I purchased this product less than 5 months ago and the water pump went out
I purchased this product less than 5 months ago and the water pump went out. Called LG customer service and they referred me to a company who refused to service any of their products. I called LG back and they gave me another phone number, called and set up a service call. They showed up with NO parts on them due to LGs policies. They do not allow them to carry parts for their product with them. The company ordered the part and told me it would be 4 business days before I could get it fixed due to LG having to ship them the part. LG on the other hand said they 2 day overnight parts. That was a lie. The appliance repair came 6 business days later (due to waiting on part), installed the pump, and to no avail. The technician said it had to be the computer board that was bad. What?!? We tested the washer and lo and behold due to the bad computer board, it burned up pump #2. From this point obviously I had a lemon of an appliance. Thank God for our local Home Depot, whom I purchased it from, because dealing with LG is a nightmare! Home Depot let me return BOTH LG washer and dryer I purchased and I traded it for a brand new Samsung washer and dryer. I will never ever buy an LG product again.

On 4/14 I contacted LG Direct Service regarding my refrigerator not cooling
On 4/14 I contacted LG Direct Service regarding my refrigerator not cooling. The refrigerator was no longer under warranty so they suggested some local service providers. At this point the service rep offer me a service contract for the unit, explaining that I would have a 60 day service contract for a cost of $365.04 and they would send a technician out to fix the unit on 4/17 between 8:00 am and 12:00. On 4/17 the technician was a no show. I contacted LG Direct Service regarding the matter. That had no answer for me and kept referring me to Assurance, who apparently is a third party to actually held the service contract that I thought I got from LG Direct Services. This whole time I had been dealing directly with LG as implied by the name. In any event, Assurance informed me that he was only service provider in my area, and that they would send another request to him. So I was told now that the technician would be arriving between 8-12:00 on 4/19. LG Provided me with the number of the provider so I attempted to contact him on 4/18 in an effort to confirm the appointment. After numerous attempts with no answer other than a recording with a full mailbox, I contacted LG Direct Service again. I explained that I could not contact the provider and needed to have this appointment confirmed. They attempted to contact the provider but had the same response that I did. After 2 hours of mostly being on hold listen to a recording tell me over and over again that they know how valuable my time is, I am informed that the guy will not be coming tomorrow. He rejected the request for the service. It turns out he rejected the first request for service as well. So the appointment that LG Direct Service told me I had, never even existed. No phone call or e-mail to let me know. So I took off of work for no reason. Had I not called on 4/18, the same thing would have happened. Now LG just keeps trying to pass the buck onto Assurance. LG tells me that the technician that didnt show is the only one they have in my area even though they had already given me the names of three other service providers. The fact is he is the only one that is on the Assurance list of providers. As a result they now say they can no longer repair my refrigerator. So instead of paying $365.04 for the repair it is now going to cost $900. LG totally misrepresented the service contract of actually being an LG product. I have repeatedly asked LG to stand by the contract they sold me and get another authorized repairman to fix it. They have gone so far as to tell me that they dont have anyone who can make the repair in my area. It should be against the law to sell you a product under the representation that it is their product and not a third partys. The only people I spoke with and was invoiced by was LG Direct Service and they should have to make do on the contract and get my refrigerator fixed and not just offer to cancel the contract and return my money and then have to pay more to someone else. Just for the fact that between time off of work and the 4 hrs plus I have spent on the phone with them should be enough to make them want to do right by the customer.

Every time I call customer service, I get the equivalent to sorry about your luck. Ive now been over two months without a working refrigerator. Weve had five repair appointments in which the tech actually showed up. We are now waiting more than two weeks for another repair tech appointment. This new appointment has already been bumped back TWICE. LG SHOULD BE ASHAMED! Sadly, Ive learned that nobody at LG cares.

Worst company ever. Worst company ever. DO NOT BUY!!!! We bought a refrigerator that cost around 3500 new. And it only a year old. We have had to have it repaired 5 times now. I have fought and fought with corporate headquarters to get a new refrigerator. I dont want my money back just a replaced fridge. They make you jump through a a bunch of pot holes and then say they will not replace the fridge but give you a pro rated refund meaning less than you paid for it. How hard is it to replace a refrigerator when you are in the business of making refrigerators. Especially when you grossed over 322,000,000 last year. This corporate company needs to be knocked down a step. You can not forget that your customers made you and you are where you are thanks to them.

This brand is well known all over the world and its reliable, safe and will last a long time. It has an amazing and modern design and everyone would be happy to have such product at home. It has everything I was looking for in a refrigerator and the price was within my budget. The color matches my other appliances and its easy to clean. I like the water filter that comes with it because makes so convenient and easy for my entire family to drink clean and purified water. I only wished it was more affordable. Everything else about it makes me happy and Im so glad I selected this specific model and brand. I have no regrets. This brand has met my expectations and I would recommend it to all of my friends and family members.

We bought ALL LG appliances 3 yrs. ago, including their French door-in-door refrigerator. We’ve been without that fridge for THREE WEEKS now!! LG’s customer svc. is shameful. They think 3 wks isn’t unreasonable to live without a fridge. It took 2 wks & dozens of phone calls, hanging on hold for over 10 mins. to even get an LG certified tech assigned to our case. Took another week for THEIR certified tech to receive the new compressor from LG parts. (LG refuses to expedite shipping even when we offered to pay for it). He came, installed the new one & it’s STILL doesn’t work!!!!Admittedly, we were enamored by their products. We drank the “Life’s Good” Koolaid. The only element that differentiates one manufacturer, from another is their customer service when things go wrong. It’s easy to spew “Life’s good” mantra when people are spending millions on your products. It’s what a company does to help its brand loyal customers WHEN THINGS GO WRONG - that is the true measure of their worth. I was an LG brand loyal consumer. I’m over that now & hope to warn others so this nightmare doesn’t happen to them. My neighbor had a similar compressor problem with their Samsung fridge. They received a full refund for what they paid for it, in TWO DAYS!One of my husband’s cancer meds requires refrigeration. Even knowing that, LG customer service reps give the same rehearsed canned response; “we’re sorry for your inconvenience”. 1) They’re NOT “sorry” & 2) Being without a fridge for the whole month of August is considered well beyond “inconvenience”!!! They’re doing NOTHING except continuing to try to get it repaired at a snail’s pace. There’s NO possibility of getting anything done quick with them. I offered to give them MY FedEx acct. # to overnight another compressor. No, they can’t even do that. If I could afford to put this piece of garbage on the curb for trash pick-up, I would. But we bought all new appliances knowing we were going to be retiring & these were supposed to last us as we prepared to live on our fixed incomes. I would go buy a similar fridge by another brand manufacturer if I could, but we’re not drawing the salaries we once did. LG expects us to wait ANOTHER 3 wks or longer to see if their tech can replace the compressor, again. When asked if they could overnight it - no, that’s not their policy. They are a disgrace!!!

I bought an LG refrigerator model No.195NC5 on 06.10.09. I noticed recently that the body paint at the bottom is rusted and still peeling off. I contacted your technician through my dealer at Kottakkal in Malappuram dist. The technician informed me that the warranty period is over and theres nothing to do. Though the complaint noticed recently it occurred, quite early, within one year of purchase. I am not only a customer of LG refrigerator but I have LG TV, LG PC and likely to buy an LG washing machine. I expect your favorable action.

