We purchased the WRX988SIBM00, delivered 6-26-14. Immediately upon plugging it in, we noticed a seemingly loud hum to it. Thought maybe it would go away once the fridge cooled off, but the hum continues. SO sad because I love the features.

I purchased a Whirlpool washer, dryer and dishwasher in 2004. The dryer and washer paint is peeling off the appliance and is rusting underneath. The dishwasher has never dried the dishes appropriately, it takes a few days to completely dry the dishes. I have lodged this complaint with customer service, also. I have always purchased Whirlpool, but I will never again nor will anyone in my family. I feel that Whirlpool should at least look into the problems and not just verbally apologize. Janice **

I called in a claim on June 10, 2016 & my washer is still not repaired. The extended warranty company, AIG sent L&W out to repair my washer. After 3 visits its still not repaired & the technician hasnt fixed it. Not only that he had laid it on concrete & scratched the outside. This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a warranty company or service company. Aig wont even return my calls. Will never buy a Whirlpool appliance again.

This was done with no success. He states there is nothing he can do for it. The refrigerator runs all the time and the freezer is unusable.

I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher from Home Depot on 2/5/2015. It was delivered damaged on 2/9/2015. Home Depot refused to take it back and Whirlpool sent a tech out to see the damage. I told them I did not want a refurbished dishwasher that I paid almost $1000 for. Whirlpool advised Home Depot that the machine can be repaired. Once again I told both whirlpool and Home Depot that I did not want this dishwasher and to pick it up. Home Depot stated that there would be a 15 percent restocking fee along with a $65 to pick up the washer. Why should we have to pay anything? I am so disgusted for the treatment I received.

The shelves in freezer don’t lock into anything so if you don’t balance the food right on the shelf it will tip over. I had to replace the fan motor in freezer. The refrigerator is only 4 years old. The little tray under the water and ice outside of door if you shut the freezer door too quick water from tray goes everywhere. The water filter cost $50.00. If you have bad water you will need to change it twice a month.

Our Model # WRF532SMBW refrigerator was purchased on 8/21/14. In the last several months, it has begun having problems with ice build up in the bottom of the freezer, as well as water puddling around the front legs on the floor. I called Whirlpool and they suggested it was our water line, but it does not leak onto the floor daily. They then suggested I have a serviceman come out for a $120.00 service call, plus whatever other expenses that occur. Or, I could just pay $322.00 and that would take care of the service call, parts and an additional one year warranty. We just bought this refrigerator 23 months ago and it cost $1618.92. Now I need to spend $322.00 additionally! What a rip off. Do not purchase a Whirlpool Refrigerator or any of their other appliances. I see this is a common complaint and wish I had read the reviews earlier. The appliance is only 2 years old.

They called Whirlpools technical person and found there are other similar cases for this model. We were told to wait till they solve the engineering issue. We require to replace another model. I bought a new washer thinking I was upgrading. Wrong!! Well the new so called technology they put into these machines is overrated. They took a good thing and instead of advancing they have took two step backwards in time. I wish I had kept the old washer I had. I think I would rather use an old time wringer washer my great grandmother used. They are probably faster by hand. This new Whirlpool grabs every string on my hoodies and twist my clothes so tight in knots. I cant even remove my clothes until I fight and get mad enough to write a review. Remember, it was on rinse. I THINK the CEO NEEDS to come to my house and wash his white shirts. This is a design problem. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator from 2017 that is causing so many issues and finally completely broken after spending $500 on repairs. 4 months ago, refrigerator was making loud noise and freezer wasnt working. Then within a week the whole unit stopped working. Then, freezer got all frosty and the whole unit got shut off. 2 month later, the ice maker stopped working and nothing is working now. I called the Whirlpool and they offered me to purchase extended warranty for $530. I could not believe they wanted me to spend another $530 on this refrigerator after spending all this money on repairs and still useless. I refused to buy any more Whirlpool product that I used to love in the past. I am just so disappointed with the customer service as the supervisor from Whirlpool said that is why they offer extended warranty. $2000 refrigerator to last me 3 years???? Not doing this again.

First of all, Whirlpool is fully aware of the problems with water heaters and intentionally places requirements on the consumer until they give up. This info from a distributor. I bought 30 gal. gas water heater 7 months ago. Six days ago the pilot light went out. Went to Lowes (purchased there) and bought a replacement. Wrong one. Returned to store and was told they dont stock repair parts, call factory. Monday called warranty number. They offers to send thermopile, it would arrive in 5 days. I paid $30 for overnight. Plumber installed new part. Still doesnt work. Whirlpool says have the plumber call them theyll walk him through troubleshooting. I ask, Whos paying the plumber? They reply, You are. Plumber calls Whirlpool. They tell him to clean the screen. He does. They tell him to disassemble the burner. I stop plumber. I ask Whirlpool, What if its not the burner? They reply, Then well troubleshoot something else. Meanwhile Im 5 days without hot water. I go to Lowes where heater was purchased. The manager thought it funny Im another victim. I ask, Why doesnt Lowes stock heater parts? He says because Whirlpool doesnt let them carry parts. Im beat. I surrender. Parts from Whirlpool would take another 5 days and theres no assurance itll work. Lowes refuses to assist.I go to Sutherlands and buy a $450 Rheem on recommendation from plumber. Manager from Sutherlands hears my sad story and writes on receipt: Any warranty failure and Sutherlands will replace water heater free. He signs his name on receipt. I pay plumber to swap out heaters. Anybody want a 7 month old Whirlpool water heater. Like new. Cheap! By the way... I originally went to a major appliance parts store asking for a thermocouple for a Whirlpool. The three guys at the counter started laughing Hey we got another one looking for Whirlpool parts. They didnt have them either. Lesson learned.

