WARNING: Do not get the warranty plan through Whirlpool if you have stackable washer and dryer, you will have to remove the dryer yourself before they come out to service your appliances. I was willing to pay extra to have them take it down, the contractor said I had to call the extended plan service, yet 6 telephone numbers later to include the complaints department to no avail... Whirlpool contracts out so get your own and you may save a few dollars!

Avoid Whirlpool refrigerators and dishwashers. Fridge sounds like someone’s trying to get out. Repair person said it’s icemaker and typical. Dishwasher has little friction gaskets that keeps the door from falling open. They’ve been replaced twice and found one on floor today. Plastic end of slider for upper shelf keeps falling off repairman replaced it showed me how to put it back on. This falls off regularly. Range has coils underliner of oven. Takes forever to preheat and self cleaner cycle is a joke. Million dollar condo with upgraded crap appliances.

Purchased range 10-26-12. Had 3 service calls first year. 1st time, it started. When service guy came a few months later, same problem. A new igniter was installed. 3rd time, another igniter was installed. My year warranty had run out but still had same problem. Asked for a new range, was rejected. Im afraid if burner is lit, had we try to start oven we are going to have explosion.

Needed a washer right away and have had Whirlpool before. Simple & easy to use. Not confusing to the average person or teenager for that matter. Reliability from Whirlpool is excellent. I have had many products from them and have enjoyed them all. They have been quite reliable over the last 9 years. They are out of date but they work. Not a lot of bells and whistles but still nice. They are both full size and have enough options for me. I am still happy with the pair and would purchase again if needed in the future. Price was good at the time as I cannot see spending $1K on them. Not always the more expensive is a good idea either.

Purchased in Nov. 2013, by March 2014 noticed water leak on floor, after 8 service calls in 3 months it was deemed unrepairable By Whirlpool. Got a new fridge in June 2015, no cost to us, but have had 2 service calls already for the same problem. The first leak damaged our kitchen floor, and the ceramic tile that we have is no longer made so we have had to file an insurance claim on our homeowners to pay for repairs. I would never buy any Whirlpool product again, or buy from the local company we bought the original fridge from.

We did our research and wanted to buy a new washer and dryer with a trusted brand that would last. Our previous washer and dryer (different brand) lasted almost 20 years. Our new Whirlpool Duet HE Front Load washer only lasted about 2 years. The washer started making a terribly loud noise when spinning. We had a repair guy come out to evaluate the problem and provide an estimate for repairs. He said the drum, bearings, and truing was all one unit and the repairs would cost more than the washer. The factory warranty is only a year. BIG disappointment in Whirlpool.

I was pleased with the look and performance on my dishwasher. It did sometimes leave some food particles, but, overall it did a good job. I really dont remember the model since it has been a few years since I had it.

We bought the over-the-range Whirlpool microwave, model #WMH53520AH-1, about four years ago from Pacific Appliance Sales Kitchen and Home inside a Best Buy store in San Diego. The Magnetron and Diode have malfunctioned and been replaced. Now the plastic around the door is falling apart, cracking, and splitting. This is unacceptable, poor craftsmanship, and low quality for the price of this Whirlpool appliance. This needs to be reported to the company and properly addressed. Until then, were staying away from any Whirlpool related products. We also own Cabrio W/D. The washing machine has had problems from year one. Im submitting a separate review for this appliance. Consumer beware!

We bought a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator in July of 2018 and it has gone out twice (quit cooling and has completely frozen over). The first time it went out at 6 months and the second was two days after the factory warranty expired (the warranty for the Whirlpool repair company lasted only 90 days for parts and labor which is useless). I’ve called the company to come take a look and it will cost over $100 just to have someone come out since we are outside the factory warranty window by four whole days. I was basically told there is nothing they will do even though the same problem keeps happening. This refrigerator was brand new and didn’t even make it six months.Now we will need to either pay hundreds of dollars for repairs (knowing that the issue will likely happen again) or buy a new refrigerator. Even though we have barely had this appliance a year. I will never, ever buy Whirlpool products ever again. I also posted my negative rev on their official website and it never got published. They only show their 4-5 star reviews (all of which say the customer has been incentivized in some way). This is a misleading and sneaky process.

Just bought a Whirlpool stove (WFE540H0ES) from Home Depot. Oven gave off so much heat around the handle that I burned myself opening the door... Tech came out said it wasnt supposed to do that. Called into Whirlpool to get clearance for a replacement and corporate says no to the replacement because that is normal. Thats BS! If that is normal DONT BUY A WHIRLPOOL!! BTW... They are owned by Maytag.

I bought a Whirlpool fridge in 2014 and started having problems a year later. It was making really loud noises and the fridge part wasnt working. All the food was warm. Of course there is no warranty on it after one year. I called a repairman and he said that the doors dont seal properly so the warm air is getting in causing condensation which freezes the engine/fan which is the cause of the loud noise. The reason why the upper fridge is warm is because the fan pushes the cold air up from the freezer, which of course wasnt working. Then I noticed that the frame at the bottom of the fridge is bending causing the freezer not to seal properly which would be the reason for warm air getting inside the fridge.

Cabrio Washer and dryer are about 3 years old. With washer a residue is left on clothes and require an extra rinse, sometimes 2. Also, clothes become unbalanced and I have to rearrange clothes, sometimes more than once. Washer doesnt go through rinse cycle on own, I have to manually make it rinse and spin. Both washer and dryer have rust on the tops and the writing is fading.

We had purchased Whirlpool Side Kick Refrigerator/Freezer 8 years ago for our new home and had custom cabinetry built to fit around them. Once we moved in we were CONSTANTLY calling for repairs on one or the other. They fix it then the other goes out. They fix it then the other goes out. After 7 years of this we finally said, lets get a new set. We bought the same product because once again the cabinetry is built around these. We were 8 months into having new ones and the refrigerator went out. They came out to repair it. That is a joke in itself because you dont have much to choose from since its under warranty and they dont have anyone in the area to come out. Finally when they come out and fix it now our freezer is out and a repairman is due to come out tomorrow. We WILL NOT buy ANY product of Whirlpool and DO NOT recommend their products!!! VERY unhappy especially since these purchased together are well over $3000+!!!

Easy to operate. Easy clean feature is thorough. Glass top is easy to clean as well. Even temps cook the food well and this oven is reliable. Lots of options of temperature. Glad we chose this brand.

My wife and I purchased a new Whirlpool gas range (Model#WEG745H0FS0) almost 2 years ago. Woke up one night to the smell of heat and the oven had come on! Thank God we were home. Very dangerous! Repair is going to be expensive! Havent used the oven portion in about 3 months now. And Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Our Whirlpool is 8 years old and - knock on wood - it has been very dependable. It has enough settings to take care of the range of our dirty clothes. It is a front loader and I like that type - it gets the clothes clean in cold water.

