In June 2003, I purchased a Whirlpool Gold Conquest Side-by-Side satina finish refrigerator (Model Number: GAS6SHAXLL03; Serial Number: SP1452552). The ice-maker has always had freezing up issues which I never complained to the company about. It has made weird noises (nothing major) but was already out of warranty. I paid $1,600-1,700 for it. I did not have the money to pay for repairs and I am sure that the repairman would have never found the problem. Two days ago, there was an electrical smell in the house. After an hour or two, it started getting stronger and stronger so my husband looked at the fridge. There was smoke pouring at the back of it so he pulled it away from the wall and we unplugged it. Surprisingly, the plug was not hot. Had I not been home, it could have caught fire, burned the house down and killed my dog! I am furious about this. When I called, Whirlpool says, That model is not under a recall. Would you like me to transfer you to service for repair? Really? Those big corporations dont care! There needs to be a recall on this because I have seen this same problem many times on blogs and forums. Well, guess what, I used to be a Whirlpool fan, not anymore! Now, I went and purchased a new refrigerator, and the brand name is Samsung! I recently bought a Samsung front loading washer and dryer and they are great. It looks like the Whirlpool dishwasher in my kitchen will be next! I bet Samsung makes a nice dishwasher.

Model WRS586FIEMO1, Serial # HR50801958. In December ice maker stopped dispensing due to cubes melting and clogging around the auger. After 3 service calls a new door was ordered with a delivery time of 4 o 6 weeks. Have spoken to and e-mailed several customer service people and am told it will be another 4 to 6 weeks. This has happened at least 3 times. In the meantime I must empty and clean the ice bin and surroundings every night or it freezes up and cannot be removed at all. Finally told them I no longer want a new door, I want a different model fridge. Was told they do not replace, only repair. It is now April and they have done neither. They did extend my warranty until December but at this rate that too will run out. Would never buy another Whirlpool appliance or any of the other brands that manufacture.

I did not purchase it, the stove came with the house. I like the flat-top... easy to clean. I dont like that any little spill causes a stain that has to be cleaned. I didnt shop for this one. Although I would have this as an option if I was shopping. Low quality would be a problem. I want my stove to last a very long time. But, I dont want to pay a lot of money for it. I have a Whirlpool, glass top (smooth top) built in stove. I dont know the model. It has 4 electric burners, of 2 sizes. It has dials to control the heat amount.

I bought 2 Cabrio washing machines for my two homes along with the matching dryers. They worked for about 3 months, then the washers displayed OL Error during any wash cycle. I tried to contact manufacturer and have not been able to get service without charge. After reading the many posts I am not sure if I should dump both or start investing $$$ in service calls.

Washer doesnt get soap out of clothes. Had tutorial from service man. Must use extra rinse every time and still have soap on dark clothes. Worst washer I have ever owned. Makes washing a lot of extra work and frustration. Have tried everything to no avail. Takes at least three times longer to wash clothes with all the steps I have to take to get soap out. I understand EPA demands for less water usage, but clothes still must be properly cleaned.

Cleans average compared to previous dishwashers. Does not dry well even on high heat dry. Cycle takes about two hours and I have to run it during the day because it is too loud. The price was good, but I wish I would have bought a little higher grade.

Dishwasher has had multiple issues in the 4 years of use. - Incomplete cycles - need to call repairman to figure out why the dishwasher does not complete cycles, fills with water but doesnt go into clean cycle - In 2 years had to replace grommet due to leaking water. - Top rack slide rail plastic ends broke needing to purchase both new ones. - Detergent door quit opening - door does not open during entire cleaning cycle.- Design flaw with silverware rack on the door, be careful not to block or silverware will not get cleaned.

We have had this washer for a little over three years. We are a family of 2 so it gets only light use. The agitator stopped working and the repair was going to be $370! The repair person suggested we contact the manufacturer but they refused to even pay a portion of the repair. Goodbye Whirlpool! And yes, it left white streaks on our clothes as well.

From the beginning, we were not really happy with the performance of the machine, which we felt was not cleaning as well as it should. Now it doesnt take the soap at all. The washing process goes on perfectly but without soap, so the dishes remain dirty.

I purchased a brand new 2019 Whirlpool side by side refrigerator in October of 2019 for my new house. Yes, that was 2.5 years ago. HOWEVER, I live alone and hardly ever use the ice dispenser. Maybe, it was used 20 times in 2 years. The ice dispenser just stopped working and today I notice the refrigerator is not even making ice! What a piece of garbage!

DO NOT purchase a WHIRLPOOL hot water heater!! The gas valve temperature sensors on these units are faulty. Our technician has replaced several of these defective sensors. Costs $250.00 to install - water tank is only a year old! WHIRLPOOL REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS PROBLEM!! We bought this particular unit because of the reputable name brand. They dont live up to expectations. Dont waste your money on a Whirlpool - youll be replacing it soon! Very disappointed in this company!

I hate my Whirlpool refrigerator: It has a upper freezer with no light. The shelves are not split and raising or lowering shelves gains nothing and may even take space away. I would never ever buy another Whirlpool.

My three month old Whirlpool electric range caught on fire last night. The wiring that connects to the electrical cord to the stove shorted and melted. Thank God we were up and smelled it and quickly pulled the stove out and unplugged it. Had the fire dept out this morning and they verified that it was the stove and not house wiring. Now, I am without a stove, out of my money and waiting on the mercy of Whirlpool to take care of this situation. I do not want this stove in my house so I wont accept repair. Not sure I want another Whirlpool either. If this had happened during our sleep time, the whole house could have burned down. So upset and inconvenienced.

In less than 4 years the top lid broke at a poorly designed hinge point (+$200). Cabrio washer mercilessly tangles/twists clothes; HE does not totally rinse all detergent from clothing necessitating extra rinse (so much for efficiency); now at 4 year point bearing has gone and machine sounds like a freight train (+$250). Do not recommend this item if this what to look forward to. Called Whirlpool initially about tangling/twisting problem and just got lip service about arranging clothes. Duh, did that already.

I do like washer to be efficient and quick at what they do.. I also like the way they are economical and use less water he energy economical it what I need.. I do like clean clothes. Right now I am using an ancient one and the sound drives me nuts..

Our Neptune washing machine is 15 yrs. old. Minimal problems, which I could fix myself. The door gasket needs constant attention to prevent mold. It is a front loader. I have replaced the gasket once. The belt transiently slips.

Bought the refrigerator in december 2017. Called them 2 times already and just called them again on sunday. They are coming out friday the 15th again to fixed a leaking problem. The first time was the freezer was freezing up a lot of ice which they claimed it was the rubber on the bottom door of the freezer was not sealing tight enough. Second time the refrigerator was leaking so much water I was literally drying up water everyday and have towels on the floor to prevent my new floor from damage. Leaking starts again same problem. Completely frustrated now. Going to contact Consumers Affairs to see what further action I can take.

