Our Whirlpool Cabrio Washer is barely over one year old, and its getting increasingly louder (I cant hear the TV in the other room). I researched this issue and found this is a common problem with the upper and lower bearings. Check it out on YouTube; its easy to find. Whirlpool should buy these back! Is anyone aware of a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool regarding these pieces of junk?

Today I had the unfortunate experience to have to deal with Whirlpool customer service and claims. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT again! My refrigerator, that was purchased in 2013, has a door misalignment problem. It is a known problem with Whirlpool (service pointer W107317828). My refrigerator serial number and model number are affected. Because I am outside the one year warranty, Whirlpool refuses to provide service that is required to fix this known issue with my model/serial number. After having to talk to four supervisors the only resolution that was given was that they would cover the cost of the 7/16 hex nut ($4.33). Dont get me wrong I do appreciate the offer. The two supervisors that were below her assured me that no one can do anything to assist me further. The attitude of the second and third supervisor was pathetic. After over a hour on the phone I was so disappointed that I could not take it further. The cost that we are talking about that I am asking them to pay is $154.28. I am very disappointed. They say they stand by their product. To me standing by your product means that you will fix or replace any known issue. $154.28. I hope it is worth it to you Whirlpool. You lost a long time customer.

This Maytag dishwasher is awful. The parent company is Whirlpool and their customer service is as bad as their products. I bought this dishwasher and less than a week later the pump isnt working and stagnant water is sitting in the machine. It took Whirlpool 3 weeks to replace the machine and they sent over another defective machine. This time it lasted less than 2 days. The Whirlpool customer reps are rude and vindictive and antagonize the customer with their lack of service. Called corporate office with no help from Cust. Service and was told to leave a message with the operator and await a callback. With this fiasco I wouldnt buy another Whirlpool or Maytag product again. BTW. Im still awaiting my callback from the corporate office... Im not holding my breath. I called the company that I bought the dishwasher from to see if they can help me unload this machine and get a different brand...

I have a one year old Whirlpool refrigerator which was fine for 6 months. Since then it has been a nightmare. If Lowe’s had not intervened on my behalf, I never would have gotten service. Have had at least 6 service calls, 2 new ice makers and various other parts. It should be bright yellow.

We purchased a mobile home in 2008 that had all Whirlpool appliances. The microwave quit working 2 times before the warranty was expired. They paid to have it fixed. After the warranty expired it quit working again when it was about 3 years old. I called the repairman and he said it might be the most expensive part in it, so it would probably be cheaper to buy another one. I had to buy the same model because it was a built in microwave and I couldnt find another one to fit. It quit working about 2 months before it was 2 years old. I called the company and they were polite but said they couldnt do anything since it was out of warranty. I have been through two of these same models in 5 years. It ought to be against the law to sell such junk.

In January 2011, we bought several appliances and a refrigerator was one of them. The model number is G15VAXVQ01 which is a side by side, French Door Ref with water and ice on outside. We have had problems with the very cheap plastic drawers that are at the bottom of the refrigerator to hold vegetables and meat. We have to be extremely careful so they will not break when opening the drawers. As of late, the fruit and vegetables have been freezing. I went to change the temperature on the outside gauge and dropped the control to 33 degrees and it stuck there. I tried to unplug the refrigerator to reboot the system, to no avail. The temperature is stuck at 33 degrees which will freeze most of our food in a few hours. The freezer side temperature gauge does work.We also have problems with the ice/water machine. I pushed the water button a week ago and from then on, I couldnt get the ice to come on. I did unplug the refrigerator to reboot and then I was able to switch over to the ice, but I could not get back to the water side. Also, there is no crusher on this machine so the ice comes out in chunks. If we had to do over again, we would not buy a Whirlpool as it appears that they are not interested anymore in quality products and consider cheap junk something to be desired. Not by us! We will get this albatross fixed and see about getting rid of it. It is a buyer beware market so I suggest others beware of Whirlpool products.

I just bought a new home, and it came with what was described as top of the line Whirlpool appliances. The Cabrio toploading washer worked for two loads then just stopped. After arguing with Customer Service for a while (They insisted this must be an installation error.), I talked with the builders. They gave me a different customer service number. My second call got me a repair appointment, during which the repairman discovered that the pump was in fact dead. Because this is a new model, they didnt have a replacement on hand. So, I will have to wait an additional week and a half before the part is installed. This is a product that retails for around $1000, and it lasted less than one day. My last washer cost $400 and was still running fine when I sold it after 10 years. I can already see the handwriting on the wall. After my warranty is up, I will have to replace this hunk of junk with something that has some reliability.

