3.5 cu.ft Top Load Washer with Water Selection, 9 cycles

Keeping it clean is a task this high-efficiency washer takes seriously. An HE agitator with fabric softener cap provides high-efficiency cleaning and dispensing at just the right time. And with 3.5 cu. ft. capacity, it has enough space to wash nearly two baskets of laundry in one load. This large capacity top load washer takes on dirt with the Deep Water Wash cycle, helping to break down loose soils with more water and thorough cleaning so stains don't stick around. while the Clean Washer cycle with a fresh Washer cleaner deep fills the washer to clean areas that aren't normally reached by low-water wash cycles to help eliminate odor-causing residue in this high-efficiency washer.

I purchased a high dollar built in side by side fridge with custom panels in 4/2005 and had my first service call in 5/2005. Since 2005 we have had 11 service call mostly for defrost failures and over temp. readings. From 2011-11/20/2013 we were issue free then the fridge over temp alarm sounded and we could not hear the fan motor. We had the certified tech come out to evaluate and found that the main control board needed to be replaced. Kitchen Aid/Whirlpool no longer make this item and forwarded us to Core Centric solutions to have a new one built. After speaking with the certified tech who had been out to service our fridge 11 times he informed us that these boards in his experience have never lasted more than a year. We spoke with a customer service rep a Kitchen Aid and asked about a prorated discount on a new built in fridge and she said it seemed reasonable but after checking for authorization informed me I needed to have the board rebuilt at my own cost and that even though this typically takes about 4 weeks to build the fact that our family would be without a fridge is not Kitchen Aids problem. 6/20/2005-over temp/not cooling call (replaced defrost thermostat) 9/2005-over temp/freezer iced over in bottom (freezer decided and drain unclogged) 10/05-over temp/not cooling (replaced fan motor) 9/06-over temp/freezer iced over in bottom (drain line decided, kitchen aid had no advice on how to fix) 10/06-over temp/not cooling, ice build up (whirlpool recommended replace heat kit and bimetal) 11/7-over temp and ice buildup in freezer with leakage (adj to drain pump and defrost drain basin made) 11/07- over temp and freezer icing over (whirlpool sent out a new heater probe) 6/08-over temp and ice buildup (bimetal and foam block replaced) 10/09-over temp, lights and motor shutting on and off (replaced defective board) 10/09- fan making excessive noise (ice buildup found on evaporator fan)11/13-over temp ice buildup in freezer, burning smell from fridge and no air movement or cooling in either compartment (need board rebuilt as on 10/09)Board no longer available from whirlpool, must be custom built at owners expense and will take up to 4 weeks. D/t continuing issues and whirlpool not willing to help the customer with replacement I would highly suggest no one buy a Kitchen Aid fridge.

Front-loading does not do good job of rinsing. The Whirlpool Duet will not last longer than 2 years. Whirlpool recommends that owners purchase a new washer every 2 years. Whirlpool suggests owners purchase new clothes each week to avoid washing. Any owner would be required to quit their job in order to wash clothes. The Whirlpool Duet front-loader requires 12 hours per load. This means that only 2 loads can be washed in a 24-hour period. Each load requires 10 rinse cycles to remove suds.

IM single, and my current refrigerator meets my basic needs quite well. One drawback -- it has an ice making machine which I never use. Therefore, that takes up room in the freezer which could be used for frozen foods.

Whirlpool Cabrio - Our washing machine just started leaking water with oil underneath. This would be our third repair since purchasing this machine but it doesnt sound like a repair is possible or worth it. Its too bad we cant go back to the old models. They definitely lasted longer with no problems. Companies should make the older models bigger and forget about the front loaders and newer models without the agitators. Too much shaking in the machine causes too many repairs!

I bought a new non-frost 14 cubic Whirlpool fridge Model # W4TXNWFWQ in 2013 from PC Richards. The freezer keeps getting busted. It actually produces a lot of frost which stops the entire fridge from running properly. The tech said this is a common problem with Whirlpool. I am lucky to have bought the 3 years warranty. But when I call to fix the problem it always takes them a few days and I have to miss work for this non-sense.

I purchased a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator in Jan 2014. The first thing I noticed was the installers bought the appliance in without a box. The next thing I noticed was the door would not close unless you gave it a big push. While looking around at the hinges, I found 2 hairline cracks at the base of the refrigerator and 2 dents. I called Service and they sent a technician out. The technician told me they are going to want to epoxy this and you will see it. They asked did it get delivered in the box, I said no. I asked why, she said it should have been delivered in the container so you would know that it is new and not a rejected one from a customer. I called Whirlpool to voice my issue with having this epoxied. Kecia was the CSR...she said that is the normal repair for a crack. I told her I had a Kenmore refrigerator for 23 years and it was still functional when I bought this. I replaced it to get the energy savings. I told her I wanted the refrigerator replaced. I told her that the cracks tells a story about the quality of the appliance. I asked her what happens if these cracks expand after the year warranty expires. She said you can buy the extended warranty. I said but the existing warranty will not cover the cracks...what will the the extended warranty do? I asked if there were any recalls...she said no. I asked have there been similar complaints about cracks and dings (not that I thought she would answer yes). She said no unless someone had stepped on the base of it. I told her I lived alone and I definitely did not step on the base of the refrigerator. She got aggravated (almost to the point of being rude) and said Mam, no one said you stood on the base. I asked her repeatedly if there was someone else I could speak with. Her repeated answer was I am authorized to speak with you. She wouldnt let me to speak with anyone else. I am done with Whirlpool and stuck with this substandard refrigerator. Not happy at all in Va.

I purchased a Whirlpool Gas Range from hhgregg July, 2013 and the oven was non-operational within 4 months. Since then Ive had 4 repairs on this lemon of an oven. I purchased the extended warranty plan through Assurant and, fortunately, have not had to pay a dime for these repairs, but I should not need to keep repairing the same parts continuously. Either the replacement parts are bad or the service technician is terrible and doesnt know what hes doing or Whirlpool makes such poor products that they are not meant to last. There is NO lemon law for appliances and the decision to replace appliances is the decision of the Assurant Warranty Co & they won t replace it and even if they did it would be with a used refurbished gas range. Why would I want someone elses refurbished piece of junk when I already have a repaired piece of junk?!

