LG Refrigerators has the only model I found that would hold 4 one-gallon milk jugs in the door, freeing up space on the shelves for other necessities. Also, the freezer is huge.

Our refrigerator with bottom freezer and french doors on top is very pretty. It has stainless steel covering, and Im still getting used to the difference between this one and the 27 year old one that died. Purchased it less than a month ago and already noticed a problem with the ice maker.

Purchased my LG fridge in Oct. of 2011. The first service call we had to have was in May 2012. The fan in the freezer that blows the cold air through the unit was not working, and the fridge was not getting cold. The repairman basically said that the fan had slipped down the shaft and could not work. He repaired it at that time, which lasted until Sept. of 2012. At that point, it happened again, and the motor on the fan burned up, and had to be replaced. We took his advice and purchased an extended warranty through LG. The third time the fan malfunctioned was in July of 2013. It sounded like a weed eater was inside my freezer. LG premium care set up a service call for Aug. 22, but the repairman cancelled because he had no record of my extended warranty, and we refused to pay his $150 service call fee up front. I contacted LG again, and they set up another appointment on Aug. 30. The repairman replaced the fan motor again, which didnt fix anything. The next service call was set up for Sept. 10. This time we had two servicemen show up. Upon opening up the fan unit, we were informed that the previous repairman had forgotten to reset the unit. We have gone a month and a half without a refrigerator, and have lost food constantly. I dont feel that I should have to keep buying $150 extended warranties each year to repair their defective unit again and again. Please advise me of my rights and options on this matter.

I had a front load washer for years from Sears. My daughter purchased an LG front load from Lowes and it is always full of mold. She said she will never buy another front load. It is truly a shame. My mom had a front load when I was growing up. I purchased the Sears one in my 40s and loved it. This one though has been a nightmare.

Bought an LG french door, lasted all about a year, just stopped cooling. 6 repair attempts were made, none worked, so after months of not having a working refrigerator, LG refunded our money. Well I went to Sears, bought a Kenmore. Well it is made by LG, but hoping to Kenmore standards. Now less than 3 years later, this one has also failed. LG may make good TVs and washing machines. But they need to get out of the refrigerator department, complete failures, TWICE!!

Wish that I had found this site prior to buying their top loading washer. Bought from Home Depot 4 months ago. Left one day with washer running, when we returned it had stopped with error code, washer had not drained. Looked at error code which said that hose was possibly crimped. Pulled washer away from wall and insured that they was nothing wrong. Called LG and girl had me do the over the phone diagnostics. Bottom line, she said that it needed service and they would schedule in 3-5 business days.Only call we received from them was a company name & phone # left on answering machine, with no further information. Sent a email asking what the hell is this, you are supposed to be scheduling the service, not me. Couple of days later this service company called and left messages on the answering machine, wanted us to call them to schedule a service appointment. I called on Friday afternoon, and they would have a service tech our way on Wed. I inquired what if it needs parts will they be able to repair by Fri. reply: no way as they would have to order parts. I inquired if they provide service after 4:30 pm or on weekends as we were both returning to work next week. She says no; in other words they wanted us to take time off from work to repair a product under warranty. I told her to forget it I would recall LG, which I did and explained to the girl that they needed to find a service company that can accommodate our work scheduled, she said that she would call back for scheduled service in 3-5 business days. Last we have heard from them and Home Depot says we just sold you the washer you, LG delivered it and any issues you have you have to take up with LG. WRONG answer, Bottom line you have three choices: 1) Insure that we receive repair on the existing washer , 2) Come get the washer as you havent been completely paid for it yet and refund what you have been paid, 3) give us a new replacement or once again you dont get the balance. All 3 scenarios is that it is still under warranty and you were paid the money not LG. As it stands, intend to file official complaint with Consumer Protection Agency, Federal Trade Commission & Attorney Generals office if for nothing else other than formal matter of record.

Throws errors LG refused to fix. 2 months old. 3 errors. Model WT7060CV: We purchased from well known retailer, upgraded all external hoses, faucet, etc. at time they installed. Within 2 weeks, started getting errors requiring reset, that worked, now at 2 months of light usage, vacation home, the error claims no water coming into tub. The symptoms however are conflicting: water fills tub and washes, then as it goes into spin, error thrown, tub drains, washer stops working, items in washer are wet. Now we cant get washer to work at all, the current error says requires repair person, we call retailer, they give us LG Customer Service, customer service tells us the problem is no water is coming into tub, I explained that was not the case and reiterated symptoms. We did video call with LG, they found no problem and said the hose must be clogged since no water was coming in. We said yes water is coming in, they said to clean the filters which required taking back off of washer but they wouldnt stay on the call to assist, I said water is coming in and seems odd that after 2 months the filters have to be cleaned and I am not comfortable doing this on my own, they said to stop repeating myself and hung up on me. They gave us 2 repair people in Seattle, 1 out of business, 1 never called back. I asked for repair services closer to East side because anyone further out wont drive to our location, they gave me 2 that are further away than first repair service. Retailer told us LG was supposed to call repair service not us.Now the retailer, who really has been super helpful is dealing with LG and is going to pay for an LG repair company closer to our location that is not on LG authorized list to go out to try to repair the machine. The retailer told me LG is extremely difficult to work with when issues occur with their products. Lesson learned. DONT BUY LG, I now have a shiny new 2 month old washing machine that does not work and neither the retailer or LG will take back. The good news... The dryer works fine. So far.

I have had machine (WT1101CW) for 20 months and problems since beginning. Problem intermittent from beginning and I got mad but let it go. Called within year and they did something via phone at machine. Problems persisted and I called a number of times as I got angrier and they did nothing. Problem is constantly out of balance condition and clock and mechanism seems to keep repeating steps. It rinses and again and again and clock jumps all around. I finally put on special and set spin only to get water out but it goes from 13 minutes to eight and then back to ten minutes. I finally put clothes wet into dryer. Problem was intermittent initially but now seems to be problem every time. I cant stand with machine all day so generally takes today six hours to do one load wash. Out looking for a replacement machine and when purchase will put this on curb of my busy street with sign about its problems. Company recently said wont fix machine under warranty and I must pay. Ive already paid for their junky machine and wont give them any more money. Anyone who buys this companys washing machines has to be crazy in my opinion. I should have purchased a good Sears set originally.

I purchased a LG refrigerator 2 months ago and it already stopped working. Ice maker is not working, inside is at room temperature, all my food got wasted and when contacted LG support, the rep was soo rude and asked me to go to Best Buy (because I bought it from Best Buy) Even though its in warranty, nothing was done after being on the phone for hours until one rep said there will be a tech after 9 days. So I got a brand new fridge not working, wasted about $2800 on this fridge. LRFXS2503D. Tried emailing LG too, I wanted a replacement at this point because nothing is working in it as of now and I dont want repair on a brand new product.

