It’s a great stove. I love the glass top. Only dislike about mine is that it doesn’t have the self-cleaning option. I’m very weak in arms and have back injury so bending over to clean it myself is not possible.

Wish I had done more homework before I purchased a Cabrio washer and dryer.
Wish I had done more homework before I purchased a Cabrio washer and dryer. The washer uses so little water that I sometimes find dry spots on clothing when I take it out. How can it possibly be clean if it doesnt even get entirely wet? I now pre-rinse all of my underwear before putting it in the machine. I know the instructions say not to put in wet clothing, but if it breaks sooner, Ill get to replace it sooner with a more traditional model. I always use the lowest spin speed - anything else makes my clothes hopelessly wrinkled. I like the large tub for washing blankets and comforters. Thats about the only advantage I can think of. The dryer sensor quite often goes off after about 2 minutes if I use any setting other than the delicate or timed features. Ive had the machines for 2 years and had the dryer repaired once under the extended warranty I purchased. Very disappointing purchase.

Whirlpool Duet 3.9 cu ft High-Efficiency WFW9451XW00 - Hear my first experience with Whirlpool. I purchased a washer machine 30 April 2014. Guess what - machine stop working suddenly on July 30th, just about three months later. I had a lot of guest from overseas. While they visit me, I did not have my washer machine. How embarrassing. It was big mistake to buy Whirlpool. It is all made plastic inside and they uses cheap Chinese material. Anyway, technician came house to check what the problem was... all control system was burned. He ordered almost 10 parts from Whirlpool on 04 August. Whirlpool scheduled delivery for 20 of August. I called them for them to send the parts faster so my guests could wash their clothes. They send them little faster for August 16. After a day, technician was in the house again. I waited about 3 hours for him to fix my machine. He was really nice guy. He put install all new parts. Just in front of me, new parts broke after 5 minute. Whirlpool still did not contact me about their decision. Today is August 26th... I called them 5 time already - Nobody give me useful info. NO Whirlpool, guys - bad service.

We bought our washer about 3 years ago brand new from Lowes. Like others, I have had problems with holes in clothing and spots that looked like grease. It worked well up until recently when we noticed some brown splatters on the floor. Shortly after it made a loud noise like a plane taking off and the load would become unbalanced. We researched and found many people were having issues with the bearings going bad. My husband was going to order parts to fix it but you have to have a special tool that is expensive to buy... It was going to be almost $200 to repair ourselves! He called a washing machine repair man and he said he doesnt even touch them because the repair wont last. I guess were going to be better off buying a new washer. There really needs to be a recall on this product!!!

Purchased new from Best Buy for over $1000. One or two months after the warranty expired the ice through the door malfunctioned, would only spit out crushed all over the floor then clog up. Didnt bother to repair it, just open the freezer. Next, the door would not seal right and frost builds up in my frost free. Also, the ice delivery wont close tight. Now the unit is about 3 years old and I just finished paying it off and all the door shelves are cracking. Contacted Whirlpool and was told by email politely, Too bad. You are out of warranty, but please buy parts from us and say nice things about Whirlpool because we so value our customers. Never will buy Whirlpool again and recommend you DONT.

They have the worst customer service department. The A&E worker who came to my parents house smelled, wasted a bunch of time working on the machine and didnt fix anything! The A&E worker visited my parents house over 10 times and the problem still wasnt fixed! They (worker) have ordered parts after parts and still water keeps running from the bottom of the machine! Someone, please help and cut Whirlpool from the stores! Ive spent almost a whole on the phone trying to help out my elderly parents! Its ** and a lot of headache! On August 16, 2016 I received delivery of an Whirlpool under counter refrigerator that I ordered online from Home Depot. Model # WUR50X24EM. Five months later, on January 10, 2017, it stopped working, I called Whirlpool for repair. They referred me to their service company, I called the service company the same day. They had a repairman out on the following Tuesday, 1/17/17. The repairman said that he will need to contact Whirlpool to order a part. Whirlpool sent him the wrong part. After numerous phone calls no one from Whirlpool could figure out the correct part number. The repairman kept sending over pictures and information on the correct part, but this all went nowhere with Whirlpool. On 2/7/17, I called and started yelling. I had been very patient up to this point. I was finally offered by Whirlpool a parts research to determine exactly which part was needed. Plus a $50 Visa card to appease me. At this point, its been four weeks without a refrigerator and no one from Whirlpool has put any effort towards trying to figure out the correct part. On 2/16/17, I called Whirlpool again to find out if they had found the correct part. They told me that the new part had been sent to the service company and Whirlpool scheduled me an appointment right then for Monday, 2/20/17.So today is 2/20/17, the repairman came and went, Whirlpool once again failed, they lied because the repairman came out with the wrong part that was originally sent to him when he ordered the part back on 1/17/17. I called Whirlpool and asked for a manager. They connected me with the Resolution Specialist. I told her everything and pointed out that it has been six weeks without a refrigerator. She said she will take care of it and get the right part ordered. I asked her how long I should have to wait, cause at this point I have waited long enough. She said she will have an answer by the end of this week. I dont believe her, I feel as though Whirlpool is pacifying me. I dont understand why they cant order the correct part.I have no faith in Whirlpool that they will do the right thing or have any understanding on how inconvenienced they have made me. I have no faith to the point that I ordered another refrigerator from a different manufacturer. It will be here tomorrow between 8am-12pm. Oh, and Home Depot, they washed their hands of this a long time ago. And, I have yet to see the $50 Visa Card.