After 3 short years, my dryer that cost me over $900 is not working and the part needed for the repair is no longer being manufactured. They did offer the parts for free, but that was useless since they arent available. They then offered me a new dryer which would cost me $800. I am currently waiting for the Product Exchange Team to contact me. Im not hopeful that will be of any use.

What a disaster! Within one year we had to repair the stove twice, the dishwasher and the fridge! Almost three years later, we are experiencing problems with two burners and with the fridge! The company does not stand behind its products. Avoid them.

I have had a lot of washing machines in my life and trusted that Whirlpool would have good products. Well, with this top-loader, I couldnt be more wrong! I have never had a machine that just sloshes clothes around - at best - leaving them just as dirty! Our water bill has greatly increased on top of that - I AM SO VERY DISAPPOINTED! Unfortunately I cant return the bad merchandise since I bought at a Scratch and Dent store (just a dent on the outside does not interfere with performance...).

I got a BRAND NEW Whirlpool from Habitat for Humanity. I registered it as a new product and was told it came from Lowes. Habitat only warranted it for 30 days but when it went out in 60 days, I called on the warranty. They sent out a repairman who said it was unfixable and after 2 weeks waiting to hear from them, Whirlpool said they would not honor the warranty because the serviceman said it had been dropped. I am a disabled senior citizen, I guarantee you I couldnt lift it long enough to drop it. Habitat said they didnt drop it and so did Lowes. Meanwhile, Whirlpool had the nerve to send me an extended warranty for the same refrigerator that they wouldnt honor the original warranty and they treated me like I was just trying to cheat them or something. The only thing I can do now is put it out in my driveway with a big sign on it to warn others NOT to buy Whirlpool products. Big deal.

I bought fridge model WRS571CIDm02. The worse company in the world. Since I bought this fridge have a consistent problem with the evaporator fan. It makes noise. Geek Squad came 3 time in 3 years to replace the same part. Now the 4th time I ran out of warranty and Whirlpool dont care. On top of that the stainless steel is rusting. It is not stainless steel. It is a nightmare. Avoid at all cost. If there is zero I would give it to them.

I bought a 40 gal. Whirlpool water heater from Lowes. It was just outside the 6-year warranty when the pilot light went out and wont relight. I called Whirlpool. They are about as worthless as box of rocks. They refuse to replace the thermocoupling free of charge or at least no shipping charge, when they know in fact there is a problem. It was because no class action lawsuit was filed. Its too bad for the customers. I wished they would have just said: “lady, please take your business somewhere else.” It would have made things easier. Or, better yet, they should just put a sign on their water heaters in the store stating: “If you have problems with our product, sorry about your luck. ** you and have a nice day.”

I had the junky gas water heater for two years and cant keep the thing lit. Calling Whirlpool does no good. They give you the runaround; the store cant do anything. They know they have a faulty product and keep selling it. Some companies are only out for the money. If that wasnt the case, they would discontinue the junk. They will send you replacement parts but if you know nothing about them, you have to put out more money for someone to come and fix it. I would love to send them the bill! I would not recommend this brand of anything to anyone.

Model # WRF990SLAM00 Ser# K23919328 - It should be possible to rate this piece of junk zero stars!! Purchased on Feb 2013, it is driving me and my wife insane. It is noisy compressor wise all the time (Our kitchen and living room in the townhouse are one room). The problems started after the hurricane in 2016 killed our power for three days. I had to shut the refrigerator down to manually defrost the freezer section because the fan on the fan-coil was hitting a huge accumulation of ice. Then the weird blackouts started approx once per month where the panel light as well as the interior lights went on and off every minute with that dreadful BEEP. This went on for over 24 hrs and made living in the same room HELL. The beep and three clicks happen every minute and the cooling is none. Whirlpool service came ($80.00) just to look at it and will come back with the rest of the bill which probably will be astronomical. I feel cheated big time!! Minute and the cooling has worsened big time. Whirlpool service came ($ 80.00) just to look at it and stated it needs a new computer board as well as a new front panel on the left door.

I have always used Whirlpool products and have grown up with them. From washing machines to dishwashers. Not only is it made in the USA but its reliable. The only problem is space and it can do with more freezer space. Other than that its a great refrigerator.

My $700 Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine just broke after only 16 months of having it. The error code that comes up is f 51. With some research, I found that these machines are notorious for breaking down just after warranty with an f 1 code for older machines and an f 51 code for newer machines. Whirlpool is well aware of the breakdowns and the defect inherent in these machines and still sells them with no warning or no recall to fix the problem. I contacted the company and they refused to fix it for free and I understand the fix will now cost me another $300 to $400! What a scam! I will never buy Whirlpool or any of their other products again!

We purchased the 36 inch Wide 4 Door Refrigerator with Exterior Drawer about three years ago and it broke down twice in that time frame. Then yesterday the freezer part and ice maker have stopped working AGAIN!! We probably have spent $2000 on repairs. Complete disaster of a fridge!! Do not purchase one!!

This dishwasher is noisy, it does not get the dishes clean, and anything that is remotely lightweight gets thrown all over. This must be one of Whirlpools cheapest models as I have had other Whirlpool products and they were fine.

I replaced our old Whirlpool washer that we had for 10 years with a new Whirlpool high-efficiency front load washer in August 2020 - it quit working on December 11, 2020. Got a repair person through Whirlpool on December 22nd who said I need a new motherboard. Purchased Whirlpool free standing smooth top range at Sears Outlet (scratch & dent) in Columbus, OH on December 8, 2012 for a rental property. On May 18, 2014, tenant said she turned the oven on to preheat and turned on one of the front burners. She said she was at the sink preparing food and heard a loud noise; turned around and there were flames coming from the top of the stove. This didnt sound logical so I called fire department and spoke with one of the firemen. He said there was no evidence of anything in the oven or on top of the stove. Tenant said only thing she noticed is that there was a clicking noise coming from the stove a few days prior. After reading all of these complaints, I dont think I will buy another smooth top Whirlpool electric range. Luckily no one was hurt.

Model WMH1164XWS-3 Microwave - I purchased a brand new home in 2012 with all stainless appliances, within 3-5 months the outside door handle where it attaches at top and bottom of microwave has chipped, so that the screws are shown. I havent had the time to look up the replacement part until just now. Very disappointed in the amount of money a handle only cost.

Whirlpool anode rod went bad in 2 months. Called Whirlpool, would not stand behind warranty. Had previous hot water tank (not a Whirlpool) in for 10 years with same well and water conditions. Also noticed Whirlpool hot water tank is not nearly as efficient on energy use. Overall, this is a very poor water heater and even worse customer service to not replace a part that was under warranty.

It was about 6 years after purchase that the ice maker completely quit making ice. To change the filter you have to get down on your hands and knees to do so. If youre elderly, this can cause a problem. Overall, it was a good refrigerator.

