I hate the thing. The grates are way too large, they are too heavy, and the fact the high is not a true high and the other three are different temperatures. The oven is awful. It half cooks. You cannot do decent canning on the thing because you only have one burner. This is a mess from the get go. Why in the hell do companies think everything has to have a computer attached to it? Computers and heat do NOT mix for Gods sake. A simple gas stove is sufficient to cook with. Take the computerized junk off and make a normal stove.

I just bought a house that has one of these ranges, and it was getting the F2 message. I found the problem. There is NO ventilation behind the electronic control so when the oven heats up, the control board gets too hot and throws the F2 code. That would indicate a bad temp sensor or bad board, but really its the heat shield on the back. Ive removed the metal plate from behind the control panel and it works fine now. Im considering drilling some vent holes and adding some insulation behind the control.

This is our second Whirlpool refrigerator that has the same defrost water drainage problem. I was told this newer model had updated technology, not so, actually it is worse. My older refrigerator went about 8 years before I started noticing water on the floor and this newer model is 4 years old and it started having water overflow at 3 1/2 years. Then in April we replaced the water filter and the ice-maker stopped working. My freezer also stinks like stale water (my reason for replacing the old refrigerator plus the water on the floor). I followed a YouTube video for defrosting the drainpipe, it was very tedious, labor intensive, and time consuming and worked for 3 weeks. This is very upsetting. After spending $2500 to have such problems and my expensive $150 4-year extended warranty expired just weeks before the ice-maker went out. This is obviously a design problem that Whirlpool refuses to address since my other model was a year 2000 model and my 2013 has the exact same problem. VERY POOR customer care in addressing these design failures of both the defrost drainage (just make a larger drain port!!!) and the ice-maker.

The home I bought a few years ago, had brand new Whirlpool appliances. The oven and range, work great, although it does take my oven seems like a long time to get to temperature. The size of the oven is great, has plenty of room to cook lots and/or large amounts. The range, works really good too. Its a glass top range. The glass is very durable, I find it does not scratch easily. Cleans up well by just using a good glass top cleaner. I do have one of the burners, does make a little noise if used but 4 years in, no issues out of the range or oven.

The door handle is cracking on my Whirlpool microwave. This is a poor experience with Sears. My original door was smoked up from a kitchen fire. I replaced the door and handle in June. My boyfriend does all the cooking, so I did not notice the handle until November. It is cracking on the side. We contacted Sears, and they said it was past the warranty. This problem is due to a defective product. I have seen several similar complaints online.

I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio in November 2009. I am just four months shy of the two-year mark and it is dead! I paid a lot for the machine because I thought it was worth the investment. It was not mistreated in any way! The problem is in the computer part of the machine.Everyone knows that to have a repair person come out is costly in itself, add to that repairs and parts, and it isnt worth it to fix an appliance most of the time. I will never purchase Whirlpool again. Never. I could have bought three cheap machines for this one Whirlpool, and had a couple of backups in the event that one quit on me! Now I have a fancy washer and a mountain of laundry! Thanks, Whirlpool.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator water filter from the Marcone distributor. This distributor, whose name I received from calling the 800 number in your manual, did not send instructions on installation. I called Whirlpool and they did not have instructions on installation. The product is 4392949. In talking with your customer service department filters, I learned that the young man knew nothing about filters. He told me that the filter that I purchased was the wrong one. Its interesting that he tried to convince me without knowing my refrigerator model number. I asked if he wanted the model number and he said, yes, please. It was very sad how I had to do a song and dance with an idiot. I had no help from your company. I will return this water filter because I was not provided instructions for installation. Neither can your people produce them. For this reason, I will never purchase Whirlpool again.

Please contact me if a class action Lawsuit has been filed for I am one of those who spent close to 3,000.00 for a lemon and to get the runaround. I spent every penny I earned to buy a long lasting fridge (Whirlpool Gold Series) only to have a headache ever since I bought it. Only owning a year the freezer went out, yes I had to endure the loud noise, no ice. Then the thing would spoil my milk and ham making my stomach to be sick. The temp is 60•. The people that Whirlpool sends out are in cahoots. Told me my compressor is out and I just heard it kick on. We are currently using refrigerator we brought out of the travel trailer kitchen because this thing sucked out all my money.

The website lists DISCONTINUED fridges. Called their RUDE rep and found out only can get a Smaller, stainless steel ONLY refrigerator. So is that how they work, sell crappy refrigerators and then replace with a lesser refrigerator, which most likely will break down too. SHAME ON WHIRLPOOL. Or is it DEADPOOL. Your reputation is shot. We have done everything imaginable to try to repair it. Every time I call Whirlpool, I get the same reply. They email me some instructions on how to repair this piece of crap. I dont understand how they can make a product that they do not stand behind. Whirlpool use to be a reputable company, not anymore! I will never buy another Whirlpool product ever! And I will tell everyone that I come in contact with not to buy from them either. I am also considering filing a lawsuit against them for making such junk! Do not buy Whirlpool water heater.