We bought this Whirlpool washer dryer set last year and extended warranty.
We bought this Whirlpool washer dryer set last year and extended warranty. 7 weeks ago the washer stopped working. I have spent around 60 hours so far trying to get the washer fixed. Have talked to the repair shop as well customer care up and down the chain. 5 visits so far by technicians and still not fixed. Customer care people promise to call back w/update but never do. We were going to buy LG but bought this to give business to an American company. Now our patriotism is bearing fruit. Customer care blames AIG (service contractor) and Whirlpool say that they can’t manage AIG. At the end of our rope with constant trips to laundromats. Have no idea if it will ever be fixed. So frustrating to see the name of Whirlpool tarnished to this extent. Nobody seems to be in charge and everybody passes the buck. Whirlpool is a shameful example of a company that deserves to go out of business.

I have replaced the damper control unit three times the last three years. The part begins to fail after nine months in used. The temperature becomes too cold in the refrigerator and the food started frozen because the damper door wont closed as cold air flows from freezer to the refrigerator. It adds to the displeasure that Whirlpool is not taking care of the shipping cost even the part is under warranty.

Its only been 13 months since repair, and the refrigerator is experiencing the same problems again! Whirlpool is plagued by negative reviews across the internet... hundreds of complaints on Yelp.ca forums, and consumeraffairs.com. There also used to be hundreds of negative Google reviews, but mysteriously all of those reviews have disappeared, and you can no longer leave a Google review for Whirlpool Corporation.

Whirlpool Cabrio - This washer and dryer have been garbage since the beginning. It does not clean soiled clothes and the dryer (gas) has always taken forever to dry a load. I have always had GE prior to this. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again. We even purchased the extended warranty and the repair guy was out yet again and said it is not repairable. Now we are without a washer for 5+ days and its going to be reviewed. Review? I want my money back. Theres a lemon law for cars, there should be one for these machines.

I bought a Whirlpool Duet Front Load Washer in 2008 and it began showing F71 and F70 error code in 2011. I paid approximately $1,000 for the machine. The washer wont finish the cycles and often wont start. When I press the power button, I hear the 3 beeps and after a while, shows the F71 error over and over. The information I gathered online indicates that many people have the same problem. The repair cost is at least $550 to replace the user interface circuit board and is no guarantee. This is ridiculous. How could GE sell consumers this kind of junk that fails to work only after 2 years. I had a top loader for 12 years with no problems, not a single repair call. My wife and I are extremely frustrated with piles of dirty clothes and no washer to clean them. I want GE to refund the cost of the washer on a 10-year prorated basis. This is only fair.

I purchased a top load Whirlpool washer from Lowes 2-8-12. It got so it wouldnt rinse. When it came to that cycle, it just skipped it and went directly to spin. I dont know how long it was doing this before I caught it. A repairman came out said I would need the equivalent of a motherboard that would cost $330.00. Needless to say, couldnt afford that amount for repair. So I purchased a very nice used Amana for $100.00. I always thought Whirlpool was a top of the line product. This has changed my mind. If it wont last any longer than 5 years I dont want it. There are just the two of us and we are retired so the machine was not overused. I am so disappointed and angry about this.

The 12 year warranty, means nothing. The heater only worked for 30 months, and then its upper sensor fault code flashes, and the heater shut down. I called Whirlpool, and they have me use an ohm meter to help troubleshoot the problem. So if you are not handy, you are out of luck. They decided it was my control unit that is defective. They will send me the part free, but I have to pay shipping and installation. What a deal, and what kind of management would dream up of this. The heater is marketed as a 12 year warranty model (only on the tank). Would anyone, having been through this, buy another Whirlpool product?

Kitchen Aid is Whirlpool - Buyer Beware. 1.5 year old dishwasher Model #KUDS35FXSS8 lost power, repairman came and confirmed it to be the panel control and the part is back ordered 4 weeks out. Expected to come day before Thanksgiving, repairman cannot schedule until part arrives thus no guarantee date of fix. Found part online from AppliancePartsPro.com. They shipped it one day later - fixed dishwasher. Whirlpool will not stand behind part because it did not come from them. I have all the proof that it is a Whirlpool Certified Part from a Appliance Parts Pro. Appears Whirlpool would rather have a broken machine in a home rather than help the customer fix it.

We bought a Whirlpool model WFW5620HW front-load washer at Lowes. The unit shook so violently during part of the spin cycle that the Whirlpool-authorized service company technician said not to use it while parts were ordered. It seems the balance ring was not functioning. Parts ordered were shocks and tub assembly. The technician suggested trying to get a whole new unit, as the repair is so intensive he had only done one or two in his career.Whirlpool customer service said they would not replace the unit, and an escalated request had the same response. I think this is terrible customer service - when there is such intensive failure in the unit, they should provide a brand new machine. The work has not yet been done - we are without use of a washer for an unknown period of time, since the order of a tub assembly is so uncommon that they do not have a time estimate. Needless to say, we will never buy Whirlpool again, and suggest you do the same.

