Have an LG French Door Refrigerator. After 18 mo. the compressor died. It took LG 6 weeks to figure out that they could not find an LG certified repair technician in our area. They refused to tell us how they would respond, and then gave us a refund, but refused to repair/replace the unit. They do not answer calls/faxes, and do not seem to care about their customers. I spent a total of over 20 hours on calls/emails/faxes. Every call involved 15-35 minutes on hold before getting to a live person. They kept passing me from one department to another. Totally frustrating experience. Would never buy LG again.

LG fridge bought in Aug. 2017. Worked good for almost 2 years, and then the madness started in July 2019. As of today the compressor has been changed, then a 2nd trip to fix a leak supposedly, 2 weeks after that the ice maker quits working. Technician is now saying it is the flanges on the freezer doors not sealing properly. Technician orders parts and I get a call today from the parts department saying that parts are on backorder and they have no clue how long it may be. I will never buy an LG appliance again. $2000.00 just does not buy you what it used to. If LG would just own up and say they are selling a defective product and make it right, it might not be so bad. But all they keep doing is kicking the can down the road. I am officially, over it. If something is not done soon, I am to the point of trying to see if I can do anything legally. There has to be a lemon law or something like that on products like this.

It was on sale and I had the extra money at the time and I have to take advantage of the sale at the time so I went ahead and bought it. Sleek general design and finish to give me the feeling of middle class home and in that case reminds me to do a little better so I can get the smart fridge again. It even suggested things for me and was just all around wonderful. I really do miss having the ultimate control not just a fridge.

I am currently overseas and purchased an LG F1443KD front loading washer 3 years ago and as a lot of people have experienced the rotor plastic splines have stripped out. As soon as the washer started acting up I tore into it. I can replace the rotor here for around 80 dollars, so I am not even contemplating going through the hassle of the warranty and having to pay for the service call and then be at the mercy of someone else. So this is the cheapest and easiest route by far and I will have my washer back on line in a week. In the meantime I do have a smaller unit upstairs that will suffice until this one is fixed. So will I buy another LG? I am on the fence on this one. Maybe if I get a great deal. LG has been around for many years, but they were not always called LG. What I read is they were previously GOLDSTAR.... and if memory serves me correctly, GOLDSTAR was something you would buy at the supermarket.

Error message read - ER/1F on our LG refrigerator (model LFX31925ST) exactly 1 year and 1 month (1 year warranty) after we purchased it. We unplugged unit, then plugged it back in and the message went away. Freezer food was slightly thawing and ice maker wouldnt work. Everything would be fine for a couple months, then same ordeal. 2 years after purchase, we were issued a one time extended courtesy warranty and our local repairman replaced the grill assembly fan. Now we have an annoying, vibrating, noise. We just cant win with this poor purchase ($2200). WILL NEVER RECOMMEND AN LG REFRIGERATOR. We are currently registered in the class action suit.

This washer and dryer is a real piece of junk, which I paid $2,400 for. I have a real mold problem. The washer has now developed a main bearing problem. The tub and motor have a 7 year warranty, but the bearing that holds it all together is only covered for only1 year. They will not fix it, and they are asking for $500, to replace the bearing. I was told it would be covered by the warranty, until the repairman came to my home, then informed me it is not covered. LG will not respond to my problem. We need a class action suit. As there is more than 270 pages of complaints on this site alone.

Its always a name that is mentioned while searching for equipment. The look and the space it left us once installation. We love our new LG refrigerator! Weve had it for a couple of weeks and are beyond pleased. We love the all of the space and especially having two ice makers. But LG is the currently the poorest product on the market. Stay away! I bought my LG just 2 yrs old, gone thru 3 compressor failures, 4 loads of groceries tossed out and zero care from outsourced customer service team.

I wished I can give a no star review to the LG French Door product. I bought them more than $3000 French fridge for less than 10 months and it stopped working. No cool, no freezer and non ice maker. First call went to the other part of the world and they did some diagnostic. Then told to wait 24 hours so everything would be ok. After 24 hours, to have to throw all the food. Called again, set appointment and got the confirmation email. There was nobody show up. Called again, they said it scheduled for two days later. When I ask why I got email reminder they said maybe the computer glitch that did by itself. It like a jokes. The world still quite not advanced in artificial intelligence yet. Now LG customer service is not sure if the service man will keep the appointment. If anyone read this review, please do not buy any LG product ever. Do Not Spend Money and Buy Headaches.

Not even 3 years ago we purchased a $2,400 refrigerator that was on sale. Well a month ago the fridge quit cooling and the warranty covered parts. Called and explained the problem and we were told to turn off the fridge for 24 hours and it might restart. I explained my food is going bad and do you tell all customers to turn their fairly new appliances off for a restart. The LG rep. giggled and said if I called out someone without trying a restart it would cost more money. After a month and three visits from a serviceman he tells me the fridge is bad. LG going on policy I guess with little concern about our family and us having no way of cooling our food offers to prorate our fridge giving us approximately $850. Kicker another two weeks for a check. The last of several supervisor tells me, You can still go buy a fridge if you want, you just wont get your check till the 19th. Bottom line, no concern or compassion for a customer. I will never own LG again.

We purchased an LG Fridge for our condo in 2007. We had a problem with it in September 2014. Because it is at our condo out of town there is no LG repair staff anywhere near. The local repair companies are not allowed to purchase parts and in spite of it being off warranty my own attempts to purchase the parts myself were denied. My only option was bring it into the city to have it repaired. I ended up buying a brand new fridge that was definitely not LG but was a brand that is locally serviced. Based on this poor service experience I would highly recommend against ever making any type of LG purchases.

We were so happy with our side by side refrigerator. Until after 3-1/2 years after purchase it stopped cooling. My old cheap fridge that it replaced lasted 17.5 years. I purchased this more expensive refrigerator as I thought LG was a good brand (also bought a stove & TV by them). We tried the diagnostics available through the SmartThinQ app, and it says there is nothing wrong with it. Upon researching the problem, looks like there is a class action suit against LG due to faulty compressors failing after 3 years, which they claim LG knew about, but kept selling these. Now I am out a freezer full of meat and have an expensive repair. I looked at appliance repairmen from the LG site, and the two closest to me are based out of a home and an apartment. Seemed a bit sketchy. Also found that LG replaces the condensers with the same faulty condenser, so I looked elsewhere for a professional repair company. Very disappointed in LG as I had been a happy customer up until now.