I bought this LG gas range last November at Home Depot. (And they knew nothing at all about the flaws in the range.) To begin, there was a problem with the gas not turning on quickly enough, causing some gas to leak out, and a repairman came and fixed it. It required a part that had to be ordered, and I couldn’t use the range for a few days. But there are two other big problems I have had. First, the easy clean feature. It doesn’t work. At all. And it is a pain to use anyway—filling the indented compartment in the bottom of the oven! Doesn’t do anything, and then you have to extract the water by hand from the oven floor. They say not to use oven cleaners, etc. as it can ruin the oven walls. Which leaves no real choices. A man who came to put in a new dishwasher told me I could use something like Soft Scrub. I haven’t tried it yet. I am 73 years old, and I am too old to have to get on my hands and knees and clean an oven.Second problem: when the oven is on, air blows out from the oven, but instead of coming out the front, it comes out the back. The air flow is directed toward the burners and usually blows them out. If you don’t stay right with it, you have a major gas leak problem. I have had to put up barriers in front of the air flow vents to keep this from happening. I would never walk away from the stove if I use the oven and cook on the burners at the same time. This might be the worst appliance I have ever purchased. I would never ever buy another lg appliance. The leaking gas is a major safety concern. The company had to know the easy clean feature doesn’t work. And when I told the repairman this, he said maybe I should have done better research before I purchased it. Wonderful customer service. I would like to give no stars...

I purchased this washer in December 2012 and it has already started to rust around the bleach reservoir. I purchased it at Home Depot with an extended warranty, but they said that was not covered. They gave me the number to LG and they said they would not cover it. I think it is ridiculous that a washer would rust after 2.5 years.

LG Refrigerator model number LFXS30766S/02 - Retail Cost $3,799. topped working on 6/11/2017. It was Purchased on 7/9/2015. The unit was only 23 Months old. Compressor is Defective and there seem to be another issue with it. As an Engineer, I tested the Refrigerator myself and determined Compressor has completely failed. I called LG Service department to let them know that the Compressor is bad and it needs to be replaced. The Compressor is under 10 Year warranty. I was notified that a technician needed to come out and verify this. I was given 2 options: 1. I needed to pay Approximately $345 (I do not remember the exact amount, but it was this high) to come out just to look at it and fix the issue, but this will be a one-shot deal. Or Option 2. $459 to come out and verify, Fix the issue and then have it covered again under warranty for another year.I do not understand why I need to pay these amounts for something that is covered in warranty. Especially when I am reading all over the internet that this particular Compressor, Ice trays and circuit boards are Failing at an extremely high rate. I ended up having to pay $459 to have a technician come out to say that I was correct and they needed to order a new one. Its now 3 Months later and I do not have a refrigerator. We have given up on LG. Never again. Pass the word around. Do not wait on them to do the right thing. We ended up purchasing a Kenmore Refrigerator for the family. For the cost we paid for the LG, you would expect a quality product. But it seems like LG is using the US Market as a dumping ground for their defective items.

When I shopped at Lowe’s for appliances, I heard about LG Refrigerators and I ended up selecting it. I’m not really happy with it. It wasn’t cooling and I lost all my food in the freezer. The technician came out and said that he fixed it but then, it got even worse. It went through a lot of repairs and a whole lot of different parts had to be ordered and replaced on it. There was a lot of technicians coming out here to fix it and delays with getting parts. So, it has not been a good experience for me. I’ve been talking to LG as well as the technician too. They had a contractor come out and he had to make two visits to get it repaired. Right now, it’s working, but I don’t know for how long. I haven’t even had it three years and this happened. I don’t think I’ll buy another LG refrigerator.

It was small but it worked. I just always wanted a bigger and better refrigerator. It was too small and I wanted more features on the refrigerator. I wanted things like an ice maker and a water machine. I need a bigger one. I didnt like the color, or how small it was. It didnt have a lot of space for food for my house because I have a big family. It was old and outdated and we needed a more modern look. And a bigger freezer part on the refrigerator. It was just out of place here with my decor and family size. It would be nice to have wider and taller shelves. Well actually it came with the house that I was renting and it did good for a while but I have a big family and we needed more space to store more food. I am also an ice water so I love the ice maker.

I purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator when we built or new home in October of 2014. My husband was very excited about the third door in the top half of the refrigerator and the ice in the door. I wanted the freezer on the bottom and the extra space in the top half. Although we both got what we wanted I have had nothing but problems with this refrigerator. After only 6 months we had to pull it apart in the freezer compartment and thaw the back of the freezer because the fan in the back was frozen. Since then I have had to pull everything out of the fridge and pull off the back to expose the coils to thaw them as well. After I do this again tonight I will have done it 3 times in less than an 8 month period of time. The last time was only 2 months again and last night sure enough the fridge threw an error code again.Holy Cow LG really this is the best you have to offer? My old GE side by side Fridge was less of a hassle and required less attention than this LG has and I had that fridge for 20 years. In fact the side by side that I bought second hand and only paid $150 for has been better fridge than this LG that I paid over $3000 dollars for. If I could I would deliver it to the President of the Companies door step and let him take it apart and thaw it yet again. Wow thanks for the crappy design. I will never, never, never buy another thing that says LG on it or that LG has had anything to do with. Thanks for letting me rant. I hate this Fridge!!!

I just spent 1 hr and 15 minutes on the phone so LG can diagnose my brand new dishwasher--used 3 times! This piece of garbage leaves dishes filthy!!! I heard every stupid excuse why this piece of garbage wont clean. This one is good---we dont have enough water pressure--even though the machine controls the force of the jets via its internal jets. In fact, LG boasts of their Direct Drive pumps/motor that supposed to clean so well! It has nothing to do with water pressure because the unit is filled before the wash cycle starts!!! After all the attempts to diagnose the problem via my smartphone, nothing worked. I told them to just get a service repair person out. I was told that if this is the normal operation of your unit, it wont be covered under their warranty and will be charged!!! This LG dishwasher is a piece of garbage, as is their so-called customer service. DO NOT PURCHASE LG!!!

My refrigerator (LSXS22423) a side by side is 2 years and 3 months old. Wasnt making ice Sunday and by Monday everything in freezer was thawed. The compressor is shot!! Really... 2 years??? I was told by a person who SELLS LG refrigerators that he wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Their compressors are known to die after about 2 years... Really?? He said even if you wanted to repair it they would use the same compressor model that failed and since so many of them are failing we are looking at a 3 to 4 month wait-list... Really?? I bought a whole new LG kitchen 2 years ago. My fault I did not read the reviews first. Totally my fault, but when you pay $1700 for a fridge you expect more than two years out of it. I had a GE before and had it for 18 years. Still worked when I bought my precious LG. I am a senior who has to watch his money and this situation just makes me sick. I dont deserve this nor do any of the other LG customers who have been screwed. Where is the Quality Control?? It is a crime and you should be ashamed. 2 years... REALLY?? Yeah, really!!!