I bought model #W4TXNWFWQ at Lowes in February 2013. It had a one-year warranty. Five months after the warranty expired, the defrost timer went out. It cost $100 to fix the $400 refrigerator. Planned obsolescence or coincidence? Either way, its poor quality.

I bought a Whirlpool over the stove microwave. It was to replace a GE that was over nine years old. 40 days after purchase and installation the plastic started chipping and peeling. I contacted Whirlpool customer service and was told that it was a cosmetic problem and my warranty stated that I had thirty days of warranty on cosmetic problems. This was a problem because chipping and cracking didnt happen within 30 days. The chipping and cracking continued to get worse. I again called customer service because the warranty stated that workmanship and bad parts were covered up to one year. I was told that because it was over my stove that this was to be expected. I thought this was a dumb answer because had I known that an over the stove microwave would have problems from cooking I would have installed it in my living room over the television. I called customer service several times. One of the times I called I talked to a representative who actually acted as if she wanted to help me. She suggested sending an e-mail with pictures and gave me an e-mail address. I did this and got no response. I was getting close to the warranty expiration date. I called again and was told that pictures wouldnt work; I would have to pay to have a serviceman come out and write a statement saying that it was not cosmetic. The cracking and chipping is so bad that I cant clean parts of the door because the cloth or sponges catch on the cracks. The door on the GE microwave did not look as bad after nine years of use as the Whirlpool does after 1 year and 8 days of use. I am not the smartest person in the world but I know the difference between poor quality material and workmanship as opposed to cosmetic problems. Im pretty sure that if my wife put her makeup on and pieces of her face started cracking and falling off she wouldnt want to hear that it is not a real problem its only cosmetic. Bottom line is I am very dissatisfied with the poor customer service and warranty problems I have experienced. I will not buy another Whirlpool product and would strongly suggest to others to buy any brand but Whirlpool.

This refrigerator is a disaster. You will never be able to leave your home for any length of time for fear of a storm putting your electricity out which turns it off and if it DOES NOT TURN BACK ON WHEN THE POWER IS RESTORED. If you happen to be away for several days you will come back to a freezer that has defrosted all over your floor and your food in the refrigerator spoiled.

I purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave (model WMH3205XVQ) on 9/27/10 and have replaced the door now for the second time due to the plastic cracking. I also discovered today that the plastic has again cracked on the vent grill and the control panel. The door, vent grill, and control panel were all replaced on 8/19/2011, under warranty. It appears to me that Whirlpool has a manufacturing defect which they need to address with the consumers who have purchased these products.

I moved down to Florida in March of this year. I have always owned Whirlpool appliances and wouldnt think of buying another brand...... till now. I purchased in March a new washer and dryer set washer model #WTW4800XQ4. The washer is so noisy that I cant watch TV while its running (what a piece of junk). I asked when they installed it if there was something wrong with it and the gentleman from H&H Gregg said no, they all sound like that. I guess if you want quality you have to buy Japanese.... HOW SAD.

Bought a model WRT318FZDW02 (top freezer) refrigerator (new) about 3 1/2 years ago and its already failing. The temperature regulation has failed and food in the lower compartment freezes while the temperature in the freezer compartment varies wildly. Unfortunately typical repair costs these days will probably make this a throw away item. Ive owned several different refrigerators over the years and theyve all lasted well beyond 10 years. I definitely cant recommend buying anything from Whirlpool these days.

l will never buy Whirlpool appliances again, nor do I recommend to anyone. My wall over was 1 1/2 yrs old with a worthless 1 yr limited Warranty. I had Total Appliance from Cleveland do the repair, the only ones I found at the time that would work on this type over with a Digital panel. I think the engineers think we all live in Silicon Valley. Unfortunately the cost to repair after I cleaned the oven for the first time was $384.00 to unlock the door and 2 trips and he had to remove the door to replace 2 fuses so the door and panel would work! Im afraid to clean them oven again..I called Whirlpool and the first wait time was 70 Mins... I put the phone on speaker, finally I talked to 2 Customer Service men to no avail. He basically said my Warranty was up and nothing they could do! I said I was going to complain on Social Media and he didnt care! Go to Consumers Digest before you buy any new appliance! PS, I also went on YOUTUBE and you can see all the TROUBLESHOOTING ON MANY APPLIANCES!

Eleven months after purchasing a Whirlpool refrigerator for our office lunch room it stopped working. While the refrigerator was still under warranty, I called Whirlpool for a service call. I was informed that the warranty is voided because the unit is located at a business and not a residential property. I explained to the customer service agent that there is no mention of this policy until after the appliance is purchased. After a considerable amount of time on the phone speaking with several supervisors, I was connected to a Resolution Specialist. She informed me that this policy is available online for consumers to view prior to purchasing Whirlpool appliances and it is the consumers Due Diligence to research warranty policies before purchasing. Consumers beware! Warranties are voided on all Whirlpool appliances that are located at a business address.

I bought a Whirlpool french door refrigerator, model # ED5LVAXWS about five years ago. I didnt have any problems until last month, on August 25, 2016. The ice dispenser stopped working, and the refrigerator went off. I had to throw out a lot of food. I got a new extended warranty that day, and a serviceman came out the following day, 8/26. It turned out he wasnt a repairman, just someone to diagnosis the problem and order the parts. The part was ordered, and the fridge would be repaired within 5 days, but the part was delayed because of a Hurricane Hermine, which completely understandable. On 9/8 the repairman arrived, but he realized that the original guy who diagnosed the problem was in error. He had ordered a compressor, and what needed to be replaced was the thermostat. As of today, 9/29, the part is still not in -- I was told its on backorder with no ETA. If I didnt have a mini fridge, Id be at a complete loss. I called what I thought was Whirlpool to complain about the part taking so long to arrive, but was told they can do nothing. It turns out that a company called AIG U.S. Warranty Division handles Whirlpools guarantees. I am not a happy camper.