I installed my new water heater in 2012. Within 3 months, it was not producing hot water. When I called, a helpful person at the Whirlpool warranty line told me it was because there was too much cold water being mixed into the hot water coming from the tank. I hung up... Called again and was told that they would be able to get someone in 2 weeks out to my house to check it. I told them that was not acceptable. I hung up... I called Lowes, where I bought it. The person on the other line finally, after more than 1 hour, was able to get a repair person out there within 2 days. I had to pay the fee to have the guy come look at my hot water tank, and tell me that he hated Whirlpools. He called Whirlpool, 3 times; he was hung up on 2 times. He explained what had happened was I had a hot water leak, that it probably it was overloaded, the thermostat control everything else was fine. However, that I had installed the heater myself not a professional. Therefore it was not up to NATIONAL code; therefore, Whirlpool refused to honor the warranty. So, short version, in order to get the tank repaired, I was supposed to spend an additional $300-$400 to bring the heater up to code for them to honor the warranty. What you ask made my heater out of code? It is outside in my utility room, and the flue was cut to fit and the OUTSIDE vent pipe was not above the roofline. It didnt matter that it is not in an enclosed space, that this was nothing to do with the reasoning the thermocouple went out.I simply turned up the heat, so far so good. Will I ever buy another Whirlpool? No. I have a Whirlpool fridge bought before the hot water tank situation. The ice maker went out within 6 months of purchase. When I called to have it repaired, the service guy stated he hates Whirlpool. The piece he had to replace was plastic that was replaced with a metal piece that should have been metal to begin with.

Well this became a reoccur theme every 2 - 2 months the refrigerator has an issue with maintaining temperatures cold enough to freeze ice (so puddles of water all over the floor from melted ice in the ice maker) and forget about buying ice cream. We have not purchased ice cream since the second time this piece of junk broke down. This is my FOURTH REPAIR (3 COMPRESSORS, 1 EVAPORATOR, AND, 1 CONTROL PANEL). All but the last repair occurred during the warranty period but Whirlpool refuses to replace the unit. Where to begin? I bought Whirlpool Duet Front-Load Washing Machine about 11 months ago after my top load bearing went bad and start making a lot of noise after 8-9 years. 4 months ago (6 months from purchase) it started to act strange; washing machine will not unlock after a cycle, start throwing F3E1 error. Thats when I first called their support service. Their service technicians are very nice actually. They seem to be local small appliance shop, contacted out by Whirlpool, from my guess. Initial visit was to inform me that Im using WAY too much soap, while I was only using well below what was recommended by Whirlpool manual. RED FLAG #1. Technicians told me to stop using too much soap or start using POD. Also to flush my washing machine with 2 cups of white vinegar in hot cycle every few weeks. Ive changed my soap to Tide POD and starting flushing my washing machine immediately after he left my house. It was running OK, but I still saw F3E1 error at the end of every other cycle, until... thing went really bad one day, it simply stopped responding any command while clothes was still in the washing machine. I unplugged power cable and plug it back, it hums for 10 mins and in the end it was the same result. After several attempt, it finally unlocked itself, thus I could wash my clothes at my parents house. This is when I called support service 2nd time. The same technician came and this time, I had video recording of everything. He could not dismiss this with simple soap theory, so he opens up the washing machine and tells me that its due to bad control board. He proceeds to order new control board, which took a few weeks. New technician comes back with new control board and installs, runs a few test command (not full cycle) and leaves. During this whole time, Im left with no washing machine at home. Good thing I travel sometimes and laundry is done remotely sometimes. This repair didnt improve the situation much. I called them back for another appointment. Another technician comes back and tells me that Whirlpool sent back BAD control board. Now, Im really suspecting their product is really piece of **. At least at this point, I was still happy with their service. He leaves my house claiming that they will order new control board and re-install.A few days later, I receive a call from a lady, claiming that Whirlpool has instructed them to ask me to use different outlet, since they believe my outlet is causing issues. Now Im really pissed. Coming from electrical engineering background, I know theres always any chance, but they should double check this with their own technicians. Anyways, I perform their recommendation, which I knew was a shot in the dark. During this whole ordeal, Im working on a project that are out of state (CA). Not only do I have time to stay home for all these service visits, but Im not even home to test my washing machine. During one of the holiday, I was able to take a few days off. This is when I decided to take different approach. I went to the retailer, whom I purchased my washing machine from. They were also nice, but theres so much they can do.I called Whirlpool direct line to explain my situation, how unhappy I was, and to replace my washing machine. Their response was by the book: We can only execute our warranty policy and replacement is not part of warranty. The representative specialist had enough nerve to ask me why I have not called back in several weeks and continue to repeat it as if its my problem for not reporting back. I had spent 2 months of supports and 4 site visits, where I had to reschedule my work or take a day off, before travelling for projects after holiday seasons. This representative really took customer service to next level of hell. In the end Im without properly functioning washing machine for 4 months. I have to coordinate with my parents to use their washing machine when Im back home. My advice, you should really think 3 times before buying Whirlpool washing machine or any other appliance. Also consider that youre on your own, when their product malfunctions, and youll be sitting on dead appliances.