Life is not good with this LG refrigerator model LFX31925ST/00. We never have any ice. The icemaker had been replaced 3 times in 2 years. Even it works, it is not enough ice for a single person let alone a family. We are lucky enough that we purchased the extended warranty, but that doesnt help the fact that we are inconvenienced all the time with doing without ice for days on end calling repair, staying on hold, waiting for parts from FedEx, then waiting for repair men. Contacted LG... who does not care to say the least. I was told to deal with the puerile I bought warranty from because their year was up.

This is the worst refrigerator I have ever had. Customer service is also awful. I would have given this product zero stars if possible. After owning this refrigerator 7 months the ice maker in the top froze and was leaking water. The water was leaking on the floor and also into the bottom freezer. LG solution was to send someone to repair it. So we have had the same problem and it has been repaired at least 8 times. The last technician told me to disconnect the top ice maker when I told him I can’t even put new floor in my kitchen because my floor will be ruined by this refrigerator. Worst refrigerator and customer service ever. I will NEVER purchase an LG product again. This is a very common problem with this refrigerator. The model is LFXS29626W.

Ive had the LG fridge for 7 years since new. After 2 years we had to have a technician come out as the fridge section froze all the food. He couldnt get the part for over a week so he unscrewed the back from the inside of the freezer and poured 5 boiled kettles worth of water down the vents. That was to tie me over till the part arrived but it lasted 5 more years. It is doing it again, so for now I will buy a new fridge and use the LG as one hell of a big freezer.

I have never wrote a bad review before, but this LG Direct Drive TrueBalance Washing Machine is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. My water bill has jumped 20% and we have to babysit the washer daily to get our clothes washed. On average it take 3 to 4 time to even out clothes to get them dry and finish the cycle. Never again will I buy a LG Product. Wish I would have spend time looking at reviews before I purchased. I hope this helps other people before they buy.

We bought our top loading washer from Home Depot about 4 years ago. Thank goodness we invested in the extended warranty at the urging of the Home Depot salesman. I am sure he had heard many complaints about this brand. We had the washer less than a year and the drum broke. It took more than 11 days to get the washer fixed. I have 6 kids. Think of the laundry! Nightmare! The customer service could care less that having a broken washer was a huge inconvenience. Also, what does that say that MANY people were having issues with their machine and the wait list for service took 2 weeks?Fast forward 1 year and now we are dealing with a broken pump and the washer will not drain. We are on day 14 with a broken washer. The part has been ordered but LG did not rush it so we are literally at the mercy of freight shipping. We still have those 6 children. Laundry = Nightmare! Aside from the mechanical failures, the washer does not get our clothes as clean as our old, top loading washer that we had for 18 years. We often have dark brown mold splotched streaked across our clothes, sheets and towels. I bleach a lot and the musty mold is still an issue. I am continually cleaning the mold from the rubber seal. This is an awful appliance. Very disappointing! It is an expensive piece of junk. I do not recommend anyone purchase an LG washer unless you are a glutton for punishment.

When my ancient Whirlpool washer finally died in the fall of 2012, we decided it was time for an upgrade. My partner found a good deal via a big-box retailer for an LG washer and dryer... good stuff, right? From day one, the dryer has been nothing but an albatross around our necks. Almost immediately it begin to fail after only a few uses. The rather abrupt LG technicians kept stating that our venting system was to blame. We cleaned it carefully and still had problems. Finally, an independent technician suggested we route the vent directly to the outside, which we did. Never mind the built-in vent system worked adequately with our old dryer... Well play the game. Finally, the dryer seemed to work well.Recently, my daughter was preparing to dry her clothes and noted that one of the electrical breakers had flipped due to the dryer activation. We re-flipped the breaker and the dryer was activated but did not dry. Nothing like a little midnight unloading of wet clothes and rigging a temporary clothesline, eh? Of course, we contacted LG and received the standard line Did you check your vent? We did receive a technician referral but of course no service call until Monday, so we experienced a pioneer lifestyle with our clothing needs for the weekend. No real problem, just a hassle. The friendly technician spent approximately five minutes finding the problem, a burned wiring harness. Yep, parts to be ordered and over $300.00 in repairs. The technician remarked that it is wise to stay away from LG, Samsung, and Kenmore appliances as they contain substandard parts. He didnt have to tell me twice. Ill fix this thing, of course. And then Ill go shopping for a good AMERICAN brand like I should have done in the first place. Moral of the story, STAY AWAY FROM LG!

We bought this refrigerator less than 2 years ago (12/2016). A few weeks ago it stopped cooling. A serviceman from the store where we bought the refrigerator came out to service it, and said the coil with the refrigerant was leaking. BUT, he couldnt fix it because LG only lets its own servicemen fix this problem (according to the serviceman thats because so many LG refrigerators refrigerant coils leak). The serviceman said LG would contact me within 24 hours to set up an appointment. 3 days later we hadnt heard from LG. We again called the store where wed purchased the refrigerator and then said they would call LG directly. Even then (after a week without a refrigerator) LG jerked us around. First, someone would be out the next day. Then 3 days later. After someone finally came and fixed the refrigerator, it stopped working again 3 days later! This time we went directly to the store where we had purchased the model, and they agreed to replace the refrigerator. LG wont do squat to rectify their defective product. DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR.

We bought a side by side with freezer on bottom and chilled water and ice dispenser on door. It cost $2,500 new. Today, less than 3 years old, it has stopped cooling, freezing and making ice cubes! In my opinion, this is not good reliability. I do not believe that I would purchase LG again. Also, I have an extended 5 year service contract with them. So I called them for service repair on Friday, and they said they could be at my house in 4 days (on Tuesday). This also made me negative about LG, they should have service much more quickly than this!!! My opinion, consider other options before buying LG. Jack

DO NOT, DO NOT ever buy an LG washing machine as ours is two years old and I have to spin dry one towel at the time while the rest of the wet towels are in the sink waiting. LG executive, Tyree, told me they would send a service person which they never did, however. Lowes, where we bought the machine has given us an appointment with an LG technician. This machine was $650 and has never worked correctly and this is LGs second service in a year. When the warranty runs out in 3 years, I will get rid of this piece of junk and buy a cheap washer and hope to keep it like I did my last one that lasted 25 years. LG does not need to be in the business of washing machine and whoever designed them needs to be fired and they need to give all of us a replacement. Ill never buy anything by LG as our new $750 TV would stop working from time to time and my son in law took off the back and tightened all the leads and it works fine, now. Now, why would you sell a tv with loose leads? LG is a worthless company!!!

