We purchased a Whirlpool Gas Water Heater (Model No. N40T61-343) from Lowes in the Summer of 2013. 2.5 years later, the water heater goes out as of 01/19/2016. Therefore, I contacted the telephone number on the side of the water heater in order to restart the water heater. We followed the instructions by pushing in the pilot button, as well the ignition button. To no avail, the water heater did not restart. I called customer service on Thursday (01/21/2016) to speak with a representative. She said that we needed another Thermopile and a Gas Valve replacement. So, who is going to put it on? It would cost as much as getting a whole new water heater. Therefore, we are going to Menards to purchase the Richmond Gas Water Heater. We had a Richmond once before; and it lasted from 1999 or 2000, until 2013.After reading all the reviews about this brand water heater (Whirlpool), no wonder people are complaining. Ladies and gentlemen, do yourselves a favor and not buy a Whirlpool Water Heater. The only thing that Whirlpool is good for is only their name. Their Water Heaters in particular are worthless pieces of junk. NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL GAS WATER HEATER AGAIN!!!

Efficient. I like the look and the controls. I trust the Whirlpool brand, but have purchased other brands. This is probably the best dishwasher I have owned. My only regret is that it is louder than expected.

Purchased a Cabrio large capacity washer. It NEVER seemed to get the clothes clean enough, and after the sensors and bearings went bad within three years (out of warranty of course) I gladly kicked it to the curb. I bought a Samsung that has been great. Id like to support USA made, but not when it is AWFUL.

I purchase newly Whirlpool washing machine but it was not working from the first day of my purchase. So many service Engineer came but nobody can solve the problem, so I suggest to all please don’t buy washing machine from Whirlpool. I am very disappointed from this company.

The smell from the washer has gotten so bad we have to keep the door closed to our laundry room, or the smell will permeate the whole front part of the house, as it is we have to keep the door to garage which is adjacent to laundry room open to air out laundry room. Our friends and guests, are aways telling us we have water leak or something mildewing, or rotting in our house. The washer works well, and I cant find any buildup. We frequently run it through clean washer cycle, it smells OK for a hour or two, and odor returns!

We bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator from Sears last summer --- and after experiencing some motor noise we thought this would be ok. We went away to Mexico for 4 months this past winter and this spring the noise seems to be much worse. It seems to have changed -- and we called Whirlpool and they would not help. They said we pay even though we bought this fridge less than a year ago. Consumers should be made aware that if your fridge is noisy you pay for any servicing - they only cover a malfunction. My fridge needs a professional to look at the cause of the loud motor noise.

I am a single mother of a 5 year old and I take care of my mother as well. I purchased a whirlpool because I believed them to be reliable, boy was I mistaken! I am in the military and while on an 8-month deployment I got a message from my mother that the washing machine had stopped working. Here is my mother who cannot drive - with laundry bags and a 5 year old in tow walking to the laundromat to wash, only to carry wet laundry back to the house to dry. Thanks a lot Whirlpool! My cousin in Michigan tried to help my mother with the company and a repairman as much as possible from over the phone. Here is what I got:The washer repairman came this morning. He did the diagnosis but I did not approve the replacement parts and repairs. First of all, he said that the motor control board was bad. To replace it with a new board would be $503 and a refurbished one would be $490.03. If the motor control board was replaced, it might fix the problem with the user interface. If not, the cost to replace that would be $302.62.Apparently there are 4 boards that could have problems. He also said there was a problem with the start button. Anyway, we ended up paying for the service call ($129), but I thought the cost for the replacement parts was too much to justify when we could get a new one for about the same cost. He recommended that we get a Service Contract when buying something new because of the cost to replace the parts.While doing some research online, unless you purchase an extended warranty or have experience in 2M; you will be researching new washers every 2-4 yrs. What happened to built to last? It seems to me all this technology/circuit boards/computers to make things work have degraded the appliance quality.Im sorry for the bad news but I just wanted you to have all the info. Let me know what you think. I know the washer is only a little over 2 years.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer on 11/07/10. I brought it home, hooked it up, turned it on and water came pouring out the bottom. I should have known better then, but I took it back and got another one, same model. I dont even have it 2 years and its locked up. I had a repairman here and was told it needed a new water pump ($200 plus). There are 3 adults in my home so its not like I use it hard. I am really disgusted. This is the 3rd washer I bought from Whirlpool in less than 10 years. I went on the Whirlpool site and voiced my disappointment and my problems with their washers. I was told they take pride in their products and I should have a nice day. Yeah, right, they dont have to drag clothes up and down the stairs and then to a laundromat when theyre in their 50s with a bad knee and back. Yes, I will have a nice day when I get that piece of junk out of my house. I will never buy anything made by Whirlpool again.

New Whirlpool Refrigerator makes roaring noise like a broken engine. Whirlpools 2 technicians listened and confirmed but said that as the refrigerator works they can do NOTHING about it. Whirlpool management would not respond to repeated requests. Dont even get near ANY Whirlpool products!!!

The ice builds up over two week periods and begins to leak onto the floor, requiring me to empty the freezer, chop out the ice and put everything back. The repair job is in the vicinity of $100. Check the net. This problem is endemic. Since this is a problem created during the manufacturing process, Whirlpool should be fixing this problem free of charge. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

Whirlpool Slide-In AquaClean Technology - My beautiful, modern oven is no longer. After 4 tries doing self-cleaning my oven was still dirty. I did have to wipe out the water (although I measured it) before I could take the scraper/sponge provided by Whirlpool to assist in the cleaning. Scraper bent - sponge disintegrated and I still have a dirty oven. Called service. My pleasant service tech informed me the water is only to reach 250 degrees! Really! My dinosaur of a Whirlpool cleaned fabulously! New technology has turned mine into an on your knees, scraping and broiling fool. Fool because I bought into the whole Aqualift Technology. We cannot use any kind of liner, etc. This slide-in may look great but the labor required to keep it that way is beyond this OCD person! So much for my efficient new kitchen. May the engineers who designed this technology be ashamed of this product. It is not even a self-steam cleaner!

17 month old Whirlpool duet washer door lock broke. ($300) repair! Had given my old (13 years) set to daughter when I moved. That set has never had a repair or problem! Why do they keep making things with more bells and whistles we dont need and so cheaply made? Frustrated, annoyed and becoming cynical in middle age.