I have a brand new refrigerator LRDC2603S delivered on 9/12/2020. The refrigerator did not cool to 37 degrees & remain hot at 45+ degrees. We changed the setting to 33 but the fridge temp was only able to cool to 44 degrees. After numerous phone calls & with technician repaired it 4 times, the fridge temperature is still too hot, over 42 degrees. I have bought a refrigerator thermometer to monitor the temperature.Every time calling LG, it takes at least an hour before somebody answered the phone. Most of the time, you cant get hold of anybody. I was totally flabbergasted when a customer rep asked me whether I had done my troubleshooting after I called back to report the fridge still not working properly after another repair service. The technician was very nice & professional. Its the customer service people that are supposed to provide services that I have problem with. They are either non-responsive or rude or give you the merry go round or totally incompetent. And they will forward my phone call to another dept & then the phone was dropped. Nobody really tried to resolve the issue and give us a solid answer. The issue is very clear. Fridge didnt cool to the set temperature. If you cant fix it, replace it. And when I told them of my food keep getting spoiled. Their typical answer is sending me a link to report it so I can claim. Fridge was delivered last Sept. Its been 8 months and somebody supposed to get back to me. I am still waiting. Its 8 months already.....

I purchased an LG washer a little over a year ago. Six months after the purchase, the clothes washed in the washer started to smell like mildew. Since then, I have purchased many different washing machine cleaner products, and attempted every suggestion provided by the LG representatives and people online suffering the same problems to get rid of the smell. LG also sent a technician out while the washer was under warranty; who said there was nothing wrong with the machine, and he could smell no odor. Now the warranty is up; LG claims that, nothing can be done.

LG refrigerator (French door/expensive) had to have compressor replaced at 2 yrs, $800+ in labor, parts took 3 weeks to arrive from Korea so without a ref for all that time. Now a couple years later it went out again, compressor, evaporator and other parts replaced. It doesnt cool and is deemed unrepairable. Have spent another $905 in labor. Asking LG to at least reimburse for labor but not getting good support. Product is not good quality apparently and parts take an unreasonable amount of time to arrive. Warranty support inadequate under the circumstances.

I purchased a beautiful French door refrigerator (Model LFXC24796S) from the Home Depot in November 2017, by September 2018, the compressor has already gone out on this fridge. I purchased the extended warranty through Home Depot and the soonest they could send someone out was three days later to look at it. I was told parts had to be ordered because the compressor went out and it would take 3-5 business days. It has now been day 5 and I have received no contact from the service people and Home Depot and LG are giving me the runaround. Meanwhile we are at home living out of coolers for 11 days now with a beautiful looking $2,700 piece of crap. Threw away over $300 worth of food. I am so disappointed at LG and Home Depot for not doing something to make it right. I am about to drive this fridge to Home Depot and demand my money back. DO NOT EVER BUY AN LG fridge! Even the service technician who came out told me that all of these type fridges break very easily. For as much money as you spend, you can get something more worthwhile in a Whirlpool, GE, or KitchenAid.

The steam dishwasher went dead during warranty. The corporate repair technician came out. He did something, said he could not replicate the problem, and the washer started up! Two months after the warranty expired, all 3 circuit boards went out. The corporate technician was no longer allowed to come out, and we were forced to use a new company that only services LG on Fridays. Weve been doing dishes by hand for 6 weeks, and still, dont have the parts. It will be two more weeks at the minimum before repair is complete due to LG policy, parts distro, and customer service. Dont waste your money! Where are the class action suits against this company?

Life is not good with this LG refrigerator model LFX31925ST/00. We never have any ice. The icemaker had been replaced 3 times in 2 years. Even it works, it is not enough ice for a single person let alone a family. We are lucky enough that we purchased the extended warranty, but that doesnt help the fact that we are inconvenienced all the time with doing without ice for days on end calling repair, staying on hold, waiting for parts from FedEx, then waiting for repair men. Contacted LG... who does not care to say the least. I was told to deal with the puerile I bought warranty from because their year was up.

This is the noisiest piece of equipment in the house except for the washing machine or vacuum that run very rarely. This LG refrigerator is way below my expectations. We called the service department, they said that due to a pump of some kind this is the noise they make. This morning, early, 5 am, this machine sounded like a Martian flying saucer. The configuration of the refrigerator is okay, I mean really its a refrigerator. The constant noise is a drag. If I could go back in time I would NOT have bought this machine.

Now when we complained about compressor saying that it is making lots of noise and therefore technician visit is required to see what is the problem. Slick and smooth with an Ice dispenser. The ice dispensed was fairly large and the handle was curved. The fridge itself was of average size. The freezer section wasnt unnecessarily large and was all the space I really ever required. The fridge could have been larger though, but not for its price. The size of the fridge couldve been larger with less unnecessary pullout shelves and more standard shelves. The door shelves were decent though. The production the the aforementioned ice was also somewhat long as well. The price of the refrigerator is what caught my attention. Then again, the fridge was on sale and wasnt at its standard market value, thus this opinion could be skewed or biased.

There is no such thing as a warranty or service, just the runaround of calling someone else. I cant even buy the parts as there is no supplier that can find it. I will never buy another LG product again. This microwave needed major repairs within 18 months of my purchase. The first repair happened when it was still under warranty but I had to pay for service and when the second repair was needed, the warranty had expired. I called LG to ask for a warranty extension with the argument that a relatively new appliance should not need major repairs twice. In fact, the microwave I had replaced with the LG was over 10 years old and had never needed a repair. I replaced it because it was old looking and I was remodeling my kitchen. LG would not extend the warranty and the repair with service would cost more than replacing it. I argued that they should replace my microwave but was denied. Again, I will never buy an LG appliance again.

I purchased a top load LG washer and dryer from a very popular store in Savannah, GA. Believe it or not at the almost end of the 1st years warranty, I was cleaning the washer around the rubber part on top and found that the framework was rusting. I had already reported the bleach dispenser was rusting without results. I called the store and was referred to corporate. I got the runner around there. After trying to work with them they had a recall on a part. After that was installed the washer is slower which I reported right away. To this day they have not sent anyone out to check the RUSTING OR THE SPEED AND RESULTS OF ANY OF MY COMPLAINTS. I LOVE LGS PRODUCTS BUT THE RESPONSE TO MY PROBLEM STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ADDRESSED. I purchased LGLDT5678SS dishwasher in April. The dishwasher has a very annoying whistling sound during the fan/drying cycle which I reported to LG immediately. LG sent CVS Appliance repair to correct the problem. They replaced the fan; the whistling continued. I was told by their rep that it was probably a design/manufacturing flaw. I have called LG multiple times. I was told today by a supervisor that only TCC could authorize a replacement or refund, whoever that is. Do not buy this dishwasher. LG reps give you a constant runaround and the supervisor basically said LG would do nothing to correct or fix this. She put another work order in to CVS; their rep Randy called and said he had already repaired the dishwasher and that I should get another service company to come out. I have reached out to Ferguson, the company we purchased the DW from, they are my last hope. I cannot and will not live with this annoying noise which can be heard throughout my home, not just in the kitchen.