I purchased a Whirlpool CABRIO H2Low top load washing machine approximately 12-15 months ago from Lowes in Columbus, GA. I have been very dissatisfied with it from the beginning. I contacted Lowes and discussed the machine and expressed my complaints. I realize that it has a sensor and fills the machine with the amount of water according to the weight of the clothes but have found that regardless of what cycle I place the machine in, it doesnt place over 2 inches of water in the machine. It does not clean the linens, under garments or any type clothes. In fact, it has ruined my designer clothes. It is impossible to get the wrinkles out with an iron. Im very disappointed in the service we have received with this washer.

I called Whirlpool’s 800 customer service line to let them know I was having a problem with this loud humming and rattling noise coming from my refrigerator because of a manufacturing defect (according to the service tech that came to my house to fix it). Apparently, the metal grid is being held by a flat mental hook which vibrates. What a loud noise. We cannot eat in our kitchen: the noise it terrible. The repairmans solution was to put a piece of rubber between the two metal pieces. It worked until he left. I told him it would start again and it did! I even let the customer service rep hear the noise and she agreed. I am in the early stages of my problem, but from what I have read I am not very hopeful. I would like to have the names and phone numbers of the people at Whirlpool who refused to help. Maybe if we would all band together and call them, they would get tired of hearing from unhappy customers and fix the problems. I am game. Anyone else?

The Whirlpool repairman left today after replacing the burned out motor on my 5 yr old dishwasher bought in Feb 2012 and installed July 2012 as did not arrive from Quebec to Surrey BC until the end of June 2012. So the Finish dishwasher detergent was in the dishwasher as samples and coupons and recommended this Finish for use in the new dishwasher so I stupidly believed them and used it. Well last week my dishwasher stopped working after it started and turns out today the cause was from the Finish dishwasher detergent. I was told today after paying 393 dollars for the repairs. Not to use Finish anymore or I will have the same problem. To only use Cascade. So what is a person suppose to believe.

In November 2012 we purchased a Whirlpool Gold Series refrigerator, model WRF990SLAM from Lowes. This model has the ice maker in the door. We also purchased an extended warranty. In July of 2013, we contacted Lowes service because the refrigerator had ice inside it, top left, where the ice maker equipment is located. Also, under the ice bin, there was a solid block of ice. Water was dripping onto our food inside the refrigerator. August 6, a 3rd party repair company came and replaced parts. One week later, the same issue was happening. We called for service again. It took until 9/9 for them to come out again, and replace the same parts. Approximately 2 weeks later, SAME problem. This time, I called Whirlpool directly. I was told that they (Whirlpool) are aware of the problem with this model, and they should have new parts in by the end of the month that will fix that problem. They even have a special team for this! I asked for their direct number (866-461-2287). On 10/7 I phoned again asking for a status update. I was told that they were just waiting for approval to call consumers to set appointments, and I should hear from them by the end of the week. I also informed them that I was no longer able to use the ice maker or water dispenser because it was now leaking substantially into the refrigerator. They made a note of it. As of today, 10/13, I have not had a call back. This refrigerator cost us nearly 2500.00 and has a known defect! Tomorrow, Monday 10/14, I will begin to demand a new refrigerator (different model!) via Lowes AND Whirlpool. Too bad Whirlpool. Were now going to buy a new gas range...and I can guarantee you it will NOT be a Whirlpool!

Brand new dishwasher and first time I started it I noticed the timer showed the cycle taking over 3 hours. When done I opened the door and there was some water in the bottom and the door was very wet. Dishes had not been washed. A glass that had turned upright had no water in it. The soap pod was still intact. I started over again and the same thing happened - two more times. The silverware is not clean either. Its going back!!! Im sure there will be resistance but we will deal with it.

Wife and I bought a WRF990SLAM00 fridge in 5/2013. Seemed like the nicest model Lowes had at the time. The first one delivered had problems: it wouldnt stand level or seal properly, and had to be replaced. Another unit was delivered a few days later. This one - the same model - worked very nicely, for a year and a half. A few days ago, it got loud. My wife noticed in the freezer, some things were beginning to thaw. We called Whirlpool, who said, Oh, its over a year, and youre out of warranty. Sorry! Ok, so they suck. After we had a technician examine the freezer, he suggested, This is something Whirlpool needs to address. It wasnt the first (or fourth) problem with this fridge that hes seen. Called Whirlpool again, this time to gripe. Sorry, youre more than a year, so no warranty BUT, well sell you a service contract for $330! Hows that sound? It sounds like Whirlpool just disqualified themselves from ever getting their hands on another dollar from my family. Theres too many other companies who DONT treat their customers like garbage.

We purchased a new refrigerator and dishwasher about three and a half years ago. There are only two of us living in the house and we both work so it is not like we use our dishwasher every day. Dishwasher is Whirlpool Whisper Quiet III Gold model. About three months ago, the panel lights quit working but the dishwasher would still run. Now the blasted thing will not even turn on. Our ice maker freezes up and we are always having to ice pick out the ice and clean out the ice maker. Basically, we never use it because we are tired of the process of cleaning it just to have ice. Now after reading reviews, I do not want to fork out the money to have a repair person come in and fix the dishwasher which most likely will break down somewhere else. Plus the dishwasher tray has a lot of broken tips and are rusty and I have actually had to file a few to keep from getting stabbed by the sharp point. The previous dishwasher worked great and had been in the house for over 15 years. I wish I could remember what brand it was. I only replaced it because I wanted one to match the refrigerator. I am appalled at the quality of the Whirlpool products. I have to get another dishwasher and I have other things that I need to spend my money on rather than a dishwasher. I wont buy another Whirlpool product as of September 13, 2013.

My experiences using Whirpool ranges and ovens have been very positive. As a matter of fact, that is the brand preferred by my family through several generations. Durability, reliability and warranties have been the main features we have found useful. Most of the ranges and ovens have been replaced at home, always with Whirlpool brand, but with added improvements that manufacturer come up with, in order to integrate our devices to the latest technologies. I would recommend this brand to the readers, friends and neighbors.