Five years ago, I decided to splurge on a really nice (expensive) over-the-range microwave during a complete kitchen remodel and had the Whirlpool Gold Velos Microwave GH7208XRS installed, thinking Whirlpool would be a reliable brand to replace our 18+ year-old (still working) Kenmore countertop model that we had used previously. About 4 months ago, after a couple of mysterious cases of the control panel going haywire (turning on by itself in a different modes), it started pouring smoke out the top and service was called and the magnetron and inverter were replaced to the tune of $482.Fine, things happen. Yesterday, while opening the door, the handle snapped off and (upon closer inspection) I noticed cracks around all sides of the door frame - see photos. After reading about similar complaints about Whirlpool microwaves on this forum, I really feel that this is a defect in materials and should be recalled or at least addressed by the company if they want to maintain their reputation. Right now, I am waiting on their authorized repair service to see what my recourse will be.

Product number 0733318 Terrible water heater - Check valve went after 2 years. Replacement has to be shipped from TN. $30 to next day it or else I can take cold showers for a week. Warranty does not cover shipping or installation. My opinion, buy puts on WHR. Absolutely crappy product.

Refrigerator is only 4 years old and must be defrosted every 2 or 3 weeks as a thick sheet of ice forms in the bottom of the freezer. Also the appliance frequently emits loud cracking noises.

Very unhappy with my top load washing machine. I use more water. Can wash fewer clothes and clothes do not come as clean as with my older Whirlpool. This machine needs a SERIOUS AGITATOR. Will not buy another Whirlpool.

We purchased a water heater at Lowes. Our old water heater had an issue but we always had good water pressure with the hot water until we made the horrendous mistake to purchase at LOWES - the worst possible place to buy a water heater. They sent the water heater and we had to look for someone to connect the WHIRLPOOL WATER HEATER (the runaway water heater). When it was installed the water pressure at my home was so bad that only one shower can be used at a time. This never happened before with the old water heater, there was no pressure at all.We called LOWES the WORST PLACE TO BUY A WATER HEATER, they did not accept any responsibility and they sent me to the Technician that Lowes has in DENVER to fix the problem. This bad company (WHIRLPOOL) sent us a crooked technician who wanted to charge us $600 dollars to repair something other than the water heater. We did not trust this person and we called another technician who told us that the water heater is not working properly. There is no one at LOWES and NO ONE at the Whirlpool customer service who can help us with this disgraceful water heater.DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL WATER HEATERS. DONT BUY AT LOWES!!! They are crooks! They do not respond for their products. They do not want to exchange the damn water heater as HOME DEPOT would. Buy everything at HOME DEPOT! Run away from Lowes! If you like having to use a funnel to refill plastic water bottles, and enjoy ice splashed all over your kitchen floor then the Whirlpool Gold refrigerator is the model for you. The problem with ice is if you dont have your glass sealed up to the ice dispenser it will shoot ice out over the top of the glass, and even if you DO do that when you try to remove your glass to cut off the ice supply it continues to disperse ice everywhere. TIP: The only way to more efficiently stop ice from spraying all over your wood floor is to do this: When your glass is full of ice, simply open a door on the refrigerator. That IMMEDIATELY stops the flow of ice OR water. Works great, and its the only way to deal with this horrid design flaw in this product....

Whirlpool appliance suite purchased May 2013. Whirlpool Gold French door refrigerator with bottom freezer, Model #GX5FHTXV. At the end of my kitchen remodel, I was excited to have my new Whirlpool appliances delivered by an authorized Whirlpool installer. When the refrigerator install was complete, I alerted the delivery people the French doors were not aligned properly. There was at least 1/4 difference at the top of the doors. They did their best to fix the problem to no avail.I called the Specialty Appliance store to complain and they had a repair man come a few short days later to examine the issue. He inspected the problem and had to order new door parts. A few long weeks later, the repair man came to install the new parts. Well, to my disgust, the new parts did not fix the problem. This next sentence only refers to the place I bought the darn thing. I then called Specialty Appliance to inquire about returning the appliance and of course they wouldnt take the appliance. Im stuck with it. The workman ship is cheap. The internal drawers are poor at best. I spent a good deal of money on what I thought would be a good product. My previous appliance suite was Whirlpool and I NEVER had issues the 13 years I had them.Whirlpool Gold freestanding double oven gas range, Model #GGG388LX. Problem: oven catches fire while self-cleaning oven. Big problem. Takes forever to get rid of the smell that leaves behind. The range itself has worked well. No issues with cooktop and its easy to clean. The grates dont stay black and look rusted in a couple of places. Oven cooks well as I know how to make adjustments as to not overcook meals.Following cleaning instructions provided by Whirlpool, I wipe out the oven (when cool) after spills if there are any. I thought I would run the self clean since Ive had the appliance over a year to properly maintain it. BAD IDEA. After running the self clean cycle for about 35 min, I noticed fire. Wanting to protect my $60K remodel investment, I quickly cancelled the clean cycle and watched smoke pour out of the top. Not a fun experience. It took about 15 minutes for the fire inside the bottom compartment to finally go out. Wont be self cleaning my self-clean oven again! By the way, I didnt clean the oven with chemicals because the owners manual states not to and I HATE using those chemical anyway. Again, stuck with an appliance I am not satisfied with. Lesson learned? Yes, I will NEVER buy a Whirlpool product again. Kinda wish I still had my old white ones...

My microwave came with my house. I didnt choose it but it has been a great brand. I love the preset timers for defrosting & for popcorn. Its big enough to handle an 8x8 pan which was important to me. The turntable could be more stable. My model is a built in over the oven option. Black & digital. It has lots of preset options & is pretty user friendly. I like the size & it is super quiet.

I have had many parts replaced on this refrigerator regarding ice maker. But nonetheless yesterday opened freezer and noticed a huge crack about 12 inches on the inside right of the freezer, not near a shelf or anything. I call today of course warranty is up after my 2 yr and Whirlpool says sorry maam there is nothing we can do. Seriously I purchased 2 years and 2 months ago @ $1560 and I’m told I would have to purchase a new one. Certain brands of dishwashers made by Whirlpool, including Whirlpool, Kitchenaid and Kenmore, are a fire hazard. Most appeared to be made in the mid-00s. My Kenmore Elite, model# 665.16293400, bought in March 2006, started emitting a burning plastic smell. I removed the door panel and found where the control board wires have been overheating and melting the plastic liner inside the door.Further investigation led me to kitchenaidfire.com, which details the models involved and includes hundreds of reports of fires from these models. I also searched saferproducts.gov and also found over 100 reports of fires from these models. The report logs are growing rapidly as it appears most of the control boards start to malfunction about five years in.I called Sears and they said that Whirlpool needs to do a recall. I called Whirlpool and I was told that they do not make Kenmore dishwashers, only some parts. This is completely false. I couldnt believe the representative was told to tell me that besides the part that is failing is stamped Whirlpool. These Whirpool-made dishwashers are a documented fire hazard and need to be recalled. I do not know what it takes, hundreds of fire reports have been logged and they are rapidly growing, but I hope that it doesnt take someone to be killed before they are recalled.