We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine around January 2006, and from the start weve had nothing but problems with this appliance. Within the first year, water was leaking under the washer which was coming from a crack in the plastic housing of the water pump. I replaced the pump myself to save on labor. No big deal. The very next year, I started getting the F51 code and there was no way for me to get around calling a service company to have it repaired. $350 and one circuit board later, it was repaired. It remained working without fail until recently when it began giving the same F51 code. Let me guess, another $350 for better repair? I have to assume that the new circuit board that was installed wasnt any better than the original one that was replaced. I wouldnt put another $1 into this hunk of junk and Whirlpool should be ashamed to have this product on the market. I will never buy another Whirlpool product.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer 2 years ago and it is by far the worst washer I have ever owned. Its a water saving device with extremely long cycles. The clothes dont get wet enough, dont come out clean and they do not smell fresh. I have to put them through 3 rinse cycles and often times have to re-wash my clothing. The cycles are very long, using more electricity, and it takes me 3 times as long to get my weekly laundry done. My clothing comes out more wrinkled and twisted causing longer time ironing. My old agitator style washer did a superior job compared to this piece of junk. I dont like the automatic locking lid, nor do I like the machine choosing the spin cycle for me. There isnt even a soak cycle. If I want to soak my things I have to do it in the sink and then drag them to the washer to rinse and spin them.I spend a fortune on laundry additives in order to get my clothing clean and then they arent as clean as with my old washer. I now dread doing laundry and every time I look at the washer I feel like taking it to the dump! There isnt anything I like about this machine and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. It is a piece of crap. This is 2016 and they havent learned how to make a good working washing machine. When I move, I will be celebrating leaving it here! I will never, ever buy a product made by them again.

Our water heater pilot light has started to randomly shut off leaving us with cold water to shower in on numerous occasions. We hired a local appliance company that we are familiar with to come out and look at it. The tech thought that replacing a part would fix it. It didnt (which I will take up with them). After doing what Whirlpool asked us to do it still is not working. I called them back to warranty the tank and the rep keeps repeating it is a limited warranty so basically I have to pay the service call and labor charges to look at, repair or replace which is going to cost nearly as much as it will to just buy a new one.

I purchased my Whirlpool Gold series french door refrigerator 3 years ago. I bought Whirlpool because it being an American company and a brand I thought I would be pleased with. Wrong! I have had nothing but problems with this refrigerator. Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty! Just a year old, my ice maker stopped working. Then, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Circuit boards were replaced, fan motors, etc. over $1500.00 in parts and labor and the entire summer to have it fixed. This past August, ice maker stopped working again. Then, stopped cooling. I am now at week 6 without a functioning refrigerator. While I am thankful I have an extended warranty, through the store that I purchased this refrigerator, I am not thrilled with the amount of time that has passed between each visit and the fact that it is the exact same parts that are once again being replaced. This refrigerator is a LEMON. Do not buy this brand.

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7340XW washer is a piece of junk! I have had issues since the day I bought it and havent even had some of the failed parts that other people are talking about. It does not save water. I went from 5000 gal to 13000 gal in one month! It doesnt wash clothes. Everything comes out with the same spots they went in with and then some. Light colors come out with what looks like grease spots and whites come out with black spots. I have had it five months and have used six of the monthly cleaning tabs. Clothes get tangled and torn because of the speed of the spin cycle even on delicate. This unit needs to be recalled and redesigned or customers should be offered a different washer of their choice within the price range of this unit.

This product is just DISAPPOINTING. The gas knobs got stuck TWICE IN 13 months only! The range is NEW! The first time 3 out of the 4 knobs broke, this time only one. It would not turn off, so we are forced to climb on the counter and turn the gas off every time we are finished cooking and turn it on again. The company wont be able to send us anybody till next week, which will force us to go on like this for NINE days plus, of course, the time it will take to order the parts needed. There is not even a back up emergency service, which should be in place since we are dealing with GAS! I have heard complaints about this product in this area: in my opinion the range should be recalled. Of course, the representatives one talks to are all trained to keep calm and reply the usual things: Oh, I am sorry etc. but the bottom line is that neither the product nor the customer service are good (the first customer service person was not very friendly either). I highly recommend that you AVOID this range if you are considering buying a gas one with double oven.

We purchased Whirlpool sports model on 2/1/2011. We faced a problem with the motor in a month’s time. The service man told that there are fluctuations in the power so it went wrong. They replaced it after 15-20 days’ time. We also complained that it’s making noise and then he told that we should keep it on the stand. We did so, even then, it’s still noisy. Now about 3 weeks back, suddenly it stopped working during the wash. I never overloaded the washing machine. We complained to the dealer. The mechanic came and told that we had to replace some parts and he will get in a couple of days, but he never turned up. When we contacted the dealer, he said that the parts were unavailable and he will send them in a couple of days. I am fed up of that answer. We could have purchased IFB instead of this.

Our Whirlpool gas hot water heater was purchased and installed (through Lowes) in April 2008. In February 2009, the thermostat failed. Because the failure happened less than a year after purchase, Whirlpool replaced the part and paid for labor. The hot water heater failed again three weeks ago, and we contacted Whirlpool. We were once again provided with another thermostat, and were charged $135.00 by a plumber to install it (even though the customer service rep stated that there were known issues with this tank model). The tank is still not working properly. We (with our tenants) have tried troubleshooting according to their instructions, to no avail. It has been three weeks now, and no resolution. The heater has a six-year warranty. Not sure what this means if the product is defective to begin with. We pay to attempt to repair it?We will not be spending any more money on labor to install parts that may or may not work and have demanded that Whirlpool replace the heater. Whirlpool has refused to pay for any labor costs and told us that we must take the heater back to Lowes. So I suppose that means we have to pay to have a 3 1/2 year old heater removed from the gas and water lines, transported to Lowes, and a new one installed. What a deal.Stay away from Whirlpool.

I had my Whirlpool Gold refrigerator for two years. I observed water puddling out of the bottom of the freezer about every three days. I called Whirlpool to find out if there was a recall on my problem. There was none although refrigerator repair companies said there should be as Whirlpool has a defective part. That part is the drain for the freezer as it clogs up and does not allow water to drain and then refreezes. When the freezer automatically defrosts, some ice melts and as a result the water comes out of the bottom and puddles on the floor in front of the refrigerator. I recommend that people do not buy Whirlpool refrigerators unless you are willing to pay over $200 to replace the end of the drain line in about two years.

