We bought a duet set front loader washer and dryer on 3/14/2010 and our washer already needs new bearing and costs about as much as a new washer. I think that is pretty bad when you can’t get two years out of a product and then can’t get anyone to help unless you want to pay out. I will not buy another Whirlpool product! Done!

I purchased a Cabrio Washer and Dryer set last October from Sears. The washer had a damaged washer basket and then stopped working altogether. The service call to get the washer working again was a fiasco. The tech replaced a switch which failed in the first 5 minutes and had to be called back to replace that defective switch. We now have the same problem all over again and we are on our third service call and the warranty is expired. Whirlpool is useless and will probably be out of business if they continue as the middle man for Chinese manufactured garbage. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again. Word of mouth can make or break a business, not advertising. This stuff is real junk and trash. Im sorry we bought it. Do not buy any Whirlpool products.

I have had repairman out on two separate occasions to look at the dishwasher. It leaks. It’s unpredictable. Unless you run a full three hour cycle the dishes come out with dish soap still on them. I am very unsatisfied with this dishwasher.

The dishwasher racks in Whirlpool/Amana/Kitchen Aid/Maytag dishwashers do not last as long as the dishwasher does. The vinyl coating on the cheap metal tines wears off causing the metal underneath to corrode and rust. This rust will deposit on your flatware, stainless or otherwise. When the vinyl coating wears away at the base of the tines, the tines will break off, creating more opportunity for rust to deposit onto flatware. You can purchase new tips for the end of the tines, and more vinyl to paint onto the tines, but you cannot replace the tines themselves or paint the vinyl onto any rusty surfaces.Another option would be to buy a new rack. A new bottom rack costs almost half of what a new dishwasher costs and if you need both top and bottom racks, you will pay almost $400 for the pair. Whirlpool was not amenable to negotiating a better price on the racks, but they would sell me a new model at a price that was close to what it would cost to replace both racks! Now does that make sense? Does it make sense for appliance companies to cause consumers to have to throw out an entire appliance rather than fix it? No, and it is creating more waste and filling more landfills. My dishwasher has run great for 7 years and I refuse to buy into the rack racket! No more Whirlpool for me!

We purchased a Whirlpool Gold Dishwasher about 8 months ago. Immediately called for service as dishes did not clean after running over 3 hrs. Was told it is operating as designed. I followed all the tips and it still continues to not clean. Plastic wear and cups stay wet, plates arent clean. We have changed detergents pods as well. We may junk it and buy something else. Recently purchased clothes washer and did not buy Whirlpool. Very, very disappointed. I should have kept my 12 yr. old GE Dishwasher that wasted water... But cleaned my dishes. Not happy with Whirlpool!

I purchased a whirlpool under counter oven - my main reason for not buying something cheap was the safety of my family - I chose the AKZM656 eye level oven. The stove is about two years old, but we do not use it that much. Two days ago my wife set the timer and placed a dish in for cooking; she then went outside to water the garden. About twenty minutes later she returned as something was burning- the oven reached a temperature of 350 degrees and would have burnt the whole kitchen down if she did not spot it. Now surely the oven should be designed to switch off if sensors fail? I reported this to Hirsch (Ballito) but they say they have no one servicing the Richards Bay area. I am not sure if this stove should be fixed as it is obviously not safe and makes me wonder how Whirlpool get safety standards passed on these items. Surely you expect better when buying a well-known whirlpool brand?

I have had problems with my electric range (Whirlpool) since day one. It always ran hot. I wrote letters to Whirlpool and received one very condescending phone call. Now two days before Thanksgiving it is running terribly hot from 350 to 500 degrees. When I called Whirlpool they said the best they could do was offer me a maintenance plan for 293.00.

We bought this product and had only had it for a couple of weeks when I spilled soup on the open microwave door. My mistake, but I would think that might happen to other people once in a while. The soup leaked around the window gasket of the microwave and streaked the interior of the door. It also ran down into the door of the oven and streaked the interior of that door. No way to clean this up that I know of without taking the door apart. I think these gaskets should not allow liquid they leak into the inside of these doors. Whirlpool says its my problem. They call it a use and care issue. I think its a design issue.

Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator, #GI6FDRXXY07 ICE MAKER PROBLEM - Ever since we bought this ref in 2012, we have been facing problems one after the other. First the refrigerator was shutting off on itself thawing the food the ref & freezer. (When we were on vacation, in summer of 2012 , it was a disaster when we returned home.) This a continuous on going problem... not fixed. Second 2012 Spring the Icemaker shuts off spilling water at the dispenser, when called customer service they sent a technician who replaced the ice maker. But again the icemaker is spilling water or leaking now. Third 2013 Winter, the bottom freezer was leaking and ice buildup at bottom. We have been having problems ever since we got this. WHIRLPOOL YOU HAVE DISAPPOINTED US, its been an exasperating experience. Please Help, its not our fault for your poor design & faulty product.

I purchased 5 Whirlpool appliances when I remodelled my kitchen and am extremely disappointed with the quality and ability of them. The self-cleaning range (this phrase is a joke) has proven to be useless. I followed the cleaning direction according to the manufacturers direction even using the distilled water as indicated. The AquaLift self-clean did not clean the oven at all. It looks like I never turned the self-clean on. I gave up a great working GE self-cleaning oven that actually did clean itself. If I could afford to change this product for another brand I would do it in a heartbeat.

