It will constantly go off balance. I usually have to wash the cloths twice before they come clean and I have to unload washer and re-load it to get it to possibly spin without going off balance again. It will twist the quilts and fold them under themselves and tear them from the pressure. I have called after 6 months of owning this product and explained to the Lowe’s employee and they said it cannot be returned unless it was broken mechanically. This is the worst piece of crap I have ever own. The last Whirlpool product lasted 12 to 20 years. I hated this thing after the first few washings. I generally have to stop the washer and let it soak and then turn it back on if I want the damn thing to get the dirt out. I am using the required detergent as well. I will never own another top load machine like this. I am trying to unload it. Now, I have to buy another washer because I might as well take the clothes out and beat them on a rock at a creek with this thing.

I bought A Washer Whirlpool and right after 30 day of the purchase my washer went bad and I called the Whirlpool Services and they told that will take about 30 days to come out and take a look at it. Are you crazy!!!! Freaking garbage that is what is. Never would want to buy Whirlpool again specially with that type of customer services they have..

The stainless steel refrigerator door is rusting after only 5 months and the company respond it is cosmetic and we the customer have to live with it.... They will send a cleaning product which didnt remove the rust. Review that was written on the company facebook page wasnt published because it didnt meet the company website guideline. Its disappointing and frustrating to realize that we have to go through it. Not happy with customer service.

I purchased a new Whirlpool 3.6-cu ft Top-Load Washer (White-On-White) Model #: WTW4800BQ from Lowes on 11/1/14, which was only 3 ½ years ago. The washer began making noise during the spin cycle so we called for service. The technician claimed that the bearing pack needed to be replaced and the repair would cost $400. This amount is $20 higher than the amount I paid to purchase the washer. Because the warranty is only one year, I contacted Whirlpool today and spoke with a representative. The representative said they could repair it under the warranty. When I asked how to proceed, she then asked me if I had an extended warranty. When I replied that if I had an extended warranty, I would be using it. She declined any assistance. I now have to purchase a new washer after only 3 and ½ years. I own 10 rentals. I promise that none of them will ever include a Whirpool product again.

Whirl Pool Duet Wash WFW9400SW - I had this washer for 5-1/2 years. I use it about 3 times a month. Warranty ran out this last February. Machine stopped working. Called tech and he came and said I need a new console and power board. Two weeks later I get told they dont make it anymore and sorry about your luck. I used this washer under 200 times in 5 and half years. Whirlpool offered nothing and I will never buy a Whirlpool product again.

I purchased a Whirlpool washer 7 months ago, and a month ago, it broke. I have been without my washer for 1 month, and it has been repaired 4 times in that month. It is still not working. All I get is that, its under warranty, and there isnt anything they can do, but to keep trying to fix it. I have been having to take my clothes to a laundromat, and pay to have them washed. I have asked for them to deem it defective, but they refuse.

My stove has met all my baking and cooking needs. Love the self cleaning oven and I mean it does clean every bit. Always bakes at right temperature. I love it. All my pies and cakes come out perfect and the look of it is just pretty and matches my kitchen.

I bought a fridge from Sears located in King of Prussia, PA on February 1, 2011 model ED5LHAXWB02. The fridge was leaking from the water dispenser the day it was installed. The technician said it was normal and it will stop in 2 to 3 days. The leaking never stopped, multiple attempts has not solved the problem and the fridge has never stopped leaking. We have to keep towels under the water dispenser to prevent damage to our kitchen wood. Despite the problem existing from day one of delivery, a replacement or refund has been declined to us. Sears technical assistance was not able to remedy the problem, after a series of missed appointments. Sears technical service attempted to fix the problem without success and has not suggested any further solution. Sears technical service claimed that they have been in contact with Whirlpool. During the warranty period, we asked for a replacement or a refund. Nothing has been done. Whirlpool just provides lemons to their customers.

Bought it less than 2 months ago. It doesnt wash. It doesnt spend. It works every 2-3 hours if Im lucky. Its the worst product ever. Its not like it was refurbished. It was brand new. Smh. I thought it would save me money by buying a washer. Off to the laundromat I go. I do not recommend this product especially to someone who has a family and on a budget.

Whirlpool has been a trusted name for us for many years. The large tub has cut my wash load in half. Large towels to delicates have never been a problem. My washer is going on 12 yrs old and runs like a champ.

I bought a 38 gal. low boy electric Whirlpool water heater from Lowe’s. It was replaced because of a leak around the upper heating element after only one year. Now, the replacement heater is leaking in the same place, and it has been leaking so long that the electric terminals are rusted, water is standing in the cover plate, and the lining is soaked. I cannot see behind the plate and dont know it until the water finally made its way into the drip pan beneath the heater. When we saw the standing water, we turned off the electricity and shut off the water to it to stop a fire hazard. The warranty is up on my water heater, but my concern is that this could cause someones home to burn.

It was obviously designed by someone who has never had to clean a refrigerator. There are grooves in the door gaskets seemingly making their sole purpose to collect crumbs and mold with no obvious way to keep them clean (No, Q-tips dont do it). A layer of ice forms below the basket in the freezer (bottom freezer) which, when it melts, soaks the kitchen floor. Ice must be chipped out at least every two weeks to avoid flooding.

I have a portable dishwasher. It does not dry the dishes when cycle is completed. I have to either leave the door open or take them out and towel dry them.

I dont know who is the bigger idiot. The designer of this washer or me for not reading the countless bad reviews. I bought a Whirlpool 4.3 CU FT TL WTW5000DW machine on 7/19/2015. It does not come close to cleaning clothes. It now takes me three times longer to do laundry because I have to check every piece of clothing for any stains. These are minor stains mind you but, they will not come out unless I use something like Spray and Wash. My time is valuable, maybe I should drag my clothes to the river and beat them on a rock. Very disappointed.

Top loading HE machine. Washer does not clean. I have tried all manufacture recommendations, changed detergents and tried laundry boosters, all to no avail. Tshirts, pants and socks routinely come out of the wash dirty and must be re-washed. This negates any energy savings. Also, the noise from the spin cycle is very loud - the washer is on the second floor but I was told by sales person that this would not be an issue with top loader. Overall, very disappointed and after all these years, I have finally given up on this washer and will junk it.