Cabrio WTW8200YWO - We purchased this washer five years ago. About a year ago it started getting noisier and noisier on spin cycle. Now it sounds like a jumbo jet taking off. A Google search quickly revealed this is a ubiquitous problem with these washers. As we are in our 70s and dont have kids at home, we are very light users of the washer. First, I would suggest that no one buy this washer. Second, I suggest that Whirlpool should recall these washers. I called Whirlpool and it turns out they clearly know about this issue. The good news is they will offer you a discount on repairs or even on a new machine. The bad news is it will still cost you several hundred dollars to fix their design defect. I suggest that you avoid purchasing Whirlpool products both because of their defective design and because of Whirlpools unwillingness to take responsibility for these problems.

We paid $6,000 over and above my homes purchase price for double ovens that are defective. Whirlpool will not address the problem! When you bake a pie or a turkey, the bottom and center are raw, and the top burns, because the bottom element is hidden under the bottom of the oven, instead of on top of the interior floor area of the oven. Whirlpools new design is defective! The service technician says the oven is performing as designed therefore there is a design defect! However, Whirlpool will not take any action, because the parts are not broken and they send us back to the extended service plan people. It is ridiculous for the consumer to be caught in the middle. Whirlpool does not want to stand by their product. The builder of our home, Coleman Homes in Middleton, ID, purchased the ovens from Whirlpool originally. Therefore Whirlpool says we are not the original purchaser of the product, Coleman Homes are, and Whirlpool cannot do anything because we did not buy the ovens directly from Whirlpool ourselves, Coleman Homes did. The Whirlpool Warranty (waste of money) says they cannot do anything because it is not a parts issue. Coleman Homes says they cannot do anything because the warranty was given to us when we purchased the home. Whirlpool needs to replace the hidden element with a true baking element so the ovens will bake properly!!! Model Number: WOD51EC0AS Serial Number: D52208658

Unlike the Whirlpool ice maker, it makes ice. I promptly removed the Whirlpool ice maker FOR THE LAST TIME, and sent it to the dump, where it belongs. Goodbye Whirlpool! Today, as I was down on my hands and knees trying to clean it, I noticed that the enamel is chipping off where the oven racks slide in. Great. I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from Home Depot in Nov, 2013. Model is WRF560SEYWOO with water in the door and bottom freezer with ice compartment. This is a very small refrigerator for my very small space. I swear these companies program their appliances to break down exactly 1 month after the warranty is up. Thats what happened to me. Dec 2014 this horrible loud humming noise started. You could hear it out on the sidewalk! Then the door with the water just detached from the bottom and screws and plastic pieces fell out all over the floor. The day the repairman came he noticed all the rubber lining in the doors was detaching and huge chunks were falling off of it. He called to get replacement parts for everything and whatyaknow, all parts for this unit have been discontinued! This is what we did to cope with all these defects. The noise was caused by ice building up around the exhaust fan because the unit had stopped defrosting that area, so every 3 days I have to get out my hairdryer and melt the ice at the back of the unit. Next we MacGyvered the door so that it is resting on the freezer door. Next, he brought in some tape and taped all the pieces of rubber falling off my doors!! This frigging frig cost me $1,653.00!! I AM FURIOUS. Why isnt Con. AFFAIRS DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?!

It got so bad that we started to wash the dishes twice but it would not clean the dishes. We called a repairman out to see what the problem could be. He checked everything and told us nothing was wrong with the dishwasher and to clean it with CLR. We cleaned it with CLR twice and the dishes looked better with the first wash. The next wash was the same with leaving grit and dried food particles on the glasses. I am now washing my dishes by hand if I want to clean dishes. Worst Air conditioner brand I have ever come across. My personal experience
Worst Air conditioner brand I have ever come across. My personal experience with Whirlpool Air Conditioner is not encouraging. I have used almost all brands of AC but found that the quality of Whirlpool AC is not worth recommending. Please stay away from Whirlpool. I got one Whirlpool 1.5 Ton Split Air Conditioner (Model 3D Cool Xtreme, 6th Sense Climate Control) at my house about 2 years back. I booked a service request with the Whirlpool’s Authorized Service Centre M/s Western Refrigeration Co., NOIDA as the Air-conditioner was not cooling to the desired level. On the first visit on 20-05-2019, the service engineer advised that the AC was not cooling because the gas had drained and the gas is required to be filled for which there will be a charges of Rs 2500/-. Believing him, I agreed for refilling of the gas at his quoted price. He sent next day some other attendant team for filling the gas. Those attendants revealed that in addition to the gas, two valves are also required to be replaced at an additional cost of Rs 1600/-. Though I had a doubt about the correctness of their diagnosis, there being no option, we paid for valves also. Accordingly, a total of Rs 4100/- was paid by us.However, to our utter surprise, the AC stopped cooling within a couple of days. Hence, the service centre was again informed. The complaint was again attended second time on 04-06-2019 and we were told that they have again refilled the Gas.However, again the result was NIL. The AC was not giving cooling effect. Hence, third time again complain was booked. The first attendant once again advised for only gas filling after thorough examination. He sent an another guy on 20-06-2019 for gas filling who then revealed that the cooling effect is not there because the condenser coil is leaking and the same will have to be replaced at an additional cost of Rs 5500/-.The following important points emerges out of the above:- 1) If there was a condenser coil leaking problem, why it was not disclosed to us when the AC was attended earlier by various Service Teams consisting of various attendants in the process from the same service centre? 2) Whether my all money paid earlier for gas filling and changing of two new valves will go waste due to wrong diagnosis by your technicians?3) Keeping in view the earlier wrong diagnosis, I very much doubt the present diagnosis and feel that this is a ploy to extract more money from gullible customer who lacks technical knowledge. We spoke to the service centre officials up to three four levels on the numbers received from the call centre but after listening the matter they assure to call us back. After no call back from their side, when we try to call them, they do not lift our calls. The above facts clearly bring out the cheating, harassment and looting by the Service Centre under the aegis of the so called prestigious company M/s Whirlpool. The hard earned reputation and trust of the Whirlpool is being impaired by these unscrupulous service centre. No punitive action appears to have been taken by Whirlpool office against the unscrupulous service centre for unfair trade practices. Rather the person from Whirlpool office over call was also trying to coax us to pay some more money to the unscrupulous service centre who has already cheated us and extracted money earlier from us with zero results. My Air Conditioner is totally shut off due to mishandling and misdiagnosis by the service centre. We are acutely suffering due to scorching heat and over and above going through the mental harassment for the last two months. We expected an immediate resolution for the above problem on top priority basis without any further additional cost however despite my number of reminder through their toll free number, mail id etc. the problem still remains unresolved and unattended. It is highly disappointing that despite my writing repeated mails with reminders no senior person from Whirlpool has so far taken cognizance of the grievance and the customer has been left in the lurch to be harassed by the highly inefficient, incompetent and indecisive service centre officials who have miserably failed to address the issue and satisfy the customer.