I purchased a Whirlpool washer (WTW4800Q) in November 2011. Already, it has rust in the tub. The warranty does not cover this. I never really liked the thing since I have had it. It takes much too long. Lid locks and then starts over. Also, warranty is not good. I wouldnt ever buy their product again and suggest no one else should either. I loved Maytag before Whirlpool bought them out. Im putting this one on Craigslist and buying a real washer, a Speed Queen! Yes, Speed Queen has all metal parts and makes a home washer. Just have to find a local dealer. They are there.

Whirlpool Cabrio top loader washer - I am writing to really complain about a washer I bought there at Metro. The people were great BUT this washer has been a REAL DISAPPOINTMENT!!! It is only 4 years old and I have had to have them come and replace the top of the machine. It has rusted around where you put the bleach, the soap. It leaks underneath the machine, its rusting on the bottom of the machine horribly. SO DISAPPOINTED!!! We bought all WHIRLPOOL products - washer and dryer, stove, microwave, dishwasher. What is it with these things? They rust so easy. I had a washer before this one for 14 years and it never did this. I guess things are not made with the same quality as years ago, but I will not ever spend my hard earned money on WHIRLPOOL AGAIN!!! I guess I will have to put up with this machine till I can afford to buy something else. VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER!!!

The agitator is higher than any I have seen and when we washed aprons that have plastic buckles on them, they get stuck under the agitator. When complained their solution was to use laundry bags to wash 15 aprons in, they are long aprons. Paying a lot of money for the machine and it being commercial I didnt think we would not be able to use it. The whole machine shut down when three of the buckles got stuck. The washer is model # CAE2793BQ and I would suggest that no one purchase one of these machines.

The inside of the washing machine is going to fall apart because of the rust at the bleach holder. I saw some of the complaints. Is there any way we (consumers) can sue Whirlpool for selling defective units? We are from all across America and there is no way we should all have the same complaint. The stores that are selling us these items should be held accountable. Also the only thing Im getting from them is, Theres nothing we can do. PLEASE DO NOT BUT WHIRLPOOL WASHERS AND DRYERS!!!!

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 6300 washer based off the salesmans recommendation (not very happy about this). After the warranty ran out, every time in the spin cycle, it makes a sound similar to a piece of metal banging around inside the cylinder during the cycle. Our friends have told us they had a similar experience and for their machine, they found out the bearings were going out. Weve had this machine a total of 3 years. I doubt we ever buy another item from HH Gregg plus will do our investigation on Consumer Buyers digest before we toss any more money out for a washing machine.

We purchased Whirlpool sports model on 2/1/2011. We faced a problem with the motor in a month’s time. The service man told that there are fluctuations in the power so it went wrong. They replaced it after 15-20 days’ time. We also complained that it’s making noise and then he told that we should keep it on the stand. We did so, even then, it’s still noisy. Now about 3 weeks back, suddenly it stopped working during the wash. I never overloaded the washing machine. We complained to the dealer. The mechanic came and told that we had to replace some parts and he will get in a couple of days, but he never turned up. When we contacted the dealer, he said that the parts were unavailable and he will send them in a couple of days. I am fed up of that answer. We could have purchased IFB instead of this.

Purchased top loading Whirlpool Washer WTW5000DW0 10/12/2015 at Best Buys, first no agitator machine for us. Two weeks later I call for repair service because of the noise from tub. Explained in other reviews as earthquake or jet engines. The machine is in the garage and can be heard through the walls into the house. Repair tells this is normal for the machine and it must be our first none agitator machine.I then purchased a extended warranty policy through Whirlpool. 12/13/2016 machine no longer washing clothes. Call Whirlpool for service. Repair came out 01/17/2017 (a month later). Washer plate had to be replaced. The gear was completely shredded. Not in stock, waited 2 weeks to get repaired. Tension springs on outer tub replaced at same time. Was told the excessive grinding and bumping of the tub was not the reason for the gear shredding.06/30/2017 same problem, I set a repair date 07/01/2017 between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. No one shows and no call. I call Whirlpool and they are sorry and set the appointment the same day for before 5:00 p.m. No one shows our calls. I call back. Already closed. I call the next day. Sets a new date 07/05/2017, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Same problem. I called back speak to a supervisor who says hell get to problem and find out whats wrong. Sets a new date 07/08/2017 8:00 to 12:00 p.m. 07/07/2017 I get a call after 5:00 p.m. that the repairman is not available and can we reset for 07/13/2017. I hung up and called back the next day and spoke to a supervisor I had previously spoke with. He called an outside repair company that Whirlpool uses in this area. New date 07/12/2017. Repairman shows and I explain the washer plate was loose again and I smelled metal burning. I had told my wife to continue to use the machine to wash the clothes. The repairman tells me I voided the warranty by doing this. Im standing in the garage while he has his head in the machine trying to get the washer plate out. He shuts the lid and turns the machine on wash/spin says the machine is ok. We have an exchange of words and tell him I want to see the washer plate gears. He says he cant get the plate out now and I wasnt there for him to show it to me. This continued until he forced the plate off. He called Tech Support to say I voided the warranty. He told them customer claims loud noises and banging. I asked to speak to Tech but he tells me they dont speak with the customer. I looked at the gears on the washer plate and the transmission. Both had metal shavings. He tells me he is going to do me a favor and replace both. Its supposed to take a week. Wait and see. I have asked for a replacement or money for the machine through Whirlpool. I was told there has to be at least 4 repair requests for the same problem and the repairman has to determine that there is a problem or that its a lemon. I will not recommend or purchase another Whirlpool product.