I call in to Customer Service to get someone to fix my washing machine because it wasnt working and when I called, I forgot to have my washing machine serial number at hand. The person on the other side told me that she cant wait for me to get the serial number more than 2 minutes and I ask myself, if they cant wait for me more than 2 minutes to get my serial number, then why should I wait a week to have someone fix my washing machine?

What a disaster! Within one year we had to repair the stove twice, the dishwasher and the fridge! Almost three years later, we are experiencing problems with two burners and with the fridge! The company does not stand behind its products. Avoid them.

Purchased a Cabrio Top Loading Washer and Dryer 3 years ago from Lowes and our clothes have NEVER even come close to coming clean without spending a ton on stain removing aids, which only work part time. So I approached the salesperson at Lowes and I was informed (after the fact) that the Cabrio top loaders had poor ratings due to the fact the basket only spun 30 times a minute whereas the front loaders spun 300 times a minute. So after 3 years Im forced to bite the bullet and purchase another washer. Ever since they purchased Maytag, their quality control has gone down the crapper. Now Im going back to the old reliable, the agitator washer. Newer is not better in this case.

We have a Whirlpool range that was produced for Kenmore (Sears brand). It’s a glass top with electronic controls. Over the 13 years we have had this range we’ve had to replace the controls 3 times at a cost of over $300 each time. Each time we were under severe lightning storms and got hit with a surge. It would burn out the Control board. We finally got a whole house surge suppressor since a large device is required for 240 volt appliances. Also the glass top has gotten scored over the years. We would not recommend this oven and will likely replace it with an industrial gas stove with manual controls when this one dies or gets too expensive to repair.

Absolute garbage!!! French door refrig/bottom freezer. Too much to go into. This is by far the worst product that I have EVER purchased in my life. If I was strong enough to lift this piece of ** over my head I would carry it into the corporate headquarters of these money grabbing dirt balls and throw it through the CEOs door. Amend that: I would locate customer service and consider them bowling pins. What a bummer; how far we have fallen!!!

I thank the folks at Whirlpool for building a washer (Cabrio tub bearing failure) that lasted 22 days just shy of four years, better than the Whirlpool Duet that lasted 14 months, tub bearing failure also. Now I have high confidence that Whirlpool pre-engineers failure into every washer they build.

I just bought a Whirlpool Gas Range from Home Depot on 11/11/2014 and I am having problems with the oven. It is still under warranty and have five year protection plan. I called to have the problem fixed. Two technicians and the oven still doesnt work.

When you buy a global brand name you expect it to work the first time around. If not, then you expect to have it exchanged not repaired. The microwave did not work out of the box. They made me take it to the shop for repair. I would have expected an exchange for another one and an apology from the quality control guy who should have checked it. Apparently Whirlpool (Mexico) doesnt give a rats ass about their customer base. Its all about getting as many units out the door with poor assembly and no QC.

I purchased Whirlpool front load washing machine (Sport 1072 CB) in March 2013 and since then it has been my worst nightmare. Buying a Whirlpool washing machine was one of the worst decisions I took. The problems started to come from the first month itself. Many parts have changed and are still being done. I am continuously requesting them to replace the machine but they have decided not to listen. The after sale service of Whirlpool is the worst in the industry.

Bought a Whirlpool 25 cu ft side by side in 2011 and now just 4 years later the compressor is bad. Called them and they only have a 1 year warranty, which is nothing for a compressor. They told me for $350 they could replace it and it be good for only a year. Not going to sink more money into a product even the company has no confidence in. The repairman advised to stay away from Whirlpool as they were not the company they used to be. Also the salesman at Lowes where it came from said they used to have a 5 year warranty but changed several years ago and the quality also went down. We have had refrigerators last 25 to 30 years in the past but no more thanks to modern technology. Thanks a lot. STAY AWAY FROM WHIRLPOOL!

My Whirlpool microwave has been serving me for over 20 years. Never a problem. It performs well at all settings. Size is convenient for mounting over range. I recommend highly because of reliability and performance.

I have had this range since 2008 and used the self-clean last week. (I dont use the oven that often) Since the clean it has not heated up to required temp. I just called Whirlpool and a tech is coming out this Friday (Nov. 15th 2013). If it is determined to be the self-clean that did in fact cause this, the tech calls for an authorization and the repair is covered by Whirlpool. I will report back what happens.

I purchase a suite of Whirlpool Kitchen Appliances April 2017. My range is the slide in model. The knobs are on the front of the stove top. I 4 months in I saw that the paint behind the plastic panel where the knobs are was chipping. Also, the gasket in the oven had some loose threads so I finally decided to call the warranty. Whirlpool paid for the gasket to be replaced but Customer service said the chipping was cosmetic and that only covered for 30 days. I am so disappointed in this range and Whirlpool. My stove looks very used after 10 months. I followed the instructions on what to clean it with and how to clean so I know its not me. The paint chipping is crazy! How as consumers do we deal with this? This Range was a cost over $2000! and they give me touch-up paint!I purchased Whirlpool because I researched prior to purchasing my appliances. I thought I was buying Quality, this is not quality! At Christmas I had a pot of potatoes boil over and the element circle on the glass top cam off with cleaning. This too is not covered because its cosmetic. Ironically, my old glass top Whirlpool range did the same thing. That why I got a new one! I guess it still works. Who cares how it looks... RIGHT? Well, I WAS a good Whirlpool customer. Not anymore! Do not purchase Whirlpool glass top ranges unless you want it to look worn out after less than one year. I have tried to post pictures but this wont let me paste them!

Have had mine for 21 years. Okay, the soap dispenser door would not stay shut after about 19 years. No real problem, just placed the dishwasher tablet on the bottom of a mug on top shelf. Now the timer sticks and has to be rotated manually. I think after 21 years, it is time to replace it with another Whirlpool. This one owes me nothing for 21 years service.

Bought fridge in 2010, I am about to replace the icemaker for the 2nd time at a cost of over $300 each time by a Whirlpool authorized repair tech. No kids in the house and very limited use of icemaker. Motor keeps burning out because of the design flaw per the tech. Very poor design for a $1,500 fridge. Due to these issues I do not intend on purchasing Whirlpool products in the future.