We bought the Cabrio washer and dryer on June 2008, and it wasnt very long after that, that we had to have a repair done. Then, it started twisting the clothes and the sheets into a big knot. Two king size sheets and 2 pillow cases got so twisted that they are no bigger than a watermelon, and believe me, they are very hard to untangle when they are soaking wet. The machine in the drying cycle sounds like a commercial jet taking off. We can hardly talk above the roar of that thing. I hate it with a passion. Whirlpool WRF 990SLAM00 - Im 62, I have owned, and my family has owned a number of refrigerators and never have had any problems. I have been used to my refrigerators and major appliances lasting 15 plus years without any problems. I mostly bought Maytag washers and GE kitchen appliances. I had trouble with a GE dishwasher, out of warranty, but GE was very nice about it and came out and fixed it at no charge, then replaced it for free when it failed again. (No new problems in 4 yrs.). Then I made the big mistake of going with Whirlpool products in my new house in Florida, where I live half the year. What a mistake. First there was the Cabrio washer. After 1 yr and a week, It would not go to the spin cycle. I called Whirlpool, they said, Sorry, out of warranty. I told them, I only live in this place for half the year, so I have hardly used the machine. The Whirlpool person said, Sorry out of warranty. I asked for a supervisor and they were worse than the first person. The attitude was screw you, you should have bought the extended warranty. I called a repairman who fixed it for 150 dollars. During the spin cycle it gets really loud, but at least it works. Then the refrigerator. I arrived back in FL and the 1.5 year old refrigerator was not cooling. I called Whirlpool and said I needed a repairman. They said, Out of warranty, you can buy an extended warranty for 345 dollars. I said, No, a refrigerator should not fail at 1.5 years, send a repair man. He was great, but said the unit had a Freon leak somewhere in the box that was un-repairable. He told me, You need a new refrigerator. I will now call Whirlpool and see what they will do for me, but I expect little based on my experience with the washer, and others comments above. I will go back to all GE products after this as at least they seem to stand behind their products. Oh, and since Whirlpool now owns Maytag, as Whirlpool owns them now. Sad.

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio top loader set in 2006. Honeymoon was over after the first year and I had to change the dryer element then the washer with the F51 code six months later. Last year, I had to replace the heating element again! For the last six months, I have been dealing with the dreaded UL on the washer. I cant afford to pay a technician $100 to come out and tell me whats wrong let alone what they will charge to repair a problem that, from the looks of this message board, will never be fixed. I have no choice but to get it fixed in order to sell the ** machine. I paid $1400 for this brand new set and have already invested $500 in repairs. How is this possible? I had a 20-year-old machine prior to this and never had an issue. There are lemon laws for cars, why arent there any for appliances over a certain amount? How in this day and age can a company be allowed to sell such garbage? I will never, ever buy another Whirlpool appliance as long as I live. Any other brand can have my money any day.

Could not get to heating element as it covered. Shut the door and turned the oven off so the fire would die out. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I was baking pecan pie. Whirlpool is no longer a quality brand. Washing machine bought at the same time has been repaired twice since owning. Also, Aqualift technology is a joke. It doesnt remove any messes burned during cooking. I wish Id stayed away from this complaint. Bought a stove, washer, and dryer. Dryer has been the only appliance we havent had a problem with. We saved over a year to ripped off by Whirlpool. I expected a washer and stove to last far longer than 3 years. Actually would be 3 yrs come December. So disappointed.

We bought our Duet washer in 2007 with a three-year warranty. In 2010, the washer started banging so we called it in for repair. It was determined that the bearing on the drum was bad, so the entire drum assembly was replaced because the poor design of integrating the bearing into the drum. Almost one year to the day, our washer started banging again. The washer is no longer under warranty. We were told the parts are around $400 plus and another $400 for labor. The repairman was from the store we bought the washer and he is a certified Whirlpool repairman. He related to us that this is a very common occurrence for Whirlpool washers because they are using cheap foreign made bearings. He services this problem on a weekly basis and Whirlpool will not do a recall because unless it is a safety hazard, it is not a concern to them if consumers have to pay out the nose for cheaply made parts. This repairman informed us that during training at a Whirlpool class, he learned that on the main board of the washers, they could put a 2 cent lamp that would indicate a bad board which would simplify diagnosis, expedite repair and reduce service time, but Whirlpool wont do it because it isnt cost effective. The repairman told us that we can call customer service until we are blue in the face, but Whirlpool wont give a ** because it is out of warranty. He sees this happen all the time with Whirlpool. My wife called Whirlpool Customer Service just to be told we are ** even though the cheap, crappy bearing that went bad was done under warranty, a year earlier.Well Whirlpool, I guess you lost another customer who will make sure that you lose a lot more customers. We are going to take our business elsewhere and we will make sure all our family, friends, neighbors and coworkers know how bad your customer service and poor attitude is toward consumers. If you cant back your products when you put cheap foreign garbage parts in your product, then you need to lose business and get out of the market.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Top Loader High-Efficiency Machine on March 20, 2013. 14 months later, it failed. When I called customer service I was informed the 1 year warranty had expired (I knew this already) and that all they could offer me was a $319 extended warranty to fix machine and guarantee covered future repairs. Luckily, I had the machine repaired at no cost to me after complaining to the sales people I bought the machine from the year earlier. They contacted their Whirlpool representative who had the repair covered. Now, 3 years and 11 days after purchasing it, it failed again. This time the machine would no longer spin out the water. Whirlpool offered nothing more than to give the website and special code for a discount on a new machine. After some haggling, they agreed to pay for 50% of the parts only, no labor. I argued this machine must be a lemon, as they have told me theyve heard no prior issues with this machine and that it would be reasonable to replace this machine. They refused any further assistance. So I threw this piece of junk away and instead, for $185, bought a simple rebuilt 15 year old Maytag washer with agitator, direct drive. Just a couple of knobs. No computer, fancy bells and whistles. I can say with absolute certainty that I will never purchase a Whirlpool product ever again. I also believe these machines are no longer meant to last like old washers (and dryers) used to.

I have a similar problem with my stainless steel Whirlpool bottom freezer refrigerator, model EB9FVHRWS01, purchased in May 2011 from Sears Canada. Exactly a year later, right after the warranty expired, I started getting ice forming on the floor under the bottom freezer. I have been cleaning it out on a weekly basis for the past just over a year. If I dont clean it out, then water seeps out onto the floor. I purchased an extended warranty for my new stove but didnt for my fridge.A co-worker had the exact same problem, with ice forming on the bottom freezer exactly a year later. He purchased the extended warranty and had the Sears repairman come in and replace a $50 part (box in back) ($150 labour). The repairman said this is a manufacturers defect in these fridges and theyve had many such cases. Apparently, the box in the back freezes up and water cant drain to where its supposed to go to be evaporated so it drips to the bottom of the freezer. I contacted Whirlpool and inquired, and they said there was no defect or noted problems with my model. Now Im contemplating whether or not I should spend the $200 and get the defective part replaced. Sigh.