Purchased new Whirlpool 2-door, side by side refrigerator from Standards store in December 2010 for close to TT$10,000. For 2-3 years, it made a very loud noise. Each time it cut off that disturbed my peace and quiet. I complained, to no avail. In early 2015 or thereabouts I began experiencing severe warming problems in the non-freezer compartment and, since that time, I have suffered large losses from spoilage. The warming coincides with over-freezing (icicles, thick frost formation and whirling, dense cold air) in the freezer compartment and icing up of the vents in the non-freezer section. Moreover, the cool air flows from the top vent only when the freezer door is left open. Since that time Ive only been able to marginally cool the non-freezer section by unplugging for up to an entire day, at least once per week. I believe this is a manufacturing flaw rendering the non-freezer section not fit for its purpose although it manifested itself sometime after purchase. My prior experience with another brand has been totally different (13 years and still working). It is totally frustrating. It is also unsafe since spoilage is sometimes difficult to detect. Here, we have to deal with the seller and that is often a hopeless situation, particularly outside of the warranty, as has been my experience with another household appliance. Ive been advised by independent technicians who reportedly have encountered this problem that the solution lies in boring a hole connecting the two compartments which then enables efficient cooling of the non-freezer compartment. Quite frankly, I would like to have the refrigerator replaced despite the fact that it is outside of the warranty.

I purchased a compact frontload washer. At first, I was getting a code f30, which took the technician weeks of coming to my home and changing different parts to finally accomplish that problem. After that, the machine would not go into high spin to wring the clothes out. So everything comes out soaking wet. After two different companies (Herbs Appliance and DanMarc Appliance which I got from my service contract) changed speed control, board, latch control, main computer, and top control board, the machine finally worked for a little while. Not long after, the machine is no longer wringing out once again. I am no longer under contract but had a repairman out three times to inform me this machine is a lemon. Whirlpool tells me I am no longer under contract, but my argument is this is not a new problem but a preexisting one.

I dont recommend this product to anyone. When you try to clean the washer it leaks out the bottom. After 2 years of use it now beeps 9 - 10 times and I have to reset it after each beep to get it to run. Then in the middle of the rinse cycle it does the same thing all over again. Brand new Whirlpool dishwasher from PC Richards. Model #WDT710PAYB2. Dont buy one of these! In the store, I was turned off by the panel being on top of the door and not visible when the door is closed. I dont understand why anyone would not want to see the cycles and operation but my husband insisted that was a good thing so I agreed to purchase. Well, its horrible! I pressed the panel buttons the first time I tried to use it, and the panel switch is erratic and all over the place. For example, if I press Normal, the Heavy cycle button light goes on. When I hit start, all the button lights shut off. I finally get all the lights to stay on and hit start (after about 10 tries) and when I shut the door, the start button blinks and beeps! The dishwasher does not start. After many attempts, I got it to run, miraculously, for about 10 minutes. It emptied the detergent dispenser and left everything inside wet and slimy. Nice. I cant believe Whirlpool would sell such an inferior product. I have always been a loyal Whirlpool customer, but after this experience, I think its time to switch appliance brands. Now I have to be inconvenienced without a dishwasher after spending over $500 and wait for a repairman. Thanks, Whirlpool!

Purchased this dishwasher in January 2012, and it stopped working in May 2015. We replaced thermal fuse a year ago and just had to replace the control panel. It worked for 1 day and through 2 wash cycles, but during the 3rd wash cycle, it failed to drain and no power again, which is the same problem we had before. We opted to also replace the control board, just to be safe. Lol. What a piece of junk! Whirlpool is a pathetic excuse for a company, and, judging from others experiences with the customer service department, we will not bother contacting these ** since they clearly have no interest in providing any service at all to their customers. I have had many other lower end dishwasher models, and all of them worked well past the 5 - 10 year mark and never stopped working or required any service. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER APPLIANCE FROM WHIRLPOOL AND HAVE SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE I KNOW. Good luck, Whirlpool. I do not expect they will be around in 10 years. Lol. Do not give your hard earned money to these idiots for the junk that they peddle, and please let your local appliance dealer know why you wish to purchase any other brand BUT Whirlpool. Consumers are not stupid, Whirlpool! You are ignorant for banking on that and should be shut down for your unfair business practices, not to mention misrepresentation of your despicable products.