LG Dishwasher LDS4821 - We purchased our LG dishwasher in mid 2012. Our first bad experience was with the installation, as the legs supporting this monster are made of plastic and the installers completely broke the frame. (I found out when it starting tilting and had to call Home Depot, who replaced the dishwasher). These dishwashers are so flimsy, they never sit correctly between the cabinets and require occasional adjustments to keep the door from scraping the sides of the cabinets. The next problem was a strange scraping noise that would occur during the wash cycle... Turned out to be the pump, which was also leaking, which rusted out the motor. Our repair guy replaced both. The next repair was with the bottom door seal, which was leaking water. Within months after the stated repairs, the HE heating element light started flashing and the dishwasher wouldnt complete the cycle. Once again, our repair guy came out, tested the heating element (which was working) and determined that the control panel was malfunctioning and needed replacement. Now on to the minor issues: detergent door may or may not open during the wash cycle, bottom rack has a tendency to stick and requires being lifted and re-seated, dishwasher may or may not do a good job washing the dishes (depending on its mood that day). At the time of purchase, we were remodeling and bought all LG appliances. After the above experiences, I will never buy their appliances again.

My old washing machine gave out and I invested in what I thought was going
My old washing machine gave out and I invested in what I thought was going to be a good washer. I decided to splurge a bit in order to get a good washer. I purchased from a 3rd party (JCPenney) so it took 4 weeks plus an additional 2 weeks because it was on back order. So for 6 weeks I was going to the laundromat. I took the day off work to be available for delivery. The delivery guys dropped it off, hooked it up and checked it and it was working. I did my first load of laundry and it would not complete a load. It gave me an error message. All day long I tried different ways around it and nothing. My husband changed the water hoses since it said it was the water pressure and nothing. We called LG that evening and basically was told because it was the water pressure in our home that they would not send a repairman. Our house is very new and our old washer worked fine water pressure wise. We told them to just take it back then and they agreed.Very long story short they would tell us they would take it back and or send a repairman and nothing would happen. We would call back and same promises and nothing. JCPenney has called them various times to have them send someone to repair and they refuse. Now its 2 weeks out and we, JCPenney and even the delivery people have called various times to get it repaired or returned and they refuse. Its insane were having to go through this kind of trouble when its brand new out of the box and we bought warranties on it. Im extremely disappointed in the way LG is handling this situation and I will never buy another LG appliance in my life nor will I recommend to anyone that they do either. They have lost a good customer because we are loyal to brands that are good to us. I wish they would just take this dang washer, refund us and we could just get a different brand. Never again will I make the mistake of buying LG.

We purchased our LG refrigerator last November. The ice maker stopped working in March. We were scheduled for service two weeks later. The night before it was to be serviced the refrigerator stops working altogether. I call the service company to give them a heads up that more parts will be needed only to be informed that LG doesnt give the repair service parts until theyve been out to analyze the problem. The service representative comes out and says its the power circuit board and orders a new one that takes four weeks to receive; another week to arrange the service appointment. The service rep (Jeff a good guy) returns to installs the boards and tells us all is well. The ice maker worked for three days and then stopped. I call the repair shop and was told that service cant come back out because LG has closed the ticket; so I have to call LG again. Jeff comes out to analyze the lingering problem to get the replacement part. We were told that the part is back ordered and expected delivery will be a month. Two months roll by without the delivery of the part. It is now July and the ice maker remains inoperable. While waiting for the part, in May we called the service shop to voice our concern about not having our functioning ice maker. The service shop told us that LG was likely going to replace or refund us for our refrigerator since the part is taking so long to arrive. We called LG and they said they needed a copy of our receipts for the refrigerator and they would send us a link to the LG service department. A couple of weeks later the service shop called and asked what was the status of the LGs replacement or refund on this ticket. I told the service shop I was still waiting for a link from LG to send receipts. She told me I should call LG again, which I did. LG said I had given them the wrong email address (my email address is my first and last name so essentially they were telling me I didnt know how to spell my last name). When I questioned why they thought I couldnt spell my last name and asked them to take ownership of the error they hung up on me. I sent in the copies of my receipts. LG never got back to me (as I had been promised). I asked them today (about a month after they had received the receipts) what was happening in regards to my replacement or refund and they said that since the part should be in next week, a replacement or refund was rejected. This action from LG is probably just a delaying tactic on their part. Ive been hung up on about six times from their warranty service, usually after being on hold for over fifteen minutes just waiting for them to pick up after a transfer. They have promised me a call back on several occasions and I have yet to receive a call from them. Their product seems to be of low quality based on it failing within the first six months of operation. Their warranty service would have to improve several steps to make it up to pathetic. I strongly suggest buying from a different brand.

We purchased our refrigerator in November of 2015. Customer no service is worse than terrible. Our refrigerator broke down in August of 2019. It is now February 2020. We have had a working refrigerator for 3 days. Since then repair is a nightmare. Only comes on their schedule (A&E) and only when they want. If you ask to speak to management they hang up on you or put you thru transferring you to all incorrect departments. When they hang up on you they block your number so you cannot call back. The 4th person that came out said the parts he was installing looked used. Gosh wonder why they didnt work. Last person out said defect in refrigerator design was the problem even if they order parts will not work. He called LG. They are sending parts to repair defective refrigerator. LG model #lmxs30776s.

Woke Saturday morning to find water on floor (from ice melting in door dispenser), warm fridge and everything melted in freezer. Big mess! Called LG. After playing 20 questions with them, they determined the compressor was bad. Would send replacement parts directly to house in 2-3 days. But the earliest a tech could come out to make the replacement is 2 weeks! Who goes without a fridge for 2 weeks? Not only did we lose all our food, I lost $5000.00 in Humera injection pens that are supposed to be stored in fridge and kept cool. Sure LG will supply their faulty compressor with a new one, (dont know if I have to pay for labor yet) but who pays for all the lost food, loss of expensive medicine, all the mess and all the inconvenience and stress of not having a fridge for 2 weeks? How are not Attorneys General not following up on all these LG customer complaints about faulty compressors? It is NOT RIGHT! We paid a lot of money for this LG fridge. Our previous one, a KitchenAid, was working fine when we replaced it with this fancy new LG fridge. The KitchenAid is still working fine at my sons home in his kitchen. How can Best Buy, Home Depot, and Lowes still be selling these terrible products?

This item had good ratings and suggestions directly to me from store associates and consumer ratings. Online there were very electorate reviews from multiple retailers and review websites about how this refrigerator, in general, was the best one that many of the spoken consumers had every previously owned. I like the water filter, cooling levels, storage space, stainless steal, and ice machine. Additionally, it has a wide breadth, lots of shelves, easy to clean interior and exterior, and good lighting inside the machine. Sound levels, height, and some leakage at the bottom occasionally. Otherwise, there is nothing else I notably dislike. I would improve the quickness of the ice making process for the ice maker machine, and I would also improve the noise levels for lower levels or whirring and shaking noises.

Top of the line LG purchased in Spring 2018. Was expensive. Control panel uses touchpads on hard plastic service which also serves as the door handle. We bought a 2 year extended warranty. The new vertical cracks cover the control touch pads, and will eventually render the dishwasher inoperative. Of course, it is considered normal wear and tear, and not covered by warranty. But, for $240 plus $250 flat rate service charge, I can get it replaced. How long before it cracks again? What a piece of junk. Do not ever buy a dishwasher that has flimsy handles which house the controls....