I shouldve read the reviews online about Whirlpool before buying our washer and dryer Duet. 4 years later the main bearing is going out and its 1200 to fix it. No support from them or anything. They did offer a loyalty discount on a new washer... No thanks. Just would be another headache a few years down the road Im sure. Goodbye Whirlpool. We purchased the Whirlpool Gold Gas Range (model #GW399LXUQ06) in November 2011. Last week, I noticed the porcelain enamel finish on the stove top grates has fallen off in pieces. I contacted Whirlpool today, February 14, 2012, about this issue and they advised me it is a cosmetic problem which is not covered under the warranty. They advised me that it would cost over $100 per grate to replace. We have had this stove for less than three months and I feel these grates are defective and Whirlpool should be responsible for replacing them. I am very dissatisfied with this stove.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio in 2009. It worked so-so over the years but recently stopped completing cycles, citing false load balance errors and leaving towels and sheets sopping wet at the end of a cycle. Three repair appointments later, and still no success. I am thoroughly disgusted that such an expensive machine only lasts four years. I purchased a Whirlpool accubake oven in 2010. The repairman has been out to repair it 5 times. Thats right 5 times. It wont maintain the baking temperature. They have changed the mother board, the ignition switch, the harness, and the thermostat. Every time the repairman leaves it works and then I go to bake something and it doesnt. Once it reaches 350 degrees the oven cuts off. You can hear it trying to ignite but its like the fire doesnt catch. I have to shut it off, press bake and heat it up all over again. This is so annoying. Bad thing is I like the look of the oven but clearly this is a shotty product. I will never buy a Whirlpool again.

I recently purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and it is the worst product ever!! It does not wash the clothes, it tangles it in knots and has ruined all of my clothes because it leaves holes in the clothing. I have had multiple service calls and all of the diagnostics check out. It is a horrible product that should be recalled and Whirlpool customer service does not stand by their product. I bought this washer less than 2 months ago and I am devastated to say the least as they are not even remotely cheap. Appears that is doesnt come close to using enough water or enough agitation to get even 2 pieces of clothing clean. What good is 5.8cu (largest size tub) if you cant even wash a load sized for non HE washer. I am forced to wash a 1/4 of the amount of clothing now vs my previous standard washer, if I even want half cleaned clothing. I have tried every cycle with no difference.Doesnt use enough water but appears to spend most of the cycle time, filling with water. I know that sounds contradictory, but there isnt really any other way to explain it. Might as well not even have an (agitator), I use that word lightly here, as it does nothing to help clean the clothing inside. Pre-programmed cycles are not enough to do what you need it to do. Because of the pre-programmed cycles, unable to place clothing inside, fill with water, agitate a little and then stop or pause long enough to let contents soak for a while. I really miss being able to do this with my previous Whirlpool washer.It doesnt matter how little or how much detergent you use, the results are always the same, clothing comes out partially dry and dirty. Usually requires 2 or more wash cycles to remotely obtain clean items. Most items never even go under the water, no matter how much water it decides to fill with. I am so disappointed with Whirlpool with this fiasco they call a washer, with their name on it and they should be also. I have never owned any other brand than Whirlpool, so I didnt hesitate to buy this set, as I had wanted them for several years and finally made the decision to purchase and what a mistake this was. Will never make this mistake again. Whirlpool needs to correct this for every customer that has purchased these washers or risk ruining their reputation.

Bought the model before this just over 2 years. Conveniently it broke just after the warranty expired. I chose not to buy a extended warranty as my last fridge from KitchenAid is over 20 years old and never had a single problem with and still operates like NEW. I can’t say that for my Whirlpool which was very expensive. It has been with an issue within the ice maker for over 8 months. Every computer board has been replaced twice with no fix. Then tried to replace the cooling fan within the ice maker unit seven times. Whirlpool could not find the right part, as the wiring had changed mid model and have no record of when it was changed and what models affected.Certified Whirlpool technician was great and so apologetic. I had taken 7 Mondays off to meet him to only have the wrong part time and time again. Whirlpool support tech line basically said he was wrong, yet I witnessed all visits and my 3 plug fan unit did not match Whirlpools newer part that was 2 plugs. I was not happy missing so much work because Whirlpool is incompetent. Finally my tech ordered a whole new ice maker, including the cooling fan. Lo and behold, Eighth time, parts did not match. He again called Whirlpool tech support and reordered another set one final time. Another Monday to find that this time the parts did fit, but cooling fan still did not work. He called Whirlpool tech support again. They started to trace wires one by one.Whirlpool tech support said it was a bad or broken wire somewhere in the cavity of the fridge buried in insulation and was not replaceable. In other words I have a $3000+ refrigerator that is useless. Whirlpool said they would replace the unit. But when I called, they said since I didnt have an extended warranty, they would prorate it and it’s going to cost me over $1000 of my money to to replace due to a manufacturer wiring defect after only 2 years. What the Heck, I was willing to pay to fix it, but Whirlpool can’t fix it. Don’t buy a Whirlpool product as they are Junk and do not stand behind their BRAND!!! No matter who I talked to, they kept falling back to their word track of it’s my fault I didn’t get an expensive extended warranty, yet they can’t fix a wire they installed incorrectly.Wires don’t just break after 2 years. You get longer warranties for cars for the Love of God. Brand new Whirlpool dishwasher letting steam out ruining cabinets. Whirlpool admitted this has happened before. ** sent 3 different service repair companies to my house and all 3 told me the parts they recommended from Whirlpool was not going to fix problem. They finally after 3 different repairmen agreed to refund dishwasher. I requested they hire someone to give estimate on my kitchen cabinets. It was their product that done damage and I live in rural area and no one wants the job of restaining. If the cabinet is replaced it is expensive. Granite counters have to be removed and placed back, sink etc. I requested 3000.00 or Whirlpool send someone to give estimate. This has been dragging on for 2 months and still cant use dishwasher. Is that too much to ask for? This has been a nightmare and Whirlpool should be embarrassed. So many emails and messages and most of the time they are unreturned

I purchased a top load Whirlpool Washer and Dryer in April 2021. When it was installed I commented about how noisy it was. I was told it was because it was empty, but it will be much quieter once you put in a load of laundry. That did not make any difference. I called Whirlpool customer service and explained I had just purchased it less than a week ago and it appeared to be very noisy. I was told they could send someone out, but if they determined there was not a problem I would be charged a service call. I said the machine is not even a week old why would I be charged a service call shouldnt this be a warranty issue. Again I was told there would be a service call charge.I am completely baffled at the customer service response. This is the first and only time I called. I contacted the store where I purchased both the washer and dryer and was told it should not be that loud, this is the first time anyone has complained about the noise level and there should not be charge. Whirlpool has terrible customer service and I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product again because of the customer service. I have purchased numerous appliances in my lifetime and have never been treated so poorly. If I could return both the washer and dryer I would not hesitate. I would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone.