Have two Whirlpool refrigerators. Both perform well. Love the glass shelves, which make it easy to see whats inside and to keep clean. The newest one has the water dispenser inside and not in the door. Would probably not even consider another brand.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 1.5 years ago and it has already died. Repairman need to replace the control board which had gone out. $450.00 to replace that piece, but could not guarantee that it would be the only problem. The motor or some other issue may have caused the board. This machine was purchased at Home Depot on sale and at $450.00 to repair would be approximately 70% of the original price. It will be cheaper to buy a new one rather than fix this one. We were not happy with this machine in the first place. It leaves the clothes stained with a white powder that never rinses off. The cycle time is very long, up to an hour to wash a load. The clothes are still very wet once the cycle is finished, which of course increases the drying time. I cannot recommend Whirlpool top loaders after my experience with this machine.

Five years ago, I decided to splurge on a really nice (expensive) over-the-range microwave during a complete kitchen remodel and had the Whirlpool Gold Velos Microwave GH7208XRS installed, thinking Whirlpool would be a reliable brand to replace our 18+ year-old (still working) Kenmore countertop model that we had used previously. About 4 months ago, after a couple of mysterious cases of the control panel going haywire (turning on by itself in a different modes), it started pouring smoke out the top and service was called and the magnetron and inverter were replaced to the tune of $482.Fine, things happen. Yesterday, while opening the door, the handle snapped off and (upon closer inspection) I noticed cracks around all sides of the door frame - see photos. After reading about similar complaints about Whirlpool microwaves on this forum, I really feel that this is a defect in materials and should be recalled or at least addressed by the company if they want to maintain their reputation. Right now, I am waiting on their authorized repair service to see what my recourse will be.

Worst appliance of any kind that I have ever used. Has only on/off button, in effect. Wastes water. There is no option to change anything once cycle has begun. No soaking. Occasionally, the machine simply decides to stop and drain itself so that you can start all over again!! No idea how long cycle is. Nearly done? No idea. No matter what temp or how much detergent or how much water, the clothes are not clean. The lid locks and so there is no way to know whats going on. I suspect there is very little water during rinse cycle. All of the whirlpool appliances are similarly horrible. Washer is the WORST. Shame on you Made in America.

Purchased side-by-side 3 weeks ago. There are 2 adults and 1 kid in my household and the ice maker in the unit does not put out enough ice to handle our small demand, though this was never an issue with the 14 year old Whirlpool that this one replaced! We are using ice trays to supplement what ice the ice maker puts out but the ice trays take up valuable freezer space. Their service reps have inspected it and tell me that it is performing per the specs and when I ask for what the remedy is, there is none... ie. too bad, so sad!! I am apparently on my own with a brand new refrigerator with an ice maker that wont perform up to minimum expectations!

Our Whirlpool Duet front loader washer developed a mildew smell and started making a horrible banging noise on the spin cycle. We had a service man come out and the concrete weight had broken in half. He said this was not uncommon. I just did a Google search and apparently this is a true factory defect. Luckily we had purchased an extended warranty. I always thought Whirlpool was a premium brand but after this experience I will never buy another washer from them. They should do a product recall.

I bought this washer (model WTW7800XW) on 12/23/2010. Never happy with its performance from the beginning. Within the first 18 months, the lid hinge completely rusted and broke. The repairman stated that the hinges and glass lid would need to be replaced at a cost of over $400. We paid $899 for the washer. Instead of paying that much, not knowing if it would only last another 18 months, we removed both hinges and removed the lid manually to use the washer. After complaining to Whirlpool about the problem, they thanked me for the info so they could use it for the future. The latest problem to arise is the light inside the washer. The mount for the light was made of steel and has completely rusted away, so the light is just hanging inside the washer. Whirlpool needs to step up and resolve the issue with an extended warranty for these machines.

I have both Whirlpool washer and dryer. These are my second set. Whirlpool is reliable & long running. I love this brand! My dryer is six years old and the washing machine is nine years old. Never a problem and they do about six loads a week.

WARNING: Do not get the warranty plan through Whirlpool if you have stackable washer and dryer, you will have to remove the dryer yourself before they come out to service your appliances. I was willing to pay extra to have them take it down, the contractor said I had to call the extended plan service, yet 6 telephone numbers later to include the complaints department to no avail... Whirlpool contracts out so get your own and you may save a few dollars!

Whirlpool cabrio wtw7800xwo - During the 12th month of the use of this washer, the lid broke. I called Whirlpool to schedule a repair on it. I got someone here to repair it, and it was 7 days over the 1 year warranty. I don’t think this is fair when they sent the repair guy out too late when I scheduled this right before the 1 year was up. I came about looking this up online, and I find I’m not the only one with a 1 year lid. My next washer will be a 1980s built to last. This was the worst $1,100 I ever spent. I had to choose 1 star. Wish it had a choice of - ★★★★★.

Our 27 cubic foot BLACK French Door refrigerator is freezing up again for the 4 or is it 5 time. We are now told they will give us a replacement and to go to the website and find what we want. The website lists DISCONTINUED fridges. Called their RUDE rep and found out only can get a Smaller, stainless steel ONLY refrigerator. So is that how they work, sell crappy refrigerators and then replace with a lesser refrigerator, which most likely will break down too. SHAME ON WHIRLPOOL. Or is it DEADPOOL. Your reputation is shot. We will NEVER purchase another piece of junk from you!!!

I purchased a Whirpool fridge five years ago. To date it has had 7 repairs. The latest round has lasted over five weeks and the expensive warranty I also bought is about to run out. The repair man is on his third repair and I havent had refrigeration for five weeks. In the meantime they wont replace the fridge, and it takes two weeks between scheduled visits by the authorized repair man.

I do like my Whirlpool refrigerator, but it started to not cool things anymore. I had to get it fixed. The professional I had come out to fix it said that these particular Whirlpool models didnt have a specific part they they needed. It also got built up with ice that needed to be broken down. Overall, I wouldnt buy this model again, but that doesnt mean that all Whirlpool refrigerators are bad. Just this particular model.

Very dependable. We loved all of our appliances in the past as well as in the present. It has been a go to for us especially with bad experiences with other brands like OG and GE. We have gotten a washer and a good dryer and have worked. No complaints whatsoever.

My Whirlpool Cabrio Washer is a bucket of junk. I bought the washer in about 2008. I was smart and bought the warranty for approximately 3 years. Since I bought it, I have had them replace 3 water pumps, the tub, the computer, and it still knocks and shakes. It also leaves small frayed holes in my beach towels. This machine should be recalled. It needed a warranty from day one. Washer cost $1,000 warranty every year $130.00 per year which covered the repairs at about $900.00 for repairs. I hate it. I just hate it. I can’t stand it anymore. I need a new washer, someone has got to listen.

We purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum W10405142B washer and dryer just over 3 years ago. We decided to go back to the top load as we were having so many issues with odor from our front load. We purchased the set at a Sears store in Timmins Ontario and we’re quite confident that we were getting an excellent product. From day 1 we have had issues with having to rewash our clothes. We have lint and white streaks on the clothes as if we were using powdered detergent and they are all tangled. We have always used HE liquid and at one point I switched to soap nuts to get rid of using chemicals. We have now changed to pods and still have issues. When the washer is spinning it is deafening. You can hear it outside for goodness sakes. It sounds like it is about to take off and fly.The cycles are ridiculously long. For a quick cycle the other day and a very small load it took 72 minutes... how is that quick? When the wash is done my clothes are all tangled up and are stretching things out of shape. I am careful what goes in my washer and how large my load is. I know not to wash sheets or towels when I am not home as they will eventually be unbalanced and have Sat all day in the washer only to have another hour of washing when I get home. We are currently doing some work in our home and pulled out the washer. The floor has a rust circle from God knows what. I will attach a picture. The lid not longer closes. I have to hold it down until it locks and it still pops up a wee bit.I do not understand why I am responsible for purchasing a new set when the product I bought should have lasted and not caused damage to my clothes or my flooring. How do we as consumers make the manufacturers responsible for things like this. If nothing else the appliances should be removed from my home by the Company and I should be reimbursed for damages and the cost of a new set. I will continue to look for my receipt as I keep everything and I am unsure what is meant by order #.

I purchased a Whirlpool gas water heater for one of my properties that developed an issue outside of the warranty period. My initial CS complaint is with Whirlpools IVR system, which was far less than a desirable experience. After tricking the system, a CS agent answered promptly but was not able to address my concerns. I asked to speak to a supervisor and received a return call from Chris within minutes. I found Chris to be patient and understanding of my issues. Chris promptly assisted me with my issues and offered an equitable resolution. Chris is whats right with American companies and domestic customer support.

I would like to extend my appreciation to Whirlpool for quickly responding to our requests. Within a matter of days, we were contacted by a Whirlpool corporate representative. She listened to our issue and was extremely understanding of our frustrations. The representative assured us that we were valued customers and offered to contact our local service provider and authorize the needed repairs to our refrigerator. This interaction has restored our faith in Whirlpool and its partner brands. The representative also provided guidance on future purchases in contacting Whirlpool to purchase its extended warranty.I would suggest using Whirlpools warranty program instead of a retailers program. Contact Whirlpool to purchase any extended warranties directly, instead of purchasing an extended plan at the time of purchase. Thank you to Whirlpool and to our extremely helpful representative. My 4-year old water heater has upper/lower sensor issues for the fourth time this year. The rep was supposed to send replacement parts to arrive today (day four with no hot water), but the wrong ones were shipped. A different rep called and offered to exchange the unit for a new one. The expense to me will be $350-$450 for the plumber to uninstall my unit, take it to Lowes and bring the new one back to install. The plumber suggested I take my $450 and just buy a new non-Whirlpool unit. He knew immediately that I had a Whirlpool hot water heater because its the most common repaired vendor. Whirlpool should be covering this expense for re-installation of their inferior product. Poor customer service. Day 4 with no hot water during the holidays with no solution in sight short of me purchasing a new hot water heater. Whirlpool finally got the right parts to me and I paid a plumber $190 to install. One week to the day later, my pilot light will not stay lit. No change in ventilation since it has been installed. I will say I have been dealing with their rep Chris on the phone who is extremely nice and I feel sorry for him. But we all have the exact same issue which is not being resolved.

My wife and I purchased our new home in November 2014. The house was a foreclosure and therefore owned by a title company who gutted the home and installed all new appliances. Less than a year of ownership, the ice maker on the side by side fridge broke after normal use. Not having proof of purchase, I appealed to Whirlpool given the nature of my situation. They did NOTHING but try and sell me a new service agreement they offer to have it fixed. They cared little about my brand loyalty, situation or circumstances - all they wanted was to make more money off of the consumer. What ever happened to companies being accountable for the products they produce? What ever happened to companies wanting to do the right thing in order to retain loyal customers and increase satisfied word of mouth? Stay clear of Whirlpool... Theyre only out for themselves.

Whirlpool Duet Washing Machine model WFW9150WW02 - This machine was purchased new in Sept. 2011 along with a brand new dryer. We started noticing a rumbling sound within the first year, but both machines did a fantastic job on the laundry. Then last week, the washing machine didnt spin out a load of laundry. We called the company and they scheduled a service visit through A&E Factory Service. The technician immediately diagnosed the problem as a bad bearing and said that he had seen the problem frequently with this model and put it down to a design defect. The bearing is housed in a stainless sheath protected by a rubber seal, but the seal lets water in, which rusts the bearing. The cost to repair it was over $700. He suggested I call WP and ask for a concession, whereby the company would at least pick up all or part of the cost of parts. The service representative summarily dismissed the request, saying the company had no obligation to stand behind the product as the machine was out of warranty. I said that this was unacceptable. She was pleasant, but kept asking questions and putting me on hold. Ultimately, she said the same thing. Whirlpool was once a dependable name, no more.

I bought Whirlpool water heater model #FG1H5040T3NOV about 5 years ago. Burner assembly was replaced two years ago and now, thermocouple was replaced yesterday.

What idiot designs a fridge that leaves water stains like this? And, the water falls onto the floor when refilling a water bottle plus there is no catch for the water. Argh! I really dont want to live with this for 20 years! Their resolution was to get a water softener; really?! It has a filter built in. They refused to replace the fridge.

My first time with Whirlpool (Always had GE) but at the suggestion of our builder, we went with Whirlpool and the stainless steel is horrendous. Nothing will clean it or make it look STAINLESS. I had owned another Whirlpool Washer before, which died. I purchased this one. It was noisy and unreliable. Whereas the previous one lasted for 10 years, this one stopped working in less than 6. I went out and replaced it with a GE instead.

Its just OK, the electric cook top heats up slowly, but once heated works OK. Oven is just average! Glass cooktop stains easily and shows some discoloration in places. The glass on the oven door is also discolored on the inside and not cleanable!

Yesterday morning I was in my bedroom when I heard a bang... I went in to the kitchen and looked around and couldnt see anything. Then I saw my cat sitting on the floor and looking up at the microwave... It was then I noticed that the glass on the front was all crazed and making a tinkling sound. Several pieces had fallen on the stove top underneath. I had to call the repair man who said he had never heard of this before. He had to remove the door. I could not use my stove with the danger of glass falling in to food. He had to order a new door and I had to spend $65 then. When he puts the door in, it will be another $200 or more.