11 months after purchasing my Whirlpool 40 Gal Gas Water Heater N40T61-343 I woke to cold water one morning and found the LED flashing 4 times - high temperature shutdown. Unable to find any reset I called Whirlpool and after a couple questions, was sent a replacement control unit. Happily it arrived 2 days later. I was told then that it was because I had residue in the tank. I had no idea how he determined that because none of his questions even touched on that. Anyway, I had hot water.Nearly a year later now to the day and again I have no hot water. This time the pilot burns very weakly when I try to light it and then goes out. After three attempts I get 7 flashes on the LED - Gas Control Valve Failure, part of the same unit I replaced a year ago. Am calling tomorrow since its too late to go through any tech support steps over the phone that Im reading about on this site and seeing on Youtube. Honestly, I didnt replace the last heater because I had nothing better to do than replace parts on this one annually. No, I will not purchase another Whirlpool unit especially after reading all of the similar if not identical issues others are having.

Whirlpool Cabrio 8kg washing machine - Purchased this washing machine because of the size, water efficiency, no agitator. Have purchased Whirlpool products before and havent had a problem but this washing machine is absolutely a piece of garbage. At first our water bill was hugely excessive so tested the machine and it was using 269 litres per wash when it was only supposed to use 98 litre as stated on the machine. When doing 2 washes a day you can imagine the water bill we had. Lint on washing, continually out of balance no matter how much was in the wash. Had it fixed under warranty then just out of warranty. Water wouldnt turn off. Had to turn it on and off at the top lid. Could now be opened during washing cycle. Started turning itself on in the middle of the night and day. Had to unplug it to stop it, wont spin out clothes. Still sodden. After cycle finished with the lid open it would start to fill up with water again and going out of balance again. Had the appliance people out for the 4th time. Had to have the motherboard and a valve replaced. Its still leaving lint. Washing is not even getting wet so it cant possibly be cleaned. Contacted warranty people. They came out and said it is running as it should be but they advised us this is a common problem with this brand of washing machine. Personally I wish I could throw it away if I had another $900 to waste on another machine.

Whirlpool Dishwasher Model WDT7820PADMO was installed last October. Small parts began detaching themselves from the first day. Then machine leaked onto floor two weeks ago and I shut it down. As it was purchased from Sears, they and Whirlpool have batted responsibility for repairs back and forth until proof of extended warranty was supplied to Whirlpool. They then scheduled a repair job for a week later with an unqualified technician, who naturally refused the job. Upon callback, I was rescheduled for a day two weeks hence. As it turned out, the repairman would not be near my home on the appointment date. Luckily, I tried to move the appointment up, as the repair service said Whirlpool did not supply proof of the extended warranty. I saved five days waiting time by rescheduling, but have to supply proof of extended warranty yet again. All this for a dishwasher that takes three hours per load, and doesnt do a particularly good job of cleaning.

I had a 14-year-old 40-gallon tank that was working great but I decided it was time to get it replaced. I picked out a Whirlpool 400-gallon tank stated to be good for a family of 3 to 4 people. The unit wasnt designed for this. I told him the unit is advertised for a family of 3 to 4 and I have only 3. I asked where on the advertisement does it state 3 people cant take back-to-back showers? His response was, Where does it state you can? I asked his name and he would not give it to me. If 3 people cant take showers on a unit stated to be for a family of 3 to 4, something is wrong. Maybe it should be advertised as suitable for a family of 1. I will not buy a Whirlpool product again and I advise others to take my advice, go elsewhere.

I purchase a suite of Whirlpool Kitchen Appliances April 2017. My range is the slide in model. The knobs are on the front of the stove top. I 4 months in I saw that the paint behind the plastic panel where the knobs are was chipping. Also, the gasket in the oven had some loose threads so I finally decided to call the warranty. Whirlpool paid for the gasket to be replaced but Customer service said the chipping was cosmetic and that only covered for 30 days. I am so disappointed in this range and Whirlpool. My stove looks very used after 10 months. I followed the instructions on what to clean it with and how to clean so I know its not me. The paint chipping is crazy! How as consumers do we deal with this? This Range was a cost over $2000! and they give me touch-up paint!I purchased Whirlpool because I researched prior to purchasing my appliances. I thought I was buying Quality, this is not quality! At Christmas I had a pot of potatoes boil over and the element circle on the glass top cam off with cleaning. This too is not covered because its cosmetic. Ironically, my old glass top Whirlpool range did the same thing. That why I got a new one! I guess it still works. Who cares how it looks... RIGHT? Well, I WAS a good Whirlpool customer. Not anymore! Do not purchase Whirlpool glass top ranges unless you want it to look worn out after less than one year. I have tried to post pictures but this wont let me paste them!

Got the dreaded 4 flashes LED status - High Temperature Shutdown. Online and vendor documentation says that this condition requires gas valve unit replacement, a $115 option. If your Pilot remains burning, but main burner does not kick in, then a good guess is the circuit board requires a reset. Prior to any further work, test the Thermopile, that is the round item with two blades located below and to the right of the gas valve unit. Move knob on control panel to OFF1) Pull out plug with red and white wires located on front of gas control. 2) Have someone Hold in the control knob on the unit at Pilot, and make sure Pilot flame is burning. 3) Using a multi-meter, set it to millivolt reading, and test voltage across the two wires. Voltage should be greater than 350mV, preferably >500mV. 4) If you get a reading in that range, your Thermopile is good. Turn knob to off position. Do NOT uncouple gas lines. 5) Piezo Igniter wire comes apart, disconnect it. 6) Remove screw that holds front cover. (screw located bottom left as you look at the unit) 7)Cover simply pulls off directly towards you. 8)Remove the screw holding the circuit board to the cover, and remove circuit board by unclipping it - 3 clips, one either side and one at bottom. 9) Unplug the 3 strand thermostat cable, you should now have the circuit board clear. 10) Take a piece of aluminum foil, fold it twice, then lay circuit board on it facing up, do it on top of tank, want it grounded. 11)Using one of the multimeter probes, wrap a piece of foil around it, keeping point free, and ground it too. Then slowly work around the board, touching all the solder connections you see, as well as the chip legs. Pay particular attention to the round objects on the board (capacitors), make sure to ground out each of the solder points, visible either side. (takes about 5- 8 minutes, take your time) 12) Once done, reconnect thermostat cable to board, then reinstall board into cover (dont forget the screw)13) Place cover back into place, screw in cover screw, reattach Piezo wire and black electrical plug with thermopile wires. 14) set Knob to Pilot, get pilot lit (may take a few hits on the Piezo button) and while still holding the knob in, watch to see what LED flashes you get (there will be a 10 second time lapse before it will start to flash) 15) You should either get 1 flash or 7 flashes, that means the board is reset, now turn knob to warm, and see if main burner kicks in. Good luck, and for a half hours work you have saved yourself $$$. PS: If it occurs again, you have sediment build up, need to drain the tank.