My 79 year old grandmother hasnt used her Whirlpool washer in 5 months because of defects that Whirlpool USA thinks they are going to fix. Really??? How long is she going to go without being able to use her washer that she bought from your company? Is it going to take a year? 5 months!!!! I should be billing you for all of the out service of laundry we are having to pay for because of this inconvenience. I have never experienced worse customer service and more of a waste of my time and my dad’s time. I hate posting this but the only other option is therapy for my family from dealing with this insane issue.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio model # WTW6400SW3 in 04/08. Approx. 6 months ago, the washer started to be un-level during the spin cycle. This has progressively become worse, it now becomes un-level during the rinse cycle. We spoke with the appliance store where we purchased it, ;hey said the repairs could cost $400 or more. Thats nearly half of what it cost new. Like other complaints Ive read, cheaper washers have lasted years longer than the Whirlpool. Our last washer, a Kenmore, lasted 15 years.

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator from Sears and within a month the refrigerator side did not maintain temperature where milk would not spoil... Cool but never cold. I called Sears and they said its Whirlpool warranty to contact them. This I did and about a week later they contacted a local service company they use to maintain their equipment... Long story short this will be the 4th time they were informed the refrigerator still doesnt maintain temperature... Food had to be thrown out because of that.I asked them to refund me my cost or at minimum get a working refrigerator to me because after 4 attempts at trying to fix the problem it still exists... They just want to keep sending a repairman out there who still cant figure out the problem and that has cost me much time away from work not the mention the spoiled food costs... Even when complaining my dilemma to the repairman he said, All they will do is keep calling us and kick the can down the road... They could care less about what it has cost me in time and money... I had to give 1 star to this company but they dont deserve even that one... Dont waste you time thinking a warranty by them is worth a flip and now over 3 months Im without a refrigerator...

The washer itself doesnt get the clothes clean. The clothes on top never get clean, they smell. It doesnt spin out the clothes evenly even though I put them in evenly. There is oil on my floor under the washer and Rent-A-Center doesnt care and its under their Benefits plus program. They were to send off both washer and dryer last time and had no paperwork where washer was sent off at all. It has ruined a lot of my clothes with spots and I used the Tide pods. Stopped using them cause they were not working. I will never buy another Whirlpool product or appliance. Water pump went out in one year... Why would you not care about your customers... I got this set in 2013 and its the Platinum line triple top loader. You lucky to do one load at a time, a single load that is...

I am very disappointed in my Cabrio washer. I have had it for two year and now I have to spend $ 250.00 on a machine that sounds like Im in a machine factory. It is so loud in the spin cycle that you cant hear a TV or radio. Also the lit of the washer broke in the start of the second year. I had my previous washer for 15 years before requiring a service call. I have to agree with all the reviews that this washer should be recalled. Maybe if we all call the media in on this problem Whirlpool will be forced to pay for a recall or repairs. Another case of big business ripping off the consumer.

Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washer - The seal on the top of the drum is breaking down. It is cracking at the bleach and soap dispenser. Somewhere in the washer drum or plate is causing holes and cuts in the clothes. The machine is only 2 years old.

My three month old $2,000 combination microwave-oven works a fine, its the just the details that stink. For example: There is no way to turn off the turntable. Yes! a crappy $40 microwave can do this, but not this one. Liquid got into the middle of the door window. You cant open it up to clean, they want to send a technician to clean that up so you can actually see through the window. How much? $150. How was it possible that Whirlpool did not adequately seal the glass? They dont care, and dont care about how it looks.

It looks like I have the exact same problem as everyone else. Purchased an Energy Smart Whirlpool water heater at Lowe’s. Now I need a new controller. Hope they send me the non-catching fire type of controller.I am going to predict that the company will provide a response that says something like” “Hey, we really want to help you get your hot water back! Just contact us privately so we can discuss this without everyone being able to see what we tell you to do.” So far we are just out of hot water while we went through their diagnostics. They told me that this often happens and the best way to fix it is to let the hot water run in the shower for 20 minutes, then hold down the reset button on the controller for 5 seconds, and do that every time I experience this problem. I hope mine doesnt catch fire. Fire is bad.

I would not give this any stars! I purchased a Whirlpool gas range (model #WFG371LVB1) just 2 years ago at Lowe’s. The oven heats up to 475 no matter what temperature it is set at. The Whirlpool authorized service agent said it needed a control board which would cost $650 to install. The repair company found one for less--only $300. After reading all of the other complaints about these ranges, weve decided not to repair it and will probably have to replace it soon. We have been Whirlpool customers for years and will not purchase another Whirlpool product. There should be a recall on any of their products that have these continual problems. The oven cannot be safely used for normal baking.

We purchased our Whirlpool Gold series, french door refrigerator 22 months ago. The freezer and ice maker has stopped working. We had one repairman come out already and he couldnt fix it. We have another one coming in 2 days. I am very disappointed with the Whirlpool brand. I also bought a microwave, 2 wall ovens, and a dishwasher at the same time. The microwave makes a clicking noise every time you use it.

The refrigerator itself is noisy but thats not the problem. Most of my low ratings are because of the ice maker. Instead of being in the freezer it is up in the refrigerators area. It jams a lot, makes a lot of noise, had to replace the ice maker assy inside it already as it quit. Then the defrost water drain plugged and had to be cleaned out. Too many problems for such a new refrigerator. The refrig. itself works fine but get one with ice maker in the freezer.

Whatever you do, dont ever buy a Whirlpool French door refrigerator. For the last 5 months this $2,200 error in our judgement has not worked. We purchased it late last September and were so excited to enjoy this sleek machine. Wrong. In November a controller broke and the refrigerator portion froze over freezing everything and blowing apart the deli drawer. Then the ice maker was not working, it topped out at about 10 cubes a day. After that it acquired the lovely habit of shutting off every several minutes. 24 hours a day. Every time it would turn back on it would chime. 24 hours a day. And neither the refrigerator nor freezer portion would maintain temperature. Whirlpool keeps sending people out, turning us into their Guinea Pig while they try to come up with a solution. The chiming has finally stopped but we still dont have an ice maker and the light is intermittent. Another repair man is due tomorrow. So unless you have countless hours to spend waiting for and dealing with repairmen, making phone calls and enjoying throwing away spoiled food, dont waste your money with this company.