My 83 year old mother purchased an LG refrigerator about 2 years ago. She’s on a fixed income, so this was a significant purchase for her. I advised her to purchase the extended warranty for peace of mind in case something happened. What a joke. The refrigerator stopped cooling—freezer too. We called the repair number on her extended warranty & were told that the soonest they could get a repair technician out was over 9 days away. Well, not ideal, but we figured we could figure out how to make it work. The tech called to confirm the appointment & informed us he had ordered a new compressor to be shipped to her house because “they go out all the time.” Wow. That inspires confidence in the product. The repair day came and went without a tech showing up. When we called to inquire why the no-show & were rudely told that we were supposed to call when we received the parts. Well we saved the voicemail from the tech and there was NO mention of calling when the parts arrived. So they rescheduled the appointment, and again, the soonest available was a week away. The appointment was supposed to be from 1-5. We confirmed this for the 3 days leading up to the appointment. Yes, they assured us, the tech will be there between 1&5. Guess what? Again, no tech, it’s a Friday and the office closed at 5, so no help.Fed up, I called a local repair company. They were able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning. So I call LG to see if they will at least cover the labor for the repair. I’m told that because I didn’t use their “approved” vendor that they won’t cover the repair. Seriously? Clearly the LG refrigerators have a known issue with the compressor going out, but unless you use their “approved” vendor, you are out of luck. After over 7 hours of calls to LG customer service I was finally able to get ahold of the Executive team. Supposedly the approved vendor will be out tomorrow between 1&5. Yeah, heard that before. Fingers crossed they actually show up this time. One way or another, I will NEVER purchase an LG ANYTHING and I will advise EVERYONE I know to do the same. Worst customer service EVER.

Based on my research, LG seemed to have the highest rating on all of their appliances and they last longer. They seemed to be the best product out there. It has been less than a year since I bought my refrigerator but I have another LG refrigerator. We just purchased the house, and it has one in it. The ice maker is not a very big one though and it just has a little door insert ice maker. So, it does not produce enough ice for us. The refrigerator is not but two years old and it broke. It took about five weeks before it was repaired. Then, my washer took three weeks to be repaired. The washing machine and the refrigerator are two items that you need immediately in a household. I was so dissatisfied. The parts had to be ordered but it’s not so much LG but the people that they use to repair their stuff. It’s something that they need to look into because when they have crappy service, then the product gets a crappy reputation.

I purchased an LG Model# LFX33975st Refridgerator from Lowes September 2004. I paid 2748.60 for it and also purchased the Lowes extended warranty. That is a whole different issue. This fridge never cooled like it should from the day I bought it. I would hear weird noises from time to time, several times the freezer would start to thaw out. At first, I thought my wife had too much stuff in it but that wasnt the problem. Then it would start working again. A lot of food would spoil in this fridge. Well, it finally quit cooling altogether and we lost all of the food both in the fridge and freezer. I called Lowes as I had an extended warranty and I also contacted LG. LG sent a new compressor and the wrong filter drier and scheduled the service facility to come out and make the repair. The repairman came out and found a leak in the fridge evaporator. He ordered the new part, he came out to make the repair. Now, this is going on for 3 weeks. 48 Hrs later the freezer is working but the fridge is not. So after doing a little research online, it is clear that LG has major issues with their compressors and other components that they are aware of and there are several class action lawsuits against them. I have all LG appliances in my house as the salesman at the store told me how good the LG products are. I am very sorry I purchased these products and will never buy another appliance from LG or Lowes.

I have had this refrigerator a little over a year and the ice maker has gone haywire twice. It doesnt just stop working, no, it starts dumping water when the ice tray is still full of ice and I find a big puddle of water on the kitchen floor, an inch of ice in the dump spout, the ice bin is one solid block of ice. This is the chunkiest, clunkingest, noisiest refrigerator I have ever seen. I have to pull the thing out from the wall and turn the water off to change the water filter. This is the worst engineered piece of junk I have ever purchased and I will never buy another LG product of any kind. We are throwing this $2000 piece of junk away and going out to buy another refrigerator this weekend.

I bought a new microwave to last us (pensioners) a couple of years. The bottom where the rollers for the glass plate run, rusted through in two and a half years and just today, it started a pyrotechnic display behind the mica cover inside the oven, actually creating fireworks in there. I am so angry about this poor quality oven. I feel like making a video in which I would demolish it with a heavy hammer or chainsaw and splashing it all over the Internet. My previous Litton lasted 12 years. This is really a hopeless product. I will never ever buy an LG product again.

I bought LG range LSE4611 costing me over $1400 dollars. Not even done paying payments on it. It melted away like plastic on fire. We had a pot of water on it. Somehow the heating element malfunctioned and melt the glass top. It seems as this range has no safeties. Don’t waste your money on this brand.

Washing machine top load 5cub - Never seen such a terrible machine, better off dumping this and pulling the old one out of the dump, my clothes are not clean, it doesn’t get any dog hair or lint out of the clothes and have to wash 1-3 things at a time to get my nice clothes a little presentable. Remember this is the large capacity washing 3 things to become partially, not, clean!

We purchased all new LG appliances for our home. The dishwasher stopped working after 7 months. We called their support number and the people there do not know what they are doing. We have waited 2 weeks and no one has called, so I called them again. They still have not found a service company that will respond to our service call. They will not escalate the issue or give out phone numbers to reach someone higher up. I will not buy another LG product again and do not recommend purchasing one.

I have never been more appalled and disgusted with a company and customer service in my life. Last night while doing laundry, my LG electric dryer of the last 4 year, the cord connecting in the back of the dryer caught fire and melted. Thank goodness we were home and the dryer shut off with no further damage to the house other than the wire and casing in the back of the dryer completely melting. I called the customer service line to let them know what happened and the lady sounding like she was reading from a manual telling me that I had to set up a service call which I understood. Then she tells me that I have to pay over $275 upfront for repairs before they will send anyone out. I told her that the malfunction was not my fault that there is a defect in the product and she said unfortunately unless I pay upfront they can not send anyone out. I told her to send someone out and if the repairman somehow found us at fault we would pay then, but before he came out to look at it. How do you charge someone for a repair that they havent even seen yet to know what needs to be fixed. How do you charge someone upfront for a repair that was a manufacturers defect? A defect that could have burnt my house down or worse killed my entire family had we been sleeping. For safety measures I had an electrician come out to the house the very next day to ensure it wasnt an electrical issue on my end and he even said its wasnt anything from the house end, that it was an internal issue with the dryer.

I will never ever buy another LG product of any kind. I purchased my washing machine almost five years ago and have been fighting with it ever since. At ok never point I discovered that the machine had actually been recalled. The machine was known to vibrate across the floor. The techs have been out numerous times but when Home Depot called they said they were only out twice, once a no power issue. They are so misinformed. I had the motherboard replaced and other issues. Now if I wash a quilt the machine stops and flashes. Then when I put it on Spin Only it shoots out water!! So I am left with soggy blankets. I am so furious and disappointed. They should have designated this a lemon four years ago. I think someone needs to instigate a class-action lawsuit against LG. Why are we putting up with this??? I plan to have my lawyer look into this. The techs are coming again on Friday. They will say the same nonsense. I will tell them it is time to sue.