I bought a new washer thinking I was upgrading. Wrong!! Well the new so called technology they put into these machines is overrated. They took a good thing and instead of advancing they have took two step backwards in time. I wish I had kept the old washer I had. I think I would rather use an old time wringer washer my great grandmother used. They are probably faster by hand. This new Whirlpool grabs every string on my hoodies and twist my clothes so tight in knots. I cant even remove my clothes until I fight and get mad enough to write a review. When I bought my new retirement home, a Whirlpool dishwasher Model No. DU1055XTVS1 had been installed. After only three years of use, the dishwasher would not complete a cycle except to drain and cancel. The repairman replaced a computer board and when the parts cost and the service cost were combined, they amounted to about half the cost of the dishwasher. I have a PC that is twice the age of the dishwasher and it is still running.

Dishes are very clean and the machine is very quiet. Only downside is the silverware in the door is not easy to load. The layout is very good with easy adjustments. Again, the downside is the silverware in the door is inconvenient. The easiest way to load is to basically leave the door partially open. With the door fully open you have to slide the silverware in sideways where it also tends to catch on other silverware. Perfect for 4 people. This was the best looking stainless steel dishwasher for the money. Whirlpool Gold Series.

I purchased the washer 1.5 years ago. At about 9 months, the latch was in need of replacing. The washer was locked and would not unlock. That was fixed. Fast forward to 1.5 years old and the control board needs replacing. The washer stopped in the midst of a cycle, filled with water. The repairs are over $400 -- nearly the price of a new washer. Ive never had a washer to go out on me. I willingly gave away my previous washer for the purchase of a newer model and did not expect this fiasco. I will recommend against purchasing a Whirlpool washer.

Do not purchase Whirlpool smart freestanding gas range model number WFG975HOHV. I purchased the range and the refrigerator around Christmas of 2018. The first time I turned the oven on to make Christmas dinner the carbon monoxide detector alarm went off. I have tried to use the oven twice after that and the same thing happened. The oven also never gets to 350. I spoke to Whirlpool who said to unplug the oven. They stated a technician would be sent with a carbon monoxide detector and to conduct repairs. The technician came and could not get the oven to 350 and the carbon monoxide detector alarmed. He stated he has to order parts and return to complete repairs.This is a brand new oven that I could not use because the carbon monoxide alarmed and the oven was not heating to 350 because it keeps restarting every few minutes. So here I am not able to use the oven for over a month and waiting for parts for a brand new range. Do not waste your money on Whirlpool products. Also the customer service has no empathy knowing their products are defective.

After a days work Old Grumpy around 7:00 PM drags to sink, fills pan with hot water & soap; starts scrubbing forks, spoons & occasional cereal bowl. I prewash everything placing it in the dishwasher, it takes it a week to reach 3/4 full: use for sanitation.

Bought a new Cabrio, worked ok but in less than 2 yrs the bearing is bad. It will cost almost as much to repair as a new washer. Will never buy a Whirlpool product again. Would give negative rate!

We own this range and in 6 years its 4 main boards and 3 touch pads were replaced. The electronics suck big time. We have nothing but trouble with this range from day one and out-of-pocket cost for service calls that were recommended by whirlpool. They were absolutely no help. Expensive piece of crap! I will recommend NOT TO BUY ANY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS. The electronics suck big time! I kicked the Jenn Air out the door and to the land fill. I bought a new range, but not whirlpool product, with dials only, no electronics!

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 1.5 years ago and it has already died. Repairman need to replace the control board which had gone out. $450.00 to replace that piece, but could not guarantee that it would be the only problem. The motor or some other issue may have caused the board. This machine was purchased at Home Depot on sale and at $450.00 to repair would be approximately 70% of the original price. It will be cheaper to buy a new one rather than fix this one. We were not happy with this machine in the first place. It leaves the clothes stained with a white powder that never rinses off. The cycle time is very long, up to an hour to wash a load. The clothes are still very wet once the cycle is finished, which of course increases the drying time. I cannot recommend Whirlpool top loaders after my experience with this machine.

I purchased a Whirlpool Duet front-loading washing machine on September 27, 2010. By October of 2011, it was making a loud grinding noise during any spin cycle. I called for service and was told I needed new bearings which entailed rebuilding the machine. I had purchased a 5-year extended warranty. I was originally told by the warranty company they would replace the machine.After waiting two months, and after several contacts made by me to the retailers customer service, I was told the machine would not be replaced, but repaired. After the repair, on January 6, 2012, the machine now rattles and shakes so much during the final spin cycles. It is literally impossible to have a conversation with someone standing next to you in the same vicinity as the washer, it is that loud. I am sorely disappointed with the Whirlpool line of products and with the retailer who has been dragging their feet on customer satisfaction.

Purchased range 10-26-12. Had 3 service calls first year. 1st time, it started. When service guy came a few months later, same problem. A new igniter was installed. 3rd time, another igniter was installed. My year warranty had run out but still had same problem. Asked for a new range, was rejected. Im afraid if burner is lit, had we try to start oven we are going to have explosion.

Whirlpool dryer and washers have the worst reliability, plus terrible customer service. Parts missing from factory install to faulty parts that constantly need to be replaced. Wasting precious time to meet with service repair people. Not worth it. Make products that are reliable and be accountable.

Ive got a brand new house, with brand new appliances by Whirlpool. Within less than 6 months, my dishwasher, Model no. DU1015XTXB0 Serial no. F00702058, had its electronic board gone bad. Instead of replacing the dishwasher, Whirlpool replaced the part. Not even one year later the same part went bad. Now, the dishwasher is not even 18 months old and it will cost $255.00 to repair. It is just the two of us in our home and I bought Cascade packets 20ct x 5 at Sams. Im not even done with the packets, so I know 100% that we have run the dishwasher just 70 cycles in 18 months.