I purchased a WhirlPool dishwasher in 2016. The primary motor had to be replaced in 2018. WP paid for the part; however, I had to cover the labor, which was expensive. In 2019 the drying element broke. Again, WP will replace the part but leave me to cover the labor. Ive decided to purchase a new dishwasher (none of the Whirlpool brands) with a 5 year warranty. This is not a new washer (Whirlpool Cabrio INTW6200VWO) and it works well BUT since we have owned it we have had rust at the bleach dispenser. I am seeing on the internet there are many complaints about this and there was a recall? But they have run out of replacement parts??? Never received any recall notice. We have online instructions on how to repair and have done this many times and the rust comes back. About a week ago we sanded, primed and enamel painted the area plus I have put NO BLEACH in the dispenser and the rust is coming back. I hate to replace a working machine but this rust can and will get on my clothing. Whirlpool was the absolutely best in the past but this one is a lemon.

Purchased on 7/9/18, was alerted of gas leak on 11/24/18, gas company had shut off gas to the unit. After finally getting through to their customer service in December, they scheduled an inspection with a local repair company they contract. It is now January 15, 2019 and I still have not had any resolve to this. Whirlpool is washing their hands of any responsibility, and doing nothing to help find a solution for a defective burned out piece in their oven, which the repair tech said he’s only seen in units over 10 years old. I do not feel confident or safe about this range. I bought this new from Best Buy, 4.5 months of having this in my home, after 1 oven use this happens.

Bought a Whirlpool fridge at Lowes sale when the previous Samsung suddenly died before the Thanksgiving Day. Under the circumstances at the time, it was largely a price driven decision (for a fridge of a certain size with some non-negotiable characteristics, though.) I bought this nightmare machine one year ago, and stop working. If I try to program a cycle it put itself lock so I can not use or program any cycle. I can not open the door and start a noise like it was draining without clothes at all. And when finally it ends, the machine is like dead, no works, no programs no nothing. I am sick of this appliance. It is almost new and just does not work as it should be. But the worst is customer service, OMG. They lie about everything. The technician came to see what was the problem and told me it was the card, so he could not do anything until the factory send the piece to the place where I live. Well this happened one month ago and I am still waiting for the service. My guarantee was still on time, but every day at customer service they have a excuse/lie that the piece is on my way and service will be completed. Well I am still waiting and nothing happens. I am desperate. No one cares about the customer. If I would have known or read the bad reviews about these washing machines I would have never bought it. I got it at Walmart. I regret deeply. I do not know where or what else to do. Nobody cares or listen. Shame on you Whirlpool.

It knotted my clothes up and twisted them to the point that clothes are so badly out of shape, hems are pulled out and some clothing torn. We no longer use the washer. Also, a very bad film all over our clothing. I have just tonight contacted the Whirlpool company as I have made numerous complaints to the business where I bought it to no avail. The day after buying and using once, the store sent a repairman out and he said use it on delicate. I have done that with the same results. I bought my washer in December of 2011. I am hoping Whirlpool contacts me. If not, we can contact the state attorney generals office, Consumer Affairs and our main TV station to make complaints. I do not have photos as I did not know I would need them. I am giving Whirlpool a chance to respond in hopes that a remedy is available. Maybe as simple as replacing the agitation device.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator in April. The motor ran constantly. The company replaced it for me but it was back ordered until July. The one delivered in July kept freezing the items in my refrigerator. I had two service people come out to replace parts in the next couple of months. The entire time having to throw out frozen food. Finally, they had another one delivered in November. This one continues to freeze food in the refrigerator. Mind you, I just got it and they want to start again with service. Seems others are having the same issues. My 4 month old gas oven is also not broiling. Customer service is awful. Every time I call the wait time is over an hour and then they don’t really help. I would not recommended Whirlpool to anyone.

I bought a Whirlpool fridge in June of 2014 and the plastic part of the stainless steel handle that attaches it to the fridge broke about a month or so later. After replacing the fridge because the company said they no longer made the part they gave me a new fridge and with that one the door would not close without leaving a gap of about 1/3rd of an inch open at the hinge side. They took that fridge back and sent me a new fridge. A week later I got in the mail a handle for the first fridge which I no longer had. About a week after that I noticed that the latest and third fridges handle had a crack in the same place. Whirlpool sent me 5 replacement parts and they were all defective with the same crack visible in the replacements. Finally I got a replacement handle that looked good and it broke today, Feb 6th 2016, in the same place as the first one. I should mention that each time the company replaced the fridge it was with a different and better model and each with a slightly different handle. There are other design flaws with the fridge. The door is in a corner and there are cabinets on the wall so the door can only open slightly more than 90 degrees which makes it impossible to open the crisper drawer enough to get a cabbage in it and if I want to clean the crisper drawer I must move and turn the fridge in the kitchen. Also if the crisper drawer is not closed completely it causes the guard rail on the bottom door shelf to fly off sending everything on the bottom shelf to fall to the floor. Fun when some are made of glass and filled with liquid. You would think I would have learned my lesson about this company but no! I went to Lowes and bought a Whirlpool dishwasher and when I saw that the automatic door would not open enough to dispense the soap, powder or packet I called a certified Whirlpool repairman who told me after receiving a duplicate that of course would not work either, that there was no solution to the problem and I went back to Lowes and bought a Samsung and my problems were solved. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER Whirlpool or as I now call it, Whirledpoo, product, EVER.

We purchased a stainless steel refrigerator thinking Whirlpool stood behind their product. Within days, the shelving on the door and meat bins and vegetable bins literally started chipping away and cracking. I have over a thousand dollars product held together by glue and duct tape so I can use my refrigerator. Neither Lowes or Whirlpool wanted to back their product. But it seemed they wanted to make a sale only on replacement parts... Now today I have learned my ice maker drum has chipped away... Thankful no one swallowed the plastic. We will never buy Whirlpool or recommend to our friends again.

Dishwasher leaking thru the diverter motor; apparently the gramet # WPW10195677 gets worn out and starts leaking. They have discontinued the part and can no longer be found. I call Whirlpool and all Parts supplier in my city. Obviously this is something that happens with time (5 yr old dishwasher) and is something very simple to change. But if we cant find the part....what are we supposed to do. Also my dishwasher rack has broken 2 years ago and is holding with zip straps! Horrible product!

I have enjoyed my stove for 16 yrs, it is very reliable and easy to use. The heating elements work well and heats up quickly. During this time I have not had any repair done. The areas of improvement that needs to be implemented is the inter glass that is installed at the front looking into the oven. In order to clean you have to take the front door off which is very difficult to put back together.