It was sold to me at a good price point for the features that it has. The store employee also recommended this refrigerator to me. It has met all of my expectations since purchasing it. Built in ice maker, sleek black color, water filter system, doors open outward, pretty big freezer. It keeps my food from spoiling. Would make the freezer larger, because I like to freeze a lot of food. Also have it come in even more color options. They could off a better service warranty and make the installation process even better.

Bought an expensive LG French Door refrigerator back in 2018. In March 2020, it started making a loud grinding fan noise. We called out a technician, who apparently ordered the wrong part. A week later, a different technician came and installed it, apparently not noticing that it was the wrong part. Immediately after he left, we started getting an error code. The only way to get the fridge to still cool is to constantly throw the breaker every hour or so...and today we found out that the new replacement part is on back order and wont come for almost two months. Im mystified why LGs parts are so easy to confuse...before we called the technician, the fridge was at least working. Now its pretty dodgy. Something this expensive shouldnt break within 2 years of purchase...

I chose LG because it had the most features I wanted and it was a good price. When I shop for appliances I take it seriously and compare several different brands for the features I want and need. It has met my expectations. It was a two door fridge with a bottom pull out freezer. It included an ice machine, variable temperatures, and different drawers inside. There was an ice machine in the freezer portion, as well as one that you were able to fill a water glass up with (in the area where water was dispensed. There was also a child safety lock. I disliked how the ice machine in the freezer part always filled up the whole freezer with ice when it was turned on. I think there should be an easier option to disable this and it should be made clear that this feature can be turned off and on.

Purchased a WM2801HLA Direct Drive front load washer & matching gas dry
Purchased a WM2801HLA Direct Drive front load washer & matching gas dryer (new) in April of 2010. In the 7 years of ownership, the LG Washer has had 2 drain pump failures, 1 circuit control board failure, and a Spider Arm assembly failure (due to preventable corrosion). The 1st drain pump failed under extended 5-year warranty, as did the circuit control board. Everything else has failed on my dime and my time. The failed spider arm also took out the Balance Assembly Ring by tilting the tub, thus making contact with a fixed component and rubbing a hole in the liquid filled assembly ring - which drained the ring, rendering it noisy as a tank & useless. Our machine started making some warning sounds in the spring of 2017... Which I thought were the bearings. Being as the seal & bearings are a regular fail point, I ordered seals and bearings and pulled the machine apart. Turns out it was the Spider Arm assembly which had corroded to the point that only 1 of the 3 arms was still intact holding the drum to the support assembly. The bearing seal and bearings were still fine (although replacing the seal when you are in there is a MINIMUM to prevent future bearing failure).Just for good measure, the 2nd circuit board is now also behaving in a similar manner as the 1st one did on its way out (you cannot power up the machine without unplugging it - wait 30 seconds - and plugging it back in). This circuit board problem comes and goes, but it is not uncommon for the LG brand (do a YouTube search for LG washers failing to power up). The Spider Arm failure was due solely to using an unpainted aluminum part (spider arm), bolting it to a dissimilar metal (stainless steel drum) and exposing it to both electrolyte (soapy water, baking soda) and acids (vinegar, bleach, cleansing tablets, etc). Shiny piece of crap is how I would describe this LG washing machine. In the 15 years since Front Loaders became fashion statements, I am not aware of a single Front Load manufacturer that has corrected this spider arm fail point (its a guaranteed certainty it will fail with any sort of regular use) by either painting it in enamel, making it out of stainless steel, or abandoning the stainless steel tub for an enamel coated one. Its clear to me that this is a purpose-driven engineered failure of the washing machine. I was able to fix the machine myself (and new bearings/seals for good measure... As youre already in there) but most people cannot. Even so, it was $400 with bearings, seals, balance ring, spider arm, and enamel paint for the new spider arm to prevent corrosion thereof. When the spider arm fails, it is generally the death knell for the machine. To hire someone to fix is usually in the neighborhood of $800 (and several days to get parts/fix). Thats right around the price point of a new washer... And therein lies the motivation to junk a 6 to 8-year-old washer. Compare that to my 1996 Maytag Dependable care top load washer and gas dryer. 13 years of ZERO problems, and probably still going strong at my former house (left as part of the house sale). These front loaders could last just as long by making the terminal failures less frequent. I.E. Eliminate the Spider arm corrosion. Use higher grade bearings. Use a higher grade bearing seal. I will accept the circuit board failure, as its easy to replace. Although, there should be no need for that either if the circuits are rated for automotive use (high vibration).Ditto the drain pump failure (its downright delicate looking) but its $50 and I can change it rather quickly. Unfortunately, given that all the manufacturers are using price as the lowest common denominator, its unlikely that any single manufacturer will step up their game. If manufacturers build a better machine, theyll have to raise the price as turnover falls.A couple of takeaways Ive learned: Dont stack your washer/dryer - It makes them a nightmare to service (and these new machines demand servicing). Front load washers are crap. I believe you can eliminate the spider arm by going back to a top loader. Become handy - You need to be able to diagnose, disassemble, & repair these crappy products yourself to extend the life thereof.

My 14 month old 26 cu foot LG refrigerator completely died on 4/19. LG ONLY allows their service companies and THEIR parts for repair. 1st attempt at repair did not work. Now they tell me it will be 5/15 to get the needed part and sorry for my inconvenience. I spent the last 3 days on the phone with management and although I have been told theyd replace the unit, they have not. I have been told 3 times now that Id get a call back within 24 hrs and never have. They are totally giving me the runaround and flat out lies.I have been without a fridge for 14 days now... with several children. No milk, no cheese, etc. It is a nightmare. If I had known the horrible customer service issues, Id have just gone out and bought a different brand fridge weeks ago. I guess Im a sucker for believing that the company might actually want to provide a satisfactory customer experience. Not being on hold for 45 min while a recording repeatedly chimes your time is valuable to us.

I bought my LG refrigerator in December of 2016 and it’s only October of 2018 less than 2 years and the front of my refrigerator is leaking an acid type of stuff and all LG said was that I needed to pay for it out of my pocket because they only give a 1 year warranty. So I would not under any circumstances buy this product. Model LSXS26366S / 02.