We bought Whirlpool Frontloader Washing Machine not over 1 month ago and it started to malfunction showing Ed1 error on its display. We contacted the service center and it was taking too long to have a visit from a technician. Then the technician, who also installed the unit came and checked the unit. He called someone from corporate office or from support team to ask what is error code Ed1 and overheard over the phone that this is a known issue on the brand. The technician said it is possible that unit will be replaced or only the motor. I contacted the brand support thru Messenger and requested to have the unit replaced, because again, the unit is not over 1mo old.I was advised it is not possible as replacement of unit is only applicable when the issue happened within seven days of delivery. STUPID ISNT? Policy is something unworthy for a product that is over 30k. And again, unit started to malfunction not over a month after it was first used. I would say we pretty much took care of the unit, we only use it twice a week. Placed it where it was perfect to put. Followed every advice given to us by the technician who installed it but still, it malfunctioned a few weeks after we started to use it. I am ashamed of the brand itself, we should have chosen Panasonic or Samsung instead not a dumb brand like Whirlpool. I certainly do not recommend the brand for a washing machine unit. Frontloader is a crap.

Our Whirlpool refrigerator was delivered July 27th, 2013 after waiting 6 weeks for it. I was getting something off the top shelf (side by side refrigerator) when a 2-liter plastic bottle fell and put a hole in the bottom shelf where it sticks out under the vegetable tray. I have had grandkids sometimes stand on that shelf of our other refrigerators without ever doing any damage to it. It makes me nervous of dropping something else. I would like to send a complaint directly to Whirlpool but dont know how to reach them.

This Cabrio washing machine is really frustrating....... It goes off balance all the time. It does not matter if you have a full load or partial load, I know it has a tendency to go off balance, so I try to put the clothes in evenly. BUT it doesnt matter, it goes off balance. When the washer is downstairs, it gets to be a pain. The lid lock is a pain also. If you forget to put something in the machine, you hit pause button then you have to wait forever until it unlocks, and wait forever to unlock when it goes off balance. When it doesnt go off balance, it washes everything just fine. But if I knew what I know now about it, I would have never bought it....... I would recommend a different washer and check the reviews, which I didnt do. :(

Do not buy this washer. It does not get clothes clean. I use extra rinse (that negates the water savings) and still clothes comes out with stains on them. Some clothes are not even fully wet when removed after washings. I find myself soaking and pre-treating many items. White socks and undergarments are grey soon after buying. I always liked Whirlpool washer and dryer products, but this is a very poor product.

Whirlpool side by side with in door ice maker W10281961D - I purchased the refrigerator 10-2013. Within 9 months all of the food in the refrigerator side was freezing. Unfortunately, I did not purchase the extended warranty so I would turn up the temp control every 24 hours as suggested in the manual. The water maker then stopped working. I am disabled and money is tight, but I was wasting so much by throwing frozen produce and eggs away and was worried about thawing meat on the counter since it was not possible to in the refrigerator.I finally broke down, called Sears, purchased the warranty at that time, which was $259.00 and when the repairman came out we found out the damper was broken, thus causing the food in the refrigerator to freeze and the motherboard had went out, thus causing the temp controls not to work. The extended warranty had a $500 max, so we had to pay an additional $120.00 out of pocket. It is working fine now, but in my opinion, it should not have stopped working as quickly as it did since it was an expensive purchase to start out with.

I bought a Kitchenaid dishwasher (It is owned by Whirlpool) from Trail Appliances. After 11 month the machine didnt work. It was under warranty. It took more than two months that they sent a technician to fix it. Less than one week after repair it broke again, same problem. Now we have to wait for another two weeks for technician to come. It is tough for us without dishwasher for such a long time. I learned Whirlpool is not a reliable company and I will never purchase products from this company any more.

Refrigerator model WRF560SMYH purchased 22 months ago will not defrost automatically. When ice builds up on the back of the bottom mounted freezer, it creates a terrible noise. Only quiets when we manually defrost the ice with a hair dryer!! 4 service calls from the warranty company has failed to solve the problem.

We bought the Whirlpool Gold Stainless Steel dishwasher around 4 years ago and the pump and motor assembly went out. We spent top dollar on this dishwasher and should of lasted a lot longer. I’m no longer going to buy anything Whirlpool makes.

My Whirlpool has been in use about three years. It was purchased on sale at a very reasonable price. My only complaint is the heat dry function which somewhat fulfills its purpose, but I usually have to hand dry some dishes. Overall, it is an average dishwasher that gets the job done. The best feature is that it is very quiet; you barely notice that it is running.

Purchased a Whirlpool Electric Range August 2015. Purchased it because it looked pretty and the Aqua Lift Cleaning feature sounded too good to be true. As it turned out it WAS too good to be true! I have just read a # of reviews about this range and I agree with all complaints. Does anyone like this range? The AquaLift cleaning technology is a joke! The baking temperature fluctuates & I could not figure out how to improve on that (for the longest time I thought it was just me not being able to figure out my new oven). The most serious concern however, happened a couple of weeks ago when I turned on the oven & immediately the oven started to smoke and an electrical smell permeated throughout the house. Had I started the oven and immediately left the house our house would no doubt have been destroyed by an explosion/fire.Phoned Whirlpool & because the problem was so serious they had a serviceman at our door within 2 days (yes I am being sarcastic, it did take 2 days). At no time did the call centre express any concern nor did they advise me to unplug the range and to make sure I did not use it. Obviously, I would not use it but shouldnt that be something they advise as part of the checklist talking points.Serviceman arrives 2 days later & advises us that the parts alone would cost $650.00 & oh yes the labour costs to install the parts would be charged by the minute. I didnt even ask him how much per minute because only an idiot would repair this piece of junk!! The power cord to the range had basically melted right through; you could scrape the char right off the cord. The computer part of the range was shot and had a strong electrical smell to it. The serviceman basically said that I shouldnt shoot the messenger and charged us 93.45 to tell us that it was going to be a very costly repair.I disliked this range almost immediately and was looking forward to the day when I would have an excuse to purchase another electrical range. I did not think I would be shopping for another range within 1 1/2 years from the time I purchased this piece of crap!!! Nor did I think that there would be a possibility that this appliance could potentially be hazardous to my family and home. How long is Whirlpool going to ignore all these customer complaints? This range should be recalled! It not only is selling features such as the Aqua Lift technology that do not work properly, it is selling a potential fire hazard.I will never again purchase any appliance that is made by Whirlpool. Whirlpool makes a lot of appliances and uses names such as Maytag, Amana. KitchenAid, etc. I have purchased another range and this one is made by Frigidaire (no connection whatsoever to Whirlpool). I dont know what my experience will be with my new Frigidaire Range but so far I am loving it! Hopefully, my new appliance will not nearly burn my house down. Whirlpool: Step up to the plate & take responsibility for the defective electrical range you are selling before there is serious harm to persons or property! Aqualift technology does not work!! This is absolutely the worst product I have purchased from Whirlpool. The aqualift technology DOES not clean the oven, even if you clean the oven after EACH time you use it! I am not able to bend over and spend the afternoon in the oven. And even when I do, I cannot get this oven clean!!! Please DO NOT buy a Whirlpool stove with an aqualift technology oven cleaning process!!! You WILL be sorry!!!