Oh my goodness, are these people right with the Whirlpool Ranges. I moved and put in the appliance # to get what I had from Whirlpool. What a piece of crap I got in a range and refrigerator. Never had appliances that looked so pathetic. You cant clean the outsides or the insides. Outsides nothing but streaks never look shiny, I really do doubt they are even close to Stainless steel. My old ones I might add were less than 5 years old when we sold our house and all you had to do was spray with Windex and shine shine shine. Try that on the new ones streak streak streak, and nothing ticks me off more than looking in a kitchen and looks like pigs are running all over your stuff. Then the range aqua lift self clean. You have gotta be kidding. No self clean about it. Scrub Scrub Scrub by hand. You mean who in the hell came up with this. Make something with fat and instant burned mess. Really oil and water or grease and water where I come from they never mixed, and all they do is get gummy. Now if you dont care how your oven or outsides look then I guess it doesnt matter BUT I DO, I am with the guy that said he just wants to throw it out. I would have been better off buying a clean your own. At least you could use oven cleaner. I dont know where these companies are coming from ripping people off this bad, now that I am older I am stuck with it and can hardly clean it to get down in there. You make supper and you have to spend 2 hours extra in the kitchen scrubbing the damn thing. Of course you give a company loyalty and get screwed this bad. All my self cleaning ovens I had when we sold houses the people thought you never cooked in them. This is not even a year and a half old and looks like it is 10 years old. Even scrubbing it is a joke. You cant get it all anyway. Im sure I will not live with this long. I use to love to cook even did it for a living and man using this thing I hate cooking more than ever.

Weve had this washer for about 9 months now. We noticed that the loads being washed small or large werent coming out clean. When wash cycle finished items were covered in soap residue and or had large dry spots where water had never touched the area. When our sheets were washed in bulky/sheet cycle and deep water this happened. Maytag sent out repair person to find the water pump went bad, pump was replaced. After repair same bad washing results as stated previously. Maytag then sent out repair person for the second time. This time the main electrical board was replaced. Still after two repairs wash loads are still coming out dirty, soapy, dry in spots in any of the selected wash cycles large or small. Third call to Maytag and a third scheduled repair date coming up in a few day. Over the phone the Maytag employee only words of wisdom was, Did you buy the extended warranty. So unless there is a third failure I believe that this washer is just a poor design.

What a mistake. The eco-friendly Whirlpool washer designed to save energy doesnt clean close, my towels are the worse. Coming out of a shower and using a freshly washed towel to dry off and it smelling like it had never been washed tears it for me. Im hoping like many others they will rebate or even better recall and pay back the money I spent on a worthless washing machine! We have a Whirlpool double oven that is about 3 years old. Today we used the oven for lunch and about 2 hours later we heard a loud sound from the kitchen. When I went to see what had happened I found glass shards all over the kitchen, some as far as 10-12 feet away. The outside glass of the top oven was spider-webbed and had apparently exploded. Nothing had come into contact with the oven and nobody had been in the room with it for over an hour, it just randomly exploded. I am going to contact Whirlpool but judging by the other posts I dont expect much help from them.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer on 11/07/10. I brought it home, hooked it up, turned it on and water came pouring out the bottom. I should have known better then, but I took it back and got another one, same model. I dont even have it 2 years and its locked up. I had a repairman here and was told it needed a new water pump ($200 plus). There are 3 adults in my home so its not like I use it hard. I am really disgusted. This is the 3rd washer I bought from Whirlpool in less than 10 years. I went on the Whirlpool site and voiced my disappointment and my problems with their washers. I was told they take pride in their products and I should have a nice day. Yeah, right, they dont have to drag clothes up and down the stairs and then to a laundromat when theyre in their 50s with a bad knee and back. Yes, I will have a nice day when I get that piece of junk out of my house. I will never buy anything made by Whirlpool again.

My $700 Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine just broke after only 16 months of having it. The error code that comes up is f 51. With some research, I found that these machines are notorious for breaking down just after warranty with an f 1 code for older machines and an f 51 code for newer machines. Whirlpool is well aware of the breakdowns and the defect inherent in these machines and still sells them with no warning or no recall to fix the problem. I contacted the company and they refused to fix it for free and I understand the fix will now cost me another $300 to $400! What a scam! As soon as we bought our new microwave, I saw what appeared to be hair on the door. I tried to scratch it off but I could not so I wondered if it was a crack but I could not feel it. As time went by, many other lines appeared but I could not feel them, just see them. After a couple of months, I noticed the first crack could be felt and then soon after that I could feel the other cracks. The first crack goes from the glass to the edge of the door and is wide open and the door edge kind of just hangs there. There are now about 20 cracks and the door will most likely fall apart soon. I called Whirlpool and they lied and said there have been no complaints at all about their doors. I read them some of the names here on this site having the same problem and the best they can do is offer to sell me a new door for $180. I told them that their product was defective and need to be recalled or something and he again tried to send me to the parts department to sell me a $180 door. I told him if that is how Whirlpool treats their customers, I would no longer buy anything from them.