Within 6 weeks of purchase, our washer would not turn on. We followed online instructions for a hard reset and were able to keep the machine running for a few weeks, then that process no longer worked. We called LG who scheduled technician. Purchase date July 26, first repair was mid September. Panel replaced. Washer worked for 4 loads and stopped turning on again. We called a second time. A week later a Tech came. He could not diagnose the problem even with another tech on the phone. Ultimately reported back to LG that our outlet was faulty or not properly grounded. We KNEW this was untrue because we had our electric upgraded years ago. We could not get another tech out until we proved we had proper electric. We paid out of pocket $170 for an electrician to come and test our outlet and amperage. There was NOTHING wrong with our home wiring. He suggested was a cord issue. We reported this to LG agents and were told a tech would come back with cord and replace. Tech came a week later. NO cord had been ordered. We were told it was on back order. This was third visit. Our original call to agents informed us that 3 calls to the home and our appliance would be replaced. That was third visit. (And it occurred on Oct 15 which was over a month without a washing machine.) We were told cord was on back order and would not be available until some time early November. Every time we called (four times) we were told something different about when the part would be available. The technician told us he would recommend replacement. He requested copy of receipt. We sent texted image to tech and assumed all was in place. Two weeks later, on Oct. 30 I called again for an update. I was told (after speaking to THREE DIFFERENT AGENTS) that the tech had not submitted recommendation for replacement.Agent contacted tech who said we had not provided receipt of purchase. I was also told by agent Arthur that the part on back order had in fact been sent to the technician on Oct. 23rd. (Per Arthur this came from Jamie in parts dept.) I demanded replacement. Was told to upload receipt to a portal emailed to me (which I did) and a replacement review would be implemented. Per agent Ivan this would take about 5 business days. The next day the technician called and wanted to schedule a Saturday visit for repair, because miraculously he did in fact have the part after all. My husband and I were both unable to be home, he worked and my father is seriously ill) so we declined that Saturday repair. I also was afraid that if he came out and was still unable to repair the washer it would cancel the process in motion for a replacement.I also reported this conversation to Ivan, as he called me back that same Thursday to check in and inform me that he had received my uploaded document as requested. He agreed that another repair attempt may further muddy the situation. Six business days later I called LG again and spoke to agent Mary. She said the technician had submitted a recommendation but not a request and the process had to begin again. I was furious. It was now one week into November and I am still paying for laundromat services to have clean clothes WHILE making payments to Lowes for the non working washer. Ultimately, I called from another phone to the tech on speaker (his number was on his business card) while agent Mary was on the other phone on speaker and insisted they speak to each other. The tech said he had done everything he was supposed to do and was tired of people dragging him back into the situation. He hung up on me (the tech) and Mary the agent was very apologetic but had no recourse besides starting over with the replacement appeal. The next day, the technician called my husband and said he could come that very day and replace the cord. (Funny how when people are forced to communicate in front of the customer, miracles happen.)My husband allowed him to come. He replaced the top selection panel, the front panel and the power cord. He said if the washer stops working now we will have to get it replaced because there is nothing left to repair. That was November 7th. One week later, the washer is functioning properly and I am still catching up on my wash. This took from September 12 to Nov 7th --FIFTY SIX DAYS (almost two full months, and nearly twice as long as we owned the washer before it stopped working), four technician visits, three parts replaced, out of pocket cost for an electrician to test our power (though we knew that was not the issue) and at LEAST 12 CALLS to LG to resolve.I have been a home owner since 1991. NEVER EVER in my life have I experienced more frustration in dealing with customer service. After the second unsuccessful attempt to repair an BRAND NEW washing machine we should have been offered a hassle free replacement. LG not only sells a product they cant repair, they have no willingness to make things right with their customers. I will tell everyone I know about this experience and discourage them from purchasing any product LG makes. I will never even CONSIDER their products in the future. Lifes Good ?? Not for LG customers.

UPDATED 10/10/2020: DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS!!! So... Not only am I still to hear back from LG here (since that was their response on this website) but ever since the compressor was replaced, the in-door icemaker only works when I reset it, and the extra ice maker in the freezer doesnt work at all anymore. Once again, it will take about 10 days to get somebody here to check it out, at which time I have no doubt it will then take another 2 weeks to get it fixed. Also, the finish on our 3 y/o LG washer is now peeling away below the detergent drawer. Totally disgusted by the product quality and customer service of this company.UPDATED 9/28/2020: STARDATE: 09282020 CAPTAINS LOG: 3RD ENTRY. LG replied to my prior review that they could not reach me as they had no contact info, case number, etc., but stating that they really want to help me out and make things right. Mind you, my review specifically noted their chosen repair service, A&E, so why they couldnt track me down is inexcusable and just further illustrates their apathy. Anyway, in their reply they asked me to reply in private with my contact info, which I did. After 2 weeks, I still have yet to hear back from them. Stay tuned...ORIGINAL REVIEW: Compressor failed after only 2.5 years of service. (Compared to its predecessor GE still going strong after 10 years.) After LG diagnosed bad compressor over the phone, we had to wait for two weeks for a service technician to visit. Instead of bringing the new part he simply confirmed the diagnosis and said it would take another two weeks to order and install the parts. The tech who ultimately replaced the compressor (with basically the same model, oh great!) stated that the initial tech was not telling the truth because they all carry LG compressors in their trucks as the problem is so common and widespread. We initially had to discard hundreds of dollars in food, plus we had to constantly buy ice and live out of ice chests in the garage over the course of nearly one month without the LG. Turns out there is a class action suit because of LG knowingly continuing to use the same faulty compressor, so guess Ill be adding to this complaint in a couple years!

In-door features, online connectivity and support reminders lists, Alexa compatibility are features that I like about this refrigerator and the icemaker makes the most perfect ice cube in the most amazing shapes and sizes for the whole families choices. One of the main reasons I finally decided on an LG refrigerator was the sleek design inside and outside. It is purely beautiful in design and a very beautifully functioning machine. The pricing is the first major obstacle to ownership. The size of the refrigerator is another thought to consider for apartment dwellers. It is a large refrigerator but not overly cumbersome in design so it equals out.

Our 9 month old LG French Door Refrigerator has had a horrible vibrating sound almost from the day we bought it. As a final measure before throwing it out, I took the lower rear cover off the compressor area. The compressor is vibrating very loudly, to the point of complete annoyance. I placed a small piece of 1 thick hard rubber flooring wedged above the compressor... this appears to have temporarily stopped the vibration (as has a number of other attempts to stop it including turning off the ice maker, removing the ice tray, taking jars off the inside refrigerator door, checking the level of the refrigerator, and cleaning the dust off the coils). Call goes out to LG to come get it tomorrow.

I did, I am now waiting for someone from out of this area to come work on Refrig. Its been 5 days, no call. Will call Costco tomorrow and see what happens next. The contractor offered to replace the door so I contacted an LG recommend appliance parts and service place to replace the door. A week later they returned with a substitute that did not work so they said they would be back a couple of weeks when the correct door came in, that was October 2018 and I have been waiting ever since. All my phone calls to the appliance repair people end with them saying it still has not come in, it’s on backorder. At one point I called LG who confirmed the door is on backorder! Seriously it has been almost a year. Of course I had to pay the appliance repair person for the house call even though I told them the door needed to be replaced due to dents but they said that money would go towards the new door. At this point I am not sure I am going to get a new door. Had I realized we would receive such poor customer service I never would have gone with LG, we also purchased a 65” LG TV, and washer and dryer. I hope LG will help us with our dilemma.

On August 2015, the Primary Interlock Switch on the door broke so we called a recommended appliance repairman who replaced it for a total of $170.75. The same switch broke again on February 2016, one year later, and the same repairman told us he has to order a new part and this will cost another $170.75. I called LG Company and registered a complaint about this happening twice and they told me I should have paid attention to the one year warranty at the time of purchase. They do not stand behind their products. We will not repair this microwave because we have already put $237 into this product that appears to be a lemon. This is the last LG product of any kind that we will purchase. We also had a brand new $3000 refrigerator break down the first week we purchased it. Luckily that very expensive part was covered by the warranty at the time. So far, our LG Range is still working. We have lost all confidence in LG products and will not buy anything else from this company.