In addition to that I find the HE rating a joke as it takes 2+ hours to run a load of whites despite it saying on the read out that it will be 1 hour and 4 minutes, it literally tears up my clothes. I have now gone through 3 sets of sheets, 4 towels, 5 baby onesies... How can a washer that doesnt have an agitator cause holes and shredding in a garment? I honestly dont know what to do anymore. It takes two days to do the wash for 2 people when I could get it done in hours with my old machine. And to think I spent close to $900 on this washer makes me sick! I want to go back to my old agitator type washer from Maytag!

After 7 attempts to fix my 6-year-old Whirlpool Front Load Washer (original price $991.00) I had to trash it. Then I stupidly bought another Whirlpool Front Loader (WFW75HEFW) Feb 2017. It has not worked properly since day 1. The clothes come out dripping wet. At first I thought I was doing something wrong. I tried every cycle, limited amount of clothing and ran additional spin cycles to no avail. Finally I gave up and called for service.Whirlpool is very much aware that a number of their machines came off the line with defective spin bearings but they wont admit to it. Instead I am expected to have it repaired! It involves the entire inside of the machine being rebuilt. Its a 2 man job that will take 3-4 hours.This is totally unacceptable and it is obvious Whirlpool does not make a quality product nor do they value customer satisfaction. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE A WHIRLPOOL WASHER. They are difficult to work with and I for one will never purchase or recommend any of their products. I purchased this washer from Home Depot and now my only hope is that they will honor my intention of purchasing a non-defective product. If not, I guess Im in for another miserable experience with a Whirlpool product.

We had the Whirlpool electric range delivered yesterday. The clock light is too bright! Keeps the house lit all night! Do I really need to pay the cost of burning this? Additionally, it’s so annoying that we will not be keeping the range. If I needed a nightlight, I would buy one. Very poor design. The lights on the other appliances go out when not in use, one would think the range would have been designed to do so as well. I have NEVER had a problem with a stove light being too bright. Whirlpool Water Heater FG1F4040S3NOV - I had this water heater installed in 2005 by a professional plumber and every year since like clockwork, I have to replace the gas control valve/thermostat. Last year, Sears came and did the work and made their arrangements to have the part replaced. This year 2012, March 9 my gas control valve went again. The unit is not even a year old and broke again. Unfortunately, the six-year warranty is up on the hot water tank. I called Whirlpool two times. The first time, the guy told me that the warranty was up and hung up on me! The second time, the guy would not honor the replacing of a part that is not even a year old yet. The money I spent over the six years making repair on it, I could have bought a new one. This company is nothing but a bunch of **. Is there anything that I can do? I have paid to replace this five years in a row.

Sixteen months after I bought the Cabrio washer (model # WTW7800XWO), the F1 error light came on. I had to replace the electronic panel on the machine for $400. Whirlpool refused to replace it even though they have been replacing this panel for others. This is a common problem with the Cabrio washer.

I call them. Lowe's gave me #. Spoke to man there at CS. He took care of me. I was a Lowe's within 30 mins. Gave them PO. Home within 45 mins. Whirlpool you the best in Johnson city TN. You're just like Lowe's. I pay for Whirlpool because you make it. Thanks for all you do. The best. #1.

Leaks water on bottom. Door seal dont go far to under door, is from manufacturing defect, is water overflow or is something else. Dishes washer is about 10 years older. Very real disappointed and wont buy this brand again on dishwashers.

As you have heard from 700 other people we bought a whirlpool refrigerator because GE sucks, brand new refrigerator died in 4 years with 4 service bill costing more than the refrigerator. So we did some research and whirlpool was being recommended by several stores and the reviews were better than most. Well we bought the Whirlpool refrigerator and it has been nothing but problems from the start. Everything that can go wrong has and of course our warranty ran out. And we are sitting here with no water, no ice, water tray falls out and breaks. Called whirlpool many times and their answer every time is, we will send someone out for you, and then we get a 300 to 400 dollar bill. Whirlpool sucks as bad as GE. Its crazy these companies get away with this crap. They can build good refrigerators they have in the past. My grandparents have one for 25+ years, now you cant get 2 years out of them. Pure Junk! I dont know what a good brand is anymore, they all seem to suck. Good luck.

After seven long years of one issue after another, about once a year replacing one part after another, draining the unit to replace parts, waking up to cold water, I finally gave up and replaced this Whirlpool water heater, model model # FD1H4040T3ENOV unit. Never to buy a Whirlpool unit again. Thanks for the memories.

Do not buy Whirlpool or Maytag appliances. They do not stand by their products. We have purchased 2 washing machines in the past 8 years. Both of them quit or broke almost as fast as we got them. The customer service agents were pleasant, but they would not help us at all. The machine we purchased has a design flaw that they will not acknowledge. They have been contacted by us several times and cant fix the problem. They need to correct a design flaw that is in all their machines.All of our clothes get encircled around the agitator and the machine gets off balance. We have to untangle our clothes from the agitator and pull them apart by hand. They make bad products, including a Whirlpool refrigerator that broke within a month of us buying it. They care about selling these crappy machines. Buy a GE, Bosch or LG. You will get a machine that works properly as soon as you hook it up. We have had their representative out several times to our house and they could not repair it. The repair techs have told us that Maytag and Whirlpool clothes washers are no good.

Bought a new oven for my new kitchen. Two weeks after install, I had to have it repaired. Less than 6 mos. later, it is being repaired again, for the same problem. Whirlpools policy is to fix it till the warranty runs out, then not their problem. Buyer beware, and if you do buy, make sure you get the extended warranty.

French Door model WRF989SEAE01 - Fridge runs very loud after 3 weeks. Ice build up inside of fridge - back left. After numerous repairs, dealer replaced unit with new. Three weeks, loud noise again. After 7 months, the ice maker has quit, the freezer is thawing items, the fridge part is not cold enough (all settings have been boosted). Now Im concerned it is going to completely fail or burn our new house down. All new Whirlpool appliances in new home and this thing is proving to be extremely unreliable. Dealer is now out of loop (gave up) and told us to deal directly with Whirlpool. After 2 units and same issues, it has to be a design flaw.Can anyone start to move on a class action lawsuit or do I wait until it blows up or burns down the house? We are of retirement age, no kids, and our appliances have had NO ABUSE. Another acquaintance has same fridge about 2 years old and it has completely quit.

Im 70 years old and always bought Whirlpool washing machines. My last one I bought at Lowes and it is the most Ive ever paid for a washer and its the worst Ive ever owned! Dont waste your money! Hard to get clothes balanced and it slams and bams like the old 1970 washing machines! Horrible!!!