Purchased on Nov 2010 at Lowes. Washer machine sounds like an airplane on the wash and worst on the spin cycles. Bearings are gone!! Customer service was no help. Basically was told I was ** out of luck. Have service bulletin addressing this issue, yet they refused to help. $1300 learning experience about Whirlpool. Social media here we come. I have a rental home and my residence, I have purchased a fridge for BOTH places. Within 1.5 years, both of the fridges shelving cracked. Customer service will not do anything to remedy this. It is a known issue with his model of appliance. There are numerous complaints and they DO NOT stand behind heir product. NEVER BUY WHIRLPOOL.

It is noisy compressor wise all the time (Our kitchen and living room in the townhouse are one room). The problems started after the hurricane in 2016 killed our power for three days. I had to shut the refrigerator down to manually defrost the freezer section because the fan on the fan-coil was hitting a huge accumulation of ice. Then the weird blackouts started approx once per month where the panel light as well as the interior lights went on and off every minute with that dreadful BEEP. This went on for over 24 hrs and made living in the same room HELL. The beep and three clicks happen every minute and the cooling is none. Whirlpool service came ($80.00) just to look at it and will come back with the rest of the bill which probably will be astronomical. I feel cheated big time!! Minute and the cooling has worsened big time. Whirlpool service came ($ 80.00) just to look at it and stated it needs a new computer board as well as a new front panel on the left door.

Purchased a Whirlpool French Door Refrig. Model #WRF 954CIHZ200 in 11/21/2017 from Best Buy for $2300.00 on sale. Within the 1st year the Ice Maker broke & repairman said the ill design caused the wire to break. He had replaced numerous ones for the same reason. In the 2nd yr the freezer started frosting. Next thing the freezer quit. Next day refrig quit working. Called Whirlpool, said, So sorry. We will send you a $50.00 Visa gift card. That was to cover $200.00 of just bought groceries. Called repair guy & he diagnoses compressor was bad. (IN A LESS THAN 2 YR OLD REFRIG. THAT COST $2300.00????)Now, we are 28 day w/o refrig. Living with a Igloo cooler. Whirlpool says they have no stock left on compressors for our refrig. (probably because there are so many going bad in their refrigerators). They are trying to locate one somewhere in US so that takes 6 days then they have to ship to repair center then they have to schedule us for repair which will probably be another 7 days. Ghee, what a mess! Dont do it folks! Buy a LG or Samsung! If I had it to do again, thats what I would do! Whirlpool is Not what they use to be when I trusted them. Years ago. P.S. Cabrio Whirlpool Washer - Bought this washer from HHGregg in Orange Park, Florida. This washing machine is horrible!! It does not fill the tub with water enough to even cover the clothes. Some of the clothes are not even wet. They just sit in dirty water, no agitation. Then it refills with water and the rinse water is dirty, there is no agitation or movement during the wash cycle. My clothes are stained and dried food and dirt are still on the clothes. My white clothes are now gray. This is the worst machine. I have tried everything. I am now hand washing the clothes and trying to add water to at least cover the clothes but the sensor just drains the extra water out. This machine is less than a year old. There should be a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool. I am not the only one; everyone that has this machine says it is a nightmare.

I found this site while looking for a part number for the thermocouple. Lowes had one, but not for the FG model. I decided to call the number on here from Chris to see where I could buy the correct one with left-handed threads. I was told that they would sell me the conversion kit, but I couldnt get just the $8 thermocouple. Then $47.90 later and the conversion kit is on its way. Im not happy about it but at least I got 6 years out of my water heater before the thermocouple failed. The plus side is next time, I can get the $8 part from Lowes and not be without hot water for a week.

I purchased Duet washer 3 years ago, but it wasnt installed until a little over a year and a half ago. Machine started making loud noise during spin cycle, and eventually would not spin the water out of the machine. I contacted Whirlpool and was told there was a defect in that particular WP model and if it was confirmed by a provided tech, WP would provide the parts for the repair. The tech confirmed the problem, and I was told the repair would still cost over $450, even with the free parts. When I approached WP and asked them to fix the machine since it was a known defect, it was denied that there was a defect.

Whirlpool Model WDT920SADM0 Dishwasher. We built a new modular home so Abraham Builders ordered all my kitchen appliances in 2014. We did not move in and start using the appliances until June, 2016. Here is what happened during the first 6 months: 1) Would not dissolve dry soap or packets as there were still particles and plastic in the dispenser. 2) Dishes were not getting clean and were spotty. 3) Would not dry dishes, ever!!! 4) Parts would keep popping off as we would find them on the bottom or hanging down. 5) Final straw was this morning around 4 a.m. (12/4/16)... woke up to the smell of wire burning in the house and discovered it was coming from the dishwasher that we had put on delay wash that night and when we opened the door, smoke came out from inside!!Since it was past purchase warranty date, we had no warranty and the builder would not return any of my calls on any problems and the manufacturer of my house closed the factory. Needless to say, we now have to spend another $900+ for another dishwasher! Not happy at all about this Whirlpool model and would not recommend it.

Most of my appliances are Whirlpool - dishwasher, refrigerator, clothed dryer and the Cabrio washer. The washer before this one, I had it for over 10 years and replaced it because of rust (thats another problem with Whirlpool - rust). Now the Cabrio hasnt got all kinds of problems - UL, F1 and jumping. The serviceman asked me for $450 for repair; it included a set of springs for the drum, a new electronic board and a 30-day warranty on parts and labor. Im better off buying a new one (I cant afford at this moment). My wife is scared of the darn thing and refuse to use it so now I have the job of washing and standing guard to make sure the washer doesnt leave the garage. Thank you, Whirlpool - and my refrigerator works fine all rusted.

I have had my Cabrio set for two years only and the washer has a error code of F6 and E3... pretty much does not work properly and need to swap out main control board which is about 200-300 for the part. I’m very disappointed in this product for as much I have spent on it. My old school top loader lasted longer than this piece of junk! I believe the steam from the wash is going up into the control board and messing it all up! Water and electricity does not mix! Maybe they need to relook at their products. I want my money back!!!