I purchased an LG top load washer in 3/11 from Best Buy. I had unbalance issues almost from the start. Finally May this year, I contacted a service repair to find out what is going on. They couldnt figure out the problem and called LG for answers. It got them nowhere. I called LG and found out my washer had a recall and they would have a service repair done. They scheduled an appointment that a part had to be ordered so the date had to be changed. 10 days later, the part was put in my washer. It still doesnt work right. I have had 3 service calls on it. Everyone tells me my washer has so many problems dont bother getting it fixed. I have tried to talk to someone at LG to be transferred from one dept. to the next to emailing. The website wont let me make a complaint. I was sent a survey and did let them know my washer still doesnt work and Im very dissatisfied with LG. I have tried everything I can think of to get answers to fix a 2-year old washer. Now Im being told just to buy a new washer. LG service is terrible and their product sucks. I will never buy anything from LG again.

I like that the features are easy to use. The refrigerator helps a lot. It does more than my last one did and is more stable. My whole family loves it and I dont know why I would do if I had the old one still til this day. All features are great and it was within my budget and we really needed it. The last one is just so old and is about to finally break on us but this one isnt and we will have it for at least 6 years. The LG brand is the best refrigerator. I also like Samsung but LG is more popular and has the better reviews and the most likes so I see why people recommend it and Im glad I got it for the family. It was the best decision I ever made for a the best price I could ever get it oils really awesome in my house.

I bought this Sears Kenmore Elite French door fridge in late 2007 (Model 795.755.46401). Within a couple years (but out of warranty), lots of little things started to go bad. As others have mentioned, the plastic latches at the top of the doors broke, and then the latches for the tilt out vegetable drawer fronts broke, and then the slides on the drawers broke, and the hardware that supports the bottom shelf broke - etc. The whole interior is made of parts too flimsy to last for the useful life of a refrigerator. Then the front door water dispenser stopped working, and just recently the whole front display went out and the main compartment lost temperature control and started freezing everything. Im a handy guy (and an electronics engineer), so I ordered and replaced the main board and then the display board, as they were the obvious failure points. That didnt fix the problem, so I dug in deeper. It turns out that the wires inside the front left door that go up through the hinge have broken. I could deal with that if the failure was at an accessible point (at the hinge one would expect), but I eventually figured out that the wires have broken somewhere inside the door. The wires are apparently molded into the door and cannot be replaced, so I have a $2,000+ refrigerator crippled by a bad 10-cent piece of wire and an astonishingly stupid design that makes that wire part of a $400 door assembly.Like I said, I am a handy guy, so I routed a very thin and not too ugly replacement wire on the exterior of the door to replace the broken wire inside the door, and for now the fridge is back in business. Ill join the many posters in this blog who will steer clear of all LG appliances in the future.

I bought an LG W2101HW and a matching dyer in February 2010. First, the washer ran great with no problems, and then July 2012, error code comes up for heating element. Warranty is out. I find that only two repair companies will even touch them - out of fifty or more repair places. Here comes the great part - it needs diagnosis to determine the cause of the problem that the machine tells you with the code. They wont to charge you, but then if it is stacked, you have to help them unstack it. Great when you’re disabled then find out you dont need to after all! So you call them and they tell you it will take a week to ten days. He comes out and reads the same code. That will be $79.00. When we fix it, it will be fifty more plus part, which is fifty dollars. We have to order the part and that will take five days. They come back more than week later. We got the wrong part and needed to order new one. A week goes by and no one calls. I give them another four days and no one calls (forgot about you). They will come the next week. They only go by zip code, so it’s always a Thursday. Repairman brings part and installs part (no unstacking), I pay the money, and everything is fine. Two weeks later, it’s the same thing again. I called repair and no one ever called back. More than a month later, still no call. I bought a new washer and dryer (GE). I will never ever have an LG. Nothing, the company does nothing for you when called, only a stupid email, so sorry. What a joke. Never buy LG washer or dyer; you will be sorry. I paid over $1,600 for both.

Purchased a LG model LSXS26366 at Home Depot. Delivery came 3 days later with a damaged door handle. Depot guy came to my house to replace the handle. Next day we loaded up the new refrigerator with loads of new food. Went to freezer and found all the frozen stuff soft. Door control center has an error code. Open owners manual and follow the written directions only to find out that phone number is no longer a working number. Called LG customer service. Someone can call me back the next day and no they will not replace the rotted food. No service is available tonight. They will have someone call to make a repair appointment. Called Home Depot to have them retrieve this refrigerator and issue credit. Do not purchase LG appliances. This was just a horrible mistake. Won’t happen again.

Purchased and LG LFXS32726S a year and a half ago. 6 months after the warranty expiration (of course) it breaks down. Refrigerator stopped cooling but the freezer still works. If I paid for an extended service plan, ($500 or so per year) I could have a tech come out the next day. I called a local repair company who came out and said that the compressor had a small leak and that I should call LG since the part would still be under warranty. I contacted LG who then scheduled an appointment for 4 days later even though with a service plan I could of gotten service the next day. Service tech texted he was on his way, my daughter was home and did not hear him knocking. He never texted me to state he was outside. Just left. I texted him numerous times to see what his progress of arrival was and no response, I called various times and left messages and no response.I contacted LG customer service who said my ticket was still open (at 10:00 am, tech we found out had come over at 8:34 in the morning). Waited longer and then was told at noon that the call was cancelled because he could not reach me. Funny his first text came in just fine to let me know he was on his way and when I had not heard from him and contacted him numerous times there were only crickets to be heard. Called LG customer service and was given the runaround. First I was given a number to follow up with that was supposed to be where the LG tech was being dispatched from. Called the company, this was a one man show with no employees who did not have a work order sent to him for our repair. Waste of time and aggravation there. Then with 20+ minute wait times on additional calls to customer service to just be told, call this company and see if they can help, we have no appointments available this week to reschedule you and when I asked for a supervisor... 40 minutes later I finally got one. My daughter in the mean time Contacted LG on Twitter and was given phone numbers of repair companies to call. Great customer service right? Here we are a week later with no diagnosis still and now as I am reading many more people are having the same problems. Finally got the repairman to contact me after speaking to the supervisor which was promising and he apologized and stated it must of been a problem with his phone and that he would be there first thing before 8:00 am the next morning. I personally waited for him and called him when he was late. He returned the call after 9:00 am to state he had family problems but was on his way.He then shows up just to tell me that the fan was frozen and we needed to disconnect the refrigerator and let it defrost. Hmmm when I checked online someone had the same errors and mentioned that it was a refrigerator fan that needed to be replaced so I spoke to my husband and daughter who had by then made a secondary appointment with another LG tech because we were not sure this one was going to show up after yesterdays fiasco. Lo and behold we got a third opinion, they agree with our diagnosis and changed the fan and now it is working again. One week and $429.63 out of pocket later so far (btw found fan only cost $80.00 online but we did not know how to install) hopefully this fan will last another year and a half so we can get money to buy a new NON LG refrigerator to replace this one! NEVER again will we purchase an LG product. I really thought I was getting quality and value for my money and now we have learned to do even more research before buying pricey appliances like this in our future.