Where to begin? I bought Whirlpool Duet Front-Load Washing Machine about 11 months ago after my top load bearing went bad and start making a lot of noise after 8-9 years. 4 months ago (6 months from purchase) it started to act strange; washing machine will not unlock after a cycle, start throwing F3E1 error. Thats when I first called their support service. Their service technicians are very nice actually. They seem to be local small appliance shop, contacted out by Whirlpool, from my guess. Initial visit was to inform me that Im using WAY too much soap, while I was only using well below what was recommended by Whirlpool manual. RED FLAG #1. Technicians told me to stop using too much soap or start using POD. Also to flush my washing machine with 2 cups of white vinegar in hot cycle every few weeks. Ive changed my soap to Tide POD and starting flushing my washing machine immediately after he left my house. It was running OK, but I still saw F3E1 error at the end of every other cycle, until... thing went really bad one day, it simply stopped responding any command while clothes was still in the washing machine. I unplugged power cable and plug it back, it hums for 10 mins and in the end it was the same result. After several attempt, it finally unlocked itself, thus I could wash my clothes at my parents house. This is when I called support service 2nd time. The same technician came and this time, I had video recording of everything. He could not dismiss this with simple soap theory, so he opens up the washing machine and tells me that its due to bad control board. He proceeds to order new control board, which took a few weeks. New technician comes back with new control board and installs, runs a few test command (not full cycle) and leaves. During this whole time, Im left with no washing machine at home. Good thing I travel sometimes and laundry is done remotely sometimes. This repair didnt improve the situation much. I called them back for another appointment. Another technician comes back and tells me that Whirlpool sent back BAD control board. Now, Im really suspecting their product is really piece of **. At least at this point, I was still happy with their service. He leaves my house claiming that they will order new control board and re-install.A few days later, I receive a call from a lady, claiming that Whirlpool has instructed them to ask me to use different outlet, since they believe my outlet is causing issues. Now Im really pissed. Coming from electrical engineering background, I know theres always any chance, but they should double check this with their own technicians. Anyways, I perform their recommendation, which I knew was a shot in the dark. During this whole ordeal, Im working on a project that are out of state (CA). Not only do I have time to stay home for all these service visits, but Im not even home to test my washing machine. During one of the holiday, I was able to take a few days off. This is when I decided to take different approach. I went to the retailer, whom I purchased my washing machine from. They were also nice, but theres so much they can do.I called Whirlpool direct line to explain my situation, how unhappy I was, and to replace my washing machine. Their response was by the book: We can only execute our warranty policy and replacement is not part of warranty. The representative specialist had enough nerve to ask me why I have not called back in several weeks and continue to repeat it as if its my problem for not reporting back. I had spent 2 months of supports and 4 site visits, where I had to reschedule my work or take a day off, before travelling for projects after holiday seasons. This representative really took customer service to next level of hell. In the end Im without properly functioning washing machine for 4 months. I have to coordinate with my parents to use their washing machine when Im back home. My advice, you should really think 3 times before buying Whirlpool washing machine or any other appliance. Also consider that youre on your own, when their product malfunctions, and youll be sitting on dead appliances.

Whirlpool Duet Washer Trouble. Im having the same issue as Tom in Oakville. The F35-Sud errors pointed to the pressure sensor - NOT. 2 parts, a technician visit, and $800 later, Im still waiting on a Main Board replacement that is on nationwide back order. Time frame unknown.

We moved to a new house Nov. of 2012 and I went to Lowes to buy a new refrigerator. The last refrigerator we bought was a Maytag. It was a LEMON and probably had every part replaced because we had the warranty. At Lowes I thought the Whirlpool Refrigerator would be a good choice. We didnt purchase the warranty, big mistake. After only 4 YEARS, the refrigerator is DEAD, not in working order and would too expensive to fix says our reliable repair serviceman.

I had sold appliance for ten years. I purchase a Whirlpool Cabrio 2010. After two years started rusting. It is rusting on the outside and now on the inside, that I cannot wash delicates or whites. I so disappointed. I had lots of confidence in Whirlpool. The model is wtw7300xwo... I call talk to whirlpool but got no help. Now I going to need to purchase a new washer. It will not be a Whirlpool.

Since purchasing original refrigerator 2 years ago I have multiple problems. Freezer was icing up to the point where drawers could not be opened, after numerous service calls, door was replaced which did not resolve problem. Refrigerator was replaced on warranty. Soon after light control circuit board had to be replaced. Next light control had to be recalibrated. Now, with the unit being approx. 1 yr old, rust spots are appearing on freezer door. Whirlpool rep advised this problem is not covered on warranty and would not provide any information as to what company contacts could be used to pursue the issue. Very upset and disappointed with product and customer service.

It was in the house when we bought. I find location of knobs stove top, are too easily turned on. It is ok for now, but I am not a big fan of this stove. Builders buy a base grade appliances for profit in their spec homes to keep them. I will replace this one.

In March of 2013, I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator; model number WRF990SLAM00 from Lowes. About two weeks after my manufacturers warranty expired, I called Whirlpool because the refrigerator wasnt working anymore. It took several weeks and the need to call four different repair companies before we finally had one that was willing and able to come attempt to repair the refrigerator. They came out, changed a few parts and left. Several weeks later, the refrigerator quit again. This time, when I called whirlpool (about June 2014), I was able to convince them to give me an extended warranty. They told me that the warranty would expire in December, and that all the work and service would be covered up to that date. This was fortunate because that repair, parts alone, was near a thousand dollars. Of course, the repair company couldnt make these repairs in my kitchen, so they had to remove the refrigerator and take it to their shop for several days. By this point, we had lost two refrigerators full of food. In mid-November 2014, the refrigerator quit again. We lost another refrigerator full of food. We called Whirlpool and the repair company again, and the repair was scheduled. I have six children and we spent Thanksgiving without a refrigerator in our home. The repair shop kept the refrigerator for several days after they fixed it to make sure it wouldnt leak coolant, because by this time, they had figured out that there were several pin hole sized leaks in the coolant line. It didnt leak. They had it for about four weeks total before they brought it back to us. By the next morning after having the refrigerator plugged in for several hours in our kitchen, the temp was at 65 degrees in the refrigerator and 60 in the freezer. I called the repair company again and whirlpool. The repair company has come to the conclusion that there must be a leak in the coolant line in the walls of the refrigerator and it is deemed unrepairable. They called the whirlpool tech line and the tech people told them to come back to our house and read the pressures the next day. They came out, read the pressures, determined that coolant had leaked out and told the tech department it was not repairable. The tech department told them to go through the entire cooling system again. This is something they have done several times. Today, they brought the refrigerator back after going through the entire cooling system, yet again. Its still not working. As I type this, my refrigerator is at a balmy 55 degrees. The repair company and I have both, on numerous occasions requested a replacement refrigerator. This was a very high end purchase for us. The original cost of the refrigerator was around $3,000. I have lost around $1500 worth of food, which Ive also requested on numerous occasions for Whirlpool to reimburse and they refuse. Whirlpool refuses to replace the refrigerator. Today, I found out that, by mistake, they gave me a one year extended warranty instead of six months. They said that it does not expire until June 19, 2015. Even with this information, they told me that the best offer that they will give me is IF I am willing to EXCHANGE my lemon that is in my kitchen right now, they will SELL me a replacement refrigerator at a discount. They say that the terms of the extended warranty are different than terms of a manufacturers warranty.This is unacceptable. I am currently out several thousand dollars for an over sized filtered water dispenser in my kitchen. Throughout 2014, we spent somewhere between three and four months without a working refrigerator in our home. As of right now, I havent had a working refrigerator for about six weeks and through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. I bought the refrigerator because I thought it would act like a refrigerator and not a paper weight. An Implied Warranty of Merchantability has no expiration date. It requires that the goods be fit for the ordinary purposes for which they are to be used. This refrigerator is not fit to be used.Id also like to mention that during the times that Ive spoken with Whirlpool on the phone, they have told me that they would replace the refrigerator if the repair company deemed it unrepairable. Typically when I call whirlpool, I am on hold for fifteen to thirty minutes before I get to a representative. Today, I was on hold for forty minutes before my call was disconnected. This has happened numerous times. Ive also had representatives disconnect the call several times when they were transferring me to another department, or putting me on hold. I estimate that I have spent at least forty hours on the phone with the customer service department for whirlpool in the last several months. And even, with all that, I have not had a dependable refrigerator for eight months. I need this resolved and I dont feel that it is fair for me to be financially punished because of the lemon that Ive already purchased from Whirlpool.

