost $34.98 plus shipping, which was another $30.00 because I had it shipped overnight. Two days with no hot water was enough. Well, I got the part and hopefully there is nothing wrong with it as it was shipped in a box twice as big as needed with no packing what so ever.I just got off the phone with them again but this time spoke with a supervisor that told me there was no need for packing. There was no part of the entire assembly that could have been damaged. Will I ever buy anything with the Whirlpool name on it? Not only no, but ** no! Will I tell everyone I know about this? You bet. I am also going to write to Lowes and ask why they are continuing to sell inferior appliances such as these. I have to tell one realtor friend about this and just placed a call to another to tell him. The first had no idea that appliances that were marked still under warranty did in fact have no warranty at all if its a Whirlpool. I may write a letter to the editor of our local newspaper and hope that they will publish it to inform anyone reading the paper about these inferior products.

In March of 2013, I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator; model number WRF990
In March of 2013, I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator; model number WRF990SLAM00 from Lowes. About two weeks after my manufacturers warranty expired, I called Whirlpool because the refrigerator wasnt working anymore. It took several weeks and the need to call four different repair companies before we finally had one that was willing and able to come attempt to repair the refrigerator. They came out, changed a few parts and left. Several weeks later, the refrigerator quit again. This time, when I called whirlpool (about June 2014), I was able to convince them to give me an extended warranty. They told me that the warranty would expire in December, and that all the work and service would be covered up to that date. This was fortunate because that repair, parts alone, was near a thousand dollars. Of course, the repair company couldnt make these repairs in my kitchen, so they had to remove the refrigerator and take it to their shop for several days. By this point, we had lost two refrigerators full of food. In mid-November 2014, the refrigerator quit again. We lost another refrigerator full of food. We called Whirlpool and the repair company again, and the repair was scheduled. I have six children and we spent Thanksgiving without a refrigerator in our home. The repair shop kept the refrigerator for several days after they fixed it to make sure it wouldnt leak coolant, because by this time, they had figured out that there were several pin hole sized leaks in the coolant line. It didnt leak. They had it for about four weeks total before they brought it back to us. By the next morning after having the refrigerator plugged in for several hours in our kitchen, the temp was at 65 degrees in the refrigerator and 60 in the freezer. I called the repair company again and whirlpool. The repair company has come to the conclusion that there must be a leak in the coolant line in the walls of the refrigerator and it is deemed unrepairable. They called the whirlpool tech line and the tech people told them to come back to our house and read the pressures the next day. They came out, read the pressures, determined that coolant had leaked out and told the tech department it was not repairable. The tech department told them to go through the entire cooling system again. This is something they have done several times. Today, they brought the refrigerator back after going through the entire cooling system, yet again. Its still not working. As I type this, my refrigerator is at a balmy 55 degrees. The repair company and I have both, on numerous occasions requested a replacement refrigerator. This was a very high end purchase for us. The original cost of the refrigerator was around $3,000. I have lost around $1500 worth of food, which Ive also requested on numerous occasions for Whirlpool to reimburse and they refuse. Whirlpool refuses to replace the refrigerator. Today, I found out that, by mistake, they gave me a one year extended warranty instead of six months. They said that it does not expire until June 19, 2015. Even with this information, they told me that the best offer that they will give me is IF I am willing to EXCHANGE my lemon that is in my kitchen right now, they will SELL me a replacement refrigerator at a discount. They say that the terms of the extended warranty are different than terms of a manufacturers warranty. This is unacceptable. I am currently out several thousand dollars for an over sized filtered water dispenser in my kitchen. Throughout 2014, we spent somewhere between three and four months without a working refrigerator in our home. As of right now, I havent had a working refrigerator for about six weeks and through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. I bought the refrigerator because I thought it would act like a refrigerator and not a paper weight. An Implied Warranty of Merchantability has no expiration date. It requires that the goods be fit for the ordinary purposes for which they are to be used. This refrigerator is not fit to be used.Id also like to mention that during the times that Ive spoken with Whirlpool on the phone, they have told me that they would replace the refrigerator if the repair company deemed it unrepairable. Typically when I call whirlpool, I am on hold for fifteen to thirty minutes before I get to a representative. Today, I was on hold for forty minutes before my call was disconnected. This has happened numerous times. Ive also had representatives disconnect the call several times when they were transferring me to another department, or putting me on hold. I estimate that I have spent at least forty hours on the phone with the customer service department for whirlpool in the last several months. And even, with all that, I have not had a dependable refrigerator for eight months. I need this resolved and I dont feel that it is fair for me to be financially punished because of the lemon that Ive already purchased from Whirlpool.