Our 2.5 year old Whirlpool top loading clothes washer started leaking from the bottom, enough to form a sizable puddle that ran under the dryer all the way to the wall. It was still under warranty so we called the company and they recommended a repair service. Guy came couldnt really identify the exact problem but said hed order parts to stop the leak. That was 6 weeks ago. He cant get the parts despite us calling about every week to see if the parts came in. So for the last month weve been taking our clothes to a laundromat. We installed this furnace along with a matching 4ton a/c unit over four yea
We installed this furnace along with a matching 4ton a/c unit over four years ago. It was installed with a 3 zone computer controlled damper system to separately condition the three floors of our home. This furnace was ideal because it has a dual stage combustion chamber depending on how much demand there is. So besides being 95% efficient, the furnace can run at 70% or 100% heating capacity which saves on utility bills when the whole house doesn't need heat at the same time. It also had a variable speed blower which made start ups and shut downs almost unnoticeable. The blower actually ramps up to speed discreetly and adjusts itself according to the amount of back-pressure it senses. This allows it to respond to varying conditions as each of the 3 thermostats are calling for heating or cooling at different times. And yes here in St. Louis we have had days that require heat on the first floor and a/c on the third floor at the same time. The controller cycles between the two every 15 mintutes. All of these features make it ideal for our 2200sq ft three story brick home(four including the basement where it is installed). This furnace and control system along with new ductwork and dampers were able to replace the two old furnaces and a/c units originally in the home. We haven't had a single problem with it in over four years and would recommend Whirlpool Gold products to anyone I know. If I ever had to do this again in another house I would do exactly the same thing with exactly the same products.

Thermal couple went out and nobody has one. You have to get it from whirlpool. This could be a easy fix with buying a $6.00 thermal couple but the one on mine has left handed threads. I took it to several parts places and they all said you have to buy it from whirlpool so you have to call the 1 800 number and they ask you how soon do you want it, 5 to 6 days to take a shower for $10 shipping, or $20 for 3 to 4 days without a shower or $32 for overnight? This ** should be free if they are the only ones that have it. I never heard of this crap before. The funny thing is they told me I should replace my water heater since the warranty is expired. Dont worry I will buy a new one someday and it will be anything but a whirlpool. I will never buy anything whirlpool again and make sure my family never buys whirlpool.

I had my kitchen remodeled and purchased a Whirlpool built in electric microwave and lower oven combo (Models WOC54E and WOC95E). I selected this product because it had the right dimensions for my kitchen and I thought Whirlpool was a quality brand. Well I was completely incorrect about the latter point. Within just a few months, I noticed a drip line in the microwave door, between the outer and inner panel that could not be accessed to clean. I barely used the appliance and had no explosions in the unit that would account for this unsightly stain. When I called Whirlpool, they told me that cleaning and resealing the microwave door was not covered by warranty, and if I fixed the problem, then I would invalidate the warranty on the appliance. I had no choice but to live with this drip line, which has now been joined by others. I can think only that this is caused by condensation and that the door is permeable to moisture. Then there is the oven: When it is in use and for at least 30 min after, the fan on the unit is deafening. Not just a little noisy, but really loud. This is my first experience with Whirlpool and its products, and I would NEVER purchase others. They are not inexpensive and are clearly of substandard quality. The fact that Whirlpool is prepared to put a defective product on the market and then not be prepared to fix problems with the unit is appalling. DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL.

When I purchased my Cabrio washer 31/2 years ago I didnt bother to check reviews since Whirlpool was suppose to be the best of the best. An expensive lesson! A washer that spits out codes?!?! Whos got time for this? We paid 899.00 plus taxes for it, now we paid a repairman 99.00 to tell us its not worth fixing. He said the bearings were completely shot. As he was leaving he said his next service call was for the same type of washer! Whatever happened to appliances that last! Going green is all the rage but yet everything from cars to appliances is built to last only a short while. Judging by these reviews I cant believe Whirlpool didnt recall their garbage!

This is an AMAZING dryer. Probably the best I've ever used. My husband & I live in a mobile home so our main reason for purchase is the fact it is VENTLESS & it's compact. The dryer is so quiet. You can hardly hear it with a tv going. It doesn't take any more time to dry than another modern dryer. The end result are damp clothes, however there is enough steam and heat left in the bin at the end of the cycle to where if you fluff the clothes they'll be dry in a matter of seconds. The dryer acts as a dehumidifier by capturing moisture from the air it uses. All the features are up to date and easy to figure out. It's worked extremely well since we've had it and I'm happy to say we LOVE IT!

Whirlpool Gold Convection Oven - I bought this new oven, cleaned it once. The bottom cracked where the spills had been. Since Id had it only two months, repair tried to say it was only cosmetic but had to replace it. Next time I cleaned the oven for multiple spills, (a year later) it cracked again, giving the bottom a shattered look where the spills were. I only cleaned it once and the bottom is ruined. I dont expect Whirlpool to stand behind this, but I agree these Convection Ovens require a Class Action Suit because they are selling faulty merchandise. Period.

Whirlpool Du1100xtpb3 dishwasher: The spring on the latch keeps coming off (3 times in two months). The service repair man charged me for replacing the latch when all that was wrong with it was the spring. That being said, now we are fixing it ourselves. For your information, there is a paper in the bottom of the dishwasher that tells you what is wrong by how the lights are flashing. So each time we replace the spring, we have to reprogram it by pushing a sequence of buttons. Still, I cant figure why the spring wont stay on. Help me if you can.