On December 21, it became clear that I needed to replace our 13-year old Rheem water heater. We decided to buy one from Lowes, 36 miles away and have a handy man install it. He installed the new Whirlpool 50 gal gas water heater with a 12-year warranty on Friday, the 22nd, but could not get it to stay lit. He called Whirlpool to troubleshoot. They said it could be one of two parts and that they would ship the parts on the Monday after Christmas. He asked who would install and they recommended a local plumber. He called that plumber but they indicated they did not do Whirlpool warranty work and would have to charge. On Monday, I called Whirlpool and was assured the parts would be shipped that day for overnight delivery. I confronted them about the local plumber not doing their warranty work so they set up an appointment with a company called A&E for Wednesday morning. On Tuesday morning, I called Whirlpool to get the tracking number on the parts and was told that they did not get shipped on Monday as promised but would be shipped that day, arriving by the end of the day Wednesday, too late for the appointment for installation.By Tuesday night, my wife got on this site and was appalled to read the numerous identical complaints. I decided that Wednesday morning that I would hire a plumber to remove the Whirlpool and install another so we would not have a lifetime of problems from Whirlpool. The plumber installed a different water heater. It started right up and we have had no problems since. I got an R or RA number from Whirlpool which I think they only gave me because the parts had not arrived on time and I returned the piece of ** to Lowes for a refund. Lowes has a seven-day return policy of these.

The main control panel on my Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine broke twice in the second year of ownership. I bought this in 2006. The part was replaced in March 2007 and then again in October 2007. Now, it is broken again and Whirlpool says too bad, they will not replace it again and will cost us $275 to fix it. People have posted about this problem all over the internet. How can they not help their customers and recall this washer part?

When I purchased my Cabrio washer 31/2 years ago I didnt bother to check reviews since Whirlpool was suppose to be the best of the best. An expensive lesson! A washer that spits out codes?!?! Whos got time for this? We paid 899.00 plus taxes for it, now we paid a repairman 99.00 to tell us its not worth fixing. He said the bearings were completely shot. As he was leaving he said his next service call was for the same type of washer! Whatever happened to appliances that last! Going green is all the rage but yet everything from cars to appliances is built to last only a short while. Judging by these reviews I cant believe Whirlpool didnt recall their garbage!

Misinformation provided about their products - I ordered the Whirlpool 30 Drop-In Electric Range pictured in their literature with a gray oven door. When I had it installed, I thought it had a green film covering the oven door. It is not a film. It is the oven door color. It does not show that or talk about it in any of the literature. I would not have bought or paid to have this range installed. The green color does not go in my kitchen! I would sue them for misinformation if I had the money to spare! Since May 3, 2016, five servicemen have failed to repair my Whirlpool refrigerator (WRF560SEYM), which is less than 2 yrs old. One trainee from A&E Factory Service had the nerve to reinstall broken parts. I have been completely without refrigeration for the past 48 hrs only to learn that the repairman scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled because AIG warranty has not approved his visit. Further investigation reveals that the parts were never ordered, pending approval from AIG. Whirlpool cant help me because AIG has not declared the appliance unfixable. Hhgregg cannot help. I have spent countless hours on the phone on hold & wasted hundreds of dollars on spoiled food. Dont trust Whirlpool. Theyre not the company they once were. Their warranties arent worth the paper theyre printed on. Buyer beware!

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer - This is a horrible washer. I just read the reviews after having struggled with dirty clothes, smelly clothes, sour clothes and yes, our water bill is way higher using this nasty machine. I will never buy a Whirlpool again. Very VERY disappointed and dissatisfied with this machine. I usually always read reviews before buying anything but the sales guy at Garner Appliance said this was an awesome machine. We bought the matching set. And to read each and every consistently bad review with the same issues. They should replace these pieces of junk for us free. The dryer doesnt fall too far behind.

Whirlpool refused to disconnect and remove the machine that was obviously broken before it arrived. This is something that no one should have to go through. It is appalling and bad business. I purchased my new Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load washer to replace a Maytag that had finally given out in the summer of 2012. I wish I did more due diligence, but with a toddler and a newborn, I needed a washer asap. I severely regret my $800 purchase from Sears. It is now February 2013 and the machine basically only runs on two cycles - Casual and Normal. All the others stop in mid-cycle. Sometimes, the items are still dry or partially wet so I need to switch to another cycle to complete the wash. This is not good for Delicates or when I wash Whites, Heavy Duty or Bulky items which is one of the reasons I purchased the model. The cycle stops when the items are soaked with massive amounts of water. So I then have to turn it to the Drain cycle and start over. After a day of washing one load, I couldve done it the old-fashioned way in my utility basin sink and hung it out to dry ... I dont have the time for this. I am going to make a formal complaint to Whirlpool and to Sears. I cannot keep spending nearly $1,000 for items that break within a year. These companies should be ashamed of their lack of quality. I shouldve gone with the Electrolux and just dealt with the price tag - I wouldve been much happier.