Purchased a gas stove June 10th, three days later smelled gas. Called the store where I purchased item, they gave Whirlpool 800#. They set an appointment 2 weeks out. Got part then burners only clicked. They ordered more parts. Now top range works. Started to use oven and got extremely hot. Called store. They referred back to Whirlpool. After hour and half they scheduled appointment. First appointment he didnt have tools to check temperature. Rescheduled for following week. He said oven was off 30 degrees. I then went to store to ask to return item. They said up to Whirlpool. On phone with Whirlpool over two hours, them switching from one department to another. No help. They insist on fixing again tearing up unit in my new wood floors. Dont buy anything from them.

You cannot control anything on this machine. You cannot pre-fill to dilute detergent- you cannot choose temp because what you choose is changed by the machine (manual). You cannot choose your own combinations of temp, water volume, and timing. Once the ** thing starts you cant change anything, like the setting you wish to use. Do NOT BELIEVE THIS IS ENERGY EFFICIENT. There is a REASON that this machine has a 2nd rinse. It is because so little water is used that it does not allow soap, lint or dirt to have anywhere to go but back into your clothes. YOU have to trick it out to get enough water to actually get some loads truly wet. EVER! You stand there like an idiot opening and closing the lid just to get enough water to dilute the detergent. You cant pre fill and then add your detergent because, it needs to sense your clothes load. Wont fill with the lid open. You cant rinse the detergent cup out. You only get to do what Whirlpool already knows about your needs. Oh & lets not forget the spin cycle. When you open the lid, large items like sheets will look like a pancake made from one of the sheets. However underneath will be a tangle of the rest of your wash worthy of a Gordian knot. You can yank your shoulders out trying to dislodge the clothes. Spin yes, I guess it did, I just didnt need permanent press wrinkles. And thats if you CAN actually open the lid. For some idiopathic reason the lid may be on lock. Good luck with that. Most often, youll find no reason that you can discern like an unbalanced load or as the booklet suggests, you havent figured out how to load a machine. I hate the design of this so much that I called the company and they said that they would send a repair man out to see if its working. Whats he going to do? Run a couple of washes and say hey thats how they design these things? They will not replace it. They do not stand behind their products. You are stuck with bad design period.Describe Yourself: Frequent User. Service/Delivery: It came with a big dent in the dryer we bought with it. Installer dudes crossed the hot with the cold. Whirlpool will not stand behind the products they make & they make lots of the brand names. So they figure they can just do exactly what they want and youre screwed because even under warranty, theyll only fix the mess of engineering they designed in the first place. Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the French doors with the ease of seeing everything when you open the doors. The only thing I do not like about this unit is the ice maker. If there is more than one person in the household there is never enough ice. Also the ice gets hung up inside the ice maker often.

If you are in the market for a new washing machine, steer clear of the Whirlpool Cabrio (or any Whirlpool for that matter). We have had issues with ours from the beginning. We had Whirlpool techs come out and were continually unable to fix the issues. Eventually they told them that it was not broken, even though one tech told us it definitely was. After four service calls they just stopped sending out techs and told us too bad. Now after less than two years it is leaking from the bottom. Yeah, Whirlpool, theres no problem with it. Save yourself the potential headache and get something else. Anything else.

My stove is good, I have gone through 2 refrigerators in less than 8 years and the replacement is having issues. Service is a joke, customer service is questionable but trying to assist but at this point will not recommend whirlpool products.

Whoever came up with the idea of this AquaLift oven cleaning method should be fired! This method does not work. Ive barely used my oven but had some cheese pizza drip on it so thought I should clean before using again. What a JOB! The spill did not come off the bottom entirely and using the non-scratch scrubbing sponge was a joke. There is some soil on the sides and back of the oven that I will have to use elbow grease to get off and Im going to have to crawl into the oven to see if they can be remove. Welcome back to the old days before self-cleaning ovens!

I wrote down names, but I will not say them here. I found many recall sites on Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6200vwo for washer tub bearings. Which mine are bad. I called and logged my complaint but they say they have NO recall on any of their products and will send someone out but will charge me a service call unwarranted and parts if needed. I told them there are many websites that recall their tub bearings but they refused to fix the problem on recall. I dont have photos due to bearings are under the tub.

Bought in October 2014. Died December 2015. The previous Whirlpool microwave this unit replaced was 10 years old and carried a 5 year warranty on the magnetron. Imagine my dismay to find out this unit carried only a 1 year warranty on the magnetron. So 2 months past warranty expiration Im left with a dead unit. I performed elementary troubleshooting. The unit has a fuse on the 120 Volt input. But the unit must be disassembled to gain access to the fuse. So what SHOULD be a five minute job turned into an hour and a half. The fuse wasnt the problem - replacement fuses blew like popcorn. Fuse placement within the unit without regard for service considerations is a poor design.To their credit, Whirlpool agreed to cover the cost of repairs if I would pay for labor. I agreed. A tech came out and looked at the unit. He said that he would have to order a bunch of parts and that he would be back in contact by the end of the week. Three weeks went by. There was no call from the tech; my messages on his voicemail generated no response. So a couple of days later I purchased a replacement from a competing manufacturer.

I bought Whirlpool dishwasher (silver, Golden Series), after one year it just stopped for nothing and the circuit controller failed with error code E2/F2. So it was expensive but turned out to be totally unreliable. I had to pay $200 to get extended warranty and still waiting for the parts!!! Worst experience ever (uh Golden Series, for me it is Plastic Series). Will never buy any product from this company again.

Whirlpool Gas Water heater purchased from Lowes in 2012. Have replaced two thermal couples and three gas control valves. Will not stay lit! Problems began within six months of purchase. Third gas control valve quit functioning today and Im on my way to Home Depot to purchase a Rheem...Im done with Whirlpool!

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator model #wrt1litzyv along with the extended warranty from Lowes. The compressor stopped working just before the warranty was to expire and had to be replaced. The cost of repairs almost equaled the price of the refrigerator and took nearly 2 months for the reimbursement check to arrive. I had to call several times. They told me they hadnt received the paperwork even though I sent it registered mail and it was signed for and I had to resend it. Now, less than 4 months later, the refrigerator is again not working properly. Freezer is not freezing properly. Takes 2 days to freeze ice. This is the absolutely worst refrigerator Ive ever had. My last refrigerator lasted 20 years. This one is only 3 years old and of course, the warranty is now expired. I will never buy another Whirlpool product. And I will never buy a major appliance from Lowes either since they play games with the warranties. And after the refrigerator was repaired, Whirlpool tried to sell me another extended warranty. They wanted $308.60 for a 3-year warranty. Ridiculous that they dont stand behind their products. And try to sell more warranties instead of just manufacturing a good product.