We bought a new Whirlpool dishwasher with a kitchen reno. It cost over $1000. One month out of warranty the pump died. As this is apparently a common thing with these dishwashers the company sent a new pump, free of charge, but we still had to pay $150 for the install. Now, less than 2 years after purchase, the dishwasher refuses to drain. I wrote to the company, they are not interested. Dont buy Whirlpool, you are only throwing money away.

Bought this machine June 23, 2016. First use, I called Lowes where I purchased it to say there is something wrong as it makes a grinding noise. I was informed that is normal for agitatorless machines. I asked if he could hear the noise, and he said yes, thats it. So I disconnected thinking, Wow, who makes a machine in todays technology that is so loud you think something or someone is in serious pain?! Now am at the point where I want this design in pain out of my house! Going to Lowes today to try and talk rationally for a complete refund so I can purchase an LG or Samsung which is what I should have done originally.

I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator last Summer and so far I’ve had no issues, no probs! I love the energy efficient refrigerator along with its easy settings and options to use a ice maker. Wouldn’t trade my Whirlpool for any other brand!

I had bought from S C Shah & Co, Mylapore a Whirlpool ac 1 ton split magicool dlx cop in March 2016 and installed in March 29 2016 by Cool Control System, kodambakkam From the installation period we had a cooling issue and informed Shah & Co, Mylapore where we bought the ac. They came and checked and informed Whirlpool customer care. Within two months i.e. in May 2016 of installation Whirlpool again uploaded/charged the gas (the service engineers told us this is due to hot summer). Though again we had a cooling issue, we were under the impression as this is due to summer as explained by the technician. After that rainy season came and we didnt use the ac.As we are in December when we complained Whirlpool they said this is due to the copper wire gas is leaking and it has to be replaced and informed that though under WARRANTY, the customer has to pay for replacement (we have used only the 3 mtr copper wire which came with the ac only. we have not used any our own copper wire). Whether WHIRLPOOL GIVES SUCH A QUALITY COPPER WIRE which has to be replaced within 9 months. Now they are informing that you are calling us after 6 months of gas charging, so we cannot service. If you could have called within 3 months we could have serviced you. BUT WE ARE UNDER WARRANTY. NOT EVEN AN YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.Not responding to calls, disconnecting to the calls even if we call their Delhi number 011-49308500. Though under warranty they are not ready to do service and very rude saying, we cant do anything. So, if we buy WHIRLPOOL ac we have to beg them even for their technicians to visit our place. Or we have to do our own service EVEN UNDER WARRANTY. Their local toll free customer care numbers/service executives always give a recorded message saying they cannot service. SUCH A PATHETIC SERVICE.

Amongst all other items listed in these reviews (especially the tangling and twisting of clothes literally into knots), my guess is that is one way to ensure they are drier when they come out, wring them into knots... So now the pizza is slinging grease/oil all over the floor and water is leaking out from the bottom as well to make a perfect conglomeration of ** all over my tile. There is always more than one way to take care of the employees, hire sales people full of **, and technicians who know what the hell to do to fix it, with previous full of ** sales experience so consumers can buy more Whirlpool parts...

I really enjoy the self cleaning option on this unit. It really cleans everything without chemicals and then you just vacuum up the dust. My dislike is the ceramic top though. The top scratches really easily and hard to clean up spills during cooking. Overall I would give this stove a b rating.

The Whirlpool dishwasher is the best I have ever had! The pot scrubber just cleans anything off the dishes! I hate to wash dishes before I put them in the damn dishwasher!

Microwave model WMH73521CS-2: Microwave is approx 2.5 yrs old. This is the 2nd time we have had problems with door open and close msg appearing on display. We had to have door latches replaced once and again are having to have it serviced again. $100 for service to come out again, does not include cost of replacement parts. This seems to be a consistent problem with this model. We are not replacing the parts and are buying a different microwave. Definitely not Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool and was on hold for almost an hour and received no resolution to problem.

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator in 2010, model #ED2KHAXVB01, side by side with ice maker. Fortunately, we purchased a 5-year service contract at the same time because the ice maker has broken twice. Unfortunately, I have had to replace the shelves while still under warranty quite a few times. The sides of these glass shelves are made of poor quality plastic and crack constantly. The drawers are the same way. The refrigerator is no longer under the warranty and Whirlpool wants $109 per shelf. I told them I would pay for replacement shelves only if they could send shelves that were made with better quality materials. Otherwise, I might be spending $1000 per year replacing shelves. The Whirlpool representative told me there is nothing that they can do. I see many people with this problem posting complaints on the internet. Do not buy a Whirlpool refrigerator. I have been married for 37 years and never had to replace one shelf in any refrigerator and still have a 40-year old refrigerator in my basement with no broken shelves!

As I write this, I am on my 5th service call in four months of ownership. The machine runs short cycles and requires us to not only do an extra rinse, each load requires an additional Quick Wash (with extra rinse) to get the detergent out. We use so little detergent that a 75 fl. oz. bottle has lasted four months with over 50% left. The techs Whirlpool sends are great. The call center first level people are fabulous. The supervisor is not helpful proclaiming that it was fixed. However, we still have to re-run the clothes every time.