We purchased our Whirlpool dishwasher/Model no. WDT780SAEM in July 2016 and it was installed on August 3, 2016. Right away we noticed 2 problems. The top tray squeaks very loudly when being pulled out for loading and unloading. The usual temporary fix for this would be using a product like WD-40. Of course as soon as you run the dishwasher all of the product is washed away. This was our first complaint about this dishwasher. The more important problem was the white cloudy residue being left on all of our clear plastic cups and glasses. Weve always had hard water but our previous dishwashers were able to remove the residue if we used the high-temperature wash. After looking at all of the manuals and user guides that are included with the purchase we read that we should be using a rinse agent and a product such as Lemi Shine to deal with hard water deposits. We tried these items and nothing worked.Using the All Fresh tabs didnt help and our filter was clear and clean. So we made an appointment to have the Whirlpool factory serviceman come out to look into our problems. First of all the customer service representative I spoke with was rude and impatient. She kept cutting me off and asking me about hard water and suggesting that I use all of the products mentioned above before finding out that I already had used them to no avail. Because we had the dishwasher for just over 30 days I asked her about the Clean and Quiet Guarantee that I found out about by going to Whirlpools site. Her exact words were The clean and quiet what?? So I didnt have much hope for our service appointment. Our serviceman was asking all of the same questions about hard water and if we had tried all of the products I mentioned above. After his visit we found out and now (too late) know that because our new dishwasher does not have a heat booster or the ability to get the water temperature high enough to remove the hard water residue theres nothing Whirlpool will do for us. This is the case with all newer technology dishwashers UNLESS you purchase one with a heat booster. I sure wish this wouldve been made clear to us, the consumer before making our purchase. If we had known beforehand that new dishwashers no longer get the water up to 140 degrees which is what would be needed to remove the residue, we wouldve made sure our model included a heat booster. Now were stuck handwashing our plastic items if we want clear dishes. Its not the end of the world but its not good customer service or honest to the consumer in any way, shape or form.

Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator, #GI6FDRXXY07 ICE MAKER PROBLEM - Ever since we bought this ref in 2012, we have been facing problems one after the other. First the refrigerator was shutting off on itself thawing the food the ref & freezer. (When we were on vacation, in summer of 2012 , it was a disaster when we returned home.) This a continuous on going problem... not fixed. Second 2012 Spring the Icemaker shuts off spilling water at the dispenser, when called customer service they sent a technician who replaced the ice maker. But again the icemaker is spilling water or leaking now. Third 2013 Winter, the bottom freezer was leaking and ice buildup at bottom. We have been having problems ever since we got this. WRF989SDAM00 - We spent about $1800 on a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator
WRF989SDAM00 - We spent about $1800 on a Whirlpool French Door refrigerator and at 1.5 years we had to replace the compressor for $700+. Apparently Whirlpool will only warranty for 1 year. The repairman told me the compressor he was putting in is exactly the same model as the bad one he took out so I guess I am not surprised that it only has a 1.5 year working range. We are now 1.5 years into the new compressor and sure enough it is dying again. Now it sounds like a jet plane taking off. By the time I replace it again I could have bought a new refrigerator. I am trying to figure out if this refrigerator is on recall because I cant keep replacing the compressor every 1.5 year. Never again will I purchase a Whirlpool product. I think they know the lifespan of that compressor and that is why the warranty falls just short of it!!

Model number wrf990slam00. I purchased this French door refrigerator in September of 2013 (less than two years ago). Our freezer stopped freezing a month ago. Knowing it was out of Warranty we had a non-Whirlpool related repair tech out. He said the compressor was going out, he said to call Whirlpool because this should not be happening on a fridge less than two years old. I called Whirlpool. They offered me a extended Warranty knowing the issue for $320 so I accepted since a compressor with labor is much more than that. Whirlpool arranged for a repair person to come out. The guy hardly looked at my fridge, didnt hook any gauges up and said maybe just see it in a few days it works again... after asking ME for a thermometer to check the temperature! I told him well we had a previous repair person out and he said it was the compressor. He said hed have to have someone else come out because he doesnt know anything about compressors. Um ok why did they send you out then! So the following week I get a call from a different guy with the same company saying my parts were in and they were going to come out and replace them. I said I thought the guy didnt know what was wrong with it. He said oh well its the compressor and evaporator! Ok well I guess comes fix it then. They came out replaced the parts. Within 36 hours the freezer was working again, ok great! Well a week later we had people over and we bought ice cream and put it in the freezer. A few hours later we pull it out and its melting. Called Whirlpool again, they sent a second company out. The guy hooked up his gauges and said it was definitely leaking refrigerant and the fibrotic in the ice maker was broken. He said he couldnt fix it because the company that replaced them is responsible for it, and that in this type of refrigerator the compressors need to be placed a certain way or they leak which he suspected that was the case. Called Whirlpool, they scheduled for the original company to come out. After 2 times of them not showing they finally came a week and a half later. The guy hooked up his gauges said it wasnt leaking and that the other guy didnt know how to read the gauges. He looked around for a bit, took my drawers out then put them back in and broke one of the brackets, then called the tech line and said its probably an internal leak. He said he needed approval from Whirlpool to look any further. A few hours after he left the refrigerator got warm. I called Whirlpool to expedite the claim and they said the company hadnt made a claim yet. Ok great. I have a two-year-old and Im pregnant and we have no refrigerator! Called the next day. Whirlpool said the refrigerator is now too expensive or not repairable and they are going to make me an offer on replacement. Ok great! Well not so much. I call a few days later to see where the heck my offer is and they tell me sorry we will only refund your Warranty What! My fridge is less than two years old and I paid $2100 and it is not repairable and thats all you will do!!!! Im in the process of fighting this but I doubt they will do anything. Just dont ever buy a Whirlpool and if you do buy the Warranty the store offers! Each repair person that came suggested the same thing and said these new Whirlpools are junk and have had many of these refrigerators do the same thing. Whirlpool makes tons and tons of money making these cheap refrigerators but does not care about the customer whatsoever! Whirlpool has lost my business forever and I hope more customers because of this review.

I initially purchased all new Whirlpool products as part of my new home purchase in a Pulte subdivision, June, 2011. My WP microwave failed to heat in 2012 and the replacement of the Magnetron and Inverter and service was covered under warranty (would have cost me $493.51). Sadly, the microwave again failed to heat in 2014. I was so disgusted with this second failure, I decided to live without a MW until January, 2016 when I paid for my second service call and learned, once again, I needed a replacement Magnetron and Inverter, to the tune of $400. Both servicemen told me the 2011 magnetron/ inverter mechanisms were new technology and did not last long. Again, sadly, when I contacted Whirlpool, they would not admit to their defective product line and indicated they could do nothing since I am out of warranty. It is unconscionable that a corporation is not liable for their defective products.

The appliance repairman said he is not in business to condemn appliances, but said he has a Kenmore top loader at his house. Simple, no electronics and less things to go wrong. Well after researching brands and reading reports, I thought I was buying a machine that would last at least as long as my second hand Maytag. Whirlpool has not heard the end of me. I have heard several other people say the same thing. Repair bills are huge and machines do not hold up. So much for buying quality. Now Im going to contact the MA attorney general for the states implied warranty, which means if you spend your money on any appliance, that appliance has an expected lifetime of service. A $1,000+ machine is not expected to fall apart after a few years.