Purchased double range ovens. Enamel is flaking off within 2 years. Whirlpool denies defect. They wont replace it. Any other folks with similar problems? What can I do to have it replaced? I remember the old ovens and how the enamel just stayed and stayed and stayed. Never a rust or flaking issue in those old time models. Any expertise on how the enameling process may be compromised in the newer manufacturing process (cutting corners or costs). Any options for a class action here if a commonly experienced occurrence? If similar experience drops comments/review below as a one liner - just state enamel defect. That way can figure out the number of folks with issues. Id like to take action if given the opportunity, and more so if this is a common occurrence. Lawyers are costly for one-off complaints, but there is power in numbers (think United Airlines).

I have a double door bottom freezer refrigerator manufactured by whirlpool. It is less than 2 years old and is an absolute piece of garbage! In less than a year the noise started, then the freezer became a refrigerator and my frozen stuff melted. I had a local technician come in and he fixed it but he indicated that the fix would not likely correct the problem. Sure enough, about 6 months later the same problem started all over again. Nowadays one is never sure where a product is manufactured. However, if Whirlpool had their products made by chimpanzees in the jungle they would be better than the pieces of trash they are now selling!

We purchased the unit in March, by April it wasnt cooling. In June it shut down. In July after 8 tech appointments and repairs. Whirlpool finally said they would refund my purchase and I should see the money in about three weeks. That would be about a week longer than the refrigerator worked. I dont have the money to just get another one so I guess the family will be without a refrigerator for another month. That means shopping every day for perishable for a family of 10. I would not recommend another Whirlpool product. This is no joke, every time I called them one of the first things asked was Did you get the extended warranty? Why would they ask, sounds as if they dont trust their own product either. This unit was purchase online through Sears.com. Purchase price was $2299.99. Order placed on March 4, 2017.

We purchased the Cabrio washer and dryer set 2 years ago (7/22/15) from Lowes and have HATED them since day one. The first wash in the washing machine left clothes dirtier than when they went in. Our clothes have never gotten truly clean. The washer has a HUGE tub which is what I liked about it so I can wash my King sized comforters. What a joke that turned out to be. The comforters only get half wet even on the deep water setting. The machine even left dark stains on my light colored comforter and ruined it. Fast forward to 2 years later and the washing machine stops spinning and fills with water clear up to the top of the tub and wont drain. I had to put the machine on the rinse and spin option to get it to drain. Tried a different setting and it worked for a few months but started doing the same thing. The washer seems to be unbalanced no matter what size load I do. I am thoroughly disgusted with this machine and wish I would have never purchased from Whirlpool. The dryer has always worked fine until recently (2 years after purchase). It quit drying the clothes and leaves everything twisted up and wrinkled, even if I take them out of the washer and shake them out before I put them in the dryer. Doesnt matter what setting I put it on, the result is the same. So now it seems as though BOTH of my machines only lasted 2 years. Im not going to bother fixing them, these will be used as target practice. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

We bought a new Whirlpool Dishwasher. Installed it, wife used it for two loads. The third time she tried using it the door sprung and it no longer latches. After two weeks of calling Whirlpool, we finally had someone come out to fix it. After the repairman took a hammer to the frame he stated that it had been dropped. He wobbled the dishwasher back and forth with his hand. He said the frame will never be correctable and we will always have problems. After another week we got a hold of Whirlpool and were told the repairman has ordered parts to repair the dishwasher. Whirlpool is hoping it will hang together until the warranty expires. If the dishwasher were fixable that would be fine. However, when the repairman who has years of experience in his job tells me it will never be right and will always be a problem, I believe him.

This piece of junk just broke down not even one year after the purchase. Every singe Whirlpool washing machine has broken one way or another. This one will set the wash time for 57 minutes, and exactly 24 minutes left in the cycler, you hear this big crash and then everything stops. Another dumb thing about this piece of crap is that when the problem happens, the POS keeps the lid locked so that you cant tell what the problem is. What morons would put a lock on the lid? Its not like someones going to take a jacuzzi bath!Restarted the POS again, and exactly 24 minutes left on the wash cycle, there was another crash. Both times, exactly 24 minutes. NEVER BUY FROM WHIRLPOOL!

I bought my topload washer 2 years ago along with a dryer. The past month, the washer started sounding like an airplane, ready to take off, whenever the spin cycle was on. Then, it started to not start at all on certain cycles or would start to pump water in and then stop suddenly. I had a repair man in today, and it was not good news. He told me that he sees this a lot, especially with the Whirlpool washers and it is costly. The bearings are shot and will cost close to $500 for parts (alone), not costing the price to have it repaired. So now, I have called Whirlpool. The people there are very friendly and sympathetic. But even though I went as high as the supervisor (the highest authority I could speak to), he told me my washer is not on the recall list! I asked what it took to get it on one. Basically, my complaint was filed and end of story. Well, not quite. The supervisor was kind enough to give me the address for the Head Office for Whirlpool Canada. So people, start writing into this address and bombard them with your frustration: Whirlpool Executive Office, 200-6750 Century Avenue, Mississippi, Ontario L5N 0B7. If you have spoken to Whirlpool, ask for your reference number pertaining to your case and include it in your letter along with your phone number. In the meantime, I will be writing a lengthy letter; and I also went out today and bought another washer! Yes, it was not a Whirlpool, and I will never have another Whirlpool appliance in my home. And I will steer anyone away from this brand name. Good luck to all and start writing!