We owned our Whirlpool Gold refrigerator GS6SHEXNL00 for 23 months when our electronic control board went out resulting in the light and interior temp display to go out. I called Whirlpool and they told me the control board was not under warranty. I subsequently replaced the board at cost of $156. This morning, 7 years from when I bought the fridge, the control board went bad again. Amazon now has a replacement board W10135090 for $67. There are thousands of complaints regarding the Whirlpool electronic control board, which Whirlpool just ignores. This should be a recall item. I will not buy another Whirlpool product.

July 2017 I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator Model # WRF757SDEM00 S/NK51709722. The refrigerator portion went out, the repairman said it was the fan therefore I spent 351.00 dollars for house call and fan. When that did not work the repairman spoke to whirlpool and they said the panel of small computer may go out with it 212.00 plus tax. Did not allow that and tried another repairman who said the value that switches from freezer to refrigerator was out and if I could find someone to fix it would cost between 600 and 800. I went out and bought a Samsung because on the front said 10 year warranty. At least anything is better than 1 year whirlpool offers. There is NOTHING in the name.

We bought a gas hot water heater from Lowes on Dec. 31, 2010. In July 2011, there was no hot water. After much yelling and headaches, Whirlpool agreed to send out a technician to look at it, since I refuse to go in the attic and I will not work on gas appliances. After 7 days with no hot water, they replaced a valve that failed, they said, because our attic was too hot. The old unit never complained. Eight months later out, the unit went again (and we had an attic fan put in). This time, Whirlpool sent out a local plumber (and I paid for the call) though we had a warranty and extended plan with Lowes?! This time I was told no problem it was too windy and it blew out the pilot. Its funny we never noticed the attic being windy even during the hurricanes. Four to 5 months later, well, you guessed it but this time my husband just re-lit it. Then the next time, 5 months later, my brother-in-law did it. That was August to September 2012. See, this morning, there is no hot water. I had to fight with Lowes since we have the 5-year extended plan. I cannot get anyone to explain why it makes sense to them that a 2 1/2 year old hot water heater has to be re-lit every 4-6 months. Then I went online. Now I know why Lowes and Whirlpool are ignoring the issue. So, anyone know a good lawyer or what are they doing to get satisfaction?

I have owned an Accubake gas range since April 2012. The range is 3 months out of warranty, and the oven will not light... just a clicking sound and gas pouring into the oven. I have also had problems with the burners being turned on by brushing against against the knobs. I have a note by the stove to remind myself to check that the knobs are in the OFF position. My 1 year old grandson turned the burner on just by touching the knob... NO SAFETY FEATURES!!! I havent checked to see what a repair is going to cost me, but if it is several hundred dollars, I will just replace this piece of junk. It is very sad that a costly brand new appliance only comes with a one year warranty. I will never ever buy another Whirlpool appliance!!

My Whirlpool refrigerator does well overall to maintain food items. However, even at the lowest freeze settings, some of the food items that are stored towards the rear of the refrigerator shelf have a tendency to freeze. This oftentimes results in food items having to be wasted. Other than that, the overall appearance and performance of the Whirlpool refrigerator is great.

The refrigerator I purchased a week was a dud. Two days ago I received a replacement for a new unit with the same brand and type purchased a week ago from Lowes which never cooled properly (never even froze water into ice), and the coolest it got was 45 to 50%, after three days, with the coldest settings. This replacement works great. Cools like it should. Freezer at 0 and refrigerator cabin at 35 degrees to 40. Lowes was right on top with their service and callbacks - I give them an A for customer service.

I have a portable dishwasher. It does not dry the dishes when cycle is completed. I have to either leave the door open or take them out and towel dry them.

From day one I was not happy with the new auto fill washer, I was told I just needed to get used to it! Well I have tried every cycle available and no matter what I try cloths don’t come out clean, using the deepwash cycle Sheets on top were still dry once cycle was completed!! Give me back my old washer! Washed much much better.

I had my washing machine for about 10 days before it stopped working. I did about 4 loads of laundry. We have had 3 repair people come check it out, all referred by Whirlpool. They each had a different theory on why it wasnt working properly. Im now waiting for parts to be delivered and then service to be scheduled. When I contacted customer service, I was told (after waiting on hold for about 1 hour) that it was customer misuse. Ahem, first I heard that, and I think I know how to use a washing machine. I asked to speak with a supervisor. More waiting. Tina (#**) told me she will contact the service company about the parts. I told her to please conference me in on the call because I want to hear the outcome (and I dont want to wait another 1+ hour to reach customer service again). She put me on hold and then disconnected me! Really, all this time and 3 service people... Would be cheaper to just replace the machine altogether. What a headache!

I have Whirlpool Washing Machine bought at end of 2012. In 2014, I faced an issue where the washing machine board ics are gone. The services people came and check the replaced a board. It was cost me 6000 Rupees including the service cost. Very next year 2015, again the same issue. Board of the washing machine gone. Now I have to change the board. It seems it may cost more than previous one.I heard that these service engineers are taking the previous my board / replaced board. They are repairing it and sold it again and again so the quality of the board is question mark. As a customer I / we cannot spend money and change board every year. I just want everyone to think twice before you go to Whirlpool Washing Machine & its products. I had a same kind of poor quality issue with even water purifier too. Consequences - I have spent Rs. 10000 already, it is loss for me beside the buying cost of the products.

I purchased my brand new gas stove at Lowes in 29 Jun 10. Within the first month, my oven was giving me the error F-2. They came out and replaced the ERG board. Now, just after the warranty had expired, the same problem is happening. When I called them, they told me that I should have purchased the extended warranty. I cant use the oven because I have to unplug the stove every time to get it to stop beeping.

Sounds crazy, but the outside of my stainless steel door is all dented. I live alone and one day noticed that it looks like someone body slammed my fridge. Is there air in the door panels that could be escaping or something like that? Anyone hear of this?

My Whirlpool gas range was installed in December 2008. The control panel for the oven has now died for the third time! Push the buttons to set the temperature and nothing happens. The first time the control panel died, Whirlpool replaced the parts. The second time it happened (6 months later), they didnt want to hear from me. The oven worked satisfactorily for about three years and here we are again. It will be about $500 to fix the problem which clearly is not an isolated issue as I have seen this same complaint raised a number of times. Looks like its time for a new gas range. My dilemma is that I have the greatest serviceman who exists... and he only sells and services Whirlpool. But...thanks to Whirlpool, hes probably losing some business.

Very functional microwave which also comes in convection oven if needed. Stainless steel, finger print resistant, is very handy and easy to clean. Overall very happy with it so far. Much better than the earlier Samsung that we had.