I purchased my water heater at Lowes and had it installed professionally. I suspected something was not quite right on numerous occasions because the hot water recovery time seemed excessive. I finally called Whirlpool and they gave me the names and numbers of two companies that were on their list. The first asked for the model number and normal information and never called back. The second showed up spent five minutes charged me 78 dollars and said they could not get the part (gas valve) I needed. And if I could get it from Whirlpool they would charge me 250 to put it on. They also said Whirlpool made horrible water heaters and I should save myself the trouble and just replace it. I have since heard from additional plumbers and the gas company to stay away from Whirlpool. I did have the water heater replaced. When they did it and they drained the old water heater it had so much sludge in it draining it was very difficult. The sludge is mystery since I have a softener in my home and it should have prevented that. The individual from that gas company said that was just one of the many issue others had experienced with these heaters.

Needed a washer right away and have had Whirlpool before. Simple & easy to use. Not confusing to the average person or teenager for that matter. Reliability from Whirlpool is excellent. I have had many products from them and have enjoyed them all. They have been quite reliable over the last 9 years. They are out of date but they work. Not a lot of bells and whistles but still nice. They are both full size and have enough options for me. I am still happy with the pair and would purchase again if needed in the future. Price was good at the time as I cannot see spending $1K on them. Not always the more expensive is a good idea either.

Just had the repairman at my house to repair my 2-year-old Whirlpool refrigerator Model GB2F4DXWS07 - he couldnt fix it. Just throw it away and get a new one. There is a blockage somewhere in the line, he suspects the lines were not cleaned before it was charged at the factory. Repairman said it was a typical 20-year-old refrigerator problem. Customer service was no help - Whirlpool live chat is currently unavailable. Lousy product with worse service. I will never buy another Whirlpool product.

The oven works well. My complaint is that the glass door is very difficult to clean. Some kind of liquid got in between the panels and I cannot clean the glass without removing the oven door. Im afraid to remove the door as I may not be able to get it back on the oven. I have dirty glass I cant clean and that makes me unhappy. Otherwise the oven works just fine.

I purchased new appliances almost 1year ago to the date. I bought the glass top range with. convection oven. In convection mode, the fan cuts on and off intermittently during bake cycle. Friends who also have the same oven say their fan runs consistently in convection mode. Repairman came out and changed fan and control panel. Still runs intermittently. Apparently that is a feature of “some models”. Had I known it was not continuous convection, I would have purchased a less expensive model without convection feature. It takes longer to cook in that mode.

I replaced a 15 -year-old propane water heater with an electric on 02/01/14
I replaced a 15 -year-old propane water heater with an electric on 02/01/14, due to the high propane prices, $6 a gallon, and because I felt the heater should be replaced. After installing the electric water heater I filled with water purged all the air out, powered it up, went thru diagnostics and heated water to 120. After an hour I turned on the hot water at the kitchen faucet, hot water was there but not for long, water got cold,.I troubleshot the problem back to the anti-scald valve installed 15 years ago when I had a professional install the first tank. By placing my hand on the hot water line coming out of the tank, I found the water was indeed hot before the anti-scald valve, after the valve the water was cold indicating to me the valve was not functioning properly. I went to Lowes bought the parts to bypass and removed the valve, went home and in another hour had the problem solved! I wondered why I had to turn the temp upon the old heater to get hot water! I am very happy with my electric water heater, not only did Lowes have the last one in stock, it was on sale $100 off regular price, it is a digital controller type with water temperature setting on the front. I checked the temp at the water faucet in the kitchen. I had it set to 120, the water temp out was 119.8 on my digital thermometer. Water was too hot so I lowered it to 110, perfect temp for a hot shower. Even if the thing uses more electric than it should I still save because the fact of propane is so high I couldnt see spending $600 for 28 days of propane, versus $400 on a new electric water heater. I would rather pay a higher electric bill than feel I am getting ripped off with the propane dealers! Also there is absolutely no residual heat loss. This is well insulated even comes with pipe insulation!

My two-year old Whirlpool Duet Front Load washing machine is ripping my familys clothes. When I went online and saw all the other customers with the same issue, I contacted Whirlpool. Although the contact said that he knew I was frustrated, he could do nothing but send a repairman at a cost of $129 for me and then I would also have to pay for parts. I informed him that the online sites are saying that this is just a temporary fix. He pleaded ignorance and could offer me no other alternative. This is the last Whirlpool or Maytag product we will ever buy... and letting others know about the lack of cooperation.

We bought a brand new Whirlpool dishwasher around 2 years ago. Within 13 months it stopped drying dishes, silverware etc. I called customer service told the person what’s going on. Of course the warranty was up, a month prior. She said she would send a service technician out to see why it wasn’t drying. They charge 75$ a hour plus a service fee for coming out. I told her no. She said she would drop the service fee since it was only 13 months old. I asked how long he would be here, she had no idea. I didn’t make the appointment because I felt I shouldn’t have to pay anything because it was only 13 months old.She didn’t agree. Since then it has gotten worse, it doesn’t dry anything, maybe the dishes. I have to put the silverware rack on a towel by and dry the silverware or put it away wet. I’ve bought jet dry a few different ones and no luck. I would not recommend anything from Whirlpool, especially a dishwasher. We have new wood cabinets. The cabinets will get soaked if I don’t put paper towels under them. This is the worst dishwasher I ever owned. Don’t waste your money!!

I just finished reading multiple complaints that sound very similar to my experience in 2014. I bought a fridge for a rental unit in Oct. 2013. The freezer malfunctioned and froze up in back, 6/2014. Had multiple repairs with the problem going unfixed. After a couple of months with my renter without a fridge and laborious system requiring multiple phone calls on my part to get an exchange approved. The exchange went thru. It was delivered the am of Sept 11. Guess what? It was dented on the side. The delivery personnel thought is was prior reject and it was an attempt to get me to accept it as is with a small cost reduction off the original purchase price. NO thank you! So still no fridge from Whirlpool as of 9/13/14 that is functioning from Whirlpool and yet to have a call back from Whirlpool regarding the mishap. No apology, no remorse, just the way they do business. I will say that my local HOME DEPOT was willing to send me a loaner fridge for my renter for his garage. NOT ideal but better than nothing and quite nice of them and an example of what customer service should be! Thank You HOME DEPOT! SHAME ON WHIRLPOOL! Not sure how this will end but obviously is common them after reading the reviews. I am now concerned if they do replace it again with an undamaged fridge it will repeat the same dysfunction pattern and I will have to go this painful process all over again! EEEEK. Refrig WRT771REYBOO, VS33469859 BTW I had to pay for spoilage of food for my rent on multiple occasions because the repairs work for a week or so and my renter would stock up the fridge and it would go out and he would lose food. Whirlpool gave me a 50 food spoilage card after much complaining bc go figure the warranty does not cover food spoilage but apparently the extended does. Go figure?