I bought a 6 year warrantied Whirlpool hot water heater Model N50T61-403, product number 0733318, at Lowes Home Improvement Center and for three years the pilot light fails to stay lit. I have talked with Whirlpool 1-877-817-6750, the number on the unit, many times. I went through the troubleshooting checklist and verified all requirements. I paid a plumber $150 to check it out and he said I needed a larger supply line and venting the closet door would help. I did this and pilot still goes out periodically. Whirlpool sent me a new gas valve and it cost me another $150 to have it installed. The plumber said everything is good. But the pilot is still going out. Called Whirlpool again and talked with them for 24 minutes. The woman on the line was telling me I needed a certain amount of oxygen for this 40,000 BTU model. She was giving me minimum requirements for square or cubic feet of house with 8 inch ceilings. Yes, she said 8 inch ceilings 4 or 5 times as we went over the requirements. I got so frustrated asking her what she was talking about and she hung up on me. I called back and asked for a supervisor and a different woman had me hold on, came back and said a supervisor would call me. I did get a call back and the supervisor wanted to send me another gas valve and a burner assembly. I told him the burner assembly is working fine and I have a new gas valve. I asked him to send me a $150 along with it to pay the plumber. He said they only warranty the parts. So, am I supposed to have $450 in labor plus my time in this product on top of the original cost? I said no thank you and asked him if he would accept this as a solution if he were the customer and he said this is not a personal discussion. I know his answer. I am never buying a Whirlpool product again. But now I need to buy a new, good brand, water heater to replace the Whirlpool piece of junk. Bad product, bad company, bad warranty. I got screwed by Whirlpool once but never again.

Whirlpool refrigerator Model #GX5FHDXVY010, freezer on bottom. Ice maker broke within six months of purchase. Made loud noises, would not function to freeze ice. Turned waterline off and now use ice trays like the old days. Shortly thereafter, second unrelated problem started. Drain line started backing up and runs into the bottom of the freezer floor where it freezes into a thin sheet of ice, and then runs onto the kitchen floor. Have had the line cleaned out over and over again. Have been buying fridges for 50 yrs. and have never had this problem. Whirlpool says call a repairman and pay to have it fixed, but it happens over and over again. Whirlpool should come up with a permanent fix and pay to have it fixed. Based on the numerous complaints of this problem, this model needs a recall now.

I noticed that the light was completely rusted and flaking, the area around the light was rusted as well. I call customer service at which time they said it was not warrantied, but they sent me out a new light. This did not repair the problem! The rust has continued causing the area around the lid joint to break. Also the area around the bleach dispenser is showing rust- the same side as the light and the lid break. They have said this is not covered and only agreed to pay 1/2 of cost of materials (no service).

I purchased a brand new refrigerator model # WRX735SDBM00 Ser # K51621170 on 30 June at Lowes. Paid about 1600.00. Within 5 days the ice maker was no longer functioning. I called the service department and a lengthy ordeal commenced of trying to repair. It is now 13 August 2015 and I have had over 10 visits from a technician and I still have no ice. I made a terrible mistake in not returning the appliance to the store within 30 days so now it has to go through the process which means that now I have to continue to wait until the technicians deem that this appliance is not repairable anymore before I can attempt to get a replacement. In the meantime, we have been inconvenienced, aggravated not to mention not be provided a product that works with no future date where I can get this appliance repaired. The local store management have been great to deal with and are trying but their hands are tied until the manufacturer determines they cant fix. In the meantime, the consumer is continuing to wait for the repair/replacement. No one seems to care or has there been any discussion of some compensation (not necessarily money) for the aggravation and inconvenience I have endured. Something is just not right. Suffice to say, never again will I buy a Whirlpool. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

We bought model WRS571CID*** which has an in-door ice maker that has stopped working after exactly 3 years. An excellent authorized service rep advised that the wire harness from the freezer to the door was damaged by chafing from normal opening and closing the freezer door, which has caused the ice maker wires to break, thereby disabling the ice maker. The only remedy is replacing entire the door, which would cost $1700 according to Whirlpools published repair data, which he is obligated to charge. Apparently, the wiring harness is not a replaceable part, because I suspect the labor hours needed to disassemble and reassemble the door is prohibitive. Well, a new fridge costs about the repair. I spoke to the Whirlpool company about whether they acknowledge that the design is faulty and that the door should be replaced at their expense even out of warranty, and they declined. So I advise prospective buyers to be aware of this issue and watch other reviews. There are many customer reviews on various sites complaining about this very issue. Our workaround is to put ice trays into the freezer to make ice, and while the dispenser still works, pour the ice thus made into the ice dispenser manually - until the wire control that also becomes damaged and stops working. I would not recommend buying this model.