Quite simply - THE MOST DANGEROUS OVEN... We have had 3 burns due to the smoothtop surface overheating during self cleaning cycle. If you have this oven - BEWARE. One burn was severe. The other problems, the touchpad works...then doesnt work. You never know when it will not comply. Tragically, Christmas dinner was 4 hours late due to this problem. We bought the LG Dishwasher a few years ago, partly because it was considered one of the most quiet (the kitchen is open to the family room and the builder supplied dishwasher was so loud, it was impossible to do anything social during a wash cycle). But we also were sold on the purported quality and features. We got it and installed it. It was quiet as claimed. But it didn’t clean anything. Often, the soap dispenser wouldn’t open. It filled the inside with hardened calcified soap. We called LG, to no avail. They told us it must be our water pressure (we are on city water and the pressure is just fine). They also said that even though we had a warranty, that issue wasn’t covered and if they sent someone out and it was confirmed that the issue wasn’t warranted, we’d be charged $150 as a minimum visit. We already paid a lot for the appliance and didn’t want to get stuck with another bill. So we managed, mostly precleaning the dishes, washing them again when the soap didn’t dispense, and dealing with the calcified buildup in the inside. The drain hose leaked under the cabinet, and we were able to use drain hose tape to get by. Well finally, the water poured into our finished basement during a drain cycle late last night, right before we were all going to bed. We pulled the machine and found several leaks in the drain line. Thinking we could get a universal hose, we went to Home Depot where we originally bought it and discovered that we need to get the first part of the drain hose from LG and that could take weeks. That was it. We bought a Frigidaire Galaxy series for half the price and it arrives next week. We hope this will do what it’s supposed to do-wash dishes.

After my husband returned home from Iraq, we thought we deserved an upgrade
After my husband returned home from Iraq, we thought we deserved an upgrade of our 15 year old hand-me-down washer and dryer. We purchased the LG front loading washer (model # WM2487HRM). It began smelling horribly, not long after. We have had to leave the door and the dispenser drawer open, put dryer sheets in to help with smell in between washes, regularly try to wipe out the disgusting rubber seal, after every wash, because of the remaining water, and still it stinks. The printing on the machines is rubbing off, and the seams on the exterior of the dryer seem to be disintegrating. Every time I wipe it clean, the color of the machine (red) wipes off! We also have terrible vibrations with it. On January 18, 2012, we had a service technician come to check why it sounded like it was so far off balance, that it was going to crack the interior. Of course, the extended warranty provider, Federal Warranty Service Corporation, sent out the repair company of their choosing. He checked that the machine was indeed level (we already tried that), still it shook so bad that he had to remove the top of the washer, and proceeded to tell me wow! You should see how bad it is! That thing was going crazy inside there! He said the bearing was bad, and warned that with continued use, it might seize up. He also said that he wouldnt even attempt to replace it, because of the man hours it would require, and they only pay him a flat fee of $95 to repair it. It just wasnt worth his time. He said he would contact the service contract provider with the recommendation, to replace the machine altogether, and even recommended that we get a top loader next time! We still havent gotten any resolution, and our washer is worse than ever! LG, Home Depot, and Federal Warranty Service Corporation should all be ashamed of themselves for producing, selling, and attempting to maintain service contracts on this washing machine! It is the last time I will I purchase from any of them! Class action suit? Count me in!

When our old refrigerator quit a little over 2 years ago, my wife and I shopped around and decided to purchased a new LG refrigerator. When the door panel control indicated we needed to replace the air and water filters, we ordered replacements but before the replacement arrived the cooling shut off completely and we lost everything in the refrigerator. We later learned that if the filters are not replaced immediately the cooling shuts off. A little over a week ago and without filter replacement warnings, the refrigerator and freezer stopped working altogether. Again, we lost everything in the refrigerator and freezer. LG customer service was not helpful. We were told a repairman would contact us within 24 hours. 48 hours later my wife tracked down the repairman. I note it was not the repairmans fault. The repairman said the electrical operating panel, compressor and something other part were all bad and had to be replaced. Basically rebuilding the refrigerator. Repairman would order the parts. 6 days later we are still waiting. Using a dorm refrigerator from my office to keep milk cold for our two kids. LGs customer service has been totally inadequate and very disappointing.

We had four continuing issues with the LG fridge cooling problems. When I purchased my LG refrigerator 3 years ago, the salesman promised me that this refrigerator will last 15 years. In addition, I purchased the 3-years warranty on top of the 2-years warranty that LG provided, so the cooling warranty should be covered by LG for 5 years. Each time I phone the customer service, they werent really helpful, all they do was transferring me to an extension number. Also, the customer service was very rude and unprofessional, I try to ask for a solution for my fridge problem and each time they hung up on me. Finally, I would not purchase any LG products ever again. LG you lost my trust.

I received delivery from Home Depot of my LSG4513ST range on December 16, 2020. I immediately began smelling gas when the range was on, but was told that this was normal and that the oven had to run for a while and it would dissipate. The gas smell did not dissipate and was and is detectable by my gas meter. Home Depot was not able to get anyone out to my home to check on the range until 12/31. On 12/31, the plumber/gas fitter came to my home, inspected the range, and said that it was defective and would need to be replaced. I was told that I had to contact LG myself which I did. It took LG until 1/4 to send their representative who is ASAP solutions. ASAP solutions inspected the range and said that it needed a new igniter and manifold. Evidently, there was what they call a “bulletin” on this new $2200 range. In other words, it had defective parts that were known to be defective when I purchased the range which I waited multiple weeks for as it was on back order. In fact, the range wasn’t even manufactured until October of 2020 and was shipped from Korea. Instead of replacing the range, the LG representative from ASAP solutions said they were going to replace the igniter and manifold. I was told that it would be at most a week to order the parts and repair the range. That week has now come and gone and The LG subcontractor is not even answering my emails as to when this will be resolved. I would just like to add that I understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic and that it is not business as usual. I have had to have numerous people come to my home at the expense of my own family’s health to go through this process to still not have a working range. I have not had a working range since December 16, 2020 prior to the delivery of this very expensive range that has never worked, and by the way, I purchased an extended warranty. If I may, I would also like to add that my family has had to go without a range during the holidays and there seems to be no resolution in sight.