Purchased Whirlpool Gold appliances for a kitchen reno two years ago. Fridge and stove from a dealer and microwave from Lowes. Fridge - After one year the ice maker quit. $200 part plus labour. Seal on fridge door not sealing. New hinge and washers to adjust. $30 plus labour. Stove - three different stoves were delivered with the same paint flaw on the top of the control panel (3 inch section where paint did not adhere or was scraped off... Same spot on all three... clearly a factory issue). Stove door - when you touch it the interior light goes on. Warming button and switch was broken when purchased but didnt notice. Whirlpool wont warranty. $48 plus labour. Last piece in this puzzle... Microwave - magnetron went and wont heat. $300 plus labour. Obviously time to change brands. Now to figure out who is NOT under the same manufacturing umbrella.

I see this is a common complaint and wish I had read the reviews earlier. The appliance is only 3 1/2 years old. Other complaints - impossible to clean the freezer. Mold build up on the seals. I purchased a new Whirlpool range and had it fitted for propane. I used the stove daily and within two weeks, the temperature started fluctuated constantly. Several things I tried to cook ended up burned. I called Whirlpool to ask them for a possible solution. They wanted to send a repair person. I live on an island and knew it would take forever to get someone here. My appliance person said it could be only two things - the temperature probe or the computer board. I purchased both things and had them shipped to my address at my expense. It cost $257.00 to get the items. My appliance man on the island installed the two new items. I was hoping that would fix the problem. I am sad to say it did not! The oven still fluctuates wildly. I set the temp for 350 degrees and it shoots up to 450 degrees. I turn the temp down to 325 and it settles in at 350 for a period of time. Then, without any warning, it will shoot back up to 500 degrees. I have to open the door and let the temp back down to 350. This is how I have to bake and cook with this disaster. Wish I never purchased a Whirlpool appliance!

Stove was purchased in June, 2021. Two months later, oven will not heat up!!! Contacts Whirlpool, and TEN days later, a service person finally shows up. Problem appears to be a circuit board that they dont have, and has to be ordered! When will it arrive? He has no idea!!! I called Whirlpool, but its frustrating and a waste of time. You only get to talk to someone that appears to be reading from a script! If were lucky, well be without an oven for one month; however, it could be two...or three...or four!!! My advice: Dont buy this stove/range!!! Not only is the oven an issue, but it just seems flimsy and subpar quality, especially the oven door. Added to that, the glass top is very difficult to keep clean... Worse than any glass top stove weve had in the past.

8 cu. ft. Cabrio® High-Efficiency Top Load Washer with Steam - I bought a new washer. It did a poor job rinsing and spinning dry. Whirlpool customer threatened me that a service charge may be charge if the repairman came out and found nothing wrong. After calling three times I ordered a repairman out. The repairman explained that only way to prevent soap residue on your clean clothes is to use the bulky and deep water options. Also dont use high spin or when it spins your clothes dry, it leaves them in a tangled mess that requires ironing to remove the wrinkles. This washer is not ready for the market and must be removed until they can perfect it. It cost me $200 to return and exchange this model for the Front Load Duet, which works excellent. Whirlpool should be ashamed to have ever put this machine on the market.

I have the Cabrio model WTW6400SW2. I have had it for 5 1/2 years and have been happy with it up until several months ago. The F1 would come up when the machine would lock and just start to fill. I could pause it and start it again, and it might do this 1 to 3 times. It would also do it on the rinse cycle. I have been using it because I did not want a repair bill right now. The machine was also starting to make noise when it was spinning. Well, I just happened to break my dryer yesterday so I thought I would get the washer fixed also. Well, the repairman said that the controller would cost $200 for the part, and then he said the pump roller and bearings were going. By the time you add on labor, he said, “You might want to buy a new one.” He told me that Whirlpool has completely changed the washer now because of all the problems with them. He told me to look it up on the computer, and maybe there would be a class action suit. After reading some of the reviews, I will not buy another Whirlpool again.