This washing machine is terrible. It barely cleans my clothes and frequently gets off balance. I am now on my second repair call in less than 3 years. (I bought the unit in the summer of 2013. It is now the winter of 2016.) The last repair guy tried to blame me, suggesting that I was filling it too much and with heavy materials. Last night, I washed 5 or 6 doggie towels. Not even large, bath sized towels. And the whole thing just stopped. It wont spin and wont unlock. What a piece of crap.

The worst washing machine ever. First off you cannot turn the water on to let it fill and add clothes as its filling. Secondly the Normal setting will not allow you to spin on low, your choice is high or no spin. High tangles your pants, slacks, shirts, etc. No spin leaves them soaking wet. Also its a water safer but never, never, never covers the clothes in water, and sometimes they dont come out smelling so clean. I dont save water if I have to rewash two or three times. Absolutely hate this washing machine. When I get enough money I am going back to the old agitator model and not any Whirlpool either. Oh and the other thing, you cant just throw you clothes in the washer, you must arrange then to the outside of the center itty bitty agitator. Hate it.

2 years ago, I bought my fridge from Home Depot and the delivery people did not leave a manual. I call to see if they could provide me one because I don’t know how to operate some parts of it. They told me they don’t send manuals anymore. She referred me to a website to download it from an online site. I told her I don’t have a computer. It would be easier if they can send me something in writing and this lady told me that they don’t. She asked- “and you come to us after two years? What have you been doing in the meantime? “And from then on she was very rude and she transferred me to another lady that was worse! I do not need this! And the fridge is very noisy. I’ll never buy Whirlpool again.

In September 2011, we purchased a Cabrio Washer and Dryer. Both appliances are extremely inferior. My first complaint to Whirlpool was in reference to the dryer. It kept overheating to the point that you couldnt even touch the clothes. In doing research I found this was a common problem and in some cases, even caused fires. After finding this out and contacting Whirlpool to complain and see if there were any recalls, they indicated they knew nothing about the problem and recalls would have to come from their legal department. I asked to speak with someone in that department and was told that was not possible. We threw the machine away and purchased a new no frills dryer. Now the washer has totally died. It would make noises, lockup, not spin, not clean, etc. Basically all the complaints other consumers have listed. It is now on the curb and I will again have a purchase a new washer. The Whirlpool refrigerator I bought at the same time is a whole other story. Please do not buy Whirlpool. When contacted they show no empathy or concern about the inferiority of their products. There are only the 2 of us now and we do laundry one time a week. It amazes me how much money I am out between the initial purchases, repairs, and replacements. My daughter has also had the bad luck of purchasing Whirlpool appliances and is now experiencing the same problems. Get the word out to all of your friends to NEVER purchase Whirlpool. They are apparently only concerned with their profits and not making good products or caring about their consumers problems. I made a very expensive mistake and will never purchase their products again. I have made them aware that I would be placing my review on your website along with the other 1,690 complaints. I have all my documentation re purchases, repairs, replacements and emails sent to Whirlpool. Unfortunately I cannot document all the calls made to this company. Bottom line, Im very disappointed in the products and the lack of concern. Please do not purchase.

After spending thousands of dollars for an independent investigation to be conducted on the stove, it was determined that the control panel on the console shorted out, causing the fire. Since then, I havent had any response back from Whirlpool. I am in the process of meeting the required criteria for filing a claim, but have some questions, and everyone seems to be ignoring me. After reading many of the 1,500 +/- complaints about this inferior product, I guess I should consider myself lucky. Ours didnt fail until this past Saturday, March 22, 2014. We purchased this Whirlpool (American Water Heater Company) water heater FG1H4040T3NOV at Lowes, and had it professionally installed, in October 2004, and we have had no issues until this past Saturday when we woke up to no hot water. After checking for the obvious, and finding no apparent cause for the failure, I considered it a fluke and relighted the pilot. The pilot took a few attempts to light, but it lit, and the burners came on.Three days later, we woke to no hot water again. This time, we placed a service call to the company that did the initial install. The technician came out, and after his inspection he informed me that the thermocouple/burner assembly needed to be replaced. He also informed me that this is a well-known issue, and Whirlpool has been sending out free updated replacement parts. He called Whirlpool, only to be told that they are no longer offering free, updated parts. Whirlpool also cited that the water heater was out of warranty (by less than 5 months). He gave me Whirlpools number, so I could contact them myself. As I smelled a rat, I began to do some online research about this issue, and, to my chagrin, I found out that I was far from alone with this issue. As of this writing, 1,500+ consumer and professional complaints, a settled class-action lawsuit, etc., etc. I contacted Whirlpool, explained my situation to the support rep, and, he proceeded to tell me that he couldnt help me with free replacement parts, due to the warranty being expired (less than 5 months). I argued with him, stating that this is not a warranty issue, but is in-fact a design/manufacturing defect issue, that has resulted in a redesign/re-manufacture. I cited the myriad of online data and negative testimonials, and I reminded him about the settled class-action lawsuit on this very topic. He acknowledged all of the above, was unimpressed, and offered to sell me the parts. After 15 minutes of back and forth, I asked to be escalated to the next level. But, of course the supervisor was unavailable, and If Id care to leave my name and number... yeah, right. Bottom line, Im very angry! I paid good money to Lowes for Whirlpools product, with a nine-year warranty. I had it professionally installed, and we have no hot water due to poorly designed parts. And... I am being forced to purchase the redesigned parts. Its truly unsatisfying to be an American consumer these days!