Latch broke after owning it for less than 2 years & now it no longer spins water out of clothes. All this & we havent even owned it 3 years. Whirlpool refrigerator Model #GX5FHDXVY010, freezer on bottom. Ice maker broke within six months of purchase. Made loud noises, would not function to freeze ice. Turned waterline off and now use ice trays like the old days. Shortly thereafter, second unrelated problem started. Drain line started backing up and runs into the bottom of the freezer floor where it freezes into a thin sheet of ice, and then runs onto the kitchen floor. Have had the line cleaned out over and over again. Have been buying fridges for 50 yrs. and have never had this problem. Whirlpool says call a repairman and pay to have it fixed, but it happens over and over again. Whirlpool should come up with a permanent fix and pay to have it fixed. Based on the numerous complaints of this problem, this model needs a recall now.

I purchased this piece of crap excuse for a washing machine, the Whirlpool Cabrio, almost 2 years ago, in September, 2015. Since that time I have had nothing but dissatisfaction about how it washes, and the extremely poor results. I contacted my sales associate early on, I was told, just like others who have purchased this machine, that it was a water-saving machine, and I needed to read the manual closely and just do what it said to do. I did that. Long story short, I am sick and tired of this machine, stopped using it, bought another machine that lets me choose how much water for each and every cycle, it washes extremely well, my clothes come out clean, it HAS AN AGITATOR, DIFFERENT BRAND, and I am very HAPPY with it! I will never ever buy a Whirlpool product again. I am well-known, have an extremely large number of friends, and I will be spreading the word that Whirlpool built a piece of crap. Never mind that piece of crap washing machine was mandated per government regulations to cut down on water, thats a bunch of crap. Users should not have to buy expensive cleaners, tote extra water to a washing machine that uses so little water that it barely covers the clothes, and no person should have to use a product like this. Never. Washed clothes from this machine stink, the odors will not leave my clothes, whites are now yellow, stained, and colors have white spots on them. Whirlpool, you have built this piece of crap, I hope you have large heapings of Karma! What a joke. What a useless company now, sell out and go play on the beach. You deserve the dirt, not your use-to-be-loyal customers.

I purchased an HIE washer one year ago this month. I have never been happy with the cleanliness of the clothes when they came out of the wash. The only way to get them moderately clean is to wash a few items at a time and even then the whites, especially socks, seem dingy. I noticed the new Whirlpool washers now have an extra setting to add more water to the machine, so the executives have realized there is a problem with the original model.I think Whirlpool should give all customers who previously purchased the models without this feature a trade-in option to get the newer model that fills with more water or for another model with the full spindle that has worked well for so many years. I have been very unhappy with the performance of this washer and would only hope the executives would do something to resolve this problem and satisfy previous customers.

Had them come out numerous times and last guy changed out entire motherboard to no avail. Freezer side freezes and then thaws. Now it is just a two sided refrigerator. Before Thanksgiving I was promised new refrigerator and none arrive after phone calls. No refrigerator for thanksgiving. None for Christmas. Finally today at 7:00 this evening January 17 2020 it arrives. I am suppose to be in bed. I have two terminal illnesses. I moved out boxes of stuff out of refrigerator. Installer came in and said I had to move stuff on the porch that they are not allowed to. I get all done, finally sit down and he comes in and says there’s a big ding in bottom of refrigerator. No idea when another refrigerator would come. Who is going to put all my furniture back? Who is going to put my food back in my refrigerator. I bought the entire Whirlpool package Made In America. I should have went cheaper and bought from China. Now there’s trouble with dishwasher and they have been out once already for that. I could worry about taking care of my health if I didn’t spend all my time dealing with whirlpool. Maybe they can bury me in the refrigerator and my daughter won’t have to buy a coffin. I make 1000 a month on disability and get 16 dollars in food stamps. I have thrown 1000s of dollars away after motherboard was fixed. I went and my friend helped and bought new groceries. One day took out a frozen burrito and as I was putting it in microwave I noticed it had mold all over it. Another food dump. Whirlpool pool answering phone says whirlpool cares. I have a two-year-old top of the line Whirlpool Duet Steam washer. Cleaning performance is adequate at best, but my biggest complaint is about the visible mold buildup that collects on the water dispensing plate as well as on the detergent, bleach and softener dispenser and rubber lining of the washer opening. I have cleaned the removable detergent dispenser weekly since purchasing. The water dispensing plate has a continuous buildup of thick black mold that can only be removed with a tooth brush and bleach and only a small portion of those openings are reachable. I have cleaned the machine with Affresh as recommended and exactly as the manufacturer recommends. Nothing changes! I contacted Whirlpool and was told this was normal for all washers in which some moisture always remains and that I should continue to clean and leave the door and dispenser drawer open to allow the areas to air dry. So, I have done all of those things for the past year and nothing has changed! I received notification that a class action suit had been filed against Whirlpool for this mold issue but have not been contacted in any other way. Not only is this mold visibly disgusting but certainly is worrisome from a health perspective. When I contacted the company a second time, I was told there was nothing that could be done and it was in no way a design flaw on the part of Whirlpool.

Before the first year was over, ice was forming on the inside roof of the refrigerator and the whole cooling system/grid needed to be replaced. My home warranty wont cover. It is a $400.00 repair to replace the circuit that attaches from the water filter. I called Whirlpool 2/14/2017 to complain about the product. I purchased new and installed my heater in 2003. SN: 0253109845, MN: EE3J50RD0454. I started removing and replacing or cleaning heating elements in 2011: pretty good service. In 2015 I noticed black and brown water coming from the hot water taps. I opened it again, cleaned it, and realized anode replacement was required. That is when trouble started.I tried everything usual including 4 foot cheater bar, heating the coupling, impact wrench, tapping with a hammer, etc. Finally found a 700 ft-lb. pneumatic impact wrench on sale at Harbor Freight. After serious wear and tear on my air compressor and about 1-1/2 hours of work with the impact wrench, I got it out. The threads were messed up some, but I did not look close. I had to put the 1-1/4 inch head back in to return it to service while I found and ordered an anode. Could not get one from Whirlpool and could not buy one in Lowes where I bought the heater. The surprise was when I cleaned the threads to put the head back in, I had to use almost as much time and torque to get it to stop leaking as I did when I took it out. Then, when I did try to install the new anode, it required to same effort. Conclusion, There was some kind of imperfection with the threads in the coupling that messed up the threads on the initial installation of the anode, which made it nearly impossible to remove. Whirlpools quality control stinks. The next one will NOT be Whirlpool.