My boyfriend and I purchase a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer on November
My boyfriend and I purchase a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer on November 28, 2010 from Lowes in Shepherdsville, KY. Just after we purchased the set, I read some bad online reviews of the set. I called Lowes and talked to Chris ** in appliances and he assured me that this was a good set and that it was very popular with their customers. He assured me that if there were any problems that Lowes would make sure they did everything they could to fix and/or replace the appliance(s). My intention was to cancel the order when I called, but he convinced me not to, now I completely regret not canceling that order that day.In May of 2011 we called Lowes to report that the dryer was not working properly; they sent a repair person from Maytag Service Co, 1500 South Shelby, Louisville, KY 40217, phone number 502-637-6526. The name on the card that the repair person left is Steve **. The repair tech indicated that the problem was that the belt had come off and he put the belt back on the dryer. It has worked without issue until about 2 weeks ago, when it stopped drying again. I assume the belt is off again since it is performing exactly the same as it did in May when we had the repair company out.I called Maytag Service Co approximately 1 to 1 1/2 weeks ago to see when a tech could come back out and I was told they only work Monday - Friday. I told them both my boyfriend and I work and cant really take time off from work to be home for the repair. The male on the phone indicated that they could call 30 minutes before arriving if that would help. I told them that wouldnt really help since I work in Louisville (about 30 minutes from Shepherdsville where we live). He indicated that was the best they could do.Yesterday, November 7th sometime during business hours. I spoke with someone in their appliance department. He indicated that I would need to call Maytag Service Co at 502-637-6526. I called them and was advised that they could come out the next day (today), November 8th, but they could not give me a time window. I spoke to a female who did not identify herself. She specifically stated, If someone has not called you by 8:30 a.m., you can call us and we will give you a time window. Since I had just earned a vacation day at work, I so desperately need my dryer working that I took the day off to get the dryer fixed. I got up at 7:30 a.m. this morning to prepare for the service call. I have not left the house today. At 9:20 a.m. my boyfriend called and said that the service company had called and they were not coming out. I called them back and again spoke to an unidentified female. She indicated that they called my boyfriends phone at 9:00 a.m., he called them back at 9:20 a.m. I was on the phone with the female at 9:25 a.m. She indicated that I should have called at 8:30 a.m. and that they never call their customers because they dont have time to call them all. She said that when my boyfriend didnt answer the phone at 9:00 a.m., they had to send their tech on to the next call because, they cant have their tech waiting around 20 - 30 minutes on customers to answer their phone. When I told her that I took my only vacation day to be home for this call, she indicated that I would have to reschedule for another day because their tech was already on his way to another city. I then stated that I thought that was ** and she hung up on me.I called and spoke with the store manager at Lowes in Shepherdsville, KY. He called Maytag Service Co and was told that I used profanity and was rude and that I would not provide them with an alternate number. Most if not all of these are lies. I did say **, but I was not rude and I was never asked for an alternate number. I give out my number and my boyfriends number to almost any company we deal with. My boyfriend is also a service technician for Icee Corporation and he is not allowed to be on a cell phone in his work truck; therefore I always give both numbers since I can easily answer the phone throughout the day. The store manager made several attempts to try to find another company to come out and service our dryer, but cannot find anyone to come before tomorrow. Since I used my only vacation day today, I cannot be here for the technician and my boyfriend doesnt have any vacation or sick time to take to be home for the call.I cannot believe that after spending over $1300 on a Whirlpool Washer and Dryer set (including several hundred dollars for the extended warranty), that we cannot get our dryer serviced at our convenience. Since when did companies only repair or back up their products at their convenience? This in my opinion is the worst customer service I have ever seen. I thought Whirlpool/Maytag was a good company; now Im not so sure. I just wish I could return the set and do more research and find a quality appliance that wont break down 2 times in less than a year!!

I bought a washer and dryer a couple months ago. The washer has been completely replaced already. It is a piece of garbage. I have to wash my laundry four times and still my clothes are not coming out clean. I have three small children and it is just a pain to always be washing their clothes. Things as simple as orange juice not coming out of a shirt even using bleach. It was sold to me with high efficiency and great water consumption but of course it is, it doesnt use any water to wash the clothes. I had a tech come out to look at it and even they said its had so many complaints about how it washes. She said that the wash machine is the worst out there and I totally agree. If you cant wash baby clothes and get puke out of a bed sheet then I could just imagine grass stains. Wash machines don’t last forever but I can promise you I will never purchase another in my life. Best part of it is when whirlpool was approached, did absolutely nothing about. Basically said, “Have a good day, thats what you bought, thats what you get.” Considering its still under a year warranty. Tell me I will never buy a whirlpool again and I will never recommend one to anyone who asks. The customer service and product dont stand anything against other manufactures. I learned my lesson the hard way but Ive opened my eyes. Never purchase a top loader. Word of mouth travels fast. I bought a 6 year warrantied Whirlpool hot water heater Model N50T61-403, product number 0733318, at Lowes Home Improvement Center and for three years the pilot light fails to stay lit. I have talked with Whirlpool 1-877-817-6750, the number on the unit, many times. I went through the troubleshooting checklist and verified all requirements. I paid a plumber $150 to check it out and he said I needed a larger supply line and venting the closet door would help. I did this and pilot still goes out periodically. Whirlpool sent me a new gas valve and it cost me another $150 to have it installed. The plumber said everything is good. But the pilot is still going out. Called Whirlpool again and talked with them for 24 minutes. The woman on the line was telling me I needed a certain amount of oxygen for this 40,000 BTU model. She was giving me minimum requirements for square or cubic feet of house with 8 inch ceilings. Yes, she said 8 inch ceilings 4 or 5 times as we went over the requirements. I got so frustrated asking her what she was talking about and she hung up on me. I called back and asked for a supervisor and a different woman had me hold on, came back and said a supervisor would call me. I did get a call back and the supervisor wanted to send me another gas valve and a burner assembly. I told him the burner assembly is working fine and I have a new gas valve. I asked him to send me a $150 along with it to pay the plumber. He said they only warranty the parts. So, am I supposed to have $450 in labor plus my time in this product on top of the original cost? I said no thank you and asked him if he would accept this as a solution if he were the customer and he said this is not a personal discussion. I know his answer. I am never buying a Whirlpool product again. But now I need to buy a new, good brand, water heater to replace the Whirlpool piece of junk. Bad product, bad company, bad warranty. I got screwed by Whirlpool once but never again.

Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer a few years back... Started getting F1 error message and just proceeded thru it like most did initially, but now has become pain in the rear just to do one load of laundry as we get the error 2-3 times when we start each load - then on every load w/ 21 minutes left on the cycle. From the looks of things online this is a chronic problem and should be fixed by manufacturer. I called Whirlpool customer service and first person I talked with said they understand it is an issue but no longer are any recalls or reworks on that machine. I asked to speak w/ supervisor and sat on hold until I got one. Was then informed they do know it was a problem but was not something they could do anything about other than schedule a service company to come take a look. I specifically asked if there was at one time a recall or if they were fixing this issue for a while. She said Yes, they took care of some of their customers but are no longer doing that for this model. So basically because I didnt call in at the right time I need to fix my machine myself. I said it will be the last Whirlpool or Whirlpool associated appliance I ever purchase if this is the kind of customer service I can expect... The supervisor just said she was sorry to hear that and to have a nice day. Hopefully enough people read these reviews as I wish I would have before purchasing my Cabrio and dont buy Whirlpool.

Also said he would replace both the front and the rear one because it was pretty common that if one was bad the other would probably follow. Said hed have it within a because he had to order it from the factory. I called a week later because no revisit had been scheduled and found out that the factory also did not have the part and was sending me a new unit. Whirlpool was supposed to call and tell me that and did not. It would be another week. Then a few more days for them to come out and replace it and pick up the original unit. Now I have brand new unit again so we tried the self-cleaner. Same issue. To make a long story short I called again this morning and scheduled yet another service call because the oven is inoperable again after running the self-cleaner. This is the 4th time with the replacement oven. They have replaced the thermal units several times and have replaced the fan.Fortunately, when I complained vehemently about the original unit, Whirlpool gave me a one year extended warranty on the replacement so I am still under warranty, which, if youre dumb enough to buy a Whirlpool after reading this, I would advise paying for. If you already have one and are having similar issues, call Whirlpool and insist they give you one for free because they sell junk. This time I told the nice customer service lady that, since the holidays are over and I can get by without the oven, I am going to run the self-clean right after the tech leaves. When it blows and gets repaired again I am going to repeat the process until they refund my money or send me something that works. Whirlpool apparently doesnt care because in their agreement with their service companies they only have to pay for the first visit. After that they just supply parts. I will keep doing this until I run out of service companies in Denver. Then I am going to pay for another extended warranty when this one ends in September 2014 and continue the process.Wake up Whirlpool!! If these units fail consistently at high altitudes (which every tech that has come out here has mentioned as an issue) then fix the problem or quit selling it in these areas.