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator in April. The motor ran constantly. The company replaced it for me but it was back ordered until July. The one delivered in July kept freezing the items in my refrigerator. I had two service people come out to replace parts in the next couple of months. The entire time having to throw out frozen food. Finally, they had another one delivered in November. This one continues to freeze food in the refrigerator. Mind you, I just got it and they want to start again with service. Seems others are having the same issues. My 4 month old gas oven is also not broiling. Customer service is awful. Every time I call the wait time is over an hour and then they don’t really help. I would not recommended Whirlpool to anyone.

My Whirlpool microwave oven is terrible. The whole point of a microwave is to cook things faster and make ones life easier. The main problem is food doesnt actually cook due to sensors. Cooking bacon, for example, should be a simple, quick item that easily cooks in a microwave within minutes. Not w/ this Whirlpool! The sensor would not allow the bacon to cook - even after 20 minutes of trying!! Foods such as Bob Evans family sized mashed potatoes cant be cooked either. The sensor in this microwave ensures that only the outer layer is hot while the middle is stone cold. Also, the fan has never worked from day 1, and were now on 6 months of ownership. This wasnt a cheap microwave either, so Im SOL. Please dont make the mistake I made. Dont buy Whirlpool.

I purchased this Whirlpool washing machine model# WTW4950XW2 and after 10 months of use, it broke down. The repairman fixed it (gear box) and said that the motors and the control boards went bad. I didnt get a weeks use out of it because the motor went bad. He came and fixed the motor and it didnt work once after that. I called Whirlpool up and they sent their serviceman out twice and they didnt do much but reprogram it and both times it didnt do one full cycle. Now they (Whirlpool) are going to put a new control board in and hope it works. Whirlpool wants me to get another years warranty on the machine & charge me $100 and not do anything about all the money I spent going to the laundromat (2 months worth) while this machine was not working. There should be a recall on this machine for replacement & reimbursement of all the time and money lost.

I could echo all of these complaints and more. I just gave up on the heater, junked it, and went to Home Depot and bought a Rheem. Recommendation: NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL!

Every time I wash clothes, I get a terrible odor that permeates my home. Ive put in afresh to rid the problem. Ive had a technician take it apart to clean the filter & hose. Nothing helps!! My clothes come out smelling like the sewer. I called the company, and the person I talked to had no real solutions either. Im MAD! What are you planning to do about my stinking problem? Im washing clothes right now & have to have all doors open & fans on high!!!

We purchased a Whirlpool Estate Range in 2008, with an extended warranty. We have only moved this range out 2 times since it was installed and the last time was over 2 years ago. This range worked beautifully, no issues whatsoever. Until... tonight, the oven & one burner were being used when suddenly the range started arcing, which blew a hole through the back panel on the stove where the cord hooks to it. It continued to arc and quickly fill the kitchen with black smoke until we could reach the breaker box. The Whirlpool repairman wants to charge $88 dollars just to tell us WHY it happened. After 2 years of sitting in the same spot, why? I dont want the stove repaired, I want it out of my house! I will not take the chance that this will happen again when we are not home. When asked if this was an issue with their product, the repairman answered, I have never heard of anything like this before. After reading these reviews: Such a Liar! I wouldnt believe anything Whirlpool, or their representatives told me about their products now. I just want their crap out of my house and I will never spend another one of my hard-earned dollars with them again. Too many other choices out there. I just want other buyers to Beware of Whirlpool.

I have purchased all new Whirlpool appliances for our new home in March 2009. I have had trouble with the refrigerator door panel and will not switch between ice and water. Cost to replace over $100.00. Now its the range. When turning on the oven, my wife said she saw a flash of bright light and then I turned around and it was smoking up the house! I quickly pull the stove out and unplugged the stove. I then remove the back panel and found the right side of the control panel was burned. Had I not pulled the plug, a fire would have started. I have pictures to prove that! The cost to replace the control panel is $267.00 and that doesnt cover the repair man coming out to test if anything else is bad!

Four year old Whirlpool Refrigerator/Freezer Model W10771736A. Ice maker broke right after the warranty ended. No refrigerator or certified whirlpool repairman was able to fix the problem. Our microwave is cracked on the side, and it is only four years old.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer in July of 2013. In the first 6 months had a technician in to repair it. Worked fine up until now. The washer fills up, the clothes just soaks there for awhile (doesnt wash) then drains out. It doesnt fully drain so I have to put it on spin and drain again. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Purchased Whirlpool side by side June 2010. Within a few months realized major problem with ice maker. Reservoir on door would leak and freeze inside the door. Service man out at least twice, advised to maintain service contract as would continue to have issues. It still leaks, freezes up and does not dispense properly. Now the inside liner of the refrigerator is cracking and neither the warranty company nor the WHIRLPOOL Manufacture Co. will stand by their product. It is my intent to warn as many people as possible, so they will not have the same bad experiences.