For years, Whirlpool has had an outstanding reputation for quality, so I cannot understand why a refrigerator I have owned less than three years has to have all the shelves and bins replaced. Not the glass, just the plastic. They actually started breaking the first year. I have literally had to tape my shelves together. These are very expensive and yet they are very low quality and of course are not covered on the warranty.The plastic is not built to withstand the cold and/or weight of food products. I am in construction and have had to deal with failed motherboards on new Whirlpool fridges that we put in some rental properties. Knowing that, when I went to buy a fridge for my own house, I went to a very reputable appliance company and talked openly about getting a fridge that wasnt going to be a problem. My sales agent and I go back always and he was very open about the problems with the more gadgeted Whirlpools so we picked a low bells and whistles French door fridge to avoid that. It stopped cooling at about the same age as all the rental units did and had a control panel fail. The sales guy and I laughed about how even knowing about the issues I didnt avoid it. Their company came out and fixed it for just short of 300 bucks.Two months later, it stopped cooling again. The service tech came out and this time hit the side of the fridge with his hand and opened a relay getting it to work, at least for another week. The tech told his boss that I must not have shut the freezer causing it to go into defrost mode. The third time it failed, we were out of town and lost all our perishables. We had the same tech come out and replace the board he got to work the last time with a whack to the side of the unit. That board should have been under a parts warranty for 90 days but I may have missed that with the slap repair working for the additional 2 weeks.Im trying to put this behind me but Whirlpool sent me an Extended Warranty Plan opportunity. I can now buy a plan on an almost 3-year old fridge. I am wondering if they are trying to give me the hook up on a bad product or just hoping to prey off my fears and cash in. The company I bought the appliance from has been first rate but their hands are tied by Whirlpool who has virtually no support for their vendors. Before buying a Whirlpool, consider a Sub-Zero. After you figure in the repairs, they arent too far apart in price.

Horrible stove. Bought online. Get set up and its worst design ever. Have to lay down on floor to watch broiler. Cant even slide out. The stove top is difficult to clean. The cast iron grates are very heavy and have to move one side at a time. I Cant control low heat. Have to use back burner only. Then Crap builds up on back console. The oven grates are too wide apart, Have To supplement with racks from my other stove oven.

I purchased a Cabrio washer and dryer in 2011 and sold it in 2012 for half the price. I was tired of my clothes not being cleaned. My husband and I work in an office environment so our clothes do not get real dirty. On the other hand, we do work around the house and garden. When I put black pants in the washer, then take them out, they look clean because the mud is still wet. When I take them out of the dryer, it is dry mud. I called the company and they said get someone in our area to come in and see if anything is wrong. Yep, they came in, charged me $150 and said that nothing is wrong; they cannot find one thing wrong. I used the washer for about another 6 months and thought, This is crazy! My towels, bedding, nothing is clean. I then sold it for half price and I am now using a totally different brand. I will never purchase a Whirlpool again!

Whirlpool 2 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Over-the-Range Microwave - My wife and I have just remodeled our kitchen and we bought all the Whirlpool appliances, fridge, stove and microwave. We have had them for about 3 weeks now and now the display on the microwave just stop working. I just cant believe this. Its going to be a real pain now to remove this and replace it. Has anybody else had this problem and I wonder if its even covered under its warranty.

I have read the reviews and agree with all negative comments. There is no point in investing in a high efficiency machine when I have to rewash many dark items several times in spite of always adding the extra rinse cycle. The clothes appear cleaner if I do not add liquid fabric softener, but as I prefer to use my clothes line when possible, I am unable to use fabric softener. Also, although it is supposed to be a high capacity machine, I only fill the tub about one third of its capacity, hoping this will increase the cleanliness of your clothes. It doesnt seem to help.I have contacted Whirlpool several times and the final suggestion was that pay for a technicians visit, approx. $100, plus extra for repairs. I have decided not to throw good money after bad and to buy another brand of washer. This is the WORST appliance I have ever owned even though it is supposedly high-end. PLEASE do not buy a Whirlpool appliance. If the Cabrio washing machine is an indication of the quality of their appliances, you will be wasting your money.

The Whirlpool duet front loading washing machine came with our new house five years ago. That machine has destroyed multiple clothing items including very expensive sweaters and undergarments. It has destroyed biking shorts and just about anything of value. Even destroyed the bags fur delicate clothing. I have to get a repair guy out every year to replace the bellow too! It is terrible!!!

Our Whirlpool refrigerator was delivered July 27th, 2013 after waiting 6 weeks for it. I was getting something off the top shelf (side by side refrigerator) when a 2-liter plastic bottle fell and put a hole in the bottom shelf where it sticks out under the vegetable tray. I have had grandkids sometimes stand on that shelf of our other refrigerators without ever doing any damage to it. It makes me nervous of dropping something else. I would like to send a complaint directly to Whirlpool but dont know how to reach them.

We bought the Whirlpool top loader washer and the drum broke down and after several attempted fixes it was replaced by new one as we were being financed through a business. So here comes the new one - same exact washer. Not only did it not clean well (normal soiling) then it goes to ul which means not balanced... not because clothes arent but because the thing that balances - it went only after a yr!! It would also keep filling draining again to no drain leaving clothes SOPPING wet... So very disappointed to say the least. What a piece of junk this washer is!! We have had a Whirlpool Refrigerator since 2004. We have only had minor issues with the ice maker within the last 3 years. We have had no major problems with this refrigerator. The other minor problems have been the quality of the drawers. After 15 years the plastic started to crack on them.

Most dissatisfying experience with Whirlpool. In 2013 I bought a stackable Whirlpool washer and dryer. Everything worked well for two months, and then the washer started having problems. The washer memory board unit (MBU) needed to be replaced. This was done under warranty. One and half years later I started getting the error F07 which means an electrical problem. I called Whirlpool and they told me a technician would cost $85 for a service call. I delayed the call until today.The technician came, did a diagnostic and then advised me that I would need a new MBU. The cost plus labour amounts to almost the cost of a brand new washer. To add insult to injury, Whirlpool advised the service call would cost $89. (They upped the price since my last call.) You can imagine my shock when the technician told me that the $89 covers the first 15 minutes. I paid $133.34 for one half hour diagnostic testing and to be told I need a new MBU which is on back order for at least 6 months!!! My recommendation is - NEVER BUY any Whirlpool product ever.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW5600XW - Bought the washer/dryer set on May 13, 2011. The dryer has not given me any trouble. The washer on the other hand has been awful! From the very beginning, I noticed the washer was not getting my familys clothes clean! If one of my children had gotten anything at all on their clothes, I would have to wash about 5 items of clothing to even have a chance to get it clean! Doing this did not always work! I usually send my really dirty clothes to my mother for her to wash in her old style washing machine with an actual agitator! They always came out clean when she washed them! Also, please do not attempt to wash comforters, sheets or any bedding in this washing machine. It does not clean them! When you take them out, they smell worse than when you washed them and have wet and dry spots all over! Oh, and they are still dirty! It is now May 8, 2013 and my washing machine does not wash or agitate anymore! I called Whirlpool and they can only offer 2 options. A repairman for Whirlpool in my area will come out for $129 to diagnose what is wrong. This price does not include parts or labor! My other option is a flat $300 where this will pay for everything along with a 1 year extended warranty. So with the $300 option, this will put me paying about $1,000 for my washing machine! This is ridiculous. My washing machine is only 2 years old. I should not have to be repairing already! Do not buy this washing machine. If you do, definitely purchase the extended warranty and be ready to use it!