I purchased a side-by-side Whirlpool refrigerator less than three years ago, but about a year ago we discovered it was leaking from the freezer thats located on the bottom. Initially we thought that if we simply defrosted the sheet of ice that formed on the bottom of the freezer - it would stop the leaking. Its hard to keep up with - I checked into it on the Internet and discovered that there is a clogged drain hole that is causing the leaking.Apparently, a number of people are experiencing the same thing. I called Whirlpool (since our local repairman suggested we contact them because this is a chronic problem and is likely to happen again). The customer service person kept pushing me to buy the extended warranty with their repair that will cost nearly $400!!! Without it - it will cost nearly $200 that doesnt include any parts. I purchased Whirlpool washer in 12/2011. Immediately, I noticed the noise and called service. It was a whistling noise. The clerk told me nothing was in the manual and it would cost $65 to have a tech come out. He advised me to wait until it was louder and more consistent. I called again when it was. Gear case was replaced on 5/2/2012 five months after purchasing the machine. I called Whirlpool again in 5/2013 - same problem. I was told the diagnostic call would be $95, labor which is extended for a major job is $85 and the part would be $290. It would cost $470 to repair as the gear case was guaranteed for only three months. This machine is a lemon since the gear case is now shot again prior to the machine being 1-1/2 yrs. old. I called Whirlpool and spoke to Amy (Esc. Sup.) who advised they would replace the part only. The appointment was scheduled; the tech came, did diagnostics reading a manual and said the gear case is shot. I inquired, Well, you are going to fix it today right? The reply was, Oh no, it has to be ordered and its a two-man job. When I arranged for this appointment, this was clearly explained and what I was expecting, two men and the part to be replaced with them. Now its a five-day wait to get the part and then a scheduling issue when they could do it. This machine is a lemon and Id like to have the machine replaced or my money refunded. This is a runaround, scheduling the appointment and having someone show up with the manual and having no parts and not knowing that it was the part which broke again from previously being replaced.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer - I have had all of the problems that all of the other 900 people have complained about! The washer does not wash anything properly. I have even experienced having something such as a bit of cereal stuck to a dishcloth and it was still on there after a full wash cycle. All of my whites are now grey and stained. All of the sheets end up with a huge dirty ring the size of the tub in the middle of them. Everything comes out in a tangled mess of knots! Very frustrating! Everything comes out smelly as if its been sitting in the washer for days. Nothing smells fresh and clean like it should. Energy wise, we are using two and three times the amount of energy as I am washing and drying things for two or three times over, which brings me to the dryer. I put one single load in and it takes two or three cycles to dry it properly. This is unacceptable and I cannot believe that we cannot get some satisfaction from someone in this regard! We bought our set from Sears and I feel that they obviously know of this problem and still continue to sell Whirlpool products! Weve all been taken for a ride and Whirlpool should be held accountable for ripping people off this way. Someone please help!

Think twice before buying Whirlpool appliances. In our experience, quality
Think twice before buying Whirlpool appliances. In our experience, quality and durability are a real issue. Here is our story. 5 years ago we built a winter vacation home. We bought brand new Whirlpool appliances from a reputable vendor at full price. Washer, dryer, double oven, and refrigerator. The washer arrived damaged. The damage was a button that was depressed and could not be released. This was brand new washer, never used, but Whirlpool insisted that we had caused the damage. It was only after the vendors tech got involved that Whirlpool relented and sent a repair tech.Next, the bottom oven door came apart in my hands after just days of use. I had to fight (yes fight and argue!) with Whirlpool customer service to send a repair tech. Finally after much arguing Whirlpool sent a tech and the oven door was repaired. The tech told us that this was a common defect! (Shame on you Whirlpool!) So why you might ask, why am I complaining? Well this is a vacation home. We are here 3 months a year (times 4 years = 1 year of very light use) and today the oven door came apart in my hands again. That makes twice in 12 months of light use. Frankly, this is shameful! I do not understand how this company gets away with it!I am disgusted with Whirlpool crap quality and crap customer service and I want everyone to know what they can expect when buying Whirlpool. I suggest you check all available reviews before placing your order for anything from Whirlpool. As for this new oven door repair? Ill report again after talking with Whirlpool but I expect to be told Sorry sucker, the warranty is over! Buyer beware!

I bought a Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer in September 2013 and washer is already broken. It leaks out the front of the front loading door (yes, I clean it as advised, including leaving door open to air dry etc). I am a retired senior citizen and my wife and I spend 6 months of the year in Florida so the washer has barely been used since we are barely home and its not like we are trying to wash load after load of heavily soiled items daily. I would not recommend this product at all!! The repair people said it would cost approximately $300 to fix and offered a plan to fix it for $350 with a 1 year warranty. Why should I bother to do either if I will have to do same after 1 year? This machine is barely used and broke?! The customer service people were not helpful and seemed only interested selling me the repair plan to fix what should not need fixing. So, to recap - I bought the machine in 9/13 then went to Florida from 10/13 to 4/14 (so it was used 1 month). Then, it was used from 4/14 until 10/14 (6 months). I returned from Florida this year in April 2015 and it started leaking in June 2015 (2 months). So, my machine has been used for a grand total of 9 months and it is already broken!!! Stay far away. Whirlpool should come and replace this machine for us for free if they care anything about customer service and senior citizens but clearly they do not. In Florida we have an old Sears Kenmore machine that has lasted for over 20 years!!