The compressor went out on this top end refrigerator (lglmxs 30776s/01, on sale for just under $2700 ) at 2 years and 2 months-the parts were under warranty. It took 6 weeks and 2 days to get it fixed, and many, many phone calls to LG! Their consumer service twice referred me to repair companies that could not come through (you had to use their referrals under warranty), and when they couldnt get the job done, you had to wait another 5 business days to let them respond, then you had to wait another few days for them to find a location of another repair shop. This was getting old so I got Home Depot (where I bought it)) involved to put pressure on them. Finally LG let me find my own repair shop and it was fixed! OVER 6 WEEKS LATER-a near $2700, 2 year old refrigerator, by the way the labor was $700. NEVER another LG product for me!!!

When we spoke to LG they ask us to troubleshoot the washer by doing a tub cycle. We question why we should be doing all this when in fact its a brand new washer which came directly from your warehouse, (CSR are horrible and rude). LG then said they will send a tech out to look at it. We cant have it replace since their policy is complaint must be file with 48 hrs. Our complaint was file with 24 hours. Today is Mar 03 and I still have a leaking washer. LG service are extremely Poor. Products are Inferior. Will never purchase or recommend LG appliance. Dont waste your money. Life is Grief. We purchased an LG French door with freezer drawer in bottom. Have had problems with mold developing along the door gaskets as doors do not closed properly. Yesterday, there was an odor that smelled like burning plastic. It smelled like some electrical insulation was burning. The smell diminished, but this morning we discovered that the electrical cord was burning at the outlet. I called the service contract people and was told that the electric cord was not covered, that if they sent someone out it would cost $100.00+. Drove to the local HHGregg store where we purchased it originally and spoke with the manager, which was as helpful as talking to the service provider. In my opinion, both Gregg and the service provider are dishonest about their policy coverage. It appears that I am not alone with this problem.

Our 25-year-old Kitchen Aid dishwasher died and sadly our landlord replaced it with an LG dishwasher. Whether it works to our satisfaction has yet to be seen; the design is my big complaint. We are bending over literally almost to the floor to load the dishes. I own some giant pots, but none big enough to justify the enormous gap between the top and bottom shelves. Its ridiculous. I actually stubbed my toe and injured myself on the open door, which practically rests on the ground! The prongs are lined too far apart to economically place small dishes and plates and all in a row, so attempting to find a sensible way to group like dishes and glasses is pointless. Fortunately, we hadnt thrown away the utensil tray from the Kitchen Aid; I dont understand the covers on the junky LG tray, some of which stay open and some dont. Its just a cheaply and poorly designed, impractical product.

We purchased this refrigerator in May 2015. Ice maker has always been marginal, but this last week after we got home from a few days away, we found the refrigerator and freezer not working. No error codes, so we tried a power reset. Still no cooling or freezing. We called the appliance repair from the store we purchased from and their technician came out and verified the compressor had failed. He said their shop would contact LG about getting a repair estimate. We had purchased a 5 year warranty, but were 15 months out of coverage. Started to investigate if this was a common problem and lo and behold, we find there was a class action suit against LG for defective linear compressors. Our model was in the affected date range, however the settlement only covered 5 years after purchase for parts and labor. We are now waiting for a repair estimate. LG compressors are not reliable. Do your own research. These fridges are advertised as saving money, but when you spend over $2000 for a piece of junk that only lasted 6 years, do the math. They are not cheaper to own. We went shopping for a replacement and told the sales lady our experience with LG refrigerators and she commented that several of her customers had conveyed the same story about failed LG compressors. It is probably going to make more sense to just purchase a new refrigerator, given the cost of repair labor. Rest assured, it will not be LG or any other LG product in the future. LG is not Life is Good. It is Lucky Goldstar. Our luck ran out.

Buyer Beware: We purchased an LG over the stove 2.0 Microwave middle of Nov 2019. After installation I turned the surface light of the microwave on. When I went back to put a dish in the microwave I found it to be extremely hot inside. We had not used the microwave nor the stove below to generate such heat. We turned off the surface light & checked the interior of the microwave it had cooled down. We then put a thermometer inside the microwave & turned the surface light back on to check if the light itself created the heat. In less than 1/2 hr the interior of the microwave heated to 117 F degrees. When we turned off the light the microwave was cool. We then called LG to alert them to our experience. The rep first hinted that it could be an electrical problem with our home. I explained our kitchen had been recently updated including all the electrical which was inspected by our local county inspector. They then sent a service tech out to examine the microwave. LG technical support told the service tech not to touch the microwave. They issued us a Claim number & an internal Bulletin about the problem. The tech told us we had to replace the light bulb ourselves despite it being new & under warranty. My husband is an electrician as well his friend who is a master electrician. They both researched the model. LG changed from the earlier model a 30 WATT incandescent light bulb to a 50 WATT Halogen light bulb in the same lighting compartment & model. The hole for the 30 WATT incandescent light bulb is still in the compartment & next to it is the newly added 50 WATT Halogen light bulb. IT sits just below the microwave box with absolutely NO VENTILATION. We were advised to notify our States Attorneys Office as well the BBB. We alerted the store we purchased it from to check the models they have on the floor & beware of the problem. Had we just turned on the surface light & left our home I cant imagine the outcome. If youre seeking to purchase a new LG microwave first check what type of surface light bulb the microwave is equipped with before you purchase it. LG obviously has no solution or will back their warranty on a less than one month old microwave.

About 3 years ago I purchased an LG dishwasher Model LDP6797ST. I was very happy with it at first until about 1 year and a couple of months. One day a received the error message AE. At the time I did not know what it stand for. I contacted LG and to their credit they sent a technician to repair the unit. What he did that day is replaced a circuit board at the door and the machine was working. And now 2 years later after the repair I received the same AE error message. The thing is that error message according to LG is a water leak. I called a repairman who confirm I have a leak coming from the drain pump. It would cost about $600 to fix. In his word I better off buying a new dishwasher. I paid good money for that dishwasher (about $700) and it only last 3 yrs. I am not sure I will ever buy an LG appliance again. A month ago the compressor on our LG French Door refrigerator model# LFX31925ST/00 died. It is still under LG warranty. Frequent calls to LG customer service only get another customer service representative that says they understand but are unable to do anything because. Each has a different because. Tonight, one even stated there was no record of us ever reporting a problems. Others have said the parts have been shipped to the technician a week ago, but the technician hasnt seen them. The technician called them and they said there was no record of the parts being ordered, even though the technician gave them the order number. This is an example of a complete runaround with no apparent intent to fulfill their warranty responsibilities. Or it may just be an attempt to defraud senior citizens. We are an elderly couple that lives in a very rural area. We must keep our medicines cold. Daily trips to town are out of the question.

The call today from LG said it was not covered, only parts to fix and since it was not fixable, they could only pro-rate my fridge. I am crying. I paid over 1000 dollars for it.. I took good care of it. Now being mid-February, and hundreds of dollars in fees to have them say they need to get second and third opinions for fridge being deemed unrepairable, and indeed covered by warranty, they are saying they are not going to do it. They will give me a fraction of the money I initially put out in good faith for the cost of the refrigerator. I am exhausted financially and every single person I have known to own anything LG has gone through this very same experience. Televisions are burned out the day after warranty and LG policies to serve their consumers are horrible. I have been asked to resubmit my proof of purchase receipts so many times that Best Buy themselves started submitting it for me through their own fax machines. Its ridiculous. I will never buy LG products again. No one buy anything, rip offs, total complete rip offs!