My husband and I purchased a Whirlpool water heater from Lowes about three years ago. We have had trouble ever since! The pilot light will not stay lit. We have done everything imaginable to try to repair it. Every time I call Whirlpool, I get the same reply. They email me some instructions on how to repair this piece of crap. I dont understand how they can make a product that they do not stand behind. Whirlpool use to be a reputable company, not anymore! I will never buy another Whirlpool product ever! WTW4950XW2 - I purchased My whirlpool washing machine wtw4950xw2 from best buy in 03/30 2013 and it just stop working after 3 yrs. The manufacture warranty was only good for 1 year. I think companies does that on purpose because they know these new equipments are not going to last. I think before they use to have at least a 3 yr or better warranty on appliances. First it started making this loud sound when on the spin cycle, so I had a repair guy come out. He told me that the bearings needed replaced so (how does bearings goes out in 3 yrs). I asked how much will it be to replace parts/labor. The Parts cost $250 and the labor is $200. I might as well buy a new washing machine. I am so disgusted with this machine. My previous Whirlpool, which was not the new modernized, I had for at least 12 years and also I bought a whirlpool dryer. My Dryer stills works after 15 yrs. Im going to try to hold on to the dryer until the long haul. I wish I just would have gotten my old washing machine fixed. Now Im looking for a new washer and I wont be doing a whirlpool or anything with a push to start - just a plain old agitator, no sensing mechanism, just basic.

Ive always had a Whirlpool washing machine and it has been extremely dependable. I have not had any problems with my Whirlpool washer. A Whirlpool has came a long ways with their pricing. It was very affordable for somebody like me and I cant afford a lot but I could afford this. I was very pleased with my purchase and with the product. They havent let me down so far.

Whirlpool water heater FG1F5040T3NOV - I noticed that when I was taking a shower, my hot water wasnt working. I went downstairs and the pilot light on my water heater wasnt on. I tried to restart it. The pilot light wouldnt work or relight. I gave up and contacted a plumber. I dont feel I should have to pay for a plumber when its a product flaw!

I just purchased this washer Whirlpool Cabrio. Im experiencing the worst with it because it seems to take forever for it to wash. I came to look at reviews to see if other people were having problems like me. My issue is when I put it on quick wash it seems to say 41min then to 56min then goes down again and up again. I feel like its using more water as many times I hear it filling and washing. I didnt see anyone complain on that part but for the price its a big headache and upsetting because I spent that much thinking you get what you pay but I rather have the old washer I had than this. If anyone has had this issue please let me know and was it an ongoing thing. Not sure if you can comment back to reviews but shame on them to see all these unhappy people and not trying to make things better for them. I wish I read reviews before getting it. Yes it looks good on the outside but is crap.

My oven is less than 2 years old. The blue enamel has had cracks for over a year & was told its cosmetic & theres nothing that they can do about that. Now its starting to pop off. I found a few slivers in a vegetable dish! Now I cant even use the top oven because of this! It seems to only affect the bottom of the top oven. I feel that the temp may be getting too hot for the blue enamel which is another safety concern. I have contacted Whirlpool/KitchenAid to be told that if they send out a repair person he would just use a marker on chips. I was told they would give me an employee discount from $3000 to $1800 to replace but I would have to act right away for that price! Really? My oven is only 1 & a half old.When I started researching this problem I am having I found many complaints of people having the same problem! As a consumer I feel so mad & frustrated that they are not doing anything about this since its an ongoing complaint from so many dissatisfied consumers. I do believe it is a safety & health risk now that its showing up in the food that has been cooked in that oven. I would urge anyone thinking of buying a Whirlpool/KitchenAid cobalt blue enamel oven not to! They will not stand behind their product & you will have to replace at your own expense. Please contact me if a class action Lawsuit has been filed for I am one of those who spent close to 3,000.00 for a lemon and to get the runaround. I spent every penny I earned to buy a long lasting fridge (Whirlpool Gold Series) only to have a headache ever since I bought it. Only owning a year the freezer went out, yes I had to endure the loud noise, no ice. Then the thing would spoil my milk and ham making my stomach to be sick. The temp is 60•. The people that Whirlpool sends out are in cahoots. Told me my compressor is out and I just heard it kick on. We are currently using refrigerator we brought out of the travel trailer kitchen because this thing sucked out all my money.

My wife and I purchased a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer 5 years 1 month ago. We purchased the front load style because they were supposed to be better made than the older style. Its just my wife and I no kids. We never overload the washer or dryer. Now the drum bearings in the washer have gone out. I feel that a washer should last longer than 5 years and 1 month. I dont think I will be buying another Whirlpool.

Had a Kenmore - I was told it was made by Whirlpool. It did a much better job of preventing wrinkles on no-iron clothing. Also, I liked the dryer shelf for drying pillows, tennis shoes etc. I have been told there is a shelf for mine but has been backordered for months.

I came back from vacation and found a sheet of ice at the bottom of my freezer, just like that lady from SC and some vegetables frozen in the vegetable bin; not very happy. Have not contacted anyone yet, but I’m very unhappy about this situation. This refrigerator is less than 2 years old; I’m afraid of putting anything in this unit as it is very undependable.

We have had this microwave 3 years. The first thing we noticed was that baked potatoes were way overdone and nothing heated up correctly when using the sensor Not a big deal - just stopped using the sensor button. Now, we keep getting the open/close door message keeps coming up. I have done all the recommended fixes with no luck. Now we need to have a repairman come out to fix it. It seems when you are paying over $300.00 for a microwave, it should last longer. If I had known it would be such a poor quality, I would have bought a less expensive one and definitely a different brand. We do not use a microwave on a daily basis, so it certainly did not crap out from overuse. I would not recommend this to anyone. Save your money or you will be spending much more on repairs.

Immediately after purchasing an entire kitchen of Gold Series kitchen appliances including the refrigerator with bottom freezer in 2/2013 from Lowes we began having issues with the refrigerator. I am not an engineer and dont profess to be, but even I can figure out that the whole thing is a problem based on a design issue. The top drips water consistently and has from the first, which has been addressed numerous times. Ice maker replaced trying to fix the situation two times. The freezer guides were messed up and off from the beginning, and had to be ordered-waited for, then installed. In total a repair person has been here, an inconvenience on our part - 7 or 8 times and we still dont have a refrigerator that works properly!The last time we had someone look at it, there was a part that had to be ordered from, yes, Mexico and we had to wait a week or so and they told us they could rent us a loaner!!! Are you kidding me?? I should have kept the old 26 yr old fridge in my garage that is still working that was built in America! After buying $8000 in appliances and supposedly a top of the line brand name that in the past has shown integrity to their products... I pay my bill each month, because if I didnt someone would put it on my credit. But who puts it on Whirlpools credit? Who is going to hold them accountable and how many complaints must there be in order for someone in the government to step up and do something to a company that is taking tax dollars from our US and sending it to other countries but selling less quality products to those who do pay the taxes? I am ready to sign a petition! I should have gone with the other brand! Any other brand would have given me a better shot than this of having less of an issue! Apparently the planned obsolescence period for Whirlpool ovens and microwaves is 11 years. Last month, we had to get the oven repaired, and now the microwave has stopped heating. Coincidence??