We were very excited when we bought our top of the line LG washer and dryer
We were very excited when we bought our top of the line LG washer and dryer frontload set 4 years ago. Just ran into problems with a code popping up and the washer quitting after about 10 minutes of use. The only option was to drain and spin once that happened. When it spinned it sounded like a jumbo jet preparing for takeoff. Anyway, we waited 7 days for a tech to come out because there is only one authorized dealer per city I believe. He had to order a part so we had to wait 14 days for it to arrive. He put it in and ran the machine on empty and all seemed well. I mentioned the jumbo jet noise and he said thats not a good sign. Of course it didnt do it while he was there. He said if this part isnt the problem then you need a new circuit board and the jumbo jet noise would be the barrings and if that is the case its best to cut your losses. After that we put a light load in and the same thing happened all over again. Complete waste of time and money. While all this was going on, the dryer also started to smell like burning diesel fuel inside when we ran it. We didnt bother to call back. We are done playing games. We are moving on to Maytag. Never buying anything from LG ever again. I hope the LG tv we bought a year ago isnt a lemon.

We were told by the technician the newer models are cheaply made and not as insulated that is why you hear the noise. Cannot be fixed. Dealing will LG warranty company is another issue. Long hold time and issues getting a service company to come out. I would never recommend a LG product. We also have an LG microwave purchased at same time is now out. Have to wait a week to get someone out. I wish I had my old refrigerator back. Worked fine. Just decided to upgrade appliance. Big mistake.

We bought a LG Front Loader from Lowes Canada Sept 2009. We bought the washer and dryer same day and pedestals. Did a load like I do daily, went out for 20mins and came home to the washer face down on my cement floor. Took out my dryer on way down. Smashed door, cant close door now, door latch broken, front panel caved in, metal damage on both washer and dryer. 3 Struts all broken inside. Our Piping was pulled from our wall and all cracked and damaged. Why would this do a face plant after 5yrs? I have emails and phone calls into LG, awaiting some response. Terrible:(

I bought an LG bottom freezer fridge. I immediately noticed a high pitched whine noise whenever the compressor was running. LG gave me a big runaround but finally sent a tech to check it out. They gave a deposition that it was a normalnoise. All I know is that you can hear it all through the house and is extremely annoying. Potential purchasers be warned. If you dont like a noise that goes through your head like a spike, stay away from LG.

They have not been able to provide a service person to repair it. As of today I was hung up on twice, an told that since the machine is now out of warranty to call Home Depot. Really, we spend 3 months working with you, providing you with a service provider in our area and now this. Never again will I buy anything with the LG name attached to it. LG (Life is NOT good) Front Load Washer - WMM3670HWA. The first 2 sets they tried to deliver were damaged. I waited about 10 weeks to finally take delivery of the washer and dryer in October 2017 and put them into service in November 2017. Ill never buy LG again. 100% piece of crap and all LG wants to do is send someone out to repair it but they never really repair anything. The clothes never really get clean... When I use the speed cycle, it consistently gets stuck at 7 minutes and never spins out and it will sometimes time-out but more than likely I have to hit the power button to shut it off. The regular cycle will get stuck at 4 or 6 minutes and then after 30 minutes it will jump to 11 minutes and then 2 to 4 and then 11 minutes and do it again and again. I have had 3 service appointments. The 1st tech assessed it and talked to the factory and agreed to replace the motherboard, so he came back out to replace the motherboard. The next day it started doing it again. The 2nd/3rd service was a Factory LG tech who had a motherboard and control panel shipped to the house prior to his appointment without talking to us or coming out. The machine is still doing it. I was told by support it was because I use too much soap, I use their lines of how full to fill the soap!?!? I was told by their out of the US support team I would have to pay for the next service call. I was promised 3 call backs and never got them and then had the supervisor of the Alabama Tech Team hang up on me when I asked him if he would pay for my time off of work, water bill, electricity bill and extra time trying to get someone to fix this piece of JUNK!! I was told I have to have another tech come out and look at it again. I have to run a load of laundry and cross my fingers I hear the chime that says it is done. I have to run a load 4 to 5 times before it will finish a wash cycle 1 time. He told me nothing proves is it is a piece of junk and they are following the warranty. I told him I could take a video to prove it and they laughed at me. There is ABSOLUTELY NO HOPE of this ever working normal. Biggest waste of money... So regret this purchase!

I currently fighting with LG on my stove (LRE6383ST). Hey has anyone every dealt with LG, for warranty on a range? It only 6 months old, my convection oven has stop working on Easter Sunday 2017. They first told me that they would replaced it with a new stove. Now they are given me the runaround for weeks, now they tell me that is going to be another 3 to 5 business days before they know what or how to replace. They said they would repair it but we are too far away for the nearest repair person in Yorkton which living in Raymore we know that there is no repair people to help. Im so angry I was thinking of buying the fridge to match but not now.I waited for 4 weeks when I bought it because they were on back-order. Actually all appliances were due to all companies sending everything to Fort Mac after the fire which was great for them but not for anyone else. All I want is a new range that works for more than 6 months. Now LG said they would give me a store credit only after I send my stove to them in BC and what the hell am I to use till I get a new one. There is another problem. None of the LG RANGES are available nor can they tell me when. It could be months which is not acceptable. How can I cook for my family of 5. The store where I purchase this stove is helping me to deal with LG. LG you need to make this right!!!

Purchased May 2016. As others mention here, started failing a few months ago by not making ice. Now not cooling as expected. LG CS asked for a service call $110 to tell me the compressor is bad and that I am out of warranty. They told me the compressor is warranted but I would have to pay ~$500 for installation. After they forced “The Hulk” out of me, they asked me to upload my invoice and they were going to request full warranty coverage. A week and multiple calls later, no resolution. I paid little over $3k for this fridge, expecting at least 10 years out of it. Please avoid this company...

Ive owned several refrigerators and in fact, we have an old fridge in the basement which is over 10 years old and it works well. It just didnt fit in the place upstairs. Nothing is broken on that older fridge. But THIS LG fridge, is in terrible shape. I just took out some shelves to clean and my middle shelf with the glass panel and meat keeper, disintegrated in my hand. Its in pieces. We purchased an LG LDF8072ST PREMIUM dishwasher from Best Buy on Dec. 12, 2012. Since it has been installed, the performance of this product has been terrible. The drying cycle is terrible and when I contacted LG, I was informed that this was the way it was supposed to work because it is a new advanced HYBRID drying system?? Even when we put it on extra dry, it still did not dry the dishes. With the performance still terrible, 4 weeks ago, the dishwasher quit working completely. When I contacted the LG online chat service feature, it was a joke. I spent more time verifying that I had bought a dishwasher than anything else. He finally determined that my dishwasher was Shot and he ordered a technician to come out. 10 tens later, a technician from a local repair facility came out, and he verified my dishwasher was not working??? He brought no replacement parts, but verified the unit had crapped out.Two weeks later, he returned with a main board and got the dishwasher running. He tested a few cycles and declared it ready to go. I was out of town and my wife was leaving that afternoon, so she loaded up the dishwasher and started it before she left. When I got home three days later and opened the dishwasher, the dishes were still wet????? This is the first dishwasher that I have owned that drying dishes as part of the cycle is part of the dishwasher!I have gone on LGs website and written to them and have not heard back! For what they charge for their products, I would expect a better support/service system in place. Dealing with LG is as bad as dealing with Sears in the past. If this is not resolved, I will do my research and make sure my replacement dishwasher dries dishes and is not an LG.