I would like to share whirlpools lack of ownership for parts they knew were faulty that caused significant damage to my floor. Its absolutely horrendous that one would purchase the highest end dishwasher they offer (all highest end appliances in 3 homes so far) and the company is only willing to cover the replacement of the part. Its a horrible way to run a company. I hope that my review will warn prospective customers to stay away from a company who is only willing to take your cash at purchase (charging an arm and a leg no less) and not care about any repercussions after the fact. I hope they enjoy our 15k, because it will be the last penny they get from us.

I purchased a washer and dryer stackable about 6 months ago. It is suppose to have warranty but when calling the first time to Whirlpool their system was down and the girl was rude and hung up. Today I called and the only time they can offer is work days Monday-Friday 8-5. However, I live in Texas and work an hour and half away from where I live. I have just been transferred here so limited people known. So in order to get my dryer not even 6 months old fixed I have to accommodate the hours available and miss work. The dryer just stopped heating and stuck on the sensing wet cycle. I am a single parent of a disabled son, so with this said a days work is bills not getting paid. I find this unacceptable for a company as well known and one of the best not able to accommodate someones work hours for pretty much a lemon. It was a brand new dryer and washer.

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator to match the other appliances in our kitchen. The unit was purchased in June of 2012. Two and a half years later, it quit making ice and would not maintain proper cooling temps. Not to mention the noise coming from the compressor. So we had a certified tech come out and he said that it was the sealed refrigeration system. He stated that he had seen this issue a lot with whirlpool refrigerators. He said that what they don’t tell you is that it is covered for 3 years but good luck with getting any satisfaction. The cost to fix it you ask? $700.00. Might as well just buy a new one. Took a shot in the dark and called Whirlpool customer service. Gave the girl my information and model number. I got the “Sorry, but your model number is not covered by the sealed refrigeration warranty.” Then I got the ole, “Is there anything else today?” Well, she got the wrong man on the phone this day. I asked her to give me a model number that is covered by the warranty and I will purchase that one. You could have heard a pin drop. I don’t guess she’s been asked that before. She starts to ramble and said, “Well, there are just so many, I could not possibly tell you. Some are and some aren’t.” (Remember that statement) You mean she can tell me that mine was not covered, but could not tell me which models were covered. Huh??? Long story short. I argued with her for an hour on the phone and she finally breaks down and admits that Whirlpool does not warranty the sealed systems on their refrigerators any longer because they are considered value brands. What are value brands you ask? I asked the same thing. I was informed that a value brand is of lower cost to draw people to buy the product. Remember in the movie Back to the Future when Doc Brown said he sold a nuclear weapon to the Libyans at a good price but it was just filled with pinball machine parts? Well, there you go. I get the supervisor on the phone and she has the I’m going to be strict with this customer voice. She basically blames me in the fact that I failed to purchase the extended warranty. You’re right, my fault. How dare I have the nerve to think that a one thousand dollar value Whirlpool refrigerator would last no further than two and a half years? My bad on that one lady. The end result; I was told that I could purchase a new Whirlpool refrigerator and be sure to get the extended warranty. Yeah, why don’t go practice falling down Whirlpool, I’ll be there in a minute. I bought a 38 gal. low boy electric Whirlpool water heater from Lowe’s. It was replaced because of a leak around the upper heating element after only one year. Now, the replacement heater is leaking in the same place, and it has been leaking so long that the electric terminals are rusted, water is standing in the cover plate, and the lining is soaked. I cannot see behind the plate and dont know it until the water finally made its way into the drip pan beneath the heater. When we saw the standing water, we turned off the electricity and shut off the water to it to stop a fire hazard. The warranty is up on my water heater, but my concern is that this could cause someones home to burn.