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer - I have had all of the problems that all of the other 900 people have complained about! The washer does not wash anything properly. I have even experienced having something such as a bit of cereal stuck to a dishcloth and it was still on there after a full wash cycle. All of my whites are now grey and stained. All of the sheets end up with a huge dirty ring the size of the tub in the middle of them. Everything comes out in a tangled mess of knots! Very frustrating! Everything comes out smelly as if its been sitting in the washer for days. Nothing smells fresh and clean like it should. Energy wise, we are using two and three times the amount of energy as I am washing and drying things for two or three times over, which brings me to the dryer. I put one single load in and it takes two or three cycles to dry it properly. This is unacceptable and I cannot believe that we cannot get some satisfaction from someone in this regard! We bought our set from Sears and I feel that they obviously know of this problem and still continue to sell Whirlpool products! Weve all been taken for a ride and Whirlpool should be held accountable for ripping people off this way. Someone please help!

(Model WTW5640XW3) Whirlpool Cabrio worked Good for 11 months (just after warranty Expired). Replaced capacitor would not spin, hums loudly and smells like burning Plastic. Then about 2 months after that Lid locked, failed, replaced. 7 months then Actuator failed and now looks like the Main board give up. I dont know where The original parts are made but they are Cheap junk. New technology is crap for Washing machines, gears transmission and Solenoids last a lot longer plus they clean your clothes. And belts and solenoids.

My two-year old Whirlpool Duet Front Load washing machine is ripping my familys clothes. When I went online and saw all the other customers with the same issue, I contacted Whirlpool. Although the contact said that he knew I was frustrated, he could do nothing but send a repairman at a cost of $129 for me and then I would also have to pay for parts. I informed him that the online sites are saying that this is just a temporary fix. He pleaded ignorance and could offer me no other alternative. This is the last Whirlpool or Maytag product we will ever buy... and letting others know about the lack of cooperation.

Whirlpool Gas Water heater purchased from Lowes in 2012. Have replaced two thermal couples and three gas control valves. Will not stay lit! Problems began within six months of purchase. Third gas control valve quit functioning today and Im on my way to Home Depot to purchase a Rheem...Im done with Whirlpool!

Cabrio he washer wtw6400sw2 - I bought this washer about 6 years ago at the time we paid around $900. Now my bearings went bad and the repair person told me it would cost around $300 to $400 to replace the bearings and seal and shaft but that I should call Whirlpool and see if they could replace the part or give me some discount cause it is becoming an issue with all the Cabrio washers. So I called and spoke with a so called manager - as far as I know it could of been a cleaning person there. She told me that she could not do nothing about the issue. So if a lawyer would be nice to help me and the rest of the world that are having all these issues to file a suit against Whirlpool Corp.

The Whirlpool washer and dryer I bought new four years ago has been nothing but a giant on-going headache. No end to the error codes for washing machine. The dryer knobs broke off after two years. The washing machine works only when it feels like it, and important pieces that get a lot of wear are made of plastic. I will never buy Whirlpool again. Ever. Good luck to anyone that is brave enough to buy Whirlpool appliances. I have to say it again: Whirlpool is garbage, junk and unreliable.

I earlier filed a complaint about the Whirlpool Gold microwave arcing within a minute of cooking frozen green beans and causing burn holes in the food. We contacted Whirlpool’s customer service and were told that the machine was no longer under warranty, but we could have it serviced, repaired and have an additional year of warranty for $259. We took a pass on that. Further trial and error along with research helped us come to the realization that the arcing was caused by the high mineral content of the green beans. Whirlpool did not tell us this, but we found the information provided by others. We no longer cook the particular brand of green beans which seem to cause this event. The microwave is no longer arcing. You would think Whirlpool might be aware of this.

I bought the Whirlpool bottom mount freezer to find out there were problems with the drainage. I contacted whirlpool and they sent the parts to fix it but they did not send a repairman. I’m 80 years old and I’m not getting on the floor to fix this issue besides pulling it out to get behind it. The ice will buildup in the freezer so I have to empty the freezer and break up the ice. If I don’t break up the ice it will frost over. I will never buy another whirlpool refrigerator and I’ve been looking at replacing this one.

I bought front-loader WFW8540FW1 in November 2017 from Lowes. I keep having problems with the washer not turning on. I am waiting for the repairman to come. Had repair done in March, May, and now June. I have gotten new electronics for replacement from Whirlpool each time. Obviously something is defective. Is there a lemon law for washers? Hope so. Never buy Whirlpool Washer again!

Here is my TERRIBLE experience: After only eight months it started to fail intermittently. Within weeks, it failed completely. I pay someone to come out and look. We get a part from Whirlpool. Pay extra to express ship it. 2 days later, pay to have it installed. Still doesnt work. Express ship another part. 2 days later, pay again to have it installed. STILL doesnt work. Express ship ANOTHER part. 3 days later - it STILL DOESNT WORK!!!!! Then they closed - wait another day. Now they authorize a complete replacement. Wait till Monday to PAY to have this one uninstalled. Haul it upstairs, into my car, back to Lowes, so I can get a new one. Haul it home. Pay AGAIN to have it installed.I was without hot water for 10 days and paid about 4 time the cost of the heater in labor to get through this MESS. I talked with Customer Service to get some help with how terribly unfair this was. Warranty Only Covers parts - should have bought the extra warranty... Silly me - I thought Whirlpool was a reputable and reliable brand. Boy was I WRONG!!! DO NOT PAY EXTRA FOR THE NAME - NOT WORTH IT!!!!!! I also dont recommend paying extra for the Energy Efficient. Its added electronics that just give it more to go wrong. Plain and simple is the lesson for the day!!! And after the hours of frustration with their customer service - Ill NEVER buy another Whirlpool product as long as I live!!!

My stove hasnt been a problem from the start. I have had to buy two parts one for the oven, and the top. I feel my stove is dangerous. I would not buy a Whirlpool again. I would like to know who makes the stove that dont costs a arm and a leg. My stove is less than five-year old.

My front loading machine is moldy and smells terrible ALL THE TIME -- I hate this machine and will never ever buy one like this again. I spend more money on cleaner than I do on actual laundry soap.

Long story short is that my dishwasher was 7 months old and two parts went out on it. 4 months (and almost 3 hours total on the phone) later it still does not work. Whirlpool only has one repair person in our area and that person is a small business owner who works alone and is now in his 2nd week of vacation leaving no one else in his shop to do repair while he is out. I do not know if my part is ordered nor do I have a repair date! Never will I ever again purchase a $900.00 dishwasher or any appliance from Whirlpool!