The noise sounded like bearing not being lubricated, which that is what it ended up being. The noise got so loud that even with all my very expensive electronics (my home entertainment ctr equipment) I could not hear the TV which goes through an expensive Yamaha AV Receiver and those expensive Infinity speakers 7 channel system. The main bearing for the wash drum assembly was bad. After two emails and several phone calls to both Lowes and Whirlpool, Whirlpool was going to send the so-called re-engineered drum assembly. The style I have is 3 parts; the new one according to Whirlpool is one part, but if they put the same bearing in, youre going to end up with the same problem in another year. I live in a condo of just over 920 sq. ft. so really there is no room to repair them in my home, but that is what they are going to do. I will be getting the new drum assembly delivered to my condo and have the repair company doing this dirty job in the middle of my living room.Living in a condo, I have a small utility closet next to the kitchen where the furnace, hot water tank, and washer and dryer are. The closet needs to have some areas cut out with and installed two small hinged doors on each side, so if anything ever needs to be repaired or replaced, there would be a little bit more room to move items in or out. The problem getting the washer out is getting the dryer moved so you can disconnect the electrical plug, cold water hose for the steam, plus the vent hose. First, you have to get to the water valves which are very hard to reach. Because of the way cluster housing is made, they squeeze things into very small holes like the faucets and drain hose are located. I was asked by the repair person if I could help him lift these items out of the closet. I have had 7 fusion back operations and #7 left me in constant pain that I take a narcotic drug for pain daily. So, I called Whirlpool back and said the repair people were only going to send a tech. I was told that it is a two-man job: one tech and one helper. So Lowes needs to authorize two people since Whirlpool is sending the new drum assembly for free. I wish I could have gotten a new washing machine with the so-called re-engineered drum assembly. I am still probably going to have to squeeze between the bulkhead (wall) and the washer and dryer to disconnect everything since I am a small person. If I wasnt retired, I would have bought a different brand front loading washer and dryer, probably Bosch and took the loss on these piles of Junk. I love my country and do my very best even as hard as it is in this day and age to buy US. I served my country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, just to see the civilians willfully buy Asian everything. So now, we have 4 Asian nations that own this country. I dont know why Whirlpool changed from a company that you could trust their products to a company that doesnt give a damn what they put out the back door. These companies still havent gotten the clue why folks buy goods from other countries. I think they need to open their eyes, but I guess with Whirlpool still being a company that is selling a very large number of appliances and making money off of us, suckers, they dont need to change. The only way they are going to change is if folks stop buying their junk.

Whirlpool refrigerator stopped working after two years of ownership. The back of the freezer compartment will ice up, stops cooling and makes a loud grinding noise. We expected a much longer life in a brand new refrigerator. Our extended warranty plan has not provided a replacement or comparable credit for a new refrigerator. We have been without a refrigerator for over a 1 1/2 months. Very unpleasant during the holiday season!!! I would never recommend buying a Whirlpool product of any kind.

Be very careful when you buy this heater. It will go bad within a short time, and you wont have any hot water heater. You call Lowes, they wont take it back, they will tell you to call Whirlpool who may send you a part or send someone to fix it. No hot water for many days. Again, after a short time, it will stop working and by the time you get it fixed, again no hot water for a long time. This is the pattern with this piece of garbage. So you get disgusted, rip the thing apart and take it to Lowes for a refund.. Sorry Dude, they wont take it...it is stated in their receipt or on the literature that came with the heater. Your best bet... put a bunch of dents in the heater and tell them it was damaged when you opened it... Lowes will be obligated to refund the money. With so many complaints on Consumer Affairs and other web sites, why is Lowes still selling this heater and no other brand??? Maybe Superbowl tickets or a trip to Hawaii for the buyers...who knows...but one thing for sure, since Whirlpool does not respond to these complaints, I will guarantee you that their other products will suffer in sales because, I for one, will not buy another Whirlpool product.

I found this site while looking for a part number for the thermocouple. Lowes had one, but not for the FG model. I decided to call the number on here from Chris to see where I could buy the correct one with left-handed threads. I was told that they would sell me the conversion kit, but I couldnt get just the $8 thermocouple. Then $47.90 later and the conversion kit is on its way. Im not happy about it but at least I got 6 years out of my water heater before the thermocouple failed. The plus side is next time, I can get the $8 part from Lowes and not be without hot water for a week.

I bought this washing machine in May 5, 2012 and delivered in July from Paddys Market. We do not use the machine that much because me and my wife and two kids living in the house. Yesterday I put my clothes in the machine and left it to wash it. When I went to get my clothes, water was all over the place in the basement and the machine was beeping and reading code LF. I turn off the machine and turned on back. Water started to fill and then suddenly water started to coming from the bottom of the machine. I removed the bottom panel and I could see the water was coming very fast from the bottom of the basket (the drum shape). I called the private company to repair it and waiting to find out.

We wanted the ease of use and longevity of a top loader WITHOUT a full touch screen. Whirlpool has such units in a choice of price levels to accommodate most everybody. I bought my Whirlpool Cabrio Top Loading HE washing machine and dryer duo in February 2009. I carried an additional extra extended warranty for an extra 3 years. Now, at the dispenser where you add the bleach, it has rusted. The rust has gotten so bad the lid has detached from the body of the machine. I cant understand how a machine less than 4 years old could rust so badly. I called Whirlpool to complain and they suggested I get it repaired and my cost. A car that sits outside in rain, sun, snow and hail does not rust in 3 years. I bought the machines from Home Depot. The way Whirlpool has handled this, I will never buy another Whirlpool.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine in October of 2016. This has to be the worst purchase ever. I agree with most of all complaints I have read. I am using more water, electricity and time to get one load half clean. How can this be efficient? The only problem I dont have is the noise; very quiet as if it goes to sleep. Seems to me the company has misrepresented this machine in its claim of being high efficient, washing (cleaning) machine. I too say Do Not Buy this Machine!