Ive had the WDF510PAY dishwasher for 3 years and the circulation pump broke. To be more specific the impeller inside the circulation pump warped and then basically got lodged because it became oblong and then it wouldnt pump water to the spray arms etc. I bought a new pump because the warranty only last a year. The pump cost around 90 bucks. After not even 1 full year this factory replacement pump failed again. I reviewed other Whirlpool dishwashers more expensive and I found they all have this same junky circulation pump. Im not sure of a better dishwasher but I would never recommend a Whirlpool dishwasher again. They also use the same circulation pump in Maytag and many other brands. Whirlpool or whoever designed and sold this pump to Whirlpool should be tracked down and beaten. Simple products like dishwashers should last more than 3 years. The technology is nothing new. A product should last 10 years at least.

After 14 years of good service with Whirlpool Duet front load washer dryer
After 14 years of good service with Whirlpool Duet front load washer dryer set, wife chose Whirlpool kitchen appliances as part of a kitchen update project. All matching fridge, range, microwave hood and dishwasher. What a nightmare! The icemaker growls and whines all the time and the dishwasher was broken before being packaged at the manufacturer. A wheel from the middle rack was missing when the dishwasher was opened. It wasnt in the sealed dishwasher nor in the box. So it had to have been broken off before the item was boxed. We called for warranty claim and A-1 Appliance was recommended out of Shreveport, LA. In a few weeks he showed up, looked at the rack for a while and said Ill have to order a new part. I said fine. (How hard can that be? Right?) So here we are 5 months later, unable to use the middle rack because it cant hold any weight with the roller missing. Multiple calls to Whirlpool and A1 and we keep getting promises and runarounds that turn out to be lies. How hard is it to say go to your local Lowes and well authorize them to give to give you a rack from an in-stock dishwasher? Let Lowes wait on the new part! Sounds simple, and any other company would have done that, or told us to return it to Lowes for another one. But NO! Whirlpool just whines about being behind on parts, shorthanded, or lies about the part is in and its A1s problem now.So, today, same story. A1 says they need 2 parts. **! Its one part. Whirlpool says A1 has the needed part. Same old runaround. So, we just replaced our 14 year old washer and dryer with NON Whirlpool units. $2500 more in of appliances that Whirlpool could have gotten, but Im guessing they dont even care about missing and losing sells. They certainly do not care about warranty, parts, quality, customer satisfaction or repeat customers. Never again with Whirlpool! Beware!

55 Gal Electric New in 2003 / Limited Lifetime Warranty - I paid quite a bit more initially at Lowes for this unit. Its stainless lined. I have had numerous problems since purchase. I had to replace the sensing element in the Smart Box in 2006. Then the lights started flashing again making a humming sound in the box. I took each piece apart in smart box and cleaned them, which seemed to help. Then the upper element that is also stainless that requires a special wrench to replace went bad according to the blinking lights. Lights stopped after several resets. Now, the water is boiling out of the top of heater and they tell me its the seal in the element that I never replaced. The cover for the element is off. Water cannot possibly build up and force out the top of the cover of tank. I am not an idiot, yet they tell me that is most likely the problem. They didnt listen to me long enough to properly assess my concern. Every plumber I talk to says its the separation of the liner inside the heater. Nonetheless, I have a water problem now in the basement and have never heard back from Whirlpool as promised with troubleshooting guide on an email. I am sick of calling and getting the runaround with every issue. The warranty is horrible for the consumer. Sure, you have a limited lifetime warranty, but when you cant get proper information when you need it, what good is it? Made in America is why I bought the product. I also need a new washer but will not be searching in the Whirlpool line due to their lack of care with an important issue with my heater.

Model WRS586FIEMO1, Serial # HR50801958. In December ice maker stopped dispensing due to cubes melting and clogging around the auger. After 3 service calls a new door was ordered with a delivery time of 4 o 6 weeks. Have spoken to and e-mailed several customer service people and am told it will be another 4 to 6 weeks. This has happened at least 3 times. In the meantime I must empty and clean the ice bin and surroundings every night or it freezes up and cannot be removed at all. Finally told them I no longer want a new door, I want a different model fridge. Was told they do not replace, only repair. It is now April and they have done neither. They did extend my warranty until December but at this rate that too will run out. Would never buy another Whirlpool appliance or any of the other brands that manufacture.

Whirlpool Refrigerator Model # GI6SARXXF 04 Ice Maker - About nine months after purchasing this unit the ice maker began to stop working. I researched what the issue might be. During this time, the ice maker decided to begin working again. This occurred again about 15 months into ownership. At 19 months into ownership, the ice maker no longer works after approximately 5 weeks. Whirlpool will not allow me to purchase an extended warranty. I was told by a CR on the phone. However, she did offer a Repair +1 service contract that cost $345.55. I advised the CR that on the Whirlpool website, I was offered an extended warranty for 2 years for approximately $165.00. After waiting for her to check into my claim of being offered the extended warranty for about 10 minutes, she came back to advise me that no existing issues would be covered. In other words, my $2000.00+ Whirlpool refrigerator is so crappy that Whirlpool only offers a 1 year warranty. And unless I pay $345.55 and/or a service tech charging $129 for a trip charge only, I will not have a working ice maker. Additionally, the capacity for ice storage is extremely small, even for my 2 person household. At times, the ice comes out crushed even though the setting is for cubed ice. The ice shoot is great for taller glasses, but if trying to use a shorter glass, watch out! You will have ice all over your floor every time!