My wife and I purchased our Whirlpool Duet Model # WFW95HEDC 7/19/16. I put my first claim in on 12/19/16. We were sitting downstairs one night watching tv and all of a sudden a noise like the sound of a tractor trailer putting on its jake brake came roaring from upstairs. It was so loud that we both jumped. The machine would periodically vibrate violently while going thru its spin cycle. The frequency started to get closer and closer together. Whirlpool had a technician come to our home. They came out 3 times and said that nothing was wrong. They said that it was vibrating because it was on a pedestal and upstairs on a non solid floor. They also blamed the loose water hose on the noise. SERIOUSLY??? After the 3rd visit, and a week before the 4th visit our machine started to leak. We paid $1,079.00 for this washer and we were having to take our laundry to a laundromat to wash it. The technician came out the 4th time and replaced a cracked drum. Apparently it vibrated so badly that the drum cracked. So everything seemed ok, then WHALAH!!! We wash the clothes and go to move it to the dryer and it is dripping wet. Somehow after they replaced the drum the machine started to not spin the water from the clothes very well. Takes drying the clothes for 50min 2x to get them dry. I am now set to have the appliance company come out for a 5th time and still not corrected. Whats worse is that every time I contact Whirlpool they give me the same canned speech and want to set up another appointment with the appliance company. I am soon at the year mark with my manufacturers warranty and still having issues. I think Whirlpool keeps kicking the can down the road without making good on correcting the issue so they can get past the year mark and make us take it up with Home Depot on our extended service plan. I feel bad for everyone out there who got screwed by this company.

We purchased the Cabrio washer and dryer set 2 years ago (7/22/15) from Lowes and have HATED them since day one. The first wash in the washing machine left clothes dirtier than when they went in. Our clothes have never gotten truly clean. The washer has a HUGE tub which is what I liked about it so I can wash my King sized comforters. What a joke that turned out to be. The comforters only get half wet even on the deep water setting. The machine even left dark stains on my light colored comforter and ruined it. Fast forward to 2 years later and the washing machine stops spinning and fills with water clear up to the top of the tub and wont drain. I had to put the machine on the rinse and spin option to get it to drain. Tried a different setting and it worked for a few months but started doing the same thing. The washer seems to be unbalanced no matter what size load I do. I am thoroughly disgusted with this machine and wish I would have never purchased from Whirlpool. The dryer has always worked fine until recently (2 years after purchase). It quit drying the clothes and leaves everything twisted up and wrinkled, even if I take them out of the washer and shake them out before I put them in the dryer. Doesnt matter what setting I put it on, the result is the same. So now it seems as though BOTH of my machines only lasted 2 years. Im not going to bother fixing them, these will be used as target practice. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

I recently had the bake sensor go bad on my Control Panel of our Whirlpool Gold AccuBake Oven with microwave. Not a problem correct? WRONG! While the Whirlpool people were very professional in helping me (a shout out to them), the part I received was the wrong color. It was white; they called it a biscuit color. My oven is black. I have no idea what Whirlpool actually calls that color. Anyway, in my visit with them, I was informed the black control panel has been discontinued. Am I the only person that has a black control panel? This $280.00 part is now going to cost approximately $3,000.00 to replace the entire unit. Is there anyone that can direct me to where I can find a black replacement control panel? Way to take care of your customers Whirlpool. Solve this and I will give you a great shout out.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio a few months ago. Every time we do a load of laundry, the clothes are not getting cleaned. Dark colored clothing, including grey clothing, comes out of the washer with white residue, streaked all over the clothes. We have to rub the residue into the clothes to make it go away. If we attempt to dry it and do not get the residue scrubbed off the fabric, when the clothes get dried, there are white streaks in the clothes. This is extremely frustrating. We spend a lot of time getting the residue rubbed into the fabric every time we do a load of laundry. The local appliance store has told us that perhaps we are using too much soap. We have used nothing but the high efficiency soap, as recommended by Whirlpool, and have reduced the amount of soap per their suggestion. It is now to the point where we are using hardly any soap at all, in the hopes that we would not have to spend 30 minutes working on the clothes after every load. That has not worked. The white residue is still all over the clothes, and since we are using less soap, I dont think our clothes are actually getting cleaned. When we wash a load of whites, they arent getting cleaned at all, even when we use bleach. In fact, when I compare brand new undergarments with recently bought undergarments that have been washed a few times, the ones that have been washed a few times are noticeably different in color, they are actually starting to turn grey in color.I have used Affresh in the washing machine, per the manufacturers suggestion, numerous times. We had thought maybe that was the problem. But even the load right after the Affresh treatment leaves the white residue or does not get the clothes cleaned. This washing machine was close to $700.00, and I feel that for that amount of money, I should be able to expect clean clothes. I have never had a problem with a Whirlpool product before, so I had no qualms about purchasing this washing machine. At first, I thought maybe it just needed to get broken in, that it would stop leaving the residue after it had been used a few times. However, that has not been the case. I have tried everything I can think of to improve the performance of this washing machine, but nothing helps. When I contacted the local appliance store to complain, they suggested I cut back on the soap. I told them that I had tried that and it didnt work. They told me to use Affresh, I told them I did that. I asked them if they would take the washing machine back; let me trade it in for something else. I would even be willing to get a cheaper washing machine, I just wanted something that worked. They told me they couldnt do that. Even though I was still under warranty, unless it was broke, they couldnt do anything, and even then, all they could do would be to try to fix it. They couldnt take it back and give me a different washing machine. The experience I have had with this washing machine is the worst experience I have ever had with an appliance. I had always thought of Whirlpool as a trusted brand for appliances, but if this washing machine is any indication of how they now makes appliances, I will never buy another one of their shoddy products again; and you can guarantee I will be telling my friends, family, and coworkers not to buy Whirlpool products either.