I had the biggest nightmare with your sorry company. On 01/05/2013, I purchased a new 50gal electric water heater from Lowes in Waco, TX. I got the unit installed and the damn thing would not heat. I followed your lame support instructions. I contacted your support tech and diagnosed everything possible. I was told I needed to have an electrician to verify that I was getting enough power. That cost me $75.00 bucks and everything checked out. He was not able to check the water heater since he was not a Whirlpool licensed tech. So I called Lowes to return the water heater. Now this is where your policy at Whirlpool suck! Lowes is not allowed to take back/exchange your crap without an RMA number. I had to get it from Whirlpool directly! I called Whirlpools customer service. They flat out refused to do so. They stated that I need to get a certified Whirlpool tech, but it was up to me to contact one! Their nearest one was from Dallas (2 hours away) and could not come out until later next week! I told the tech that its unacceptable! She even refused to get a supervisor! Plus now I blew up on this one. I had to pay the tech $75.00 up front plus the $75.00 an hour to which it would take 2 1/2 hours for repair. Meaning, I would pay more in a damn service call than the actual cost of the new water heater! Oh, but they would refund me in 60-120 days. I would first verify the work was done and if any overcharges, it would not be refunded! So I say to Whirlpool/GE, your warranty policy is a bunch of **. This includes your customer service team as well! I will never ever purchase a Whirlpool or GE product again. Samsung now has my business. May your company fold! Started researching online about a week ago because my dryer was making an awful noise. Found out that the new idler pulley system the company used in my Whirlpool cabrio washer & dryer model (WED5500XW0) was so ineffective that they have since started replacing it with the old part #691366 they used to use. Also I am having a problem with my washer not spinning all of the water out of the clothes. Found out that this is a common problem with this model (WTW5500XW0).Had a certified repairman out to replace the dryer idler pulley system. He also calibrated the washer to see if that may help (it did not). The repairman said that some of the Whirlpool washers had been recalled and he had actually replaced some control panels and that seemed to work. He suggested that I contact Whirlpool. So I contacted Whirlpool, thinking that they obviously knew that there have been many problems with these machines (idler pulley part being discontinued & and recall on SOME models), and thought they would be more than willing to rectify this problem. Well think again! The two young ladies that I spoke with sounded like robots, Unfortunately, you are not within your 1 year manufacturers warranty so there would be nothing we could do at this time. Although I must tell you, the second young lady I spoke with did offer to sell me a new washer at a deep discounted price of $386 (which is only $86 more than fixing the washer). I think everyone who has a problem should contact Whirlpool and express this dissatisfaction. And if you are shopping for a washer and dryer, stay away from Whirlpool because their customer service is disheartening.

At least for where they were intended to wear them at. They are now yard jeans...yep $98 expensive yard jeans now!!! These were my good jeans which I cant afford to buy more nor replace them so I have to do without. We cant wash anything with strings such as hoodies, shirts or baby clothing with spaghetti straps or little dangle things; we have to use the laundry mat and come home & dry w/ my Cabrio steam dryer which I love. Most everything I have to use zipper net bags but even then things still can get destroyed, especially if a hole gets torn in the bag from the wings of the agitator as you will see in the below photograph. I currently have & own an expensive washer I purchased from HHGregg by Whirlpool replacing a previous whirlpool I owned for 22 years! Yep, Im wishing I had it back & put the $200 some needed to repair it! Please Whirlpool will you please do something & make this right once and for all. I dont have $900 for another washer. I just want to be able to use my washer without it destroying everything I own. I have darn photos of what this is doing and you wouldnt believe it. It took us an hour, yes an hour to untangle a top that became entangled in the flaps on the agitator. This is the worst design I have ever seen and needs to be recalled once and for all and either fixed or replaced with new machines of equal model with the agitation issues resolved or removed & with no issues or further costs to your customers! Why would you honestly believe that an agitator with wings coming off the bottom that are not attached to the bottom would serve some type of positive purpose in cleaning clothing? All it is doing is tearing them to shreds, tangling them up, doing things to hoodies which make them unrecognizable after ripping the cords so hard out of the hoodies that Ive seen them shred the material across the collar area and opening of the cording completely ruining hoodies ranging from $35-$75 a piece even after placing them in mesh bags! Why did we keep placing hoodies in the machine? Well with 4 children at times they just dont listen or get all the info as to what is going on with the machine as 3 were college kids coming home periodically & yes, to do their laundry. Look, lets talk straight. You as a company from what I have learned from appliance salesmen locally and regionally, you knew this was wrong and knew this was your last ditch effort of an agitator before you knowingly knew you were going to an agitator-less unit on your washing machines & already had one ready to go out on the floors. I know that you Whirlpool CEOs knew this unit was a bad call but chose to ignore it. You had to know it because there was no way this could have passed quality control. It had to have failed sometime in its trials showing you the issues of the wings. Unless you never did any quality control on this unit and just rushed it through? Please to the CEOs of Whirlpool, I am asking you to make this right if not for good standing of your company do it at least for families like myself who cant afford to buy another machine and are now stuck with NEW machines yet going to Laundry mats. This was to be my last washing machine I would buy hopefully. I am 54 and was not planning on buying another. How do you think this makes your company look???? Im just so tired of dealing w/ Whirlpool to only hear I have to purchase a $400 extended warranty with no guarantee that they will fix the issue. If an attorney wants to step in & believes they can help us and maybe others then Yes please help us because this is absolutely ridiculous and is a product that needs to be recalled. We are out so much money now and like I said we are to the point we cant purchase another washer. We had to purchase all new appliances as they all began going bad around the same time.