I bought a new LG WT7900 Washer (their top-of-the-line top-load machine) in May 2020 (3 months ago). The direct-drive motor now makes a very loud grinding noise (even though the motor has a 10-yr warranty). Ive since learned that this is a common issue thats been going on for nearly a year. I called the LG 800# found in the Owners Manual. They scheduled a repair appointment with their third-party repair service (A&E Factory Service, which also goes by the name Sears Appliance Repair... really????). I took the first-available a.m. appointment, thinking thatd increase my chances of them actually showing up.My Service appointment was scheduled for 7am-11am today (Aug 8, 2020). You guessed it... NO ONE showed up, or even bothered to contact me (other than a confirmation text I got yesterday). So I called their 800#, and was on hold an HOUR before getting a live person (guessing lots of people are having similar experiences since their phone lines are so busy??). When I finally get someone, he says he needs to put me on hold while he investigates the issue. But after being on hold another 10 minutes, the line disconnected. So now I have a brand new LG Washing Machine that doesnt work, and LG is taking no responsibility to fix it or replace it.

The LG website doesnt work and you are unable to register a complaint there. To pre-treat a large cat urine stain on my daughters duvet and cover I poured apple cider vinegar on the spot. Then I put the washing machine on the bulky/bedding cycle, added some more apple cider vinegar, HE detergent and an hour later I put it in the dryer on bulky/bedding setting and chose very dry....twice! Thats an hour for the washer and 2 hours and 10 mins for the dryer. Not only is the duvet and cover still damp but the stain is still there. So tomorrow I am off to the Laundromat where I should have gone in the first place. There is no point in having a bulky/bedding cycle if the machine is unable to handle the load. I will never buy one of these top loaders again. The clothes are NEVER clean and I always have to choose a longer drying time. I feel that LG has misrepresented their product as energy saving!

Hadnt heard back from him. Called LG and complained. They told me that they would send someone to clean the glass. Which doesnt resolve the problem. The refrigerator makes loud noises. We can’t even have a conversation due to the loud noises. Seems like we have a tractor engine running in the kitchen. The fridge is only 9 months old and has been repaired 5 times already since the third month of the purchase. I have to fight them every time I ask for a technician. LG refuses to replaced it after so many repairs. They are waiting for the one year warranty to expire then after that I will have to pay for repairs. DONT BUY LG.

The earliest a “certified LG technician” can come is almost a week out. I am a working mom with 4 children. I have to now take all of my laundry to a laundromat to wash until mine is fixed again. All while I have paid for something I cannot even use. I will never purchase LG products again.

My LG washing machines turbo drums sensor is fixed to holding the door of the machine. Since it is in frequent use, the sensor gets damaged and rusted due to frequent water contact. In the last two years, I have changed the sensor twice. This is the biggest fault that your machine has. Because of this, we will not prefer LG machine in the future. Please change the place of fixing the sensor in LG washing machines.

My husband purchased an LG front load washer dryer set about a year ago. The washer has been fine so far but the dryer has been a nightmare. Theres the usual problem of the lint trap sticking up so it grabs your strappy things and rips them apart. I cant put any camisoles, bras, etc in the washer. Also I washed a load of all my summer skirts this spring and my daughter didnt know the dryer is hell bent on destroying everything I love and put the whole load in it. Needless to say I lost every last one of them. They came out in a twisted torn up knot with drawstrings ripped off and holes in all the light material. Not one was salvageable.Theres another major design flaw with the lint filter though and thats had the holes in it are too big. Theyre the perfect size for catching big zippers and things and ripping them off. My husband and I both wear Carhartt coveralls in the winter and have multiple pairs. The latch on the front of the coveralls gets caught in the lint filter and ripped off. The zipper on BOTH my Carhartt coats has been destroyed and I have one pair of coveralls left that havent been in that dryer. 4 coveralls, 2 coats, multiple bras, camisoles, nightgowns, skirts, all ruined.Every time I load that dryer from hell I feel compelled to stand and watch the entire time with one finger on the pause button and one hand on the door to try and catch it when it starts to eat my clothes. Sometimes I can catch it, other times its too fast for me. I literally stood there and watched it devour my favorite and newest pair of overalls before I could get the door open. I have a thousand dollar dryer that Im afraid to use and a clothes line in my laundry room. This was a huge mistake, Ill never buy lg anything ever again.

Bought LG french door refrigerator one year ago and died on me 2 days ago. Called LG customer service and asked to come out asap but they scheduled me 2 days after. More than half of my foods worth $300 had to be thrown away. I live in Valencia weather over 105 degrees and was very frustrated had to wait for them at this weather. They schedule me on time frame from 10-5 pm to wait for them. Still waiting and cant get out of the house all day since it was a emergency matter of food being melted and rotten. I called local tech to see what is wrong and charged me $70. When I called LG support to reimburse money I had to spend they said they cannot give money back. I was very disappointed how they deal with issue. This is brand new LG refrigerator paid $2700 and main compressor dies in a year doesnt make sense whatsoever. I will not be buying LG Appliance anymore.

It leaves lines of loose dirt all through the clothes where it has spun out the water and not adequately rinsed them. I have never ever been this disappointed with a product. I will not recommend this machine to anyone and if I could afford to replace it I would. It takes at least 2 full wash cycles to remove some of the loose dirt, the second with no detergent.

Now the Tech visit 5th time as of today 07/08/2019 - NOT ABLE TO FIX THE ISSUES, 41 days pass by...So, here are my comments: Buy LG, if you dont want to be with your wife. Buy LG, if you dont want to feed your kids healthy food - almost a month I am feeding them Junk. Buy LG, If you want to listen their customer service BS and oh sorry sorry again and again. Buy LG, if you need to take off from your work just to stay with LG tech. Buy LG, if you want your whole house smell like Freon GAS while tech is on working. Buy LG, if you want to see black sticky stuff all around your house due to Tech soldering the new compressors and freezer lines. Buy LG, if you like to listen LG customer support every time saying, Sir this is our last time to trying to Fix and then will replace your unit with New one. BS Please Please. I WAS in love with my new fridge. The 25 cu ft. capacity is just the right size for my family of 5. (We also have a deep chest freezer for handling all the meat, icecream tubs, etc). The dual ice makers really come in handy when the ice maker on the door cannot handle the load. (Its quite small, so in summer months, or with guest over, you run out of ice quickly). It has plenty of space and looks gorgeous. Flash forward 4 months 2 weeks later... compressor goes out. I call LG about this issue... and the frustration begins. The incompetent reps on phone tell me that the reason my fridge is not cooling is because I have the temp setting at 2 degrees instead of at 0 degrees for the freezer, and 37 degrees instead of 35 for the upper portion. Ok, a whole two degrees will make my fridge cool. Then they went on to perform this gimmicky smart diagnoses that the unit is equipped with. She did not want to sent a technician out because the smart dx told her that there was nothing wrong with the fridge. Meanwhile there is water all over my kitchen floor because all the ice was thawing and melting out of the unit. I called on a wed. On a Friday a certified LG tech came out. Told me the compressor is dead and that it would be Monday before he could repair it. So now I have been without a fridge for days, with 3 young children in the house.I have called LG and voiced the fact that this is unacceptable for a 2k fridge. The rep proceeded to tell me I would only have to pay for service call! How is it that when you are still under warranty you have to pay for the service call? The technician shook his head in dismay. He could not believe what he was seeing. I placed the call on speaker for him to listen to the ridiculousness by the rep. After my unit seemed defective, I went online and have read tons of reviews on LG fridges needing major repair within the year, and am afraid I was sold a lemon. I want a replacement or my money back. They have not contacted me. I have called and have been hung up on. I was also hung up on, right in front of the technician! You think you are buying a nice piece from a reputable trustworthy company, and the fact is all the contrary. I am so disappointed.