I purchased my refrigerator four years ago from Lowes. From the second year ice would form in the bottom of the freezer weekly. This past week it stopped working totally. I had to call a repairman. He advised me the parts he had to replace were outdated and Whirlpool had made changes to the my refrigerator model two years ago. No recall. Just cheap parts that caused the refrigerator to not defrost. $400 later all is well and I am broke. I wrote to Whirlpool and their response was, Oh well, there was never a recall so youre SOL.

On July 30, 2009, we purchased a Whirlpool Gold French door refrigerator with the freezer drawer on the bottom. It was delivered on August 1, 2009. On August 3, 2009, the ice maker and water dispenser stopped working. After three unsuccessful service calls and the installation of various replacement parts, Whirlpool gave up the effort to fix the ice maker and water dispenser and delivered a new replacement refrigerator on October 15, 2009. Todays date is April 14, 2012 and here we go again, the ice maker and water dispenser stopped working. Luckily, I purchased a five year warranty on the unit. However, after reading all of the posts about fire hazard issues and other various issues with Whirlpool refrigerators, well probably go out and buy a new refrigerator and write-off the $2,500 that we spent for this refrigerator as a bad investment. We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator based upon their reputation of providing sound products. However, based upon this experience, I can guarantee the folks at Whirlpool that our next refrigerator purchase will not be a Whirlpool product or a product of any subsidiary of Whirlpool.

Purchased a matching set, Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washing Machine and Dryer in November of 2012. After just over 2 years, Im stuck replacing the Washing Machine at my expense! The washing machine began leaking water out of the bottom of the unit and became extremely loud when operating it. The repair technician said it was a seal and bearing that needed replaced and the cost of repairing the unit would be cost prohibitive versus replacing the unit all together ($800+)! Originally paid over 2K to purchase these units and have them installed. I do not want to trust or rely on the Whirlpool brand again. I would appreciate any recommendation for a better quality, high capacity, HE washing machine brand to replace the Whirlpool unit with (Samsung, GE, LG)??

Bought this fridge at Best Buy because it was beautiful and thought it would go perfect in my new home. We allowed the fridge to regulate for 72 hours (even though it only needs 24) and it didnt cool properly or make ice. 3 calls later to the 800 number (along with three scheduled repair visits) and Im getting the run-around. 1st excuse was that I needed to order parts. 2nd excuse was that it was a bad sensor due to the manufacturer. The 3rd excuse was that the fridge door wasnt aligned properly, thus not sealing properly and not allowing the fridge to regulate, which causes it to freeze over. My ice maker also hasnt worked once in this entire ordeal. The issue still isnt resolved and I am vowing to never spend thousands of dollars on this brand again. Spare yourself the headache and go with a less glitzy, more trusted brand.

The Whirlpool Gold Series we purchased, to replace the older refrigerator, has far exceeded our expectations. The French Door setup was exactly what my wife had talked about. The saleslady at Home Depot, where it was the least expensive by $283, was very well informed. We went through the specs, colors, types of finishes, etc and picked the perfect one for my wife's needs and wants. The model performs well fully loaded or almost empty. She told a few family members and they went out and bought the same model, or next model up, as we did. To wrap it all up, "Buy this. It performs as well as, if not better, than all the rest."

The technician said it was normal and it will stop in 2 to 3 days. The leaking never stopped, multiple attempts has not solved the problem and the fridge has never stopped leaking. We have to keep towels under the water dispenser to prevent damage to our kitchen wood. Despite the problem existing from day one of delivery, a replacement or refund has been declined to us. Sears technical assistance was not able to remedy the problem, after a series of missed appointments. Sears technical service attempted to fix the problem without success and has not suggested any further solution. Sears technical service claimed that they have been in contact with Whirlpool. During the warranty period, we asked for a replacement or a refund. Nothing has been done. Whirlpool just provides lemons to their customers.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio with the touch panel and top loader. The absolute worst. The machine leaves white marks all over dark clothes even when the extra rinse feature is used. Ive tried multiple detergents, skipping fabric softener completely, using very little detergent, and even tried different water temperatures. Nothing works. And should one have to go through such extremes to not have white streaks left on dark clothes? Absolutely not especially for the money spent. The machine wrinkles clothes like I have never see before. The dryer usually gets them out but not always. They are mangled after washing. Using the first or second spin speed helps reduce some but they are wetter going into the dryer that way. If I wash bed clothes, the tight fitting sheet that fits snugly around the mattress must be washed alone. If not, all the other items end up encased in it as if youve intentionally packed it that way to carry everything around. This leaves everything absolutely soaked. I have also had shirts come out with dry spots on them. How does a piece of clothing come out of a washer with more than one dry spot on it? And no I did not over pack the machine.I have had no problems with the dryer. It does its job so no complaints on that. I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio to my worst enemy. Complete waste of time, money, and water!!! Very disappointed and will never buy from this company again and will prevent anyone else from doing so the rest of my life. Did the company do zero testing on this machine before selling it? Because I see a lot of repetitive reviews. Or the company was well aware and did not care and just wanted to make money? Either way is unacceptable. Garbage!!!