A couple of years ago, we had 2 natural gas hot water heaters installed. We immediately had a service call to replace the thermostat on one of them. Then recently, the other one had to be replaced because of the leaky tank. It was still in warranty, and we had to pay $425 for the old one to be removed and the new one installed. Now, this one has a bad thermostat and the A & E Factory Service is coming tomorrow to install the new thermostat. We have been inconvenienced by this for a couple of weeks as we have no hot water in the master bath. We were just lucky that we had one hot water heater working in the other part of the house. I think that Whirlpool should have paid the $425 for the installation as the original hot water heater was in warranty. Now, I hope that tomorrows visit will be covered by the warranty. Next time we need an appliance, we will not be purchasing a Whirlpool.

Purchased in January of 2014: Brand new Whirlpool WOS51EC7AS01 model oven - interior bottom metal has buckled causing the enamel to crack and break off from oven bottom. I registered all my new appliances immediately for warranty. When this happened after the fourth or fifth time baking in the oven, I called Whirlpool to get a service person to look at it. First person Whirlpool scheduled to come out refused to even come out, without looking at my oven. He said he knew we did something wrong? They immediately set up a second service person, after two weeks waiting for an answer; I had to call him (twice). He said that his report and pictures sent into Whirlpool shows normal use and there is nothing wrong with our oven? So, Whirlpool will do nothing to repair the oven? We just spent almost $4,000.00 on all new Whirlpool appliances, and this is how we get treated? WOW! Never again will I ever purchase a Whirlpool product. The enamel is gone in spots from our oven floor. How long do they think that will last with no protective coating on the oven? Terrible customer service.

When our sheets were washed in bulky/sheet cycle and deep water this happened. Maytag sent out repair person to find the water pump went bad, pump was replaced. After repair same bad washing results as stated previously. Maytag then sent out repair person for the second time. This time the main electrical board was replaced. Still after two repairs wash loads are still coming out dirty, soapy, dry in spots in any of the selected wash cycles large or small. Third call to Maytag and a third scheduled repair date coming up in a few day. Over the phone the Maytag employee only words of wisdom was, Did you buy the extended warranty. So unless there is a third failure I believe that this washer is just a poor design.

Four years ago, I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator - French doors (ice and water in the door) and freezer bottom drawer. Against everyone but the HH Greggs salesmans advice, I purchased the extended warranty as I had paid a large sum of money for the refrigerator. Within a year, I began experiencing problems with the ice maker. Over the next few years, I had to have it repaired/replaced an additional three times. Add to the whole mess the incompetency of the A & E Repairmen that required at least two visits each time to complete a repair and their inability to arrive during a 9 hour window, I stayed livid about my refrigerator for three long years. Finally, I demanded a replacement refrigerator under the lemon portion of my warranty. After numerous arguments, the warranty company offered me several different makes and models to pick to replace my hunk of junk. Stupidly thinking that my problems were related to one bad unit, I selected another Whirlpool only to have it completely crash a little over one year after acquiring it. I lost the food in it and am having to wait almost a month for the parts to arrive and the repairman to return. According to him, it will have to be completely rebuilt. I will never, never buy another Whirlpool!

I have a 3 1/2 year old 9400WFW WP washer with a 70 error code. After viewing complaints on various websites, it appears this is a large scale problem with Whirlpool Duet owners. I just got off the phone with WP customer service and explained how many complaints are out there for F70 code error, yet they do not have a recall on this part! How can this be justified? This is a non-mechanical part of the washing machine. The life expectancy should be more than 3 years. My washer is not overused as there are only 2 people in the household. I do not want to pay the cost to repair this. I think WP should issue a part recall on this model. Does anyone know how to find out how many replacement CCU or CPUs have been purchased in relation to the number of 9400 WFW sold or if there may be a chance that WP needs to reconsider a recall?

My new fridge is extremely hard to open. The technician that was sent out told me that there is too much suction building up inside the fridge and freezer and that is why it has to be yanked to open. This is not only annoying it means the fridge is constantly being pulled forward out of place. Technicians solution was to deactive the castors under the fridge. At the time he was here I did not realize that I could then no longer move the fridge out of its place to clean. I called Whirlpool and complained and was told that they could do nothing more for me because the fridge is in good working order. I hardly would call this good working order. They also informed me that if I wished to clean under the fridge or the coils at the back it would require a service call to move the fridge and I WOULD BE CHARGED EACH TIME. Needless to say I AM VERY, VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE WHOLE SITUATION.

Moved into a house with a 2009 Gold Series Dishwasher model GU2475XTVY0. It has never worked since we moved in 3 years ago, always left dishes musty and poorly cleaned. We basically used it as a rinse/dry and pre-washed everything by hand. Even then it would mold up frequently and required manual cleaning. Total piece of junk, but looked really nice, stainless finish. Yeah.Latest chapter is it completely stopped working. Called a tech out for the usual $80+. His advice: this is a total lemon, and has been from the start. Not worth repairing. So Whirlpool, is this the standard you have now? 5-6 years for a dishwasher life cycle? Noted that my fridge is a matching 2009 Gold series, it has also had several problems with keeping a steady temp and has gone through 2 control boards at a hefty fee each. I guess Im done with Whirlpool, running out of appliance brands to blacklist here...