Ive posted on this site regarding my Maytag stackable washer and dryer. Now Im posting regarding my BRAND NEW LG stackable washer and dryer. After much researching online regarding stackable washers and dryers, I finally went with the LG brand. My Maytag washer went dysfunctional after 6 months. For the following 8 months, I had Maytag repair guys at my home, every two weeks, to fix the same exact problem. I had an error code that flashed on the machine. It was THE same code each and every time. Every part that was replaceable on the machine had been replaced, yet the problem continued. Maytag customer service is HORRIBLE.Now LG. The washer, when pumping water into the machine, caused a loud thumping in my walls. The vibration of the washer caused a rubbing and squelching noise from the dryer stacked on top. The company is well aware of the dryer problem and told me, There is nothing we can do about it. They are selling a machine they KNOW has a problem. The washer problem was an electrical problem, also not fixable. And when a certified LG technician comes to your home and tells you in all honesty that he has nothing good to say about his company, then THIS IS A MAJOR problem. The machines are 2 DAYS OLD AND DO NOT WORK. Customer service is HORRENDOUS. I literally spent an entire day talking with customer service. It was only when I was speaking with the 8TH representative that a repair appointment was finally made. One representative actually asked me this, Can you describe the noise? Can you better describe the noise? Can you give different words to describe the noise? Who knew there were so many ways to ask the same exact question repeatedly? I also had to repeat answers to other questions as well.Needless to say, the machines will be returned and I am on the hunt for a different brand. The problem is, when you go to research the variety of brands, all of them have complaints. And what I have noticed is that for the majority of brands, their machines become dysfunctional at the two year mark. This is pretty shabby, considering you are spending close to $1000 or more per machine. I just dont have thousands of dollars every year to spend on appliances because the companies out there, cant seem to make durable products anymore. My parents have Kenmore appliances. Theyve had the same appliances for YEARS and no problems. What happened to decent machines? And what the heck happened to great customer service?? If there was a 10 star option for the worst service and machines imaginable, I would choose that.

LMXS28626S.ASTCNA0/French Door. I bought it for the good looks, but there are a few annoying and serious design deficiencies in the refrigerator, as follows: 1. The ice maker storage is in the door, which causes the ice inside to clump together and stop making ice if the door is opened for a couple of minutes while cleaning the inside. The storage has to be cleaned out, and sometimes reset, in order to work again. 2. The water dispensing spout is far from the pressing mechanism, and water splashes outside the glass if it is small. I have never experienced this before in any of my previous refrigerators3. The French doors do not stay in place when opened - the left tends to shut, while the right tends to open all the way.

I purchased this range (LG DOUBLE OVEN RANGE) new in July 2017. This is not the first time I have had this problem since the purchase of this range with the front knobs being turned on by accidentally brushing up against them. This morning I smelled something burning. Upon checking found one of the knobs on the electric range was turned on apparently from brushing up against it earlier. There was a glass baking dish on top of the burner that was on containing a cake made earlier in the week. Upon touching it to move it off the burner it exploded into small pieces all over the kitchen and surrounding food. Thank goodness no one was injured. This is a major problem and it should be recalled or corrected before someone is seriously injured.

I have looked all over the internet this morning to find out if there is any fix for this and have been unsuccessful in finding anything. This is very frustrating and needs to be fixed. We got this glass top range oven when we had our new kitchen put in 5/24/14. We purchased insurance but not hopeful because when I talk to the LG representatives she said it may not be covered because it might it be done by us dropping something on top of it! LG gas stove LRG30355ST - I bought the stove model above in April of 2007. Fifteen months after, the middle knob broke. I called LG to ask for a replacement. I was hoping that they would accommodate my request since it was only 3 months after my stove was a year old. Well, LG was very cold and told me to purchase one which was then $75. To this day, my stove is missing a knob. One other knob is also very loose that a slight nudge will turn on the gas without turning on the flame. I have to keep checking that the knobs are all in off position. The burner caps are also an issue. After two years, they are chipping off here and there but usable. I did not bother to call LG after the cold response in 2008. This LG gas stove model is a piece of junk and the knobs are a safety hazard.

After Redoing our house after Hurricane Sandy, I thought I would buy this Top of the line washer and dryer. The dryer is great, no complaints, however, the washing machine (Top-Load Direct Drive) does nothing but force dirty water through the clothes. Even with bleach, I could not get socks or floor washing pads at least clean looking. I despise this washing machine and will not buy another LG product especially from Home Depot. When I called about possibly getting service, they referred me to an Electronics company... Enough said. The electronics company wants to charge $80 to come Look at it. There is mechanically nothing wrong with the machine, it just doesnt work well and honestly, hasnt worked well since day one. This pushing water through the clothes is not effective at all. I would prefer a machine with an agitator but, those are hard to find. This machine is not that old and is not used all that much so, I have read reviews of the same situation and it is very clear not to buy this machine. I had read such great reviews for this machine but, am so disappointed because it has lead to nothing but additional costs for me to take at least some washes to the local laundromat on a regular basis. My home warranty company TotalProtect Home Warranty (Cross Country Home Services) came out to repair our washer. It has been 3 months and multiple LG repair companies later and LG has not repaired our washer. Every LG service company that we called or came out to make repairs claims they cant repair it, LG did not authorize repairs, or the recall did not cause the damage. LGs customer service (800-243-0000) promised they would make repairs and they gave me a CNM # and APM # that supposedly authorized the repairs. I even filed an ethics complaint with LGs company HQ. I purchased a double oven in 2018 & within six months the numbers on all the knobs were coming off. Mind you, I paid over $1300 for this range. I requested replacement parts through filing a complaint with the BBB, because LG wanted me to buy the knobs, because the warranty had expired after emailing & talking with them on several occasions. First, they set the wrong color knobs, the second time they only sent two knobs, with one being damaged & the wrong style and the third time, all the knobs they sent were different & they only sent four. This is the worst company Ive ever had to deal with & the worst & cheapest made appliance Ive ever bought. Ive never had an oven where the numbers have came off the knobs. They are ripping off the consumers by producing these defective knobs & then trying to make you buy more & when you file a complaint, they give you the runaround & send you the wrong knobs, so they dont have to replace them for free. I have been going through this process for two months & still do not have the correct knobs on my oven. I spent over $5000 buying all new kitchen appliances and this is how they treat their customers. Its not like my appliances werent registered on their site, so they had the correct model & serial number. Buyers BEWARE when buying LG products. You will get the run around when trying to get the right parts & cheap production.