I bought a LG refrigerator (model no. LFXS30766S) on December 2015. After two years of service the compressor went bad. I was able to get LG to replace the compressor, since it was still under its 10 year warranty although the repair cost me about $250 on labor cost. Now on February 2020 the second compressor when also bad. It is my conclusion that LGs linear inverter compressors are complete garbage and LG shall issue a recall and replace them or issue refunds to all customers with this problem.

Got set as gift from brother-in-law after wife helping during death of his wife. The washer has worked fine since 2008. The dryer we have had checked several times, always says vents needed cleaning. Now that I have read reviews of how having to do exactly what we have to do is dry 4-5 times, I am convinced no need to spend any money on this high dollar product. Will purchase a decent dryer... Used to be a washer dryer lasted 20-25 years. What a shame on LG! Never again.

My husband and I bought a house with a LG range already present in the house. After using the convection oven for about ten months I noticed blue specks in our food. I investigated the inside of the oven to discover the blue enamel was peeling. I called a repair company who called LG, they requested pictures be sent of the oven. LG said they would provide a partial refund if we could produce a receipt for the range since it was out of warranty and irreparable. We can not produce such document because it came with the house. I demanded to know if the paint we digested was toxic, the customer service rep said he would find out, but would not pay for the stove.Another week (three now) went by, I have a recorded message from another customer service rep stating they will not pay for the range and also could not tell us if the paint was toxic for another MONTH!!! Because it was made in Korea!!! If the paint is toxic, we will be dead in another month I guess. Any product used for cooking, peeling paint containing unknown substances from Korea MUST be recalled!!! LG may refuse to replace my range because I dont have a receipt, but they should at least offer to pay medical bills for blood testing of the four people whom ate the unknown substance in their Korean enamel.I wanted to help others avoid this same trauma so I took to Facebook, where LG accused me of spamming and blocked me from their page to hide this toxic secret. I also still have this message saved to my phone. Like every other complaint on this site, I am sure they will say they take pride in their product and refer me to the website. The fact is the website, the company, customer service, no one knows or cares what we ingested and until this is fixed this product needs to be taken off the market.

I have an LG Tromm Washer and Dryer. I have only had it for a few years. As others have complained, the washer has a foul smell due to the mold that grows as a result of the water getting trapped in the rubber door seal (poor design/manufacturer defect). Its not like LG did not know about it. Look at all of the complaints. There is definitely negligence on their part at this point. At the very least, there should have been a label put on the machine that warns you not to use it in a small space, which is unrealistic since most laundry rooms are not large. How come this product has not been recalled due to the health hazard? In addition now, I cant find the reason why the dryer does not make any noise (although it does turn on) and the washer wont even turn on! Maybe this is a blessing in disguise to get rid of these machines. Unfortunately, most people are being duped out of a small fortune to buy them without being fully informed of the health hazard. This may need additional legal action. My child now has respiratory problems/asthma and is on medication daily. I have also developed an adult-onset asthma.

2 yr old LG French door LMX31985ST/0. Repaired at 16 months (defrost grill in freezer) $300. Repaired at 28 months 4x still not working (1/4/16 to today 2/12/16) error code F ds. LGs response to us was reset the fridge using the breaker from the electrical service box). We did and have had to do for 6 weeks. Repair company replaced at our expense: freezer defrost sensor $175 parts/labor. Main board parts and labor $175. Sensor for fridge $300 parts and labor. So after paying $950 in repairs over the course of 1 year and 1 month the fridge today was dripping water on the floor from the ice maker which we find is NOT WORKING now. No error code even on the fridge!! The fridge is not cooling, the ice maker is not working, and the freezer has thawed everything overnight (so the defrost is stuck on??) So 4 repairs and it is still not working, in fact it is ON but NOT WORKING! LG will do NOTHING like this has never happened before??? So after spending $950 for repairs and $3300 for the fridge in (Oct 2013) we have a piece of junk!

We purchased a LG washer and dryer. The washer is terrible. It takes twice as long to wash your clothes, whites come out yellow, the clothes are not clean. They spent a lot of time putting a lot of bells and whistles on the machine, however it does not do what is intended to do, wash clothes. Our old washer - we washed all the bedding. We tried to wash the down topper from the bed, so much air, would not get wet enough to wash. What a waste, worst we have ever had.

WT1101C - I bought this LG top loading washer two years ago. It was great. It replaced a front loading washer that had always been a pain. I love the amount of water it used and how efficient it was. It is so big, it will wash my king size duvet cover. Now, not only is the washer constantly off balance, it will actually fill the washer almost to the top to wash clothes. Today, it spent four hours washing my sheets. As it is off balance, I constantly have to check it and at this point, restart it, to spin only in order for it to finish the wash. Even better, I can find only one repair company who will come out and they want $250 to look at it. So much for customer service. I thought it was bad to replace my last washer after 7 years. This is ridiculous. I would not recommend this washer at any price.

I purchased LG wash machine model WT-1501CW in 2016. The wash plate started to pop up. When I removed it, I noticed the groves were plastic and the agitator was metal which caused it to wear down. I ordered the part online for $60. When I tried to replace it, the agitator bearing was welded to the transmission shaft so it was IMPOSSIBLE to remove. I called LG and they referred me to an LG authorized repair company. The repair company come out and CONFIRMED that the agitator bearing was welded to the transmission shaft and there is no way to repair. The appliance repair company and I have both reached out to LG several times. We are both receiving the run around. This is clearly a factory defect. I am going on three weeks without any assistance from LG on how they will rectify THEIR faulty machine.

I dont write reviews but this company is terrible even the authorized repairman will tell you to find a different brand. I bought the bottom freezer fridge five years ago. Since then Ive had the ice maker break which is $200. A repairman out twice to fix other fridge related problems and now the compressor blew. The parts are covered but labor is $500. The worst customer service ever. Im chatting with them online and they provide three service companies that are authorized LG repair guys are use, one of them to come out and diagnose my room refrigerator. Once they tell me the problem I call LG to see if its covered under warranty. I purchased a new warranty through LG to find out that its nothing is covered. My recommendations do NOT buy this refrigerator and if you do buy all warranties. At the end of the day Im over $800 into this refrigerator on top of the initial purchase price. Not acceptable. And by the way the LG technical support when you call isnt some Third World country and they dont understand half of the things youre telling them.