About six years ago we purchased a matching Whirlpool HE washer and dryer from Lowes. Because of some previous issues we had had with a dishwasher we had bought, and at the direction of a repairman, we bought the 4 year extended warranty when we bought the washing machine and dryer. Thank heavens!!! About 3 months after the manufacturers warranty expired, I began to have issues with the washer. Again, thank heavens I had purchased the warranty through Lowes because after 6 visits from the repairman to fix one problem after another, Lowes finally junked the machine and said it was no longer cost effective to try to repair it. I was SO frustrated! And, attempts to contact Whirlpool regarding the issues were COMPLETELY useless!!! Thinking it was just a fluke, I replaced the broken washer with another exact model (I know, I know... should have done my homework!).This time, after replacing the motherboard within two months of owning the new machine, the machine began to work fine, and washed great! Again, I thought I had just gotten a lemon with the previous machine. But, here we are 4 years into owning the new one, and it has completely quit working. Clothes smelled like mildew despite cleaning the machine as recommended. So, I called out a repairman, he said the transmission had gone out and it would be cheaper to just replace the machine. What?? I spent almost $700 on it only 4 years ago! When I told him this, his response was that he had seen repeated problems with this machine and felt like they were disposable washing machines that you had to figure would only last a few years before having to be replaced. Again, WHAT??I dont know about everyone else, but I dont have $700 to throw around every 3-4 years to replace new appliances because the manufacturers cant/wont make a better product. We had owned a Whirlpool dishwasher, and it had all kinds of problems too. So, once again, I contacted Whirlpool about the washing machine and got nowhere!!! SO disappointing!!! Absolutely the WORST customer service I have EVER seen!!! On hold forever, only to talk to a customer service rep who not only sounds bored to death with their job, but certainly less than sympathetic (probably from having to field questions all day long about the poor quality of the product), and less than helpful because Whirlpool has no desire to fix the issues. Needless to say, I will NEVER own another Whirlpool appliance again! SO disappointed!!!

I’ve found many years of flawless performance from many Whirlpool Appliances! Once they are 20+ yrs old, I tolerate their aging and repair issues if they occur. My current microwave oven is 10 years old and was removed for a kitchen remodel, replaced after remodel and hasn’t skipped a beat!

My washing machine is just over a year old and it has ruined so many clothes... They come out with brown stains on them... Almost like a oily stain. Purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher less than 3 years ago. Absolutely horrible! The LEDs stopped working on the control panel within the second year. A few months after that the heating element stopped working. Replacing the element and thermostat did not help. The warranty only last for a year, and now I know why. Whirlpool does not stand behind their products and they were completely unwilling to help, and were quite rude honestly. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again!

This washing machine has been the worst machine I have ever owned - I have called Paddys Market on several occasions to have a repairman come out and take a look at this machine, which they did - but the machine never got any better - it has never ever washed my clothes properly its a piece of garbage - clothes come out dirtier than when they went in and sometimes come out dry. Its so busy trying to save water - it doesnt use hardly any - and forget doing bigger loads - I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL product again.

Purchased a house and old owners left an almost new one with house. Thing does not clean even minor soiled cloths. Plan on buying new machine directly and it will not be a GE or Whirlpool. I can see why they were willing to leave the new washer. I left a 15-year old Maytag at my old residence (wish I had it back).

We bought the set washer/ drier from Lowes in 2008. The first problem was that it wasnt rinsing well. After finishing the washing cycle, clothes were still dripping water. It took us to make several phones calls to get the problem solved. Also, the clothes were smelling bad and needed to be wash again. Now we are having another situation that it start the wash cycle but it wont finish and shows a code F35 or sud.

Its amazing to me that every other complaint listed here is identical to the problems I have had with my Duet washer. In the past 4 years, I have had two Duet washers and now, the 2nd one has to be replaced. On the first, the control board blew and it was too expensive to consider replacing. I had a new Duet later that day (I use a great, small local appliance store that is reliable and has a great reputation so I know Im not being screwed over). This one made it for 3 years before the bearing broke. It sounds like its about to launch into orbit. I can either continue to use it until it stops working (likely very soon) or just replace it now as its too expensive to repair. I cant take a chance on it breaking down, so...Thats a good gig Whirlpool has, huh? Repairs are prohibitively expensive so they sell more machines. Whirlpool appliances used to be among the most reliable and well-made. Not any more. Two Duet washers in 4 years in my honest opinion is ludicrous. When it did work, it seemed to do the job and I have to admit to very, very heavy use (3-5 loads/day). But the days of a washer lasting 20-30 years are long over.

I own an FG flame lock water heater and have been having the same problems with the pilot light not staying lit. This is very frustrating! I have searched many websites and am not able to find a replacement thermocouple for the stupid thing. Also, I have been told that the parts for the type of water heater that I own is no longer available. I tried to call the Whirlpool number a handful of times, but unfortunately, I was on hold the entire time and could not speak with a rep. I guess that explains all of the complaints I have read on here. I would like to be contacted or have help from someone regarding this matter! I would not recommend this product to anyone and I am very dissatisfied!

I bought a whirlpool 40g gas heater with the Honeywell gas valve. In 5 years Ive had to replace the valve two times. Thankfully the valve was under warranty both times. Our old water heater was Twentynine years old before it started to leak, this new electrical diagnostic high tech gas valve keeps breaking showing a overheated error and the only way to fix it is a new valve that only Honeywell sells thats well over 100$. Talk about a scam!!

I love the look and performance of my Whirlpool Dishwasher. It could be a bit quieter, but overall I have no complaints. My washer was already installed in my home when I purchased it and I must say, it helps when the family gets together and you don't feel like washing the dishes. The dual chamber pod holder is great if you need to use and the heat function works wonderful. I don't have the problem of the left over water that a lot of dishwashers leave behind and no spots!

I purchased dishwasher model #GU2800XTVT0 in May of 2009. Today, it leaked water all over and damaged my floor. My husband pulled the dishwasher out of the cabinet and found that the motor had fallen off. It did not have a bracket to hold it in place and worked loose, which then disconnected a hose. I called the customer service but they wont do anything because it is beyond the 12 month warranty. It only lasted slightly more than two years. This is obviously a manufacturing defect and we were just unlucky enough that it failed after the warranty had expired. The most ironic thing is that my husband worked for Whirlpool for 20 years. There is no loyalty here.

They will not honor the extended warranty on their fridge which Ive had for less than three years which will not defrost making me lose thousands in spoiled food. Extended warranties are contracts and this company should be penalized and shut down for fraud.

Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine: The washer was purchased in March of 2012 and malfunctioned in December 2014. After phoning Whirlpool, the machine was scheduled for repair with a factory-authorized company. The first repair attempt was unsuccessful due to a lack of parts. It took 10 days for the parts to arrive, and another unsuccessful repair attempt was made. The verdict is that a new motor control board, costing $350 plus labor, is necessary. With the delay in service and cost of repairs, I may as well buy a new machine.

When you first get the washer it looks like it can get the job done. Its the brand name and you trust to get the best clean from the washer. After a couple of months I dont see them clean. It washes with a couple of shakes back and forth and when my clothes are ready they seem like they were dipped in water. Not clean. It has all these fancy buttons for all different types of cycles and loads and they all seem to wash the same. As a mother of 3 kids I want my kids to put on CLEAN clothes. Not clothes that look like they have just been dipped in the water with detergent. I feel a good on cleaning board and my hands do a lot more than these high priced washers.

We bought a Whirlpool side by side at the end of August 2017. In March of 2018 - the day after I got the letter about extending my warranty - they had to replace the diffuser - it was making a horrid noise and freezing my eggs and milk. This part went again in July. I insisted they extend my warranty which they did - until March 2019. The part went again in November. I again demanded an extension - now it is guaranteed until June 2019. I asked about replacement and was told that as long as it was reparable they would not replace it. This part is dying every four months. The first few times I called, the hold recording touted a repair app - that did not give me much confidence in the company.

Home is new construction. Moved into our home in May 2015. All appliances are Whirlpool. The Microwave (model WMH32519CS-1) stopped heating in September 2015, service tech replaced the tube and capacitor. Microwave stopped heating again on Nov 16, 2015. Service tech notified again. Each time it takes 3+ days to get the service tech to look at the oven. This will be the 3rd Magnetron Tube in 6 months. This should not be happening. Contacted Whirlpool direct, asked if we could get the entire oven replaced with a new one. I was informed that this was not a company policy. It was a real waste of time talking to customer service. They are clueless and could care less about what is happening with our oven. I have had microwave ovens for years and have never had this kind of issue. Whirlpool has a real problem here.

WHIRLPOOL MICROWAVE HAS HAD MAGNETRON GO BAD 3 TIMES IN 1-1/2 YRS! I bought a Whirlpool Microwave Hood Combo Oct 2009. July 2010 the magnetron went in it! December 2010 the magnetron went in it AGAIN! This time we had to pay the labor to have it repaired because it was 2 months outside the warranty period. We did not want to pay because we knew having the same part go twice in one year that something is wrong with it. Whirlpool told us that if it happened a 3rd time that they would most likely replace the appliance for us. Well....July 2011 the magnetron went AGAIN for the 3rd time! Whirlpool told us to take it to a licensed shop to have it diagnosed to prove that it was the same part as the previous two times, fax paperwork from the prior two times, and have the shop call in the diagnosis of the 3rd time. We did all that, and they told us they wouldnt do ANYTHING for us because it was outside of the warranty period! Well they knew that when they told us we had an opportunity to get it replaced! THE SAME PART WENT BAD 3 TIMES IN A 1-1/2 YR PERIOD OF TIME. We trusted that the Whirlpool representatives were being honest with us during those phone conversations. Whirlpool can not explain why representatives would give us hope of a replacement (although each conversation is documented by their login and employee ID number). So not only did I buy a brand new MSRP $619 microwave, I paid to have it repaired the 2nd time, and to have it diagnosed the 3rd time, uninstalled and reinstalled the microwave each time, the inconvenience of not having use of the appliance during each occurance, and the unbearable suffering of calling in to customer service and repeating the story over and over to each representative. My house is brand new (we moved in to it November 2009); we bought ALL our appliances from Whirlpool. All I get for an answer now is sorry. That doesnt help me any financially having to repair and now replace an appliance that has been in use for only 1-1/2 yrs! I have seen $39 microwaves from WalMart last several years, so what is wrong with Whirlpools manufacturing?! Customer Service is unreliable, untrustworthy, non-sympathetic, and insanely frustrating! My question for Whirlpool is...why cant you make a product that lasts better (better quality=longer life=healthier environment and happier customers)? Why cant you stand behind your products better? I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WT5500XW2 from Lowes on 9/12/2012, which turned out to be the worst purchase of my life. It did ok for over a year. It had always been noisy. Now it sounds like a jet airplane when it is on the spin cycle. This machine is not yet 2 years old. Do not buy a whirlpool washer. They are Junk. Plan on getting rid of this piece of junk and buying a new washer. Dont waste your money on Whirlpool!

Bought this refrigerator in June 2018. Had issues with freezer section and service technician came July 19. Issue was resolved but only temporarily. Had another technician come in Oct 3 and was told he had to order a new freezer drawer which should take 3 days. Now being told the drawer won’t arrive until Nov 15. You call that service? It would have taken less time to get a new refrigerator. I would never recommend buying Whirlpool products to anyone. What’s the point in buying a product that you can’t get proper service on.

The buttons that turns on the burners and oven turn on with a very light touch and start leaking gas and sometimes light. Its very dangerous and has done this since We got it new from Lowes. I wonder if there was a recall on this model or if lots of other customers have had the same trouble. My Whirlpool Cabrio Washer is only 4 years old. I have had balancing & spin issues since day one. Thought it was just me. Constantly had to drain and spin after rebalancing. Now 10 days ago it cost me $250 to have it fixed. The aqcuator (?) Went. It wouldnt spin out. Now 10 days later it stops again. The appliance guy reads code. F7E7. He tells me the bearings are no good. Will cost another $400 and they need some special tool to fix it. IM DONE. My last set was 15 years old. The price is ridiculous and quality not worth what this triple capacity set cost.

Our Whirlpool Cabrio Washer did a decent job for the 3.5 years that weve had it. Last week, it stopped spinning properly after rinsing, leaving the clothes quite wet. The repair person said it needs a new control panel and is not worth repairing. So, we have to buy a new one after such a short time. Very disappointing. Next time, well try another brand and buy an extended warranty this time. Buyer beware!

In the last two years I have purchased a new Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer with base, Whirlpool Gold refrigerator, and (less than a year) a built-in Whirlpool microwave. I have already had to replace the gaskets on the washer, which required a $65 deductible. I had to spend $65 on my service contract deductible for my dryer as they have had to order me a new motor and thermostat. My refrigerator had an appliance bulb as required installed; however, it still burns the plastic covering. I have not called on that yet. My microwave, which is less than a year old, has a small crack inside the door and part of the handle has broken off.