I purchased a new home and then purchased 4 appliances, all Whirlpool Gold. In less than a year, the stoves electronic ignition and the microwave hood keypad went out. Since they were under warranty, a repairman replaced a bunch of parts and now they are working fine. One month after the refrigerator was out of warranty, the water line to the ice cube maker split about an inch and a half and water would spew out onto the hardwood floor under the unit. We were on vacation for all that month and didnt see any damage until one day there was a puddle in front of the refrigerator. When we pulled it out, we saw that the floor was ruined under the unit, the cabinet next to it black with mold and of course, the line had to be replaced. Whirlpool wasnt interested in the fact that the refrigerator had probably still been under warranty when the split occurred, only that we hadnt reported it before the warranty expired. Next to go was the water seal that goes on the inside of the door of the dishwasher. I was running it about a month after the refrigerator debacle and water came spewing out of the side. The seal had come out and nothing was stopping the water from exiting out the side of the door. Thats 4 for 4 in less than 15 months. I will never buy a Whirlpool product. They couldnt be any worse.

I purchased a Cabrio washing machine and discovered multiple repair issues over the last few months. I have had to replace a pump for $85 and now the machine will not complete a cycle. I found out the the whole thing is rusted above the barrel which is causing a leak in the back and leaving our floors covered in rust shavings. From my research and reading others reviews and issues, they pay for a serviceman to come out and still it does not solve the problem. My husband is a student in college and we are living off student loans. We bought this machine because we trusted that a Whirlpool would last and be a good investment. I am very displeased on this machine and doubt I will ever put my trust in Whirlpool again. I called to complain and got the typical response I have read others got. I am not paying for a service call when it will not fix the washer in the end. I plan to file complaint after complaint and encourage any class action suit against Whirlpool for producing a poor washing machine and misadvertisement on this machine. I will move forward in this. I feel that as consumers we have a right and should have a sense of ease when you spend $900 on a product that it should work and not give out as it has so quickly. If there has been multiple people with common complaints, then there should be a recall on this washing machine.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW7340XW sounds like a small jet during spin cycle
Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW7340XW sounds like a small jet during spin cycle. The Whirlpool Cabrio Washers have a very well known and well documented problem with the tub bearings failing. Many many disgruntled owners have posted their complaints online, and there are many videos showing the issue on youtube. This issue is so prevalent that the manufacturer has created a tub bearing failure repair kit for $350. The repair is so expensive and labor intensive that many of the certified Whirlpool repair shops no longer work on the Cabrio washer stating that a better washer can be purchased for the cost of this repair. That said, the manufacturers customer service group denies that the Cabrio tub bearing failures is a common problem and are quick to state that Whirlpool holds no liability for this problem. Ramping the complaint up to a customer service supervisor is met with the same canned response. Regardless of the thousands of complaints Whirlpool is claiming that it is normal wear and tear for the tub bearings to fail. The manufacturer should recall the units for this manufacturing defect in the Cabrio design.

I purchased a built in black stainless-steel Whirlpool refrigerator in June and took delivery in September 2017. It quit making ice in December and I was told to replace the water filter. So, I did - still no ice. Fast forward to May 2018 still not making ice so finally got repair person out under warranty. He could not figure it out so reset it and said to wait 24 hours and see if there is ice. There was no ice. AND in the morning the whole unit was not working - lost all my food in the fridge and freezer - NOT covered by warranty. A few days later a different guy comes and says the guy that was there is an idiot and no longer with the company. Again, this guy can’t figure out what the issue is between himself and the Whirlpool tech on the phone so he does his thing and gets the fridge on again. Still no ice. Fast forward to 6/20/18 repair guy has been out 3 times and not been able to figure out the issue between his knowledge and Whirlpools team on the phone with him. At one point it worked for a few days and then died again and AGAIN lost all food in fridge and freezer - NOT covered under warranty. As of today even though I have not had a fridge since 5/10/18 and they won’t be back until 6/28/18 and they are just shooting in the dark on the repair cause they never have figured out what the problem is Whirlpool will not replace the unit until this attempt fails. If this attempt fails then they will review/recommend replacement of the unit which will take 2 weeks. That means that Whirlpool is OK with the consumer being out of a refrigerator for almost 3 months or more, losing time and money at work to meet with the repair person multiple times, having spent thousands of dollars on the unit and losing hundreds of dollars’ worth of food. Not to mention the inconvenience and cost of not having refrigerator for a family with a working mother, 2 teenagers and a 90 year old grandmother/great grandmother. But, hey it’s the way the warranty works right?!

I am on my 3rd refrigerator from Whirlpool. The first one lasted 8 years, the second one lasted 6 years, and now the 3rd one has only lasted 4 years. This is just too much money to pay for a supposedly nice quality product and it go out as the warranty goes out. The second we had to replace the icemaker 3 times and a compressor. Now the 3rd is not cooling.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio model # WTW6400SW3 in 04/08. Approx. 6 months ago, the washer started to be un-level during the spin cycle. This has progressively become worse, it now becomes un-level during the rinse cycle. We spoke with the appliance store where we purchased it, ;hey said the repairs could cost $400 or more. Thats nearly half of what it cost new. Like other complaints Ive read, cheaper washers have lasted years longer than the Whirlpool. Our last washer, a Kenmore, lasted 15 years.