Our Whirlpool water heater needs a burner assembly replaced. Second time within the warranty period of six years. Parts have to be ordered, so you will be without hot water for several days to a week. The worst part is reaching them. Between my wife and I, we have almost 4 hours invested in sitting on hold waiting for someone in three different calls. They never answer the phone. They give an option to call back. They never call back. Im so frustrated. No Whirlpool products ever again. Im sitting at my desk, hoping someone will eventually answer the Whirlpool line. I dont even have the part ordered yet after two days of no hot water. Who knows how many more hours I will need to sit here and listen to this music on hold. It is incredible in 2021 a company can remain open while offering this kind of customer experience.

Whirlpool duet - I have had this machine for 4 years and have gone through as many door gaskets. They rip in no time causing damage to clothing and with the leaking damaging my wood floors. A definite do not buy!!!

My wife and I went and bought a new Whirlpool 27 cubic foot French door fridge model WRF767SDEMO1 in 3-13-17 from Lowes and I have all the paperwork. And on Monday the May-28-2018 it stopped making ice, so I called a repairman and he came out May-31-2018 and he said it was leaking gas and it cannot be FIXED and it is JUNK. He told me to, Call Whirlpool and tell them you want a new one. I called Whirlpool and they are sending one of their repairmen out June -5- 2018 to check it and by that time I will lose everything in the fridge because it stopped working.

I have a new Duet Washer and it is a nightmare. It keeps throwing the same F8 E1 code. The repair people have replaced five parts and been out four times. I feel like I have been scammed out of $900. I will never purchase a Whirlpool again ever!

Purchased Whirlpool side by side French door with bottom freeze on 2-18-13. After several repair calls it was replaced with new one on 7-09-13. Problems began almost immediately with water dripping inside door, resting of doors, and finally the freezer stopped working and the appliance would not shut off. Pm 3-14-15 a new compressor was installed. Two months later, the same issues are occurring. Freezer not working, and not shutting off. Waiting for a resolution. Would never buy another Whirlpool appliance.

Had washer for 5 months. It now has a door latch error. It has been 3 weeks and it is still not repaired. Parts take a week to 10 days to get. We are now going back and trying the original part ordered. Not sure if this will fix it this time, as it didnt the first time, but we have no choice. Whirlpool will not stand behind their product and give us a replacement and for good reason, it is obviously junk and we will have the same issues in 5 months. Calling their help line is a waste of time, they understand your frustration but do nothing to help relieve it. Their supervisors have the ability to do nothing and excel at it. Thought this was a good product when we bought it but are now suffering for this decision.

we bought a hotwater heater and it gets scalding hot set on the low setting, we had the gas valve replaced by a@e paid for by whirlpool. It still gets above 125 degrees,set on vacation with me using it all during the day.I have contacted them several times, they told me to let the hotwater run about 10 minutes everyday, or just turn the heater off and let it cool off. I bought a water heater to use not light the pilot everytime I need hot water.

Refrigerator was purchased in March 2015. Icemaker filled the basket two times then never worked properly again. The water would enter the tray, freeze, but never drop the cubes. In order to drop the cubes, we had to unplug the refrigerator for a moment then we would have those few cubes. We used one service company sent by Whirlpool that came 3 times, adjusted temp, and replaced one electrical part. It didnt work. The repairman was going to call for support from Whirlpool to see if anyone else had had this problem. I didnt hear back from him until I called him 1 1/2 weeks later. He basically said there was nothing else he could do. Whirlpool sent out another service company. He replaced 2 electrical parts. They didnt work. We have no choice but to keep having service men come out and try to repair the refrigerator. What happens when the warranty has expired? They are trying to sell me an extended warranty. Give me a break. It would be nice to have a working refrigerator first. I wish I would have read these reviews before I ever bought a Whirlpool. Im 78 and Im still learning. Never again, Whirlpool. Ill spread the news as well because we all work too hard for our money to throw it away on poor products.

Purchased this electric range Maytag model YMES8800FZ1 in September 2017. Thought it was just like my old range with self cleaning mode. Beware! Do Not buy this or anything with this new AquaLift self clean technology. That means youre down on your hands and knées, scrubbing. It doesn’t work. Read all the reviews about this new technology. Salesman never informed us. We innocently bought the range with self cleaning, paid lots of money, for crap! Very upset. Will spread the word for all future buyers, pay attention to the self clean mode on what youre buying, cause no one will tell you. Now trying to reach Maytag, but apparently they don’t care.

We purchased a number of Whirlpool appliances (dishwasher, double door refrigerator, Duet stackable washer and dryer). After 14 months, the ice maker broke. $200 later, it was repaired with an upgraded kit.Last week, the washer error coded and the door locked so we could not get out the wet clothes. Called customer (no) service and they advised that we needed to call a service tech because he has a special tool to unlock the door. I stopped by our local appliance store and the counter person told me how to open the door. Had the tech come out for $70 and it could be the lock mechanism or the control panel. It turns out to be the control panel, which costs $250 + labor and would total to around $500, give or take a little. We are in our 60s, my wife does not take in laundry and the ice dispenser was seldom used because I can sneeze ice faster than this can dispense it so I open the freezer door to get my ice.The tech and the store clerk said that these were common problems with these machines. This was a major expense when purchased. So far, the dish washer has not had any problems, but tonight might be the night. The reason we bought Whirlpool is because of the Maytag connection, now that is in the same toilet.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW8500DC0 - 2 months out of warranty, 14 months old. Motherboard fried. $300 if I do it myself. $550 to have it done. The unit was $780 on sale. Brand new piece of junk. Zero stars but thats not an option. Quite honestly, it doesnt clean very well and it doesnt rinse very well so we have to rinse twice to get the smell out if we use bleach. So whats the sense in buying a high efficiency washer? I work outdoors and weve had cheap washers in the past that clean much better and lasted many years.