I agree with the majority of the people regarding LG fridge. I purchased an expensive counter depth fridge 5 years and 7 months ago and it completely broke down. Not the compressor but a leakage within the wall of the fridge so it cannot be repaired. I paid $125 to the LG technician to come and inspect to tell me that it cannot be repaired and that I should get a new fridge. The technician also let me know that the leakage was a manufacturing issue not wear and tear. I am aware of the LG settlement and was shy of 7 months to claim anything. LG refuses to do anything about it. So basically all their products are useless. I will never purchase another LG product and will make sure that everyone I know do the same. Three months ago I moved into a home with newer LG appliances. Recently, the freezer and refrigerator stopped keeping the food frozen or even cold. This was on Friday evening, so I searched online for possible solutions. I found a YouTube video of someone with the same fridge as I who had the same problem and he solved it by unplugging the fridge and plugging it back in. We did that, but it did not get colder. On Saturday I called the 1-800 number listed in the Smart Diagnosis section of the manual, hoping for this to tell me what was wrong and get it repaired quickly. The employee who answered the phone said they did not have the software to do this. He could send out a technician, but nobody would be available until after the weekend. I had to take the day off work to stay at home, waiting, only to be told that the technician didnt have a new compressor with him. He said he would order one, and although it would be here the next day, the technician didnt have the availability to come back until three days later. By this time, we had to throw away literally everything in both the fridge and freezer. Hundreds of dollars worth of food, not to mention all of the money spent having to eat at restaurants because of the spoiled food.Another day off work and the technician was able to replace the compressor. Thankfully it was still under warranty. He told us to wait until the next day to fill it with anything that needs to be cold as to ensure it is working correctly. He said that he hadnt had a replaced compressor fail yet. We waited 48 hours before we went back to the grocery store to fully replace what we had lost. That was yesterday.Today, I noticed the ice melting and dripping through the dispenser. I call the 1-800 number yet again, and am told, yet again, that Smart Diagnosis is unable to be used because of the lack of software. Unfortunately this time the employee says that she is unable to schedule a technician to visit because that is unavailable to her. When asked to speak with a supervisor I was told that there wasnt anyone available, but someone from the corporate office would contact me within 72 hours. 72 hours? No supervisor or manager available for simple customer service? UNACCEPTABLE!! This appliance needs to be replaced, not bandaged with defective parts. Parts fail, I understand that, but the level of customer service from LG has me unwilling to ever buy another LG appliance.

We purchased an LG washer in July of 2014. I have not liked it from the start - tub is too deep, fills with very little water to wash clothes, feel clothes are not clean. The washer broke on July 30 and repairman from Sears, where we purchased washer and dryer, came the next day. He advised us that valve was broken so water was running in constantly. He told us he would have to order it from South Korea (what?). Not acceptable but he could not order it in U.S. I called Sears Parts and was told they had the part and would send to us. The part arrived on August 3, and the next day two more valves arrived from Texas. I called tech dept but was told our tech had set August 10 for repair and they could not change that!! How screwed up is this? Never purchase LG again nor will I purchase appliances from Sears. Totally disgusted. Tqq.

Our LG LFXS24623 fridge experienced a compressor failure at 2 years after purchase. LG shows a 10 year warranty on the compressor however that is on the parts ONLY. I spent $400 for a Sears tech to install the free part. According to the tech he is replacing compressors on LG fridges constantly and there is a class action lawsuit against LG for compressor failures. In addition to the compressor issues, the ice maker is faulty and requires constant fidgeting to make it work. This is another known issue on LG products. The only thing worse than the design/build quality on LG appliances is their customer service. They are in some foreign country, they read off a script, are extremely unhelpful, will not pass you to a supervisor on request, etc. Life is definitely NOT GOOD with LG.

Purchased a LG electric range, dishwasher and refrigerator and microwave. My wife and I decided this would be a present for both of us for our 25th wedding anniversary. We decided to get the top of the line stove with the convection stove, black glass top self cleaning range. The oven was blue inside and all the appliances were stainless steel. Within a few months we used the self cleaning feature on the oven and afterwards, the stove digital display showed an error and nothing worked. We called and after a several weeks, we had a service person come and repair the oven. It seemed that an electrical component had burned out. We again after a month or so used the self clean feature and once again display showed an error and once again waited for a repair. The second repairman told it this the same electrical component had burned out. He informed us that it was an LG design flaw which vented the 500 plus degree cleaning temperature vented partially on the circuit board burning it out. He said to avoid this, to not use the self cleaning feature. So this top of the line self cleaning oven had to be hand scraped clean. We have now noticed that the outer door on the oven is starting to fall off. The inner door is in place and the only thing holding the outer door on right now is the handle. Why of course we are out of warranty and now do we pay outrageous service call fees and parts or let it fall the rest of the way apart and trash it? The refrigerator shelves are flimsy and several have cracks and it takes, if you dont use it, approximately 4 days for the ice bin to fill. Its too bad that you can spend a great deal of money on a product and have problems with it several months after making the purchase. My wife is a Real Estate Broker and will make sure no new or homeowners needing appliance to steer clear of LG products.

We purchased an LG lsxs26326s side by side refrigerator (as well as a microwave, oven & dishwasher as we remodeled our kitchen) in April 2015. On Dec 16, 2016 it had stopped cooling. Fortunately, we have a 20+ yr old Kenmore in the basement we were able to move all the food to. Had our own repairman come out Sunday to see what the problem was. Determined the compressor in our ONE AND A HALF YEAR OLD refrigerator had gone out. Now, this part has a TEN YEAR warranty through LG (hm, maybe that should have told us something) HOWEVER, only the PART is covered NOT labor. Sunday night I call LG Service and after a very long and frustrating discussion with someone who barely spoke English, I was informed a Letter of Authorization would be sent by email to our repairman so he could order the part. I requested a rush on that letter as it was a week until Christmas & we had family coming from out of town. Monday, no letter. Tuesday, still no letter. I call again Tuesday night and am informed they tried calling the repairman and got no answer or return call (I know this is a lie as I spoke with them that day to confirm contact from LG). At this point, I demand to have the matter escalated and to speak to a manager. I get put on hold for a while and FINALLY get a manager, whom I might add speaks English clearly (YAY). She proceeds to tell me something completely different than I was told by the previous two reps. Stating they have to talk to the tech while they are at the refrigerator and able to guide them through what to check. THEN, once diagnosed as the compressor the letter of authorization would be sent so the tech could order the part, which would take 3-5 DAYS to receive!!!Now, I am getting angry. She tells me they had available techs on the 20th, 21st & that day (22nd) so I could have just had their tech come out and diagnose it and they would have had the compressor the next day. I told her there was no way in hell I was paying THEIR techs an arm & a leg to fix the refrigerator I purchased a YEAR & HALF ago when my guy was only charging me $60/hr!!! Her response was simply OH. Finally, she send the letter of authorization by email while still on the phone with me. Wednesday morning, I call my tech & they have the email (THANK GOD). They order the part. Thankfully, it comes on Thursday and our guy comes out that evening to replace it. Now, a month later, we are having problems with the ice maker not making ice. UGH!!! I wish we would have just gone with different appliances. I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase another LG product. Purchasing these appliances has literally been a nightmare. They should have paid us to take them for what we have been through with all these appliances!