Bought water heater from Lowes in 2016. 4 days ago I came home to find water all over garage and a burnt smell coming from the water heater. Whirlpools warranty department is absolutely horrible. I spent 3 days sending pictures of the water heater, circuit breakers and water on garage floor with cc sent to my husbands email account and mine. Each day I would telephone the warranty department and told that they never received pictures and they couldnt do anything until they received the pictures. I asked for a supervisor who wouldnt even come to the phone. Both my husband and myself received the pics and email just fine. A representative said they have firewalls and things attached so that they cant receive attachments and downloads. So I sent directly from my phone and they still claimed they never received. They refused to give me contact phone numbers for supervisors. Out of frustration I called the Lowes store where I purchased and a store representative spent 4 hours making phone calls trying to help. She was completely frustrated as well. I was told even though there is a 6 year warranty, I am to pay parts and labor and that the repair company for my area that Whirlpool utilizes doesnt even deal with Whirlpool parts so that whatever is needed would have to be ordered! Im on day 4 of no hot water, this is absolutely ridiculous. I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product! This product was installed by Lowes and inspected by the state, not a DIY!

We have had to replace the lid lock twice, then the cycle knob would only work on the normal cycle. Last week it started to sound like it was going to take off! Had a repairman come and the bearings went out in it, will cost almost $500 to fix! Not spending another dime on this junk! I purchased a new washer today (not a Whirlpool either!)

I am the owner of a 4-year-old stainless steel Whirlpool refrigerator, Model GB9SHDXPS02. Yesterday morning, my 5-year-old daughter opened the fridge door to get a snack. The door came crashing down, hit the floor - missing my 21-month-old daughter by less than two feet - the drawer smashed off on impact and flew across the kitchen floor and the contents of the drawer (salad dressings, syrup, condiments, etc) went flying too. Miraculously, no one was hurt. My children were obviously upset and crying, and I was shaken. My laminate floor has a large dent and long scratch from the impact. My fridge door is broken. I cannot get through to Whirlpool Canadas corporate office to speak to anyone. The Whirlpool Canada call center is giving me the runaround. Yesterday I spoke to a supervisor at the call center who advised me that someone from the Corporate Safety Division would phone me within 24 hours - but I have not received a phone call and it has been more than 24 hours. I am noticing a complete disconnect between the gravity of the situation and an appropriate response from Whirlpool. I am a mother of 4 small children - two of which were very nearly killed/badly injured by a faulty refrigerator door. I cant even get a phone call in response. This is a serious safety issue. Im tired of apologies, some real action needs to be taken to ensure this never happens again to any consumer.

I purchased the Whirlpool Duet June 2011. Within two weeks, it was tearing my clothes. It didnt matter how little of a load it was, they still ripped. Five months later, my machine was leaking water. The repair man came out. I told him it was also tearing my clothes. His only response was dont load it to full. Well, I called the store where I purchased it and they are sending a repair man out again. I told them to either fix this from ripping my clothes or I was going to take a hammer to the machine and never buy a Whirlpool again or give them a good reference. I also called Whirlpool directly and told them of my problem and they acted like they had never heard of this happening before. I told them to search the internet because everyone is having the same complaint! I had a Fridgidaire front loader for 9 years and never had a problem with it eating my clothes.

Whirlpool 27 cu.ft french door bottom mount WrF989SDAH White - We took delivery of this ice making fridge mid-September from Sears Canada. 3 weeks later we have ice at the ceiling/wall seam at the back inside the fridge. Water collects along the rubber seal of the freezer drawer which we have to mop up. We said we were not going to use the water/ice maker and its not even hooked up. Water comes down through the water dispenser onto the panel which we also mop up. Moisture in fridge. Temp settings are as factory specified. Whirlpool authorized tech guy gave us the inside info. Hes seen so many design problems with this model and what Whirlpool do is order the tech guys to say to customers we can order the parts and fix it. Whirlpool keep discovering and modifying the problems but you are not allowed a refund off the bat because the tech guys authorized & sent out by Whirlpool are not allowed to give a report to the retailer or say its design defective. So the customer has shelled out money and has to have band-aids left, right and center. Went to Sears to ask for a refund. They refused because tech guy wont give a report to them (but what do we really know eh? Because the tech guy stood in my kitchen and gave a verbal report to Sears but nothing written). So Im in the hole for a crap product that is only a few weeks old and Whirlpool and Sears have got us over a barrel. The tech guy said he was going to challenge their tech line now because hes upset at how many of these band-aid fridges hes seeing now. I want a different brand and model and cant have it because Sears dont have it. In dire straits now.

I love the convection cook top! It is very responsive. Its about as responsive as gas, which saves a significant amount of electricity! But, it is WAY easier to keep clean. I also love the warming burner! Having that 5th burner in which to keep something warm, while you finish other things in the oven or on one of the regular burners is very helpful. Its also great for melting butter. The ability of the oven to delay the start of cooking and program cooking to finish at a certain time or in a certain amount of time is also very useful when you cant attend to starting or stopping cooking in the oven.

Included was a 3-yr anything goes wrong, well replace for free warranty. A month after the purchase, we lost our home and were forced to move. We put the new appliances in storage and they have been there ever since. From the day we purchased the washer, we never got a clean wash out of it. It seemed it used about a teaspoon of water. Clothes were never clean... We had many other problems at the time and both washer and dryer were put into storage.Today, the warranty has long expired and I happened to check on the ConsumerAffairs site to see if there were any comments regarding whirlpool Cabrio washers... WOW! 1600 negative comments and not one positive. Later, I realize we made a $1700 mistake. My question is do I have any recourse? Please advise.