My double ovens were locked and I could not open them. A repair man came, undid the latch, but did not have the replacement part. He ordered it and came back two weeks later to replace the latch. I paid the required $159.00 for the service call. In the meantime, I could use the bottom oven without any problem. He replaced the latch and discovered it was defective. In removing it, he damaged the ribbon in the control panel. He came back and put in a new latch, but now neither of the ovens would work because the control panel was inoperative. An attempt was made to order the control panel, but the control panel is no longer made. Instead, an attempt was made to repair the control panel. This took 4 weeks, and meant that I did not have an oven for Thanksgiving and had to totally rearrange my plans. Now I am told that the panel is not fixable and the best they can do is offer me a prorate on a new oven in which I would be charged $1374.00. I find this outrageous. Except for the latch, an easily repaired mechanical problem, the ovens were in excellent working order. Now I am being told that due to the problem caused by their repair person, I must pay $1374.00. I spoke to Stephen **, their customer service supervisor, who said that I have no further recourse with the company and there is no one else I can speak to regarding this problem.

We purchased a 4.8 Cu FT High Efficiency Front Load Washer in February of 2016. What a nightmare. Just a few months after having it, we kept getting an E3 error message that would not go away. After 2 weeks of waiting before a tech could come out there replaced a door mechanism said it would be fine. After the next wash same thing, same problem. Could not even open the door to get my laundry out. Again they could not get a tech out for at least 2 weeks so Im stuck with the cost of getting my laundry done elsewhere. This time it was the motherboard. Had to wait a week for that to be shipped out. This was all completed in June 2016. We are now the beginning of September and same problem. Again we are told at least 1-2 weeks to get a tech out. Seriously Whirlpool, we are your customer. I have a family and we need to wash our clothes. We spent $1200 on this machine only to have to take our laundry to a public laundry mat because your machine keeps breaking down. They will not replace the machine even though this is the 3rd time with the same problem. The customer service is horrible. They are not willing to help in any way to get this fixed much sooner for her or give us a new machine. This one is obviously a lemon! I will never purchase any Whirlpool appliance again and I suggest based on some of the reviews on here no one does. Next appliance I buy I will do more research for sure.

I hate hate hate this Whirlpool Washer WTW5000DW1! To put it nicely. This is my first washer without traditional agitator and the sensing feature. I will never again buy a High Efficiency Washer with these features. It constantly gets stuck on sensing! We rearrange the load over and over and it still does not want to work. I have researched the online videos and this is a common problem. I wish I had researched prior to buying this type of machine.

I purchased a Whirlpool washer and dryer from Best Buy. I purchased one on sale that was a great value. The delivery and set-up went well. However, the model I have had a loud vibrate. The drum in the washing machine would wobble and shake across the floor. I finally had to return it and replaced with same model. I experienced the same issue after 30 days. I didnt take the insurance out and I regret that move.

This is a Whirlpool dishwasher that has been functioning for 25 years! Much better than any of my 4 newer appliances. It has never had a problem. It is easy to load and unload. The dishes are always clean. Dread getting a new one.

We bought a Whirlpool washer and dryer set (Cabrio WED7300XWO) 2 years ago. Within that time, the door seal fell off and needed to be replaced. The drive belt pulley became detached, and now the drum seal has fallen out and had wrapped into the clothes. I have never experienced such a substandard product. We would trade back this one for our 15-year old set we had replaced it with at the drop of a hat. We are retired and have a summer home, and only use this product 4-5 months a year. Never again, Whirlpool!

Just like a lot of other people, I bought a Whirlpool hot water tank because of the good name. And just like the other people, my tanks pilot light will not stay on, it will be on for a few days and then you get up and no hot water.

After years, the gas hot water heater model fg1f5040t3nov went out. The plumber had me get a new part. 2-3 weeks ago, it went out again. I am trying another new igniter assembly. If it goes again, Im getting a new heater - not a Whirlpool! My plumber says he can get me a new one for a little more than I spent on the Whirlpool, and its much more dependable.

In May of 2010, my husband and I purchased a Cabrio washing machine. By the fall of 2010, I had put in a call to Whirlpool due to the washing machine chewing holes into clothing and not cleaning the clothes. Some of the clothes would come out of the washing machine with dry spots on them. Whirlpool sent out two different servicemen and even though one of them replaced the agitator we have still had problems with it. One of the servicemen even tried to tell me it wasnt the machine but it was my detergent (I use HE Purex dye free). I was told by a service rep at Whirlpool that there was nothing more they could do and I would just have to deal with it. I understand that products go faulty but with good customer service these issues could be resolved. Whirlpool obviously has little regard for their customers. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. Hopefully they can get results.

I purchased Whirlpool gas range. After approximately 1 year, it has repeated problems with oven failing to maintain temperature. The unit would remain on, with the bake on still showing. But the temperature would decrease to the point of not cooking the food. If you turned the oven off and then back on, it would preheat again and resume baking, only to kick back off again later (again, with the bake still on).

1st item - ice pooling at bottom of freezer, now repaired at a cost of $100. 2nd item - 1 day later fridge/freezer keeps shutting off and on irregularly. Cant contact anyone one from Whirlpool on a weekend and Trail Appliances doesnt have anyone available to come and look at it and if they did it would cost us another $100+ with no guarantee and we were told by Trail the Whirlpool will not touch it if someone else does. From what I have read seems we now a victim of Whirlpool. P.s. for those who dont know yet Whirlpool not only now owns Bastemp, they also are the makers of Kenmore and those fridges have experience the same ice issues.

I absolutely hate this washing machine. When I bought it a couple of years ago I thought it would be great for large items... NOT! It leaves white residue on dark colors but the MOST important issue is going off balance. The lid stays locked and you have to start the cycle from the beginning... What a waste!!! Never again will I get a Whirlpool.

The most recent supervisor I spoke w is Niki id# **. She said that the machine washes but is not supposed to clean clothes. I am getting blown off and aggravated. I filed a complaint with BBB that went nowhere. Someone from the corporate office named Amanda called me and told me she would look into it and a week and a half later, not return my call. I had to track her down for her to tell me she can do nothing! The hold times are always extended. I have a pile of ruined clothes and a pile that I am attempting to hand wash. I am beyond frustrated and need a machine that will wash my clothes. I am not in the 1800s. I should not be hand washing when I paid hundreds of dollars for this useless machine. Purchased a Whirlpool double oven (WGE745COFH) in September 2018. It is now May 2019. After 5 service technicians verified the erratic temperature fluctuations in the ovens, Whirlpool insists that a +25 degree to -25 degree fluctuation in a heating cycle is normal. The motherboard was changed 3 times, and the sensors were changed 3 times, including hard-wiring the last set of sensors. I called Whirlpool and customer service says that is normal. Ever tried baking at a 350 degree setting that fluctuates from 375 degrees down to 312 degrees while trying to maintain a 350 degree setting? I understand there has to be some fluctuation, but either it took a lot of extra time or burned my food consistently. Ridiculous.So, with the help of wonderful people at Lowes (where I purchased the double oven) Whirlpool is refunding my money and Lowes has taken back the slide-in double oven. In my quest to replace it, multiple appliance sellers have told me that all the new ovens having motherboards and sensors have big fluctuations in the oven heating cycles. I find that unacceptable. My husband and other family members have worked daily in an industry where temperatures were critical. They used ovens that could maintain temperature within 5 degrees of set temperature with analog controls. The home consumers are being ripped off with cheap, sub-standard parts making throw away appliances and getting away with it. What do I buy? Havent figured that out yet, but have purchased a countertop toaster oven that bakes beautifully.