LG French Door Refrigerator was moved to new address and wouldn’t come on at all. I figured it was the cord, got pulled or something of that matter. I called to inquire on warranty and set appointment for repair. The place it was purchased gave me the number of the repairmen and the repairman showed and said he was not certified to work on LG, call Sears. So, I called Sears and they offered a warranty that would cover all repairs and services for $274, actually $300.00 after tax. They set a 2nd appointment, they show and tell me that $900+ in repairs and I only have $500.00 worth of coverage. I questioned the repairman that warranty was to cover all repairs/pans underneath and the ice maker, which is funny because it is not hooked up to water for ice. I guess he has some spirit that will tell him and guess what, it needs a new cord. I had Sears email the so called extended warranty. It only covers $500.00 toward repairs, or $500 credit at Sears, or I can have my $300.00 back. Wow, this is service that says to the consumer, I will sell a warranty that sounds great but the actual warranty covers LG for selling a $2,000.00+ fridge that is only worth $500.00 maybe and that is only when it is under 2 years old.

For the past hour I have been reading about unsatisfied customers with the same problems with the linear compressor. Since 2011, we also have lost numerous total food items, ice maker freezing up and plugging the chute, water dripping from the dispensers and the control panel peeling as well as the load and vibrating compressor noise. I eventually removed the little tray in the dispenser so I could monitor excess water leakage to immediately clean up. Also with the control panel peeling with possible water seepage, now some of the functions on the control panel no longer work. Two other family member also purchased this same model at the same time not knowing all these eventful problems. We all have experience the same problems. Removing all the food contents and unplugging the refrigerator 2-3 times a year seems ridiculous and also trying to remove the frozen water buildup that plugs up the ice dispenser is a pain.I see the same over and over form response from LG which tells customers to contact them, but I have not read if any of these hundreds (maybe thousands) have had any resolution. I know there was a Class Action Suit and Settlement Clark v. LG Electronics USA, Inc. Case No:3:13-cv-0485-JMJMA for models sold before January 2014. Why hasnt LG been made responsible to rectify this compressor problem. I too will never buy nor recommend an LG Refrigerator to anyone.

I purchased this LG refrigerator (LFX25973ST/02). Serial number ** in July 2013 after my old refrigerator went down. My first time having a compression issue was in June 2017 days before my oldest daughter high school graduation, the compressor went down. A compressor was ordered and came within 1-2 days. Now a year and half later, on April 6 of 2019, the compressor goes again. My youngest daughter is due to graduate in June of 2019. I called my extended warranty and set an appointment for a technician to come out on Tuesday morning, April 9 from 8-12 pm. Get a call back to from the company that deals with LG products that they would need to reschedule my appointment because they would need to order a compressor. I was told it could come 1-2 business days or 2-5 business days. Well today is April 14 and still no refrigerator/compressor. No calls to reschedule a technician visit, nothing. I called my extended warranty company which I purchase with Lowe’s in Philadelphia. A supervisor was suppose to call me back because I wanted to know what was the hold up and never did. They were to expedite the part, never happened. I also called LG company and no help as well. I would never purchase a LG refrigerator again in my life. I am letting family and friends know not to purchase either. In the mean time before the compressor went I had the ice maker fixed about 3 times. Do not purchase this refrigerator!!!

We replaced a 15-year-old Kenmore dishwasher with an LG 5811 dishwasher. We installed the Sears machine in my friends home. After 2 years, the dishwasher stopped working and I had to repair a broken wire in the LG door. A year later, I had to fix another broken wire. When I spoke to LG, they were not aware of wires breaking and suggested I replace the motor assembly. I found a solution on the internet. The LG machine was quiet but never cleaned dishes as well as the rather-loud Sears.Dishes were always soaking wet after an LG wash and took hours to dry after the door was opened. We are doing as much hand-drying as we do after hand-washing dishes. Wheels on the rack failed after two years, and 1/3 of the replacements broke when pressing onto the rack. It appears to be very brittle for application. The track for the lower rack is 1/8 lower in the dishwasher than on the door. Dishes go every which way, and when the rack goes, bumps are going between tracks. The lower dish rack jams on the door seal. Theres also inadequate clearance between the door seal and the rack. After 6 years of uninterrupted and good service, my friend replaced the Sears machine. Our LG refrigerator has worked well, although the default fridge temperature setting after a power failure freezes food. Parts fall off the drawers and have to be re-installed. Humidity settings stick up a bit above the drawer, and settings are changed when something is pulled from the shelf. I would never recommend LG.

It had a nice price point to it, and I had an LG phone that I liked once that made me find the brand to be trustworthy. It absolutely has met my expectations, also I would recommend it, am surprised to have seen an LG fridge as I wouldnt of associated the brand with major kitchen appliances offhand. We have had a working refrigerator for 3 days. Since then repair is a nightmare. Only comes on their schedule (A&E) and only when they want. If you ask to speak to management they hang up on you or put you thru transferring you to all incorrect departments. When they hang up on you they block your number so you cannot call back. The 4th person that came out said the parts he was installing looked used. Gosh wonder why they didnt work. Please be a prudent shopper when buying this unit. We purchased this refrigerator (LG Linear Compressor Refrigerator) two years ago and paid about $1000 extra for a counter depth unit. That brought the price just close to $3700.00. I did not get the warranty because I thought it would last at least five years. Nope. The Error Code E-IF comes on at least once a month. The refrigerator went in bad order about six months after we bought it. Luckily the year warranty was still good. Just about every month now, I have to use a hair dryer and defrost the unit so my family can get ice and water through the door. That is not good for a unit of this price. At first, I would pull the unit out and unplugging it for at least four hours. That is not good when the thing weighs a ton and it has to sit in the middle of the kitchen. I have now found a YouTube video of another customer that uses a ladys hair dryer to defrost the unit. I have began using a hair dryer to defrost the unit as well. It is much faster. Searching the internet, I have found other people who reported this is not a great unit to buy and they too have had many problems. LG should issue a recall or reach out to the many customers who have complained about this unit. I think that will go a long way to making the consumer happy. Again, it is the ice maker that is horrible.UPDATE on 04/08/2017: I had a service person come out and they told me my electronics board and the fan at the bottom of the unit needed replacing. Mind you, we have had this unit (LG Linear Compressor Refrigerator) less than five years. The technician said company recommended a new board and a new ice fan. The board only cost .74 cents. That is right.. Only 74 cents. I find that strange. Seems to me that board was bad. The Ice Fan was a tad more costly. Anyway the job came up to over $300 to repair. Issue one. I had to wait for the electronics board and the fan to arrive. The next service date that I could get was six days from the initial visit. So, I had no ice and water through the door. We survived. We knew that the unit would be fixed in a couple days. Six days later (yesterday) the technician comes out and installs the parts. Refrigerator worked well for ONE day. Just looked at it and a different Error Code is on R-DH. Are you kidding me? This thing cost too much to have all these problems. The fix for this is to unplug the unit and then allow it to reset. So, I have to pull it out from the wall again. How many times, I can could. Maybe I should keep track. I will do this. If it does not work, LG website suggests a service call. Wow.