I purchased a Whirlpool range YGY399LXUQ in 2012 from a great local appliance store, Trail Appliances. In 2013 the control panel stopped working and I contacted Trail. In 2014 the same issue came up, but Trail could and would not do anything so I contacted Whirlpool Directly - they came out and replaced the control panel. In 2015 (same month) the control panel is not working AGAIN and Whirlpool has washed their hands of it. A replacement is over $400 + installation. The stove is barely worth that much. I would have thought that they would stand behind their product, in that this is an obvious continual issue or at the very least the service that they provide. WORST EXPERIENCE USING WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR. I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator in July 2013 (Model - Whirlpool Ref New 495 CLUB IMPERIA). Suddenly it stopped working on May 12 and I registered a compliant to the customer care. Engineer came in same and I was surprised by the service, he checked and said he rectified the problem and he left. But the problem was still there and it was never rectified. I launched the complaint again on May 13 and engineer came again and said there is gas problem in Compressor and he left by saying that another engineer will come to refill the gas in compressor. Next day new engineer came in he checked everything and said this compressor is not working and needs to be replaced. I said go ahead and replace it, he said it will take 1-2 days. I said “ok lets do it.” But now theyre saying that they do not have the compressor in stock and they will change the appliance. Again as I do not have another option I said “ok lets do it.”Now the drama start: they are saying I need to pay 20% as a depreciation of the total cost of the refrigerator + INR 1000/- (Cartage) + difference of the new refrigerator which comes to around INR 21,000/-. Well can someone tell me why I need to pay this huge amount when my appliance is still in 10 years of warranty and its just compressor problem and rest of the product is just fine. After fighting with them come to a conclusion that I need pay INR 10,200/- and I will get the new appliance. Now when I already paid the DEMAND DRAFT (DD) of this amount now no one is responding to me on when I will be getting a delivery of the new Refrigerator. Only God knows when I will be getting this. In this HOT summer we are facing a lot of issues just because of their bad service. No one from Customer Care is giving me any response nor are they taking my calls now.Now can someone tell me what I should do? I am left with no option and thinking of taking a legal action against them and thinking of launching a complaint in Consumer Court against them. Please give me your suggestions and send me your response at **. If anyone from WHIRLPOOL is look into this, please help on this matter urgently and respond me back ASAP.

A few months later, it stopped spinning, repaired under warranty and the spin actuator was bad. A few months later it stopped spinning, repaired under warranty, and the actuator was bad. Great. Another few months it stopped spinning again. This time, Whirlpool sent someone to repair it, another bad spin actuator. This time we had to pay for the part. So now that we are completely on our own, it stopped spinning yet again. Let me guess. The spin actuator is bad!!! Incredible. What a piece of crap. This washer was never used heavily.

I love my Whirlpool 4.7 cu. ft. top load washer because it has a pretreat station that is super handy for pretreating stains in a handy little place. The agitator is stronger than my old washer and really gets my clothes cleaner. Its also very quiet and easy to use all the buttons. The best feature is the deep water fill that you can select for more water.

I had a Whirlpool oven for 14 years. It worked great and the control board burned up during the cleaning cycle. I purchased a new whirlpool oven that did not have an exposed bottom heating element. It takes way too long to preheat and if during baking, you need to change the temperature, it starts preheating again and the displayed temperature is lower than the original temperature that was set at the beginning; and it takes too long for the oven to reach the new temperature. This appears to be the result of the bottom heating element being hidden. Heating and maintaining a consistent temperature is far more important than being able to clean the bottom of the oven especially when this is a self-cleaning oven.Updated on October 20, 2015: This is an update on my last review. I was cooking a cake at 350 degrees and when the designated time was up, I opened the door to check for doneness. The cake needed to cook a little longer, so I closed the door and the temperature immediately went to 300 degrees and started preheating again which of course caused the oven to get too hot for the cake I was baking. Who is designing these ovens??? Certainly not a person that cooks on a day-to-day basis. I will never buy a Whirlpool oven again.

Atlanta Gas Light Company showed up at my door Saturday Jan 16, 2016 citing they needed to do maintenance on our meter. 20 minutes later, he came in and said we had a leak. He checked all of the furnaces and water heater, then zeroed in on my brand new Whirlpool Range (purchased 11/11/15) indicating it had a faulty control valve. This faulty and dangerous range was sold to me by Lowes and manufactured by Whirlpool and we had unknowingly been living with a gas leak for 2 1/2 months! Its notable that Atlanta Gas Light sends our contractors only every 3 years to test for gas leaks. I shudder to think what would have happened had they not done this. Ill never buy another Whirlpool anything. Model Number: WFG320M0BB0.

Worst washing machine ever, I should’ve kept my 12-year-old washer that leaked, it worked better and actually washed my clothes... This washer, the Cabrio 5.3 leaves clothes DIRTY, can’t use fabric softener because it doesn’t wash it out even with the extra rinse and deep water wash, leaves white ** on everything!!! I have to wash everything TWICE! I hate this washer! I hate Whirlpool! Piece of **, I want my money back or I want a different washer that actually works as it should! Wasted money on this piece of **! BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT BUY!!! Bought from Best Buy and boy did they sell it to me, told me it was the best washer out and will save me money! SMH.