We purchased a gas range (Whirlpool AccuBake model # mfgxfg361lvt1 serial ry1810956) a few years ago and have been very unhappy with the gray grids that it came with. We wrote to you about how we should clean them and you recommended heavy-duty degreaser, pin31552a and gas grate & grill cleaner, pin3167a, which we purchased. Neither worked, even with heavy elbow grease. We are very upset. We have purchased Whirlpool products all of our life and would like an answer or some type of explanation. If possible, can we get the grids in black? We try our best to keep these things clean and this is a very bad patten.

We purchased our Duet in July 2010. It worked great until two weeks ago when the washer sounded like a 40-year-old washer. The bearing sounds like an extremely high-pitched “wrr”. We can hear it in the back of the house. I looked online to get parts and noticed that you cannot replace the bearing. You must replace the entire rear drum ($358.00). This does not include the labor. I talked with a technician, and they said the whole drum must be removed, not a one-man job, and to take the whole thing apart. Now, theres no price for installation. Lets go low ($200.00). Probably more. I cannot get a price nailed down without a visit. Now add those together ($558.00), I could put almost $600.00 into a washer that this could happen to in another 2 years. Wow.We had a washer that lasted us 15 years without any parts. We purchased our basic Whirlpool refrigerator model # WRT318FZDM05 from Lowes on September 13, 2019. We bought one of the more basic models available because we have owned higher end fancier refrigerators which have had multiple problems and not worked. So this is the 18.2 cubic feet top freezer model. About six weeks after owning it (conveniently just past the 30 day return window at Lowes!) we began to notice that our freezer wasnt freezing properly or making enough ice. There is only one control panel in this basic fridge so we turned it up. While this cranked up the freezer, the refrigerator compartment began to freeze its contents. So we had to choose between soft serve ice cream and refrigerated eggs and milk or hard serve ice cream and frozen eggs and milk! Finally after the holidays the certified Whirlpool appliance technician came out and recommended a repair with replacement of start device and control board. His report: Freezer not freezing, found the compressor turning on and off. The refrigerator was not even 4 months off the floor and the problem began when it was only 2 months old! When you call the Whirlpool number heres what they say: Welcome to the Whirlpool customer exp. For over a century weve believed in everyday care. Lets see how we can care for you today.Well, when someone calls with a very recently purchased refrigerator whose START DEVICE and CONTROL BOARD no longer work properly that person should be able to return the defective appliance and get a new one. Nope. Not with the Whirlpool experience. You are told that youll have to wait and see if those devices which are ten days away from being replaced in your new refrigerator will fix the problem. So basically NO do not buy from Whirlpool. Turns out a century of everyday care (??) hasnt taught them much about how in this century people need a refrigerator that works everyday!!!!

Chris from Whirlpool contacted me the same day that I filed my complaint. He offered to replace our water heater at no charge. We will pick up our new water heater this weekend and install it. Hopefully, it is designed better than our current water heater.

My dishwasher is very basic with no extra amenities, more features like an area on the rack that would wash the inside of small opening glasses and jars and I do not like the way my silverware holder just balances on the front of the bottom rack and does not attach to where it doesnt fall off every time its bumped.

I purchased my Whirlpool washer and dryer Cabrio Platinum model in September of 2014 from Lowes and have never been so disappointed in a washer in my life. Not only was it the most expensive washer and dryer set I have ever purchased but it is the absolute worst in performance. It has destroyed most of my clothes and linens, doesnt get them as clean as my former Samsung front-loader, and is constantly twisting up the clothes, getting out of balance and requiring me to adjust the clothes once or twice during each wash cycle. On recent research, I have found that I am not the only one experiencing these problems. Whirlpool should RECALL this series entirely! And I intend to post this review every place I can to prevent future sales of this horrible product.

I bought new townhome on 2018, in 6 months the top drawer broken, because stuck, after one year passed from the one year warranty start freezing all my groceries, milk, fruits. I turned off many times, not fixed. I am surprised paying so much money for appliances and turned out so cheap products and last only one year!? Older fridge last 10-15 years!! Companies ripping off people pockets. Very unhappy about this. Now services technician coming we have to pay for ....

My Whirlpool range, was purchased 14 years ago. It was fine until 2 months ago. I was preparing a meal for a dinner party and the oven went from low baking into Clean mode. (This cant be done by accident, it is many step process to go into clean mode) Locking the door! When I realized what was happening I immediately turned the breaker off but we still could not open the range door. Since the oven had my potato casserole and my Teflon coated cookie sheets inside it started to emit a toxic smell choking all of us inside the house. The unit was too hot to touch so my husband and brother-in-law finally donned gloves and got the range outside. I called Whirlpool the next morning and got the run around as to what type of range it was Kenmore/Whirlpool. Whirlpool finally sent someone out to look at the range and their determination was it caught on fire and melted! The company will not do anything about the unit or all the damage it cause because the range is over 10 years old. But they did not tell me this until I had spent weeks getting estimates and gathering information for them. I TOLD THEM DURING THE INITIAL CALL THE RANGE WAS 14 YEARS OLD. I TOLD THEM THE EXACT DATE IT WAS PURCHASED. Whirlpool sent me a letter from their Claims Resolution Department saying my DISHWASHER will not be covered and misspelling my last name. I have tried to call the person ** at least 25 times and she never answers the phone, only get her voicemail. I just wanted to tell them I was a little concerned about their accuracy with the typing of the name and product..... How complete could the investigation have been if they didnt even get the product correct.The smoke/smell ruined my microwave and ceiling fan. We had to paint the ceiling, redo wallpaper and professionally clean all the carpets and drapes on my first floor (we had just remodeled our kitchen last May so this was an expensive redo not in the budget. Not to mention the cost of a new range). I will NEVER buy a Whirlpool again. And I want to spread the word about the possibility of your range having the same problem.

I have always used Whirlpool washers and dryers. There are many models to choose from to meet a families needs. I can only remember one time when I had to replace an operating part to improve performance.

We bought 2 Whirlpool refrigerators for our new home 5 years ago. The first ice maker died 2 years ago at 3 years old. The second has now died this month. We called the repairman in who told us that Whirlpool knew there was a problem with their ice makers, but because they did not cause fires, they were not recalled. We paid $480 later for items that should last at least 10 years, not 3-5 years. We will never purchase another Whirlpool appliance and neither will any our family. A company with this level of ethical behavior that knows they have a faulty piece of equipment and just chooses to do nothing does not warrant my business.