Appliance group discounts promotion at Home Depot for matching set of fridge, stove, dishwasher. I dont think LG appliances are very durable whereas Kenmore, Frigidaire, Maytag, etc. last longer. Ice and water dispenser combo on door makes it easy to get a drink but also drips or leaks as outages. Cartridge change for water filter not convenient to access to change and is costly. LG French Door Bottom Freezer Counter Depth Model LFC21776ST - Purchased this $2500+ refrigerator in March 2011. From the reviews, it seems we were lucky to have gone 3 years without a major issue. Our freezer stopped freezing this week and now the refrigerator has stopped altogether as well. We called our reliable appliance co. and they wouldnt touch the sealed unit for fear of voiding our manufacturers warranty of 7 years on parts. Contacted LG and were referred to Affordable Service Appliances in San Diego who were authorized reps for LG. Yelp reviews for this place were absolutely HORRIBLE but the rep came out and said we need a new compressor (in less than 60 seconds of looking at unit) and quoted $580 with LG picking up cost of parts needed. After reading all of these reviews, we are shopping for another refrigerator rather than wasting money on a short lived repair. Luckily we have ALL LG products (microwave, range & dishwasher) and are looking forward to them failing too. Buyer beware.... DO NOT BUY LG.... Remember they use to be Lucky Goldstar which was a low quality electronics company. Should have looked at reviews before purchasing a refrigerator with a linear drive compressor.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator LFX25961AL back in August of 2010. The refrigerator just stopped working on October 26th, 2013. The light remained on inside of the refrigerator and it failed to cool the food inside. I also noticed that the refrigerator was running much louder than usual. The ice inside of the ice maker began to melt and later that evening, the refrigerator had completely stopped working. All the items that I had inside the refrigerator and freezer have spoiled. I called the company concerning the warranty that I purchased along with the refrigerator and they told me that they could come out on Tuesday with no guarantee of the repairs being covered under the warranty. I have a refrigerator full of spoiled food and I am quite upset. Ive only had the product for three years. When you pay thousands of dollars for a product is this acceptable? I understand that things happen but this product should be fine for at least five years. I find this unacceptable. I began to search the internet for answers and I see that many of the customers who bought this product are having the same problem. I wish I could return this faulty product. I will never purchase anything from LG again. Buyers Beware.

I am very upset with my LG purchase. Back in January 2019 my stove was delivered & installed. Everything seemed fine until I decided to clean the stove using the self cleaning feature on Friday, 8/9/2019. After using the self cleaning feature the enamel on my stove is burnt in the corners of the door. During initial conversation with the Warranty Department I was given a case number and told I would be contacted to arrange an appointment time for their technician to come take a look at the stove. Two days later I receive a phone call from a service company explaining that my cosmetic defect is not covered by the warranty and if they come out and determine it is not a manufacturer defect I will have to pay a service fee. I shared with her my concerns of over-heating or possible burnt enamel and explained that I did not feel comfortable with this scenario.I called LG back and they decided to send out a Certified LG technician. He called this morning 8/14/19 and said he would be here between 2-5. When he arrived (5:10pm) today he said has no idea what caused these marks, he even noted that he could not test the oven because it happens during the cleaning cycle when the door is locked. He placed a call to his tech team back at the office. Even he gets placed on a LONG hold! He shares with me that he needs to get to his next appointment and will call me back with their determination. When he called me back I was told they are not going to cover the defect that it is burnt on food. (Huh!!)First how do they know. They were not here? The technician that physically looked at the stove and did not come up with this scenario - a person on the phone did??? But even with this possible scenario - I asked how can food get in-between the gasket and the door? Yet there is no burnt on food anywhere else in the stove. Not even on the floor of the stove! He tells me there is nothing he can do to call customer service again. Now we are waiting on a 2nd technician visit. Please keep in mind I have literally spent hours on the phone with each call. Taken 3 hours off from work today and will need to take additional time off on Friday for the second appointment. I hope this nightmare ends soon.

My husband and I are teachers and dont make much to begin with, and we are only paid 10 months out of the year. It is our responsibility to be conservative with our money so we often buy in bulk with coupons. Well, last year after we came home from our vacation (not a glamorous one either) to a very hot refrigerator and $400 worth of food that had gone bad, we called and fought with LG customer service who were very rude to us. They refused to replace the food but because it was less than 6 months old and under warranty, they sent someone to fix the problem. Now this summer, we went away again, and came home to a fridge full of moldy food again and another $300 worth of food. At this point, we cannot afford to replace much of it because we wont see another check until the end of September. We were trying to budget and plan ahead. We paid for the extended warranty from PC Richards who has been wonderful thus far. So, they sent someone out to take a look at it, but we were told that this is just a trait of the LGs which have fans that are known to shut down if the food cabin gets too cold and sometimes there is a glitch where the fan wont turn back on again unless the refrigerator is unplugged then plugged in again. So both my husband and I have been on the phone with LG customer service, and they have been nothing but rude. I was told that it was not in the customer service policy to replace the lost food. When I asked them why they had that policy, the supervisor was unable to tell me. She just said that that was their policy. All I asked was why, but she refused to tell me. If I treated the students and parents in my classroom the way LG treated my husband and me, I would be out of a job.

Using a LG washing machine is like having a full time job. It take 90 minutes on a good day to do a what they call a 57 minute wash cycle. I have spent as may as 4 hours trying to do a load of towels, finally had to remove half the load and start again. Machine has flooded my basement four times because the water doesnt shut off when done. You have to shut the water off during the spin cycle. During the spin cycle you have to stop and level the load several times. I would beat my clothes on a rock before I buy another LG washing machine.