My refrigerator will be 3 years old in September. It stopped working two months after my warranty ended, in November Thanksgiving Day. I was so thankful that I had snow on my deck to keep everything cold. I had several family members in my house and watching my husband defrost a frost-free frig? This was a nightmare. Then a few weeks later, my husband company refrigerators did the same thing: freeze up and stop working. He defrosted theirs as well.I know that lots of consumers have had the same issue with any of the bottom freezer refrigerator doing the same thing. I think we, consumers, should make these company recall these lemons. Why should we have to pay more and buy more our parents had their appliances last for years. He had done this approximately 3 times since my warranty ended in September of last year. The problem is the food goes bad, the freezer ices up, causing the refrigerator to ice up and stop the air flow.I contacted the company and this is what they told me: I had to pay $295.12 to get the repair completed. It was the DEF control board. I guess others have the compressor go out and that cost over $600 to fix. Why is it our fault as a consumer buying their products promised and concern for 1 year, not 10 years. It is no wonder why America is broke? My question to the Whirlpool was, how on earth can this be the consumers fault? Here is their reply:According to the model and serial number provided, we do not indicate that there are any known recalls with this particular model. A recall requires that a product poses a threat to a persons life or health. Since this is not the case in this instance, we do not have a recall. Once a product warranty has expired, any costs for maintenance, service, or component replacements are then within the owners time frame of responsibility. Taking this into consideration, I regret to inform you that due to the age of the product, we will be unable to assist with the cost of the repair. If you have purchased an extended warranty, we would recommend contacting your extended warranty provider directly to discuss the options they provide.Oh, they sent me a postcard asking if the repair service I received was good... Yes, the company who came out did a fantastic job. I think I may have to call them back; it is acting up again. I have 90 day warranty....

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio, Model no. WTW5640XW2, on March 3, 2012. I have tried every setting and water temperature and am totally dissatisfied with the washer. It does not clean clothes, tangles them into a twisted mess which requires that they be vigorously shaken out, destroys anything with a draw string. I had an online chat with a representative and was told she was sorry. I posted to Facebook and did receive a call from a repairman, which I will return; however, I do not anticipate receiving any satisfaction. The machine is worthless for washing clothes. I was better off with my 12-year old agitator Whirlpool washer. I do not understand how this machine can be allowed to stay on the market. Id be better off at the river beating my clothes against rocks. I hope someone will get on Whirlpool to give consumer refunds. I have been brought to tears by this machine and I am one tough cookie. Please help!

Ive had trouble with my washing machine since the end of May 2011. I have had over 5 service/repair calls which still resulted with the same problem. By the way, I do have a warranty on this product (which hasnt seem to have helped at all). I have never had such poor customer service in my life as I have had from Sears and can assure you, I will never buy another product from Sears or Whirlpool considering the experience I have had. I have missed numerous days at work only to wait for a repair appointment that never happened. Needless to say, I am very disappointed and would not recommend anyone to buy from Sears or Whirlpool.

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio 5.3 cubic foot washing machine to replace a Samsung equivalent machine. I am so extremely disappointed with it. As a mother of nine (seven of them boys) I need a quality machine. Unfortunately this is not one. The clothes come out of the machine just as dirty as they went in. The pants still have dirt on the knees. I think a rinse in the sink would yield better results. I use the highest soil setting, warmest water fabric will allow, and exclusively Tide detergent. I only fill the tub with half a load (completely voiding the value of large capacity) and yet still have to run clothes through twice.I really don’t have time for this. All the kids clothes have to be inspected before drying. I wish I could go back in time and keep my Samsung which was recalled. I would rather take the risk of an exploding machine than deal with this one any longer. Unfortunately, after spending over $1000 on the washer (and buying the matching dryer) I’m stuck with this useless machine. I hope others don’t make the same mistake I did.

Now when our refrigerator arrived at their center. Now they are again asking for 3400 rs for other part. Im so frustrated by this service. What type of warranty you are giving.. Last week dishwasher leaked. Set up repair with our local gas company that has service plus. Came today. Repairman showed me there is a hole in the bottom of the tub. Upon closer inspection it looks like the manufacturer drilled a hole that wasnt needed so they routed out a depression in the tub and must have put in some sort of plug or filler of some kind which now came out. I called Whirlpool and explained to lady about the defective tub. She said well if it had a plug of some sort put into the tub it would have fallen out before this. I said Well it didnt it just must have happened as it never leaked before. She said it is no longer in warranty. I told her this is a defect to me as if you drill a hole in the tub that wasnt necessary and then the plug failed that you put in to hide the extra hole. It is a defect not a warranty issue. Upshot is she wouldnt do anything about it. I told her I have always bought Whirlpool but if this is their policy its the last time I buy anything made by Whirlpool. After reading all the complaints registered here about Whirlpool I guess I am more than fortunate as my dishwasher (bought in 2006) had run great until their plug fell out (Great except for all the rinse aid that has leaked out for several years.).