Weve owned a Whirlpool Gold Series Dishwasher for about seven years. There has not been a year that has passed that we have not had to place a service call with a local service provider. (Each service call costs $85.85.) The upper tray has come off the tracks more than 10 times. The drainage mechanism broke the first time we used the dishwasher. The fuse box (which is amazingly a self-contained, enclosed, black box) has blown twice, has to be completely replaced, and costs over $180. The second time it broke, I ordered, paid for, and had delivered the replacement part only to find out that the broken part suddenly started working again. (I guess Ill have the $180 part for the next time it breaks.) To suggest that this product is junk is an understatement. It will be replaced very shortly.

I called the dealers repair department, which said they had not seen this before and it looks defective. I have used the oven less than a dozen times. It is virtually new. They submitted pictures to Whirlpool. The oven surround is not replaceable, so the request is to get a new oven. Whirlpool responded with, This is normal... when the cracks break through, then there is a problem. What?! I have been cooking for over 50 years and have never had this experience before. This product is under warranty. By the time it cracks through, it will be too late to do anything about it. Since when is crazing on the oven bottom natural, especially after only a very few times used? This is defective and Whirlpool is shirking their warranty. I am very dissatisfied.

Three years ago I bought a Whirlpool 22 cf bottom freezer (GB2FHDXWB02) & within 2 weeks it developed its first problem. Ive had service men out 3 times (on an extended warranty) for ice buildup and leakage, presumably from the icemaker, and the problem hasnt been solved yet. I tried to open the freezer tonight and the handle pulled off in my hands, nearly sending me head over heels. This thing is a major lemon!!! Dont get me wrong: I love the design! It looks good, keeps everything at the right temps & the bottom freezer is a great idea. Id buy the same design again if I could guarantee no leakage and a handle that wont separate from the door. Now Im having problems getting the repair service to come out here again, despite the warranty. Meanwhile, the fridge is leaking onto the wood laminate floor causing damage. I just replaced an ancient dishwasher & my old Whirlpool glasstop stove after its oven failed. I cant afford a new fridge too.

Whirlpool told me have to wait at least 10 days so they locate the parts so they can send out to Whirlpool contractor for repair. They dont have another solution rather than I have to wait until parts have available. I have to thrown all my food and I live without refrigerator. My 2-year-old Whirlpool Gold Series model replaces a 20-year-old Roper. So far it has exceeded expectations for low noise and useful features like validated Sani-Rinse. Has all the normal features plus Eco-Dry, Sani-Rinse, delayed start, five levels/cycles of cleaning, and hi-Temp wash. Fits where the old Roper used to be and handles a full load of dishes with room to spare except Thanksgiving, which takes two loads. Smooth black front with touch buttons and blue lights. Looks nice. Using Sani-Rinse seems to take a long time, generally around 3-hours for a full wash cycle. Besides being ultra-quiet, the unit is very energy efficient earning good Energy Efficiency and water efficiency ratings.

The Whirlpool repairman left today after replacing the burned out motor on my 5 yr old dishwasher bought in Feb 2012 and installed July 2012 as did not arrive from Quebec to Surrey BC until the end of June 2012. So the Finish dishwasher detergent was in the dishwasher as samples and coupons and recommended this Finish for use in the new dishwasher so I stupidly believed them and used it. Well last week my dishwasher stopped working after it started and turns out today the cause was from the Finish dishwasher detergent. I was told today after paying 393 dollars for the repairs. Not to use Finish anymore or I will have the same problem. To only use Cascade. So what is a person suppose to believe.

Little over a year later started having problems with this one and was told no warranty, didnt transfer to new fridge and no one offered to sell us a new one at the time, so repairs were out of our pocket. We purchased this model in July of 2019 and have had nothing but problems with it since. The design is really bad - if you set the temperature on the ideal setting, everything on the top shelf freezes solid. If you reduce the setting to the one below ideal, your freezer doesnt get cold enough to keep ice cream hard. The ice cubes are a little more than half the size of our last Whirlpool refrigerator and the unit is noisy. Weve had Whirlpool out to work on it 4 or 5 times in the first 6 months and twice weve had to throw away food due to the unit not cycling on and off properly. One of the technicians told us he spends a lot of time working on this particular model - evidently, it has a lot of issues. We are now using our old garage refrigerator while we try to get Lowes to give us a refund on this piece of junk.

Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine - We purchased the (best name brand) from Get It Now and all we ever had was problems. We will fill the washer 1/2 full of clothes and the clothes on top would not even get wet. So we have to do it again, to make sure the rest of the clothes were washed. Many times there was white smudge marks on the clothes, sorta like powder (we use only liquid soap that you recommend). Today I washed a child’s bedspread for the 4th time because the stains would not come out (from a cookie). I had to turn the bedspread twice just to get it wet. I used bulk load and heavy duty load and it doesnt work. Your product is a very big disappointment for the price a person has to pay. I will recommend that no one purchase this product. Your people need to do further research on who this machine cleans clothes.

Another person with problems called this a giant Whirlpool paperweight and he is so right! I received delivery of a Cabrio WTW7800XW3 washer on December 17, 2011. I had an issue (stopped in the middle of the cycle and flashed the letter “F” on the control panel) with it on January 2nd. I called and scheduled service. I had unplugged the machine and a few days later I replugged it and it started to work, so I cancelled the service call. In March, the problem started again. It just adds a little bit of water and then stops. Since then I have had repairmen out 6 times with 8 new parts installed and the washer still doesnt work. Now, the control panel won’t work. Whirlpool refuses to replace the machine. The repairman says these are the worst machines (any of the ones that are top load and have a clear top) he has ever seen and that I should buy an extended warranty. He says the bearings in the tub wear out among other things. On one of the repair visits, the serviceman found a chewed up pair of baby pajama pants. The machine makes a really loud noise like a jet engine taking off whenever it spins and the clothes are not clean. Whirlpool says that the warranty does not cover replacement of a defective machine. I have since researched the machine and have discovered that there have been problems with this line of machine for years. So, why are they still selling them? I am hoping for a class action suit. The company should stand by their products. I will never purchase a Whirlpool (or any other brand manufactured by Whirlpool) product again. I have had the machine for 4 months and it has been usable for about 2 of them.