My wife and I bought my mom a Whirlpool Cabrio. It worked fine but after a while it stopped working properly. It would take forever to start washing. We called Lowes and they said it was fine. Second time they came out, they replaced a part that was the problem. Again it didnt work. Would start to wash two to three hours after you hit start. My mom had nothing but problems with it. My wife and I had a Samsung washer and dryer which worked excellent. We sold them when we moved and our apartment had no washer/dryer connection. I should have given them to my mom. So she was tired of her washer and we set out to buy a new one.So since I had a Samsung, I convinced to get one also. We went to the Sears outlet and found a really nice Samsung washer for around $500. So far, the machine has worked well. No complaints and gets the clothes clean. So for anyone that has had problems buying appliances and is looking for a new one, well, Samsung is doing a great job so far.

DO NOT BUY ANY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS! After purchasing a dishwasher in April 2017, it died after a year. The subsequent years have been filled with waiting all day for service repairs 6 times and living without a dishwasher for up to a week at a time. After 6 services the product continues to malfunction. They are refusing to replace the item and now inform us that we must pay to have it serviced. I cannot stress enough that no one should purchase any products from Whirlpool as they are sub-par products and they do not stand behind their products.

I installed this oven to replace the original Whirlpool model when it died after about seven years. Im absolutely done with this thing. How frustrating when you find out that your guest isnt able to a forgotten cup of coffee that went cold. I thought to call a repairman but after reading all the reviews, I feel its better to switch brands.

The control knob broke off the washer when it was only two years old. I contacted Whirlpool by email about what happened with the dryer. The control panel is held tight to the dryer now with duct tape and the knob is held on also with duct tape. The knob doesnt work. It is stuck on timed dry so I can at least use it and adjust the time. I cannot use any other setting. It would cost about the amount of the dryer to have it repaired. The customer representative informed me that sometimes things dont last. Im glad for his profound wisdom, but Im stuck with a dryer held together with duct tape. I was offered an extended warranty, but the cost of repair will be nearly the amount of a new dryer. I will seek a different brand in the future.

I purchased my fridge from BrandsMart USA in Feb of this year.... It was approx 2500.000 fridge we bought because it matched the rest of the appliances. Little did we know this has been a living nightmare. They have been out to the house 7 times to fix this thing. Its less than 8 months old.... and its still broken. I have been without a fridge going on 2 1/2 weeks. The Senior Customer product review supervisor said he would get me a new fridge that was on the 27th. Every time I call him, his voice mail is full of.... Only to assume that is full of other satisfied customers. I HOPE YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD. Worst appliance we have ever bought. Our last fridge (also stainless french door) we had for about 14 or 15 years and only the door bins cracked that we put gallon milk jugs in (dont do it - they are too heavy and get warm from the door opening). This fridge is a piece of junk. We were told it was stainless - rust spots started appearing the first year. The deli drawer lid broke within a month or two, but I didnt care about that so I just threw it away. The ice machine stopped working a little after the first year. Today however is what got me to write a review - I spent a couple of hours trying to duct tape and make wood supports to hold up the frame for the produce drawers - one of which is totally cracked when it fell from having the support break. While doing this I noticed there are hairline cracks on the front of all 4 of the shelves! Also, this one has a wire basket in the bottom instead of a full drawer - probably more supportive, but it means stuff constantly falls into the bottom of the fridge and it is extremely hard to get in there to clean.

I replaced a 4 year old Whirlpool dishwasher with a new Whirlpool dishwasher on 01/18/2019. July 2020, dishwasher failed. Finally got Whirlpool to send out a repair technician and was advised that the sump and motor had failed. This is after only a year and a half. Whirlpool will not back their product because I did not send another $200 for a service plan. So basically whirlpool cant even guarantee that their product will even last a year.My 4 year old dishwasher had the same issue which is still unacceptable. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator that almost burned down my house and just replaced a failed Whirlpool stove with a Samsung. I wish I could say what I am replacing this dishwasher with, but I am too frustrated to even look for a replacement after only a year and a half. Replacement parts will cost $250 just for me to do it myself. Do yourself a favor and research the product. Should you spend more? I cant answer that. I have seen 20+ year old Frigidaire dishwashers still working. I honestly dont know what brand to get, but I do know that I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again, and neither should you.

About five years ago, I purchased a top load Whirlpool Cabrio washer and matching dryer. For the past couple of years or so, this washer gets out of balance every spin cycle. It sounds like a mac truck running through my house. At this time, I do not have $300-$400 to buy a warranty when I feel that this problem is so widespread (via internet complaints) that Whirlpool should fix this problem. I replaced a perfectly working 13-year old Maytag washer simply because my dryer went out. I have contacted customer service with no results. I recommended this washer to my neighbor about a couple of years ago and now I am sorry I did. Little did I know that three years in there would have to be a repair. As you know, this isnt a bottom of the line cheap washer, therefore, I wouldnt expect it would be acting like one after this period of time. I asked Dave who at Whirlpool cared and basically, he had no answer. I told him that I would expect a company as large as Whirlpool to have people who have the job of searching the internet to see what people are saying about the company and if they did, they would know this was a problem with these washers and would initiate some sort of recall. This is such a bone of contention at my house that I wish the thing would just die so I had to go buy another (and trust me it wont be a Whirlpool). But rather, I get to listen to my washer thrust throughout my house every load I do.