The salesperson was great but we are not happy with our washer. We already had it swapped out once because of white spots showing up on our clothes. The only thing they could think of was that the bleach I used wasnt rinsing out completely so it showed up on our clothes. Recently, I washed a table runner by itself and it had some red in it. Now there are red spots on a couple of items that I washed after the runner. My husband just now asked why there were red spots on a shirt that he wears all the time. I explained. Also, we have had some white spots on clothes and I could scratch it out without leaving a permanent mark. Were no longer using bleach and we use only liquid detergent and all of it is HE. So I dont understand the machine. I hate it.

I purchased a side-by-side Whirlpool fridge and the ice maker stopped working 2 weeks after I purchased it. The retailer said that I would have to go through Whirlpool to resolve the matter. This has gone on for almost six months now. Ive had two service companies do 7 service calls to fix the problem and today, the 8th service call was supposed to happen and the guy never showed up. The company has lied to me telling me that it will just be one more service call each and every time.I want my refrigerator exchanged for a new one. They are refusing to do so until each service call is completed. I think they sold me a lemon based on the fact that nobody seems to be able to fix the issue. I cant seem to get anywhere with Whirlpool at this point and dont feel that I should have to keep a product that never worked from the start. Help! Is there some kind of lemon law on appliances?

I know that appliances are made to be disposable, but throwing away a $40 toaster after 18 months is easier to live with than throwing away a $350-$400 dishwasher. We bought a new dishwasher at Lowes on October 15, 2015. It is now May 11, 2016. The manufacturers warranty was for a year. It has been about a year and half since it was installed. Not very long for an appliance that one would assume would last at least 5-10 years. When we called Whirlpool to see about a repair visit, we were told that the trip to the house would cost $105, and the parts could go as high as $250-$300. So if you weigh the original price to the repair price, having it repaired is not rational, but neither is throwing away a dishwasher thats almost new. Its still clean inside. No soap residue or anything in the tub. In the past, by the time we were in the market for a new dishwasher, our old dishwasher looked like it had been through the war. It just breaks my heart to know that a company is so slipshod at making appliances that they wear out in less than two years. There doesnt seem to be any recourse but to dump a perfectly good, relatively new dishwasher in the landfill. We are leaving a very big footprint by doing this.

FRUSTRATION!!! It is unbelievable that even appliances have become DISPOSABLE! Where are the days of when our parents bought well made appliances that LASTED 20 years with NO problems??? There was satisfaction knowing that a purchase of an appliance was $$ well spent! These days it costs MORE to replace parts than IF you purchased a brand new machine! We purchased BRAND NEW Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer AND dryer in 2007. The washer has been repaired a total of 5 times and the dryer 3 times!!! IN A SPAN OF 10 YEARS! Are you serious?! With the $$ spent on warranties/ labor/ parts: WE could have purchased new appliances. What is WRONG with this picture? IT IS ALL about making money on REPLACING PARTS/WARRANTIES/LABOR!!! Forget the consumer that is spending THEIR hard earned money to buy the appliances initially. Short of going to a laundromat, the consumer needs to purchase a washer & dryer. So I guess it is a vicious cycle of REPAIRS/REPAIRS AND MORE REPAIRS!!!

Had them come out numerous times and last guy changed out entire motherboard to no avail. Freezer side freezes and then thaws. Now it is just a two sided refrigerator. Before Thanksgiving I was promised new refrigerator and none arrive after phone calls. No refrigerator for thanksgiving. None for Christmas. Finally today at 7:00 this evening January 17 2020 it arrives. I am suppose to be in bed. I have two terminal illnesses. I moved out boxes of stuff out of refrigerator. Installer came in and said I had to move stuff on the porch that they are not allowed to. I get all done, finally sit down and he comes in and says there’s a big ding in bottom of refrigerator. No idea when another refrigerator would come. Who is going to put all my furniture back? Who is going to put my food back in my refrigerator. I bought the entire Whirlpool package Made In America. I should have went cheaper and bought from China. Now there’s trouble with dishwasher and they have been out once already for that. I could worry about taking care of my health if I didn’t spend all my time dealing with whirlpool. Maybe they can bury me in the refrigerator and my daughter won’t have to buy a coffin. I make 1000 a month on disability and get 16 dollars in food stamps. I have thrown 1000s of dollars away after motherboard was fixed. I went and my friend helped and bought new groceries. One day took out a frozen burrito and as I was putting it in microwave I noticed it had mold all over it. Another food dump. Whirlpool pool answering phone says whirlpool cares. Well they don’t care about me.

I had the junky gas water heater for two years and cant keep the thing lit. Calling Whirlpool does no good. They give you the runaround; the store cant do anything. They know they have a faulty product and keep selling it. Some companies are only out for the money. If that wasnt the case, they would discontinue the junk. They will send you replacement parts but if you know nothing about them, you have to put out more money for someone to come and fix it. I would love to send them the bill! I would not recommend this brand of anything to anyone.

My review merely echoes the other 1-star reviews Ive read below, but Im including it anyway. We bought the Whirlpool Cabrio from Lowes in 2013. Two weeks ago, a mere five years after purchase and shortly after our warranty expired, it broke. It kept showing the UL code and took multiple cycles to wash the clothes. Unacceptable. We called the technician; he came out; told us it was the bearing that busted; and quoted us $800 to fix it (I noticed below another customer was quoted $400 for the same issue). We told the technician thanks but no thanks and purchased a $450 Samsung washer. Our family will never purchase any Whirlpool product again. From their customer service to the performance of their machines-- its all very much lacking.