I and my guests are lucky we werent poisoned, though I have had some minor stomach bouts. And now think I know why.I have suffered with a horrible refrigerator from LG for almost 5 years. I purchased an extended warranty (worthless) from Assurant. It has malfunctioned since day 1. I made a few calls early on and gave up...Due to personal circumstances recently (divorce and unemployment), I needed to have my refrigerator working for my future sustenance. So before the warranty ran out, I started on this ridiculous journey of trying to get it fixed. It has turned into a nightmare. And from what I can gather, guess I am lucky my house didnt burn down from some defect LG knew about, as well as not to be dead from food poisoning.

I own an LG F8068LDP. An ** engineer might have developed the said machine while he was in a heavily drunken mood. I never saw or heard such an ** machine. It does not wash properly even if I use all varieties of washing powder and use different options. It discolors the white clothes into yellow shade and it creates small dots over the clothes. I even suspect that it creates small holes to the clothes.

It started when we got back from a family vacation in mid July 2018. We have owned our LG refrigerator for 3 years and we are a family of 7. Upon our return from vacation, we went grocery shopping. The very next day our refrigerator failed and all of our food was spoiled. We had spent hundreds of dollars at Costco and other grocery stores. Home Depot Protection Plan sent out a company to diagnose the issue. Once they diagnosed the problem, they said they couldnt fix our refrigerator. We had to make another appointment but this time with an LG specialist, which took another week to schedule. When they showed up we expected them to fix our fridge, but instead they had to diagnose and said they could not go off the previous companys diagnoses. Although, both companies said the refrigerators compressor went out. We were then told the part was on back order due to these refrigerators breaking down from LG. The part didnt come in until September. Once the new compressor was installed we were assured within 48 hours we could use it again. Again we went shopping and and lost all of our food again. Once we got the company back out, they said it was a faulty compressor and they would have to order us a new one.We have now had 2 food loss claims and 2 compressors replaced. Again, being assured the fridge would work, we bought more food. This time we realized the fridge was making weird noises and the freezer was not keeping our food frozen. After several more calls and several more service calls, our freezer is still not working properly 9 months later. Each time a new guy shows up telling us something new as to why this was happening. We have complied with everything they have asked us to do. We now have our fridge pulled out a foot away from the wall, which is a complete eye sore, and it is still not working properly. We have had over 9 calls to the Home Depot Protection Plan company for the same issue and they are still not calling it a lemon! We recently had another appointment on March 15th, 2019 for a final diagnosis, and the company never showed up! We are throwing away so much food which is a waste of our time and money. My family and I are scared to buy a lot of food because we are afraid the LG refrigerator is going to break down again. Our plan states after 2 calls for the same issue it is considered a lemon and it would be a Buy Out. We have had enough of this run around!

Many LG Models with the Linear Compressor have failed and settlement to a Class-Action Lawsuit has been reached. But, any compensation will pale to the hassle and cost of your refrigerator failure. Here is my experience: 11/17/20 - My LG refrigerator stopped cooling. It is 3 years old and still under warranty. 11/19/20 - contacted LG and requested service under the warranty. LG contacted a service company and set an appointment for Monday 11/23/20. 11/20/20 - The service company called to inform that the service technician would not come until Tuesday - 11/24/20. 11/24/20 - Tech failed to come within prescribed time, and no courtesy call from the service company. I called the service company and was told they will try to find out where the tech is and call me back with info. By 8:00p that night, no call was returned. Called service co and left message to call me back. 11/25/20 - No call from service co by 1030 am, so called LG again to request service. LG re-contacted same Service provider, and stated that I would get a call to set up appointment that night. LG made Complaint #: ** 11/25 at 2:00pm - Still no call from provider. Called provider again and was told tech would arrive between 5:00p to 8:00p.11/25 at 6:00pm - Service provider called to inform that tech was cancelling again. They could reschedule for another time after Thanksgiving. Told service provider that I will recontact LG, as the service provider was not reliable and confidence to have the company on home site was gone. 11/27/20 - Contacted LG to request service from another provider. Was told it will take an additional 3-5 days to send my request to Field Services before I can get another schedule. Informed that this run-around has gone on too long - Thanksgiving food (hundreds of $$$) are spoiling. Requested LG to replace refrigerator now. LG stated that would not do so until they get a Technician out to look at it - yet as of now that isnt even on the schedule. As of now I own a $5000 bread box.

I have purchased an LG washer dryer model FH4U1JBH2N for £839.00, and I have received the appliance with a manufacturer defect. The washer dryer does not have the right control panel (no Drying option available on screen). No other option was offered apart from keeping the washer dryer and sending a technician to fix the defect. Imagine you purchase a cabrio car after checking the photos, the store and reviews. But you receive a regular family car... the manufacturer states that they can only come to you and cut the car open to transform it into a cabrio. In other word, you purchase a new machine, and it comes with a defect, and the manufacturer are not dependable for not meeting the specifications. What sort of company is LG? Would you like to do business with a company that does not care of the consumer/customer? Feels like, that what they see are just numbers... making profit out of people who trust a brand. DO NOT PURCHASE AN LG PRODUCT unless you want to face poor customer care, poor after sales care, poor manners over the phone, poor quality of the product and most importantly 0 dependability. I had the washer-fake-dryer since the end of August 2016 and its useless as it does not do the job I purchased it for. The retailer does not want to recollect the product as they state it is LG which has to approve the recollection. LG states it is not their issue.

We purchased a new LG french door refrigerator from Spencers in January, 2015. The 2 year full warranty was purchased at that time. The refrigerator compressor broke in May, 2018. The compressor was warranted but NOT the LABOR ($600). After researching, found there are tons of LG compressors going bad. LG should stand up and warranty their bad products when they know there is a problem. There is only 2 of us using this appliance and should not have happened. $2,500+ and this is what we get. I will never purchase another LG product!!!

Bought the one Kelly Ripa advertised - should have known better - absolute
Bought the one Kelly Ripa advertised - should have known better - absolute pile of crap. The most expensive in the store at the time. Two years old and I am on the second control board. But that repair failed and after 9 weeks without a fridge I am now FURIOUS! I get back from a weekend away and find that now the freezer has failed and my floor is flooded and all my food ruined. The repair guy is on his way. But last time it took two months for the board to arrive. If it is anything else that needs replacing then that is another two months... absolutely PATHETIC PRODUCT AND PATHETIC BACK UP. As you can tell... I am extremely unhappy and frustrated about this disaster of a product. Yes, and it looks terrible also. The stainless steel is all marked with drips that will never come off.

I bought my LG Washer and Dryer back in 2007 and they are still going strong. They are big enough to fit our king size comforters so no trips to the dry cleaners or laundromats. I still love them.

When we purchased this washer/dryer set, we were told we were getting some high quality machines. Sadly the washing machine is a big disappointment. This problem from the very beginning, slimy mildew on the gasket, we had a technician come out to remove the gasket to clean it but that was not the solution. This machine is definitely defective and should not be on the market. If you have any answers please share.