They are repairing it and sold it again and again so the quality of the board is question mark. As a customer I / we cannot spend money and change board every year. I purchased this refrigerator and have had problems with it from almost the beginning. First, the doors wholl not stay open long enough to remove items. The technician Whirlpool sent out said the cause was an uneven floor. I checked with a level and the floor is almost completely even. So, then it said thats the way it was intended to work. Isnt that what the adjustment wheels on the bottom are supposed to correct? They dont. One individual in Whirlpools customer service department told me that the doors were not a functional part of the fridge and, therefore were not covered by the warranty. What?Next the refrigerator leaked and ruined the ceiling in the floor below. A few weeks after that was fixed (the fridge, not the ceiling), the unit completely shut down and I lost a tremendous amount of food. Bad enough to have to go through this but then to have Whirlpool treat me so the horribly was absurd. Fridge broke on Friday and a service person came out on Wednesday. Tech tells me he has to order the part (control box) and I find out the next day that the part was on back order. I had already been without a fridge for a week when Whirlpool tells me the part was not available until 9/19 (this was on 8/6)! That was not an acceptable solution so I requested a refund or a new fridge. Nope, their job is to repair, not replace. They said they needed 7-10 days to see if they could get the part earlier. What? Then if it couldnt be repaired in a reasonable amount of time they would consider replacing the appliance. They would not define reasonable amount of time.I believe I spoke to about 10 or 12 different whirlpool reps, and was told 4 times that a supervisor would return my call. One person did call back when I was unable to answer the phone and I called her back within 20 minutes. Guess what, she wasnt available and she never responded to my 3 return calls. When I complained that I had spoken to so many different people and was tired of telling the fridge saga to yet another person who would not help me, she volunteered to be my point person. She gave me her direct extension and said she would handle my case. I left 3 or 4 messages for her and she never returned my call. In other words, I was constantly told that I would receive return calls but never did. In summary, no one cared that I had an almost brand new Whirlpool refrigerator that was not working and that the date I could expect a repair was indefinite. In addition to all of that, every time I called they were experiencing a high call volume. Maybe they could hire more staff? When this all started, Home Depot told me I had to go through Whirlpool because it was under their warranty for the first year. Finally I decided to go to the store (after all, I did pay them for the fridge). After 3.5 hours in Home Depot, they agreed to replace the refrigerator. I havent gotten it yet (they did send over a small loaner), I am really hoping this is the end of this fiasco. I want my life back!! !

We got a DEAL for this nightmare for nearly $700 back in 2014. Nothing but problems. Constantly finding plastic pieces at the bottom... some identifiable; others not. They are from the cheap parts within. The control board lights (all but 1 works) went just after the 1 yr mark. We are now having to replace the top Rack Adjuster (MORE CHEAP PLASTIC), as it has been barely hanging on for the last year and a half... constantly fighting it, as it would drop all the dishes if you moved it wrong. Now, the water is not draining at all... period. We clean this religiously - always rinse dishes completely, use rinse aid, never stuff dishes. Today we find a random plastic piece, which we are now trying to identify. NOTE: we dont put plastics in the dishwasher. So, today a new plastic piece and major drain problems. We are in the market and purchasing a new French Door Refrigerator and Front Load Washer. Will NOT be going with anything Whirlpool. Not much better these days, but this name has a big RED NO for us. Made it even worse when we contacted for help after that 1 yr mark. NO HELP AT ALL.

My Cabrio dryer has been through four door latches and I finally realize that the issue is that the latch and the protruding part do not line up evenly. This breaks the latches. Help!

My 50 Gallon water heater is still under warranty, model #051718153. The water heater shuts down after a few minutes. Theres a sound of a leak inside the tank. They would not replace the tank; theyd only replace parts. We have already replaced the outer control box and the double burner, and theres nothing else to replace except the tank, which they refuse to do so. If I had called them and said theres water coming out from the heater, theyd have agreed to send me a new tank, but honesty doesnt work.

My wife and I bought a Whirlpool water heater NU50T121-403, SER# 0733323 as we researched online the best efficient water heater for the money... which was actually more than we budgeted for. We purchased it from LOWES and our Plumber had to return the first heater due to a huge dent on the outside of the body once it was removed from the box. LOWES replaced it, no problem and he installed it. GREAT, HOT water for about six (6) months. Pilot light went out and has continued failing after relighting numerous times! Now we have the four (4) blinks indicating that the Honeywell gas control needs to be replaced only after 27 months of use. Whirlpool offers 12 year warranty on tank & parts, but come to find out, not this part. We were both raised on Whirlpool products and thought we based on our parents successes of various Whirlpool products, we were buying quality brand. We were soon disappointed and will never buy another Whirlpool manufactured Brand again!!

Whirlpool WRT351SFYW 21.1 cu.ft. White Top Freezer Refrigerator - Energy...
Whirlpool WRT351SFYW 21.1 cu.ft. White Top Freezer Refrigerator - Energy... Puts out a very irritating high pitch noise, unlike my previous Whirlpool Refrig. The old one was perfectly quiet. I believe Whirlpool is going down hill in every way. WP is buying refrigerators from 3rd world countries and slapping the name on them. The delivery people were very rude with me when I was unable to give them a tip, even though I had to supply my truck to shuttle the refrig. up to my house and help them unload it. I also had to go and find them when they would not follow my directions to my house. So, they kept the wrench I loaned them; they did not have their own tools for the installation. And they refused to return it when I asked them to do so. Denvers customer service refused to respond in any way to my requests for information or complaints about the noise and delivery. Finally, their head office contacted me a month or two later, and the customer service person had initiated the discussion in argumentative attitude despite my saying I did not care anymore. I gave up on them and dont expect anything from Whirlpool anymore. While she told me that there are standard levels of acceptable noise that come from their refrigerator, she refused to acknowledge that they are not my standards, and I am the customer. Besides, I had an older Whirlpool refrig. that did not make any noise. I am sorry trusted WP. When I tried to upgrade the old refrig. - it was an expensive downgrade! Buy LG or Amana - wished I did!

My stove hasnt been a problem from the start. I have had to buy two parts one for the oven, and the top. I feel my stove is dangerous. I would not buy a Whirlpool again. I would like to know who makes the stove that dont costs a arm and a leg. My stove is less than five-year old.

Im so disappointed with this product. Its only a couple of years old, which seems fairly new as my old washer was over 20 years old when I finally got rid of it because of the noise it was making! First, the Cabrio stopped draining and spinning, even though the display showed that the cycle was done. Phoned Whirlpool, and the best they could do was send out a repairman - at our cost, of course! We refused, and kept using the machine - put it on for an extra drain and spin. Then, it stopped working completely! My husband hauled it out to a repair shop and was told it needs a new motherboard at a cost of $400 plus labor! This was an expensive washing machine, and I feel Whirlpool should offer its customers better service! I guess we need to buy a new machine - definitely not Whirlpool!!

The fridge had been leaking just a little for a while until the leak picked up and left a puddle. Turns out this plastic tube connector cracked. Seems a very poorly designed fit that caused the bend in the plastic to rupture. Now the whole tube and what I think is the water inlet valve will need to be replaced.