Whirlpool Cabrio. A little noisy, 2 or 3 years, do exactly what the manufacturer says they will do. Start them up, run them, go get the finished product... The previous set, same brand lasted us 15 years and then went on to help someone else. Still have the same dishwasher, Whirlpool, 11 years, no repairs, no breakdowns. Bought refrigerator, and micro-wave also, several years back. No problems, no service calls, no stops.

Off balance, wont wash correctly. Familiar stories online. Wasted money on a washer that is not very old. Wont buy another one ever again.

We purchased an over-the-range microwave in 2005 Model No. MH1141XMQ-1 Serial No. TRS1112979. It has worked fine however, within a year, the grill cracked. It was not covered so we paid for a new one. A few months ago, I noticed a crack near the top of the door by the handle and then a couple of weeks ago, a huge chunk broke off the bottom of the door.

We bought a new Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer and dryer in July of 2014. We were continually finding wet areas in our clothes after they were supposed to be dry. We finally called Lowes where we purchased the set. We had bought Whirlpool appliances about 10 years ago and were pleased with the product as we never had any problems. Lowes sent a service technician on September 12th who checked out the dryer and told us there was nothing wrong with the dryer, but the vent was unsatisfactory (he was from A&E Appliance Repair). He said there was nothing he could do and charged us around $148 for the 14 minutes he was here. We checked out the vent and found it to be working satisfactorily, but we continued finding wet areas on the clothes that were supposed to be dry. We continued to call Lowes and finally spoke to Amy at their Headquarters Customer Care Dept. with no positive results. We then called Whirlpool, and they sent someone who replaced the steam dryer valve which he said was leaking in November (it took another month to get this part). It is now January of 2015, and we are still experiencing wet spots on our clothes even worse than before!

We have had this washer for a year and the longest it has run before breaking down is 3 weeks. Since it takes longer than that to get a repairman out to look at it and another 2 to 4 weeks to get parts, it has run less than half of the time we have owned it. This thing is a hunk of junk. Dont ever consider purchasing one of these lemons.

I placed a service call for a high pitch sound that emanates from our new Whirlpool refrigerator MD#WRF990SALM00. It is hardly perceptible although hurts my wife and Is ears. The technician was courteous and efficient although said that the sound was typical of this model. He did find another issue with condensation forming at the top and returned with the repair part in a timely manner. I placed another call to Whirlpool whom suggested that I order a different authorized service company to investigate although if the results of the call was that it is a typical sound of this model that there would be a service call charge. I will most likely order this service call in the future although I will wait to see if there are any similar issues that arise. The machine purchased in 2011, 3 years old, will cost as much to repair as to buy a new one. I got exactly no satisfaction from Whirlpool. They said there is no recall so they wouldnt assist. There are only 2 people in my house, so how could the washer be so junky. What would a large family do? I have spent $140 and wont spend another dime on a Whirlpool appliance.

The stove is only 5 years old. The oven would not ignite. The gas was getting through, but theres no flame. Sears repaired it and put a complete flame and ignitor piece at a cost for a part of $132.00. I feel the stove is too new to have to replace anything. I am retired, so I do not use the oven often. I have only cleaned the oven one time in five years. It is very clean. I picked this stove out and paid $900.00, because I liked the style and everything about it. I feel you should look into this, and I should not have to pay for repairs in such a short time of ownership. The repair person said this stove already had an upgrade in it. Please respond. Does the whole heating element need replacing or just the ignitor?

Pros: The refrigerator is large and roomy, easily adjustable glass shelving, and easy temperature controls for the refrigerator temperature and freezer temperature. Cons: the refrigerator is bulky and limits space in a small kitchen. The lower freezer door does not seal very well and requires frequent tweaking and adjusting around the door seal. Also, the freezer handle becomes loose easily and requires tightening fairly often -- which is a pain to get on the floor on your back (and a flashlight plus a special wrench) to tighten the handle.

My Whirlpool side by side refrigerator which is not 7 years old has had more repairs than you can imagine. After paying over $1,500.00, I have had a repair service come out at least 5 times. Today, they say I need a new compressor at the tune of $850.00. This combined with my other repairs would add up to around $1,300.00. I am certainly not going to invest any more money in this refrigerator. I wouldnt recommend a Whirlpool Gold for anything. Dont know which brand I am going to purchase now as they certainly dont make anything like they use to. Totally disillusioned!!!

I have had my refrigerator for a few years now. When I first purchased it, it was because of the brand and the looks. As far as performance it runs just as good as any other less expensive ones.

I purchased a Whirlpool Flame Lock gas water heater with a 12 year warranty from Lowes in November 2011. It lasted almost 6 years. Called Whirlpool Support and no one in my area is a certified repair facility. Closest one is 45 miles away, and he wont drive up to check out my water heater because Im too far away. Called someone in town. He came out, looked at it for 2 minutes, and said he never saw a water heater like this, but Sears may carry parts. Charged me $50 for service call. Sears couldnt find the model number in their parts catalogs. I dont have a manometer (What is it?) so I cant do diagnostic tests on it myself. Cant find out anything about them online except complaints from other steamed customers about this crappy product. Whirlpool Support wouldnt do anything else for me except say they were sorry I got stuck with a bad product of theirs. It was made for Whirlpool by US Craftmaster Water Heaters Co.

Our less than 3 year old Whirlpool Gold Series 3-door refrigerator (WRF989SDAM00) went up 2 days before Christmas (12/22/17). Service guy looked at it and explained that the compressor was going. We lost food in the freezer since that was the first to lose cooling. We were told the parts alone would be over $600 not including labor, which could be just as much -- the actual repair ticket states a blockage in the cooling lines, needs Sealed System Repair.We understood that trying to repair a Sealed system could create more problems/repairs down the road. In Sep. we had ice build up on the inside of fridge under ice unit, part was a recall under warranty and was replaced, then 2 weeks later they needed to replace an additional part (adapter kit & user interface). It was also making a really loud noise on and off. These parts didnt help completely with the load noise. Ice stated building up again by Thanksgiving but went away before I could call again for service. Dont feel that the replacement parts really took care of that problem. Then the compressor went up.This is a Lemon of a fridge. A real waste of money. So frustrated. We did not purchase an extended warranty so it is basically tough luck for us. We ended up having to shop and then purchase a new fridge (Not Whirlpool and never Whirlpool again) in a few hours and spend money that we did not have budgeted for a big purchase a few days before Christmas. Oh, and there is one more thing, I never realized that a Stainless Steel fridge could RUST, well this one has numerous rust spots on the front door! Junk. I do have images of the rust as well as sound of the noise. I am in if a class action suit is filed!