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine a year and a half ago. It started making loud noises over time and finally stopped. Whirlpool did advise us that it was out of warranty but suggested they send a factory repairperson out. They told us depending on the problem they might pay the bill. It turned out that a nut holding the pulley had not been tightened up properly at the factory and had no restraining device, so it simply rattled off over time. Since we dont use the machine that much, the problem went past the 1-year warranty. It cost us two hundred and fourteen dollars for repairs. I could have put the nut back on myself for free. The service guy also said they had multiple similar problems and I should contact Whirlpool and they would probably work with me. No chance. They only kept repeating that it was out of warranty. I even talked with a supervisor who said the same thing. I asked to appeal further and she refused to give me anyone else I could contact. I asked for their legal department information, and she said she did not have that and I would have to get that through my attorney. What a joke. No more Whirlpool for me.

Front Load Washing Machine, Model WFW97HEDBD0 - This is the worst appliance we ever owned. Purchased in 2015, multiple problems since! 1. Soap dispenser did not dispense and leaked down the front of washer... 4 service calls, control panel finally replaced, clothes not clean, leaking continued. Had to place soap into washer drum. 2. Pedestal drawer made grating noise, track off, drawer replaced, opened better but still made irritating noise. 3. Grease oozing from side of washer both sides. Decided to look in back of washer and OMG! A copious amount of grease is also beneath & behind the washer & dryer. I had to scrape with a metal spatula device to pick up and it took over 1.5 hours to remove & clean. We are lucky a FIRE did not start when using either machine. This machine was a LEMON from the beginning. In fact when we were having it serviced, I stated I wanted it replaced but was informed 2 visits were counted as 1 and did not qualify for further investigation. We cannot rid ourselves of this machine fast enough after the last issue. New washer coming tomorrow, not a WHIRLPOOL! New machine is LG WITH 10 year warranty on motor.

I first want to begin by saying that we have been a Whirlpool family for years. I now own a Whirlpool microwave, hot water heater, washer/dryer, Jenn-Air stove and dishwasher. My problem now is with the Cabrio Washer purchased in 2008. I started having problems in 2011 and the same problem has raised its ugly head again. When I try to use the Clean cycle, it starts at a 60-minute cycle and goes down to a 2-minute cycle in 3 minutes without cleaning or even running water into the tub. This time, it made a terrible noise and stopped. The tub was replaced in July 2011 after having the same complaint as above. The repairman said that the mechanism on the tub to fit into the spinning cycle is made of plastic and is not holding up. Also, in March 2012, a new control board was installed. I spoke to Whirlpool Customer Service and they informed me that they did not have any other complaints about the Clean cycle and that I should call the repairman. Luckily, I purchased an extended warranty. I vote a thumbs down on the Cabrio washer.

We have an extended warranty but have been told that it is not covered. It is ecstatically unacceptable. We have not used any type of harsh cleansers on it - simply a sponge to remove any spills yet it keeps on disappearing. I strongly recommend against buying any range from Whirlpool as it is quite obvious that they do not stand behind their products beyond the first year.

I chose based on the current ratings of the machines. They look nice and they can handle large loads. I think EPA has changed wash machines to be back into the 1920s. I put my clothes in and there is no agitator in the center. My clothes come out twisted tightly into little round circles or balls, not much water but now it takes over an hour to wash my clothes. So we are conserving water but using more power, I also have to iron sheets and clothes because they are so twisted and wrinkled. I used to stick my clothes into the washer, select a cycle and go on my way and now I have to answer 5 other selection options, if I dont hold the button in long enough it just turns off.Have we all lost our minds, I think this is going backwards not forwards. I have talked to other women and they agree with me, we HATE these new washer and dryers. The dryer is a little better but not much. Also the tops are concave so your laundry basket falls off, and you cant put your soap on the dryer which is where I am used to having it. Now I have to clean my washer every 30 cycles, iron and it takes all day to do the laundry, yes and they call this progress, really!!! I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio W10607 425A- SP and dryers Whirlpool W10680129C-SP, these are full size and have the steam options on them and are side by sides.

Buy anything else. This WHIRLPOOL WITH STAINLESS INTERIOR WDF560 SERIES is the worst dishwasher Ive ever owned. Huge fail Whirlpool. MADE IN THE USA! I will never buy another thing you make again. I cant say ONE redeeming thing about this dishwasher. I hate it! It has a high temp wash, a Sani cycle & heated dry + a stainless tub. Using all of the above + having an SS tub yet everything comes out dripping wet. The cheap silverware baskets are poorly designed & positioned on the side to the back in addition to a tall tub making it difficult to access anything in them. The baskets are also cheap and poorly designed. All the spacings are the exactly the same with no proper spacing for pots, pans or larger items. These cheap racks will have a short life. Its outrageous to spend 649.00 for such an inferior product. Buy a cheap dishwasher! This thing is no better than a builder grade that looks good.

Purchased on 9/12 at Home Depot. Ice maker paid for as stated in ad for home depot, did not come with fridge. Tech needed for warm food, had to repair gasket. Tech needed for cracked handle. 6 calls for freezing food in fridge compartment. No resolve. Whirlpool wanted a 2nd opinion and another tech came deeming the fridge unrepairable. Not good enough for Whirlpool. After speaking to several customer service agents, they said they do not refund or replace, only repair. I have lost hundreds of dollars of food from freezing. My fridge is reading at 31 deg. This is way below what it is supposed to read at. No call from Whirlpool since last tech came. Their customer service is terrible and cold. Whirlpool Corp. was not any help either. You can see the problem with this model if you look up Whirlpool fridge freezing food in Florida, as a woman there called ABC news and they reported it. I will also do the same.

Whirlpool has a terrible customer service! I have an almost new washer broken and I had it repaired. The company is having the same issues in another model and yet, they would not offer to even refund the repair.