In November 2014, purchased a LG Double door with a bottom freezer drawer for nearly 3000.00. Had repair company to come out to address issue with ice maker only dispensing crushed ice. New assembly was ordered and necessary repairs made. Next, I noticed in a certain angle approaching the refrigerator there appeared what looked like a dent in the door. Upon examining more closely, the problem is a imperfection in the metal which gives such an appearance. Extremely annoying. Service Tech once again dispatched and saw what I saw and said the door would be replaced for there was a imperfection in the metal giving the appearance of a dent. Yesterday he calls and says LG would not be replacing the door for this was cosmetic. They said I could buy a replacement door. What a joke! LG has lost a loyal customer as a result of such a care less concern.

WT5001CW - We are still having significant problems with our LG washer. The latest issue involves the troubled spin cycle particularly when washing items in the Towel Setting. While trying to wash just 3 bath towels along with several smaller items, our washer will become unbalanced during the spin cycle subsequently causing our machine to stop operating! After having to stop, adjust, and rearrange items, the machine will resume the spin cycle only to have the washer once again cease normal operation requiring me to repeat the process of pulling out these wet items. As I indicated previously, I believe this chronic balance problem is due to a defective LG software issue rendering our washer unsuitable for the ordinary purpose for which it was sold to us. This LG washer is defective. We cannot operate the washer for which it was intended.

I called customer service for my LG True Balance Direct Drive Washer which I purchased in 2012, so its 5 years old. It has been going off balance and slow to fill with the dribble of water coming from the internal outlet in the washer. It would take all day to do one small load of wash because of this. The phone service is outsourced to India. When I finally got someone who could understand the problem, they said it would cost $350 for one of their service people to come out. COME ON! When I said that was ridiculous, they said they knew it was a bit pricey. REALLY?The smart diagnosis app would not download. When I went on YouTube to see if I could figure things out, I saw the little blue rinse cap emit water on the cycle, WHAT A SURPRISE, mine never did work, I didnt even know it was supposed to shoot water into the washer. I called an independent appliance repairman who came out for $49, which would go toward parts and labor if I needed it. He took one look at my 5-year-old LG WASHER and said, These are nothing but problems, I have left homes with people crying over the problems with these washers. Dump it and get a G.E.washer. LG used to be GoldStar which was the worst brand out there, they just remarketed themselves. I wanted to cry. I spent A LOT of money on this set and for a repairman to not even open the back panel- speaks volumes. He opened the lid, spun the barrel, and looked at me and said, You have more than one problem here, its going to cost at least $400 to repair, are you sure you want to do that with a machine 5 years old? I did extensive research on these products before I purchased with Consumer Guide and Reviews. I thought I did a good job with choosing wisely. Repair guy said: They all work good when they are new.

I bought an LG washer model number WT5001C in April 2012. One year, the water pump is so close to the tub that the tub knocked the water pump out of place causing it to cut into the water outlet. This resulted in water being released all over the floor. In trying to get this repaired, I discovered that LG parts are not stocked here in Dallas but at one distributor. And the best case lead time is 7 days to get the new water pump.

This is the WORST appliance I have ever owned! Second day after receiving it we had to call repair out due to ice forming in freezer. So much ice in freezer we couldnt pull out the drawers. LG said it was a design flaw and fixed it. Fast forward. Luckily we had taken the extended warranty out for 5 years. In the 5 years we owned it before the warranty was up we had to have it repaired a total of 5 times with the last repair being the refrigerator totally stopped cooling. LG replaced the circuit board and said that should fix it. It didnt. They came back out and replaced the compressor. This fixed it but not totally. We were without a refrigerator for 1 full month. We had to turn the temperature lower than what it was actually cooling. I should have called them out again at that point but it was cooling. About a month after the warranty was out it stopped cooling to where it should be. Called repair again. They refused to work on it. Said they did everything they could do. Plus if it was the compressor again we would have to pay for labor. Also if it was the control panel, they only have refurbished parts because they dont make that anymore. We were concerned about it not being fixed after paying a bunch for labor so decided to have it taken to the dump after only 5 years and purchased a different brand that is made in the USA. We originally paid $2800 for this piece of crap!

It has been a frustrating experience, as they are malfunctioning more than they are working! Last year, I waited for months just to get the right parts and then they break down again. Very disheartening after spending so much money because you feel you are buying quality. This is surely not the case!

I went to Lowes again this morning (1-20-20) and talked to the store manager and he said I had to have 3 service calls before LG will do anything about it. He claims he will look into it and will get back to me later today. Now its hell to have a brand new LG machine that 3 out of 4 months you cant use. On the surface, this is an awesome refrigerator. It looks good, has lots of space and makes ice like crazy. Too bad its broken down 4 times in as many years. The first time was because it wasnt properly ventilated. Never mind that our Frigidaire that we keep in the garage goes through winter and summer cycles without complaint and cost about 1/4 of what this one did. Ok, my bad. My 3 year old LG side by side refrigerator went out on the eve of Thanksgiving (11-27-19). We promptly called LG customer service and was told to wait 4-6 hours for the freezer to freeze again and was told to call back in the am to run the smart IQ diagnostics. Freezer and fridge both out. Most likely the compressor like everyone else. Called 11-29-19 and was given a service repair date of 12-5-2019. I thought that seemed a long time to wait but figured I’d survive. Mind you, we have a household of 9 (7 kids). The day of the 5th I started getting text from repair company saying I was changed to the 13th. Called LG for an earlier appointment and the long run around saga began with countless calls and continues with the same song and dance as everyone else on here. Two weeks without a working fridge and counting....

The ABSOLUTE WORST company and customer service!! I purchased a French door refrigerator in May through JCPenney. I also purchased the extended warranty. Five months later the refrigerator showed an error code - dhF. I called LG and they sent a serviceman who walked in the house, looked at the code and said he did not have the parts needed to fix it. I asked him how he knew what he needed without opening the refrigerator and he stated that it is a problem that LG knows about but continues to sell defective equipment anyway, they just sent someone out to replace parts. Needless to say, I was not happy. I called JCPenney who pushed me off to LG and have spoken with a total of 11 different people, all who have done nothing to help me. I want the refrigerator replaced. Thanksgiving Day, it stopped working altogether and we had to scramble to get coolers and buy a small refrigerator to place some food in. Today, the day after Thanksgiving, all of LG supervisors are on extended break because of the holiday. DO NOT EVER purchase anything from this company. It is criminal that they sell defective appliances and know about it. All they care about is the bottom line. If there was a choice for 0 stars, that is what they would be rated.