I am a working single man. I needed a used washer. I shopped the new washers but they were a lotta money. I seen many of them were without agitators. Well heck... who am I to judge the progress in technology?? So, going around to the used appliance store I run across this Whirlpool Cabrio. OK, Whirlpool meant quality my entire life. So, I bought it. MASSIVE MISTAKE!!! This POS is no washing machine. I dont know what it is, but it is NO washing machine! It is a machine that runs a very few gallons of water into a load of clothes and makes them wet, and that is about it!!All I know is the federal government is dropping the ball on this situation BIG TIME!! To allow a company to foist off on consumers such a PILE OF JUNK!! The pile of crap is PURE junk as far as simply doing its job... washing clothes!! It is a DISGRACE of an American product, and I will NEVER buy anything made by Whirlpool the rest of my life!!I took the device off the lid that tells it when the lid is closed, and just stuck it in its receptacle in the body... so I could raise the lid while it is running and watch this POS in action and try and figure out what the hell is going on. First big problem is it NEEDS an agitator!! Obviously Whirlpool had not figured out how to make the clothes circulate without one. Second is the water level (no matter what cycle setting) is obscenely LOW!! The clothes do not circulate AT ALL, and about 1/3 of them do not even get below water level for the entire cycle!! What I am forced to do is use a water hose and run a lot more water off into the tub just to get the clothes in the damn water!! And ever at that, the clothes still do not circulate AT ALL!! They just rub up against each other!! And I have to use twice as much soap than called for!!

I have the Cabrio model WTW6400SW2. I have had it for 5 1/2 years and have been happy with it up until several months ago. The F1 would come up when the machine would lock and just start to fill. I could pause it and start it again, and it might do this 1 to 3 times. It would also do it on the rinse cycle. I have been using it because I did not want a repair bill right now. The machine was also starting to make noise when it was spinning. Well, I just happened to break my dryer yesterday so I thought I would get the washer fixed also. Well, the repairman said that the controller would cost $200 for the part, and then he said the pump roller and bearings were going. By the time you add on labor, he said, “You might want to buy a new one.” He told me that Whirlpool has completely changed the washer now because of all the problems with them. He told me to look it up on the computer, and maybe there would be a class action suit. After reading some of the reviews, I will not buy another Whirlpool again.

We purchased the Induction Range Whirlpool Model WF1910H0AS0 almost 2 years ago and bought the extended warranty that was offered by A.J. Madison. We started having problems about 8 months after the purchase. We have had technicians out numerous times and they couldnt solve the problem of the cooktop part of the range locking and beeping when we use the oven. I have made several calls to Whirlpool and basically was told too bad. I see that there have been several complaints with the product and they have stopped making it. On one repair visit we were told that they were replacing a particular part because they were having so many problems with the heat blocker that goes under the glass top that they made it thicker and were hoping that this would solve the problem. It did not.The thing that really has sent me over the edge is that last night I was just boiling water and I heard a pop that came along with a smell (electrical burning smell) and the range blew a fuse and now the cooktop part just shows the deadly error F47. I am so disappointed in Whirlpool and their customer service and too bad attitude. You would think when you are spend almost $1800 for a range that it would not have problems so quickly and pretty much render useless in less than 2 years. Also shame on A.J. Madison for selling extended warranties through a company that has such a bad ratings with the Better Business Bureau. The only reason I gave 1 star is because you cant have no star.

We had purchased matching Whirlpool Cabrio HE washer and gas dryer. Both appliances were worthless. Same problems as everyone else. Clothes did not come clean. We went to our local appliance dealer and purchased a Speed Queen. These are like the older ones. THEY WORK! They use the correct amount of water and wash your clothes in half the time. 22 minutes per load! You can open the lid while the water is running in and load your clothes. Gee, what a concept. It was still under warranty and a repairman was sent to repair it at no cost to me. Something was broke about it. The drawer is so flimsy made it is not made to hold much of anything to start with. I have to take all sorts of effort to get it to close correctly. It is just shoddy made. Then a few weeks ago a piece of the side trim on the oven door fell off. My husband got it back on and then it fell off again last night. I am not happy with this stove, it is cheap made for $550.00. It is white with a smooth cooking surface. I purchased this washer and at the same time had gotten a puppy, I only mention the puppy because she is the one who kept getting blamed for what was happening to my clothes. I NEVER thought that it was my washing machine that was ruining my clothing, until I finally opened the door one day and my shirt was hanging from the top of the washer opening, and suddenly it all made sense! I kept thinking that the puppy was chewing my clothes but it is actually the washer that is sucking my clothing into the opening of the washer and when it gets stuck and the rest of the garment keeps spinning, it creates a burn in the clothing. I found out the hard way that Whirlpool will just blame the consumer for not knowing how to properly follow washing instructions, or their instructions, and will not take any sort of responsibility for it being the washer itself! I wrote to them after my father passed away and I washed his sweater in the washer and it got caught in the washer and ruined it. They blamed me for it and basically said I did not follow the proper washing instructions. I have been washing clothes for over 20 years and I know how to do laundry. I have read every inch of the owners manual and NOTHING tells you that during the wash cycle, your clothes may become sucked into the opening and ruined! So I went online to see if this was happening to anyone else and I was amazed at how many people this is actually happening to! There should have been a recall on these washers and I am amazed there has not been some sort of class action lawsuit.