I would like to extend my appreciation to Whirlpool for quickly responding to our requests. Within a matter of days, we were contacted by a Whirlpool corporate representative. She listened to our issue and was extremely understanding of our frustrations. The representative assured us that we were valued customers and offered to contact our local service provider and authorize the needed repairs to our refrigerator. This interaction has restored our faith in Whirlpool and its partner brands. The representative also provided guidance on future purchases in contacting Whirlpool to purchase its extended warranty.I would suggest using Whirlpools warranty program instead of a retailers program. Contact Whirlpool to purchase any extended warranties directly, instead of purchasing an extended plan at the time of purchase. Thank you to Whirlpool and to our extremely helpful representative. I purchased the refrigerator in Nov. 2013 and it stopped working completely on 3/22/14. I called Customer Service and they told me someone from Apple Appliance would be here on the 24th, it is now the 27th and still no repairman. I have contacted both Apple and Whirlpool everyday and have gotten no satisfaction at all. I just found out that I will have to wait until March 31st to have someone here. I have lost everything in the freezer and refrigerator and have no way to cool anything. I find this unacceptable but have no alternative but to wait until Whirlpool does something about it. I will never purchase any other appliance from them.

I purchased a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator in Jan 2014. The first thing I noticed was the installers bought the appliance in without a box. The next thing I noticed was the door would not close unless you gave it a big push. While looking around at the hinges, I found 2 hairline cracks at the base of the refrigerator and 2 dents. I called Service and they sent a technician out. The technician told me they are going to want to epoxy this and you will see it. They asked did it get delivered in the box, I said no. I asked why, she said it should have been delivered in the container so you would know that it is new and not a rejected one from a customer. I called Whirlpool to voice my issue with having this epoxied. Kecia was the CSR...she said that is the normal repair for a crack. I told her I had a Kenmore refrigerator for 23 years and it was still functional when I bought this. I replaced it to get the energy savings. I told her I wanted the refrigerator replaced. I told her that the cracks tells a story about the quality of the appliance. I asked her what happens if these cracks expand after the year warranty expires. She said you can buy the extended warranty. I said but the existing warranty will not cover the cracks...what will the the extended warranty do? I asked if there were any recalls...she said no. I asked have there been similar complaints about cracks and dings (not that I thought she would answer yes). She said no unless someone had stepped on the base of it. I told her I lived alone and I definitely did not step on the base of the refrigerator. She got aggravated (almost to the point of being rude) and said Mam, no one said you stood on the base. I asked her repeatedly if there was someone else I could speak with. Her repeated answer was I am authorized to speak with you. She wouldnt let me to speak with anyone else. I am done with Whirlpool and stuck with this substandard refrigerator. Not happy at all in Va.

In August of 2008 I purchased a Whirlpool Amana refrigerator, Model# ABR2227FES. It worked great for exactly 6 years. In Aug of 2014, the motherboard needed to be replaced as it was not forcing a defrost when needed. I tried to get a refund on the cost of the part and labour but both were refused. In Dec 2016, just two and half years after the motherboard was replaced, the exact same problem re-occurred. Again I tried to get a refund on the cost of the part and labour but both were refused. Will I be buying this refrigerator in the future? A definite no!!!

In the last year, I have had to put in two sets of parts to my Whirlpool water heater (thermocouple) within three months in between each malfunction. Now the hot water is out again, and I need to have a plumber come and reapply new parts to the hot water heater. Whirlpool is refusing to send new parts to the less than a year old hot water heater until they speak with my plumber. It was purchased in December 2011. I am a disabled senior citizen, and we have not had hot water in over a week. Meanwhile, the weather is in the teens and has been snowing. I live alone and have not been able to wash dishes, take showers or mop my floor. Being a diabetic, cleanliness is very important to maintain good health. Living on Social Security, I cannot afford to replace my water heater parts every few months and my health cannot afford to not have hot water. The refrigerator is a Whirlpool Model #GSC25C6EYW0. We purchased it on September 17, 2013. So far we had to fix the ice maker, the drawer broke, the refrigerator cools unevenly. They tried to fix it but cant. Therefore, I cannot put tall things on the top shelf. Now it is not cooling and I have to repair or replace it.

I purchased a washer and dryer from WHirlpool in March of 2019 based on the good word of mouth information I have heard from others. Today I reported to WHirlpool customer service how all my brand new towels were destroyed during the week of 9/8/2019. The towels were purchased on 9/3/2019 and are now unusable due to a defect from the washing machine. I called into the customer service to ask what they can do, they completely refused to cover the cost in any way. Original cost was $448.00.

We purchased this large 4 door refrigerator in December 2018, from Costco in Florida, having in mind with the 2 years Manufacturing warranties and 2 years of Costco warranties above the manufacturing warranties. We didnt expect any problems for the initial 4 years. Up on delivery some parts of the unit was missing, delivery guys said they will make a report for the missing left drawers and the parts. We did not have any manuals how to setup and use. After we called the customer service they send us the operating manual.We encounter several other problems with this unit and the most recent one to our surprise the warning light to change the water filter was on. We hardly using the water from the fridge because of the having monthly spring water delivery service. We called customer service and after explanation of our concern and following their instruction the light was on. Finally we were told that whether or not using the water filter has to be changed every 6 months and send us the additional service warranty contract which is $411.95 for 3 years. We still have 3 years 4 months remaining from our original warranty.

Purchased a Whirlpool washer/dryer pair @ least 5 years ago. Great machines. Washer washes very clean. My only beef is that once the cycle starts I cannot open the lid. Dryer will dry almost anything in 10 minutes or less.

Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator December 2011, it is now 3 yrs. old, keeps shutting itself off. There is nothing under the troubleshooting area of the instructions for this. I called Whirlpool, they said I have to pay a tech to come here and troubleshoot. The warranty is 1 years, so after paying over 1k for an appliance, that gets you 1 year! I try to support American made, but no more Whirlpools here! I have all Whirlpool appliances, but Im guessing they wont last either. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service.