They put in three different compressors and none of them worked. LG knew that they had a problem with the compressors. The repairman had been trying to fix them all over the state of Florida. I was told they were not gonna send their repairman out again after all that. But finally, they said they would come and put one more in. That fourth one finally worked. But they put me through hell. And when I told them of my food keep getting spoiled. Their typical answer is sending me a link to report it so I can claim. Fridge was delivered last Sept. I called the LG Washer Recall Hotline first thing Monday morning. I was told that I would get a call in three to five business days to schedule an appointment. Thats a long time to wait just to get the appointment. So I called Best Buy since I bought an extended warranty of 5 yrs (glad of that!). They are not allowed to service recall problems. So, today being day four of the five-day wait, I thought Id call the service provider they assigned me to. No answer, but I left a message. I thought what the heck, maybe I should call LG back. Guess what? They made an error, the man said. They never gave the repair facility a phone # to reach me at. Gee, I would think someone would look at the repair order and figure that out! So, here I sit with laundry piling up because I have an inoperable machine. The drum came off! Im just lucky nothing was ruined inside of it when this happened. Im so shocked by this ineptitude. I once had a GE refrigerator go out. I called the company and told them it was maybe four years old. They had two people out to replace the motor the same day. What a difference from LG! Oh, and my LG is three years and four months old. I hear Speed Queen is the best, but I never see it sold anywhere! I would caution everyone to avoid LG!

Husband and I purchased a LG dryer model # DLEX3570W two and a half months ago from Conns Appliances and noticed the print around the settings was just wiping off. One side is gone and the other side is smearing. This is a front loader dryer and wasnt cheap. We also purchased the matching washer. The washer print settings are fine so far. We owned LG washer and dryer before this set and although the washer failed after about 4 years, due to pricing we thought we would give it another try. We called LG over the print coming off and sent them photos. They said it wasnt covered under warranty because it is cosmetic. My husband explained to them that it wasnt cosmetic when it affects whether or not you can see what setting that you are setting the dryer on. They said that they wouldnt cover it and that was that, basically. My husband called Conns Appliances and didnt receive any help for them either, even after telling them that he was going to have them come and pick up their junk. LG tried to say that we must have cleaned it with a harsh chemical. I read on a review somewhere back in 2007 they tried to tell the same thing to another woman. Warranty says any defect in materials or workmanship. This is a defect. Im nearly 60 years old and have owned washers and dryers all of my adult life and have never had the settings print come off. I dont care how long that I had owned it. Thinking of getting a lawyer.

They needed to give me a refund check of like $30.00 and a yearly check of about $8.00 for 10 years. That was just the beginning. So far I had to call for service 2 times for the internal LED light panel blew, 1 time for the ice maker, twice for water puddling and freezing in the bottom of my freezer and then running out onto my floor. Now I have to call again for the water in the freezer. The only good thing is PC RICHARD has been honoring their warranty no problem.

Customer care is anxious to help you out by charging you $380.00 and a wait of 2 weeks to repair. I have a family of 4 and without a stove its hard to cook food. They didnt seem to care just offered me another option for 265.00 with the same waiting period.

After 3 years needed minor repair. LG wouldn’t sell me the part. Had to pay LG repair guy to do a job I could easily do. Very annoying. After 5 years door seal went. Called. They said weld broke on drum. $800 for parts not worth fixing. Single man after 5 years. The quality of consumer products today is so low I feel like a fool recycling my pop tins and putting my washer in a landfill after 5 years. Stop building throwaway products would be a far better way of recycling. Get rid of all the people that say no profit in that.

COMPRESSOR FAIL - MANUFACTURING DEFECT. I bought an overpriced LG refrigerator ($2500) in June, 2017 at Home Depot. It was broken by JULY 2019. Tough luck for me with no income and late stage cancer...it broke two weeks after the two year warranty expired. The part might be replaced by LG, but I am stuck with the cost and trouble of trying to find a knowledgeable technician. In my area (Raleigh) NO technician familiar with LG will work on them anymore because of these manufacturer defects! The LG rep set up an appointment with a technician - I had to wait over a week, AND they failed to show. I want to join the lawsuit. I get $12/week food stamps and lost all my carefully preserved and frozen food. There is NO WAY I can afford to pay a service tech for this and expected failures of other parts in the future. Watch LG’s “canned” response. They will do nothing.

Purchased a LG French Door Refrigerator less than 2 years ago. Started to notice freezer was not keeping things frozen. Call LG, do the diagnostic where you hold the phone up to the appliance (crazy and doubt it works). They agree to send a tech. Wait a week to get on the schedule. Tech from Mr. Appliance comes out and says compressor, coil and evaporator are bad. We need to turn it off and wait for parts. Parts take another 2 weeks. Tech was here today and replaced all three parts. It took him 3 hours. When he went to start it up, no go. Turns out the heater in the evaporator is bad and blew out the main board. So now both need to be replace. Spent an hour on the phone with LG. First level is outsourced overseas and customer service reps do not speak good English. They follow a script. Begged to talk to a supervisor. Waited 30 minutes for supervisor to take the call. Spoke to Neil and Willie and they did nothing. Told us they couldnt escalate higher. As long as they deem the appliance repairable we have to wait for the new parts to be delivered and then schedule another tech visit by Mr. Appliance. Absolutely NO customer service. They could care less that we have been without a refrigerator for over 3 weeks, 2 days from Thanksgiving. Its very disappointing to hear them say Life is Good and we dont want you to be inconvenienced while on hold. And then when you speak to someone, you get zero assistance or customer service. We will NEVER buy another LG product. We bought a lemon which I get sometimes happens. But the reason we wont buy from LG again is their complete lack of customer service. Totally disappointed in how we were treated.

In January 2019 we purchased four new top-of-the-line LG appliances from Home Depot: dishwasher, oven/range/microwave and refrigerator. Within two months we had problems with the dishwasher and LG did not have the needed parts. Within the next several months we had to call for service on the oven/range (twice), on the microwave, and this week on the refrigerator. LG was extremely uncooperative in scheduling a service appointment, even after the Home Depot telephone them on our behalf. They insisted on photographs of our receipts (we have neither smart phones or the ability to transmit photos) although we gave LG THE MODEL NUMBER, SERIAL NUMBER, RECEIPT NUMBER AND DATE AND THE TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE Home Depot store. The LG representative was rude, and even hung up on my wife. Home Depot had a similar experience, and advised us to NEVER buy an LG appliance from Home Depot in the future. Not much chance of that!