Purchased a Whirlpool WTW7800XW a year and a half ago. The left top of the washers glass pops up, making it impossible to use the washer unless I weigh it down. Apparently a screw has popped out to hold the glass in place. Whirlpool used to make a decent product, but thought I should pay them $129 for their time, just to come out and then an additional part fee. How about the 30 minutes I spent on the phone with no satisfaction. My time is also valuable. I gave them the choice to come out and replace the screw (which shouldnt have fallen out in the first place) or lose a customer. Fortunately, I have a husband that can repair it, but I am extremely disappointed that Whirlpool is now making substandard products. We are a family of 3, so its not like Im doing laundry daily. Am I wrong to think I can get at least 3 years out of a product?

When we moved into our home this past year there was a Whirlpool gas stove model number W10406473A. We have the plastic knobs on the front of the stove which need to be pushed and turned in order to turn on the gas. I recently ran into a serious problem where my cat walked across the knob area and pushed and turned the knob causing the gas to come on the stove. This is a problem due to the fact that a child could have also have easily turned on this stove. This is a definite fire hazard as well as a carbon dioxide problem. I warn anyone with this stove to replace it with another make or model immediately. Im in the beginning mode of looking to see if a recall has ever been made on this model.

This is our 2nd circuit board failure in the 4-5 yrs, since we purchased this very expensive range/oven. The first time was shortly after the warranty ran out and Whirlpool would not even send us the part for free. They said there was nothing they could do. So this time we are not even contacting them and are just having our repairman order another new one. For a $1600 range to have to put more than $400 back in so far, I would never buy a Whirlpool again. I have been very careful not to use any cleaners on the circuit board as I was told by our repairman that that shorts them out. First the convect bake button wouldnt work, nor the convect roast, now the bake button, so the only buttons that work are broil and warm. Even the timer is shot. What a piece of junk (electronically). Beware buyers!

I will be happy to provide exact details soon but wanted to share I have had most of our clothes and household items-sheets, rugs, towels etc. ruined by this machine. And it is under warranty and Lowes in Dallas, Texas where I purchased it has seen the evidence. I rolled in with a suitcase full of different examples of ruined items and some photos. The repair person Whirlpool sent out was nice but not willing to document clothes and said the machine is fine after a few diagnostics digital checks. He did not run a load of clothes! And it takes forever to set up. My wait was over 3 weeks. etc. Lowes has been incredibly wonderful but states the warranty is Whirlpools decision and all Lowes needs is a RA (return authorization from Whirlpool) and Lowes is happy for me to buy whatever ever washer I like and even are willing to give me a discount as they know how horribly Whirlpool has treated me.The manager stayed on speaker phone with me for over an hour. My husband is a lawyer and I will further pursue this situation as Whirlpool hopes I will just drop it by March when my Whirlpool warranty runs out or give up from protocol internal exhaustion. As they have insulted me in every way... Even suggesting I sell the defective machine to someone else... And I said, How in good faith and having a conscience could I do that? Anyway after spending a lifetime it seems trying my best to get this resolved with a cauliflower ear from being on the phone for so many hours with their resolution leaders and specialists etc. It is obvious I am about to have to go on social media and do everything I can to Save others from this time waster, Save their laundry, etc. and Did I mention at times it leaks a little bit of water out the front. As it was the least of my worries as I was showing nice tech my expensive ruined 900.00 ski pants, ruined shirts etc. I think the machine cost around a 1,000 to 1,200 so... Will get back to you for an update. I have a whole file folder on documentation now and it is not about the money or the fact I cannot wash clothes. It is down to principle... On my third top-level resolution leader in MI. -Jim- basically had me read between the lines that I was dealing with a Fortune 500 company and would never win. He is underestimating the level of frustration and lengths I will go to not be taken advantage of as a woman, a career girl, a wife and a yoga teacher. I will be in Yoga warrior mode and this is disheartening as all I want to do is wash my clothes. Did I mention all my Lulu Lemon pants are ruined and I never put them in the dryer! Only delicate cold etc. Have them remain intact etc. really simple here but Whirlpool not standing by their warranties. And my whole home is outfitted with Jen-air, Kitchen-Aid, Maytag etc. which are all owned by the same company so I have been a very loyal customer who possibly just got a lemon. Or standards at the company have severely changed. More later on developments hopefully. Sad in Dallas.

I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio H2Low from Sears 6 years ago. After numerous problems with clothes not getting clean (soap spots, stain transfers, etc) I learned the only setting I could use that actually cleaned was bulky with an extra rinse (so much for the energy efficiency). My first major repair was in the first year. Weve since had 3 more and the darn thing died again this morning. First the motherboard died and needed replacement, the drain pump failed, the door lock failed, and twice now it stopped spinning. I have called Whirlpool multiple times because our washing machine model #WFW9290FW has been out of service for 5 weeks now. I have been informed that I need part #W10604640, which is on back-order and they wont give me any idea of how long it is going to take to get this part replaced. Apparently, there are 96 total people who also need this part. I find it hard to believe that a company this big would not have this part on hand and they would not have any idea how long it would take to get it replaced. I asked them to give me a new washing machine for free to replace it because of the poor service and the unreliable washing machine. They told me they could give me another washing machine at 40% off, but based on the lack of follow-up and the amount of time that has passed since my initial call, I dont want another Whirlpool product. On July 19, I was forced to buy a new washer. Bought a Frigidaire which, when connected to the water supply, started immediately dumping water into the drum. Sent this defective washer back to the retailer and chose a new Whirlpool. O-M-I-G-O-S-H! It was delivered on 25 July and despite having 4 temperature settings, it only worked on either hot or cold AND you could never tell what temperature was going to be chosen by this computerized wonder. I repeatedly called Customer Support and received three different answers on what temperature was considered warm. The answers ranged from 65 to 102 degrees. Also, you could open the lid when the water was running in, which washers are no longer supposed to do. Whirlpool then arranged for A & D Service to come and repair my NEW washer and scheduled an appointment for a week later. I was forced to call that company to find out if they were even coming. When they did not show as promised, I cancelled the appointment and called Whirlpool to ask for another service company. They then scheduled me for two weeks later (now August 30th). The guy did come and told me there was user error - I had used too much soap as this was an HE washer. I asked him to show me where on the appliance and in the owners manual that it stated the washer was an HE. He couldnt find it either and said he would replace the computer and the door lock because his computer found that the washer was hit and miss on anything it was set on. At any rate, it is a little over a week later and I have heard nothing from the repairman and, of course, no follow-up from Whirlpool. Do not make the mistake of buying any Whirlpool product, and that now encompasses names such as Maytag, Amana, Jenn-Air, Kitchen-Aid and many more if you want to be assured of a quality product and excellent customer service. What if this had been a refrigerator? The whole debacle has been a nightmare. Wish I had bought a GE!