I had an addition added to my home in 9/2007, which included a new bathroom. A whirlpool hot water tank was added. This week, I woke up to no hot water, so I called the whirlpool customer number regarding the warranty on the model FG1F4034T3NOV. T hey told me the serial number shows its out of warranty, although I may have only had it since 2007. They also said there was a screen that needed to be clean under the bottom of, it that if not clean, would make it stop working. Since homeowners where not cleaning it, they have made a replacement door part that would fix it, and do away with the problem, but I would have to pay $35 for it. I asked them, since the serial number shows that the part has not been replaced on this unit, why not just send it to me, and I pay to have it put on. The person said no, you will have to pay for it if I wanted the part to fix it . Although my builder did not give me the receipt for it, thats just not right. If a manufacturer knows they are having problems with their product, which require a part replacement, and they have produced one, they should be willing to give the part to everyone with the product that request it. On top of that, this model has the left hand threaded thermocouple, which no one around seems to carry. I am totally disappointed with Whirlpool, and right now would not consider buying, or have any more of their products installed into my home.

I paid about $3500 for this, alleged, top of the line fridge a little over 2 years ago. The freezer, bottom type, doesnt get cold enough to thoroughly freeze food. Called Sears, they said out of warranty, the same with whirlpool. But they can have a tech run a diagnostic check for $85. Here we go. They suck more money out of the consumer game, and try to baffle them with **, legal jargon. FYI for all. Dont buy Whirlpool from any store selling Whirlpool products, any Whirlpool products. Once the middle men get the picture, they will stop ordering or buying from Whirlpool.Whirlpool are a bunch of con artists selling crappy products with false integrity. They are the typical old school door to door salesman that sells a crappy product then is on the run to the next state. No receipt or order number. I bought the product two years ago but here is the Serial number K30416919 and the Model number WRF989SDAM00. What happened to fridges that lasted at least 10 years? An outdated computer costs more and lasts longer than their products.

My 15 year old front loader quit working and was going to cost more to repair than we thought was worth it. So, we went shopping at Home Depot and based on discussions with salespeople ended up with the Whirlpool cabrio toploader. What a mistake. I am so disgusted with this washer I dont even know where to start. If there was any way we could return it we would do so. The clothes come out wrinkled, twisted, absolutely covered in pet hair and detergent and fabric softener residue. Yes, Im using HE detergent, in the correct amounts. Yes, Ive read the manual front to back. Yes, Ive tried all the troubleshooting suggestions. No, they dont make a damn bit of difference.I would give anything to have my old front loader back. It was a great little machine that did a wonderful job of cleaning our laundry. Pet hair was washed off, I could lay things out to dry and they werent all wrinkly and did not require ironing. Just about everything that comes out of this cabrio machine that I lay to dry needs to be ironed before it can be worn. It is just a horrible, horrible machine and Whirlpool should be ashamed of themselves for foisting this off on unsuspecting consumers.

I spent what I consider to be a lot of money on the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer which I purchased in 2007. Within months, I was getting error messages on the washer, specifically an F51. Thankfully, it was covered by warranty. Whirlpool knew then and there that these things were lemons. The repairman told me he couldnt keep up with fixing that issue. I have since had to replace the motherboard on the washer at a cost of $359, and the idler pulley on the dryer at $221; not to mention the metal catch on the dryer broke. I ordered a plastic one on eBay. I will never buy another Whirlpool product as long as I live! They make junk!

I have a two-year-old top of the line Whirlpool Duet Steam washer. Cleaning performance is adequate at best, but my biggest complaint is about the visible mold buildup that collects on the water dispensing plate as well as on the detergent, bleach and softener dispenser and rubber lining of the washer opening. I have cleaned the removable detergent dispenser weekly since purchasing. The water dispensing plate has a continuous buildup of thick black mold that can only be removed with a tooth brush and bleach and only a small portion of those openings are reachable. I have cleaned the machine with Affresh as recommended and exactly as the manufacturer recommends. Nothing changes! I contacted Whirlpool and was told this was normal for all washers in which some moisture always remains and that I should continue to clean and leave the door and dispenser drawer open to allow the areas to air dry. So, I have done all of those things for the past year and nothing has changed! I received notification that a class action suit had been filed against Whirlpool for this mold issue but have not been contacted in any other way. Not only is this mold visibly disgusting but certainly is worrisome from a health perspective. When I contacted the company a second time, I was told there was nothing that could be done and it was in no way a design flaw on the part of Whirlpool.

A Whirlpool dishwasher was installed by Skyline, a modular home manufacturer, and we occupied the house on August 21, 2014. The appliance never worked and Whirlpool sent repairmen 9 times over 9 months to either repair or determine if it should be replaced. It washed the dishes exactly 4 times in that time. Complaining to Whirlpool only caused a supervisor to scream at my wife that we were the cause of the malfunction. Nearly every part was replaced & they still refused to exchange it for a replacement new one. The modular home manufacturer received the same treatment appealing for us.