After only 14 months of light use, the magnetron in my over-the-range Whirlpool stainless steel microwave failed. The cost to repair was $350. I paid $450 for the whole unit upon purchase. I wrote to Whirlpool with documentation and got a voicemail that they were sorry, but the 12-month warranty had expired. The independent repair person said it is the Korean manufacturer of the magnetron that is the problem. He is replacing units all over town on all kinds of models Whirlpool is involved with, including KitchenAid. Whirlpool needs to get their money back from Korea! I will never buy another Whirlpool product and have told them so.

My refrigerator & dishwasher were purchased less than a year ago. Ive already had all the doors replaced on the fridge and the new ones are rusting. Discovered same issue with the dishwasher. The company doesnt seem to be overly concerned with remedying the issue. No sense of urgency or concern for the customer.

First the ice maker stopped making ice and then the freezer stopped freezing. The unit is 2 1/2 years old. Whirlpool wants $1800 to repair! No Way. Purchased a Samsung and hope I do better with this one. So little to be praised about this American brand.

This is not a new washer (Whirlpool Cabrio INTW6200VWO) and it works well BUT since we have owned it we have had rust at the bleach dispenser. I am seeing on the internet there are many complaints about this and there was a recall? But they have run out of replacement parts??? Never received any recall notice. We have online instructions on how to repair and have done this many times and the rust comes back. About a week ago we sanded, primed and enamel painted the area plus I have put NO BLEACH in the dispenser and the rust is coming back. I hate to replace a working machine but this rust can and will get on my clothing. Whirlpool was the absolutely best in the past but this one is a lemon.

After Hurricane Katrina, six years ago, the gas water heater in my house had to be replaced due to the house getting flooded. For the past six years, the pilot light and/or igniter for the gas water heater has had to be replaced if not once a year, twice a year because it will not stay lit. Each time, Whirlpool would send a new igniter and/or pilot light part and would reimburse me the cost of labor to have the part(s) replaced.Now, after six years and exhausted of fighting with Whirlpool to stand behind their product and make it right, they are finally giving me an authorization to get a new gas water heater. However, now they are telling me they will not cover the cost of labor for replacing the entire water heater. My plumber will have to pull the defective water heater out of my house, take it to Lowes, pick up the new water heater and install it in my home. And Im supposed to accept their not paying for the labor of replacing their faulty water heater? I questioned this and told Whirlpool they paid for labor for the parts to be replaced for the past six years. Whirlpool then said they would pay up to $100. This is not acceptable. I was reimbursed more than $100 for the labor to replace a part that fits in a shoe box. (Multiply $100+ times 6. They paid more than $600 over the past six years.) The cost to replace an entire water heater, picking it up from the store included, will cost more than $200, if not $300! I would not have to pay anything if the Whirlpool product was not defective!I told the manager I was speaking with at Whirlpool I wanted to speak with his boss or someone who had more authority than he did. He refused. I asked him, Was he telling me no I could not speak with someone above him? He finally said he would have someone call me.I believe I should be reimbursed for the entire amount of labor to replace the water heater since the water heater is a defective product and I have to have it replaced not by my choice but out of necessity and safety. If it is defective in one area, who is to say in trying to light the pilot light, one day it will not do something worse than just not light up. What if it decides to explode? Defective is defective and I feel my family is in danger from a defective product and it should be replaced at the cost of Whirlpool not mine.

This Whirlpool is great with a side by side refrigerator and freezer. I love the ice maker and water on the freezer side door. The refrigerator keeps my veggies and fruit fresh and crisp. Has a water filter purification that makes the water taste like mountain spring water.

I bought a washer dryer Cabrio set and the washer after 2 years has a bearing failure and is squealing badly. The service technician quoted $400.00 to fix a washer that cost me $800.00 new and is 2 years old. I had a Whirlpool washer and dryer set for 11 years with minimal issues and that is why I bought Whirlpool again. This will be the last time. It is a matter of time before the washer fails and I will have to purchase new or pay the service technician.

Whirlpool Gold refrigerator WRF989SDAH00. I purchased this French door refrigerator based on past experiences with Whirlpool and sad to say this is not the same quality product I have know Whirlpool for. After the warranty ran out, it died. The first service company I called identified the problem as a known (to Whirlpool) design flaw. They would not touch it and referred me to contact Whirlpool. I did and the company referred me to Dinos Appliance Factory Service (in Phoenix AZ). They came out and confirmed it was a design flaw. They replaced the evaporator and compressor and it lasted about 6 weeks.

Ive bought a new home and I purchased a brand new Whirlpool black oven range. First, a piece of metallic on top of the oven broke. I couldnt believe it. And the biggest problem is that whatever I do to clean the top surface, it always leaves a stain. After a few months, the oven looked like 10 years old piece. I called whirlpool and talked to a customer service rep, he told me that I needed to clean the surface immediately after something spill on it. To make sure if I understood it right, I asked him You mean when I am cooking some rice and some water spill out, do I have to remove the pot and clean the surface and repeat that all along while I am cooking? BELIEVE OR NOT, THE ANSWER WAS yes. I cant believe the bad quality of this product and worst, its customer service defensive attitude. Dont buy this product.

My washing machine stopped working. I called customer service and got through to Tonya, in the Benton Harbor, Michigan call center. She was wonderful! Living is SW Florida, were having a difficult time right now dealing with the aftermath of Irma. Tonya is an angel during this trying time! Thank you Whirlpool for have exceptional customer service reps! Ill continue to purchase your products as a result.

I HATE this washer!!! Did I say hate this washer? YES. Do not buy it. Delicate cycle. Ha ha ha. NO!!! Good thing Im retired because I need to check it every 5 min to see if its getting clothes wet or untangle a mess. I find I use the rinse and spin cycle once with a little soap and run it again to rinse. A lot of extra work. Sheets washed in the deep water cycle turn into a giant twisted mess if you dont stop machine and untangle everything. Hate it. Hate it. Do not buy this machine. I use more water by washing things twice or fewer items. What a waste of time!!! Locking lids are the worst thing ever designed. Why?? Dont tell me some stupid kid is going to climb in it. We should have a choice or be able to disable it!!! Worst machine ever designed???

We purchased a Whirlpool hot water heater approximately 4-5 years ago and have had problems with the pilot staying lit. I contacted Whirlpool and their trouble shooting included doing a draft test (I am a teacher not a plumber) and removing the closet door that houses the unit. I am very frustrated by this entire ordeal and would like if they would replace the entire unit. At this point I dont want another Whirlpool product. The plumber made a service call at 12 noon and by 3:30 we had luke warm water and by 6:00 pm the water was ice cold! I will never recommend any Whirlpool products.

Problematic... constantly out of balance... and will Not spin out due to this.. Sensors are very sensitive... have to unload and reload.. Most times have to wring out by hand.. Definitely a defect of these machines.