We noticed LG refrigerator was stopped cooling and freezing on October 10th. We were told the option would be to repair or refund the cost of the LG refrigerator when we initially spoke with customer service on 10/10/2021, but a service technician would have to come and evaluate refrigerator first. On Oct 25th, a LG refrigerator repair was completed. We were offered a $200 spoiled food compensation which we have not received to date. On Nov 12th, the LG refrigerator stopped cooling and freezing: keep on mind it was repaired 2 1/2 weeks earlier. So, I called LG and requested a refund of the cost to replace it with a new refrigerator. Obviously the refrigerator and/or LG part is defective. The LG rep told me LG would not authorize a refund until another repair was done per LG PROCESS. I asked to speak with a LG supervisor who offered me a 15% rebate towards purchase of another LG refrigerator.I told the LG rep that was absolutely unacceptable, and asked to speak with whoever would authorize a full refund. The LG rep said that her department does not authorize refunds, and could not proceed with my request per LG process. The only option i was given is to set up a second repair appointment on Nov 18th with same service company A&E. I was then told by the LG rep that after the second service appointment, if LG refrigerator is still not working, then they would be able to proceed with a refund request. I again asked for a second spoiled food compensation, and was told this was only offered once a year. Therefore, we would not be compensated for second set of spoiled food. I went ahead and set up second service appointment on Nov 18th, while I figure out our next step. I spoke with A&E to try to get a sooner appointment, and queried whether they were using a new or refurbished part for my repair. I was told the part is ordered directly from LG to complete the service repair. So again, the defect is in the LG parts.

So then I called LG and they sent out another guy another week later and they said that the refrigerant had leaked out and they had no idea why. So they ordered three more parts and they came in and then another week later another repair guy came out to replace those. Oh, it was the same guy that replaced the compressor, and after that he left and said give it 24 hours, but after 3 hours it again stopped cooling. An LG technician came in and told me he had bad news for me, he could not work in the unit due to Sulfur Contamination and his company advised him not to fix the unit. When I asked him, what could cause such contamination, he said it is because the Chinese Drywalls. Our refrigerator Model #LSXS26366D is in the list of defective linear compressors in the LG Class Action Lawsuit. Our previous refrigerator was plugged in the same area for 13 years and never had a problem. We moved the old refrigerator to the garage, and it is still working under heat and humidity in a Florida garage. Our Air condition company certified that all our lines are clean with no contamination. All the appliances in our house are working properly, including our LG Washer and Dryer.Today I called a specialized company in the Chinese drywall detection and they never heard of a refrigerator failing due to Chinese drywalls. This is not possible. Also, they mentioned that a Technician cant diagnose a contamination without testing the particles. I work in a power plant company in Florida and all the Engineers stated that the compressor is in a sealed environment with no co-relation to the outside elements. I have called the LG Customer Service multiple times requesting a written service call invoice as the Technician did not leave a written diagnose. LG refused to produce the document and the customer service rep hanged up on me.The second customer service told me to call a third-party repair company a pay out of my pocket. Today another rep offered 20% rebate on a new purchase. Again, the refrigerator is three years old and under warranty for five years under a Class Action Settlement for this Unit. There is no proof and no explanation on writing of the cause of failure. Yesterday we called again, and the customer service rep said that our refrigerator is irreparable. She transferred us to a Supervisor by the name Arthur, we request a diagnose on writing and he said not to be allowed to send emails and he will send a request a copy of the service call. Please help us to receive repair for our fridge under warranty. Thank you.

I bought the machine two months ago and noticed my white clothing was coming out gray. I changed the soap and the settings (chose hot and heavily soiled), and it’s the same thing. I opened the machine during the wash cycle, and the water was consistently cold while the water in the sink by the machine is very hot. The technician from the store where I purchased the machine came out and found it working correctly; however, he also agreed that the water would not get hot. I called LG and discovered that the CW in the model number stands for cold water. In other words, this machine is designed to use lukewarm or cold water. That’s strange! I thought hot water was helpful in the washing process. I am now doing battle to exchange this ridiculously designed machine for one that will actually clean my clothing, and I wont give up until I have a replacement. No one in the appliance store understood what CW meant. They thought the W was for white in color. Good grief! By the way, the dryer isnt wonderful either.

I bought my refrigerator 5 years ago to come home to leaking water and a warm refrigerator. I was on long holds with the LG department. They scanned the refrigerator telling me nothing is wrong, to just unplug it and call back. I called back. Was hung up on 3 times. Given repair companies that were not open not in my service area. I found someone to look at the refrigerator and was told it is a compressor issue. I paid over 3000 for a refrigerator that didnt last 3 years. Im very dissatisfied with this product and customer service. I will never buy another LG product. They know these refrigerators have this issue and they are doing nothing to fix it. Same type of compressor is being used to fix the problem which may occur again.

LED lighting, touchable black stainless steel, the layout of the shelving and 10 year limited warranty. I have used LG products before and have always been satisfied. The refrigerator was also on sale for a great price. I would recommend this product to friends and family. It had most of the features I was looking for. I have been very happy with all the features of this product and cannot think of any thing that I would change or add. LG products are very well made. I looked at several other brands and styles and choose the LG. I really liked the sleek look. The shelving layout was better than what I was looking for and the price was great. I was very happy with this product. I would say all my expectations and then some were met.

I am in line with the numerous reviews I read concerning the quality of LGs product, specifically the model WT1101CW washing machine. Mine rarely completes a load, of any type, without giving the ue or UE error codes. And the machine programming is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. For example, when it finally does get to spinning good, it will stop only to restart so it can screw up. Maybe it is intentional. You cant rely on the machine to complete a load. You HAVE to babysit it and restart it up to several times for each load. It takes so much more time, energy and water than the old school machines. Why are they allowed to bill it as high efficiency or energy efficient? I have talked to LG many times about this and did everything I was supposed to do from checking machine level to letting AE claims technician come here because LG said it needed a software update to lame advice like using low spin speed. The bottom line is LGs product, customer service, and technical support are of the poorest quality. I will never purchase another LG product and I definitely will discourage anybody I hear of that is shopping for appliances or any product that LG makes.

I moved into a home in 2013 with a 2010 LG refrigerator. Both of the water lines have had to be repaired. On November 2, 2015 all food in the refrigerator was freezing. LG will not send out a technician unless you pay them in advance on credit card - $195 for all parts and labor with a 90 day warranty. A sensor had to be replaced. Today (March 9, 2016) the food is freezing again. I just called LG and they want another $195 before they will send another technician out but not before March 14. Their products and repairs are useless. DO NOT BUY LG.