I have been extremely dissatisfied with the Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine!!! I tried to take it back and Lowes would not let me return it because I had had it for 6 months. It doesnt put enough water in the machine to get all of the clothes wet. It doesnt get the clothes clean and it leaves some kind of lint residue all over dark clothes. I am only able to put in 1/4 of the clothes I put in my Maytag washer which I loved, but it wore out. I am also short and it is so deep I have to use a stool to get up on to reach into so i can reach the bottom of the machine. Even though it is a huge tub, I can only put a few pieces of clothes in it to get it to clean the clothes. It is a very poor design and needs to be recalled!

I purchased this set in November 2013, it is now October 2014. I made the same mistake as many others have made (according to the reviews that I have read on this site). Because I have owned Whirlpool brand appliances before - including washers/dryers - I assumed this new HE machine set would be every bit as good + quality. Unfortunately, I did not do my homework!Everyone is right - this Cabrio HE washer/dryer combo is nothing more than expensive JUNK!. My complaints are all the same as everyone elses: the clothes do not get clean, soap residue remains on clothes, the clothes even have parts of the articles come out of the wash cycle dry not even having had the water touch the articles in areas! The dryer has been repaired once already for a dryer sensor problem & overheating, now both the washer & dryer are making some ridiculous hum-drum noises! Even with the extended warranty that I purchased, I can see the loop holes built into it; theyve got me over a barrel with the nonsense mumble-jumble tactics of having to qualify for adequate service repairs for replacement of parts (3x on each machine) they cant find, before even attempting to negotiate a buyout that will never happen. Never again, Whirlpool anything!!!

Near the beginning of September I started having trouble with my dishwasher. I called for service to be informed it would be a week before someone would be able to see to my broken dishwasher - which of course is a long wait just for a diagnosis call so decided to call another provider to get my dishwasher fixed in a more timely manner. The repair person informed me that it was the control panel but he suggested we call Whirlpool in order to have it fixed as the part should be covered under warranty. Much to my sadness I had to call again for an appointment with Whirlpool to find out I would wait for a week for a repair person to come out even though I already knew it was the control panel and asked them to order the part right away.Sept. 13 repair man from Whirlpool affiliate comes to my house for about 10 minutes to tell me what I already knew - it was control panel and maybe 1 other part. Cost $99.00 for just 10 minutes - Wow! Then the repair person said he would order the part right away /estimated to be back Monday September 19th great! Two weeks go by we have heard nothing about our part or possible repair of our dishwasher. Call Hurst appliance to see what is happening to be informed the panel is on back order - and they have no clue when it will be available. I should call the manufacturer. Call manufacturer to be told part might possibly be available - Oct 5th - from the United States from somewhere out east in Canada. Who knows? Oct 5th comes and goes as of Monday October 11 have heard nothing about my dishwasher and when it will be repaired - phone manufacturer - by the way which is in Tennessee. What a joke! She says the part is still on backorder but that a replacement part for the back ordered part is miraculously available - she couldnt tell me when that came about, so still have no clue when my dishwasher will be fixed. They have offered to reimburse me the $99.00 service call, but seriously should it take over 6 weeks to have your dishwasher fixed. I still have no clue how long it will take for the part to get here and installed. For 2 cents I would return all my KitchenAid appliances but especially my dishwasher. $99.00 does not appease me. I would like them to cover the labour to fix my dishwasher or a new dishwasher. What garbage and asked to talk to someone higher than the supervisor Gabby of the customer service dept. and was told she is the highest person in Whirlpool I could talk to - thats a joke. We moved into our new condo a few months ago and my wife noticed that the knobs and front of our new Whirlpool Stove were getting too hot to touch so we called Whirlpool and since then never used stove. Was over one year old, we had to call their factor service representative. The charge was $98 plus labor $90 to tell us that even though the surfaces were way too hot to touch and dangerous to touch they were still within the factory specs of 167 degrees for the knobs, 152 degrees for the drawer, and 172 degrees for the front glass. He found the front of the unit reached 152 degrees which was hot enough to cause a serious burn when the stove was only set to 400 degrees. Why would a company set specs that will cause serious injuries? If my wife or grandchildren get burned by this crappy stove Whirlpool will be hearing from my lawyer. This is the information I tried to send to Whirlpool only to get a message that it was undeliverable: I purchased a set of whirlpool cabrio washer and dryer on 10-23-2013 (model numbers WTW8540BW, and WED8500BW). On 01-25-15 the washing machine failed to power up just over 2 months out of the standard warranty. This wasnt the low end cheap models. With cash discounts we paid over $1600.00 for the set. After a $70.00 dollar charge to the repairman we are told that the unit has a bad electric control board (part # W10761026). And unfortunately the part is on back order until March 1st, 2015 as of right now. So if and when the repairman gets the part and installs it, I get to pay him an additional $260.00. My family has always been such a dedicated Whirlpool appliance purchaser but this is wrong.Oh I almost forget, now I have to rent a washing machine at a cost of $55.00 per month until mine is repaired. I believed I was purchasing Whirlpool quality. The type of quality that doesnt need an extended warranty because Whirlpool is made to last correct?