In March 04 2014, I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine. After having had a Whirlpool for 17 years without any problems with it, I purchased another one. This last one is a piece of junk. I dont even want to talk about the noise, I think it is expiring or on its last leg. They should fire the engineers that invented this model and bring back the other engineers that invented the one I had for such a long time, they far surpassed these space scientists that they now have. On August 8, I called Whirlpool, they sent me someone from Dinos appliances. This man tells me that there is nothing wrong with this machine and that he re-calibrated it. Whatever that means, it is still not wringing the clothes properly. There are only 2 people in my household, so my loads are not very large. I even tried this Drain & Spin cycle after the wash was completed and the clothes still came out too wet. I also have a Whirlpool Dryer and I will not replace it with the same brand. I also will never buy a Whirlpool product again and will make sure that I will share my experience with everyone I know.

We purchased our new home in February of 2012 and found a good deal on a 6 appliance package from a local dealer (not box store). In these four years, had to replace igniter in gas range oven. Weve had 3 repair visits for the fridge, dead ice-maker, temperature imbalance freezing vegetables, meat drawer constantly falling off tracks, door shelf rails fall off and all shelf contents fall to floor. Dishwasher rinse dispenser has never functioned, never empties. Technician claims it is working as designed. Washing machine - 3 separate service calls. We finally decided to buy a different brand last year. Only the dryer and microwave have have performed as expected with no service calls. The package deal saved us about $500 but in just 4 years we have spent over $1000 (including $400 to buy a new washing machine). VERY disappointed in this brand.

The representative assured us that we were valued customers and offered to contact our local service provider and authorize the needed repairs to our refrigerator. This interaction has restored our faith in Whirlpool and its partner brands. The representative also provided guidance on future purchases in contacting Whirlpool to purchase its extended warranty.I would suggest using Whirlpools warranty program instead of a retailers program. I am so unhappy with my Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer. The clothes get so tangled and twisted that it stretches my sweaters totally out of shape. There is not enough water on any of the cycles that really clean your clothes. I saved my money so I could get something energy efficient and look great in my new laundry room. I would never recommend this product. Your sheets will not come clean because they ball up in the middle of the washer and come out partly dry. I have had this set for 3 years and now the bearing is gone; it leaks from the bottom and throws grease all over my new floor. I have battled the horrible odor since the second month. It smells so bad that I make sure I dont wash the day I have guest over. I am so disappointed and mad at myself for not reading any reviews before I spent my hard earned money. So here I am now 3 years into my ownership and having to spend more money on a defective product. The sad part is that I really thought I was getting something nice that would last me and my husband for years. There are only two of us in our household. This machine does not work properly; now it is broken, but hey it really looks good.

We purchased a Whirlpool dryer about two years ago. Unfortunately I havent had the time to compose a letter stating my dis-satisfaction until now. After much research and haggling we decided on the Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum model, a very efficient (we thought), and even attractive model. It has proven to cost us much more than we bargained for, as EVERY time I do a dark wash, which is usually two to three times a week I must re-wash the items once or twice after! All of the items come out of the wash with white spots all over. Thinking it is soap, I run the wash again on a rinse cycle: nothing changes. Then I redo the wash - this time not using soap. The result is a bit better, but I still have to take a wet washcloth and rub the areas out.I did voice a complaint one time to which I received a letter stating that I should read my manual, specifically the troubleshooting guide. I dont have time for this. Again, we purchased this machine for its cost and efficiency, yet its ending up costing much more than it should as for every load I do (of dark clothes), I have to do one or two additional. (No telling what is on the light or white clothes that I cannot see because of their color!) This machine has been a total waste of time and money; I will never purchase another Whirlpool machine as I am extremely dissatisfied with this product.

Our slide in range had a burned out element. After waiting a week for the part the range still did not heat. The real problem was the control panel at a cost of $300 plus labor. We were so discussed with the problem we purchased a different brand range. Who should be purchasing a new range after 18 months???? Cost of service call twice, part cost of element, and new range all total another $600.00. Do not purchase this product!!!

As a rule, everything I put in it comes out spotless, but I know it is more a function of the detergent than the washer itself. Has nice features but the digital system does not allow you to turn a knob and go to a particular function like the older one, I miss that. Its a standard under the counter dishwasher, plain white with a nice, attractive operating panel with small LED indicators. NEVER put any vinyl, 45 or 78 record into a dishwasher!!! It will dissolve the labels, and if its made of acetate (home recordings) it will destroy it.

Whirlpool Upright Freezer Model EV205NXTN01 – The freezer door interior plastic panel bows away from freezer cabinet causing door gasket not to seal. The new gasket doesnt help since the groove of the gasket mounts in bows outward with the interior plastic panel in the door. The freezer is 20 months old now and had the door replaced for the same reason at 10 months old. Now, Whirlpool says sorry it’s out of warranty. Guess they want me to buy a new door every year. I wont be buying Whirlpool products anymore as I dont need another boat anchor.
